"Would stay again"

We found the staff very friendly. Have coffee 24/7 in the lobby is appreciated. The breakfast hours are longer than most. They could offer more of a variety, but did appreciate seeing both egg omelets and hard boiled eggs plus sausage each day. Room was adequate in size, beds comfortable. Having a fridge next to a bed was fine since it was super quiet! We would definitely stay there again.

I was impressed by the quality of service that I received from the very friendly staff. They were extremely accommodating and were willing to help with anything I needed. The area the hotel was located in appeared to be very safe too. Rooms were very clean as well. Hotel serves breakfast and has a cold water machine down stairs for guests.

"I'm Leaving At 3:00am Because of a Swarm of Bed Bugs!!!"

The employees have been very nice. So, it pains me to write this review. However, the owner, I'm sure is aware of the problems and costs to fix it. With all lights ON, I saw (and videoed) bed bugs. I requested two new sets of sheets, removed the old sheets and placed the pillows (which had the most activity) on the old chair. It was just to late to leave, therefore I laid across the foot of the bed. I played a movie on YouTube thinking that light and sound would scare off any bed bugs long enough for me to get some sleep. About an hour later, I was awake by a very irritating feeling. I had a hug bite on my lower back, my elbow and under my arm. The front desk did provide me with rubbing alcohol. But when I returned to the room, I began to see even more bugs on the bed and literally covering parts of the lower wall behind the bed post. Some comfort was how helpful the front desk attendant tried to help. Yet, I began taking all of my belongings back to the car, and that's where I'll sleep tonight. This hotel, in my opinion, ought to completely close down, remove every stitch of furniture / carpeting, throw away the mattresses and pillows and exterminate this place. Other hotels were booked and I was kinda desperate so I checked in here. However, had I known how terrible this place is, I would have canceled the trip.

"Only positive is location"

About the only positive about this place is the location to Midway. For our room, there was no bar soap, only facial...no shampoo and the shower sings to you as you shower with a high pitch sound. The bedding pillows were small and the duvet, ( this was worthless) moved on us and had to wrestle with that in the middle of the night. The morning breakfast was the weakest of our vacation trip. NO yogurt, they had eggos just laying out and were limpy and damp. The mrs tried the waffle, but when pulled out, parts of the Teflon on the waffle came off with it. There was no attendant working the breakfast as most have. Would not recommend this place to stay again.

Air conditioner was broke, room smelled funny, and staff did nothing to fix it. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. We were treated like our problems didnt matter to the staff. They were more busy on their phones then helping us.

Close to Midway airport. Although they don't have a shuttle. They got me a cab for 12 dollars. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was good. And the rate was fair. I would stay at this hotel again.

"Somewhere to rest your head"

Stayed here 3 nights and that was too long. My friend booked this hotel big mistake I'm never letting her do that again. It was cheap for a reason. Pros: Toilet got blocked and maintenance came right up to fix it.Close to Olive garden and Ihops. Beds were comfy as can be. Staff were attentive and friendly. I spilled coffee in the eating area and it was cleaned quickly she also made sure I didn't burn myself. Cons: Hallways smelled like fumes because they were removing wall paper and painting. Towels were thin and worn out. Not that close to the airport by bus and the buses take long to come. The hotel needs an upgrade. Query sketchy area.

This hotel is just a short drive from the airport but close to a lot. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend of your looking for a no frills inexpensive, safe place to stay.

I travel to Chicago on business, often. This is always my first choice in hotels. It is close to midway airport and rather inexpensive. Chicago offers many entertainment options. This hotel leaves plenty left in the budget to see the city.

I enjoyed my stay at this best western. The staff was very kind and whole hotel was clean and looked brand new. The location was perfect. The hotel is close to the city and also to the airport, which made our plans very convenient.

"Undergoing renovation April, 2018 - and needs it"

I'm in the BW Rewards program, and we are supposed to be recognized and get a 'goodie bag' with maybe an apple, a granola bar, or cookie. Nothing - no recognition when my wife checked us in. I arrived later, and went down to the desk to discuss this. The clerk confirmed that the record showed my Rewards status, and then offered me one bottle of water. Apparently, my wife doesn't count. Try telling YOUR wife that.... The lobby was being renovated - furniture everywhere, some wrapped in plastic, some stacked up. Not appealing. My wife asked for a handicapped room, and the one we got had a slight musty smell to it. The A/C worked, but loudly. I wasn't sure the carpet had been swept in a number of days because there were 'dust bunnies' under the edge of the bed. The bed itself felt firm and turned out to be OK. The bathroom, however, was the issue. A handicapped shower in place, with a cracked surround at one corner, a hand shower that flowed only at a trickle just above a drip, and a fold-up seat whose cushion had separated from the frame and a thick dark layer of mold had formed in the separation. No tissues either, and no bath towels. We thought we could put up with it, however, as we were running late and had to go to our party very shortly after check-in. Back to the front desk. I got a plastic package of tissues and two bath towels. When morning came, we went down to breakfast, avoiding the shower. Served in a small room off the lobby, it was cramped and overflowing with guests at 7:30am. The food was 'standard' - pre-made omelets, heated up, ditto with sausages, a waffle iron and batter, fruit and cereal. Coffee and juice from machines. We found a table and noticed syrup residue on it, which we avoided. Next morning, trying the shower just once, we again went down to breakfast and sat at the same table. Syrup residue was still present. Not appetizing. Not acceptable either. And, just to add to the list, the hotel is about three miles from Midway Airport, but has no airport shuttle service.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and hard working. The breakfast was basic, make it yourself waffles, a variety of breads, sausage, hash, juice, cereal and milk, and the coffee was excellent. We would stay here again.

The room especially 312 has an unpleasant odor that needs to be checked into. Breakfast should be better than what is served else don't serve it at all. Towels are very old and not enough are provided for use. The refrigerator was not workable as it freezed all our drinks and food.

"Never again"

Never again will we stay at a Best Western. We experienced dingy towels, dim lighting, and we had to hunt to find staff. The toilet malfunctioned the morning of our departure, we found out the hard way that a chair was broken--thankfully no serious injuries.

Okay for location to airport. Still costs about $12 for a taxi to the airport, which felt high. NOT a good location for any time spent down town Chicago. Staff was nice, but motel is average only. Breakfast was unappealing.

Great location, great service, great room. I travel ALOT for work. I often go through Chicago. I love the people at the Best Western. It it super close to midway airport. The rooms are nice, the price is super cheap. It is best value in the Chicago area. The competition are way overpriced. The people at Best Western could do the same but, they don't. All I can say is; give them a try. I amuse you will be as impressed as I am.

"A frozen stay."

My boyfriend and I spent the day sight seeing in the bitter cold wildchills of Chicago. Around 9ish at night we checked into our hotel. The night gal was sweet. All was great till we got to our room. Normally I not a picky person, but as you opened the door it felt like you walked into a deep freezer. After along day we just wanted heat. We kicked the thermostat into high geer and patiently waited for warm heat. That never happened. Besides the bitter cold room the bed was missing the warm brown blanket and the sheets looked dirty. The bathroom had a piece of toliet paper unflushed upon arrival and stool itself shook when you sat on it. Also the shower drain was just unassembled sitting there in the tub. To me this looked like an out of order room that accidentally got put back into service. So, within the hour we moved to the next room. The only thing unpleasant about the room is it had like zero water pressure. In the morning there was no bill under our door. Also the breakfast was God awful!!!! The breakfast obviously had not been cleaned in weeks. The food was nasty even the bananas were brown. Thank goodness my kids were not with me. Also I left my expensive sleep pillow in the room and no one has bothered to call me to see if I want it back. This stay was very disappointing and not like the many other Best Westerns I have stayed at.

"Wouldn't recommend"

The worst part about my stay was that there were bugs in my room. We also had broken lamp shades & the sheets did not look like they were changed prior to my arrival. The best part, the staff were all very friendly:

The first room had mold in the shower area. And the second room had condom wrappers on the floor and the bathroom floor had tons of hair on the floor. The location was convenient but I would not recommend this particular one.

Add microwave and mini fridge, better towels- they were really thin and old. Staff was great, the lobby looked great there was great decor. I think there's more upgrades needed to be Best Western quality

I knew it would be an awful night when I was greated at the front entrance with a HUGE rat that ran across the front doors. The inside was under construction which we weren't not informed, upo n making our reservations. Dust & work smells everywhere. I WOULD NOT recommend!

Great place to stay. Problems getting my phone to work. No microwave and refrigerator. Clean and comfortable bed. Quiet to be in the city. Wonderful staff. WiFi may not be strong enough. Would stay again. Will be nice when they are completed with renovation.

"Place is a Dump"

Toilet was clogged, which then overflowed, which didn't help getting out of the door for a trade show that morning. The hotel lobby is under major renovations. Wifi didn't connect or establish any signal worth using on any device, phone or laptop. I had overall a very poor experience. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel again after many years of our company staying in this exact location. The quality of the hotel has just deteriorated past the level of keeping the doors open and allowing guests to book rooms....

I was in town to visit friends and attend an event. The hotel was a great location to event, restaurants and airport. Some of the lobby was under construction. Room had a old dusty smell but I the bed was great.

Smelled like cigarettes ... room was atrocious ... broken faucet and shower .. carpet was bubbled up and gross ... one of the beds was caved in ... totally disgusted with every aspect !!! Will never stay here again ... room 312 was a nightmare

This hotel is under construction. Stay away! Hotel staff had a hard time speaking english. They were not helpful. Entire lobby, fitness area and many of the hallways were under construction. Making it difficult to get to my hotel room.

"Business trip"

Besides the obvious construction mess in the lobby, this was a nice hotel in a convenient location. Looks like they are updating the entire hotel. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. I liked that the parking was free, although I was limited to where I could park with my oversized work van. Seemed like a good value at a nice hotel. Will be staying here again.

Was one the cheapest options close to midway and you get what you paid for. Not the cleanest place but acceptable. Had a good night sleep and got to the airport quickly which is what I needed. Don't expect anyrhing high end you'll be ok.

"BED BUGS!!!"

You know when can feel in your gut right away that something is bad news? Well, my entire experience with Best Western was that that. My company booked travel for me, and while I was ending up at a Best Western I had stayed at previously in Monticello, IN I arrived in Chicago late and didn't want to make the drive so they booked me a room here for the night. From the airport I drove by a cluster of hotels in a more well lit, seemingly taken care area, and thought perhaps I had input the address wrong. NOPE. While the hotel is not far from the airport, it's also not close. When I arrived I was already skeptical - the parking lot is small and not particularly well lit and there was an aggressively barking dog behind a rickety fence. I was tired and knowing I was only staying one night didn't seem like making a reservation elsewhere. Inside there was scaffolding and tables / chairs in what perhaps would have otherwise been considered a lobby. In the room the AC was off, as they tend to be more and more to save energy, but result in terribly musky rooms. I could tell right away the room hadn't been updated, likely since the hotel was initially renovated, and it was not the cleanest - quite the opposite. I went to bed thinking 'what could go wrong in the 6 hours I have to sleep before getting on the road?' Answer - BED BUGS. I began my drive the next morning scratching my hand, as if I had a small rash - as the day progress the bites became more visible and a hell of a lot more itchy. My bites at first looked like mosquitos which was my initial thought but then a bed bug revealed itself. I called the hotel later that day to inform them that the room I stayed in had bed bugs and was informed by John that someone was in that room and he hadn't heard any complaints. I AM COMPLAINING! My hands were on fire, I had bites all over the right side of my face and arms that turned from mosquitos to more flea like bed bug bites. My doctor ended up prescribing me a anti-histamine that relieved the desire the scratch but also knocked me out, causing me to lose a days worth of work. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel.

"Willie Moy makes this the best, Best Western"

In the modern day of hurry up and move along; It deserves to be noted when someone stops what they are doing to give you truly great service. Willie Moy goes above and beyond to give great service. I watched him run outside to help an older gentleman help with his bags. I am sure the gentleman would have eventually got his bags out of the car. But, the smile on the mans face was truly heartwarming. Willie Moy makes you believe that there are people out there trying to make the world a better place to live in.

Any time, I'm in Chicago, I stay here. I could always count aon a great room with a great price. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located and the breakfast was awesome. There were plenty of varieties to choose from. I will definitely stay here again.

"Pure hell"

Beds were terrible, water pressure was awful, the room smelled horrible. Will never stay here again! Left the hotel to go get food and come back to 3 cops and a k9 dog on the parking lot, I will definitely will not ever stay here again!

Staff was courteous, but seemed to be limited to one employee. Lobby and rooms were clean. Elevator was slow. Parking adequate.Continental breakfast however was lacking. Selection was too limited and there was no fruit. Overall opinion better than average. I would have selected GOOD, but since that was not an option I selected VERY GOOD.

"Under construction"

For the money, hard to beat. Remodeling was underway, but only after 9am and not a problem other than ceiling insulation littered the hallways after hours. Smoke stink in our room one night, clerk could not find the source, but apologized. Very quiet room (401) unless the window was opened and the traffic noise was bad. Nice room, quality furnishings and excellent bed. Lighting was inadequate, but worked fine. We'll stay again.

We stayed here before flying to San Diego for our honeymoon because it was the most cost effective sleep & fly package I could find...next time I will spring for the more expensive option. We had to be given a different room right away because the key card lock was not working. We found roaches in our bathroom in the middle of the night. Water pressure in the shower was extremely poor. Breakfast was of very questionable quality. I'm giving two stars because the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could, but I'd say just opt for something else.

This is a motel not a hotel. Bad services, bad food, high prices. Poor wifi. I would rather pay more at a hotel close. It may cost more but at least I will get what I am paying for. The room had mildew. Mold in the bath room. The hot water pressure was down. The place was under construction and I was not told.

I would not recommend this hotel, Best Western Inn & Suites - Midway Airport, Burbank, IL to any one to health issue. This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in my life, by mistake. It is so close to the airport, so I booked the hotel without reading the reviews. I have stayed with hundred Best Western hotels in the past and I have never seen a super dirty hotel like this one.

Didn't really have any problems during my stay. I stayed during the middle of some renovations so thing like the lobby and some of the other things weren't there. The staff was ok the housekeeping woman I met was really friendly more friendly than those at the front desk.

This motel was under renovation so not the best to look at. It is just an average hotel not quite up to the usual Best Western standard in my book. Ice was hard to find and the staff were not very friendly. The breakfast was average to poor.

"Poor service / quality of hotel"

Hotel looks ok from the outside, however it is under construction on the inside. The accessible hotel rooms are on the first floor, great, but only have king beds. Very difficult when traveling with parents or as a care giver. A/C did not work well - window was open to room when we arrived into the room. Ice makers are only on the 1st and 3rd floor where the ice maker on the 1st floor did not work. The front desk clerk says that happens all the time. No apology. The front desk clerk also didn't speak to me prior when walking past her multiple times to take things to the car. Clerk and another co worker were busy speaking / looking at magazine.

lots of construction going on inside. didn't have washcloths in the room but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. cant wait to see it when all of the improvements are done. It is located close to Midway airport so the Uber ride was quick and cheap.

The hotel was an average stay. The rooms were average nothing to really complain about but could have had better carpeting for the flooring and comforters for the bedding, Even though construction was going on they could have had the ice machine in the hallway working.

The water pressure is dysfunctional; water trickles out of the shower and sink. Housekeeping provided me with less than a full supply of bath linens, toiletries, and coffee/tea. The breakfast is substandard and not edible.

There was a rat in my room and the room had a terrible odor that Lysol couldn't even handle. I didn't inform staff because I'd had a long day and I didn't want to have to find another hotel that late at night but it was definitely enough to keep me from ever visiting again!

"What I think of this place."

I found this hotel online as a Best Western Member. It's an older building and it was clear they were doing upgrades to the front area. Room was old feeling and I have a Service Dog and the manager had me pull my documentation to prove it which was fine. I just did not get the feeling she was happy about him being there. No ice in the ice machine, wrinkles in the carpet and it was dingy feeling (almost depressing) in my room. Breakfast was not ideal. Very few choices for a low carb diet. The typical Waffles, toast and cereal. No hot meat that day and only boiled eggs. It was "Ehh" over all. I am not sure I could recommend this one. Did not feel warm and welcoming overall and I would not stay there again, even if I had to pay more at a different chain all together.

Don't stay at this hotel, they have roaches and other crawling insects in the bathroom. the breakfast is terrible and you have to get the clerks attention while she's using her cellphone. Best Western have better hotels than this one.

I've stayed in lots of Best Western hotels and have come to expect a certain level of quality. This one fails to deliver. It is on a noisy road and there is a night club next door. People spill out on to the hotel parking lot and hang out. They were still making noise after midnight. We called the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do. The quality of the breakfast was poor. The pastries we're stall.

My room literally reeked of the seventies. The air conditioner cycled on and off all night long. The water pressure in the shower was comparable to a lawn sprinkler. Perhaps the lamest continental breakfast I ever had.

We have stayed at other hotels in this area before and this was by far our worst experience. Toilet was clogged when we arrived. Room was not made up on second day: beds not made, bath not cleaned, no clean towels.

The worst best western we stayed in. Room carpet was dirty, you can hear thru the walls. For $150 with taxes! No airport shuttle. Uncomfortable beds. Really disappointed place. Nothing positive to say unfortunately. Want my money back!

"Not The Best Western More Like Worst Western"

Rooms were just OK. Bed was hard. The stopper in sink was broken. Had to pull it out to keep the sink from filling up. Lighting was terrible. All lamps gave out very dim light, even with all of them lit. This hotel is going through renovations, so the lobby had construction materials in it, as well as there was masking tape on the doors to illustrate the room number. I was disappointed by the quality of the room and hotel for $125 a night. The staff was courteous, but they need better tools to work with to be able to accommodate guests better. If other hotels in the Chicago area weren't more expensive, I would have switched hotels. This was the worst Best Western I'd ever stayed at. I've gotten better pricing and accommodations at Best Westerns in other parts of the country.

My room was clean & comfortable, although there were multiple tiny pillows on the king sized bed - not even regular sized pillows, which was unusual, but fine. The staff was very professional, friendly & helpful. Be aware the back 1/2 of the lobby area is being renovated, so not only are the gym facilities not available, there are no available business facilities. The front desk did offer to make their printer available to print our an airline boarding pass. Other renovations appear to be ongoing also The breakfast needs improvement.

I knew the facility was under renovation, so understand the condition of the lobby and other areas. We had a problem at check-in but the desk clerk took care of it. The beds were comfortable. I would suggest having heavier and larger bath towels.

We booked based on past good experiences with BW. The location in terms of proximity to Midway was not as good as other newer similar chains. The facility was in poor shape. There were signs of new construction, they've got a long way to go. I usually recommend BW, but not for this location.

Theirs no warning before booking about construction in fitness room, lobby, and rooms. The price is the same but you don't get all the amenities . Rooms have masking tape with the number of the room written with a sharpie on it.

There was a lot of construction going on during our stay which, for me, decreased the value received for the price. Had I known about the construction, I would have chosen another hotel to stay at. Service was good. Room as expected except for a drawer that fell apart when you opened it.

When I called to make a reservation, I asked if they offered a park and fly. Which I was told yes. I then asked if they had an airport shuttle and again was told yes. So I made a reservation for a nights stay preceding our cruise. But when we arrived at the hotel to check in, we were told NO shuttle and would have to find our own transportation to and from the airport.

This hotel is undergoing renovation in public areas (lobby, hallways, etc.). AVOID IT UNTIL IT'S DONE! Safety hazards exist (unfinished tile flooring as we exited the elevator on the 4th floor causing a tripping hazard) and our room was very outdated and unkept, including a very old comforter on the bed (yuck), and a burned out light bulb, rust, and only one towel (despite 2 people reserved for the room) in the bathroom. Would not stay here again (and we stay at BW often). Lots of other hotels closer to the airport (stayed one night before catching an early flight out and this property is 3 miles from MDW). Pros: Breakfast was fine (although missing salt for the eggs) and staff were nice.

The website did not mention that the breakfast area was under construction. The front desk person was very friendly. The sofa in the room was old and sank in the middle. The leather desk chair was split. The heater was noisy. And I found two bed bugs in the room. I checked out at 3 a.m. and went to another hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel the place is under construction. We had pre-paid for the room so we couldn't get a refund. They have thin wood boards taped together in the walkway to get to the elevator. The service was excellent. Breakfast could have been a little better. We got to our room and had to have the pillow sheets changed out. Housekeeping did come right away and change them. This was the first best Western room where the bathroom was better then the room. It would have been nice to know the building was under construction when booking, especially for the non-refundable price we were charged and getting in and out of the building.

"Horrible Stay"

I would never stay at this location again for multiple reasons the biggest one being the apparent drug activity that was going on in the hotel. It smelled of marijuana throughout the hotel in the elevator.The first night we were there the cops were arresting someone for stealing a TV and then desk called us to make sure we had a TV an then came to our room to check it was very strange. We were here for a funeral with small children and this was very disturbing. The next biggest problem was the condition of the room. The bed was clearly broken, blood splatter on the wall by the bed, no screen in the window, window did not lock which was unsettling seeing as how you could tell people hung out on the rooftop located directly out our window and the staff made no attempt to get is something to block the window from opening. The TV remote did not work and the channel listing did not match the actual channels. The Desk chair was broken as well as the little eating table and the chairs for the table were stained so badly we didn't even sit on them. The carpet was stained and clearly not vacuumed. The bathroom walls and shower curtain had mold all over them and towels were all stained. They were doing remodeling in there hallways which is fine but not at 8:00 in the morning right outside our door scrapping the walls. The staff was not friendly and not accommodating i had an issue with my points and they informed if it was taken care until i asked and the woman's response at the desk was "oh your the one with the vouchers" in a very snotty tone as if i was such a bother. They never disclosed that the pool and fitness center were shut down. Housekeeping was also rude when we asked for extra towels we got well here is two you will just have to wait until later now mind you we were trying to get ready for a funeral. I work at a hotel and we travel a lot and i have never experienced such horrible accommodations.

We stayed for one night while in town for a family funeral. The location was convenient for where we were visiting and the hotel was very easy to get to from O'Hare International Airport despite being closer to Midway. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very average but we were able to find items to suit us. There were some renovations being done and the rooms could use a little upgrade but the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Price was also very affordable.

Disappointed with the staff, room, and overall experience. They have a lot of work to do to bring this up to an average place let alone something of quality. The TV didn't work, the toilet would run every 5 minutes. The shower rod was broken. Very convenient to the airport this hotel could stand some fresh paint and better breakfast. Rooms were clean.. One person in our party had to change rooms because of the smoke smell... Breakfast was EXTREMELY sparce. They had not received, for some reason a reservation for a second room for our party... Currently they are expanding the breakfast room and need to greatly expand the menu... This was a VERY basic hotel.

I am staying here right now. I checked in yesterday 09/30/16 and thank goodness I check out tomorrow! I waited 25 minutes to check in and then stayed in a room overnight which smelled of urine. And today when I complained, I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa (Hotel Mgr) who is abnoxius, nasty and almost as disgusting as this hotel. She insisted that the room did not smell of urine, even when her own maid said that it did. She used a very loud, nasty tone with me and was rude. I also hurt myself on a piece of broken gym equipment (which I made hotel staff aware of) and no one put up a sign or anything so the next guest can possibly get more injured than I did. I travel a lot and have never experienced anything like this. I and my wife called corporate customer care (spoke to Nicole and Amanda). This was nothing but a waste of our time. They apologized and said that they were documenting everything, but were unable to do anything about this disaster, at this time. I do believe that when traveling we can encounter problems but I have grown to expect hotel management to be able to deal with problems in a professional and curtious way. And if they do not, usually a professional corporate manager is able to step in and handle the situation. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!!!

"Attention to Room Details"

This particular room needed much more attention to details, because of a ceiling repair near the entrance of the room. They most of have had some sort of water leak @ some point. It was patched / repaired, but black mold was forming near the seam of where the ceiling meets the wall. The room should have been a finish product before having guests (my family) check in.

"Convient place to stay"

This is a very convenient place to stay, lots of parking and safe. Well situated for a variety of places to eat. The hotel price is very reasonable. The rooms are very clean and well stock. Breakfast is ok. Lots of carbs though and coffee taste like instant, no half and half.

"MOLD and LEAKS"

I was really disappointed that I was given a room with a leaky ceiling and mold all around the leaks. I was not transferred to another room nor was I comped what so ever. Not even offered. I had to deal with the constant flow of water and dripping in my suite.

"Poor customer service"

My comforter smelled like urine. I didn't have enough towels and was told by front desk I needed to come to front desk to get my own. I asked for a fridge and microwave and was never told they weren't available. I had to call to follow-up on if and when it would be brought to room only to find out they didn't have any. Poor customer service. The room wasn't the cleanest and was more on the expensive side given the accommodations. I would not return next time I'm in Chicago.

Cost was much less than other airport hotels and offered comfort and convenience. Great staff who arranged for morning taxi service and gave wonderful restaurant recommendation. I had an error with my bill that was corrected promptly and emailed to me.

"Bed Bugs and Musty Room"

When we entered the room there was a musty strong odor. The AC had not been turned on and it seemed like no one had entered the room for a very long time. The room across the hall from us had a bed bug infestation. I have had to take measures to ensure my luggage and belongings do not bring the bed bugs back to my home with me. There was hair in the bathroom from someone else. The pillows were mangled and could barely be considered pillows. The fitness center had two machines and one of them was broken. This hotel is overpriced for what it is and should be considered a motel.

I would say the other reviews are pretty accurate. This hotel is definitely very outdated and not the cleanest. The pool is closed for renovations as everyone else was saying but that didn't really bother us very much. The front desk was friendly and overall helpful with anything we asked them. I thought the neighborhood felt very safe. If I ever come back to Chicago paying extra to stay downtown is definitely worth it!

Guests who are staying because of business in the city should consider staying at Best Western Plus Chicago Hotel at Hillside. Located just west of the Loop, the hotel is close to el trains and buses.

"Will cancel Reservation b4 you arrive"

They cancelled my reservation even though I called them at 6 pm to advise them I would be arriving late. Found out I had no room reserved when I arrived and night clerk did little to help find me another room 4 the nite. This is Chicago, it isn't easy to find a room at 4 am. The next day when I spoke to the manager about a reimbursement for my out-of-pocket expense, he informed me it was not his problem and refused to reimburse me. Don't stay here.

"Drug use, drunkenness, no peace, no quiet"

As a diamond member of Best Western, I've made the decision based on this stay to use another hotel for business travel. Loud, inconsiderate, drunken thugs shouted down the hallway's at 1 AM. Wave after wave of these people continued until almost 2 o'clock in the morning. They continued on to smoke marijuana in their rooms such that it was so thick it woke my children I blame the management staff for allowing these animals into the building Best Western I hope you're reading this this is always been the problem with your hotels you have nice hotels in some areas where the management staff adequately screens these type of people. But another areas the doors are wide-open and there's not a second concern given the business travelers who endure this behavior by those who frequent your business in a transactional and occasional manner.

In a hotel, smoking is smoking. We cannot, do not screen people. If a potential guest showed impairment before checking in, we would turn them away. Otherwise, all are welcome.

Quest should have all the comforts as close to Home as Possible when away from Home. This can make for a enjoyable and restful trip away on Business or Pleasure. Breakfast can be better and space is limited, not a lot of room.

Flew in late from CA and didn't want to drive up to the suburbs at 11 pm. Good and convenient to Midway airport. It is located on the other side the the little hill. The area was starting to get a little questionable/uncomfortable.

We got a good value for our price. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean. Service was great. The internet could have been a little better. I need high speed for my work in the film industry. We loved the breakfast in the morning. Especially the waffles. Parking was great considering it is Chicago. It was also close to the Airport and many places to eat.

"Ok for a single night"

I booked this hotel for a single night stay right before an early morning flight out of midway airport. It was cheap and offered continental breakfast, so that's all I needed. I think that Chicago area hotels are very expensive, because for the amount paid, I've stayed at much better hotels. My room was clean, but the hotel is old and does not look well maintained in the lobby. The air-conditioning is loud and the washroom piping made a lot of noise at night. The positive is that the room is spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful

"Ok but not great"

We wanted a place close to Midway airport and chose this Best Western. The blankets included a foam layer that I couldn't quite figure out. The room was clean but there was an an area on the wall about 8" X 9" which had been patched but not painted. The morning breakfast was simple but satisfactory. The front desk staff was nice but I would choose another location next time as the price was just too high for a room that was only ok.

"worst stay i have ever experienced"

It needs to be renovated very bad when I open the door to my room it smells very musty and still the bathroom sink was practically falling off you should not just run the water and it goes down it went down very slow which left gunk in the sink the staff was very rude and did not accommodate whatsoever they put the coffee machine in the bathroom with the coffee machine is old and outdated why would you have it in the bathroom the vending machines were practically empty like if you have a hotel full of people why when your vending machine to be stoked with snacks the pool will not open I asked why they said because it didn't get any business who doesn't come to a hotel and wants to swim maybe if you update your hotel and make better accommodations maybe you will get more business and have a better attitude towards our guests because we are paying you to stay in your facilities not the other way around and this is my first time in Chicago I wish I would have stayed somewhere else.. was told there was a pool. I get there and it is closed. Dirty towels, hair all over them, dirty sink, shower cold water and a/c hot!! I am going to fight for a refund of some sort if I don't receive one..

"Bed bugs"

A group of us traveled to Chicago for a family wedding. We all checked in 4 rooms total. At 3am one of our group went to the front desk to report being bitten by bed bugs. They told him they would need proof that it was really bed bugs and they'd test in the morning. Needless to say he couldn't sleep so he asked to be moved to another room. They told him he could check out. He told them he was there with a group and they weren't having problems he was. In the morning once he told us the situation and showed us the video of the bed bugs our group checked out. Another member of our group reported seeing bed bugs in the picture frame in their room.

We made our reservations on the Internet and when we arrived, the front desk did not have them in the system. I produced my copy of the reservation and the lovely man at the desk upgraded our room to a Jr. Suite for the same cost of a regular room because of it. To be honest, we usually stay in 4 to 5 star hotels but we selected this place because of it's convenient location in relation to our home and business needs. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning downstairs. The food was always kept well-stocked and piping hot. I had issues a couple of times trying to connect to the Internet from my ipad and the front desk personnel helped me each time. I had been a little afraid because some of the reviews of this place were not good. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and we had nothing but a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was so pleasant and each day we returned from our meetings, the room had all ready been cleaned. We are returning again tomorrow to stay for the weekend and most likely will continue to come back.

Needs to be updated and more staff to help. rooms should be checked overall this hotel met my needs as it was close to the airport , but has a few problems with items not working. I would stay again but only if needing to be at the airport.

Stay was pleasant and staff was helpful. Affordable. Rooms were clean enough. Breakfast was ok. This was a convenient location for our purposes. Wish their pool was useable though. No water was in it... My granddaughter wanted to swim; they said it was closed for repairs.

"Never again"

Lobby smelled like mildew. Front desk staff was cold and impersonal at 8pm. Once I got onto floor of room, smelled stale. Room which was reserved 3 weeks plus was not cooled down for my arrival and it was 85 ° outside. Bedspread was basically thrown on bed, crooked on one side and wrinkled on other side, as if someone was recently sitting on it or possibly even laying on it. Bed skirt extremely long on one side and short on other side. Carpet was buckled and not vacuumed. Couch cushions were discolored and VERY worn. Second room cleaner, but bathroom shower curtain reeked of mildew, mold around toilet pipes and sink drained so slow that I could not tell if it was actually draining. NEVER AGAIN

Very noisy hotel. People came in at 11:00pm and made noise and slammed doors constantly until 2:00am. With a flight to catch I had to leave at 5:30 am thus I did not get much sleep. Totally ruined my day. Nothing better than average for this hotel. Couldn't even avail myself of the breakfast because I had to leave before 6:00am Given that this hotel is near an airport, Breakfast should startt earlier. People do have early flights. That is why I rated their service as poor.

This hotel located in a convenience area, very closed to Midway airport. It is very closed to some of my relatives for the Memorial day holiday. We thoroughly enjoy their breakfast, very delicious, for a continental breakfast, they offered hot foods and had quite a few variety to choose from. The hotel staffs are very pleasant, they went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely visit this hotel again.

A friend and I just finished a stay at the Best Western Midway Airport for 1 night. We had plans around town and were only using it for a bed near the airport. Rates were reasonable and proximity to MDW were the selling points. The convenience to the airport was very good. 10 minutes or so. Only gripe on this was the lack of airport shuttle. I was surprised that a hotel advertising the airport, would not have a shuttle TO/FROM that airport. Not a deal-breaker, but surprising. Unfortunately, that was about the only highlight. He and I are not, by any means, neat freaks or OCD about details, but a few things in a short stay were disappointing. When getting into bed the sheets had black marks all over them. It almost looked like someone wrote with a pencil on it. The same marks were on one of the pillows. Another oddity, when calling down to the office to schedule a wake-up call, there was no front desk button and trying 0 just kept giving a dial-tone. I walked down and asked for the call to which the gentleman responded, "you know you could have just called us." I took the opportunity to advise him his phones do not work. His response to this was to tell me to check to make sure the phone was plugged in. I will say the wake-up call was timely and helpful, just a bit of a rocky process. The hotel is serviceable. If you just need a bed to sleep in before hitting Midway Airport, this would be a fine spot. It is one of the cheapest in the area rate-wise. If you are looking to stay here for pleasure, I would go elsewhere. There was nothing "nice" about the place and the location is a bit rough as well.

Stayed here one night prior to morning flight and it was a pleasant stay. It's 10 minutes by taxi from airport and we made use of the free parking for a week or less. Cheaper to pay roughly $15 each way than pay for parking at or near MDW. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room faced Cicero which is very busy and windows didn't do anything to prevent noise.

While close to this busy airport, the room was very quiet. The facility had beautiful granite counters in the lobby and the rooms, plus the floor on the first floor was also granite. The staff were super-helpful in getting us to and from the airport.

Just visited this hotel a week ago and was not sure what to expect of the location. It was very quite and convenient to the airport and other airport locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. I am very picky but I was very satisfied.

Exceptional customer service, good food, and clean rooms. The location is close enough to Midway Airport, yet far enough. The staff were very cordial and helpful, and I think this is a great option if you need to be close to the airport.

If you are flying into Chicago at Midway Airport this hotel is a great option. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was quiet at night even though the hotel is located on a commercial street with shopping and dining all up and down South Cicero. My room was spacious and clean, and also had a fridge. The housekeeping staff had my room in immaculate condition upon check-in. If your visit to Chicago does not require any trips downtown I would recommend this Best Western. The hotel also had a gym and the cable package and wifi were above average.

Unfortunately hotel is very dirty! My family had bug bites the next night. The breakfast was of low quality and not very tasty at all. In the bathroom, the ceiling panels were falling out! In general, this hotel was not a good place to stay for the amount it charges.

"A GRADE BETTER THAN 4-HOUR NAP"

Facility needs to be updated - and the only amenity that was worth going for they got rid of. Cliental iffy -- Banquet Hall next door -- so people are very loud in hall ways no respect for other customers. This time of year -- better getting a suite downtown for the same price. Just stayed here out of location convenience.

We discovered bed bugs in one of the rooms, the other, the heater did not work properly (cold air), and the reset never worked properly, finally had to turn the unit off. We left the morning we discovered the bugs.

We always stay at this location when in the area, probably a total of about 30 times. Good hotel at a very reasonable price, it is in the process of being updated. Nice indoor pool with hot tub, decent breakfast, will save you money from going out.

"Dirty & extremely used towels"

I was desapointed by my stay in this hotel I am expecting the same standard in every Best Western that I stay in. Towels were so used that they were grey. Face cloth was torned and stain with lipstick. The fride was all icy. The frame on the wall was cracked . Bed was badly made when I came in it seems taht someone had sit on it . I am very desapointed with my stay I did not get the standard that I expected.

"Check for cleaniness"

If you are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport there are better choices. This hotel does not offer shuttle service so be prepared to pay for a taxi if you use them. When you're in your room check the bathroom and under the tables, their cleaning staff does not do a good job of making sure the room is free from previous customers items and they don't remove dirty towels. The internet is not extremely slow, but it's not high speed either. I took this room because of a friends recommendation on price and service but I guess I didn't get the same service that she received. If you are a large family flying in town with lots od baggage do not expect help with bringing your baggage in from the taxi or out to the taxi. If you eat the breakfast not all of the equipment works well, you have to hold the toaster button down to get it to toast.

hotel is not very appealing. everything is old and dingy. the towels were clean, but not white, had a yellowish appearance. the lighting in the bathroom is poor. (ladies need to put on make-up). overall hotel needs to be renovated. due to the fact it was close to the airport, thought it might be nice. Price was ok. don't mind paying more for a nice place.

"Bed was wet with urine"

We had points for a free room thru Best Western. We were flying out in the a.m. for our first trip to Jamacia. It was quite a shock when he decided to lay on the sheets after his shower and found the bed to be very cold and wet!!! WET AS IN SOMEONE WET THE BED!! I called the front desk and they said 'they would send someone up to change the bed'. I informed them, 'that would not be enough, that we wanted out of the room!! The "housekeeping supervisor" came to check the room , informed us that "when people have accidents they should inform the hotel". If the room had been changed in the appropriate manner, this would not have happened. It appears, the bed was thrown together, perhaps because it was not very messy. Whatever, the fact remains, we had a urine infested bed. HOW DISGUSTING. WE COMPLAINED AT THE FRONT DESK AND WERE OFFERED NOTHING TO COMPENSATE THIS DISGUSTING OCCURRANCE.

Our family members experienced several furnishing and service issues during a recent stay. The pool was closed for repair, the room was missing end tables and reading lights, a lost personal item was never found after checkout and calls weren't returned when we inquired.

"Not happy"

This trip was just for 1 night, website advertised a pool...got there and no pool, had very upset children. Also cig burn holes in blankest. Something was spladder all over the ceiling, Beds were horrible

"Midway mayhem"

The hotel felt dirty and we had to ask for basic things like towels, sheets and toilet tissue. It is fairly close to the Midway Airport but there is no shuttle service to the airport so you'll have to grab a taxi. It was nice to be able to leave the car there instead of using long term parking at the airport

my hotel stay was just fine , hotel was clean and very quite . Did not have no problems . Hotel is located in a good part of Chicago . did not half to worry about my vehicle . Thank You Theres nothing else to say about this hotel hope who ever reads this finds it helpful

"Very good...except for the breakfast"

Everything was fine. Great staff, comfortable room. Just need to work on bringing up the quality of the breakfast items. Eggs were the pre-made rubbery kind. No quality meat of any kind. Improve the breakfast and you will have my business again.

"Good basic hotel, but priced too high"

The staff here are excellent. The hotel itself is about twenty years old, in decent shape, but in a rougher part of town. Rooms were clean, AC worked fine and the TV was decent. Breakfast was provided but was nothing to write home about. If it was priced a little lower it would be a good value.

after traveling all over for business my wife and I met up here for her birthday! she wanted to stay in the luxury downtown hotels but after all the business trips it just wasn't in our budget . However the room we got here was equal to or better than some of the rooms we've gotten downtown and the staff was so friendly. great experience for the money saved.

Average hotel with employees that will go out of their way to help you. 3 miles from Midway, but not much going on in the area of the hotel. The desk staff was very helpful, they let me check-in at noon and up graded my room.

"Worst hotel stay ever"

We needed to stay economically in Chicago for a week so this seemed like a good deal. Upon arrival we were given one room that looked like someone's painted basement made into a guest room. We asked to be moved and ended up in a room that smelled SO BAD that the stench took on a personality of its own! We think maybe someone died in the room. By the end of the week we had to brace ourselves to enter at the end of the day after staying out as late as possible to spend as little time as possible in it.

"UNIMPRESSIVELY BLAND"

As a Diamond Member of the Best Western Rewards program, I stay exclusively at BWs. I've stayed at One Premier property, a few Plus properties and many standard BWs. I don't know how this one made the bottom grade. While we had no problems at this hotel and did sleep well, I could not help but notice how everything seemed cheap and I'm not describing the price. For 98 bucks a night I tend to want a decent sized towel that will at least cover the full circumference of my 36" waist and hopefully have enough thread to do what a towel is intended to do. These room towels felt like what other BWs call pool towels. Breakfast seemed cheap and uninspiring and still served on Styrofoam tableware. In room coffee was some unrecognizable brand that seemed cheap. The whole property just had that feel of one of those $39.99 interstate motels that you reluctantly stay at only because you are dog tired and your expectations are not real high. For closer to a hundred bucks I expect more and this property should deliver more. With a little more care and attention to detail this could be a nice property and there are plenty of wonderful examples to follow out there.

"Good value for the area, but..."

The hotel is fairly close to Midway airport located in an area with a lot of small businesses. A good value considering the criminally high room charges of the other name brand hotels in the area. The hotel is on a busy road so road noise was there but not awful. The room was clean but had a couple things that needed repair. If you're a breakfast eater, don't bother. With the money you save on the room eat a real breakfast elsewhere.
