Service was very friendly, room was clean and had updated decor, bed was very comfortable, lots of good TV choices to relax to after a very long day of driving, and breakfast was okay. Based on the location, there was quite a bit of traffic noise, but with the air conditioner on, it didn't disturb our sleep. Definitely would stay here again.
The staff was not the friendliest. Our room was clean and had a descent amount of space. The towels were on the small side and scratchy. The pillows were not very comfortable. The elevator seemed like it old and slow. They had descent parking. Breakfast was ok.
We have stayed at this property on several occasions. It has been rehabbed since our last visit and they did an exceptional job! The only thing that wasn't updated or replaced was the bathroom door in our unit. The paint had multiple layers that were peeling. The lighted mirrors, LVP flooring and wall paint all appeared new. It was a pleasant surprise! The only downside to this is location and proximity to traffic. Road noise is quite loud. If you are a light sleeper, it could be a problem.
I actually called the hotel and made reservations- the process was easy. Speaking with a person was a nice experience. The hotel is located in a convenient location with several eateries around. The front staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice selection of items for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Found 2 cockroaches while staying here. Told the front desk and they said sorry they'll tell housekeeping to do a better job.
Thankfully this was just a quick overnight stop with a late arrival and early departure. Horrible smell outside the hotel, guests screaming, slamming doors. In need of repairs, the door to our room would only close if you slammed it, and the bathroom vent fan was hanging from the ceiling.
Good place to stay one or more nights if needing to be in Cartersville or Emerson (Lake Point Sports complex) area. Rooms are clean and staff goes the extra mile to meet reasonable requests. It is a decent value for price.
The staff is awesome! And breakfast is a wonderful experience! Coffee, juice, bagels, muffins, yogurt, lots of other items, but the best is hot waffles!
Not the best. Not the worst. Friendly check in. Everything worked in the room. The room had a little bit of an odor, but terrible. Breakfast was breakfast.
We were very pleased with the cleanliness and breakfast and price point at this location and the fact that it was less than 10 minutes from our conference location. We choose a room with a king and sofa because it seemed to be a side facing room from the pictures (and we were right) which was not facing a road or highway like the front or back rooms. As both roads are busy and close, it could be noisy but as we sleep with a noise machine it was not a problem for us but something to note if that is an issue for you. Breakfast was good and area was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. My only note was that after the 3rd morning, it would have been nice to have a little variety like bacon instead of sausage and a request to stock butter as well as margarine. The room was very clean with exception of around the refrigerator and inside of it where there were items left by previous occupant that had not been cleaned out. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay again! Pakin in the mornings was so helpful and friendly and offering to help.
We arrived late, no reservation, got a perfect ground floor unit. Gentleman on the front desk was outstanding Facility newer, nice rooms and comfie beds with nice bed linens
We were traveling to Cartersville for a wedding and this was the hotel that was booked for most of the guests. This is really more of a quasi motel than a hotel. The elevator is in a breezeway between the front and rear of the place and there is only one luggage cart. At night, the breezeway is well lit, but it can be dark during the day (especially sunny days). The rooms were good sized and pretty clean (nothing to really complain about) The bathrooms are not that big and the sink is out in the foyer. I am not a fan of these kinds of setups because they don't offer a lot of privacy. The beds were comfortable, but I found the pillows to be a little small. The towels were okay, but I found them to be a little thin and lightweight, not as comfortable as other hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast was standard fare, but not a lot of variety. The staff was friendly and courteous. For a two night stay it was okay, but I can't say I would go out of my way to stay here again if I was in the area.
the first morning i had a waffle sausage and egg the sausage was the best thing every thing else tasted off, the next day not wanting a nasty tasting breakfast i decide to be simple with oatmeal and a muffin big mistake within 30 mins i have puke up breakfast after cleaning up i felt fine though. i generally sleep like a rock but there is something wrong with the plumbing the pipes rattled and woke me up multiple times a night i left company paid for hotel room and got my own somewhere else and i think i made a great choice.
Our family was just passing through Altoona during a family vacation and needed a place to crash for the night. Booked the two queen suite online earlier in the day and got an amazing rate. Arrived at 2:30 AM and was immediately greeted by an attendant. Check in was quick and easy. A great night sleep then back on road.
Very rude manager/staff, refuses to return the $100 security deposit even though the room was in the same condition as we got it. Bath tub didn't drain, toilet didn't flush well, no designated smoking area for smoking guests
I recommend to all considering this hotel, STAY HERE! Rooms are clean and very comfortable bed. Pillows not so much, thickness of Belgian Waffle. Luckly there are six (with another pillow in closet) and enough to make a pillow fort! After dismantling the fort, I had enough to arrange to be comfortable. Room is well maintained with new furniture, paint, and very important a CLEAN well-maintained bathroom. The Housekeeping staff should be rewarded and appreciated. The whole property is well maintained with a very welcoming vibe about. My BiL recently turned me on to Best Western and the past few stays have always been great. This property sets the standard for BW.
I am mediately had a bad feeling when we arrived in there was only a tiny window to talk to the gal as lobby doors are locked but as it was late, we made the decision to stay based on a decent rating an reviews. Worst decision ever.! All my clothes and belongings were covered in pet hair! This is a very old rundown hotel, and I have no idea how they acquired the rating that they have. Do NOT stay here!
Clean, inviting room. Loved the bed. Slept like a baby. Would stay again. The amenities were good. The breakfast was a typical motel breakfast. But, when free you cannot complain. It had been a long day on the road and couldn't have asked for anything better.
Rooms were very clean....Staff were extremely helpful and the value for what we paid was excellent. I also loved the location for easy access to the Interstate. We will definitely be back in the future.
I gave this three as a rating but just barely. The cost of this hotel is not expensive if you look for a deal. I knew I was arriving late at night when I booked and slept and left. If you want a no frills hotel, with no gym close to the highway then you might consider this place. The negative - checking in was not smooth. I was not allowed in the lobby. The desk clerk took my driver's license and credit card and then left for several minutes. Apparently there was someone training, but I can't imagine learning to check someone in is a difficult process. The clerk seemed to be unaware of the guest behind us also trying to check in. We wanted two key cards but opted for one to let the guy behind not wait any longer. The room was a prefabricated box. You can hear cars from the highway from the room. It did include breakfast and the coffee was surprisingly better than many hotels. Beyond this it was the standard high carb breakfast with round egg concoctions. If you want to flop for the night and save a few dollars it is acceptable, but anything beyond this I would urge someone to consider other options.
I walked in to the lobby and was warmly greeted . Check in was a breeze and I was in my comfortable room . Newly updated bath area with nice tile and very clean. Sheets were crisply laundered and felt good.
This motel has always been our choice in the area. The staff is courteous, rooms clean and you will always get a good night's rest. We never get the free breakfast but have seen it and seems to be impressive enough. It is also close to shopping and food.
I did not notice until the morning of my stay that the room did not have a shower curtain and I wanted to get on the road early. The HDMI cable was dis connected from the TV which was mounted to the wall so securely I could not reach behind to reconnect the cable. Motel is close to interstate and rooms are noisy. No attention to details.
Overall, not worth the price. The breakfast is the same everyday, I mean seriously after over a week the extra money for the included breakfast goes out the window when you the same sausage patty and egg patty everyday. The rooms aren't that clean, I scrubbed the sink counter because I didn't want anything to stick to it. And the staff is worthless at best, as usual these days not a single staff member is willing to step up and even offer the smallest of apologies when they screw up.
Thank you. We had a Great Stay. There were plenty of food options around this hotel outdoor hotel, but it was a spotless and safe place. They have EV car charging stations for Tesla and other EV Cars. Thank you
Needed an over night stay while traveling & did not want to pay a-lot stopping at 10pm on a Monday night. Pleasantly surprised! Best Western is very clean and updated rooms! Staff is kind & polite. Breakfast area is clean esthetically pleasing, well organized. & many breakfast items to choose from for all ages! Would stay here again!
This motel is very nice and the beds are very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We stayed in a mini suite but it was just as nice as a regular suite. The price could be lowered a little.
Time with family trip. Room great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location eas convenient to stores, gas stations, attractions, restaurants and fast food. Breakfast was good. Very quiet Location. Would recommend staying here.
I stay here 4 times a year. It is always a pleasure as they constantly make improvements. This last visit we were greeted by three FREE charging hookups for electric cars. The are always on top of it.
No fitness center, although lead internet pages advertise having one. It seemed difficult for most of the staff to be friendly. Amenities card in room advertised things that were not available, fitness center and coffee in the lobby. Though pool was filled and hot weather, very dirty.
The room was clean and it was very quite, the ac was perfect and my daughter has alot of run room in the suites. Comfortable beds and no nosey staff. There when you need them but not over whelming would stay again
Always a pleasure to stay here - mid-way on our trips to Florida from Ohio. Good location - nearby restaurant selections are good & breakfast is great. Service is terrific & friendly. Always good to stop here.
Great facility very clean and well maintained. Located close to the interstate but also to the convention center and downtown Cartersville. Would consider staying the again. The staff was very helpful and friendly
The fact that this old hotel is rated 4th best by travelers is indicative that ratings are not always reality. This is an old looking facility away from the central area of town. The room smelled musky. There was only one electrical outlet by each side of bed. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The ac worked great and was quiet. It was overpriced considering that it's an old class 2 motel. The pictures online make the hotel look alot younger than reality.
I stay at this property 8 times a year. Always favorable. If there is a problem, it is taken care of now. I might add, in the 5 years we have spent there, only a few problems. They recently redecorated the property and it looks great.
Nice location and rooms are really nice. The staff was very nice and friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a nice place to rest and to relax. And the price that you pay for the room is well worth it.
I would not stay at the location again. The reception upon check in was “cool.” when I went to choose a beverage from the display, I was asked what I was doing there. The steel entrance door did not appear secure or tight to the frame. The microwave was unplugged and hard to get at to plug it in. The soap dispenser kept falling off the wall and the buttons on the microwave were greasy. There was no freezer area in the fridge. The alarm clock was not working. The room was clean a dthe breakfast was okay. I would not stay at this location again. It was very noisy from traffic passing through the area.
Overall this motel is overpriced and will not be staying at this location again It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants for dinner it is right beside motel 6 and outside entrance but no chairs outside to sit. Other than that I don't have any more comment on this place.
I was in town for my Moms funeral. Family members stopped by to discuss details and as soon as they walk into my room I get a call asking how long these people will be here . I explained the situation and added I've paid for the room and they can visit as long as they are not spending the night as specified in the policy. I will never stay here again
I had high hopes for a Best Western, since I love staying at them. But the outside appearance was more run-down than expected. I had to climb 2 flights of stairs outside, and they weren't very clean. The door wouldn't stay shut unless I slammed it. Inside room was clean, bed was clean, it smelled fine. Tub was dangerously slippery, and I slipped and fell on my back while showering.
There was some noise from the I-75 and from the floors above me. I could hear doors slamming and lots of heavy walking. I suggest getting a 3rd floor (top floor) room. Room, linens, and towels were all clean. It was OK for a one night stay.
Very basic but clean accommodations. Late evening checkin was through a secure window in the entryway. Elevator is in outdoor hallway. Room and restroom were very clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. Morning breakfast had an OK selection of items for me at 8a, but was out of several items by the time I was done eating. Recommend this hotel if you're looking for clean accommodations at a very reasonable price
Fantastic people and fantastic place to stay! The Petal's are great along with their staff. Linens are always fresh and clean. This place is my home away from home. Im use to a very clean because my wife is OCD clean! This place helps me not to be so home sick when I am away from home.
Hospital travel contract. Hotel was clean. Heat was broken but staff looked into it the next day. Shower is very slippery bring shower shoes. Pillows semi fluffy. They do not offer medical discounts..
Arrival is a bit trick - you have to drive through a gas station to reach the parking lot. Room had odor of tobacco smoke and floor was sticky. Required assistance of night clerk to get the TV working. Bed creaked. You could get a better bag breakfast at 7-Eleven. Owner seemed unconcerned about our complaints. This place is being operated on the cheap and it shows!
Over all the hotel was very nice especially for the price. It's been recently renovated, very clean rooms, regular housekeeping. We stayed in a very spacious suite (2 adult 1 child) for 8 nights while we wait on our new home to be move in ready. The house keeping staff is super nice & helpful. The lobby is sealed off due to Covid so just inside front door is an anterior area where you check in & complimentary coffee etc. Breakfast is a “Grab'n Go” but they don't explain this (so make sure you ask them b/c the brown bag breakfast is inside the closed off lobby!) it can be confusing as next to the coffee in box cereal, fruit, oatmeal, open pitchers of milk & orange juice, etc. The front desk staff… keep this from being a 5. We had an issue in less than 24hrs b/c a front desk staffer who's tone is flat out hostile, accusatory. There was a situation and once confronted, she immediately started yelling & the started to call our room (the phone rang excessively until I had to eventually picked up & let her know that if she woke up my 4yr old I was going to flip out on her, then hung up.) at 6am to try & continue the confrontation. I understand there's a shortage of employees everywhere so I guess they are just taking anyone who shows up. We like the hotel (is really great room!) but that incident has caused us to finish out our wait at the Fairfield down the road. We don't won't trouble or drama so we are just staying away.
Night clerk totally embarrassed my family and I by coming outside and yelling at my 11 year old son and ourselves when he went outside to check out a "drifter car" in the parking lot! She even said she was going to call police and have us arrested for trespassing if we didn't return to our rooms! It was only 11pm! Her name was Debbie. Safe yourselves the head ache and rent any where else!
This property off I-75 is out in the country with only a couple of fast food joints and a gas station for company. The rooms are bare bones, if equipped equally with all budget hotels. Strangely, the Covid protocol has closed the lobby (I saw strange since nowhere else in north Georgia seems to be doing this), so breakfast in a bag is the routine. There is no carpeting and no toiletries except those that dribble out of the wall dispenser. Although the place seems safe enough, I have to say that I would not choose this hotel again. Lots of options the next exit south near Cartersville proper.
We have stayed at this location many times on our way home from Florida. This time was different. The lobby was closed due to covid, but check in was still easy. As always, the hotel was clean and the price was good.
We found a coupon in a travel America book in a rest area and then found out we could book direct through the best western site so we did, for an additional $100 off the advertised price. When we got there they were extremely concerned about COVID rules Nd we could not get into the lobby. We had to deal with a clerk through the night window through plastic and a small slot. We were prepaid, but it still took 10 minutes to verify our reservation. The hotel was getting ready to paint the outside of the building, Nd while we were there, they covered our window with plastic in preparation for the painting somewhere in the future. The room was a bit musty smelling, but we took it anyway. The hotel was close to an Arby's and McDonald's , so we walked to a carry out diner from Arby's. The modified breakfast was handed to us, after we called in to the lobby and walked up to the lobby. We got a microwaveable sausage bisquite, with no directions on how long to cook it, and a piece of fruit, cup of yogurt and a power bar. Coffee and juice was in the outer lobby, no going into the lobby. I inadvertently left an iPad charger and cord in an outlet in the room. I contacted the management and they disavowed any knowledge of that fact and said it was not reported by housekeeping. So much for my stupidity. THe place is adequate, but not real good or excellent. The rate was fair for the quality.
I booked and pre-payed for a room here with AAA for $253 in Cartersville, GA but when I arrived they didn't have that room available and put me in a different one. When I checked out on 6/27/21, I was asked if I wanted a paper receipt or email. I told them email as it was raining and we were on motorcycles. When I got home I found out the room only cost $204. When I called AAA about a credit, their advocates tried to get help me but the location lied and said that I KNEW the agreed price and they refused to credit me. When I checked in, pricing was never discussed. This makes me not want to book with Best Western again. I will definitely let friends and family know about this location and to steer clear. I rarely stay in a hotel so this just makes me want to avoid them even more. Just disgusting treatment.
This is a 1 star hotel. The bedding was filthy. I asked for clean bedding and was given more dirty bedding. The blanket has huge cigarette burns. The room smelled horrific of cigarette smoke. The area is sketchy and the pictures are very misleading. The handicap room is on the second floor but the signs say don't use elevators in emergencies. The walk in shower drains into the entire bathroom area so it's definitely a fall hazard. I addressed this with the “assistant manager” and was yelled at and told it wasn't her fault.
I so wish I could do a “5” but the room was out of soap, a small coffee spill on floor and their were crumbs on some of the surfaces. Honestly, I've traveled enough to know there are few perfect rooms. The staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast bag was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a granola bar and water. It was packed with breakfast sandwich, granola bar, yogurt, muffins and water. Very generous. The bed was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
We have stayed here many times. They are always ready with a smile and nice rooms. They really care. The room is always ready and has been recently redecorate. The front desk lady always has a smile and cheerful mood which starts the stay off right. We will be back in the Fall.
We were tired and decided to stay here instead of driving and continuing to look for our usual hotel brand. We normally would not have chosen to stay where the entrance doors to the rooms are outside. We were very impressed with the quality and comfort of our room. The bed was super comfy. The linens were cozy. Everything was very clean. Because of COVID, breakfast has changed. We were given a bag (1 per guest) with yogurt, cereal, breakfast sandwich, muffins, etc. that was extremely impressive. We've added this hotel to our list of stay agains. It was worth the price!
We were in town for only one night and Best Western provided the quick, off the interstate experience we were looking for. Clean room and very comfortable. We were traveling with our family and would come back again.
Lobby is closed....period....and you get crowded into a 60 square foot reception area. Poor shade in the room that allowed outside street light in the entire light. No breakfast only a bag to go. Staff seems to be extremely paranoid about any contact with customers. Sign on the door saying they are not responsible if you die from COVID after your stay. Staff is rude....not wearing masks themselves and get upset if you even stick you head into the lobby to ask a question.
The hotel was very clean inside of the room, however, I did not feel safe due to the outside of the room environment. The staff was friendly. The elevators smelled like smoke. Access to rooms are exterior, which I'm not a fan of at all and don't plan to stay at again. Breakfast definitely needs more options.
Trust BW properties to exceed your expectations both in quality and service. Best value stays always available at BW. They are consistent across the country. Enjoy clean rooms on quick stops by many interstate highways.
This sucks. They are busy and it's winter and there's one person working and they're only allowing one person in at a time. So everyone is waiting outside. After 20mins outside I finally in the airlock which is what is being used as a lobby. So far this is horrible.
We stayed here on our way to visit family. This is a new hotel, very clean and friendly. Beds comfortable, COVID precautions in place. Had hot breakfast, but we didn't try it, as we got on road early. Would highly recommend!
I stay at this location 4-6 times a year. The only problem, and it's chronic, is the bottom sheets will not stay in place which interrupts my sleep. I like the property so I keep coming back. I just wish they would get sheets that fit.
This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The shower was hot anc the room was clean. Staff very friendly as we checked in after midnight. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when we come back to visit our daughter
Was here for a Lakepoint event. About five miles or ten minutes away from Lakepoint. The accommodations met our expectation for this level of hotel offering. If you stay in the front of the hotel, you're going to hear the busy street traffic. Room was clean, a little dated but recently renovated (carpet and bathroom tiles?), shower tub water outlet (you have to position the handle at the right spot or the water will continue flowing, it wasn't evident). Quick walk to McDonald's, or Arby's. Why spend double the cost of average night stay near Lakepoint if you can get a better deal at this property. If you are in town for other reasons, I would look for something closer to Atlanta or further South 75. This facility is about a :20 drive to Acworth, :35 to Marietta, and :57 to the Airport. This option is to only considered if you have an event at Lakepoint IMHO.
I stayed at this hotel 8/27-8/28. There was enough parking for a 26ft box truck. This was a smaller Best western. The people were nice and accommodating and the rooms were very good. This hotel is close to the freeway so it was easy on and off. The rooms were comfortable and clean with nice beds and good hot water. Very well taken care of and a nice place to lay your head.
Horrible Hotel..Find somewhere else to stay..Customer Service was lacking..Stayed 6 days..Room was never cleaned..Had to use my own towels, thiers look very old and worn..toilet continued to overflow..Mold on window seals..Very nasty experience..
I have been a Marriott Rewards member for a few years now. COVID 19 has made travailing a bit unpleasant. But I can not tell you how impressed I was with BW... It was so nice to come in the room in the afternoons to a clean, beds made, and fresh towels. The week before this trip we stayed at a Marriott. I asked for clean towels after being there three days and I was told they didn't have any ready. So I waited and asked again a few hours later. They told me I had to bring down my dirty towels and put the in the washer and then they would give me clean ones. My room at BW had a king and a queen which was great for me and my family. The beds were amazingly comfy. And again the BR and room it self was soooo clean. The owners were outside everyday cleaning around the hotel. By the end of my visit I became a BW rewards member. I will be staying here again.
My stay was for one night. No lobby access was allowed and there is a check in window. I requested a quiet room away from the smoking rooms. I did not detect cigarette smoke during my stay. As to quiet - there is a freeway on one side of the building and a highway on the other. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. My room appeared to be recently renovated and was in good condition. I could not log onto the wifi from my room, but was able to grab a weak signal by standing on the balcony of room 306. There is a busy commercial area nearby. My opinion was - decent value for the price.
My first complaint is not receiving the total amount of reward points per stay/booking. Secondly, I was told that if I find a room with Priceline at a discounted rated, Best Western Allatoona Inn & Suites would also match the price. THIS IS A BOLD LIE!!! Once you look at your credit card receipt online, you will see that you have been actually over-charges multiple fees just like I was. I have made several disputes on my credit card where I have been over charged by this hotel. Besize price gouging, the hotel is really clean.
Out of all of the hotels I've stayed in over the years, this is the only one where I could smell the cleanliness of the room. The staff was helpful and friendly, and we were so grateful for their kindness.
My husband and I were driving home from Florida back to Illinois. After getting through the chaotic traffic in Atlanta, we were ready to stop for the night. We usually avoid motel type rooms if possible, but we were tired and really didn't pay attention until after we checked in that this was a motel (doors on the exterior)of the building)....and we were on the back side which was where the interstate traffic was roaring past. Despite my initial uncertainty, I was pleasantly surprised to find what appeared to be a recently remodeled, clean room. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues but nothing that concerned us or affected our stay. We were able to drown out most of the interstate noise by running the fan on the thermostat. Breakfast was provided in the lobby the next morning with both hot and cold choices, including my favorite, a waffle maker! The lobby and breakfast area were also clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a nice , reasonably priced choice for what we needed--a place to sleep and eat--before we got back on the road early the next morning.
Excellent hotel for the money. Front desk over the top nice. Great experience. Would stay again. Will say was not sure where to turn in parking lot, entrance was not clear. Entered through gas station drive next door.
Room was spotless, bed was not horrible, better than expected for the price, breakfast was good. Quiet, minus some freeway background noise. Only problem was manager called me for payment after check out when I had already paid, but we sorted it out.
When traveling and only spending the night to rest and have breakfast, this place served our needs. Clean room and conformable bed with a good breakfast in the morning. Requested a back side room thinking it would be away from highway noise. Interstate on one side and the four lane on the other. Go figure...
When you stay at a hotel for 9 nights, you can usually find a few things that either don't work, or problems. Not at this hotel for my stay. Gracious hosts, clean rooms, great breakfasts. Offered advice on local restaurants and things to do and see! Will definitely come back to this place!
I stay at this hotel 6-8 times per year driving from one home to another. staff are always friendly and accommodating. The room is always clean and inviting. The internet is fast and the huge TV works perfectly, the frig cold, the microwave working and coffee pot ready to go.
We were in the city for an evening event and needed a room for the night. This location was close to major highways and only a couple miles from our destination. It was also near restaurants, service stations and easy access to highways and streets.
The staff was very nice. They greet you the minute you walk in the door. It was awesome having a gas station in walking distance. The downside is you hear the traffic from the road. Some of negatives were the sheets were stained. The milk for breakfast has chunks in it. The breakfast was poor all the way around. Yuck! The shampoo was out in the dispenser in the shower. Not a huge deal. This place would be ok to just sleep if you can get passed the stained cover and sheets.
This hotel looked recently remodeled. The rooms were very clean as was the lobby and breakfast area. The bed was very comfortable. It's in a convenient location off of the interstate and has restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Although the accommodations were clean and the front desk staff was helpful and polite the noise level of this hotel did not meet the standards of other Best Western and Best Western Plus sites I've stayed at
Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel could easily be missed ( next to a Chevron station). Checking in was fast and friendly. The facility was dated well kept. Breakfast was good with both hot and cold selection Biscuit and Gravy was very tasty.
My husband and I just stayed one night because we were headed somewhere else. Stayed in a king size room and it was very clean and spacious enough. Would stay there again if in the area. The young man who checked us in was very kind and helpful. We especially like it because it was pet and smoke free. Breakfast was average motel breakfast but the area was clean.
Gathering place before a near by wedding. Pleasant personnel, good breakfast Snd plenty of space to eat breakfast together. Gave us adjoining rooms which was even better experience. Good beds and linens. Bathroom fan was noisy and on 24 hours so we just kept the door closed but other room did not have a noisy fan. Quiet other than us. We used 3 rooms and would recommend again.
This was to be an overnight stay, but ended staying an additional night since hotel was close to both events we were attending . I would use this hotel again, even though I usually make sure I stay in hotels that have indoor coridors.
I stay at this location 6 or more times a year. Everything is always right, or they make it right. You cannot ask for more. The room is always clean and inviting. The TV is a wide screen with plenty of channels. Breakfast is always hot and fresh. Nice place
BW charges a $15 premium for pets & puts you on the extremely noisy highway side, on the 3rd floor! When I asked to be moved -(1) sink was clogged & maintenance didn't respond first day, and (2) the truck noise kept waking me up first night - Owner had audacity to say they limit "pet friendly" rooms to highway side because pets may affect other travelers with allergies. He should consider who is paying a premium - the pet owners! Only positives were room was "Best Western standard" clean & they have an elevator. Try the Microtel down the road - same rate as BW after the pet fee, they just remodeled September 2019 & are pet friendly!
My wife and I were at the end of a 2 week motorcycle trip, we just finished a long day and the owner went out of her way to accommodate us. I had asked for a couple rags to wipe down the bikes and and she gave us rags and a bucket to clean up the bikes, she was thankful we requested them instead of using the towels from the rooms. This BW was extremely clean and modern, one of the nicest we have stayed in over the years. I would highly recommend this location.
Under cooked sausage and tiny bagels and tiny muffins and, what, no real butter; bathroom fan motor louder then traffic noise; next to I75 so noisy couldn't sleep and advised to turn on the a/c fan-added to noise discomfort- think I was punished for using hotwire; would not stay here again on a bet.
Great service. People at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Everything working & in order. Good value! Pool for kids was good. We were in and out due to baseball games. This hotel was great for what we needed to do.
Patrice Was at the front desk when we arrived. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Since we had our service dog we had to go to the third-floor and she offered to help us carry our items up. Since we have an elevator and the cart I told her we would be fine. She went out of her way to make sure we were settled in very happy. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Safe neighborhood plenty of restaurants and stores and gas stations nearby. I do not have a complaint at all at this place I most definitely will be staying there again when I travel from Florida to Michigan and back. We highly recommend this location
At check in the desk person was moor than good at her job. She went out of her way to be helpful. We left at 4 AM but the breakfast was not till 6. They opened the dining area for us and had fresh coffee ready. No hot stuff but all the other things were there. We mark this hotel for future travels.
My travel time was extended (2 weeks+). Staff was welcoming and was interested in meeting my needs as they arose; i.e. questions at bfast, coffee late in the evening, change for laundry, extra towel here and there, smiles and friendliness (my in-laws we're struggling and requiring my help as temporary caregiver); the folks here made my lengthy stay so much more than bearable; they made it pleasant. I feel like God paved the way for my stay here. The first hotel I stayed at when I arrived in Cartersville was quite uncomfortable for the 2 nites I stayed. BW sooo much better! :)
We recently stayed at this hotel when attending a sporting event in Cartersville. The hotel is older and does not appear "fabulous" from the outside - not bad, but not fabulous. However, all of the rooms have been updated, were spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning was a real plus and was a full breakfast, very much along the lines of more expensive hotels. If I have any complaint it is that smoking is allowed in some of the rooms and smoke tends to drift. Also, smoking occurred on the outside hallways. Hotel would be much better if it were a non-smoking property like many other hotel chains
When we got there Jim the man running the front desk gretted us and was very nice. We rented 2 rooms bc we was travaling as a family. Are rooms were very clean any thing we needed Jim helped us with. I would Highly recomend this Hotel and hope u get to meet Jim hes funny and out going and we loved him so did the kids. Thanks for the great stay and next trip i will make sure we stop there to stay
I had a family emergency and needed a place to stay in Cartersville, I booked through Priceline with my room being non refundable, and when I got there to check in, the lady upfront informed me that I had accidentally chosen the smoking room and then was told that there was no other rooms available (I took full responsibility for not seeing I chose a smoking room and went about my merry way) I get to the room and the smell of smoke was not really that bad. Anyways an hour after getting settled in is when we start to see the roaches, and no these were not the giant water bugs you see everywhere. These were legit roaches. It was so gross. I wanted to leave but I already paid the 150 non refundable payment. So I literally just had to stick it out. NEVER going back EVER!
All in all it's not a bad place to stay. You can get to Cartersville within 20 minutes. The traffic is not that bad on the way there or coming back. Try pizza at the mellow mushroom. There are some nice parks in the area if you have time.
My grandson was participating in a baseball tournament that was being held at numerous locations in Georgia. I choose Best Western as a last minute decision to attend. I was very impressed with the efficiency, cleanliness, ease of check in & out. Impressed.
We needed a hotel for 5 hours of sleep to continue our trip to chicago. Found this on hotels.com and it was close. Check in was great! The lady was nice. The hotel was being remodeled at the time so she had to find us a room that had working A\\C & tv. The elevator was also out of service so we had to lug the suitcases up the stairs. Overall room was clean, a\\c and tv worked. I think once renovations are done this will be a great place to stay.
We travelled for three days through terrific rain storms to arrive, without any reservation, at the Best Western Allatoona Inn & Suites, to be greeted by night clerk Patricia, who informed me that the property had hit by lightening just moments prior and their computers were down. After a struggle to manually check us in, we then learned that the strike had also taken out three circuit boards on the elevator, but we agreed to climb the exterior stairs to our room. The morning of June 19, I had the pleasure of meeting General Manager, Dave Patel, who took this unfortunate matter in stride, exhibiting a very positive attitude even as his business was damaged somewhat by the storm. Mrs. Patel was also cheerful and positive as she welcomed us to their newly redecorated breakfast lounge. While the property is a bit dated, the owners are currently involved in a complete renovation process, and in spite of the recent setback, invited us to return to visit again upon completion to see the new rooms. The Patel team are a fine example of what great management can and should be. We will return in the future, and wish them well.
No one at the desk. 5pm. Had to go next door to the chevron to use the bathroom. Came back, still no answer when i hollered if anyone was home. Went outside and called from my cellphone, and got a gal to come to the desk. Checked in. Keys to the room worked ok. Smelled like Heavy Deodorizer in the room. Must have been a smoker previous. Smoke alarm chirping as we unload. Went to desk, no one there. After a minute, gal comes out. I tell her the smoke alarm is chirping (probably from the previous smoker) She says "probably a 9 volt" and gives me a nine volt battery! NO KIDDING I climb on a chair and change the damn battery and it still chirps! Later went to take a shower. They don't have the normal shampoo and bar soap. They have dispensers attached to the wall in the shower and at the sink. They are ALL empty. Not just a depleted cartridge, but no cartridge at all, in any of them. Low water pressure and only luke warm water. Parking sucks. I will never go back. way too much money for a crappy room. Made me rethink staying at best westerns in the future
I stay here whenever I travel from Missouri to Florida. The rooms are always clean with everything working. The staff go out of their way to make sure each trip goes without a problem and if one does pop its head, they fix it right away.
Very satisfied with Best Western, Friendly , professional,,,clean, decor was great. Everything I needed was there in the room, and in the other parts of the motel Everything was in excellent working order. I had no complaints. The Breakfeast bar was great too.
The hotel had friendly staff, Great breakfast, and Clean rooms. Would stay there again. Everything was managed well. Experienced a car driving tbrough the bushes next to us, and hitting our car. Manager was on it and called police right away.
This hotel is located very near Hwy I-81and was very convenient for us in transit to Georgia and Florida. It is, however,a bit pricey; but the room was large and clean. There was no in-house restaurant;but nearby are Arby's and MacDonalds fast foods.
We arrived shortly before 3pm checkin, and were made to wait 'for a room to be cleaned' till almost 3, yet we never saw a cleaning person working on the rooms. We have never been made to wait for checkin time, at any other Best Western in Canada or USA, and we have stayed at over 50 of them. While we waited, we were alarmed to see an exterminator truck pull in beside us. The driver assured us that he was there for maintenance, and not due to a problem. We believe him. The fridge didn't work in our first room. A man came and 'fixed it', but it wasn't fixed and started leaking water on the floor. The cleaning lady who came next, wanted to solve the problem by leaving us a rag to wipe up the leaks. Not happy. So we went to the front desk and were switched to a different room. It smelled badly of cigarette smoke. So we went back again to the front desk, and were given another room. It smelled badly of smoke. So back to the front desk yet again, and finally, after dragging our luggage from room to room, our 4th room had a working fridge and was not smoke filled. The bathroom in 2 of these rooms were quite outdated and grungy. The mattresses had seen their better day and they made a crunching sound when you moved on them. The breakfast lady was very 'carefree' in that there was no coffee, no forks, very few sausages, and the garbage cans were overflowing. She was more interested in a very long conversation with another guest to notice us trying to ask to get a refill on the coffee maker. It took till we were almost finished breakfast for it to be ready. We will not be back.
We stayed here on our way home from Miami after a cruise. The desk clerk was friendly. Check-in was easy, and we were directed to our room on the back of the hotel. The room was nice and clean, though the furniture was starting to show its age with water marks and rub marks. The noise was a little above average for what we were hoping, being right beside I-75. There were people talking in the parking lot outside of our room at 11pm, and since the hotel has outside hallways, we were subjected to the conversation, somewhat muffled by the doors. Occasionally, loud trucks would drive by and make a lot of noise. The breakfast was decent, but the scrambled eggs were dried and a little on the old side. I would consider staying here again, as the location is just past Atlanta, so we avoided the traffic the next morning, but the noise was a bit much for us.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms, good hot breakfast. Great value. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Only watch out is finding the entrance to the motel. The motel is visible from the road, but the entrance was a little tricky.
I normally don't stay at motels but this was near where we were going and I had a BW gift voucher. I will say it shows it's wear, but it was clean. The service was excellent, especially check in with Mr. James Ellington! Thank you for the great welcome and wonderful hospitally.
This hotel was close to our destination. Room was adequate. No complaints. We found the check out desk staff to be unfriendly and almost rude. Female Check in staff was pleasant and friendly. Male Check out staff not so. He also supervised breakfast area. Argued with me over a bottle of water.
“100% non-smoking hotel” tried to place me and my family in a smoking room. In town for a volleyball tournament. Got to hotel around 10 p.m., had called earlier that afternoon to relay late check-in. I'd made reservations three weeks ahead of time via the hotel website (not a third-party website). I had requested room with two queen beds. At check-in, “Patrice” greeted us with a smile and a warm/courteous welcome. Sadly, things went downhill from there when she relayed only room left was a smoking room. Extremely frustrating hearing this news. Relayed I didn't request a smoking room, and shouldn't be put in a smoking room, and that that was not acceptable. I appreciated “Patrice” being up front about the smoking room, prior to us finding out when we first entered the room. Patrice asked us to check out the room, see what we thought. Said an ion (??) machine could be placed in room to help with smell, if we accepted room. Also relayed big weekend with the volleyball tournament and most all hotels were sold out, but she'd try to help us find another hotel, if we didn't accept smoking room. We checked out room, room smelled awful! Definitely not doable for us to stay in for the weekend. Back to front desk, relayed no go to Patrice. Patrice checked system again, and relayed she did have another room, king bed with pull-out sofa. Still frustrated that what I'd reserved three weeks prior wasn't available. I thought that was the point of making a reservation in the first place – to secure your accommodations ahead of time. Told Patrice we needed a room with two queens or two doubles or two full beds. Patrice called another hotel for us, trying to help us find another room. While she was doing that, I checked online trying to find another hotel. No luck, all booked, so our only choice was to accept the king bed room and make-do. Because of the inconvenience, Patrice reduced our nightly room rate from $74.99 ?? to $69.99, said she'd give us extra points on our Best Western Rewards card, and gave us complimentary bottled water and snack bags. I very much appreciate Patrice's efforts in trying to improve an extremely frustrating and unpleasant guest experience. When we got into our substitute hotel room, read the hotel guest directory information. First item on the sheet – “Smoking Policy – Our hotel is now 100% non-smoking hotel”. HA!! – obviously NOT. Patrice was awesome, however, we won't be staying at this hotel again, and it's NOT a hotel I'd recommend.
Mr James was the gentleman who checked me in. He was very helpful and professional. Give me advice of places to eat and which ones delivered. I was pleasantly surprised at the rooms being clean, modern, and a comfortable bed. No smell and no noise. I would stay here again.
Rolled in about 11pm on the 18th. The manager and Terrell were very helpful. I had just left The Quality Inn in White because the lady refused to put us in a non smoking room. Of course there were plenty of rooms available. So the Staff here at Best Western was great. Very clean room, good breakfast. I'll certainly stay here again.
We stay at this hotel a number of nights each year. The service is always top notch, and if there is a problem, staff is on it. Overall the problems have been few. Breakfast is always great. The wifi is fast and reliable. I have never used the pool, but it's always clean and inviting. Finally, the grounds are always neat and clean. The HVAC is accurate and very quiet. A great place to stay.
We came in late on New Year's Eve pulling a trailer. The desk clerk Jim was very friendly and helpful. As far as the room it was very clean and well maintained, over all a great deal for the money my wife and I will be staying here in the future when we visit our Daughter
I stopped here while traveling with my little girl, it was getting late and we we're tired. James Ellington at Guest services was the kindest guy ever, he's very friendly, all smiles and good humor. It was a pleasant arrival after being on the road all day. Great rooms, very very clean, the beds were so comfortable and all new. We love it here and would for sure stay again passing through. Ohhhhhh, and great price!!!
We have stayed at this property many times over the past 30 years. It is always clean, well maintained and near restaurants and the highway. The service and breakfast is always great too. The parking lot is well lit too.
Room was really comfortable, plenty of plug ins for all of our electronics. Staff was very nice. Bed and pillows really comfy. Parking lot was very secure and well lit. Tons of channels on the television.
In desperate need for some sleep my husband, daughter, granddaughter and I had to find a room for an unexpected stop on our way home. We checked out a few hotels in the area because we wanted somewhere clean and not too expensive to crash for the night. When we walked into Best Western Allatoona Inn & Suites. it was by far the best around. The staff was warm & friendly. The rooms were amazingly clean & beautiful. When you have a small child with you the first thing a parent or grandparent thinks of is their feet on nasty, dirty carpet...but this was not the case. The carpet was so clean and no smelly odors. We all had a great nights sleep. The free hot breakfast was delicious. There was something for everyone's liking. Best hotel experience this 52 year old woman has had.
As before, a good value at a well kept Best Western property. James Ellington of guest services is the friendliest greeting you could have. Clean room, breakfast included. Close parking for the car. Great!!
This motor in is far enough off the interstate that you do not get the truck noise all night but only a minute away. No hallways as you park in the lot and go to you room from the outside. Free breakfast but if you leave early like we did you can ask for a brown bag kit that has water, protein bar, blueberry muffin and fresh fruit. A nice touch for a budget motel. Room was clean, two queen beds a very large fridge, a really big TV biggest I have seen in a motel room. Very friendly staff both at check in and check out. A no frills place to get some rest on your travels.
We stayed here for one night on our way home. The hotel is very clean, the room was clean. The shower had pump shampoo and body wash so we didnt run out..yay! The breakfast wad hot and yummy.. The beds were very comfy. I would definitely stay again if we were in the area..have yet to find a best Western that isnt up to my standards!
Typical BW hotel. Recently renovated. Check in went smoothly. Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was another story. Same old stuff each day. Eggs over cooked. Sausage too salty. Cereals run of the mill.
Had to wait 20 minutes for front desk associate to come to desk for check in, again no one at the desk upon check out. Room had a bad odor, although clean. Associate was very rude at check in, i even called the night before to make sure there would be no issues for arrival check in/ out. Traveling for business and would not be able to arrive-checkin until 6am. Clerk made a huge deal on the day of check in and was rude and complaining the entire time.
excellent place to stay. Room was nice and quite for being In room #1 first floor next to office and roadway. A/C unit in room was best, didn't groan and rattle when it kicked on! Had to go some distance to find dinner but when I got there they were lots to choose from!
The check in girl was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast prep needs improvement. The eggs are real. The check out girl was not as friendly. I brought to her attention the breakfast station needed manned. Supply and demand. Biscuits were hard. Some yogurt was outdated. Eggs had egg shell in it. I only told her the milk ran out. She didn't seem very happy so I left it at that. She wasn't very approachable. I would definitely stay again. It was so clean and worth the price.
We really like the location. Everyone is so friendly, the nearby restaurants are extra friendly and always glad to see you. We like the close proximity to the interstate, but far enough that you don't hear the traffic. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained.
the location was fair-close to the interstate. Hotel looked great. It was recently renovated. Room was clean and well appointed. However, the mattress was rock hard and the most uncomfortable I ever slept on. Due to this and a loud bthrm fan that you couldn't turn off, we didn't sleep at all. Told the front desk about the mattress and noise. I even called corporate Got a call finally from the owner-he was sorry but offered no discount or hope of a better bed on our next visit (couldn't get the surgery we were scheduled for ) He agreed that the mattresses were old and said they would eventually replace them. why remodel without changing the most important part of a good nights sleep-which after all is why you need a room to begin with?
Real nice Best Western just off I-75 with great comfortable clean rooms! Nice Breakfast to get your day going and close to Eating establishments for other meals! Nice friendly staff on check in and out!
This hotel is clean and well appointed. It is well located close to main street in Cartersville. Room is very nice. Furniture and Carpet in the room looked brand new. Television and bed were excellent. Great Breakfast in a new appearing facility. Handicap room has bath tub with many grab bars but no walk in shower.
We have stayed here a couple of times over the past three years and were expecting more. It was the most expensive motel on this trip and the worst for what we paid. We must stay off season because the rate was twice what we normally pay $144. Thought it would be OK but from there on it went downhill. Clerk told us this was the room the BW inspectors used. WOW, can't believe this is still a BW. There was black mold on the walls in the bathroom. Peeling paint. The toilet seat was not fastened down. Nuts on the bolts but not even close to tight. You would have to turn them a couple of inches. Plus cheap plastic seat. When we got there we loaded the refrigerator with cheese and other things we wanted to keep cold. It felt cold but some turned it off recently (hours) and everything thawed. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Worst on the trip. Blue eggs?? Nothing was good. Ate some cereal. Controlling the AC was a challenge. HOT, COLD.....
it was nice but the food was bad.pool was nice, rooms yall could put air not smelling poorly.have not got my cards for staying two or more nights. with two different rooms. more trash can around the hotel
Beds were comfortable, breakfast is normal - good, nothing great (but what place is 'great' for breakfast - normal, decent and they had a good selection that they offered). My son and his family had adjoining rooms and the 2 and 5 year grand kiddies had a great time running between the rooms before bed!! It was a blast to watch.
We came to Cartersville for a funeral, and GPS took us in the wrong direction on Highway 20, so it was twice as far through Atlanta's rush hour traffic. We arrived exhausted, and we were third in line for registration. We were entertained by James Ellington's lively, friendly and welcoming comments to those ahead, and when my wife reached for a $1 bottle water, he said that it was complimentary because of our wait. Our usual chain of choice, Marriott, was full with a baseball tournament in town, as were our other rewards choices. I hadn't stayed at a Best Western in years. Our room, 207, was refreshingly cool. From 92 degrees outside to a wonderful 70 degree inside. The bed was comfortable. The sofa convertible was judged comfortably our son, who is an experienced business traveler. The room was clean. The sink was separate from the bathroom, and the bathroom was on the small side, but functional. Lighting was good. The free internet appreciated. The room was quiet despite a busy highway behind us. Immediately next door was a Chevron and grocery store. It was obvious that someone cares about this property, and we met the owner, a very friendly, hard working woman. My wife expounded in detail about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The lady came back shortly with a pocketknife/corkscrew/screwdriver that was extremely handy in cutting up some of the Georgia peaches we had purchased. The food was simple, but fresh and adequate. The coffee was good and we appreciated the French vanilla creamer. The dining room was spotless, and the coffee, actually, very good. The price was fair. I have only one criticism. No sleep timer on the TV set. A very near perfect stay. As good as our Marriott experience.
The whole place was extremely clean, everything was in working order, and it seemed to have been updated recently. Excellent breakfast with real scrambled eggs. Gracious and helpful owner/manager and staff. The bed was very comfortable, not hard nor soft, and had a good mattress pad on it. The shower head was great! The internet worked well. And it was nice to have an elevator to carry our luggage up to the 2nd floor. We live in the Atlanta area and sometimes get away just for an overnight. We feel we have found a new place that fits our budget and will definitely stay here again. The rate is reasonable and we felt safe here, even though the rooms exit onto an outside walkway. I believe you will enjoy your stay at Best Western Allatoona as much as we did!
Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Very noisy as it is located between two highways. Breakfast was only fair. No decent restaurants unless you get back on interstate. Would not stay here again. Very difficult to find entrance as it is accessed via gas station.
We stopped here late last minute on our way to the GA Aquarium for the next day. They were very courteous and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the staff were very friendly.
The room included a mini fridge and microwave. We normally stay at a Holiday Inn Express but this hotel was about one third of the price within one mile and had the same amenities. Would stay here again when passing through the area.
Stop! Reading reviews, move on, skip this hotel (motel)! Next to gas station & Motel 6. Worst customer service! Didn't even complete the check in process. To many hotels in the area, to put up with rude desk clerk and scary area.
Unrepaired holes in the wall, and globs of mud hanging from and old leak in the ceiling. Cant charge your phone unless you leave the tv on all night. Toilet paper holder mounted upside down and 1/2 falling off the wall. Towel rack in the bathroom looks like something my kids made in shop class @ school. Otherwise it was nice, friendly personnel. Maybe it was just my room?
I have been staying at this hotel since it opened and have never had anything bad to say. The rooms are clean and the rooms are upgraded regularly with new mattresses and paint inside and out. Staff is always professional.
Had difficulty locating entrance which was through a gas station and down a hill from station. Lobby was recently redecorated and was so fresh with white tile wall, very crisp looking with color lighting. The breakfast room was very nice and well maintained, and it too had been updated nicely. The rooms were a bit older, but clean and well maintained offering a very good nights sleep. We were told the rooms are on the schedule to renovated soon.
Could not have asked for any better stay than this one for one night on our way to a wedding in Tennessee. This hotel had everything we needed and we had 2 rooms close together to accomodate my son and my driend and myself. Property nice, clean , good location easy on and off the Interstate
Our one night stay here in May 2018 was okay, but not great. Staff was very nice, food was standard Best Western hot breakfast with waffle maker...but our room on the 3rd floor smelled of smoke or general funkiness. There was a hole in the bed's foot coverlet. Parking was kind of tight, and there was no marked pet walking area. Okay, but wouldn't stay here again. Just had an overall unclean vibe. Keep looking.
They staff here are always awesome! They go out of their way to make sure I get the same room every visit. During my last visit I arrived later than expected due to traffic. Jim and the staff made sure I had a warm welcome and my room was clean, ready, and waiting. , I feel this location is the perfect fit between cost vs value. I have stayed in higher priced hotels and received much less value. This location is a great bang for the buck.
For a good night sleep, not here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Everything else, related to the building, room lighting, fixtures, furniture, was either worn out or poorly constructed and/or maintained.
I reserved a ground floor room. When we arrived, I was told the request was not in the computer. Our room was difficult to get to and as far away from the ice machines as you could get. The washer and dryer are in disrepair. The beds were very comfortable. The ac units are loud and the bed is placed in front of the unit so it blows in your face every time it turns on. The hotel is located between I-75 and GA 20 both busy noisy roads. I was surprised at how little road noise if any we heard. It was 92 degrees and the pool was not open. Breakfast was good, standard Best Western style. The room was clean. There was 2 of us and they could not provide a second luggage rack for the room. I would search for other area options before staying there again.
After driving 12 hours along i-75 and not ready to deal with Atlanta's traffic jams, my friend and I decided to choose a hotel. We both choose the best western Altoona due to the fair pricing & close to 75 and local food locations. The driveway is a bit tricky to get into off highway 20 so the easiest way to remember how to enter is by using the turn lane that faces the gas station since this highway is a divided highway. Simply turn into the gas station area then look for a sharp driveway that drops down into the parking lot on your left where the hotel is. Check in was a breeze and they also have triple A discount which was a bonus. Our clerks were friendly, up beat , definitely have that southern twang and were welcoming with open conversation and helped point out some food establishment's that served alcohol (you have to drive south on 75 to exit 288 if you wish to dine with alcoholic beverages since the restaurants closest to the hotel do not have alcohol licenses. Definitely different and a first time thing for me to experience) The room (double bed) is pretty big and the tv is nice and has clean reception. Wi-Fi is pretty strong (although I noticed the Wi-Fi box not far from my room so I can't say if it is strong as it is for me on this review for the entire hotel.) The decor is nice, the added thermostat on the wall to control the rooms air system is a extra bonus since most places the knobs are usually loose, not there or just don't work properly. Overall, the only thing negative is they have a pool but the owner hasn't opened it for the season which is disappointing considering that it is wednesday May 2nd, and one would assume being the month of May the pool would already be open for the guests. So if you're looking for a place to relax and won't ding up your wallets budget, then yes this is a place to book a room. Gas right next door and food options within a very short distance of the hotel.
Return trip to Wisconsin from Key West Florida. Had driven 11 hours and the check in went very smoothly and when leaving early next morning Jim was extremely helpful with info and providing me an on the road breakfast/snack bag. Great job Jim! I will surely return on my next trip!
Exceptionally clean, pleasant personnel, eager to please. Would definitely stay at this location again if in area. Just make sure to ask to stay in front portion of hotel, back a bit noisy with the thruway.
We were trying to find a hotel but they were all booked and we saw the Best Western from the interstate and decided to try it. We usually stay at the Hampton or La Quinta inns. We have never stayed at a Best Western. But now we know we have been missing out. This hotel is close to the interstate which makes it really convenient. We didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door and it was so nice inside. Very Very clean. A true King bed with nice fluffy pillows. Nice bathroom also. Has shampoo and Body wash dispenser in the shower already. We were on the side that faced the Interstate and it was a little loud but we travel with a fan to help block out any noise. And once we turned the fan on it was fine in the room. The staff was amazing when we checked in they were having some issue with computer. But both people worked on it until they got it fixed and checked us in quickly. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed in the suite above the lobby. Lots of room and amenities. Room to stretch out and watch TV and have cocktails. Refrigerator and microwave. Jim at the front desk was fun & helpful. Would recommend this place.
Nice and helpful staff -- especially Jim Ellington. He was super kind and a goofball (constant joker). Odd location with the driveway connected to a gas station. But it was a super quite spot. Nice rooms and accommodations! The rooms were clean and well kept. Plus for the noise level of other guests -- the walls are thick and I wasn't ever disturbed even though each night was packed at the hotel. Side note though, the lobby smelled super funny and kind of old (like mildew or mold).
We always stay here going back and forth to Florida. It is exactly half way. We travel with our well behaved dog and it is nice to have a place he is welcome. Beds are comfortable, the water is hot and breakfast is a time and money saver.
We have stayed at the Best Western Allatoona Inn and Suites twice and both times were so great. From the front desk to the breakfast to the checkout, everything went so smoothly. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is super easy to find. Our room was big and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. If we travel that way again, we will definitely be staying at this hotel.
Felt welcome and "at home" the minute I walked into the Lobby. Very convenient with reasonable rates. All employees that I encountered were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, easy access Wi-FI, great TV channels. Breakfast was more than I expected. As a seasoned traveler, I highly recommend this Best Western in Cartersville, GA
And convenient! Just off Exit 290. Our room was perfect. Can't beat this place for the price. And they feature the friendliest and most entertaining desk host named Jim. Very welcoming to us weary travelers. Thank you!
You get a lot for what you pay for including parking and breakfast. The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the main road, so if you (like we were) in the middle of a long road trip, this was a great option.
Our krew rented two (2) rooms. Both clean and nice. Front desk clerk was OUTSTANDING, even at 1am when we checked in. Free breakfast. Its not the Ritz Carlton but you dont get a free breakfast there. The staff is just as friendly as you could ask for and if down this trail again, we will book here.
The room was great on the surface. Until we noticed there were bed bugs in our room. When we made the complaint, the front desk proceeded to accuse us of bringing the bed bugs with us and they were extremely rude about it. The other two guys on my crew didn't have any problems. Apparently my room just didn't get cleaned well enough in between guests.
The hotel has been upgraded to comply with new best western standards. The entrance to the rooms is from the street side which is very convenient for unloading if you are first floor. Rooms are neat and comfortable albeit small by today's standard. While they can't change the design the hotel is nicely appointed.
Stayed here several times and the staff is always so nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. We got a discount because they work with a local church and this time we came for a funeral.
We were so late arriving due to traffic that we weren't sure there would be a room for us. The owner of this hotel was so helpful, kind, and personable. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast offerings were plentiful with an onsite employee catering to your needs. After staying at large Hilton for a week, this room and hotel was far superior to the overpriced, unsatisfactory one we had before.
Service and facilities are great. Service is awesome. Will stay again. Best hotel service. We have stayed here a couple times and we will come back in the future. The staff is always friendly and that try to please.
We just stopped on way home from Ft Stewart since Cartersville just past Atlanta's traffic going north. Checked in at 1 pm and was greeted by a very friendly older gentleman. Rooms on back of building hear the interstate hums. Free breakfast was hot and cold things. Microwave and fridge. Clean. Right off interstate so not to far to drive.
What a great find! We just came through Atlanta Sunday evening to avoid the morning rush hour. Stopped at this location before continuing on North. The staff was very friendly. Rooms immaculately clean.and in the breakfast area you could eat off the floor! It is hard to find, you have to enter through a service station, but it is worth the search. It is a gem and we will plan our trips and try to stay here again.
I have stayed here a number of times. Always a good experience. There is one recurring problem. The sheets don't fit the beds and come loose during the night. Everything always works, the room is clean and the staff great.
When I travel for vacations, I chose Best Western because they are convenient, very comfortable and if I bring my little dog, she can stay with us. I find the price reasonable and the extras excellent.
The eggs were obviously powdered, biscuits were frozen, sausage lacked flavor, other items ok, small cups for juice and milk, had to refill at least 3 times just to satisfy my 3 year old granddaughter. Waffles, cereal, muffins good. Coffee was ok.
Enjoyed my stay there! Always a pleasure staying at a Best Western Motel! Always up to date properties! Great breakfast! Great nights sleep on comfortable bed in a nice clean room! Easy access off and onto the Interstate highway! Great choice of eateries nearby!
Look no further! Altoona happened to be our half-way point on our journey. It is so important to us to choose a place that is clean and cheap....in that order. I've come to rely heavily on Trip Advisor when locating a place to stay or new place to eat when unfamiliar with a town. Once again, positive Trip Advisor reviews led us to this super clean Best Western at a fantastic price. I was able to receive a special price through the TA app by booking directly online and using my AAA membership. Checking in at the front desk was a breeze, and all the formalities were handled in a fast and courteous manner by the friendly desk clerk. Upon entering our room (second level, local traffic road side) we immediately noticed how fresh smelling, and clean the room appeared. The decor was new, modern and tastefully decorated. The furniture and carpet were in excellent shape. The bathroom floor and tub/shower were also very clean. And a nice touch was the filled shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower, and the hand soap and lotion dispensers above the sink. There was also a clean mini fridge and microwave located in the entertainment console. Before checking out the next morning, we entered the breakfast area and got our fill of a hot delicious assortment of traditional breakfast foods; make your own waffles, oatmeal with all the fresh toppings, sausage patties, real scrambled eggs, buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, bagels, muffins, bread, milk, juice, and coffee. Save money. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!
The Best Western Altoona Inn in Cartersville GA is conveniently located close to I75. There are several restaurants in the local atea. The room was clean with a microwave and refrigerator and decorated in the mode of other Best Westerns. A comfortable room overall and free breakfast and wifi are included.
This Best Western presented very nice for an older exterior door motel. Room was just fine. People with big trucks or trailers beware, the parking lot is tight. I got booked into a smoking room (don't know how that happened) but the clerk switched me no problem.
Excellent Stay. Staff was extremely professional. The facility was very clean and all our needs were met. I recommend this hotel for anyone traveling Cartersville area. I felt it was a very good value.
We most always stay at Best Western properties. This hotel was one of the best! My wife and I had been driving a U-Haul truck for several hours and we were looking for a good place to spend a restful evening. We found it here! Thank you, BW!
It's bad enough to try and find a decent hotel that allows smoking these days so when I found this place online and it had good reviews we booked...and WOW! What a nice hotel! We were greeted by Steve upon check in who was the nicest! Also recommended a great place for dinner! The room was immaculate and we could not believe this was a smoking room! Smelled so nice! There are new renovations to this place and it looks great! Breakfast was awesome too with hot fluffy scrambled eggs and waffles to make with the BW symbol on the waffle iron - nice touch! Everything was fresh and the coffee was great too - pleasant surprise for hotel coffee! Cannot say enough about our one night stay and highly recommend this place for anyone passing thru! This place should set the Best Western standard as we have stayed in other BW's but this by far was the best hotel of all that we have stayed in in years!
Great place to stay for work. A lot of construction workers stay at the hotel. Great decent place to stay for the budget minded people. The breakfast wasn't bad. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravey, and several other items. The rooms are outside access.
My spouse and I woke up to loud music coming from what appeared to be a room above us around 3am, at approximately 4 am I called to front desk to have someone investigate and maybe resolve the problem. I was told by the receptionist that she could not leave the reception area and that I would have to call the police at 911. To my knowledge calling 911 for a noise problem is abuse of an emergency service therefor I did not pursue my complain any further. It appears that this hotel relies exclusively on a camera system for security, if you have a noise issue and you are not willing to go out and investigate where it's coming from yourself you will not get any help unless you want to call 911. My other ratings of poor for cleanliness and rooms comes from the fact that the couch and chair have multiple stains. On the plus side the receptionist at check in was excellent , the breakfast area is very clean and well decorated and the food was good.
Everything about my experience was very positive. Beautiful room with a very reasonable rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful free breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel and it is pet friendly.
I stay at this hotel frequently and recently learned of concerns with other travelers associated with exterior rooms. I have never had any reason to be concerned for my safety here. The accommodations are consistently clean, secure and comfortable. The staff and management are always friendly and very helpful as well. It is a great value for overall costs!
This was a clean, comfortable hotel. The pool, spa area was lovely, warm, and indoors. Staff very helpful. Rooms and beds clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again if I am travelling this way
We stopped here on our way to Florida and we were surprised at the cleanliness you get for only $60. The staff was friendly, the room looks like it was recently updated (but you can tell it was not a complete renovation), and the breakfast was delicious. They had waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, grits, oatmeal and fruit.
Just a quick overnight stop while traveling. For the money, can't beat it. Nice breakfast, nice rooms, quick to get in and out. Rooms clean, and I like the fact that parking is right outside the room door.
This Best Western was very clean! I was so suprised! We have not had great experiences with Best Western in the past. The last one was so filthy pI swore I would never go to one of them again. But trying to find a place late night so this is what we found. So glad we did. Breakfast selection was what a person would expect for a free breakfast. The breakfast room was very clean as was the rooms we used. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.
The hotel was nice but there wasn't any restaurant / bar or pubs really close. Had to drive a few miles to find a Hooters. There were plenty of fast food places. We wanted to relax and watch some sports
Nice hotel, was in a good location just off the interstate, the front desk staff (both check in and checkout) were very helpful. Gas stations and restaurants were close to the hotel. Very good hot breakfast. Downside - interstate noise - shared entrance/exit with gas station - knot the best signage.
October 15, 2017 one night. Very nice motel. Very clean, excellent service, friendly staff, great beds & pillows. Area well kept, I would highly recommend this motel to anyone. Greatlocation and very quite.
This hotel had newer decor and friendly staff but unfortunately smelled of smoke and mildew in our non smoking room. Was easy to get to but almost not worth the price the Motel 6 may have been equal in value for less a night .
We stay at this BW every time we go to and from Florida. The owner and wife acknowledge us by name. Night staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly. They have remodeled since our last stay. Very nice choice of style and colors.
Property was hard to get into at night, you have to drive through gas station to access their parking lot. Room was clean but there was no soap or lotion in the wall dispensers, there was no Kleenex or even an empty box in the dispenser. Some of the breakfast items were good (bagels, cereal, eggs, waffles, biscuits) but the sausage was gross like it was boiled or something. The gravy was the most watery stuff I've ever seen. Coffee was also very bad. We were waiting to check out but no one was there, sign said be right back, seen staff standing on the gas station property near the road on her phone. Weird stay!
The clerk was pleasant and helpful. Rooms are average - could use some updating. Hot breakfast bar was good. Internet connection was awful. Beds are okay. Location is right off the highway so there is a little traffic noise.
This is a nice hotel. You can get to fast food quickly or take the next exit and go into the city. Rooms are nice - we didn't get a handicap because it was a last minute reservation. We were supposed to be further south in GA but had been affected by weather and construction. I like the location - we have stayed several times here.
After evacuating SW Florida due to Hurricane Irma and driving 17 hours straight, arrived at the BW in Catersville, GA @ 10:30 a.m., we asked when the soonest they would have a room available. We were given a long dissertation that check-out time is 11:00 a.m. and check-in is not until 3:00 p.m., so no room would be able available until all rooms were cleaned which would be after 3:00. It's hard to believe they couldn't provide a room once they began cleaning them, or given us an earlier time to check in than 3:00 p.m. We weren't requesting every room in the hotel, only one. Needless to say, we were very disappointed, not to mention tired, and will never consider staying at that hotel again. We've had great service at other BW hotels, just not this one.
Toilet not operating - carpet sopping wet - no soap in dispenser - Loud traffic noise expressway - No coffee cup lids in room mmqmyoixcmantiesflaxw lmwovs would not stay here again lmwovs would not stay here again lmwovs would not stay here again lmwovs would not stay here again
A great place to say. I have many times. Sadly, they use fitted sheets that are not fitted. By morning, the corner of the sheet is away from the corner of the sheet. Even with that little glitch, I will continue to stay there.
Had to flee from Hurricane Irma 9-7-17 Gulf Coast FL with my 80 year old very ill dad. It was a VERY STRESSFUL LONG 22 1/2 Hours Bumper to Bumper Ride. I called few times to let them know we were still coming as I had a fear of losing our room. ALL Hotels incl this one were 100% booked. We had to sleep 4 hrs at an I-75N Rest Stop just too exhausted to continue thru the night. Started early next a.m. but bumper cars again. FINALLY made it late that 2nd day of traveling. Each time I called I was assured by the owners Dave and his wife (I'm terrible with different names) not to worry. Just drive safe and our room is waiting for us when we got here. It was!!!! There were no more Handicap units but they worked with us for a Double Bed which worked fine in Room #302. The table to eat, rolled my dad in his wheelchair to eat there was very helpful and we managed the restroom. Bed very comfy. Love the 4 variety of pillows. Love they replaced the old standard Shower Rod with the curved rod feels more roomy and awesome Waterfall Shower Head. After a very stressful few days before watching the weather, tracking Irma trying to decide to leave or stay then packing all essentials incl both our medicaions (I too have health issues), important papers etc pack up the car then get my dad into the car for this very long ride who has not left FL in 40 Years and weathers Charlie, Andrew etc did leave this time, I so needed this wonderful shower with plenty of hot water for my aching joints & muscles. I did call originally to set up my reservations thanking God they had one room left and spoke with Steve at the hotel. He was rather "short" in his conversing re: price and info of this BW since I've never been here. I did explain I saw a different price on BW Homepage Website. He very curtly said "well those other sites don't know our prices". I said again this was on the BW Home Website so why would the Hotel price be different then their own Parent Company Website Price. As a "reasonable" consumer I would expect it to be the same. If not, then the lowest price should be honored because Steve may not be aware BW also has a "Lowest Price Guarantee" which logically would then honor their own lower price. He then said "well go online thru them and order then". I was shocked with this reply given they are supposed to honor the "Lowest Price and surely their own company (though independently owned) guidelines and guarantees. NO I was not trying to rip anyone off or get it for nothing, just what I saw online when I went directly onto BW Website to find a BW Hotel above Atlanta but not too far because my dad couldn't sit much longer. Too much for him:(( So I thought with so many coming in, fleeing Irma not knowing what would happen to their home and property incl possessions left behind everyone on edge incl Steve. So I mentioned I'm sure your stressed some with all this, his reply surprised me say the least. He said "No, I was in Iraq so this is nothing". Not sure why that had to be mentioned but I did thank him for his service. Again very curtly and short tome, he said "no need to thank me. So do you want to reserve the room?". I did because I couldn't take a chance lose it. But he originally charged me higher price regardless lower price guarantee even on their BW Home Website for their hotel here. I called BW Customer Service, explained the Price Issue especially knowing we'd have to be there at least 5 days, expenses for gas money, food. The Rep, Evie was very patient and nice. She contacted this hotel and spoke with Steve who she said told her he was not aware of how to adjust it in their system on site. She walked him thru that and she confirmed the price was adjusted to reflect the lower price seen on BW Website honoring their "Lowest Price Guarantee". I explained I saw online but was so stressed with storm to go back in do online plus I already JUST booked it to ensure have one. She said he apologized. This was very much appreciated that BW CSR Evie resolved this but if Steve had just told me he didn't know how to adjust the lowest price guarantee price I'd understand but it was his shortness and just hurrying me along so fast trying to get me off the phone and made me feel like he thought I was trying to rip off the owners by asking him to honor the BW online price, not a 3rd party like Booking.com or Priceline. He seriously needs Customer Service Training especially when dealing with DISASTER Relief Refugees because level of stress is already escalated with many variables. So it would be appreciated if Steve would be more patient, not so sharp in tone and reply-responses and understand not everyone is out to rip them off. Anyone wants the best price. But when you think "negative", you reply and react negatively. I will say after the BW Rep Evie spoke with Steve he was a tad nicer and when I called later to confirm we were on the way still, he said "no problem you put your card on the room, so you have it when you get here". I had a question but he said "Ma'am I have several people here. What else do you need?" in slight sharp tone still but little less than earlier. Some people cannot handle pressure and high volume business especially when hit at one time incl phone going crazy. I've dealt with the public and residents of my 10 Multi Properties Residential Property Mmgt for 25 years as Operations Mgr so I truly understand how stressful it can be. But you must not let it overwhelm you where it affects your interaction with the public-residents. Patrice, also Front Desk Rep is wonderful. Very patient, understanding, helpful. Listened even when phone rang she politely asked if I could wait just a moment. Absolutely. She was very patient with person on phone. She has excellent people skills. Very professional with element of empathy for those fleeing their homes and jobs during this very severe Hurricane. Her tone has sympathy, kindness and expresses it fluently. Her patience and not getting flustered is a huge benefit to the owners of this hotel and BW Corporation. Last thing people need is dealing with impatient person. The owners, Dave and his lovely wife whom I can't remember how to spell her name but when I find out I'll come back in and revise to reflect her as well. They clearly work very well together in operating a very nice, clean, professional and very customer service oriented business which to those who reserve and stay the room(s) are their temporary home(s). They treat you like neighbors, friends. Welcome you with smiles. They work with you and genuinely appreciate their customers. They understand the old saying "if you don't take care of your customers-residents, someone else will". They made our stay very pleasant, stress free and their empathy also so appreciated. The property has been rehabbed. Rooms updated incl the lobby and Dining Area. Our Room #302 smelled clean and pleasant. Faces Hwy 20 NE, not I-75 so quieter. There is an elevator. The Cleaning staff also very pleasant helpful and professional. It is truly a lovely smaller BW that when I come back up this way, I will be sure to stay again. The HOT FULL Breakfast incl the Sausage Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Thick Belgium Waffles, Fruit, Yogurt, Bagels, Toast, Danish, Sausage, Juice and great Coffee is included in your stay. DELICIOUS!!!!!! Coffee also available all day. So this Best Western Allatoona Inn & Suites (aka BW Garden & Inn) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You won't be disappointed. Room also very clean. If an issue, I'm confident let mmgt know and they will assist you to resolve it. But it's a stay I will brag about to everyone in FL and friends around the country who travel thru here to FL. Thank you for a lovely stay, place of refugee from wrath of Hurricane Irma and for a BW my dad could try and rest thru all the worries and his health. God bless you!!!
Rooms are not clean, toilet was not flushing and was overflowing. Beds are not comfortable. For the price we paid, we could have got a Holiday Inn! Does not deserve a 2.5 star! This place needs major renovations.
Please look at previous page comment. EXCELLENT!! Very caring, professional, particularly clean, neat and orderly. DID NOT PRICE GOUGE during IRMA. And, I am sure they could have sold the room multiple times before we arrived around 1:00 - 2:00 a.m.
We stayed here, on our way to Florida to attend a wedding. The location is hard to find, with it being nestled in by a gas station, but the grounds and the whole building are spotless and well maintained. Kudos to the owners. Other than a small snag checking in, our stay was perfect. Housekeeping did a terrific job, and the owners are super friendly and eager to ensure a good stay. We would reccomend this location .
Hotel staff was very friendly and eager to help. Property was clean and kept nice. Very well maintained landscaping! Pool was down already, but it was Labor day weekend. The hotel was full at check in, so all they had available was a smoking suite. Not being a smoker, it stunk. I also noticed something pretty nasty looking on the headboard. Besides that, everything was great and clean. It was nice to have a hot breakfast. Everything seemed to be newly remodeled and painted. Not a bad location. Just minutes away from downtown. Cracker Barrel is right down the road and a gas station is in walking distance. I will stay again if I'm ever back in the area!
Last minute decision to attend a tournament and not only did we find availability but a suite large enough for our family (5 mbrs) and accompanying luggage. Our only complaint is the exterior doors, which we missed when we reviewed the pictures before booking. Nice quiet area with quick access to the interstate, food, and hospital. If we're in the area again this will be our hotel of choice.
Not big on hotels with external facing room doors, but this was a nice experience. The price and location were almost perfect when booking for a holiday/football weekend. No complaints from us. We were able to reserve a large suite which accommodated my family of 5 easily. Also of note is the early hours for the provided breakfast on the weekend.
I have always tried to stay at a Best Western Hotel when we are on the road......I have never had a problem with any of these hotels...the service is excellent, the rooms are always clean and I love the breakfast that they give you. The beds and pillows are great for getting a good nights sleep!!! We enjoyed the pillows so much we actually bought six of them !!! I would always recommend Best Western to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel that gives you exceptional service and comfort !
We stopped in for an overnight...beds were comfortable, room was clean and spacious, and in the morning the free breakfast was very tasty. We had zero complaints and would definitely stay here again. We checked reviews before booking and there were some mentions of highway noise (not surprising since it's near I-75) but we didn't hear a thing.
Husband stayed here last year when he went North on a motorcycle trip and was very impressed. This year, we were going to try to get further along on the trip and I suggested we stop here. He thought we could get more miles in but then changed his mind as he knew it would be a great place to stay. I was excited to get to stay here this year. Was not disappointed. Was as good as he said.
We stayed overnight at Allatoona Inn & Suites with 2 rooms on a fam trip. We were so pleased with the cleanliness of this property that I went back in to thank the manager, Dave Patel, the morning of check out. We thoroughly examine everything prior to ccupying rooms because of frequent uncleanliness found at other locations over the past few years. This cleaning crew did fantastic prior to our arrival!! That really means a lot to us after traveling all day, and putting our kids into rooms. The additional care given to the exterior landscaping was a pleasant confirmation as well. Breakfast had all kinds of options and fully stocked up even until closing time. It's obvious this crew cares about what they are doing. Location was perfect right off I-75 too.
This hotel is basic, but the customer service is excellent, very friendly staff. It's clean and comfortable! The rooms were also a nice size - some extra floor space. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again!
Our stay at this hotel took place during a recent trip to Mount Rushmore from Fort Lauderdale with my elderly parents (88 and 89) When we arrived at the hotel, no one was present. There was no sign indicating when someone would return. By the time the clerk came back from getting his dinner there were three parties waiting. This was approximately 9 PM. They did not have our reservation even though we had reserved in November. He found our reservation and we settled my parents and finally us. My parents needed a handicapped accessible room. This room was barely accessible. There was barely room for my father's motorized scooter. The shower had a bench but it was not low enough and my father had problems getting in. The room was basically clean, but it was a little shabby.and there were pockets in the bathroom that were not as clean as it should be. Breakfast was adequate. The waffles were good.
This is one of the best I have stayed at in the past few years. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, everything in working order. Location is close to the interstate but I do not hear any noise inside the room.
Well maintained property. Nicely located and quite busy. Best quick and efficient check-in I've gone through. The room smelled great, it was very clean and the AC unit worked perfectly. They have natural body wash, shampoo and conditioner products in the bathroom. The bed was high and comfortable, as were the pillows. The TV, cable and Wi-Fi were great...no issues. Plenty of parking and breakfast was great as well. We stayed in a room towards the front, 1st floor. Very nice place to stay at.
Mr. Patel needs to hire more employees to manage the hotel properly. The bed was old and you could feel the box springs. The room was not adequately cleaned daily. The toilet bowl had a poop stain on it at arrival which tool two days to address.
My husband and I are near the end of a 7 week motorcycle trip across the country. Due to our many stays at Best Westerns I received a $60 coupon in my email. Patrice at the front desk was unable to redeem it at first after several different efforts and I decided to sort it on in the morning. About an hour later Patrice called to say she figured how to have the Best Western system accept it and she issued the appropriate credit. The management staff is fortunate to have an employee who will go over and above. It is rare to find someone as helpful and diligent as she.
Very clean room, comfortable king size bed. Courteous and helpful front desk. Breakfast incudes scrambled eggs, link sausages, gravy, biscuits, waffles, dry cereal. Easy on, easy off I-75 Atlanta to Chattanooga.
Steve Breeden, Guest Services, at Best Western Allatoona Inn and Suites was our hero. On a recent trip we were on a 12 hour road trip. 3 hours oh sitting in Atlanta traffic. Last pet friendly room had just been rented. We were on the parking lot looking for another but as usual there was too much info on the net. We were on the parking lot looking for another when Steve can out he had rearranged another reservation and had a room for us. That was real compassion. Thank you from an exhausted family. You're the best!
Property appears to be recently updated. Very spacious and nice rooms. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good and hot although not as many offerings as some other Best Westerns I've visited recently (no meats). Convenient to our event. No complaints at all, will definitely choose again when I'm in the area.
On our way to Florida, we had to book a night halfway through our trip. We usually make the stop south of Atlanta, but we were just not up to driving through Atlanta at 7 pm on a Friday night, so we located two rooms here at a good value. It is apparent that the ownership is maintaining the property well, well landscaped and overall clean. At check-in the desk clerk was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. There is a gas station next door that my daughter and her friend walked over to get ice cream. There are plenty of restaurants to pick up food or sit down and eat at. As far as the rooms, our King room was perfect. The girls noted some smoke odor in their non-smoking doubles room upon arrival but we did not feel that we needed to request a different room prior to going to sleep. Upon wake up the girls became more aware of the smell, it is my fault for not requesting another room right away as I am sure the management would have obliged. We reported the smell the next morning. I would recommend this as a good stopover for those traveling. I did see that the price swings quite a bit on the rooms as we did not choose to stay here on the way back due to the higher pricing the following weekend. Just another note, the rooms we stayed in were in the front of the Inn and were quiet. We had walked out to the back of the Inn to see the pool and there is some noise from the highway behind the Inn. I do not know how that impacts the back rooms but our rooms were quiet.
Well maintained exterior and interior- rooms clean and quite For those travelers not likely exterior corridors - this would not fit your need- Whoever everything else is great. They will confirm room preference during check in Breakfast is Hot- Internet was fast Great stay- would defiantly book again
This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly. It's located in a great area with restaurants and some shopping close by. The noise from the highway was minimal. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area.
My family and I stayed here for one night on our way down 75. It was convenient to the highway, though the layout of the parking lot was different - we had to go through the gas station next door to get to the hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean. Our room had one king size bed and one queen size so it was larger than most hotels. The breakfast was a standard hotel continental breakfast and the area was clean and had plenty of seating. I would stay here again if ever in the area.
Clean, friendly, and convenient! My only two complaints are that it's not conducive to trailer parking (but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us) and the mini fridge was super loud in the room.
Nice hotel, clean, easy check in & out, pool small but served purpose, breakfast was good sausage, eggs biscuits gravy, liked shower soap dispenser idea but came off wall couple times, overall good experience would stay again
Everything went well got a sale price on the room which was clean breakfast was great. Def recommend quite area no highway noise. Gas station next door is walking distance from where you park your car. Nice stop surrounded by the mountains.. would stay again
I've stayed here many times through the years. The owner & staff are always pleasant & helpful. The room has always been clean & comfortable. Breakfast never disappointed, in fact, better than most. I'll stay here every time I'm in the area, & the price is right.
Our room was clean, spacious, internet service was good, price was affordable, accepted AARP, front staff were very polite. Easy access from the interstate and breakfast was hot and a good selection of hot and cold foods.. Would definitely stay there again on our travels thru there.
We stayed at this hotel from May 20th till May 25th in room 208. We always ask for a quiet room when we make the reservation. At the check in we asked if it was a quiet room. The response was: I do not know, the manager determines the rooms. At the front of this hotel you have the Highway 20 and at the back the I-75. We got a room in between. Be aware you will hear the noise of the traffic. The hot items are every day the same. We asked if they could present bacon instead off sausages, they told us they will serve every day the same. So way put a sign on the desk that if something is not up to your expectations they will try to fulfill them, if you already know that you will not do so? The corridors are not regularly cleaned. 3 out of 5 days the pecan shells were not removed, nor the cigarette tips.
This hotel was awful. We received a complaint from front desk within 5 minutes of being there. We were told a guest had complained about children running. It was 7 pm and our room was above the front desk, not another guests room. So the only person who could complain was actually staff. The hotel has outdoor access to rooms only, which is extremely disappointing and wasn't noted anywhere when we booked. The breakfast options were unappealing and there was very little to choose from. We would have been better off going to a McDonalds.
Accommodations were nice, but watch out if you are pulling a trailer. Because of the location of the hotel, the entrance and parking don't allow for much room. They do have signs posted to keep people from getting stuck in the parking lot.
This is a great place to stay with one exception. The fitted bottom sheet on the kink beds does not always fit. It comes loose during the night which means you either live with it or get up and try to fix, which does not work. If you can get past the sheet, this is a fine place to stay.
Spent one night, location is very convenient to highway, but not too noisy. Pleasant staff. Nice room About 2 miles from restaurants. 3 story building, with elevator. Room on ground floor had sitting table with 2 chairs and king bed as requested. Apparently upper floors have a couch instead. of chairs.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. 3 main issues. 1. Smoke smell in non smoking Room 2. Dog Urine smell in room 3. Dried Urine on the toilet seat. Actually check right out of this hotel and drove to Atlanta for a better room.
Putting lipstick on a pig.....that all I have to say really. Would never stay here again. Way overpriced!!!. Bathrooms were gross and you have to drive through a gas station to get to the hotel. I would say you get what you pay for, but not here. Even though they may have recently made an attempt to improve the place with room remodels, the place is still a dump. Like I said.....lipstick on a pig.
Was tired and stopped for an overnite. Stayed here last year and were not going back cause of the traffic noise. But we ended up at the same place and asked for a room in the front. That made a huge difference. Not a great location. Check in and lobby/breakfast area was nice. The room was not super clean and stairwells and corridors had cig buts and empty chip bags. If that doesn't bother you than don't worry about it . Not up to par compared to the many other BW we have stayed at. The bed fitted sheets would nit stay in place, which made for a not too comfortable sleep. The shampoo dispenser was empty, which you find out when you are in the shower. Breakfast was average. We have stayed at many others with better value for your dollars. In my opinion it is just below average.
We stayed here for a youth baseball event. Easy access to Lake Pointe Sports Complex. Room satisfied our needs for sleep, shower, and breakfast. Our youngest was a little disappointed that the pool wasn't opened yet but it must not have been warm enough yet.
This location is perfect for baseball weekend out of town. Great location to all fields in the area. If your looking for a great location to food, fields its the perfect spot ! Room was clean, beds were comfortable!
This stay was on the way home and a great place to stay for awhile !! We will definitely stop again ! Close to the interstate it is an easy off, easy on access ... ! Great restaurants in the area too make it a Bonus Stop !
It was late, and my husband and I were on our way back from vacationing in Fort Myers,FL. After more than 8 hours of drive, we decided to stop for the night. We didn't have much money left on us,so we were looking for something less than $100. We saw the Best Western billboard, and decided to try there. It was a little more than what we were expecting, but we paid it anyways. It could've been better if prices were more reasonable.
Good location just off the expressway. The room was tired and the bedspread had a hole in it. The internet was slow. The front desk person did give us a great place for dinner, that was so good! The Original Steak & Rib House was excellent!
Room was clean and comfortable. The furniture was updated and nicely decorated.the staff was friendly and nice. Good food selections for breakfast.Food was hot and tasty.Kitchen area was clean and well stocked.
Selected this BW based on location off I-75 and the corporate rate I was getting. Room was clean and obviously renovated. There were a lot of outlets available (although one was based on the main light switch - glad I caught that). The breakfast was a big disappointment. Biscuits were cold. Gravy was lacking flavor. Egg patties were average. We were better off getting breakfast elsewhere. I would stay again if driving through the area, but I would not stay for breakfast.
This motel is a nice location to stop for a night. A little difficult to find where to turn into parking lot coming from Hwy 75 but worth it. Goot places to eat not far from motel. Breakfast has toppings for waffles.
My company opened an office here 3 years ago. I've been staying here Monday thru Friday or Saturday almost every week. Good owners and staff. Love the Directv along with the big tv's. Hope everyone enjoys their stay
Great stopping point after making it through Atlanta traffic on route 75. Bed was very comfortable and room clean, very basic. Continental breakfast was nothing to brag about but a good place to grab a coffee and a quick bite.
This location is just north of Atlanta, GA which is a great stopping location coming up from Florida after fighting through the big city traffic. It's conveniently located right off the I75 freeway. This hotel has been recently remodeled and the lobby, bkfst area and rooms are all new. The reception clerk was over the top friendly and helpful in everything including dining options. Wi-Fi worked great and the room was surprisingly quiet. This will definitely stay on our list of favorites.
Room was very clean, and the clerk was very friendly and informative. We had a rear room with the interstate somewhat close but just slightly noisy. Beds were very comfortable and the overall room was clean. Staff was very informative and friendly. Only drawback was the entrance thru a gas station
We rolled in late due to an accident on I-75. The staff checked us in quickly and efficiently, and we got settled in. I had to check in with work for messages, and the internet worked just fine. Our room was quiet and clean, and sleep came easily. The next morning we had waffles and rolls - the area is nicely done - and continued our journey. Note: If you get there after dark, you have to turn in at the gas station to get to the motel, but no biggie.
Room was basic but clean. They have signs saying in you want to reuse towels to hang them up. In spite of doing this, the towels were replaced each day. The free breakfast was okay. I would stay at this property again in the future.
Coming home from a trip, the GA visitor center announced there were no rooms from Atlanta to Florida so we found this BW. It was very nice. The manager was plesent. The room was clean, TV very good, beds were clean and comfy. For one night, it was great.
Pulled off I-75 after a day of driving, not expecting much -- but what a pleasant surprise! The pet-friendly rooms were updated, quiet, clean and comfortable (we loved the large TV and sanitized remote control!), and the desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!
loved our stay we were pleased the hotel was so nice ! it was exactly what our family needed ! good breakfast, choices, nice easy access to main street and very close to Altoona ! we will choose this hotel every time the offer is avalible!
Pulled off I-75 after a long day of driving, just looking for a place to rest our heads. What we found was an extremely friendly and helpful staff! We caught them as they were changing shifts, but they still went out of their way to accommodate myself and my wife. They engaged us in friendly conversation, made sure our needs were met, and settled us in a great room! They are also military friendly, I would definitely stay here again.
Picked this one off of reviews and so glad we did. First the basics: Super clean! Jim, the desk person, was so excited about the renovations they had completed that he gave us a mini-tour of the common areas after check-in. I asked if the hotel had just been built, he said, "It's sixteen years old!" Total surprise to be because it looked new. Bed very comfortable. Although it was right off the highway had no issues with noise. Room was larger than I expected with plenty of extra lounging area. This will go on our "stay again" list.
staying in a Best Western in Cartersville , Ga. A very clean room and property, front desk clerk ,Jim was very hospitable and polite, also a do friendly I have stayed at a lot of BW across the country and they are always very good motels for a good price
Good place to stay. Room was very clean and recently refurbished. The bathroom was excellent. Bed was comfortable and staff very friendly. Free breakfast was good too. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, of course cereal, rolls, etc. I would stay again.
Was robbed because of poor door operation, enough said. Older facility. Breakfast and lobby areas are small. Staff was indifferent about questions I had. The one that was there when we were trying to check out but couldn't because we were robbed was very nice and helpful. Even if hadn't been robbed, would very likely not stay there again in the future.
After a long day we needed this hilarious desk clerk's humour! Oh, and the Hotel was great too! I only wish that they had hot breakfast that was NOT microwaved! Other than they, it was great! A rated We will definitely stay there again!
I spent the weekend at this hotel so I could play in a roller derby tournament. I needed someplace cheap, convenient, ssfe, and clean. This place fits the bill! No frills, but the service is great, and all my other criteria were met quite nicely. I will definitely stay there again!
When I come back to Cartersville, GA I plan on staying here again. The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The rooms were very reasonable and the breakfast was good.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times traveling to and from Florida. We find the staff excellent, the rooms clean and inviting. The hotel is right off the Interstate and has a number of locations around it to eat.. We prefer the Chinese Restaurant in the Walmart Plaza right down the road.
We stayed there on vacation travel. Hotel is convenient to the interstate and close to gas stations and fast food restaurants. The hotel was freshly painted, the rooms updated, and overall looked well maintained. Noise was not an issue even though our room was on the front of the hotel. The breakfast area was somewhat small but nicely renovated, very nice looking. Our room did have a small table in it which was quite wobbly due to loose legs. I advised the hotel staff about it the next morning and they advised they would take care of it. Overall our experience with the hotel is indeed positive and we would stay there again.
The hotel was off the interstate, about 1/2 mile, which was perfect! Nice and quiet. Restaurants were near by. Gas station next door. The hotel room was clean & nice. The breakfast was good too. The outdoor pool could use a little help. But my teenager was entertained by the desk clerk, Jim Ellington! Very helpful & knowledgable of the area! Good sense of humor too. Thanks Mr. Ellington!
We had a great stay and really great service from Jim at the front desk, both when I booked the room and when we checked in. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the hot breakfast was very good also.
This facility is everything you need during travel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The maintenance of rooms is excellent. There are several places close by to eat, Cracker Barrel, Shoney's and of course, the breakfast provided by the facility. The stop is refreshing on a long trip !
very disappointing with ready to bath...and the shower did not work. Water would not come out of the shower head. There was no offer to repair or to discount my stay. My primary purpose was to have a place to shower and refresh...and i could not take a shower. Certainly affects my comments.
The room and hotel was clean and comfortable. The best thing was the bed. Very comfortable. The worst would be the taxes and fees tacked on the bill. 67 dollars for one night ended up being over 80. That and the coffee makers in the room are kind of cheap.
We (3) checked in late one night on way to Florida. Requested 2 queen beds and Jim Ellington searched until he found us one. He was so pleasant to work with and very informative about discounts. This ended up being one of the lowest priced rooms on our entire trip and cleanest!! Most importantly he was the friendliest and that really makes a person feel welcome. We did stay at another best western later in our trip that had the same cleanliness, I can't say that for the other rooms we had.
I checked my bill, there was a 50% tax rate on the bill. I complained to the front desk person, the front desk person did't care. The hotel was off I75. A 50% tax on a hotel room off the interstate is Highway Robbery! Try to avoid staying in Georgia, Florida is much better!
My wife and I stayed here on August 18th 19th and 20th we got here around midnight. The night desk clerk was extremely nice gave us a room away from the interstate. The room is extremely clean the bed is very comfortable they have smoking and non-smoking rooms. IHOP breakfast with sausage gravy eggs biscuits cereal waffles everything was in good Supply. Room was really clean the only negative thing that I've really found was the towels are a little rough maybe they need a little fabric softener the staff is good if you decide to stay here and you're a military veteran or current active duty remember to ask for that or AARP you get the same discount. Nice place to stay I would recommend it to anybody.
I have stayed at this BW for several years going to and from Florida. Always a great experience and no hassles. The rooms are clean and fresh. When I travel alone, I am always confident of safety. Great breakfast too.
I would choose it again, if necessary for that area. I feel that the price was a great deal for the comparison in close vicinity. I feel it was a standard price given that it is more of a motel than a hotel.
We stayed only one night but will be back! Jim at the front desk was fabulous to us! Great rates and extra info from Jim about things to do. Beds were extremely comfy and the rooms (we rented 2) were very clean and had everything we needed.
I would stay here again. Check in staff was very friendly and the price on hotels.com was good. We just slept here while traveling, but we were happy with it. The breakfast was good. Keeping items fresh and filled for breakfast was a little bit on an issue.
My stay at Cartersville, GA was very pleasant. It is located with easy on and off I75. There was a gas station right next door and a fast food restaurant within walking distance. Location was very quite.
This hotel is very nice. The outside has been updated as well as the inside. It has the older outside....exterior doors to your room, but it has had a facelift and it looks great. They had a free breakfast, but we didn't get to try it because we left really early the next morning. The room was very clean and had nice decor.
While family was in town we have them our house/bed and we stayed at the local BW Inn. This hotel is right off the highway at exit 290 off Hwy 75. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds more than adequate. The front desk service was fast and friendly with a smile. We had a short stay but it was lovely. Should you have the need for long or a short stay I would recommend the BW of Cartersville. Just keep in mind the main and only driveway to the hotel is through the gas station next door. If you are pulling in at night the entrance may be a little difficult to notice. Once you pull into the gas station make a left and you will drive straight into the hotel parking lot. This is a in/out parking area. There is no pull around.
Very Clean this is very important to us when we travel well kept inside and outside a little older but well kept so that didn't matter. Also quite close to anything you might need as far going to dinner or to Wal Mart
Originally reserved 2 queen beds but due to error only had a queen and sofa available..for the cost you could stay somewhere twice as nice for a little more. Definitely not worth what we paid. We had 4 people staying in the room, two towels, and soap/shampoo dispensers were empty. I had to track down housekeeping to get extra towels.
Wonderful stay here at Best Western! Friendly staff, clean rooms and a wonderful FREE breakfast!!! Will stay here again for sure. Pool, wifi, and location are great! Stay here for a few days while playing in a softball tournament. Can't say enough good things about the staff
I stayed here twice and will continue to stay here on my travels to and from Florida to the Midwest. It's perfectly located off the Interstate, has a great pool. The complementary breakfast is more than anyone else I have seen. The showers face a body soap and conditioning shampoo dispenser that is much better than the normal bottles and bars of soap. A nice touch.
After staying at BW Inns and Suites many times, I was concerned there might not be anything new to review. Boy, was I wrong! This place has been totally remodeled, both the guest rooms and suites over the last two years. But now the outside of the Lobby has a stacked brick facade. Step inside and the Lobby has been streamlined and updated. To the right, in the old Breakfast Area, are comfy chairs and a large screen tv, just a quiet place to visit or wait. The BIG change is the NEW Breakfast Room. The owner has moved off the premises, and his former apartment has yielded a big, beautiful space. The new Breakfast Room's modern decor is still warm and inviting. The wavy metal backsplash is interesting and all the tile work is the very latest fashion. Also, there are more toppings for cereal or waffles, seats at two levels adds variety, and the service by Mrs. Patel is full of southern charm, by way of Asia. See it and enjoy it, and see if you agree: this place gets bigger and better all the time.
This is a very nice motel in a great location with dining and the interstate and highways near. The staff was very helpful and friendly -- great to have that after a day on the road. The motel was clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. We did not use the pool or exercise room, but they both looked nice.
i was surprised the cost was so much and also the mold on the bagels grossed me out at breakfast. I was too tired to check out the Motel 6 that was next door. I am going to stay at Best Western again in the future but not likely to stay again at this particular one.
We were surprised by the modern update and amenities. Lovely lobby and very friendly staff! Room was clean and welcome after a day on the road. Gorgeous countertops, sanitized remote control, humongous television, and comfortable beds put this one on a list that we will reference the next trip we take cross country.
We stayed at this hotel on a trip to visit family in Colorado. We arrived around 2am and the front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating which was great since we were all exhausted! The rooms were clean and comfortable. In the morning the staff (I believe the owners) were very kind and even kept breakfast open a little later so my teenagers could eat before we left. I would definitely stay here again.
Very convenient location. Breakfast is included. Location is easy to find. Beds are a little too soft. Very clean and nice courteous staff. There are many sites in the area and a close location to I-75 if just passing through.
After a long drive from Canada, and coming to Georgia for the first time, this was a great hotel to stay in. Comfortable beds, convenient location and Jim the desk clerk was so helpful with his knowledge of the area and recommendations. If I get back to Georgia, I will definitely return to this hotel.
Everything was very useful. Washer was downstairs...near the elevator. You could tell the hotel was made with a clients convenience not done cheaply. The front desk person was very helpful with nine years experience.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. Stay near Atlanta Ga, always makes me nervous, This hotel was right off the Highway, several fast foods places close by, even though they were close to the highway I did not hear highway traffic in my room. i will stay here again.
We were in town for a wedding. We were with a group of family members. We stayed here because we needed multiple rooms at a reasonable price. The only downside my wife mentioned was that the doors open to the outside instead of the inside. You could see cameras on each floor and at the elevator and all around the property so you felt safe. The breakfast was nice and the hotel was clean.
Great motel! We have stayed at the locatin several times through the years and love the upgrades made recently to the breakfast area. Delicious hot breakfast was very convenient. Courteous, friendly staff!
The Inn is old, but obviously being slowly upgraded. Very nice staff. No safes in room, sofa and chair were uncomfortable. Breakfast was average, but needed some temperature help. WiFi was excellent! It seems to be undergoing renovation so hopefully it will be better next time we visit the area. It was very convenient to the family we were visiting.
Was great. Nice place to rest and play. People were helpful and room was great. Pool was nice and dinner was great. Parking lot was well lit and plenty of spots close to entrance. Coffee was great. Shower had good pressure and was clean.
I would recommend staying at BEST WESTERN Garden Inn & Suites, Cartersville, GEORGIA for their quality of service. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Just stayed there May 2016 and their facility has been re-decorated very nicely.
We were very happy with the service and the room. The room was clean, the furnishing nice. The continental breakfast was excellent in that there was a wonderful assortment fruits, cereals, bread, and waffles available. I arrived with a large group and there was ample space to accommodate all of us and plenty of food for all involved. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
This Hotel reminded me of a MOTEL 6. Book online at BW.com because the front desk clerk will try to charge you more than double the online price. Get a room in the front because the back is about 50 ft from the interstate. You will hear ALL the traffic.
I stay here weekly on business and have never had any negative experiences. A great, staff and very friendly. Nice spread in the new breakfast area, and updated lobby. It is close to the Interstate but I am not bothered with traffic noise.
My husband were on our way to Gatlinburg from Tampa/Clearwater area. It had been a long drive and we needed a place to sleep. It was after 11 pm. The front desk clerk was very friendly and set us up for the night. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Thank you for a good night sleep!
The hotel is being remodeled and the rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast was very nice , everything there you needed to get the day started. The manager is just great. If you needed anything, they were there in a few minutes to correct the problem. I would recommend this place for everyone,
Was able to book into this this hotel without making a reservation. Breakfast is much better than other hotels we have stayed at. Fast food options are within walking distance. Gas available without having to go back onto main highway.
Stopped for the night on the way to KC. Was what you might expect for an exit ramp stay. Comfortable place to sleep with a fridge and microwave. They did accommodate a last minute check in and request for ground floor. Was a little concerned about all of the males in the front looking in the van (containing my wife and kids) while I was checking in. Staff was friendly.
1st off.. Reception area has been updated but is very minimalist and not very inviting for my taste... Breakfast area updated and screams "Clean" HOWEVER THE RESTROOM IS RIGHT THERE IN THE BREAKFASTROOM.. Uck!!! Now to the rest. Room seemed clean but the laminated TV guide had bugs in it.what does that say??/ Bed was hard... Pillows were lumpy like they had been washed once too often.... As far as amenities goes, a little bar of soap.. they had two dispensers attached to wall by sink, one for soap and one for lotion... If you wanted to wash you hair you had to 1) use the bar of soap 2) get out of shower after getting wet and get a handful of liquid soap,3) bring your own shampoo.... Will give them that the mouthwash was a nice touch. Back to breakfast.. Travel companion is dairy and egg intolerant and has a glutten allergy and we requested soy milk be available when making our reservation. In the morning we asked and desk/breakfast person claimed they didn't know anything about request. We know they had to have known because the night before they claimed our room request was unavailable. Front desk clerk was also serving as the breakfast attendant. Will not stay here ever again!
Don't let the exterior of the hotel fool you; the rooms are very clean, beds are comfy, and the decor seems to have been renovated. The breakfast area was very nice and clean and the waffles were delicious :)
Have stayed at several Best Western and gave the best review possible. Stayed at this location 3 years ago and it was awesome. This time however will be my last. I had to clean the toilet before I'd use it. Dust so thick it fell to the floor in fluffy and it wasn't due to construction. Don't think it was dusted in weeks. The mirrors were filthy. The hot breakfast was powdered eggs and can sausage gravy and had to cut the biscuit with a knife. Ended up not eating it. One of the wash cloths had several holes in it. Not giving up on Best Western at all but will never stay at this one again. And I have to say all the others have a wonderful actually cooked , real food breakfast. It DID have clean sheets and after the batteries were replaced a working thermostat.
Looks old from the outside. Rooms have been recently remodeled with new furnishings. The first impression when looking at the outward appearance is "what have I gotten myself into?" The surprise is when you open the door to the room. Nicely remodeled and with new furnishings, and it appears to be a work in progress for the lobby and the outside.
This hotel is right off I-75, which is very convenient. We had a suite with a king sized bed and sitting area, one big room. Next time I would ask for another bath towel as only two were supplied. If you need an extra one for your hair, you would be out of luck. The staff were friendly.
First time staying at Best Western, and I could not be happier. The staff was nice and helpful. The overall decor of hotel was fresh and hip. More than I expected going in, I will be staying there again.
Looks a little long in the tooth when you pull up- Like one of those old Holiday Inns built in the 50s and 60s. But the rooms have been remodeled. Very clean, bright, and airy. New TVs. Overall excellent value for the price. Perfect for an overnight stay after a long day on the road. Breakfast is ok. What you would expect for the price range. Will definitely stay there again if the opportunity presents itself.
Room was large and was very clean, seemed recently updated with clean new carpeting and sofa. Clean bathroom. Comfy bed and pillows. Staff seemed nice. Was conveniently located near 75 for those who are travelling.
Very impressed with the room and staff. Hotel is currently undergoing a full renovation ~ access was easy from the Expressway (I-75) and the renovated room we were given was excellent, clean comfortable, completely updated!
The hotel was ok. It is definitely an older hotel but they are working on it. The staff is very friendly and work hard to make your stay a good one. My room was missing a hair dryer and they sent someone out to buy me a brand new one!
nice hotel, good staff and view from balcony vey nice!! enjyed our stay, and plan on going again next year. Fishing on property in river. Nice!! Restaurant was excellent! Great location!! Would reccomend it!!
We were very happy with our stay at this hotel in GA. It was just as good or better than most and a lot cheaper than some we had stayed at in past. The rooms were very clean and had a lot of amenities in the room. The breakfast was very good and had a good variety of items.
We are loyal BW fans and appreciate seeing remodeling for improvements! The odd entrance, via the neighboring Chevron station lot, was interesting, especially at night, but signs and yellow paint helped us to see our way! The staff were all very nice, breakfast included sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and biscuits and quite a delicious coffee! Thanks BW for the in-progress upgrading of this facility!
Not sure if hotel was newer or remodeled. Either way the rooms were very nice. Very clean! Its the first time I've been in a room with a wall thermostat and able to control temp so easy. Soap and shampoo dispensers built into shower! No tiny bottles. Staff was very nice and helpful.
I can understand issues with construction. I can not say something bad about the construction because I feel that they are making an improvement. My issue is that I had a "pet friendly" room. As soon as I entered I went down and asked for a different room, the fecal smell was quite obvious. As I said I can understand dust and debris from construction however the elevator looked like they clean it once a month. It smelled like I was visiting a smoking bar. There were stains on the doors and floor.
The Hotel and room were very clean. They were remodeling the Lobby / Breakfast area, which looked good. It was very difficult to sleep due to the traffic on the Interstate. They need a noise wall installed to reduce the noise in the rooms.
Second time here and still feel this is the best buy around. Remodeling lobby but it was no problem. Very clean and friendly. I found the beds to be so comfortable that you are almost asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow. Another nice feature in the room is a microwave and mini fridge. Elevators a plus for us old geezers.
Second time staying at a Best Western property. First time was better than this time (that was in Poole, GA). The wifi is poor. Disconnects every 5 minutes and I'd have to keep turning my wifi off & on. The lady at the front desk was not welcoming at all. Only good thing about this stay is that the bed is comfortable.
We live in Texas, but Cartersville, Georgia, is home. We make 2-3 trips home a year, and stay at the Best Western Inn and Suites every time. We almost always stay in one of the rooms on the front, or in the king size suites. This trip last week, we had made last minute plans and ended up taking the last non-smoking room available, room 112 on the back side. The back side features the swimming pool, a flower bed of beautiful roses, camellias, and other pretty things, and a small dog walk. The back side also is the nearest to I-75, which can get very noisy early in the morning and the evening. Our room was decorated the same as the others and had a very comfortable bed, a pretty big bathroom, and easily adjusted heat. The carpet, bed and bathroom were very clean. The cleaning staff catered to our specific needs--we like the room cleaned every other day instead of every day. We just get the trash emptied and get dry towels. Two problems--we never did get wifi in the room, although Dave, the owner, and other staff checked everything from the server to our room. It was probably something in my own settings, but I never figured out why. In the meantime, we used 90% of our monthly data plan. We have always gotten excellent service in all the other times we stayed. The other problem was highway noise, which turned out to be a non-problem. After about half an hour the first evening, we got used to it, just like at home when we got used to the nearby fire trucks leaving on a run. The TV was on, and we had no problem having conversations in the room. The breakfast was delicious, as always, featuring real scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, and fresh waffles. Cereals, muffins, sweet rolls, toast, bagels, with all kinds of extras, and yogurt, bananas, instant oatmeal and grits, good coffee and cocoa, liquid and powdered creamers, and maybe more. When we go to Cartersville again, in late December, we will stay again at Best Western Inn and Suites, the best motel around.
The room was just what we needed after 13 hours in a car. The bed was very comfy. The sleeper sofa could use a better, thicker mattress. Breakfast was the usual but enough to get us started in the morning. Will stay again when traveling to Florida.
While the room was great and the bed was amazing, my husband and I both got extremely sick after having breakfast there on Thanksgiving morning. This ultimately ruined our plans for lunch with our family as we were too sick to attend. The lady at the front desk that morning was very rude to my husband as well. I would recommend for just a stay but do not eat the breakfast.
This property was recently refurbished. Nothing was left to chance. They provide liquid moisturizing soap at the sink, body wash and conditioned hair shampoo. The flay screen TX is large with a great picture. The internet speed is the fastest wee have experienced in our many stays while on the road. The staff is very helpful as well. All in all, you cannot go wrong staying here.
In traveling on vacation and needing a room, I stopped at an Best Western Garden Inn and Suites in Cartersville GA. it was unscheduled and needed a room that would accommodate 3 adults. I stopped originally because of its location right next to a gas station and several fast dining places. after checking in, the room was spacious and very clean and the beds were of nice size which accommodated my family well as we are all tall. the room was very clean and all the items such as TV and Direct TV service worked fine. the breakfast was of good quality and plenty of it. it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have eaten in a hotel. overall the stay was enjoyable and very comfortable. checking in and out was quick and easy and I would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay.
We like Best Western hotels because they are comfortable, affordable, and they have free breakfast and free WiFi. We travel between Michigan and Florida four times a year and we like to stop either side of Atlanta Georgia. This hotel meets our needs on our way north.
Me and my family stayed here one night on our way to florida and It was a good stay. It was clean and looked maintained. It was a good price too. The staff was generous and helpful. The breakfast was a little lack luster. Just a normal small free hotel breakfast. Had soap, body wash, shampoo, lotion dispensers in the bathroom.
We checked in late and it was a great place to stay. Rooms were clean and newly updated. Great shower. Bed was awesome. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to Interstate but not first Hotel you see. Close to food and gas. Outdoor pool and hallways. Has an elevator.
Stayed one night here to avoid the high prices in the mountains in October. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and good TV. Breakfast was decent, the staff were all very nice. Ask for a room on the side away from the highway, it's much quieter. Several restaurants nearby on that exit.
We stopped at this hotel, and we where surprisingly pleased. The rooms where very clean, and actually cleaner than nicer star hotels we have stayed at. I am really picky about how clean a room is, and I felt very comfortable with my kids here. The staff was really friendly, and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again.
I called from about 4 hours away on the road, was told there wasn't a non-smoking room for a 3 day stay. I took a smoking room to have a room. The woman on the phone said she'd make a note that if a non-smoking room came available to transfer my reservation. By the time I got to the motel I was booked into a non-smoking room. Included breakfast isn't expansive, but it is adequate. Scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, & toast. Its OK, but I eat different things if I go out. I added a fourth day to see more in the area, I need to change rooms on Saturday, but I'm a single guy in a double room, it's understandable, especially on the weekend.. I'd come back, friendly place staffed with cooperative people.
The hotel was clean. Breakfast was nice, standard fare. Staff was courteous and friendly. Fitness room had only a few pieces of equipment in working order. Internet reception was very spotty. We reserved a smoking room, but even as a smoker the smell in the room was bad. An exhaust fan or a ceiling fan would have been a huge improvement.
The room was nice being on the ground level floor. The breakfast was mediocre. The noise of the Interstate is a definite turn off though the convenience to the exit-entrance ramps is convenient. Any room on the opposite of the facility is 100% better than one along the Interstate unless one is hard of hearing.
Clean room. Convenient to I75. People at front desk were helpful. Good wi-fi. We were on our way up north and this was a good place to stay after getting through Atlanta. Price was reasonable and beds were comfortable.
We needed a place for the night and pulled over about midnight. We chose BW because we had just stayed at one the prior 4 nights and it was great. So was this one! The hotel offered a hot breakfast buffet that was also great and had a nice selection of both hot and cold items.
the pool is in the back parking lot, which is very weird. The pool is also quite small, but the hotel was clean and comfortable. friendly staff and decent breakfast available for free. convenient location right off the interstate on our way to Orlando.
The bedding alone is reason enough not to use this hotel again. The parking in the rear of the hotel is fine for automobiles but not commercial vehicles. Other parking should be arranged for commercial vehicles. We understand that it is impossible to enforce no smoking regulations in some cases. however, the front desk staff was rude, uncooperative and threatening to call police (several of our group were police officers we are not afraid of the police )with other members of our group who complained of smoke in non smoking room. The owner finally addressed the issue to some satisfaction.
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years, and don't even check into others available....it's that reliable with the cleanliness, service and hospitality. There are several restaurants nearby as well.
On a long trip from Michigan we stopped for the evening. Service was informative and friendly. Prices were good which included a small hot breakfast and other items to get you on the road. Older hotel but clean and the location had plenty of restaurants and fast food chains to chose from. If you wish to have a drink their is a steak and rib house about a mile away. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
