Location in the process of upgrading; a very good and necessary thing. Staff need to fully embrace BW Model; they did pretty well. The desk did offer me the Gift Bag for Member status; thank you; this is rarely done; the Room was great as it had the Island mini-kitchen (wet bar) i think you call it; this is a great unique element to these rooms. Rate is Better than most. Thank you.

In the middle of construction but it didn't brother us at all. A few guest were very hard on thr staff and understanding of the hard work they are putting in to improve the property. We enjoyed pir stay, the room was clean, staff was pleasant and breakfast was great.

There was dust all over the counter and tables in the breakfast room so badly that I took my food to my room to eat. There is a nasty stench throughout the entire hotel and even in the rooms. None of the exterior doors lock even though there is a key card access required they don't lock. It took me on average 5 to 10 tries to get my room door open every time and I was there for 4 days and 3 nights. The elevator is dirty and ridiculously slow. The stairwells have carpeting from probably 20 years ago and has a very bad smell in them. The bed sunk all the way to the bed frame when I laid in it and when I tried to get a new room for a better bed they said they were sold out and could not move me. I lifted the sheet and the label showed a date of 2003 for the mattress being extremely old. Many people write bad reviews because they're angry about something silly but I promise you that you do not want to stay at this hotel and Best Western should dump them as a franchise portfolio holder.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The rooms were dated with stains on the ceiling and plaster falling off, dresser looked as if it was found on the street, curtains couldn't close and a worker was peeking into our room. Never stay at the Sure Stay

Staff were pleasant. When I checked in it was Alicia and Seth and when I checked out it was Shelly and Lexi. Everyone was very polite and helpful. They're smiles made my day. I got a room on the third floor; they made sure all my needs were met and for that I will be going back !!

I will never stay at another best western after staying here, the staff was unfriendly my phone didn't work, there is no hot tub, the business center was not operational and any attempts I made to resolve my issues were met with anger and hostility.

The morning staff that cooks and prepares the breakfast are friendly and make the best breakfast in California and everything is always clean. "Cockroaches inside hotel room bathroom"

There were cockroaches in the bathroom in our room (photos/video can be provided) I discreetly informed the staff at the hotel & the best they could offer was a discount off the room with the excuse that we had already stayed a night in the room & that the cockroaches could have come from the pipes, not the hotel which doesn't make sense considering the pipes are INSIDE the hotel. It just so happened that we saw the cockroaches the morning following our arrival. Obviously if we had seen or known this hotel had cockroaches the night we arrived we would not have stayed & wasted our money on this facility. Absolutely disgusting.

The desk personnel seemed bored and not eager to see you. The bed was OK but the pillows were too high and I woke up with a neck ache. Everything was very clean and worked well except the internet. It was very slow and I gave up using it. The coffee pot was not near any outlets so I had to move it to my night table and plug it into a lamp.

The staff is great, they greet you the moment you walk into the lobby and do so throughout the whole stay. Front desk staff is very friendly and supply you with a welcome bag. The breakfast staff is on top of things. They keep the area clean and stocked and acknowledge you. The housekeeping staff is all smiles and willing to give items off their carts which is so convenient. The property needs some updating but it's well kept and the rooms was clean. We will be staying again if in area and in need of a room.

We stayed for one-night and even though the hotel is need of some updating the rooms are clean and the staff is great. Each individual was helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention ready and willing to help us with questions and even our bags. We had a wonderful experience.

This hotel is nothing fancy but the rooms are clean the breakfast is free and thr staff is wonderful. We stopped here on way back home from a family trip to the mountains and it was perfect! Located right off the freeway, fast food and gas station close by, free breakfast and great customers service. We will be back.

Everything seemed broken here. Stains everywhere carpet to ceilings, doors didn't work right and the bathroom was falling apart. Had to use my shoulder to force the entry door open. There is a reason it was fairly cheap it was a dive.

Horrible experience. My family & I we're kept all hours of the night from noise next door. I complained to hotel staff about this but nothing was done to rectify the problem despite complaining a few times. The room smelled and there was issues with the Internet. The bed was also unconfutable.

The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes. The carpets were filthy. The room had an odor that smelled like cleaning spray was used to cover the smell. All the furniture was falling apart. The mattresses were probably found on the side of the road. The blankets were very thin. And I paid $156! Dive motel and total dump.

Our King ADA room was very comfortable, especially the bed, EXCEPT FOR the hotel mandate that you can choose to have a room with more than one chair, but not if you also want an ADA room. The rest of our experience was quite nice.

I can write a lot about what's wrong, but main cons: cleanliness, maintenance/handy man jobs needed, smoking (even though they assured me it wasn't at check in).. pros: great shower head, decent toiletries, breakfast seemed to look good(didn't get any). But definitely won't stay again.

The staff work hard and are very friendly. Always wanting to assure your stay is exceptional. Love that they have hot breakfast every morning. I love the fact they are Pet friendly. They tend to accommodate your needs as much as possible. The rates are Fantastic.

The hotel was nice, guest services was amazing! Breakfast was okay, I think it should be offered till 10 AM on the weekends.Cleanliness of the room was average, could use that extra touch. Room layout was good but had a lot of furniture. All in all I would def recommend this hotel considering the value and location.

I was on the 2nd floor. The front desk attendant was nice enough, in fact she was pretty awesome. She was talking with the manager on her cell phone when I was waiting to check in, and from her side of the conversation it was about guests she'd just checked in and after they'd gone to their room the credit card had declined and she didn't know what to do. I went to my room with my dinner, got comfy and the TV wouldn't turn on. Two remotes in the room. Neither worked. I called the front desk. No answer. I called the front desk again. No answer. I went downstairs (I'm handicapped too so this wasn't an easy thing!) and she was eating her dinner and I had both remotes in my hand and told her neither worked, nor did the power button on the TV. She changed the batteries and apologized saying the phone didn't work at the front desk. I said then you need to come up with me and see if this works, and if it doesn't move me to another room. She promised to watch the light on the front desk phone, because it would "sometimes light up even though the phone wouldn't ring." Sure enough, she picked up when I called to report the TV still didn't work. She came up, moved me to a room across the hall and waited while I checked it out to make sure everything worked. I noticed the first room door was still open, as it had been when I'd gone downstairs, and told her that not only did the TV not work but the door didn't close properly. She promised to take the room and put it on the "do not use" list until it was repaired. I managed to calm myself down, watch TV until I fell asleep despite the smell. The carpet is filthy, and smells horrible. The bed mattress slides so every time you move around in bed the mattress moves on the foundation. And then the icing on the cake is the guests a couple of doors down had piled up garbage, stinky garbage, outside of their room. It looked like it had been there for 2-3 days and stunk to hell. I won't go back. There are other BW hotels in the area much better. I went to this one to save a few bucks this time and that was a mistake. You get what you pay for.

Broken dresser handle, broken toilet cover, rips in bed bug cover so it was basically useless, tub drain wouldn't seal so I wasn't able to bathe my kids after being out of power at home for 6 days. Dings and scratches all over the walls and furniture. Door was super difficult to close. Lights were so dim I felt I was at home with no power and lanterns again. The bed was all springs. I almost went to the floor in the middle of the night. The only perk was a decent breakfast in the AM, hot water and heat were good.

I appreciate that the property is in a safe area and fairly clean. It is a short drive to the heart of Sacramento and easy access to the freeway. The property was well kept, but could use some updating in the rooms. Overall the location for the price is well worth it.

The website makes this hotel look nice and updated when in fact it is the opposite. The hallway carpets are stained all over, the rooms are very outdated with paint chipping everywhere, and there is NO Jacuzzi! The pool is also not very clean and turning green, and it's not heated. The breakfast was the only good part. Not worth the money I paid.

This was arguably the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The floors of the lobby, elevator, hallway and room were disgusting. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Our bathroom light was tagged, and there was a hole in the wall where the tissue dispenser had been ripped out. The room itself was tidy but the baseboards were coming off the wall in places. It didn't seem like the A/C - heater was working. The bed was the most uncomfortable and the sheets wreaked like cigarettes. The sheets! Aside from being gross and uncomfortable, the room was terribly noisy. All in al, this was the worst. I will not be back and you should fine somewhere else as well.

Room wasn't ready and I had to wait an hour and a half past my check-in time. Shower curtain rod was coming off the wall and I was worried about it hitting me in the head. I notified housekeeping but to no avail. It could have been a real liability

This was the dirtiest hotel. Full of holes, trash, broken fixtures. The stench of mold and dirt was nauseating. It looks nothing like the pics and stole our money and we never stayed and they kept a nights fee.

It's hard to think of a positive thing to say about this hotel. From the worn, filthy elevator to the ugliest hall carpets imaginable, a coffee maker in the room that didn't work plus, on three of four days, no coffee downstairs (how hard is that?). We left the hotel one morning to witness the heavily tattooed desk clerk standing just outside the front door smoking a joint. Legal, yes, but pretty weird. Downstairs in the breakfast area were groups of clearly impoverished people from God knows where and not one with a mask (and I'd wager not one vaccinated). This is a motel marred dereliction, worn furniture (we refused to sit on the couch after my wife first wiped the top with a slightly damp towel that instantly turned black), a tv with terrible reception and employees who, sorry, looked like former gang members (and maybe not "former". This place is horrible.

After reading all the previous reviews on this hotel I was very reluctant to stay there. I chose to stay there because they offered availabilities for pets. But all the previous reviews were accurate. The grounds of the property are not kept up and the inside of the property definitely needs some maintenance and updating. Cleanliness was fair but the floors were filthy and the room with the icemaker, candy machine etc. one of them was leaking and so there was always water on the floor

Hotel is close to freeway and many restaurants. Noise from the freeway was not noticeable. Parking was easy with handicap spaces with room to maneuver the car. Space for trailer. There is a superior German restaurant just across the street Kathrin's Biergartin. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Rocklin.

This hotel was very dirty, rundown and unsafe. The hotel was in need of a complete renovation. We knew it was sketchy when we drove up and cops were handcuffing someone out front. And a guy was sitting out in the parking lot in his car with all the windows rolled down, music blaring and looked like drug sales going down. It all was very concerning. When we walked in the building the carpet and tile was really dirty, stained and smelly. Walked into our room and immediately smelled cigarette smoke. We took pictures of everything that needed repair. The freeway was loud too. Just terrible!

Where do I start. I almost ALWAYS stay at Best Westerns when I can and when they are available. I travel A Lot so I am well versed in how most Best Western hotels operate. This was the first time I stayed at one of their SureStays and it was also the last. NEVER AGAIN!!! I was in town for business and I had my disabled mother and my special needs child with me. It was late when we checked in. First of all the surroundings were trashy. Lots of people loitering around the parking lot and there were people smoking pot and cigarettes near the back entrance. It honestly felt like a Motel 6 both outside and inside. The lady working the front seemed nice but very very unprofessional. Second, the room was supposed to be handicap accessible and on the first floor. They only had a hung bedroom downstairs but assured me the room I have on the second floor would work. It was a small room, not at all handicap accessible and the room was supposed to be two queen beds. Well it was NOT, it was one queen and a double (I measured them trust me). I was too tired to deal with it as I had been traveling most of the day. We made it work for the next day as we were planning to check out the following morning so we technically were only sleeping there two nights. The next day we found the lamp by the bed broken with no bulb in it (thank God my daughter didn't stick her hand in there). There was mold grown by the dresser, the box spring was torn and the mattress cover was stained. The plan was we would get up early on morning #2 (checkout day), we would load the vehicle, checkout of the room, and I would drop my mom and daughter off to my aunts on the way to my meetings. Well I start to take items to our vehicle and the elevator isn't working. I asked the front desk when it would be fixed and I was told they didn't know. I couldn't load everything as there were items my disabled mother and special needs child would need. So I had to leave them in the room while I went to my all day meetings. I get a voicemail at 11:43am that the elevators are fixed and checkout was at 12. I tried working with the manager and to no avail she wouldn't budge. I explained that we would have been out at 6:30 had the elevators been working. Her response was “we have stairs”. I asked how was I supposed to get my disabled mother down a flight of stairs and her response was “call the fire dept.”. I called customer service and they even tried to get her to cooperate. She finally agreed to give us until 1pm. I left my meeting to get back and get them out in the mean time the manager called up to the room and told my mom if we weren't out she was going to call the cops. I got to the room and my mother was so panicked. We got out of the room by 1:01pm and we got charged. I fought it with Best Western (they are the parent company) but nothing could be done. I will NEVER stay at this place nor would I recommend ANYONE to stay here. Horrible management/Ownership and just a total dump!!

Our stay was hampered from the very beginning with a significantly damaged front to the facility (grass completely uncared for- grass missing from people walking across it causing a “path” Of dirt with worn walking areas within the grass area. Front of lodging was difficult to find. Front of building was dirty and not appealing in any regard.

My son actually asked this question when we checked in based on the "guests" in the lobby. Looked like a long term living and nursing facility. The condition of the room was awful with dirty a/c, holes in walls and carpet torn off the floor.

There weren't a lot of choices in the area, so we booked this place. I've stayed in plenty of budget hotels around the world, and if it's clean and the service is friendly, that's all I need. The service at the Surestay Plus was okay, but the room carpet was disgusting (dried gum, stains everywhere, and sticky) and although the rest of the room was better, it was not great. The public areas were also nowhere near as clean as they might have been, and the staff seemed to be interested only in doing the minimum. I saw one desk clerk across several days glued to her phone whenever I passed, and although she put it down to take care of my check-out, I could not help but wonder, "Don't you have anything to DO???" But I don't blame the staff. That's a management issue. Once I got home, I tried to contact Best Western, but their "Contact Us" form goes to a 404 page. I DMed them on Twitter and got a very quick reply saying that "Customer Care" would be in touch, but ... they never were. If you have any other choices, don't stay here.

This place is a dump! When we checked into room a porno movie was playing on the TV, someone had obviously been sitting(?) on the bed and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. They moved us to another "upgraded" room which was barley passable. We were booked to stay 5 nights but moved out after 2. Right next door is a Comfort Inn that was like a 5 Star resort after this dump.

This hotel is a dump. People stay here to live off the streets and with non trained dogs that pooped in hallways and bark all night. The rooms are gross and Dirty. The rooms had a body odor smell and sheets were never replaced. The staff were rude and did not want to take the time to listen and investigate the issue. There were intoxicated people sleeping outside their room in the hallway. There are no security at all. This place is god awful.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to surrounding water spots. It was less than a 10 min drive to both the American and Sacramento River. Also 10 mins or less drivetime to get to Lake Folsom. The room was clean, staff was friendly, beds were okay...not the typical ultra comfy best western mattress, but it wasn't too bad. For under 100 bucks with tax and everything on Saturday night was a steal.

Pictures found on Booking.com must be very outdated. the outside of the buildings and the grounds were very unkept. The inside of establishment as well as the rooms were very outdated and in disrepair, even the door handle of the bathroom door was missing. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable but because of the old and unkept furniture, walls, etc. it gave you a feeling that it was not clean. As a travel agent I definitely would not book a client into this establishment.

Apparently the security guard takes his job VERY seriously. I awoke early and didn't want to waken my brother in law who was still sleeping. So went to lobby and sat in a chair ALONE in the dark and read news on my phone. I was then told I couldn't be there (lobby not even open) not a soul in sight. I explained what was going on but was told to leave. I asked if I could take a chair outside to sit. NO! Apparently I might decide to steal It?? No idea. I was told I DIDNT have to stay there there if I didn't want to by Bobby at the front desk. Wow.

There was a domestic violence incident in the room next door. People were smoking a lot of marijuana in the non-smoking rooms that filled my room with the stench. Out of Grab and Go breakfast at 6am (started serving at 6am). Young gal running desk all night was not capable of handling the problems from the disruptive guests.

The first night I was put in a room that the heater/air conditioning didn't work then I got moved at 1am to another room which was better but then I asked to extend and was told a rate of 70.18 to extend then I find out I was charged or $90 and the manager won't even call me back to deal with it

Just don't do it. I was approached and solicited for being a prostitute !? My husband and I were woken at 1:30 am with screaming and cursing apparently someone jumped through the window of the third floor. Broke it first Ofcourse then came up and socked some girl in the face. In the morning, The front desk lady was so non chalant about the whole thing like it was normal. The stairway smells like piss and cigarettes. The cleaning staff and maintenance personnel were nice and courteous. I can't believe I paid to stay here, please do not waste your time.

This hotel is by far the dirtiest, worst kept hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. This is not an exaggeration. There was literally trash everywhere, carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in years, light fixtures broken through out the property, deadbolt lock on door did not work. Coffee maker did not work in the room and we found cigarette butts and other trash under our bed. I took an early trip out to our car only to find homeless people sleeping in the lobby. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!

The hotel is old and decrepit. The elevator was inoperative and we had to carry luggage 3 floors. The room smelled and was very noisy. Both some staff and guests were not wearing masks despite signs requiring them.

The stairs and hall way had piles of fast food trash, food waste, and cigarette butts on the ground. The room didn't appear to have been dusted and the coffee maker still had dirty grounds from whenever the last guest had stayed. The shower leaked and somehow they had the wrong shape toilet seat on the toilet. Our bed only had two sheets and no other blankets, so we had to phone the front desk for blankets and the individual was unable to bring them up as he was solo that night.

Do not stay in the hotel unless you are a trashy person who doesn't mind the smell of pot. The whole 2nd floor reeked of pot, I booked a 2 queen bed room and received a room with 1 queen and 1 double and was adamantly told it was 2 queens. There was a fight outside my room and it went on for over 15 minutes and no security ever came to break it up. People sit at the entrance door smoking. The parking lot was always filled with loiterers. The sheets were stained when we got in the room. There was hair in the sink. We were supposed to have a ground floor and when trying to check out the elevator was broken and I couldn't get my disabled mother or daughter out and then we were told we would be evicted. If I wasn't so tired from moving, I never would have stayed the first night. Only one staff member was decent, the rest were rude especially the manager.

This hotel is situated behind some fast food restaurants, in a nicer part of town, so we felt safe here. The beds have somewhat scratchy sheets, on the old side. The rooms are pretty used, which you can tell from the many gashes, scratches, chips, etc. on everything. Surprised to find a very dirty bedside table. We just made sure not to take our socks off and kept everything off the floor. If you need a quick night's sleep, this place works, but I wouldn't book it as a place to linger, relax, stay in for some time.

This place is just a step up from a hostel I stayed in around Compton, CA. I'm not a prima donna, and the reviews seemed positive. I'm not sure where these positive reviews are coming from, not from people staying here. The girl at the front was very friendly, that's the end of the pros. Tweakers hanging around outside at all hours. Nothing's been cleaned, not hyperbole. Our car has some stuff in it because we are moving, and if I hadn't been forced to pay up front without cancellation available, I'd have split. My friend came to visit and mentioned this is a rough area, closer to roseville is better. I hope my belongings are in my car when I get out there in the morning. :(

This hotel was dirty, the front desk staff would not come to the counter and sat at the back room desk with her head down on the desk. The room was very dirty, likely was NOT cleaned since the previous guest. There were at least one drug dealer going on in the hallway when we arrived. The guest were loud in the hallways and in their rooms. The staff did not care if the guests were pleased with the property or no.

Wife booked this hotel while traveling down the road. It was late upon our arrival. Several group of people hanging around outside. But as a non smoking hotel, most were smoking. The room was OK, on the ground floor. TV and AC were OK, Bed was good. Not great, but OK. While outside smoking the next morning and police office drove through, So I talked with him. Without being to negative, he didn't have anything good to say. Ten minutes later there were more and they had a guy on the curb, going through his car. No breakfast (Covid Issues) and the coffee maker was nasty, to the point, No coffee for me this morning. The outside was nasty, the dumpster area was full and lots of old mattresses piled up beside them. However it was cheaper than most and we did sleep ok. just know what your getting

I am very dissatisfied with my stay at the sure stay by best western rocklin, ca. I booked the hotel online, was not offered a weekly rate. When I went to the front desk to speak to the manager, she didnt seem to care at all and told me to contact customer service therefore I did and they were absolutely no help at all either. I will never s tf at at another best western again and if I could leave now and get refunded for the additional days I am supposed to be here I would but I am stuck. I AM A VERY VERY DISSATISIFED CUSTOMER WHO WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANOTHER BEST WESTERN AGAIN.

We have family in Rocklin that we come to see several times a year. This is a comfortable hotel with excellent pricing that has become our home away from home. Though not glamorous, it is family friendly, very clean, with nice employees and a delicious breakfast. I always bring my own pillow on any trip, so I sleep very well.

I'm a Best Western Rewards member and a Gold member of Hotels.com. I travel often and stay at many hotels especially Best Westerns. This is a Sure Stay branded Best Western which is basically their budget friendly brand. It still offers many of the same amenities such as iron, hairdryer, mini fridge and microwave. This is definitely an older hotel based on the interior of old haunted red carpet in the long halls that has a slight odor. The lobby is also the breakfast room and there is one elevator on site which needs to be renovated. The rooms are nice and fairly updated. Restrooms could be a tad more soft and inviting. My 2 Queen room featured two flat screen LCD TV's and a nice minibar with granite countertop and sink that separated the beds. It was worth the extra few dollars. Desk lamps offered outlets to charge your phone. Mattresses were firm. Overall I'm satisfied with what I paid for the accommodations. My friend was happy with room but also noted that that halls need updating. Staff were friendly checking in and out. Lots of police cruise the lot so it felt safe. Right off the freeway and close to several stores, gas, liquor, and fast food.

The Surestay is very low end with lots of guests smoking pot and cigarettes. All the rooms have been smoke din and reek of Febreze. After being moved between three different rooms I ended up checking out at 1:00am and going to the Comfort Inn. Even with the window open I was unable to breath due to the amount of Febreze that had been sprayed into every room. Best Western should really take their nae off of this property as it does not represent their brand quality.

When we arrived our 1st room had bedbugs so the hotel staff were great enough to move us to a new room. Well this room the bathroom had no vent fan do after you showered and opened the doir you set off the fire alarm due to steam! The refrigerator didn't work so we lost all our food for our trip. The coffee maker smelled like it was burning so we purchased one to make our own coffee. The bed was very uncomfortable...the TV had limited viewing!

Booked for three nights but had to check out at 1:00am on the first night. The hotel is advertised as non-smoking but most of the clientele seem to ignore and smoke anyway way. The Hotel's solution is to drown every room with Febreze. I was unable to sleep and started to have breathing issues due to the amount of Febreze in the air so I moved to the Quality Inn across the street. The staff was friendly and tried to fix the issue but they moved me between three different rooms and all three were filled with perfumy Febreze covering up smoke odor. One of the rooms in the same hallway was smoking pot and the entire hallway reeked of pot all night. Staff did not do anything about the smoking guests.

Clearly this is a place hookers use. Absolutely NOT for any family trip. Guys 'cruising' up and down the hallways looking for rooms every few hours. Ladies dressed for the calling. Additionally, the sheets appeared unwashed, but the bed remade. Towels had hair attached to them.

My sister and I choose to stay at SureStay after a recommendation from one of their previous guests. We were among 20 individuals who attended a scrapbook retreat at Scrapbook Madness in Rocklin. The motel was centrally located to our retreat and were excited. Everything exceeded our expectations with the expectation of the hot water. We had none for 2 days and were not invited to move to another room. However, we would stay here again with the provision we be moved to another room if we are not provided with hot water.

A very nice hotel, just off the I80. Inexpensive, but would not hesitate to stay here again. The rooms were nice and quiet. Lots of plug ins. Bed and pillows comfortable. Good breakfast, but beware they close right at 9 am. Friendly staff. Good parking (free). A lot of restaurants nearby.

The staff was the best part of this hotel and not even that was great. The beginning: at checkin I presented an egift card and was told that the difference between the cost of our reservation and the amount of the gift card would be retained on the card. It wasn't, we'll come back to that later because it wasn't the lady at the front desk's fault. She was very nice when she informed us that the elevator was out of service and that we could choose to have a room on the first floor but it would not be the suite we reserved. We chose to stay in the room we reserved because walking up a few flights of stairs wasn't a big deal. While I appreciate being notified at check-in, I would have preferred being notified earlier in the day with the option to change my reservation or book at another property. Still, she was wonderful, she gets five stars and I'm sorry I don't remember her name. Then we entered the stairwell to walk up to the room and while I understand it is hard to keep frequently used carpet from smelling at all when it's raining outside but the stairwell smelled like the carpet hadn't been cleaned in ages. It was damp and musty. We walked up to the third floor and found our room easily. It was spacious, but it was not what we expected. The kitchen was large, there was plenty of cabinet space. There was no “actual closet” there were two small tables, a couch (which was dirty) and a coffee table. The young man at the front desk that I reported the faucet running nearly at full force while the shower was on tried to instruct me on how to activate the shower and seemed reluctant to take the information down when I said “I pulled it all the way up and it was still running out of the faucet.” The television for the living room was behind the couch and the wall was unsightly/you could see the holes from the mounting. The couch had stains on it. The door for what used to be room 302 which is now room 304's kitchen and living room/sitting area was so ill-fitting that you could clearly see light through the door (I have photos) and hear everything in the hallway from people walking, talking, and doors slamming. The second floor (where we needed to go to get ice) was littered with small bits of trash and there was a pizza box on the floor outside of one of the doors. In the morning I woke up to people screaming at each other and while most of the staff I encountered were wonderful and I understand there isn't much they can do about guests littering on the property or having loud arguments, between the lack of working basics, the noises from the hall interrupting sleep, and the other things previously mentioned: we won't return to this property at all and over the next three months we have (at least) eight hotel stays scheduled in the next three months and based on this stay we nearly cancelled the only other reservation at a Sure Stay Plus branded hotel on the calendar. We like trying different locations for our stays, so we're going to give it one more try at another SureStay property in January, but will not be back to the Rocklin location unless there are major renovations to the property.

We booked a pet friendly room weeks in advance, but were told when we arrived that they had overbooked and we would not be allowed to have our dog on the premises. Be careful if you are traveling with your dog.

Clean and presentable. Older hotel. Right on freeway makes it a little harder to sleep, but could ask for a room on opposite side. Beds could be a little better as mattresses appear to be older. For the cost, will probably stay again.

When I googled dog-friendly hotels, for Rocklin, this was the only offering. I called from the highway to verify there would be room for me & dog and to ask what the Pet Fee was. I was told the Pet Fee was $15.per night, which I've found to be usual and reasonable, but when I arrived, the desk staff said they hadn't been the one's who talked to me and that the Pet Fee was actually $20. per night. The desk staff adjusted my billing to allow for the quoted Pet Fee but it was awkward for me to have to quibble and I was so exhausted after driving across two states.

The 4 star rating is on the high side, because the price (and accepting CLC) was factored into the rating. Most of the beds are comfortable (with some exceptions), they offer a very good breakfast for hotels in this price range and it is located away from vagrants/with easy freeway access. One huge issue, is that the rooms facing the freeway are LOUD. Literally sounds like the windows are open, so request room not facing freeway. They always pre-auth a $50 deposit on credit card for deposit or accept cash deposits (100 or 200 cash, dont remember). Guest laundry is not available. There are several fast food options right there, and a Dennys next door.

The only reason I'm giving this property a one is because the staff was great in working with what they have. Every person I encountered on the staff was lovely. The location is not easy to get to, it's a bit tucked away behind Denny's. The outside gives the impression of a nice place and the lobby was sparkling clean, but at check-in we were informed that the elevator was out of service and our room was on the third floor. The desk person was very nice and offered us a room on the first floor but said it wouldn't be a suite like the room we reserved, we decided we could brave three flights of steps with our luggage rather than have a smaller room (I'm so glad we didn't stay on the first floor, but I'll get to that later). It rained the day we checked in and the carpet in the stairwell smelled terrible. I can understand it not smelling like roses but the combination of scents was like everything bad (mold, wet dog, urine). We arrived at our room Andrew bed was the size advertised, the linens were clean, there was plenty of counter space, and the room itself was large. That's the extent of the good. There was a kitchenette but we were informed at check-in that the oven didn't work (no big deal, we didn't plan on using it) but the wall in the sitting room had holes in it and a blank area that looked like a tv had been mounted there and gone missing — we later located the tv behind the sofa. The sitting room/living room and kitchen area for room 304 used to (apparently) be room 302. The connecting door had been removed and frame painted over. The gap in the door from “room 302” to the hallway was so large that you could see light through it (see attached photos below) and hear *everything* going on in the hall. With the broken elevator you could hear the slamming stairwell door all night. When I pulled the lever to activate the shower the shower came on pretty weakly and the faucet kept running full force. Pulling harder increased water pressure a bit, but the faucet was still running the entire time I was in the shower. When I reported this at the front desk around 10-11pm the young man at the counter attempted to tell me how to operate the lever and when I told him I did what he said and it was still running from the faucet he looked like he was looking for somewhere to write it down reluctantly. I also reported the second floor (where we had to go for ice) smelling like pot smoke. In the morning I woke up to people screaming at each other and I could write pages more but long story short: Pros: - Staff is great - Cheap Cons: - Location - Noise - Broken down basic things like shower and an elevator

We were put in a accessible room which was different. But it was very comfortable and very large. Our only complaint was the breakfast the next morning. It was the breakfast the day before Thanksgiving and they were out of some things by the time we got there at 8 o'clock. Was not impressed at the hot items, no eggs, Chunky russet potatoes and yams together which was not very good. They were out of spoons for the cereal. And the next morning, Thanksgiving morning, they had a much better breakfast

Charity, Rachel and the rest of the staff are amazing. A personal approach, both welcoming and attentive, my expectations have been exceeded throughout our stay. Our spacious and clean room, the staff making sure we had plenty of bedding and towels and a delightful breakfast to start our days was just the tip of the iceberg. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that not only my wife and I felt appreciated but more importantly my children felt comfortable, safe and secure. I have never witnessed hotel staff interact with my kids like these fine people. They put big smiles on their faces and made them feel right at home. All of this for a price that was just as good or better than anything you could find in the region. An absolute joy as a guest. I commend the leadership and management at this fine establishment for valuing both its guests and staff. Its obvious that there are some true difference makers here that are striving to please. I would absolutely recommend that you book your next stay here if you are in the area. You will not be dissapointed. Sincerely, Michael

Although the people are nice, the amenities are horrible. You can't reach the toilet paper while sitting on the toilet, the maids hog up the elevator when you're trying to get to your room. And the coffee machine was broken in the breakfast bar and nothing was done about it except a sign. You can bet the staff had coffee in their break room. It's right next to the freeway and is the noisiest place I've ever stayed and I have canceled all my future reservations at this hotel. I feel bad for the desk people. Corporate needs to do something about this hotel

Overall lack attention to detail. Common area dirty. Elevator floor was a sticky mess. I reported it to desk people who said they would make sure cleaners took care of it. 24 hours later it was the same sticky mess, Bathroom floor was sticky, carpets in hallways needed vacuuming. Breakfast table wobbled all over the place. Chipped paint on all wood furniture which is easily fixed with a felt tipped marker. Worst coffee I ever tasted from a machine. Toilet seat loose. Yellow paint splothches all over the dark brown bathroom door.

Good overall stay. The rooms are a bit snug, but comfy. The bathrooms were ok. Hotel is close to traffic but was ok with noise. All the staff from the morning to the night were very helpful, kind and friendly. I would stay there again.

I stay at Surestay Plus every week and feel this place is a good deal. Recently Mia started working the night shift and it is great to have such a friendly and helpful person at the front desk to check us in. The rest of the staff is also very good.

Don't book at this motel! We were very unhappy with our stay Numerous problems from keys not working , screaming in hallways from guests being evicted, fire alarms, horrible breakfast, old furniture etc, etc!!

We have stayed here four times in the last year and a half while planning the lighting for our niece's wedding. Our dog always comes with us and really loves the whole area/grounds around the hotel. I am constantly amazed at how clean and (animal) scent free the entire place is. The breakfast is beyond fabulous. It is constantly replenished throughout the entire time it is available and the variety and amount can't be beat. I love the pool and never miss an opportunity to take a swim and it is usually the first thing I do when we arrive.

I'd have to say that I recommend this hotel if you're looking for a quiet comfortable stay in a good area. It's right off the freeway exit & nestled just far enough back not to be sisturbed with the noise of the traffic. The breakfast options & quality are exceptional for the nightly price you pay for the room.

Clean, and well stocked. Friendly staff and GREAT breakfast. Easy on/ off freeway. Plenty of pillows and comfortable king bed. Not too pricey and close to multiple stores and restaurants. We'll stay there in the future.

We booked this on Expedia and what a mistake this was. We paid for 3 nights and ended up staying just one uncomfortable night. The hotel looked NOTHING like the photos online. It was run down, stains on the carpets up and down the hallway. A side door was open that wasn't suppose to be. The room smelled like old bandaids, suspicious people walking around that looked like drug users, the “king bed” had two twin box springs pushed together making the crappy king mattress dip in the middle, the pillows were awful and overall we didn't feel safe. We tried getting a refund with Expedia calling the hotel but they would just give us our two nights we paid for back due to their “policies”. Expedia only gave us a $100 coupon was the best they claimed they could do on their end. We checked out early with the front desk girl not apologizing for our poor experience. We ended up leaving with our loss and forced to use the Expedia coupon for another hotel that's further away than we planned. Needless to say this ruined the start of our vacation. Completely stay away from any Best Western chain hotel.

First ever visit to Rocklin, CA and would stay here again. The hotel was a little dated but the front desk staff were exceptional! Very engaging and provided excellent tips on things to do (e.g. hiking, dining, etc). The breakfast was nothing short of great! Definitely not your traditional continent breakfast, in that they offered biscuits and gravy, waffles, rosemary potatoes, sausage, bacon, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my Husband for a family trip, he is a disabled veteran. Dale went above and beyond to make our stay so welcoming. Not only did he thank my husband for his service but anytime he saw us he asked him how his day was and let him talk his ear off. Thank you Dale for making us feel like we were at home. Our room was a split queen. It was very clean, spacious room. The breakfast was wonderful, well stocked, clean & staffed. The desk staff were customer service-oriented & made you feel you were there only guest. Location of hotel was right off of major roadway & near shopping & a myriad of restaurants & fast food some in shared parking.

The hotel is not very nice, but the service is great. Marcia and Jessica gave terrific service when the AC went out in our room. If it weren't for them we probably wouldn't stay here again. The man at the front desk was nice and waived the pet fee since we had to move rooms.

Worst experience of my life. My sisters and I bookes SureStay Best Western for 2 nights we were treated so horribly at checkout. We were threatened to have the cops called on us even though 2 of my sisters are disabled. One was even in a wheelchair. At checkout we were not given a receipt when I asked for a copy the guy rolled his eyes at me when i called him on it he got mad and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. Corporate did nothing.

We stayed here for almost 2 months, a few of the workers went above and beyond to help us whether it was a mixup with booking, or just simply needed towels! Two specifically stood out more than the rest. Charity and Dustin, they both were extremely kind and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, made sure we knew our way around the hotel and dealt promptly and professionally with the few minor complaints that we did have. If ever sent back to this area for work I would stay again!

Our room was very dusty, had hair hanging off the lamp on the night stand table and our tv had to be manually programmed each time it was turned on. We called to let the front know about the tv and they told us how to program the tv, but did send someone twice to program the tv for us, but it should have already been programmed.

I live in Nevada and work in Roseville, CA during the week. I have tried out several hotels in the area and prefer the SureStay Plus. The price is reasonable, the staff are always outstanding and the property is easy to get to. I also like the breakfast and the rooms are spacious. I highly recommend the place.

The picture is definitely better than reality. Once you enter the lobby it becomes evident that the hotel is in need of some major renovation. The elevator needs mechanical work, the hall floors and walls are in need of a deep clean--all this before you get to your room. In the room the walls were dirty and the carpet was missing a large patch underneath the desk (showing bare concrete). The bed was adequate and thankfully the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was well stocked and decent.

Most enjoyable & love that I can have my furbaby stay with me as well. Rooms, staff, breakfast, pool etc was very acceptable. Noise level is minimal. Close to restaurants, gas stations and my daughter's home which is very convenient. I have stayed here many times over the years & have never been disappointed

We have stayed here many times in the past 20 years. The staff is good and helpful, however there are not enough handicap baths. The door to outside our rm #141 was broken allowing anyone to enter. The tv got no signal so at the end of the day we couldn't watch the news or anything

Extremely pleasant staff. Amenities were more than adequate and very modern. Enjoyed the pool but it did shut off about 9:30 when the signage said 10:00, and yes I swam with my grandchildren who were adamant they wanted to fully enjoy the pool to the fullest. But if that's all I can complain about then the entire place was great. Really enjoyed our stay.

I like posting good reviews but I cannot do that here. WiFi showed it was on but took forever to load. Most of the time I used my phone data. When I complained I had to go show the manager the issues and then she admitted she was having trouble too. Bed was okay and the curtains did not cover the entire window. Marginally clean and decent location for us. I would not recommend. Too many others close by.

The staff were wonderful. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again. The only negative I found was it was right off the freeway, but our room was on the other side and we didn't hear any of the traffic. Not sure if the rooms facing the freeway would have issues.

Great value for my night spent at this hotel. I even got a couch and 2 large screened TV's and a sink. It was wonderful! The freeway is next to the hotel but didn't bother me at all, I'm a sound sleeper.

Staff super friendly I was greeted and smiled to by every staff person I saw. TV didn't work when I first got there and was fixed without 5 minutes. Breakfast was pretty good pretty standard but was hot and fresh. Coffee was yummy! The beds were very hard and uncomfortable to the point I couldn't sleep. Rooms were neat but felt dirty. You could tell the bathroom floor hadn't been wiped down and the carpet didn't appear to have been vacuumed. I am sure the towels had been washed but they didn't look nice and clean. Showered with flip flops on because I didn't want to chance anything.

I am a Best Western Diamond member. I was giving a room next to the elevator for the night. I'm supposed to be given the best room available. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are clean and breakfast is the same as other BW's. Maybe slightly more offered. Due to not sleeping and being given the crappiest room I give it a thumbs down. I stay in a BW weekly and rarely ever have an issue.

The hotel is fine for a quick stop, but the lighting in the room is atrocious. Barely visible. Maybe they do it on purpose so you can't see how dated the room really is. The hinges on the bathroom door squeaked terribly and the refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it to sleep. That said, the employees were very nice and we arrived at 10 pm and checked out before 7 am so it was ok for what we needed. Hot water, clean room and and comfortable bed.

Very pleased with our stay. Staff checked in on us shortly after we arrived to make sure we were happy with our room. Room was clean and heater worked great! Breakfast was yummy. Only complaint is that our pillows were too thick and I had neck pain next morning. Full body length would be great too.

I would compare this hotel to a motel 6. We stayed here and didn't get any sleep. Hotel needs to be renovated and need new furnitures. Staff that checks us in was very nosy asking us why are we there? But the night auditor lady was nice to help me with the pillow I need.

Not the best hotel but not the worst. Room is clean and good size. The bed was a little bouncy but the pillows seem good. The best part of the hotel was a fairly extensive breakfast. I think it was the best priced hotel in the area.

When we checked in i was informed i was being charged extra for the 2nd bed in the room, when i had called to update i was told there was no extra fee. The bathroom had an odor the room had bad lighting and room service only delivered towels 1 time. I thought since it was in rocklin it would be nice but not really. All we heard all night was banging and water running from a washing machine. Came here to relax from out of town and feel like i wasted my money.

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament and is was NOT GOOD. Cops were patrolling the parking lot when we got there. As soon as walked in the smell of marijuana was so overpowering we could hardly breath. I called the 800 number and they said it too late to cancel but to go to the front desk within 30 minutes to try for a solution. That wasn't possible as we dropped our bags and got the heck out the smell was so overpowering

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We had lot of people coming here to stay for a wedding party. After our first night there we told everyone to cancel and to go somewhere else. When I first checked in the lobby, it smelled like marijuana. The bed was very stiff an uncomfortable. the pillows were too tall and not comfortable. Our room was right next to the exit ramp and it was very noisy all night. The heater didn't warm or work right away. I got up twice in the night to turn it up and then it finally worked and it got to hot. none of got any sleep due to poor room conditions. The next morning I was passing another person in the hall that looked like she was a on drugs. She looked at me and told me to die, twice. At breakfast it looked like we were in a drug rehab facility due to the clientele that was there. One guy kept walking through the breakfast area, not getting any food but looking at people's tables. I had to keep asking to re-stock the missing food items at the breakfast bar. The luggage cart had flat wheel. I mentioned it to the staff and they said it was from the weight of the luggage. I checked and it was flat with no luggage and had n air noses and no air in it. Everything was wrong about this stay and I would not ever return.

I work in Roseville during the week, but live in Reno. After checking out several hotels I chose Sure Stay Plus in Rocklin. They always give me a quiet room, the place in easy to get to, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is really good. The price is also reasonable. I plan to keep staying here.

"Noise and Hypodemic Needles"

When booking , we requested a quiet room, and explained that we were there for our daughter's wedding the next day. We also had our dog. Upon arrival, the desk attendant was nice & noticed we were from a town that basically burned down, as well as our house. However, the "quiet" room we were given was as close to the front desk as possible, and next to the ice maker. Everyone on that floor came close to or door. The mattress truly seemed to be about 20 years old! We tried to make the best of it until very early in the morning (5 am or so) when there was constant laughter and loud talking. Turns out it was the STAFF! Additionally the shower had hair on the walls. But the worst thing was that in the morning we took our dog outside only to realize there were multiple hypodermic needles on the grassy area. This definitely shouldn't be a Pet Friendly hotel. We spent out daughter's wedding day tired from the inconsiderate staff and used HALF of our diamond points for a terrible experience. Honestly didn't think best westerns got this bad. We actually would like our points back!

Reasonably priced and good reviews lead me to book my room here. When I opened the door to my room I was pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable and updated. The hotel is just amazing - no frills really, but the people are all so eager to please, particularly the manager, Sheffield - he was truly hospitable. Mr. Hospitality, as I like to say! The room was fine, it did have a hairdryer, and a very good comfortable bed. Breakfast was hearty and healthy too! No chicken and waffles or any of that, but I have to tell you, I'd go out of my way to go back and visit the wonderful people there.

"Very disappointing"

The hotel itself is fairly clean, and staff were pleasant, but it is right next to the freeway, and amenities are not provided as promised on their website. I did not pack a hair dryer because supposedly one was included - not! Apparently when one breaks, they don't bother to replace, so call me Little Orphan Annie for a business meeting. Also the mattress was lumpy. Overall not a pleasant experience. Would never stay here again.

We had a great stay. We were up there for a softball tournament. We slept good. Wished we had enough time, to had enjoyed the pool. It was only 15 minutes to the playing fields. Would stay here again.

After evacuating the Northern California fires and having a terrible experience with another Best Western hotel reservation system, we got into this hotel and the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet too. Highly recommend it!

Disgusting dump, place has holes and dents in walls, always has tons of people in parking lot; some of them in tents and junkyard trucks full of junk in back. It's not lit very well at all making the parking lot a scene from a horror film. Additionally it's located so closely to the freeway that you cannot open your window for a relaxing breeze without listening to car whizzing by constantly.

We humbly acknowledge that this is an extremely difficult time for these victims. All hotels in this area, including Sacramento, have been completely booked. We tried to make sure these Butte County Residents were accomodated to the best of our ability. This might explain for the trucks with belongings and tent in the lot.

Disappointing Best Western, not very clean. Felt unsafe as car windows were broken, and not secure area. Many people hung out all hours of the day/evening. Breakfast was so-so. Ran out of bread, coffee cream, only bananas were fruit. Room was not clean. Beds were not comfortable. I'd pass this hotel.

I've wrote several reviews for this hotel over the many years. I typically spend a week here a month and have to say the hotel has always exceeded my expectations (for the price) and always constantly improving the hotel. This month I noticed they replaced the carpets in the hall and main lobby, added BACON to the breakfast menu (was awesome to begin with) and added several friendly staff members to the front desk! I'm always greeted with a smile and friendly hello each check-in. As a traveler on a tight budget, this place is great! Looking forward to next months visit!

"Exceptional staff"

If I could give the staff more than 5 stars I would . Respectful , helpful, polite, and very efficient. The breakfast was to be expected I would suggest either different bacon or cooking it better as it's not crispy at all. But other than that rooms have great air conditioning, comfortable beds, nice closets, and quiet floors. The tables and chairs have some minor scratches but other than that, everything is right at or above the price they're asking for per night.

The spa is in need of repair but the staff were very responsive to our requests for more towels, cleaned the spa, and helped us with the TV. The staff were ready to serve us and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

"Unfriendly Staff, Dirty, Scary Location"

Where do I begin? Sticky dirty carpets. Old dated furniture. Uncomfortable spring beds. Room door wouldn't close properly. All doors to hotel open-not locked for non-guests to enter. No security. Did not feel safe at all!!! Police arrests made 2 of the 5 days I stayed. Police searching cars and hotel rooms during my stay. Daughter had 3 bug bites on her back and legs. Housekeeping only made one out of two beds during cleaning (odd). Told to bring my old towels down to front desk to get new towels (bad customer service!). Girl at front desk was very unfriendly. Won't be coming back to stay at this hotel in Rocklin, CA! Beware!!!

"Low Grade"

The outside of the building was maintained. The landscaping lush. The floor in Lobby dirty. The elevator floor dirty. The hall carpet dirty and old. An odor confronted us once elevator door opened. The walls and doors dirty in hall. Sad thing is the agent on BW reservation line sold me with lies regarding this property. His words were SureStay properties are cleaner and neater and newer than regular BW properties. I will never ever trust a BW agent again nor will I stay at one of their sites again. There is plenty of competition out there.

I had members of my family travel in for an event that were from out of town. I had to do some preplanning as my mother in law is extremely picky (LOL) I spoke to a Chef....turns out he is the GM of the Hotel. He was great to work with very accommodating and assisted with meeting my families needs. When my family arrived and we went and checked in the Staff WAS AMAZING.... The Hotel is an older complex but the overall look and feel showed that they are trying to modernize the hotel which they are doing a great job. Long story short the staff was great, the rooms were comfortable, prices were good, and my in laws were happy which meant the wife is happy....and as the old saying goes happy wife happy life.... Thanks Chef and team for making my stress level that much more manageable. We will use you again on the next Griswold Family (LOL) gathering that we host . Well Done!

I have a lot of people who come To the Sac. Area for our company and the service is just the best. The price is reasonable, the rooms are clean and the staff is always on top of everything, friendly, makes the time away a pleasure.

"Adequate "

Stayed here with my niece because we were going to a show at Thunder Valley. I was actually really pleased with the property, the front desk staff and the check in process. The room was freezing when we got checked in but that was easily resolved. I couldn't find USB ports anywhere but that was easily resolved too by going back to my car to get a plug with a USB port in it. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, breakfast the next morning in the lobby was good and check out was also easy. I would stay here again if needed but there was nothing spectacular that made me want to go back. Adequate is my best description.

We were not sure when we first looked to stay here because it was such a good deal. Im so happy we did. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and newer style. Usually I freak out if i dont have socks on in a hotel and I noticed I didnt mind lol. The carpet wasnt all nasty. The assistant manager was so helpful and friendly. Smiles ear to ear. Her name is Kayla and shes super helpful and you dont feel like a burden. Also the house keeper her name is Chanawyah they call her Sha Sha. I had a do not disturb sign out cause I didnt want service. But then a friend said Im coming over be there in 45 minutes and this was waayyyyy late in the day. I asked if she still had time and she literally stopped the room she was doing and went all the way back to mine. With a smile saying no problem at all. And quickly did a great job. The breakfast is great. All the normal stuff PLUS eggs, bacon, potatos, waffles, and alot more. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Area feels safe. Its right next to the freeway but you cant hear it in the rooms. Same parking area has a Dennys, Arbys, and Jack in The Box (open 24/7) Rooms have a nice big mini fridge, microwave,good cold air, and i love that when you close the curtains its dark. Like i said i was nervouse at first cause it was a spe ial and cheaper than a Motel 6 so I figured something must be wrong. But we have been here 3 days and Im so happy and comfortable that I thought other people should know. A+ place to stay.

"Not what we expected"

Came down for the day with my husband and kids to swim at the hotel, shop, hit studio movie grill, etc. when we arrived the lobby was as very warm. The ride up the elevator was scary to say the least, very loud, shaky and obviously needs attention. The second floor reeked of sewer, it later went away but yuck! Our room smelled like some sort of chemical, plastic-ish, our bathroom door creaked SO loud and the alarm lock had the wrong time by several hours. We took the kids to the pool, but they wouldn't go in after I fished a cigarette butt out. Luckily we spent most of the evening out. We went to bed but were awoken by the clock alarm that went off at 1am! Then again and again by the bathroom door in the night. I noticed the sure stay “make it right” policy in the lobby but unfortunately the manager wasn't on duty and the man (whom was very nice but not able to help) who was at the front desk informed me he didn't even work for the hotel but rather was helping his friend out (the manager). Maybe there are other rooms that are better but 208 was not good.

After reading some of these reviews I figured I would put my $.02 in. I travel to Rocklin once a month for meetings and stay 4 nights. I look for clean rooms, good price and free breakfast. This place has that. It's even better after the remodel (which is still in process). I'm always treated with respect and check-in without issue. For the price, this place is without a doubt the best value for the money! Try not to listen to the menopausal debby downer crab apple that would complain because the sky is too blue! This is a discount hotel and not Tah Mahal. Some people smoke MJ (its legal in ca) I agree the smoking area needs to be farther than the back door and not aloud in the hotel. There are homeless.. You are in the liberal state of California! Thank your elected officials! They are currently working to update the rooms.. things break

"Not Sure if I'd Stay again"

We checked into our room. 2 Beds were separated by a kitchenette, which seemed odd. TV was in the middle of wall on shelf. Remote did not work correctly. First thing my husband does is check AC filters before turning it on. They were filthy. He took them into bathroom and wanted to rinse them in shower. Handle came off in his hand! He notified the front desk. They said they would send someone immediately. Since it still worked if you put it on, and it was getting late, he told them to fix it during the following day. We were out from 10am to almost 5pm and NO ONE came to fix it or even change the linens or give us fresh towels! When my husband went to front desk, the clerk was a little surprised but offered no remedy, as no maintenance or cleaning staff were there. He just handed us a few towels. When we checked out the next day, my husband told the front desk about the problems, and they at least took $50 off our bill. For that reason only did I give this place 2 stars.

"Absolutely Horrible!"

I want to start off by saying I am teacher who was taking a 4 day field trip with 13 year old students. This hotel was booked for us by our district. I checked the reviews and was so concerned that I called and personally spoke to the manager. He assured me that those reviews were old (prior to a change in management and remodel) and that I would be completely satisfied with my stay. Upon arrival, our rooms were not ready because of a broken boiler, not the best start but understandable...however, when asked for someplace to store our luggage they said they did not have anyplace for us to put them, but we could wait in the lobby. The lobby had no air, and it was well over 90 in there. We decided to pack our luggage back in the car and return in an hour. An hour later, a rooms were still not ready. We were able to get one of our 4 reserved rooms, so we piled all our things in there and went to dinner. We returned from dinner and 2 of our rooms were still not cleaned. We did not get all our rooms until 8:30! Keep in mind we are teachers traveling with minor students. The next day I noticed a filthy plunger in a bucket in the hall. It stayed there for 2 full days. During the night, someone was smoking a cigar and marijuana in the hallway near the fire exit. On the third night, the fire exit door handles were missing!!!! In the event of a fire, we would not have been able to use the stairs, basically trapped. This is the same evening that we witnessed a group of homeless people sleeping around the pool (and were still there in the morning) and a guest had their car stolen out of the parking lot. This is the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time. They were on a recommended list for a large state competition that was held locally. I plan to let them know to take this hotel off their list, it is not safe!

This place was AMAZING! Nice breakfast program, the check in was quick and easy. Staff seemed professional and courteous. The GM had even called after I checked in to ensure the room was to my liking, pretty awesome! Plan to be back again this month.

"Only giving one because I have to"

This hotel or motel was terrible my husband and I sleep on a bed where it sunk so far down it was to the floor the room smelled of smoke and the fixtures needed to be updated there was mold and the room was disgusting. I will never stay here and I dont think anyone should either this is a terrible example of a best western.

"One night stay on a business trip"

I was coming from Carson City NV and arrived late (about 10:00 PM) to find the desk clerk, who was very helpful and finished quickly as I was very tired from the traffic and weather. The morning was quite different. I got up early to beat the traffic in Sacramento and at 6:00 am the desk clerk was attempting to put food out along with (breakfast comes with the room) filling a cup holder. She left the room to bring a tray of food (she was gone about 5 minutes) for the guests that were waiting. She finally came to the desk and checked me out. She was very matter-of-fact and never apologized for making me wait so long. The room was clean and because of the hour I arrived, it was relatively quiet. I did not have breakfast due to the unexpected wait and the fact all the food was not ready. I understood breakfast was to begin at 6 am. That was not the case as the attendant was putting food out after six and when I left at 6:15 there was a considerable amount not yet ready.

Where do I begin. Bathroom door did not latch closed. The shower water came out of faucet and showerhead. Weak pressure on both. Toilet paper holder was broken. Hot tub jets didn't work and the paint from the bottom was flaking throughout the water. Neither one of our room keys worked at the same time. Also coffee so hot i had spilled a small amount and burned my hand. I have gone to this motel at least 6 times in the last 12 years and it has only gotten worse. I will never recommend this hotel, nor will I ever go back.

"Monthly Trips to Rocklin"

I have a standing monthly meeting in Rocklin and decided to stay because of the price and location. I have to say, for the money spent, this place is great. The recent updates to the hotel are a much welcomed surprise. The new waffle and hot breakfast bar is my favorite! I even brought my wife one month (who is a hotel snob) and she was please with the beds, linens and towels! Anytime I have ever had an issue, the management and staff have always been helpful. I'm actually looking forward to next months meeting!

I get why this hotel holds only 2 stars. The front door to our room was so sticky that we had to ram into it just with our shoulders just to open it. Yes, just like the police do to bust down a door. Upon entering our room for the first time, we smelled this musty faded smoking smell and see a dirty/run down look. This hotel room looked tired. There are covered wires running along the wall rather than tucked away or in the wall. Things weren't plugged in but rather dangling. But whatever, we could work around it. The room is held together with a lot of staples. I'm not joking. The black rubber baseboard in the bathrooms have about 50 silver staples in them holding it to the wall. The extra sink in the living area was backed up the whole night. It wasn't until we woke up the next morning that it went down. Ewww. There are a lot of TV channels the hotel doesn't get. So my husband and I kept flipping through the channels trying to find something that would come on. My husband is a diabetic and we both traveled from opposite directions to meet at this hotel, so we missed an important item in our luggage....something to raise my husbands blood sugar when his levels drop (diabetes). Even though that part is our fault, I asked the front desk person if they had some orange juice from the breakfast area or anything sweet to raise his levels. Everything is locked is what I was told. I mention this because I've been to plenty of other hotels and have asked for other things like milk, crackers, banana, etc and have gotten something small every time. So we had to go to the nearest gas station. The next day when I woke up, I had a neck cramp from sleeping on a huge pillow. Not a big deal... I asked the front desk if they had a smaller pillow. Apparently the hotel does not have 1 small pillow in their hotel. Upon checkout, we walked up to the front desk and had our door cards ready to turn in. The lady running the desk was sitting behind the computer. She didn't get up to check us out, rather had us just lay the cards on the counter. I didn't think that was the best customer service. I wouldn't stay here again. This makes me want to avoid all Best Western's.

I had a good stay for 2 days. It was during the fires over in Santa Rosa area and lots of rooms in the area were full. The place was clean, their painters could use some work on staying in the lines. Nice area.

"Bedbugs."

Bedbugs. 1/10, would not recommend. We found bedbugs in the room when we were about to checkout. Management was distinctly unhelpful regarding the situation, and when I tried to get a refund, I was given the runaround for several weeks before being told I'd get at most store credit.... for a hotel in another state. My wife heard them saying they'd just wash the sheets -- I wouldn't count on them hiring a proper exterminator. I found three bedbug bites a few days later and my friend found twelve to fifteen. Also the mattress was broken, wifi was unworkable, and the area under the bed was filthy with grime and trash. Perhaps I should have been tipped off by the guy I saw the first morning with a cockroach in a bag requesting a partial refund. Unless you want to make an emergency Wal-Mart run, sit in front of the hotel in cheap clothes and your belongings in garbage bags, purchase a $200 luggage treatment device, and worry for weeks about whether you managed to avoid bringing any of these horrifically sneaky parasites home, I would not stay here. If you do, place your luggage on the tile in the bathroom before thoroughly inspecting the room for any sign of their presence.

"dirty and old"

The inside is dirty and old. It likely seems dirtier than it is because of how old and stained the carpets and bathrooms are. There was a horrible smell in the stairwell, nearly everything seemed to need repair. The pool had no water in it. The sheets were very rough to the touch. The fridge felt like a half hearted pull from a two year old would bring the whole thing down on you (it sits on a shelf). There was literally one towel provided. I didn't ask for more because there was no way we were going to take a shower in that bathroom. I'm sure the cleaning staff has done all they can do to get it as presentable as it is- but there are only so many miracles they can do. I avoid giving negative reviews due to the bad karma, but I felt I needed to let others now so they could learn from our mistake.

"Beware"

June 17th booked hotel room. We were giving a room that was not ready. Went downstairs to lobby received a second room. My husband had to use the restroom and asked the maid service if he can use the restroom in the first room that we were given. She agreed. I was still in the lobby trying to get the second key. When i went to our room i spotted my husband waiting for me. He told me someone was trying to open the door while he was still using the restroom. While he was explaining to me what happend, the maid in the next room shouted and looked at my husband and said" why are you looking at me? And maid also shouted "dont be blaming me. My husband stated iam talking to my wife. The maid said well your looking at me while your talking. My husband stated all i wanted is to come here and rest. The maid was very disrespectful and had a very mean violent expression. Also the room had a mold smell. Very old style TV. Beds were hard and blankets looked old. Towels were very small and hard. Bedspread also did not smell clean. Rug was not clean.

The pillows were very small a provided no support. The towels were small and rough. Breakfast was all starches so we skipped it. Old style TV, but at least it had plenty of channels to choose from. For $80 it was just adequate.
