Best Western Mountain View Inn

This hotel in Ellijay has amazing views from the 2nd floor rooms. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is included in price and is excellent. Pepper at the front desk was very sweet and friendly. There are not elevators, this is not a problem for us, but, if you have difficulty with steps 2nd floor would not be an option.

This hotel is old and dated, but the view outside is phenomenal! Also, customer service was amazing. I love the “guest of the day” program. It really made my whole stay:) very thoughtful. Would stay here again!

Very clean, spacious room, with comfortable beds. Excellent service and great location and wonderful vista of Blue Ridge mountains. Excellent breakfast and attentive staff. Very convenient to Ellijay and Blue Ridge.

PROS: Great hotel for the money. Nice breakfast including fresh fruit. Quiet area and very scenic overlook. Rooms well kept. Friendly staff. CONS: Very steep entrance that needs to be repaved. No elevator to the second floor - not a problem for me but might be for some people.

I received a warm welcome and a quick check-in. The room was very clean and refreshed with clean towels my second day. It's location is easy to access and close to everything that Ellijay has to offer. Great Staff!!

Flew into Atlanta and took 5 hours to get out of airport with a rental car. 5 stars a hundred times over. Great staff, clean rooms that were almost sound proof, great location and free breakfast. The view was amazing. We would stay here again.

The whirlpool in the room malfunctioned. Where the jets should have been pushing water out, they were sucking water in. The jet that was at the end of the tub sucked my wife's skin on her back and caused a large hematoma.

As a diamond select member of Best Western, I've stayed at this hotel all over the country and never had an experience so horrible as I had here. I went to check in after driving ten hours with my two daughters. We go apple picking in this area every fall. Wow. Dealing with reception at this hotel was a disaster. It just wasn't right. They had me on a "do not rent" list and told me I trashed a room there, which NEVER happened. NEVER. I asked when this allegedly occurred, but since it never happened, they didn't have any actual record of it. So, they had no idea when or how I supposedly trashed a room. I offered to pay them $500 or more as a deposit and told them they could check my room daily but I was exhausted from travel and just needed my room. They refused! Wow again. Again, I've stayed at Best Western for years as a Diamond Select member (the highest rank in membership) and I have NEVER left a room in a poor condition or "trashed". During this experience with the horrible receptionist, I called corporate and they confirmed they have no negative records of me. I explained over and over that it was a mistake but the female receptionist kept laughing and then called her manager behind closed doors and then came back and they had decided they'd call the police if my children and I didn't leave!!! What in the world? In my opinion, something was off. I have never been treated that way in my life. Never did anything wrong. This hotel is a mess. I do not know what's wrong with them but there was zero customer service; horrific customer service really. I now plan on cancelling my membership with BW and will NEVER stay at the BW in Ellijay ever again. My advice - don't stay here.

The hotel gave bed and breakfast vibes. It was a nice and small hotel. The staff has excellent hospitality and customer service. The jets in the bathroom tub didn't work. Also there was a gross bodily fluid stain on the sleeper sofa mattress. Overall I would stay here again. They need to make sure they address the issues that I mentioned.

Hotel does have a great view and close by restaurants and shopping. The mattress is very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. Staff needs to be trained on how to properly clean the whirlpool tub. The quality of the soap and shampooing items were of very poor quality. The room was supposed to have a microwave but had none. And when we checked out we had to wait about 15 minutes for the desk clerk to come back. The lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful.

Rooms are clean and simple with some lovely touches, such as towels cleverly folded in a fan in basket style. Generous fridge size, with a usable freezer section. Firm beds in natural pine frames. Older-style fixtures, but good shower pressure, with a massage head. Free Wi-Fi. Spectacular mountain views. Pool was unavailable during renovation, and there is no elevator to the second floor. But first floor was fine for my disabled daughter and our copious baggage.

I loved the location. Plenty of restaurants nearby. About a 30 min drive to waterfalls and rafting. It had an awesome view overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options for everyone. Nice staff. No pool, but it's noted before you book it. Looked like they might have been working on one though!

Located high atop the foothills of Ellijay, this hotel has one of the best overall staff that I have seen. From the front desk to the breakfast host as well as the housekeepers. Super polite and helpful

I would highly recommend this hotel. Amazing staff with a positive atmosphere and attitude. I was greeted with a kind smile and pleasant demeanour and the staff was so accommodating to my needs and stay there.

The hotel is what you expect but with a pretty awesome view. Could use new vending machine and options. The staff was polite. The down size is we had to cut our stay a night short. After the first night on the bed we knew we couldn't stay another night. It was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. We risked not getting a refund it was that bad. The lady did refund our 1 night.

What a pleasant surprise. This hotel was super clean and the staff was very welcoming. We were so impressed at the cleanliness of this property. The staff takes pride in what they do. I hope the management takes as good of care of the employees as they do the property. I would definitely stay here again. Hopefully, the pool will be open next time.

Stayed here for a night and was very happy. The staff were friendly and helpful, the view was great from the front, and the room was nicer than i expected it to be. Breakfast was good. We would definitely go back if we're in the area. Go in the back way past the main entrance, to avoid a very steep driveway :)

This is the second time I have stayed here while visiting the Blue Ridge/Ellijay area. It's just a reasonable hotel that is quiet, clean, and easily accessible. It has a nice view too. The breakfast is perfect - much better than some of the bigger hotels. The hotel staff is friendly and engaging.

If you want a secluded mountain hotel stay, with incredible views, and in close driving distance to food and activities this is the perfect place. I stayed here for an anniversary weekend and we were so pleased with our stay!

Beautiful view once you are at the hotel! Getting there can be a little tricky - especially if you sre not used to mountains. Very steep incline to parking, but well worth the view once you are there.

I had a really nice day outside of Ellijay Georgia at the best Western. The room was super clean fresh and accommodating. The TV and air conditioner worked perfect. Breakfast was also a winner. I would definitely stay here again. Giving it the highest marks possible.

Location is about 10 mins from downtown Ellijay. Really nice drive up with an insanely BEAUTIFUL view from the top. Property is really well maintained, and the cleanest rooms and common spaces you will experience. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Toiletries were provided and smell amazing. Now, let's talk about the staff. Pepper greeted us at the front desk and she was just so sweet and funny. She got us checked in in under 5 mins and gave us a Mountain View room which was PERFECT! She was so friendly and kind. I would ABSOLUTELY come back and highly recommend everyone to choose Best Western Mountain View at Ellijay!!!!

We stayed for two nights in December while touring the area. The property was well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the heater worked well. We had a second floor room and the view of the mountains was beautiful. The breakfast was basic but well stocked, they didn't run out of food or have broken machines. Overall a well maintained reasonably priced hotel.

Rock hard bed is the ONLY negative. Place is updated and clean. Staff is super friendly / helpful. Girl that works breakfast is a cleaning machine! Front clerk was an A+++. Prison bed is a deal breaker.

Going up the hilltop was the first exciting moment you arrive at the Best Western. Very steep. Then you see the hotel and it is one of the best looking Best Westerns I have seen. We usually stay at Marriott. The hotel manager had decorated the front entrance with Halloween and it was very homey. Our room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator but that didn't bother us. Room was very clean, large, and no ODOR. We stayed for 2 nights and both nights got a good sleep. Breakfast is small, but nice and the front desk people were helpful and kind. Nothing better than a good surprise when you least expect it. Thanks Best Western.

The staff was awesome! our grandson wanted milk at 11 pm and your staff was very helpful in getting him some. The carpet needs cleaning, our grandson was bare feet and his feet were dirty from walking on the carpet, we had 2 queen beds that only had a mattress on a board that was uncomfortable; the linen was clean.

We had a voucher for a free night's stay which we were instructed to furnish at check-in, which we did, but had to wait until the next morning for the transaction. Somehow the corporate offices said it was an Australian voucher. Anyway, the lady at the check in counter worked tirelessly to get the situation straightened out, which we really appreciated.

Really nice desk crew, great views, wonderful hot breakfast. I was a bit surprised there wasn't an elevator (2 floors) but they had plenty of handicapped accessible rooms. The indoor pool was closed for the season but looked great. Would stay here again

The staff was absolutely amazing. They went out if their way to make you feel at home. The kindness was radiating. Coffee, hot water & chocolate 24-7. Delicious breakfast. Absolutely gorgeous View. Not super modern but very very cozy!

We stayed here one night on our way to Blue ridge scenic train with my kids. Woke up in the middle of night to a centipede on the bathroom floor. After that i just couldn't sleep because I was worried there were more in the room. I told the front desk about it so they are aware. My husband caught the centipede and took it outside.

Everyone on staff was attentive, kind, and polite. Our room was very nice and very clean. Housekeeping staff took care of our needs immediately and were very nice. Breakfast was complete with eggs, bacon or sausage, and biscuits along with variety of pastries, yogurt, and pancakes. It was a very pleasant stay.

Superior views, employees, services, and price. We enjoyed it so much that on our next car trip we will be there again for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great. All employees were helpful and friendly! The view! Just fantastic!

Checking in the hotel was easy and simple. Was able to get a room right away. The service at the front desk was very helpful. The room was nice and clean. Once we got settled Boyfriend set up the Nintendo switch and we watched Hulu on the flat screen in the room. Then we went out to eat, at one of the nearby restaurants. We had a long day of scenic parks and Apple picking.

The BW hotel view is just spectacular and was an inviting atmosphere for getting rest and relaxation, and I will stay there again when I come back to Ellijay, GA. The room was also inviting and comfortable too.

This place has the best view. Good clean room with nice sheets and bed covers. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was super friendly. Felt very comfortable. And the best part is they care for local stray cats and kittens on their property. There was an adult feral cat and 2 kittens there when we stayed. They provide a safe place for them to sleep and food and water. Plus the whole staff cares for them and any medical care. They were so fun to visit since we were missing our fur babies from home. Made my stay awesome!! The kittens are getting used to human contact from the guests who cuddle them. I would come back here in a heartbeat. My new place to stay on my way down to Florida

Noise from adjoining room was annoying. I could clearly hear normal volume levels of conversation from the adjoining room. No mention of pool and hot tub not working during the reservation process and no offer of a discount to reflect these ammenities not working, Great views and friendly staff.

We arrived at about 9 P.M. and woke to the mountain view and the morning sun over the mountain range from the top of the hotel vista and it was fabulous! The day started off with a great breakfast provided by the hotel and then meeting our realtor at The Mountain View Inn. The desk staff were awesome and the room was great! We would highly recommend this as a place to stop right outside of Ellijay to sit back and relax, if only for a night. Well worth the trip!

The manager was very rude, it was loud, the room was not clean. I was traveling for work and did not feel safe. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Best Western are typically good hotels but this manager had no idea how to run a hotel.

Rather than spend mega bucks on a cabin for just the 2 of us, I found this cute hotel in the mountains. It was a nice place to stay, great breakfast, great staff!! The hotel was clean and quiet. No elevator, but only 2 levels.

My wife and I were in town to close on a new home and needed a place to stay for one night. We are very famiiar with Ellijay and had heard good things about the Best Western if you needed lodging for a short stay. We found the property to be very clean, safe, inviting and While it's an older property, it has been updated and is very well kept. Our room was larger than a typical current motel room and was exceptionally clean. Our stay was quiet and restful. The staff was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and acted like they really cared about you. In short, their customer service was great. I highly recommend this property if you need lodging in Ellijay.

A gem of a hotel in a stunning setting. Loved the open vista on our arrival and can't understand why people complain about the location or roads. Yes, they are steep, but maybe don't book a holiday in the mountains if you can't cope with the roads? Welcome on reception was great,only sorry we didn't get the helpful gentleman's name, saw him a couple of times and he was very informative. Everywhere was clean, the rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Good toiletries as well. Breakfast was plentiful, no complaints at all, and lady there was busy replenishing and helping too. Would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at a red roof inn paid 30 dollars more and the place was awful. I have stayed here at Mountain view inn and its sucha delight to have clean room excellent food at breakfast and custerm seervice with smiles!

First of all, our room location sucks big time! For the money that we paid, it's borderline a rip off. The building's architecture is so outdated. It is unfortunate that it doesn't take advantage of wonderful views of the area. The whole place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Second, the food sucks too. Their bad for one's health. Everything is processed and unnatural. One can potentially acquire cancer from eating that stuff on a regular basis. Third, the pool is still closed after all that time, months! The lady at the front desk said because of parts. I believe that's a very poor excuse. Obviously, the property manager doesn't care enough about the experience of the guests. Fourth, there is NO elevator! We had to drag our luggage up and down THE STAIRS. Terrible for our back, and just plain embarrassing to the other guests. On a positive note, the young lady server at the kitchen/cafeteria was very nice and industrious. She was very accommodating. My sincere apologies for the cold, hard truth but I don't believe we will ever go back to that Best Western. It should actually be called Worst Western. Seriously! (P.S. This feedback will also be on Yelp.)

Beautiful, clean hotel. Loved the jacuzzi in room after a long day on the mountains. Preferred to use the rear gravel entrance which was less steep than the front, concrete entrance. Breakfast was a little sparse but the grab bag was nice for the road. Sunrise over the mountains was gorgeous. Looking forward to future stays here.

Pool and hot tub closed but that was not advertised. Paid extra for a room with jacuzzi tub and it was broken. Requested a different room and was told there weren't any. I could have spent less money at a different hotel but I spent more to stay here for no reason.

Checked in at 2am, very friendly staff. Room was very clean, A+! Bed was okay - firm but springy mattress. Bring your own pillows if you don't like lofty bed pillows. The hot breakfast leaves more to be desired, especially if you are a grown man. Overall still a great place to stay. Room cleanliness is first and foremost the most important thing for me. The bed linens were crisp and clean, towels a bright white. Staff was very friendly and the location was great. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ellijay.

My top priority is cleanliness. This hotel was very clean. The location was convenient as stores and restaurants are just across hwy 515. It's also close to historic Ellijay without having to get on hwy 515. Bed was comfortable. Front desk worker was pleasant and helpful. It is on top of a steep hill which didn't bother us but might be scary to some. It was quiet. The only thing lacking was the breakfast and the pool. The pool will not be open until next year but their website states that. The only hot item for breakfast was a prepackaged sausage, egg, and cheese croissant that was microwaved for us by an employee. We almost missed it because it wasn't out with the other things. The breakfast area was very clean.

Not sure why we were not allowed to book a room before check-in time. The hotel was not booked. Front desk clerk did not want to deal withGift card vouchers. Maybe she did not know how to handle them.

My husband and I stayed here the 2nd weekend of November. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff were very friendly. The hotel was quiet and the the room was very clean. The view was very nice and off the beaten path. I've stayed here before and I would again. The breakfast is a condensed grab and go/oatmeals, granolas, muffins etc with juices and coffee. We took the back road to come in and go out since the main entrance is very steep. (great advice from other reviewers). It is very convenient to shopping, restaurants and orchards. Good value and clean room.

My wife and I were kicked out of the hotel because our ADA service dogs barked when a unsupervised child teased them. We were planning to stay 4 days but had to find different lodging. When we told the staff that we would give a bad review they said go ahead "we are privately owned ". So we don't care.

This hotel is up on a hill with a wonderful view of the mountains. It is away from the highway and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable!

This is always our first choice for lodging when visiting Ellijay! The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The view is outstanding and the property is away from the hustle and bustle but still in town!

I was not notified at time of booking nor was it listed anywhere that the place does not have an elevator. I was traveling with my elderly mom and disabled sister. We were not offered an alternate room or any help with getting them or our luggage up or down the stairs. The staff did not see apologetic or concerned about our plight. Also, our door would not stay locked.

This appears to be an older hotel that has been through an overhaul. It may be the cleanest place I've stayed at in a long while. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms plenty big enough for an overnight stay. Breakfast is adequate for continental style and coffee was good. Mattresses are a bit firm for me but that's personal preference. I think anyone staying here would return again. Biggest plus for here is a great view and very quit. Would not hesitate returning.

I always read reviews before I choose hotel. This hotel gets an A+ rating . It was the cleanest one I believe we have ever stayed in. They had friendly staff, decorated for fall and the breakfast was good. I liked the egg cheese omelet. According to when you go for breakfast it might be a bit crowded but they do have out door seating . Hotel sits on top of mountain which has a beautiful view. In winter you would need to drive up the back road behind hotel and not drive up the front which is concrete. I would definitely stay in this hotel if ever we are back in area again

Appears to be an older hotel that has been given a major renovation. Clean hotel. Superb friendly staff. Bathrooms were EXTREMELY tiny. Hotel was packed for apple festival and not enough room in the breakfast area. The view is outstanding. The beds are lacking to my liking but the overall attitude of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel make up for it. Previous reviews of no elevator are true but then the staff offer to carry your luggage up the stairs, couldn't ask for better staff.

Well,first of all it is a beautiful view from the hotel.I rated it average because it lacked some things.Be aware that there is no elevator.Breakfast was very crowded.Beds are a little hard.The bathroom is tiny;I am almost positive a wheelchair would fit though.Pool was closed due to “COVID”.Staff was very kind and offered to take our bags upstairs.

This hotel was convenient for all attractions' in the Ellijay area. The staff was very helpful and courteous. There is no elevator at this location. We stayed on the lower level so this was not a problem for us but if you have someone with disabilities need to address with hotel The driveway up to the hotel is a little but steep (kind of scary actually) they do have a back entrance that is much better. We did have to ask . The view is fantastic. I would stay here again.

Hotel was new, clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small for a handicap needing scooter access. Driveway was terrible--steep, grated bottom driving up with a scooter platform, 2nd. driveway fro truck use was a little better, but access really impacted our assessment of the hotel. Very quiet and beautiful country views. Breakfast was passable, and the woman in charge went out of her way to accomodate my husbands diabetic needs for protein in the food served. Convienient to Blue Ridge at half the price for lodging.

The room was so nice, the staff was amazing. Definitely enjoyed our stay and will return again! The bed was so comfy, we were able to get a lot of sleep. We also got a room with a jacuzzi and it was so great and relaxing.

My wife and I have stayed at Mountain View Inn many times over the last several years. Each time has been wonderful. The staff has always gone above to accommodate us in whatever we need. The view of the mountains and looking down on East Ellijay is beautiful. Already have scheduled another stay in Oct 2021.

We stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Every one was wonderful and the view was excellent.The bag breakfast was okay. They were out of yogurt, but for the most part we had a great business trip.

We traveled here to see if we wanted to live here. We were checking out the area. This hotel is up a steep incline on a not very well marked road. It is surrounded by several small towns. I would not stay here again.

This was our first time staying in the area and discovering the hotel was at the top of a hill was interesting, but it was a beautiful view and with the trek to the top was worth it. Will definitely have to visit this place again

Very clean room. Great view of mountains out front. Air conditioner made a little more noise than most. Due to Covid, only had grab & go for breakfast. Front desk host very friendly and helpful. Would stay again!

Very nice hotel and a great view, but that drive up to the parking lot is a bit scary! The room was clean and staff friendly. It is also only a few minutes from the business district. We stayed here for 2 nights and would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel before. The staff is friendly, rooms are cleaning and nice. Beautiful view of the mountains. A Couple of things you need to know before you booked this place. Try to get on the first floor. There is no elevator to the second floor. Also, When u arrive, you will see a sign for truck entrance. Take that entrance. I do not recommend you taking the first entrance, it is very steep and concrete is in need of repair. Other then that, place is good for an overnight stay.

I'm a business owner with two branches one in Ellijay one in Augusta ga. Great for my girlfriend and I when I'm in town. It's close to everything and reasonably affordable. We would love to have are own rate so we wouldn't have to shop around on internet for our price.

Some of the staff are very rude and condescending. When we arrived, we were “shushed” and reminded of the quiet hours before even checking in. Not a friendly reminder, but basically told we were talking too loud. One of our rooms was missing amenities (fridge). Grab and go breakfast ends at 9, when the book in the room says 10. So, we missed the substandard breakfast. No elevator in 2021? What's up with that? We were on the 2nd floor and had to carry luggage up the stairs. They basically provide nothing to you. No coffee in the lobby, nothing. It's really not that hard to work within these COVID restrictions and try to make it enjoyable (others successfully do it). The hotel does sit up on a great hill overlooking the mountains. Cool view. It was also clean. That's about it. That's all you get for the money.

The hotel was wonderful with great staff. Close to restaurants easy to get to. The rooms were clean and neat . The only drawback is you have to take stairs to the 2nd floor since there is no elevator.

The beds are comfortable. The hotel was on the top of a mountain so you have a great view. The lady at the front desk was so helpful. The sunrise view from the parking lot is really something to see if you are just in town and have the time.

The positive: strong Wi-Fi and nice mountain view. The negative: thin walls, noisy if you stay on the first floor, broken ice machine, no fridge or microwave (at least in room 113), old and worn curtains with holes, uncomfortable pillows, very poor breakfast selection with grab and go bags. Pool was closed due to pandemic. If I were to return to the area, I would stay in a new Comfort Inn and Suites in Ellijay which is also more centrally located to restaurants, cinema, and gas stations. I wish I had known before I stayed here. I hope it helps. Thank you.

Really enjoyed the Mountain View, room was clean and the linens smelled really great. Service was amazing no complaints. Definitely will book there again if I'm in the area. Definitely recommend top floor, walls and floor not sound proof. I have toddler and felt bad for people beneath us. Other than that all was perfect.

Very nice place where you get a room with a view. Excellent location. Had the feel of being out in the woods but it was actually very close to numerous restaurants and Walmart. Very clean and comfortable bed.

I enjoyed staying here. Nice place for a quick getaway. Breakfast was nothing to fuss over with Grab N Go, but currently nobody has a great breakfast like pre-Covid. Slept well even with Zeta category 2 storm going on. this place is on the side of a mountain, so there is a beautiful view. Pleasant staff. Clean room. They provided me with ice. Refrigerator actually froze my ice packs. That usually does not happen in those small refrigerator in hotels. So I would definitely go back to this place for Apple festival time in Ellijay or Blue Ridge areas of Georgia.

Even though the weather was overcast, We planned a 4 generation girls trip for my Moms 78th birthday. I wanted to go to Blue Ridge and ride the train. The foliage this time of year was beautiful. Elijay was the perfect location. We went to an Apple Barn the first day and rode the train the next day. The view from the Inn was awesome! The staff were super friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. We will definitely stay here again!!

I was very dissapointed. This is my second stay here last stay was five years ago. No refrigerator or microwave. I didnt remember this or I would have brought a small cooler. I thought all hotels had those. We always keep drinks and leftovers in refrigerator. Due to covid indoor pool was closed I felt there should be notice given at time of reservation. Had to wait for someone to get me ice. I guess this is covid too. Hotel was clean and staff very nice.

Hotel seemed very safe and was well kept and clean. The bathroom/sink layout made the room seem a bit small, but it really isn't. Price is a bit higher than many other options in the area/surrounding towns, but based on reviews and my experience, the added price is likely worth it. Rooms were clean and in good working order and staff was very friendly.

My husband and I spent Labor day weekend here, and I have to despite covid 19, this hotel was very accommodating, masks must be worn in common indoor areas and the pool is not open, but the customer service was top notch and the grab and go breakfast was the best I've ever had, warm meat biscuits plus a bag of treats that included and apple and some sweets! This was our second visit here and we will definitely be back!

Stayed at the BW in Ellijay, Ga It was quite, clean and had friendly staff. Check-in was fast as well as check-out. Due to COVID a bagged breakfast was provided. Although the breakfast was appreciated it wasn't appropriate for breakfast. I will stay there again!!

Wonderful location and view. Very clean. Rooms had nice decor. It was Covid times so no pool or hot tub. But it looked nice. No breakfast. We were given a bag breakfast with no beverage. When I asked about a bottle of water, I was directed to the vending machine. Seriously! The ice machine was broken. And be forewarned if you stay on the 2nd floor there is no elevator. I went ahead and opted for a 2nd story room because of the view.

After being cooped up for several months due to the Covid pandemic we decided to head out of town for a quick weekend trip - Didn't expect to find such a nice hotel at such late notice - Very pleased with staff and cleanliness

Staff was very very friendly opening the doors to help me get my precious bike to my room. Staff always smiling behind their masks. I could tell they wanted to help more with anything... but limited due to COVID 19 restrictions. Bike wash in the back . Comfy beds... was the nicest best western I've stayed in.

This is our 2nd time to stay at this hotel. Both times we have been amazed at how friendly and helpful the staff is. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The entire hotel is clean and maintained. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

find somewhere else to stay, this place is beyond overpriced. the breakfast was closed due to covid. they provided grab bags, the pastry was a chocolate oatmeal pie, orange, and granola bar. no OJ, no water, no ice. coffee if you asked. rooms are extremely dated, and the shampoo bottles are so small you need like 10 to wash your hair one time.

Everything about this place was great! Both ladies at the front desk were awesome and they recommended a couple of really good places to eat and boy were the right! The views were also awesome from the front deck!

On a long drive, stopped here for one night. Very friendly desk person. Pool area looks nice, but sadly was closed due to the virus crisis. No exercise room, but the desk clerk said in a semi-funny way that I could walk up and down the steep driveway for exercise. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Booked a two night get away for Mother's Day weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful, choose a room with a view and jetted tub!! Rooms were clean and comfortable Had a wonderful weekend.. Hotel is a very close to downtown Ellijay.. mom and pop storefronts abound. Enjoyed food, shopping and a laid back atmosphere.. very walkable and family friendly. In addition hiking, tubing, waterfalls all within close proximity to the hotel. Highly recommend..

The driveway up is very sketchy but the views are amazing and the hotel is even more. There were a few seats and a park bench around, so that you could enjoy the massive panoramic mountain to skyline view for miles across.

All staff was friendly and very welcoming. I really liked the hot tub it was great to get back to the hotel and enjoy a few minutes of a relaxing place. I really liked the location of the hotel in the top of the hill it has a great view.

I am going to be honest and say i am used to staying at high end hotels. I have been to Ellijay to look for property and decided to stay here because of the reviews and options. The rooms are very clean, the staff so kind and its very convenient.

Great, clean place to stay. Kids loved being able to go swimming in the indoor heated pool in the middle of winter. After a long day, I was so happy to enjoy the hot tub. We will be up there again and be staying there.

Don't stay here. The view is great but the beds are hard and they try to run you out first thing in the morning. They double charged my card and it took two weeks to get the second charge dropped. Stay away! It's not worth the noise and hassle!

Beautiful view from top of the mountain, Rooms are spacious, Clean and we'll equip, Breakfast was Hot and delicious. Biscuits and Gravy, and an automatic Pancake maker. Indoor swimming pool, King size bed on downstairs floor was ideal for us.

This mountain venue has it all great view, reaxing spa and indoor pool, with a most nurturing breakfast. The location is close to the many recreational spots in the North Georgia Mountains as well as an iconic historic downtown district located close to a wide range of adult and family resturants.

Clean rooms, mediocre breakfast but it does the job...the views made the stay for sure, no elevator which was odd but we stayed on the first floor so it was ok, close to stores their just a few minutes down the mountain.

Mattress was extremely firm/hard. We didn't finish our stay,left during our second night. Breakfast area was way too small and crowded. Priced to high for an outdated room. Indoor Pool and hot tub was very nice.

We had to stay an extra four days while the floors were finished in our new house. Everyone was friendly and very helpful! I highly recommend this hotel. It also has an amazing view and plenty of parking.

Best Western East Ellijay was a great place to stay staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and very clean. Very accommodating with my physical handicap made sure I had down stairs. we will always at this Best Western of East Ellijay when we are in town.

We had a 2nd story room with a jetted tub overlooking the mountains! Enjoyed mountain top location! Quiet! Great Staff! Pancake machine! Benches to sit outside & drink hot cocoa! No elevator. Just 2 floors. Staff helped with our luggage

This hotel is seated at the top of a very steep hill and overlooks the mountains, which is the best perk of the place. Employees seem unhappy, breakfast is a faux-egg disc with thawed sausage., canned fruit, oatmeal. Luckily they had some yogurt! There aren't enough tables to accommodate all guests, so many went back to their rooms to eat.

This hotel is on the tip top of a mountain and is very clean. The breakfast is warm and hits the spot as long as you do not get the pancakes, they are like rubber but then again they are from a machine. Make sure to take ear plugs, the walls are really thin and you might not have quiet neighbors. The front desk associates are very warm and welcoming.

This hilltop motel offers a fabulous view. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was both friendly and very helpful in making recommendations and giving directions. We will put this motel on our return- to list.

We loved the view from our room overlooking the valley below. From check-in to check-out everyone was exceptionally warm and friendly to us and to others customers as well. The room was very clean and everything was in good working order. My parents really enjoyed the breakfast! The hotel was convenient to everything! we have stayed at several Best Westerns and till this time we have always had good experiences. the room we stayed in this time had a very small tv set that was hard to see. it had a broken window pane that if you rubbed your finger across it you could get cut. the refrigerator and microwave was sitting on a stand that didn't match the room decor. also these looked very old. we also had something called a transportation tax on our bill. what's this? they didn't do anything to help us get there. Transportation Tax!!! anyway we will stay at Best Western again, just not this one.

Every employee was helpful and friendly when I ask for about or for something. Always made great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. I stayed 8 nights had amazing room service with a clean room and even was even left a gift from housekeeping one day . If I'm ever back in Ellijay Georgia I will definitely stay at this hotel again. One of the best hotel experiences I have had in awhile and I travel regularly

view is amazing and an added benefit of staying here. Super clean, hot water - and we took 4 showers, asked for extra blankets and they arrived immediately. Room is plain but fine for what we needed overnight, breakfast was great for my kids, nice big indoor pool. I normally would not expect Best Western to be this nice but not so many choices in Ellijay, would not hesitate to stay again, exceeded my expectations. only negative - our room near the lobby so a but noisy, ask for room upstairs might be quieter.

A really nice hotel with reasonable rates, especially for the area. It was well kept and had excellent views of the mountains. They have a nice indoor pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again and would recommend.

From the moment of arrival to checkout, we were treated well. The room was very clean. The Icebox in the room looked brand new and had a spacious freezer area. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices including hot pancakes. The staff of the hotel gave us great recommendations for restaurants and directions to our next stop on our trip. The view watching the sunrise over the mountains was awesome. They have benches on the property where you can sit and watch the view. The hotel was very quiet also. We had the king room with Mountain View and jacuzzi tub. Do be aware that they do not have an elevator, just stairs.

The rooms were so nice, very clean, looks to be newly remodeled. The bed was so comfortable. They have quiet hours posted which was very thoughtful. The staff is so friendly, the breakfast bar is amazing. There is nothing but GOOD I can say about this hotel.

Stayed here 3 or 4 times while working on a real estate project. An affordable, economical choice. Rooms are spartan in decor but sensibly furnished with fridges, etc., pool & hot tub are ample, staff is charming, breakfast filling with sufficient choices, and there's a small courtyard between pool and breakfast room for bring-your-own-takeout dinner dining. Eat there and you'll be visited by the hotel cat, who has two shyer, more feral companions that also lurk about. Nice mountain views, like the name says, and some stars to be seen at night. I'd personally like to see a touch more room decor -- a paint-by-numbers, anything! and the steep driveway up has a blind curve at the top that would benefit from a big mirror to avoid oncoming traffic (it never happened to us but because the incline forces the upcoming driver to accelerate, it's an easy fix they should address).

A simple inn/motel that has friendly staff, is clean, and is conveniently located for driving to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The drive up to the inn is a bit steep, but allows for views of the mountainous landscape. Free parking. The bed was slightly firm and was surprisingly quite comfortable. We had a very quiet stay, but noise may potentially be problem if busy, but this is true of most places. We definitely recommend.

Simple hotel great view...very clean.. quiet...rented 2 rooms , had a nice breakfast before we started our day ..went rafting rolling thunder..wonderful time ...came back to a clean quiet room at ok price....I have stayed in blue ridge and would rather drive extra and stay here....Taylor at the desk was wonderful ...very helpful and professional...give that girl a raise....we will be back

Visited Ellijay for a weekend visit. Had a great time. Good clean place to stay. Excellent value. Great view. Friendly staff. Would definitely repeat. It's a two story hotel so no elevator. A steep drive up to the parking lot.

This hotel is one of the highest rated in the State of Georgia for a reason--great, accommodating staff, clean facility, great view. We'd stay there again if in the area, and would recommend it to others.

The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked this hotel so much that we stayed there three nights and took day trips around the area. Breakfast is available until 10:00 am. Almost like staying in a resort.

Our stay was very lovely with this quiet, clean, and comfortable hotel. In its simplicity, we found it to be very warm and friendly. We also liked how the property was nestled on a hill overlooking the mountains, and was not near anything else, yet in close driving distance to restaurants and stores. All the staff were very kind!

I was just woken up by the desk clerk to move my truck that was parked in a line of vehicles in the parking lot for the last 6 hours. Honestly? Waiting until I was in REM sleep to pull this stunt? No wonder the BW brand name is in a tail spin! Avoid. This. Hotel.

It is just so nice to wake up in the morning on top of the mountain looking at the sun rise with a cup of coffee. Now, their are not too many places in the World where this will happen. Also, as you sit on top of the mountain, no noise or cars rushing buy you and the smell of the Fresh air

Everyone was very friendly, the food every morning was delicious, and the room always clean. We were able to see the mountains from our room and had use of the outside glider swing. Very relaxing stay.

Every staff member we met was friendly and warm. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I have no complaints about the room or staff... all wonderful and we were very pleased. The breakfast was not good, pancake machine was broken, and other selections were lacking. The pool was nice that it was indoor but could stand to be cleaned. The hot tub has a foul stench. All in all this was a nice stay. The rooms were very clean and that is the most important thing.

I initially was disappointed with the location because of the traffic noise that could be heard in front of this hotel. It sits high up above the surrounding areas, the view is amazing,the noise carries. But, only out front. The hotel and room were clean. The bed, sheets, pillows very comfy. The staff are AMAZING! Friendly and accommodating. This is a small hotel, 2 floors. It was quiet and felt very safe. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were clean and the surrounding area peaceful. Patio tables and chairs, flowers in bloom, landscape inviting. The breakfast was more than a continental yet not a "full" buffet. The food was hot, tasty and fresh. This is not a luxury hotel, if thats what you're looking for you will more than likely want to go elsewhere. It is also not my idea of a "basic" hotel. It's in the middle. If in the area I would stay again.

Sadly, we only stayed one night. The view is awesome. Be prepared for a STEEP road to get to the hotel --- there is a back entrance that isn't as steep but it's gravel. The view is worth the stay. Indoor pool was very nice. No elevator -- so if you're on the 2nd floor you'd better be traveling light. Rooms were basic, but clean. The staff was exceptionally cordial.

We stayed here for 2 nights because it was near Blue Ridge. The hotel was on a mountain side great views of the mountains our room was very clean and comfortable staff was very friendly to us it's a quiet place. Has a hot breakfast also and a pool and a small courtyard. The grounds are well kept. I even seen the owner cleaning up outside you can tell they take pride in there establishment.

Being a BW Rewards member, had a day to kill and found this property and drove up to the mountains for an evening. Made reservations on phone. Got there, and got firm "no's" to any and all requests - lazy desk clerks - being a Diamond member matter at this location. Room on second floor, no elevator, and again, desk personnel didn't care that I had A LOT of stuff to lug up and down the stairs. They tried to infer that EVERY room in the hotel was a request and wouldn't even check to see they could move someone, and they weren't very nice about it. Place not all that clean, overpriced, and definitely not accommodating. I won't be going back.

Clean and spacious room. Bed was comfortable. Microwave and fridge in room which I appreciated. I got in late so I didn't make it to breakfast. Staff I encountered was pleasant and helpful. Lovely view if you get a room on the front side of the hotel.

We loved the location. We had a room with a view of the mountains and it was beautiful. We would have liked for the windows to open to let in some fresh air but they were fixed windows. We felt the hotel was very quiet and we did not experience any noise issues while in the room. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. I would suggest when you check-in to ask for pool towels to use in your room. The towels were so hard and scratchy, we could hardly use them. We told the desk employee they felt like sandpaper and that they should use some fabric softener. She said many guests complain about the towels and that Best Western made them replace all their towels with these new, horrible ones. The towels they use for the pool are the old towels that were replaced and they were much softer. The breakfast dining area is small and there are minimal choices but it was OK. Be aware that it is very loud in that small dining area, as there are no materials to help absorb any sound from conversations. If anyone talks loudly, and there was an instance of that the first morning we were there and we had to leave and go eat breakfast in town because the noise was unbearable. We went down much earlier the second morning and were able to eat without disruption.

This hotel definitely needs a remodel. Everything is old and outdated. The bed is ridiculously hard, my back still hurts. I almost slept in the chair. Which brings me to the furinture. Our office chair had stains on it and the other chair on the room looked liked it was picked up on a side road yard sale. The room even smelled weird. The internet did not work the entire time we were there. The drive up to the hotel was steep and unsafe. I would warn people to stay far far away.

This was our first time staying at this Best Western or even staying in Ellijay. I must say I hate staying in Hotels or Inn. BWMVI is very clean and the staff are Great!! and the breakfast was enjoyable! We loved it and will stay again!! Thanks to everyone!!! Seresa and Ray Raleigh N.C.

I do not enjoy staying in hotels so my 5 star rating is say a lot. So quiet in our room we did not hear other guests or traffic. Bed was very comfortable and all the areas were very clean. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast although we did appreciate it, nothing fancy. I got a better rate than was advertised online.

Jet jacuzzi was amamzing ! Very clean hotel very close to shops yet still has that getaway feelings. Amazing Mountain View, and it is ver close to other great locations. I highly recommend this as a couples retreat

A long weekend trip to Blue Ridge started with a great little inn right off highway 5. Drove up a short hill to a gorgeous view and a charming location beautifully decorated for the holidays. Not fancy, but a great stay with a very comfortable bed and very clean room. Taylor was delightful and helpful as she checked us in. Served a better than usual hotel breakfast, easy drive to Blue Ridge.

Amanda the front desk clerk was awesome and she went above & beyond meeting our expectations while on vacation. The Hotel is such a gem and we will be staying there again!! Our new home away from home!!!❤️❤️❤️

What a wonderful hotel! The views are amazing, the rooms are spotless and the staff are nice and helpful. We only had one night and I wanted to take the California King bed home with us. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

The hotel sits on a hill with a great view. The access to the hotel from the street is up a narrow driveway. The driveway is steep and there are no lights on either side of the driveway which makes it difficult to maneuver at night. One side of the driveway has a steep drop off. This place does not have an elevator and the stairways make it difficult if you are carrying a suitcase to the second floor. The bed had a paper thin blanket and no comforter. I had to turn the heat up to keep myself warm.The lighting is poor and the table and chair make it difficult if you need to work from a computer.The staff were great the rooms are clean.

Best Western location is difficult to turn into from road and the hotel has no elevator to reach upstairs rooms. Great folks at desk and room was fine but the combination of the difficult turn and the lack of elevator makes this a less than normal Best Western.

Very clean rooms, accommodating staff, a bit pricey, and thin walls. Still, the best in the area.Bring your own TP.Look for the "BW" sign on Coosawatee Drive (just west off 515), and climb the hill. Take the next right (Mountain View Road, and it isn't marked), and climb the 2nd hill. You won't see the motel until you climb the second hill.Rear rooms are quiet, facing a forest; front rooms have a spectacular view, but can hear some highway noise down below (shouldn't be a problem in the wee hours).

Hotel was super clean, staff was super nice and location was perfect from trips to local wineries and other sightseeing destinations. Staff gave great recommendations for local eateries. The breakfast choices were awesome and the internet speed was very quick.

This is my 4th visit to the town of Ellijay GA. There is no other place in this area that I would stay. The staff is very inviting & personable. I am looking for a home to buy & everyone was excited to tell me about their town. I love it here.

Excellent stay. The staff was very helpful. Room and common areas were very clean. Some areas of the room could use some paint, but overall the room was very clean. Breakfast was small but very good. Overall we will consider staying here again on our next visit to the area.

We came here because we got away for a weekend in the north GA mountains. I recognize that Best Westerns are not high end hotels. But, they are clean and provide a room with basics. This hotel was a true disappointment. First, because we booked through Priceline, the hotel put us in the handicapped room. (This, by the way, is becoming standard practice at hotels now. They're “punishing” you.) Most of the time they will move you. We would have left, but the room is prepaid with Priceline. We pulled in around 9:30-10:00 p.m. Eastern. Upon learning it was the handicapped room, the polite young woman at the counter repeatedly stated she would not move us. She had been told not to do so and was more interested in following rules than customer service. We let it drop because she was not going to move us. Instead, she told us that for X amount of dollars she'd be happy to put us in an available king suite. With no other recourse, we agreed. We went to our room. It was adequate-until I walked into the bathroom. There was mold or mildew in the toilet. The seat was up, and there was dried urine on the toilet. The young woman immediately offered to clean it. Needless to say, this was not welcome at 10:00 at night. I pulled the sheets back on the bed while she was there. The sheets were wrinkled; there were no pillowcases on the pillows. She stated at first that the sheets were fine. After asking how we know that no one had slept in it, my husband told her, “Just bring us some sheets. I'll change the bed.” She left to get them. My husband followed her to get them and said that she did offer to change them herself. He declined. We changed them. The young lady did not offer anything except her apologies. The next morning my husband spoke to someone at the front desk in the morning and explained all that had happened. This was someone with some common sense. They did agree to take the charges off our bill and refund our money. For that, we thank you. Other things we discovered: Be careful driving in at night; there is a sharp left turn at the top of the driveway. If you drive straight, you will literally drive off the edge of a high ledge. There are no warning signs. The pillows were not full size. The sofa and chair were uncomfortably lumpy and stained. The furniture was old. There was nothing updated about it. The hotel has no elevator. It has a narrow stairway. It does have a nice pool. It does serve a breakfast, not what you'd get elsewhere. It does have a beautiful view, but not from your room—the parking lot. This was an adequate hotel. That's the best I can say. I would not choose to stay here again.

King room was clean and good sized. There is no elevator so if you get a room on the 2nd floor you're making multiple trips up and down the stairs, also no 2nd floor ice machine or vending. The bed was very uncomfortable which resulted both of us having sore backs both mornings. The pillows were about the size of a postage stamp and rated up there with the mattress. Pool area was ok as was the hot tub, although somewhat dated.

When I stay at this hotel, you are on top of the mountain over looking the valley, no noise, quite and a pleasent place to be refreshed. You do not hear the traffic or have lots of people making noise. You can get up early in the morning, have a cup of coffie or tea, watch the sun come up over the mountain. Just a place to relax

We loved our stay here! They treat you like family! Spacious rooms! Comfy bed! Yummy breakfast! Clean! Friendly staff! We stayed on the 2nd floor with a beautiful mountain view! They do not have an elevator however it's only one floor. What a view! Fun driveway

I would rebook if in the area without looking elsewhere. The hotel is located on a mountainside with a great view of surrounding mountains. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great stay.

So glad we decided to stay here. Breakfast was much better than your typical hotel breakfast, even at 9:40AM the staff was restocking the hot items. The coffee was fresh and hot throughout the day. The indoor pool was great for our kids and was surrounded by an outside patio. The salt water in the pool did burn my girls eyes, but I don't think that is the fault of the hotel. I appreciated the cleanliness of the pool area. Also, the front desk offered pool towels at the front desk. Beds had plenty of pillows and extra blankets are also available at front desk. Staff was exceptional.

We enjoyed our stay in Ellijay, and found the Best Western very affordable. It was super clean, and the breakfast was great. We stayed two nights. I also enjoyed the indoor pool. There were not many folks around, so it was a rare moment of peace for me. The only problem was that our pets couldn't stay with us, not even if we paid an extra cleaning fee. They are house broken and well trained. So they had to sleep in the van, where they had plenty of water and room to spread out on comfy blankets (no seats in the back). It was not hot at night, but, they were scared. We ended up going out to visit and walk them twice a night. The clerk at the front was adamant that the hotel was pet free. She repeated it over and over. And, made us feel like she was almost accusing us of sneaking them in, when we didn't. That was the low point of the journey. Otherwise, it was great.

Most importantly for a hotel : It is very clean and comfortable. It smells fresh. Everything works in the room (outlets, tv). The shower pressure is phenomenal. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are like little clouds. In other words you'll get the best rest. The staff is extremely friendly (hello Ms. Kitty)! and the breakfast is scrumptious. As we left, we even got rewarded with grab and go bags with food and drinks for the kids. So if you are an experienced traveller, you'll remember this one for the quality of service and the exceptional comfort you got, which is - and all things being relative- not that common these days. Thank you.

Ok yes it's a Best Western.... Local owned and great mgt. I have never found an issue here. I have been doing business here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Also has a pool unlike most in town.

This was a nice, clean room with a beautiful view of the mountains! Everything was good. The only complaint I had was that I had tried to pay with cash at check in, but was told I could not pay until check out. Then they wanted a credit card to have

The Best Western Mountain View Inn was a real pleasure to spend two evenings at. The staff was extremely pleasant, the Inn had obviously had a face lift recently and was exceedingly clean, and the amenities were were just enough to make us comfortable. There is a large indoor pool with a very soothing hot tub, and the breakfast each morning was more than sufficient to get our day started. I would caution first-timers to not loose it when topping the hill and into the Inns parking lot. Because when you do that, you'll be looking at nothing by sky and and will have to bear left before you've caught your breath. Management should consider installing a couple of signs pointing toward the left. Other than that initial shock, our stay was fantastic.

My family of 4 stayed here for 1 night of our road trip. The view is awesome. The room was clean, updated, spacious. The bed was so comfortable (somewhat firm but not too much,so if you're into soft beds where you sink when you get in you may not like them as much as I did). Indoor pool was nice amd clean. Check in and out was quick and painless. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast was superb...hot breakfast including pancakes, eggs, biscuit, gravy, plus the usual cereal, muffins, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc. Plus they had almond milk! The driveway looks a little scary at first but honestly, don't let it indimidate you or deter you from staying here! It isn't bad at all! Well worth the 15 seconds of driveway for the quality of this budget friendly clean hotel!

It was raining the whole time we were there but where this Motel is located has a beautiful view!..The room was very clean! The whirlpool could use a cleaning. The staff were super nice. I would stay there again.

PROS: - friendly staff - mountain view - covered pool and hot tub with nice patio areas - clean rooms - mini fridge has a freezer CONS: - there is about a 180° turn to enter the parking lot, and it's very steep - NO elevator, and the stairway seems narrow - shower is tricky to figure out (There is a pull down diverter at the bottom of the faucet.) Overall, we would stay here again, but might not recommend it you have a lot of heavy luggage to transport, or if you have difficulty walking up stairs.

I ended up needing to stay an extra night in the area due to car trouble. John, the manager on duty, was extremely kind to me when I was in a bind. All of the staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, clean rooms, good wifi, fridge, microwave, indoor pool, everything I'd expect for a nice hotel stay. I would stay here again.

Beautiful area, and the hotel made the trip. All of the staff from the minute we walked in until we left were gracious and welcoming. They could not have been nicer. I have not seen that in most hotels but everyone, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc were so pleasant. Even the on-site pet cat was pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely come and stay here again and check out more of the area, maybe in the fall. The room had a great mountain view and the room was very comfortable with all the usual amenities. Great refrigerator with a freezer which was rare but appreciated since I carry a freezer pack to keep my medicine cold while traveling. Keep up the great job and say hello to Miss Kitty.

Haven't stayed here in years. Looks new! The view is great, the staff is very nice and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was the usual cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Same as most continental breakfasts. There is not much room to sit for breakfast, and really not much can be done about it. There were obviously a lot of people staying for the weekend. There is NO elevator, only a very slim turning stairway. If you don't have a lot of luggage, and you are physically able, the second floor is a great view! The ice and snack/coke machines are on first floor. I really enjoyed my stay. My 76 year old mother did have some problems with the stairs because we came and went a lot. If I had remembered, I would have asked for a first floor room. It was very quiet except for the dog across the hall barking. Beautiful sunset and sunrise and close to downtown.

Wonderful staff with help to find local points of interest and restaurants. Room was clean, no frills but a beautiful view. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Location of hotel was good for getting into town, close to many restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was limited but good.

Loved our stay at this Inn. The views are amazing. The Inn is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included and is what you would expect, pancakes, eggs, sausage and gravy. The staff was very helpful. Would stay here again if we are back in the area.

Wonderful..cute room...great breakfast....now for the suggestions...i had this kind of tub at my house...being a bigger woman i ended up cracking mine...i was so afraid of cracking the tub...it creaked and moaned and i prayed my weight would hold....so if u get a little weighted people in those tubs taking a shower it may not hold uo well. I wish i could have stayed longer...the view was spectacular. The breakfast was GREAT...the cat that jumped in my lap while i was smoking was so fun to love on....the hot tub was what i needed to work out the pains in my bad knee...the pool dip after the hot tub was refreshing...dont change a thing...since i was fore warned about the driveway from reviews from other guests i made sure my husband knew so we were careful...thank u for the stay.

Nice quiet hotel at top of steep climb but with great view. Only 3 plug-ins in entire room. Do you need lights or fridge or would you like to recharge your electronics?!? Hmmm. Decent selection of free breakfast items. Nice staff!

They are located above main highway on a mountain. The drive up was adventurous. Ask for a mountain view room upstairs (no elevator/ awesome view/ quiet). Full breakfast - loved pancake machine & toppings. We ate outside on the patio. Indoor was relaxing.... What a find! Must stay! Helpful staff! Clean rooms!

The location is atop a hill with a beautiful view of the mountains. You can watch the sunrise and then go explore the area. Close to all attractions. Steep driveway was a little intimidating but not so bad. The only downside is no microwave in room as I'm use to there being one. If you don't do stairs to well get first floor as there is no elevator. Very affordable for the time of year would highly recommend.

Nice, friendly staff, clean rooms and nice pool and hottub. Water in pool was not heated and the hot tub was too hot. Breakfast foods are not freshly cooked and never changes, it's the same thing every single day. Bed was too hard, had a rough time sleeping and my back hurt for 3 days afterwards once I came home.

We booked the Best Western in Ellijay at the last minute for a spontaneous getaway, We loved the hotel so much that we want to return again in the summer. Check-in was effortless and the staff are absolutley amazing, very helpfull with the area atractions and best places to eat and drink. facilities and amenities were all top notch. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Ellijay GA and the surrounding area. Wasn't expecting much for such a small town. This place was nice. Wierd wooden box bed. Trying to be rustic I suppose. But was super comfy. Soft and firm at the same time. The drive way is a bit scary. Uphill, narrow, blind curve at the end to let you know your about to drive off the side. Nice views.

Paid 171 for 2 nights for 2 people and it was the cheapest we have seen for accommodation around blue ridge area. It was very convenient to experience Ellijay and also Blue ridge as well. The breakfast were very simple which we liked. The view when you exit the hotel is amazing, the mountains and how high the hotel is top notch. In terms of what would work better with our stay would be better blankets. Luckily they have good AC so incase we get cold we can warm the place. So for people that like to feel 'protected' while sleeping, this might be an issue for you. We didn't mind it, we just increased the heat. Other than, good stay for how it's worth.

If I had a hammer, I'd have some repairs to work on....well, maybe a screwdriver, too. The hotel bathtub was redone! It was NICE and clean and great hot water flow...the hammer part comes in with the sofa bed that was for our 3 year old. We reserved on-line so they KNEW we would have a little one on that sofa bed. We had to use a cushion from the sofa bed to try to prop the whole thing level in order to sleep on it. TRASH from a previous guest was under the sofa. UGH a BIG turn off - the sofa practically fell over when it was pulled out into a bed. It was a piece of trash. (I did tell them on checkout and she was so surprised....?) The other part that needs fix-up was the heater. It was SO NOISY - lots of rattling and I thought at 3 in the morning how nice it would be to have a screwdriver and tighten up all the parts that were RATTLING and making a high ting sound like a bell. We put a pair of shoes on top of it and that helped quash some sound but it was inside the unit. Frustrating. The breakfast items and help were really NICE and the pancake machine was really neat! The indoor pool was clean and fun. The location was good. With pros and cons it was an average stay but if replacement of broken furniture in rooms and repairs aren't made soon, it will be a dump in 5 years time. Good folks, good breakfast, good indoor pool - sad other things.

When my wife and I arrived here, we were greatly impressed by the surrounding view of the hotel - all of the mountains in the background, and many nearby stores for essential shopping. Check-in was a breeze and the clerk was very friendly. The hotel itself was also very clean, warm, and welcoming. The room itself was a surprise - the bed was comfortable and massive, and the jetted tub was greatly enjoyed. They also offer free breakfast in the morning, and this location does in fact have the pancake maker (free pancakes)! They have a heated indoor pool and hot tub that stays open until 10pm, which were also very nice to use. We appeared to be the only guests taking advantage of the hot tub, which is great. My only concern is the noise issue. My wife and I tried taking a nap and could hear all surrounding rooms, including the one above us, use water. We were also able to hear footsteps above us. When it came time to sleep, our neighbors arrived at the hotel around 1am and we could hear every word they were saying - even though they were speaking normally. They were not loud people, but the walls are paper thin and we could practically hear them brush their teeth. We heard every word of their conversations until after 2am. We did not report the noise because they technically were not being loud or doing anything wrong - they just sounded like they were in the room with us because the walls are so thin. Aside from the noise, it was a very enjoyable experience!

This is one of the cleanest and prettiest Best Westerns we have ever stayed at. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The enclosed pool is clean. The area has tons of shopping, train rides, good restaurants and entertainment of all kinds for all ages.

Great experience. The staff went above and beyond to assist us when we had to make a last minute reservation due to inclimate weather. I called to check parking as we were pulling a cargo trailer. We were advised to use the second entrance and this worked great were us.

Great place,lots to do. There are many good places to eat. The view from the front of the hotel is fantastic. It over looks the valley below and the mountains in the distance. This place has the most comfortable beds of any hotel I have ever stayed in.

Nice quiet location. Staff was very friendly., full breakfast in the mornings. No pets allowed. Watch the driveway, steep and hard to see the curve, a bit scary going up and down. Beautiful when you get up there though. I think they should put s guardrail, just for safety up.

This was our stopover from Fort Lauderdale to Indianapolis. We wish we had more time to stay. We will certainly be looking forward to returning to this one and enjoy the view as well!!! Great room, great price, great service and great hospitality!

This is my second time staying here. Love it. The staff is awesome. Place is clean and minutes from lots of fun. There is a heated pool as well well that my kids enjoyed very much when it was cold in January. Price is awesome as well.

This is by far the best overnight stay in Ellijay. We frequent the area and have tried them all. The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is pleasant. The free breakfast, indoor pool, and the hot tub can't be beat.

Hotel was clean and room decor was nice. Hotel has a nice view of the mountains because it sits high on top of a hill. Indoor pool area could use a little refurbishment but was decent and usable. Breakfast was good, typical continental style. Overall, would definitely stay again and recommend to others for a weekend or overnight stay.

You feel warm driving up to the front and once inside every staff member makes you feel the same. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi works very well and is fast. Anything you need they will make sure you are satisfied. Best value in the area.

Excellent staff. I love the quiet time they have there. And they enforce it. Very clean and they have the most comfortable beds!!! Very reasonably priced. Excellent view overlooking the town and when the leaves change it is gorgeous. It is centered between jasper and blue ridge. Several good restaurants to eat near by.

Wife and I stayed 3 nights this past weekend while making a leaf tour of North Georgia. While the stay proved to be a great value for the money, there were several deficiencies which I feel obligated to point out to possible future visitors . Starting with our arrival, we had an unpleasant experience entering the driveway to the property. It is twisty and steep and as soon as we made the sharp right turn into the driveway we lost all sight of the roadway itself which had a sheer 30” drop off on one side and a guild rail that was too low to see on the other. We were driving a small two seat roadster but the front of the car was so elevated after making the turn that I could'nt see the road at all. For the remainder of our visit I used the service truck entrance at the rear of the property which, although gravel, was much more safe and viable than the main entrance. The hotel itself is fairly new and in good repair, with an indoor heated pool and a free breakfast which featured mechanized pancakes and the usual pre-fab breakfast fare. The rooms were decent sized but featured beds with a wooden base which we found uncomfortable. One thing that was immediately noticeable was the lack of an adequate number of electrical outlets for our electronics charging stations. There were four outlets near the bathroom sink but who wants to use them so close to a water source? Other hotels in which we've recently stayed had more modern table and floor lamps, each of which had at least one and usually more built in electrical outlets which are provided specifically for guests who use personal electronics (computers, smartphones, tablets) and other electronic rechargeable devlces. Seniors or anyone who has limited mobility might want to ask for a “handicapped” room as I found the bathroom to have a lower than usual toilet seat and I high-walled bathtub with no grab bars to aid in stepping in or out. All in all, I stand by my statement that this hotel is a great value, but for quality I stand behind my rating of three stars.

The front desk staff was very friendly.. The room was spotless and we had a good view of the mountains. Two negative comments: 1) It was very hard to find. No signage on the highway, no street sign. The hotel is located at the top of a very steep hill, and cannot be seen from the roadway. 2) The mattress was like sleeping on the ground, and I was not able to sleep. Despite these two negatives, I would still recommend this hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel in every aspect. Also, it offers guests an indoor pool and hot tub after a busy day of business, or just for fun and relaxation. The staff is exceptional, the hotel is clean and comfortable with great breakfast and fresh, hot coffee around the clock.

This was our favorite room during the trip I definitely recommend staying here. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Bad area set up outside for me to sit down and smoke with an actual ashtray which is very unusual this day and time

This hotel is high on the hill, away from the huddle and bustle.The hotel has a awesome exterior and rustic interior. Ask for a microwave, if needed and does not have an elevator to the second floor. We stayed for three nights and had more than usual luggage. It required a lot of trips to the car due to no luggage carts. I have stayed before on the first floor, I will request that again. The view is great from the second floor front room we had. The drive way to the hotel is super steep, be careful on the way in and during inclimate weather.

Clean hotel with an indoor heated pool area. Our room's walls were bare - no artwork. Furniture was comfortable, nice outside area for smokers. Excellent view of the mountains. Very scary driveway up to the parking area - guard rail is not there as you reach the top.

I have OCD. If u have OCD or need a clean hotel room in this area with the most personable happy laid back hoteliers, this is definitely the place for you. Rooms are functional. Clean. Furniture is locally made and beautiful. Had a Mountain feel. No issues during our 9 day stay. ....AND they have soy and almond milk at breakfast!!!! Very happy we landed here. We have never stayed at a Best Western before this stay. We r Marriott people. So that says a lot about the quality of the hotel and staff.

This hotel in Ellijay GA. Was very nice but we were concerned or shixkes that it has no elevators! Not for us but for more elderly persons. We had to help a 92 year old man up be stairs. Very concerning to us. Windows need to be able to open to enjoy the mountain air and needs to be a viewing/picture area. There just a log seat. But otherwise we enjoyed ourselves and may go back.

My family and I recently stayed at the Best Western Mountain View Inn during a trip to Ellijay GA for the annual Apple Festival. Our stay at the Best Western exceeded our expectations! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, the indoor pool was amazing and the complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day. We will most definitely stay at the Best Western Mountain View Inn again!

I would never stay anywhere else. We have stayed here for over 6 years and it never fails. They are so clean, friendly, and the breakfast is awesome. The whole hotel is friendly. They all make sure they speak to you and that you are taken care of.

Overall wonderful experience. Would come again. Helpful and friendly staff. Rauticil location. Breakfast more than adequate. Review process somewhat onerous. Suggest shortening if u want a better response rate.

Met at this hotel in order to attend Apple Festival in Ellijay. The hotel was very nice, and in a great location for us. We liked the indoor pool. The breakfast was good, though with limited selections. All in all, a very nice weekend getaway.

We stayed here one night on travel. The hotel looked brand new. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very caring and friendly staff, as we could tell they take pride in their jobs. Always greeted us when we left and came back and asking if we need anything. We would stay here again.

It's no wonder they call this property Mountain View. After a steep climb up the driveway, you reach the parking lot and find a wonderful view of the mountains across the valley. There's nothing remarkable about the building's vinyl siding exterior. Once inside, it's a different picture. Everything is clean, bright, and cheerful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast, both the menu and the seating, could use a makeover.

When I went online to book the room the price said $79.00 but when all was said and done it came to $150.00, FAR from being worth that price. Though the staff was courteous and the room was clean, I think they put us in an unfinished room. There were no pictures on the walls, there was no headboard. We had lunch leftovers in hopes of reheating and eating for dinner since we were not allowed to check in a bit earlier than 3:00 but there was no microwave in the room. There also was no microwave in the so-called continental breakfast area. There were only 3 tables in the "continental breakfast" area probably because the "continental breakfast" was a complete joke. We ended up getting up and leaving first thing in the morning. Extremely disappointed in what we got for the price.

The beautiful sunrise atop the hill was fabulous!!! The mountains of North georgia are beautiful and this hotel made them even more beautiful! WE have stayed at this hotel several times and they never disappoint, especially in the Fall with the beautiful changing colors!!

The room was very comfortable, the breakfast items offered were fresh & hot. I loved the location, high on the mountain,view is beautiful.. but the sign was hard to see, every time we go we always past it & have to turn back.

We arrived in Ellijay at 2:00 a.m. evacuating from Florida's Hurricane Irma. After hours on the road we finally arrived, I looked up hotels and found the Best Western. I was happy to find this hotel since we had stayed here in 2006 and were pleased. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and found us a room. The room was a good size, very comfortable beds which we needed after such a long day and it was very clean. Breakfast was good and the premises is very well kept. We really enjoy staying here.

The room was clean and the staff was very nice. The driveway is very steep and you will miss it if you are not careful, but it has a nice view looking at the mountains. I would recommend this hotel. The breakfast was good. They had a variety of different pastries and cereals.

The Best Western group should be very proud of this location. The staff, the location, the reception group were all great. The room was very clean and neat. Everything you need for restful, peaceful nights sleep at a price that makes it an outstanding value.

The room and hotel were very clean, the breakfast served each morning was very good. The individuals working behind the desk were very nice and courteous. I would remcommend to all of my friends and we sillll stay again the next time we are in town.

I said at the Best Western for two weeks while preparing for a Certified Welding Inspector certification. It was a tough to weeks, but the Best Western provided a comfortable room and a good atmosphere to study. The breakfast staff and front desk staff seemed genuinely interested in the class and how it was going. On check out day they all wished me well!

Someone else's hair in the "fresh" sheets was not the kind of surprise we like. Although the problem was remedied by changing the sheets (at 1 a.m)., this was not quite the experience we have learned to expect from BW. Were it not for the furry bed, the above "poor" rating would have been Very Good of Excellent.

I reserved my room on 7/11/17 for the second year and ask for 2nd floor with mountain view they told me no problem when I showed up on 9/02/17 they told me no 2nd floor available. 2 months in advance and was promised a top floor view of mountains and didn't happen. This is my last visit to this place. I know that I only come here once a year so it doesn't matter to y'all but I will vote with my feet. Gone from here.

Had a problem at arrival with check in, but the next morning, the problem was quickly resolved. Rooms were modern large and comfortable, the building was clean and designed for their guest, indoor pool,plenty of chairs for outside seating, breakfast food was tasty and plenty, the staff is what makes this wonderful place to stay for a night or longer. My family will definitely stay here again!!

Excellent service. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is up a very steep hill but nice views. Staff very friendly and willing to help with anything. Little disappointed with breakfast--It would have been nice to have a little more selection with hot eggs etc. I don't care for biscuits and gravy. Overall very good.

While planning our trip to North Carolina to view the solar eclipse, found this hotel had a room available for that evening. Arrived late to the hotel, well after dark. Had a tiny amount of trouble finding the hotel since we had no idea it was on the top of a hill. Once we got to the top, was amazed at the beautiful lights of the town below. Quite a lovely view. The hotel appears to be very new with all the modern amenities needed today. The room, beds, bedding, shower water pressure, amenities, like microwave and refrigerator, we're all very satisfactory. Very impressed. We were greeted promptly at the desk upon arrival with a smile. The hostess was very accommodating and even allowed us to have an extra hour to depart given our very late arrival. I would absolutely recommend to others!

The Mountain view inn is located on the top of a very steep hill and it would be nice if they had better signage to show where the hotel is located since it is not very visible from the road. The breakfast items are average and could use a little more of a selection (bagels). They do not have an elevator so it is advisable to pack light when traveling here. The view from the front parking lot is quite spectacular.

Being one of only a couple of hotels in Ellijay, I was concerned especially after reading a few reviews! One drawback would be the lack of an elevator, however the hotel is only two stories and the staff willingly offered to help carry luggage upstairs to our room. The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioner worked great. Breakfast was simple but ample. The location was convenient, but mostly the view! Wow! What a view! For other quick trips to the area when we are not going to rent a cabin we will most definitely stay here!

The server for the breakfast buffet was extremely nice. Everyone seemed to work together and all was courteous. I also recognized that every morning there was an employee policing the parking lot keeping it squared away. That goes along way in keeping a tight ship. Check in and out was friendly and easy. Nice pool area to relax. Great coffee. Convenient to all of Ellijay and not far from Blue Ridge.

Our family stayed at the Best Western in East Ellijay on August 20, in preparation for the Total Eclipse on Monday, August 21. The motel was conveniently located (just off Hwy 515) for our trip to Blairsville to see the eclipse. It sits on top of a mountain, and the view is spectacular! It is worth the effort to get up early to see the sunrise! The motel is attractive and very clean. The rooms are on the small side, but they were fine for our family. TV and internet worked great. The shower was really nice. We needed more towels, and they were brought to us promptly. Parking was a bit tight after the motel filled up. The breakfast was really nice. The grandkids loved the pancake machine. There was a really good variety of foods...something for everyone. The pool area was fine, but the kids were disappointed that they were not allowed in the hot tub, even with parental supervision. We will definitely stay here again...

This BW has been host to friends and family over the last 16 years. We have moved away from Ellijay and stayed here to take care of business in the area. Things I really liked: Beds were comfy Modern clean furnishings Senior discount Quick check in Salt Water Pool Full breakfast - Pancakes Biscuit Gravy Sausage patties Scrambled egg patties Milk Cereal Yogurt Boiled egg Grits Oatmeal Juice Fresh fruit Coffee - regular and decaf Danishes Motorcycle friendly The mini frig had a really loud whine -apparent to anyone entering the room. With a call to the desk it was changed out quickly. I subtracted one star for staff ignoring it when they had been in the room previously and having to call to have staff change out the frig. I will be happy to stay here anytime.

Best hotel in Ellijay area, great views from mountaintop location. Comfortable beds and free breakfast included for just over a hundred dollars. Staff is always friendly and helpful trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great location.

Loved this hotel, it was clean, the staff was very nice and helpful and they all spoke englich very well. This hotel has an indoor pool and hot tube with doors that open to an outdoor patio with views of the mountains.

The entire hotel was very inviting, clean and the hospitality was overwhelming. The front desk staff and cleaning personel went above and beyond to accommodate their guest, just a wonderful time and experience would highly recommend this to anyone.

Went to Georgia for father daughter trip. Clean rooms, great staff, pool was loud with buzzing , good breakfast for the price and location was perfect for whitewater or waterfalls, hiking. Staff was wonderful and entertaining.

First time at this Best Western and will come again on a return trip. It's an older property that has been very well maintained. The rooms were spotless and had the appearance of being recently painted. Bathroom is small and clean. Rooms had a one cup at a time coffee pot, but we bring our 4 cup as the one cups are gaining popularity. TV channels were more than adequate. The hotel sits on a knoll has has a great view of the valley to the north. As others have noted, it's a bit tricky to get to it from the main highway. Their driveway is really steep and is a very sharp right turn of the road. Great staff too. Didn't use the pool. Breakfast items are adequate and the dining room is small. Only three or four tables, which sit four people. All in all, our four night stay was very good and the price was right

We originally were going to stay at a spa up the road, discovered it was a bit to far so from our venue so changed to this location. Not disappointed at all!!! Mountain View is an understatement!! The staff is incredible, when I walked in the room each and every time, it was so clean and smelled like a 4 star hotel. Very impressed with this Mountain View Best Western! And I will add, there were several people that I over heard it was their 2nd, 3rd or more times staying there.

Best views in the valley. Steep hill coming up into the hotel, but there is a gravel road that comes up behind the hotel. Very helpful staff. This place gets full on the weekends, so book ahead of time!! They even posted available hotels in the area for those guests looking for last minute accommodations!!

Finally some competition is coming to town! I've stayed here numerous times over the years and dread it each time. The walls are paper-thin. The front desk is behind the times on checking people in and out. Took the headboards off the wall so there is only a frame, box springs and mattress. The blow dryer is a joke. Breakfast is horrible. I could go on and on. Basically the only good things about this place are the view and when I leave.

The motel was clean, the staff was very helpful for what ever you may need. As far as the room goes is was clean and ok as motels go but the staff made all the difference. Going above and beyond to help with what ever you needed even the pool temperature.

If you plan to visit in this area of North Georgia you won't find a prettier view! Clean, comfortable rooms and an accommodating staff made our stay lovely. The air conditioning was quiet and cooled the room really well. It appears the rooms were recently updated, which was nice. However although there was a new small refrigerator, there was not a microwave. Not a deal breaker but we frequently prepare a few meals or snacks in the room when we travel. Be prepared for an "interesting" driveway experience, Lol. Of course that's not unusual in the Ga. mountain area. We've stayed here before on a motorcycle trip so it's doable but be cautious! 10/10 would stay here again!

The room was clean, pretty cheaply decorated. Okay, bed and okay shower. Fairly quiet. Good staff. Pretty crummy continental breakfast with very limited seating. First morning we had to eat in our room, the 2nd morning we skipped in and when to iHop instead. Wifi was pretty slow.

Hotel and rooms were clean, breakfast was basic, staff were friendly enough. Were not able to get a early check in but that was ok. Was just visiting family, so all I really needed was a place to sleep.

0. Staff was great! Friendly! But the stay was BAD due to these reasons: 1. Breakfast area has about 10% of the seating it needs, long lines, lots of waiting for breakfast - and no where to sit 2 days in a row. 2. Room had hair in the tub, and a tobacco packet (used) on the floor by the nightstand. This was great to pry out of my toddler's hand; wife is already worried enough about germs, and then to find this... 3. The ironing board is USELESS b/c you are so worried about a $20 iron getting stolen that you bolted a mount to the MOST USED part of the board, and then cable locked it; c'mon - just ADD A CHARGE/FEE to the credit card if something gets stolen! don't make it unusable for honest guests! Inconvenience 99% of your customers for the ONE time that some thief wants to grab an iron to put on the black market?!? This seriously ticked me off while i was trying to quickly get on w/ my day and trying to clean up my clothes from being wrinkled in the suitcase. 4. No elevator? it was real fun lugging up 4 peoples worth of luggage up the stairs (staff was very nice in assisting, but really!?)

We booked this hotel online in advance of my husband's work trip. I showed up very late at night while it was raining and with my exhausted children in the car. I went to check in and asked for a crib in the room because we have two young children and an infant with us. Once I asked for the crib, the attendant started to ask questions about how many kids we had with us. I explained that we had two young children and a baby. She said she would NOT check me in and insisted I book another room since we were going to have over 4 guests in the room. I explained that we wouldnt even use the other room. Our children are too little to sleep in the bed by themselves as one may roll off so my husband planned to sleep with my 4yr old daughter, I planned to sleep with my 7 year old son and we would have my baby in a pack and play. She said that she absolutely would not check us in unless we paid for another room and then offered to cancel the reservation. We canceled and went to the Budget Inn. If you are travelling with more than 2 children BEWARE. You will be interrogated and possibly turned away as we were.

Service counter/check-in staff were wonderful! The rooms were very clean but a little noisy. The pool was decent sized for a hotel pool. However the chemicals were not correctly balanced. We had three swimmers in our group and all of them had to leave pool because of irritated eyes. The pancake make was out of mix and the sausage was not well liked by our group.

Staff was excellent and the room was fine. Everything we needed. Bed was just a little hard but it was ok. Very clean and neat. No unpleasant odors. A little noisy but not overbearing. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Elijay!

I see value in this property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only reason why I couldn't rate this higher is the room was extemely small and bare. I travel a great deal but the bathroom room was the smallest I have ever seen. My 14 year old son even mention that the bathroom was tiny. Recommendation to hotel, add some pictures to the rooms, to much bare space. I would consider staying in this hotel if ever in the area.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It needs updating. There was no hair dryer in the room, only 2 bath towels were in the room. It looked like some of the upholstery needed a good vacuuming. The breakfast needs more variety. Overall, the hotel is acceptable. The staff is very nice. Currently, there is no other option for hotel lodging in Ellijay. It is a 2-story building and there is no elevator. That isn't a problem for us but could be a real challenge for other travelers.

We have stayed here several times and have always been very pleased. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept up well. Will stay here again. The staff goes out of there way to make sure you are satisfied.

View is fabulous, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Very nice staff. Hotel isn't fancy but it's clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty basic, but there are a few fast food options nearby as an alternate.

I Stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The room was clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helpful.The breakfast was sausage and gray over briskets , very satisfying. I would stay here again if I was in this area.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. Very steep climb to the top of the mountain. Beautiful view but approach was very steep. Not elevator to bring luggage to second floor. Very basic continental breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel and would have given it a 5 stars but the internet was weak. We came to Ellijay to look for cabins and I could never get my iPad to work despite calls to the front desk. Luckily, my Iphone worked. There also is not elevator so if you get a room on the second floor you will need to carry your stuff up stairs. Other than those two things we enjoyed our visit, for the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great as they had biscuits and gravy and sausage along with an assortment of cereals, pancakes and yogurts. The view from our window was beautiful!

It was obvious this facility was very well maintained as it looked fairly new after being told that it was built 16 years ago. Great stay! Very friendly staff and very clean. My future stays in this area, will be here!

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to the needs of the guest. It's a smaller hotel so there is not the usual hustle and bustle of larger Hotels. The rooms are nicely updated and decorated. My only complaint is that the beds are exceptionally firm for my taste. However, the experience with the staff and Hotel more than makes up for the beds. The hotel was VERY clean. The breakfast choices are limited but very tasty. But I think what sets this Hotel apart is the Staff. They are all very personable and friendly and attentive. The indoor pool is nice but could use a little ventilation on warmer days (I'm sue it's fine on cooler days). The signage for the Hotel is a little lacking, however the GPS tool took us right to it. The steep driveway makes you feel like you are entering a secluded getaway and adds to the fantastic view the Hotel offers. The hotel is Non Smoking which I appreciated. Future guest be warned, this Hotel although updated and modern, does not have an elevator to the 2nd Floor. If you have a problem climbing stairs you need to request a ground floor room. Give this Hotel a chance, you will be glad you did.

This hotel is the closest one to my friend's house. We stay in the area 2-3 times a year. This hotel is my first choice because it is clean and there is an indoor pool. Beds are comfy and the staff is pleasant. Was not crazy about the breakfast this time... but probably just an off day. Best view is from the 2nd floor.

Great place to stay. Staff was very accommodating. Very convenient place to stay as we were there for a graduation. We did not eat breakfast there so we are unable to rate their breakfast. Did not have the things we usually eat for breakfast.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean, nice new carpet and linens. Furniture is a little dated and looks handmade, but I was informed its in the process of being updated. Excellent breakfast for hotel. The view is incredible! Ask to stay in 217, the view is to die for.

This hotel is nice for the area. I didn't expect much when booking as we were in town for a tournament, but it was a nice little spot with a beautiful mountain view. The pool was fun for my kiddos and the breakfast was complimentary. There was cereal, boiled eggs, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, muffins, and juice. The reason I rated his a 3/5 is because the sheets may have been clean, butt they had stains on them. And our shower had someone else's hair in it.

Nice look, feel, and smell to the hotel. Staff is great, but beds and breakfast options leave something to be desired. The saltwater pool is nice and so was the jacuzzi. They have a great follow up and even accommodated my need for early in and out due to my schedule.

Clean, accommodating, and professional. Quiet location, with nice views. Our king bed was a bit hard, but no bed is like home. The pool, and hot tub, were added bonuses. Overall, this was a great hotel stay. Great value for the price. We'll definitely stay again.

A nice clean quite hotel. Has a great view of the north Georgia mountains. Located near the highway but on top of a hill so it is really quite. Staff was very nice. The handicap room was a goos size and easy to get the wheel chair around. Looking forward to staying here again.

This is a gem looking out over the mountains of North Georgia. Excellent staff and customer service. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and swimming in the indoor pool. Breakfast was a nice assortment, but I enjoyed the biscuits and sausage gravy. That was a treat!

Stayed for three nights. The location is great for starting excursions into the mountains. The breakfast was well managed. The driveway up to the hotel was the most exciting part (very steep). The only curious thing to me was that there was no elevator. I had a cart with all our stuff loaded only to have to ferry things back and forth up the stairs.

My wife and I stayed overnight in a room with a jetted tub. The carpets look like new in the building. The indoor salt water pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and relaxing. The room was completely immaculate, and the hotel even has a certified bed bug free sign at the front desk. The breakfast was good with hard boiled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal with a topping selection of coconut, oreo crumbs, chocolate chips, cranberries, etc. An attendant was there at the breakfast bar the entire time, and the staff was very courteous. They even have the full spread of cable channels.We will be staying here again.

Excellent stay. Great front desk staff, large, clean, comfortable, quiet room with excellent air conditioner. My only complaint is that I stayed on the second floor and there is no elevator. To compound that problem the stairs are very narrow, only wide enough for one person going in one direction. If you are going up and someone else is coming down (or vice versa) someone has to retreat to the top of the stairs or the bottom of the stairs before the other person can proceed to their destination. The drive up to the hotel can be a bit disconcerting as it is very steep and at the top you arrive at a blind hill where you turn immediately to the left into the parking lot. If the weather was snowy or icy as it can be in the mountains on occasion I see no way you could even get anywhere near this hotel--the drive up is far too steep. The view from the parking lot at the top of the hill is magnificent.

I found it very easy to make reservations via the online service. We were met at the front desk by a very friendly and professional staff. Our Room and the hotel were extremely clean and recently renovated. The breakfast was great and the attendant was very caring and thoughtful to insure we had everything we needed.

Wow!!! What a beautiful Best Western!! The rooms were very comfortable the breakfast was fine and the view was great!!! The front desk was very nice and welcoming!!! We will definitely be back! Very close to numerous antique shops!

This Best Western is the best hotel in Ellijay. We have stayed hotels in the area and the beds are uncomfortable- enough that we packed up and left there to come here. i took one star away for the drive going into the hotel. It's a little tricky in any vehicle - 2 or 4 wheel... The manager strives to keep the hotel motorcycle-friendly, which my husband and I appreciate. Even with guests on motorcycles, the rooms are quiet.

the hotel was updated and as a result the beds were changed and made most uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this hotel is the only one available in the area so there is not alternative. We have stayed in this hotel for many years, and this is the first complaint we have had. All as a result of "new and improved"

The pool wasn't accessible for a person who is in a wheelchair The bed was so soft you sank which doesn't make it easy to get into. Breakfast fair was not up to par. The view was great but that was it.

This hotel sits on a mountain and has nice mountain views from second floor rooms, although there is no elevator, we didn't mind the stairs. The room was clean and comfortable with nice bedding and linens. The front desk clerk was friendly and got us settled in promptly. We did not eat breakfast there because there was no table available for us to sit down.

Whether pleasure or business, we would stay here again. The desk staff went out of their way to assist us. They were quick and detailed with their recommendations for restaurants and local attractions.

This hotel looks almost new. It is very well maintained and decor inside and out is very nice. There is a beautiful view of the mountains/hills out the front door. It is close to the highway, but because its location on the hill it is very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. It was a little pricey, but that may be do to the time of year for Fall colors. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The view is great. A little hard to find. At night it is hard to find it. Needs light at highway entrance and lights going up. Hotel was clean, clean. Breakfast could be updated somewhat. Pool was nice size. Was told this was the only hotel in town except older motels

Be prepared for no elevator if you are on the second floor. The staff was very nice and helpful. Clean, comfortable room. The view is absolutely gorgeous! Would definitely stay here again! (On the first floor!)

This hotel was super clean, had really comfy beds, and the staff was all very pleasant and friendly. Indoor pool about like anywhere, maybe a tad larger than some. No elevator in sight so ask for ground if stairs are a problem. Had a typical continental breakfast with yogurt, biscuits, sausage, fruit, and a cool pancake maker. Definitely recommend staying here when in the area.

Everything was in order, the staff were extremely helpful, from check-in to check-out. The Internet connection was erratic, and I finally gave up on it. The grounds around the building were in extremely good condition, and the view of atop the hill was beyond words! This was my second stay at this facility and it certainly will be my first choice, on my next visit to the region. With the leaf-color season just ahead, I would advise anyone to go ahead to reserve a room.

The hotel is on a hilltop and has a marvellous view across to the mountains. The rooms are very well kept and clean. Guests should be aware of two things, neither of which were brought to our attention by the reception staff on our arrival. Firstly the approach is extremely steep and there is a blind summit at the top as you turn into the parking lot which affects vehicles both ascending and descending. I mentioned this and was told that there had never been any accident, which I find surprising. This can be avoided by following the truck entrance rather than turning into the main drive. Secondly no attempt should be made to turn left towards Ellijay across the busy highway - I did it once and it was pretty scary as I ended up in the centre of the road waiting for a gap in the speeding traffic. I learnt later that this can be avoided by taking the backroads and the hotel has a hand drawn map which shows how to do this. It might be worth while providing a proper one maybe? There are very few hotels of any standing in the entire area and the hotel might benefit from a little competition I feel. For example no drinks are provided in reception and the breakfast is certainly the poorest that we have ever had in a Best Western and poorer than in many cheaper places. The only hot dish provided is biscuits sausage and gravy and this does not change from day to day. Other items are not readily replenished and only on request do a couple more slices of bread appear - allegedly to prevent them drying out! We had the impression that the hotel was trying to deliver the cheapest breakfast possible. The breakfast area itself is poorly designed and only 3 inside tables are provided so that at peak times people have nowhere to sit. Coffee was not the greatest either. Anyone reading my other reviews will find few complaints but I have made an exception here as I do not think that this hotel is up with the best of Best Western and with a few changes, it certainly could be. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant but I feel that the management is perhaps a little lacking.If the catering had been better, I would have given the hotel a higher rating. finally I am not at all sure whether the hotel has any night staff in reception and I assume not - otherwise they might on one night have prevented some noisy and inconsiderate guests from waking us up with their shouting at 3.30am

We have stayed at the Best Western Mountain View Inn, East Ellijay, Georgia one weekend during apple season for almost every year since it has been built. We have always found it to be clean, comfortable, a friendly helpful staff and reasonably priced. Loved the fall decorations. We always recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. Just watch the entrance driveway it is a steep curve.

This Best Western in Ellijay Ga had a perfect location on top of a lookout hill. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Our stay also included breakfast. I will be back to stay at this Best Western.

Clean, comfortable, and everything works! Great staff and amazing view. I love the clean remote and the bed is really comfortable. The location to other areas of interest and restaurants is great. Very nice downtown area and the staff is extremely helpful.

This was a very nice best Western that truly has a beautiful mountain view. The driveway up was very steep so proceed with caution. Most of the staff were very kind and courteous with the exception of the older woman who is in charge of restocking the breakfast items. There were about 3 families in the breakfast area at the time and we had to wait as she made herself some Pancakes and carry them to the back. Then it was out of batter so we had to wait again for her to come back to refill it. After about 20 minutes it was finally ready to go. We were in the breakfast area for approximately 45 minutes and she never restocked the sausage either so we just went ahead and left. By far the worst continental breakfast. However, the view, cleanliness of the rooms, and the rest of the entire staff were great! I particularly noticed the fresh clean scent of the hotel when I arrived. In my opinion the beds were a little on the hard side compared to what I like but I'm sure everyone has a different opinion on the firmness of their mattress.

Great stay! Room was spotless, bedding was great, pool was amazing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was so-so, but the view and the comfort made up for it. Sits high up on hill but was perfect in location for Ellijay and apple orchards.

This is a very nice, clean, cared for Best Western. I stayed there a few years ago and found it to be in as good condition now as it was previously. Cordial, efficient staff. OK breakfast, good wifi. Its also convenient to just about any place in Ellijay. When I return to Ellijay, I'll stay at Best Western.

Excellent accommodations, rooms were clean, roomy, comfortable, great staff, friendly, helpful, look forward to next stay there. Beautiful view, close to dining, shopping middle of town. The hotel itself was nice. The breakfast was nice and was open for a good period of time. It was nice to use the pool and hot tub. Only issue was with the older lady at the front desk. She was on the cranky side. She asked my kids not to touch the glass door. Her words verbatim "don't touch my windows on the door because I don't feel like cleaning them again". Nevertheless I would still recommend the hotel, just don't touch the Windows or you may get yelled at lol.

it was nice when a cute blonde member of the hotel offers to drive us to the local Walmart, knowing we dont have transportation after getting off the AT. We were in pretty rough shape and it was a very nice gesture. Luckily we still have some rations left and just madee due. We were to tired to gon anywhere and just ewanted to sleep.

The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. We had a room on the second floor with a Beautiful view. There is no elevator but luckily I had teenagers with me to do the heavy lifting. The breakfast had a nice assortment of items, hot and cold. The driveway is a trip especially coming from flat Central Florida but the view at the top is lovely. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The enclosed pool area is very hot but the pool was clean and cool.

my sister enjoyed the hot-tub. i have only 2 critisisms- they didnt make the beds- make sure to request that at check in- and they dont have enough breakfast tables. ask for military discount- saves you 40%

The driveway up to the hotel is very steep but once you get up there, you have wonderful views of the mountains. The hotel feels like a little oasis above the town, while still being very convenient to main roads, shopping etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities were very clean and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor facing the back and was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel has no elevator so second floor rooms are only accessible by stairs. The heated pool and spa is in a separate building connected to the hotel and was popular, although we didn't use it. The complimentary breakfast had everything that you might want: freshly made pancakes, cereal, boiled eggs, fruit salad, biscuits with gravy, yogurt, Danish, and bread. Breakfast was handled by a friendly lady named Lara, who was very attentive making sure nothing was running low and that everyone was satisfied. Her attitude and smile helped to start the day in a cheerful way! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain stay!.

We have stayed over and over again in this inn until we bought up in Ellijay. I would not stay at any other place. Great service, great beds, very clean, extremely nice breakfast, friendly, friendly staff. Pool is great and hot tub too. I just cannot say enough nice things about this place. They do a wonderful job.

Very well managed and maintained hotel overlooking Ellijay and the mountains. The staff was well organized -- even personally checking to see if our room was ready. Rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. Staff was able to make dinner recommendations. While we were leaving before the breakfast, we were able to get coffee before leaving on our fishing trip. Even at 5 am, the desk staff was pleasant and organized.

This is the best place in Ellijay to stay. Always happy at this Best Western. It is very, very clean, nice breakfast, beds are comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about this place.This is also very close to everything. Great shops downtown, close to Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Blairsville.

Would earn (many) more stars if Mgmt had more than one outside bench to soak up that mountain view...wowzers! As for the accommodations, clean, quiet, nice bed, attentive staff (except when taking a smoke outdoors-en mass.) Breakfast continental... w a small "c". Would I stay again? Sure

My wife and I stay here during our trip to Blue Ridge,GA. Had the best view that we have seen from our widow & parking lot, ever. Room was very clean and comfortable. Price was reasonable and a bit lower than other hotels in the area. We started each with a free breakfast and and they had coffee when came back at night.

They are not kidding when they say Mountain View. The hotel is on top of a high hill and the front rooms have a great view. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was above average. I would stay there again.

The hotel is adequate but not up to date with handy cap friendly rooms and only 2 handy cap parking spots Being a 100% disabled veteran I have problems walking and there were no hand rails in the shower to hold to. Wayne O. Cooksey

We had a change of plans while in Ellijay and ended up staying at this Best Western. It is an older hotel but it was very clean! The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was minimal but had all the bases covered; eggs, toast, oatmeal, yogurt and I believe there was a pancake machine. There is no elevator in this hotel if that is a concern of yours but it was not for us. It is only a 2 story hotel so not many stairs if you are upstairs. This Best Western also had an AMAZING view! I would not hesitate to stay here again!

We only got to stay one night but our stay was great from check in to check out. The staff was very nice, breakfast was good. We had checked a few other places in Ellijay and they were way too expensive. The rate here was good. We got a jacuzzi room as that was the only room available. An awesome tub right in the room. I'd stay here again!!

I have been to this Best Western before. It was conventient for my needs. It's a little older but very clean and the staff are very nice. Pool was clean, area kept clean. There is no elevator. For some that may be a problem. I am 63 and it was no problem for me to go up to the second floor.

The hotel was exactly was one would want. Staff was great, room was comfortable, breakfast was good and varied with a mix of fruit, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, hot food, and breads. This is an excellent place to stay.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in. The service from signing in until check out was exceptional. Our hotel room was perfect, though maybe would have like a microwave. As stated, the views from the rooms are wonderful, and I would recommend a stay at the Mountain View Inn at Ellijay, GA

Absolute gem of a hotel overlooking Ellijay with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The front desk service was great - checked the room before we were given keys and had pleasant check-out service at 5 am. Room was very comfortable, and well appointed (with microwave, refrigerator/freezer). Hotel was very quiet - which we appreciated.

There was no shelving in the bathroom or counter space for personal items. While we understand the room was a handicap access room, most special needs people do not travel alone. The shower was a mess, with the water constantly leaking onto the bathroom floor, which had no drain.

Room was clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely not hesitate to stay here in the future! The rooms were a bit noisy, but several families were traveling for a baseball tournament so I guess that's part of it. Staff was helpful when asked to intervene.

One night stay on vacation. Awesome staff, friendly and helpful. The rooms where clean. The breakfast was great. Needed to leave our trailer there while we did the tourist things. and they more than welcome us.

The manager of this hotel was very good, tried to be helpful, but we had not realized there was no elevator and that we woudl be on second floor. We had to drag our luggage up the stairs when we were already very tired from a loing trip. Also, the Mountain View was only visible when you were in front of the hotel or if you got lucky enough to get a front hotel room (which we weren't.0 The room was clean.

Enjoyed a pleasant stay - booked on trip advisor and discovered that we had been booked into a handicap room. Also, the rate given to us was more than booking through the motel itself. I managed to cancel the room with the assistance of the great desk workers. It took speaking to a supervisor and holding several times for a total of over 30 minutes. Finally the supervisor hung up on me - the motel received permission to cancel the reservation. The desk knew it was an anniversary celebration and surprised us with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a touching anniversary card. My suggestion, make your reservations directly! we have stayed at this location quite a lot, but this time it was so so. they were packed for the holiday weekend so maybe that was the issue. stayed 2 nights and missed breakfast both times as it is over at 10 (weekends included) we did manage to get extra coffee for the room though thank you housekeeping!

Everything from the staff to the room was nice. From the moment you enter the front lobby, you could tell the location was taken care of to a higher standard than others. The folks there take ownership in their product.

We stay here about once a year and the hotel is always clean and the staff courteous. This hotel has reasonable rates and is central to seeing sights in the area. They also cater to motorcycles. Great service and friendliness.

The location is exceptional. The hotel sits on the top of hill and the view is gorgeous. The beds and pillows are comfortable and everything was neat and clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Very uncooperative staff. Never make a reservation here. You don't know what you will get when you get here. Very disappointed. I use to enjoy this motel. Will never stay here again. No refrigerator in room for meds. Got handicap room by mistake, still no refrigerator to keep my meds. Would not move me, not full, would not do anything except enjoy my frustation. I hated my three days here. Never again.

Stayed at location on business. Room and staff were great. Needs an elevator for second floor. Everything was clean and neat. Conveniently located to Ellijay. Wonderful view on the mountains. Driveway was thrilling. Breakfast was adequate.

This is a hidden gem! Sitting on top of a mountain it is invisible to the road below. Once on top you can see for miles! Very large indoor pool with hot tub. Spacious rooms, flat screen TV's and modern bathrooms.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The grounds and rooms were clean and well kept and the view was amazing. All of the staff was professional and nice. I also thought the rate was very reasonable. I recommend this property if you are looking to stay in a clean and reasonable hotel.

Tried to stay a night after a 10 hour drive. Told me I can't have my dog stay in his crate in my vehicle. What kind of cook runs this place? Now I can't travel with my dog? He came all the way from Germany, I think he can spend a night in my suv. It's a beautiful cool night and we were both exhausted. Thanks for nothing.

Wonderful hotel way up on top of a mountain. The views were fantastic! Check in was quick and easy. The young lady that checked us in was friendly and polite. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was soft and comfy. I would highly recommend staying here. Shopping just down the highway a bit.

This is one of the most friendly/clean hotel I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay a wonderful experience. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Will be back for sure.

Got to the hotel and was told we couldn't have more then 4 in a room (my family, 2 adults and 3 kids) what would you have to do I you are a single parent?.... Do not recommend this place to anyone. Also, pool as of 03/26/2016 was like for nobody to get in, it had chlorine like they was trying to disinfect everybody who got to the pool

Only 3 jets in tub worked and i had requested when making reservations that the jets be checked out before we arrived, which obviously was not done. Breakfast area only has 3 tables for guest to use. people were standing every where waiting for a table to use for breakfast. Hotel is clean, beds are comfy, pillows suck, view was wonderful, very quite at night. Nothing to do in the area this time of year though.

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night on our road trip through the Georgia mountains. This is a basic, no frills Best Western. Pros: Rooms were very clean. Pretty location on the top of a steep hill with beautiful mountain views. Good selection at breakfast. Friendly Staff, Budget friendly, free wifi, indoor pool Cons: the worst lumpy pillows I have ever attempted to sleep on, the heating unit was either too hot or cold with no in between. We ended up choosing cold but the covers were super thin and we froze! Basically, we didn't get very good sleep! I would have been though set if I would have brought my own pillow and an extra blanket.

Clean room, reasonable price, helpful employees. Stayed two nights, quiet, all around good place. I felt safe here, the staff made sure the vehicles were safe. Could not have asked for a better, more helpful place to stay.

Stayed 2 nights here. The hotel is clean. Our room was nice and had a jacuzzi in it. This hotel is small and very charming. The floors squeaked, it reminded me of an old house. The view is really nice, even though the driveway is a little scary. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub. Families with kids will love the indoor pool. We love Ellijay and usually just go in the fall but we loved how quiet everything is during the "off season". We will definitely be back.

Rooms were clean, almost new. Everything was top notch especially the staff. Good location, great view, very comfortable and quiet. - no microwave in room - no movie channels or dvd player in room. Breakfast was average, everything else was 4 star. Better to stay here than risk a mediocre stay somewhere else, despite the 2 points I mentioned.

We we very happy with our stay. Room was very clean, beds were great. Staff is professional and nice. Extremely helpful. House keeping staff does a great job, we were here for several days. Will stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for one night to do some mtn biking at Bear Creek in Ellijay. The first thing that got our attention was we had a huge jacuzzi tub IN our bedroom separate from the bathroom shower tub. It was the oddest thing you could jump out of the tub and into your bed if you wanted. They also had a great hose out back that we used to wash our bikes with. The view from the parking lot is great. The breakfast is just standard. Overall, we would stay again.

Drove 8 hours with 3 under 6 for the lady to say that I couldn't stay in the room I booked because my two small kids couldn't sleep in the same bed as me. I had already prepaid for 2 nights and had to stay one because I had no where else to go. Luckily, they reimbursed me one night. Upon check in she read off a list of rules which made me so uncomfortable because now it was like we couldn't do anything without her coming after us. We travel a lot and I have NEVER experienced something like this hotel and all their "policies."

Even if it will be difficult to find it, No visible signs that indicates where is located (on top of a Hill difficult to see), is a good option for the price and quality. Rooms are clean and friendly staff.

Excellent customer service, great rooms, and beautiful view. Did not love the breakfast, but it was OK. I had book two nights but had to cancel the second night at the last minute, and they were very helpful and I had no penalties to pay. Room was very clean, and loved the view! I will return every time I have business in Elijay.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean. Also very homely atmosphere makes you feel at home. Im also a bike rider and they are bike friendly, they supply you with free full throttle magazines and towels.

We stayed one night at the Best Western in E Ellijay, GA during the Valentine's weekend. The room was very clean and spacious as was the bathroom. The staff was so welcoming especially the women at the Continental Breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

The motel is on top of a hill (mountain?) and has a very steep, scary entrance for flat-landers. Another surprise was that it has indoor rooms with no elevator. The room itself was very nice, with a relatively new refrigerator and hair dryer, but no microwave. We heard people talking, doors closing, toilets flushing, and showers in the rooms next to us. The place is pristine. We thought it was a new motel, but were told that it is 14 years old. Very well maintained. The staff was not overly friendly.

We stayed at the Best Western while spending time in Ellijay and enjoying a wonderful "wine-pairing" Valendines' Dinner at Engelheim Vineyards about seven miles away. The motel was excellent; very convenient, and an excellent value. I would definitely stay there again when in the area.

My wife and I stayed somewhere else the first night but it left a lot to be desired so the second night we went to Mountain View Inn and were very pleased. The only negative was the pancakes from the automatic pancake machine weren't good and to me a waffle plate would have been better. Definitely plan to return if in Ellijay area again.

Clean Room great staff simple breakfast but filling. Good coffee. The view of the mountains breath taking. I will be staying here again in the future. Biscuits and gray yogurt pancakes and cereals in the morning. apples, juices nice indoor pool and hot tub.

Beautiful view! The beds were comfortable. The heat worked very well which was nice since it was rather cool the weekend we were there. The shower pressure was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel. The location was ideal because it was close to restaurants, grocery stores, and the venue for our event. We would love to visit this hotel in the future.

Had a great time at this hotel. It is VERY clean and modernly furnished. Only thing is that the front desk lady who worked mid afternoons was very judgemental. She assumed that because of our age, we would get into mischief or have a party. She placed us in the first room closest to the front desk. We constantly heard people walking around and checking in and out. Very noisy spot to be in. We were very close to breakfast though which was great. We did spot one roach in this hotel. That surprised me, but the other hotels are usually infested with them. This is by far the cleanest hotel in Ellijay. Great mountain view, but the hill you have to go up to get to the hotel can be scary. Other employees were all super friendly and nice. Wide variety of breakfast items to choose from including biscuits and gravy. We loved the spotless bathroom and the perfectly white sheets and pillows. Limited parking spots. Vending machine only takes dollars. The beds are a little hard but I love the solid wooden bed frames. Toilet seat was awkwardly uncomfortable and hard. We loved the little makeup remover wipe that was by the sink. Nestled on a mountain, but really close to town!!! Order Pizza King during your stay!! Would definitely stay here again. Only issue we had was the beds are hard (but what hotel has comfy beds?) and the continental breakfast was already out of items at 8:30. We loved the salt water pool and the room was nice. We requested a crib and they gave us a pack and play for the room, which worked for us. There wasn't sheets provided for it but we had brought our own blankets to cover it so that wasn't a big deal for us. Overall great stay. Wish the beds for more comfortable but loved the pillows! Nice staff as well.

We stayed at this hotel when visiting with the family over the Christmas holiday. The first thing I noticed about this hotel was it did not have a fitness room. I like to keep in shape while traveling and not have even the basics of a workout room was a big deal to me. The beds were hard and uncomfortable but had fresh sheets. The breakfast was so limited it could barely be called a breakfast and the eating area consisted of only 3 small tables which meant many of the guests had to eat standing up or brave the cold/rainy weather outside. The pool area was moldy and not kept up very well. The views were nice but overall I was disappointed with this place, they could have done so much more. I understand that the options are limited around there but next time I will likely see what else is available.

Nice Clean polite hotel with decent rates, nice pool and hot tub, centrally located in Ga mountians. We compared rates at surrounding hotels and found this to be the best rate for comfort, cleanliness and convience. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from Blue Ridge where the senic train trips leave from. Dinning is close. It was a great hub for us to opperate out of, but we only spent time there at night to sleep and relax in hot tub.

This was a VERY nice Best Western. The location was great, the rooms were great, the employees were great! It's close to everything. The beds were a little hard for my taste but I think most people would find them perfect. The room was clean and very nice.

We arrived early and were able to check in, shortly before the check in time of 3pm. This hotel does not have an elevator just stairs, so may be a problem if you have mobility issues. The room had a great view as does the parking lot, so positioning is excellent, especially when trying to find the hotel late at night. Staff was excellent from housekeeping to the greeting at arrival and departure at the Front Desk. Breakfast was a variety of different choices and the room itself was comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area due to the friendly staff and the value for money.

This hotel was nice and clean. The view from the parking area was great for photos. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again if in the area. It is in close proximity to restaurants and other local establishments. The area is beautiful!

This is a great place for an excellent stopover in the N. Georgia Mountains. Located ear Ellijay GA. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The local mountains provide beautiful scenery and there are plenty of things to see and do. Especially if you like the outdoors are it is during apple harvest time. There are multiple Excellent restaurants located nearby, both chain and local.

The staff were mostly very courteous. The rooms were clean and the bed was firm. Hard to find hotel, however, due to small signage and location. The continental breakfast could be improved upon. The staff was very helpful in giving directions to local places and nearby towns.

I had one of the most pleasurable stays at this hotel. When I made my trip for business purposes, I had not intentions of staying in a hotel period. Just planned to make the trip, take care of business, and head home. It didn't turn out that way! Due to unexpected circumstances, I had to book a hotel over the phone for that night. Had the choice between two hotels in the area. I called them both. And of course, I picked the cheaper one to stay at, Budgetel. But when I arrived and saw the makeup of this hotel, I know it wasn't for me. So got back in my car and drove the distance to the second hotel (which was Best Western). This hotel might have cost a bit more, but it was a more desirable one, for me. So it just goes to show: Cheap ain't always best!

they shouldn't have sticking out sharp edges of the beds. we have 11 month old that we had to pay extra attention all the time that she won't run into it. and there were no lotion in the room that i would expect from franchise like best western

On thanksgiving I stopped at Ellijay Best Western Mountain View Hotel to check if they had a room available. I was met by the General manager Ms Brenda. She was very welcoming and let me know that they had several rooms and options available. She really went out of her way to get me a room, tell me about her hotel, and make me feel at home. When I told her I was visiting because I was interested in mountain biking she gave me the contact info for a local biking expert and gave me a map with detailed directions to key biking locations in Ellijay. Later I learned that she was running the front desk that evening just so her employees could spend Thanksgiving evening with their families. My room was excellent, the view was great, and this hotel is where I plan to stay when I'm in Ellijay.
