Very clean, nice beds and Breakfast was good also. Pool and hot tub clean and enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby was clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. I really can't find anything bad to say about my stay. I would give it 5 stars.
Nice shower. Nice breakfast and near a nice entrance to I40. Plenty of restaurants nearby to have dinner that evening. The weather surprised with rain that evening but parking was available near the rear entrance to protect us entering. Thank you Best Western.
This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in our three week trip. We had a king room with a sofa and table area. There were two TV's. Beds were comfy and there were blackout blinds. Nice walk-in shower with a foot rest to shave your legs. Also had a fan in bath area. It was very clean and had modern decor.
Very nice and new hotel. Rooms are very nice. Neighborhood not great but for the night it was fine. Unfortunately, the WiFi at this hotel does not appear to work if you have certain phone services. Beware. The number to call for fixing wifi no anwer and clerk unfortunately did not know how to fix. The neighborhood not that great either. Breakfast not the best either.
Loved our stay! Hotel was updated, modern and was a great location! Very clean and smelled so good as soon as we walked in. The front desk was friendly and welcoming - we were checked in early with Kelly and Isabel and they were very helpful and kind. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Our ac worked great! The pool and hot tub were so nice and the water seemed very clean. Breakfast was also good and there was plenty of food. Thankful for the late checkout! We will be back when we visit Amarillo again. Thank you Best Western East
Very nice and comfortable. The people at the front desk were really friendly and made check in super easy! It's pretty easy to find off the highway and rooms are clean and water. Pressure is good….. The breakfast is pretty typical of the Best Western experience. They have a little bit of everything for everyone.
This will be our go-to hotel anytime we are in Amarillo. Clean and beautiful rooms and lobby area. Comfy beds and nice clean shower. Complimentary breakfast offered lots of variety. The pool and hot tub were wonderful after a long drive. Plenty of free parking and a great location close to I-40. Staff was kind and friendly. Can;' wait to go back!
Very nice hotel, very clean. Good location, close to the interstate and eateries. The complementary breakfast could use some more effort on the hotel's part. Pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, a few bagels and danishes. Yogurt, coffee and juice.
The room was nice and clean the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a couch. The breakfast was pathetic, there was no hot food only frozen microwave sandwiches that weren't very good, and not much bread or cereal selection. I expect more from Bestwern Plus.
They could've been more welcoming and better when I showed up, I didn't get two bottles of water, but I left to go get my deposit in cash so that I can get it right back when I checked out and the two waters were gone never was I offered them again. It's just little small things they count Also, my deposit was lost and she made sure that she checked my room before she had him to release my deposit when that morning others had checked out and none of their rooms got checked, and I thought it was a racist thing
Not bad at all clean and very friendly staff the breakfast was good. The bathroom was nice and roomy. We got in a little late as always but it was easy and we went right to bed. I did laundry while there. The driers need cleaning a bit. I end up cleaning them everywhere I go.
Easy off and on hotel to I 40. A newer hotel, just couple of years old. Rooms were clean. Had 2 dogs and room was great for them. There's a grass area in front of the hotel for them. Checkin ladies were very friendly. Lots of options for dinner around the area. Breakfast was good, pretty much the standard. Nice outdoor area to sit and eat as an option. Coffee machine needs updated…very slow and hot water for tea tasted like coffee.
Great hotel, great beds& walk in shower with water fall shower heads but the food was horrible the last two stays. But if Isabell R checked you in you are very likely to have a great experience she is very knowledgeable & super friendly & caring.
The reason for a 1 star review is that we called ahead to make sure that the pool and hot tub were in working order. We were told that they were but the hot tub was out of order completely and the pool was cold. When brought up to staff, staff simply said "Sorry about that."
Our room was large and appeared to have been newly renovated. The Best Western Team were super friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel. Staff could be a little more friendly but everyone might not be having a good day so it's all good.
One of the Best, Best Western's I've stayed at. Friendly staff, clean facilities. Highly recommend to anyone!
This place is pet friendly and people friendly. We arrived unannounced at 2:00am in the morning on a cross-country trip. We were exhausted. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. They got us checked in quickly and in moments we were in our room sleeping comfortably. We didn't get to stay long but for the short time we were there it was wonderful. The shower has good pressure and hot water which is always a plus.
An outstanding place to stay with great customer service great rooms and an elevator Looking forward to possibly staying there again
Someone tried to access my room at least two separate times during the night. The clerk made a big deal when I checked in that night about me traveling alone, commenting at least 3 times about it, and saying I was the first one of the night. Also very noisy until 1am as there was a large animal stomping around above.
Newish hotel with lots of amenities. Didn't stay long but it was a nice night. Just needed a sturdier shower bench and tighten up the toilet seat.
Clean, updated and always a pleasure to stay at Best Western Plus. Breakfast is never disappointing. Staff goes above and beyond.
beautifully furnished room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, beautiful landscaping, Seemed brand new.
We had a reservation for 4/6/24 which was canceled without any effort to contact me because the credit card holding the reservation had been compromised and canceled. I did not remember I had used it to hold this reservation (my oversite). There appeared to be no effort to contact me regarding the problem. I did not receive an email or text to let me know of the issue. I was just told my reservation had been cancelled when we arrived at 10 PM. Staff claimed they had no email or phone # on file. I did receive a confirmation email when I booked the room. I am a BW rewards member. My contact information should be available. I have had this happen with another BW and was contacted by email to rectify the situation before I arrived. There was no effort made to assist me in finding other lodging. GM replied to my BW survey from a no-reply email asking for a response and did not return my call when they stated "please don't hesitate to contact me at ..."
Decent price for a night although we stayed on a Tuesday night so you'd expect a reasonable price. Hotel has obviously been renovated which was good. Room smelled heavily of cheap citrus cleaning products. (I know this smell because I have purchased that same smelling cleaning product at the dollar store lol) my dog went nuts sending precious pets that have stayed in the room. So I'm not convinced the rooms were really cleaned THAT well but I don't really know. With so many hotels in Amarillo, Amenities are important in choosing where we stay. The casting option on the TVs was not working (connection error on the hotels end of things). The front desk had no idea how to fix it. We were staying one night and wanted to watch our Netflix and relax. Speaking of which it was weird that there's a big NETFLIX button on their remotes but they don't load the TV with the Netflix app. Overall I was happy the hotel felt new-ish and since the price was decent we may or may not stay there again. I'd be more willing if they fix the TV issues.
This is an Awesome hotel! Very pet friendly! Helpful staff and loved the coffee machine in the lobby/breakfast area!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking for our truck and trailer was absolutely no problem. Rooms were very clean and modern. The mattresses were nice and comfortable. The ONLY thing keeping this place from being a 5 out of 5 were the pillows- HORRIBLE! There were 4 pillows on each bed, but they were the size of throw pillows and were so firm we both woke up with sore necks! I'd happily stay again, but next time I'll bring my own pillows!
Not only did we get a great room for a good price, we also received excellent service as well as local information from the staff. The room was clean and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Parking was adequate for our needs with disabled spaces available.
The Hotel will tow your car if the license does not match exactly. At the desk I gave them the make, model, state and license number, but said that the license may not be exact, sometimes I confuse it with my wife's car. I was told that it had to be exact, they have a contract with a towing company and if it does not match they will tow! Not the Hotel checking the lot but a independent company making that decisions. Needless to say, I doubled checked. But it does not make a person rest easy. The mattress is more of a futon. They said the bar would be open at 5:00. As of 6:00 still closed. Went across the street to a convenience store, had a great selection of beer! The front desk is not rude, but they seem to have a bit of contempt for the guest. I went 2 star because the property and rooms are excellent. Replace the futons with mattress and install reasonable and experienced management, it would be a great spot
This BW location was a newer building; expectations for an updated room were met. The night staff was very friendly and helpful (restaurant recommendations included). Check-in went quickly and the room was clean and welcoming. Breakfast was decent in the realm of this chain's offerings. Again, morning staff was very friendly and welcoming (even as we checked out).
nice clean modern hotel, good location, good happy hour, nice friendly staff, room was too big and open with wood floors for our older doggie, good breakfast, good value for the money, would probably not stay again but that is because of the wood floors, not anything else.
Nice lobby. Diamond status acknowledged and room location seemingly upgraded. Great full breakfast with eggs, chorizo, biscuits, gravy, fruit. Comfortable bed but didn't like the numerous small pillows on a king bed so much (would have preferred larger pillows) Brightly lit parking lot. Choose this hotel because: - large pets welcome - charging station J1772 - newer construction
We always stop here for the night during our ravels to Red River, NM. It's a great place to stay. Staff is helpful and friendly and the it's a very well kept establishment. We would recommend this place for the night.
Have used this place for 3 years, it's a newish property. Still clean and serves purpose for overnight stay. However, I'm a local Amarillo resident and have used this property for guests traveling through, even though I reserve and pay; this time I was informed "we don't rent to Amarillo residents" even though that "policy" is not shown anywhere on their website, and I reserved and booked under my name and local address. Eventually I gave an address in another city and was allowed to check in. This "policy" (if it really even exists) is discriminatory, not advertised and makes no sense. Again, the property itself is ok; shower soap amenities are sadly lacking. rooms clean. Pet friendly (and a lot of pets were here!). Near a few quick eating places
Nice new property. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Fresh hot breakfast with plenty of options. Greeted with bottled bottle and snack bars as well as warm cookies in the lobby when when returned from dinner.
We were experiencing a medical emergency that required an emergency room visit. Contacted the motel staff and made them aware we would be very late arriving. No problem. We had to extend our stay in motel. Situation was handled without issue. Staff was very kind and professional.
I have stayed at the Best Western Amarillo East twice in the past month and it is clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff are excellent and the free breakfast is very good. Be sure and try the Texas waffle when you go there.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, modern decor. The large bathroom had lots of counter space and a large glass door shower that was immaculately clean. My. tall husband loved the elevated shower head that had at least 6 1/2 feet of clearance. Good size dining area with full breakfast including eggs, chorizo, and waffles. There is a small business center with a few computers and an indoor pool and hot tub (accessible) with lounge chairs on the deck. Located right off the 40 access road and convenient to restaurants.
Great hotel! Very new and clean. Rooms were super nice and big. Beds / pillows were very comfy. Had no issues with hearing people above us or in the hallways at all. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good… loved the Texas waffles. The area the hotel is in seemed pretty safe for Amarillo. Not far from the Big Texan and there were quite a few food options around us. Only downside was that the pool was VERY over chlorinated. Couldn't even see the bottom of the pool when you were standing in the shallow end. If they would fix that the pool area would be very nice. The pool and spa were good sizes. I would stay again if I came back to this area.
This was a perfect place to stay for our road trip from Colorado back home to Texas. We were a little concerned about how our map routed us to the hotel from the highway. It took us through a sketchy part of town with lots of drugged-out people, even a guy 'walking' his air conditioner. We decided if the hotel was in this area we would keep driving home. Thankfully, we crossed over the highway and drove many more miles and the area was just fine. So if you are mapped in the same crazy route, just keep going, the hotel is in a good area! The hotel was clean, check-in was quick and professional and our room was clean. At check-in, the gentleman was quick to tell us that the area we were in was safe so I have a feeling, many are mapped through that bad neighborhood. It was obvious that there were many Colorado to Texas travelers just like us, the hotel was full. Parking was well-lit all around the building and there was an entrance on both sides by using the hotel room key. We felt very safe. The beds were soooo comfortable which was a relief after a long day on the road. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. We would definitely recommend and would choose this hotel again. An added bonus...there is a Dutch Bros coffee drive-thru right across the street!
First impression of the hotel is it look and clean but the local management was the worst I have witnessed in any business. After checking us all in 17 rooms none were king as requested for several the manager said we were lucky to get rooms at all! Later that night the manager woke our leader and stated he would need to move our bus out to the street or it would be towed. WHAT! The bus was taking 5 parking places and we have 17 rooms. Had to awaken our driver and move bus to street, not cool. The next morning I observed our leader try to reason with Manager and GM to which I was shocked to hear no evidence of any customer concern. GM's response was she would check us out and we could go somewhere else, right pack up 33 senior citizens and go looking for rooms I don't think so! Many other issues including her refusal to honor the contract with BW corporate for a reduced price on bus driver room which I later learned she charged the corporate reservationist's personal credit card to get our driver a room. Best Western needs to provide some remedial customer care training to this hotel management!
There were so many things right about this hotel but the things that went wrong are big ones. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and checked in. There were 32 of us and we had 19 rooms. Later we went out for dinner then we returned and went to bed. At 11;20 our tour leader was woke up by the manager on duty and told to get the bus driver up and tell him to move the bus off of the parking lot and onto the street. We were assured that we could park on the parking lot when we make the reservations. When the tour leader tried to talk to her, she said that she had called a tow truck and to move it or she would have it towed. There was a lady waiting to check in and when she heard she couldn't park her small motor home on the lot, she canceled her three night reservation. There was also a man driving a truck and towing a boat. He also canceled his reservation gif the night. Our bus driver moved the bus to the street. We went all the way to the motel manager and got no satisfaction. If my wife and I go there and rent a room, we get a parking spot. We rented 29 rooms and our bus was taking 5 spaces. The total lack of courtesy and hospitality was amazing in a new motel trying to build a business. The night manager said to the your leader “if you don't like it, you can leave. One more thing. We are from a Church near Ft. Worth and this was our 2nd trip this year. I don't think we will be using best western
Stayed here twi nights traveling through Amarillo. We had stayed here previously and it was a good experience. We had a second floor, two queen suite. The hotel is far enough from the interstate that there aren't any road noises. The beds were a bit too firm for me but i slept ok. Room was clean. Good shower. Pet friendly so lots of dogs however we did not hear any barking, etc. Breakfast was fine. Typical eggs, etc. waffles, cereal and pastry. Front desk clerk, John, was super friendly and helpful. Lots of fast food restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again.
We enjoyed everything about this stay. Nice rooms, comfy beds and linens, great bathroom and shower. The breakfast was very good with sausage or bacon each day, along with eggs, waffles, yogurt, potatoes, biscuits with gravy available, pastries and cereal. You will not be disappointed. John worked the evening shift and made check-in very pleasant.
This was one of the nicest designed hotels I have stayed in. the new bathroom LED lighting around the mirror, exceptional designed rooms, hallways and public areas. Staff were attentive and well trained. Well worth a stay if in Amarillo!
This property opened in June. Fresh, contemporary and very clean. Rooms are large and quiet. Dark shade at night helped filter outside traffic noise. Check in staff is overly professional and courteous. This was a night we paid with Best Western Points. Great. Pet fee, however, is $30. This was the most expensive we have encountered at Best Western. All pets stay on the second floor. Elevator is provided. Very clean and new bedding. Food nearby and near ! 40 E. The area did not feel safe and the travelers nearby at another hotel were not the best. Not sure of the safety of this part of town. Breakfast is meager and empty coffee, etc., was not refilled promptly. Check out was prompt and professional as well. A big breakfast improvement could make this spot a favorite. Will inquire about location next time.
Super easy access from I40. Brand new. Just opened 2 month ago (June 2020). Since everything is new the beds are super comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean, the linens and towels fresh, the facilities pristine, etc. The employees are well trained and ready please customers. I definitely recommend this place.
I had a reservation for Friday, July 29, 2022. Arrived and went to check in; they wouldn't because water main was broken. Hotel had no water. Excavator was already on site. Why didn't they call and let me know? Wasted hours of my time looking for another place. Baymont was $50 cheaper, although not brand new. Brand new is bad in this case.
Booked the hotel under the premise of an open pool. Arrived and was told the pool would be open shortly. Later advised that could not open due to city license delay. Asked for partial refund, and asked to speak to manager. Both request denied.
