I would have given it a 5 but there was a torn place in the carpet. See Pic. It is clean. The refrigerator was larger than most with a freeze compartment. Check in was easy. It was a large room. Plenty of towels, plenty of 120v outlets, and AC was great. Good shower also. Easy to find with good parking.
Great and friendly service, clean and quiet rooms with comfortable beds, the channel sheet for guest is a plus!! Breakfast and breakfast options were great. Fast WiFi, clean pool area and nice hot tub!! Will stay there again if I work in that area again.
Torn carpet in the bedroom and roaches in my bathroom. I could live with a well worn room. That's understandable, but roaches in the room, particularly in November is beyond the pale. Given the price we paid, it's poor value.
We booked our rooms here for the rodeo and the hotel was great. The stuff and hotel was great. We will be staying here any time we are in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean.
It was great quality but by far its the best breafkfast bar that I have experience, I make my self a Texas state shape waffle and top it of with eggs, country potatoes, bacon chesse and salsa! The big Texas waffle!!
Right from the start, things went south. NO front desk person in sight. Waited 15 minutes!! I rang the bell several times and finally called the hotel. Front desk person (3/22/23 at about 8pm) came out of nowhere and stated "they make us do laundry & you should have rung the bell." She only came out when I called and instead of a welcome, I was met with "was that you (calling)?" No welcome, no acknowledgment of being a diamond member. Our initial interaction was not pleasant. I asked about area restaurants and was told with a hand wave "there's a McDonald's over there and a Bush's Chicken." While this may seem satisfactory, I later had to visit the desk and another guest asked the same question. He gets a plethora of great places, including a Mexican restaurant with the best margaritas. I booked a king bed. Got to my room and it was 2 queens. No mention that the room type I booked was not available. When I went back down to the desk, I was told "well, we don't have any kings." WELL, a guest should be told that their room type is not available, not just wait until they get to their room and right off the bat, it is wrong. Someone tell me why in the past couple BW stays this has happened, yet those room types are available on the BW booking site. The room was dirty in the sense that you could clearly see that the HVAC system was filthy. I don't appreciate that dust and dirt blowing on me, during my stay. The carpeted base boards were filthy. Chips by the bed. No guide for the TV. Called the desk and was told to "use the guide on the remote/like I do"...well, there was no such thing on the remote, or on the TV. As far as internet connection, there was a passcode on the keycard, but I had to call again to the front desk and ask which of several listed connections were for the BW. Told which one, and NO passcode was needed. It automatically connected me. As far as the GM or AGM, do not bother insulting me with a canned response of "on behalf of our entire team, we apologize we did not meet YOUR expectations (HOW PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE IS THAT?). Address my individual concerns and make it a point to train your employees to do their job with a smile and that they are correctly trained for good customer service. Welcome your guests. Train your housekeepers or Exec. Housekeeper to do their job correctly. Unless you have cameras in the laundry room, do not expect your front desk employees to leave the desk and have checking in customers wonder what is going on. Never in over 10 years, have I had to wait and go looking for a front desk employee. I have seen my share of front desk workers leave the desk to go out front and smoke cigarettes. (then they run back in when they see you and go to the desk wreaking of cigarettes). Do better. This information will also be shared on the BW page AND same details given on the survey.
This hotel is extremely clean and the breakfast is great. You get a full breakfast and it'is served hot. Waffles, eggs, bacon (yes bacon) as well as sausage, gravy, real potatoes, and soft hot biscuits as well as toast. Cerel and lots more. The coffee is hot not warm. Employees are friendly and helpful. The lobby, dining area and rooms are very clean with plenty of towels and amenities.
There are not many options in West TX. The hotel was clean and rooms probably updated or new within last 6-7 years. Staff was pleasant. Our room was clean BUT had urine odor just inside its entrance so we used the bathroom fan continuously to lessen the wafting into sleep area. We didn't request a change because the last room available was filled right after our check in. In West TX there are few hotel options and they are spaced far apart. Nice breakfast options but the utensil bins need to be on a routine cleaning schedule. The hotel parking lot was full of different work trucks but the crews inside were quiet. They were gone early. There was a man at the hotel main entrance that was shirtless and shoeless, smoking and pacing, while talking on the phone for at least 20 minutes that I found disconcerting. This is a public commercial venue and his (lack of) attire and pacing made the place seem kinda seedy.
The hotel was clean, staff was very nice, they were able to get us a handicapped room by the front entrance. The beds were a little too high for our handicapped 80yo family member, made it tough for him to get in and out of bed to go to the bathroom in the night. But, we ended up staying at 2 more BWs during our trip because of the breakfast, staff, and cleanliness... We were sorry to find that all the beds were very high and the last one was like 36in high and almost unsafe for our elderly family member to go to the bathroom at night. They look nice, but the are not practical for all guests.
Our rooms were very clean and comfortable (A/C good/ cold). Used exercise room twice and it was nice to walk on Treadmill and watch TV. Walking distance to several restaurants with several different food choices. We will stay again!
Check-in staff was rude, wouldn't let me use my travel card. Bathroom trash full from previous guest. Pool was cloudy and the little hot tub water was murky brown. Pillows smelled like perfume, not clean.
Nice clean hotel, with accommodating staff, we had to move to another room, because the refrigerator in first room made a loud noise, clerk moves us to a much nicer room. He also found a charging cube to use while we were there, since we forgot ours.
OohRah First and foremost? I want to personally Thank each staff member from Room Cleaning Individual? Front Desk, and especially Breakfast Staff member who did a super treat breakfast sandwich on the morning of the 20th of August. Last but not least the Best Western Manager who stands out from the other surrounding competition because his staff puts him in a class of its own. In fact, I was very fortunate to have asked a young lady employee at the Chamber of Commerce of my visit and possible location/s findings and she was very much of great assistance. It was through her ( Ms. Mona Ferguson) whom then recommended my stat with Best Western in which, I did. Such a peaceful and pleasant stay and someday soon, I have will visit again and do plan on making online reservations at this Best Western in Lamesa, Texas. Semper fidelis ~ Joe
We booked at BW in Lamesa to attend a reunion. Due to the size of the town and Covid-19 issues we didn't expect such a nice stay. It is evident they have staffing problems but the hotel was very clean. There was always fresh lemon water and a coffee machine available. Our reunion group enjoyed the lobby area for visiting. This is the best hotel in Lamesa.
We had a great experience at this Best Western Inn in Lamesa. I would venture to say it was the best hotel in the town and most definitely had the greatest staff around. Even with Covid restrictions still in place the staff provided a yummy breakfast made to order each day. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very accommodating. The indoor pool was a plus although it had a pump out so we couldn't enjoy it the entire time. The fitness room is small but very workable to get in a good days cardio. We used the business center twice and it is small but had everything we needed in order to work on a project while trying to enjoy a family vacay with the grandbabies.
So... to begin its West Texas and it's hard to find a good clean hotel that has everything working. This hotel was a great place to stay. Staff was very friendly. It's located in a good location in town with big truck parking. Have several restaurants in walking distance.
Our high school BBQ team enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and ready when we checked in. We were given a discounted group rate which was very reasonable. Wish we would have been able to enjoy breakfast but we had to leave very early.
We got stranded in a snow storm on New Year's Eve (!!!) and called while making our way to Lamesa. The rep was inviting and welcoming. He assured me they had rooms. By the time we checked in, a short line of fellow strandees appeared. The checkin process was quick and the attendant was very reassuring of the cleaning processes due to COVID. The property is older, but was remarkably clean. Everyone on staff was incredibly kind and professional. This is one night we will not forget- and luckily it was a great one! Thank you BW Lamesa!
I was extremely happy with the room and service I received. The breakfast was hot and there was a number of choices. Parking was ample and hotel exterior was clean and well kept. I will continue to stay at the Best Western in Lamesa Texas.
In this part of the country the choices tend to be limited. This one was very good for an older hotel/motel. Friendly check in. The room was larger than most. Good refrigerator. Enough towels. Good shower. Good bed. Adequate electrical outlets. Toilet Paper rack broken. Shower curtain dirty, needs replaced. Restaurant nearby. So with all the pluses I could overlook the shower curtain and TP rack.
Stopped over on a trip to and from a basic training graduation in San Antonio. It was just what we needed to break up the drive. The hot tub was refreshing and the folks at breakfast were hospitable. The most impressive thing, however, was Kelsie contacting Expedia on my behalf to correct my error in choosing the wrong reservation date by a week. She got them to cancel the charge and re-apply it to the night we checked in. It took her about ten minutes to jump through the hoops and we were very grateful. Not once did she give me a "you messed up" look. She was very nice about it all. Thanks to all.
This is our regular stop traveling from Corpus Christi to New Mexico. This Best Western is only 46 miles from Big Spring and quite a bit more reasonably priced. Clean, comfy, quiet, good breakfast. I like that Best Western hotels are independently owned and I think the Best Western Rewards program is good also. Good stop !
We have been using this hotel for several years on our way to & from Ruidosa Downs...have always liked the 1/2 way location...several years ago we got acquainted with Rebecca & Shirley...if there were more people like these two in our world it would be a better place...
Best Western Lamesa. As good as any. Truck parking. Places to eat fairly close. Accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Comfortable bed. I'm sure that I will be staying here again soon. Thanks!
We needed a nice, safe, quiet place to stay for the trip we were having to make. Best Western has always done a great job for our family in the past, and at Lamesa, TX, I was sure glad they had a Best Western to accommodate us. The lobby is very lovely, clean and the breakfast was perfect. The staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and all this just made our trip easier.
I spent 4 nights here for a business trip. My room was clean and comfortable. I would've liked more light in the room for working. One night a co worker and I ordered pizza to eat in the lobby and brought our own wine. We enjoyed quiet conversation and dinner by the fireplace. One staff person stood out as so hard working. When not staffing the breakfast, she was cleaning windows. She was also quite friendly. That's always nice.
Clean and comfy. Good price and good breakfast. This hotel is the perfect stop on our way from TX to NM. It is 46 miles out of Big Spring and about 1/2 the price of the BW in Big Spring. Also BW has a great rewards program.
We can't come up with a complaint. Employees, service, cleanliness all were great. The breakfast had a good selection, house keeping was very courteous, checking in and out was easy, overall a great, clean hotel.
This hotel was comfortable, and clean, could use a little decor makeover. Priced too high for the amenities offered. but staff was very helpful. Overall experience was good, Breakfast was okay, but have had better at other Best Westerns
This hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and professional. Numerous restaurants were within walking distance and others just a few minutes drive. The internet was super fast and very reliable. While I did not participate in their breakfast, I did see a variety of foods to choose from. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be staying here again.
It started snowing on my drive home from visiting family in CA. Since it was 6 hrs to my destination I was hoping to find decent lodging in Lamesa for the night and The Best Western Inn & Suites was way more than decent! Lana the night clerk was friendly and checked me in quickly, which I truly appreciated! The room was clean and warm - slept great. Price ($129) was not unusual for a holiday (New Year's Eve), and the full breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Very nice place to stay, very friendly staff, especially the breakfast lady. She was very friendly and helpful and offered valuable information about Lamesa. She was the best part of our stay. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels daily. Over all, very good stay!
I would probably pass on the hotel and look elsewhere. The hotel was extremely noisy during our stay. If you are wanting a good nights sleep, well this place is probably not for you. The breakfast, while sufficient was quite bland.
This BW in Lamesa is the best place to stay while you're here. Not many options in Lamesa so we're happy that BW opened here. The staff is friendly enough and, because it's BW, it's familiar. Beds are comfy even if the pillows aren't. It's quiet.
This is a very good hotel in a small Texas town a little bit off of the main travel routes of I-10 and I-20. Rooms were great and the breakfast items were very good. I had a good nights sleep and would recommend this hotel if you are traveling in this part of Texas.
The staff is excellent, Breakfast is real good and the rooms are above par. there is a little maintenance that could be done but id rather have beter service than a spot on room with no querks. if you have a problem the staff will change rooms no questions.
The rooms fine. Front desk service is non-existent. No sane person would eat the breakfast. With all of this said, it's as good as you can find in the area. I stay here one week per year and perhaps a night or two here and there if our site has issues and I need to respond.
I always come thru Lamesa, TX to visit friends and I really enjoy coming to a clean, updated hotel with breakfast in the morning. Staff is always top notch! The spa is awesome and the pool is a nice touch after a long day driving.
Excellent hotel. First time here and it looks like it is new but I think the desk clerk mentioned they have been there at least 5 years. Breakfast buffet more unique than some places we have stayed. They had tortillas on the buffet where you could add eggs, bacon, shredded cheese, tomatoes, and other toppings not usually seen in a breakfast buffet. Very clean, and comfortable room. Nice comfortable furniture in dining room to eat at tables or sit and watch TV. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
My husband and I really like this Best Western. We stop here when we travel from Austin to Santa Fe! This trip is 11 hours total and we find this hotel is our perfect half way point. We like to eat at a great pizza place right down the street, Hungry Bear Pizza!
I was surprised to find a hotel so new and contemporary decor in this size community. The Staff was so pleasant, warm and welcoming. Rooms are modern with beautiful contemporary design and decor. Breakfast was by great and coffee "Royal Cup" was the best ever.
New and very clean. Plenty of good parking. Great breakfast. Wonderful beds, lovely pool and spa, basic fitness room, good laundry facilities. Really could use some shaded outdoor patio area. Summer sun is brutal In July. Lobby was nice but limited seating. But with unlimited free bacon every morning, what are you waiting for?
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet.Breakfast was more than enough. We would stay at this hotel again. I don't know why but I was unable to post this review unless I typed at least 200 keystrokes.
We had a group stay for the weekend and had some special requests that involved the breakfast times being shifted earlier than normal. The staff was very accommodating, they listened to everything we requested and delivered very well. The staff went out of their way. Definitely would stay there again.
It is the ONLY good hotel in town. Others are, well, questionable. This place has the friendly staff, clean rooms, and located centrally in Lamesa. We had an issue with one of the rooms last year, and the front desk was VERY quick to switch us to another room. If you stay here, be sure to eat across the road at the Japanese steak house. It's worth your time! When we return to Lamesa, this location will be the one I'll go to. Highly recommended for staying when in Lamesa.
A lovely hotel: friendly & accomodating staff, nice large rooms, clean and completely updated; comfortable beds. Provided a full breakfast, carefully attended to by cheerful staff. Check/in and out was seemless and room rates were reasonably priced.
we live in Lamesa but we stayed here for 21 days from End of Jan 2017- mid March 2017 we could not have asked for a bette4r place to stay the staff we all so great Lana is such a sweetheart and Shirley there is not enough words to describe this lady is just great we were treated excellent I would recommend this hotel to anyone that stays in Lamesa, Texas
We were given a room with a heavily sagging mattress belying a level night's sleep. There was a large 18"x3" tear in the walking area, and the room was laden with stagnant cigarette smoke. The low-affect receptionist did give us keys to another room.
Nice, clean space! Friendly staff! Enjoyable stay! Would definitely stay again! The front desk person was incredibly friendly, helpful and personable. Andre appeared to genuinely care about us and treated us as well as family! I appreciate it!
Top notch for a small West Texas town. Everything as you would expect - except for a real fiddly internet service. Expect passwords and slow / patchy connection. Nice people - Good place to stop if you are staying in Lamesa.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The bathtub had rust around the metal. I had the room right by the office which was convenient, but in the morning you could hear everyone in the breakfast area. The breakfast had lots of choices and good. The pool area was indoor with a hot tub. This area was nice and clean. The fitness room had 4 pieces of equipment. The only one that worked properly was the recumbent bike. The ellipticals screens did not work and the treadmill squeaked and the screen also did not work. Rates were reasonable.
We needed a hotel room for the night before going home. Sometimes finding a room in the Texas panhandle part of the state can be difficult. This hotel was very nice and clean with a good breakfast to boot. I would recommend this hotel to anybody passing through.
Higher end hotel. Higher price but clean and good place to stay. Breakfast was average but good. Third floor rooms are the quietest. Would stay there again when in the area. Great to be able to do laundry and have the quiet area. Friendly staff .
I stayed at the Best Western in Lamesa, Texas on Saturday, February 25th and I was more than displeased with my stay. Upon arrival, my fiancée and I waited at the front desk for about five minutes waiting for someone to help us. When the employee finally arrived from the back, he assisted us with our reservation with a less than friendly demeanor. We left for a few hours in the evening and returned to the hotel around 7:30 PM. My family and I had plans to relax at the pool and hot tub, but were unable to do so due to a few families and their children swimming till 9:15 PM. These people were not guests at the hotel and I had to let them out of the pool area since they did not have a key. I watched them walk to the parking lot towards their cars to leave. When we entered the pool area, there was a dirty diaper floating in the pool. We decided not to use the pool and we stayed in the hot tub. After an hour or so, I went to use the restroom in the pool area. I walked in and noticed the toilet was clogged and I was unable to flush it properly. At this point, we decided to go back to our rooms. We looked around for towels, but all of the towels had been used and thrown on the floor by the people who were there before us. The next morning, we went downstairs for breakfast at 9:10 AM. We made our plates and sat down at a table to eat. Breakfast ended at 9:30 AM; however, the breakfast staff began to put away the food at 9:25 AM. There were three tables with guests eating breakfast including us and at 9:35 AM, the staff turned off the lights, and we all finished our breakfast in the dark. This is completely unacceptable. I am a former restaurant manager and understand the business quite well. I understand the staff needed to put the food away, but it was completely ridiculous for us to finish our conversation and breakfast in the dark while they made themselves (and their children) a plate to eat in the back. In addition, there was one particular staff member who was eating cereal while we watched her wipe down the counters (the same staff member that turned off the lights). This is very unsanitary. At 9:40 AM, they had all chairs turned upside down on the tables and the staff mopped around our feet. When we got up to throw away our trash, we almost slipped and fell since it was dark and there was not a yellow “wet floor” sign out on the floor. If someone had fallen and been hurt, this situation could have turned into a potential lawsuit. When I went upstairs to take a shower, I noticed a rather large crack with mold growing inside of the crack at the top of the shower rod (see pictures below). When I got out of the shower, housekeeping knocked on our door. My fiancée let them know we were still in the room and we had a late checkout for 1:00 PM. After my fiancée left the room to take luggage to the car, housekeeping knocked on the door again and began to unlock and open the door despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on the outside of our door AND knowing we had a 1:00 PM checkout time. I frantically caught the door (while I was in a towel) and informed the lady again of our checkout time and told her not to knock on the door again. I went downstairs to check out and spoke with a lady at the front desk (she was not wearing a name tag). I informed her of my frustrations during our stay and showed her the pictures of the dirty diaper in the pool, us sitting in the dark at breakfast, and informed her of the incidents with housekeeping. She confirmed that housekeeping DID know we had a late checkout for 1:00 PM. Although she seemed displeased, she told me she was not sure what she could do for me since my credit card had already been charged. I expressed my concerns once again and she reluctantly refunded my card for $50.00 for the $109.00 reservation. I am appalled at the lack of attention to detail the Best Western staff failed to accomplish during our stay in Lamesa, Texas. Our family made the trip to Lamesa to visit an ailing family member who was recently put on Hospice and does not have much longer to live. Our trip was unexpected and was accompanied with large amounts of stress. Our experience at Best Western not only made it worse, but extremely cumbersome. For future trips, I will not be staying at this facility nor will I be recommending any family or friends to stay at this location.
Extremely clean and modern hotel in small town in Texas Several restaurants in walking distance-Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Oriental steakhouse, Subway Indoor pool and whirlpool A block off main highway Good beds with firm mattresses
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed at check-in. There was no waiting time and we were promptly checked in. The room was pleasant and very clean. At first, I kept looking for the closet - I have never been in a hotel room that did not have a closet! Anyway, I discovered that the closet was behind the full length mirror (the door). It also contained the iron and ironing board. The shower had good water pressure and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided but we did not eat there so we cannot comment. All in all, we were very pleased with the accommodations and the staff. Will definitely stay there again!
From all accounts. This was supposed to be a clean hotel. However, upon arrival to our double room, I turned back the sheets to find HAIR. They looked like a hairy legged man had been rolling in the sheets, and no one bothered to change them! I called to the office, and spoke with a very nice young lady who offered let me come get new sheets, or she could bring them up in a while. I had tired, small children, so we went and picked them up. No pillowcases. Great. The bathroom, at least, smelled like bleach, so I was okay giving the kids a bath. Grabbed the lotion off the sink... It was used. To top off the whole stay, the waffle iron at breakfast was broken. We cancelled our reservation for the next week (return trip from New Mexico), and will be finding a new place.
We needed a nice hotel in Lamesa and this was it. We were very pleased with the accomodations and the staff. the bed was very comfortable and the room was immaculate! We will recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to or through Lamesa.
The hotel was pleasant, modern clean and the room was clean, well-appointed and immaculate. There was no closet. I had to go to court and had intended to iron a blouse but, there was no closet and no ironing board. Judges can hide a wrinkled shirt so can a lawyer.
I stayed at this hotel for business, and it was adequate for the 8 hours total that I was there. Beware that the property "does not give extra pillows", and check the temperature of the breakfast before you take your first bite and get greeted by cold eggs.
This is a very clean hotel. The breakfast was really great. It had several options to choose from. Everything was clean from the front door to every floor. The rooms were clean and didn't smell. The beds were comfortable. The service was really great. They took care of all my needs. A great place to stay!
The staff was very nice and this is the best motel in Lamesa in my opinion. I do have 3 notes for travelers. 1. Even though we had told them we were definitely on our way within 2-3 hours of our arrival, our room was very hot. We were informed that you have to specifically ask that the air be turned on if you want your room cool. 2. The room for disabled patrons was at the end of a long hall on the third floor. Someone with a disability such as walking or breathing like we have will have trouble walking that far. 3. If the indoor pool is importent to you, check that filters are running. The pool was dirty and it looked like the filters were not running. It was so cold that we couldn't use it either. The pool was important to us due to our disabilities. Otherwise, breakfast was good, staff great, and like I said the best in town. Would stay there again if I'm ever in Lamesa .
clean and comfortable the staff was helpful safe place top park vehicle right under our window parking lot well lite, beds very comfortable room clean breakfast was ok I would have liked to see more selections of food. Easy check in and check out only thing is this Best Western does not accept pets and we go thru Lamesa a lot when we have our little dog with us we stay at the Shiloh Inn down the street
This is one of the nicest Best Western's I have stayed in. Staying here makes me check with Best Western more when I travel. It is one of the cleanest and nicest places I have stayed. Their breakfast are superior to most. The staff is always courteous. the Rooms are comfortable and clean. I have stayed at this location 3 times over the past 3 years.
Good location, very comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Was glad I stayed overnight there. Breakfast items were better than most as the scrambled eggs were fluffy with just the right amount of moisture, nice selection of meats, bread, pastries.
This is more of your typical Best Western property. Clean rooms, comfy beds. My only complaint was it took forever to cool down the room. Breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits, but the waffle maker was Texas shaped!
Very nice hotel. Hotel was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was good...they had biscuits and gravy plus waffles, cereal and fruit. Helpful and friendly staff. Better prices than hotels in Big Spring or San Angelo, Texas. This was a convenient stop on our way from Texas to New Mexico and we will stay here again.
Great place and friendly staff. We arrived late and the lady took care of every detail and helped us with the rewards program and made sure we would get our points. The breakfast area was well stocked and was fresh.
The Lamesa TX Best Western is the best hotel in town. Excellent experience! It may not have all the amenities a larger town/city offer but it was clean, safe, and a great location. I expected a smaller breakfast offering but was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was really good.
Quiet and comfortable. No issues with any of the amenities. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The process of checking in was quick and simple. The coffee was very good. I would use this hotel again if I pass this way. Didn't expect to find this caliber of hotel in Lamesa.
I will definitely be staying at this particular hotel again in the coming months. It was a last minute booking and we had no problems checking in. I would recommend staying here, it's location is centralized and conveniently easy to find
Very friendly staff, hotel is clean and well kept. Breakfast every morning with a variety of food. Always fresh and ready. Beds comfortable, quiet at night. Great for restful sleep. Check out quick and easy
This is an ordinary hotel, nothing to excite rage, but nothing to make you burst into song either. To be fair, I was having some serious health problems (cellulitis) and it was both a weekend and the doldrums time of year. The complaint about the curtain hanging in front of the AC is valid any time of year, however.
We love staying at this hotel. The staff is very helpful, courteous and friendly and our rooms are always clean and in good order. We love the breakfast in the mornings. Everyone is always willing to help and go above and beyond. We always feel welcome when we stay.
This hotel charged $222 for each of two non-smoking rooms that they claimed were smoked in. They did not call to authorize this with anyone, simply charged someone's corporate card. I have been dealing with this issue for 13 days now. I have waited for the manager, Dave Bhakta, to return my call. I ended up calling the hotel a total of 11 times before he finally called me. All he could say is the room smelled like smoke. He then threatened to call the Justice of the Peace so he could charge $500 per room. FYI Best Western Corporate has no control over any of it's hotels, it is up to each individual owner (per BW CORP.). We will not be using ANY Best Western Hotels because of how we were treated. This went beyond the original issue and turned into a customer service fiasco. Don't waste your time or money.
Before I left home I checked hotels along our travel route. Deciding to spend the night halfway, I called Best Western Lamesa and was told the only rooms available were suites. The price was $20 more than listed on the website. I then used my Ipad to make a reservation through TripAdvisor. The rate was $20 less gave us K/NS. We checked in and went to our room. It was not a regular room - it was handicapped accessible. Thinking it would not matter for one night we did not ask to switch rooms. While taking my shower the handicapped tub seat fell down and almost caused me serious injury. Next morning the desk attendant was apologetic about the seat falling but claimed our reservation was for handicapped room. I checked my paperwork and it was for K/NS, not handicapped. However, the room was clean and breakfast was OK. Price was good but only because I made the reservation through TripAdvisor. The hotel was not nearly full, so there were certainly non-handicapped rooms available. Room faced a building next to hotel. This was great because it kept the street noise out.
Professional employees, clean rooms, good breakfast, quiet, no riff raff hanging around the parking lot, fast elevator, good black out curtains, good firm mattress and pillows . K-Bob's Steak House just down the road. A little high priced, but all in all I would stay again when passing this way again.
I have always avoided Best Westerns, thinking they were dives like Motel 6. This was as great an experience as I have had at Marriotts which I generally frequent, I was amazed. I will try other BWs now to see if they have upgraded the other hotels like this one... Give them a try! It was great! The facility was as nice as a Marriott and the staff super helpful and friendly. The breakfast and internet and free and worth the stay.
We stayed here during our 3rd day of tornado chasing. It meets the best western standards and therefore we were satisfied with our stay. It was good value for money and I believe it is the best option if you are going through Lamesa.
BEWARE, I stayed at this hotel back in March 2015 - purchased my hotel on Priceline and paid in full before checking in. Upon check in they took my credit card for incidentals, which I was fine with (though I didn't purchase anything/have any charges at the hotel.) A few days later I glanced at my credit card statement and saw multiple charges from the hotel (there should have been none), and they continued to charge the card over the next month, totaling close to $500! The manager won't return phone calls and I still have the charges on my card. PLEASE BEWARE of this place, they are thieves. Best Western corporate has also been no help, I am very disappointed in this hotel and Best Western in general, what a shame. I am also very disappointed in Priceline, they have also been no help even though they offer this hotel on their site.
This hotel was very convenient to where we had to go Service was very good. Would defiantly stay there again and recommend it . The only issue is there are no restaurants in in the area. The breakfast provided was well above what I expected. Thank you for your service
Nice place to stay in Lamesa, Texas. Restaurants were close. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very nice. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The internet worked without problems. Breakfast was hot and delicious.
