"Decent Hotel in Katra "
We were in Katra for Ma Vaishno Devi's darshan and had a 2 nights stay at Best Western Swing High, the Hotel is located perfectly with all the good Restaurants near by and the Helipad is like 5 mins from the hotel... The best part of the hotel is the service, especially at the restaurant, special mention to Ram Verma and Naresh Singh... The really took good care of us, will certainly suggest this hotel of u visit Katra for Darshan...
"Jai Mata Di"
The hotel is value for money and the whole staff especially Manager Mr Rainaji are very cooperative. The rooms are good, but the only thing that needs improvement is food. Have been visiting this hotel for past few years and the upkeep is good.

Hotel is located on the main road, well maintained property , staff is always eager to go beyond their line of duty to make you feel like a king, needed a new Sim, it was promptly arranged by the front desk, breakfast is simply mouthwatering, what lack in variety is well over compensated with taste, shouldn't miss the breakfast, price is low, cab was arranged to and from to the base station for climbing upto vaishno devi , no extra charges . If possible book the the room on the back side,you will get to see the mountain which is abode of "VAISHNO DEVI MA" Looking forward to visit soon and recommend others too. "Great stay - value for money"
Well maintained, neat and clean. All amenities provided in the room. Room is spacious with sofas, writing table, tea/coffee maker, a mini fridge, locker in the wardrobe, enough cloth hangers etc. Washroom has glass enclosed bath area and the toilet kits (shampoo, body wash and moisturiser). Linen and towels provided were clean. More than that, the staff is very helpful, efficient and very courteous. Early checkin and late checkout (an hour plus in each case) was provided without any problem. The restaurant serves good food (with no-garlic, no-onion menu) and here too, the waiters are very polite, attentive and efficient. Buffet breakfast is inclusive in the package and had a decent spread. The overall experience and feel is not less than any 5-star hotel like ITC/Taj but at an affordable price (value for money). Highly recommended for a pleasant and comfortable stay at Katra.
"superb stay"
We 02 couples stayed 28-29 Nov 21 for a night. Hotel staff Mr. Raina and front desk staff was so polite, helpful and kind.. Early check in was provided but with prior information. Rooms are good, clean and spacious. Breakfast was good... some may feel less choice but quality and taste is good. Front desk arranged local sim card within hotel.. also helped to get taxi for Jammu with reasonable charges.. only drawback was wifi not working for first hours due to fault but it was restored ..Overall stay was awesome and memorable. 5 stars to hotel and 7 star to hotel staff.
"Not a great experience!"
This hotel falls under average category as we experienced during our recent visit. Reception and the staffs at the reception counter were okay. They need to be more courteous as they belong to the hospitality industry. They should at least carry the smile on their face. May be they need industry specific training. Restaurant was good and even the quality of food was good. On a special request they provided us very light breakfast and tea at 5 in the morning that too freshly prepared item. Even we got the dinner prepared and served at 2 AM for one day. Kitchen staff was present and with the limited varieties of ordered items, he served well. Really liked Kitchen staff's attitude. Cleanliness was very poor. They don't do room cleaning neither the make up the room if you are staying for the consecutive two days. This is really very bad and very poor attitude from the hotel management. They do have the master key of all the rooms as other hotels have but still they do not clean the room. This should be the basic and foremost practice to be followed by any hotel. We were quite fed up when we saw the untidy room after coming back from the yatra at 1 AM. This is anyways important and now a days it is utmost important to keep cleanliness and hygiene of the rooms. This was one of the horrible experiences we all had that night. Looking at the facilities and the services, the price is at the higher range. The location of the property is good which is a plus point. Rooms are very small. They do not have twin sharing bed (please do not go by the description shared on third party service provides websites) and hence it is not good for the group or when you are not travelling with the family. Staffs keep on following the guests for the tips which at times look very awkward. They should not be waiting until they get the tips. Hope they will take this feedback seriously and work towards the improvement.

"Avoid if possible .."
The room size was good, the location is not too far from the station. The early check in was smooth. Disliked · 1. The property is located on a busy street and hence the rooms facing the front are bad, despite my apprehension of noise I was given a room facing the road and the noise of vehicle honking and screeching through the night and early morning was disturbing. 2. The promised pick up after decent from the ‘Bhavan ‘ was not provided. I had called 15-20 mins before with the request that the vehicle should meet us at the waiting hall. The staff refused saying we should call after reaching the auto stand, I told him it was raining and it would be difficult for us to wait. However when we called again after somehow reaching in the rain the guy said you will have to wait for 30-45 mins as the only vehicle they had has gone to pick up another guest! So we were left stranded and had to get into an auto to reach the hote! Imagine they have one vehicle, why even offer the service. I would say be aware for guests looking at this service, I believe others too have shared similar experience before. 3. The breakfast is another experience altogether, the staff is not trained it seems as both days we had to request them to clean the table after the earlier guest had left. He just picked up a tissue paper from the table and wiped it !! and threw it on the floor so much for the hygiene ! the service was slow and one had to wait and ask for food to be refilled on the buffet table, the waiter also told us that they had exhausted their bananas at 9:00 am ! 4. The property has only one lift therefore the wait for it is long, the staff also uses the same lift to go up and down. 5. The glass door of the shower partition was coming off at the hinge and it was a challenge to get in and out off the cubicle without getting involved in an accident. 6. The drinking water supply was a big issue, only 2 -500ml of bottled water were supplied on the first day and on subsequent day we had to call repeatedly before the water was sent to the room in a jug!

"Comforatble Stay !!"
I have been staying in this hotel since the past 3 years and have never found a problem. The staff and service is absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. The breakfast spread is really good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only area of improvement if that they should have hot water towards the end of the day as well - (due to climatic conditions the water is not as hot as required towards the end of the day). Overall its the perfect place to stay with no issues whatsoever.

We stayed there for Mata Vaishnav Devi Darshan. Extremely helpful staff available for 24hrs. Good food. City center hotel.Spacious neat and clean room. They also provide complimentary services for pick and drop from hotel to Ban ganga at any time. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

"Very comfortable yet affordable stay near Vaishno Devi temple"
The 1st thing that I loved about Best Western Swing High katra rooms are that they are very spacious and tastefully done up. All the modern facilities including air conditioning, flat screen TV, fridge, hot running water are available and though it's on the main road, it has got very good sound proofing so that you can get a sound sleep which you definitely require after a trek up to Vaishno Devi temple! Each of its 45 rooms and suites is comfortably appointed with a host of ultra-modern conveniences, and provide a personalized, home-away-from-home stay experience. Also they provide a free pick up and drop service to the place from where you have to trek up to Vaishno Devi temple. This is provided 24 hours, I was picked up on return at 3am! The washroom is quite large and very luxurious providing good facilities to freshen up and to shower. The amenities provided were also of good quality. Though the pricing of the rooms is like 3 star, I felt the entire facilities looked like 4 star quality!

Got a brand at a decent cost though would have liked better as it was off season. Room was clean and comfortable breakfast could have been better.after a tiering journey got a decent dinner as well staff was helpful.

"A great place to stay when on pilgrimage to the Shrine"
The location is central. Located just short of the centre square of the township, on the main road from Jammu, it is close to the road bifurcation for the helipad . It The staff is helpful and Positive in their approach. They provide a free shuttle to the helipad. The rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable. Cleanliness is excellent. The restaurant serves good tasty food without onion and garlic. the helpings are value for money.

"Good hotel"
Room service & food was good. Hotel located on Main Street. Rooms were tidy and of good size. Receptionist were not good and cheaters. Driver told us that drop to the station was free but receptionist charged us for that.

Incase we oblige any on for Railway station pick up or drop then we have to pay the royalty to taxi stand railway station which is minimum of Rs 200/net for one side.

One of the best hotel to visit is this one. They have so many facilities provided at this place. They have really nice rooms that are hygenic and clean with various equipments and facilities provided for the room.

"Best Hotel in Vaishno Devi"
It is one of the best hotel in Katra Vaishno Devi. I visited with my family and booked this hotel online. Very smooth and quick welcoming was done by reception staff. They are very well trained handle the customers and help them out for travel assistanceat a very nominal price. Special thanks to Mr. Sonu who helped us in arranging very smooth journey to Vaishno Devi temple. Food in restaurantis pretty good and tasty. Buffet breakfast layout was lavish and wonderful. They have a spa and we took the leg massage after doing the darshan. It was very relaxing. This hotel is in the main city and is easy accessible and approachable from all stations of Katra. Best of luck for the staff and management of the hotel.

"One of the best hotel in Katra"
Hotel has the best location in Katra within the heart of the city and very close to Katra Market. We stayed at Best Western Swing High Katra last month and visited the holy shrine Vaishno Devi temple. The rooms are generous in size. We were warmly welcomed with beautiful smiles by the reception staff which is highly professional and knowledgeable. The rooms are very beautiful and spacious with all modern amenities and centralized AC. It was the winter timing and the AC was set on heating mode which was very comfortable and relaxing. The food of the restaurant and room service was excellent and delicious. They don't use onion and garlic in food preparation but despite that the food was too tasty and yummy. The restaurant staff is extremely good with smiling faces. Housekeeping staff is also well trained to fulfill all our needs. We will surely visit again soon and will definitely recommend this property to all our family and friends. Keep up the good work guys and be like this as you people are exceptional. Thank you for your service we all enjoyed a lot.

"Excellent stay in great property like Best Western Swing High Katra"
Without any doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Katra Vaishnodevi, Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Service and Food are Excellent . The rooms are very spacious exceptional hotel in katra .The Location of the Hotel is very good neat and clean with modern amenities.

"Great Hospitality"
The hotel is simply great. Staff good, location superb, virtually everything. The staff is very polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good, with plenty of choice. The Rajmah and rice of this restaurant were exceptionally mouth watering. Rooms are excellent and spotless, although worth getting one with a view, even if have to pay for upgrade, which is very reasonable. The Front desk people in the lobby are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding areas. They were exceptionally helpful sorting out local trips, and recommendations. They can sort out anything, even at short notice, as well as our onward journey to Jammu. The weather was not good for a couple of days, but even we managed to visit Vaishno Devi temple and local sightseeing. All in all, highly recommended. We will surely visit again and stay here. "Not a 4 star Hotel"
This BestWestern in nothing like 4 star. I booked this hotel because this was the only 4 start hotel in Katra and it was very disappointed that I picked this hotel. Service however was very good, but owners need to spend some money to keep up with BestWestern standard. Toilet wasn't not cleaned, bed sheets were not changed, it was dirty and found 2 long hairs on the bed, floor was dirty. Bathroom needs some work done, door formica peeling off at the bottom. There was only 2 bath towels in the room. No Hand Towesl, No Wash cloths, no facial tissue or paper towels. I had half roll of toilet tissue. Room AC thermostat is only good to display room temperature. AC don't work right. I had AC set at 22 degree and at night it went up to 28 degree. When I called the front desk about it, they told me to turn it off. After few hours my room was 18 degree so I had to turn the AC/heather on again, and back and forth whole night. This hotel is can't be 4 star.
"Best experience in katra ever"
Very much clean and good hotel in katra. Hotel staff, food, location, room and everything was very good. I have never seen this type of hotel in katra. Maintenance of this hotel was very high class. I m sharing a very surprising thing when we're entered into hotel around 5.00 am morning, the person who seated in reception area was looked very active and fresh and on the counter a flame was in lamp.

"very near & nice stay"
i visited karta , mata vaishno devi , with family in Apr'18 . And stay at" hotel swings high" which is very near to bus stand and railways station too.... A very nice stay with family ,,,... Food restaurant was also very good... Highly recommend for family stay.

"Great Hotel"
I would like to thanks the hotel staff for the Great Hospitality...Rooms are too good and spacious...Food is awesome.... thanks once again for early check in the morning. I would say this is the right play to stay. I am satying at the same hotel from last 5 years and they have maintained it very well.See you next year aswell.
"Not too bad for 2 days stay"
We stayed in this hotel for two night during our Vaishnodevi visit The hotel reception area was under construction Highlights- Great view, one of the best in area, good food, looks new Lowlights- No Wifi, housekeeping not efficient, toilet height is more than normal, 3004 room door was not locking, after 10 pm rarely room service, reception or housekeeping answers
"Nice mid rage hotel"
Its a good place to stay with family. Just a few minutes walk from the main bus and taxi stand. Very clean and well-maintained hotel. People are very courteous and helpful. Room service can be a bit late at times but overall its good.

"Best hotel in katra go for it..."
We stay thr 11th may to 13th may. We booked 2 rooms. We were 5 pax. Great service. Food was delicious. Spa & gym also available. Good staff and Clean rooms. Near by market and theater. They also have small garden with small artificial river.
