Good Hotel, just passing through. Clean and tidy. Reasonable rates. Very good breakfast!
My daughter and I have stayed at other Best Western Hotels with no issues. When we first arrived a gentleman started to check us in, (I'm assuming he was the manager) but when another employee came he told us she would finish the checkin. The gentlemen continued to work at the desk on his computer. I did hear the phone ring a few times and it appeared to me he hung up on these callers. When we opened the door to our, there was an awful smell of beer, also stains on the pull out couch. The brown chair in the corner was really dirty also. The carpet in the room was disgusting, I wouldn't walk on it in bare feet. Question: why would you put the TV in the bedroom when you have a seating that could accommodate it, we don't care to sit or lay on the bed to watch TV. In the bathroom, when other guests were taking a shower our shower wall would rattle until they were done. Breakfast area was really way to small only a few tables. The bacon was burnt and stuck together not edible and eggs were cold. Best thing I had for breakfast was the coffee and banana. This hotel was an embarrassment to the Best Western name.
STAY AWAY! BUGS on our bed!! Manager stated we would be refunded for our nights stay, we never saw a refund. Called Best Western corporate support and they were no help at all, such a runaround. At one point the representative said I'm sorry I don't know who the manager is at this hotel.
Convenient to highway and several restaurant choices. Clean and quiet. Warm even though outside temperatures were in the single digits.
Good location just off I-90 in Erie. Lots of services in area. Free breakfast food were just fair. Nothing for a diabetic to eat. No sugar-free food offered. Average cleanliness. No comfortable chair in room. Desk staff was nice.
The front desk girls were very nice, but other than that this place was terrible. Our room smelled like cigarettes and the toilet was nasty. The first night the smoke alarm beeped half the night needing a new battery which they did fix. The breakfast is all microwaved garbage. The second night at 3am our heat got stuck on and our room got to 80f. Thank god my husband is hvac and fixed it himself because the front desk girl had no idea what to do and said her manager wouldn't care. My husband tried to talk to said manger in the morning who shrugged him off. I called Priceline who we booked through and they called the manger and he lied to them and said we never reported any issues. Too bad for him we have pictures that prove everything. Priceline forced a refund anyway.
We had been going to the Best Western Plus across the road until they shut down and this location (across the road form the original) somewhat recently opened. Basically everything was well done accept for the extremely low toilet and the sink stopper did not work at all - otherwise things were good. There was a very bright spot in the check-in lady (Nem Bookamer or something close to that name). Possibly she was also the Manager/General Manager (??). In any event, she was very efficient, personable, helpful and knowledgeable about the facility and surrounding area. She made this location stand out in the crowd of accommodations in this area. We will definitely return.
Very bad experience. We stayed in a two room suite with separate bedroom for 235.00 per night. No TV in living area, so 7 had to watch tv in the sleeping area. The coffee maker in the room did not work, sewer smell in bathroom, sink backed up, had no closets, no bedding for hide-a-bed. Breakfast was 30 minutes late, and meat and eggs were cold. Waffle mix empty on breakfast area opening. Coffee maker in lobby broken.
Stayed in King Suite; over-priced. Bad smell, ripped couch and mould, needing entire revamp of unit. Find another hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had out of town family staying in Solstice Hotel recently so we drove over to see them. Our family members had a free breakfast included in their room price so we wanted to eat with them there at the hotel. We went to the front desk to pay for the two of us and the managers (owners?) declined to charge us. They would not accept any payment from us, insisting that we could eat for free. They were very kind and generous. So we enjoyed a delicious waffle and coffee and were happy that our family chose to stay at Solstice Hotel!
Room was filthy. Stains on walls in bathroom, living area, and curtains. Stayed in 5 hotels this week....by far the most expensive ($215) and dirtiest. Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Would not stay here again.
We stayed one night on a road trip passing through. We booked two rooms. The front desk thoughtfully booked the rooms next to each other. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The décor was surprisingly modern. Yes, the bathrooms were not pristine with some unclean corners and smudges on the ceiling but toilet, showers and sink were fine. Not the greatest breakfast but the stay overall was a great value.
We came here last night for a soccer tourney. This place is like something out of Nation Lampoons Vacation. Filthy and web site is completely misleading. Boys were looking forward to swimming in the pool as advertised. Closed. Workout facilities. Closed. Mold in the toilets, cob webs around base of furniture, stained mattresses, shoots too small for the beds, gross black water marks on the glass bathroom door that didn't work properly. I told them we weren't staying. They offered me $25 off per night (our “deal" for booking the team was $176 per night. Web site said they only charge $125 per night. Hotels Tonight had it for $89). They refused to credit our account so now I had to get Discover involved to block the charge. Save yourself the headache & choose one of the other 1,000 hotels in the area.
