Plaza Hotel, Chorley, Sure Collection by Best Western

A very good hotel in Chorley, chosen for one night as we were passing through and meeting a local friend for dinner. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and very friendly. The room was spacious and spotless, as was the bathroom. Although the latter was a little dated, it didn't impact the stay. The room had plenty of amenities such as toiletries, hairdryer, and tea/coffee, which was unexpected for the price we paid. It also has plenty of parking, a Green King pub just next door, and is a 15-20 min walk to the local eateries. I'd definitely recommend it, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in the area.

Checked in yesterday to attend a family christening. We saw the room, asked if there was an alternative, as 1st room was beyond filthy. 2nd room smelt so bad and was also filthy, so we left to find alternative accomodation. We knew it was an old premier and wouldn't have minded it being run down, but it was absolutely filthy! The smell alerts you at first, then you see the moldy windows, bathroom, stains on the bed and what we suspect was vomit on the carpet!

Always stay here when visiting family,staff all friendly, just could do with abit of a Refurb in places,but I think they are doing that gradually,would always stay here when visiting though.

Decided to stay the night after going to a Wedding reception at night at the Golf Club. Under certain circumstances, it was only me staying as booked for 2. The Hotel looks ok outside, it was a massive hotel, reception wasn't really big. Stayed in Room 1, it was ok, it was cleaned, everything looked fine, only thing missing was the TV remote, but the reception lad, sorted eith no problem. The hot breakfast was only either a Sausage butty or a Bacon, it wasn't impressive to be honest, did have some cereal, a very small croissant, glass of apple juice. Had no knife to put the jam on the croissant. When the Sausage butty came, it was ok. The whole breaky filled me for the journey home. If I had to stay, if im going to an special occasion, I would probably stay again. Their is the pub by the Hotel, so its not too bad, great for parking as plenty of space.

Lovely clean rooms staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Beds are very comfy with different pillow types. Lots of hot water for a very powerful shower. Pub across the car park for lovely food and drinks. Bus stop right outside 8 mins to Chorley town centre. Mini mart 5mins walk away.

The staff were lovely but the rooms were dated, smelly and dirty. Also, my personal details were leaked in a GDPR breech! Avoid!

So uh, where to start, I honestly didn't expect much being a low budget hotel, but it was listed 4 stars, honestly not sure how! Upon arrival man at reception was rude, not even dressed in smart casual or uniform, walked past the “continental “ breakfast consisting of 3 jars or mystery cereals, a fridge of 3 jugs of mystery liquid I'm guessing were orange, apple and milk, 7 quid for a breakfast sandwich….. Cheaper to go to the yarrow bridge inn for breakfast which is odd to me room itself was bad, where to start, “queen sized” bed was literally 2 singles pushed together, piss poor lighting and a box of tissues placed on a night stand where there was a chair overlooking the beds, it gave off adult movie setting vibes which was instantly uncomfortable, the bathroom was emanating a horrible stale water smell so we kept the door shut at all times, shower rack was held up by duct tape and filler Mould on bath and tiles, mirror in severe disrepair, even the hotel room overlooked a wonderful view of dumpster bins and the pub garden…. I would tell everyone to avoid this place, it is not worth the cheap price unless you're looking to make adult movies! Oh and here's the other things that were quite bad, you had to sign up to gold membership to receive a free bottle of WARM water. Just to note one last thing, I honestly cannot fault how clean the actual room was, so credit to Julie

Welcomed by a very scruffy and grumpy guy when checking in, he asked me for an additional £10 to access my room one hour early. The hotel is drab, very tired and untidy. Remnants of it once being a Premier Inn remain, including bedrooms that have not been updated for decades. Thin duvet in a cold room (there is a heating control that appears to control nothing - instead a small electric heater on the wall), which overlooked the carpark which had several abandoned cars, each covered in moss!!

We booked to stay here for 1 night only as we were catching a flight from Manchester early the next day. Upon booking we used the tesco clubcard vouchers and the full cost was covered by these. The company asked for my card details for a 'dummy paymemt' which i though was odd but but booked up on 26th December 2025. When i received my bank statement I noticed that this hotel had taken money for a subscription of some sorts and was on a repeat payment. I made contact with my bank first but they advised to contact the hotel. I have spoken directly with the manager of the hotel over the course of 2 weeks. Getting fobbed off left, right and centre even after the payment was looked into and it was agreed by the manager that the payment shouldn't have been taken. She advised a refund would be given within 48hrs however I am still waiting. Requested call backs/the manager was supposed to call me back on several occasions but never returned any calls. Latest call was with the hotel reception who simply gave me a number to call to sort it out myself however the number is actually for bookings which just cuts off! I certainly wont be booking with this company or hotel and will not recommend to anyone. The employees dont really know what's going on and the manager seems quite incapable to even make a simple call she said she was going to make! More training needed! If you are booking with these, have a rethink and whatever you do, dont leave your card details with them. From my last call with the manager, she advised that 'all refunds will be done together', like excuse me, I totally picked up on the fact of what you said and its clear this happens quite often!! From the 30th December I am still waiting my refund and am not holding out much hope. The company is a disgrace, avoid at all costs!

We stayed at the Plaze over the Christmas break. We had stayed here a few years ago and was disappointed but as it was extremely good value for money we decided to try again ...They have done some work on the reception which is now very nice. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and the man I spoke to on the phone was also very pleasant....Room was clean and bed massive and comfy...it's basic. But would recommend for good value for money and convenience to Adlington and Chorley

One night stay while visiting family. Room was comfortable and cleaned to a good standard, fresh bed linen, plenty of hot water, tea/coffee making facilities, everything you need for a pleasant stay. It was quiet at night with no disturbance from the road or nearby pub or other guests. Breakfast was really good, served by a friendly, polite member of staff, varied selection of continental goods and a freshly cooked bacon roll. Would recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights 21st -23rd. Solo traveller visiting family. Room was very clean and lovely and warm, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy, lots of coffee/ tea ect. readily available. Nice and quiet with a separate pub within the grounds. Would recommend.

Stayed at Crown Plaza Chorley for three nights, well located next to pub on main road, the room was well equipped with what we needed, very clean big room (8), Had breakfast each morning, bacon or sausage muffin with cereals coffee or tea, a selection of other items available. Friendly staff on reception who were very helpful. Car parking is good, plenty of spaces available. The room rates are reasonable and comparable to other hotels. Would stay again.

Only stayed for a night as a pit stop. We were able to get an ensuite from very cheaply for the 2 of us, which included a continental breakfast with bacon roll. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was ample. Free parking and pub onsite. Would only say it was looking a bit tired in places, hence the 4 stars. Would return, and would recommend.

Rooms are lovely and very spacious. Showers could do with an upgrade an maybe at least one plug socket by the bed would be useful in this day in age. Staff are very friendly and very welcoming

We stayed at the hotel one night as we were at a wedding at the Golf Club nearby. Room was very clean, but dated. The first thing I saw was a stained char which wasn't pleasant. Photo attached. Bed clean and very comfortable. We did not have breakfast. Reception staff were polite. Hotel would do better if fully refurbished due to closeness of Golf Club etc.

We stayed at the Plaza Hotel last saturday (19th July) and we were delighted. Our room (number 14) was downstairs facing the rear car park and it was very quite, clean and comfortable. Every member of staff we came into contact with was very friendly, helpful and professional. We have already booked another stay for next week.

Very pleasant staff, both bedroom and bathroom were clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and the bacon rolls, (I'm from down south) were very tasty.

I have stayed at Chorley Sure hotel in Chorley. Each year I stay there for six months at a time. I have found the rooms very comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would not stay anywhere else. I do intend to stay there again this coming Christmas for another six months. I have looked at other hotels, however, they don't match up to the Chorley Sure Hotel, therefore I highly recommend this Hotel. Denis Smith

Great staff as always, the best asset for this hotel is staff. Always helpful always smiling and never too much trouble for them at all
