The pillow was fluffy. They were comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Everything was good. We both slept like a baby. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends. you guys were close enough to restaurants you guys had a shuttle bus The breakfast was good. My room was good. The pool was good. The Jacuzzi was good.
When I made the reservation I asked for a handicap room with two beds and close to the lobby. What I got was a room that was no where near the lobby, one bed and a tub that was hard to get in. The girl at the front desk acted like she couldn't be bothered. Won't stay there again.
Here now with kids. Picked this place for the pool for the kids, but I wont let them swim in it. It needs major attention. There is black algae growing on the side walls, and near the ladders all round the pool. Additionally, there are rocks scattered all over the bottom of the pool. I let the front desk know but they didn't seem concerned. we are stuck here for several more days so I hope someone cleans the pool before we leave so the kids can finally go in, but I think it may needs professional attention.
Sooooo … the good, the bad and ugly (stink). The Good 1. Staff members were friendly and professional. 2. D and his breakfast spread! His eggs, bacon, biscuits and more were delicious. His personality was even better! He chatted with my mom and me for several minutes. When we left, we knew we had a friend in Madison. 3. Beds were comfy. The Bad 1. We walked into the room and were slapped in the face with the scent of cat pee! (My elderly mom was so tired, she didn't feel up to changing rooms, so I sprayed Febreeze). Until I left to pick up food or run to the car, I didn't notice as much. As soon as I re-entered the room .., daaaaayum. 2. 3-star hotel? I think not. Maybe in the 1980s. Outdated, Old looking. Some of the bathroom door appeared chewed or scratched (pets, we assume). 3. Lobby was hot and humid. We were going to meet a friend after breakfast and had planned to meet in the lobby. We moved out to the covered part of the drive. At least there was a slight breeze out there. The Ugly 1. See above about cat pee. 2. Everywhere except the lobby and breakfast area was on ugly side.
Not clean, outdated, belonging went missing, fridge was hot, stains in shower, pool had thick built up algae that turned black. One of the employees was disgustingly rude and prejudice. Ac was cold bed was soft didn't itch while laying on it.
Arrived late with an advanced reservation. We requested an accessible room & bath and also informed the hotel in advance we were travelling with two dogs. At first glance the room seemed OK, but the bath did not have a raised toilet seat, only one assist bar in the shower and none near the toilet. We were informed that none of their rooms have any assist bars except in the shower. Further the bath tub was dirty, chipped and rusty. We decided not to use shower and it was a good thing because the room had no hair dryer. The sink area was clean, however it had a loose faucet handle that was hard to regulate or turn completely off. When you are tired from a long drive the last thing you want to deal with are room maintenance issues. It was a disappointing stay, well below Best Western standards.
Check in was friendly. Offered shuttle service to the airport. Bed was comfortable. Great to have a restaurant in the hotel.
We highly recommend Best Western Plus hotels. The Madison Hotel location was such an amazing experience. Great service, location & amenities, with reasonable price points.
Was instantly greeted with a strong odor of mildew and body odor upon entering room, spent all night hot due to air barely working, the bathroom was small and had to work myself around the door in order to shut it, the shower got hot/cold randomly to the point it burnt me several times, the bathroom amenities smelled like you showered with lemon juice, and the TV kept randomly swapping channels making a loud sound waking me up throughout the night. I regret paying over $120 for this room. I would've been better off staying at the economy inn across the street for $70.
The hospitality at this hotel cannot be beat. You will be greeted with a friendly face. You will see some of the most hard-working people. You will have a clean room a hot, And a hot breakfast. The hot tub is wonderful and the pool is great. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to the area and if hosting an event, I would use them 1 million times over!
Best Hotel ever. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great food and a awesome Bar. Staff was wonderful. Has a very big pool even though it was a bit cold in in march. Lots of places to eat. If you are in the Madison Al Area stop by this Bestwestern in Madison Al
The staff was extremely nice n helpful , the room was beautiful n everything we expected, enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place.
Enjoyed the soft, cozy bed. Good size television, refrigerator and microwave. Was able to use the hot tub, even though it was outside it was still very nice. Was able to park 53 ft tractor trailer in parking lot.
You couldn't ask for a better experience at such a great price range. This hotel is a great example of how hotels should be- a well cared for property, excellent staff and a wonderful breakfast. If you're looking for a hotel that you can be comfortable at and trust to be a good stay then this one is it.
The staff at this hotel are the absolute best. The hotel is older but well maintained and most of all CLEAN. It was close to everything I needed in Madison and Huntsville. They also had a shuttle that I could take that kept me from walking. Breakfast was awesome. I will definitely be back when visiting my family in the area.
I selected this location based on the star rating in the travel guide when comparing it to other locations in the area. What a mistake. You better off selecting a 2 star cleaner, newer location in the area.
Great staff housekeeping need to double checking and not assume everything is clean! It definitely wasn't old towels behind the door, tub falling apart ceiling peeling, curtains falling but other than that the bed was comfortable
After seeing the room I was ready to ask for a refund. The first room had the entrance on the outside. It was dirty, and without working amenities. I ended up changing rooms, but even the new room still was not nearly worth the rate charged.
Rooms were nice & clean. Staff was excellent! I would highly recommend interior room. We would definitely stay here again when needed to access medical facilities in Madison. The breakfast was the best out of any best western I've stayed in, also.
The room smelt like bug spray and urine. The second room had hair all over the floor and bath tube. The door had a big gap and could not block out the light and the noise from the hallway. The rooms needs remodel.
My friends and I stayed at the Best Western Plus after seeing the Doobie Brothers in concert in town. The staff was super friendly and helpful from the Management to the security guard! We loved the pillows and the beds were super comfortable! The hotel lobby was neat as a pin and the bartender was exceptional!!!
i was a guest here for almost a month and they called the police on me for trespassing and smoking weed with no request to stop or move. Manager claimed i fit the description of a vagrant that sleeps in the area. This is ironic because ive been hanging out in the same area every night until 2 am on average and in the mornings before i go to work. I'm pretty friendly with security. Last but not least, I have NEVER seen a vagrant on the property. the rest of the staff was amazing though
I would not stay at this Beat Western ever again. We tried an exterior and interior room and both were very, very musty smelling. The room had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, along with a filthy tv controller. The mattress had a visible worn impression and you actually sunk into the dent. The toilet barely flushed. We stay at Best Westerns on most trips and this was by far the worst we have ever stayed at.
Few minor things need attention. Bathroom door would not stay open due to shower curtain rod extending to far. Alot to do with small bathroom. There was bad smell each time i left room and came back into it. Dont know if i didnt smell all the time because I got use to it.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. My room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. So many hotels use prepackaged eggs, low quality meats (or no meat), and frozen biscuits. This place has real cooks that prepare fresh eggs, biscuits and gravy from scratch, and offer delicious meats. There were some nice pastries and cereals as well. The house keeping staff did a great job refreshing my room, and the shower was hot and had great pressure. The other guests were friendly and courteous too. It was quiet at night and my bed and pillows were super comfortable. I stayed 6 nights and will gladly return Great value for the money!
This hotel is a maze! Access to rooms is terrible and extremely inconvenient. It is old, faucets are loose, outlets don't work, and bed sag in the middle. There are doors to sections every 10 or so rooms, some even require the room key to continue. I stayed on the 2nd floor and went through the laundry to get to my room. The luggage cart tore up in the elevator and was difficult to get out. Staff was efficient and the pool was nice. Location was the reason I stayed there. This hotel which is supposed to be a BW Plus is a very bad reflection on best western in general.
Super clean well staffed great sitting areas around hotel pool was awesome breakfast was fantastic. Only concern was the bed was too soft but I still got a good night sleep. Hotel was quiet also. Would stay here again
I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus. This one is delightful. Clean, large rooms, terrific breakfast and friendly staff. One item to note, if you want decaf coffee at breakfast you have to ask the staff for it.
Our thermostat didn't control the A/C, The staff seemed to have an attitude about something, we paid extra for a sofa that we didn't get, and there were roaches crawling around. We got screwed on this
Dirty wash cloth left in tub, tub did not drain well at all, beer bottle cap between head of mattress and headboard, stains on sheets. Also, refrigerator was not very cold at all. Expected a little better hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at best western plus. Although we didn't get to experience the restaurant/lounge of the property, we did get to enjoy some very nice amenities. The pool was nice and clean but oh my goodness, the jacuzzi was AHHmazing!!!! And they even let me have an extra hour to get check out which was very nice, considering we didn't arrive until after supper tim. Will definitely be back to stay here, and will recommend to friends and family. Oh, and the HOT breakfast was an even better bonus! Thank you to BEST WESTERN PLUS!!
Pros: time flexibility, bar lounge with pool table, decent breakfast, automatic pancake maker, hot cocoa machine, free water service! Cons: possible dusty room, possible odors from previous guest, small and old bathroom quality.
The pictures of the rooms don't represent the actual rooms. First night we got put in an exterior room which apparently used to be the smoking rooms. It's dingy depressing and weird to look at. Since we got in so late we dealt with it for a night. The issue was the toilet barely flushed the shower didn't drain and there were random stains on the walls and the one elevator didn't work. The staff is super nice and friendly and let us stay in an interior room for the the rest of our stay. That room was better but the toilet wouldn't stop flushing and barely went down the kind lady at the front desk sent maintenance in he fixed it but the shower….the floor was “crunchy” and water would go all over the tiles floor no matter what you do. It was odd and dangerous. The phone didn't work and the microwave didn't turn when you turned it on. Beds are super comfy wood floors but if it's a remodel it was the bare minimum…. La Quinta, country inn, and holiday inn all basically within walking distance are much nicer. Likely wouldn't stay here again. But the restaurant and the woman Francine that works in there is a gem
I was verd pleased with the customer service. All amenities were very good. Cleanness of room was very good. The outside of building was clean and maintained. The motel was centrally located to good eating restraunt.
Check in agent was not well dressed and could have been more friendly. Hotel decor is quite nice in lobby and halls. Rooms are aLos renovated except the bathrooms. Not impressed at all that they did not put a few more dollars into ensuring the bathrooms are acceptable. Rusty hinges, faucets and bottom of tubs, Tub surrounds in poor shape. Vanity only a few feet off the ground, came up to below my hips and I am 5'3”. Toilet paper holder only inches from floor and behind the toilet. Faucet leaking as well. Very noisy plumbing from room above which woke us up. Hot tub only like warm and not working well, Breakfast amazing and really well done. Beds very comfortable, a bit softer but I loved it,
Had a wonderful time at Best Western, staff was wonderful, and breakfast was delicious! Even though they were remodeling the hotel in certain area, the lobby was beautiful! During our stay they were putting up Christmas decorations and it was beautiful!
This hotel is a nice hotel and convenient to get to. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was there were 2 pieces of metal sticking out of the bottom of the bed. I banged my shins on it twice, and it left a bruise.
Our AC didn't cool the room. Made a loud noise when it was turned on and let out a foul odor. When we told the staff the next morning we got a.... "sorry about that". We were told that rooms were being renovated, but thats questionable. Hallways had debris, stains, and dirt... not a great impression when walking to your room for the first time. You kinda know if the halls are that bad that the room will probably be in the same condition. Near the ice machine and vending, there was old furniture, broken parts, and trash stacked up. Not a pleasant view. I mean.. maybe they are renovating, and if they are.. id stay clear until its completely finished. The one highlight was the breakfast and staff.
Badly in need of renovation. Mold in bathroom sink, water in sink sprayed all over, shower curtain didn't hang correctly so had puddles of water on the floor after showering, dirty vents, peeled woodwork on doors, smoke smell even though was non-smoking room. The problems didn't seem to be from poor cleaning, but need of renovations.
This property is due for a remodel, or at least a deep cleaning. The room had an unpleasant odor which may have been the refrigerator. Broken handle on toilet, rust/corrosion on fixtures, opened condiments in the coffee area. The staff were very pleasant.
Got put in smoking room and told I wanted nonsmoking. Disgusting Finally gave me a different room I was suppose to get a $20 credit, and night check in girl didn't apply While checking out , I had to tell her Breakfast was good , but area needs to be cleaned better
Friendly front seat clerk on 2nd shift. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Tv signal was in and out so was hard to watch TV without it going in and out. Bathroom extremely small. Not much room. Water pressure was good if you like long showers water does go cold kind quick. Restaurant and bar inside hotel so you don't have to go searching for food
And I would NOT stay here if it was not a GREAT hotel. The room has always been clean and the bed is EXTREMELY comfortable. It's right across the street and within walking distance of four different restaurants, including a GREAT chinese buffet. Also, their breakfast was delicious, complete with biscuits and gravy. I stayed here while scouting out the area and then I and my moving crew stayed here while I was moving here. It's a GREAT hotel with wonderful customer service.
Room was very clean and a good clean scent. The location was very convenient to Huntsville! All the receptionists were very knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was quite filling and tasted great. I would stay there again.
Got a great nights sleep. Room was spacious, very quiet, and comfortable. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Excellent breakfast buffet - best I've had in a long time - lots of options and breakfast area was very large with plenty of seating.
This hotel is great breakfast is good and those wings from the restaurant are so great. The hotels and great and the beds are great for sleeping. Thanks guys love it there. I am finally a platinum member so great perks come with that.
The good: The public areas: Lobby, breakfast room and restaurant were clean and comfortable. Food was actually good. Staff is nice and are trying. The Bad: The guest rooms are very drab and depressing. The carpet is dirty, the bathroom floor looks awful, shower head not adjustable, the doors had streaks and stains, mirror not clean, strands of hair stuck to the ceiling in the bathroom, dirty looking room chair--I covered it with a beach towel to sit on it, the hallway carpets very dirty and the hall did not smell good. Our room smelled musty. Needs a lot of work. Others in my group had similar experiences. Should not be a Best Western PLUS. Would steer clear of this property until renovations occur. One can NOT blame the condition of this hotel on Covid.
I would consider this a typical hotel stay. Amenities were nice. Good location. Room was clean and staff was nice. Travel ball stay so we were not at the hotel much. TV remote did not work well but not really an issue.
My sister and I are celebrating our Alumni's homecoming this weekend. Everything is booked so finally found this place. It's trash. I'm confused at how much I paid vs the services I've received. The phone doesn't work (not even a dual tone). Room service never comes. Requests are never met. We're literally JUST staying here. And for this to be a high end area, the quality is below average. It smells as if the non smoking rooms used to be smoking rooms. Stains are on the sheets. The fridge doesn't get cold. Thank GOD the AC and microwave AT LEAST work. The lamps have shortages. The walls are THIN. We can't even open the sliding closet because it'll fall off…The toilet barely flushes. We wanted to go to the pool but NEVERMIND! The lobby is GORGEOUS which is clearly a distraction from the reality of this “hotel.” At this point, getting my money back would be the only accepted “apology.” I'm over this stay. Turn this “hotel” into something up to date. The photos are EXTREMELY misleading.
The Employees Were Super Nice!! Hands down this is Best Western is WAY better then the Best Western in Athens, AL. They offered me a late checkout which was so awesome since I over slept. Anyways overall this hotel was SUPER AWESOME!! I
The pictures don't quite give you the full picture. Room has that old musty smell reminiscent of those old road-side motels 40 to 50 years ago. We found pubic hair on the “clean” bed sheets. The manager moved us to another room where we found plenty of stains on the mattress. The manager was nice enough to give us a voucher for the restaurant in the lobby. We wish we had spent the extra $50 to stay at a nicer place.
The overall experience was great. There were areas in the lobby that needed attention. There were dirty areas. The pool and the hot tub was great as well as the breakfast. The outer noises did not impact my sleeping.
The good: - Location - Nice, comfy bed - Friendly staff - Cold room-unit A/C The bad: - *Very* dated room & building - Cleanliness - Value for money The lobby was nice. I received a room in what must be an older building that had exterior rooms, motel-style. It looked like a slightly updated Super 8 room. As I mentioned the room was cold and the bed was clean & comfortable, but the condition of the room left a LOT to be desired. Besides the dated lamps & scraped-up furniture, there were burn marks through the carpet, coffee stains on the wall, a 'booger' on the bathroom wall (gross!), a towel rack that was about to fall off said wall, dirt in the bathroom corners, and the shower tub was very worn; I felt like I was going to go through it while taking a shower. I visited the hotel bar/restaurant for a late dinner. While the menu was very basic, the food tasted good & fresh, beer was cold, and the bartender was on top of everything. It was only for one night and I wasn't in the room long, but if I was with my family or I was staying any longer, I would have asked for a different room in the newer building or possibly switched hotels. For the premium price I paid for the room, it was a very budget experience. I will stay elsewhere in the future. If you do stay here, be sure to ask for an 'interior' room in the newer building.
They got a Shuttle car that will take you 5 miles from the motel To go shopping They will drop you off When you're done call them and they will pick you up. They got a nice pool that sits In the middle of the hotel outside And they got a hot tub too
I love this hotel, from the look to the rooms. The staff are very friendly, it always clean and just wonderful. The fact they offer smoking rooms, a full breakfast, have a bar and dining room on site, with a pool table and a pool. You just can't go wrong. Being there always makes me smile and feel great.
The rooms were very clean, front desk staff was super friendly and courteous. The breakfast was great as usual. Wonderful stay! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a affordable clean and friendly visit
The carpets were stained, the entire place was dated. Really needs a complete renovation. Will never return. Also the toilet didn't work at times when flushing. Also the vestibule was not secured. Anyone could walk right in area. And it stunk.
Rooms and the main lobby had a musty smell. Hotel is old. Bed was soft but bathroom very small. Hot was was Luke warm. Was not hot at all. Will not stay here again. The hotel has rooms with exterior entrances along with interior entrances. I saw a prostitute doing business at the hotel taking several different men into her room at different times. Could see all this from my room.
Carpet worn out dirty, bathroom half clean carpet in room stained. Mold smell in the whole hotel area interior area was bad needs to be remodel which could have been done during the shut-down with COVID 19 with the travel of less guess. The hotel was said to be full the hole time and to pay the price for bad service never experience this at any Best Western Hotel in the past. They need to take care of this situation for future travelers.
The hotel overall was decent. However, the shower curtain was dirty and there were clipped dirty fingernails/toenails on the side of the mattress. The hotel is a little dated but it appeared to be clean. The lobby area was clean.
The price is very reasonable and you can leave your car in their lot while you fly to your vacation destination. The hotel shuttle takes you back and forth. A great deal. A light breakfast was provided too
This hotel was very clean and I felt secure. Due to the pandemic I felt like they handled the breakfast better than any place that I have stayed. They served a hot breakfast in a to go box. So many options inside my box. Then there was the basic options fruit and cereal..... Great place to stay and very clean.
Comfortable, easy access to airport and Redstone. Excellent service. Highly recommend the stay because of the location alone. Accessible to restaurants, golf course, freeway and shopping centers. Loved the location.
Everything was good and Will be back nice and clean and the bed is soft didn't want to leave will be back again to stay love it the lobby was nice and clean it's a good place to stay to get away to your self
I was meeting some friends and we stayed the weekend. The hotel was nice and had a great breakfast and friendly staff. I didn't get to see the whole hotel but is a big place. There are a lot of places to eat close and a few thing to see. I will stay again the next time in the area.
We had an inside room and it was quite comfortable. The room was clean and all amenities were working properly. There was a bit of noise on the parking lot late at night back I'm a light sleeper and this did not seem to wake my wife. Excellent location only minutes from the Space Center.
We had a great stay here, the only thing is that there was broken glass behind the night stand and candy bar wrappers there and behind the bed. They have a wonderful breakfast and the staff was great. We would stay again.
We checked in on Monday 11/9/20 we will check out on 11/12/20 let me tell you Misty has gone above and beyond to help us! I wish I could rate this hotel more than 5 stars! I'm extremely thankful for everything you've done to help my son to be comfortable! Thank you for everything you've done!!! I'll definitely come back and stay here!
My wife and I visited to deal with some issues in Huntsville. When we checked in and went to our room (128) we noticed that the counter in the bathroom seemed very low and double checked to make sure we had not been assigned an ADA room . Everything else was working fine. The next morning when we showered we discovered that we could not fully switch to the shower it would never fully engage -- lessening the pressure since water was still coming out of the tub faucet. If you tried to cool the temperature even less pressure became available We were out of the room from 8AM until 5PM and when we returned our room had not been serviced. When I called to inquire why I was told that due to Covid they would only service a room if we were completely out AND requested it. We were supposed to be told that at check in but were not. Fortunately we were leaving the next day but it would have been nice to have had the option. Every staff person we encountered was very friendly!
for a plus hotel nothing to be a PLUS FOR!!!...like a old days inn not worth the money..they charged me 2 times for a room still didnt get my money back..If you looking to be careful of the covid-19 be very careful they dont follow rules anyone can just walk around included staff no mask
We stayed in a king bed non-smoking room for a 3 night stay, this hotel was perfect! Easy to find and close to a lot of places. Patrick checked us in and was very friendly and quick. The room was clean when we arrived, everything was in working order. Their beds and pillows are super comforatble! We (correctly) assumed that there would be no daily housekeeping due to COVID, and that was not an issue for us. Air conditioner was great and the room was quiet. They offer breakfast until 10am and have these awesome to-go containers of eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc due to the COVID situation and we thought it was great that we could still get a hot meal. Perfect all around for out little trip!
I traveled during the Covid pandemic. The day I arrived they just opened back up their restaurant/bar. I'm sorry to say I didn't try it but looked very inviting as did the outside seating. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. It's in the center so you have rooms 3/4 the way around 2 stories. This is an older property but they have done extensive updates that made me feel comfortable. The only thing was the bathroom was small in comparison to other BW Plus that I've stayed at. That's the only thing that gives the age of the property away. Plenty of parking around the building and very well lit at night. There are rooms with outside entrances as well as inside corridor rooms. The 3 nights I stayed were quiet and I got good sleep. Almost forgot....breakfast was still in "Covid" mode but was very good. You just took it back to your room to eat.
I love this friendly and clean hotel. The amenities are wonderful and the food is great. I will continue to stay at this hotel when I'm in town. The Lounge has great food options and the drinks are amazing
I was helping my son relocate to the area for a new job...he paid for my room for me and my pet! Ashley was kind as it was a puppy so gave me a room next to the door. Ashley was also helpful with places to see when I come back! I met another crew by the door who went to show me where the dryer was, then back to the office as it took my .75,lol! The staff were all courteous and I even got a member to walk my key to the counter as my rescue pup was scared and didn't want to move! After I had checked out and found a park for my travel trailer and was trying to fill out the pdf application without success, I returned to the hotel where I was given a room key to the business center by the manager and front desk staff gave me suggestions on how to work the application file! I had never done one like that before! Not many people would go out of their way to help a person after they've checked out and left! Great Manager and great staff and wonderful hotel!
I was in town to conduct pressing family business, so I made reservations for a week's stay which is close to my family's home. I kept in mind the pandemic's impact on travel and was prepared for a reduction in service, one being the breakfast offered in the AM's. The staff was friendly although there didn't appear to be many guests upon check-in. The room was neat and clean with all expected amenities. I wiped down all frequently touched surfaces with disinfecting wipes after returning for each night's stay with a Lysol spraying as an extra measure. The bathroom sink in Room 112 was clogged which I reported to the front desk upon checkout. Overall I would say that this hotel offers great value for the price. I didn't use the outdoor pool nor the exercise room. I didn't visit the area where the complimentary breakfast was being served aware that grab & go bags were only offered on account of the pandemic. I was there only for sleep at night, but I will return when restrictions are lifted to take advantage of what is offered.
I chose to stay at this Best Western as I had a meeting at the nearby airport. I can honestly say that I've never been in a hotel that was as clean as this property. There was literally not a speck of dust anywhere in the room and the bathroom was sparkling! The employees could not have been more gracious and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was my first Best Western in years, but if there are more like this one, it probably won't be my last.
Hotel room was clean and adequate. The employees were courteous and helpful. The breakfast selections were old fruit, a sandwich with unidentified ingredients and a few cool drink selections. The coffee was awful! I chose this hotel because they accept pets, which is a wonderful amenity. However, there isn't a specific dog walking area so every patch of grass within the property was covered with dog feces. The poop bag stand was empty the entire weekend.
Initially I took a chance on this hotel because of the reviews and the price. This is definitely an older hotel, the hallways and stairwells confirm that. The room itself was decent, the bed was comfy but the bathrooms are so small that the bathroom door can touch the toilet if you don't angle it correctly. Also, I was disappointed to find out AFTER my stay that complimentary breakfast was offered, the young man that checked me in mentioned nothing about it. Also, the hallways get pretty noisy around 7a, loud hospitality carts, workers yelling at each other. I would only suggest this place for a night or two, nothing more than that.
I travel by myself and I'm picky about hotels. I booked here purely because they had a shuttle from the airport. And I am SO GLAD I did!! The hotel is beautiful and the staff was super friendly! I'll definitely stay here again!
I booked this hotel because of positive reviews, cheaper price than some of the other hotels in the area. I wasn't disappointed at all for the most part. This hotel has been there for a while, as it still has the style of a large picture window facing the outside toward the parking lot, which is the room I was given. It has the older style heat and air system that is below the window, with the back of it outside. With all of this said, it was still very clean, quiet, comfortable and exactly what I paid for. It was quiet, never heard any other quest the entire night. The young lady at check in was very nice, friendly and quick to get my room to me. The lobby area was very big, clean and comfortable looking. I do recommend this hotel. It's not the greatest or fanciest I'm sure, but if you are on a budge like I was, save yourself some money and stay here with no worries or concerns. I am glad I chose this hotel. Again, it's clean, comfortable, convenient to restaurants and the interstate, a Walmart and some stores if you need supplies. Thank you Best Western for a good quality stay for my first time in the area.
The hotel is not the newest or the nicest but it has been well taken care of. This stay was one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel! My wife and I were here for our anniversary and we loved every minute of it. The room was nice and clean, all of our amenities were in perfect order. The staff was amazing, they were all extremely helpful and courteous. We could not have had a better time. Also, the breakfast was amazing. The bar was very nice and the bartender that night was very helpful in recommending places for my wife and I to go. As long as our stays are as good as this one, we will be coming back to this hotel anytime we are in the area.
Great place to stay and to work quietly. All the amenities of home to some degree. Good hot breakfast clean room with space to turn around.I enjoy the intimacy of Madison. Whenever I have occassion to spend time in the Huntsville area, I always choose the Best Western. My granddaughter love it, and she love the chef Joey and his assistant..
My wife and I were back in town for another visit and stayed here once again. No problems this time with our room. The daily servicing of our room was prompt and early. We always enjoy seeing the breakfast manager and BACON! We'll be back when next in the area.
We had a room block of 25 rooms, a bunch of friends going to a concert. Setting up the block of rooms was quick, easy, and very professional. This was 1 of 3 hotels in the area I called for the room block. 1 hotel called me back a week later, 1 never did. I had this hotel booked and under contract the next day from the original phone call.
We had an issue with a very wet rug area due to shower water leaking from the curtain . Didn't understand why they didn't vacuum the water up when reported. We found they just put towels back down.Bathroom vanity was dusty and dirty and faucet had a musty smell when turned on.
I spent most of two different weeks this summer here and then two more nights at Christmas. Also brought another couple who stayed separate from me in this hotel. They enjoyed it as much as I did! The people are consistently so friendly and helpful that I almost feel like it's my home away from home!
This hotel is superb. The staff is friendly beyond the norm. The food for breakfast and also the restuarant food is delicious. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The lounge had anything you needed for entertaining. Pool table, sitting area, hot tub, pool all were simply out standing.
I've stayed at this hotel many time over the last 7 years. At first I was really impressed with the value. However, it has really gone down hill and needs to be remodeled. My tub wouldn't drain and I reported it every day but nothing was done. There was a short in the bathroom light switch so that the switch had to be wiggled to keep the light on. The bathroom vent smelled like cigarettes. The toilet wobbled and there wasn't any extra toilet paper. The pillows were the size of chick-lets and lumpy. The room was reasonably clean for the overall condition and the breakfast is generally good but the hard surface floor was very sticky. The restrooms in the lobby needed to be restocked, two days in a row. I really hate that this hotel has come to this. The location is very convenient for my needs but I will not stay again until a remodel has been completed.
great place to stay,, friendly and very helpful staff,,, good clean hotel and great location, great rooms and good place to stay,,,, will stay there again if I am in the area,, also pet friendly and great accomidations,, beautiful lobby and the whole complex was well maintained,
I have family in Madison and always stay at this Best Western Plus! I find the personnel always friendly and competent. The rooms are all a good size and clean. You have a choice of first floor rooms with indoor and/or outdoor entrance is you so choose. The breakfast buffet is like most but is better managed with hot items being hot and does not run out of options. Also, finding a table is never a problem as they are kept clear and clean. The front desk personnel are triendly and competent. I had s self-created problem with reservations and the desk clerk said, "no problem. I can take care of that,", and she did. A couple of years ago I stayed at a couiple of other local establishments but now I always book my stays at this Best Western Plus!
We had our first BW experience this past summer on our vacation, and we made a vow to always seek out BW hotels going forward. This one in Madison didn't disappoint. Everything was clean, the staff was helpful, and the robust breakfasts are always a bonus. Thank you for giving us a place to stay when we're not home where we feel like we're at home.
Hotel at Madison,AL was very nice and staff were friendly. I stayed here for a total of 29 days and never had to ask for anything. Only drawback is the onsite laundry is on 2nd floor and not accessible from front of building and elevator was on back corner away from ADA rooms.
My husband and I are locals and I must say, I wish we'd known about this hotel years ago! We got to visit it today because a road show from Michigan was taking place in one of the meeting rooms. Truth be told- we've never considered this area for any of our company events or our family “stay-cations” nor would we have recommended it to any of our family who frequently fly in from toronto and flint. That is, until today! Wow wow wow! From the moment we stepped on the property and saw the fresh floral landscaping being installed for winter, to the walk through the amazingly warm lobby and throughout the meeting area- we were blown away. We met the Assistant General Manager Chris York while we were at the road show and he showed me around some of the property, I was very impressed! He was clearly proud of the property and his work there and it showed in all the details he gave me. Including the history of the property. As a business owner; I know how difficult it is to find someone who values their work and takes ownership of it. That's a very rare quality that Chis has! As a seasoned traveler who's been around the world and back, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here or recommend it to my family, friends, and fellow travelers.
This is probably the best Best Western I have ever stayed at. Lots of amenities including a restaurant which had great food. The bed was so comfortable! I was in a room on the end and the internet was a little spotty, but otherwise no complaints! Would definitely recommend and stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Best Western in Madison. I have a really bad back and I slept better on their mattress than I have in years. I will definitely be staying there again. Not to mention the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Perfect stay!
Clean , spacious rooms. Outdoor access to ours. Must have been the older part. Huge breakfast area and bountiful buffet. Ants had invaded the vanity over night, but we were leaving so we let them have it! $110 ,for two incl. tax.
The place was very beautiful clean and the people were amazing!! Loved the food and had an excellent time!! The front desk ladies were very nice and helpful and loved their smiles!! Erin was awesome and funny!!
Please ensure that all rooms are thoroughly cleaned, even the restrooms. A little over an hour after settling into my room, I needed to use the restroom. I found that the toilet was filthy (it had not been cleaned at all). I attempted to call the front desk and got no answer. I then walked to the front desk to inform the desk clerk and asked if someone could come and clean the toilet. She said someone would be there. The entire time she was chewing gum and NEVER offered an apology. Over 45 minutes passed, and still no one had come to clean the toilet. I called the front desk, and was told that all housekeeping personnel had left for the day and that a maintenance person would come to clean the toilet which, she claimed, was pulling into the parking lot as we spoke. Another 20 minutes went by, still no one had come to clean the toilet. I requested to be moved to another room (I have bilateral hip injuries). Still, no concern from the desk attendant.
This is a best Western plus. What does that mean? The elevator not in the lobby. It's actually on other side of hotel. If you have upper room with low number you are in for a walk. What is up with the tv? See picture. It never works. Rooms and hotel out dated. Hope not to come back.
Hotel convenient to Airport. Shuttle quick. Friendly, helpful personnel overall. Clean and comfortable. Nice big rooms - good beds. TV, WiFi, hair dryer, ironing board, iron. Restraurant good. Cookies good. Would recommend.
Fitness room was filthy, hallway carpets stained. Horrible odor in hallways. Fire exit doors slammed all night making it impossible to get a good nights sleep. Tub filled up as you took a shower. Sketchy people in the parking lots and watch where you park puke was everywhere out back in the parking lot.
We were on 1st floor in the back. Just go right into room from parking lot. But room was musty carpet look discusting. 2cd floor room much better. But the hallway carpet had alot of stains. And there were long hairs on floor in bathroom and tub in 2cd floor room. Front desk sent someone to clean hair but they only cleaned hair on floor not shower. So i dont think shower was even cleaned in 1st place. So dont be fooled by nice lobby. Hotel only satisfatory. Breakfast was good.
Check in was dissapointing because the clerk was distracted by coworkers walking up and interrupting my checkin, as did desk calls, and 2 cell phone calls. This person didn't indicate how to get to the room either. There's more, but distracted and not interested in the customer's experience sum up the front desk. Around 9pm discovered the TV and refrigerator were unplugged. Fixed that and found the remote didn't work. Called the front desk, who couldn't help. At 10:45pm the front desk called to say so.eone starting work at 11pm might could help. A nice guy showed up with a new remote, it didn't work either. Learned the guy was the shuttle driver, and his first week on the job.
Place was completely disgusting, odor was also gross. Poor cleanliness. There was dirt behind toilet seat. There was crumbs on the bed. We noticed a hole on the wall by the ac unit which terrified us to think insects or rodantes could come in during the night. Gross.
This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel when I am in the Huntsville area, I have stayed at some of the downtown locations and paid more for less to stay closer. The drive really isn't bad, even during rush hour. But I work out of Washington DC and don't mind the Beltway. Staff is alert, happy and helpful.
The hotel was centrally located to all the activities we attended while there. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was very good and the room very clean and roomy. The bed and bedding were comfy. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling in the area or who just wanted a weekend get-away!
I inherited a house in Huntsville that I am clearing out. My wife and I stay here because it is reasonably priced and convenient. The staff is very friendly -- particularly the gentleman who runs the breakfast -- he and my wife are friends and he is always welcoming when we return. The breakfast is excellent and competitive with Embassy Suites except it is not cooked to order. But they have all you can eat bacon -- yes BACON! This trip was disappointing because of the following and I have included pictures. When we arrived at the door to our room (147) we noticed black tape at the bottom of the lock and a part hanging out. I called the front desk to report it and someone stopped by (to also deliver a light bulb as one of the lamps did not have a bulb) and he said that was where the battery for the door lock was. My wife did not feel secure with that info. No one ever stopped by during our 4 night stay (to our knowledge and the picture was taken the day we checked out). There is also a gash in the carpet next to the side of the bed nearest the windows. The towel rack in the bathroom appears to be broke -- it is slanted down and the towels will fall off. Additionally, the grab bar in the tub seems to be only held by the tub enclosure. During our 4 nights stay we never received new soaps -- or more importantly -- shampoo. Had my wife not packed her shampoo we would have run out. It would be nice if a small table could be placed in the room as the chair and ottoman are not comfortable if you have to put books, newspapers, drinks, etc. on the floor while seated. Finally, during the entire time we were there it seemed as if the dehumidifier on the A/C was not working. All fabrics in the room felt damp to the touch. We will plan to return but this stay was most disappointing!
I stayed at the BW Plus in Madison for a business trip to Huntsville. The hotel is convenient to the airport, which is a plus if you're flying into Huntsville. They have a free shuttle that'll take you anywhere within a five mile radius of the hotel. It's available 24/7, which is pretty awesome. The check in was smooth and relatively quick. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I was off to my room to relax. The hotel is a small maze and if you're not paying attention, you might get lost. I found my room and settled in. For the price, it was a nice room. Everything was clean, nice bed, well stocked toiletries, etc. The breakfast buffet was one of the better ones I've ever had. They had anything from biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, fresh fruit or cereal. Next time I'm in Huntsville for business, I'll definitely look to stay here again!
Great stay, wonderful staff. Good, hearty breakfast. I feel absolutely terrible I can't remember the name of the lady at the front desk, who checked me in early and is there in the mornings. She is so wonderful and kind. Southern hospitality personified. Will stay again if in the area.
The rooms were clean, staff was realy friendly and helpful. The restaurant was actually very good and cant beat having the convenience of an onsite place to eat/drink after a long work day. Breakfast was hot and good too.
Our travel to the West coast was very nice and reasonably priced. At the time, Best Western had a special promotional in effect where we could stay free at their motels on selected nights for I think, 10000 points. The reservations clerk was very helpful in helping me to plan the use of my points to maximize the value I received. And, of course, each of the Best Western motels were very comfortable and came complete with an excellent, free breakfast.
I checked in for a bit of R&R. The rooms are neat, comfortable and the desk attendant Amanda was nice, professional and pleasant to talk to. There are plenty of restaurants and stores close by so you won't have a lack of amenities if you need them. The beds are cozy and the bathtubs have a whirlpool function to them which is a nice touch. I highly recommend anyone to take advantage of this hotel. Definitely worth the trip.
So my Husband and I stayed at this BW in Madison Al, as we stay in many BW, but this one is outdated! The staff is friendly, the breakfast is ok, but that's where the pleasantries stop. The room was very outdated, when we first walked in, the filter to the ac was sticking up out of the ac unit, it took over 2.5 hours for the room to cool down, the bed is very uncomfortable, they didn't even have it made properly, the sheets were coming off before we even got in the bed, the toilet takes over 45 seconds to actually flush and go down, yes I counted, then takes another minute to fill up, and I point this out because it's very loud, so if you use it through the night, and someone else is with you, it may disturb them. I will never stay here again.
Room is clean. Beds are good sleepers. Ample parking. Feel safe. All the stuff works. Mostly quiet but had to turn the AC fan to always on because the constant cycling was waking me up. Guest laundry is a bargain if the machines are not broken. Breakfast is pretty good - none of that heat & serve stuff. Some rooms open straight to outside. On a busy street you should not walk on, you need to come and go by car.
My family and I were very pleased with our stay here! The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and the rooms were very clean. We were able to keep our car there while on vacation out west and they were more than happy to take us to the airport, as well as pick us up! If we ever fly out of Huntsville again, we will definitely stay here!
This hotel was one the best we have stayed in after traveling across the US for three weeks. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The restaurant served the southern food you look for in the south. Breakfast was also very good. The rooms were clean and quite. Since we were by the pool we were very surprised how quiet the room was because of the kids swimming in the pool. I would recommend this hotel for staying while visiting Huntsville.
Staff was very nice, but facility is old and dingy. Room needs better lights and faucet leaked. Room was pretty large. Gym needs new equipment. Breakfast very bland, coffee awful. Very close to airport.
Need to do a better job on the cleanest of the rooms and have working washer and dryer. The hotel staff was friendly, they helped me out when I needed help with some of the issues with the hotel. Great front desk staff
My stay was kinda horrible. My wife and I travel a lot for business and havd stayed at best western's all over the country and this was probably my worst. The staff who checked us in was very focused on her phone but at least was helpful. The place had kinda an odor like standing water, as if a leak had seeped into the carpet and been ignored. The room was ok, I try not to expect to much of hotel rooms, though it had the same leaking water odor and feel to it. I called the midnight staff to see about a ride to the airpor in the morning and the phone wasn't answered. I went down to ask and found the young girl working the fron desk curdled up on a chair behind a door passed out. I left her that way. In the morning breakfast was a surprise. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a best western of not the best. The girl working the morning at the front desk, Samantha I think, was more obsessed with her phone than the woman the night before and very dismissive. I met two managers, kinda. The male manager Chris greeted us and said good morning and was polite. The other manager,a blond female whos name I didnt get, spent her morning gossiping with Samantha about how lazy the other manager Chris was. This manager was in shorts and a tank top unlike all the other employees including Chris whom were all in uniform, which I personally find very unprofessional. When leaving I was lucky enough to run into the driver Rob. He was great. Very respectable. He got us in the car straight away. I personally enjoyed being able to avoid the trainwreck that was the front desk. Airport ride was smooth and great conversation. Rob was by far the best part of our stay.
This is an excellent hotel with so much space! The dining and breakfast areas are so huge that it is like you are dining in a huge banquet hall. The food was delicious in the restaurant/ lounge area and is very reasonably priced. We enjoyed eating there much more than the expensive places we tried in Huntsville. We understood that this was once a popular dining spot called the Port of Madison, and I am so glad the tradition of great food continues. Also, many other restaurants are located across the street and within walking distance of the hotel. It was so close to so many attractions, including the space center, and it was very easy to get downtown Huntsville, only taking a few minutes once we hopped on the freeway, which was just around the corner. We loved the value, the delicious meals and all of the relaxing space!
Very clean , very friendly, nice private pool, very good breakfast , nice bar down stairs. The king suite had a jacuzzi. It was a very reasonable rate. Wall controled thermostat. Outside benches with cushions to smoke at, our stay was very comftorable.
Best hospitality in the business, never met a better all around staff! Anything you need they are on it, better than a 5 star Hotel, clean rooms, best Breakfast bar by far. Stay here you wont regret it and the price wow!
Front desk had amazing customer service only problem is outside doors don't lock at night breakfast was awesome best at any hotel I ever stayed at room was clean and I am very picky about that on problem is bathroom was really small but over all we enjoyed and pool was good
Beautiful Hotel, close to major interstate. Awesome decor, room was nice. Staff was nee and not familiar with my check in process using points and said, "it requires a manager to use a free night as well as to upgrade." I had made my reservations online r.
The room itself was nice...but it is an older hotel. The hallways and the overall layout of the hotel is strange. Very long hallways and elevator is hard to find. Felt like a mouse in a maze trying to navigate the confusing corridors. I would probably look for a different hotel if staying in this area again.
I'm a hotel snob but didn't get to choose the location of my stay this trip. I was NOT disappointed! The bartender needed some customer service skills but my drink was excellent. There was a storm approaching and the staff was kind and informative when asking us to exit the pool. They were very patient with us as all the parents and players piled into the covered outdoor patio area.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give amazing military discounts. My friend and I needed to stay 3 nights but only had a room with 2 beds for 2 nights, We had to change rooms but they did get a very comfortable cot.
southern hospitality at it"s finest! great value, great food an exceptional experience from the time we checked in to the time we left to go home.We would highly recommend staying here to others. We will be coming back!
We stayed 2 nights. Friday night June 7,2019 was GREAT!! Misty made us feel so welcomed and right at Home. We went to the Bar and the Lady workin that night was additionally so friendly. The Bathtub in our Room had Jets in it, which is so relaxing. Saturday night we go down to the Bar and the young girl working was rude and hateful she took our drink order and left, we have no idea where she went so we went to another Bar somewhere else. I was livid!! We chose to stay there so we didn't have to leave the property all weekend, but because someone didn't want to work Saturday noght we had to go elsewhere. And Sunday morning when I went to check out, the lady working that morning was rude and hateful. Never smiled Never asked about our stay and Never Thanked us!! If I knew that Misty and the other lady were working I would stay more often but I refuse to go and be treated like I am NOT wanted there.
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and it is a very nice. Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious! Didn't go in the pool so no help there. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. We like the Rib Shack right next door!
This is a really good place to stay. Some of the rooms are dated in their size and door widths but overall you will be impressed. The staff is perfect. They are attentive, informational, and very accommodating. There is a café in the hotel that serves good food. If your looking for healthy eating probably not your venue. There are plenty of other places near by. This is an excellent location for anything in the Madison-Huntsville area. This is very close to the airport. If you are in the area, stay here.
Returning home from my nephew's funeral, and this was just the experience I needed. Easy check-in that even included a free goody bag with two water bottles and some snacks. The room was clean and quite, and the lounge was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
BWP didn't disappoint but surprised me with their generous and tasty breakfast buffet, comfortable beds and friendly staff. The location is perfect being a stone's throw away from the airport and 565 highway which takes you anywhere in Huntsville within 10 minutes. This was a good pick and recommend it!
quick overnight to the Space and Rocket Center. The BW was one of the high spots of the trip. The room was extra quiet. Didn't even know that there were other guests there. Very quiet and peaceful evening.
This is our motel of choice as we make our annual trip to Florida. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, and the continental breakfast is always well presented. Poll was under repair at the time of this visit.
I have inherited property in Huntsville (and live in South Carolina) so my wife and I have made the trek several times (twice so far this year) and this is our choice of places to stay. Although it is not in Huntsville, it is conveniently located off I 565 and just a short drive away from the house I am working on. The staff is always friendly from check-in to restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone speaks and seems genuinely interested. Their breakfast is better than most since it has BACON ! It also has yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits and gravy and fruit as well as waffle makers. Did I say that they have BACON ???
Enjoyed our stay. Quiet environment. Great breakfast. Excellent customer service. Would recommend for weekend or extended stay. Didn't get to see much of the area but there were plenty of local restaurants and places to shop
I was working at HSV/Madison County Convention/Visitors Bureau kiosk located in the Huntsville International Airport. We have had a lot of travel weary passengers because of weather related diversions. A visitor, traveling with her sister and young child, came to me saying she had a 6 hour layover, was hungry and exhausted. So I suggested calling local hotels with shuttle service. I reached Ashley, the manager at this BW Plus...she was very sympathetic and offered a VERY reasonable rate to help this traveler out! The travelers were so grateful. OUTSTANDING SERVICE! WAY TO GO, ASHLEY!
I was staying at the hotel for a wedding. Apart from the food that we were served during the reception at the wedding, we were very comfortable. I didnt like that they didnt season the food very well. I know the bride and groom picked everything, but it could have been better. Otherwise my stay was very nice.
This BW Plus property was a surprise. I read a couple of negative reviews, but I try to keep an open mind on that. The check in staff was very pleasant. The room was very nice, clean and had all we needed. The mattress was comfortable. I especially liked that there was a nice outside pool and hot tub, althoug due to weather I was not able to use which was annoying. But it was clean and very well taken care of. We were most impressed by the bar/restaurant onsite. Although not a restaurant, they offered different foods to eat. The lounge was pretty and had comfortable seating and several TVs. There also was a nice patio for outdoor seating but again, the weather was an issue. The bartender was amazing! She was pleasant, with that Southern hospitality, fixed good drinks and fixed good bar food. It was also very affordable. The breakfast was served in a sit down room with china and silverware instead of plastic. That was a plus. The food there was good and varied. Check out was easy and we talked with the manager upon leaving and complimented her on the hotel. She was very nice and professional. This was a nice stop. Would go back for sure. Lynda from Ohio
They did not have my reserved rooms at check in. After front desk shuffling rooms for 20 mins. I ended up getting handicap room with broken shower. My colleague that had the other room had to change rooms twice. First room had bad smoke room, second was already occupied.
We always enjoy our stay at this hotel!! Would recommend it to any and everyone. We love how close it is to everything and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Already looking forward to our next stay here!!
We have now stayed here twice and loved it both times. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Our family was visiting for activities in Huntsville at rhe Von Braun Center and the drive was less than 20 minutes. Breakfast was a great bonus.
I wrote a review of this place over a year ago and just noticed that it didn't "post" (or I didn't hit the submit button), anyway... Great place to stay, reasonably priced, everything worked, was clean and serviceable, really close to KHSV airport pretty easy access to I-565 if you need to get to Redstone Arsenal or Huntsville downtown. Really liked my stay and recommended it to a bunch of people during this last year who also had good experiences here (transient military flight crews). The desk clerks here deserve a medal for their "patience" with some of their guests at check-in (naturally it's the person in front of me at check-in), it only took me about 30 seconds; 5 seconds to check out. Breakfast was standard fare (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns etc. etc.) hot and seemed to be plenty of it, fair amount of guests during this stay and the breakfast lady's were working pretty hard to keep up (good job by them). The whole place is single story so the water pressure was great, the bed was firm, and the TV had plenty of channels. Hard to beat the value of this place, joined the Best Western rewards program at the end of this stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, big clean rooms. Clean hotel. Great breakfast with a superb selection of items. Close to Huntsville airport. Bring your own flavored creamer. If the pool was indoor or heated it would have been perfect.
We stayed at this hotel for one night while in Huntsville. When we arrived, check-in was fine. Then when we got to our room, it was HOT. The thermostat said it was 89 degrees in the room, and the heat was running. We tried to turn the cool air on instead, but even when set on cool it continued blowing hot air. So, we called the front desk and asked for some help getting it to work. They said they would send someone up to help. Then, we turned the whole air conditioner off to get it to stop blowing hot air and opened the door to try to cool the room off. After waiting for over an hour, helping family members get in (and then having to move them to a new room because they hadn't been given the accessible room they had reserved), we went to the front desk and asked for a new room because the one we were in was still 79 degrees. They gave us a new room and 5,000 reward points for our trouble, and when we got back to the room to move our things out, someone was there working on the air conditioner, and she ended up unplugging it because she couldn't get it to work either. We got into the new room and went to sleep. The next morning, we enjoyed the breakfast, and then we returned to the room to get ready to check out. While we got ready, our son tried to watch TV and found that it displayed a colored screen that would not go away, so we turned it off and back on and unplugged it and plugged it back in, turned it on again, and still, no picture. Just a colored screen. So, we let him watch something on the iPad while we finished getting ready to go. By this time we were tired of it and didn't even bother with reporting the TV problem. This place needs some work.
Very close to the airport and lots of food places nearby. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Internet was sufficient and the TV had lots on channels. The gym was also clean and had sufficient equipment (elliptical, bike treadmill, workout machine). Would be nice to have some dumbbells too though. Overall, a had a very good stay here
Pros: Nice Lobby Area, Superfriendly Staff, Good Location. Water pressure in the shower is super-powerful. Cons: All Rooms and Bathrooms need to be renovated/upgraded because they are very outdated. Also, the bathroom is super small, it's a hobbit-bathroom. Drainage problems in the tub and sink.
I'm not to happy due to the fact of being charged double for 3 nights, and the assistant manager an General manager were very rude when "trying" to help me. But I love this place. breakfast was great as always, beds and rooms were nice. But some of the staff needs to have a little courtesy and respect for its clients.
I stayed here for a week and loved every moment. The staff were all amazingly friendly. The rooms are large with coffee makers and mini fridges. The breakfast includes eggs, waffles, bacon and sausages, potatoes, cereals, danishes and yogurts. There is a large pool and jacuzzi, nice fitness center and business center with a free printer. The restaurant has specials nightly and bar bites. The bar has happy hour specials and an indoor seating and a pool table and outdoor area with tables. Free shuttles to the airport make this the perfect place to stay.
I love this location and the staff. Not to mention it's by good eats and the shuttle will take you anywhere as long as it's available. The pool and hot tub are open late. The rooms are clean and come with pharmacopeia toiletries. I enjoy my stay every time I visit. I would definitely recommend
I don't know their names, but the young lady that worked the front desk saturday morning (approx. 1 a.m. and the guy working with her) were extremely helpful to me and my family that night/morning. On March 2, 2019, around 1 a.m., my daughter had a seizure while we were staying at your hotel. I ran downstairs with her in my arms, along with my other daughter to try and get help. They were very caring and professional and got help there immediately. The guy that was working there had some prior healthcare knowledge so he helped me by calling the hospital and staying on the phone with the operator to explain properly what was happening as it was happening. Being far away from home and without my wife there to help me in the situation both had me in an unbearable situation as a father, and they were there to assist in any way they could. I am so grateful to your staff for being as caring as they were. I hope that I can repay them both for their caring actions one day.
I can honestly say that of all my worldly travels, personally and professionally, I've never had better customer service from a hotel staff. Ms. Ashley and her GM, Miss Tiffany, were superb in every way! I'll definitely be back soon due to their customer service alone. The room was perfectly clean, neat and super quite. This place will ALWAYS BE MY GO TO in the Huntsville/Madison, Alabama area. Check it out for your self! The hotel lobby is amazing as is the bar just off the lobby. I give my experience a solid 10. Thomas
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and I decided on this hotel due to the price and location. The employees where very nice and welcoming. The hotel's room are out a bit outdated but the staff tried to clean the room as best as they can. I was assigned a smoking room but found out the odor was simply overwhelming and the smoke from the other room permeates from the adjoining door to my room. The breakfast buffet was typical but delicious but got old after a few days.
Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville is hands down the best hotel in Madison Huntsville area. The staff is friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed. The breakfast is great and has many different options. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again!
At this hotel frequently in past six months. I request smoking room so not so picky typically. This was rank. Inside of drawers were so dirty I had to clean before placing clothes. One light out in bathroom. Shower had been wiped down but not well. I scrubbed so my wife could use. Light over sink worked sometime, other times not. Handles on toilet and sink were loose. Remote for tv had issue with down volume button. Corners of carpet need bed were very dusty. I've stayed here and pleased each time. First visit was about $80 per night, last visit was $105 for same room type on same weekend nights. I'm not sure I'll go back. I clean the rooms I stay in to make it easier on maids. Apparently the do less to show their appreciation.
Comfy bed, okay breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms and perfect location. I have stayed here many nights and never really had a complaint. Price could be better though. You get what you're paying for.
Great place to stay. Great Breakfast served everyday! Clean room every time.Exercise room looks great but we have never used it as we are busy visiting family. We stay here every time we visit our son and his family.
Good breakfast (better than the HI across the street), clean rooms but with a poor bathroom. Not the most friendly staff I've seen, but all in general competent. We used the shuttle to go to the Space Center and it was fast and free.
One night stay. I am sure the breakfast is and was good; however, my crew had to leave before breakfast commenced. Bed was comfortable for me. One of the big PLUSES was it was quiet!!!! Staff was very friendly and cordial.
Hotel was very nice and clean. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable but wasn't bad. Best hotel breakfast by far, we had a large group and multiple people agreed on this. Great location easy to get to and from UAH. Definitely will stay here again the next time we are in town for softball.
Everything was good except the high speed internet; this kept dropping in the room I was in. The free breakfast had everything except for bananas, which I thought they would have. The coffee cups could be still better, as they have a paper smell. Rooms are clean; carpet in the hallway should be changed, and even in the room.
We stayed here for one night because it was our halfway point to home and it was near the Harley Davidson dealer. It's nice that they are pet friendly as we have our dog with us on vacation. The room was huge. The bathrooms were small. The bed was unbelievably comfortable though!
Cant use dumpster ..water doesnt drain in sink toilet tub..ac sucks. That makes for being uncomfortable but otherwise decent hotel.plenty of parking breakfast and coffee. They never changed sheets in a week because i marked them is how i know so bring your own sheets.
Great hotel and friendly staff. Stopped on our way to Florida! Would stay here again! Beds were comfy, room temp was perfect, pool was nice and food was great in the lounge and for breakfast. Would stay here again!
Stay here several times a year with business and has plenty of places around to eat and rooms are very well kept and will be back for sure, I think they can do better on business travelers with room rates and that some people do work on weekend
They have a great staff, breakfast on point, and they have a big pool, smoking and non smoking rooms, and close To food Location close to the airport fir your fly in convince, they also have a shuttle to take u if you need transportation..
The room was very clean. They had a nice full continental breakfast . Staff are very kind and courteous, Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff ,supermarket ,shops, restaurants bars are within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody!
Great hotel good people this hotel has a home feeling and all the employees are very friendly and helpful and this was the most comfortable place I ever stayed at and I will be staying there again and again and again
This is obviously an older property that's been revitalized and re-branded by Best Western. The building design was older, but the room had been recently up-dated. Very comfortable. Excellent bed. All appliances worked. Only complaint was that there didn't seem to be an ice machine within a reasonable distance form our room. Had to walk outside and go deep into adjacent building before finding ice machine (which worked very well). Personnel were polite. I would recommend this if you are looking for less expensive accommodations. Aldo, pet friendly.
I stayed here while on business. The hotel was nice. There is a swimming pool and hot tub (I didn't use either) and a hotel lounge was available. There were other amenities listed, like laundry, but I didn't use them as I was only there for the night. The staff were helpful, even hooking me up with a preferred guest goody bag. (I have a loyalty number, but apparently the bags were only supposed to go the the "diamond members"). The room was fine, with a desk and upholstered chair/ottoman available, in addition to the king size bed. The pillows included a long, round cushion type, which was actually nice to tuck underneath my knees; this is the first hotel I've stayed at that had one. The bed itself was very comfortable. The bathroom was fairly small, with very little space if the door was open. In fact, the door bashed into the shower curtain rod, which was loose. In addition, the fan didn't work, and the timer it was attached to would stop ticking after a few minutes. The toiletries provided were nice, more like organic "hippy" soap and shampoo rather than the normal, harsh chemicals. The room included a microwave and minifridge. The TV had issues with some channels, as it seemed to be connected to a satellite. I actually gave up watching it because the shows I wanted to watch kept blanking out. The A/C worked great, but didn't have a lot of control. If it wasn't running, then it got very muggy in the room, though the temp never really got above 74. If I turned it down to make the humidity go away, then it got pretty darn cold. I ended up turning the temp down to 72 while I slept, but the humidity was still bad when I woke up. A shirt that I had left out to wear was damp in the waist, and a notepad on the table was actually damp to the touch as well. The lounge was fine. The menu isn't particularly large, offering the usual salads, burgers, and sandwiches (I recommend the french dip). On the night I was there (Wednesday), they had live music. Room service is available for an 18% surcharge, though you can also order and pickup food. Breakfast was great. They offered waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, eggs, bacon & sausage, yogurt, etc. It's all you can eat from 6am-10am, if that's your thing. Overall, no significant complaints, other than the humidity/temperature fight.
My room was very clean and the staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Room service was sporadic...some nights there was enough staff and some nights there wasn't. Since room service was one of the reasons I choose this hotel, it negatively impacted my stay and dropped the overall score from excellent. If you don't care, it's a GREAT stay for the price.
We didn't experience any problems during our stay. The staff was nice. Breakfast was the typical hotel fare but not impressive. The staff was very helpful. I felt like the price was very fare. We were given a space camp discount since we had a grandchild at the camp. Convenient to the airport with a shuttle. That was nice. Would stay here again
Be aware this place is a little difficult to find in the dark and GPS systems miss by several blocks. booked 2 rooms they were both adequate for a nights stay. bathrooms are very small and one had a pretty dirty stained grout floor. beds were pretty comfortable, pillows were not my cup of tea. Nice having a refrigerator in the room
Our room was accessible from a outside door. Our room had a weird smell and needed the carpets cleaned. The fan in the bathroom was really loud. The AC needed cleaned & there were cob webs in the corners & stuff left in back of furniture. You can tell they have not moved things to clean in a while. The pool water was clean put the tile was falling apart and falling into the pool. There were little pieces of tile & hard plaster in the bottom of the pool that hurt my sensitive feet when I stepped on them. The pool & hot tub needs some work. The breakfast was good. A little above your normal hotel breakfast but not much. Fake scrambled eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, bacon, waffle machine, gravy & biscuits, & fruit. Not the best quality food but good selection. A little TLC and this could be a nice medium priced Hotel.
Stayed 3 nights for business. Hotel is older, needs to be renovated. Bathrooms are very small and dated, however, the exhaust fan worked very well. Nice first screen TV and channel selection. Pool courtyard area is very nice up needs to be maintained better, tiles are missing from side of pool. Location of elevators is not convenient so be ready to carry your belongings up a flight of stairs. Breakfast was very good, served, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes every morning. On site bar/ restaurant was convenient.
We just needed a quick place to stay after a fun night out with friends. Booked online easily. The staff upgraded our room and were so friendly upon checking out. Overall would stay again. Room was clean & bed was comfy.
The room was very clean. They had a nice full continental breakfast which included eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, cereal, muffins, waffles, etc. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Pool area was nice and well kept. An overall nice place to stay.
Awful, Terrible, Dissatisfying. They messed up our reservation twice, places us in two different rooms that smelled like smoke. There were other people at the front desk with messed up reservations when we checked in and the staff was trying to move people around to different rooms. The staff acted like they had no idea what was going on. They finally got a room “ready” for us which meant they went in to tidy up in a hurry, but we decided to leave instead of staying in unclean rooms. We went to another hotel instead. Getting a refund was a hassle and a multiple day process. Do yourself a favor and drive on past this place.
The building itself had a few issues but the staff was awesome!! I would definitely stay here again. Restaurant/Bar had great food and the bartendress was the best. Front desk staff were some of the best people all around.
First trip to AL in almost 20 years and it was to do some business in the Huntsville area. Stayed here as it was at per diem rate. I will say that all the staff I encountered were very friendly and nice, except for the cleaning lady who kept banging on my door to come in. The night manager that checked me in was raving about how good the breakfast was (“southern style”). It was the same as every other hotel breakfast I've ever had. Lol. Room was a dud, but clean so I can't really complain about that. Breakfast area itself (and lobby) were spacious. Located along the main stretch of highway that runs through Madison. Short drive to a lot of fast food places.
We stayed here while my son was at space camp. The ladies at the front desk are awesome. We used the free shuttle to the local mall. There are many choices on the complimentary breakfast buffet. There are several restaurants near the hotel. It is conveniently located next to the interstate and the airport. We will stay here again if we are in the Huntsville area.
I had a wonderful stay at the best western plus in Madison, Alabama. Ashley and Patience were especially great hostesses. I will absolutely recommend to friends and colleges. The free breakfast and 24/7 coffee has been an awesome start to my day as well. All smiles
Good rooms with a spacious well stocked bar that has surpisingly good food. Excellent hot and cold options for breakfast . FREE, courtesy rides to and from, within 5 miles gets you to a few local breweries!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Very clean, staff was friendly, business center, fitness ctr., great complimentary breakfast and dinner. They even had fresh baked cookies at the front door. Can't beat that!!
The room was very clean and comfy! We will stay here again when passing through. We were coming back from Destin Florida and I have to say this room was more relaxing than the condo we had just left! No sand on bare floors lol
The stay was nice. The employees were nice. Room was clean. Gym was small . 2 treadmills . one was broke . only very bad.... Was the AC was super obnoxious vibration every 10 minutes loud noise with a bang that followed. Literally kept me up all night . could only cat nap all night
We were traveling to a funeral together, so I recommend this hotel to my sister-in-law because my husband and I had just stayed there!! We receive great customer service, clean room, and a delicious breakfast! The shuttle was a nice bonus!!!
I would give this hotel 5 Stars, if it wasn't for the loud creaky sounding doors. Both our room door and the bathroom door were VERY loud when you opened and closed them. Around 7:30 in the morning we were woke up by another guest opening their loud creaky door out in the hallway... I wasn't too happy since we arrived at the hotel after 3 am and was planning on sleeping in. All the doors in this hotel definitely need WD-40 spray on the hinges! Other than that, this is a great hotel to stay at. The beds were super comfy and I loved the feather pillows. Room was very clean and everything worked as it should. The staff that checked us in was also very nice! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I just hope they fix the creaking door issue.
This is a great hotel... staff is awesome! Internet service could be better... appreciate how attentive the staff members are to the simple stuff! Breakfast was awesome! T he selections are abundant...
Enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. Staff were all very friendly - especially at the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was exceptional with multiple options. We had a clean good sized room with 2 queens. The beds comfortable with double sheets sandwiching the blanket. It was very quiet even though on a busy road. Only negative was the lighting over the sink was a bit dark, but not a major issue. Would stay again.
Once again I was highly impressed by the positive attitude and professionalism of the staff form the front desk to the breakfast attendants to the maids. The Best Western Maddison exceeds all expectations and has caused me to prefer it over the much higher price Bridge Street area hotels.
We were doing a campus with our son and the hotel location was just perfect. We ate at the restaurant - it wasn't 4 star but reasonably priced standard bar/grille food and it tasted fine. The server was funny and welcoming. The hotel is a little dated, but very clean. The pool s sparkling clean. Breaksfast choices were excellent and cooked perfectly.
This Best Western has the name Plus added to the name, But is not at the Best Western Plus status, I travel a couple hundred days a year and some times stay at Best Western, but will only stay at the higher end Best Westerns like plus or Premiere and this specific hotel looked good on the web site and was also called a Plus, the rooms were old the bathroom was small and out dated and had bugs, I used my points to pay for these two King Suits I rented as my family and I were on a vacation, We stayed one night and left to a different hotel the next day, the room smelt like a dog room and was just like the old Best Westerns that most people try and avoid by going to the plus or premier locations, Rooms like this are why I don't stay at Best westerns as much as I could.
The Best Western Madison-Huntsville AL was an over the top experience. From check in to check out it was perfect. Check in was easy, no fuss, straight to our room which was exquisite. Extremely clean, beautiful view outside our window of the sparkling pool. Oh so inviting! The staff treated us like a welcomed family member. The hot breakfast was the largest variety of comfort foods, all fresh and easy to obtain. The friendly staff always asked if there was anything we needed and if everything was fine. Everything was much better than fine. We felt secure walking in the middle of the night to and from the car. Nicely lit and protected property. A lot of charm inside and out, by far the best place we have stayed. Thank you staff for a wonderful time.
There's not a negative word to say about this property. It is spotless & well maintained. Check-in was easy & efficient, & the staff was professional & personable. Complimentary, hot coffee was awaiting travelers in the lobby. The room was perfectly appointed & immaculate, with good lighting, plenty of towels & hot water, and a very comfortable mattress. The delicious, hot breakfast was included & the staff was welcoming. All this, plus a price that made this hotel an excellent value. We definitely will stay here again whenever we're in the area.
My business companion was late making reservations for our trip and the only hotel we could find (besides super economy motels) was this Best Western. A large convention had booked all of the Marriott and Hilton properties we usually frequent. The staff was polite and professional at check-in but as I walked the corridors of this “non-smoking” hotel the aroma of cigarettes was nearly overwhelming. We checked in early so it may have been the housekeeping staff smoking in the hallways that we smelled. When I arrived at my room it was “well worn” to say the least, and had an aroma of something between Old Spice and old socks - it was a musty, wet smell that persisted throughout my visit. The bed was average and seemed clean. The shower was horrible. I could not get it to fully engage resulting in much of the water running uselessly through the faucet, and it began backing up immediately and would not drain despite repeated attempts to open and close the drain valve. By the time I ended my shower (4-5 minutes) standing gray water was over my ankles. In fairness to hotel staff I did not complain or ask for another room - I was too busy moving to and from business appointments and it was only a one night stay. On the other hand - I shouldn't have had to. The room should have been maintained to a higher standard. If you're considering this hotel, do yourself a favor and keep driving.
Originally I hesiststed with the place due to the pictures. But, I am glad I didn't pass this place up. At a rate of $76 a night it was well worth it. The free breakfast was great every morning. It consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, bacon & fried potatoes. Plus a great selection of juices and pastries as well. This was a solid win for me with training everyday I def made a point to make it here. Then, I found out that everywhere within a 5 mile radius was free to shuttle. I got picked up at the airport at midnight and they were there in a jiffy. Also everyday I took a stroll around Bridge Street Town Centre. They have a ton of food and all your shopping basics. Overall the hotel was a great value. I saved a ton from the shuttle and the breakfast won me over. The bar is sub par but, the staff made up for it. Very reasonable prices and the portions are great! Not your typical price gouging for hotel food here. Will be back! Only complaints are the super old lights. Makes everything seem very gloomy. But, if you need somewhere to crash and shower this is the place. $6.99 for wings and fries was a bargain! Food at the bar is cheap and Amanda is AWESOME!
I really enjoyed my stay at Best Wedtern Plus in Madison. All of the staff are so sweet and accommodating! The hotel was very near and clean and the breakfast in the morning is great! One of my go to hotels!
The Price too high for the room. The hvac unit was very Loud. The bathroom was faucet broken. The Carpet dirty in room. Called and reported problems, but there were not fixed. I would not stay there again.
We have always used this Best Western and it seems to get better every stay. The hotel is always very clean, the staff are always very pleasant. In the summer months we love using the pool. it is always kept clean.
Southern hospitality at its finest right here!!! The staff was too notch and extremely courteous and helpful! This place just gave me the warm and fuzzies all the way around!!! Will return in a heartbeat!
Unpretentious , clean, quiet and orderly. Comfortable beds, great breakfast included with your stay. Clean gym, clean swimming pool. Convenient bar attached. Dinner menue could use some help. Bar/ Restaurant food is just " O-K " friendly bar/waiter staff. Things near to do nearby within walking distance. If you need a lift within a few miles, the Shuttle service is great. Clean safe vehicles, very accommodating
This is my hotel of choice when coming to Madison. They have a better than average breakfast and a restaurant and bar for the evenings. The rooms a large , nicely decorated and clean. The have both outside access and inside access rooms if you have a preference.
I arrived at this hoyel after having to check out of a hotel that was not vlean and safe. I exlained this on arrival to the staff and they were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I managed to check in and had a restful and peaceful time at the hotel. The only disappointment was breakfast which was limited on options this could be improved. The bathroom was a tid small but that can't be changed as the rooms were neat and tidy.
The Best Western Plus leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't deserve its ‘plus' status. There were 2 conferences on when we arrived and the conference people were obviously given the better treatment. We were told our room was just down the end of the lobby and turn right and we could park our car anywhere out the front. So we loaded up our cases and walked down through the lobby but could not find a right turn. Back to reception to be told we had to go out the back door and turn right. As it happened, we had to almost encircle the building to find room 151 and lo and behold, there was a car park right outside our front door (but we were advised to park out the front!). We are both senior citizens so to have to carry our bags all that distance unnecessarily was quite an issue. The temperatures during our stay were exceptionally low with ice forming on our car and we had to enter through the back door back into the lobby area to participate in breakfast. The first morning neither of our key cards could open that back door, so we stood in the freezing cold trying them over and over again. Finally a guest who was privileged enough to have an interior room opened the door for us. We reported this to reception and were issued with new key cards. The exact same thing happened the next morning, although this time there was no one around to open the door for us so we had to walk around to the front of the hotel to gain access. Upon advising reception of the issue, once again, we were told the door was broken! But no sign on the door stating this fact and no messages to the guests given the rooms in the far distance who rely on this door for entry into the hotel! The room itself was large but the walls paper thin and the noise from the neighbors on both sides kept us awake on the first night. Fortunately there were no occupied rooms on the second night. The airconditioner is noisy and sounds like a train rushing through the room. The shower rose splayed water all over the place although there was plenty of hot water. The lightings was poor. There is a light switch inside the door which operates nothing. You have to individually go to each lamp to turn them on. Security latch inside the front door is extremely loose. Service was abysmal. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend it. If you do, make sure you insist on an interior room. This was very poor treatment for a BW Rewards member.
Kayla at the front desk assessed my situation quickly when I came in for just a one night stay. I had accidentally booked an exterior room and she promptly asked if I wanted an interior room as she could see I was traveling alone. I appreciated this woman to woman. She was kind, considerate, and knowledgeable about her job. She told me which entry I could park by to get into and out of my room quickly. Thank you for making me feel as comfortable as possible! I had no compliants about the room and the breakfast was good.
Very centralized and easy to get around. Hotel staff were more than willing to bend over backwards for there guest and make it happen. Malls, museums, theatres, micro breweries and other amenities are very close by. Tons of restaurants close by some within walking distance. If you feel like you need to explore on your own, there is two rental car places within walking distance that is available as an option. Great staffing, clean updated rooms and nothing but the best. Thank you Best Western Plus staff!
Quick overnight trip for a meeting. This hotel was not on the list of "suggested" hotels but we had points to use toward the cost, and it was a better rate than the hotels suggested. We arrived late, but thoroughly appreciated the breakfast buffet the next morning. We will definitely stay here again.
Great staff and rooms at a great price . Close to the airport and the place I worked . Resistant has great food and drinks, pool hot tub and fitness area with good equipment free breakfast was good. the rooms are clean and ac and heat good.
We recently stayed here while visiting family in Madison. What a great hotel! The staff were friendly and available when we needed something. The breakfast was of enough variety that we had something different to eat each morning, and we loved the pool and spa! We were in both most evenings. Overall, a great bargain for a family trip.
--Poor accessibility for handicap with mobility issues --refridgerator did not effectively work and could not find a thermostat to adjust( for medication) -- ice machine was far from room. --NO double rooms available for handicap customers --elevator a long distance from lobby --Front entrance door in first room did not latch when leaving room. --Front desk staff never at the desk((always in back room) -- the hallway was noisy with rambunctious unattended children -- breakfast was the highlight, yet distance from room in the lobby area
The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. They have a nice exercise room and plentiful breakfast. The motel was close to my class, making it very convenient. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.
Convenient and clean. Breakfast included was good. Near to interstates. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Perfect location to stop over on way to destination. Have already booked another stay on return.
As soon as I walked in the front doors, I knew my family and I were going to have a great stay and we did! The rooms were clean, beds were very cozy, shower clean and had great pressure, towels were clean and fridge was cold and even had a light! Every staff member I talked to was polite and helpful. Breakfast was beyond delicious with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, hot prepared oatmeal with several offerings to add to that, waffles, fruit, yogurt as lots of smiles from the attendant! Behind the front desk, they have games you can borrow, so we borrowed one and relaxed in the lobby and had fun playing it. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!
This is where you want to stay.I travel for work regularly .No Question of where to stay when in Huntsville.Always Hot coffee. The staff is charming and ready to help. The amenities as in hot tub and pool are beautiful.
Earlier this year, I stayed at this same hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This time however, was a far less enjoyable experience. Upon check-in, I was not recognized as a Rewards member at all. The only thing the clerk did was enter my BW #. They even gave me one of the worst rooms even though hotel had relatively low occupancy. I was given an outside entry smoking room that smelled like an old ash tray even though I don't smoke and did not request a smoking room. If you choose to stay, do not let them put you in the older in-renovated section of the hotel. The entire area is filled with second hand smoke and the rooms are awful.
For the money i was very happy with the quality of the room. The staff was wonderful with a welcoming attitude. The rooms are on the older side, but clean considering age. I slept well. I will stay there again because of the staff.
Even though the rooms were clean, there was the start of pink mold between the tub and wall. The major problems with both rooms 135 and 137 was the smell of mold. The rooms smelled very musty, I don't know the source.
The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, the only issue we had was that, to us, the layout of the hotel was confusing. There were fire doors we couldn't get through and ended up going back to the front desk in order to find our room. We were exhausted, therefore we were frustrated. When checking in, just make sure you get clear, concise directions to your room.
I stayed in this hotel for 28 days for business. I found the hotel to be cheap, I found the bar staff to have a bad attitude and the concierge service likes to preach Jesus to everybody if you think that you don't believe. The standard and Internet services there are sub par the food is sub par and the overall hotel experience was negative I would not recommend staying near if you're in Huntsville for work with the Army or anybody else. I would suggest that you stay in a much nicer hotel a little bit closer to downtown .
My husband & I stayed a week while waiting to close on our house as we were moving out of state every one was so pleasant & seemed very happy in there work place Thanks to Chris who sent me some clothing which I had left in our room I really appreciate it for going the extra mile I would highly recommend this hotel in Madison AL
Everything about BW Plus was excellent. It provided a fair value for the room and amenities provided. The breakfast was great. Location was near Huntsville. I need to travel next month to Huntsville, guess where I am staying. BW Plus. No need to go anywhere else. I almost forgot they have a nice pool too.
Extremely caring people and service. I had to leave Florida due to the oncoming Hurricane because I require oxygen 24/7 due to Pulmonary Fibrosis and can not sleep without continuous oxygen flow which required me to take a large machine with me on my trip. Hotel employees had no problem helping me and were more than happy to do so.
Was in Madison over night and selected this property because it was nearby my appointment the net day. Impressed by professionalism of the entire staff [desk, bellmen, housekeeping, and others]. Although the bathroom was SMALL the other accommodations wereit was fine. excellent. My only complaint with breakfast was the gravy was watery/runny other than that
Everything far exceeded my expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was always very friendly and acomidating,There was always cookies and juice in the lobby!!I just can't say enough good things !!oh I forgot to mention the pool table in the hotel bar/restaurant.I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here and look forward to staying in the future!!
We had to be in Huntsville for a few days on very short notice. The entire experience at the Best Western Plus in Huntsville-Madison was great; from the moment checked in until our checkout 3 days later. The front desk lady (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) on 9/7 was so pleasant and had such a wonderful smile that she made us feel welcomed. She made sure we had all the information we needed and made the start of a very stressful few days just a little better....and I really appreciated it! You won't be disappointed here
I was completely overwhelmed by this Best Western property. The lobby is spacious, well appointed, and has the feel of an exclusive hotel. Check in was seamless with excellent staff and service. My room accommodation was upgraded to even better than requested (which was unexpected and very much appreciated). I cannot say enough positive comments about the breakfast buffet. Truly the best I've experienced at a Best Western! Amazing selection and attractively presented. Large dining room was like being in a restaurant. Next travel, it would be worth going out of the way just to have the opportunity to stay again.
We stayed here wile our daughter was at space camp so for a week. The people were nice but the rooms are old and stale. Our room was musty smelling although they tried to fix it the smell would be back in a few days. The biggest problem was that the AC leaked on the carpet therefore never has a chance to dry out therefore the smell. The bathroom was old and dingy and with little effort I could sit on the toilet put my feet in the tub and wash my hands at the same time that is how small it was. The breakfast was good the pool is ok needed to be attended too more often.
Based on what other hotels charge, this hotel is a great deal. The room was great, the pool area was very clean, the staff was extremely helpful, the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this best western on a recent trip to madison. It was very nice. It was clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. Check in/out was quick and painless. It was a bargain. Breakfast was above average. The grounds and pool were very well maintained. We didn't hear a thing at night. We come to the Madison area occasionally and will definitely stay here again.
This was my second stay. I had ants in my room last year. This year I had roaches in my room. It is not a very clean facility. The breakfast is good but again the tables are dirty most of the time. I would not recommend this to family or friends.
This is a well maintained hotel that still offers smoking rooms in the Huntsville area. Breakfast is complimentary and the staff is superb! :Lounge/Restaurant is very good alternative if you do not choose to venture out.
We were traveling with my parents who have stayed here on multiple occasions. The staff are great and friendly. The pool and hot tub were clean and the breakfast was great. We did find a sock on the top of the curtains and some left over trash behind the bed but other than that the room appeared clean.
Good experience. Clean, well decorated room with comfortable bed. Hotel room was quiet. Air conditioning and Internet worked well. Beautiful swimming pool for hot summer day swim. Included hot breakfasts were tasty with lots of variety. Breakfast area had lots of room for tables, not cramped like most hotel breakfast areas. Friendly hotel staff.
A great facility, conveniently located near to major Huntsville attractions. Great restaurant open in the evenings for dinner or drinks. Breakfast is ample and varied. Staff are excellent, very service oriented and friendly. Value in terms of price was excellent!
I stayed at this hotel about 2 years prior and back then thought that it was a great hotel (I also hadn't traveled for work as extensively). The people in the front desk were very friendly. I checked in quickly with no problems and actually from the door of the hotel to the front desk was greeted by another employee that was exiting the building. The room that I was originally assigned was not a part of the main building. The door to the original room led directly outside giving it a motel/regular Best Western feel. So I quickly requested a room in the main building. With the new room, it was fine more or less, however when I turned of the AC unit at night (because I was too cold) there was this constant tapping noise from the unit which lasted all through the night. The another issue was that the bathroom didn't' feel clean. Specifically, between the tiles on the bathroom floor, and as such I didn't walk around with bare feet. This isn't criticizing house cleaning's daily cleaning which was fine. Perhaps the space between the tiles can under a deep cleaning quarterly, to whiten it back up, as it was brown. Lastly, the new room that I was assigned to was a handicap room (which I have not problem with...actually, to me they tend to be larger, which is a plus when travelling) however, the shower head didn't pivot down, so I had to hold it while taking a shower which was rather annoying. The breakfast at this hotel I enjoy...the eggs taste like normal eggs. I also like that they separate the vegetarian items from the meat items. I appreciated the gym that was open 24 hours and made use of it. They also have a hotel shuttle that travels within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. And again I emphasize that the staff was excellent.
The government travel system has provided disappointing hotels on my last few trips, with the exception of this one. The BW has been updated and provided a great TDY experience. The first thing I do now is check the bed when I get into a room. If you're a frequent traveler you know what you sleep in/on is important. This BW had the best, cleanest, most comfortable bedding I've ever experienced. I sleep extremely well the 3 days of my visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the front counter, to the kitchen staff. They demonstrated true southern kindness and hospitality. A bit more internet speed would be nice, but that's a first world problem hardly worth mentioning. Great water pressure for the shower (which don't see so much anymore) and old school heat lamp (personal favorite) I felt safe and comfortable for my entire visit. Great team at this location. Great value!
I held a business meeting here this spring and had rented several motel rooms as well as a meeting room. Great place... everyone on staff was excellent. The facility was clean and well maintained. The food on the breakfast bar was great. It's a nice place and where I always stay when I'm in this area.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel because we were traveling with our dog and needed to stay at a moderate priced pet friendly hotel. The hotel was pretty good but the bathroom was small and could be updated. (Didn't like the curtain on the closet.)
Clean and comfortable rooms. After a tiring day we opted to eat at the on-site restaurant and it was surprisingly good! Staff was friendly and the food was excellent. A very good option for weary travelers. The breakfast buffet in the other food area was also good and replenished and kept well stocked and clean.
We stayed at this hotel twice for a length of time. Staff is fantastic and goes the extra mile. Nice curb appeal; clean rooms; great mattresses; central location. Only 3 minutes from Huntsville airport.
I was told Best Western's motels had been upgraded. My yes they are. The rooms were fresh with new towels, decor, sheets and in general the over all style. The exit was a little squirrelly near the air port but other than that no complaints.
I had family come in and I live in a small apartment. I had 5 rooms reserved and they were all excellent and ready when my family checked in. Great place to stay in Madison Alabama. If you are looking for a reasonable price this is your place.
My family and I had a weekend getaway and this was the perfect place for a great price! Very clean, great atmosphere, very helpful staff, awesome restaurant. My boys enjoyed the pool and the games. Perfect for us.
The hotel is very convenient to Redstone and provides meals and amenities equal to much more expensive chains. This hotel is a great value at a great location with superior staff. A great choice and highly recommended.
Our experience with Best Western Plus Madison was awesome! I cannot say enough about the service we received. The front desk was helpful and efficient. The shuttle drivers were pleasant and right on time. The room was clean and neatly prepared. Thanks you so much!
I love the comfort made me feel like I was home. I also loved the service and the staff was great for the large group we had. The breakfast was amazing. The experience was just so welcoming and we thank everyone who had a part in making sure our stay was wonderful
I totally enjoyed the stay , one of the nicest Best Westerns I've stayed @ would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area, next time I'm in Huntsville I will be staying here . A+++ expierenc
This Best Western had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable room, internet to check up on things and a good breakfast to get the next day started. If we had gotten here earlier, we would have checked out the nice pool.
We were bringing our grandson to Space Camp and needed a place to stay for the night before traveling back home. This Best Western was on the Camp list of hotels for parents to stay while their child was at camp. This hotel was a gem, from the front lobby to the rooms and staff. The lobby was huge, clean and well lit; the staff was outstanding and went out their way to insure a pleasant stay. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Due to the way the rooms and doors were placed, we felt very safe. The hotel was located just off I565 and about 5 miles from the USS&RC, making it very convenient to get to and from there. There was even a shuttle that would take you on demand within a 5 mile radius including the USS&RC. The breakfast dining area was large and resembled a restaurant rather than a café. The restaurant even served supper at a reasonable price. The comp hot breakfast was one of the best we have eaten. The food selection was great, hot and fresh. Our room was a king with a Jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, and microwave. This hotel had everything we needed to make our night stay very pleasant. This is definitely a hotel for parents to check out if bringing a child to Space Camp and needing a place to stay for a night or the week. Would definitely stay here again
My husband and I took our 7 year old grandson to Huntsville to visit the Space and Rocket Center and spent the night at the Best Western. It was convenient and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay there. Our grandson and I spent quite a bit of time in the pool, which was a good size and had both deep and shallow water. We also checked out the fitness center and spent some time using the equipment there. My husband didn't feel like going out for dinner, and the restaurant worker was very accommodating with our wanting to have take-out. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone visiting Huntsville.
This BW had a very large lobby which was lovely I liked having the lounge available . I did not use it to get a drink but did order pizza late that night. The pizza was hand made, very hot and really tasty. Was a great treat. The hotel offered handmade cookies in the lobby which were a really nice treat.
The corridors were very warm. I think they could use a new air conditioner system. The breakfast was good. There were lots of family type trips going on as many kids were at the outdoor pool. I wish the children would have been better supervised but that was not the fault of the hotel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was an average hotel as there is nothing really great or nothing really bad to say. My husband is a Diamond Member but that didn't really matter.
Great staff - they even will drive you anywhere you want to go within 5 miles and they'll come get you, too. We checked out the local breweries (there are 3 near by) using this service. Breakfast was hot and plentiful - healthy items, too. Rooms were clean and pool was clean as well. Centrally located to the Arsenal and other areas. Used their fitness center and business center and it was a nice perk. Beds were very comfortable.
Lovely hotel, award-winning grounds. We were warmly welcomed with our two Shitzhus and spent a most comfortable night. With a full breakfast included, thus hotel us a good value. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because the keycard system on the outer doors was a bit temperamental. But the staff definitely deserves five stars. And thanks for accommodating our last minute reservation changes.
Weird property layout and small bathrooms, but clean rooms and thick towels, with good room amenities (larger than avg fridge and microwave). VERY friendly and helpful staff. Nice selection for breakfast and good coffee, all day.
Checked in yesterday for a 3 day stay in Huntsville. By the way we are very impressed with Huntsville. Anyway after being out all day, we returned around 7:00pm and found our room had not been cleaned or refreshed in any way. As we left around 9:30am, it's not like housekeeping didn't have time and no we did not leave a do not disturbed on the door. Went to the desk to complain and after checking we were told housekeeping was in the room cleaning. We returned to the room, but no housekeeping. We waited another half hour but still no housekeeping. After packing up and we're leaving the room housekeeping showed up. TO LATE. This is now the 3rd and very last time this has happened at a Best Western. We will never stay at a Best Western again. By the way the room was musty, bathroom exhaust fan did not work and the room felt damp.
This was a quick overnight adventure with 3 of my grandchildren; ages 13, 12 and 9. We live in Los Angeles, California and traveled to Atlanta, GA to celebrate the 2nd Birthday of my Georgia Granddaughter. The L.A. grandkids love Space so decided to take a side trip to Huntsville to visit the Space and Rocket Center. I think offering pool towels would have made our stay perfect. Clean, comfortable, and accommodating with early check-in. Short drive to the Space and Rocket Center was a plus. I was able to use my reward points for a free night stay at the the Madison-Huntsville Best Western. Being able to use my reward points actually made this side trip possible, so Thank you Best Western.
Enjoyed our short stay. A short drive to the Space museum , downtown, and anywhere you need to get to. People were nice and mostly very helpful. Go to the botanical gardens if you can before end of August. Dinosaur exhibit a must if it is still around. Not extensive but fun.
Hotel was kept up very nice. The rooms were very comfortable..Nice bed. Breakfast could of been better. While there was a big selection..the quality of the food could of been better. Also, I would like to see breakfast start at 6am on weekends. I had to work at 7:15 and didn't have time to eat..plus no "to go" packages like most Best Westerns.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a long time. The staff was very helpful and friendly, from the check-in staff to the bartender to the cleaning staff. The food in the lounge was awesome and we did not wait that long for it either. It was a nice and quiet place to go and relax without the hastle of driving somewhere and having to come all the way back your hotel .
We really enjoyed having our family reunion at this property. The amenities were perfect and the staff went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend for business or pleasure!
The staff were very helpful. Check in was top notch. They gave great advice on local attractions. The hi-speed internet was great and easy to access. The pool is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast area is roomy and plenty of options and well stocked. The only issues we had were trying to get the A/C to cool the room (it felt kind of humid and wet, but it was humid outside), and the sheets didn't seem to fit the bed well; they kept popping off the corners.
While the hotel itself is a bit dated, it has been kept well. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool is very nice and the best part is the welcoming professional staff. They are top notch.
Apparently there are two very different parts to this hotel. I was put in the back with a room with outside entrance. Room had been somewhat updated but it still looked like an old motel. Room was very small and I could hear noise outside. Bathroom was small and sink area was open to room. I might stay here again but only if I call and get a room in the newer part.
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Can't even say enough good things about our stay. The evening desk clerk was the absolute BEST!!!! If ever traveling through there again, we will definitely stay there again.
great hotel with nice rooms. breakfast was wonderful with hot food. Staff was helpful and polite. Easy check in and check out. price was very reasonable. many stores and restaurants right by the hotel. pool was clean and very nice. I will return.
Nice facility outside but slightly dated inside. Clean, and friendly staff too. We arrived later then expected and wasn't an issue at all. Checking in was quicker then most hotel and checking out was done with a click on the iPhone. Thanks
Location and price were great! Staff on check in and at breakfast were A+. Read some reviews that talked about the hotel needing to be updated. Room was adequate. Bathroom a little small for 2 adults. The towels and bedding were crisp and clean as was the room. Compared to similar places I've stayed in Huntsville, I would say it was compatible to the others at this price point. Only small issues: housekeeping seemed to either always forget to give me more shampoo, and on one occasion, I had 2 bottles of conditioner, and no shampoo. Hmm? Pool looked nice, though didn't try it. Breakfast was always well stocked, hot and had options for us vegans. Note to hotel: The fruit cups were a very nice addition!! :-)
Quiet, good bed, clean room, real, not reconstituted food for breakfast. They actually had staff keeping the breakfast buffet stocked. The only issues were a mostly non functioning TV remote control (batteries?) and figuring out how to divert the tub water to the shower. Satisfied with what I received for what I paid. Would recommend this hotel.
I have stayed multiple times and have been pleased on all occasions. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is nice. The best part is that the value is much better than most placed I stay. Top of my list in Huntsville/Redstone/Madison
The title says it all! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was unsurpassed! Great selection - real eggs, bacon, sausage links and patties, fresh baked biscuits and gravy, oatmeal (not instant), etc. The breakfast room was spacious and they were constantly attending to the food. You could tell that the staff really took pride in the hotel. Excellent value for the price paid. Great stay!
The hotel was what we expected from a Best Western Plus. This has become one of our main chains of choice. This hotel has a great lobby, nice room. well manicured grounds and a good breakfast. The room was very quiet and we were able to get a good nights sleep each day. The price was good when you consider the hotel had a free full breakfast buffet offering every day. The internet was not the fastest but acceptable with no problems. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody who is looking for a moderately priced place to stay.
We stay here every year and are never disappointed. Great stay awesome breakfast great location to everything to do. Room was clean and neat shower was great can't wait to make the trip next year and stay here again.
Great best to stay. Staff are the best. Location to highways, airport and downtown Huntsville is no better. Great complementary Breakfast. Pub menu at night is very satisfying. Staff are the best from the front desk to Yvonne at the bar and Diane in Sales.
This is my second visit to this BW Plus. While it is not the most stylish motel it is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The pricing is very reasonable and with its proximity to I 565 it is not far from Huntsville at all. The shower curtain isn't the best for keeping shower spray in the shower but other than that I have no complaints. Their breakfast is comparable to other complimentary breakfasts in most regards with a HUGE exception (to me at least) in that they always offer REAL bacon -- none of that turkey stuff or precooked. We will return when next in the Huntsville area.
this was the cleanest hotel inside and out I've stayed at in a while. The staff was exceptional and the amenities were great. You could tell the staff takes pride in the every detail of cleanness there is.
This hotel is great! Everything is nice and new! Room was VERY clean, lots of hot water for shower, heat/AC worked perfect. Lobby was very nice. Front desk clerk was nice. Breakfast was above average. The pool was crystal clear. Nice patio furniture. Clean hot tub. Bed was nice and comfy. Room was very quiet. Good location. Thank you Best Western Plus Madison for a great stay!
Spent one night in the Madison Best Western. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Could have used an extra blanket and an alarm clock that worked. One problem I have noticed in some motels are the curtains blow up from the bottom of the window when the fan is on at the air conditioner. This causes loss of temperature control in the room. Also, extra light in the room at night. So it was in this room. Other than these small things, the room was quiet and I got a good night's rest. Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, and more, all were present. Decent meal. Decent stay.
Was the best stay I had, but wasn't the worse either. It appeared it had gone through a change of management or personnel and the staff that I usually see was not present. The location is great and easily accessible to I65 and 565. Not a lot of noticeable traffic and has some great amenities. The dining room has been renovated and there are some other changes taking place.
Hotel was clean, and the bed comfortable! The breakfast selection and variety was beyond my expectations- something for everyone. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
This Best Western is fairly new. Our room had two queen beds and was VERY spacious. The equipment in the room was fairly new and the beds were comfortable. We are frequent Best Western guests and I would have to say this one had the best breakfast layout of any. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and courteous.
Not quite as nice as the pictures online but could've been way worse. It's an older building but they've tried to make it nice. The lady at check in was super nice. Our first room was an exterior, smoking room and we had 2 kids with us so I asked to be switched to nonsmoking interior room. It was no problem at all and she was happy to accommodate. The walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations in next room over as well as people in rooms above. Crack under door was big enough to light up the room at night. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and always had a smile. The bathroom was tiny and outdated fixtures. Exhaust fan broken. The staff made up for where hotel was lacking. Had it not of been for the staff, I would've given this hotel 1 star.
Close to golf courses and Restaurants. Many to choose from depending on what type of meal you're looking for. There are several golf courses with in 30 minutes and easy to get to using the interstate.
We got in late and although I booked a non-smoking room I was told that smoking is all they had. Who still has smoking rooms in 2017? Anyway with a family of allergy and asthma sufferers this sucked big time. After about an hour I could not take it anymore because the room stank so bad. The staff at desk was very nice and tried to find something else for us but was not able. She allowed me to cancel reservation and I booked a Marriott property instead. All in all this is an older property more akin to a motor lodge than a hotel. It has been updated but you get what you pay for. I thought I was getting a higher rated property than what I actually got.
Hotel Management and Customer Service included Tiffany Caudill [phone # 256-772-7170] extremely rough with hotel guests and guest accommodation requests. In hotel regularly been played loud music by third parties (church gathering) and Hotel management completely ignoring guests complains about such noise. If you as hotel guest try to complain about loud noise or music, Tiffany Caudill and will remove you from hotel by calling to local police. Once again highly recommended to stay away from this hotel by any cost. Rough on guests, unaccommodating, ignorant and obnoxious
This hotel is huge. Lots of rooms bar restaurant work out room pool ect. The staff here has always treated me and my co-workers well. The front staff is very professional. At times depending on airport traffic ( people arriving ) you may have to wait a few minutes to get che KED in but once you check in and get to your room they are comfortable clean and mostly quite.some rooms seem a little dated over other's but let's face it all.hotels are that away.
This hotel has the best hospitality of them all, especially the breakfast. Super layout. always hot. Excellent location. Front desk and shuttle drivers are awesome. always willing to please. will drive you anywhere at anytime and always have a smile.
This a reasonably priced hotel close to Huntsville and the Space and rocket museum. Great breakfast, clean room, lousy wi-fi. The bathroom was small, but the room was nice. It is a large hotel, with a confusing layout. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
This was the best hotel in our recent travel. The staff was great and the lobby and area were clean and large. The breakfast was by far better than any other I have stayed in. I recommend this hotel for anyone traveling in the area.
A very nice hotel with a spacious welcoming lobby. The room was clean and roomy and the staff was very nice and helpful. The rate was reasonable for such a nice hotel. I would recommend asking for a room on the second floor though, the voices from the lobby carried down the hallway of the first floor.
This place is a good bargain when you get it through Hotwire. My room was clean, the bed was good for sleeping. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with hot and cold food milk , coffee, juice, fruit. You won't go hungry. The hotel bar and restaurant was open from 5-10. I got the chicken salad and a beer for $12.00. The BBQ ranch dressing was amazing! This will be my destination hotel in Huntsville!
This was the third time I've stayed at this hotel and each time was a pleasure. The hotel staff is friendly, helpful and very business like. The rooms and all the amenities were always clean and functional. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I've had at any hotel/motel. The hotel is convenient to the airport and is easily accessible from a major highway. I would be glad to recommend this hotel to friends and family.
This was our second stay at the Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville. The hotel has everything we've been accustomed to expect from Best Western – a clean, comfortable room, a good, hot breakfast selection and courteous service. It is definitely one of the best BW Plus hotels we've stayed in. It has a large outdoor pool, and a restaurant and bar (that is open in the evenings) separate from the large breakfast area. We would stay here again if we're back in the area.
We had planned to spend 2 nights at this hotel, but opted for 1 as the bed we had was not comfortable. Also could not get the room cool enough for sleeping. Breakfast was pretty good - eggs, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal - a nice variety of other things. Coffee was very good. Overall a nice, clean hotel. Not sure if it was just our mattress that was the problem, so not sure if we'd stay here again.
I've stayed at a few Best Western Plus hotels the past year or so. However, out of all the ones I've stayed at (in various states) ...this one tops them off! They are very nice, willing to work with you to make your room rate better, professional & courteous, willing to accommodate where they can, very clean & comfortable! In a good location (close to airport, Walmart, various fast food & regular restaurants, as well as gas stations). KUDOS TO A GREAT STAFF!
The people are very pleasant, the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. More security than other local hotels. Breakfast has a big variety of offerings and the hot foods are refreshed often and are plentiful.
This is an older hotel. Our room had a musty smell when we first got there but after turning the air on it quickly went away. The bed was very comfortable and all appeared to be be clean. The bathroom was clean and I was impressed with the included breakfast. They offered waffles, bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, hash browns, biscuits, toast, gravy and more. There is more than enough to satisfy most if not all travelers. Also the WiFi worked fine for us. Entering and exiting the property is very easy with quick access to the interstate I-565.
We stayed as a stopover on a trip. The room was comfortable and clean. The nice thing is there is a bar/restaurant on the premises so we could have a few drinks and watch a football game as a group. There is a shuttle that offered to take our group anywhere!
According to most Best Westerns this was a poor example. I wanted my friends to see how nice it was to stay at Best Western and it just didn't meet the quality of most Best Westerns we've stayed at. Asked for a non-smoking room on ground floor and was given one that had a very strong smoke smell. So we had to go to 2nd floor. Just glad they had some vacancies.
We stayed one night at this hotel as part of a girls weekend getaway. Our room had 2 double beds, a microwave, TV, fridge and coffee maker. The room was a nice size and very clean. Our one complaint was that we couldn't figure out the TV. We finally were able to watch it, but we never did figure out how to get a guide on it to see what was on. This hotel serves a free breakfast and they seemed to have a lot to choose from. The pool and hot tub were still open and that area was clean as well. There are some stores across the road and a handful of restaurants to choose from as well. The area in general was quiet and felt very safe.
overall very good value for the money - breakfast buffet was simple yet very good - nothing fancy but delicious; beds were very comfortable; restaurant food was also basic but was delicious! location was ideal - definitely would stay there again and recommend it to others
Room smelled of cigarettes and ants lived in the sink. Better after switching rooms, but the second room had its issues, too. The staff was very accommodating. I'd stay again, but only if I had no better option.
Totally enjoyed by stay! I felt safe, comfortable and the room (hotel) was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Just want I look for in a hotel. They also provide an awesome breakfast. Can't wait for my next visit.
Let me start by saying I visit a lot of hotels. Between traveling with my husband for business, and the occasional vacation , I have definitely seen my share of good and bad hotels! This one is rated at one of the best experiences I've had. The staff is amazing, and the hotel is well maintained. It's full service from the moment you wake up to a hot breakfast to picking you up when you've stayed out on a Saturday night. The lady who cleans my floor greets me with fresh towels even if I don't want my room clean. I just can't say enough good things about it. Thank you to all the employees for making a hotel feel almost like home!
I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions through work. The hotel offers the basics that would be expected, with an above average free breakfast. Their fitness room smells terrible and is not being addressed with anything but a small ionizer in the room. It's so bad you could gag from the smell when you walk in! Another complaint is the wifi speeds. It's 2016 and I can't connect for a reliable fast network here. Not good.
The rooms here are pretty basic but this Best Western has a bar and a restaurant inside! Great seating in the lobby area and the breakfast room is sizeable as well. Hope we can visit again! They have an outdoor pool and a well equipped exercise room. Plenty of parking as well.
This hotel was GREAT. Clean comfortable room, great mattress and wonderful pillows. The free Breakfast was amazing. Everything you could possibility want to eat. Stocked and fresh with a very roomy breakfast area. The staff was very friendly. If I am ever in this area again I will defiantly stay here!
The staff of Best Western Plus in Madison, Alabama were very friendly and helpful to my family during a recent stay. Rooms were pleasant, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast good, it was actually cooked in their kitchen. Food in the restaurant/lounge was much better than I expected and their staff were attentive while yet giving our extended family much appreciated visiting opportunities. Every staff member I had contact with was friendly and helpful.
Very clean hotel with a great breakfast offered (including scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon). I was disappointed that the bathroom countertops were not higher & that the shower head was alittle too gentle for me. We did have some problems with loosing the wifi several times, some of our party had to go outside their room to even get it. We were on the pool side, they were not.
Stayed here when it was the holidayinn years ago decided to try it and was not disappointed In fact I think it was better due to the free hot breakfast and I'm not talking just waffles I mean sausage eggs hash browns Buiscits and waffles and the usual cereal fruit and pastries this was well worth the bit more than we usually pay when we visit Huntsville. We will be back
This is a standard three star hotel. The breakfast was better than expected and they did a great job keeping well stocked even toward the end of breakfast hours. It was clean and quiet. It was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave. I agree with other reviewers that the wi-fi is bad at the back of the hotel, while good in other parts. The room was quite humid and the only way to control humidity was to run the air conditioner cooler than we preferred. I also agree with other reviewers it could use some updating. Overall good value for the price.
The hotel is somewhat dated in appearance but overall a very good stay. Staff was friendly and there is a lounge/restaurant on site. Room could use some updating but overall was comfortable and clean.
I had buisness in Huntsville, but I couldn't pass up the value on the Best Western. Although little bit outside of downtown Huntsville, it was easy to get around, and was close enough to where I was working, and not too far from a really nice mall.
I stayed two nights while on a business trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and there are plenty of restaurants close by. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. My only issue was the WiFi is spotty if you are towards the back of the property.
West side of Huntsville and space center. Good location to airport and eats! Downtown about 10 miles. It is an older hotel but in great shape. On site restaurant. Furniture appears in great shape. Beds very comfortable. Will stay again!!
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus in Madison. The price that you pay for a one night stay is very comparable with other hotels in the area. It is an older hotel, but the staff along with the amenities that are provided more than enough make up for it.
I stay here anytime I am in the area because it has the best staff, the cleanest and most comfortable rooms, and the best breakfast I have experienced at any hotel. It is by far the best value in the area.
This is my 3rd time at this hotel in the last year. From the room, to the breakfast, the amenities, hotel staff etc. you can't ask for more. The hotel and staff are exceptional. Next time I come back to Alabama I will certainly stay here again!
This hotel was convenient to restaurants, convenience stores, and car rental. Made my reservation online and front desk staff was pleasant to work with. The room was clean, the TV and remote worked, the air unit had no issues. I would stay here again.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was very nice, the fitness center was acceptable for a hotel, the breakfast was good. This hotel was in a convenient location for my needs while I was visiting Madison/Huntsville. My only complaint was that it was very humid in the room. When I checked out I did let the front desk person know.
We checked in late at night during a road trip and felt warmly welcomed by the staff. The room and especially the beds were clean and comfortable. The fitness room was cool and spacious. It was a relief to have laundry facilities. Breakfast was a real treat, with lots of options and a large dining room.
The hotel was very well located. It was close to the airport, restaurants and stores. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the grounds were well kept. Every morning they had a complimentary hot breakfast with many different choices, which was very good..
After traveling several hours, we decided to stay at the hotel to eat dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and service. Sitting by the outdoor pool, in a pleasant courtyard we relaxed as our grandson swam in the good sized swimming pool.
Great price for an above average motel. Good breakfast buffet in an actual dining room. Bar/restaurant with a varied menu. Black and Bleu salad was delicious as was the pasta with chicken and andouille sausage. They offer room service, which is a plus. (My mom was in a wheelchair and stuck in the room while I supervised moving my household, so that was why I chose this particular hotel). There is even live entertainment some nights. They have more than one shuttle, so getting to and from nearby Huntsville International is easy. Definitely more bang for the buck than other chains nearby.
This was my 2nd stay here. I just LOVE this hotel, & made a point to stay here again on my way to Montgomery. The pool is my delight. It is big, beautiful, and private. I love that it is not situated in the parking lot with no discreet access. I requested the same room on the first floor that is just around the corner from the opening to the pool. So discreet, and dont have to trapse in the halls & elevator in my suit to get there! Its the best hotel pool I have ever been for an outside pool. I get approximately 22 strokes for the length of the pool. I checked out late to get that last swim! Kudos to the cleaning staff & front desk for accommodating my desires! Always so kind and flexible and I deeply appreciate it. Also enjoy the bigger fridge in the room that can hold quite a bit! This place is so comfy and warm. I know there are newer places, more sleeker, but I prefer my "Home away from Home" and wish I could take this hotel with me everywhere I go. Thank u Best Western Plus for a wonderful retreat after a 9 hr drive. As I am staying in a Hilton hotel while in Montgomery, i miss u already!
I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Madison Al while my grandson attended the Space Academy. Madison is located just west of Huntsville and is part of the Huntsville/Decatur community. The Best Western Plus is an older motel that has been refurbished. While the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable – with two queen beds and a cozy side chair and ottoman – it would be considered small by today's standards. But it was more than adequate for two of us. The bathroom, however, was tiny. The door openIng was only about 2 feet wide – surely not in compliance with accessibility standards. And, I could not close the door unless I stepped to one side of the toilet and sucking in my gut. But it was clean, bright and sanitary throughout our 6-day stay. The complimentary breakfast was very ordinary. First, the items did not change the entire time of our stay – the choices on Sunday were exactly the same on Friday. The food was OK although the scrambled eggs were over cooked, and the sausage gravy was void of sausage and tasteless. The Danish were also a odd consistency and seemed “doughy.” While the food was not that good, the service was excellent with two people continuously monitoring the area and keeping it clean. There were courteous and cheerful while not being overly chatty. When you stay someplace for a week you see and experience things that you would not notice during a one day stay. That is the case with our stay at the Best Western Plus. Some of the things I noticed: a) No one cleaned the entrance that we used daily – there frequently were leaves, paper, and other loose items that were not vacuumed for several days (the area was probably cleaned only twice during the week); b) carpet wear patterns were very evident in the main hallways – not sure if it was worn or dirty, c) the pool had missing tiles and d) the pool towels were in short supply and several times there were no towels available. The Best Western Plus is a clean, comfortable older motel that provided good, but not outstanding services. However, on any future trips to the Huntsville area, I would definitely consider staying there again.
Room location was to the right of the hotel on the side. Room was basic though comfortable. Bathroom small but workable since vanity sink is outside leading to the shower area. Old hotel so it had the old AC however it did blow cold air. Complimentary breakfast, was okay for me as I am a picky and healthy eater but for an honest review great addition for other travelers. I mainly had yogurt, or cereal plus my coffee and i was good though they had sausage, scrambled eggs etc so good selection. Liked the on site restaurant, friendly and accommodating staff here as well as the front desk when I needed a late check out since my husband was at a meeting and couldn't make it back in time in addition to the thunderstorm outside. Would actually stay here again. Surprised as mentioned as we typically wouldn't consider this type of hotel but we decided to try hot wire and we ended up trying it.
This was the first time I ever stayed at a Best Western. I was impressed the moment I pulled up. I had loads of business material as well as larger luggage for a 2 week stay. Eric was wonderful in helping me procure a cart and take my things to the room. I had a great room, #112. I wanted discreet access to the pool and a quiet room. I got it! The room was spacious, very nice decor, and convenient to the business center. The business center was the best I have ever been, though they had no essentials available. No staplers, no paper clips, no pens, nothing. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the men running the breakfast were delightful. D was stellar! He kept the place in impeccable condition, moving smoothly for all the patrons. Michael was always helpful, polite, and at your service. It was never the same when D was not there! The staff was very flexible regarding housekeeping, check-out, getting whatever you needed. I was very satisfied with my stay for 12 days and this would be the place I would come again without question. The pool was the highlight and I took a morning swim before I left for a 9 hour drive, because I enjoyed it that much!
When I travel, I prefer to be comfortable. Who doesn't... I utilize my room as a plethora of utilities, whether it be a office or an unwind station. Traveling for work should not be a labor in itself. And to be honest, when I saw that a travel site that I use frequently had a 3-4 star property available on my required dates I was happy. Then I got the news that it was a Best western and well, it upset me slightly. Most of the Best Westerns I have encountered are 2 stars at best. This was a nice property. The personalized service, and attention to detail is a priority. Not the best restaurant on property but they are trying to make it better. Comfort and cleanliness are paramount and it is evident that there is a good management in place. Although I would say this is not quite 4 stars, it is closer to 4 than 3 so I don't mind giving it props.
Good location within minutes to downtown and minutes to Rocket Center. Nice hotel with nice indoor courtyard with the outdoor pool. Very good hot breakfast with all kinds of food to choose from in a very large room. It is not a new hotel, but the rooms and lobby were clean.
Very pleased with this Best Western Plus. Close to the airport, convenient location. Has every convenience you'd want for a short stay - airport shuttle, cocktail lounge, breakfast, business center, in room wi fi, etc. Bathrooms have large vanity counters which women always appreciate - and my room had a tub, which I prefer. So many hotels now only offer showers, no tubs - and showers ruin your $ 50 hairstyle ( for women with glamourous hair. ) Other than having only one elevator - so possibly a longer walk to your room - this place is really convenient and comfortable. Highly recommend !
The Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville had everything we've been accustomed to expect from Best Western – a clean, comfortable room, a good, hot breakfast selection and courteous service. It is definitely better than other BW Plus hotels I've stayed in. It has a large outdoor pool, and a restaurant and bar separate from the large breakfast area. We would stay here again if we're back in the area.
We were in Huntsville to visit the US Space & Rocket Center. I chose this hotel because of the price point and location. It was only a few miles from the rocket center. The hotel was clean, well decorated and the room was comfortable. We were on the 1st floor and everything was nice and quiet. We had the breakfast both mornings and it was nicely done with the standard make your own waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, biscuits and gravy. They also had bacon which my son declared was the best he ever had:) The breakfast area was nice and big with plenty of tables. Located near lots of restaurants and shopping. Would stay here again.
Was traveling by myself and felt very comfortable here. Hotel staff has obviously been well trained and are genuinely friendly and helpful. Hotel has been nicely remodeled and has exceptional courtyard and nice gathering spaces. LOVED their breakfast bar--better than competitors I would say! The pool area was lovely.
I recently stayed at this hotel and have plenty to cover. I booked the hotel through priceline and my expectations were a truly 3 star experience. It fell short of that. The hotel lobby is extremely handsome and modern. The lady that assisted me was extremely sweet and empathetic. She was the best attribute of the hotel. The location is right next to the airport which is wonderful however the area itself is not great and quite frankly a little shady. The hotel is segmented into two parts. The northern part is probably nice and the rooms open into the lobby. However the bulk of the rooms in the other section open up to the street and are less nice. This is how they offer a type of separate but not equal experience. This was a bit deceitful by priceline. The room was pretty modern. The tv had only standard definition not something expected in a 3 star hotel. The jet tub looked great other than the jets don't work. I had a gap in my door so big that the sunlight entering could literally light up my room. It was full of nice but loud construction workers who you could hear hollering outside. While the hostess was sweet and the rooms modestly modern I would never stay again. It may be a 3 star in alabama but it's a 2 star at best in america.
The hotel was very clean and everyone was very nice that worked at the hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. They had a shuttle that took our group any where we wanted to go with in a certain area which was good when the weather was not good on Friday.
BIG KUDOS! This was definitely the best hotel out of the 4 I've stayed at in the past 12 months (3 were BestWestern's; this one in Madison, AL; 1 in Dodge City, KS & 1 in Russellville, AR. I've also stayed at the Baymont Inns & Suites in Madison, AL). Originally, I thought I'd stay at the Baymont Inns & Suites in Madison again, but the CURRENT reviews for it were really low. When I checked the CURRENT reviews for this BestWestern-Plus -they had really high reviews! Now I see why & am contributing my own! ;-) Overall, the staff was really great at this hotel –going above & beyond the norms. Everyone was so accommodating from the time I made my reservations online, as I called to confirm a specific room type, due to disability. Particularly, Kiera & Donna were very helpful with making sure I got the ADA room with the walk-in shower/fold-down seat. Also, that I had extra hangers in my room. Another gentlemen at front desk was extremely helpful, but forgot to write his name down. The shuttle-bus driver was extremely friendly & accommodating. Also, Anea (cleaning staff) –extremely accommodating & friendly (thanks for the cleanest room I've ever stayed in at a hotel). Lastly, the food staff was very accommodating, as I had a few dietary needs (food area was very clean, well kept & stocked). The internet worked fine for me, as I had zero problems with it. Same with TV, fridge, microwave & such ...all things worked normal! I also used the gym, which was really clean & has decent equipment, TV's & such. I don't do pools, so can't comment on that, but it looked clean from my window! ;-) I stayed there for a total of 6 days & would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel due to location, staff, cleanliness (very clean) & comfort (bed was xtra comfy). So thank you EACH for making my stay enjoyable!
This si a very good hotel and great staff. The only issue was the fitness center. I love to work-out when I am away from home - helps keep my mind relaxed. The fitness center at this hotel had a very strong locker room smell that made it difficult to visit some of the equipment was not very well maintained.
We had a wonderful 4 night stay. This hotel had pretty much everything at a much better price than most others. The breakfast was great and the room had a fridge and microwave. I wish we could have used the beautiful pool but the weather didn't permit during our stay. Overall this was a perfect choice for us for this vacation.
I had left an item during a stay a week earlier and when house keeping couldn't locate it. She went to the store and purchased a replacement. Completely unexpected. I am still in shock, I travel for a living and stay in hotels 200 plus days a year. I've never experienced anything like this. I can't brag enough about the Staff at the Best Western, Madison-Hunstville, AL
This is a BW Plus and yes it is a plus! When you walk in the lobby you know you're in for a treat. The rooms are very modern, comfy beds, and everything you need. All staff are very courteous without a doubt. There is a bar and restaurant on site - a definite plus. Don't overlook the free hot breakfast - everything you can imagine and more.
Check in staff were cold and were not very helpful. The check out staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and easily accessible from the exterior. The breakfast was good and the staff was attentive to maintaining the breakfast bar. The location was good for my needs.
We found the facility generally dirty, including food and drink spills in the hallways. The room had light bulbs missing from the lamps. On the morning of check out, we discovered the "complimentary breakfast" service was not available until after 7:00am, which was little comfort for our early departure.
I was not too happy with service at this hotel. I was not happy that the water in the shower was not hot. I am disappointed that I was charged on my credit card after I had paid in cash. I will be expecting a refund of $95.92 immediately.
This hotel is very clean and the staff is also very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was a great way to start our day. Nice selection of food. There were several food places across the street, which was very helpful since we were driving most of the day.
This is the second time that I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Madison and I was more pleased this time than last. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was outstanding. This time I had an interior room that was much better in my opinion. Check out and in was no problem and all of the surroundings were excellent. I will probably return when I make another trip to Madison, AL.
Nice hotel Rooms are well done to meet basic needs ( WiFI , microwave, refrigerator, etc very clean beds are comfortable ) Had a problem one time with outstanding authorizations on my card that were not reimbursed but I have been there since and all ok ( so far)
We visited this hotel during Thanksgiving Break along with my Grandparents and aunt. Good hotel with a breakfast buffet, and an onsite restaurant. Two things that are cons are the hotel is a maze to get through due to the layout, and the WIFI is poor and spotty possibly since we stayed on the south side. But anyway a good hotel near the airport.
I stayed here for a business trip and had rented a meeting as well as a hotel room. Everything was very nice and the staff was easy to work with and helpful. I'll use them again when I'm in the area. The breakfast bar was very nice as well.
This facility is what most traveler want when they are away from home. A perfect example of the "BEST " in Best Western.. If I could only take them with me when I travel I might just keep on going rather than returning home. Excellent facility with beautiful rooms and excellent beds. The " Free " breakfast was even better than expected and compares with many of the additional cost breakfast offered as some locations.
I've stayed here several times and will again. The hotel is clean and conveniently located. The breakfast is great with fresh fruit, the usual items of waffles and danish but best of all eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, bacon and sausage. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and it's easy access from the highway.
Just spent the weekend here. Was really surprised how nice and clean the property was. The breakfast was better than waffle house. They had everything from sausage bacon eggs waffles toast gravy and biscuits. Definitely would recommend the Best western plus. 5 stars.
This was our first visit to a BW Plus facility, and it was certainly the nicest BW we've ever stayed in. There was a computer mixup and we were given a room that was undergoing renovation. We called the front desk and a clerk immediately brought us another key to a nearby room. The lobby was large and attractive, and the hot breakfast quite extensive.
Hotel is located in secure and safe area, with security, and the beds are so comfortable. Great breakfast too. I highly recommend. If an issue would arise, the staff was quick to respond. The air & heat worked very good, and room service (maids) were always courteous.
This is a well appointed budget hotel! Husband and I came to Madison for a short business trip. We were extremely pleased with our room. The best feature was the shower. Nothing special at first glance, but the water pressure was amazing. We have stayed in 5 star hotels in NYC, Chicago, Denver, San Fran, Maui, etc and never enjoyed a shower more. Seriously, I took 4 in two days!!! Again, not a fancy shower, but the water pressure was AMAZING! Breakfast buffet was nice. The staff was excellent. If we are back in this area again, this is where we will stay!
Great clean hotel with clean nice rooms. It has a nice lobby that is really homey and modern with fresh warm cookies. Great location with lots of restaurants around and of course Walmart is just down the road. Right off exit 9. Staff was polite and very helpful. 2 thoughts First: feel secure. You unless you go in the lobby u have to use a key card to get in side entrances and business center. WiFi you have to use a login name and pws provided to you. Second: If ur elderly or handicap pls let them know and stay on the first floor or by the one elevator that happens to be on the complete other side of the long building than we were. Traveling with someone older who is having health/energy issues. Pls don't think negative about that from my comment. I never mentioned since I've never had a hotel with the layout and I am only stay one night.
Great hotel very convenient to the space center. Chose this hotel on a recommendation of the space center. Hotel was clean and breakfast had an awesome selection of both hot and cold foods. Would stay here again.
I stayed here for work. One of the nicer Best Westerns you will find. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. Has great rooms for conferences, weddings, etc. This place also provides a shuttle to and from the airport. There was a tornado warning and I was very impressed that the manager stopped by every room to hand us a pamphlet to tell us what to do in case of a tornado.
We requested a pet room. It was necessary to call in order to do so, so we were unable to use any Internet specials. We happened to be staying there the same weekend as college football team conducting talks with potential scholarship students...... with that being said, there was still plenty of food at the breakfast bar. All containers were kept at the appropriate temp and filled. The room itself was okay. And I mean just okay. Not dirty, even though it was a pet room (no evidence of previous pets). But nothing spectacular either. I did appreciate having a door directly to the outside so we didn't have to walk far for the dog's sake.
It was my anniversary this weekend and my husband and I chose this hotel because I also work at Best Western in another town. It was really nice the staff was very nice as well the guy that works in the bar was super nice and you could tell he works very hard. He was running the bar and doing room service I was very impressed I wish I could remember his name however im sure they know who it is.The front desk clerk was no where near as friendly as he was. All in all it was a wonderful trip I will be happy when next year comes so I can stay there again. I loved it
Clean double room, quite hotel, Resturant in hotel did not serve dinner until 5pm, limited fast food choices around, the Hotel is an older building, bathrooms are small yet functional. The building only has one elevator in back of the building.
Conveniently located off the highway in a town that allows for mid city pricing as opposed to Nashville or Birmingham. Ask for an interior room and enjoy a view of the courtyard and pool below. Typical breakfast but well organized. Rooms were comfortable. I thought pillow was too high for comfort and there is never sufficient electrical for plug-ins near the bed (I have begun traveling with my own power strip). Friendly, helpful staff. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
I spent one night at this hotel when I was visiting my sister over the holidays. And I was very impressed. I had been on the road all day and by the time I got to my room, I was ready for a shower. I couldn't help notice the cleanliness of the bathroom and the pressure of the shower. The room was spotless and by the time I got back from visiting the family I was out like a light because the comfort of the bed was superb. In fact, the only negative was that I slept SO good that I slept through breakfast and missed it. Oh well. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. An Atlanta Blogger AnAtlantaBlogger.com
There were three couples in our party, in three rooms. We were all happy with our stay. The rooms are nicely decorated. The rooms are very quiet. In our room, the sink was very low and I had to bend over to use the sink. (I am only 5'6"). I found this uncomfortable and odd. The shower water temp was very good. Some hotel's water temp is just tepid. The bed was too soft for my preference but it was just right for my husband so that's just a personal dislike. The front desk staff was very professional. The breakfast bar had a nice variety of foods. The coffee is excellent! This is a nice hotel conveniently located. It has easy in and out access.
I have stayed at many Motels, this is in the the top 99% We found no problems whatsoever at the Motel. This motel is Petfriendly. Restaurant good food at a reasonable cost. We will stay here again. The motel provides clean, quality rooms that are quiet. Wifi works very well, enabling WIFI streaming.
I don't think this could have been a better honeymoon for us. Everyone was very kind. You have got to use the van as BOTH drivers we had were absolutely the nicest we could have had for us. The first giving us information about the science center before we got there that was extremely useful and the second one and I talked scifi movies on the way back to the hotel.
We recently stayed in this Best Western hotel in Madison while on business in Huntsville. We requested first floor because I have a cast on my foot which the hotel honored. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast buffet was huge and complimentary. They serve dinner but we did not get a chance to try that. The hotel was convenient to where we were going in Huntsville. We will be staying there again in a few weeks
Nice Hotel, We like to stay there while shopping in Huntsville. They have a very good breakfast. A nice pool area also. I would recommend it for a quick trip. It is dog friendly as well. Great eating near the hotel.
This is how you get rewarded at a best western by saving your reward points for a free nights stay: You get a 107.00 charge on your bank statement. You can ask several times if everything is taken care of, and be told yes, when it's not. I don't trust best western anymore.
Great price and well equipped work out room. Good hot breakfast clean restaurant & friendly staff. Nicely situated stop between Florida & Michigan. Older hotel Could use some updating we would definitely stay again. Pet friendly rooms with exterior doors and reasonable pet fee.
This hotel is great for breakfast, BUT their service is AWFUL! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the best westerns worst front desk person. She acted as if I was bothering her just too check me in!! Once she did check me in, I received an occupied/dirty room?? Went back to the front desk to obtain a CLEAN ROOM and her attitude got worse! NO sorry or anything!! She also didn't inform us on anything about the hotel as far as breakfast time or location, gym area, etc. In the hotel industry customer service is everything! She was very unprofessional, rude and we will not stay there again. Gave a very dishonest taste for the hotel. Which is why its so hard to find good candidates, if you are looking for customer service along with a clean quiet nights sleep you have many options don't make this property one of them. it will be time wasted that you will not ever get back.. We choose to spend our money/points at best western. If this front desk person is the Best you can do its really sad! perhaps she's a relative or something, whatever the case is, She lost you money. Not your room, not your beds/breakfast etc.. She alone lost you our business.
Was very impressed with this hotel, as it is more upsacale then we expected a Best Western to be. This location is very well apportioned and maintained. Rooms very nicely done, comfortable and very clean. We felt like we were in a resort level hotel. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a great variety of foods (more food choices then typical of hotels), and well stocked. Staff pleasantly acknowledged us whenever we walked through the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel!
I just called your hotel and the person who I spoke to was very rude and refused to check to even see if you have any hotels available for Dec 4-6 after I explained to her that I am traveling alone with my daughter and could not stay in a hotel where there was only exterior doors. Seriously?? This is how you treat someone over the phone?? I will be filing a complaint with corporate. Best Western will lose me as a customer due to this.
We stayed two nights and will stay again. Our room away from the highway was excellent. The staff were always receptive, helpful and courteous. The breakfast was good, but disappointing to have to use plastic cutlery.
Clean comfortable rooms and surroundings, Professional and personable staff. Best complimentary breakfast of any of the places I have stayed, in a clean and comfortable restaurant setting. Modest shopping and many decent restaurants within walking distance. High-end malls and attractions within a 15 minute drive. Hotel restaurant is decent. Although the menu is a little limited it is high quality food. Room rates fluctuate between a good value and a true bargain depending local activities. Always look forward to staying there
the breakfast was surprisingly great. one of the best I have seen in a long time. Very good. Good coffee too, usually the coffee isn't as good as can be. Eggs were real and very well prepared. Bacon high quality and super selection of juices and cereal.
Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville Hotel,Madison,Alabama Is located close to the Huntsville international airport, making it an ideal place to stay. The hotel has a great staff, and provides a friendly atmospheric.
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels the past 30+ years. I consider myself an expert. Most people want a clean hotel, comfortable bed, helpful staff and then everything else is a bonus. If your room is not clean-- a comfortable bed will not make up for that. If your room is clean but the bed is not comfortable-- that is not good either. This hotel first off must have good management as every staff member I encountered was very nice and friendly-- sincerely too not just faking it. If the hotel staff is made to feel important and respected and treated fairly-- they will take care of the entire hotel and one will notice the difference. This hotel is in the top 1% of the best I have stayed at- clean rooms- comfortable beds- great staff- pool-restaurant and bar- plus more--
Stayed here on 2 separate occasions in November and my stay here was excellent. Room was well appointed. Just wished they had a freezer/fridge for my perishables but managed with the fridge. I forgot a book in my room when I checked out and called them about a half hour later. I believe the one who answered was Taeisha (sp?). She took my info and I am sooo pleased that she located my book and mailed it to me. That is just Awesome customer service. Also, the phone to the hotel was out of service when I called for the shuttle from the airport. The 800 number to Best Western contacted the Hampton Inn next door and they came and picked us up. That was another example of the excellent service. Would definitely return and shared with others about the positive time there.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Plus in Madison, AL on November 15, 2015. The hotel has a very good location close to major roads, the airport and space center. The check-in was very smooth. Jasmin is an outstanding front desk person. She has a very positive and has a very knowledgeable. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and it was very quite. The hotel served a complete and delicious complimentary breakfast and has a bar. A convenient and complete business center is available just off the lobby. The hotel has several meeting a conference rooms and has food service for receptions and conferences. We drove to the hotel which had complimentary parking but complimentary transportation is available for guests who require a ride in the area or for pick-up at the airport and return.
Best Westerns in general are mid-range, so my expectations were modest. This property is among the best BWs I know. The staff was welcoming and efficient, the room very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast better than most in this price range. Most definitely a Plus.
Great value for the price. Close to the Space Flight Center and business parks. Also close to shopping and dining. Breakfast was included and was on par with most in house breakfast fare. Property was clean and well maintained.
Breakfast was great with bacon! Staff helpful. Neg: Sink is in bathroom with the tub, so you have to wait your turn. Stairs: Our room was on 2nd floor, and elevator was at the other end of the building. Got lots of exercise though!
The Best Western is well appointed and comfortable. They offer a shuttle service up to five miles for shopping and dining. The breakfast is good with real eggs and fresh biscuits. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The only drawback is the attached bar/restaurant, the service was horrible and the food was even worse.
Convenient, clean and well furnished. Had a small problem with availability of a cot for a 2 queen room. Breakfast setup was very good. Food variety and quality was great for the grand kids and adults.
Somewhat older interior, but super friendly and helpful staff. Had a king room-very clean room and bathroom. bed comfortable and shower good. Outstanding choice for breakfast in nice room. Really liked the spacious and light foyer. Definitely to be recommended.
Spent the night there last night and was pleased with everything! They had a coffee pot for in room coffee this morning, as well as a good breakfast this morning. The motel is next door to a restaurant, so it was literally a walk across a short parking lot to find even more food. It is conveniently located on I-65 and an easy off-on for travelers. The room was clean, recently updated, and quiet. It also has a small microwave and a small refrigerator as well as an iron. Our room was a Queen bed in a non-smoking room, which was somewhat soft for my tastes, but comfortable.
We stayed here on the way to Orlando. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very nice. good work out, and some great places to eat in the area. Also a movie house next the hotel. We will stay again.
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and we had an outdoor entrance room. I would have preferred an inside room but we asked for a smoking room so it made sense that it was an outdoor entrance. Just keep in mind that if you have an outdoor entrance room you need your room key with you to go get ice!! That was a bit of a nuisance. But there is a pepsi machine and a very well stocked vending machine right next to the ice dispenser. The staff was very nice and courteous. One of the reasons we picked this hotel is because of the complimentary breakfast but every morning we would wake up to go get it but our bed was just too comfy to get out of! Very clean room very well decorated and furnished and the shower had great water pressure. The mini fridge had problems shutting all the way though so it was very easy to leave it slightly open without thinking about it. Microwave works great and so does the tv. Parking was very close to the room with lots of spaces. Very good hotel best one my husband and I have stayed at so far.
I've worked in the hotel industry for 10+ years. Please work on your employees customer service skills. I stayed for 5 nights because I was moving into a new place. I was just completely amazed at how much the hotel lacked hospitality/customer service. The #1 key to having a successful hotel is based on your guests/guest service. If you don't have great customer service then you have nothing. You're guests are the reason you have a job. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was actually one of the best continental breakfast I've had yet. Minus the employees coming in getting food each morning and having to wait in line. Employees should know that guests don't want to talk to you stuffing your face when they're trying to check out or ask a question. Your guest are #1.
The rooms were spacious, clean with good amenities. Loved the outside access option. Good hot breakfast with lots of choices and real bacon. Lovely restaurant with good food & excellent staff. Overall caring & competent service. Will come again.
We stay in hotels at least 5 nights week for work and it's very rarely the same one 2 nights in a row, so we see a LOT! This Best Western Plus, Marion-Huntsville, AL is one of the best hotels under $100 (before tax), if not THE best! Very tastefully decorated inside and out....check in-a snap...hotel personnel-very nice and helpful....rooms (at least ours)-large and very clean, mattress, pillows and bedding-wonderfully comfortable...bath towels-large and fluffy...WiFi-works wonderfully with no lagging that I found....nice selections of TV channels...very hot water and large shower head with plenty of pressure! Many restaurants close by. Breakfast-AMAZING!!! Real eggs, great bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy, home fries, higher end pastries than you normally find...real oatmeal, 3 juices, cereal, white and chocolate milk, yogurt and fresh fruit...apples, bananas, grapes, honey dew and cantaloupe melons. Someone is always checking the bar and keeping it full and cleaning tables. They also offer an indoor pool, hot tub and workout room. I can't find anything wrong at all! Satisfaction is guaranteed!!
Was not able to book this directly on TripAdvisor because I had to many questions that needed to be answered...but the wonderful woman in spoke to at the 800 number answered ally questions and then when she was unsure she called the hotel directly for me...hubby had a semi truck issue and need a hotel close to the Kenworth Dealer in Madison..your hotel fit the bill right next store..you had ample parking for him and he was hoping to get there to eat before your restraunt closed he made it there 15 minutes before...everyone was great there that he interacted with...his room was extremely clean and well furnished..he will always stay here if he ever has the need again..thank you for having such a wonderful clean hotel with plenty of ammenties.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and loved it in the beginning. This last stay, we were put in the back of the hotel?? The room smelled of mildew, the water pressure was low and not always hot. The tub drained slowly. There was a light out. The biscuits weren't always browned and the bacon was very, very greasy. the TV picture was not good at all. I am disappointed because this seems to be becoming a pattern with the hotels. They are not maintaining their good-standing.
Of course it isn't five star. It's not meant to be. However if you want a nice clean room, attentive employees and decent food don't pass this one up. Rooms are nice and clean. Employees speak to you when passing and I beforehand l believe they really want you to have a good experience here. I have stayed several times on business and it's always good. And that's what we want, good prices and good service. I am here right now on business. The food at the bar is very good and not at all fast food like some hotels. The bartender tonight is Yvonne and she is very competent. The burger is a good bet but the ribs are good also as was dessert. I want clean room, good food and friendly competent service and that's what you get here. I would gladly stay here if my business was in the area (huntsville)because it's worth it.
Hotel was great. Breakfast was very good.It was a full breakfast. The billing dept.has to be improved. Was billed 3 times for stay.It is pet friendly altho $20 per pet is a bit much. No walking area for pets.Has an onsite restaurant. The restaurant closes at 10:00 prefer it to stay open til 11:00
EVERY single staff member I came in contact with greyed me with a smile and were very courteous and professional. I travel quite a bit with work and this is hands down my favorite stay I've had all year! I spent 2 weeks on this trip at this location and any time I am in this area in the future this is the ONLY place I will stay. The rooms are immaculate, jetted bathtub a fantastic surprise. Breakfast had a large variety of hot and cold food choices including 3 different kinds of juices and milks. MANY MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF HERE. This Location would be the ideal training spot for new employees to learn their job for other locations...
This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and the room are very up to date decorated. What I do have to brag about is the nice staff and the beautiful pool area. Both times I have been here there were numerous blooming flowers and the landscape very well groomed. The staff always tells me hello as I walk in and out and the breakfast was GREAT. I loved the waffle you make yourself and the choice of meats, fruits, hot oatmeal with all the "fix ins", biscuits, rolls, fruits, yogurts, and the list goes on. My only complain was the scrambled eggs were not up to par but this was the first time. The had staff constantly walking the buffet and filling trays and making sure all were happy with coffee and cleaning tables. Will DEFINITELY go again. PS - there is a nice work out room which I always use.
Very nice, lovely patio and pool. Rooms nicely decorated. Great hot breakfast. The evening front desk clerk could have been a bit nicer, but she was "passable". The halls were nicely decorated also, new furniture and good color skim. The entrance is impressive and the catering services look like a very nice also.
