Really nice and clean hotel, room was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Plug in for boat charging is great.
Property looks/feels/smells like it was built last week. VERY pleasantly surprised Power outlets (albeit damaged condition) in brightly lit rear parking lot operational and convenient for Tesla EV charging. Thanks! My only real complaint is that the room was about 60 degrees, cold and damp when I checked in. Energy/$$$ wasting, annoying. WHEN will innkeepers learn?
If could give this place ZERO stars I would. The hotel/rooms are nice but management is awful! We booked a room, unloaded our things and went to dinner. Upon returning from dinner the hotel had no water. We were traveling with our toddler so not having water was not an option for us. We immediately went downstairs and asked to check out and receive a refund, the hotel employee told us that we could have a discount ($33-unacceptable!) and that they would have to talk to their manager. I was directed to a customer service phone number who has also been trying to reach a manager at this location for a couple of days now on top of me calling the hotel directly multiple times and asking to speak with a manager. We had friends staying at this location as well who confirmed that they did not have water over night and into the next morning. I have not been able to reach any management personnel to discuss this matter after days of trying on my end. They are trying to charge me full price for a room in a hotel that had NO water for the night that was NOT stayed in. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
We had three rooms for our family ended up on each floor. The first floor room ended up having a snake in it. We found the morning of check out. I trapped the snake and told the woman at the desk upon check out. We were not given any kind of compensation or even an apology or thank you for reporting it and trapping the snake Instead when I said our daughter was traumatized, she said she was traumatized to and wouldn't be getting the snake They definitely could use grab bars in the step and showers to make a safer experience for everyone and accommodate the needs of the increasing number of older people. We had to give our nicer room to my parents to keep my mom safe. The handicap rooms had tubs which she could not have stepped over, but thankfully, I called the hotel to verify this from the information online before reserving, so I knew she had a step in shower but found no handicap bar in her room though there was one in ours so we traded rooms.
My wife and I spent 3 nights at this hotel and we were pleased with it. It was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of parking for someone with a boat or trailer they bring with them. The staff was nice to deal with. The breakfast they provided was fine. Nothing to complain about. I would stay there again to be sure.
Pool was advertised on the website but both pool and hot tub were closed when we arrived. Should have been more clear on website. They held us to the 24 hour cancelation. Was a bummer. Would not return because of this.
Unfortunately, our pipes busted, with the snow. Luckily, the best western had rooms for my family. It was so warm and toasty. It was the best experience I have very had at a hotel! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!
Friendly staff. Nice motel. Clean. Great breakfast and out early when we stayed. Great spot for anglers, close to two reservoirs. Easy access plug in outlets for boat charging. Great restaurant in the area Veronicas about 8 miles away, but worth the drive.
We had a majority of the hotel reserved for a family wedding. We were told that the bar was closed for a private event and that the other common area, the dining area had been reserved as well for such private event. Therefore, the guests in our party had nowhere to gather except for guest rooms. Again, we had the majority of the hotel reserved with paying guests. My opinion is that was not good business for the paying guests.
clean hotel and staff very friendly., breakfast was good and area kept clean.. Only problem with this visit was the ice machine on the third floor was broken. I am not sure but I think this was the only hotel in this town.
Besides the rooms needing a little AIR FRESHNER to liven it up, the rooms were clean and everything was in great shape. My family loves BACON and it wouldve been nice to have bacon for breakfast but the breakfast burritos were good.
I called and booked my reservation and arrived on Friday and told the lady about my Aaa discount and was told it was added and checked out on Sunday morning and again they stated my aaa discount was applied but after they ran my credit card it showed no discount and was told that they do not apply discounts on weekends, well why say that you do, very disappointed and will not be back.
Every Best Western hotel should offer a free breakfast for its guests; this one, unfortunately, doesn't. Having to pay restaurant prices could be a hardship for single parents, low income families, and senior citizens (or anyone else). The breakfast room is still there, but closed in favor of the integral restaurant. (Fortunately I'm a traveling businessman and don't fall into any of those categories.)
This is a hidden gem of a hotel off of Highway 69. If you plan on stopping during your travels this would be the place to go. Located in Emory, TX between 2 lakes. They've got a cute little Italian restaurant located inside, the food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. They even have a bar with beer and wine for any of you who would like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage during your stay. Surprisingly they even offer room service. They've got a beautiful pool and jacuzzi outside as well. The rooms are very clean, looks like new. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!
lovely place in this east texas...This is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in this area . Front desk staff is friendly and eager to help. Restaurant in hotel has great food. this has been a 5 star experience.
Our regional group of the Horseless Carriage Club, antique cars used BWP-Emory as the host hotel Oct 20-22. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly, helpful and competent. I would recommend to stay there.
I have stayed at several Best Westerns. This one is very clean, and has a very nice Italain restaurant, but is expensive compared to others I've stayed at. The sundries are super high, and my so called rewards rate for the room was higher then before I was a rewards member at other Best Westerns. Staff said the veterans rate was higher then the rewards rate which was contrary to other experiences I've had with Best Western. My wife and I were extremely tired when we stopped, so the in house Italian restaurant was really convenient, food tasty and unlike everything else reasonably priced. Hotel staff was friendlty and nice. Breakfast is part of the room rate. Nice breakfast, but hours 6 to 9. We went down at 0830 and several items were depleted or empty. Not refilled by staff.
Hot tub not working, ants in the bathroom and very slow internet. The breakfast was ok but the plates they use are so thin everything you tried to put on it soaked through. I don't think I'll stay at that Best Western again.
We made a last minute reservation to stay in a hotel out in a relatively remote part of East Lake Tawokoni Texas. We were visiting friends over the weekend and we didn't want to drive an hour and a half back home, so we picked this hotel. It was great. the staff were most helpful.
We stayed at this property for my son's wedding and it did not disappoint. We were close to the venue and the hotel was a great price! The rooms were clean and they were even able to accommodate a last minute reservation. My daughter needed a room and the hotel was full, but put her on a waiting list. To our surprise, they called with a room!! Amanda at the front desk is the best!!
I've stayed at this hotel previously on numerous occasions and was happy to see my room updated with newer furniture, decor and bedding. The lobby of the hotel has more offerings as far as a snack shop for drinks, snacks, medications or any needed items in the room. The steak restaurant that has been added does look very nice however the fact that it does not have consistent hours and you have to contact or owner in order to make some sort of reservations for her to come in is not efficient. There should be set hours and times and if she has no reservations on the books and someone should at least be there available for the bar with and limited menu. All in all however this is a nice location with clean rooms and facilities. There is a gym for those who wish to work out on the road and an outdoor pool
My 1st stay earlier was too close to the pool; I couldn't get the curtains to close to block out the light at the pool. I needed a darkroom. This time I made an effort to ask to b away from the pool. They accommodated me very well
Great service, the best breakfast egg rolls…Overall great experience. The front desk associate upon check in located Mt rewards number and ensured I received credit for my stay. This also caused the cost of the hotel to lower for the night.
Staff was too busy to take care of my problem. Upon going to my room I realized that I had only a small shower in my room. Having a fear of closed in spaces I knew that that I was not going to shower in that small space that was completely closed in. I went down to the front desk to ask the gentleman down at the desk if all the king rooms had showers he said some of them and answered his phone and didn't even try to help me. Just left me standing there. Needless to say I paid for a room I didn't get to clean up in. It was horrible service.
Definitely plan on staying here. Very easy access from the main road with ample parking for over-sized vehicle and towed items. Easy access to/from back parking area. Room and bathroom were in immaculate condition. Staff was friendly. Independant restaurant on location was great with an impressive bar, and dining situation was really nice and cozy with supurb ambiance. Great environment to not just eat something, but to take your time dining.
My stay was very enjoyable. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel has a restaurant onsite but is close to others. Rooms are nice and a good size. There is a pool and jacuzzi all for a decent price
This is a very nice and clean hotel.they have a restaurant on sight and hot tub and had a very good hot breakfast in the morning I will come back and stay at this hotel again.rooms are nice and clean and followed with COVID protection
Found a roach in bathroom, mold in the shower. Sheets weren't changed on one of the beds. Breakfast was great, except for sour milk. Room smelled good, carpet new. Great decor in room. Refrigerator froze our stuff. Pillows suck
I did not even stay at motel n canceled my stay n was not given my money back rude ass people. She was very rude and basically they stole money from me and wouldn't give back when they could clearly see i did not stay n canceled my reservations which they said I didnt
Wonderful, helpful and informative staff at the front desk. Good room, beds were good, the pillows are a little soft but overall good. We brought our sweet buddy (dog ), so glad they are pet friendly, we stayed an extra night. Very accommodating during the holidays. We had an issue with the toilet and they got it fixed right away. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in this area. We stayed at the holiday inn at Greenville and this best western better, we shapely have driven the extra miles to get here, will stay here again !
I've stayed in fishing towns...the rooms are a little on the scary side! Don't be scared of this one-this little gem is clean and fresh. There's a nice looking restaurant on site also, but unfortunately they were closed the night I stayed. Heard a little noise from the room upstairs.
Nothing bad to say about this motel. People(staff), rooms, interior and exterior clean and staff were the best and went out of their way to help. Made me feel like a valued guest. Coffee was good. Every thing worked. Absolutely NO problems here. Would stay here again. Liked the staff. Bed was comfortable.
The employees are very friendly and efficient. This smoke-free facility is clean and well-kept, inside and out. Pets are welcome. There is a nice pool and patio area, a restaurant on site, and several good restaurants nearby.
The Best Western Emory Plus at Lake Fork Inn & Suites is an outstanding hotel and delivers the best service a hotel patron could expect. All rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds and Direct TV. No matter what you are doing in the area, you will be glad that you booked a room at the Best Western Emory Plus at Lake Fork Inn & Suites. The staff has earned my repeat business and they will earn yours.
Been staying at the Best Western in Emory for years and always enjoyed our stay. They have boat hook-ups in the back, hot tub and pool. Chef Elle runs the steak house and let me tell you her steak is above AMAZING!
Our stay was right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The hotel was super clean (room, lobby, everywhere) and all of the staff was really nice and friendly. Our dinner (steak house in the hotel) was absolutely delicious. Two wonderfully sweet ladies delivered dinner to our room. Really a great experience!
Stayed here several nights while visiting family. For an area as rural as Emory, this is a very nice hotel. Clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast was pretty good although I noticed it was better stocked on weekend night than week night. We also had a bit of spotty WiFi one day but checked with front desk and they reset it. Very quiet and good housekeeping. Comfortable beds. Noisy fan on bathroom but I don't know of that's just our room or they r all like that.
It's the 'Plus' that offered a full breakfast array and Yoghurt machine? On property restaurant highlighting seafood, steaks/salads for a popular small community that knows their 'Fish.' Staff could not do enough to make me happy!
I had SO much fun in town visiting family and staying at the best western was just as great. Everyone was so accommodating and the breakfast lady even made extra bacon when I asked! Great place to stay! 10/10 would recommend!
The Best Western Plus in Emory brings life to the city! The hotel includes an incredible breakfast including a great variety of delicious pastries, very plush bedding, and the hot tub is just amazing! As soon as you walk in you get hit with the new hotel smell.
One of the best breakfast I've had in a hotel, tasty burritos, fluffy eggs, great selection. Comfortable beds and amazing hospitality. Emory is a great town and this hotel makes it that much better. Will definitely be returning.
Bad customer service air conditioning didn't work Breakfast was terrible room was noisy from people filling I guess ice chests all night for whatever reason decided not to stay 2nd night because we could not sleep asked for refund for the 2nd night and was refused lost my 125 dollars and went to another hotel Beware of this hotel
Destination wedding weekend with a large family. Every one enjoyed their stay. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Service was great. Would love to have a repeat visit on a Canton weekend. Very friendly people.
Stayed a couple days here and all the staff we met were friendly and imformative. 1st time I ever washed clothes in a hotel. Nice on a long trip not to have to carry around dirty clothes very convenient set up. The breakfast was great lots of things to choose from one of the nicest breakfast I have been too. So many different toppings for waffles or the self serve yogurt . I would for sure recommend this hotel to people.!!!
We loved this property. The hallways were the widest I've seen in a smaller hotel in quite a while. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. We were disappointed the bar was not open on a Saturday night like advertised. Also the pool was a little green and cloudy. However, we would definitely come back.
We have stayed a few times at this BW on our dash through Texas and it is very nice and clean. Facilities are large and spacious and good air conditioning for hot Texas. Good light breakfast selection.
Stayed here based on all of the great reviews however, it wasn't that great. We arrived at around 10 PM and reception couldn't figure out how to check us in... I still havent seen the charge go through and am really hoping they checked us out correctly. The decorative blanket and decorative pillows had stains on them and the shower curtain was moldy. Not huge deals I suppose since we didnt sleep with those items and the curtain wasn't covered in mold, but I was expecting it to be a little cleaner than that. Pillows were soft but we had multiple flea bites. Guess it's to be expected when a hotel accepts pets? Wish hotels that accept pets had specific rooms only for pets for this reason. They ate the poor baby alive. Decent selection for breakfast.
Called to change the dates of my stay from Friday to Monday, to Saturday to Monday. When we arrived on Saturday they had changed the dates to Friday to Sunday. We spoke to front desk and they promised to fix it, on Sunday our key no longer worked. Had to make two trips to the front desk to fix it. Then on Monday when we checked out, front desk person didn't know how to change our check-in date from Friday to Saturday even though we didn't even arrive or check-in until Saturday. RaeAnn promised she would fix it when manager got there. Manager called and said they couldn't change it cause original bill was for Friday. Told them I called twice earlier in the week to confirm changes and still would not change the bill, never dealt with a person or company who wouldn't change their own mistake.
Pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was! For a hotel in such a small town, it is a very well-kept place. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the area as well. I would highly recommend this place.
The check-in went smooth, the room was clean, the furnishings were modern, love the showers, friendly and helpful staff, the breakfast options was delicious, we enjoyed a quiet peaceful stay for 4 nights.
Our stay at this hotel was great! The hot tub is open all year round and the breakfast we had in the morning was great! It had lots of variety including a waffle maker and breakfast burritos made by the attendant.
This hotel was very good! The rooms were great, the staff was intuitive and caring, and the breakfast in the morning had a lot of choices including fresh cut fruit. The bar was also nice, due to the fact that you did not have to leave the motel.
The bar needs to be sound-proofed and the manager needs a watch. The noise was supposed to stop at midnight and a call from the sheriff's office at 1:00 finally got this place quiet. Worst hotel experience ever and I have travelled all over North and Central America as well as Cuba. Never have we ever been treated so flippantly. Your money means nothing to the local economy. Share it in Mineola or other surrounding community instead.
I had a great experience, the breakfast had many options and staff was very nice. The place was very clean and up to date and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend to anyone going to the area.
We stay here every year for an annual car show in Emory. Always a great experience. Highly recommended. Lots of room. Grill was great as was the bar. Prices for food and drinks was very reasonable. Will book her for next year. VERY CLEAN AND FRIENDLY
please clean room and bathrooms ... was very disgusting ... first room they gave us was not even cleen.. second room was dirty as well and bathroom was horrible with mucus on the walls .. the outside was not manufactured or cleaned.
Very clean room great room for a great rate large bathroom in the king rooms quiet location easy access to town has bar and grill inside excellent breakfast friendly service over all excellent would recommend and will revisit this hotel
All of the staff was very friendly and wanted to help us in any way. Our only disappointment was in the breakfast. Sometimes the food ran out way before the end of breakfast. And they need more variety from day to day. We stayed 3 nights on our last visit.
I do NOT recommend staying here.....GOD FORBID should you have something come up where you cannot make there. THEY WILL NOT CANCEL RESERVATIONS AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU WHETHER YOU STAY OR NOT.....UNLESS YOU CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR RESERVATION. The hotel is nice and I have stayed there many times but never again. They never even bothered to ask why....it was a NO and YOU WILL BE CHARGED! Then I received an email saying my reservation was made by Google and they would have to be the ones that cancelled it....and I told them, that was not true....I don't even know how to do that. I know there are drugs and a lot of other "shady situations" that go on there too. I have seen it myself. I understand they finally did get the bar and resturant open but it is operated by a local resturant. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere it you can.....
Very clean, has a pool, and they are opening up a sports bar with food named Sidekicks. Sidekicks is a family owned dinner in town and their food is pretty darn good. So I expect good food and drinks at the Sidekicks sports bar inside the hotel to be nice. Plus I saw pool tables which I think would be nice after a day of fishing with a few drinks.
Not a bad property, an average quality hotel overall but over priced for what you get. Comparable to nearby hotels but not competitively priced. Very convenient to Emory and Lake Fork. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great hotel in proximity to Fork or Tawakoni..Parking stalls for boats with electrical outlets. Has a pool to relax after a tough day of fishing if you need it. Staff is kind and friendly, rooms are nice and quiet....Great complimentary breakfast if you aren't leaving too early to get on the fish before others. :-)
This hotel is beautiful. Very clean rooms, excellent staff, and we woke up to a wonderful breakfast. I was extremely impressed with how quiet it was, and slept so soundly b/c of it! The pool and Jacuzzi are gorgeous, and clean. I will def be back!
Very clean and quiet hotel, great staff, very comfortable rooms. I love staying here when i go to fish Lake Fork. Seven miles to Lake Fork Marina, and very close to restaurants. Internet is alway good, staff is caring and friendly.
If you're staying in this area I would definitely recommend this hotel! It is very clean and looks brand new. The front desk is very friendly and courteous. They reacted with any needs that I had very quickly. It is also very close to Lakefork! Overall this is a great place.
Best place to stay around! Definitely would stay again. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great and has lots of variety! It is also very close to Lakefork and has several grocery stores near.
We booked a room with a jacuzzi and the jacuzzi didn't even work. There was a TV in the bathroom and that didn't work either. The food for breakfast was pretty good though. The people were friendly and the hotel was clean.
We stayed in the handicap accessible suite, which was accommodating to our wheelchair needs. The bathroom was spacious. There is a tub in the bathroom but a shower chair's provided. The king bed was comfortable & the suite had a queen sofa sleeper too.
Very nice and clean hotel, friendly staff and rooms modern with comfy beds. Several premium channels. A/C a little noisy, but works great! Complimentary breakfast with many choices; juices, cereals, flavored coffee creamers, eggs, tots, sausage, assortment of breads, waffles. etc. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here during a vacation. The hotel is clean, easy to get to, and had great service. A SPECIAL NOTE: my dad completely messed up a waffle (apparently he doesn't know how to make one haha) and as we were attempting to share it, Libby who works there, brought us a new one that was perfect, without us saying anything at all. It was truly unexpected and very sweet of her to do that for us. I wished we could have tipped her but apparently the workers are not allowed to take tips. So, instead I would like to brag on Libby because she made our morning better and I appreciate her taking care of my father. Thank you Libby!! I would definitely stay here again. :) (Photo of before and after waffle below)
Looked for a good motel that allows a small pet. Trip Advisor provided this motel along with good reviews. We had a spacious room hat was very comfortable and spacious. It had a wonderful chair to read a book with good lighting. The room was very clean and the staff was accommodating. There was a spacious parking lot so you vehicle was nit cramped. There was a wonderful open area to walk your pet. The breakfast was adequate to start your day. Only $10 extra for your pet.
If you want your credit card number stolen and used to pay for additional nights in this hotel for someone else, this is the place to go. My credit card company said this isn't the first time this has happened here. You'd better find the thief at the desk stealing credit card information.
Always stay here when visiting my son and family. It is a convenient, friendly, clean place & very important is its Pet Friendly. The staff is friendly & it is very quiet. Rooms are clean & it's easy check in & out!
Overall the the hotel and rooms where nice. They could use new towels in the bathrooms, mine had holes in it. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. Great location for my quick trip, not a lot of hotels in this area.
This is a very nice hotel. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The only negative I have is the life music in the bar area. This can be heard in the guest rooms and is, to me, exceedingly irritating.
Had a very nice stay at the location In Emory,Texas...we had stopped in Canton that morning and planned to stay at this location since it was only one hr away and we also wanted to visit the Lakes in the area....everything was very nice..the breakfast was fine ...just didn't have the juice dispenser filled but that was fine....will stay there for sure if ever in the area...priced right for Canton weekend....
An absolutely lovely hotel. I spent an excellent 15 days with my girlfriend during our stay. Pros: The hotel staff being one of the most notable strengths of the stay. Being first time traveler they were very kind and quick to take care of any of our needs. From there, the room amenities were spectacular. The TV's crystal clear with no interference on the channels during our stay. The shower and jetted Tub were a great compliment to the room and very spacious. Always a plus. Finally, the free breakfast and the bar were nice features we enjoyed as well during our stay. The breakfast in particular was extremely satisfying especially as an early morning individual. Cons: The internet speed using the hotel's Wi-Fi was a roller coaster in which it would go from high speeds down to low speeds during the stay. The bar was very quiet most of the evenings we went, but it seemed to be picking up toward the end of our stay. Overall: The hotel was an excellent experience throughout my stay, and I hope that the next time will be just as enjoyable.
Everything was great. The only problem we encountered was that the pool was cloudy and dirty and we couldn't swim. We were told that there was a boys aoftball tournament that week and there were over 30 boys in the pool. The pool was never cleaned the day we were there.
We stay at this hotel each time we come to Emory for family functions. The rooms are always clean. Customer service is always a priority. Pets are welcome. There is always variety of offerings for breakfast. The check in counter has snacks available 24 hours.
Good place to stay for a teeny tiny town! Bar area was nice, staff was friendly, breakfast was good and our room was clean. Rooms weren't terribly expensive and there's a grocery and a gas station right across the street for incidentals and snacks.
Rooms were clean and looked very elegant and new. Staff was very friendly. Can't beat it for the price! Perfect for an overnight stay, or for a week or more. I have stayed in Best Westerns over the last 30 years and not one has ever been a disappointment. This one was excellent too.
Had a great time as always. Will stay at BW again in September during another fishing tournament trip. Pam, Kendal and Kacie are very nice and did a great job at the front desk. In the lounge area, Erica did a great job bartending while Danny, Dawn and Keith made sure everything in the lounge was in top condition.
Great place to stay. The rooms are always clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And it is pet friendly. It is in a very good location. Have stayed here multiple times bar and dining is excellent.
This is a great hotel, quiet, convenient. But, my favorite is the Wild Horse Saloon inside! Fun sports bar, great staff, live entertainment, everything from beer to top shelf, and a perfect casual but yummy menu.
Stayed at the Best Western in Emory while fishing at Lake Fork which is 15 minutes away. The room was modern with a big screen mounted on the wall. The king size bed was nice and soft and very comfortable. The best thing was the stand up walk in shower. I've never seen one designed like that but it was AWESOME. I would always stay here if I ever come back into town. Another great benefit is the boat parking in the rear with outlets for every spot to recharge your boat batteries.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western for a weekend because we had a wedding to attend. The facility is very nice and clean. The staff is marvelous. Especially Kaci the night clerk. She is sooo sweet and very efficient in what she does. We wish her all the luck in her new home and following through with her education. They serve a hot breakfast which we didn't take advantage of because we ate our breakfasts at Don' down the road. The rates are reasonable and it's easy to get in and out of. Close to a grocery and gas and several places to eat. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
This is the best place to stay, service is excellent, great breakfast and the friendliest staff, always have a great time staying in Emory, best bang for my buck, rooms are always clean, front desk service is the best
I love staying at this hotel. This is our go to place. They sell out extremely fast so if you know you're going to stay you need to call at least 3 weeks in advance. The food is always hot and fresh in the morning, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Nice TV's and bathrooms. Will be staying again.. as this is our 3rd time to stay, and always a pleasure.
Great place for fishermen fishing Lake Fork. Only 10 minutes from the water. You Can charge your boat batteries for an added charge. very clean. Well lit parking lot for your boat. Very kind and companionate staff. I will stay there again on my next lake Fork trip.
We stayed two nights at this hotel to attend Canton First Monday Trade Days. It is about 20 miles from Canton, but much less expensive than hotels in Canton on that weekend. The facility was clean, breakfast was average. Our bathroom was not cleaned and restocked with wash cloths or shampoo, etc. after the first night. However, the desk clerk supplied the items we needed and did so with a smile and a positive attitude! If the need/opportunity presents itself, we would stay here again.
We would recommend this hotel to everyone. The pet friendly is very important to us as we occasionally travel with our two little dogs. We are now looking for property in the Lake Fork area and plan to stay with you when we need to
This hotel is the best place to stay in the Emory area, it is very close to lake Fork, my employer has a place at lake Fork and has invited us to come back and we will stay at the Best Western Plus when we come back.
We booked this room online and was extremely pleased with it. It was very comfortable and the amenities were a bonus. Our trip was to go to the flea market and am so glad we stayed here and not in Canton. It was a very good value. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is new and was very clean and well kept. Our room was large with a large bathtub and TV in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It is close to Canton but out of all the traffic. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Stayed for a girls shopping trip at First Monday Trade Days. We had a room with 2 queen beds on 3rd floor (requested). Room was very clean as well as the bathroom. This is the 2nd stay here and was very quite. The breakfast had quite a few options and was good. They offer boat parking with plugs available for battery charging for all the fisherman out there! Also have free Wifi but is slow. Definitely recommend and will stay here again when in the area.
Room and hotel clean and comfortable. The only problem was the breakfast. Saturday am the hotel was completely booked and they had the skimpiest breakfast I've ever had in a Best Western. No bacon, or scrambled eggs and I got the last whole biscuit at 8am. On Sunday morning about the same thing. Finally enough scrambled eggs were put out for 3 people. Only one yogurt and the biscuits were hard. There were 9 tables but only 18 chairs and people were standing and trying to eat. Get the hostess some help and chairs please!
Very nice rooms, comfortable, clean, with microwave and refrigerators. Friendly staff, great breakfast, big variety. Love the lounge. Had drinks and snacks, very good and everyone helpful and friendly.
Was a pleasant surprise to find this hotel in Emory. Newer facility with great clean rooms. Just a quick overnight stop but would recommend to anyone neediing a good nights rest. Good breakfast bar. Lady managing it did her very best to make sure everthing was right.
Things were great. We have stayed here multiple times and enjoy each one. It is pet friendly and this is the first time we brought our little puppy. There were not any problems whatsoever. We go to the Canton Trade Days and drive but we like this hotel better in Emory better than the ones in Canton. The drive only takes a few minutes. We enjoyed our stay.
Check in and Check out went fast and easy. The staff were nice and eager to help. The room was clean. We got to the breakfast bar about 30 minutes after it was suppose to start. And about all they had were biscuits, bacon, scrambled eggs, and cold cereal. I was expecting more. After we got about half way done they brought out some waffle mix. The next morning we went to a regular restaurant. The swimming pool water was cloudy and needed cleaning. And our mattress was hard. Other than that the motel was great.
So we're in the country; I get it. But to walk into our room, only to discover this guy on the bed?? Even LESS impressive was the blank stare, and the response when I asked who was going to take care of it: "I'm the only one working tonight, and I'm not going in there. I'm scared of spiders! I can try to find you another room, though, if you want?" In all fairness, we ARE in the country. But this was one HUGE spider. If this is the #1 rated hotel in Emory, TX I can't imagine what we might find at a lesser hotel. Eventually got another room, only to find 4-5 super tiny baby spiders on that bed...(SIGH). Guess I'll be sleeping with the light on, and one eye open.
I guess I booked the room on the wrong date. The lady at the desk was very helpful in gettin it straight breakfast the usual hotel stuff but the tv got about 14 channels Very nice place but no cell service in the room at all wireless was below average but worked
The staff at Best Western in Emory were amazing, they went above and beyond for our softball team. we are so grateful to come in after a very hot day to clean cool rooms, the breakfast was always ready and a staff member ready to help out for anything. The ladies at the desk were friendly and helpful with extra towels and information. This hotel has standards that is very refreshing to see, I wish all hotels were as nice as accommodating. The pool was nice and cool also!! The whole hotel was always spotless! Thank you again staff for a wonderful day stay!!
everything was great---no changes needed---business or pleasure the stay in Emory at Best western was perfect. Would and will recommend to others. good rates--great rooms and excellent service. will be back each week for the foreseeable future.

Stayed one night this past weekend with my family to enjoy Canton First Monday Trade Sale. . Check in was quick and easy, and room was spacious and clean. My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, but all of that does not make up for our bad experience that evening. Since we had to get up early in the morning to start our journey home, we fell asleep at 9:30pm. At a little after 11pm we were all awakened by yelling and laughing at the pool, which was pretty much right outside our room (we were in room 218, which we discovered in the night is also right next to the bar). I called the desk to ask them why people were in the pool so late, and being so noisy. All I was told was that "I am sure they will get out soon". Well they didn't until close to 11:30pm, and just about that same time the bar downstairs decided to turn up their music so loud that we could hear every word. I called again and was told "sorry, the bar is open till 12 midnight". So, my family and I had to wait till exactly 12am before it was quiet enough for us to try and go back to sleep. No concern was showed at all about the noise level, or that we needed our sleep, not even at check out the next morning. It cost us $124 to stay there, and I expect a hotel to be quiet after 10 pm. I will never stay there again due to the lack of consideration given to us as we were trying to sleep, and I recommend if you do stay there, and plan to sleep before midnight, that you make sure you do not get any rooms numbered 218-223, as they are adjacent to the bar.
The staff at this hotel checked in someone else with my prepaid reservation. It took them 2 of the 3 days of my stay to get it right. I will be reluctant to stay there again. At least not prepay a reservation if I do.
Hall ways were not clean... pool was not clean.. broken lights... broken chairs... hot tub outside did not work.. Furniture very worn out... outside bathrooms were out of service.. Becoming run down.. very sad to see such a potential place go in the direction that this one is :(
the check in was a breeze the staff were always asking if there was something you need are something they could help you with .the room was great and the beds were the most comfortable of any that I had sleep in in the last year the Manager will go about and beyond to help with all your needs
We were in town to visit a family member, and needed a place to stay for the night. The Best Western was at a very convenient location in town, the room rate(s) were within budget, and the hotel met all of our expectations even if it was for one night. It will be our choice from now on, and we have already recommended it to other family members.
I felt like this was a great experience for the price. Room was neat and clean with great amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, and internet. The snacks you could buy at the front desk were very reasonably priced. Most hotels triple the prices of those items. The hotel had an extremely friendly staff. The free breakfast was also a great plus. Great experience. Will stay there again on my next trip to Trade Days in Canton, TX.
Stayed here two nights instead of staying in Canton. Glad we did! Our room was deluxe king with jacuzzi, mini fridge, and microwave. It was clean, staff was friendly, and there were no issues with my reservation. The free breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had but I won't complain. We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
I found this Hotel last July>>My house is just 20 minutes south on the highway but I was so tired last july I needed to stop to get a good nights sleep and I did! I had the suite by the door since I had my medical dog with me which made it convenient to let her out to pottie! It's really a lovely motel>>Close to I-30 if traveling? or 30 minutes into Mineola to visit a Main St.town>Plus,I lived 20 miuntes south for 14 years>>Had 2 homes>.now still have one but when I close up the house it takes a little work to get it ready to stay so being able to stay at the motel to rest>>then go to the house makes it easier for me!!
This hotel was surprisingly clean and the staff were super friendly. We stayed there on a fishing trip and were pleased with our decision. There was pool downstairs and the tables were in great shape, buying snacks at the desk cost very little compared to most hotels. The breakfast was free and had good variety. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean economical place to stay.
I wasn't to impressed on my first encounter as they apparently input my reservation incorrectly however the front desk attendant quickly resolved this issue. Inside was very nice, elevators worked well and the rooms were very large. Nice working desk. Bed was nice/large but very very firm. A/C worked great as did flat screen TV on wall. Excellent Wi Fi. Bathroom was roomy with a fantastic shower, easy in/out with hot water. Breakfast offerings were good eggs, bacon, sausage, bread offerings of multiple sorts, waffles, juices and coffee. Nice pool and hot tub outside the back entrance. Great parking and offered good boat parking as well. Room was missing refrig and microwave.
We stay here at least once a year. Our stays have always been excellent until this time. Normally I give them 5 stars. The thermostat and alarm clock need replaced. We couldn't get the air conditioner to turn off and we had it set on heat. Called the front desk and was told to turn it off and then back on. After about 15 min. We finally got the heat on. Once it warmed to the temp we set the air conditioner came back on. My husband turned it off then. When we came in the next day it did the same thing. We didn't bother the front desk this time as we knew the hotel was booked up. Again after about 15 min we got it heating again. The alarm clock is automatic and is set on Eastern time and we couldn't override it to correct the time. Also it was on am when it was pm and we couldn't change that either. The breakfast was good. The room was clean the facilities are very nice.
Breakfast was really good & plenty of it & large selection of breakfast items....Employees were really Friendly and helpful....Room was really clean & comfortable !! Would recommend to everyone to stay there...glad the small city of Emory has a good place we can stay while visiting family in Emory !!!
Great place to stay, not far from lake fork the staff is friendly with a comfortable place to sleep..nice room and great bar for a place to relax with a favorite beverage!!! Nice pool and hot tub to relax in and unwind...
I love the peopel of East Texas. Always friendly and really like the area, but this hotel falls short. It's fairly new and clean, but it's overpriced the weekends of nearby Canton Trade Days and the bar area, which they sublet, is very loud. I was on the top floor and the music was shaking my room. I called 3 times between 11:30pm and 12:45am, and each time was told the music would be stopped "in a minute". It finally stopped after 1am. I don't care if they have fun but keep the volume where the rest of the hotel can sleep. When we checked out there was another party saying the same thing. Worst of all, the front desk person at checkout claimed that because the bar was rented by another person, there was "nothing they could do". So the owner of the building with hundreds of paying guests has no right but a party of 10 in a sublet bar got to do whatever they wanted? That is a sorry excuse for management. if you need sleep for a long road trip, do not stop here. Go 20 miles south to the interstate. If you are going to Canton Trade Days, there are lots of other options within 30 miles of Canton. Scratch this one from your list.
If you need sleep for the road, this is not the place. The hotel is nice and clean, but the walls are thin and staff claim they can do nothing about the very loud music thumping from the bar. They claimed it would shut down at 11 on Friday night and it stopped at 12:30 after numerous complaints, and then Saturday it went past 1am. I was 3 floors above and it shook my room. The desk claimed they had no control. Very poor response. Also the address is wrong. You have to travel a half-mile further east than your GPS or phone will take you, so you could easily miss it.
I think this is the best place to stay within a 10 or 15 mile radius of Lake Fork. The rooms are excellent, service is great, the complimentary breakfast served from 6 to 9 AM is good. The only negative aspect is a small charge per day for a reserved parking slot for a boat.
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At this location, it is not something to look forward to. This is the last thing most guests remember before check-out and should leave a lasting impression. I know you advertise "free breakfast", but it is certainly part of the overall cost. (I wasn't born yesterday!! ) Anything that you offer should be memorable, or don't offer it. Biscuits, gravy and sausage is always a winning combination, but I admit the waffles are the only thing to go for at this location.
I have been in so called- fancier hotels and I wasn't as impressed with their service or the cleanliness as with this hotel. The staff made sure we got to our room, answered questions, friendly.... The room was clean, air worked great, breakfast was very good! Would stay again!
2 night stay. Hotel clean and newer construction. Rooms clean and spacious. Microwave, refrigerator, and TV all worked fine. Bathroom clean with a large shower. Excellent hot breakfast - omelets, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, plus normal cold cereal, toast / bagels etc. 24x7 nice coffee machine. Nikki and Pam very helpful and great customer service, also has onsite bar and grill with 2 pool/billiard tables.
This hotel has definitely pulled through for me this time. Luxurious room, excellent service, nice breakfast. Kudos to desk clerks Pam and Sarah for down to earth friendliness. This property is serious about maintaining a great atmosphere for their guests.
There was a fishing tournament going on so we ended up with a beautiful king suite, way too much for our overnight stay, but so glad that the reception made something work for us, we were very tired after a long day of traveling. Suite was well appointed and comfortable. The included breakfast was ample and the nice young lady serving in the breakfast room was cheerful and very nice. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone.
We needed a place to stay close to Lake Fork for an early morning fishing trip. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff members were welcoming. They have a bar but it is only open Wednesday to Sunday and we were there on Monday so I can't vouch for it. Breakfast was early and that was perfect for us. Highly recommend.
Closest hotel to Canton (we waited too late) BUT, they didn't raise their rates at all (most within 20 miles raise them double for THAT weekend). Hotel extremely nice! Great pool and whirlpool. Very good, full, free breakfast! Just a great hotel. We will stay again!!
We will definitely stay here again. We have reservations for next year. We come to Canton every year in October and look forward to staying with you. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. We were impressed with the neatness and cleanliness of the Hotal. Thank you for a great stay!
I had an excellent stay there with you and sure enjoyed myself! I always do while visiting my hometown, my family and my friends! You all make coming home a lot more fun and a lot less stressful!!!!!!!
A wonderful hotel - clean, with good food (breakfast) and an outstanding team to insure your stay is pleasant. I had a medical emergency at two in the morning, which required assistance from the staff in getting me an ambulance to get to a local hospital (about 30 miles away). The receptionist was absolutely involved in making this happen and I can't thank her enough for her efforts. She is a real jewel! Highly recommend this Best Western.
I had driven from Santa Fe with my 140 lb.English Mastiff and was totally exhausted! I have a house that is only 14 miles down the same highway but it had been closed while I was gone and didn't feel like doing all the things to make it liveable! So,I stopped to have a good nights rest before ALL the things I needed to do that day! Get car registered>>Dog to her vet>>Flowers on My Mom's headstone etc.I almost stayed there when leaving for the same reason? And will stay again for the same reason! Very nice rooms and All the people were great!! But,,That's East Texas for you!!!
