Great place to stay. Very comfortable. The front staff very friendly and helpful.Great location very quiet and easy access. Good hot breakfast the food was very good. I recommend this hotel for a very nice and clean place to stay.

We just stayed for an overnight pass through but I felt that the hotel was clean and the staff was nice and attentive. In a good area that seemed safe. Bed was comfortable. Several restaurants within a mile. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay!! Staff was extremely helpful the whole weekend. Only 3 complaints: breakfast lady would not put more bread out for toast, housekeeping never checked to see if extra essentials were needed, and why can't hotels separate fan from light in bathroom!!! Wanda was amazing making sure I had everything I needed, even a new microwave when mine didn't work!!! Kudos to her!!! 4 night stay

A good value for a clean room. Friendly staff and very helpful. Breakfast room was very clean and well furnished with plenty of food. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. Very easy to get in and out.

I called beforehand to see if I could reserve a room. Sheniqua or whatever her name was very rude, told me they were booked, and hung up on me. I called back to tell her it showed that there were rooms available on other sites. She got even more hateful, so I hung up on the ghetto queen. I have stayed here before when the Marriott was full. This is a low rent room. Spend $40 more and not have to stay with the hood mentatlity.

Two staff at the front desk always eager to help with any guest request. Knew the area well and provided us with name & location of the awesome restaurant perfect for our dining pleasure! Breakfast was outstanding! Staff took a personal interest in the needs of each guest and always happy to help answer any questions.

This was our first stop traveling home from Florida and it was a gem. We were traveling with our small dog and was a bit nervous as the website did not indicate that it was pet friendly. I spoke to a very nice woman at the hotel who assured me that not only were they pet friendly but they do not charge an extra fee. The room was very clean and comfortable and check in was a breeze. The front desk staff put us in a room close to the exit which made it convenient for taking the dog out. They served a hot complementary breakfast of scrambled eggs, two types of sausage, and cheese grits along with waffles, cereal, muffins etc. It was the nicest complementary breakfast we have encountered post Covid and the area was kept very clean and was restocked frequently. Staff was all very friendly from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The property is older but very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the stay at best western. Very clean, everything was in good repair and a frienly and helpful staff. Tripadvisor says i have to have 200 characters so now im just typing. It doesnt take any more than i used to tell you it was a great stay.

Clean, quiet place for an overnight or two. I've stayed here several times over the past few years. Showing a bit of age but still clean and everything was in working order. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the Troy area.

Our car was acting up south of Troy which required an overnight stay in town while the Chevrolet dealer (across the road from motel) repaired our vehicle. The Best Western -Troy took us in before the normal 3:00 p.m. check in time and made our stay a memorable experience. The ladies that greeted us were caring and friendly while efficiently scheduling our stay. Everything that we needed was taken care of by these wonderful people! We didn't know how long we would stay, but they scheduled us out for a week, turns out we only needed a room for one night. I would recommend this place to any traveler, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thanks ladies! P.S. As we were leaving they told us to delay our trip for a half hour as there were tornado warnings north of town. We did so, and when we got north of town there was extensive storm damage that we avoided thanks to their information! Thanks again !

The room smelled horrible, the air conditioner didn't work, there was a roach in the bathroom, there was a huge wet spot on the floor that continued to get wetter and wetter and smelled like it was a sewer problem. When we asked to move to a different room we were told no. When we asked for someone to come check out the problems, they said they would come but didn't.

We stayed one night at this inn. All of the staff were friendly and professional, and we liked the rooms and hot breakfast. Great rate for a stop during a long road trip. Exercise room is a nice offering but poorly located within the heated pool house.

Wanda at the front desk was amazing! The price, location, reviews were what made us stay here. Was not disappointed. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, waffles, pastries and cereal. Would definitely stay again!!

This hotel has an elevator to the upper floor. Friendly staff member at breakfast, clean, well stocked area to eat in. I would probably stop by a department store and purchase additional towels, as there were only 2 in the room and my wife needs one for her hair and one to dry with. I was left with only a hand towel......

The room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast exceeded my expectations; normal continental items plus waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage , biscuits and sausage gravy. The location was convenient right off 231. Motel has an elevator for easy second floor access.

It was a good place to stay the front desk was incredibly friendly and happy and recommended a great place to go for supper and there free breakfast was loaded with lots of good food.... would stop and stay there again on my way home

Safe area on the main drag. Easy to find an get into and out of the parking lot. Lobby clean. Reception / Check in was fast and pleasant. We requested a room on the bottom and she didn't hesitate to put us pretty much in the room we wanted. It is an older motel but very clean. Shower was hot and powerful. Beds were so comfy. Pillows not so much but they were clean and plenty of them. Air/heater worked fine. Big flat screen tv. Nice property with excellent staff. Oh, and there are a few places to eat within a mile or two - not walking distance though. So if that is a deal breaker then I'd move along. Although this was the best looking hotel in town.

We enjoyed our night at this motel. Everything was great. We experienced clean rooms and spacious parking. Check in was a breeze and when asked about local dining, the staff was so helpful. The breakfast was superb.

Excellent stay at the BW Inn, Troy. We needed a place to stay after a full day of tailgating and football. This property worked out perfectly. Was a little apprehensive about selecting BW but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean, updated rooms and very nice employees. They serve a hot breakfast but we didn't eat there. Don't think there is much to eat/do on walking distance it served our purpose perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

Always a clean and quiet hotel. Easy to get in and out from major hwy. Friendly staff and a great value. The breakfast is great and a very good variety. Has a nice indoor pool and it is very clean as well. It is a must stay when in the area.

This hotel is in a nice location close to food and other venues but not in the busiest part of town. The hotel has good parking with plenty of room for those hauling cargo trailers or driving large vehicles. Age staff are polite, friendly, and effiecient. The hotel and grounds are well maintained.

The young lady at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. We were a walk-ins. The location is convenient, with several dining places nearby. The room was clean. Even though the location was on a main highway, it was quiet. The lady who checked us out was also very nice and hospitable.

This is a well located hotel. The rooms were clean and maybe looked like the ceiling of the room had just been painted. Beds were a little hard but the linens were nice and had plenty of pillows. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was well stocked and good. The only complaint that I have is that the indoor pool was absolutely freezing! Not for sure what they are going for but it was too cold for the kids to enjoy longer than 30 minutes.

I booked for my daughter and grandson to see my granddaughter at Troy University in cheer camp. They arrived….got in their room that it wasn't clean at all! The air did not work so they called and was told there was one room but it had to be cleaned before they could move to it. It was so hot in there that they went to the lobby and waited over an hour for the room. It wasn't cleaned much but they had no choice but to stay there. I called the next day and was told a manager would call me back….NO ONE CALLED! We have stayed at Best Western hotels before but will not be staying here ever again! Never got a …sorry or nothing!! This was uncalled for and the least they could have done was to make up for the nights room and having to move to a room not much better than the first one they got to!

We booked our room through the Hotwire app. I chose a room with 2 queen beds. Upon arrival, we were put in a room with one king size bed, which was less than ideal for my family of 5. We were told that it was the only room left in the hotel. The price and room type on my receipt did not match what I originally chose on Hotwire, so I can only assume Hotwire booked the room I requested, and then changed it due to the hotel's availability. The room was not cleaned. It still had the previous linens on the bed. The girl working the front desk was very apologetic and changed the sheets, but nothing else in the room was cleaned. I've never had an issue like this when using a booking app before so I'm really not sure if the mistake lies with Hotwire or Best Western. Either way, it was a sleepless and cramped night for our family.

We had booked several nights at another hotel based on it being the top rated on Trip Advisor. When we arrived at the other hotel, we found many problems and decided not to stay there. Although most hotels were near capacity due to events in town that weekend, the Best Western found a room for us. It was clean, had comfy beds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is the first hotel we've been to post-covid that was serving breakfast. Very nice and very appreciated! Thanks Best Western! We'll definitely be back!

We stayed one night on our trip. I had booked a King room online but received a courtesy call from the Desk Manager to say that there were none available but I could have one with 2 queens. The property is clean and well maintained inside and out. The room was clean. This is an older hotel. Some upgrades have been done but it still shows age. Nevertheless it was clean and comfortable. Very friendly lady managing check-in.

I booked a queen room for the night traveling for work. When I got to the room, I immediately turned around and went back to the front desk and told the lady that I booked a queen room and that they had accidently given me a full bed. She insisted that this was a queen room and asked me if I wanted to purchase an upgrade to a king room. My advice to anyone staying here: if you want a queen size bed, you had better book a king bed room. There is no way that this is a queen bed. And it makes me even madder that they INSISTED that I was wrong. I can promise one thing, I will never stay here again. Floors were also dirty.

We enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future. It was private yet close enough to get things we needed in he area. We hope yo try Julia's restaurant the next time we are in town. We were told they had great food.

Our Reservation was not posted in their computer , I had a printout with a confirmation number and they went with that and got us a room at the price quoted me on my confirmation. Front desk girl got ahold of manager at home who came in and fixed the problem.

This was my first stay in a Best Western and I was extremely satisfied with the staff, room accommodations, and amenities. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. I will be choosing BW again.

First I would like to mention that Jaylyn was very accommodating and polite! We had an issue by Saraland at a different hotel, and got a nasty room, so Jaylyn let us check out our room first! Was super sweet and helpful..room was clean and comfortable, no complaints here...pool was very chilly tho.. but overall very happ with our stay...

I stay at this B.W. every time I come to Alabama the people are very nice and they always keep me up on my home town. I love the ladies they are so down to earth and do not mind helping you. they meet you with a sweet hello and a come back soon when you leave.

My husband is a truck driver and stays at hotels when his drive time is up. We stay at a particular BW in Myrtle Beach that we love so I try to make sure he stays at a BW while in the road. Troy BW did not disappoint. Its difficult to get tens from my husband. He's so picky. The minute he checked into the room he called and said give them all tens. He told me the hotel seemed so fresh and smelled absolutely clean. The bathroom sparkled and said the toilet was so clean he was impressed (we all know how hard that is sometimes for hotels. So hats off to the cleaning staff). Thank you guys for providing a home away from home for my husband. We'll see you soon Troy!

An all too common problem, when I used the shower after a LONG day of driving, the tub started filling rapidly. Very annoying and disappointing, but apparently hotels use the "run it until it breaks" method of preventative maintenance for this sort of thing.

After pedaling 50 miles in the cold rain during my cross country bicycle journey, I was so happy to end up here. The gentleman at the desk was very nice and quickly had my pointed to my room. My room was large, cozy, modern, clean and perfect to relax and warm up. I did not leave my room until the next morning (very quiet and cozy). On first appearance the lobby and rooms look nice and clean; however, they are not. Room smells a little musty, carpets are dirty. Our kids socks were disgusting after wearing them just around the hotel room. The pool is WAY too cold to swim in. The hotel lobby is much warmer than the pool room and water. I had called prior to reserving the room to check on the pool and there was no mention of the winter like conditions of the pool area. I was cold standing on the deck with a sweatshirt. The air conditioning unit in the room was covered in dust. I did not feel comfortable turning it on.

We stayed two nights while we were in town for a softball tournament at Troy. The front desk personnel was always friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The water gets extremely hot! There is breakfast but we did not partake as our current diet didn't allow however I asked the kitchen staff member if they had almond milk and they did! I would stay again.

Room was very clean and neat breakfast was on par maid service was outstanding. Because I was military I received additional benefits and rates. I will highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends

Great location for traveling through the area. Close to town which was very quaint and offered great places to eat and socialize. People at hotel very friendly and helpful. My only recommendation was for guests to be better placed in the hotel as the person next door was coughing all night. And the mattress was very saggy. Will take my chances and stay there again.

We stopped on our way home from Memphis. I looked online for listed hotels. The first two had a higher rate than what was stated online. Best Western rate was the same as listed and got just as many good reviews. The hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was amazing. The decor is on the darker side but overall nice.

Myself and my crew had been staying at this Best Western for 1 month we had been going home on weekends check in on Sunday night and check out friday morning and verifying with the front desk at the time of checkout that our reservation to be back that sunday night. Every time we showed back up we had no reservation and had to be a walk in. Then we were told that we had to check out early this past week because they had the rooms reserved for people coming for a band concert at the college but were not told to be out by thursday, they went into our rooms boxed all our belongings up and put them in a storeroom. They did so they could get more money per night from these other people. So when I reported this to Best Western Corp. they contacted the Hotel who then lies to Corp. to cover their back side and corp. takes their word for it and treats me like I am a lier. This is unacceptable as I spend over $1,000.00 per week on lodging for me and my crew, I will no longer ever stay at a Best Western again !!!

I've never left a review but my experience was so terrible that I just had to. The management was rude and unprofessional. Not only are they rude to customers but also to their other employees. I needed to speak to a manager and could not get in contact with anybody. If I could leave 0 stars I would. They need new management but until then I will not be returning, stay anywhere but here.

Management here is terrible!! I needed to get in contact with a manager and the front desk attendant called two managers numerous times and no one ever answered. Very irresponsible and careless of them

clean, comfy, and friendly staff., breakfast was highpoint with lots of fresh fruit, clean and well attended by staff. quiet, clean rooms with little outside noise on busy street. welcoming staff was greatly appreciated after long day on road.

We have stayed at this property before and will be happy to stay again. Very nice property....great rooms and staff. The food at the breakfast bar was very satisfying. We are always impressed with the welcome and the stay.

We stopped in for just one night on our way to PCB. This hotel is clean and the check in and out staff are great. Our room was very clean, King bed, quiet, spacious. The check in was easy and they even reminded me of the veteran discount. Street level parking and only two stories. Breakfast available each morning. Great stay!

Pros: good water pressure and nice hot water. Cons: tiny scratchy towels. Staff that does not seem happy to be there., they don't even say hello in the hall or the elevator. Apparently the maids decide if you can have a late checkout. Breakfast buffet staff was missing in action: no forks, gravy but no biscuits, no cups, no orange juice. Room had a musty smell. Front desk clerks seldom there or are on their cell phones when they are. Pillows are very flat and the sheets are rough. Mattress was decent. We Will stay someplace next time

Sherry and the whole housekeeping staff are great. Rooms are the cleanest I've ever seen. Front desk is always helpful. I will stay here everytime I come to troy. The breakfast is always hot and great!

great location for a travelor heading to Fl and for me being right on rt 231 was just what i needed to get some rest and then get uo and be on my way . Quick breakfast with a coffee was all i needed . I don't know what else to say other than the price and stay were really ok for me

The facility was very nice and the employees checking you in at night were very pleasant and helpful. Upon checking in with my family we needed a luggage cart and the employee checking us in went in search of one for us. The beds were comfortable. The only dislike we had were the towels in the bathroom were very rough.

The worst night I've ever had in a Hotel. I usually stay at Days Inn because its half the price but I thought what the heck I'll pay double and upgrade to what's supposed to be a better experience. Well sad to say it was the worst experience ever. Everything was great except the most important aspect of a hotel stay. The mattress was like sleeping on a concrete slab. Could not sleep at all. Finally called the front desk but was informed all the beds have the same mattress. Will never stay there again. The staff were very friendly and polite. There not the problem.

Best Western needs to learn what customer service means and then learn how to do it. My family and I stayed here for a family reunion. The hotel was ok. They have a hot breakfast every morning. We were only able to experience it once because our room was booked by someone else. Let me explain. We came for a family reunion. The organizer had reserved the rooms for the family. My husband booked the room. We arrived in the evening and the next morning had breakfast and headed to Montgomery. We arrived late that night and headed up to the room. Our key card was not working. My husband went to the front desk and they fixed the card. When we entered the room, we were wondering where our belongings were. We rushed back downstairs. After a lot of heated discussion with the front desk, apparently the room was only booked for one night. They said the manager tried to call us several times which is a lie. There were no calls from the hotel to my husband all day. They threw all our stuff on a bell hop cart. Our luggage was thrown together and the toiletries were put into garbage bags. We will take part of the blame for only booking for a night. But we were part of a family reunion and the rooms were reserved for a certain time period. We have phone records that prove there were no calls from the hotel to let us know that our possessions were in the room and they were going to remove them. I have no idea why they would fix the key to allow us in the room when they know there was an issue with the room. What if the occupants were in the room when we opened the door? That was not smart nor safe. Poor customer service and a dishonest manager. We will NEVER stay here again and next year our family will choose a different hotel. We have never experienced anything like this in our lives.

I never seen hotel like this, this hotel service is very poor, and customer service is horrible. WiFi was disconnected and when I asked front desk they give me a number to call and when I asked why you don't call them about your internet service, they said our manger said customer must call which is not right, room wasn't clean and bathroom wasn't clean as well.

overall the stay was nice. Only things I didn't like were the fact that they didn't have enough towels in the bathroom along with an extra roll of tissue and also, our last night there, there was a buzzing sound in the room all night I think it was coming from the smoke detector.

I had reserved a room and when I got there the inside of the hotel looked nice, but when I got up to the room there was cockroaches in the bathroom, on the tv stand, and multiple cockroaches in each bed. So I went down to the front desk with some cockroaches that I had killed. I asked if I could get another room but the employee at the front told me that he could not give me an available room but he would give me $15 off if I stayed in that room. So I then asked for a refund on the room and he had stated that he could not do that only a manager could do then I asked for the manager but conveniently there was no manager on duty. I left and was told that the employee will talk to a manager and see about getting a refund. Still haven't got a refund and guessing I will not get one. I do not recommend going to any Best Western because this is not the first time I have had a problem with cockroaches at a Best Western.

We stayed in Troy at this Best Western because we could not get into the BW plus down the road in the next town. The front desk staff was very family oriented, friendly and efficient. We did try to get ice, but neither machine was working and to me that is not acceptable. Other than that the place was just right.

Dirty Room and nothing done about it, Staff just said "Ew". Yes, that's all they said...2 different front desk workers and both said Ew when I told them about the dirty sock in the room. Noone ever came and got the sock... Yes EW! There was no Tv remote control..I ended up getting one the next morning. The bed was very uncomfortable, I don't know if it was an old mattress or type of mattress, I am normally not picky at all, but could not deal with that one. Maybe it was the thought of it being dirty with the dirty sock over in the corner of the room. I'm not sure. But I will NOT be staying at another Best Western, at least not that one.

We stopped here on our way back from Florida because it was a Best Western...should not have. Mirrors were dirty, floor dirty, furniture tops you could see smears all over like it had been cleaned with dirty cloth. Towels were very thin & DINGY. Only good thing was they had soft water. The bed you could feel the springs in the mattress while you slept. Our room was at the end of hall on first floor, so we used the side entrance which had a steep incline to the door so you needed 2 people to push cart up & someone to hold door open. Hallway carpet was filthy. No restaurants within walking distance here. Will not stay here again.

We have stopped here before and this time it was obvious that they had stepped up their game. Rooms were in good repair and clean. Front desk staff was helpful, professional and courteous. Outside was clean and neat and well-cared for.

From the outside it looks like a great place. That is where it ends. For example, how about the garbage sitting in the ice room area (pizza boxes, empty beer bottles, etc.) from when we checked in through when we left the next day. Isn't anyone walking the property to see what condition it is in? Or the shower bathtub that did not drain well. Yuck! Or the supposed queen size room that was so small only 1 nightstand could fit rather than one on each side of the bed; and no chair in room. Or the AC unit that could not be turned off. Plus the building is right up against US 231 so anyone staying on the road side hears endless traffic noise all night. We take this route often and will not be staying in this place again.

This hotel was sold out but staff was very friendly, it was quiet and the breakfast was well stocked and hot. The room was clean. I would stay here again. We even went to the campus of Troy University which is close by.

After staying in a different town the night before where literally everything was booked except for one room at a very poor quality hotel (it wasn't a Best Western), it was a very welcome relief to be staying at Best Western this night. We called during the day looking for availability, and the young lady on the phone was so polite and helpful in helping us make a reservation. The entire place was clean and easy to navigate- we checked in with ease and were so glad to stay in a clean room. I was disappointed at seeing no vending machines, but they did have drinks up front for purchase at least, and there were ice machines on each floor to fill our cooler. Breakfast was perfect- there were a variety of beverages available, and a good deal of food to choose from. When we checked out, the lady who was at the desk was also so polite. We are very grateful for their cleanliness and their kindness after a long work day.

Great check in service and the room was a good size with fridge and microwave. Room was clean and updated. Friendly staff and clean lobby will make me come back. Good location with several restaurants nearby.

My stay at this hotel was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is typical for a Best Western, which means that everything was clean, in good working order, and the property was the usual high standard that this brand represents. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it.

Did book now pay later and they pulled the money from my account. They said if it's an event happening they take the money in advance. Why have book now pay later as an option then? I will never book here again.

I do ALOT of traveling through that area from Florida to Tennessee and back. I ALWAYS stay at this location after using other hotels i have found this one constantly best for price, service, cleanliness. It is my go to place when using the 231/65 route and is my halfway point

My guest fell out the tile outside the front entrance. No concern for the welfare of my guest was shown by the staff. We were informed by the staff that there was no policy in place for the safety and welfare of the guest except an ambulance report.. Makes me very concerned. The water backed up in the tub during my shower. That was not sanitary to me. otherwise, the stay was OK.

I stayed at this property Nov29-Dec 2,2018...Room 232. I would say pretty standard hotel room, a little dark but neat with micro/fridge...pretty quiet. Staff was polite, Robin in the dining area was fantastic...continental bkfst with decent selection of items. There is sufficient parking space. Troy Univ and many restaurants within two miles.

Very clean and was in a convenient location. Close to the downtown and restaurants. Good place to stop with reasonable prices. Also had a decent breakfast in the morning. Typical motel for that price range, but I would recommend it.

Hotel of Horrors.... literally! Upon check-in, our family was impressed with the room and the service that we received. We spent the day around town and came back to our room tired from a busy day. About 10 minutes after laying down, I got up and turned the lights on to check on the kiddos... OMG! The roaches scattered across the nightstand and walls and floor... it was disgusting! initially thought I was seeing things... until I walked into the hallway where our son was sleeping in a crib and had to kill three large roaches on the wall above his pack and play. I went immediately down to the front desk where the nice receptionist didn't even dispute my claim but offered me a can of raid.... really!? I left m wife on guard to fend the bugs away from the sleeping kids and went to see if another hotel had any rooms. They were all booked which was unfortunate and we had no choice but to stay awake all night in this roach motel. Do yourself a favor... either find another hotel or drive back to the comfort and bug-less-ness of your own home.

I paid $145 night for a room where I couldn't even look outside. Everything was clean and worked properly. The hot breakfast items were mostly gone when I went to eat breakfast. I would recommend asking if you have an outside view before staying here.

Moldy smell, killed two roaches within 5 min. We asked to move rooms and the other room was even worse. Will never ever stay here again. It also took over 30 minutes to check in and we had a reservation. Paid $170 for this terrible room. Very very disappointed.

I was disappointed in this property. My first impression was that the outside was maintained well. The lobby was average. There is a damp odor when you walk in. Check in was fine. It looks like the hotel was recently renovated but poorly. More of a bandaid type fix with new carpeting. My biggest problem with this hotel is housekeeping/ linen service. Nasty stained towels. I couldn't really be sure they were clean. Most of our towels had stains on them. It wasn't a little stain on one towel that I could easily understand being missed. They looked as if someone with filthy hands had wiped their hands on them. It was that obvious. The replaced/clean ones were even worse the next day. Unless housekeeping has a severe sight impairment those towels should have never been allowed. They had definitely reached their expiration date. Stained and threadbare. The sheets were also fairly worn out. Ants were crawling around the night stand. We did not eat in the room to attract any so they must have been there before. In two days the elevator floor was never cleaned. I would recommend management purchase new towels/sheets and housekeeping does a deep clean before I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful caring staff, great rooms, very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the young lady staffing the breakfast area was so pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay again. By the way, if you do stay here, be sure and go to Troy University...beautiful campus AND they have some fabulous replicas of the Ancient Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors on display!!!!

this was one of the nicer best western motel i have seen for a while. room was clean, service was good, and the price was good. breakfast was good and they didn't remove breakfast until breakfast time was over. ths motel is a nice stay

We always stay here on our way to PC. They have comfortable beds. The rooms have always been clean and the check in is always easy. The also serve a very good breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was clean and nice. Beds are comfortable. Close to the college. We stayed here for a baseball tournament and they were more than nice. Anything that we needed they were more than happy to help with.

Let's start with the positives. The lady at front desk when we checked in (I think her name was Mary) was wonderful. The breakfast had a decent selection. The beds were okay but the bathroom was dirty. Like hair and dirt covering the floor and some hair near the tub wall looked like personal hairs that should not be laying around the floor. If they would do a better job cleaning I would give it a better review.

Staff was very friendly when I came in and were on top of things. Room was clean, a lot of space in the Queen room. Great shower pressure, but the sheets were rough and worn. The major problem was the WIFI, the signal was super weak and I did not pick up any WIFI during my stay so I couldn't work in my room, very frustrating. The gym was below minimal, also no AC in the gym, someone will pass out in there. Indoor pool was nice and the breakfast was pretty decent.

Room was not cleaned, hotel ran out of clean towels, items were stolen from our room. Totally not satisfied with our stay. Issue was reported to management, and I never received a follow up call after leaving my phone number and address, in case items were returned. One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had!

Full disclosure up front, me and the missus tend to stay in Hilton Properties. So we're used to that level of appointment, and that's not what Best Western is aiming for. Their rooms tend to be priced $50 a night cheep than Hilton properties, so the little things are missing (high end soaps and shampoos for example, or premium coffee in the lobby, or the little grocery store in the lobby) but the facility is clean, the room is comfortable, and the staff was friendly. If I was looking for a place to stay for a week I would probably want the extras, but for one night on travel it had everything I needed and the extra money usually spent on the room could go towards a nicer dinner. If you expect the Hilton don't go, if you want that pay the extra.

We love everything about this hotel except that in 9 nights, I was never able to keep an internet connection. I could log in but it continually dropped. I had to use my personal hotspot from my phone to get work done. New, higher quality sheets would be suggested for comfort. We love the people, breakfast, etc.

We have stayed here in the past and are alway's treated well by the staff. Good location close to reataurant's and gas station's. Comfortable bed and a decent breakfast. We travel with a freezer as we bring food back and forth with us and they have outside outlet's to use with no problem.s as they are right across from where we park.

We had a nice stay in Troy, Alabama. We were checked in very promptly even through we were about an hour and half before check in time. The room was very nice and well kept. Location was very good with a good choice of restaurants nearby.

After walking out of a filthy hotel a mile away, this was a pleasant relief. The desk and breakfast personnel were just great. The room was clean and inviting. All was repeat-worthy! The beds were comfortable, and my wife exclaimed that her troublesome back was good this morning. My only complaint is that I had to endure Fox and Friends during breakfast.

Room was very clean. Check in and check out was quick and painless. Breakfast choices were very good and good quality. No complaints and would stay here again. Also has indoor pool which looked to be in very good condition but I did not use it.

We went to see about buying a home in Alabama. We had to wait to get lender ; and the reality to see home. And get all the facts on the home ; so our stay was extended.we were on the way to mu husbands brother's home .

Clean, Safe hotel that was our midway stop on the way to Florida. Beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 teens. It wasn't the cheapest hotel, but that's not the most important factor for me when I choose a hotel. If we make the trip to Florida by car again - I will likely choose this hotel gain.

Visiting Troy University, we were very pleased with our Best Western Stay. The staff was so kind to me especially since In was recovering from a recent Spinal Surgery. The room was great.They have an Indoor Pool and best of all 10 minutes from the University, Surgery

We stopped here for the night with our 2 grandchildren and daughter on our way to Florida. They were able to get us adjoining rooms which helped a lot. The rooms were clean and the windows were able to open to let in fresh air. They have an indoor pool but it is not heated, so don't expect to swim during the cooler months. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of hot and cold items.

Great quality, good service. Would definitely stay here again. Clean rooms with plenty of space. Breakfast had lots of options and staff was very attentive. Easy to find and nice area of town and easy access to room.

I am very disappointed in this hotel stay. We always choose Best Western to stay and this one was a mistake. After traveling many hours due to a death in the family we stopped at this hotel because we were exhausted. The night clerk that check us in was very friendly and got us a room. This was about 9:00pm at night. At about 3:00am we heard banging and slamming like someone was coming thru the wall. It startled us out of a deep sleep. I waited to see if the noise was going to stop and it didn't I finally went out the door to see what was going on. It was the overnight clerk Joshua banging the pans around getting ready for breakfast. I asked him what was going on and he said “ it wasn't me.” And he walked away and turned the lights off as he was laughing. I said “ It is you and we are trying to sleep.” He said “ I said it wasn't me so it ain't me.” He then turned on the lights again and started banging around all while he was laughing. I went over to get coffee and he turned the light out on me. I asked him whay he turned the light out on me when I was clearly trying to get coffee and he told me that the coffee was for breakfast people not me and that I really was not allowed to have any until 6:00am which is breakfast. And turned then walked away. I went back to the room and as my husband and I were up and deciding to go back to sleep or to get up and go te bangibg started again and even louder. We decided to leave. When we went out to check out I walked down to get ice for my cup and Joshua started talking bad about me to my husband telling him I came out all crazy and yelling and screaming which I did no such thing. I asked him what his bame was and he refused to tell me and then proceeded to inform me that we could call and complain about him as he had job security and it would do no good to even call and complain because the manager doesn't listen to that crap and won't even call back so he knows he doesn't have anything to worry about. It is all good. Well he was right my husband called 3 times and she refuses to return our phone call. We did call corprate and spoke with them though. The sad thing is... a simple apology and him trying to be a little more quiet would have solved the whole issue. However his attitude and clearly the manager's nonresponsive attitude is very poor and unacceptable when it comes to working with the public. Will tell everyone and post everywhere I can about our poor treatment at the Best Western Troy Inn in Troy, AL.

Hotel decent, staff decent. besides the pool not being heated we thought we had a decent place to stay for a graduation. a total of 4 rooms were rented for my family alone.several children in our party including handicap children. The morning of graduation my grandson had an explosion out of his diaper and when my daughter went to clean him up she discovered there was no water. she then asked if our room had any and to my disbelief we did NOT! then my handicap brother had an accident and we were not able to clean him up. Out of the 12 in our party total of 4 rooms only 1 person was able to shower and clean up prior to graduation (due to insomnia) 11 people in our party had to do the best with the drip they had to work with. 4 people were not able to attend graduation due to the lack of water to clean up properly 2 adults (1 handicap) and 2 children. my son in law spoke with the woman at the front desk and she gave him a file # and the # to customer Service. when we called customer service we were pretty much told that they could not meet supply and demand that morning and it was not their problem. I'm sure this was not the first time this hotel has been booked out for a graduation especially seeing this was a midyear graduation so it was not even a FULL graduation. i'm sure this is not the first or last time this has or will happen and it is not acceptable by any means. I will NEVER stay in a best western again due to this experience. management and water supply needs to be addressed at the Troy Bestwestern

Stayed here overnight while heading back to Florida. On a positive note, the room was clean, bathroom and shower clean, and bed was comfortable. Shower curtain needs to be rounded and longer. Breakfast was adequate, but working toasters are needed and there was no orange juice. Overall, it worked OK for an overnight stay.

This hotel is horrible. The staff is incompetent. I was charged for two rooms and only stayed in one. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The hot water did not properly work in the room where I stayed.

The rooms were clean, comfortably furnished, and the internet -- which I needed to work during the stay -- was reliable. The staff was helpful, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety to satisfy everyone.

This was the only hotel that had rooms available during our visit to Troy and it was a place to sleep and we got what we paid for. The beds were comfortable enough but BW needs to invest in better vacuums (to pick up the crumbs), repair and maintain bathroom walls (very aged and rusted), and closer arms for the room doors.

They had no luggage carts,for carrying luggage in and out which was very difficult for our group of 9 disabled people. I couldn't sleep on stiff bed, I was crippled in my back from these hard beds. The office forgot to give us our wake up call which caused us to miss the event we came for. The breakfast was terrible, cold,out of all juices

Everyone was nice and the hotel was clean in general. The only downside is the bathroom floor was not clean - they really need to have a company come in and clean the tile and grout. Other than the bathroom floor, everything else was fine.

Stay at hotel for 1 night. Had planned on adding 2 more nights until I saw BED BUGS crawling on the walls and ceiling the next morning. Thank goodness I don't think me and my 6 year old grandson were not bitten but it made me totally sick! I advised the front desk clerk upon check and her response was "Okay, I'll tell housekeeping". Her response let me know that she was already aware their location had bed bugs! She did not apologize or offer any other courtsey for the disgust me and my grandson had experienced.

Never hotel that is comfortable, with friendly staff, a good hot breakfast buffet and overall good value for money. We enjoyed our stay and would both stay here again and recommend to others who are traveling in the area.

We Were very pleased with the hotel. Because of this, more that likely, we will choose Best Western again. We book around 20 motel rooms a year, so it makes a difference to us when we find a motel that represents excellence.

The room smelled badly like cigarettes. It was a non-smoking room. The employee at the desk said the hotel was full when I? complained. He was very nice and apologetic and said he had received similar complaints from other non-smoking rooms as well. We opened the window and were able to air out the room enough to tolerate it. I didn't know much about the location or what to expect and i may never travel this way again. I was only in town for a funeral and my experience was a good one. The hotel was clean, the staff interaction was good, and the location was ideal. I would recommend this location with a hesitation for anyone traveling to this area.

The property has been recently been remodeled. They used good materials and this property would compete with a recent built property. We were greeted by a friendly person at the desk, given good hotel information and was efficient in check in. No hotel room issues and efficient check out. Would stay there again if we were in the area.

The hotel was not up to best western standards. Room was clean but tired looking. Bed was not comfortable and I wasn't sure about cleanliness. Staff were very pleasant but did not take my requests seriously. Wi fi worked good. Breakfast typical. There was fresh fruit.

I have stayed at the Best Western numerous times over the past several years and was happy with my room. However, I stayed there Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th, and this time I must say that I was astonished at the condition of the toilet in my bathroom. To me this is unacceptable from the housekeeping of the hotel. The condition of the toilet indicates it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. I know this to be true because the young man on duty at the check-in desk came late that night and scrubbed the toilet and the stains were removable.

We generally come to Yroy 3 times a year on our way to visit family. This is our second time staying here. Nice hotel, staffed by nice people, with nice rooms and a nice breakfast. Rooms were clean and well appointed. One gripe is the same with all the chains BOTH sides of a bed need a nightstand!

My wife and I stayed here after a Troy football game. It is close to the school and stadium. It is new and the room was clean. They have an adequate breakfast served in the morning. Service and hospitality was good also.

We stayed one night while visiting family, room was clean and comfortable. Wifi worked great and free breakfast was very good! Only negative item would be the 100's of Cigarette Butts along side door area and in parking area. Other than that everything was great, would definitely stay in this Hotel again!

Great place to stay. Clean with nice amenities. The only negative was the breakfast was not very tasty. Add biscuits and gravy plus some fruit and add a coffee system that is easier to operate and you'll be 5 stars.

Decent stay with a great government/military rate during a Troy University home game weekend. And they had free breakfast and wifi. The rooms were clean, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

I usually stay at the Best Western when I visit Troy or the surrounding areas. I usually never have issues when staying on the second floor, but my last two visits to the ground floor have had issues with Roaches and Odor. The Odor is walking into a non smoking room and all you smell is smoke. I asked for a room transfer both times and once moved to the second floor all was well. So if you stay here second floor is best until they address the issues noted. Otherwise this hotel is fine, nothing fancy, pricing is good, people are nice to average, and the only other complaint was when the key card lock isn't working properly because the batteries are dead don't just replace one battery, replace them all and keep a record of it. Nothing frustrates a guest more than going to their room and trying to open a door that won't open. There are a good number of restaurants in Troy and nicer hotel options, but if you are on a budget then this hotel will fit most traveler's needs, just bring you a can of Raid.

Spent a week here as a result of hurricane Irma. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in spite of a full hotel as a result of Irma and a home football game. On the first night of our visit we can a water issue with the toilet. The maintenance man came quickly and worked on the toilet. We the issue reoccurred at 9:00 that night he came back, was friendly, and took care of it again.

We arrived in Troy a little earlier than planned so we were expecting to have to wait for a room. The desk found us a room that had been cleaned and met our needs. We checked in and went to the room almost 2 hours before the posted check in time. The room was clean and fresh and the timing was correct to catch up on the news. The desk gave us a few nearby ideas for dinner that we used. Early check out (5:00 AM) was easy and smooth. Thank you for a seamless stop on our trip.

What a blessing the people who live here have been.Most have gone out of the way to help us.The traffic has been bad at times but a lot of driver will let u in. There are a lot headed back south we will wait a few more days

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nicely decorated. The service staff at check in was very friendly and helpful. They have a full hot breakfast that was very good. Our bed was a little worn out and sagged in the middle and that kept me from giving it an excellent rating. We travel to Troy quite a bit to visit family and we will stay there again.

We had a good experience with this hotel when we stayed in June for Troy University's orientation. However when we came in August to stay while moving our daughter into her dorm - we weren't as satisfied. Several bugs 7-8 were seen crawling around the room including one on my pillow! We were told that pest control had just serviced the hotel two weeks prior. Also their AC ducts were cleaned so that could have been the cause. They didn't charge us for the 2nd night as we had to leave because they had no other rooms to move us to.

This was a lovely property and I would stay here again when in the area. The room was very clean and quiet. Very nice breakfast and nice staff. It's location was right off the highway. It was close to restaurants and gas stations.

Excellent hotel for the money. We have stayed here 1/2 a dozen times when we bring our daughter to school or to come visit. I recommend it to other parents. Clean, comfortable, and affordable. The breakfast is also very good.

Poor management, unprofessional staff, dirty rooms, cockroaches. The manager left her car parked under the covered area when it was pouring down rain, requiring elderly guests to have to haul their luggage out to their cars in the rain. Everyone that works there seems unhappy. It's unfortunate because the property itself is fine. We will never stay there again.

Hotel was very nice for the price. It was very clean but had a mildew/mold smell upon entrance to the room. There were several options for breakfast from hot to cold items and we never ran out of anything. We would stay here again if necessary.

Me and a few others came down for a University graduation. I stayed here and the others stayed at other hotels. My room was the meeting place and everyone thought it was better than theres and wished they had listened and stayed at the BW Troy Inn.

Stayed here 7/21/17. It's a BW so not expecting too much. But it felt like I was at a higher cost chain. Zero complaints. Cindy was super nice at check in. Facilities all worked properly. Room was fresh and felt newly remodeled. Whole place looked good. Why pay more. And yes, a great mattress and pillows.

I don't like Best Western's new colors & logo! This particular motel was o.k. The shower head was probably the best that I've ever experienced in a motel/hotel. However, that quality was offset by the tub drain being inadequate to drain the water fast enough to keep it from building up around my ankles. To me, this is inexcusable for a facility priced near $100. The bathroom door hinge squeaked when opening or closing, which is distracting in the middle of the night when an old person must get up for the bathroom. The breakfast area also was very nice and large for a motel. Again, however, on my particular stay that was offset by having no juice (machine broken and part on order) and no skim milk. Juice could have been provided with a simple trip to the grocery store until the machine could be fixed. The bed was fine but the pillows were hard, which is very uncomfortable for a person use to soft pillows. It seems that with 4 pillows on a bed at least one of them could be soft.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the interstate and not too expensive. We were surprised at what a nice facility it was. We will stay again as it is on a route we often travel. Thanks for a god night's rest.

We stopped here for the night on our way to Florida and it worked out great. Location was easy to find off the main road. Bed was comfortable and we were impressed with the breakfast selection. However, the bathroom was not very clean and we were only given 2 towels.

This hotel is conveniently located near Troy University and other restaurants and stores. The exterior of the hotel is fine, although it looks a little older. The rooms were nice. They look as though they have been recently renovated. The room we stayed in had a very musty smell upon opening the door. The air conditioning system is probably to blame for this. It seemed to blow, but not cold air. This made the room feel damp, and it was difficult to sleep. The beds were comfortable. Mattresses were very firm. Breakfast was ok. Staff was helpful.

Good for a quick stay passing through Troy. Quiet room even though we were close to the lobby and there was a large group staying there for a sports tournament. Right on the main road as you get into town.

If you are looking for clean and tidy, this is it. Beds are really too hard. not comfortable at all, breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. If you like nuked sausage, and hard fried eggs, then this would work for you. I tried it but was not impressed. I had driven over 12 hours the day before, Glad for reservation, and glad to be off the road. ready to lay down and sleep.....not having to fight the bed. Guess I am just spoiled to a very comfortable bed.

We stayed here to break up a 5 and 1/2 hours trip with a 15 month old.. Worked out great!! It was close to many place to eat and also grocery stores.. Easy to get to....The bed was very comfy. Everything was clean. Staff was very nice and helpful

We were traveling from Florida to Minnesota and needed to stop for the night. This hotel is clean, very quiet and a great place to stop. Troy is a college town so I'm assuming it gets busy during the school year, but in mid-June it was great. Would stay there again if the situation calls for a stop.

We booked a single night to break up the drive to the beach. We checked in late and the front desk worker seemed a bit aloof, but we got into our room fine. The room was clean, but not spotless. The plumbing drained slow, but overall the stay was good. Breakfast would get a 5/10 for me. The hot items were OK. They did have good yogurt/cereal and waffles. Overall I would stay here again if the price was right.

We come to Troy every year for Special Olympics held at Troy University. Last year we went form the Hampton to the Best Western Troy Inn and were very pleased with the hotel, it was clean, new, the people were friendly and the price was ten dollars cheaper. This year they were full and only had one employee on duty. Checking in was a joke, we got the same room assigned to someone else and walked in on them, had to go back to the desk, wait again to have a room reassigned. She spent her time on the phone helping guests, running around, getting batteries for a guest and whatever else she has hurriedly doing, one elderly person in our party was not happy with the sanitation of the bed sheets but could not get a hold of the front desk because the employee was buried with other guest's needs. We went to the front desk and waited while she did several other things to help others and we took bed sheets up to the room for her ourselves. When you have events in your town you know well in advance that you are going to be full. Why was only one person scheduled on duty!!?? This is very inadequate, indifferent or inept management. In the morning checking out, the same employee from the night before, was trying to keep up with the breakfast needs and was overwhelmed. I wanted a receipt because they charged my card when I made the reservation and the amount was different than what the rate showed when we checked it. There was another employee at a the front desk but was SLOW and did not have much of a sense of urgency even though there were several waiting. The printer was malfunctioning and she did not have a clue how to reset or fix it. I got a receipt that was not readable and she showed no concern for this so I asked her to email me the receipt but have not received it. Needless to say, with so many issues the management of this hotel is very inadequate. This is sad as they began so well. Next time in Troy we will rethink staying at the Troy Inn.

The staff at Best Western Troy is extremely professional and attentive, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was as good as you can expect for a free hotel buffet. I was very satisfied with my experience.

Everything was EXCELLENT!!! The room, check-in and out, and the wonderful staff. It was always 'Good morning, good evening' no matter what. Late check-in was also very easy!. If i am in the area again - I will definitely go back.

I booked a room on a last min whim. The staff was very helpful and check-in took no time at all. I enjoyed my stay! Staff made sure all my needs were met. They were doing some outside renovations, but I never noticed the noise and construction supplies were non visible. Staff made sure of notifying me of this before I checked in. Im a Troy Alumna and I visit from time to time. I def would stay here again.

Comfortable beds and a good breakfast. We had a group of baseball teams on the same floor. People need to be aware that they need to be quiet in the hallways after 10:00. We did notify the front desk. The person we talked with at the front desk told us she would talk with the people making the noise. It was quiet shortly after.

We had driven from Clewiston Florida and needed a place to stay. The hotel was a little out of town but it was clean. We drove back and had dinner at Sante Fe Roadhouse. Good food great service. There are many places to eat and get gas. The hotel was quite and just what we needed to rest for the rest of our trip.

Overall great experience. Ryan at check-in is an awesome young man with lots of hospitality and respect. Nice clean, quiet rooms. My wife takes forever to get dressed and they were accommodating when we were pushing the check out time.

The front desk gentleman was new and didn't really know much about the area and later he wasn't available and guests were waiting and the phone was unattended. Breakfast was minimal compared to,other places I have stayed with the same price for the room.

Have stayed at this location because of convenience. Always very friendly. Rooms adequate and clean. Toilets could be high-rise. Felt like we were sitting on the floor. Would definitely stop next year on our way to Florida.

Good location and friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast selection could have been better but it was okay. We choose the Best Western because of past experience with the brand. Would stay here again if in the area

Our king room was very nice, with a refrigerator and comfy bed. Breakfast was fine except there was no cooked oatmeal. Staff was friendly. Hotel a little hard to find as it is set off a bit from the road and the sign didn't stand out.

The facility was excellent. We had a new desk clerk check us in and out, whom we had little confidence in his ability. Our charges were messed up, however a woman jumped in and took over the problem and solved it to our satisfaction. A great place to stay!

Located close to several restaurants. The hotel was very quiet especially being close to the main roadway. The pm desk staff was very accommodating in finding me a quiet room. I would not hesitate staying here again when I am in the area.

Only thing missing was the Bacon. Had sausage, but no Bacon. Would highly recommend for stay if coming to Troy. Location was perfect to Troy University for football game. Will stay again if in the area. Super nice check in staff and very friendly.

OK place. Mattress was substandard both times I've stayed here given the price. Internet service wasn't up to par. It seems all the cleaning staff who smoke gather just outside of the main entrance in the morning and on breaks.

Great place to stay! Clean, courtesy staff, nice breakfast and great location! Only downfall was that they were renovating the indoor pool which is why we initially booked. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!!

We only stayed one night but room was spacious and beds were great had a good nights sleep ,Breakfast ok but no liquid creamers I hate the little powder ones ,they had flavors but not for me other wise ok ,

We have stayed at this Best Western several times on the way to Florida. It's a decent motel and nice town with friendly people.Small town atmosphere but modern and clean with a good selection of restaurants within 10 mins drive of the motel.

We nothing but good to say about it. Lobby, room, breakfast area really nice. We will definitely stay there again Very comfortable beds and pillows. Very friendly staff We're not used to the new Best Western logo so we almost missed it, so glad we didn't.

Everything was excellent with the hotel except the parking is limited. There is no road around the back of the hotel, which means if you have a trailer you have to back up (with difficulty) and turning around is almost impossible.

There was a dirty sock on the open shelf of the night stand. When we pulled back the covers to get in bed, there was pubic hair all over the sheets on both beds. Front desk staff switched us to a different room. There was no call from the hotel manager nor any price adjustment made for this situation. Unacceptable by any standards!

Good place to stay when going through Troy Alabama. The room was very clean and had every thing we needed. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice towels. Modern. It also very roomy which is nice when traveling. Hotel staff was very pleasant. Lobby was clean. Could have had a little more to offer for breakfast but what they had was good.

My stay here started awesome, flew in to New Orleans, drove to Alabama for a meeting with Troy University checked in at the hotel, Jessica , the receptionist was awesome easiest check in, Room was clean, nice bathroom, comfy bed, great big TV and fast WiFi. we needed to stay past check out and do a later one, we were told that was no problem due to that the hotel was more than half empty, the next day early AM I went to the receptionist and she was rude saying that couldn't be done due to that she had to have her rooms cleaned right away at 11:30am so the person who went accompanying me had to stay outside until I finished my meting so we could leave Ive stayed at thousands of hotels multiple brands and Ive never had this issue anywhere especially in small towns.

We stay there for an overnight travel through, I was very surprised at how nice it was for the price. Very clean, very fresh, and breakfast was great. Everything was in order, the staff was nice and accessible. Would stay again. Park lot was well lit which made me rest easier. Easy access to the highway.

Several items broke in the room and the front desk was no help to fix them. The beds are hard as a rock! No comfort at all. Comparing it to the Hampton Inn, Troy for a few dollars more, you get so much. I would ONLY recommend this hotel if ALL others are booked in the area.

We stopped here for the night on our way to Florida. We checked in at 3am, & the receptionist was very friendly. Our room was right next to the elevator/lobby, which made me nervous, but it was really very quiet. The room was clean, & the bed was comfortable. The shower had a good temperature range, & the pressure was great. The free breakfast was pretty standard, but there was only 1 orange left. I would have liked a few more fruit selections, but that's my only minor complaint.

We had reservations at this hotel on our travels from Florida to Michigan in June. We were greeted as guests. Our room was very well prepared and very clean. The breakfast was a much welcomed amenity because we needed to be up and on the road early.

Everything went well during my stay. The breakfast was good, but certainly there was no friendly breakfast welcome as happens in many other Best Westerns. Check in went smoothly. The parking lot is a little too small for the size of the hotel. I stayed here one night on a road trip.

The personnel were very kind and helpful. The elevator only has 2 floors to contend with, but is very slow and has to be reset occasionaly by clerk. The toilets are extremely hard to flush, you almost think the handle is going to break before it works. According to the clerk all of them are like this. The remotes for the tv is pitiful and when I went to change it out, I saw a drawer with about 10-12 in it and was given one that would work everything but channel up,an hour later it quit working also. Breakfast was less than I'm used to in other motels offering hot breakfast. Other than this bed was good and so was shower.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was clean and just like promised on the website. Would definitely stay here again. It was very easy to get in and out of and very convenient to everything that we needed to do and the price couldn't have been better.

We stayed 3 nights. It was clean and convenient to downtown St. Louis. The serve a great hot breakfast. The hotel is across the street from Cracker Barrel and is close to the interstate. However, we did not have any problems with traffic noise.

My son and I took and impromptu trip to Troy. My 5 year old son has asthma. Cigarette smoke is an irritant that causes his asthma to flare up. Therefore, I cannot just stay anywhere. When vacationing, I ALWAYS request a smoke free. There have been times in which I arrived and a room reaped of cigarette smoke, yet it was a smoke free room. I am please to share that the Best Western Inn in Troy, AL is a great place to stay. This hotel was easy to find, cozy, clean and truly SMOKE free. They have an indoor pool too. I highly recommend this facility for your next stay in the Troy area.

We stayed her for Softball playoffs. Check in and out was very easy with friendly staff. Some confusion as to our reservations but fixed fast. Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent location near Sportsplex and University, but still in a very quiet area. Housekeeping staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Hotel offers a free breakfast, including eggs, bacon, cereal..etc. Better variety then expected. We did not try it due to several softball teams in breakfast room (extremely crowded), as we decided to go somewhere less crowded due to our time restrictions. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was better than expected with bacon, sausage, eggs, gravy, biscuits, juice, milk, coffee, and a variety of cereals, toast and bagels. Nice fitness room next to the indoor pool that was really cold, but would be great after a good workout. Heated pool would have been better. Quiet area. We will definitely return.

This is a very nice hotel, location quiet, on a hill away from traffic. Check-in was smooth and the desk clerk was pleasant & courteous. The hotel, our room and the bathroom was clean, nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, had a good night's rest. At breakfast the cold hard-boiled eggs were fresh, but the hot food looked awful, with artificial, very greasy eggs, and the staff person handling the breakfast area continually scowled. looked angry. At check out the desk clerk was as courteous and provided good customer service. We did inform the desk clerk about the breakfast staff's behavior and lack of food quality. Nonetheless, when in the area we would stay there again, but may make different breakfast plans.

This was our second stay at the Best Western Troy. It is a well taken care of property. The rooms are very clean and the whole place is well taken care of. Staff were all very friendly. The breakfast choices are better than lots of other motels. Beds are comfortable. The only negative: Not sure how a room can be $20 more per night than a year ago.

After a long day of driving south toward Florida, we found the Best Western Troy Inn, in a quiet location on the north side of town. Check in was great, as was our King Size room for just $79. Everything was clean, modern and comfortable. Great bed and bathroom. Would plan to stay there again when going that way. Also had a great supper at Lee's China Buffet in town.

Nice, new, near highway. Bed was fine. Windows do not open which is bad, so you are forced to use the fan air conditioner at all times. Breakfasts should be healthier. Staff were fine - we did not use the gym so cannot comment about that Was there for two nights. Bed was fine. Best Westerns are generally reliably clean and okay and this one was. Be careful if you book through a third party online you won't get your reward points. Too bad.

I do not recommend staying anywhere else but the Best Western in Troy. This is a newer hotel and the best we could find in town. Because of that it's a little more expensive than the other places, but the quality of the hotel is so much better. This place was clean and well taken care of. I had no concerns about safety or cleanliness while staying there. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was the usual, staff was friendly and helpful. It's a little bit out of town and can be a little hard to get into/out of the parking lot if traffic is heavy, but other than that it's very nice.

Newer looking hotel on the north side of town. The room was very clean. Too bad there is no microwave in the room but we had access to the one in the breakfast room. Breakfast room was fully stocked and clean with the usual breakfast hot item of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and waffles. Not really within walking distance of other restaurants. Stayed 2/15/16

Traveling thru AL visiting w family and stopped in here for the nite. It had new carpet and paint. Bathroom was very clean and bedroom the same. We had a pleasant stay. Did have typical door slamming noise in this caliber of hotel...it was expected so we were put out by it. Staff was very pleasant.

The Best Western Troy Inn is a nice, clean and friendly hotel. The night desk person was very helpful in getting our room booked. The hotel had been booked up on the night we needed, but he had just had a couple of cancellations. After we arrived, while waiting in the lobby, at least two people came in looking for rooms. He told them that he was sorry, but they were booked for night and offered information on what hotels in town that he had heard might have openings. I would stay here again, for sure.

Pleasant stay at a very friendly and well maintained hotel. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The only negative about this stay was that the exercise/fitness room only had three pieces of equipment. The indoor pool was open and was nice, but not heated. However it still was a pleasant stay.

My wife and I were travelling to Florida for our holidays and had enough travelling for the day and decided to stay in Troy Ala. We were looking for a Best Western as we have experienced good stays before at these Motels and they always have a good breakfast. We were greeted warmly and the gentleman helped us with directions to restaurants and a good carwash. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable which is nice after a day of driving. I would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel before and will in the future. It is a fairly new building on the north side of town. It is right off the main highway going through town but it is a quiet location. Everything was clean and fresh. The breakfast was nice.

Everything was great EXCEPT it advertised an indoor pool in the coupon book, which it had, but was not heated. Our stay was in January and the water was to cold to swim : ~ ( The pool ceiling had water damage and plaster was on the floor and chairs.

We stayed at this hotel while traveling to visit family for the holidays and it was wonderful. The lobby was beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly. The location has a beautiful view. We would recommend this hotel.

I've stayed here twice now and I'd say this is a nice hotel overall. I've stayed on the second floor (they do have an elevator) and the bottom floor and the top floor was cleaner and had less bug evidence as my room on the bottom floor had. Neither room had microwaves, so I'm assuming all rooms do not have Microwaves unless they have some in upgraded rooms. The rooms do have a refrigerator, and have a more modern feel. Bed sleeps pretty good and pillows are ok. There are no weird smells or anything crazy. Staff was fine, but could have been a bit friendlier on both of my stays, but did respond quickly to my requests. Outside is well lit and seems to have ample parking. The hotel is in Troy, but you will have to drive a couple miles back into Troy to get to most restaurants. I will stay here in the future, but recommend they pay a little more attention to the bottom rooms since it was noticeable to me with a few spider webs in the ceiling corners and did kill one small roach. I would recommend to the hotel that they add inexpensive microwaves to all rooms. It is convenient, especially to guests staying more than a night. If you are looking for a good restaurant I haven't eaten at many restaurants here, but Rodeo Mexican restaurant was really good and Santa Fe Cattle Company was good too. I did not enjoy Mikata Japanese Steakhouse however and don't recommend it unless you've never eaten Japanese elsewhere because I've eaten far better elsewhere of that cuisine. I haven't eaten breakfast here as I usually go to Chick fil A for that, but seemed like you basic continental style breakfast.

Was in town for a Softball Tournament - the Hotel was very nice, very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was booked up as there was a lot of activity going on in town even with all of the kids in the Hotel it was very quiet. No problems at all and will stay again in the future.

Front desk staff was helpful, hotel is fairly new looking. Although it was booked for the weekend it was still quiet. This is not our 1st time to stay here and housekeeping leaves something to be desired. May try another hotel for our next stay.

Stayed overnight on our way to Panama City Beach with family. We love it because it is about half way for us. Friendly staff and very clean facility. We checked in late which was no problem. This is our third time staying at this particular hotel and we have never had a problem.

Check in was easy and quick. The room was clean. The beds slept very good. Now let's talk about the TV........ I wanted to watch Survivor........... the tv kept cutting out due to poor digital reception. I called the front desk and was told to turn the cable on the back of the tv. Being only 5 ft. tall, I called the front desk, the employee came quickly and messed with the cable on the back of the unit. This didn't help. He said it was because they had "Troy Cable and everyone has switched except this hotel. " and that some channels were better than others. This was the only CBS channel I could find......so I didn't understand much of what was happening. The next morning when I went to check out the weather........ the channel list listed channel 12 for the weather channel...... not on my tv.. it was some local channel. When checking out the next morning, the tv in the lobby was on the weather channel. I asked what channel this was and they said 12. I explained what was happening with the tv in my room. The told me someone had turned on the wrong cable and I just needed to switch it to the right one. Well like I would know that !! I don't have cable and I know nothing about cable. I think the evening guy should have known more about it than I did !! The only response I got from the morning crew was a very weak "sorry" I feel I got cheated !!

Overall good place to stay. Hot breakfast does leave something to be desired. Needs to be better. Biscuits hard. Process bacon taste bad. Bread stall. Coffee very good. Pastries taste like they were several days old. Bad hot breakfast.

Rooms are clean. Beds are absolutely awesome. Breakfast definitely up to par. Travel all over the country and this is an excellent hotel. Would definitely recommend it. Staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful.

Best Western, Troy, Ala is a beautiful, clean place to stay. The rooms are decorated nicely and the bathrooms are extra large which we loved. The bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious!!

The staff was friendly and professional. The staff made this a great stay. The front desk staff were very helpful. The house keeper did a great job. The hotel was located near my work place. Great value for the money. The room was clean and very comfortable.
