    « Family »

The service was very good and all the staff was very pleasant. The decor of the hotel when you walk in is very nice and elegant giving you the sense of a clean and nice atmosphere that it is. Our room was clean bed was very comfortable. Only downside is where they are located there is a bad smell in the air which comes throught the vents and gives your room a really bad odor but I purchased a small size travel can of febreze that really helped. Breakfast was really nice too

« Don't even think about staying here »

Room was very sparsely furnished. Hotel cleanliness was not good. No hot water and no concern from the staff as to getting it fixed or guest comfort. I had planned to stay 3 nights, stayed 1 and hated it.

    « wedding »

numerous problems in a number of the rooms we booked for a wedding no hot water staff was very rude when differant family members were making reservations one family member was actually hung up on because the person at the desk said he was to busy

« Great If you like smell of barnyard »

This hotel is ok, good value, located close to airport. But at night we turned air conditioning on and were greeted with smell of cow manure. Went outside and about gagged at smell in air. Not sure what is nearby, but not pleasant place to stay unless you are a cow.

« Complimentary Dinner and Breakfast »

Only minutes from the Mesa airport. Service at front desk, shuttle, breakfast all performed well with a smile. The room was comfortable and clean. A surprise was the complimentary meal provided a dinnertime. There isn't a restaurant within easy walking distance and we had turned in our rental car so this was a great convenience for us. Our night it was chili and really good cornbread. We will stay here again.

« Would recommend to family and friends »

Wonderful employees. Very clean and central location. Would stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was delicious. We were not concerned about our baggage while out of the hotel as housekeeping made us feel secure and safe.

    « Amazing »

Very good hotel to stay at. Front desk were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was amazing the rooms were great and nice and big. Would stay again. The manger was amazing and answered all of my questions that i had. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and cleaned my room very well.

« Comfortable Best Western near Mesa Gateway Airport. Feels new. Free Dinner! »

Really! Free Dinner! Not very elegant but a nice touch if you arrive and just want to chill in the Bar or Room. Sloppy Joe's that night. A short drive from Appleby's etc. Includes a complimentary beer or wine, too. Great rates that night, A free shuttle to airport. I will be back!

« Nice Place, Interesting Odor »

Really a nice, comfortable, and clean place. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. Rooms were good size and well kept. Pool is smaller and located in the back. Bar area had nice TV's and was a cool place to hang out as a group. Only negative was the wonderful smell of manure strong. Who doesn't enjoy the scent of fresh fertilizer in the morning?! Whew...this fresh airl definitely got your attention!

    « wonderful stay »

Our stay at this hotel in Mesa was really lovely. The employees were all extremely helpful and pleasant. They offered both free full breakfasts but also free dinner plates and one free drink at happy hour at the bar. The room was most welcoming with nice decor and a comfortable bed. Quiet and wonderful to stay at.

« An extra bonus at this hotel »

We were visiting a relative in the area and she said she heard it was a nice place to stay. It not only was nice, it was great. At check in we were offered two drink tickets and two meal tickets. The clerk explained they offered a light meal. It was a hamburger and potato salad and both were good. We were tired and really didn't need to eat out, so gave it a try. The wine was good and so was our dinner. Pool water outdoors was cold so we did not go in.

« Great Staff, and very clean »

I have stayed at the Best Western Legacy Inn for the past two years at least once a month. I have chosen other hotels to stay at in the area and have regretted it. The staff, cleanliness, swim pool and hot tub are top notch.

A number of family members were meeting in the area to visit my elderly Mother. We needed a location convenient to San Tan Valley area, Phoenix, and close to the airports. The service was great. The hotel was clean and a great value for the price. We will be staying again on future family get togethers in the area.

    « My View »

This Motel matched my needs for location. It was clean. Service was prompt. Morning and evening free meals were a plus. The air conditioner struggled to cool room. Bath fixture was broken but functioning.

    « A Great Value! »

We needed a room near Mesa Gateway Airport because we had an early flight out the next morning. I am so glad we chose this property. The grounds were nicely maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly and seemed to be pleased we were there. The room was super clean and had all adequate towels and a bath mat. "Happy Hour" turned out the be dinner and a complimentary beverage. That night we had pulled pork sandwiches and cole slaw and it was delicious. The room was comfortable and quiet. The next morning we chose to leave our car at the hotel, a service they offer for a small extra fee, and take the hotel shuttle to the airport. When we got back into town, one call to the hotel and the shuttle came back to get us. When I consider what I saved on dinner and long term airport parking fees, this hotel was a huge bargain!!!

    « Great People »

This is a very clean and organized hotel with a great bunch of people that really take care of you when you visit. All the rooms are always clean and areas in and outside of the hotel are always the best.

« Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport Park and Fly »

Due to an early flight out of Gateway airport in Mesa, we needed a Park and Fly hotel. I chose Best Western Legacy Inn and Suites. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived in the evening and hungry to find that they had a complimentary dinner of Pulled Pork sandwiches, plus wine or beer. They really hit the spot! The hot tub and pool were really relaxing too. The shuttle was there to take us to our early flight and when we returned we only had to wait about 10 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up and take us to our car. We will definitely stay there again!

« Conveniently located to Mesa Gateway »

We stayed one night at this hotel to be near the airport for an early morning flight out of Mesa Gateway. The hotel is located about 3 miles from the airport. The drive is an easy one from the hotel or they have a shuttle. The staff was extremely welcoming and pleasant. The room was clean and stayed plenty cool. It is decently appointed with a comfy bed. Our room had a microwave and small fridge. There were no noise issues and the wifi worked just fine. They had a small pool, a small hotel bar that was open until 9pm. The breakfast was included. They have a continental breakfast starting at 4:00am if you have to leave before their hot and plentiful breakfast that starts at 6:30am. No complaints. We will likely stay here again because of the convenient location and reasonable price.

    « Great stay »

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and roomy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The onsite amenities were great. I enjoyed the breakfast and the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon were a great welcome. I also enjoyed being able to go to the lobby and have water or lemonade whenever I wanted. The complimentary meal in the evening was great as well.

    « Legacy Inn & Suites »

I would recommend this Best Western hotel to any travelers staying in Mesa, Az or in the immediate area. The staff is great, the location is right off the 202 freeway. There is close access to restaurants, gas stations, and of course to Gateway Airport.

« Squirrel in the AC???? »

I was disappointed that in a ten day stay they missed room service twice. Additionally, the AC unit was acting weird and kept the room around 76-78 degrees instead of 70 degrees, which for Phoenix, AZ is important to me. I also think that I head a rodent in the AC unit, but I didn't want to confirm that personally.

    « Great hotel »

We enjoyed our stay. Kids liked the pool, rooms were clean, beds good. San tan malls a short drive away. Target, sweet tomatoes & a kids resale shop very close. We will be back ! comped 1 night due to a flight cancellation & hotel credited us with no problem.

« Quite high end service for lower price »

From arrival to departure there were no problems lots of smiles and employees who genuinely cared about my comfort and satisfaction. The room was clean and the maid was happy to accommodate my special requests the breakfast was exquisite.

« Not happy with room »

Fridge was not clean. No TV remote. Bathroom frame broken and sticking out. Candy wrappers were in closet not picked up. Room was not cleaned at all one day. Called maid to clean, and she promised extra towels for our inconvenience. When we came back after she cleaned room, she never left any towels at all. Hallways were not vacuumed for the three days we were there.

    « Surprisingly good »

I recently went to Phoenix for a concert and found the Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hotel was based on other Best Westerns I have stayed at. The rooms were classice "Southwestern" decor but very clean well maintained and comfortable. The bathrooms were were spacious and clean as well. The pool was a welcome amenity and it too was well maintained and properly cleaned. Breakfast was complimenty continential and was adequate for a no cost starter. My only "gripe" was the poor lighting in the rooms. A hall light and 2 lamps that provided little light. At the end of the day I'd stay there again

« Best Place in the Valley »

One of the best motels ever. Awesome service. I was meeting my bone marrow donor for the fgirst time and wanted a private place other than the lobby. They got us a conference room and provided ice water and cups. This was a special occasion made even greater by you guys. W4 stay there everything we come to your area. Can't be beat.

    « Park and Fly »

We thoroughly enjoyed out short stay at this hotel. We parked our car there for the week that we were away. When we arrived, there were freshly baked cookies at the check in desk which we really enjoyed after a two hour drive. The parking area was near trees which offered some shade from the hot Arizona sun. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast was adequate and the staff was very nice. The shuttle was efficient and promptly picked us up on our return. Will definitely stay here again!

    « Family Trip »

Nice but not perfect Motel. Clean and presentable with a reasonable price. After seven days the breakfast became very boring and average. Bed was comfortable but the air conditioner was noisy. All of the staff were very helpful and personable.

« Will definately stay there again »

Love this hotel. Centrally located to everything a traveler needs. Staff was more than helpful. A great value for the type of room we had. Plenty of room to walk around in and the couch was a bonus. Breakfast was well prepared and always stocked. Coming to Arizona again in February for a week and will definitely stay here again.

« The Best stay at Phoenix »

It was a central place to stay at Phoenix. You can go to all over the country to look for interesting things. Nice restaurants allover. And the weather ist almost warm - soo good. The rooms are comfortable and clean.Breakfast is very good. You can use w-lan. If you want, you can go to the pool.

« Trip to the Phoenix valley »

A lovely oasis of calm! Nice friendly staff, and very helpful! Food for breakfast was full of variety, and they earn extra points from the granddaughter-they had Cocoa Puffs! The housekeeping staff even made her an elephant towel!

« Great Place To Stay When Catching a Jet at Gateway »

My second visit to the Legacy and both times were great. The staff is great, rates are very good, hotel in great shape and close to Mesa Gateway Airport. In addition they offer a cold breakfast starting at 04:00 for those with early flights. Will stay again!

    « Good value »

Everything was great. Used park and stay for Gateway airport and that worked very well. The staff was very accommodating, the room clean, and the breakfast quite acceptable. I would stay there again. Certainly no complaints.

« Close to most in Gilbert »

We stayed one night, it was peaceful and quiet, we stayed in a room away from Power Road as it can be noisy. We were in for 65th birthday event and this was a most convenient place to stay. No problems with anything in the room and we was offered a happy hour drink. Unfortunately could not partake and even missed the breakfast. However, saw that all looked presentable.

    « Mesa 1st Timer »

Very pleasant experience. New hotel. Clean room. Friendly personnel including the drivers of the shuttles from and to the airport. The cookies on the front counter were delicious. They tasted homemade.

« friendly service, excellent accomodations »

although i could not get hot water, i did take a lukewarm shower; the lady who check me out gave me a discounted rate, and i am satisfied she did all she could. this hotel offered free dinner and breakfast!!

    « Desert stay »

The check in was fast and easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice big pool. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had very good internet service at the motel.

    « Relaxing »

The final leg of this family trip landed us here. While a little further out of town than I remembered (I used to live in the valley) the freeway access gets you where you need to be with no problems. The room is great, the hotel offered free hot breakfast with a number of options. Also, there is a little bar serving beer and wine at great prices. They also offer a small dinner fare if you want to eat-in. The pool is nice and clean along with the rest of the hotel. Freeway access to two shopping venues and dining for any type of eating you want. This area is a little bare still but is quickly growing. Hotel staff are very nice, though we haven't yet had to ask them for anything we needed. The room has a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge so grabbing a microwave meal or reheating leftovers is a snap. I really enjoy staying here. I do suggest asking for an east facing room since the AZ sun will make your room a little warm in case you forget to turn up the AC. I would definitely stay here again.

« Great clean facility for the money! »

The desk staff was very kind and friendly at any time of the day or night. The cookies were delicious! It was so nice to come back from a busy day and enjoy a drink in the lounge with a dinner included.

    « Overall great experience »

The only con I can think of is that the room door is very heavy to push open. Derick and the lady that prepared breakfast were extremely kind and made sure that I was happy. I completely enjoyed breakfast. They had everything you may want to have for breakfast. Family was impressed and enjoyed their stay.

    « just an overnighter.............July 22, 2016 »

Mine starts out like Amy C. did hers. We chose this one because its close to Mesa-Gateway airport and we stayed once before. The price is reasonable ($85 I think) and we arrived late, abt 10:30PM. The room was clean, quiet (until 4AM), and bed big and compfy. Refer not plugged in/turned on but no matter to me. I did like the heavy brown drapes that blocked that AZ morning sun. Sunrise was so pretty too. A big tall palm tree was outside my window and since I was awake at sunrise (see 4AM comment above) I got to enjoy it. Also a bit later I decided I'd go for a walk outside instead of using the fitness center altho I used it later anyway. Kind of an industrial area but no problems. Breakfast had scrambled eggs/ham, pastries, cereal, biscuits&gravy, juices and good coffee.(standard Cont. bfast I guess) The pool is just outside the breakfast room. At 10:30PM on July 22 when we arrived my son in law escorted me in and talked to the front desk clerk abt the smell. I said it smelled of skunk, son in law said it was "pot". I don't know if it was either. I do know after sleeping maybe 4 hours someone either down the hall from my room at 336 or the floor below kept slamming their door! going in and out with no regard for anyone else. I called finally the front desk and spoke to Zack who said he'd check it out. He did& heard no slams. It didn't get better for me so 10 min. later I called again and he said "It must be the floor below you - I will check it out." Still no change. SO i guess the good news is the hotel was responsive, however, bad news is it didn't help.Next day Dave was the shuttle driver and it ran every half hour (liked that)I got downstairs at 10:20 AM and he took me right away. That was nice. Also Derrick went out of his way to get me change for a $10 bill. Otherwise it was ok for a one nighter. AS ALWAYS, no one tells me what to write as a review. I just want fellow travelers to know how MY visit was.

« Nice place to stay near Mesa Airport »

This was a nice place to stay for the price. We chose it due to the location being so close to Mesa Airport. We arrived late at night and departed early in the morning. It was clean, comfortable and met our needs within a modest budget. We didn't use any of the hotel amenities, like the included breakfast, but I'm sure it would have been fine. Everything looked nice. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and we were on our way.

« Great Hospitality and Free Shuttle to the Airport »

We stayed here for 1 night prior to an early flight. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the free chocolate chip cookies as a bedtime snack. We grabbed a free cold breakfast at 5 am prior to our free shuttle to the airport for a 6:30 flight. Wonderful place to stay.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

This hotel is new, clean and comfortable. Close to Williams/Gateway airport and offered a shuttle service. They do charge $20 to leave your car there, which turned out to be cheaper than the airport parking lot, but most motels don't charge. If there was a negative it was in staffing. The evening clerk appeared to be the only one working and we had to wait almost 40 minutes on the return shuttle van ride back to the motel, which is about 10 minutes away from Williams/Gateway. We used our BW Rewards points for our stay. But I would go return to that BW again.

« The best Best Western »

We chose this Best Western based on the great reviews, affordable price and nice location. Growing up in Arizona, I remembered that this was a nice area. Any of the lesser priced motels nearby are in less desirable areas. We only needed to stay one night in between arriving at Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport and heading up to Prescott so this location was perfect as it is close to the airport. First impression was good as the landscaping and building inside and out were really nice. Staff at the front desk were pleasant and professional. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We also liked that the rooms were accessed from the inside with an elevator, making a June visit a little more bearable and lugging luggage a little easier! The pool and spa were nice and clean and the perfect temperature. I have raved to everyone how impressed I was with this Best Western since our trip!

« Makes flying in and out of Mesa do-able! »

I have stayed here many times when flying in and out of Mesa on Allegiant Airlines. The best thing about this hotel is the shuttle. The drivers are very friendly, and will pick you up at all hours (allegiant is rather unreliable time-wise) and will take you to dinner, shopping, and car rental. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable, but I'm usually too tired to enjoy it fully.

    « EXCELLENT! »

I highly recommend this property for any type of travel. Very Spacious rooms and very clean. Décor is modern. The staff was very helpful always. Nice Happy hour bar too. Not to far from some good eats.

« Best Western is the BEST! »

Our family had an excellent experience at this hotel in Phoenix-Mesa. It's a 5 minute drive to the airport there. Very close to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it!

    « Couldn't be better »

Our A/C went out during the hottest week of the year so far. The customer service was excellent from check-in through check-out. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was better than most we've experienced. The "dinner" and drinks were a wonderful surprise. They helped turn a horrible situation to a vacation getaway.

    « All Around Satisfaction »

I love the location, free shuttle service, and friendliness of staff. I stay here every time I come to Phoenix. I always have the same service and appreciate the staff's willingness to make my trip as stress-free as possible.

  • 2
    « house keeping »

there was a pile of dirty towels on the bathroom floor that were never picked up by house cleaning, this is totally unacceptable. Each room should be double checked before the staff leave to clean the next room

« Great stay close to Mesa/Gateway Airport »

Room was comfortable.Upon check in there were cookies on the counter and we were given a dinner an drink coupon. Good soup for dinner and a glass of wine was nice. The swimming pool was small but enjoyable. We took a 4:30 am shuttle to the airport which was on time and we were able to have coffee and muffins before we went. We were able to keep our car parked at the hotel for our 1 week trip away. Arriving back at the airport we just had to call the hotel and they came to the airport and brought us back to our car.

    « Average »

Average stay. I stayed in many many Best Western's and for the price expected a little better breakfast selection. I also told them numerous times that I had a rewards card. No one seemed to care. The rewards system is VERY confusing.

« the best in the west »

derrick at the front desk was spectacular! the chef / server for dinner was great!! housekeeping was gracious and pleasant. atmosphere was family oriented with everyone having fun. the breakfast attendant was helpful and cheery.

« Great Hotel and Location for Travel »

Perfect location for travelling out of Mesa Gateway -- this hotel offers shuttle to/from airport, and offers shuttles to dinner, shopping, etc. Breakfast is included, as is dinner and a drink. the price is great in the summer, but we have also stayed over holidays and we love it.

« Great amenities at a low price »

We paid $65 night + tax. Free shuttle to airport, free hot breakfast, free dinner (not fancy - sloppy joe, chili, burgers), free cocktail, fitness center, coin-op laundry, free coffee and juice all day long, free parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable, not fancy. I thought it was an amazing value. I did not buy any meals on this trip. We were here to close on a house,( not a vacation) so, we were trying to economize. I would highly recommend this hotel esp.if you have kids. Super convenient!

    « awesome stay! »

This is the perfect place for a quick couples get a way. The staff is kind and attentive. The room was cozy, clean and large. The beds here make you want to stay longer. I enjoyed every thing from the pool, the lounge and the complimentary breakfast. We will be back! Thank you Best Western?

    « Very Clean »

This was a convenient and very clean hotel. Convenient to freeway with easy access. The only negative for us was we did not have much water pressure for the shower. Otherwise, we would defininitely stay there again.

    « Baseball Tournament »

When I found out the resort my grandson's team was staying at was an hour from the amazing baseball fields in Gilbert, Az. I changed to Best Western. It was the best move. I could see all the fields from my room. The rates were lower than the "group" rates, included breakfast which the team hotel didn't, and even included dinner two of the nights. The room was clean, one night the neighbors were loud, but they left. The rest of the stay was quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

    « Love Hotel »

Would stay there again, meet all my needs. Room needed to be cleaned better. There was a lot of dust behind the night stand and bottom of walls. Staff was great, helped with all needs and issue. Went for a softball tournament.

« Convenient to Mesa airport and east Phoenix suburbs »

Clean, friendly staff. Manager's wine reception on night of arrival and COOKIES! Best chioice for me because proximity of my daughters home. Was a little noisy the Friday and Saturday night of our visit because of a Lacrosse tournament being held locally.

    « Just ok... »

My mom and I booked 2 separate rooms within minutes of each other on hotels dot com and BOTH of us noted that we'd like to be next to the other. This was booked a MONTH in advance. Sadly, when we arrived that evening to check in (me with my 4 kids and she had my dad and brother) We were no where near each other. She had also requested not to be in a handicap room and that's EXACTLY where they put her. The girl checking us in was not very friendly and when I called later (at 10:05) to find out when the pool closed she practically hung up on me. Pool was supposed to close at 10 but we had a pool view room and could hear people talking until after 11. I had to turn a white noise app on my phone so my kids could go to sleep. Nothing was done after I called at 10:05. The people weren't being loud, but every word carried and we could hear full conversation and laughing. The room was ok. The temp was hard to get right. Sheets and towels were all various shades of tan, which I thought was strange. Bathroom had pink scum in the grout and dirt in the sink. Shower had very little water pressure. Carpet gave the toddler black feet. Bring flip flops. Beds were ok, pretty firm but not awful. Sheets were scratchy and pillows were very lumpy. Breakfast was just ok. Usual continental faire. When I asked about the "gluten free" options that were advertised on a sign, they brought my daughter cheerios. Overall, it was just average. We've stayed at worse and we've stayed at far better. It's amazing though how the front desk is your first impression and she really soured it for me.

    « Close to airport »

We booked the room because it was close to the airport and had a shuttle. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The outdoor hot tub was one of the best we had used in quite awhile. They served soup and bread in the evening along with cookies. Cold breakfast was set up at 4:30 am with the hot breakfast at 6:00. We had to leave before 6:00 but the rolls and coffee were good. It only took us about five minutes to get to the Mesa airport.

    « Noisy Location/Rooms »

Although the rooms are clean and nice, I found this hotel to be extremely noisy. My room was facing Power Road and the traffic was very noisy even at night. The other thing was that I could hear the people in the room next to me talking.... and it wasn't even an adjoining room. They came in at 1 am in the morning and it was like they were in my room. I mentioned it when I checked out the next morning, and although the front desk person was very nice and said she could have moved me, I told them that packing up my room at 1 am was not going to happen. With other hotels in the area, I will not be going back to this location at all.

    « wet floors »

The floors were always being wet mopped during breakfast and check-out. Imagine eating and smelling bleached mop water. Also wet floors are a slipping hazard when you luggage.. The bed was king size but the bottom sheet was queen.

« Beware of the Stench »

As others have commented, the farm/manure smell is very real and overwhelming. It's truly gag inducing. If you run the air conditioning it draws more if it into your room. There is no escaping it and made sleeping difficult. It's too bad because it's otherwise a nice hotel.

    « Quiet »

Stayed in April for a few days. Somewhat out in the open yet close to the traffic. Breakfast is free, simple yet decent. Rooms are livable, beds somewhat hard, but again somewhat soft. Not the best hotel in Arizona, but clearly not the worst.

    « Very Nice »

Hotel was great! Room was huge, staff was very attentive and friendly. Outdoor pool was nice. We had to leave before breakfast hours, but they still had cold breakfast available, even at 4am. I did not notice any smell near the hotel that others have complained about. The only downside of the place, is that the parking lot is small, and it is on a pretty busy road. Overall, had a great stay, and would definitely reccommend.

« A lot of little perks, good stay »

Stayed one night here recently, the property is located in the rural area of Mesa. It was nice to see the cows next door. What I didn't expect was the free dinner (minestrone soup which was pretty good and focaccia bread which might have been a little stale). And I appreciated the free drink from the bar (draft or wine). The fresh cookies at the desk were also appreciated. Our room was spacious, but the view was limited, just three feet away was the wall of another section of the building, but we were not there for vacation so it didn't matter. Thankfully the airconditioning ran without a hitch, and the bathroom amenities were all there. However, the lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim but manageable. They do have a pool and jacuzzi which we didn't get to use, and a free hot breakfast which we didn't get to use because of a very early departure. The only distraction for me was the dark carpeting. Behind our door was dust bunnies and debris which was obvious. Unfortunately from then on I saw all the carpet edging everywhere. I know that vacuums don't reach the edge and have no doubt that housekeeping runs them all the time, but once I saw the edges my eyes were stuck. The staff we encountered were great, and all in all we enjoyed our stay here for one night.

    « Awsome! »

The staff was fantastic! The room and surroundings were also excellent. I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about my experience at this Best Western location. I always TRY to stay at a Best Western because the rooms and service are reliable. This location is no exception to (my) rule.

    « Couldn't be any better!!! »

I can't think of anything that could have been better about this hotel!!! My room was HUGE, clean and nicely furnished with a great little fridge, microwave and the rest of the standard items. In addition to free continental breakfast, they provide a free dinner every night with free tap or bottled beer and wine!!! The pool faces west so you get sun all the way till sunset. The staff was amazingly friendly...a guy got wasted drunk and threw up in the pool so they asked him to leave the pool, and of course he was quite argumentative, but the manager that was escorting him did an incredible job of calming him down and even carried all his stuff (two coolers and more) for him as he walked him back to his room. The front desk was remarkably friendly, and when my flight landed at the nearby airport (Phoenix-Mesa Gateway), I called them to ask for a shuttle pick up, and before I even hung up the phone the driver was pulling up at the curb. Even the housekeepers were awesome and friendly. It's located kitty-corner from a Circle K that is pretty large with a great selection and a Red Box, and within a mile there's shopping of all sorts including a Target, Fry's, Walmart and plenty of restaurants, all of which are reachable by bus, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Holy WOW I was BEYOND satisfied with this place!!!

    « Vacuum - anyone? »

Usually we stay at a Comfort Inn but decided to staty at BW+ due to promo offer. We were sorry. Our room in this motel needed did the hall. Otherwise it would have been a good experience.

    « Don't expect much »

Hotel looked nice, staff was not friendly, seemed too busy to even check us in. Room was not cleaned well and not cleaned at all the 2nd day. Bathroom looked clean, but did not smell clean. Floor needed good scrubbing, fridge was not clean. Sour smell in room. Pool was nice, but getting towels was an issue and then knowing where to put them when finished. It is waaaayy out of town.

    « No More »

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and there have been issues virtually every time. This time we finally had enough so we cancelled our last two days and won't be returning. We were supposed to be able to check in at 3:00 but when we tried to check in at 4:00 they said they had no rooms available. I tried again at 7:00 and was told the same thing. There were people stacked all over the lobby in the same situation. We finally were able to access our room at 8:30. In fairness, I was able to negotiate a partial refund the next morning with the manager. I'm not mad at anyone, but this is just one more problem in what seems as to be an endless array of issues at this hotel, so we will not be coming back.

    « Nice place »

Nice hotel that isn't too far from the major highways, easy to get in and out of. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hot tub was very nice, used it three times during our week stay. Breakfast wasn't anything big but enough to get you started for the day. In the evenings had a free drink at the lounge which we were able to do three evenings.

« Nice hotel -- check in poor »

No problems with the hotel except tried to check in early and found room was not available yet. Asked when it might be ready and I was told check in was at 3. The clerk made no effort at all to check with housekeeping to see if we could get in early. I understand check in times but when we returned at 3 we had to wait nearly 40 minutes for our room to be ready. Not acceptable!

    « Hotel Review »

Excellent staff and all of the property was tidy and clean. We did experience noisy neighbors which was disappointing. Also the pool was located in the back of the hotel which didn't receive any morning sun. Location was easy access so that was nice!

    « Not impressed »

Room and hotel were nice and clean. Pool was not heated even though they said it was, pool area had 5 chairs and was very small. The placement location of the pool was horrible, it took almost until 1 pm to get sum. Our room every morning had Luke warm to cold water for the shower from 5 am until 100pm. Had no issues in the evening taking a shower. I complained to the front desk and she stated that they have heard this complaint before and would let her manager know again. So you guys know about a problem and still have not fixed it hmmmm.

    « Close to Phx/Gateway Airport »

Best Western hit this building design out of the park. Really nice hotel with everything you need! Free shuttle service to the airport and anywhere within 5 miles. It has a refreshing pool, a wine and beer lounge that is transformed to the breakfast lounge with a lot of great choices that are served in the morning.

« Best Western Lecacy in Mesa »

Worst hassle I've had in 40 years of staying in hotels from Europe to Costa Rica to US. They guaranteed rates, sent guarantee, and then overcharged us by 25% and couldn't figure out how to correct it after last night, this morning with the Gen Mgr and still not resolved They admit their error but can't figure out how to reverse Overcharges.

« Great room, great front desk service, but did not get wake up call »

Room was wonderful, front desk service impeccable. However I called the front desk to get a 4:45 am wake up call to make the airport in time and did not get the call. I had also set my alarm on my cell phone so we were up in time to make our flight.

    « Estrella »

This BW was the best choice for me as it was the nicest hotel close to Schnepf's farm where the SCA Atenveldt War is held in Feb/Mar every year. I was unable to camp this year therefore BW to the rescue. The hotel is a bit pricey but very nice with a frig and microwave as well as a nice breakfast every morning. The staff is friendly and helpful and parking is good. Only 12 miles form site with two Wal-marts between.

« The smell of the room was horrible »

This room smelled horrible. An employee sprayed something around the room to mask the smell but even he said it still smelled when he left. He left his bottle of spray with us so we could use it if we wanted. We did spray some more but the spray did not overcome the horrible smell. It smelled like the toilet had overflowed or that someone had died in the room.

Staying here as I write this and the smell inside the room is disgusting and I can't describe the stench outside. I have breathing problems and the smell coming in thru the air conditioner is not helping. Perhaps sleeping in the hallway might be an vents there! Best Western couldn't pay me to stay here again

« Not worth the stay! »

I liked this hotel because they offered "breakfast included". Bad choice!. They offered free dinner, but for a limited time. We were not there. A free glass of wine, but again, limited time when it was open. And the one I wanted, free breakfast....we were there but there was no food available...too many people eating. I'll stay somewhere else next time. I have 4 more long trips to make this year......we will not be staying at the BW!!

« The Smell can be really bad with the right conditions »

I stayed at the hotel because it was near the hotel. But shortly after checking in I started to notice a weird smell in the room. I thought that it was like the smell of urine. I called down to the desk to ask for someone to come up and smell my heater vent and that's when I was told about the farm in the area. I didn't notice it when I checked in whether the breeze changed or not. When I woke up in the morning and went to check out at 5:30 am I couldn't hardly breeze outside it was so bad. The young lady went on to say it's always worse when it's colder outside. The hotel is close to the airport but I can honestly say that I'll try to stay somewhere further away.

    « Quick stay »

My mother and I stayed one night at this hotel. The staff was very helpful. Dinner and breakfast were adequate. Very clean room and beds were good. The only thing that marred our stay was the noise from surrounding rooms. Not happy to be awakened early on the morning we had planned to sleep in by the sounds of people talking and moving around in the rooms around us.

« The other reviews are correct on the smell! »

We were here with a big group for a hockey tournament. The other reviews are correct...there is apparently a dairy farm nearby, and every night we had a horrible concentrated smell of cow manure. Rooms were OK, but it was noisy. Staff was also not very accommodating.

    « Needs improvement »

Hot water was not consistent, had to hurry to take a shower before water went cold. The "free dinner" was poor quality. Either provide a better a better tasting meal or lower rates. We've stayed here before when the rates were lower and no meal and was fine with that,

    « Noisey »

The room was large, good pillows, bed good, clean, but heard noises from surrounding rooms. During the night it sounded like a herd of elephants were running in the halls and rooms. Definitely will not stay here again.

« Nice hotel but dairy next door STINKS »

We pulled up to the hotel after a long day and were greeted by a an extremely powerful smell of concentrated cow urine and manure. From the parking lot I looked through the chain link fence and there was a pretty good sized dairy right there. The hotel isn't just near a dairy, it's practically in a dairy. I have nothing against the fine, hard working folks who rundairies, but who would build a hotel next door to one?. P. U. The room was comfy and clean but the dairy smell was blowing in through the AC. I haven't checked out the rest of the hotel so I can't comment on that.. The only negative I can say is the dairy smell. I'm so tired I'll just ignore it and fall asleep. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here again.

    « Phoenix TRIP »

The hotel was nice and located near our friends. The only problem with the hotel is the water pressure and very little hot water. Had to take several cold to lukewarm showers. Reported to front desk and it didn't improve until the morning of day 5, when we were departing.

    « It Smells!!! »

Front desk staff were quite rude upon checking in. When we get to our room, A/C doesn't work. We were told when we called front desk that someone would be right one showed. Worst part is that the place is next to a mega dairy farm. The whole place REEKS of manure. I cannot believe that this is not mentioned in all the other reviews. Ugh. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here.

    « Excellent Experience »

This facility was phenomenal - great service, cleanliness, amenities, appearance and style. Nice lounge, pool, evening snacks and breakfast. Easy access to nearby shopping and necessities and great parking.

« Needs updating of decor »

This property has a lot of potential. Very convenient for guests arriving/leaving the Mesa Gateway airport. Good shopping and excellent restaurants nearby. Hotel decor is very plain and unattractive. Pool area is nice. Breakfasts are just O.K. Evening dinner items were excellent and beverages offered were very good.

« Very nice stay out in East Mesa »

This Best Western shines among the hotels I have stayed in this chain. It's waaay on the east side of Mesa. We were out there for a drum corps rehearsal camp weekend, and this was the closest place to stay. There's another Best Western in Apache Junction which is further east. This hotel is near the Phoenix-Mesa airport which I intend to use someday. It flies non-stop to smaller cities and less chaotic than PHX. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. We had no issues with the Legacy Inn and that's a bonus. I rested very well here as I have trouble falling asleep in hotels. I wish we could have spent more time in the room, but we were off volunteering from early morning to late at night. I felt safe parking in the lot; it is well-lit and access to the rooms is indoors. I hope to stay here again.

    « awesome »

This Best Western is the place to stay. Clean, friendly staff, went out of their way to provide for our comfort. Has free shuttle to airport and provides breakfast to go if you leave early. Grounds are well kept and it was quiet yet a big mall was close by that we visited.

« OOOOH That Smell Absolutely rediculous!!!!!! »

This place is aweful!!!!!Period and the lack of hospitality starts at the top with the owners. We checked in around 9pm with our entire hockey team the smell was terrible. We asked the front desk agent about the smell and she seemed not to want to be bothered with it. We proceeded to order pizzas and food for the team as we had been on the road for 12hrs. Upon arrival of the food we proceeded to what appeared to be the lounge breakfast area and was shortly there after told that area was closed and we needed to move. They made no suggestion as where to move we also had brought in our own alcohol and nothing was said until the next morning when we were informed we could not have any alcohol at all in the hotel as their liquor license would be in jeopardy. Completely understandable but why were we not informed of this the night before. Preston was the shining star of the stay. He was very helpful however it was obvious from his responses to certain questions that he has not been trained properly on how to answer certain questions when approached by guests ie: that ridiculous smell. "Oh we are just used to it" Not a good answer. The rooms appeared tidy however the TV's are ridiculous and the walls are paper thin. I listened to someone snore all night from another room. you can hear people in the bathrooms up stairs, not pleasant The breakfast was a joke selection minimal and the sausage gravy was water both mornings. Granted we checked in with our hockey team (14 12yr olds) I understand that the kids can be rowdy but what did you think was coming when you booked our hockey team and 2 other hockey teams also. You guys threatened to call the police on 5 12yr olds really? The fact that call the police even came out of any staff members mouth is ridiculous. No one was doing anything to the level that would require the police. Needless to say once again I say it starts at the top with the owner we spoke to. Being a good ol boy is not hospitality especially when you are paying the prices we were paying. After 2 nights we left along with the other 2 hockey teams. We relocated to the Residence Inn they honored the rate we were paying. The staff was fabulous the moment we walked in, the property was amazing, and I highly suggest that if the Best Western is serious about Hospitality and making there guests truly happy that upper management take a field trip to the Residence Inn for the weekend and take some serious notes. The way we were treated was absolutely unacceptable and if I can save anyone from having to deal with that smell please take heed!!!

    « Works for me »

Easy to access. Clean. Nice large shower and tub. Plenty of thick towels. Room AC/ Heat pretty noisy. No channel guide on TV control to make it easier to find news. Liked the mini fridge and microwave set up. Liked the access to the room was from the inside and the covered awning out front.

« Free shuttle to the Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona »

The Best Western Legacy Motel in Mesa, Arizona is located on the southeast corner of Mesa (or Gilbert ?), Arizona - near the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport and that is the big reason to stay here. I dropped off my car and took an Uber ride to this hotel because I had a flight back home the next day on Allegiant Air. The check-in staff was helpful but not personable -- doing their job but not enjoying it. The room was clean and comfortable - and there was a microwave and a refrigerator. The free WiFi was speedy and reliable. The check-in staff gave me slips of paper for a free drink and a free "dinner" - at 5:30 to 7 PM. Since I didn't have a car any more and there were no restaurants next door, it sounded great. Somehow 5:30 turned into 6:30 and I finally got a glass of wine. Dinner was a kind of spooky-looking pasta casserole ... I still had a microwave popcorn in my suitcase (emergency) and that was my dinner. Breakfast was much better. I had a mid-afternoon flight - and an important college football game to watch at 10 AM local time. The hotel staff arranged to have the airport shuttle driver drop me off at a sports bar - and I watched my team on ESPN. They gave me the hotel phone number and when I called the shuttle driver picked me up at the sports bar and took me to the airport. It made for a perfect day - especially because my team won. So - this is an excellent place to stay if you are flying. if your are not flying, it's remote, isolated, and expensive. There are better choices if you don't need the shuttle service.

« Good hotel bad location »

Something about the location that creates a terrible odor in the hotel inside and out. The hotel in itself is fine otherwise. Staff was great accommodations were just okay because of bad TV's. I would suggest to my friends that they try a different hotel because of the odor.

    « Legacy Inn »

Great place to stay if coming in late, or leaving early from Gateway airport. Excellent pick up sec. Staff went out of their way to correct a billing problem. Handy access to interstate system. Have used them whenever family comes to visit us. Good service and good value.

    « Trip to Mesa »

The Best Western Legacy Inn and Suites in Mesa, AZ is the best place to stay for our family. It is close to the Gateway Airport, several shopping centers, and my daughter's home in Queen Creek. The staff are excellent and the pool is great!

    « Convenience + cleanliness + courteous = good stay »

Recently stayed at this property 2 nights - day we flew in to Mesa and the night before we flew out. It is very convenient to the airport (2 miles?) and several restaurants as well as a gas station to fill up rental car before returning. Front desk is courteous and helpful and I thought it kind that they not only provide breakfast but also a glass of wine/beer in the evenings. They also were providing a simple dinner (sloppy joes, coleslaw) if we wanted to partake. We chose to go to Applebee's but it was a nice gesture. I would have rated it as excellent except for 2 things; we were given a handicapped room both nights (not enough counter space) and there was an odor from a nearby farm. For some reason, the smell was noticeable in the evening but not the morning. I didn't find it to be truly obnoxious just a little unpleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.

    « Excellent Property »

This property close to Mesa Gateway Airport, and was surprisingly a very nice property. The property is clean and beautiful, very inviting to its guests as they have free evening dinners, and the some breakfast items are available as early as 4:30 a.m. I would highly recommend visiting this property any time you need to catch an early flight out of Mesa's airport.

« Our go to place while working in Mesa, AZ »

We like! This is a very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel. Close to the highway and several restaurants. We've used this Best Western hotel many times and have never been disappointed. We will continue to use this as our go to hotel while in Mesa and refer our friends and family. The pool and hot tub are nice and clean. The fitness center is clean and well kept but, a bit small. Our service dog is always welcome.

I would stay here again- friendly and accommodating staff, easy to find, clean rooms and affordable. They have a tiny lounge with free a free drink at certain hours, as well as a bar with some beer on tap. I did not experience any problems or issues during my stay.

« Could have been better »

I will start by saying that this hotel looks nice but we had some issues while staying there. The main problem that I had with this hotel was the smell. It is close to some dairies and it smells like it. There were a couple of nights where we couldn't turn our a/c on because it would make our room smell like cow manure. The other thing that I was not happy with was the quality of our cable in our room. The picture was really fuzzy, I felt like I needed some rabbit ears to try and get better reception. I called down to the front desk the first night and they said that they would have someone fix it in the morning. That never happened. On the second night we were there the room next door had an alarm go off at about 12:30am. It kept going off and I don't think anyone was staying in that room. We called the front desk and after a while they came up and turned it off. Overall this was not a great stay I would not stay here again.

    « Don't stay »

Key to rooms would not work ! Tried multiple time to get the keys to work in the room with no success. Room service finally had to let me into the room. No room at the hotel for me to park for my trip even though there were lots of space open.

« Good quality for the price »

Excellent location for soccer tournament at La Paloma Soccer complex. Nice rooms, friendly staff, and the breakfast was spot on for all our kids. Good and secure Wi-Fi. Cleanliness began from the outside grounds, through the lobby, in the elevator, down the halls, and into our room,

    « Nice, but..... »

No blankets?? How does a major hotel chain not have ANY extra blankets? The thin blanket on the bed, and no bedspread meant a call to the front desk, which said they had no more blankets. Shocking finish to an otherwise nice stay. , combined with the

    « Very Nice »

had an early flight so stayed overnight at the BW Legacy Inn near the airport. Was a very nice room for the price. Staff were friendly. The only complaint I would have is the shuttle service to the airport. Booked it for a 5:30 am departure and there was barely room for us as they overbooked that time. Driver went thru a red light which was a bit scary. They should have a bigger bus to accomodate, other than that it was good.

« Great hotel at great location! »

We were flying out of the Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport and spent the night prior to our flight at this hotel. We were traveling with children and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We were able to return our rental car the night before our flight and the hotel provided a free shuttle. The room was clean and comfortable and the pool was great! Our flight was an early one, but the free breakfast offerings were already available at 4:30 a.m., which was wonderful!

    « Good overnighter for Mesa-Gateway Airport »

The staff was very friendly, the room was large, clean and quiet. Although the hotel is a bit isolated, it's only a couple of minutes to shopping and restaurants. Five minutes from the Mesa-Gateway airport and right off the 202. The only complaint concerned the staff operating the bar and manager's reception. They didn't appear to be familiar with the menu items or what was available at the bar. Minor problem considering the first two drinks were free! I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

This was a pleasant surprise in Mesa. We stayed in room with 2 queen beds which were very comfortable and good pillows too. Room was very clean as was bathroom. Very nice arm chair to relax and watch TV. Breakfast was great with good choices and biscuits with sausage gravy - very few hotels have that - definite plus for a former WV resident that grew used to biscuits with gravy in the morning!! The only negative was very loud neighbors on the floor above us, which is not fault of hotel. Definitely would stay again - just not on first floor.

« Quiet and close to Gateway Airport »

This is a very pleasant hotel. Its not in a real busy area but yet restaurants, shopping, etc. are very close. Being from the country, we appreciated the view out our window of an open field plus the mountains. Since the area does have a rural feel it is also very quiet. The room we stayed in was nice sized, clean, with a microwave and mini-frig. The bed was comfortable. The only negative we have about it is that the air conditioner wasn't working properly. It wasn't bad enough to go to the trouble of changing rooms but it did get a little stuffy. We mentioned it to the front desk when we checked out so hopefully they will make sure it gets fixed or replaced. The free breakfast is good. We plan to stay at this hotel when we are in the area again in January.
