The location was convenient. The hotel was clean and the room was nice, but then walls are very thin and I heard constant noise. I was woken up at 6am by loud dog barking, which did not stop for two hours, and I could hear the other guests watching tv late at night
This is an older hotel that is serviceable. Our night clerk was pleasant and helpful. Common areas are tired, and the carpet badly in need of replacing. Our room was clean and the bed quite firm but comfortable enough. The big let down was breakfast. It sounded great judging by the whiteboard on the reception counter, but an hour in, there were no scrambled eggs or coffee, and other selections, such as yogurt, were nearly finished. We saw no one actually monitoring the buffet during our 20 minutes or so there, but we did see other guests opening the empty serving container with some disappointment. Coffee was refilled after we let the front desk know it was out. From the reviews, we had higher hopes for this property.
I specifically chose a Best Western because of standards that normally are maintained. This facility failed to maintain its internet. The signal to my room was inadequate and the personnel were inadequately trained on internet operations and they failed to make any adjustment on my bill. I had to use a personal phone as a hotspot to do the work I needed to do during my stay. Do not stay at Best Western in Junction City, Kansas
Clean, quiet, and the normal Best Western breakfast at a great price. Front desk gal was helpful with a few specific questions we had. Pool was a great temperature. Treadmill did not work during our visit. We've stayed here before and will visit again. Walking distance to Cracker Barrel.
Would suggest not staying here. Cold stale tasting food. bad mattress. Left with a backache even though we only stayed one night. Very low grade. Coffee nasty and cold. Outside area was dirty. Definitely not worth the value. Even the water was draining slow from the sink and toilet.
Clean, friendly staff, easy to walk dog outside. Great hot breakfast! Loved that there was an Aldi ( grocery store) right there. Had a nice deck out back. The staff was so friendly and very accomodating with anything we asked.
After reading mixed reviews, we were hesitant to book a room, as we normally stay at BW Plus hotels…..the whole hotel and our room was very nice and clean. Would stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru Junction City, Ks
I would definitely choose this hotel again. Very nice breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, assorted breads, yogurt, waffles, cereal, orange and apple juices, coffee and tea. The pool was nice after a hot day exploring the area. The vanity is outside of the bathroom. The downside is there is no elevator to the second floor. Very quiet room. The air conditioner worked really well as it was over 100 degrees the two days we were there.
**Even though this hotel is "smoke free" as soon as we walked into the room we could smell the stale cigarette smoke smell. **The light switch at the sink is a fire hazard. The switch didn't work correctly. The switch had to be manipulated in the middle to turn off the light. When we tried to turn the light switch off the typical off position turned the light on. **The toilet was very small (I'm a short person) and very low to the ground. When it was flushed it made a loud screeching noise. ** The morning we were checking out there was a bug crawling up the wall. I was thankful that I didn't see that the night before.
The customer service was "Outstanding"!!!! Leanne made us feel at home as soon as we entered the office. We were a large family group needing several rooms. She knew our name and was expecting our arrival. Our rooms were nice, comfy beds and clean. We were on our way back from the West Coast and it was a pleasant overnight on our way home. Again.... a special shout out to Leanne. Thank You!! We hope your manager realizes you are a gem.
The staff was friendly and accommodating when I asked for help. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great and there were options to choose from. I travel a lot so it is always helpful to have a nice stay.
We were checked in by LeAnn and Bethany, both very personable and knowledgeable, and were upgraded to a king bed room. Pros - Clean room and floor, good bed, good shower, good linens, Microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, Chair w/ottoman, long vanity outside the bathroom. Cons - The room needed to be aired (either from stale smoke or pets), and Tub was very slick. Breakfast was good with Sausage Links, real scrambled eggs, breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals, juices, and coffee.
We were traveling with friends and a dog, so we reserved 2 rooms. Rooms and main areas of hotel were exceptional clean. We felt safe in the location, even walking several miles into the surrounding neighborhood.
The staff at Best Western J.C. Inn is always so friendly making me feel right at home. The rooms are so clean and smell fresh, not like other places. The breakfast is always hot and fresh. A real home away from home
Hotel was clean. Bed was super comfy. All staff but one desk clerk were kind and helpful. He should not work at front desk. Breakfast was out of eggs and orange juice ay 8am. "Grocery order did not come in ".
Front desk experience, room furnishings & cleanlness, brkf, etc were all 5 Star. The only problem was a b/o TV remotre but Front Desk rep personally turned it on manually (control behind TV & well 'hidden') Even the finest sites can have problems - it's how well AND how quickly staff respond. Here the response was A-1! Special chocolates on each bed was a surprise plus too!
Reserved our rooms a month in advance. An hour before check-in they call to tell us they have an emergency and need to cancel 10 rooms so we no longer have reservations. I ask what kind of emergency requires that only 10 rooms get canceled and the lady said she didn't know she was only saying what she was told to say. I informed her that this was unacceptable and i needed to speak with a manager. We had traveled 5 hours to be there and canceling our rooms wasn't an option. She wasn't sure how to respond and so I again asked for a manager at which time she said "Just forget it and keep your reservation." When we got to the hotel I asked if they were full for the night and was told no they have rooms available...
Had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and smelled really good. The desk clerk was cheerful and upbeat. Breakfast the next morning was amazing. Fluffy scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. More than I expected and definitely better than other locations I've stayed at on this trip. Food was hot and plentiful. Hotel lobby was clean and even had fresh coffee and chocolate chip cookies which really hit the spot. Great location close to several places to eat, shopping close by,. Thanks to everyone at Best Western in Junction City Kansas for making me feel at home away from home
We had been to Colorado to visit children and grandchildren. Junction City is a half-way spot. We often stay at this hotel to meet kids halfway and exchange the grandkids. It is always quiet, clean and comfortable.
It is unfortunate that in today's world customer service is almost unheard of, which is a tragedy. Not the case at Best Western J. C. Inn. Not only were the rooms nice and clean, but the staff was knowledgeable and friendly making me feel like family. It was also centrally located, and right off the highway so easy to find as well.
Didn't plan to stay in JC so didn't look at Tripadviser reviews, but a looming storm convinced us to get off the road. Chose this hotel based solely on price and our usual experience with Best Western plus our travel companions had some points to use. It worked out great. Super helpful and friendly check in; let us all park our bikes under the veranda; great room layout with good bed and all the amenities; full breakfast with eggs, meat, biscuits n' gravy, and many other offerings; close to shopping and restaurants. Would highly recommend to fellow travelers.
I consider this Hotel-Motel is the best place in the Junction City area. The breakfast and the staff are awesome. The room was clean and the beds were medium firm and we had a restful sleep. The location is close to Fort Riley and shopping.
Met the owner, he was super nice. The two women that checked us in were funny and nice. Bed was comfortable. Decent sized fitness center for the price of the hotel. If I go back out west I will definitely be staying here again.
Stayed here for one night. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, shower was great and a good choice of food at breakfast. The hotel was well located for places to eat at night.
We went in to our room and quickly left to stay at another hotel. The floors in this room were dirty, beds has debri on them, mold in the bathroom, lamps were dusty. It was disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Everything was excellent from checking in to checking out. Any issues we had were taken care of immediately. Management, Front Desk and Housekeeping staff were friendly. Room was very clean. Recommend
I visited 4 days Thanksgiving 2021 my son is in the Military here. The room was simple nothing extra. The hotel is obviously old but the room was clean functional and staff was excellent. Guest laundry didn't work so we had to go to a washteria. Pool wasn't heated so winter swimming is out. This room function for it's purpose and was clean and staff good. However I think I'll choose a better quality place next visit. I've been in Super 8 little better quality. Place definitely needs a good updating. The area is very simple several restaurants around and Walmart across the street.
It's a full service breakfast, walking distance. To any and everything you could need, friendly staff.clean and quiet, indoor pool. It's pet friendly and very comfortable beds and the most amazing location .
The lobby had an unpleasant odor and what appeared to be a poopy stained sheet was on my bed! The icing on top the cake was when the fire alarm went off TWICE in the wee hours. Staff could care less at this place. Front desk gal left me waiting 15 min to check in while she attempted to park a car. The only person who greeted me with a true care and seemed eager to do his job was the new kitchen hire.
We spent the last week hiking and camping in southern Colorado. After a long drive we were looking forward to a shower. No shampoo. When I asked for some at the front desk said they had been out for month and suggested I got to Walmart or the dollar store. No coffee cups in the room. I was told they don't do that anymore. When I got the bill I was charged for a pet fee. We have no pet. The hotel claims their number one goal is customer service. We chose to stay at this higher priced hotel because we wanted these basic things. “Score us 10”is their wifi password. Score them 1 for a terrible experience.
Terrific hotel. Easy on/off from I-70. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Pet friendly, pool, work out room and free breakfast. Great price! My room smelled fresh, clean and welcoming. The beds made up so you wanted to jump right in. The pillows stacked at attention. Thank you Best Western JC Inn!
Don't do business with these people. They ask for your credit card for "incidentals," and when you get home, they've charged you more that $200 over the quoted rate. Don't trust these people, and it won't do you any good to contact them because they'll tell you they're returning your $$ in 3-5 days, but you'll never see you money again. DO NOT TRUST THISBUSINESS--EVER!!!!!!
Thank you to all the staff at the best western, always friendly, great personalities, very helpful. I recommend this to everyone. Family like environment an of course clean an relaxing rooms. Full breakfast was included!
Unclean, poorly kept, horrible mattress, and no apparent COVID-19 protocols. This location is misrepresented on the internet. If my reservation had been refundable I would not have even entered the building. So sad, I thought I could count on Best Western
Would have given 5 but reservation were for 1st floor king got 2nd floor Odor in frigerator gave me different Room …..Otherwise all 10s very clean Very friendly the best breakfast ….l always stay at best western because there clean
If you are moving, do not go to that hotel at night. My fiancé and I didn't see the right side of the building to park the uhaul. My fiancé dropped me off to get a room and then he got stuck because he was trying to go around the hotel- well there's a dead end. Make sure you go to the right side of the building when you get in (the worker said the right side of the building is not really their property so they just park there anyways- it's grass and dirt area). So they told us to get off the curb to get to aldi parking lot beside them because we had no choice since we were stuck and there was a shed at the dead end, well don't because we got stuck and had to call uhaul roadside assistance. Hotel won't give us a full refund and only partial. Literally the WORST experience ever. Parking accessibility is not great, they didn't have signs to inform people where to park once we enter their property. I called the headquarter and filed an complaint due to lack of accessibility for bigger trucks. The managers name is Lynn and he called the owner for refund and the owner won't approve it- that dumb owner. I strongly recommend not to stay there. Oh and their breakfast is sh Taste like cheap food and the price is not reasonable for that quality of service, food and parking space.
Priceline pictures of Best Western does not show the dirty surroundings or interior. Day 1: The curtains in our suite are ripped so those on the street can see us. Tracy, the manager, said she knows and can't replace them because they are hard to find ones to fit the window. The bathroom doorknob is broken so my mom was stuck in the bathroom for 5 minutes while I was sleeping. Then I was stuck in the bathroom for 30 minutes when she was sleeping. Daniel, the maintenance man was sent by the manager, Tracy, with a screwdriver to save me which took 30 minutes. Tracy, laughed because I was stuck in the broken lock bathroom. The shower water does not drain. When I asked Tracy for a refund or adjustment she said there is nothing she can do and I have to go through Priceline. Day 2: We returned to our room at 8:45 pm to find mail service did not clean the room which I requested, through Tracy, when I checked in on Day 1. Hannah said Tracy did not make any notes for maid service to come. Hannah said maid service is gone for the day and gave me new towels and trash bags. Hannah also apologized for the many issues we had on our stay and said maid service will come the next day which is our check out day.
The front desk service person named Mica was great! I would give it a five but the hotel is a little rundown and has no elevator, but I would stay there because Mica is very delightful to talk to and a great at helping people!
Mikka, the front desk clerk was very friendly and informative. the pool was a nice reprieve from all the stressors going on. quiet and clean, comfortable beds, and a great location. excellent stay, even if it wasnt a vacation!
We last stayed here in 2018 while traveling between IA & AZ. It's a good motel for a one night stay, the rooms are showing their age just a little but were fine. The bathroom was bigger than a lot of motels. Their room rate was a little lower than some but we travel with a dog & the pet fee was higher than most, so it works out about the same. The parking lot is only on one side of the motel, so if you like your vehicle outside your window you'd have to request a room on that side.
First, the positive...The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The coffee was better than most hotels offer. Our room was in sad disrepair. The sheer window curtain was literally in shreds. The bathroom door didn't close completely, so you could not engage the lock. The middle support for the mattress was lying on the floor under the bed. Everything was old and dingy and in desperate need of TLC.
We appreciate your staff an enjoyed our stay, very clean, front desk Ling was great! Thank you we will be back next month looking forward to a good laugh, nice sleep in the clean rooms an breakfast is back again!
It was a great stay had great rooms the bed was very comfortable I got some great sleep I was so happy it was near restaurants and shopping centers safe place to stay staff was great and very helpful I will be coming back
Our visit started out pretty good. Things got crazy at about 1:15 in the morning. We woke up to the sound of the Jacuzzi tub and/or shower above us running. It was extremely loud! It ran on and off till about 2:00, which by then, we were hearing a constant dripping in our room. It took a while to figure out that what we were hearing was their tub leaking into our room. The drip got faster and faster became almost a constant stream of water. We called the front desk to tell them what was happening, and they asked if we would like to move to another room. So at 2 am, we moved down the hall to another room. In the morning, we asked the front desk worker if they would offer any dicount or vouncher for all the hassle and inconvenience. She said no, not since they had another room available to move us to. I'm not sure if the front desk worker was a manager or not, but she didn't even try to ask a manager about giving us a discount or ask us if we would like to talk to a manager. Our biggest complaint is how much sleep we lost because of a leaking tub that didn't get fixed properly. The front desk said they knew it had leaked before, but thought it was 'fixed' because someone had 'looked at it.' That's not something I would expect from a Best Western. I would expect that from a $40 value motel.
The property and room looked nice enough, but the bed was uncomfortable and the refrigerator ran way too loudly all night, but those aren't my real complaints. I made reservations over the phone requesting a ground level room. I was told that wouldn't be guaranteed, but I was NEVER told that there is no elevator on the property and that I would have to haul myself and my luggage up a flight of stairs. I can barely handle stairs, so my luggage stayed in the car. And the receptionist wore no face mask even though the state mandates it. There was a plastic shield between us, but I'd like more from hotels during the pandemic. I can't believe indoor hotels in this day and age aren't required to have an elevator or inform the customer.
Room was clean and the pool was warm. They were nice to my grandson 4 and 6, who enjoyed the pool. The inn is located around alot of food places as well as Wal Mart just across the street for those forgotton items. The only bad things was the a lot of traffic so you have to keep eye on the pets and kids.
Just passing through on trip west, with hubby and our 2 dogs. Best Western is very accommodating for pet owners. Pet area available out back. Room was clean and comfortable, wi-fi ran smoothly. Grab and Go breakfast bags available, as well as coffee station in lobby. Friendly staff with smooth check in. Easy to find and conveniently located near various eateries. Good value. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in area.
Clean rooms. Entrance to back door needs fixing so that card keys work. It was hit or miss as to how many times I had to swipe my card and get the door to open. Will stay here again though. Disappointed in the bag breakfasts but during the pandemic it's hard to do anything else. Although a small juice or milk would have been nice. Perhaps also a choice of the individual cereal boxes as well.
The bed needs a new mattress. The ceiling could use a little work as a little more detail to housekeeping. Other than that very comfortable. Plenty of places to eat close by, all within walking distance. Coffee in the evening would be very nice
Very clean and comfortable. Desk clerk was very friendly. Breakfast was served in a bag due to Covid-19, but it contained fruit and granola bars and bottled water. Not too sugary, which I appreicated.
Nice hotel! Very clean room and property. Staff was welcoming. Although some amenities were closed during pandemic, staff did everything possible to make my stay a pleasant one. Restaurants and shopping close by. Would definitely stay here again.
We are traveling across country for a move and were too tired to make it further. I booked through the corporate office and they were able to accommodate me and my 2 large dogs immediately. We showed up 5 minutes later and there was one young person running the front desk - like a BOSS! They were amazing, super friendly and helpful, even walking outside with me to figure out the best place to park our trailer and making sure we had everything we need. Room was CLEAN and comfortable and the room was quiet, which meant that my puppies were quiet all night too! I don't have plans to return to Kansas anytime soon but I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is.
I found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. Jasmine at the front desk was a delight to deal with. Bonus was a to go breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through this area.
Had a great stay. Bed was comfortable and the Breakfast to go bags were a plus considering Covid-19. The front desk staff that I encountered during my stay were a delight after a long drive. All in all I will be coming back to stay here on my way back.
This is a great place to stay in the area if you are looking for good value. The location is handy for shopping, with a Walmart close by. The breakfast is up to usual Best Western standards of quality.
Always stay here on my visits to the area. Great pricing, great location and service. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Breakfast is amazing with dietary needs met for anyone watching calories. Would highly recommend.
Really great place to stay! Comfortable, affordable, clean. Staff was very kind and willing to take the extra step to make us feel at home. The overnight front desk lady was absolutely amazing!! We plan on staying there every time we come to Fort Riley.
Not a good area. Had to leave in the middle of the night when I caught someone casing my vehicle in preparation to break into it. The front desk clerk didn't even ask why I was leaving at such a strange hour (11 pm).
My husband and I get away from time to time, just us. We chose the Best Western hotel for the night. It was really nice stay from the welcome of the front desk lady to the great breakfast in the morning before we had to return home. We will return another day. Highly recommended
Our stay was exactly what we expected from a Best Western. Clean, comfortable, and professional staff. Breakfast had numerous choices and the hotel was close to shopping, which is a plus as it seems we always forget to pack something.
This was one of the nicest BW properties that we have stayed in. The decor was beautiful. The staff was friendly. There was a bar. You could get room service. The breakfast had a good variety. Check in and out was easy.
This was a good room for the price, the room was a good room and we were not concerned about safety in anyway. The breakfast was one of the better breakfasts we had while being out on our vacation for the last 8 days. The staff was very friendly! The local steak house is absolutely well worth the money Time Out Steak House.
Very pet friendly! Friendly staff! Clean room.. Quiet. Room was on first floor close to door so taking dogs out for walks was very convenient. Pet fee was very reasonable! Right off interstate! Will definitely stay again! Dogs give it 5 bones!
terrible..huge cobwebs in all corners of room. Sprinklers were old and missing caps. Room smelled musty. Pillows lumpy caused neck pain. Terrible mix up with trying to get my receipt when we left. Name and address were wrong on receipt as well as room number. Told points could not be given as name on receipt was our traveling friends.
Just off the interstate with a Walmart right across the street. There are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. You have quick access to Ft Riley if that's a consideration. The staff was helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Pet friendly.
Have stayed here before. Room rates are nice. Pet friendly. Very clean and neat even in the back parking lot. Guest satisfaction is foremost here. Their breakfast is the best. And guests are taken care of all day and evening. Their are also many restaurants within walking distance and safe after dark.
The hotel was clean. The rooms were clean. Plenty of room for your pets to be walked. The staff is so friendly. They welcomed us with a smile and engaged with of dogs. If I was in the area again. I would stay herw.
We always stay at this hotel. It's in a convenient location. It's clean and staff always make you feel at home. Services are wonderful as are the rooms. You will not be disappointed. Hope management knows what a gem they have with this location and staff.
Staff goes above and beyond to assist you and the rooms are very nice. We left early so weren't able to check out the breakfast service. It would have been nice to grab some coffee and tea before we left.
Front desk staff member was clearly pregnant and outside smoking while I was waiting to check in. A very sad image to see. If that's the face of the business, it sadly makes me wonder the competency of the rest of the staff. Also WiFi would not connect so I couldn't get any work done.
This was our 2nd stay at this facility. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water. Our only real criticism is that the breakfast area was not so well maintained. Selection was fine, but it didn't feel tidy - perhaps a matter of detail. Same for the lobby and hallway.
A nice hotel to spend the night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I was surprised that the breakfast juices were served at room temperature. The breakfast items were lukewarm. There were several restaurants within walking distance of this hotel.
The J.C. Inn was a comfortable, reasonable place to stay. The furnishings were basic but the bed was one of the best I've slept on in any hotel. There are lots of convenient restaurants nearby and an Aldis will open soon next door. When driving cross country I don't need to have my socks knocked off by the extras in a hotel. I want a quiet, convenient place to stay and a good place to catch a good night's sleep. J.C. Inn filled the bill.
Pro's -Walmart and several eating places close by. -Breakfast was okay -Near K-State (not a bad drive there)about 15mins or so Cons - No Elevator to get to 2nd floor - Deep cleaning is needed - A rubber rug in the tub needs to go( holding germs) - Needs a good renovation - Couldn't get a extra blanket - Staff gathered out front on the gazebo loud talking and smoking and cussing. The conversation didn't not stop when I walked out to my car it got even louder. They were discussing the management team and the problems of the hotel. Not a good look when your potential returning customers are checking out and walking out to their cars.
Thank you for your service. It was good time to stay there. Rooms are clean. Staff are super nice and helpful. Breakfast tasty and varm. Always refreshed with the food if finished Front desk has water, coffe and tea during check in you can enjoy the drinks.
Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Only stayed overnight so we weren't there very long. This was the first stop on a road trip. The location is convenient to restaurants and Walmart. The price was also right for us.
Scrambled eggs were dry, sausages were burned. Seem to me the food was reheated from leftovers. I tried to toast my bagel twice but not got any brown and just a warm bagel. No cream cheese at all even though there is a sign of cream cheese on the fridge's door.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms, well equipped. King bed was comfortable. Great breakfast. Good overall value. We will definitely stay here again on our travels.
Hotel great for pets. Large grassy areas around. Lots of places to eat nearby. Clean and quiet. The only complaint i have is the included breakfast was lacking in freshness and quality but i would definitely not hesitate to stay again. No elevator either. Boo
Service was great, attendant was very helpful with information on dinner options. Room was clean and comfortable. Only draw back was no elevator for 2nd floor. Sights - Military memorials and historical things to see at local park.
Hey I really don't have much nice to say, so I'd rather say nothing at all. The entire place needs cleaning from the night attendant to the stairway to the rooms and the rooms need deep cleaning as well. I would not recommend this Best Western unless it was your last resort like it was for me
The service was excellent. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was great. The only complaint is the overwhelming odor that rendered the pool unusable. Junction City is a wonderful place to visit!
I enjoyed our stay greatly. My son enjoyed the pool as well . The staff was extremely friendly and I appreciate that in itself . The rooms were clean and I slept well . The hot breakfast in the morning was excellent . Thank you
Was coming West on the I70 from Ohio, not many signs out on the road showing motels, I saw the Hampton Suites from the road, but they are not pet friendly. The lady at the desk told me about the motels off of Chestnut and that's when I found the Best Western, most of them will let you have pets and granddaughters.
I have stayed at other places in town, but this one is my favorite. The room was clean, comfortable bed and pillows, soft fluffy towels, I really wanted to take the pillows home! The easy chair was just what I needed. The bathroom sparkled, everything looked and smelled clean. The pool was wonderful, like a great big bathtub, not too hot, not too cold but just right.
Wonderful hotel, plenty to eat at breakfast, hot and plenty. Rooms were nice, dogs enjoyed their stay also. Indoor pool was warm and nice, grandkids enjoyed this tremendously. Fridge and microwave in the room, queen beds, enjoyed our stay.
it was a good place to stay easy and very clean! Good food next door , the best are always comfortable and the breakfast was really good a little different. Its good fora an over night stay the area w
We always stay here because the staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is always delicious with lots to choose from. The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Junction City, Fort Riley and Manhattan. If you love to fish, Milford Lake is close by.
We're rarely unhappy with Best Western. The front desk people are always pleasant; the kitchen staff are efficient; our rooms are clean. They're always too cold when I first get there, but thank goodness we have full charge of the temperature.
Friendly and helpful reception. Room was as expected and clean. Pool was not that clean and fitness equipment was not fully functional. Breakfast was OK, but some items were not available anymore. Resupply was slow, so we did not have the full choice, I think.
We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating & efficient. It's a clean hotel. There's a super Walmart across the street along with many other stores & restaurants. Although we encountered bed bugs. We told the staff. Nothing was done besides cleaning it. We have pics & the GM is giving us a hard time about a refund. Her only response is, "I didn't find any bugs". I understand that bed bugs is a common thing in the hotel business, but the GM could have better customer care.
Terrible lumpy mattress. No room for wheelchair. My room was NOT ADA compliant. The toilet was so close to the wall that the rail mounted on the wall pushed into my ribs. The front desk clerk was friendly enough, but he couldn't do anything about the ADA problems. I made the reservations a month in advance and requested a ground floor handicap room. We arrived before 5 PM, but the only ADA room that was available was on the 2nd floor. The bathroom door could not be opened while standing in the entry way. There was less than 12 inches of clearance between the wall and the door. If you require a "mobility" room, do not stay here. The facility itself was clean.
Nice hotel with some updates. Nothing fancy but modest. The lobby had refreshments at all times which was a plus. The breakfast was amazing because they had tater-tots! The rooms were good size and they had pretty wall art. The bed was extremely comfortable but the walls are very thin. The arches in the main hallway have a nice touch with hanging light fixtures. The front desk staff were some of the friendly greeters ever.
Beds were hard & lumpy and pillows were also lumpy. Drains in tub & sink were very slow to drain, water was ankle deep in tub during shower. Breakfast area was dirty, trash can looked like the lid hadn't ever been cleaned. Breakfast was good.
Beautiful furnishings and very clean hotel. Indoor pool and workout facility. Great full breakfast. Wal-Mart right across the street. Near restaurants.Right off the interstate. What else would you Need?
Breakfast is from 6 to 9:30. We went down for breakfast at 8 and there was nothing left. Asked for more waffle mix and it took 15 min. for more to be brought out. Because of time we couldn't wait for more food to be cooked and had to pay for breakfast elsewhere. This added to the price of our stay and shouldn't have.
This was our first time staying at this hotel The staff was very friendly . The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was hot and very well stocked. Will stay there again if I am ever back in the area.
Nothing special but clean and comfortable bed and a nice breakfast. Even if you are passing trough, it you want a first floor room, make a reservation ahead of time. Let them know if you are coming in after 6 p.m.
Trucks park across the street at the Shell truck stop. Located near the freeway. Plenty of food options in walking distance. Don't have anything else to say. But, didn't get to the 200 character minimum yet.
This is our second stay at this hotel. Last visit was Memorial Day weekend 2016. This trip was the weekend after Memorial Day 2019. There were a few differences. Room: The room was clean but very humid. It was humid outside but I'm not used the inside being so humid. This caused a we smell to the air that I noticed every time we were gone and came back into the room. Turning the air conditioning down helped with the humidity and the we smell but made the room colder than we wanted. The bed is firm but ok. It is not uncomfortable I'm just used to a memory foam so it's a little too firm for my liking. Pillows are full size and comfy, sheets and blankets were clean, soft and comfortable. The furniture was all clean and in good condition. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and iron are all in room amenities and all were clean and in working order. Toilet seat needed better securing, tub was clean. Shower head wasn't great but water was hot. Towels were soft which isn't common in this range of hotel so big plus there JC Best Western! Hotel: Prices were appropriate for this level of hotel. Common areas well lit and clean without smells. Breakfast area was kept clean but had some unfinished furniture taking up the back area and lacked several items all three mornings. There is a toaster but no bread or bagels in the places labeled for such. There was no butter only a large tub of margarine. Back door needs a part and this is mentioned in other reviews so hopefully it will be fixed shortly. Staff: Every single person we dealt with, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning were great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. So not quite as good as 3 years ago but still not a bad stay and worth what we paid.
This hotel was in a great location just off I-70, very convenient. It was clean and the room was very nice. Beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Pets are welcome with a fee and it was located on a nice street for walking my dog. It was a good stop.
Great accommodations at a fair price based on surrounding competition. One of the better breakfasts in Junction City. Outstanding customer service and attentiveness. Washer and dryer are horrible on the ground level. Soap machine took my money and dryer is broken.
Wish the laundry machines were working and the back door key access. Overall, the room and staff great. Loved the comfort of the beds and pillows. Will stay here again if available for my next visit to Junction City.
Our stay was comfortable and staff was friendly. Even our little dog felt at home. We would stay again. It was close to great restaurants that we could walk too and sit outside with our dog. Breakfast was very good.
Hotel was dirty, Hair on carpet and sitting chair was sticky. Light over sink would not go out. Breakfast room was also dirty and eggs were dried out and old. Parking lot lights were not very bright. Would not stay here again. Staff does not appear staff cares about the hotel.
Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom toilet however was very loose and toilet water seeps from bottom of toilet into floor tile grout joints. eggs at Breakfast were gone at 7:10 AM and no one around to refill up to 7:30 when I left. No forks to eat with, Orange juice warm and very tart. No one wiping off tables. No one at front desk even when I went to check out. A morning ghost town. In other words - no customer service.
Decent Hotel with a good breakfast. Nothing special. Best part of the stay I thought was the coffee. I really like the Wolfgang Puck coffee. Nothing makes a stay better than knowing you have a great cup of coffee to wake up to.
Beware! This hotel DOES NOT have an elevator! The gal at the desk at check in (the only nice person who works there) apologized and mentioned that she wishes that when a reservation is made the customer would be told there is no elevator! Floor in room has areas that feel like your going to fall through. The curtain in the room has a big hole in it. The bathroom door does not close! Sheet on one of the beds had ink writing on it. Mattress was lumpy.
This BW was ok. Not one of the best. Feels like management has given up on it. Security was an issue to us, with back door being propped open w/ rock. Great location for travelers, close to restaraunts and Walmart. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable.
On a Spring cross country trip. This ia Good Pet Friendly Best Westerm. Pool is nice sized and warm. Full breakfast . Staff was friendly and helpful, Nwar restaurants including a good Kansas City style Barbeque place.
Great place to stay. Good service, nice rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Secure parking in well lit areas. We always ask for a second floor room - It's much quieter. They are always very accommodating for our pet.
When traveling, seek a clean and safe place to stay. Hopefully the rooms are quiet or the outside noise is minimal. While staying here at a sold out hotel, all of the above was met--clean, timely house keeping, felt safe, and rooms were very quiet.
Very accommodating for our group that needed breakfast earlier than the time it was supposed to open. Front desk staff that evening and early morning were very pleasant. Manager of this location was extremely helpful over the phone with our reservations. A super great job by them all!
This hotel is in a nice location. Easy to get to and had good resurants and some shopping close by. Breafast: wide variety of options hot and cold. Large room sizes. Doesn't have an elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up the stair.
Had to take care of some personal business and travel to Junction City the third time in two months. We chose the JCBW mainly for the price this time, this is the third hotel we stayed in, all in the same area. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable; the breakfast was outstanding and very unexpected. If we have to go back to JC we will definitely chose this hotel again.
I have stayed here for over a month. there are two employees that have went over and beyond their duties. The first one, Tara. She is exceptional in every problem encountered. we will gladly return without question. Thank you for everything! The other employee is Jasmine. I cant express my gratitude for both employees. again Thanks
We were able to stay in convenience and comfort. It was very quiet and clean. The workers are always very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with warm and cool choices. They don't seem to mind if we take a few plates, salt and pepper, forks, etc. back to the room.
I travel to Junction City 4 or 5 times a year. Always stay at least 4 days. I stayed at another hotel last trip. I won't make that mistake again. The Best Western J.C. Inn, was a lot friendlier, more attentive to customers. My trips are always business in the area. After a day of work, come back to the hotel, do some computer work, with a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Nothing better.
Breakfast was sub-par. Hot water for my tea had coffee grounds in it. Waffle mix had separated and only liquid came out. Spilled waffle mix was there the next day. Eggs were not hot. Biscuits were hard.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable. My only issue was that my reservation was lost. Could have been a total catastrophe if they had not had another room for me. I will have to confirm directly with the hotel next time as I did receive an email confirmation the day before.
This BW had a good breakfast, was clean and quiet. They also had a coin laundry , which we needed that night. The pool area looked clean and safe, although we didn't have time to use it. Our bathroom had plenty of supplies for us!
We found the staff to be extremely friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. However, the motel is in need of some updating. Carpeting in halls were a bit worn and some places where a little paint was needed. The breakfast was satisfactory as expected.
The location is easily accessible from I-70. The facility is a bit dated but charming and very clean. Fresh coffee is always available in the lobby/Staff were always pleasant and service was great. Would stay there again.
this was a great place to stay I would recommend to anyone. Clean rooms, great staff, good price. Thank you for making my travel more pleasant and for giving me a haven of safety while I traveled cross country!
When we arrived at the hotel at 6pm there was no one at the desk or anywhere around. A note on the desk said to use the pager on the phone but that rang busy. Two men came in after us and tried calling the hotel phone number. They reached the clerk who said she was tending to business upstairs and would be right down. She came down quickly but never apologized for the confusion and delay. The room was clean, the only problem was the too small toilet seat that meant your legs touched the cold porcelain. Breakfast was not good. Eggs were not warm enough, bread was old smelling and tasting, butter was a large block on a plate by the toaster used by all, and milk for the cereal had to be asked for. We have been happy with Best Western up to now but this was a disappointment.
The staff were friendly, but the room was dirty. The people staying before us must have had a dog, as there was dog food all over the floor. I'm pretty sure no one vacummed between guest. Yuck. The pool area was clean, but there were only a couple towels.
The room was nice and clean this is our second time staying in this hotel. We thought the staff was nice and friendly. We didn't care for three amenities of Junction City, KS. The town itself is a bit rough and a little bit hard to find good places to eat.
Very nice accommodations, staff was extremely pleasant and the hotel is an ideal location. Right off from I-70 & we walked to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Would definitely stay at Junction City Best Western again.
The front desk lady disappeared for over 30 minutes to take her puppy outside to go to the bathroom without taking the phone or a pager so we had no way of getting ahold of her to check out so when she finally came back in she didn't seem to care that five to 10 people waiting on her and caused us to be at least 45 minutes late to leave Plus poor puppy peed on the floor once they came back inside. Extremely unprofessional
On our cross country trips we always stop here. The hotel is pet friendly which is a major reason we choose this hotel. The facility is clean, comfortable, located near shopping and restaurants. Hwyway access is close and easily accessable. This trip we had the lluck to be greeted by Gena. She was wonderful at checking us in and making sure we were comfortable. We recommend this hotel !!
Upon Check-in Was Told Elevator Was Out Of Order; Being Disabled That Not Only Concerns Me But Other Disabled or Aged Guests. Also Was Quoted $20 Additional For My Trip - Was Charged $30. Not A Lot But Hey That Adds Up And Also Occurred At Other Best Westerns We Stayed At. Very Disappointed Considering Our Pet Is Very Clean and Didn't Add Any Burdens To Housekeeping Staff. In Short $30 Extra Is Excessive For Those Of Us On A Fixed Income.
This is an older hotel, but the management is doing a good job keeping it maintained. It looked like the walls have been painted fairly recently and the carpets were also pretty clean. Our room was very clean and the bedding looked fairly new. We stayed at this hotel to visit our grandson who is at Fort Riley. We would stay here again.
I was very pleased with the service provided, rooms were very comfortable and very clean, staff did an amazing job at making sure everything was taken care of,the breakfast was my favorite, Overall I had as always a pleasant stay.
The rooms were small, unclean and unhealthy. Smell permeated from air conditioner; housekeeping was non-existent. Attempts to rectify problems were met with unenthusiastic, undertrained and ill-prepared staff.
The hotel is a discount hotel, but we were very happy with our stay. The check-in lady was very nice and gave us tips of things to do in the surrounding area. The hotel and room were clean. The sheets and bed were very comfortable.
We made a last minute trip to the area to help our daughter clean up from the flooding in the Manhattan area a few weeks earlier. This Best Western offered a great price and the room was clean and comfortable plus it was only a few miles from her apartment. Internet was sufficient, shower pressure was fantastic, bed was comfortable. Breakfast options were the standard, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit (this day they had bananas and clemintines), yogurt, cereal, juices, and a waffle machine. If motel breakfasts are not your thing a Cracker Barrel is just down the street. Lots of other eating establishments in the area. The only negative, I am glad we aren't morning shower people because even after letting the water run for 5 minutes we had no hot water.
This hotel is very convenient to Walmart, gas stations, fast food and restaurants. It is right off the interstate exit. Staff of the hotel is very friendly. Breakfast is fresh and delicious with a variety of breakfast foods.
Good choice in between Salina and Toledo. Quiet area. Rooms good size. Beds comfortable and great shower. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. My only beef was that we were told the breakfast would be set out at 6:30. When I came down to load the car at 6:15 people were already eating. When we came at 6:30, the hot items were cold because they were not set out on hot trays. This is easily fixed and should be.
Hotel was clean, quiet, and nice for the price. Convenient to Fort Riley and only 15 -20 min from Manhattan. Close to food and shopping as well. Pool was warm and staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Arrived after sunset and departed before sunrise. Quiet area right off the highway. It is an exit down from the city with a gas station and another hotel across the street nothing else really around. Felt safe. The Corridor, lobby and rooms were extremely clean and neat. Definitely a gem for the price.
Our hotel room was supplied with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, front desk clerk knowledgeable and breakfast was fresh. I would come back to this hotel again. I was truly surprised at our room. So much more for the cost.
This was along I 70 and we were heading East. There are several restaurants and gas stations all around hotel and in walking distance. Hotel was having some door lock issue on the rear entrance and no cookies available. The room was clean, comfortable, and tv channels very good selections. Breakfast is good and set up was early. Overall a great location and sleep,
The hotel was nice. Clean, quiet, and very conveniently located to shopping and dining. The employees were GREAT. Caring, responsive, and a pleasure. The breakfast was good and better than most offered by hotels of this level.
This was a great hotel to stay at. The room was very clean, comfortable beds and great shower. The staff was very friendly and efficient! I would highly recommend! Convenient location right off I70. Did not get to enjoy the pool but it looked nice. Great breakfast also
Traveling 21 nights and we can always count on Best Western for clean, spacious rooms and breakfast is a perk that saves time and money! We looked forward to each night having a relaxing dinner nearby and then relaxing in or near the pool.
We stopped here on our way home from vacation. Since we did not plan far in advance we called on our way and reserved 2 rooms. The kids were able to swim in the pool and had it all to themselves. The water was warm and it was nice to be able to sit and relax while the kids burned off energy. The breakfast was good & had lots of options so everyone left full. The staff was very friendly & helpful. If I am in Junction City again I would stay here.
Clean, good location and reasonably priced. Room did smell like cigarette smoke though. The breakfast was decent and the employees were pleasant. The only complaints were the door in the back going into the hotel was never secured. It was broken so anyone could get in at anytime and the grounds needed some maintenance.
Good value nice room with good bed, Good Breakfast. The only drawback was the lack of places to eat in Junction City The staff was very helpful. It was a good location for getting off and on t0 I70.Would recommend it .
We were back in town for one night. This hotel was chosen for us. The was a smell in the lobby that thank God didn't carry to our room. Great location. All of the amenities worked. Other than the smell, i would say it was clean. Breakfast was decent. Totally can't complain. If you are passing through yeah, go ahead and stay if it's cheaper.
It was a place to stay while we visited family in the area. Pool was closed when we checked in. Clerks were not at front desk ofter people had to page them and or wait. Floors were dirty. AC didn't cool room, maint had to work on it. I asked the cleck if it was American owned when we checked in she would not answer. There wasn't a Bible in the room. When we went to check out there was no one at the desk. We hit the pager button 5 times and waited 30 minutes before leaving a note to send our receipt. Not on my list of places to stay.
This is a safe place to stay. The staff is very nice. However this hotel is in desperate need of a rennovation. The carpet and common areas smell of mildew and mold. Room was comfortable mattresses are hard.
Lobby was very warm. People that work there must be uncomfortable. I was just standing there and was sweating. Staff was very nice. Great breakfast, even though it was pretty warm in there already. This was at 8am.
Of the 4 Best Western places we stayed, this was the biggest disappointment. The desk clerks were very kind and helpful, however......Early June and the pool is closed for maintenance????? Toilet and tub area very poorly lit. No tray to hold Ice bucket with wrong lid and therefore condensation water all over the TV shelf the next morning. Paper-thin blanket on bed......had to use towels for warmth in order to sleep in a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was pretty good, no actual butter or yogurt offered.
We had a good stay...the people were friendly, the food was hot and good, the pool was relaxing...we would definitely stay again...we liked how close all the stores were to the hotel. Didn't take us long to travel anywhere, very convenient!
A nicely appointed room with excellent wifi and a good shower. The A/C unit was noisy. Fortunately, it cooled down enough that night that I was able to get by with just the fan setting. Some street noise and some unruly neighbors slamming doors at all hours, but I still managed to sleep well. Nice staff and a good location.
will be staying here on my next trip. breakfast was plentiful and a large selection. walkable to other locations by the hotel. would recommended to family and friends. customer satisfaction at it's best.
Great and pleasurable staff, great breakfast as well. Close to everything, Walmart, tons of restaurants. Do not recommend the Family Buffet and La Fiesta restaurants nearby. Find somewhere else to eat please!!!! You will thank us!
The Jacuzzi didn't work and we weren't told before trying to use it also there was some plumbing noises throughout the stay. It was convenient to the highway. The breakfast was just alright. Not sure if I will stay there again.
Room and breakfast and internet and cable were fine. Fully up to expectations on all those items. (Pool also looked good, though we didn't get a chance to use it.) Front desk could use some more organization. Mix-up in check-in and check-out.
have always been happy with this best western. needed to use them for family this weekend and found them far below standards we have been used to. however Tracy Jones,in a caring attitude, took care of everything and made us happy. Everyone has problems at times, its how they take care of the problems that matter. this best western did wonderful.
Nice clean large cat friendly room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.Bed was hard and pillows big and very soft (pro or con, depending what you like!) Very noisy air conditioner/fan with limited settings, so was either really cold or warm. I'd probably stay here again anyway.
I used my points for my first night's stay and unlike another Best Westerns, they made NO mistakes on my card. I used cash for the next night. This is one of the best Best Westerns in which I have stayed. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are very clean. The rooms even have soft-backed chairs! The mattress is quite soft. They are also very quick and friendly in fulfilling special requests like leaving the soft chair pointing at the TV. The breakfast is hot and huge even with tater tots! Yes, I said tater tots! I have not utilized it yet but they even have an indoor pool and a Jacuzzi room! There is just one very slight complaint. You have to point the remote a certain way to change the TV channels. But other than that, it is and has been a fantastic stay! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I think we could have gotten a more reasonable rate somewhere else. The most expensive of the 6-7 motels we stayed in, a lovely Lovely room. what else do you want? We were tired and the motel was quiet.
Our son and his family live in JC... we enjoy visiting them on a regular basis... inn other words -- -we will be seeing you again -- soon I hope! It was incredible to find such a wonderful location that would allow us to bring our senior citizen dog.... (blind, diabetic, etc.)
We came from WI with our truck & trailer because it was cold there. We stopped in Junction city and saw a Best Western. It's the preferred hotel for Harley riders. Was very happy we stayed. Very comfortable.
Our stay was amazing! We only had minor problems with our door trying to die but even that was a huge issue and staff was VERY helpful! The breakfast was good and the overall environment was friendly and welcoming.
Clean & front desk was friendly & helpful. Bed was comfortable, only disappointment was that all the pillows were very firm & thick. Sometimes motels have a variety so people like me can chose a softer, flat pillow. Our room was large & shower had lots of water pressure. There was plenty of towels & they were nice quality. Breakfast area was clean but a little more sparse than the Best Western we stayed at the night before. I thought the pet fee of $20 was a little high, but I know from experience some motels charge that. Overall was a nice place.
Front desk staff knows the area and is easy to work with. Vickie and Monica helped cancel a reservation we made when we had car problems. They made us feel welcome after a long day and suggested where we could eat and get auto parts. Thank you!
Traveling with our cat. Many hotels claim to be pet-friendly but only allow dogs or service animals. The Best Western in Junction City allows cats. The hotel was easy to find. The room was spacious, clean & quiet. Breakfast was on par with most other hotels. There is a Walmart directly across the street. Hotel staff were very polite & helpful. I would stay here again.
This was a nice clean facility. The staff was extremely friendly. It had a good continental breakfast -- fruit, waffles, cereal, etc. There were places near by to eat, and if you forgot anything, Walmart was across the street. There was coffee and water available all the time.
Never had such wonderful service anywhere else I've stayed!! I would highly suggest anyone that is traveling to stay here! The staff is very pleasant and helpful! I will always stay there whenever I go to Kansas!!
Clean comfortable room, great bed, hot shower, TERRIFIC food, DESK SERVICE Monica, is the best she is terrific, great hotel except. Its pet friendly, dogs across the hall barked for hours, we had to move because the owners were smokers and on oxygen had to have that room, could not move them. No elevator so we had to haul all our stuff up stairs and I'm 74 so there is that. Once up stairs, at 5am another dog across the hall started up. At this point, pet friendly is not the hotel I need. Monica adjusted our bill, and we made the best of it. Leave your damn ankle biter at home or at kennel.
The value for this stay was amazing and the location was very convenient. Value included a great room, comfortable beds, enough space, welcoming workers and a good hot breakfast. However not allowing me to submit my review because it was only 160 words was not welcomed well.
The facility has easy access to the Hwy and was well kept. The staff was friendly and understands customer service; especially, Monica (at the front desk). I really enjoyed my stay. Although I didn't eat breakfast at the facility it smelled great. I was there visiting my son who serves in the US Army and chose to eat with him daily.
Only thing I dislike was the blankets we're not heavy enough other than that I had a wonderful stay.plus right spot everything like stores and restaurant were at our finger tips. Also had fun in the pool. It was warm and relaxing
I stayed for a girls birthday party. We had 5, 9 year old girls. The staff was more then helpful for us. Any small things that came up they were quick to address them. The rooms were clean, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast was better then many high profile hotels that I've stayed at! Would definitely stay here again for even just a short getaway in town.
Great accommodations, friendly desk clerk and staff . The best part of all was allowing pets. The location of the facility was nice as well it is right off of the interstate very easy to find. The desk clerk was very friendly and provided us with suggestions of local restaurants.
This property & staff is not up to the standards we receive at other Best Westerns. Staff didn't seem to care; food was poor; better than some other brands but not Best Western quality! A real disappointment! Won't go back.
This was an unexpected find on the way from Minnesota. I have a pet- so is pet friendly and they don't gouge you like other locations with a deposit and an outrageous fee. They go by how many pets and weight. I had a nine pound dog and only paid10 dollars. Others paid 20 or 30 dollars - but they had large dogs. So it's nice I didn't have to pay 75 dollars on top of my room fee. The rooms are spacious and just overal nice. The staff is helpful and friendly. Plus a great location and a nice walking path. Just please pick up after your pet to keep it nice for everyone else. That was my only complaint- but those are other people and not a reflection of the hotel.
Awesome place to stay. Very clean breakfast was wonderful that's the main reason we stopped here. Hot breakfast . Will stop here again. Check in was quick and painless. Beds are comfy and lots of pillows nice well lit parking lot. Pool area very nice. Very clean n cold frig. Microwave and a big flatscreen tv. We relaxed and watch tv till we fell out.
I booked the hotel online with no problem above arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful, this was the second time we stayed there. Breakfast was good and hot the four days we were there. The kids loved the heated pool.
Great staff. Great rooms. Convenient location. The breakfast, as in most any motel, is very basic and not really an item I feel the need to expound on. The motel is close to some points of interest. I confidently recommend the Junction City KS Best Western.
Booked this for a one night stay and was very pleased with the over all service. Just off the interstate and not too far from Manhattan made it a good stop. Food and other services are close by so it was convenient the next morning to get all I needed for the next part of my trip. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi had good speed. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Would stay here again.
This motel was clean with comfy beds and a good breakfast! We stayed here on our way to Denver and had no problem with our late check in. The staff was courteous and the hotel is easy to find from the highway. The only drawbacks is the lack of an elevator and our room, right above the front desk, was a bit noisy. We would stay here again.
We stayed here at our arrival two years ago to JC and decided to stay here as we were moving to another state. And they didn't disappoint ! However the pet fee is a little excessive. I think a flat rate vs per pet per night rate would be way more affordable ! The pet fee costed more than the room !
My stay in Junction City, KS was a very pleasant experience. Staff were courteous and helpful, rooms were very clean and comfy, breakfast attendant very sweet lady, love the breakfast with so much variety to pick from. I stay here every time I come to Junction City. You just couldn't find a better place to stay.
Extremely friendly staff. Pool very relaxing. Rooms very clean. Great breakfast. Way staff went out of way is wonderful. Near many food establishments, fuel stop, WalMart, and more; all right off I-70. Great Value for $. Worth the stay. Beds I rate 9 out of 10. Pillows just to high for comfortable sleeping, but others may enjoy.
This is a great hotel & the price is very reasonable. The staff was over-the-top friendly, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was very, very good. Their scrambled eggs were made from real eggs. The room was quiet & very clean & the bed was comfortable, I highly recommend you stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
Hotel is close to I70, easy in and out, good breakfast. Convenient to many restaurants and retail store if you need anything. Quiet and comfortable. I would rather not see political tv with breakfast.
I typically never do review's unless a place is just terrible. Having said that this will probably be my first positive review. Every employee ive encountered at this best western has made it feel homie. While its the only hotel ive been to in Junction City its not the onky hotel ive ever been to. For a great price i never felt the need or want to try another hotel near by.
There is a lot of grass and easily accessible to take your animals out. The room we had, had a jacuzzi in the room. We also got the room cheaper than normal. The breakfast was yummy and the location of the hotel is great, it has many food options and Wal-Mart across the street.
My son lives in the area and when we visit him again, we will stay at this hotel. Location is convenient to many things, they allow pets and have free breakfast every morning. The facility is clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
This is a great hotel to stay while attending the KSU football games! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. It is a pet friendly hotel which is wonderful when we travel with our dog. We look forward to our next stay!
Was met with a friendly reception. You enter the rooms from the inside hall. The room was clean, had adequate lighting and plenty of instant hot water. Somewhat quiet. Some road noise but was able to get a good nights sleep. However, barking dogs on the main level were noisey prior to bedtime. Breakfast was the usual but laid out nicely and not cramped.
The staff in the evening and in the morning were very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great, fresh scrambled eggs that were not powder. Two types of waffles to make. The location was perfect for what I was there for. There is lots of places to eat near by.
Selected J. C. Inn because I am a Best Western member and was able to use points for a one night stay while traveling. The location of the hotel is great coming off the interstate. Once inside the hotel it is a bit disappointing. The room had a sour smell to it and there were nail clippings on the floor by the chair. Not a very welcoming impression. The entire place was in need of an update. The carpet had a sticky feel to it, and paint was chipping. We were only in the room overnight and found the bed to be comfortable, and the a/c unit provided a nice hum through the night. Breakfast was hot and ready in the morning. More tables and chairs were needed, as people had to stand to eat. Since we only needed a place to sleep for the night our needs were meant. But next time we will probably try one of the other hotels at the same exit.
We normally stay with family, but decided on a hotel. Location was easy to get to. Walked in and the front desk staff was very welcoming! So nice and checked right in. Breakfast "wow"; hot - yummy!!. Our room - the bed and pillows we so good :) the air was on when we arrived, so adjusted slightly and had a great night sleep!
The staff was extremely helpful, the hotel was clean and the amenities were adequate. The breakfast was good. Even though the hotel was completely full, it was pretty quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.
We love staying here during our visits to Manhattan. The hotel is only about 20 minutes from the Kansas State University campus, and significantly cheaper than Manhattan hotels. The drive from Junction City to Manhattan is gorgeous and worth every minute.
Very good breakfast - real scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy good, clean sleeping room, comfortable bed, computer in lobby to check emails made it convenient, did not use the pool but it looked refreshing. I recommend it.
Passing through need a place to have dinner and then sleep. Good place across the street to eat. And good hotel with friendly staff. Had to leave early wanted some breakfast they had it ready. And The breakfast was very good
We were needing a stop after a long day of driving returning home from a family funeral. The gal working the front desk was very friendly and engaged in conversation outside of just her business role to our check-in. She was personable and welcoming in her demeanor and interested in me as a person, not just a number. Great face on the establishment. The bed and room were very comfortable and we had a great restful night to refresh for the road the next day. The lady who took care of the breakfast supplies/food was very efficient and kept things well stocked, fresh and clean and appealing in appearance. Great breakfast. Awesome stop and stay.
You'll not meet nicer people working at a hotel/motel. Marina, who worked the reception desk and checked us in, was so very helpful. She was engaging, courteous and professional. Made us feel so welcomed. Room was very nice, clean and updated. Location was nicely convenient. But again, the customer service was The Best.
It's a good place to stay. The breakfast is good although the bagels are tiny. There is a good Mexican restaurant withing walking distance too. The staff is helpful. Be sure to book in advance because they are usually full.
excellent service, tv wasn't working and the manager moved us to a room with a working tv, breakfast was very good. Didn't need the exercise room, or pool on this trip. Parking was convenient and resturants were in walking distance.
Not excited about stay due to my non smoking room changed over to a non-smoking room by putting a plaque on the door. It was obviously with a long history of being a smoking room and had intensive smell in the bed and upholstery. It was as unpleasant as I would ever want to do.....
Within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and gas. The room was clean, bathroom spacious and the king size bed was just right. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds was clean and the receptionist was great. Definitely will stay next time we are in Junction City, KS
Staff very friendly. Worked to get us a room change when we learned another family member would be joining us. Breakfast was very nice! And this hotel does not price gouge. We will stay here when we return to sight see later on.
The room wasn't cleaned very well, the shower head leaked even though it had tons of pressure. The price was very high for quality. The morning lady working was to distracted by her game to notice I was standing there waiting on my receipt. The tea in the lobby was bad.
Stayed here on way to Colorado. Easy access off interstate easy friendly check-in. Clean room with nearby places to eat. One side of hotel is next to field the other is hotel parking and a vacant business! A/C worked well and had a quiet nights sleep which is always good when traveling. Breakfast was at 6am. Would stay here again!
Front desk staff a bit rough around the edges but nice. Rooms are updated nicely. Breakfast area is nice with good selections - not the best ever, but certainly adequate. Good for the price. I have to write at least 200 characters so here they are!
A place you can always stay feeling homely touch and the great smile from all employees will definatley will make your day. This was my 3rd stay with this motel, dont know its because its franchised now. I must add here for oustanding help by front desk clerk, Miss Tanya M. White, Her personal commitment to excellence will inspired others to push past mediocrity that I saw in my previous 2 stays. They are changed because of you and the guidance of your management. The printer at the business centre wasn't printing and realising my urgency and frustration, she helped me to print out for her office desktop for my next morning meeting. Doing a good job is not always about impressive innovation. Sometimes it is only about doing something with plain dedication. Well done. But I am sure I can highly recommend this motel while you are in the area.
We used BW on our way to Denver via Salina. All amenities were excellent with the exception of the very soft and bouncy bed. Breakfast offerings were good, but I would like to have seen more fruit options.
Rates were affordable and staff friendly. Could use better sound proofing on the walls (i.e. you can hear all the showers turning on near your room in the morning). Clean and plenty of space to spreadout.
Great Place!! One of the Best Breakfasts I have had, great selection. Clean, very friendly hotel staff. They do need to change pillows they are way overstuffed. Beds a little hard for my preference, not horrible. Would stay again!!+)
Clean room, comfortable bed and room as a whole; breakfast was nice; great staff - they were warm, very helpful and made sure everything was right. We'd definitely check out this hotel again next time we're traveling this direction. Great night
This is an older property but very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was more than adequate...clean and comfortable and the bed gave me a great night of rest.. I was very pleased with the breakfast selections. Over all a most pleasant experience.
This hotel is perfect - great location and easy access to I-70 and restaurants and stores. Staff are very helpful and friendly and professional. Hotel is clean and quiet. Hats off to this site. Job well done!
Very comfortable room, rooms toward the back of hotel were very quiet. Many construction workers with their trucks, so parking was a little tight. Staff could not have been more gracious to us and our two small dogs. Everyone slept well!
My wife and I were greatly impressed with the level of service when we arrived at 6pm. The young Lady that checked us in was friendly and funny. I hope to have that great service know matter where I go, I do know it will be hard to BET.
Location off the interstate was good. Room was clean and had a good night's sleep. Staff was very friendly upon check in and check out. After check in we walked to Freddys right next door. Breakfast items were the normal fare. Only hotel that we stayed at that had the Animal Planet on the TV. It was actually a welcome change from watching the Weather Channel or the news of the day for breakfast. When we go on vacation we want to relax and get away from the negative depressing news of the day. We would stay here again.
The hot breakfast will better than the normal Best Western breakfast. The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms was excellent and the breakfast staff was outstanding. I plan to stay at this motel when ever I need a stop along interstate 70 in central Kansas.
This was our first stay here. We were blown away by the service. An immediate upgrade when I resisted climbing stairs to our room. And the room we were given even had a jacouzi. The breakfast was pretty normal.
We booked this room for our recent trip to JC since this was right off the highway and very convenient to the event we were attending. We were pleasantly surprised. Even though booked full, the hotel was relatively quiet as was our room. The room smelled great and was very clean and A/C was nice and chilly. The staff from check-in to check-out were very courteous. They also have a free fabulous hot breakfast! A++++! :-)
Good overnight stay. We're on a motorcycle trip and we're glad we could walk to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Facility was clean and offered an outstanding breakfast assortment. The exercise room was above average. We experienced a problem with a clogged tub drain but the staff was quick to resolve the problem. Would definitely stay there again.
Need better beds, breakfast, employees need to be friendly/knowledgeable. The rates are high for the service. We came to see our son home from being in South Korea for 9 months and 3 weeks with the Army. We didn't sleep good at all and the breakfast was awful and the employees didn't know what they were doing.
We arrived late and found the hotel to be neat, clean, comfortable, friendly and reasonable. All good qualities that we look for in a hotel. We would definitely stay here again if travel plans to us through the area again.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accommodating, we were there for a conference and all the hotels in the area were booked. The staff at BestWestern J.C. Inn went above and beyond for us. The room was updated, clean and comfortable. Their hot full breakfast was very good with enough variety for anyone to enjoy. Our children really enjoyed the heated pool that was actually comfortably heated. We will definitely be returning!
Great place to stay in Junction City Kansas. They have breakfast. It includes eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy. There are also lots of selections of breakfast cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc... You can also cook waffles. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. Property is clean and well-maintained
Never got 7 AM wake up call we requested- when asking Front Desk person why no call, she said OOPS and laughed it off- also asked for a copy for our bill but was informed we could not have one due to reservation made on-line- also tried to get Front desk several times in evenings but phone just rang and rang
This place has a beautiful lobby to check in as well as the décor and quality of the room. The price is good considering I had paid a lot more for less room elsewhere. The breakfast was quite good and fresh. Great experience.
everything was very good. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast was good. There were no problems with the room. The internet was excellent. The beds were comfortable. the television service was fine.
Nice place, friendly staff. Several restaurants near by. Convient to interstate and very close to down town. Bed was even more comfortable than usual. Good internet. Would definately recommend or stay again.
Do not waste your money or time on this hotel, sleeping in your car would be better, only thing I can say good about the place is breakfast was ok. The staff needs extensive training to be able to even check you in properly.
When I checked in I discovered that I had a room on the 2nd floor and that the hotel has no elevator. This information should be disclosed on the website. When I got to the room I discovered that it was not the type of room I had reserved. I had reserved a room with 1 queen bed and this room was a king bed Jacuzzi room. The hotel might consider this an upgrade but I do not. The Jacuzzi just took up space and made the room feel cramped. The only ice machine in the hotel was on the 1st floor and I consider this an inconvenience. The repairs that had been done to the walls, ceiling, and doors were done poorly. The window had a large crack and missing piece of the frame. You could hear water running in adjacent rooms and noise from outside. The side door from the parking lot did not always close securely creating a security risk. The hair dryer in the room was about to fall off the wall due to a missing screw.
Was tired of driving for 14 hours and stopped here with no call and no reservation. You never know what type of place you will get but would stay here again. Had a room with 2 double beds also had microwave, refrigerator, very large bathroom. Side chair, desk. Room was nice and clean. Wasn't horribly hot when we got to the room so the AC didn't take long to cool it down at all. Was a good place to stop and would stay here again if need arises! Even gave us a discount at checkin.
This Best Western is in a good location that is easy to get to and close to restaurants that are within walking distance. When we checked in, the desk clerk (Robert) double checked with us that we had requested a smoking room, which we didn't. He was able to accommodate us and give us a non-smoking room, which we greatly appreciated. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Both the hotel lobby and our room were very clean. Rates were extremely reasonable. This is a great place to stay.
I was a AAA Best Western Rewards member, just got my card and wanted to try it so I called while on the road. They said they don't honor the discounts. We stayed at Quality Inn instead. They should rethink that, I will take my business elsewhere and delete the card.
This location was very nice and clean, friendly, courteous, and the breakfast bar was VERY GOOD! With a large variety of selections to choose from. The only complaint that either myself or my husband had, was the fact that there was no elevator, and we were on the second floor & we both are senior citizens, so this was somewhat of an inconvenience for us with our luggage. Someone to help seniors get their belongings to the second floor would be a much appreciated asset to this location.
A middle of the road stay in terms of quality... At a fairly cheap price. There were some stains on the decorative bed coverlet (ick). Room had a funky smell ( though it was clear they had tried to address it with some deodorizer.) The rooms have been remodeled at some point. For good or bad...there are some designated smoking rooms. And you'll smell that as you walk down the halls. No elevator to 2nd floor. Takes pets.
I mainly have an issue with the fact that we paid with a different card than the one that we placed on hold, but it charged me anyway causing my account to go negative and leading to an over-drafting fee. I would call about it, but the front desk lady seemed like she had a lot going on, and I do not want to inconvenience her.
We enjoyed our stay at your motel. We alwaus like to stay at Best Westerns, and was very special. It was very clean and tidy and the personnel were very polite and efficient. Thank you. We will tell our friends about your Best Western.
Though this is not a stand out hotel, it doesn't really have anything to complain about either. Hotel is fairly new, clean, comfortable, quiet, and has a good breakfast. Breakfast area is a little cramped. We didn't use pool but it looks nice. Coffee, tea, water, and pretzels available at all times. What's not to like. No paper, if that makes a difference.
Clean hotel with nice size rooms. Newer furniture & updates. Haven't stayed in a Best Western Hotel in years, but thought we would try it based on ratings. We were not disappointed. We will stay here again.
My wife and I had a very comfortable stay at this motel after a hard day of driving I-70. Access from the interstate was easy. Breakfast was excellent again. Check in and check out was easy. The king size bed was very comfortable.
This was our 3rd time to stay at this hotel and we will definitely be back! It is a very short drive to the KSU football games and the cost to stay is very reasonable. The hotel is usually full with KSU fans so it makes the stay fun to meet others.
We stayed here while visiting friends at Fort Riley. We were pleasantly surprised by the updated room decor and the nice HOT shower. The indoor heated pool was nice to relax in after a day on the road.
This was our second time to visit Ft. Riley and both times we stayed at this hotel. Swimming pool is great. Nice touch of providing iced water and coffee in lobby 24/7. Susan the manager is very attentive to problems and issues. Staff were friendly in the hallways. Bed was great and it was easy to control room temperature. The double dark curtains are a plus. Family is being stationed elsewhere, but if they ever return to Ft. Riley, we'll definitely choose BW again.
We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were nice and up to date-good shower. The breakfast was good with a lot of selections. The hot food could have been a little warmer and the hostess was not friendly. I used the treadmill and the fitness center was adequate. I would stay here again, but would hope the breakfast hostess would be more personable. Both of the desk clerks I dealt with were friendly. I would stay here again.
Nice Best Western as far as clean and reasonable price. Must not be much insulation in the walls and ceiling because we could hear every footstep & the neighbors voices. The people upstairs must have been bowling until late. Breakfast room very small. Not much seating. Very noisy. Had to sit in the lobby. Maybe it was just the weekend. Don't know but be cautious if you stay here.
really nice town, has a really good church that is a must see. if all America would visit Faith tabernacle it would change our country, it was a mix of Blacks, White , Hispanic and it was a praying church, after Tuesday night service went to a local restaurant and it was also great , Abilene KS also was nice , will go back sometime to see the presidential library
I totally recommend staying here. A safe friendly place with a pool to enjoy. We will plan to stay here again. But you do require to many characters for the review. Because of that I almost skipped the review.
The pros are that it's close to the interstate and that the room looks very nice and up to date. I loved the lamp by the bed; very modern. The shower head was the big nice kind with many options and the water pressure was very strong. Also our room was very clean, aside from the carpet, which turned my child's feet black. In all, the cons I experienced outweighed the pros. The no elevator thing was a minor inconvenience I read about before I booked, so, I was not surprised. The thing that affected me the most was that the room was a cold damp and It was hard to sleep feeling like everything was wet. I adjusted the air conditioner several times even putting on the heat to try to get rid of that weird feeling but it didn't work. It was like someone had a huge humidifier on full blast. It made my bed feel wet. I slept very poorly and woke up with a sore throat. The beds were OK, but I can't say comfortable since we all woke up sore. The next thing was the toilet seat. It was too small for the toilet and didn't fit right so it was all loose and wobbly. Just uncomfortable. And finally, the overwhelming smell of cleaning solution seeping into my room in the morning was hard to handle. I love the idea of a clean hotel but it was so strong it was burning my nose. Second floor needs an exhaust or open a window and use a fan. Walking into the hallway I had to hold my breath. Everyone I encountered was very friendly, even the cleaning lady that used a key to come into our room (without knocking first) apologized for walking in on us. I slept so poorly that I can't recommend this hotel. I'm not sure if the extreme dampness was something that can be fixed, if it was the unit or the building or just that room, but something was definitely wrong.
This was our first stay at this Best Western and was surprise, how clean and effect the staff was. The breakfast was outstanding and we would go back to this Hotel if we are ever in the area. The city was not big, but the location was great. If you are planning to visit Fort Riley or the area around there. Please stay at this location.
Nice free breakfast. Clean rooms and friendly staff. We always return to this hotel. The pool is clean and warm. Bed was very comfortable. For the area, I think it may be a little overpriced in comparison with the other local hotels.
We stayed in a double queen room which was very nice and comfortable. The staff were great. Everyone had a smile and asked if we needed any assistance and told us not to hesitate calling the front desk if we needed anything.
No problems with booking, checking in or out. Hotel was quiet, and clean. We had a dog and had no problems with him. There was plenty of grass for him to run around in. Breakfast was standard, nothing special but satisfies basic need. Our only issue was our bathroom and the hall smelled like cigarette smoke. No big deal, though.
Only a few blocks off I-70, this BW is in a great location--several good restaurants nearby (including a great BBQ place--ask at the desk). Up to the standards I've come to expect from the BW chain: friendly staff, nice rooms, nice breakfast. Only flaw: TV channels were pretty sparse--missing some of the commonly provided ones. But don't let that stop you. Pluses far outweigh the only minus.
I saw the reviews and picked this place , good choice. The girl at the counter was really nice and knew her job. Ice tea and coffee in the lobby. The room was clean with fridge and microwave. Comfy queen bed and right off the highway. I70. The breakfast had eggs potatoes tortillas chobani yogurt fruit waffles an more.
Hotel clean, but needs to be renovated. Beakfast items were hot, cut typical that of hotel free breakfast. All in all, fair value for the money, but have stayed at better appointed Best Westerns. Will stay here again if visitig the same city.
nice quiet room it could use an elevator. the room was nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The pool was very clean and inviting, but I didn't use it. There was nice coffee in the room, and plenty of towels. I like the location. It was near the hiway, but you couldn't hear it. There is also lots of shopping and a variety of places to eat.
After a long day of driving it was nice to be greeted with a smile and a glass of iced tea!!! There was tea, water, and pretzels out for guests checking in. Our room was on the first floor and it was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the little square pillows. They are hard to sleep with. We left early the next morning but was able to get some juice and muffins from the breakfast bar 1/2 hour before they officially opened. There was a pool, but no time to use it. Was Mart across the street for anything you need( it was older and not very clean though) lots of food choices close by. Would definitely stay again.
Nice and clean place. Comfortable beds and a decent indoor pool. My only complaints were the ac unit was kind of noisy, and there's no elevator. Might keep that in mind if staying on the 2nd floor. Right across the street from a Walmart with several fast food places in close proximity as well.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our only problem was managing to get the suitcases up a flight of stairs. No assistance was offered. Breakfast was great with a good choice of food, the tables were clean and everything was kept tidy.
This was nice quick stop on our way home from out west. The bed was comfortable with adequate pillows. Check in was short and sweet other than when I walked in lady at the desk saw me but continued to vacuum until she was finished, which was probably was only a minute but after 14 hours of driving it felt like forever.
We had stayed here on the way to Colorado and then stayed again on the way back. The room we were given on our return trip could have been better. The bath tub had a crack in it, the shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it and I pulled the a/c filter out and cleaned it due to no air coming out because the filter was plugged. The ironic part was that this room was directly across the hall on the main floor from the laundry /house keeping room. On the plus side the staff was friendly and the breakfast in the morning was very well presented and good. They are pet friendly as well.
Hotel, room, bed all have seen some wear and tear. BW Facility in Manhattan KS was much nicer. Too many people barefoot at breakfast...attendant not present at breakfast. Bare feet and food don't mix.
We stayed one night at this hotel. The desk receptionist seemed so pleased to see us. The hotel provided a pre check-in with choice of room for Honors members. We quickly were handed our key card and invited to a reception beginning at 5:30. What a pleasant surprise. We left early the next morning and they provided us with a bag breakfast. The room was clean and smarltly furnished. In addition, the airconditioning was quiet. We had a very comfortable evening and night.
The title says it all. The room was nice and clean with a modern look. The lobby area was a little small, but there's plenty of sitting room for the free breakfast for the next day, which has plenty to choose from. The area is quaint and the downtown is something to visit. Just a nice little find. Best rate in the area if planning a trip with pets.
Traveled to Ft. Riley to surprise our son when he returned from deployment. We were pleasantly surprised, hotel very nice, clean rooms, great breakfast choices each morning. Grandson enjoyed swimming in indoor pool, the only negative was smell of chlorine. The staff were very friendly and helpful; we decided to stay an extra night and they arranged for us to stay in the same room. Location was great, near restaurants & Wal-Mart. Would definitely stay here again.
there was a rotten, foul, egg smell when the sink water was ran. It was bad. I had to purchase air freshener just to counteract it. the beds were a little lumpy but the breakfast was good and the location was good as well. the staff was friendly, I didn't get to try the pool I overheard the staff saying there was an issue with it.
Travel to Ft. Riley several times a year. I mostly stay at BW hotels if they meet my standard. This is a nice clean, easily accessible Hotel with many conveniences very close by. It's right off the Interstate and close to Ft. Riley.
great service, dog friendly, great breakfast spread & close to the eateries in Junction City. Very clean, like a Hampton Inn :) Super friendly & accommodating staff :) We enjoyed the hotel very much!!!!
We stayed Friday-Monday on Memorial Day Weekend 2016. The hotel was full and there were many guests there for some type sporting event involving teenagers and their parents. We expected a full hotel due to the holiday so this was not an issue at any point. The staff at check in, check out, breakfast and housekeeping were all wonderfully polite and efficient. The hotel common areas were clean, without odor, well lit and nice looking. There was a heated pool indoors, an exercise room, self serve washer/dryer, ice machine and snack/cola machines. Breakfast area was clean, well lit and included news on the TV for anyone interested. The food was really good and included cold cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal, waffles, several toppings for the waffles and oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, sausage gravy, mini muffins, bread for toast, bagels, pastries, yogurt, cream cheese, jellies and butter, coffee, milk and juice. Due to my husband's health requiring no stairs and a little extra room for his breathing equipment, we had a handicap room. Although I believe they offer several different combinations ours was a queen bed with a roll in shower. The bed was adequate but could have been more comfortable for me. This is a matter of taste though, not quality, it was comfortable to my husband. I did not wake up stiff or hurting, just wasn't like home ya know. Linens were soft and smelled nice without overwhelming dryer sheet smell like we've experienced other places. The pillows are small but they were comfortable and worked well. The other furniture, although not matching, was clean and comfortable. There was an armoire with an iron and ironing board and a luggage rack inside. The strange thing was that there was no rod in it (or elsewhere in the room) to hang clothes. We left one of the doors open and hung our clothes on the top of the unit. It was odd but it worked. The room had lots of plugs for computer and phone chargers or whatever you might need to plug in. The TV was nice. There was a microwave and fridge that came in very handy. The bathroom was large enough for a wheelchair if needed. The showerhead could not be placed in such a way that the floor did not get very wet. But when I asked for extra floor mats to fix this issue it was not a problem at all. Again the staff was courteous and quick to help. There were only two bad parts of our stay. 1) The Wi-Fi. It was EXTREMELY slow. We ran a speed test, as we always do on Wi-Fi, and the restaurant we ate lunch at one day had faster than this hotel. It was not acceptable to be called high speed by any means. 2) The parking lot is small and only has 2 handicap parking spots. As they were not always available I believe they have more than 2 handicap spots. These were not deal breakers by any means, just things worth pointing out in a review. Overall we were very happy with our stay and we would, if ever back in the area, stay here again. I can not say this too much......The staff is wonderful!
we enjoyed the pool, it wasn't big but it was warm and felt great after a long trip. And the breakfast was great and plentiful. Really good eggs and bisquits and gravy. Yummy food. The staff was helpful in finding us scissors for a bunch of tired flower stalks we were going to present to someone. And they made us feel welcome.
Great Hotel, Great staff. We were on our way back to Arizona and were stopping along the way. There was no other reason to stop only that we were tired and wanted a great place to spend a restful evening. the next morning after a great breakfast we were on our way to the next stop. we enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here on our last night at Fort riley/Junction city area. The staff was super friendly. My daughter locked bathroom door and then closed it from the outside. So we were locked out. Manager had no problem moving us to a new room. Took a dip after dinner and loved it. My son's first time and the water was perfect. Great place to stay.
The staff was very friendly. My wife and I stopped in on a "business trip/getaway" for a night, and we were able to relax. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon (some days sausage), biscuits and gravy, and tater tots! I was excited to have the tater tots, but they turned out to not be very warm. They also had waffles, muffins, yogurt, etc. It was a good breakfast to get us on our way. All in all it was a good time. They had an indoor pool, but we forgot our suits, so we will have to do that next time. We will stay there again next time we are in Junction City. We got a really good deal!
We were passing through Kansas on our way home and needed a hotel for the night. Stopped here based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The room was nice, clean and had a mini fridge. The room had a nice large flat screen TV, at least a 42" and cable if you want to watch TV or hook up a streaming stick or game system. There is a nice breakfast selection in the morning as well as an indoor pool. All in all a good one night stay here.
My wife and I stayed here while attending a local bowling tournament. The king bed was very comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The breakfast the next morning was great! Hot scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy as well as bread items and cereals. The room rate was very affordable. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Clean, great staff made an 8 day extension much easier. Cared for and about me when I dealt with a medical emergency. Breakfast was better with fresher food than we've experienced in our travels close to everything I needed while there. Felt safe and secure.
Very clean, and nice amenities. Dog fee was reasonable. Liked the free coffee and tea and pretzels out in the lobby for the kids. Very clean and quiet. Nice location surrounded by food, shops, Walmart, banks, and a service station across the street. extremely close access to the highway, but far enough to have no highway noise. Great value. I recommend this location (and have stayed here on cross-country trips more than once).
I visited my son who's at Fort Riley. I was completely satisfied with the price of the room. we stayed 4 nights. The facility was very clean, very well staffed with polite people. The rooms were clean, beds very comfy, everything worked properly. The entrance was small but very clean, very tasteful decorations and the complimentary hot breakfast was fabulous. I will certainly be staying in Best Westerns again and Recommend you stay at this one if your passing through! Thank you Susan (GM)!
The rooms were clean, staff super friendly, and location convienent for me to see family at Fort Riley. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. I would absolutely stay again and plan on doing so soon!
Clean room comfy bed hot shower awesome breakfast fresh eggs bacon waffles biscuits and gravy. We came down for breakfast at 9 and there was still tons 0f food left. great staff. My husband is a smoker so the smoking room was a bonus. Will definitely be back!
Decent place to stay, nothing over the top. Pool was heated but there were a lot of kids (we just happen to be there while a wrestling tournament was going on). The breakfast was good and they had a decent selection.
This is an average hotel. We only stayed overnight and did not have any real issues. The room was clean and staff was polite. We had a non smoking room, however, you could smell smoke in the bathroom from the next room. We had to keep the exhaust fan on to keep the odor out. The mini fridge didn't seem to be very cold. The pool was nice and my grandsons had a good time.
I enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.My room was clean and most of all bed was comfortable. Breakfast had alot of choices and was served early,so many times it does start till after im gone. I will be back as I travel this route often.
We were very pleased with our stay, the rooms were clean and spacious. It appeared to be all new furniture. The staff is very friendly and goes out of there way to help you. I travel for business so I spend quite a few night on the road. When I find a hotel like this, I come back. Breakfast is a full breakfast and a very sweet lady really takes of care of you in there.
We had stayed at this on out last trip. When we called to make a return trip the manager remeberedus. It is nice in this day and age to have someone remeber you . So many hotels are very formal . Great customer service goes a long way. Clean rooms and great breakfast. we stay in Jc about once a week. They have a new regular customer.
Front desk employees were friendly, efficient. Room was clean, bright, plenty of electronic outlets, flat surfaces. carpet not worn, appeared clean. no smells in motel. shower clean, hot. free breakfast with good selection of food, hot and cold. had fruit and few healthy choices, which many places don't offer. coffee was good and the kitchen employee kept the pot filled. wi fi free and easy to access. restaurants nearby. bed comfortable, clean linens. price very reasonable. would definitely stay there again! You can't go wrong.
Everything was good for our stay. Usually there is something (sometimes big, sometimes small) I find in staying at a hotel which is not right, wither cleanliness, comfort, or usually something not operating quite right in the room, or something missing. But everything was perfect, form cleanliness to breakfast. Very very satisfied, will make this out go to stop on our trip back from Colorado to St. Louis.
Very clean and friendly hotel, staff makes you feel at home. The manager Susan takes pride in her hotel and wants to make sure that you are taken care of. You can tell by the number regulars that i met while staying there. The breakfast and Breakfast lady are very friendly. Danielle at the front desk was also good. Will definitely stay again
GREAT breakfast real eggs not the rubber ones.New furniture in all rooms. The staff is very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. I travel for work so I spend a lot of nights in hotels and this is one of my favorite hotels.
Easy on/off access to I-70. Clean room, courteous staff, good breakfast. Plenty of restaurants and a Walmart nearby. My family has stayed here before and we'll be back because we make frequent trips between our homes at the Jersey Shore and Denver. We can count on getting a good night's sleep and breakfast the next morning at this hotel.
Was given rm 209, bed was hairy, Many hairs , heater filter was filthy and clogged up , dust on head board was thick, phone was stuck down finally it popped up so I could call front desk . Moved us to rm 211 and that room was better but the heater filter was dirty too. They took $5 off the room. not the best place to stay.
Smiling, friendly staff. The most comfortable bed and softest sheets I've experienced while traveling. A spotlessly clean room and a four star breakfast with crispy, lean bacon to die for. What's not to like?
I paid for my visit in 8/2015 but upon arrival the room I paid for was not available. (2 queen beds/smoking) I was given a king bed and a roll away which was not acceptable but we dealt with it. I was charged 3 additional charges on my credit card (which took over a week for them to come off) The only good thing was the free breakfast!!! I work at a resort in Reno, NV so the excuses I incurred were unacceptable! They kept blaming Priceline, but the charges were from the Best Western, NOT Priceline!!!! Don't believe their excuses when you hear them and I will NEVER stay there again!!!!!
We were impressed with this Best Western Hotel. The rooms were clean, modern and had all of the amenities. However, they did not have an elevator that accessed the second floor rooms. We had a disabled traveler who was unable to take the luggage upstairs. We had to go up a long set of stairs and assist the traveler with the luggage. We caution a family with a disabled traveler to inquire before you book a room to make sure a room at ground level is secured. Everything else was wonderful!
nice staff , clean rooms, quiet. good place to stop and get a good nights rest if you are traveling. The manager made sure i had everything i needed and it was nice having food choices close along with being right off i-70
We ended up booking this room last minute after getting caught in an ice storm. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good. It was pet friendly too which was great for us traveling with 2 dogs.
We stayed for a full week at this hotel. No problems other than the fitness center was closed for remodeling. We were rather looking forward to using it, but it will be there when we return for our next visit. Breakfast bar is full of everything, hot and well-maintained. The cleaning crew were thorough and followed thru on any notes we left (extra towel, coffee packets etc.). The hotel also has a washer / dryer for public use which was great for our week long stay & we did not need to pack as many clothes. Wifi worked great. Pool isn't anything you can do laps in, but was relaxing.
This is a great hotel to stay at whether you are just stopping through or going to be coming weekly. They are always very hospitable and management shows a real pride in their hotel. Susan was always more than helpful in any way possible.
It was pleasure in staying with this chain, location , hotel features and amenities were great too except WiFi was bit at slower end. I look forward to stay with this chain, staff is courteous and very friendly.
Convenient location to I-70 Breakfast looked like it had lots of options, we just had coffee. Even though the location is off a busy road the rooms were very quiet. Room was large and very tidy, beds super comfy. Bathroom was a great size, bigger than most I have experienced in this price range.
They offer a huge breakfast scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. The staff always remembers me and makes me feel welcome. the remodel has made a huge difference in the lobby looking forward to see what is next.
We had 2 rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. A/C was so loud I had to turn it off. Being on the first flloor I was hesitant to open the window for fresh air. The toilet seat was loose, the hook on the bathroom door was hanging by a loose screw, bathroom sink had a large crack, the carpet in one of our rooms needed a good cleaning. The shower in one of the rooms wasn't very strong because half of it came out the tub faucet, it was fine in the other room Breakfast was typical-good coffee.
Very nice and affordable. Excellent care and customer service from the staff. One of the better breakfasts. Convenient location. Multiple friends and family there at same time and the staff helped was very helpful with our varied needs. Great value for the money.
We were traveling with dogs and wanted a nice place to stay. This was perfect for our two dogs with rooms close to an exit and a big yard in back. The sheets and beds were comfy and the staff very helpful and friendly
My family and I rented 2 rooms to be closer to my nephew whom is being deployed. We were told rates were good but not what the prices were. We took the only rooms they had left. My family was in a single room with a roll away bed. the bed we slept in was not comfortable at all. It dipped in the middle. The carpet needed cleaned but by the time we got back in it was late and it had been a long day but management was informed about it and yes it was taken care of but it should not have been like that in the first place. Staff was nice until we had questions on why our bill was almost $300. for 2 nights in a single room. We were told it was game weekend and that is why rates were so high. Well if we were told what the rates were from the beginning we would not have stayed there. I will not stay at this hotel again even if it is NOT GAME WEEKEND!!!
Every expected and anticipated service was superior from the moment I walked through the door until the moment I walked out. Upon leaving, the clerk even asked whether I wanted a cup of coffee for the road.
We have stayed here when ever we are in the area . The whole staff is welcoming and very caring. Always very clean and comfortable . We will stay here the next time we are in the area. The location is perfect for our family visits.
My husband and I have stayed at this Best Western many times and have found the front desk employees Danielle and Rachel very nice and helpful with making our reservations. Manager Susan is a gem. She and her staff make our stay outstanding. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is the best!!! With our travels taking to KY, many times thru out the year, we will continue to stay at this Best Western.
I was driving across the country and spent one night in Junction City. The JC Inn was clean and the two different women I dealt with at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The room was perfectly fine, in order and clean. The dresser was a bit worn and shabby, but that is literally the only thing about the room that was less than perfect...no big deal whatsoever. I needed an extra towel and another conditioner and the front desk quickly provided them to me without any hesitation. The breakfast included hot items which is always nice and they were kept fresh and available. Although this is a basic motel to stay at and obviously not a five star hotel, for what it provided I felt it was worth giving them an excellent rating of five.
We were so tired having been driving since 6 AM and we stopped at the Taco Bell for easy in and easy out food. Across the street was a Super Wal Mart and the other way was a Best Western. Out little doggie just did not want to get back in the car yet so we decided to see if the hotel accepted dogs and they did and no FEE! Our room was huge with easy access to a great grassy walk and plenty of sidewalks to a longer stroll when he decided he wanted to investigate things. The room was plenty big enough for his large kennel with a comfy couch, microwave(popcorn) and fridge (milk!) and plenty of counter space for snacks galore..did I say there was a super Walmart across the street? The in room coffee pot was handy and there was coffee in the lobby as well. The free breakfast was typical and well cared for as we took turns to keep the dog happy and not feeling like he was left ALONE in a strange place. The staff was courteous and attentive and professional. We will consider staying here again our next trip. It was fun! Did I say it was reasonable? There was a large trash bin due to construction but that is to be expected when construction trash is in progress.
As we were driving across country this summer, this was a good stopping point. The room was clean and well appointed, excellent breakfast, excellent desk clerks. Terrific bbq restaurant down the street. Easy on and off I-70.
Great staff and manager went out of her way to make my stay outstanding!! Best breakfast around and very clean room! Hotel is recently remodeled and some things in rooms will still be getting changed and I can't wait to come back to see what's new next time I'm in town!
I have stay in this motel for the last several years and have had very satifactory results. The location is excellent. I do wish that animals were not allowed. The breakfast buffet is second to none. All the personnel have been very polite and helpful.
Clean room, nice amenities, and a fast wi-fi make this a great place to stop for the night. The location off I-70 is easy to get to and there are dining options within walking distance. There all also laundry facilities and a nice pool. The price is higher than other properties in town, but I found the room worth that extra cost.
I have far to many complaints so I'll keep it a brief as possible. Broken promise if early check in, had to pay an extra night, front desk girl Jenny complaining about guests and her back killing her to other girl while I was checking in, no elevator, manager not reachable, locked out of room twice. Finally talked to manager she insisted she made my reservations and said no early check in was agreed upon, I caught her in the lie because the girl and I had the same name. Then she said I must not travel much because I should know better, said it was not her problem and her hotel had great reviews. I have gone out of my way to make sure I get my review in on every site. Completely rude!! I travel quit a bit and I have never had a manager care so little!! And I didn't make it on time to be with my daughter in hospital since I couldn't check in to room, she was on base and I needed to unload car! I do highly recommend the Candlewood a couple doors down they are beyond amazing!!
