Je m’inscris The room was filthy with old dirty furniture and the carpet made my skin crawl. There was urine splatter in the bathroom on the floor and it was filthy
Not real impressed. Lots of updating and fixing needed. Reading chair missing. Breakfast good. Not within walking distance of any restaurant. Staff was friendly. Beds seem more like regular than queen. Seems like a place for workers, which is ok.
Very clean and updated hotel. Front desk staff very efficient and welcoming. Breakfast had good selection of eggs, waffles, bacon, and sausage. Refrigerator in room helped store our cold beverages. Overall a very good value in this town.
It appears that the hotel has been recently updated with new paint, carpet. The rooms were clean, spacious and cooled off quickly. Elevator was quick. Breakfast was hot with a good variety and the dining area was spotless. Overall property was clean and well cared for.
Didn't expect to find such a nice small hotel in this two horse town. Room was great, staff was great. After staying in some dumps in other places on my trip I wasn't expecting anything better in this small town, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Best Western Post is a great place to stay. I have stayed there many times in previous years prior to our most recent stay. The rooms are large and extremely clean. In this heat, the air conditioning provided a cool room and was very enjoyable and the water was hot when showering. The breakfast was great with scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, along with toast, muffins or rolls. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. Make it your stay when you are in the area.
Great comfortable room. Loved being able to walk in the room and it is already cooled down. In the 100 degree heat that is always nice. We needed to use the iron and ironing board. We found it very accessible and easy to use. It did work perfectly. The TV and channel guide were completely in synch. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Sausage and bacon along with eggs and gravy.. The waffle maker was good too. We had not trouble with anything.
I needed a single room was told they only had a suite and no discounts given full price. Hotel was very clean but the breakfast was cold and gad absolutely no taste to it. The location was convenient right off the highway
The room was clean and quiet. The location is easy to find. The desk associates were helpful and friendly. The price was in line with the competition. The bed was more comfortable than most hotels. The hot breakfast was good, even if the dining room was a bit small.
EXCELLENT service and hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was just fine. I was surprised that a hotel in such a small town in the middle of nowhere was so well kept, and very well staffed. It all made for a great one-night stay, and my service dog was also very well respected.
Loved the wall and colors behind the front desk! Hotel was very clean. Our 2 room suite was large enough for our family of 6. Breakfast favorite was the Texas waffle! Kids loved them and as did the adults! Check out was super smooth. The front desk lady was beyond sweet to let our youngest daughter do the check out process with dad standing near by. Definitely made her day!! Thank you we will definitely be back.
My husband and I were excited to find a hotel that had a suite available with three beds, AND a pool (we were traveling with our three teenagers). The room appeared to be clean, except for an area where a little kids' sticky hands were on the wall. A/C worked great and there were two TV's!! Our kids were excited to jump in the pool after a long day of driving! The pool had a good amount of dirt that had settled on the bottom, but dirt gets in outdoor pools when the wind blows - it just happens. One jumped in and the other two noticed the filters were cluttered with trash. The water did not appear to be circulating either. The kids returned to the room, and the one that jumped in immediately showered. The water never drained out of the shower and it was still stagnant the next morning, so none of us showered - we needed to get back on the road. We went to the lobby to eat breakfast - the selection was small but good. After eating, I barely noticed a sign placed behind a condiment display that stated "this hotel offers non-dairy and gluten-free options by request." This would have been nice to see before we ate, as my son and I are allergic to dairy. When checking out, I mentioned the clogged drain to the front desk attendant, she said it was probably my long hair that clogged the drain trap and to just use my finger to remove the hair and it should drain fine. My son was the only one that showered, and he doesn't have long hair...
Traveling from Austin to Santa Fe we were looking for a place to breakup our trip. Our normal drive is to Lubbock but this time we chose to go through Post. While Post is a very small town, the Best Western lived up to big city expectations. The staff is professional, friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are clean and the price is very reasonable. We were also traveling with our pet. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
This little hidden gem south of LUBBOCK is a must stay! Always polite service, clean rooms and facilities,The breakfast is great and plentiful with lots of options! Awesome Value! The beds are comfy and the room has ample space!
This is my 3rd trip to the Post Best Western. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. There are local stores in this small town, which is so helpful! It is the largest town in this area of Texas. My husband and I will definitely be back!!
This Best Western is right where it needs to be for my trip I take many times a year. They are dog friendly without a overpriced charge or deposit, having a quality breakfast is always a bonus. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
We had a great night sleep with a very clean room, comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly, and breakfast was wonderful. My family and I were looking for that perfect stop on our way to our son's FDS. This was that perfect stop. Very satisfied!
Rooms were adequate though dated. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was good, though options were understandably limited. It is a good option for stopping after a long day of driving.
Traveled with wife and family friend.. it was the only hotel that separated the rooms for sleeping! It was great! All hotels should do that when requesting 2 beds! Great job Best Western ! Highly recommend Best Western for your travels. Thank you
So this was a unexpected visit we broke dowe in post Texas on our way to Amarillo Texas on vacation but the accommodations of this motel was great it's great it is a small town with great customer service old school values!! *rooms very clean!! Employees very helpful and courteous!! Breakfast was a very good selection, nice and peaceful sleep
Went to celebrate the post rodeo in post texas!! All motels were sold out but this 1 held my reservation and accommodated me to a 10!! Where do I start the rooms were immaculate!!! Breakfast was superb!! They hit a tin with me in all areas and all aspects of customer service
This is the best breakfast, cleanest motel, hospitality was beyond belief, definitely loved my stay!!my kids and coworkers felt very comfortable!!!!!!!!the breakfast attendant helped us find our way around and was beyond friendly...
The breakfast attendant was more than helpful since we were out of town and didn't know too much about the area she was really helpful with her input breakfast was immaculate everything was on point our family really enjoyed our state in Post Texas!!
After a 10 hour drive my family & I were hoping to get a very well good night rest, until we got up to our room & found ticks in the beds , very uncomfortable & had to leave , since they allow pets in the rooms. My family and I left with itching.
Great place to stay, it was handy, right on the highway but could not hear road noise. It was a spur of the moment stop, I called when we were about 100 miles from the hotel and in time time at all had reserved the room. Staff was efficient.
This was a great place to stop on my trip! I enjoyed the location, the restaurants, and park in town. I will definitely remember this place the next time I am in the area. The town was easy to navigate and the hotel was very quiet. It was a perfect stop on my trip. I had my dog with me, and the path behind the hotel was really convenient for potty and walks.
Clean, quiet and well priced hotel! Staff was very helpful and attentive. Internet was not an issue with email and browsing. The hotel offered free breakfast, but we did not try it. Pets are allowed. Overall excellent.
Well I've got to say that I was just a little disappointed in my stay.first they didn't have on site laundry, the air conditioning unit was so noisy that it was hard to sleep, and then you get up and expect a hot shower, well forget it,luke warm was close,I'm really disappointed in the chain
The team (Katie, Carol, and "?") during our stay this past weekend were so friendly and helpful:-))))) Clean room with a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker! So important for this caffeine addict, as I recently stayed somewhere where they'd taken them out of the rooms!!! Really? Don't get me going:-) Comfy beds and nice accoutrements. Breakfast is a grab & go brown bag, but hopefully they'll be bringing back their breakfast bar soon.
Due to an unexpected snow storm, we decided to stay the night at the BW in Post, Texas. Luckily, we were able to get the last room. The staff was very professional and upbeat despite the storm. We witnessed their kindness as car after car stopped in their parking lot. The hotel allowed travelers to stay in their lobby since the driving conditions went from bad to worse, The only complaint we had was the heating/cooling unit. It was like listening to a jet plane engine when it would cycle on. At one point, the unit went into a defrost mode and just stopped heating. We made the decision to turn it off when we went to bed. By morning, the room was in the 60s and my kids were scrunched up into balls. But everyone slept well. Breakfast the next morning was grab and go due to COVID, but our breakfast order was correct and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel and commend the staff on their professionalism.
The room was very clean. Enjoyed the coffee pot that was in the room. TV has a good variety of channels. Unfortunately the bathroom shower was disgusting. There were stains all over the walls and hair everywhere. You could tell they didn't clean the bathroom after the last guest checked out.
Felt like the staff cared that we were traveling in a time of stress {pandemic}. They did their best {within the limits of the regulations} to make us feel comfortable. I suggest that coffee be made available at the Lobby.
So I stayed here before but this will be the last time! After reading OTHER posts about the drugs I kind of thought it was someone exaggerating BUT now I believe it as a drug deal was happening right outside my window at 2:00 AM! I have a wife and 2 small children who were scared to death as they woke up to find out what was going on. I wondered why the parking lot was so empty this time! Now I know!! I would suggest NOT staying here as I could not sleep the rest of night with anxiety of what else will happen when I'm sleeping!!
Kind staff willing to work with our needs for multiple rooms last minute in a snow storm. Great experience! Breakfast was hot and set up in a way that was quick enough to grab and go to get off to work!
Stayed one night travelling through Texas was a good clean pleasant hotel. Good Breakfast and clean quiet room. pleasant staff. A little past town but was great would definitely stay here again. Thank you for the good service
This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend. I was impressed especially since there was not much of a choice on where to stay in Post. Nice rest before a day of boring West Texas Eastern New Mexico driving!
After discovering meth between bath towels in room - notified front desk and called sheriff. As I waited for sheriff to arrive , I learned staff is fully aware of patrons coming in and doing meth parties. Asked for owner to contact me - I've stayed here for over 15 years and recognize the owners. Owner was on phone with desk and informed me I could leave and get a refund. 10 pm at night, Lubbock is 48 miles away and have guests in other rooms. With kids and families staying there , ignoring narcotic use on property seems acceptable by staff and owners. Nothing was offered to change rooms , do a further investigation
I normally do not post reviews, but this was such a pleasant experience that I want to review them. The staff are nice, thoughtful and very customer focused. The rooms are some of the best and Breakfast had many choices for everyone. I highly recommend this establishment for the price it's great!
We were traveling late at night from New Mexico and made it as far as Post because the great reviews for Best Western Post Inn made it worth traveling a little further down the highway for a good place to spend the night. We were pulling a large RV and realized along the way on this trip that not all hotel parking lots can accommodate such a large vehicle. So it was great to read that there was a large parking lot adjoining the property where we could park our truck and RV. When we arrived, the desk clerk, Alexis, was so friendly and gave these 2 tired travelers a beautiful room that was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable and made for a great night's rest. The breakfast the next morning was good and we felt rested and ready to travel back to Houston. Post is a small town but the Best Western Post Inn has a very big welcome for weary travelers!
Staff was friendly and accomidating. Hotel was clean and quiet. Great place to stay. May have to ask for extra towels, but overall a good experience. Have not gotten to eat breakfast there, as I am a late riser and breakfast ends at 9
This property was very clean. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here because I attended a football game in Jayton and did not want to drive back to Amarillo that night.
Very nice clean hotel. Good TV. Very comfortable bed & great air conditioning. Good breakfast. Only complaint: vending machines were practically empty. Friendly staff. Easy check-in/check-out. Would stay again.
The room was nice enough, clean enough, and spacious enough. The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was good enough. We had a dog with us, so we thought they should have had tile instead of carpet in the room. We had a trailer with a long bed pickup, and they had plenty of parking in a lot next to the hotel lot. Pay attention if you are walking around the "grass" areas, as they are inundated with goat-head stickers. Staff was friendly. We would stay there again if we were stopping in Post. That town seemed like a cute, quaint, safe, little town, but we were only there overnight.
This is our go to place to stay when traveling. The staff is so kind and will go out of their way to assure that you have a great stay. We appreciate all that they do for our family every time we stay.
The employee was friendly. The front desk was crowded when we first tried to check in; we waited in line behind three other people checking in. The A-C did not cool well at all! (we had the temperature down to 60 degrees and it never did get any where near that degrees!!) Tub did not have a matt for safety precautions and the GRAB BAR in the tub CAME OUT OF THE WALL when I went to step out of the tub!! VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, MANAGEMENT!! We, also, had three flies in the room; never could figure out where they came from? The work area was o.k. and fridge was cold enough to get our water & sodas cold. The price of the hotel was fair.
I always try to stay at a BW when possible. This one was a pleasant surprise. I didn't really expect this nice of a hotel in this small town. Especially for the price. Clean rooms, great staff, decent free breakfast, what more could you want.
The room was not cleaned very well. The floor was dirty and the window seals appeared to have new sealant on top of the old which was peeling and looked a mess. There was some nasty looking paper towel or tissue stuck to the vent above the toilet, nasty... The bed was clean and comfortable.
The price was fair until I realized that just because they say they have internet doesn't mean you can actually connect. This hotel has Direct TV and once you find something listed on the guide that you want to see you get a pop up that tells you that channel wasn't purchased. You get very little for what you pay. The breakfast was fair but I went down at 7:30 and most everything hot was gone. They might as well call it a continental breakfast, juice, coffee and stale pastries. The room was fair, the floors were dirty but otherwise everything seemed clean. Overall this is not a place I will stay at again.
The morning staff, extremely helpful and nice. The room, food in fridge, microwave dirty, hair in shower, trash on floor and clothes still in drawer from previous guest. Night crew didn't seem to care.
Enjoyed staying at this Best Western. They had breakfast, including a hot meal, free wifi, and the rooms were very cozy. Hair dryer and cofee maker with fridge very convinient to have in the room. Would definately stay again.
Using the listed address with Google Maps takes you to a vacant lot. The BW is a quarter mile further north. There is no direct access when heading north. You must go past the motel for a block and then do a u-turn. Once you get there everything is nice with good service, an okay breakfast and a friendly staff.
Been many decades since I've visited Post, Texas but decided to go to the Goss Family Reunion this year. Between the oil wells and the West Texas landscape? it couldn't be any more "Texas" . Nice clean room, fresh linens and friendly staff. Just don't get the room by the ice machine. The rodeo was right across the street and the constant noise from the guests getting ice was the only drawback otherwise I really enjoyed my stay . And their "free breakfast" was great!
Really a decent motel when you consider its location...roomsvare a bit small but decent..motel hallways carpeting had just been wet cleaned so floor was a bit damp but its obvious they care about their guests because they were using those nice quiet fans...braekfast was nothing to write home about but it wasnt that bad either
I have stayed at this Best Western several times because it is midway between Dallas and Ruidoso. The rooms and bfast (6-9AM) are nothing fancy but reliably fine! Staff is very nice. We (1 adults and 1 infant) stayed in the 2 room suite last time. Yet pack a king bed and one writing and a queen and pull out sofa bed couch in the main room. The bathroom was the same size as all the other rooms that I have stayed in at this Best Western. It was on 2nd floor at the end of the hallway next to the stairs. There was one door to the hallway in this room suite.
This is a nice, clean hotel if you are travelling in West Texas, or unable to secure a hotel in Lubbock. The breakfast was good and is your usual standard hotel breakfast fare and was enjoyable despite the obnoxious news program we had to listen to.
We recently had to cancel our stay because of family emergency. Karen and all front desk employees were wonderful in helping us through that situation. Karen went above and beyond! We stay her almost every year. Best hotel around. Love everything about it. We sure hope to reschedule soon. Thank you.
What a pleasant surprise at a good price this was! Lubbock was sold out for the second night of our business trip so we decided to roll the dice on Post. We had driven past this property many times over the years and kept an eye on it, just in case. The property is always well maintained and is well lit at night. We arrived about 7 pm to find the room cool and clean and odor free. Everything looked new and it was very quiet, even on a very busy highway. We never heard a truck nor a slamming door and minimal feet above our heads. I believe a lot of good planning and insulation was used in construction and we are grateful. The bed was comfortable and we could not ask for more. Now, the coffee was out of a machine and breakfast offered was Cheerios and sweetrolls in a package but for the price it was ok. It was a cup of coffee and that got us on the road home that much quicker. There is a Jack and Jill Doughnut shop close as well as McDonalds so it's no sweat to get a breakfast elsewhere. We would not hesitate to stay again.
The facility is clean and welcoming! Good room, good bed and good breakfast. Crystal was most helpful and friendly and the cleaning staff performed outstandingly. My service dog was welcomed warmly, with a treat.
The bed and room were comfortable. The pool is a great feature in hot Texas. Only weirdness was that there were no bath towels in the bathroom. The front desk had no problem providing them, along with pool towels, but I overheard another guest with the same issue and in both our cases the manager seemed to consider it normal rather than a problem.
Clean smelling, crisp clean linens, clean rooms. Friendly staff ?? Fair price. Air conditioning works excellent. We come through here often for business and we will definitely stay here again. Pet friendly without a pet odor...Yeh!!!
what a great surprise to discover this fine motel in such a small Texas...friendly atmosphere from the front desk at check-in....room was quiet and comfy...breakfast was excellent...price with AARP was excellent....highly recommend for anyone wanting a good nite's rest
My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Ruidoso and we were very pleased with our stay. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were the best I've ever experienced in a motel. We had a wonderful night's rest! Also, I thoroughly enjoyed getting some exercise in their pool after a long day of driving. The pool is clean and well kept and is perfect for swimming a few laps before bedtime; it was especially enjoyable in the stifling Texas heat! We will stay here again the next time we head to New Mexico.
We were traveling from San Antonio towards Lubbock and drove by this hotel, turned around and came back to stay the night. I was so glad we did! The staff was friendly, the room was very updated and clean and the breakfast great. When we drove on through Lubbock the next morning, we commented that there was nothing else on the road that compared to this, so stop here if you are in the neighborhood!
This was a nice surprise. We stayed one night and it was a really clean, comfortable hotel. We had a king size bed and the room was huge. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on the quality of the food. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in town.
we were charged for 2 nights checked in on 4/10 and checked out on 4/11 at 5AM. we were charged for the night of 4/11 even though we had checked out on 4/11 at 5AM. we can not get them to credit the night of 4/11. We had a total of 7 rooms and this is a very expensive mistake on their part. We should not have been charged for the extra night when we were not there
Stayed here in April, 2018, on the way to Ruidoso, NM. Booked the last room online and was not disappointed with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and filling (even though they were out of gravy), and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Linens were clean and television had a wide selection of channels. Inside and outside appearance was warm and welcoming, showing the property was well maintained. When in the area, I would stay here, again. If you are searching for a great place to stay in Post, TX, check this place out. Safe travels, y'all!
I have not been to Post, Texas for many years and the condition of the town shocked me. It was a place I looked forward to visiting years back, and I always thought of Post as the quintessential example of small Texas towns. The town is dirty and seems to have fallen on bad times. The number of closed stores is sad. That said, the Best Western Post Inn does its best to put on a good face. The interior is clean and my room was clean and decently appointed. The remote was frustrating, which for a guy is akin to a pickup that won't start. The lobby is uninviting but functional. Karen, the afternoon desk clerk was a jewell. She was personable and efficient. I watched her go above and beyond assisting another guest with a problem. The breakfast was unimaginatively presented and the little touches that make a difference in getting past the awful eggs and unknown source of sausages were absent; like salt and pepper shakers. And, this is Texas after all, how the hell does anyone manage to eat the squishy egg product without picante, salsa or hot sauce. I I will bet dollars to doughnuts the property owners are not native Texans or even Americans for that matter. The world has changed and not for the better. Lastly, be prepared for a very unattractive parking area. At least there is a rodeo arena across the highway as a reminder of what this part of Texas used to be. Don,t get me wrong, I recommend the outfit for an overnight and would stay again. I just don't like feeling almost a stranger in my own land. See to your weapons and stand to your horses, Storm
I like spending the night here because it's about halfway between Ennis TX and Alto NM. Bfast is nice. Rooms are fine. Price is usually good on Hotels.com. It's not fancy but staff is friendly and obliging.
The beds are fairly comfortable, clean sheets and decent pillows. Their pet fee is $20/night. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles, breakfast meats etc etc. staff is super friendly. This is a fair value all in all.
This is the second time I have stayed on this property. It is located east of Lubbock Texas and it was very convenient on my route. The property appears to be new or redone and therefore presents a very good appearance. The staff is great. There is a free hot breakfast along with the stay. While it appeared very good it was a little too early for me. I just needed coffee.
I really like staying at the Best Western in Post TX; the personnel were friendly and helpful. I took my dogs and they were safe in their kennel while we went to see a play. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I will stay there again.
I spend a night there after long travel and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel seems very well taken care of and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Most of the hotel seems brand new; you could easily think that it has just been built. Most importantly, it is very, very, clean. The lady at the front desk was super nice as well as the other staff I interacted with. Shower heads are nice and high and water is very hot (as opposed to just warm in other hotels). There are vending machines with food and beverage and there is a great Chinese restaurant that delivers to the hotel. I would stay here again if I pass through Post without the slightest doubt.
This hotel is the best place to stay while in Post, Texas. Rooms are very clean and nice, great staff and very good breakfast. Location is a perfect not far from downtown. There are a lot of interesting things to do in Post. Be sure and make this you hotel of choice for your travel plans.
Great Value,Clean,Quiet, newly remodeled. Pool, country location in small town. Hot breakfast professional staff. Located south of Lubbock Texas this was an ideal stop on our way home during a busy season.
The people are so kind and helpful. The room was great and clean. I recommend this hotel to all travelers and those people who just want to get away. This is also A good place to hold any kind of conference or seminar.
this hotel is amazing. the price was great and the staff took remarkable pride in everything they did to make us comfortable. The front desk manager was exceedingly pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were vey clean and well kept.
Nice and clean. Would've given a five on review but we stayed in a suite and never had enough wash clothes and hand towels for more than two people. Hotel staff very cordial. For a hotel in a small town, it beats a whole lot of others in cities!
This was the last stop on an eleven day road trip. Quite frankly, Post is not much of a city, so wasn't sure what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our requests were cheerfully met. Room was not fancy; that's not important to us. It was clean and comfortable. A really nice last night stay for our trip.
I stopped here because I was traveling in bad weather and needed to get off the road. The whole experience from checking in, room cleaniness, friendly staff, breakfast, and checking out was great and very much appreciated!
Reserved 2 rooms online 6 weeks prior to Texas Tech graduation in August 2017. I called the morning of the stay to ask for early check in if possible, to be informed that 1 of my 2 rooms was cancelled 3 days prior. Sure was not by me, and I was never notified!! Management had a poor attitude at best to even try to resolve my issue, and definiitely had a #%&@ you attitude. I will give due credit to Best Western Corporate Customer Service for confirming my reservation information, working to resolve my issue, and assisting to locate a room in Lubbock. They were even willing to pay for the difference in rates. Money was not my objective. I was expecting an attempt at customer service, and admittance that the error was by their staff and not myself. No loss to me as it turned out. I will definitely pass them up in all of my and my associates future business travels, and stay in a superior enviromnent in Lubbock with a different brand.
We just recently stay at the best Western post Inn, in Post TX, A small town in the middle of Snyder and Lubbock TX . We enjoyed our room and enjoyed the variety of choices we had at breakfast. Very pleasant staff as well. As we were eating breakfast ,what caught our eye was a small girl could be the age of 9 to 10 years of age "mopping" the floor in front of the sliding doors. We had no clue Best Western Post Inn had a child cleaning there......not something you see all the time..........
We were a road weary group that wanted a shower and a great night's sleep. Our rooms were peaceful, clean and in great order. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows invited your head to snuggle in a get comfortable. My husband and I woke up refreshed and then enjoyed a hot and hearty breakfast before we hit the road again.
We liked this hotel. Friendly staff and good b-fast. blah blah blah blah askjd;lkajsfl;kasjdfl;kjasfl;jaslfjl;kasdjflk;asjdfljasldfjlasdjflksjdfljasdlfjkjasdljlk;ajsdlfjasdljfladsjfa;lkjfk;ajsf;jkaslfjls;adjfl;kasjdfl;jsadfl;kjasdl;jf;lkadsjdflkajsdlf;kasl;la;sjfl;kjasdl;jkasl;djf
I was looking for a hotel with separate sleeping quarters and found it here with a 2 room king suite. King in one room, Queen and sleeper sofa in another. The sleeper sofa and chair appeared to be new. Some bare spots in the carpet, but overall the room was fresh and clean.
Bed was very very uncomfortable. Lumpy mattress with hardly any back support. Would have rested better if I would have slept on the floor. The Inn was nice and clean facility. Was being painted in the interior with colors that were relaxing. No paint odor could be smelled. The breakfast items offered were well presented, plenty of food and was quite tasty. Had seconds on the biscuits and gravy.
There are not many motels/hotel choices in Post, Tx. We chose this property for the wonderful pool. Very refreshing and clean. Cora, the GM, greeted us warmly and with enthusiasm. Most of my family that attended the reunion stayed here as well.
We have stayed at this Best Western several times when traveling through and it has never disappointed us. It is always clean and friendly. The receptionist recommended an good restaurant in town for dinner that was excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
The staff was nice and accommodating. The sheets had stains and that was all that was on the bed. The lady at the front desk came and changed my sheets. The pool area was dirty and there was broken patio furniture in a corner. I would throw that away. I would try to keep the area clean and get rid of trash. There was a rain the night before. But they should have cleaned the area and hosed down the area and furniture first thing in the morning.
This hotel is the best. Comfortable beds, clean, and enjoy having breakfast with family and friends in the morning. Lobby is always clean and makes you feel like you're home. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking lot has plenty of space for everyone to park.
This is a nice hotel to stay in. The manager is friendly and the rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable and the appearance outside of the hotel is attractive. I believe they are remodeling because the inside lobby has a clutter of furniture.
We had a great experience at the Best Western Post Inn at our last stay. The room was clean and very cool when we arrived. A Hot Breakfast was complete and good as well. Our only concern was difficulty using the TV, but that is more operator and technical ignorance than anything else!
Nice place in the middle of nowhere. Don't expect good food nearby. The DQ is horrible. Still, it's a nice place for the road trip. Drive, sleep, drive. Sleep well. Breakfast is okay. Good noise level. Dust level is high but this is West Texas.
Exceeded expectation of most hotels I have stayed in with clean, comfortable bed, large quiet room, full size sofa in room, large vanity, nice soft water, and great breakfast. Was remodeling even though the hotel looked great already.
We feel lucky when we can find such a nice place in small town America - Staff were friendly and helpful even recommending a great local eatery nearby - After a long daily ride in the middle of our trip it was a relaxing break from all the hours in the car
Spent one night here in April on our way home. We used our points to pay for our room but were told we still needed to give them a credit card number to make reservation. Checked in with no problem and spent the night. Turned our room key in next morning and they asked if we needed a copy of our bill. We told them we were given one the night before. After getting home I am checking my credit card as I always do. I see a charge from them for $33.90. I call to see what the deal was. I am told by the desk clerk that the night auditor must not have seen that we used our points for the room so they had made "an adjustment" to our bill in the amount of $33.90. This did not make the slightest bit of sense. If they did not think we had paid for our room, why were we only charged $33.90? I would love to get a BW room for less than forty bucks. How is it that after you have already checked in and been given a price that they can then later decide you now need to pay $33 more? None of their explanations made any sense. They promised to promptly refund the charge-which they did. It makes me wonder how many unsuspecting travelers have received these small charges to their cards after the "night auditor" messes with their room charges.
Best choice in town. But looking old and worn out. Nice staff. Noise from highway. Lots of old furniture and broken equipment piled in lobby. Coke and snack machines all but empty. It might be worth considering just staying in south Lubbock and driving in. Somewhere between poor and average.
We didn't expect such a good hotel experience in the small Texas town of Post. They were doing some construction work, but it certainly didn't take away from the enjoyment of the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The setting was relatively quiet. The staff was helpful.
I had no choice but to stay in Post, and was doubtful of finding a decent place to stay. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this Best Western. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Limited staff; but very courteous and professional. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
All the Front Desk Staff, Housekeepers and the Manager were more than willing to assist with anything to make my stay great. Room was clean and the staff was awesome. Food was excellent as well. I felt very welcomed here and the staff always greeted me and were very professional. Couldn't have asked for anything to be any better. Highly recommend Post Inn Best Western if you are out this way.
Great accommodations! Would stay there again. Friendly courteous staff, clean comfortable room and comfy bed. Well stocked breakfast buffet. Easily accessible and well lit parking lot. We were on the motorcycle and that was important!
Excellent over-night stop. we have stayed at this property several times and will certainly stay here again. Heading towards Lubbock,it is a little distance out of town so it is easy to think you might have missed it.
Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Not many choices for rooms in Post. This is definitely the place to stay. Breakfast included cereals, juices, coffee, eggs, sausage pancakes and assorted other items. Very nice when your on the road.
This is the place that I stayed that had the worst experience ever, we booked through expedia, the hotel was full on that night because of the graduation party around Lubbock, TX. we got the last two rooms with smoking smell, it is not the point. The point is the shower tub spout is completely broken, and the bed sheet has many disgusting stains on it. When the time we arrived there, it was 12:30am, we asked for changing the room, no way, then we asked for fixing the spout, no way. Then later, I had to lay the bath towel on my bed to cover the stain, I can even smell the disgusting stain along with the smoking smell. oh well, then we asked for the refund the next morning, Jessica the manager began her rude converstaion with us, why don't we asked for changing the sheets last night, it's our fault. why don't we ask for changing the room, that's another fault of ours, well after we explained to her, it was too late, we asked for changing the room, fixing the shower blah, blah, blah, then she started blaming us broke the shower sprouts, that's our fault. Oh well, then she said if you booked through expedia,I cannot offer you anything, because they paid us less than you paid. oh, well, if you have any chance and any places to stay away from there. You will stay on the dirty sheet and smell everything.
We stayed one night in this hotel on our way back home from a trip to Arizona. It is recently renovated so it was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was ok nothing special. Staff was friendly.
This hotel was clean and for that I was thankful. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. My room was never cleaned my entire stay. The lighting in the bathroom is very dark. Every time I needed to speak to someone at the front desk I had to ring a bell as no one was every up front. My keys to my room had to be rekeyed two different times, which was a bit frustrating. It is a clean hotel. The breakfast was just ok. I thought it strange that I never saw anyone who worked there unless I specifically called for them. It is the best that this town has to offer so I can't complain too much. However, I believe they can improve on their customer service and being attentive to the customers.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the area. You will be taken care of by the staff and manager very well and they are friendly and very nice. The hotel is nice and clean and comfortable. The hotel is booked a year in advance on the third weekend of October for a honory Bronc Ride. It is for a scholarship for college in the honor a boy that was killed while riding a bronc and his mother puts this on every year.
We stay at this facility every year on our way to New Mexico for vacation. Dependably clean and great included breakfast! The staff will take care of anything that is out of sorts, cheerfully and quickly!
This hotel is about 30 minutes away from Lubbock and is a very nice backup when Lubbock hotels are full for football games, orientation, etc. They don't seem to hike their prices up like the Lubbock hotels do for busy times. I have stayed here several times and am sure I will again. This past stay wasn't the best experience but it has been much better other times so maybe it was just an off visit.
The employees are very good and helpful. The room was clean and quite. I did have to call the desk and ask for shower curtain. The breakfast is about the same for all Best Western's. Just have to add the pool is green
Clean and comfortable. It was also quite. Other than low water pressure from the shower head, there were no issues. The breakfast was basic - cereal, juice, scrambled eggs, biscuits, waffles, and sweet rolls. This is probably the best place to stay in Post Texas.
Stopped here after a long day on the road and staff was great about setting me up with a room. Clerk at the front desk even asked about AAA membership so she could give me the best rate, quoted me $47.00 before taxes. Room was clean and comfortable and the morning breakfast was good. Ice machines were out of order. I always ask for a receipt when I check out but for some reason I didn't this morning. Discovered a couple of days later that they had charged me $78, plus taxes, instead of the quoted $47.
Jessica the manager at post inn is the person to deal with in any situation. DO NOT GO WITH EXPEDIA. she helped us out and refunded our money even though it was expedia who messed up. We ended up with a smoking room at 2am and being a non smoker it was a rough night. People r kind there....that makes the difference.
Front desk and cleaning staff super nice and helpful, decor in room dated and some of room dirty, no exercise room because they shut it down, the usual breakfast with high carbs and bacon and eggs and juice and coffee. Not much around the immediate area, grounds ok and also looked like they had full hookups available for rv's and such.
Required desk attendant to provide clean bedding. Carpet had not been vacuumed and bathroom appliances were not very clean. Tried and rejected an alternate room (smoking) which smelled like cigarettes smoke. Desk attendant was apologetic and helpful.
Last month, on a move from California to Austin, Texas our family dog was lost 50 miles north of Lubbock and after two days of exhaustive searching for him, we unfortunately found him dead on the side of the road. Naturally, we were in no shape to drive 7+ hours to Austin, where we needed to meet the moving trucks the next morning. Instead we opted to drive about 100 miles and stay at the Best Western in Post, TX. We were a caravan of two cars with my wife and I, our three year old daughter and an elderly woman. My wife, child and the grandmother checked in ahead of me getting there. On that check-in, the front desk was supposed to mention the "boil notice" - which means you can't drink the water without boiling it first. This is likely due to all the fracking activity in and around Post. To make matters worse, they also didn't offer us any clean drinking water. The next morning, while checking out, my wife noticed the small sign at the front desk about the boil notice. When she spoke to the manager, her reply was "everyone in Post knows about the boil notice". Great. We've never been to Post before. How on earth would we know? Needless to say, she was pretty rude. I had already left the hotel at 4am to meet the movers in Austin. My wife called me to tell me we had all been drinking water contaminated with bacteria all night. I became very angry and called the hotel and spoke with (likely) the same manager. How do I know? Because she was extremely rude and told me "well, if your wife could read signs, we wouldn't have had this problem!" Seriously? Is that how to you treat customers? Especially customers who are in a bad way like we were. And customers with small children no less. We decided to take the matter up with Best Western's corporate office. After a couple of days they came back to tell us that the front desk girl who did not alert us to the grey sewage water we were drinking or offer us clean drinking water was fired. That's nice. I drove back up that way 5 days later to go and pick up my deceased dog's carcass and stopped by the Post Inn to maybe talk about getting the two rooms we purchased refunded. It would have been the "cool" thing to do. I did notice that the hotel had the boil notices on the doors entering the facility and all throughout the lobby. I was not able to speak to someone who could help me at that time but I was somewhat happy that at least they were disclosing the situation upfront. After a few more calls to corporate they told us that each hotel is independently owned and operated and if we wanted a refund we had to take it up with The Post Inn. So we want back to them and once again they were rude and denied us our money back because allegedly we spilled wine on one of the bedsheets. I gave all parties involved plenty of time to do the right thing. But now I'm here to tell my story. We live in a world now where the customer IS always right. I think especially in the case where we ended up drinks water that had dangerous bacteria in it. The manager of the Post Inn clearly does not care about the well being of their customers. If I were you, I'd find another place to stay far, far away from this town with the dirty water.
This is a convenient hotel while traveling. There is ample parking, even truck and RV. The rooms are clean and the A/C works. The free internet is a plus. The breakfast is good and the coffee is hot. There was a vending machine for snacks on site, but out of order. The beverage vending machine looked like it was working.
After a flat tire, we could not continue our trip home and had to spend the night in Post. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. The only negative was that the sheets on one bed were worn so badly you could see through them in spots. Breakfast was good, especially the crispy bacon. Check-in was friendly and quick.
The room was mostly clean and mostly comfortable, except for terrible pillows and stray hairs in the shower. Breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, and pancakes. Our stay was decent, but not a place I'd want to visit again. Be sure to get a room away from the ice machine and vending machines. They can be quite loud at 5:00 am.
Just checked in, the motel is under a boil water order and has been for more than 2 weeks!!! They don't tell you when you make a reservation (even if you are a platinum member). The desk clerk had no idea when the order will be lifted. They gave us bottled water to brush our teeth, said it was OK to shower and make coffee, but she didn't know the difference between a chair and a loveseat. The place is not worth taking chances.
I travel frequently by car between Taos, NM and Rockport, TX. I've stayed in some motels I'd rather forget, and I've stayed in a few that were so impressive. The Best Western Post Inn is one of my favorites on my "impressive" list. Its clean, everything works, the bed is comfortable, the shower drains just fine, there is good water pressure, they allow pets and the breakfast is quite good with a good selection. I'll stay here often in the future. Thanks Post Inn for a great stay! Looking forward to more.
We arrived and were greeted by a friendly and knowledgable hostess. She quickly checked us in and answered all our questions. We had stayed here several times before because it is a pet-friendly establishment and is halfway between our TX home and CO. They do have wifi but we found the signal strength too low for use. We travel with a trailer and their huge parking lot easily accomodates it. Their beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and the breakfast was plentiful and well-organized. I can't imagine needing more amenities and their rates are pretty good for a BW.
Only stayed for one night passing through town. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Pool was a little small and green but we were the only ones there so do-able. Small town feel and very nice lobby. Great location and quiet. make sure the curtains are closed as the outside lights are bright.
It seems to me Best Western hotels and motels have improved their quality and reliability in recent year. I have traveled extensively in the US over the last 50 years. I look for quality at an inexpensive price and reliable quality at different chain locations. This Best Western at Post and the others I have stayed at in the last couple of years meet those criteria quite well.
Considering this is a franchise hotel it was a huge let down to say the least. The employees were great considering that they had to work in a sweat box. The public areas of this hotel were as hot as the temp.outside. Staff had no towels for the guest, pool was green. The suite was clean and cool inside. The brand "Best Western" should check out this franchise because it was a disgrace to the company.
Clean room, reasonable rates and very comfortable after a long motorcycle ride! I would recommend this hotel very much! Breakfast was decent. Nice place to stop before finishing our ride back into DFW!
Great staff even better house keepers! Very clean!!! Horrible ownership stayed bi weekly for 2 months and hallway/ lobby/ breakfast Ac did not work was told it was being fixed and after 2 months it hasn't been touched best western get your independent owners to fix equipment will not stay there it's unbearable me and other guest as well think it's ridiculous to pay 100$ for a hotel that's hotter inside then it is outside
I would like to state it is a nice hotel with wonderful morning staff, housekeepers do a outstanding job as I stay bi weekly for business renting 4+ rooms. but considering driving to Lubbock. hall way and lobby are extremely hot!!!!! it's unbearable to eat breakfast at 7 am it was 80 degrees. I was told it is being worked on but after a month it still has not! Great staff great hotel horrible owner ship! Get your a/c fixed
Very friendly staff and nice, clean rooms. The Hotel was clean and the decor was nice. We stay here every year on our way south and would not consider anywhere else to stay. This Hotel is well situated on the main highway in the town and is easy to find.
Common areas and room were clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again while travelling through northwest Texas. The beds were too firm for my tastes. NOTE: Confusing pet policy. They assign pets to rooms marked as no pets. They claim two highly different pet fees: $22 for smoking rooms and $75 for non smoking rooms. Signage and policy errors need revision. I would never pay $75 for one pet night, nor would I ever stay in a smoking room. Truck parking area had sign stating "Full RV Hookups". I saw numerous 15 amp 110 outlets, but never saw any 30 or 50 amp outlets, nor any water or sewage outlets. That is not a full hookup in any RVers mind.
When the desk clerk will let you use there cell phone to call home because your cell phone has no service. To me that is going above the call of duty. Then she suggested I turn off my phone then turn it back on. Then the phone had service. This is why I stay at Best Western Hotels. Thank you Best Western Hotels, For all that you do for us weary travelers. R. L. Siegel
I recently stayed here while traveling through Texas. I arrived in the middle of a dust storm, so I was immediately restricted to my room. The room was big and the bed comfortable. However the ice machine was noisy, right outside my door, and the light in my entry flickered even when turned off. There is nothing special about this hotel, but I would stay here again if necessary.
I spent one night at the hotel to attend a funeral. I had requested a second floor room away from ice machine, etc. so it would be quiet. I had a first floor room overlooking a busy highway, next to an entrance door and almost next to the ice and vending machines. Very noisy. Room was fairly clean but very dark/drab. Staff at check in was very nice. I inquired about paying for late check out the next day because of timing of the funeral. I was told that she would note it and go ahead and charge it to which I agreed. The next day when I went to check out at a few minutes after 1pm, the clerk was almost rude in asking me if I had informed someone that I would be checking out late. I assured her that I had and that the account was supposed to already be billed for it. When she checked it was billed but apparently the information was not passed on to housekeeping and the staff for that day. After midnight the night of my stay I heard water running in the bathroom, enough that it sounded like someone had turned the shower on. When I got up to look, there was a water fall coming out of the shower enclosure around the shower head. I called the front desk to let them know. I was informed that they did not have a different room to move me to. However, no one came to look at this leak. I was relieved when it finally stopped and the room was quiet again. Just in case this was not passed on, I mentioned it to the clerk when I was checking out. I was told that the "drip" had been entered into the system and she would take the $20 late check out fee off of my bill. I appreciate this but not the fact that I was treated like I was trying to get something for free and don't know the difference between a possible leak and a "drip." I wish I had thought to video the waterfall that night. Hopefully this gets checked into before it becomes worse and damages inside the wall or the floor because it is likely coming from the room above. Overall, this is an ok place to stay if you are overnighting in Post but some of the customer service attitude could use improvement.
We were on our way to Lubbock and though we would spend the night here to relax and have a leisurely ride in the AM. We booked a room online at this hotel chose the only room left. Two queens in a smoking room. We arrived and the smell in the room of the smoke was overpowering but that was not all. The floor, bedspreads, curtains and furniture are extremely worn. The towels were so thin from wear you could almost see through them. The toilet paper is thin and only 3 squares were left on the roll. The sheets on the bed do not fit right. I'm not sure all the rooms are as bad as this one but make sure you stay away from room 224.
Recently in the area late at night and made a decision to stay here based on trip advisor review instead of driving on to next town. Glad that we did. The hotel has a very nice front desk staff and they were attentive. Nice room , ac worked, continental breakfast got us down the road.
Post is a very small town and few options for Motels. Our last stay was at a different Motel and that was not a great experience and was over priced. This Best Western was beautiful, comfortable, affordable and friendly staff. Thank you for making it a pleasant experience.
This best western is not one of the newer ones, but it is definitely well kept and maintained for your comfort. Our room had 2 huge queen size beds with 4 large nice pillows. The carpet and bathroom, was as clean as I have seen anywhere. They have a great breakfast in the morning for you also. There is a generous selection, and it is really good. Plan on staying here everytime we come thru Post which will be more frequent now.
I stayed with my two kids on the way to New Mexico. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the hotel--it looks practically new. Nice sized rooms, comfortable beds and a clean bathrooms. Great complimentary breakfast--waffles, biscuits, gravy, eggs, cereal, fruit, etc. Fantastic value.
This hotel has the feeling of having been there for awhile. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The property was nice and plenty of parking. The front desk help was awesome. The only drawback was the breakfast. I did not get the same freshness I am use to at a Best Western. Other than that I like it very much.
I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights on a business trip this past week. The folks at the reception desk are always very friendly and helpful. I stayed on the 2nd floor in a quiet room. The area has the "smell of money", as there are active oil wells being pumped all around. The interior of the hotel did not have the same odor, which I appreciated. Breakfast choices included a choice of cereals, yogurt, juices, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy and make-your-own waffles, with coffee or milk to wash it all down. I have stayed in other motels/hotels in rural Texas, and this one is great!
Post, Texas, is certainly not on the "beaten path." So it was a very pleasant surprise to find this nicely appointed motel there. Room was clean and updated; lobby and grounds were well kept. Breakfast offered a hot egg item and biscuits with sausage gravy, plus more.. A very pleasant experience.
Excellent..if anyone has traveled through Texas, you know how huge our state is and what a sight for sore eyes a hotel is when your eyes can no longer stay open. The Best Western in Post, Texas was just what we needed. Great price, pet friendly, big clean and comfy beds.
I wanted to stop between Sweetwater and Lubbock on a multi-day trip. This property is a gem in the desert! Even with my cat, we stayed in an enormous, comfortable, we'll appointed room for under $90! The breakfast was the usual fare, but fully laid out, not skimpy, even though the property was quite empty the night we stayed. The town has a fun surprise as it's name origin, but I don't want to spoil it here.
This Best Western is a very nice place to stay. We had a non-smoking/non-pet room, and it was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were amazing! The only bad thing that I would have to say is that the eggs that were served for breakfast were pretty much tasteless. No flavor at all. But, the waffles were Wonderful!!
Overall it was a good experience during my stay at the hotel. The only complaint I have is with the slow internet service at the hotel. I recommend you provide faster internet service in the future. Room was clean, and breakfast service was good. Location of hotel was good, and easy to access from the roadway.
As usual we enjoyed our stay at Best Western. They always have a hot breakfast and never have to wait to eat. Food already prepared to eat. The room was clean and tidy. Front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we travel we plan accordingly so we can stay in Post Texas at the same hotel BEST WESTERN!!
This hotel, for a small town was wonderful, staff was outstanding, the room was HUGH, very clean, sits right on 84 coming out of Lubbock headed to Austin, VERY busy, but no HWY noise because of the way the rooms are laid out. Post, very historical town, must visit the Post Museum, home of Post Cereal. I will definetly be going back and stay in that Best Western, just ask and they can tell you where to go and what to do. All the staff was super.
This Best Western is a regular visit for us. It is always clean, the rooms are large and the breakfast is more than adequate. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was not working properly but we called downstairs and within 5 minutes, it had been reset. We slept well and it was very quiet.
Very consistently good in all ways. Located just outside Lubbock which is perfect for my trip home to Waco. It has nicely appointed rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast includes hot eggs, sausage, bacon and Texas shaped waffles.
We were in town for my husband's 50th high school reunion. There are only 2 good hotels in the small town. We were very satisfied with our stay. Every thing was clean. The breakfast was good. There were bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, etc. They could have used more seating in the breakfast area, but the hotel was full due to the reunion & a nearby college game. The beds were comfy. No complaints.
Nice to sleep in a room that does not smell of cigarettes. Large comfortable room. Need more bacon in the breakfast, so get there early if you prefer bacon. A thunderstorm came through the city the first night but we did't hear it.
We booked smoking, (only thing available) smelled so bad we asked if they had any cancellations on non smoking rooms. They worked very hard with us, gave us non smoking that night, moved us the next night to another non smoking.
We stayed one night on our way to Ruidoso NM. The room was clean. The hotel is very well kept. The room was very nice and comfortable, And the staff was friendly. We had the breakfast the next morning. It was hot, and good. We enjoyed our stay here.
