SureStay by Best Western Gulfport

The room had a foul odor and the toilet was broken. I was willing to let that go and move on with my life until a bigger issue occurred after I checked out: I am being wrongly accused of taking towels from the room I stayed in and was wrongfully charged $20 from my incidental hold. I am appalled. I certainly did not take any towels from that room. Hotel towels are gross. Many people have used them and also, those specific towels were crappy, thin, nasty towels. I politely called the hotel to ask why I was charged $20 thinking it would be a mistake and an easy refund. The person who spoke to me stated a housekeeping report indicated there were 2 missing towels from the room. I told him that is false and he would not refund me. He then told me I should call my credit card company to dispute the charge- how immoral! I got in touch with Best Western national customer service for help. They acted as a liaison between me and hotel management to resolve and hotel management then stated that 5 towels were missing and they will not refund me. Notice how the story changed from 2 to 5 towels. I know all the towels in that room were left there. The management and staff of the SureStay by Best Western Gulfport are liars and thieves and I stand by that statement. They stole $20 from me and those rooms are gross. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The hotel is very aged but the room and bed were comfortable. The room we had was called a two queen suite non-smoking. A very convenient hotel right off I-10. The free breakfast was ok ( coffee, waffle, toast, yogurt, some fruit, some sausage.) The suite part consisted of only one chair in the front. They need more chairs in the suite part and much better lighting. The desk had no lamp for doing book work. But after all that, the price was right.

Away from casinosattractions but the cleanliness, price & quiet makes up for it. The front desk clerk was friendly & helpful. I was wearing a knee brace at the time so needed an accessible room & the front desk clerk was really helpful with that.

I have been a best western member for many years. I ame across this hotel on BW site My wife just wanted to spend a day at the beach eat buffet and spend night at hotel. The hotel had everything I look for.it was clean good working A/C TV and wifi. There was no pool. Breakfast was meager just coffee and some cereal, toast waffle. Didn't expect much given the price Parking lot was well lit and close to Interstate.Great value if traveling or for a night.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. We took my 90 yr old mother on vacation and this hotel uses "peroxide" to clean but they don't clean they just smell up the room with it. The bedspreads look like they have never been washed, they did not change the sheets while we were there, they deactivated our room keys 4 times, everything was dusty, my sister had to buy toilet paper because it was late and the hotel didn't put in any extra, you could step out of the shower and walk on the carpet and by the time you get to the bed your feet are black which says they never scrub their carpets either, we see them carrying around a sweeper but our rooms never got swept. I tried to ask Aarp travel through Expedia and the hotel for my money back and was denied because the hotel said they would clean but "didn't". Do yourself a favor and stay at a casino hotel where they know how to clean and don't use "peroxide" By God that is the worst thing to use and can give someone bad breathing problems which we already had and that made it worst.

We only stayed one night, but it was very clean, good breakfast, and the staff was nice. The mattress was a little to ferm for our liking, but still slept well. It's in a quiet location with a few places to eat close by. I recommend.
