We traveled for a college visit. I was looking for a hotel somewhat close to the campus. When we checked in, the check in desk lady, was very friendly and professional, telling us where everything was, without us even asking us. We needed extra pillows, so she followed us to our room, so we wouldn't have to come back to the desk to get more.. she also greeted us and thanked us for being rewards members. I forgot her name, but she was truly exceptional. The breakfast attendant was awesome as well. Very friendly and talkative with the guests...made sure the hot foods stayed hot, and if anyone needed something, he'd get it for them, or answer any questions, any of the guests had. He even helped me with the waffle batter, while I was trying to pour it into the cup. Just an overall Exceptional experience at this Best Western.....clean, friendly, and professional....I will definitely stay here again!!
This hotel dont care about anything they steal money they like drama and if your not smart enough they will steal money in your face the rooms have bed bugs and the head housekeeper smokes weed and drinks in the rooms the general managers dont care about anything they have unsanitary ways to clean and to make breakfast they will put up green roten eggs from 4 days ago they let pee sit on the matreses till dry because they dont have any special vacuum to clean that up so your risk
Check in was a difficult process because for some reason the people in front of us took forever, allegedly there was a computer problem, whatever. But that wasn't the problem. The real problem was this property is rundown, and when we checked into the room it's stunk with an odor that I can't fully describe, but think musty, heated, nasty. On top of that the room was very hot. We were tired and no mood for this nonsense and just went to the Holiday Inn. Didn't even tell anybody. Just so bad we left. I've had pretty good luck with Best Western, and this property has no business being in their brand. What a nightmare.
Worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. The door handle was broke and PULL UP was written above the handle as it would not work if you pushed the handle down. There was hair left in the jacuzzi, the carpet was torn and frayed. The TV remote did not work, desk lamp kept going dim, jacuzzi would turn off and back on every few minutes. Staff did not seem to care.
They have clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great breakfast options. The staff is attentive to your needs
Close to K-state University, easy to get in & out of. Nice clean hotel & quiet area. Just a few minutes to shopping & dining. Staff was friendly & helpful. Connie was super!
This was a very satisfactory stay. It was quiet, clean and staffed with extremely staff. Breakfast was wonderful with a HUGE selection of hot and cold items. Great location.
Very Wonderful Hotel. The only issues was disappointed in pool. It was green due to the heater going down it wasn't cleaned. Overall everything was great. Breakfast was amazing the bed in the room was so comfortable. I will stay again.
Overall it was a better stay than our previous one. The coffee pot in the room had not been cleaned in awhile. The fridge was plugged in but not working didn't keep out items cold. The pool was closed for maintenance and we were not told that at check in or didn't advertise that before booking. Overall it was good. Breakfast was better and had more options available than other past hotels. Do not have elevators incase you can't use stairs.
Several family members stayed here when we gathered for a birthday celebration at my nephew's home in Manhattan. We have stayed at Best Westerns across the continental US, and this is by far the worst place we've ever stayed. All the other family members agreed it was a terrible place. The carpets in the hallways and rooms badly needed vacuuming and cleaning. The toilets made a horrendous noise when flushed. One family member said his bathtub didn't drain. Light bulbs were out in several rooms. The breakfast was horrible. Coffee was lukewarm and frequently empty. Waffle maker was broken. Pastries were Hostess products like Twinkies.
We went for a family reunion so we had 3 rooms total here. The breakfast was poor quality and food was often gone before the allotted time. Our tub would not drain. Lighting was missing or poor. Carpets in hall and rooms needed vacuuming. We often stay at Best Westerns and have never had such a poor experience.
They don't have an elevator first off. By 7:24 am the breakfast was empty. Our room door didn't lock if no one was in the room. We were to stay 3 nights but left after 1. The desk lamp flickered so it wasn't usable and the internet buffered every 3-4 minutes.
The bed was very good and the staff was great. Our carpet in the room had some cigarette burns. It was a non-smoking room. The carpet was not real clean. The shower and the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast had no warm food due to an electrical issue we were told. The breakfast area floor was sticky and we assumed it was from food residue.
Best Western in Manhattan is close to dining and shopping and the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is better than expected. It included make your own waffles to scrambled eggs and bacon to biscuits and gravy along with fresh orange juice. If you are in a hurry, you can grab a breakfast bar or pastry. Would highly recommend the Best Western in Manhattan, KS
The staff was very friendly. Pool was working but not heated ( being fixed). The breakfast options were great and the room we stayed in felt and appeared very clean. Needed extra towels but the staff was very accommodating. Thank you Best Western!
Our stay here was very nice during a difficult time. We brought our dog to Kstate for medical testing. Enrique one of the mangers was very personable and helpful. He even gave us advice on good places to eat. Everyone at this hotel was very accommodating with our needs and our animals needs. Definitely an animal friendly hotel!
The breakfast is very delicious! Lots of choices! This place is a comfortable place to stay for a weekend getaway. The room was nice. We were on the second floor, which they don't have an elevator. It was a quiet area. The indoor pool heater was broken. That was very disappointing to our 2 kids.
Was over charged my stay and it still has not been taken care of like I was told. Door was broke, super hard to open and close, light in the bathroom wouldn't turn on every time it was turn on. Place is definitely in need of some updates!
It was very clean & everyone was nice. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was fantastic! The room was spacious and included a microwave, fridge, large TV, and closet with full body mirror. It's a great stay for an even greater price.
When I arrived, the only employee was taking a cigarette break immediately outside the front door. When she asked if I was checking in, I said”yes”. She acted like it was a hassle to come inside and check me in. I had reserved a king bed room 6 months prior to my stay. When I checked in I was told the only rooms available had one queen bed. The bed described as “queen” was actually a full-size bed. The mattress was extremely worn-out and uncomfortable. The room smelled awful. There was something smeared on the wall that I was too grossed out to examine. There were insects in the room, burned out lightbulbs and a missing fire detector with wires hanging from the ceiling. I tried calling every hotel in Manhattan that night to find another room. If I could have found another room, I would have switched hotels.
stayed one night for Mizzou-KState FB game, hotels jack up their rates on game weekends and selection is limited but the rate was reasonable, booked a king room but was placed in a queen but was placed in 1st floor room as requested (2 floors without elevator), internet speed needs improvement, big TV but not the best picture, back entrances were locked, hotel locked it's front entrance late and had to call front desk to be let in, temperature on mini frig was set at the highest nearly freezing my drinks, AC was running at full blast at low temp when I entered room despite large temperature drop in forecast, small indoor pool, staff was polite and check in and check out process a little slow, I'd probably stay somewhere else if selection wasn't limited
Awesome staff Kamden the general manager was great the pool was down but with the friendly and accommodating staff it didn't really matter to me definitely will be staying here and other best westerns from now on!!!!
I booked five rooms and called three times in the month leading up to the stay to confirm I had all five rooms booked. When I arrived, it took over an hour for them to learn they had DOUBLE BOOKED me and I only had four rooms. Although frustrating, I told them we could make it work (because what other choice did I have?), but I asked for a discount on the rooms as this was a massive inconvenience. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating, said they could give a discount and would need to call the manager to confirm that. The manager, Kamden Lainer, has the absolute worst customer service skills of any manager at any hotel I have ever been at. He was incredibly RUDE to me when I politely tried to explain that he had double booked me after I had called three times, I'd been waiting over 90 minutes for this to get sorted and would simply appreciate the discount the front desk offered. Instead of just agreeing to the discount, he attempted to negotiate with me. Essentially, it was coming down to the principle of the matter. I told him that and calmly said I was upset. When I asked to speak to someone else above him because he was being very rude, he told me he was in charge of the hotel and I could either pay what he told me to or check out right now (at 11pm). And then I was hung up on. When I went down to the front desk in the morning to settle the bill, the manager was there in person. I told him I was very upset as a paying customer for how I was treated last night on the phone and I thought it was incredibly rude TO BE HUNG UP ON. He actually said "I'm not having this conversation with you" and then took his cell phone out and stared at his cell phone to intentionally ignore me with the front desk between us. I told him that as a manager of a hotel customer service is critical, and I was met with silence. I have NEVER experienced worse customer service in my life by such a disorganized, rude, unprofessional manager. I will not be staying at a Best Western for a very long time because of this horrible experience. How customers are treated is very critical to me - it wasn't the quibble about the discount itself for me, it's the principle of the matter. This was a mistake I was patiently overlooking and all I wanted was a reasonable discount for having to put five people in a room and an apology. Never received either.
They were replacing the roof, hotel should have been closed for the construction. Noise was terrible shook the building. Bathroom was filthy, paint peeling off the walls floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. They vacuumed the hall at 6 am. Desk clerk turned off our door key at 7am the morning we were to check out, so we could not get back into our room after breakfast to pack. Breakfast was terrible to say the least, yogurt had expired in 2016, 6 years ago. No TV remote in the room. The chair in the room was filthy, had something spilled down the side and was never cleaned, the stain had turned black. Carpet in the room and hall was filthy, you could see were coffee had been spilled and never cleaned. Housekeeping never came and cleaned, they just dropped off toilet paper, we had to put it in the bathroom. Never made the beds. I have stayed at numerous hotels in my lifetime, some bad and some good. This was the worst.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was not very clean. We had a lot of lint/grass/hair in our bed, but the other bed was clean. The tv was a pain to work and the bathroom floors were sticky and the walls needed some TLC. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfy. The pool was empty.
My family and I truly enjoyed our 4 day stay. Helpful staff. My family loved the breakfast. Nice selection on breakfast and drinks. Plenty of towels. Access to washer and dryer was super convenient for our family.
Our stay was great! The staff is very personable while still being professional. Our room was clean and we got it for a great price. It's a perfect setting for families. You still have some of the shopping around you but you're not right in the middle of everything which allowed us a quiets night sleep.
As title says. Staff is great. I would stay here again if passing through since the price was so cheap. Hot breakfast with real eggs, but biscuits and gravy were awful. But it was included, so no biggie.
We chose this hotel due to its reviews and ratings. We liked that it had a pool, gym, and free breakfast. We found out when we arrived that there is no elevator but our room was on the second floor which can be difficult to access with suitcases. On the second floor on the way to our room at 8pm at night, there was housekeeping trash bags littered through the hallway, and a sheet pile that we literally had to step over. In our room, it was clean, but we had no bars of soap and no washcloths. We were tired so waited until the next morning to let the front staff know. They apologized and said it would be fixed. We left the hotel at 7:30 am. When we returned after a long 14 hour day of training at KSU, we found that our room had been untouched all day....beds not made, no washcloths, no soap. I went down to front desk (very tired) and let them know. They gave us everything we needed and a very pale excuse that a housekeeping staff walked out that day, and they THOUGHT they had found all the rooms that had not been cleaned, but apparently missed ours. They did not offer any discounts to us and we were still charged full price. On the positive, the hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was good. But we were not impressed with the overall management and will not return.
Definitely stayed at better best westerns. Needs new flooring. The shower was not attached to the wall. It was just dirty and not pleasant. The staff needed to be more professional. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were soft and comfortable. There was a great selection of hot and cold items for breakfast. I appreciated having almond milk available. We arrived late so we appreciated that they gave us a late check out.
Front desk was helpful and the location was great, breakfast was good. Stairs were kind of dirty and there was no elevator. But the service made up for that, nice little hotel right on the outside of Manhattan
I stayed here in the past. Not much if anything has been done to improve the exterior of the property. The indoor pool was broke down during this stay due to lack of repair parts. The staff were awesome. The breakfast was great. The room was comfortable.
Best Western did not disappoint. Quality, cleanliness, friendliness were all top notch. Extension of stay was handled efficiently by staff. Breakfast quality and variety was tops. Would recommend this hotel
This is a very nice basic hotel, we were in town for a group sporting event. The hotel staff was friendly, everything was clean and in working order. This is a nice hotel, would recommend and will stay here again.
The hotel staff was great. They were all really nice. The amenities lack. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were too soft. The breakfast was terrible. The juice was warm and the he food was not good.
I have stayed many times at this Best Western and have never been disappointed in their staff or rooms. Even when I forgot to book my room until a few hours before I would arrive I was treated with such respect and concern for the comfort of my stay they have truly earned my loyalty
When I travel to Manhattan, the value and convenience of this hotel is great! Beds and pillows are comfortable, and the room, lobby and breakfast areas are very clean! The staff is very friendly and helpful. A great value!!!!!
Was not sure what to expect with the various reviews posted about the hotel so my expectations where not too high. I have to say they far exceeded my expectations! The room was clean, roomy and homey. The room had everything I could have wanted: TV, dresser, microwave, coffee station, frig, desk and chair, chair and ottoman and a very comfortable bed. The pool was open and their breakfast had wonderful hot food, yogurt, cereal, bagels and pastry. I have back problems so having a good bed is a must. The room was not ready at check in time, but I was able to check in and come back later without going to the front desk again. This was expected but it was not an issue. They had 44 people check out and only 2 housekeepers, they were very busy but like I said my room was very clean and comfy. I would rather have clean then for the housekeepers to rush to have it done on time. The front desk clerk was wonderful and oh so nice. She gave me suggestions on things to do to occupy my time until the room was ready. I was a single lady staying in a town I have not stayed in before, but I felt safe and slept very well. I am so glad I already made reservations here for next month when we visit again. Thank you Best Western! You are always a wonderful place to stay.
If you can avoid staying at the BW in Manhattan until the owner makes major improvements, I would definitely think ahead and choose someplace else! If it weren't for the nice front desk staff, I wouldn't have many positive comments about the hotel. As I am limited in characters I can provide, I will just give bullet points: -Carpet on main floor stained/bleached most of the way down the hall -Carpet on both floors should be professionally cleaned or replaced -No elevator (surprised us since this is a chain hotel in a D1 college town) -Ice machine not working and appears to have been for some time -Breakfast offered was not what was advertised in pics. No eggs, no milk with the cereal they offered (Could no one really just not go and buy several gallons and bring them back to offer?), bananas offered were beyond overly ripe and sunken in -Gummies, half eaten granola bars, and trash left in drawer in the desk in our room -Bathroom vents too loud, almost sound broken -Bath/Shower water barely warm -Door left ajar upon our arrival, causing me to not have to use my room key to get in, and concerned if -someone else was in the room -Allowing a large SUV to park in a fire zone right by the building the entire weekend. Also, this decreased the field of vision for all other vehicles entering and exiting the premises in an already narrow driveway. +Parking is ample for the size of the hotel, but it needs to be BOTH cleaned up and repaired. -Landscaping needs attention - overgrowth and gravel all over sidewalk and some in parking lot. +/-Stay was extremely friendly and asked if there was anything we needed but when you already have signs up saying sorry it's not working/available and there are no other rooms available in town, what can you do??? Staff just working with what they have. Most of these problems have to do with management/ownership. Do better.
Hotel was dirty, stairwell had trash all over it. Hall not vacuumed. Staff did not relay information that our bathroom light did not work. There was no elevator and had to carry all luggage up stairs. When they could not fix the bathroom light we had to lug everything back downstairs to another room. No one helped. They did not care.
although breakfast modified due to covid-19, i feel items should have been replenished more often. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Pool water was a little chilly. Staff was very nice and professional.
Had to wait 2 hours and 20 minutes for a room that I had a reservation for. The mattress was a double for two adults and worn out (sagged to the middle). The HVAC was noisy and kept us awake all night. The lamp on one of the night stands didn't work. This property was short staffed and unable to handle normal day-to-day business.
We made a reservation ahead, when we got there at 5:00 our room was not ready. Check in is 3:00 but they told us it would be ready in just a little while. We went to dinner came back and they had given our room away. Then we had to wait until 7:30 to check in while they were still cleaning our room. They had just a bad mattress that we couldn't sleep and was very sore when we got up. We will not be returning
I booked online with no idea how much I would love this place! The staff was amazing. Location is great! Staff went above and beyond multiple times for my family and I. I will for sure be back to stay here!
Disappointed with our stay being this hotel is in the top 10 of places to stay in Manhattan and had higher expectations. Pool was out of order and appears to have been for some time. We even called ahead to ask if the pool was open. Told it was. Well it was if you wanted to swim in ice cold water!!!! Son very disappointed. Bathroom door lock was broke. Ac on the old side and hard to keep room set at comfortable range. Beds are on the well worn in side. Very saggy and roll to the middle is putting it nicely. On the plus side breakfast was good.
Checked in and the elevator wasn't working. No bed bug covers on the beds, red flag. Black flecks/debris on the mattress. Asked for a different room, staff accommodated. Got another room, bed bug staining on mattress. Left immediately. Pool also not available.
The deadbolt did not work and after the "fix" we were basically locked in our room. We had to use a card on the inside to "jimmy rig" the latches to open. 1 person had to stay in the room at all times or we couldn't get back into our room from the outside. So thankful we didn't need to evacuate the room quickly for an emergency!
breakfast lady was amazing. Front desk accommodating and friendly lemon water in lobby loved! Issues with room door not shutting all the way without pulling as well as entrance into hotel from outside that required key card not closing all the way
Clean, friendly staff, overall good but no hot tub as listed on website was told there are rooms with hot tubs in them. very loud shower. Beds are comfortable, pillows could be better. Towels are soft. pool available, did not use.
The heated pool and Ms. Ree cooking up scratch food are the highlights. The staff was nice. The rest needs some TLC. Bathrooms are icy cold, bed was broken down and uncomfortable. The whole place needs a facelift where you can't see the stitches and scars.
Having enjoyed many prior stays here, my daughter and I returned last week. Needing to fly out the next morning from the Manhattan airport became a worrisome challenge as ice and snow conditions worsened. The front desk gals assisted with taxi info, gave us a later check-out when the flights were delayed; maintenance fellow offered to assist us in getting to our car in that awful icing, housekeepers were so sweet! (Not to mention, room was great and breakfast was nice as always) Many heartfelt thanks to these Best Western folks!
This facility was OK. The hotel has one building with two floors with no elevator. The parking is along the NE side of the building and there are only two entrance/exits on each end of the building (NW/SE). We did like the breakfast and the attendant was very friendly. I thought that the 16,000 points per night (2 nights) was a little high for the facility.
Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Rooms were clean and very tastefully decorated. Very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Beds were comfortable and the pillows are to die for!!! Would love pillows like that at home!
Good place for the price but could use and elevator and more outlets in the rooms. Maybe some USB ports would help. Staff was very friendly and did offer us a 1st floor room due to daughter being on crutches.
I got an extra $45 charge on my card and didn't receive an email or notice to what it was for. When I called the front desk they told me two towels had stains on them, they told me they consider makeup a stain! That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. You're going to charge you customers $45 for washing there face. I only use an all natural mini foundation I've never had a problem getting it out of anything, and that's the only makeup a wear. Had just signed up for rewards but won't be staying with that chain again if that's how they operate.
We stayed here the 1st weekend in Dec. 2019. When we walked into to hotel to check in the smell of mold/mildew hit me like a mack truck. If my husband hadn't already paid for the night I would have just turned around & stayed at the hotel next door. We got our room key & thank god our room was on the other end away from the lobby/breakfast/pool. Our room while it had a slight funky smell it was nowhere near as bad as what hit me when we walked in. We really didn't stay here long, we dropped our stuff in the room & went out & about. When we returned after 10PM the smell in the lobby wasn't near as strong but still there. As other posters have said they desperately need to vacuum the stairs. There was no elevator that I saw anywhere. There is a pool right by the lobby but we didn't use it or even go in the room that houses the pool. I suspect there is a ventilation issue or some other issue with the pool causing the horrid stench. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, bananas & such for breakfast. In the morning there was still a slight moldy/mildew odor you could smell in the breakfast room. I would suspect that is why no one was eating breakfast, it looked like a pretty average hotel breakfast. The room itself was pretty average & bug free :) maybe a bit worn but fairly clean & unlike stairs it was vacuumed. If whatever is causing the smell was taken care of I would stay here again but if all stays as it is now I would not.
Best Western......u need to vacuum! Overall, my room was nice, but it felt dirty in the hallways and staircase. The breakfast was typical for the price I paid. The front desk attendant, Sam, was nice, but he made me go out into the cold nite to get my license plate number. Who does that!?!?
This hotel was absolutely wonderful. Very clean, friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Clean room. Very safe location! We will definitely come back! Sam was great at check in along with the rest of the staff. Very pet friendly too!
My stay at the Best Western Manhattan Inn was a pleasure. My room was extremely clean, I couldn't hear any noises from any of the other guests, the complimentary breakfast was way more than I expected. All the staff was very accommodating to all the guests. I would reccomend this place to everyone. My sister is a travel agent who booked this hotel for me and I immediately called her to let her know how great this place is. Thank you.
We stay often at this hotel for business. They do their best to accommodate those of us who can not climb the stairs. This is however one of the last hotels who do not have a elevator. It would be beneficial for them to add one
Despite the severe drop in temperature from a balmy 65° day to a crisp 30° wake up. Hotel is well insulated and rarely used the heater. The drawback of this hotel is there is no elevator. I fortunately am physically capable to handle luggage. The desk clerk did offer to assist if I so chose.
This may have been a nice hotel. I dont know. I asked to cancel or change my reservation but was not allowed to, due to "a big football weekend". We all know this room could have been rented out to someone who would actually stay here, (like I got someone to stay on saturday) but the hotel wouldn't let me CHANGE my reservation to a different weekend. I guess when my son graduates from KSU in May this hotel WON'T be getting my business!
I had good experience here. Staff are friendly. They let us to extend our check out time until 12.30 pm. Breakfast is nice but I hope the management can serve scramble egg separately from meat/beef because I cannot take meat due to religious obligation.
This hotel was in a convient location for the Mall. The lobby area has a good first impression, but the room decor and overall maintance is a little dated. The first room we were put in had a musty smell, but the second room was fine. The bed slept comfortable.
Good management. Took care of problem that we mentioned and moved us to a second room. (it was a stinky chemical smell probably due to carpet cleaner). We didn't mention the second issue, but should have. The back door that we used was never shut/latched. There was always someone out there smoking. It felt very insecure. It would not shut and lock. We were there 3 nights.
The staff members of this establishment are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also quite good. Rooms are satisfactory. and quite clean. Beds are comfortable. It also has washer dryer which had been helpful
the staff was good. The rooms were not as good , they were clean but older out dated and a little rundown. Not enough outlets for my phones and CPAP . smelled musty in one room. the bathroom door knob looked like someone had to break out.
I stay almost exclusively at Best Western properties during my frequent travels because of their outstanding rewards program. But this property does not meet the usual standards, and i would have stayed elsewhere had I known in advance.
This location while it looked nice from the outside, was less than quality and fell short of our expectations. There was a barking dog down the hall and our room was very damp inside. Staff took care of the dog but the moisture made for an uncomfortable sleep.
I stayed here for 3 nights. There was an awful smell throughout the entire building during the entire time we were there. The smell in the bathroom was unbearable to the point I'd gag just opening the door. The staff was great and on the plus side I got a lot of overtime just so I didnt have to go back to the hotel.
The room was clean, the water pressure in the shower was amazing! Great breakfast with lots of choices! Great location with shopping mall in walking distance. Very close to gas station and grocery store.
Was a great stay... visit w family staff was great room was great...and exercise room was great...breakfast was great ms ree n alicia made sure I had breakfast b4 6am when I was checking out even though it didnt start til 630 wonderful staff
I have stayed at other BW hotels and been satisfied. This one is in serious need of deep cleaning and repairing the guest rooms. plaster in the bathroom seems to be 'melting' down the corners into a pool of plaster dust in the corners. Carpeting in the whole room felt gummy and sticky plus several areas that had been patched were sorely obvious and fraying. The noise level throughout was hard to ignore ... when you can hear neighboring rooms flush the toilet, it's definitely not restful! The staff was nice.
This property is smaller so it is quieter. Easy to get to for college events. It is on the moderate to lower cost range. The breakfast was more than adequate. We didn't actually spend much time here but the bed was comfortable.
The room had issues with the mattresses (saggy), shower curtain (rod falling), and refrigerator (falling over). The bathroom light also made a loud buzzing noise when turned on. I am not planning on staying here when I return to Manhattan.
We spent the night here after a day at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, on our way to Iowa, and were very satisfied. The rooms are indoors, not facing the parking lot. We were greeted by Sam the room clerk, who was very pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed some of the huge jar of pretzels on the desk with coffee and those wonderfully melting peppermints. Sam got us all straight, checked to make sure we had no needs, and recommended the BEST burger place in Manhattan KS (Ana's Burger Shack), which we enjoyed. The room was just right, a very comfortable king sized bed, great hot water, quiet, with the usual breakfast included. I appreciated safety bars on the shower, and a matt. On the morning of checkout, I realized the sole had detached from my sandals, and came to the desk and asked Alicia if she would have any Gorilla Glue....and amazingly she had a small bottle in the desk, gave me a dose, and lent me a clip to hold the shoe together for 15 minutes. This hotel was just perfect for our needs, and everyone was so nice!
Beautiful room with jacuzzi! I am a reward member and sometimes I receive an upgrade. The lobby had a very nice set up with tea, lemon water, prezels, mints. Breakfast has a very nice selection with hot items as well as cereals and muffins.
The staff was super helpful and attentive. Had answers for all questions and always had a smile! The rooms were nice and the area is walkable to several restaurants. I would say you will not be disappointed....
We used this Hotel for only 1 night. The room was clean and had everything we needed except for no USB plugs to charge our phones so make sure you have a wall charger. The air conditioner worked very well to the point that we had to turn the fan to low. But overall pleasant stay.
Great staff room was nice and close to a lot of places would definitely stay again . Son had baseball tournament.....worth the price and the. breakfast was good lots of choices. If your needing a place this hotel is the biggest bang for your buck
Overall we were satisfied with the stay my with and I were on a date night away from the kids and we reserved the Jacuzzi suite with a queen bed. The room was clean and upkept our only complaint would be that the bed was a bit worn and you could hear the springs squeaking when you were laying down. The staff was very friendly and helpful plus the location is quite conveniently located near all the major stores and restaurants. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others.
Pool was hot. Beds where not comfortable. Food area needed better chairs. Staff was friendly. Hot water was not hot at breakfast. Faucet was put in backwards for the temp selection. Room was clean. Thanks
The AC in our room worked but the floors definitely needed a good vacuum. Even in the hallway. We were there for a baseball tournament during some incredibly hot weather and our shower didn't even work well. The water barely trickled out of the shower head and the shower head leaked. There was one younger gentleman working the desk on the Saturday night that was not friendly and definitely could use some training in hospitality and how to talk with guests. If we go back, I would definitely stay somewhere else. Especially for the rate that we paid.
Our baseball team stayed here in June. Not having an elevator when you have all the sports equipment, luggage etc. is a pain. Workout equipment was broke. Not a lot of common area where you can hang out with a team or large group. Don't have teams stay at your hotel if you don't want lots of kids and or parents around. Manager was grouchy. Breakfast food was good.
Request first floor, if that is important to you, during reservation process. I didn't think about it and was forced to walk up stairs (I'm a senior citizen with aching knees) multiple times per day..
Easy to find and good location for my purposes. Nicely furnished and comfortable however I thought the finish of the bathrooms was lacking (baseboard mismatched and glue on floor as I recall). Overall tho, a good experience.
Very accommodating. Could not ask for friendlier staff. When we encountered one minor issue, they were on top of it to make it right. Highly recommend for group stays!!! Alicia and Monica were so awesome to work with.
We had an excellent stay at Manhattan Best Western. The room was nice and the customer service was excellent! I reccomend this hotel! Great price also! We have stayed at many hotels in the Manhattan area and this is the one we like the most
Nice clean place, staff very friendly, nice breakfast, just very very noisy, half inch of light around the door. Really need to insulate walls and seal doors. Also no hot water in the morning for showers.
The room was nice and clean. It had a microwave and a fridge. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was fantastic. There were so many choices. They even had extras you could mix in with your waffle mix, like chocolate chips. There was bacon, sausage biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns, and then cereal, muffins toast and so much more. The staff was staying on top of keeping everything filled and they were so nice. This hotel was a great deal. The price was great for our experience. We will definitely stay here again when in the area and I have told a lot of friends and colleagues about this hotel.
This hotel is great. They have have coffee, hot tea, iced tea, and lemon water constantly available in the lobby. The pool is nice, but there is no hot tub. I have always had excellent service here! The breakfast offered is a pretty good selection, too.
It was great! I would go back again and again! Alicia is an amazing manager, and Yolanda cleaned my room. Breakfast was great, lots and lots of food. All of it was warm. I felt very welcomed during my stay.
Check in was fine. Price was good. Side door of building which wasn't locked. Got to my room which had the door propped open. Shower had a few foreign hairs. The beds were clean. Won't stay here again.
We stayed overnight and my mom was able to bring her 2 small dogs for an additional $25 per night. While out at dinner, we received a call from the front desk that people were complaining the dogs were barking. Lisa offered to take the dogs up to the front desk with her. When we got back, she'd taken them out to the bathroom twice, and they were sitting next to her up front as happy as can be! The breakfast the next morning was good! Biscuits, gravy, tater tots, scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, yogurt and mix-ins, waffle maker, and mix-ins, juice, milk, and even almond milk. The staff was very nice! By the front desk there was fresh brewed tea, lemon water, and pretzels. The rooms were clean. I didn't get it 5 stars because the pillows weren't great for me. But others may like them. Too soft for this girl. We will definitely stay here again when we visit my daughter who is at KSU!
Really enjoyed over night stay in Manhattan best western. Very pleasing and helpful staff. Also had a good assortment of breakfast items with eggs, sausage, and potatoes or waffles. Juice, coffee, milk and cereal. Enjoyed in door pool and fitness area.
Stayed here before headed out of town, beds were comfy, had a slight bump in the road but the staff expressed legit concern over my issue. Satisfied with overall service Definitely will stay again. Thank you!!
Noise and nobody to talk to about problems and the breakfast was basicly none. People screaming and yelling at all hours of the night. When i was able to actually find a person at the front desk she was to busy talking to her friends to acknowledge me
The room were clean. Beds were a little to firm for me. They did not have enough help. There person getting the breakfast set up was also the front desk clerk. Breakfast was suppose to start at 7:00am but they did not get all the food out until about 7:30. There were kids running up and down the halls and yelling half the night and calling our room then hanging up. One of our rooms was not ready at 3:00. When we did check in at 6:30 we had to page someone to come to the front desk to help us. They were still cleaning rooms upstairs when we checked in at 6:30. They are either under staffed or just didn't have employees show up for work that day. We had two rooms reserved and they were able to get us in one room early so we could get ready for a wedding we were attending that afternoon. There was no one there in the morning either and we had to page them again.
Stayed the night last night. They added fees for a pet to my bill and I didnt have a pet. Kids were screaming and running down the hallway most of the night. Staff did nothing to ensure a good night's sleep for patrons. It was so bad my dad had to sleep in his vehicle just to be able to sleep. Breakfast was not ready when it was supposed to be. Housekeepers were still trying to get rooms cleaned at 8pm when check is us supposed to be 3pm. Will not stay here again. Not worth it. Go to Hampton Inn next door.
We experienced lots of noise from pipes in this room - sounding like running water. Also the floor and bed vibrated and the lady at the front desk said it was from the washing machines. Not enough parking for guests - saw many vehicles parked on the red curb.
I expected this property to be substantially better than it was in all areas -- Best Western has pretty high standards and I did not feel this property was a good representation of their brand. Advertised as newly remodeled -- but carpet in hallway was stained certainly not new -- mattresses in our room were way too soft and sunken in and apparently not new
I have stayed at the Best Western in Manhattan, Kansas four times. Each time has been a very positive experience. Kylee and Lisa at the main desk were very helpful, finding us eating places and directions to here and there and helping us in the breakfast area. The Room which was cleaned by Pat could not have been better. I would encourage travelers to check this hotel out. It is reasonably priced, the employees are accommodating and it is easily accessible. Traveling from Nebraska
Overall, not bad. Front desk staff was very helpful in resolving problem with Expedia reservation. Hotel staff (front desk, breakfast, cleaning) were all friendly & helpful. Room was ok. Dark carpeting in the room made it hard to spot things (like a former travelers' underwear left behind on the floor). Location on Poyntz Ave was perfect for our needs - easy access to highway & close to grocery stores.
Amazing staff who really cared about getting us what we needed. Check in was fast and organized. The rooms felt clean and was very comfortable. Free breakfast in the morning was your basic but delicious! Highly recommend??
This did not live up to our usual expectation of a Best Western Motel. The carpet in our room needed cleaning, we only had one large bath towel and it was quite noisy. The remote would not work from the bed, only about 2 feet from the television. The room was decorated nicely and aside from the carpet it was clean. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast great. Good location and felt safe there.
It was nice to have a hot breakfast including eggs and breakfast meats. The staff members were polite and helpful. The room was neat and clean and the essentials were provided. One of the stairwells was closed due to carpet replacement but there was no noise during the evening hours which is as it should be.
Very satisfied with hotel and employee. Clean room and good breakfast. I stay here at this hotel often and I will/do recommend it often... There have been many improvements lately that have improved the quality of the hotel.
In the BW Brand some of the hotels can be sub par. This hotel seems newer or recently renovated offering full service at a fair rate. It has all the amenities including an indoor pool and workout area with a friendly staff. Tell GM Alisha Stahl I sent you. Enjoy.
We had a pleasurable stay at this establishment. The room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast is a big plus with plenty of variety. The staff is friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants are close by.
Our room was clean, well decorated, all of the amenitys worked well and the mattresses slept well. The price was great for the quality of our stay. We did not use the pool so I have no comment. Breakfast was good. The location was centrally located for all of our needs. We would definitely stay there again. In fact we have already discussed another trip to Manhattan.
The manager always spoke when I saw her in the mornings at the desk. I really can't say the same for the rest of the staff. They where hit and miss depending on who was working. Breakfast was always out and hot. They did a good job keeping up with food. Breakfast consist of eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage and gravy, biscuits, tatters tots, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee, muffins and bread choices. Pool- needs to be clean you can tell it has not been clean in a while, but overall nice pool area. I did laundry there! Huge plus washer was $1.25 and dryer was $1.00. Great to have!! Housekeeping was amazing. Ours name was Taylor one day and it was one of those days when you just wanted not to be in a hotel, when we came back to our room she had cleaned it so well I cried. We had been traveling for Three weeks and the smallest thing like her doing her job made a huge difference in my day and attitude. So Thank you Taylor?? Good hotel! Close to everything! Thank You Best Western!
We stayed here as a last resort during busy graduation at K State University and we made the reservations months in advance. The staff were all really good but the facilities are well used and need modernizing.
Very standard rooms but neat and clean. Unfortunately renovations were undertaken during my 3 day stay with a lot of noise!! No laundry service but there are a laundry room for use by patrons. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
While the building looks old from the outside, don't let that fool you. Inside everything is updated, the staff are great, the room was wonderful, the breakfast delicious with los of choices. Will stay there again when in Manhattan.
The amenities of this hotel were good but the staff were awesome. They knew how to serve and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They even searched through the laundry to help find a lost necklace of my daughters!
worst stay ever. clear violations of american disabilites act and several others. price gouging even if you book a month in advance. no manager just some stupid teeny boopers running it. no compensation for problems.. rooms filthy and not cleaned when we checked in. had to find janitor to clean it, nobody at front desk.. do not ever stay at this hotel..EVER !
We stayed for 4 nights while visiting with Family in Manhattan. We were treated like family in the hotel and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. We spent many hours in the breakfast room playing cards and never felt like we were in the way!! It was a great few days.
Are elevators going out of style? This is the second time I have booked a room online with no mention of no elevator?!?!? I know this is very important to many people, not just seniors. Even calling in for reservations doesn't help unless you specifically ask if you have an elevator or not. Requesting a senior discount doesn't tip them off either...got a 2nd floor room anyway.
Main entrance in back of hotel lock was broken, I reported it but it was not repaired during our 2 night stay. Electrical problem with bathroom light but I didn't report it because I continued to ask about the lock on the back door. On top of the door not being repaired we were overcharged at checkout! Claimed to correct it but on my credit card showed an additional unspecified fee. Very disappointing experience.
Clean and comfy. We've stayed here several times. It is close to the highway, but no noise occurances. Breakfast is always stocked and ready at time. Staff is àlways kept and literate. We always enjoy our stays.
A couple of important things - the parking lot is too dark at night if traveling alone and there is not an elevator to 2nd floor. As mentioned by others the carpet is showing wear and the first room they gave us smelled of smoke - they were very accommodating and moved us immediately. Overall ok but I think I will spend a few more $'s and stay elsewhere during my next trip to Manhattan.
Overall experience was disappointing. The room was filthy. The mattress on the bed was topside down. The jacuzzi tub was a serious let down and dirty. The carpet was torn and raveling. The backsplash of the jacuzzi tub was disgustingly filthy. We were given a $40 discount because the jacuzzi tub didn't work.
Can't ask for much more than clean, quiet and friendly staff! Easy access compared to many these days. Quick check in making reservation online beforehand. Staff was quick, friendly and went our of their way to get me into my room sooner than normal as I was on a tight timeline.
We stay here every time we visit the Manhattan/Wamego area. The staff, room, and overall experience are always top notch. My wife has asthma and certain scents can set her off - I have become hypersensitive because of this - this may sound strange but the thing that really stands out is that the first thing we notice is how clean the hotel smells. Nothing over powering - just clean. We really appreciate that. This hotel exemplifies the true meaning of the little things mean a lot.
Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was exceptional. The location was near shopping but the entrance from the west was hard to see from the main road. Doubt that anything can be done about the entrance or the parking lot because of the space.
The room was clean, bed comfortable and the front desk staff very courteous. The breakfast spread had a wide variety of choices from cereal to eggs to waffles. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay there again.
The hotel was very clean and showers where hot with great water pressure! The workers were nice and very helpful! With a very convenient location. Breakfast was great with waffles and biscuits and gravy!!
The room we stayed in was a double queen room and it was very clean and tidy. The staff accommodated our late check-in and every room switch from a single queen room to a double queen room last minute as I originally thought I'd be traveling alone. Bathroom was very clean and all of the appliances worked.
Very clean and comfortable! Location is perfect for heading out of town! The staff was very helpful with accommodations! Will be staying again when back in town! Slept like a baby in my King size bed very comfortable!
Staff was very friendly. Gave us good directions for getting around. Everything had changed since we were students there! Think the roads were designed by engineering student dropouts. Enjoyed just visiting with the staff. Many offers of help with anything we might need. Liked having complimentary drinks available as well as USA Today.
We have stayed here a few times in the past few years. It's a very nice place. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Every one of them was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in Manhattan, KS.
Rooms are always clean and staff are wonderful!! We were able to book a block of rooms for Graduation. The staff was very helpful in getting grandparents on the lower level and the rest of the family together so that we could have a great stay.
The room was comfortable bed, great breakfast, polite employees, clean room. The motel was easy to get in and out of, near a big mall for easy shopping. The room was heated well and comfortable since we were in Manhattan Ks. in December. We were near the office and front close to the lobby and didn't have a noise problem. I would stay there again.
Nice staff, nice rooms. Was slightly skeptical reading some review but I believe now that they may have been a little dramatic. Good breakfast, lots of variety. Fast check in and check out. Beds could be a little more comfy but no hotel is perfect. Glad I stayed here after hearing motel 6 has bed bugs.
Receptionist made us wait +10 minutes and observing us while away. Any reason? We wore office attire, very presentable, just tired faces and ready to check-in. Breakfast was good, attentive staff in that area. Benches need upgrade. Lobby bathroom: urgent upgrade and needs to be clean. Parking illumination very poor.
I am very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The whole property seems very well maintained. My boys really enjoyed the pool. Libby is very clean and inviting, paired with a very pleasant staff!
Good location for us to attend the craft fair. Have stayed at this motel for the past four years and have always had pleasant staff, comfortable rooms and beds. Had a chance to sample a nice breakfast this year, we usually partake of the grab and go which have always been nice to have.
For my husband's birthday I treated him to an evening out. The hotelwas clean and desk clerk very kind. However, another room played their TV loudly all night long. A huge mirror fell off the wall in the middle of the night. The breakfast buffet looked great but the fruit was moldy.
Room clean and nice decor. Inside is better than exterior. Lobby and Breakfast area, including food, exceeded expectations. Will probably keep as an option for the future. Bed comfort was the only thing that was really lacking.
Stayed here in October with my family as we were visiting the town for the night. Was welcomed to a very nice lobby to check in. Had free coffee and water available for the guest which was a very nice touch after a long travel. The GM who checked us in was very friendly, fast, and very informative of local eatery and places to see around Manhattan. The room we stayed in was very clean and came with a mini fridge, coffee machine, and a microwave which was a very nice touch. The hotel also had a very nice little grass area near the back entrance if you need to walk your pets; however, they do not have a designated little area were you could get poop bags (front desk thou will provide you little trash bags if you didn't bring any) Breakfast was very tasty and had many variety from hot breakfast (waffle, biscuit, bacon, eggs) to cold choices (yogurt, fruit, cereal, and more). This is a multilevel and if you have issues with walking on stairs to the 2nd story, let front desk know when making your reservation that you will need a ground floor...There are no elevators to assist. Overall, a great choice for a short stay! Would return the next chance I'm up in the area.
Best Western Manhattan KS - Clean room, nice breakfast, close to the campus and shopping. The parking is limited. The surrounding door slam shut which is loud. Overall we have stayed at this hotel numerous times and overall experience is great. We will stay here again in the future.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Manhattan, KS in May of 2017. We had a block of rooms reserved for my son's wedding. At that time the service was very good, no issues to speak of except the parking space is limited. We reserved a room for October 7th, 2007 for a family reunion on the 8th. Our room had a jetted tub which was not cleaned properly, black mold came out of the jets and the carpet smelled of mold and was ragged. When we climbed into bed at 12:30 am the sheets felt sandy, upon pulling back the sheets it was literally covered in dead skin cells, not just flakes, but CHUNKS!!! The night desk clerk did come and inspect our bed and did bring in clean sheets and bedding and changed them herself. They only gave us a $20 dollar credit on our room for these issues, I figured it would at least be free or give us free night another stay! Breakfast the next morning was lacking due to the fact they were only putting out the minimal amount of food at one time. When you have a family of 6 eating, it was not enough! Did not report about the noise level, but it was loud enough! This hotel has gone down hill very fast!
Our stay here was very nice. Everyone was nice and willing to help us out in any way. It was very clean. The breakfast was good. We have not stayed in a Best Western in many years, so we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. I would recommend staying here if you are in the Manhattan, Kansas area.
Nice clean room, but no elevator, request a 1st floor room, WiFi was spotty at best. And if you like rock hard mattresses then this is your place! Breakfast was good, except for the coffee, way too strong, like Starbucks.
We often stay here when visiting our KStater. The staff members are always courteous and conscientious, and the amenities are consistently high-quality. We enjoy the beverages and pretzels at check-in as well as the healthy options for breakfast.
Dawn was wonderful! She gave us the name of a Chinese restaurant nearby :) Our toilet had an issue. Maintence tried to fix. Still wasn't right but we didn't want to move to another room. All in all it was great.
Older building. No elevator. Outdated decor. Priced for higher end hotel. Have stayed at many B.W. locations, this one was disappointing. The staff was great, but short handed. Room was clean, but everything looked old and gloomy.
Breakfast had a great selection. All of the staff were accommodating and welcoming. Room and lobby was clean and nicely decorated. They have iced tea and water, as well as pretzels and coffee at all times and they also have a gazebo which I thought was a nice touch.
This is the third time I've stayed here for business and it's always good! Staff is nice, rooms are nice and clean, and I'll be staying here again and again as long as they keep it up!! Thanks again!!
The Hotel is old and in need of repair. The Repairman did his best to fix the issue, but the same problem existed in another room they were to willing to transfer us to. The Staff was impeccable in service and manners. Rea in the Dining Area was fabulous. The BRIGHT vanity lights face the bed. All other BW's rooms are arranged better. Like and use the BW reward program.
This hotel is located on the road from Interstate 70 into Manhattan, KS. The hotel is very convenient to restaurants, gas stations, and shopping centers. Kansas State University is nearby and easy to get to. Fort Riley Army Post is about a half hour drive. The staff of this hotel goes out of it's way to take care of all needs. I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay. This hotel has a good breakfast and the room rate is a great value.
This rating is for Dawn V, NOT the hotel. Our reservation was through Expedia, and Expedia did not handle the reservation promptly. Dawn V went out of her way to resolve the problem, giving us goodie bags and seating us in a comfortable area while she attempted to resolve it. She wanted to upgrade us to the hotel's best room and just went way beyond the call of duty to make us happy. I hope the hotel appreciates what a gem they have. She understands how to give exceptional customer service, a rarity these days.
The staff was very nice at this motel. The general cleaning and presentation was very nice. Breakfast was good and coffee very good. My issue was the moldy smell in our room that was outstanding. The air conditioner leaked onto the carpet, which I believe was the culprit. The room was very clean, comfortable size and well equipped.
Wonderful place to stay! Conveniently located, amazing staff, clean and comfy rooms, delicious breakfast . We couldn't have asked for anything better! My son was returning from Iraq and the staff were as excited as we were to have him return!
The showers and toilet in our room didn't drain. There is not an elevator in this hotel, so if you have someone who needs one, I would not recommend this. Two of the nights we were there our beds didn't get made and we did not get fresh towels. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the extreme heat in Kansas means more showers than normal, so the towels were soiled.
All the staff was happy so I hope that means they are well treated. Ree (?) in the breakfast room was great and kindly went out of her way to make me eggs without milk. The bed was okay, personally, didn't like the pillows (thick). Room was clean.
We called and spoke to Marlina about our reservations. 3 rooms for 4 nights. She was very helpful. We realized that they didn't have elevators so we requested to be on the first floor. She is fairly new and wasn't sure how to guarantee our request. but said she would leave note for the next shift. When we arrived she did exactly that and because of her keeping her word we were able to be on the first floor. Actually all 3 rooms so that was even better. She really went above and beyond. We worked night shift as well and most of the time we don't see a receptionist overnight. But we did see Marlina out cleaning lobby, cleaning the pool area. She also was there on the night we were checking out and made us ice tea and fresh coffee for the road. Very sweet lady. She is a good asset to this place! Thank you Marlina. Rooms are also comfortable. Place is very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Just a few blocks away from Dillons and Walmart. Also, not very far from the mall, downtown and various dining choices. They had coffee, iced tea and ice water available in the lobby 24/7. Front desk staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Hotel was very clean. The one thing I didn't like was the coffee-maker in the room. It was a pod-style, single cup brewer and so we couldn't brew our own coffee. I checked all the stores around town and couldn't find any filter or coffee pods for it. You could only use the coffee pods they had at the hotel. If you are serious about your coffee, bring your own coffee/pot.
Since it had been 3 years since I had stayed there, I was prepared for some changes. And there had been some! For the better. Well kept building and common areas were a pleasure to see. And as always the staff was outstanding! Great experience.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay at when you travel to Manhattan, KS for Country Stampede weekend. It has nice rooms with flat screen televisions, comfy beds and a full breakfast. It is also very clean and accommodating.
We had our large dog with us and had been traveling across country for a move. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast the next morning had a wide variety of things to choose from.
good hotel , very good breakfast, only steps to second floor. Rooms are a nice size with fridge, and microwave. room was remodeled within last year and half. Pool and fitness area on the first floor . Stay for 3 days for Country Stampede night staff very friendly even at 1:00 in the morning.
Assigned a room that had not been cleaned at check in. Keys had been cancelled the second day so with arms loaded, had to go to front desk for new keys. Room did not get cleaned on the third day. Appeared as if family of staff were the PRIMARY users of the business computer (for games). Out of waffle mix on Sunday morning when property was completely booked. On the plus side, staff was friendly and responsive when issues arose. Carpet was being cleaned while we were there and was a disturbance for someone wanting to sleep in, but we applaud them for what we hope was routine maintenance. We wanted to stay longer, but we decided against it to avoid another potential issue and to cut our losses.
This was our 2nd stay. Easy access to KState is very easy from here and the hotel is a few blocks from downtown. Aggieville, just an Uber ride away for $6. Breakfast was good for free. The hotel was friendly helping with lost chargers, printing boarding passes and is small and convenient.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quiet and nicely appointed with comfy beds and lighting. The breakfast offers hearty as well as very healthy options. We often reserve this motel for our visits to Manhattan.
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was great, close to all the stores and restaurants yet in a quite location and the price could not be beat. I will definitely stay there again.
We were very pleased with the accommodations, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of sleep we had at this hotel. In fact, our only negative was that there is no elevator. On a long trip, our luggage is heavy! Having to lug it upstairs to our room was a bummer.
I always have a comfortable stay at Best Western in Manhattan Kansas when I go up. The room is always clean, the breakfast is always hot and delicious, and they always accommodate my truck with trailer.
One night stay on business. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location, clean room, free breakfast, and good fitness equipment. I received a great rate for the stay, and I would definitely stay here again.
We had room 108. CLEAN. 1ST FLOOR. QUIET. Breakfast was fine. Rate was great. We will be back. Our daughter got her master's of science. She is coming back for PhD. That means more visits to Best Western. CONVENIENT to K State, shopping and restaurants.
Wish this hotel had a elevator but the rooms were decent!! Ice machine should be closer to lobby!! Needs a bigger parking lot! A little outdated hotel but I liked the tea & water & pretzels out for the guest!!
Good breakfast ,Customer servíce, clean, quiet. The only thing is ,doesnt have an elevator. However they offer to help you. The rewards program they have, is very good, that's why I do prefer a BW whatever I go.
was very happy with this hotel. will stay here again if i ever have to come back to Manhattan. people were polite and welcoming. rooms were clean and food for breakfast was very good. loved the pretzel and drinks available for us..
Needed a night break from driving home. This was just place to stop for the night. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We had our pup with us and they welcomed her. Suggested an area to walk her to keep her safe.
We stayed at the Best Western because it's a five minute drive to the K-State campus. We were in town for a college visit. The staff was excellent. They were friendly, accommodating and overall, just great. The room was average. The price was very reasonable. The Wi-Fi was good and parking was easy.
Our stay in Manhattan Kansas was very good - the front desk agent was very friendly and helpful, her name was Dominique! The hotel was clean and the it was just easy! Breakfast was good and the pool was clean! Kids enjoyed the hot chocolate!
Booking on a discount site is recommended as the quoted price at the front desk was significantly higher. Clean rooms, good beds, standard hot buffet breakfast, a bit out of the way of the main things in Manhattan in a commercial area
We spent three nights at this very nice motel when I recently attended a sorority reunion. We arrived at 2am the first night and the front desk receptionist was right there to welcome us. Whenever we left the motel the front desk staff enthusiastically wished us a good day or good evening. The room was quite spacious. Water pressure in the shower - great. This motel is located very near restaurants, the Manhattan Town Center Mall, a large supermarket, and Walmart. It's an excellent choice for families arriving with students as a Goodwill Store and Tuesday Morning are within walking distance so convenient for picking up those economical purchases needed to decorate dorm rooms and apartments.
The hotel location was very convenient to stores, eating establishment and other entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, met my needs. Breakfast was an added bonus, the variety of food was great!
Great staff the breakfast was wonderful rooms were large and clean I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future I travel a lot for business and this hotel has everything that I need.did not use the pool but I did use the fitness center and the universal weights were just what I was looking for
The staff was great they made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were large and very clean. But most surprising was the breakfast real eggs... sausage I have had worst breakfast at 150.00 a night hotels
Great customer service, clean and up to date rooms, great location and allows pets! Some are hesitant to stay at a pet friendly motel but they definitely keep the rooms clean. We do a lot of traveling and this is by far our favorite motel. Thank you Best Western for providing a safe and affordable motel for my son and I to stay in!
Our room was spacious, had a king sized bed and very nice hot tub, and was SUPER clean. Nice sized bathroom. Breakfast was great too, with real eggs (don't you hate egg substitutes?) Of course, you won't find nicer people to deal with than Kansas folk, so of course the service was great. I wish all Best Westerns were this good.
Enjoyed our stay as usual. This is not the first time we choose to stay at this Hotel. The Service was great, food Very Good (Breakfast) and this is a clean hotel! They were very accommodating to change our room to the one we like and provided everything we asked for. Plan to stay again!
There was not an elevator that worked. Lights in the room were iffy. The alarm clock did not work. Felt very unsafe. The parking lot does not have very good lighting & the place is next to a warehouse.
Excellent experience at this well located hotel on East side of Manhattan. After slipping a bit a few months ago, this hotel is operating back at a high level with good attention to detail & an apparent caring attitude. Bed & sleep comfort were very good. Breakfast at the high end of typical BW fare.
The staff was friendly, rooms very nice, awesome breakfast. We stayed here for a wedding and the staff was very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. I will definitely use this as our hotel in Manhattan Kansas.
We were a little leery of trying to book a room on a game day in Manhattan, but we could not have been any happier with our choice. The customer service was great, the room was clean, bed was very comfortable, the free breakfast was above normal in comparison to most hotels. We would definitely stay there again. The only reason for 4/5 is I had booked a queen room, but we are pretty positive the bed was a double. It was fine and like I stated the bed as well as the pillows were very comfortable. My husband is 6'4 ;o)
Great Hotel. Nice Staff. Neat Gazebo out front. Quiet rooms. It needed some tender loving care to the landscaping. Great hot Breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to my friends staying in Manhattan.
Cannot imagine a better value for the price, and when you have the comfort of knowing what to expect (good), makes it all the better. Keep investing in the upkeep of the rooms, and my King non-smoking was a very good value before all the add on fees/taxes. Good location and the town is easy to navigate anyway.
I was really satisfied with my stay. Some of the things are really like her the friendly staff and management. I would definitely be coming back and I will also be referring you to my friends family and coworkers thank you for doing a great job and keep up the good work.
The hotel seems relatively new, and all of the spaces are well maintained. The room was comfortable, and our handicapped bathroom proved very functional. Breakfast was a step up from the usual, with a greater array of hot foods, waffle toppings, etc. The woman in charge of the food took great care and was very friendly and helpful. The hotel also has some drinks and snacks available in the lobby. Wifi and parking were good.
Place needs work. Employees need training. Breakfast area was messy. Items like juice, main items, and misc needed replenishing. Only one person working and others standing around. Luggage cart in use but had a flat tire and 1 small tire out of 4. No repair in sight per employee. I would not recommend this place.
I was made to feel easy while with my dog which I appreciated. The room was big enough for my dog to move around. The bed was awesome and felt like I was in heaven. The air conditioner was excellent considering that it was very hot and humid out side.
Hotel was easy to find with Google map. Reataurants, mall, gas etc easy access. Campus and daughter's housing were nearby. Beds and rooms appeared new. Only downfall was moldy biscuit at breakfast. Attendant apologized profusely and threw the batch away. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.
Great Hotel in a college town. Friendly and helpful personnel. Room was Clean and comfortable. Hotel convenient to restaurants and shopping. Would stay there again when traveling between TN and CO. Breakfast had many choices and offered at a convenient times.
Our whole family (5 adults and one 3 yr old.) stayed there for a wedding in the area. The rooms were spacious and everything was very clean. The pool was a little too warm for swimming but my granddaughter loved it!. The breakfast was wonderful - hot items like waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon! and great muffins with good coffee and juice. The breakfast staff were very friendly and worked hard to keep everything clean with all the guests. The front receptionists were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again
This is a nice hotel. This is the second time we've stayed here. The breakfast is great with real eggs and sausage patties. The breakfast room is large enough to accommodate the guests. The room was comfortable. The parking lot is a tight squeeze though. There is not an elevator and the window blinds in the hallway were quite dusty.
Our room was comfortable and very quiet. The stay was for a wedding and it was enjoyable. The Breakfast is very good.... Eggs are real and they offer something for everyones tastes. Fitness area is clean and the pool was just right. We will stay again.
No elevator. Many items in room broken. Internet didn't work properly -- constantly lost the signal onsite. Only scalding hot water in my sink. Giant spider in my bathtub. Breakfast was plentiful but marginal in taste. Staff was attentive; maintenance was constantly in my room to fix the broken items.
It's a Best Western along a highway in a town that is larger than it really is because of a big university. So, knowing all of that, I was impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, bed was super comfy, and it had a fridge and microwave in the room, which you don't always find. The free breakfast was actually really impressive too! Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, tator tots, biscuits, gravy, dry cereals, waffle maker (with a bunch of toppings including chocolate chips and whipped cream), juices, COFFEE, bagels and pastries...seriously, it was a big spread and well-tended. There was an indoor heated pool that I didn't use but looked clean. I would also note that the rooms were unusually quiet, even with a storm that blew in I barely heard it. Overall, I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future and say that, for the money, you won't be disappointed. Is it fancy? No. But it has a lot to offer.
The room was clean, the bathroom was newly renovated, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast had something for everyone. This hotel was lower priced than others in the city, but just as good or better than the others.
This was a last minute, one-night stay in a generally comfortable hotel with a heated indoor pool, pretzels and unsweetened tea in the lobby and a very nice television in the room. Parking was convenient. I was the only one who swam in the pool that evening. The furnishings were odd because they were stained in a noticeably unprofessional way. In addition, there wasn't enough change for the laundry and I had to go out and get some (to be fair, the Hampton Inn next-door had no change for laundry at all). Overall, it was a comfortable night.
We arrived after 10pm ant the Clerck on duty greeted us and was very nice and accommodating in getting us checked in for our last minute hotel needs. We slept well and our two Westies that were with us were welcomed as well. The Breakfast was simple but just what we needed to start our day. I would stay here again.
Hotel was clean. Staff was courteous and helped get me a free two day pass at a health club that was within walking distance. Breakfast was satisfactory. I will definitely stay at the Best Western on my next visit.
There is nothing about this place that will inspire you to rapturous poetry, but it is a comfortable hotel close to good restaurants, an excellent mall, easy on and off highway 24, and of course close to Kansas State University. It does not have resort features, and it doesn't have resort prices. Good place to spend a night or two.
If you are a regular guest of Best Western you will feel right at home here. Updated newer property just east of downtown Manhattan, but not really within walking distance. Parking is close and convenient. Breakfast offers a good variety with several hot items. Coffee, tea, and pretzels are available at all times and the USA Today paper is complimentary. Commendably quiet.
My first opinion of a hotel. Is the front desk staff.A Young intelligent. Woman greeted me with genuine Hospitality. Room was fine breakfast was fine. But i will remember the young lady who checked me inand welcomed me.
Room was OK. The doors dragged on carpet, the shower curtain rod was loose, the light between beds did not work. The curtain on the window billowed out from the A/C and kept the air at the window. The Breakfast was good. Plentiful amounts of eggs and other hot items and the pastries were fresh.
The people are very nice and it was very clean too , I do wish that they had truck parking . If they my company would be there all the time. That the only real thing that I did not like. It was very clean
The staff is very pleasant. The rooms are clean and stocked. The only complaint is that the parking lot is very tight. We drive an Extended Super Cab and it is difficult to pull in, turn around, and to park in the small area.
Our group of 6 adults stayed here. The staff was friendly and always helpful, the beds were comfortable, lots of cable channels, the breakfast was good, and most important, the hotel was quiet. The hotel was easy to access, and close to restaurants and Discovery Center/Downtown area. Will stay here again!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this small Best Western in Manhattan, KS. The desk staff was very friendly, and accommodating. The decor was very modern in platinum and chocolate brown tones. My room was quite large with lots of pillows on the bed and a large bathroom. There was a nice sized fridge and microwave as well in the room. A hot breakfast is served in the morning with a lovely lady attending to your every need. Bacon, Sausage, eggs, tater tots, breads, waffles, juices, yogurts, fruits, etc...They even offer Stevia along with the usual sugar, and artificial sweeteners. Iced Tea and Coffee is available all day and night in the lobby. Their is a washer and dryer for use by the vending machines. The only negative is that they need a little more parking space, but that won't keep me from coming back! Don't hesitate. Book here!
Rooms are clean. They let us check in 45 min early. Kyia at the front desk was very helpful with our late night request. Breakfast was nice for a quick bite before heading out for a day of woman's USBC state bowling. Would stay here again if we decide to stop in Manhattan again.
We have stayed at this best western many times while visiting our daughter in college. Good location, quiet, very friendly employees. I would recommend staying here when you are in Manhattan. Never any problems.
We buried our mother this day. We asked at the front desk if we could take over the unused breakfast area for a gathering of family in our mother's memory. Front desk clerk, Sam, was very understanding and helpful. She even provided ice and a few other helpful items. Almost exclusively because of her, we plan to stay here again on our next return to town.
I was in Manhattan over the weekend visiting my daughter. When I started looking for hotels a couple of months ago, I noticed that the Best Western had a great AAA rate so I decided I would try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks to be recently renovated. It was clean and the staff was kind and helpful. A full, hot breakfast buffet is served daily as well. There is an indoor pool. I would note two things: 1. There is no elevator. 2. The parking lot is very small. Overall, I had a nice, quiet stay and was very pleased. I would definitely stay again.
We stayed here 2 nights on a trip in which we were looking at the area as a possible move here may happen. This place is clean, breakfast is just fine as long as you know you're not at a five star resort. If that is what you would expect, then go stay at one of those. They have more than just a continental breakfast. The staff here could not have been more accommodating. The towels were soft and fluffy - better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed at. TV worked great, bed was okay too. Didn't use the internet. We will stay here again when we come back.
Our stay at this hotel was quite pleasant and the bed comfortable. It was quiet, clean and the staff friendly. The microwave, fridge, and coffee maker are nice touches. The water pressure, temp and shower head were excellent! The price was also decent and the breakfast choices standard. Would possibly stay again if in the area for a short visit. The hotel's setting and parking lot are less than attractive, but unless you care about a scenic view, this isn't much of an issue. Only thing I wished for was a hot tub.
This hotel provides excellent value for the price. We stayed 2 nights, and had breakfast at the hotel both mornings. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and most accommodating of a group our size. The breakfast area was run by a very efficient lady who provided wonderful hospitality. The food was delicious and hot. She even brought more food out for some of our group who wandered in after 10 a.m. You don't receive such love and care just anywhere, but you can plan on it at the Manhattan Best Western.
Of the many hotels in the area, this one was the closest to perfect that we saw. The reviews that I read were not as accurate. The hotel had exceptional staff, accommodations and breakfasts.. Even though we were in the area during a busy 'party' time at the local university, this hotel was properly prepared so that other guests were not bothered by the potential noise and disturbances.
What major chain has only one employee on staff at 3:00 on a Friday afternoon? While the gal at check in was very friendly she was clueless. We were lined up five deep to check in. Based on the conversation I heard, a lady in front of me had cut her finger on the door coming in. The reason I presumed was because the electric doors would not open all the way. The check in clerk was explaining to any of us that wanted to listen that the cleaning staff had to turn off the doors when they were cleaning the windows and then the doors got off the track. So my question? Why weren't the doors put back on track? I am guessing because this poor clerk was the only one there! BTW, they were still not operational five hours later when we returned to the hotel from dinner. The clerk then asked if I wanted the last available room on the first floor despite the fact that the closet door was off track (sensing a theme here?). I didn't want to lug all our stuff up stairs so I said sure. We were going to head out for dinner right away anyhow. Again, when we got back the closet was still not fixed. When we got to our room we discovered that the trash had not been emptied and a subway cup was on the night stand. There was also a stick of deodorant under the dust ruffle (I discovered it because I kicked it when I was standing by the bed....leads me to believe that the rug hadn't been vacuumed properly.) We were in town to participate in an running event in Wamego which required us to leave early the next morning. We were told that breakfast bags would be available for us since they breakfast room wasn't open. The young man at the desk Saturday morning appeared to be clueless as to what he needed to be doing....and when I asked about a breakfast bag he had no sense of urgency to get things moving. Our breakfast bag consisted of an apple, granola bar and water. Yippee! When we arrived back around noon after our event, our room was not cleaned. We needed to shower and were going to head back out so I asked the housekeeping staff if she could A) clean our room B) replace our wet towels C) fix the closet door while we left for lunch. She was very pleasant but when we returned later the closet door was still broken (frustrating since we couldn't hang up our wet clothes from being out in the rain). She gave us only two towels and didn't vacuum the floor. So basically she came in, made the bed, took our stack of wet towels, replaced with two, and left. I did outline my complaints with the young man upon check out and he was very polite. I am writing this review for potential travelers so you won't expect much from this major chain hotel and for the hotel management so they get a clue about attending to your customers. I don't like to be so negative so I will end with a positive....the beds/linens/pillows were very comfortable.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and the staff (especially Laura and Sam) were very helpful and friendly. An example was when I needed extra soap and called the front desk. I offered to go there to get it but Sam said she would bring it to me. When she came to the door 2 minutes later, she had bars of soap laid out on a folded towel, which I thought was very nice! When we checked in, we needed a room with 2 double beds (I was booked for a single bed). Laura immediately offered us another room that met my request. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Fresh, hot coffee was always in the lobby and the breakfast was good. To top everything off, I noticed when I got home (Kentucky) that I left my computer cable and adaptor in the room. I called the hotel and Laura said they were there. She then offered to mail them to me for no charge! Overall, a very nice place with a great staff. I would definitely stay there again.
low budget rooms are high price in Manhatten....so you go to next tier hotels.....this hotel is kept up nice and the staff is great Sam was awesome....She made a fresh cup of coffee each night...it was nice. made me feel like I was at home. The GM Susan was on top of things....I noticed a construction crew left dirt and stuff on the stairs. I went down to tell her and she already noticed problem and had someone taking care of it. The construction crew made a mess and she had it fixed in 15 minutes. She cares, does a great job running the ship (organized), and is real pleasant to talk with.
Price was right somewhat. When arrived the refrigerator had soda spilled in the bottom and had not been cleaned. Left early the next morning, came back and refrigerator was still dirty, beds had not been cleaned and floor had potato chips under the bed from before we arrived. Called the front desk and was told they were short of help. Next morning upon checking out, found sock under bed also. When told the dayshift manager, again the only comment was they were short of help the day before. Could here baby crying part of the night and people talking. Walls were very thin.
Best Western in Manhattan, Kansas, was a great place to stay. I was there for three nights and it was comfy and the staff was very caring and personable. Breakfast was also a good experience with fresh, hot food and tasty coffee. This is a really nice facility and I plan to return for business trips in the future.
Stayed here for a night. They allowed me to check in early after a long drive. Staff was helpful and friendly. Laura was an awesome help! Room was clean and bed comfortable. I would definitely stay here any time that I am in town without hesitation.
This hotel is not meeting ADA requirements, as it is a 2 story building and there is no elevator. My husband walks with a cane and we had to haul our luggage up a narrow set of stairs. Of course, there were no rooms on the 1st floor available. We also asked about an upgrade to a room with a jetted tub, as my husband was having leg and back pain that day. We were told that they couldn't do it because we didn't reserve the room directly with them. Room was your average hotel room- nothing great, clean enough, made to look like they were trying to make it nice but furniture, linens, etc. are cheap, you know the typical mid-range hotel. Oh, also the pool was closed. And the hotel is long and narrow. There is only one entrance in the front and one in the back. Luckily, our room was right in front, but anyone in the middle would have a hike up a set of stairs and then a walk down a long hall.
Hot tub rooms are your worst option. The property does not test and maintain them properly. But the bacon was good. Stay away from this property. need 200 characters to have a real review? d jpd podjokokde kie
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean facility and nicely remodeled rooms. Easy to find and close to restaurants, shopping and Kansas State University. Breakfast included was also nice and convenient. Would definitely stay there again.
Hotel is very nice and clean. The customer is very good dark haired front desk and morning girl all very friendly. They all knew the area and had great suggestions. Breakfast was what you would expect scrambled eggs ,bacon and pastries.
We were in town for a basketball tournament. Everything was clean, rooms were large, shower had plenty of pressure and the staff was very kind. Kids seemed to enjoy the pool and breakfast was good. Great experience.
Hotel has been nicely updated and has a friendly staff. Good value. Our Bball team stayed here and enjoyed it. Average breakfast, but extra helpful and friendly breakfast staff. Convenient location but did not notice any road noise. Would recommend staying here as long as you are not looking for an upper end place. Workout room equipment was in good shape and easy to use.
This hotel is conveniently located, Front desk very friendly. My company made an error and Kori handled like a pro. Front desk remebers my name when i come now.Breakfast is huge and they Serve real eggs.
Parking was not good. Only one way to get in and out and both ways blocked when we tried to leave. Snow was piled in parking spots so it was difficult to park. The front help was good it wasn't her fault nothing was right.
I was there with a group and enjoyed my stay. Check-in was easy and fast, rooms were clean, breakfast was about on par with this type of hotel, a little better than some. The best part was the staff. The front desk people we helpful and pleasant, the lady who worked in the breakfast room was super friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
Nice people good breakfast nice rooms glad they had a guest laundry that I used it is in a good location close to a lot of restaurants and also close to stores to shop in also liked it was very close to the airport
Corey and all staff was Great , nice clean rooms and a full breakfast. Staff always make a difference to me, you can tell when they enjoy their job and like visiting and sharing info about the area. Corey was very welcoming and very well-versed for her age. I will come back
Me and my friend stayed at this hotel last year for stampede weekend. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly nice and very helpful with any questions we asked. They even gave us some many additional tips to make our stay more comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great and had a variety of choices to offer. We enjoyed our stay so much; we just rebooked our room again for this summer's stampede weekend. Anyone who stays here; it is so worth it and the prices of the rooms are not bad either. I looked at many different discount travel sites and with my travel points from Expedia; we got a really great deal.
Excellent stay - no complaints! Great Breakfast! Nice swim in the heated pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Made our son's move to Kansas State University very welcoming. We will return there in September.
Kristen was a new hotel employee but was super friendly and very helpful........Great job Kristen Room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. My preferred hotel to stay at while working in Manhattan.
First the good. Friendly staff at the desk. Pillows were comfy. Nice TV. That's it for the good Now the bad. Walked in and the room was freezing, 19° outside the hotel and maybe 45° In our room. It took 2 1/2 hours with the heater on high for the room to heat up. Even then the bathroom was still icy. The toilet ran all night long intermittently with no rhyme or reason, sometimes it wouldn't after a flush other times it would. In the morning breakfast was being taken down 45minutes early and the kitchen lady muttered "excuse you" under her breath, how dare we be in her way while she tore down early. We won't be back.
I would like to rate this hotel higher, and did a year ago, but the attention to the small things has slipped somewhat. This property is conveniently located on Manhattan's east side (Hwy 24), five minutes from the Mall/Downtown/Museum area and only 10 minutes from Kansas State Univ. Breakfast choice and quality is good, however, they did not refresh the banana supply the second morning we were there. One morning there was staff continually checking and cleaning the breakfast area & the next morning rarely any staff around. Pet peeves: shower head was odd, & both days we had to have both room keys reactivated before we could reenter our room after breakfast. Exercise room was good except one piece of equipment was missing. Still, overall, this hotel provides good value.
room, staff, price, and breakfast were all of the highest quality. would recommend this motel for anyone traveling near Manhattan Kansas. Was extremely satisfied with our stay at this Best Western. Did not use any of the amenities but, they were all there.
This is the 2nd time we stayed at this motel, we travel for Craft Shows. Like the fact that you park off to the side and are on a service road. Ease of in and out makes it easy for us. Only problem is no breakfast available until 7 and we need to be gone by 6 am to set up for craft show. Need to offer limited items for those that need to be up and going. Coffee and or juice, muffins, and maybe fruit would be nice.
Friendly staff. Very accommodating for my 2 dogs that came from Texas to Manhattan, Kansas to see the vet. Clean and comfortable rooms. Complimentary breakfast was great. Close to the college and great restaurants.
Clean and very nice staff. With a great breakfast. We were greeted and seemed like they were glad we were staying there. The people were always on top of keeping everything out for the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if in the area
Had a youth conference. Got a great deal, even better service and rooms. Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and will more than likely come back this hotel next year.
I booked online and that was easy. The evening front desk attendant was very pleasant and welcoming. My room spacious and clean, the bed comfy with plenty of pillows. The noise from adjoining rooms is very apparent both TV and talking can be heard. The bathroom is handicap accessible and the door to the bathroom opens out which is fine but when the bathroom door is open and you enter the room from the hall the doors collide. You have to reach in with your arm to swing the bathroom door shut to enter the room. So remember to keep the bathroom door shut. I appreciate the coffee, water and iced tea in the lobby. The breakfast is pretty good. For the price it was just fine.
This hotel is great for long term stays. The staff-especially Kori- go out of their way to make you feel at home, and treat you more like family than a guest. She goes out of her way to accommodate to any need.
The room and service are fine. About what was expected for hotel level (all hotels in Manhattan gouge on football weekends). Problem was NOISE. Not sure if no insulation was used or very cheap doors. We had a door to the adjoining room and could hear their TV until very late. Did not sound like it was turned up loud. Also can hear everything in hall. Have had better experience at other hotels in Manhattan.
Stayed one night for a KSU football game. Great place, well above average hotel breakfast - which is good, not a lot of options in Manhattan for breakfast. Clean room, pleasant staff. I would recommend and stay their again.
This was a great place to stay..The staff was very friendly. A Very nice and clean motel . Will stay there again. The beds were very comfortable..Every thing in the room worked.. Thanks Leroy Woods Good parking..Maybe should make sure they touch up some spots that needed painted..
Breakfast was the best, we have stayed at many hotels and this one defiantly had the better breakfast! Pool was clean and perfect temperature and really enjoyed the upgrade for being a Best Western Member. Staff was friendly and helpful trying their best to make our stay perfect. Was very glad that this was one of the Hotels that the Fink Beef Genetics Bull Sale had advertised in there October Charolais/Angus sale flyer.
Price is decent, but the noise level is something less to be desired. Not sure if the location is too close to the road or the windows are not blocking the notice.... Can hear trucks passing by early hours of the morning.... Breakfast is ok nothing to be proud of....
Stayed here for a game between Oklahoma & Kansas State. Very much worth the visit. Staff was among the most friendly I have encountered. They made you feel like a valued customer. Really awesome breakfast, too.
My daughter and I were in Manhattan for a campus visit to Kansas State Univ. The property was not far from campus, and offered the amenities we needed. The staff was helpful and the free breakfast was a great way to start each day.It is obvious that they take pride in their property and with recent renovations it was a good place to come back to each night.
The hotel looked to be fairly new or recently remodeled. Clean and quiet; good breakfast even though they were out of hot sauce. I would have preferred a harder bed and a smaller softer pillows, but I made it work.
The front desk evening clerk was helpful, but wearing many hats - I think they were understaffed :) She did want to make us happy, though. The morning clerk, not so much. Overall, this location was fine and the price was right. Breakfast biscuits and gravy were good!
Absolutely terrible managing!! This place is going downhill all due to poor management. I was floored by the unprofessional demeanor of the manager, overhearing her defamation character of an employee whom I assume was not present. She continued gossiping with an older lady in uniform standing at the front desk about other employees . I am very outraged by the lack of respect and professionalism!! Something needs to be done!!
Great Place. The Manager took a personal interest in seeing we were doing okay. The food was wonderful and plentiful, even at 8:45 am. Clean rooms, clean hotel, enjoyed my stay. I thought the staff was top quality and worked together well. Deborah was a hoot and Susan did more than anyone.
Our room was clean. I was very pleased with our room and the stay, overall. The best was the price for home game weekend. Very reasonable! The breakfast was fair at best. The coffee was not good. The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again.
