Good hotel pet friendly i a quiet area of town surrounded with parks and forest..great for walking our little dogs. Pool is nice but we did not use it. Our stay was in the winter and room was warm...bathtub was a bit shallow however clean

Probably the worst hotel to stay in if you are a sports team. They make a schedule on who can be in the pool and what time you can have breakfast. The staff are not the nicest as well. The actual breakfast is ok. The rooms are clean. Price is not worth it as well. Be tough for me want to stay here again.

This place is great, rooms were clean, breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and respectful. For the dollar amount our room was huge. Will highly recommend if someone is needing a place to stay in the area.

Honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a group booking (hockey tournament). The hotel looks great and was clean. Jacquie, the GM ensured everything was arranged in advance so that the teams each had specific times for the pool and breakfast area and communicated this schedule with the other hotel guests. As a result, everything went smoothly.

Bw chose to add charges to my bill unnecessarily. I informed bw that my daughter and or grandchildren may stay off and on during my 8 day visit. As the did. Never ever have I been charged for guest. The clerk decided to inform me only after the fact when I was checking out that she would be checking the cameras to see if and when my grandchildren visited and be charged accordingly . Wow checking the cameras , was I some kind of thief? And indeed they did charge me extra made me feel dishonest and my privacy invaded. Don't put yourselves through this , I never will again

I would recommend this hotel, as you walk in very clean and the most helpful staff. The breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel in a long time. Th GM made my booking for the group so easy and was very helpful with any questions I had.

We booked a 3 night stay at this hotel to attend a family wedding. Just prior to the ceremony on day 1 of our stay, one of the guests in our party suffered an acid reflex incident that caused them to vomit on the carpet. They cleaned up the small mess and although humiliating they thought the responsible thing to do was to call housekeeping so a proper cleaner could be used on the floor. Housekeeping used a bucket to clean the carpet and left towels on the floor to absorb the water. When I checked out 2 days later the hotel had charged me $250 plus tax for this cleaning service. This is a ridiculous fee to clean a 1x1 square of carpet and 20 min of a housekeepers time. The owner stated this was a standard fee to steam clean the carpet. The carpets had not been steam cleaned. This was an unavoidable incident and it was not disclosed that I would be charge this excessive fee, The hotel does not offer daily housekeeping so enjoys cost saving measures on housekeeping already. The owner claimed, that a towel that had to be replaced as nail polish had spilled on it, would also be included in this fee. I was charged this fee before the nail polish came to light and I'd been more than agreeable to pay a replacement fee for the damaged towel. However that incident would not have occurred if the toilet had been bolted to the floor and did not wobble back and forth when one sat on it. This is what caused the nail polish to fall from the tank and spill on the towel. I think it is terrible the owner profits off the humiliation of her guests and the experience has tainted what would have been remembered as an amazing celebration and time spent with rarely seen family. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Loved everything except the barking dog near our room on the main floor. Nice huge parking lot close to Toller's Bistro. Great to have breakfast at the hotel but wish the 6-9 a.m. weekdays might be extended to 9:30 or 10. Spacious rooms with nice amenities.

Very enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel with a nice swimming pool and good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff helped to ensure a pleasant stay. The Lacombe area offers a number of amenities for a family vacation.

Excellent hotel. Friendly, courteous, help-full staff. Many many amenities including large pool and super water slide, big hot tub, full work-out room. Large well designed parking lot. very spacious comfortable rooms. Breakfast supplied. Unlike BC rooms have air conditioning, thank goodness. Very nice relaxing stay.

I had the pleasure of staying for three nights at this establishment, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff exhibited an exceptional level of professionalism and friendliness throughout my stay. The comfort of the beds was truly noteworthy, ensuring a restful sleep each night. A highlight for my children was the pool, complete with an exciting water slide. This amenity not only delighted my kids but also afforded parents like me a well-deserved moment of relaxation. If I were to offer any constructive feedback, it would pertain to the pricing when I inquired about extending my stay by one additional night. Unfortunately, the cost for the extra night was approximately 40% higher than what I had paid for the previous two nights. On a positive note, an added bonus is the fantastic ice cream place conveniently located next door. It's a definite hit with the kids and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience

I love the wonderful staff and facility! It is my favorite place to stay other than home! Lacombe is a beautiful place a to visit, and this is a wonderful place to stay. You will never be disappointed with the facility or the service.

Massive rooms, excellent bathroom. Breakfast is quite well stocked, although options aren't consistent for vegetarians. Pool area with waterslide a big draw for families. Solid choice overall, you won't have many complaints.

Our family recently spent 2 nights at this hotel with a total of 5 rooms. During our stay I heard many compliments regarding the hotel and no complaints. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the king room we had was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good with friendly staff working diligently to ensure the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. I found the price to be very reasonable. We did not use the pool or fitness centre. Hotel is easy to find.

This might be a great hotel but unfortunately we never had the opportunity to visit. I called and booked a room approximately a month and a half ago as we are attending a wedding in the area. Today (5 days before the wedding) I received a phone call from the manager (Sam) that our reservation was being cancelled because a crew was extending their stay there and they take priority over my family. Immediately I called Best Western customer relations who informed me that since our room had already been confirmed by the property, this actually violated their terms and conditions. I was offered another room in the area at their expense but unfortunately nothing else is available. My kids are pretty upset that they dont get to stay overnight at a hotel with a pool. I guess, just know that if you aren't with a “crew”and you book this hotel, that you are not their priority and at any given moment you could be without a reservation or place to stay. Horrible customer service.

Great location. The hotel felt very clean and modern. Great amenities (pool, hot tub, fitness) although I didn't use them. I was in town to adopt a rescue dog. Great outdoor space for dog walking. My room with 2 queen beds was very spacious. Fair price. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Rooms are clean and inviting though beds are quite firm. Excellent selection of breakfast options! I especially appreciated real hot oatmeal with a variety of fruit options! Also, important for our family is to have gluten-free and dairy-free options. There were several and so everyone was able to enjoy a delicious breakfast! Due to room demand for hockey tournament prices were high for the town. Terry, who worked in the breakfast room was truly wonderful! She demonstrated such kindness and respect especially to the young kids; mostly pre-teen boys. She remembered guests and what they needed from morning to morning. She is a treasure to have and hope that she knows this!

I took my grandkids there for a night of fun , swimming etc. We all had a blast!! This hotel is so friendly, clean , and overall the best! Bravo !! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! From the front desk , housekeeping, kitchen staff ; they were all fantastic!! Very happy!!

Booked one of the best rooms in this hotel just to learn how to become an expert fly hunter. No matter where I looked stepped or sat down there were flys awaiting my sweet justice. After spending the first 30 minutes of our stay on our wedding night hunting down flys I can definitely say I was very disappointed with the cleanliness standards for their best rooms.

This hotel in Lacombe, Alberta was a great nights getaway for my husband and I. The beds were very comfortable, We were pleased with the nice quiet location and and the beautiful fall colours from our fourth floor window. Also, we were lucky enough to be there for the weekend Farmer's Market.

I booked reservations for this hotel wks & wks ago. It was a HUGE problem and inconvenience to do so in the first place. I am a diamond member & wanted to use points. I feel like these smaller location hotels just don't want members using points as they loose revenue or something? I was informed this hotel only accepts a minimum 2 night stay, ok fine, we'll make a wknd of it. I contacted BW via the 1800 number to book & was told I needed to contact the location directly, contacted the location, they confirmed they did have availability but couldn't book it directly because I was using points &I had to call the 1800 number back to book. We were planning to stay the two nights as fav brewery is in Lacombe but now I have to be out of town for work Monday. I called the 1 800 number to change, they couldn't change it & told me to contact the hotel directly. I contacted the hotel manager who was rude when I requested to change it to 1 night. She informed it was a 2 night min & that she would just cancel it. She wasn't even willing to listen or work with me. I didn't want to cancel it. I just wanted to stay the 1 night. There was no "lets see if we can offer you a different wknd where we can book you 1 night. Nothing. I stated, I have all these points to use and can't seem to use them as I would wish. Jack, the manager was rude and didn't seem to care at all that I needed to make this change. Lacombe is a very small town and I doubt they have been booked to full capacity every wknd this summer and now going into the fall....Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are.... but I doubt it.

Excellent hotel , modern clean and the customer service is 10/10. Thank you Cody and Jackie for going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect .From the moment we walked we were welcomed so warmly by Cody at reception, thank you for going the extra mile to ensure we got a lovely room and for being so gracious to my 6 year old son Caleb . He was most impressed by the lollipops you gave him and telling him that the pool with the slide was open . You have made our trip and stay memorable especially to the children . Jackie you were just a God send thank you for taking time from your busy day just to come chat with us and ask how we were doing . I was really touched by you providing us with a life jacket for the little boy .Breakfast was served with a loving smile and warm reception by the lady in the dinning room and she took time to make sure we had a variety of items to choose from . I would love to come back to your hotel very very soon

Everything we needed, was available! Clean beds, showers, a pool, and a full scale breakfast with a nice variety that even picky kids enjoy! Not experienced in hotel life, we enjoyed a warm welcome, and easy direction to our room. The little kids were amazed to see how much staff was cleaning, and keeping things clean. The food was pretty good, and the eggs in a Farm style wrap were delicious! Besides cleanliness, good food, and comfy beds, this place has also added some beautiful rustic features to keep it up to date with the trends. At the end of the day, I don't see why this business is a 5 star. We appreciated and were thankful for the service as they took one more extra step to make things pleasant. Thank you!

Excellent stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the amenities were always fresh and available. Breakfast was AWESOME. Close to everything and near the freeway, but not within hearing distance.

I had to stay in Lacombe for work for a night and decided to check out nether new Best western instead of my usual stay and was extremely satisfied with the hotel and the whole experience. Everything was super clean and the location worked out great for my visit

Very friendly and helpful staff, Hot breakfast was not available except for self made pancakes and breakfast sandwiches, few people in the dining room. We had to drive many miles to find a place that served a proper breakfast. Otherwise a good place to stay, quiet, rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy,

I have stayed at this property a few times and I realize that the hardships the hospitality industry has faced the past 2 years due to Covid but I did find the rates this trip quite substantially higher. The staff have always been very professional and there to serve and provide great customer service. The location for me has been quite good and in some cases I have had to travel a bit which is worth the drive when compared to the competition in the market area.

Held great standards, service at all times, many free and leisure activities and supplies, in a prime location, with full financial conditions meet, large rooms with easy access to bathrooms and high levels for personal safety throughout clean fresh air and many Great views of scenic stimulation, the title is of the establishment is welled earned

This hotel is a great place to stay for families as there is a pool and free breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful and able to make the stay very enjoyable. The check in process that was done on line is recommended as it sped up checking in. Will for sure stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly, rate was a tad higher than I'd like but it was right near our baseball diamonds. The kids had fun in the pool and the breakfast was awesome. The kids also loved the horseshoe set up that was out back. Would go back if ever in Lacombe again!

What a hotel. Clean, well appointed, amazing and friendly staff, good food, amazing pool with a water slide. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. From when we checked in, the stay was great. We had very friendly check in staff great us, and get our room organized. The elevators were quick and clean. The room was perfect (with Bunk Beds for the kids!) it was clean, modern, with a lovely bathroom (I can be picky on bathrooms, and I love a clean/modern bathroom). From there to the swimming pool (with a slide) for the kids - they did not want to leave. We used some of the hotel conference centers as well, and the staff were so accommodating. If you ever find yourself in the broad vicinity of this hotel I would just book it!

Great place to stay, very clean and up to date. The beds were lovely and soft, the room was quiet and it was easy to get to sleep. We had pre-booked the stay, but were unable to change the booking once we got there.

The Lacombe Best Western is by far the best hotel I stay in on a regular basis, super staff, amazing rooms, comfortable beds and some really good breakfast choices. I stay there regularly for work but also choose to stay there on vacations! A great hotel with a great team!

We greatly enjoyed our stay, housekeeping staff were exceptional, room was spacious and comfortable, my son enjoyed the pool and water slide, and the hotel was in a good location. There is a playground and skate park just behind the hotel, and baseball diamonds across the street.

The housekeeping stay are very friendly and helpful. Seemed to enjoy their job and had time to help find good places to eat and were knowledgeable on what was happening in town to participate in. Was a very relaxing trip.

Located off the main highway, this hotel is surrounded by a park perfect for our dog to stretch her legs. The hotel was clean and modern which made it feel like you were at a spa resort. We didn't have aour swimsuits to use the pool, but it looked fun. The Continental breakfast hit the spot. The town was unexpectedly quaint and friendly.

I stay here regularly for business. Hotel staff is great and room always meets expectations. Breakfast is good however could do with a change up every 3-4 mints in term of what they offer. Convenient location re Lacombe and Highway 2.

We stayed at the hotel with our sports group. The staff were very accommodating and made it a great stay for all of us. We would definitely recommend to others. The rooms were clean. There is a pool with a slide and hot tub. The hotel also put on an escape room for the girls which they loved.

Was doing work in the area and needed a place to stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I had to work in the area. Only downside is due to covid they aren't doing a hot breakfast but the breakfast options were still decent

We had the best sleep. Loved the bed so comfy we slept in.(just past breakfast end time) Staff put together a good breakfast for us. The staff were friendly and EXTREMELY helpful!, from initial phone reservation to checkout. Room was clean Internet worked good. Our stay of choice in Lacombe.

The hotel is close to the highway and close to the dealer I work with. Easy to check in, friendly staff. I will go there again next trip. Pleasant room, with a desk to work from. Comfortable bed and nice big shower.

Our hockey team chose to stay at this property as we had a weekend tournament in Clive. The front desk staff looks to maximize revenue from its guests: - parents wanted to socialize and using a room, were charged for a meeting room for a few hours - I was arriving at noon and given check-in time was 4 pm, was told I would need to pay an additional fee - The hotel hosted all four teams in the tournament. As another team and ours were playing late, we needed a 1 pm check-out. We were told that there would be an additional fee. The hotel had received a great deal of revenue from the four teams and was not busy when everyone was checking out. They could have easily asked their cleaning staff to start an hour later. The hotel industry is one in the hospitality industry. Follow the letters of all the policy to maximize revenue or be a little more flexible and accommodate your customer. The latter will make your customers want to return. If you are a hockey team, do not stay at this property!

As parents of the bride we requested a larger room to entertain some family members and close friends between the wedding ceremony and reception- we were upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with a large living area- worked perfect! We had 9 children (ages 7 to 16) who played board games in the bedrooms while the adults visited in the living area. Kids loved the pool during the day as well as the breakfast that was included!

The hotel itself is beautiful, but I've stayed at quite a few hotels over the year and i did find this hotel to be overpriced for the overall experience, amenities, and rooms. The rooms were very clean which is absolutely appreciated, free breakfast, and comfortable beds.

This hotel is very nice. My room was large, comfortable, nicely furnished and very clean. The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. There is a nice restaurant called Tollers 100 feet away. I will be staying again when I am in Lacombe.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel on September 28th and it was our highlight of our road trip. We were warmly greeted by Sam at the front desk and our check in was a breeze. As a repeat client we were given an upgrade and our suite was beautifully appointed and very clean. Our king size bed was very comfortable and we both enjoyed an excellent sleep. The breakfast served the next day (which you picked up and took back to your room) was outstanding. There were many choices of freshly made egg/bacon and sausage sandwich wraps, juice, yogurt, and cereal. My wife and I were very happy that we were able to book the work-out room prior to our check out. All Covid 19 restrictions were observed at this hotel and we felt very safe. Thank you staff at B.W. Plus Lacombe Inn and Suites for another great stay!

I travel a lot for work and this BW is well appointed, clean and has the best service staff off any chain I stay with Management has done a good job to train staff Overall a very good experience Like most hotel rooms shower could have stronger spray

My sister and I truly enjoyed our experience at Best Western. The room was very clean and felt larger than what it was. The staff were superb in attending quickly to my requests in going to the pool or providing me with an extra blanket. The morning breakfast was excellent and better than expected. The servers were very pleasant and did everything with a smile. It was a wonderful way to start our day.

We loved everything about this hotel! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Jackie the manager went out of her way to make sure that we had a great experience there. We were there for 10 days and it really felt like home! We will definitely be back!

Best western Lacombe is new, clean, perfectly located hotel. Family and pets friendly. Pool and fitness center are perfect for family fun, guest laundry is equipped in new machines for customers convenience. Play park, lots of walking paths, baseball fields, small shopping plaza nearby. Very close to Aspen Beach . Rooms are awesome, comfortable beds, out of other Best Western hotels, this one is a winner mostly due to its localization. Not by the Main Street, not on large shopping plaza , surrounded by lots of green space, safe area for kids, skate park right outside the windows. We Recommend Best Western Lacombe to all

A great hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms were quiet, good beds. Nice large shower. Overall just a great place to stay. Close to Hiway access, golf course, campgrounds, ball diamonds, service station, grocery stores and restaurants. No on-site restaurant, but a very nice breakfast bar. Perfect

As a Diamond Member I would suggest you look for another place to stay. Staff was not accommodating do me or my family. Would only provide 1 pillow for my two kids. Staff was not accountable and pushed everything off to owner. Owner showed little care as well.

Very convenient, staff super friendly and professional. The bathroom was immaculate, the bed was divine and the pillows were perfect! I wanted to take it all home with me. :D Easy to get from the hotel to downtown and other locations. Looking forward to another stay - hopefully the beautiful breakfast room will be operational again, it looks wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.

We travelled from Calgary to stay at this hotel because we'd been previously and the kids loved the pool and waterslide. We have friends who live in the area so we decided to go fir a mini getaway as Lacombe is the perfect spot for a young family mini vacation. Only 1.5 hrs from Calgary, it's easy to get to and the town has everything you need. There's a playground, skatepark and green space right behind the hotel which was perfect for the kids, the downtown is cute and quaint and perfect spot for an afternoon stroll. We will absolutely stay here again!

Huge skatepark for kids that skateboard and scooter! Close drive to Gull Lake and Red Deer. My son's hotel choice each time we go away for the weekend! Pool area very clean and always in working order!

The staff was awesome, so friendly and willing to help with any request. I have stayed at many hotel but this one everyone went beyond my expectation. Next time I am in the Red Deer area I will be staying in this Hotel in Lacombe.

The hotel is well located , close to restaurants and gas station. It is easy to drive to the commercial center! The room was in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly in spite of the COVID restrictions , I would recommend staying there

The Best Western in Lacombe is always my go to hotel for cleanliness, service and comfort . The staff is the best. They are so helpful and friendly. They have very high standards. The buffet has been cancelled due to Covid but they are doing a very nice take away breakfast until this is over. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are so fluffy that I bought 2

Very friendly staff, clean room. We had a room with 2 beds and a pull-out couch that slept my husband, myself and our 4 kids comfortably. Due to covid we had to book our pool time so that isn't as easy having to be on a schedule, but it was pretty great having the pool to ourselves. The kids had a great time on the waterside. We were here for a wedding, I doubt I'll ever be in Lacombe again, but if we are, we would definitely stay here again

We were looking for a stay-cation getaway over the summer and were very pleased with our experience at this hotel. It's very easy to access this hotel from the highway. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were nice, clean, and had everything we needed. The grab-n-go breakfast was great as well. The pool was open for limited use due to COVID-19 and our family enjoyed it very much. We look forward to coming back again sometime.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 35th anniversary at the Best Western Lacombe hotel and suites. Upon check in we were notified that we were receiving a complimentary upgrade to our Jacuzzi Suite for our anniversary! This was our fourth visit this summer to the B.W. Lacombe and it has become one of our favourite hotels and min vacation destinations during these pandemic times. Health and safety is a priority at this hotel and we witnessed staff complying with all of the Covid 19 protocols. Check in was smooth and the staff at this hotel are very professional and friendly. My wife and I were impressed with the breakfast that was provided in the morning and we were happy that we were able to book the work-out room. If you are looking to get away on a mini vacation this hotel and the city of Lacombe is an excellent safe destination with great restaurants, sight seeing and friendly people.

We recently booked into the Lacombe Best Western for 4 nights. The staff were all very friendly, professional and happy to help out. With current Covid restrictions, they offered a breakfast in a bag - which was good - not the usual fair - but, just fine. The beds are comfy/cozy, although a bit soft for our liking (thus the very good rating). The rooms are clean and spacious. We booked the pool for a private 1 hour time slot - which was enjoyable. A great stay - great location to tour central Alberta.

This hotel exceeded our expectations as far as cleanliness and staff were concerned. We were met with the nicest ladies at reception and they were very helpful throughout our stay. We are a large family with 6 children and required 2 rooms. We had to change our booking last minute and the hotel staff were very accommodating. While at the hotel, the pool was booked in 1 hour intervals due to Covid19 and you had that time reserved for your family only. This was a great experience. The staff were kind and offered recommendations. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to both Gull Lake and Sylvan Lake. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. I've been raving to my friends about the staff since we've returned home. I would actually book a family getaway again to this quaint small town just because of the amazing staff.

A gorgeous quiet room with comfy beds and a separate room with bunk beds for the kids. Pool was beautiful and the water slide was the highlight for the kids. Breakfast was good with lots of selection. Easy highway access from hotel.

This was my second time at this hotel, and we absolutely love it here. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great breakfast. Pool is great, and very clean. We had a situation with the hotel, however it was handled with a great outcome. Janice the hotel manager is amazing to deal with! A must stay for family or sporting or group events!

If you are going Calgary to Edmonton and don't want to do the whole drive, Lacombe is a lovely place to stop for an overnight stay. This small town is a just off the QE2 and offers a quiet respite. You are far enough from the train that it is only a lovely whistle in the distance. This hotel appears new even though it was built in 2015. The staff are super friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is a notch above with some special additions to the buffet. Reasonably priced as well. We will return. It appears to be a good location if you wanted a family reunion in Central Alberta - a camp ground next door for those who camp and a hotel with a water slide. What more could you ask for?

Friendly staff clean and comfortable room. Nice facility with a large parking lot making it easy to pull in with the trailer. The breakfast was good pretty good I enjoyed the omelet and ham. I will defiantly stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Bice hotel with good service. Fitness center is small but well equipped. Staff is helpful and friendly. Hotel is located outside of the downtown which is a little inconvenient but other than that I would recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable beds. Rooms were quiet. Blinds were extremely room darkening. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Nice breakfast but dont expect access to food past 10 am SHARP. Kids loved the pool. Would stay again!

Grace at the front desk recognizes us either in person or when we phone for a reservation. Clean, quiet and lovely from the front entry to the rooms. Large breakfast room and a great selection. Xmas craft table for the kids at the fireplace in the lobby!

Amazing, clean hotel, friendly staff and very comfortable. Traveled for a ringette tournament, the rooms weer clean, beds were very comfortable and overall quiet. Breakfast had diverse options, typical Best Western buffet.

I found the location of the hotel to be the biggest asset.Reception staff was good but not excellent. Lot of times they didnot even greet when you pass by. Rooms are clean but nothing great about the decor. One negative factor was they wouldn't give even one plastic plate/cutlery upon request. Instead I had to buy it. No other BW I have stayed had this policy.

This was my first stay at Best Western Plus Lacombe and it won't be the last. Everything about the hotel was spot on. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, wifi was good, and overall it's a well maintained, clean and exceptional hotel. The breakfast area is beautiful and the breakfast choices were good, The only problem I encountered was ice in the parking lot. There should have been some sand or salt put down to make the trip from the car to the building safer.

Located in Lacombe this new propos well laid out with a fitness area and very nice breakfast room. We had a meeting in the hotel and the staff were very competent to deal with. Well equipted meeting rooms with comfortable seats.

The hotel looks pretty new, is clean and has good amenities! Our King room was spacious and had a pleasant view. Staff were friendly and the complementary breakfast had lots of variety and was good. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by two issues the staff have obviously given up on dealing with: loud noise by guests and their visitors and smokers. In spite of phoning the front desk to complain at 11:30 pm about the noise it continued until a little past 12:30 am. Part of the problem is the apparent lack of soundproofing material in any walls or ceilings, so noise here is endemic. Second: our floor as well as our room reeked of pot smoke between 9:00 and 10 pm. Again, front desk staff blamed the problem on poor fresh air intake position in the building design. As I said they seemed resigned to the problem as they had heard about the complaints before. Look at the not so flattering reviews of this hotel not only the good ones to get the whole picture.

Great property, well appointed rooms. New and modern with nice bar board features throughout. Good gym facility, along with hot tub, and swimming pool. Staff were friendly and attentative. Decent breakfast spreads daily, not the same thing every morning.

Stayed at the Best Western while attending a square dance jamboree. A great place to stay and sleep after hours of dancing. The staff were always welcoming and upbeat. Forgat my bathing suit so couldn't take advantage of the hot tub.

The rooms were immaculate, the front end staff were amazing and fun to deal with .The pool was clean. The breakfast was well presented and good, but I would of liked to see the breakfast open at 6 on weekends like during the weekdays . Would definitely stay there again .

My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel after returning from a visit with relatives in southern Alberta. We have stayed at numerous 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts and we feel that the Best Western Plus Lacombe Inn & Suites rates right up at the top. In fact, we had stayed at a very nice hotel the previous night in Canmore however, it did not hold a candle to this hotel. Our check in was smooth and quick. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. We requested a quiet upper floor hotel/suite which we received. The hotel in general is very new, is extremely clean and has a luxurious feel to it for the price point. The suite is large and very attractive. Our bed was very comfortable. Great television cable package. We used the pool and work out area which was bright and clean. The staff from the front desk to the kitchen staff at breakfast were very friendly. Our stay was very pleasant and was probably the highlight of our Alberta cross country vacation. In summary, great value, beautiful hotel and friendly staff. We highly recommend that you stay at this hotel the next time that you are in the great Red Deer area!

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities, modern finishings, and great staff. Best place to stay in Lacomb! Waffle maker and waterslide were a nice bonus. The room was huge, tons of space. Also great were the pillows- they were big and fluffy, very comfortable.

Nice clean well-appointed Best Western Plus with great friendly staff about all areas. The problem is that very early Sunday morning the railway freight trains start blowing their whistles somewhere in the Lacombe area and it echoes through the night and keeps one awake. Not a decent sleep and a very negative impact on the hotel. Staff were made aware and 'it does happen'.

Best complimentary breakfast ever. Fresh tomato slices, red, yellow, orange green pepper slices, fresh cucumber slices. Perfect breakfast. The hotel is spotlessly clean hotel. Staff are very thoughtful and considerate.

Great breakfast, friendly staff, good value for the price, quiet room. We enjoyed talking with the cook in the morning and it made a great start to our day. The lobby was nice and clean and we used the lobby to visit with friends.

We love Lacombe and Aspen Beach. We were two ladies and our daughters going on a 2 day get away to the beach. The weather forecast was looking a little rainy during our trip. So we booked this hotel specifically due to the fact it had a pool and waterslide. Kind of a back up plan. We could take the little girls to the pool instead of the beach incase it rained. It rained each day of our trip. The last day we got up early at 6, gave the kids breakfast. we wanted to let em swim the entire day until we headed home. We get told by the front deck the pool is closed. Ok, thats fine...when does it re-open? She replies, " I'm waiting on my manager. " By 11 we finally get told it will open at 1, come back and you guys can swim then. Upset at paying $198.00 a night at this hotel and we cant use the amenities. We asked if we get a discount....manager says no discount but after 1 although you're checked out you guys can use the pool for the day. So Instead of driving back to Edmonton we piddle around Lacombe until 1. get back to the hotel only to be told by the manager the pool is closed for the day. I explained how it was terrible customer service on her behalf to make us pay full rate. Tell us to come back to use the pool instead of giving us a discount when the pool was out of service. I just thought this was ridiculous. The hotel is very beautiful and the bfast ladies are super helpful and sweet. My daughter even got her teddy bear dirty at bfast and Terry helped her clean it. So south out to her.

Can't say enough about the quality of our stay. Front desk staff was accommodating and helpful, rooms and hotel itself were spotless, and beds and ease of controlling room temp were the best I have experienced in a very long time. Possibly the best! Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - the staff in the mornings were super friendly. Would definitely return!

We are a family of 4. Stayed in this hotel for a vacation, and if we could rate it higher then 5 stars we would!! Exceptional service and attention to detail from every team member at this hotel. Breakfast was wonderful every morning! (we stayed 3 nights) Great variety of items, and even gluten free items if you have special diet needs. We enjoyed the pool facility, its not a deep pool, but found that perfect for our kids! Water slide is fast, but fun! Book this hotel for your next trip! You won't regret it!!

We were there for a wedding and encountered a number of issues. The emcee had their room cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the event due to a "business extending their stay". He was not offered any compensation despite their site and emails stating a 72 hour cancellation policy but was only offered the suggestion of a hotel in a completely different city. The suite the bride was using for getting ready the morning of her wedding had not been properly cleaned from the prior guest and there was still food left in the fridge. Finally upon returning home I discovered a $5000 pending charge on my Visa despite being told nothing of this charge on check-in or check-out. I waited a week for it to drop off before contacting the hotel. When I did, I was told that it was a mistake and they had contacted Monaris and there was nothing else they could do about it. I was not informed at any point about the mistake prior to calling them a week later and when I called my bank they told me that they had not been contacted to cancel the charge. The room and facilities themselves were nice, however the customer service we experienced was very frustrating. The general attitude seemed to be "sorry, there's nothing we can do about it". Our other guests which stayed at different hotels/motels in Lacombe experienced much better service so in the future I would stay with one of them.

3 night stay for our sons wedding nearby. Very squeaky door to our room with no maintenance to oil it available! No tea or creamers in room fridge. But staff were friendly with all my requests . Watch out for dirty iron... they fixed the problem though.

This is one of the "BEST" Best Western hotels that I have stayed at. The decor and cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding. The rooms are very clean and the beds and pillows are comfortable. All the staff I encountered were amazing, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was very good and they offered a great variety of hot and fresh food choices. The breakfast area was very clean and organized. The staff always had a friendly greeting; a nice way to start your day. I had stayed at this hotel over a month ago and enjoyed it so much I booked there again when I needed to return to the area. In my travels, and staying at different hotels, I had lost/left some of my jewelry along the way. I was trying to trace my steps to see if I could find it. Upon check-in this recent visit, I asked at the front desk if any jewelry was found; miraculously it was there! This just shows the honesty and integrity of the staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clogged sink was dealt with IMMEDIATELY. We were impressed! Loved the peaceful location, tasty breakfasts, and of course, how friendly and cheerful the staff were. I'd only wish that in a suite designed for up to six people, there would've been a second sink, outside the bathroom.

We stayed 2 nights and beds were very comfortable, rooms large and fresh, clean, friendly staff and great breakfast! Located in a great location. Great little city, people were nice. Trout pond near by with a great big Len Thompson fishing hook on display, it was spectacular.

Good hotel and clean. Employees are good and helpful. The pool and hot tub are nice. The fitness center is a little small but well equipped but no water cooler or water bottle available in the gym or in the hotel.

This BW is top shelf - 5 star and all amenities and comforts are in place for great value. Quiet and yet close to all highway connection to major centers - Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary. Both major airports - YEG and YYC close for easy access. Food and restaurants locations are close by in downtown - 5 minute drive for all shopping and fun. Golf course across the road and easy access off of hwy 2 and east west connection highways.

A quick drive off of Hwy 2 and easy to find. Close to the ball fields and golf course and downtown is minutes away. Great care and service with exceptional hotel, parking, breakfast and super staff. Great location for travel from Calgary to Edmonton or vice versa - stay away from the hustle and traffic of the major centers and close in to the YEG Airport - 30 minutes and a 2 hour drive to Calgary.

We stayed 1 night here on our way west, at the recommendation of a family member. The hotel was very attractive in appearance and our room was great - quiet, very clean, comfortable bed, handy mini fridge and pod based coffee maker, and spacious shower. The breakfast was exceptional - very broad, fresh and hot selection and the hostess was very gracious and welcoming. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

We had 7 adults and 6 children ranging in age from 4 months to grandma. The staff were super accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The continental breakfast was the best I have seen in a hotel. Enjoy your stay we sure did

Weekend stay with friends to experience all the awesome things in Lacombe. This hotel is very nice! Reasonable prices. Nice large and well appointed rooms in modern taste. We did not specifically book it but received a long stay room with a kitchenette, separate bedroom with a door and another room that could easily have been a bedroom but had a desk and chair in it as an office. Also a small living room and fireplace. It was right beside the staff room which must have been the laundry as there was a lot of vibration coming into the room at one point but short lived and not a huge problem. Otherwise the rooms were quiet. Beds comfortable and pillows excellent. Shower was decent as well. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was included but we didn't try it as we had brunch reservations at one of the many excellent places in town.

Front desk lady on check was not helpful and dismissive to our request to be near our firends room. Did not provide any details about the hotel and all the facility offered. The staff member just wanted to process us and move on to next customer. Bad experience.

Staff was overwelmed and were not smiling, or happy to be there. Hot tub and pool continually being closed down during the peak hours. Was told even though we had to tell them that we were elite members we could not have a late checkout but that eventually was turned around. Breakfast was the best part of the weekend because of two staff there that gave exceptional customer service.

Visited BW Lacombe for a sports team event. The hotel is clean, quieter than other hotels in the area , great service and decent price, considering that there was a big demand that weekend. We will come back!

The Best Western Plus in Lacombe is always very clean and comfortable. The staff are great and the breakfast offers so many great options for any appetite. The rooms are fantastic and the beds are very comfortable.

We had a pet friendly room on the main floor with a side door entry, directly out to the pet green space. In Lacombe for a medical visit and the Best Western Plus Lacombe offers a medical rate. Very spacious!

Our room was very good, spotless with a comfortable bed. We were able to open the window and the hotel was in a quiet area of the town. Breakfast was the best we have experienced, and we really enjoyed the hot oatmeal and fruit as well as the regular items. Staff were very helpful.

First, let's start with Grace at the front desk. She coordinated multiple hockey teams staying at the hotel for a tournament, one of them being ours. That is a feat in itself! Families of various sizes needing different room amenities to accommodate their needs: Grace organized everyone with ease and a smile on her face! Our team had two members celebrating birthdays - the staff allowed us to use the breakfast area space to have pizza and cake provided we cleaned up after ourselves. Thank you! But when it came to cleaning up, Grace took our pizza boxes away for us without hesitation. As the party dwindled and some of the adults were all that remained, the staff allowed us to remain in the area to visit one another until nearly midnight. We will assume that it was because we were well behaved, but it was a refreshing change from being chased out of common areas as has occurred in previous experiences. We were grateful to be able to unwind after a long day of hockey. The breakfast was amazing - when I have two picky kids who can find enough to be satisfied, you know the selection is varied and good quality. But what takes this breakfast up a notch is the incredible staff who service it. Elisa is quiet slice of happiness, efficiently making sure that everything is stocked and clean, smiling at customers and acknowledging their presence. Terry is a ray of sunshine in the morning, greeting everyone, cleaning tables, checking in on their stay and their experience, and genuinely positive about having them as customers in the hotel. She is a ball of energy which is seemingly endless as she interacts with customers, both children and adults. She expressed a sincere feeling of disappointment that everyone was leaving, which resonates with us. If and when the opportunity presents itself, we will be back!

The hotel was very busy with a hockey tournament yet I never felt neglected and the hotel was quite at very reasonable hours. I have absolutely no complaints they dealt with everything so well! Breakfast was also amazing for how many people were coming and going! Would definitely recommend

Stay during our visit to Lacombe. Everyone was very accommodating! Very easy to find, upon arrival we took advantage of the near by trail, it was lovely! Service was great room was amazing highly recommend to others!!

Stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The ceremony was nearby in Clive, and the reception was at the hotel. The staff were wonderful. Early checkin went very well, despite a number of changes. They assisted with pitchers of ice water all evening, when asked. Breakfast buffet was better than most included, self-serve breakfasts I've had at similar hotels. Room was comfortable and clean.

The rooms were very sound proof, couldn't here any guests in the halls ever!Karen was wonderful and even let us hang out in the lobby in the evening. Her customer service was amazing!!! The lady who was in during the day on Saturday (not the supervisor) could take a few pointers from Karen, she was rude and when we asked for a plastic spoon she wouldn't give us one and told us she would have to charge us for it.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were comfy and the breakfast was good. None of that mattered because the kids running around sounded like a herd of elephants. Instead of taking responsibility, they had a sign up to remind people of quiet time, so I am not the only person with this comment. Apparently the hotel is 3 years old, so it was constructed when soundproofing technology was around. Inexcusable.

My beautiful wife and I decided to head out to Lacombe and try out the new Bestwestern plus that I noticed a couple months ago on my way through town. It's easy to find in the east side of Lacombe close to the golf course. Lots of parking, and a beautiful new building. Water slide, 24 hour access to the Gym. Hot breakfast and a large breakfast area. We booked the honeymoon suite, jet tub, fireplace, and a very large room. The place was awesome, very modern, very clean, king size bed, amazing pillows. Nice and quiet rooms, we enjoyed every about the place. Not the cheapest rooms, but probably the nicest in town. The local restaurants are a short drive, but not that far. We will probably come back again it was nice to get out of the city and hang out somewhere quiet.

I was told upon arrival and asking to confirm that I had a pet friendly room as requested and they told me I did not and would have to purchase AN ADDITIONAL ROOM for my dog in addition to the $260/night executive suite I had purchased. In total I spent nearly $500 for ONE NIGHT in Lacombe for my daughters high school volleyball tournament and had a roomin the first floor and the fourth floor which was a logistical nightmare when travelling with 4 kids under 15. Poor solution to this problem by BW Lacombe. GM seems to think this was acceptable problem solving and ultimately ‘my fault' because they ‘say' we didn't ask for a pet friendly room, which I did. It's the main reason we chose this hotel, because they accept pets. Very poor effort by uncaring staff and my pockets are a lot lighter for it. The evening was very stressful running back and forth between 4 floors. Just terrible.

The best hotel I stay in on a regular basis with a reasonable price that offers great value! The quality and cleanliness of the rooms is excellent! The bed is confortable the appearance is excellent and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. The breakfast offers many options and is much higher quality then most free breakfasts. The manager is excellent and very personable! A great place to stay!

A nice new hotel, but they are using harsh chemicals/cleaners/or air freshner... Febreeze is high in cancer causing toxic chemicals and it sure smelt like it Aired out the room with the window open for 2 hrs before I could stand it. Aren't they aware of chemical sensitivity, and no need to share toxic chemicals! Nice selection of pillows- but no body lotion... it's dry air in the area, and to not supply small body lotion was a little cheap. Rooms are spacious Can hear the person in the room above you running... so unfortunate in a new build to have noise like this. Breakfast options great! Sausages, scrambled eggs, peppers (make your own breakfast burritos), pancakes, breads, yogurt, cereal .. seems to be something for everyone. Coffee a bit thin for my taste, but the breakfast area is very clean, TVs for news and sports.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks. The staff are friendly and go over and above to make the stay enjoyable. Everything from the free breakfast to the aquatic facility was great. We did not have an issue through our entire stay.

From check in to check out we were given great service. We did have a couple of issues as the hair dryer didn't work and I could not contact the front desk as there was no answer. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful!! I would recommend this Hotel. Great pool area.

Good value for what we paid. More money than others in the area but well worth it will use the facility again for sure. Couple breakfast items were not quite to my liking but we found others to our liking

We stayed here for 2 nights. The pool is great for kids and has a good water slide. The room was clean and very comfortable with a fridge and microwave. There is a playground and skatepark directly behind the hotel. On the Friday morning there was a fantastic farmers market right across the street. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Booked a single queen room while attending a conference and was very happy overall with my stay. It had all the necessities including a hot breakfast which was quick and easy to get in eat and get moving. Had all you can expect from a Best Western in the prairies, they rarely disappoint. Also note there were quite a few places in town to order take out from too.

This hotel is very clean and modern. It's located close to the ball diamonds and golf course. You have easy access to HW2 from there as well. Lacombe is a beautiful little city to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Seventeen rooms we took for a funeral in Lacombe. Had the after tea in conference room. The management were very kind and very accommodating for our needs. Never heard one complaint from family. Breakfast was included and had good variety. The only thing I could find to complain about was that dispenser was almost empty for hair conditioning in shower so had to be conservative on conditioner and had only two towels in my room first night which for two people is not enough as I wrap my hair and one for body. But these little things did not matter as we were treated kindly when that was the important thing in a stressful sad time. They went above and beyond leaving pool open late when some wanted to de stress in the pool.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel is clean. Breakfast was very good nice variety kids loved the decorate pancake breakfast.kitchen staff went above for help. Pool was warm ,hot tub is great close to a playground and skateboard park

This hotel is in a great location,as you can enjoy the Friday Farmers Market. The hotel is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Beds are very comfortable with lots of puffy pillows. The breakfasts were awesome with bacon, Sasauge,pancakes, two different kind of eggs,danish's, fruit and cereals one morning and than make your own waffles, 3 different kind of eggs, wraps, oatmeal with different toppings, ham, coffee/tea and juice. Pool was nice and warm and water slide was awesome. The only thing was could hear people walking around room above at 4:30 am and people in hallway after 10 pm quite hour.

The hotel was clean and the front counter staff were helpful and pleasant ... Not many choices in the breakfast, but it was o.k. The rooms were clean and there is a playground right behind the hotel which was good for the kids to hangout in ...

This place is great. In the small town of Lacombe, this is the place to stay. Super clean rooms. Modern hotel. AWESOME STAFF. If you are looking to golf anywhere near this property, I would recommend here for sure. I stay here even when I am working in Red Deer

I was in Red Deer on work and was required to overnight. There was a convention in town and there wasn't a room to be rented in Red Deer. We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Lacombe. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in every way. The room was great just what we needed. There was a full hot breakfast In the morning. It was a great choice. I would come back and recommend others stay here.

the hotels is very nice, clean and friendly. pet friendly is a HUGE bonus! the rooms are very modern and well taken care of. I would stay here in the future for sure and be sure to check out the cilantro and chive for a good bite to eat!

We enjoyed our stay at this great hotel near the golf course on the west side of town. It is perfect for families as it also near sports fields, plus there's a waterslide at the pool here. It feels larger on the inside, perhaps due to the high ceilings and wide hallways. We can't nail down exactly why, but somehow this contemporary hotel felt slightly "institutional," not quite as warm and homey as some Best Westerns. There was nothing wrong with it, and most families would love the space, amenities and quiet location. Staff were very friendly, the place nice and clean. The breakfast operation was run very well, with extra friendly staff, despite being very, very busy. Our one bedroom suite was great, very very spacious. They had a good selection of TV channels. One specific issue in our room was the high height of the bathroom vanity - we appreciated it, but families with youngsters might not.

Close to Burman University, downtown restaurants, and a gas station right next door. Clean, helpful staff, Good variety for breakfast including vegetarian patty upon request. This was a good base for our participation in the graduation/commencement events of Burman University.

Check in and out was only a few seconds. Lots of easy parking. The staff was extremely helpful and even though I'm sure they felt overwhelm at breakfast time, they were all caring, helpful, smiley and patient with all of us 50+ guest.

Incredibly nice staff, hotel was meticulously clean, facilities were good, food was wonderful, meeting facilities were excellent, and the hotel felt and looked brand new, even though it has been open for 3 years. Would stay there again in a heartbeat...

Stayed here the night before a conference and was so pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable room that looked recently renovated with walk in shower. Excellent bed and everything very clean. The morning breakfast included was excellent as well.

my room was very quiet although the hotel was full I never heard other guests or outside noise, through the evening I felt the room a little cool and turned the heat up later during the night it got quite warm and I got up several times to try to cool down.

Wonderful Staff, Clean and spacious room. Breakfast more than adequate with a little bit for everyone. Unfortunately was unable to try out the pool Maybe next time. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in the area.

A very clean, neat, hotel. Our room was large and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again if we would need a place to stay.

We stayed at this great hotel last weekend and as always we're pleased with the hotel itself. What we weren't pleased with was the noise level from the parents and children in the hallways. Yes it's ok to talk and laugh and carry on in the hallways at a reasonable hour. What's not ok is for parents to be yelling at their children in the hallway at 6:30 in the morning to get their track pants on or to hurry up so they can go to breakfast. By all means have that conversation in your room but you don't need to be yelling down the hallway disturbing other guests. If we did that at 10:00 at night when parents were trying to get their children asleep, then they would be upset and they should be. Try to show some respect for other guests and keep the noise level down in the hallway until a reasonable time. Be respectful of others!

The kids loved the pool and water slide. The breakfast was great for the kids. Rooms clean. The banquet room was large and they didn't bother us while we used it. The noise didn't bother anyone because the room was not close to any guest rooms. Great team experience. Thank you.

I stayed here overnight in a room with a sofa. It seemed brand new and sparkling clean. The lobby is welcoming with a nice sitting area adjacent to the breakfast buffet. The hotel is large with 4 floors and elevators. The decor is modern with a tv you could turn for viewing in our extra large room. The usual toiletries are supplied, except hand lotion. This saves on the wasteful plastic bottles because shampoo and conditioner is mounted in the tub area. I rated it 5 because it's the nicest Best Western I've stayed in.

We stay here 3 times a year for business (1-2 weeks each time). The hotel is clean and modern. We always get upgraded and are so pleased with our room on the fourth floor. The room has a kitchenette, which is nicely stocked with everything you need to make a meal. The breakfast ladies are so nice and friendly.

Stayed here for a business trip with a group. Grace at the front desk was really good upon checking in. Great recommendations for restaurants and let us know about a hockey team staying on our floor. She recognized my diamond membership status and provided an upgrade. Rooms were very clean, roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Sausages were very yummy. The ladies working the breakfast area were super friendly and kept everything clean and supplied. Definitely recommend staying here!!

I usually stay in Marriotts so did not know what to expect of this BW in such a small city. I didn't need to worry, this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were big and clean with a microwave (which was fantastic) and I even went down the water slide once or twice.

Over the past year I have stayed At the Best Western Plus many times for business. I highly recommend the Best Western for a place to stay when you are in Lacombe. By far the nicest hotel in a huge proximity of Lacombe. The building is only a couple of years old so the rooms are fresh and clean and modern. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The staff are very friendly and go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. The hotel has a pool with a water slide and a big hot tub. All rooms have a TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine and very fast WiFi. Lots of free parking is available on site. The Breakfast buffet is included with your room rates and it changes on a daily basis. The breakfast has a combination of hot foods and baked goods. If you are staying in Lacombe or nearby towns, don't bother looking anywhere else. This is the nicest hotel in the area.

We hosted our second family Christmas function at this hotel on Jan 6/7 2018. We had a wonderful stay last year and everyone voted to return again!! This year again was outstanding service! We also choose to use the in house caterer, Wendy, and we had a wonderful supper for 21 people with far more food than we could eat!! The price was definitely worth it!! I am very confident that we will be returning again! Thanks again to Sam for answering all my questions and accommodating all our group room requests!!!

There was no complaints about this hotel. The staff were great, and the food was good. The hotel was very clean, it had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. It was minus 41 when we stayed there, but having the plug in for our vehicle was an absolute bonus. We had no problem starting our truck to tour around the area.

We learned this hotel is 2 years old and is still in excellent shape as it should be for being so new. We had very friendly & helpful staff at check in as well as on check out. Our room was a good size with comfortable bed & lots of pillows. All the amenities were in good working order. Th fitness centre had a nice selection of work out equipment as well as the balls & barbells which you don't often find at other BW's. The breakfast room was bright with lots of seating. The food selections were quite adequate for our needs. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to stay in Lacombe whether it be overnight or an extended period.

Good hotel, nice room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Quiet at night, so had a good sleep. No surprises, which is good on a business trip. The hotel is brand new; in fact the road it's on wasn't even on my GPS. Didn't use the pool or weight room but they looked nice.

Best family hotel. Super comfortable, clean, family friendly. Our destination for short getaways. Fantastic and delicious breakfasts, swimming pool is just a paradise for the kids, slide, hot tub. We love every bit of it

great stay...the best in a long time would recommend staying there anytime, infact we might just for the fun of it again there was a huge team of football players staying there , but you would never guess the amount of people there handled so well

This is the second time I have stayed at this property this year and would highly recommend this venue. The hotel staff are extremely pleasant and professional and the rooms are quite spacious. Very impressed with the breakfast as there are many items both and hot to satisfy one's morning hunger.

The following staff Mike, Samantha, Jolene, Celeste, Grace and Jacquie made our stay so enjoyable. We had car problems which they solved by taking us to and from our appointments. We appreciated their caring and helpfulness. They went over the call of duty and we take our hats off to them. A bouquet to the staff as they surely deserve it. I would highly recommend the Best Western Plus at Lacombe. Alberta.

My issues with this hotel began before I even arrived. I called five days before arrival to cancel my second night as we had not been scheduled to play on Sunday. I was told I could not cancel and it was a two night minimum to get our group rate. I spoke to a few people and was told they discussed it and would not be able to cancel my second night. By the way, I could get the same rate myself online through the website (AMA rate) so this so-called great rate we were getting was not that great. So basically they could cancel for me but had a little convo and decided no. So that was nice to hear. They were unsympathetic, unhelpful and inflexible. Because we were part of a group when I booked this stay I called the hotel direct and spoke to an actual human who at no point told me about a minimum stay or not being able to cancel. Not one single word. Had I just booked myself online I would have had no issues cancelling my second night. I have multiple kids on sports teams and have never encountered this before. I have been on many team trips. We left Saturday afternoon so I ended up paying for a room I was not even in Saturday night. So my one night stay in a very average room with a crappy breakfast ran me about $350. I could have spent a night at the Banff Springs Hotel for that. I spend on average 6-7 weeks a year in hotels. I am done with Best Western chain. My last experience was awful too. And I am not terribly hard to please. I'm not that fussy. The hotel itself is fine. Rooms are average. Beds are comfy. Pool is ok. The lady I encountered working the breakfast was super rude. The breakfast was not great. We have another tournament for another kid of mine coming up and we were going to stay at a best western. We will be staying elsewhere. Oh, and the hotel was not fully booked (I checked online and rooms were available) so I don't get why cancelling was such a huge issue. I finally got a response from my email to best western customer care today. They apologized for the delay and that they were dealing with a high volume of emails... not shocking.

100% would not reccomend this hotel. Staff was unhelpful and at times rude. Other guests were rude and completely unaware of noise limits. 1 am wake up by unacceptable noise by room above made stay completely terrible. Would have gotten a better sleep in my vehicle in the parking lot.

This hotel is overall the best hotel our team has stayed in! Spotless, beautiful interior & exterior, comfy beds and super friendly, efficient staff. The included breakfast was great and the team enjoyed the pool & waterslide in their downtime. The cost wa a bit higher than the rest of the Lacombe hotels but the hotel is also much better quality than the others! Highly recommend this hotel!

This was my third visit here, always staying for the work week to attend meetings. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The complementary breakfast has a good variety although, more fresh fruit would be nice. The staff is always friendly and ready to look after your requests. I will be back.

We stayed here for 2 nights. This hotel is extremely clean and very spacious suites for a family with kids. We had an issue with our refrigerator which didn't work properly. Front desk indicated she she was coming up to look at it, and never showed up. Wasn't a big issue as we had brought a cooler with us. Overall, our stay was excellent.

Our team stayed in this hotel and my experience was terrible. Staff was rude, rooms were not cleaned daily, pool towels have to be signed out and are charged back to the room if missing yet kids in the pool kept leaving with towels that were not theirs. Coffee cups are not available for coffee. Our room had a terrible odor and occasionally smelt like it was on fire. I expressed all these concerns to staff and they were not addressed

Stayed at the Lacombe Best WesternPlus Inn & Suites this past week with my family of four-- two adults and 2 kids. We were thrilled to be unexpectedly upgraded to a bunk bed suite upon check in and this tired momma really appreciated it! The kids enjoyed the pool and waterslide as always and the room was very clean and modern with comfy mattresses and amazing pillows. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast the morning as well. The Best Western Plus hotels alway offer consistently good service and value for your stay. I would highly recommend.

We were getting renovations done and they lasted a little longer than expected. We were there for about 60 days and began to feel like part of the family. Great place. Very professional staff. We are returning again due to additional renovation glitches.

Very nice hotel, kids loved the pool and breakfast was excellent, more than your typical hotel breakfast offering. Staff was very open & welcoming to our hockey team. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Lacombe area.

My first time at this hotel since it opened. I am very happy with my experience at this Best Western. This hotel had one of the best breakfast presentations I have seen. Fresh food, hot, well organized and stocked up. I would recommend this hotel.

Highly recomend this hotel if staying in or near Lacombe, AB. Good value for the dollar. Didn't get a chance to use the pool and slide but had a look and it looked great. Also a very nice selection of food and drinks for the breakfast.

We had never stayed here before, but our children and grandchildren did. We drove out of our way to stay here and it was worth it. The rooms were wonderful, beds comfortable and everything nice and clean. We didn't try the pool, but I hear it was really great. I loved the breakfast. We had cheese omelettes and hash brown patties plus everything else, including fresh fruit.

The breakfast is very good - the pool has a hot-tub and a waterslide. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only difficulty encountered was that twice the elevator doors would not close rendering the elevator inoperable. The rooms are spacious, parking is plentiful, and things are clean and neat.

Very clean, staff was pleasant and friendly. The beds were fairly comfy and the bedding was fresh and clean. The pool included a slide that was a hit for the kids and most importantly it was CLEAN! The morning breakfast was not just your usual continental, it included hot items and a fairly good variety of cold items making it possible to find something to have no matter if you're a big breakfast eater or small. For the price the value measured up and I would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here for the first time as we were visiting family. This hotel is brand new, and was a very nice hotel. The king bed was very comfortable and it was very nicely decorated in the room with a sitting area, nice free coffee maker machine, and small mini fridge as well as microwave. The pool with water slide was amazing. Our grandkids came over and just loved it. Breakfast was good, and good selection of hot and cold foods. Ice machines were only on alternate floors, so a little inconvienant.

Hotel was clean and the staff where very nice. The pool and hot tub where great. Would recommend staying here if you have children. The pool will keep them occupied for hours. The breakfast in the morning is one of the better ones I've had at any hotel chain.

Excellent Overall - the hotel was clean, neat and stylish. The service was excellent; I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for any future stays. The location was far enough off the highway that we heard absolutely no road noise or other noises; extremely quiet location.

We stayed here recently for an event that was happening down the road in Ponoka. Check in was very friendly and easy. We had very few concerns during our stay, although we did have some noise from above in the hallway, that was immediately rectified by the staff at the front desk, they even called me back to indicate they would continue to monitor that specific hallway for noise and other complaints, which was a nice touch. The daily breakfast offering is fairly typical, with some variation from day to day. Would be nice to have the juice / water machine available throughout the day for guests. My one minor complaint would be the fitness room, there were only 2 of us attempting to do a workout, based on the floor with mats, etc but we barely had enough room to do this, and it was only after moving some equipment around. With so much space in the remainder of the hotel, it is a shame that this was overlooked during construction. The kids enjoyed the pool, no complaints there. Thanks for a great stay, and friendly hospitality.

Located on highway 12 on road into Lacombe. Park behind hotel. Good place for kids with pool and water slide and playground in park. Hotel rooms are clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was average and par for what you usually get at Best Westerns. Staff were friendly and comfortable. A little high on the price side when I stayed but quiet and somewhere I would go back to.

I spent the weekend at the Best Western Lacombe with my extended family and was extremely impressed. The lobby is gracious; the parking easy; there are even two places available where you can charge an electric car; the staff very friendly and helpful; making and checking on my reservation was easy; the self-serve complimentary breakfast was excellent with a good selection of hot and cold items and I especially liked that breakfast was set up in a nice roomy space; there is a small shop in the lobby with essentials for sale; coffee is available all day in the lobby; the bedrooms were very nicely appointed, spacious and best of all, very clean; there was a fridge and coffee maker; the beds were comfy; the linens nice ( I do have to complain that the pillows were way too big! Why are hotels these days all supplying pillows the size of bolsters?); there was lots of hot water; I appreciated that there was a separate fan in the bathroom; the temperature controls for the room were easy to figure out; the television was not only a very good set but there is really clear explanation of how the system works, so we didn't have to spend 15 frustrating minutes trying to figure out how to watch the tv! (Special kudos for that!); the bedroom window opened; the blackout curtains were good; it is a very quiet location; the hotel is just on the outskirts of town but still within 15 minutes walking distance of the town centre; there is s huge skate park and play area adjacent to the hotel; across the road is a park and dog park; next to the parking lot is a gas station with a small convenience store; the hotel itself has a pool and water slide. It was an extremely comfortable stay. We'll be back.

The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was a good quality king size, there was very little noise and there was a good variety at breakfast. The room was a standard king and came with a sofa, coffee table and chair. It was easy to connect to their wifi.

My three adult children & I traveled to my former childhood home. We had anticipated staying in a different motel but left there after 20 minutes and were delight to discover this lodging which fit ALL our requirements. Two adjoining rooms, great beds, good breakfast, accommodating staff, WiFi availability, Quiet & comfortable for out 5 day stay. Could not ask for anything better. Great walking availability in the area.

Hotel was very clean and we had a very lovely stay. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to get together with family in lounge and enjoyed the surroundings immensely.

Very nice and Modern rooms, staff very friendly. Not much for services no room service or even robes but everything else was great. Breakfast is amazing there, you can make your own waffles, lots of variety for everyone.

I was staying for my nieces wedding. We had the dinner here on Saturday night and an open house on Sunday. The hotel itself was really, well laid out. My room was great and very comfortable. The dinner was really nice. We had Potato Soup to start that was fantastic. The open house the next day was great as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

we stayed last year in a Bestwestern in Mesa,Arizona and were very displeased as it did not compare to the one in Lacombe,Ab It was uncomfortable,very messy. We found hair lying around in the tub and on the bed, from the cleaning staff. The fridge did not work and the couch was so uncomfortable. We would not recommend this to anyone. The first thing is the key did not work for the room so we swithced rooms and the floor had water all over from leaking toilet, Finally got a room that was better but not clean needed lots of upgradeing.

Purpose of our trip was a family event. Rather then driving home 1 1/2 hour late at night decided to book accomadation for the night. We had a very positive experience staying at this hotel. Would strongly recommend this location. In fact I already have.

We stayed here while at a golf tournament. The hotel is clean and it was quiet. The staff is incredibly friendly and the breakfast was above average for a "free" breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed twice last year, and other relatives stayed this year. It's very new and modern, with generously-sized rooms containing fridges and microwaves and comfy beds. We enjoyed rooms overlooking a leafy park. There's a decent continental spread for breakfast, including a do-it-yourself waffle maker which everyone seemed to love. Disappointingly, all the dishes and cutlery are disposable paper and plastic, even the cups and coffee pods in the rooms. They're unpleasant to use and must generate an enormous amount of garbage. I was debating removing a star for this alone, but the excellent service balanced it back. The service was friendly and professional all around, but the staff shone this past time. My uncle from abroad took seriously ill suddenly and was hospitalized. The staff went out of their way to ensure that he and his wife had continued accommodation, endured a small barrage of calls to the room, and even helped them send a fax or two abroad at 3am to sort out the travel insurance!

We had stayed here before. Loved it. This time there were 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children. The kids loved the waterslides. We all enjoyed the big breakfast. The rooms are big and comfy. Beds were great.

We/I come to Lacombe to visit family but like our privacy and routines. Staying with the BW Plus Lacombe gives us that! The staff are what make this place what it is. The style and cleanliness are a bonus.

Stayed recently with our daughters and grandkids. Had a good selection of rooms that let us select two different types to best meet our needs. Kids loved the pool and waterslide. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Would certainly stay there again.

Best Western charges patrons for the basic necessities that other hotels still include in their room rentals. Four of us were caught off guard while riding our Harley's during a day trip. We were forced to stop in Lacombe & get two rooms for the night. The hotel & staff were great, but seeing as we were not prepared for an overnighter, we were stunned to discover that if we required lotion & mouthwash, we would have to pay $3.00 each for a tiny bottle!!! We were NOT impressed & would not book with a Best Western in the future, knowing that the simple necessities are no longer included in the $180+ room fee.

I called this hotel in March of 2017 to block off rooms for my guests for my upcoming wedding in September, the lady I spoke with who coordinates weddings said the block was put on and I would receive an email with the information in regards to the room and that was the end of the conversation. As a few weeks passed and I had not received the email I called the hotel back in the evening and the staff member there wasn't sure how to help me and took my name and number. I didn't receive a call at all, so a few weeks later I called again and the EXACT SAME THING, nobody could deal with my request and no call back. I assumed everything was okay as the hotel didn't feel the urgency to give me a call. Fast forward to the last two months and I have guests of my wedding calling me saying there are no available rooms to book and they are being turned away. At this point I just directly went to the hotel. I must say that who ever the girl working the front was a champ( I will give her 5 starts as she was AMAZING), BUT when she told me the news that the block came off early(45 days in advance and I was NEVER TOLD THIS EVER) and that I only had 4 people booked under me and I had mentioned that my guests were trying to book and being turned away when mentioning my name. She also told me that this hotel in particular does not like to take wedding blocks and it would be something they are phasing out next year. She assured me that there were rooms still available but that they wouldn't be entitled to the discount the original employee told me about ( I think the hotel should hold up their end of the discount since they dropped the ball here) and told me that the original lady I spoke with had been let go shortly after me blocking off my rooms, don't you think the hotel should have notified all wedding parties that their coordinator has since been let go? Anyways, the girl at the front explained to me the situation and how the blocks worked but unfortunately it was too late and now I have to make a list of all my guests as no one was put under my block prior to the cut off. It's unfortunate that my family is booking majority of the rooms at this hotel for the weekend and right before our wedding we are required to make a list of all our guests and only certain ones will be getting a discount. You are better off staying in Red Deer with a hotel that wants your business. The worst part is that we haven't even stayed here yet, I hope the stay is better than the service we have been getting just by talking to the people who work there.

Family members travelling to our nephews wedding. The staff at this Best Western were very accommodating to all of our requests. The staff is very pleasant and professional. We all said we definitely would stay here again. Accommodations top notch.

Stayed at this hotel while attending the Bentley rodeo, very central location, lots to do in the area. Hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff very friendly, and more than willing to help, or answer any questions.

This is a new hotel that is well maintained and cared for. Everything was clean and fresh. The location is very accessible to a major hwy, although you do not hear the hwy traffic at all as it is located approx 1.5 km from the hwy. The complimentary continental breakfast offered a good selection.

A big town hotel in small town Lacombe. Modern and clean its always a safe bet for a stay. I've always found it quiet and well run. The breakfast setup was ok but nothing special. Location is on edge of town so pretty quiet

This hotel is comfortable, clean and best of all the staff is very polite and caring . Breakfast was very good, and the front desk staff were very good at explaining where to go for supper and with other directions. We would stay here again if we were to return to Lacombe.

Perfect for family. 2 room suites with bunk beds - very affordable creating perfect set up for families with kids. We were very happy with everything at the Lacombe BW. Bed and pillows are amazing, room was very nicely equipped, TV is a good size, breakfast was very good with lots of variety. staff was helpful and friendly. Way to go Best Western!

Very nice new hotel. Great pool with slide as well as a nice fitness room. Great breakfast served daily. No restaurant nearby or within walking distance but there is a super RV park and playground next door as well as a skateboard park within it. Amazing ball parks right across the street. I would definitely stay there again.

We had an issue with the price we were quoted and what was charged, and the manager was too busy to talk to me about the matter. I had another employee tell me this and my bill did not get changed. Brutal customer service

Right off the highway, newly renovated, breakfast included, waterslide for the kids, park nearby. Would definitely stay there again. Hotel offers late check-out for a reasonable fee which we took advantage of.

I was in Canada, booking a Canadian hotel. Website I called on was actually "reservations.com" so instead of dealing with the hotel,I was dealing with an American company called Expedia. I incurred rate, tax and service charges in American funds, which was $93 more for two nights, than if I had actually talked to the hotel directly. I was also lied to about the regular cost of the room at regular price, which seems like a scam to get me to accept their so called low price. At no time did The reservation person disclose that I was talking to Expedia, a service company. Like I say, "Extremely disappointed" with booking arrangements that were very costly!

We love staying at Best Western hotels. The are top notch, clean, and most importantly the beds are comfortable. The pillows were great... not to thick -just right. When defiantly go back. Had a great family room for a good price

Our stay was quite comfortable . We were treated very warmly and friendly . Our TV did not work 1 st nite and we were quickly transferred to another room . I needed freezer pks kept frozen overnite and the staff were very accomadating to help us out .Smiles were plentiful which helped My hubby & I as My mother had passed away 1 st nite we were staying there and we had 4 day trade show ahead of us to get through. Very much appreciated . TY to all who treated us so well .

Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We stay in a suite. While a bit pricey, we felt overall it was worth it. We travelled with our two adult daughters and four adults in a regular room is very tight but the suite allowed the extra room needed. The only thing that could of made it better would have been a another well lit work space for the ladies to do their hair and makeup.

Attended a wedding in Lacombe and they allowed family to check in early to get ready for the wedding. Staff was friendly and accommodated my elderly mother with checking in. Very nice breakfast area and good food.

Newer hotel with all the amenities with free hot breakfast, pool, exercise room, etc. The hotel staff were very accommodating, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for the thrifty traveler. The hotel is near Alberta Hwy 2 linking Calgary to Edmonton but still very quiet, no street noise.

No restaurants near the hotel Fridge in room had no freezer Not set up for our crew on the night shift for cleaning but they did a great job acomidateing us by opening the restaurant early for our day shift guys

The check-in experience was friendly, helpful and fast. Our room was one of the largest we have ever had in a hotel with lots of lights, plugs and amenities. Breakfast was adequate. Nice area to be in.

We had a spacious king room and were glad to see the bathroom offered a little more space than some. We were very comfortable, slept well, ate breakfast, and did our laundry along with seeing family and friends in town. It was a great stay!

Last time I stayed in Lacombe I did not know this hotel existed. It is a perfect spot for a walk with a park right beside the hotel, if you have children and a sports field. Close to downtown, you can walk there.

This hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. It's a little more money that one would expect to pay in a small town in rural Alberta, but I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a King suite as it was a last-minute booking made when our other accommodation fell-through. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were well-trained, empathetic and efficient.

Nice new hotel in Lacombe with great service and modern decor. Breakfast included made for efficient mornings getting out the door. Excellent location for a baseball tournament (diamonds across the street). Short drive to the quaint downtown.

The room was very nice and clean however lacked the extras, such a good toiletries. There was soap but it made my skin feel sticky after being rinsed off thoroughly. Also, no lotion. The bed was too soft for my liking and the pillows were huge which made me feel like my neck was stretched the whole night. My husband felt the same way. So what should have been a wonderful sleep in a nice big king size was actually restless. The pool area is great for families as it has a water slide however on the particular night it was not good for a relaxing soak in the over cramped hot tub. The staff was generally very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good as it includes hot and cold options. I would stay again but now I have lower expectations.

We stayed at this location over 2 nights for a wedding. We stayed at this property as they advertised at "pet friendly", this statement proved otherwise. Front of house staff presented us with an extensive list of "rules" surrounding their pet policy. These included, but not limited to "pets not to be left alone in the room", "pets not allowed on beds/furniture", these are 2 of a list of 10 items on the list of pet rules. The pet fee was listed as $20/night with a max of 2 pets totaling 80 lbs. Upon checkout, the facility wanted to charge $20 PER PET, PER NIGHT! Staff was unapproachable, and had poor attitudes towards this issue. It appeared that they did not wish to help. Furthermore. We received three, that's correct THREE calls while we were away at the wedding informing us that the dogs were barking. This was during the day and not during quiet hours. I do not see how our dogs barking is any different then children running about or being loud in the rooms (which we experienced). Now the facility is not all bad. We would rate the facility it self as 5 stars The property is new. The "pet friendly" rooms are all near exits and contain hard surface flooring throughout. Rooms are larger and well appointed. The facility has a decent sized pool with water slide and a hot tub. That being said, the pool was cold and spa was warm at best. However, another party member stated that they were having pump issues with the pool and could not heat it. Breakfast was good with a rotating menu. There is also a coin laundry facility which works well (did one load). Cost $4 per load (wash/dry) Upon checkout, we were charged extra for our room as staff told us that the rooms were booked at two different times (which they were not) yet the cost of both rooms had increased by $9 per night. In closing, we hope that this was a "one off" experience. NOTE: Of all the properties we have stayed at. This was the one and only that had a designated "bathroom" area for pets, complete with lawn, garbage and poop bags.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and it is a great place to stay in central Alberta. Located just of the main highway between Edmonton and Calgary and just 15 minutes from Red Deer it is a great place to stay. Excellent gym with a pool, hot-tub and a water-slide. The breakfast is great with many choices for guests. i would highly recommend.

Clean, friendly, helpful, relaxing. Great service and fabulous breakfast included. I would recommend this as the only place to stay on Lacombe. They also coordinated out golf tee times and booking at Lacombe Golf & CC, one payment took care of it all

This is a great hotel for families with young kids as there is a skate park and playground just behind it. Hotel was clean and room was impressive . Breakfast had a great variety for all . Staff were friendly , pool was fun and the slide was an added bonus

Wonderful stay from the food to the rooms to the professional staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room cleaned well by the time I returned. The breakfast is always a wonderful experience and the town has several eateries to provide you with several options for other meals.

Everything about this hotel is 5 star. Welcoming Staff (Lisa), wonderful breakfast, excellent beds and pillows. For those travelling with young families, there's even a terrific playground behind the hotel to let the kids let off steam after a day of travel. Thank you for making us feel right at home.

I am a business traveler and found that the location of this property made sense for me to try on my last work trip through the area. This hotel has everything that I look for when traveling for work, with beds that are comfortable, rooms that are spacious, Wi-Fi that works great and TV's that are equipped with HD channels. There was nothing that set this property apart from what I have come to expect from the Best Western brand, which isn't to say that it's not a good place to stay. If you want a quality room, 15 minutes north of Red Deer, than this is your place. The lone complaint that I had is when I went for breakfast, they were out of a couple of the hot items. I understand that it is tough to know how many people are going to be in the breakfast room at one time and not waste food, but I think whoever is in charge of this aspect should take a trip down to the Best Western Plus Service Inn in Lethbridge and see what a "complimentary breakfast" is capable of being. It's not often that I am in Lacombe, but if I find myself in need of a room here again, I won't hesitate to come back.

Excellent very down to earth staff. Treat you like good friends (or relatives they like) Breakfast is very good - varies daily & staff are attentive, friendly & patient. Nice views from rooms at back. Hours of walking trails, skateboard park, horseshoe pits, playground water slide - great for families.

As a member of the Board of Trustees at Burman University it has been my pleasure to stay at Best Western. The hotel is new, clean and I really appreciate the kind and helpful staff. It has now been 30 years since I graduated from Burman with my B.A. degree and every time I go back I am amazed at the growth of the city. It truly is amazing!

We go to Lacombe a couple time a year to visit my husbands elderly parents who live in the Lacombe seniors lodge. It is so nice to have a nice place to stay when we come to Lacombe. the only negative thing I can say about this property is the breakfast closes at 9am. It would be nice if it was open till at least10am. The staff has always been helpful, professional, and friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Our rooms are always clean and comfortable. We have used their onsite laundry room which is so handy when on extended stays. For years, if you wanted a clean comfortable hotel with all amenities you had to stay in Red Deer. it is so nice to have the Best Western in Lacombe now.

This hotel has everything you could ask for....clean, modern, well equipped. Staff very helpful. Very good hot breakfast was everything you could ask for. Rooms have microwave and fridge. Located on outskirts of Lacombe.

Came to Lacombe for a night and had a wonderful stay. The bed was heavenly! We had a wonderful nap, enjoyed a hot tub and slept like babies. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. Such a wonderful stay!

Very satisfied with this hotel. A nice new property with all of the amenities. Would be nicer if it was closer to restaurants. Otherwise everything else is perfect. Breakfast was excellent and the kids had a fantastic time in the pool and on the waterslide! Highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Lacombe area.

We had a great night. The tub comfortably fit a couple. There were four king size pillows on the bed and we had a wonderful sleep. The fireplace reflected off of the ceiling. It was romantic. Comfortable. Affordable. The hot breakfast was delicious with tons of options.

Nice new hotel, great continental breakfast with a large seating area and great variety of food. Fresh coffee at the front desk 24/7 with real cream was appreciated. The hotel was really beautifully decorated in Alberta "themed" photos which I thought was really nice.

Very nice hotel, looks very new, neat and tidy. We only used a conference room and it was well set up and easy to use. parking is ample and access is easy. On edge of city so will need to drive to get most places, convenience store, liquor store within walking distance

I don't understand why hotels still put bathtubs in most of their rooms and was thrilled that this hotel had a large walk-in shower in my room. Room was a great size and well appointed. Breakfast was included and was decent. Bed was very comfortable with fantastic pillows. If you need to stay in Lacombe this is the place to stay.

as a team staying here all was good, short on breakfast food they did ask what time we wanted breakfast to insure they had it hot and ready and enough. But came up short on that. We also asked for a social room and they were going to charge us for this and i think that is crazy when u book that many rooms, this should b included.Staff was nice and room are clean.

WONDERFUL! From the moment we walked through the door we were never disappointed. Everything is so clean, the room is large and beautiful, the beds are very comfortable and the pillows are great. The complimentary breakfast is fantastic with both hot and cold dishes and lots of variety. The pool, slide and jacuzzi are clean and inviting. Very nice lobby as well. We have one more night here and don't want to leave. Great experience!

Stayed one night at the hotel, and is very satisfied with the stay. Nothing fancy, but everything you need delivered in a proper way. Coffe, fridge and iron at the room. Large clean room with good airconditioning and decent bed. Good internet and free parking just outside. Breakfast is my only objection, with quite unhealthy content. White bread with jam, waffles and granola. It works for a day though, and the price is fair for what you get!

Stayed at this hotel last weekend and was impressed with the quality of care and the very pleasant persons who are employed here. We booked a number of rooms for all our family members and each of us were impressed with the quality of the rooms and the absolute cleanliness of each room. What an attention to detail. The only downside was during our breakfast. We had a baby with us who required a high chair however the hotel only has one and for some reason it had been given to a guest to have in their room. This does no good for others who require it in the dining room. Suggest the hotel get more than one high chair. Also two of the family members sitting at two different tables found long black hair in their eggs. None of our family members have black hair. We did notice that wait staff who are replenishing the food have their hair loose and would suggest that possibly a hair net be used. It was a definite turn off and none of us could eat the breakfast after finding this. On the whole a great place to stay but don't eat the breakfast!

Staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you. Room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and inviting. Full hot and cold breakfast was included, which made it convenient not to have to go out of the hotel. Dining room has nice decor and plenty of seating in a spacious, comfortable inviting. Good selection of breakfast items for everyone.

This is a beautifully developed hotel with all the amenities you need. Great breakfast including hot options not just a cold continental. Staff were exceptional. It has a swimming pool and a good fitness centre. My room had a full double shower with no tub which is a great option. I would recommend this for all travellers including families.

We were camping near Lacombe (in a tent) with our dog and 2 year old son. One of the nights, the kid started feeling off and a storm started rolling in. Our dog is terrified of storms and we thought "let's give him lots and lots of cuddles and ride it out". Then the kid started puking. Everywhere. On the tent walls, on us, in our bags, on the beds. Poor little guy. So we called Best Western because we saw they were pet friendly. The manager on duty was a former nurse and she not only helped us out in terms of what to watch out for our son, she told us where the pharmacy was, mopped up after he threw up all over the room (for the last time, didn't have anything left in him), put a garbage bag on the mattress "just in case" and gave us a bunch of extra towels. Oh, and brought us a dog bed. We were so very grateful and still talk about how they saved our butts that night. The beds were very comfy and there's a green space to take your dog, they provide poo bags. Thank you SO much guys!

We stayed for a week while my son was at hockey camp, the staff was all friendly and very helpful! I only had one slight problem while we were there and it was quickly solved. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The pool was a lot of fun for my kids and the breakfast was delicious!

The hotel itself is in pristine condition, the receptionist was welcoming, caring and engaging, showing concern and care of me personally. I listened, also, as she handled a call from a customer with a concern and I respected her genuine concern for the customer's satisfaction. Check in was pleasant and then I went to my room which was a DELIGHTFUL surprise. The room was very spacious, spotless (and I always notice), modern, sleek, with EXCELLENT quality furniture throughout the room. Looked more like a lovely boutique hotel. Breakfast was AMAZiNGLY good, with a really nice variety of healthy and fun foods/drinks. Every single staff member I spoke to was as kind and attentive as the one before. THANK YOU to all, especially Jill at Front Desk check in, for making my stay really really lovely. I hope to go back really soon!

We stayed here for five nights to visit family in the area and were very happy. This hotel is new, very clean and pleasantly decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the fitness facilities. This is an excellent place to stay if you are in the area.

My husband, two children and I decided to extend our stay in the Lacombe/Gull Lake area an extra day. Although we've never stayed at this hotel before our past experience with other Lacombe "hotels" made the new Best Western our one and only choice. I called the hotel directly who immediately reserved our room with what we needed and at a decent price. We stayed on the fourth floor in a two-bedroom one bath suite which has a beautiful kitchen with dining room, full fridge, Keurig, cooktop and all the kitchen essentials, living room area with large screen TV, and HDTV's in both bedrooms. The parking lot is spacious, thankfully, since we had two trucks, a trailer and boat. Upon check-in we were treated like family with very friendly and professional front desk service from the staff. Our rooms were clean, well-lit, spacious and comfortable. The beds were super-soft with many pillows and cozy blankets...plus large windows that actually open! There is a fantastic outdoor playground, skate park and scooter park right behind the hotel. In front of the hotel is a convenience store, gas station and a liquor store one min walk away. The Lacombe Golf Course is directly across the hwy. The pool and waterslide are fantastic. Clean. Good temperature, and nice hot tub. The Fitness Centre has all new machines and modern equipment. Next morning went down for the Complimentary breakfast. It was above average fare - one could get coffee, muffins, bagels, juices, cereal, waffles, cin buns, scrambled eggs, sausage, English muffins, yogurt, fruit, toast, pastry's... This is the only hotel we would ever consider staying at again in Lacombe. I sincerely hope the management/owners and staff will maintain the high level of service, cleanliness and maintenance of this property since it is far above par the other hotels/motels in Lacombe and really a much awaited and welcomed gem.

What a beautiful, new, clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only neg. was the refrigerator in the room was buzzing too loudly, and we had to unplug it to get to sleep. Everything else was wonderful! Would highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was very new, clean and quiet. The room layout was very good with plenty of room for four people. Was very surprised to discover the kitchen in our room. The pool and slide was awesome. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely awesome and far above expectations in variety and quality of food. The staff were very helpful. This is a wonderful addition to Lacombe where other hotels are far less appealing. A beautiful hotel, well laid with wide hallways, large rooms and excellent amenities. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was very good.

Our stay in Lacombe was for a wedding and we had such an awesome time!! The town of Lacombe is great the Big Red Barn where Curtis and Nicole got married was awesome and the Hotel catered to all of us as it was somewhat of a destination wedding with none of us being from Lacombe. Loved the staff, the facility, and just the time with family again!!

This was the third time we have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Lacombe. The rooms are of a high quality. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Continental breakfast is great. We will be back and would recommend this hotel for your next trip to Lacombe..

My main priority when staying at any hotel is cleanliness and quietness. We found this hotel to be nice and clean and quiet with friendly staff. It is definitely one of the best Best Western Hotels that we have stayed at and would most definitely recommend it to friends and family. If we are ever back in Lacombe, it will definitely be the hotel that we will make our reservations at. We just hope that the cleaning staff maintains their level of cleanliness and friendliness. We had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western in Lacombe for the May long weekend. We had 5 lacrosse teams of multiple ages and their families. The hotel was extremely accommodating for such a large group. We were able to have use of the board room for our evening parent socials and use of the kitchen area for meals. We even had a barbecue for 100 people on the one afternoon which went very smoothly. The weekends weather was really very terrible which was a shame as there is a large grassy field and park adjacent to the hotel which would have been great to use! Notwithstanding the hotel accommodated us many times through out the weekend even extending the pool hours for one of our teams who played late one night. The rooms themselves were beautifully appointed with lots of room, a great kitchenette and very clean. Breakfast each morning was very good with lots of choices and always lots of food. We have had to stay at many hotels for sports over the years and this was definitely one of the nicest and enjoyable stays we have had! Thanks to Jacquie and her staff.

Very nice hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable. Very clean. Lots of choices of rooms to accommodate families. We had two rooms for our family of five which had a door between them which was perfect as we like two bathrooms. Breakfast was ok, the usual fare offered in hotels.

The front counter staff was very helpful and explained all the amenities of the Hotel very well ! The hot breakfast was good the work out room well equipped and the rooms spotless ! I will be back again soon

My husband had an extended stay in Lacombe due to his employment and I came out for a long visit. Very possibly the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at and the staff are absolutely awesome and extremely helpful. Great amenities including a hot breakfast, well equipped exercise room, pool with a water slide, hot tub and guest laundry room. Very clean, beautifully decorated with really comfortable beds.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a wedding party at this hotel the weekend we stayed. The wedding party had little to no respect for others in the hotel. If there would not of been the wedding party this hotel would of left us with an excellent experience.

The location was really convenient and everything was clean and new! The front desk clerk (Jill) was really nice and welcoming. The room was spacious and spotless! The premises and neighbourhood was quiet and the pool/workout room was a nice plus. The wifi worked really well throughout the room and there were more than enough pillows. The breakfast was good and plentiful and the cook was very accommodating. Best hotel experience I've had in a long while! I will definitely be staying here again!

If you want to stay somewhere clean, modern, and quiet in the Lacombe area, this is one of the few options that will satisfy you. My husband and two young kids stayed in a room on ground level which was very spacious, and modern. The bathroom was quite fancy with a large walk in shower. Downside though, was that the lip between the floor and shower was nearly nonexistent so when the kids had there shower, water literally was ALL over the bathroom floor. There was no drain on the bathroom floor either for it to go. It was so bad that we had to dam it up with towels, haha. And since I was helping my daughter rinse off I know that she was not splashing. We went to the pool, where the water was very cold. But the waterslide easily made up for it as it was fast. Do not attempt taking your younger kids on this waterslide or letting them go unless they are good swimmers, it is fairly extreme and spits you out violently into the water. The hot tub was new and roomy. There are change rooms and a shower to rinse off in, attached to the pool. We saw a small work out room next to it that looked decent for the size. There was a continental hot breakfast the next morning and it was okay. Honestly, for being a plus restaurant I expected better. Although compared to most hotels in the area you are not going to get much better for the price. It wasn't that the food was bad, it was mediocre. My complaints is that the hot food was typical hotel fare- the eggs seemed from a package, for example, and were bland. There was only one option for fruit and I believe it was canned. There was also yogurt available, various cereals, some baked goods, juice, other hot options such as sausage, and a make-it-yourself waffle station. I firmly believe the breakfast could have been improved on with fresh fruit available and better quality hot breakfast fare such as fresh scrambled eggs. But for a free breakfast there are enough options available to satisfy. The hotel was not full when we were there and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a small shop ran by the hotel desk staff where you can buy essentials and snacks. My only remark on the hotel that could be good or bad based on your opinion was that our room seemed quite cold (as in not cozy). I think this was probably because our room had no carpet. There was a small rug between the two queen beds though. The hardwood floor throughout with modern décor was perfectly beautiful but did not give me the sense of comfort. But if you have allergies or hate carpet then no problem. On the other hand, my grandparents stayed at this hotel and told me there room did have carpet, so not positive on that note. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. I was very impressed with this, and my husband agreed. The location is great, close to the golf course, but not within walking distance to much else. It is a very quiet location and close driving distance to the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was excellent, rooms were spacious and clean, one of the best hotel experience in the last year we have had. We stayed for a hockey tournament, and there was plenty of room for a family of 5 in our suite. Full size fridge came in handy. Pool was clean and had a water slide everyone enjoyed. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying for business or pleasure.

I stayed at this hotel recently with my family and we were impressed with everything. We had the pleasure of staying in the room with bunk beds for the kids. The room was spacious and clean. It could fit a family of 6 comfortably. The kids even had their own TV! The pool was lots of fun, we went swimming several times during our stay. The continental breakfast had lots of choices and all of the food was fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who was coming to the Lacombe area. It is a quick drive to Red Deer, Gull Lake and Sylvan Lake.

This is a new hotel, very easy to get to. Booked with the mobile app, the price on the app didn't match what the room cost. Very clean and quite. The staff were very helpful with a quick check in and check out

I can't think of a better hotel on the Highway 2 corridor between Calgary and Edmonton than the Best Western that opened in 2015 in Lacombe, and trust me, I've stayed in most of them. The folks who own this hotel are committed to your comfort as a guest. I've found them responsive to my needs. Quick to find solutions. Able to think outside the box. The hotel is a a delightful place which is clean and well kept. With a wide variety of room layouts the guest experience should be a positive one whether one is a casual traveler or as in my case one who lives on the road over 200 days a year. This property has become my first choice for stays in Central Alberta. Thanks to the owners and staff for creating a pleasant home away from home.

Clean, courteous, convenient and anything else you are looking for. Breakfast area is huge with fantastic selection of breakfast items. Waffles are always a hit! Waterslide was blast for the kids. Best of all accommodates a family of five!!

Although we only spent one night at the hotel, we found the Best Western PLUS Lacombe Inn & Suites to be very comfortable, very well decorated and your best option for a hotel in the Lacombe area. Very courteous and professional staff. New hotel (2015)

Their continental breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit and whip cream toppings for the "make your own" waffles was an extra that I have not seen offered by other hotels I have stayed at in the past. They are unique due the variety of different room styles they offer to accommodate almost every travellers' needs. They also have long stay rooms equipped with complete kitchenette facilities. The hockey bag storage room is a bonus that I have not seen in other hotels which is nice if you have every had to travel with your child's hockey bad in close proximity.

New facility, room 320 was fabulous! was a very large room with 2 lovely queen beds, very nicely done....lots of space ...free Wi-Fi ..one of the nicest rooms we have had in a long time. Did not get a chance to use the pool & hot tub but it looked great. Had breakfast 1 morning and was impressed. Waffle maker , eggs , sausage, toast ,porridge , fruits, coffee ,...the whole self help breakfast. We would go again.

The front desk staff are very helpful and the rooms and lobby area very nicely laid out. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel while new is very clean. The decorating is outstanding. Two minor cons in that it seemed difficult to get an email confirmation and the sound proofing could be better. Will certainly stay there again when in the area.

This hotel is clean! We found the pet-friendly room to be well-designed and the flooring was especially great for our puppy. The hotel pool and water slide were great fun for our six-year old and we enjoyed that a lot! The breakfasts were included and had good gluten- and dairy-free options. The one caveat: bring your own pillow as theirs are too enormous to sleep comfortably upon. All said, a great place to stay!

Nice new hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast. We had a large family group staying for a funeral and the staff allowed us to use the breakfast room for a family dinner and allowed us to use their big screen tv to show a powerpoint. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

Probably the nicest decorated Best Western I have ever been in. The rooms were very nice, the staff was extremely friendly. Even the cleaning staff asked us if we enjoyed our stay. Check in was seamless and the breakfast was GREAT!!! We even had someone come to our table to refill our coffee.

This brand new property is such a gem in Lacombe. My husband and I stayed one night and had an excellent experience. The hotel staff were so nice and accommodating, checking in to see if we needed anything. The rooms were immaculately clean and very well appointed with soft towels, great pillows and all the things you'd need when you are away from home. Wifi was strong and the shower was nice and big. It's by far the most beautiful decor I've seen in a Best Western property with neat local photography and art. There is a great indoor pool with waterslide and gym to work out in that has everything I would need. It also backs onto an awesome park with lovely green space and a big play structure for kids to enjoy. Loved the continental breakfast. I'm quite fussy about hotel breakfasts but found this one to be really good quality food and lots of selection. We loved making our own waffles in the morning! Our next trip to Lacombe will absolutely include a stay at this property!

This hotel had just opened 14 days prior to our stay. Everything is so bright and new. Excellent fitness facility and pool. Staff is efficient and pleasant. Warm cookies and refreshing lemon water at the front desk were a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was a thrill to be one of the first guests of this new hotel! I was impressed with the amount of room options there are. You will not have a problem accommodating your party, whether it's 1 or 8, there's a room or suite for you! The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The daily hot breakfast was amazing! So many great choices to start your day. Our room was fabulous! The layout was very spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, and the Keurig in the room was perfect for that early morning coffee kick. Will be looking forward to staying here again soon!
