Je m’inscris Great place to stay. Friendly professional staff. Large well configured and warm apartment with a full kitchen. Very close to the town centre and promenade. Went for a swim and hot tub in the morning. Enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we get the chance.
Overpriced and poor breakfast options, Breakfast was poor, only coffee, croissants, diluted orange juice and cereal, all of which ran out of if late down for breakfast and was not replaced!!..had to pay for porridge and crisps, little choice, very disappointing. The rooms are spacious but basic, more like a student let. Position is good for either Blackpool or Lytham, but many other choices. Good pool but a bit cold and steam room not working.
Room 206 First floor block2 2 bed apartment 1 double 1 bunked and sofa bed in lounge. Tvs and fans in every room. Towels.amd toiletries provided. Espa. Free parking onsite or the road outside has no restrictions. Washing machine and dryer . Oven. Kettle toaster etc . Everything you could need for slef catering .Our room was facing the park. Aldi across road open s at 8 am as is the town and beach. No more than 3 minute walk. Chippy across the road cafes and shops. Hairdryer in room . Blackout curtains and blinds. Swimming pool jacuzzi and steam room free to use . Site stated 45 min but we stayed over hour and had it to ourselves. No where to sit in there is only negative I can think of. We put our towels on windowsill. Shower rooms and toilet there. Pool is in block 1 by reception. Receptionist friendly amd knowledgeable. Cheaper to book direct thsn on any site btw
Excellent hotel. Clean, modern and an excellent location close to st Anne's beach. Lovely pool and hot tub area. Free parking. The breakfast was continental with unlimited Starbucks coffee. We visited as a family of 5 and had 3 spacious rooms with a lovely kitchen/lounge and dining area. We hope to return again soon
This ‘hotel' could so easily be perfect with just a little bit of work. Great spot with parking. The apartment was a little unloved and the bathroom would have benefitted from a good clean. The skirting boards and floor into the corners were really grubby. Our main issue was the horrific smell in the entrance hall to block 4, it was absolutely horrific. You needed to hold your breath on the way to the room as the smell was so bad. I did try to address this with reception but I was told ‘we're renovating the hotel starting from the main building' and I don't quite understand what that response has to do with the awful smell. I can't imagine a smell like that can be left for long without environmental health issues!
Couldn't have chosen a more ideal hotel in terms of location and accommodation. Staff were extra welcoming on arrival, we were even able to amend our booking with the lovely Maxine to the next day as the weather was so rubbish the day before! Our room was top quality and the space was remarkable for 2 adults and 2 children. Free parking was a bonus and being a stone throw away from the front and the little town was brilliant. Would really recommend Allegria the little Italian 5 mins walk from the hotel. We will certainly be visiting again next year. Thanks again HY Hotel for a fabulous family mini break.
Good location with parking. Had to go out for other necessary kitchen equipment as not sure what there was. Because of our prearranged sleeping arrangements one had to sleep on mattress on floor as the bunk bed was terribly squeaky metal on metal. The light in one bedroom absolutely abysmal could hardly see. The other bedroom lighting totally wrongly designed, kept banging my head on a dangly light right next to the door and below head height plus switches in wrong place, and, the lighting very dismal could hardly read. The hallway dark and miserable lighting. The grab and go breakfast wasn,t the greatest and not everybodys cup of tea. Some facilities not able to be used. Asked for extra towels and in the end had to go and get them. When asking about some recompense, was just given a card with a www on it.
3rd time we have stayed in the HY, never disappointed, besides no sauna or hot tub, but both were out of order for good reasons, we enjoyed every second. Close to the beach and walking distance to the shops. Pool as usual was lovely, yes a bit cold but once your in you don't notice. Maxine and staff were great as always and the pure spa staff are there to pamper you. Nothing was ever to much when you asked for something. The apartment is always clean and kitchenette is extremely useful.
Excellent location. Close to beach and shops. Parking on site. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were well furnished and comfortable and great for families. Pool was a bit cold so my youngest didn't go in (under 1 year). But the other children loved it. Really clean facilities and spacious changing room. Overall a great hotel and we would definitely book again.
I was surprised by some recent reviews , I do not share the same experience some one even commenting on breakfast smelling delicious? It's a grab and go ? Pastries and boxed cereal Amenities: Sauna - out of order Bar - discontinued Jacuzzi - out of order Hot tub ? Disabled toilet - out of order Pool towels - not available Free Starbucks - 7am till 10 am only Sweet station -discontinued Heating - no Heated pool -no Life guard -no Clean carpets in stair areas - absolutely no Lifts - no Dogs allowed in every area Rooms if lucky to get upper front double fine rest at attic level or back of hotel dark We booked a 2 bedroom with additional bathroom and refused the accommodation as did not want a dark ground floor room at the back of hotel patio doors opening onto outside access ( ideal for dog owners not families with children ) so we had to accept a small apartment front facing nice clean and bright front room but only 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom double bunk beds in 2nd room we were 3 adults 1 child so one of adults had to sleep settee neat kitchen nice bathroom but only suitable for family small children Dogs fouled in corridor ( owners to blame ) poor night staff had to clean We visited many years and so disappointed will not be going back , it feels as though it's cutting all costs. It was depressing seeing so many amenities out of order and discontinued . Way too expensive for what you get in return Not being disrespectful but I think letting dogs in every room of a hotel is unfair and inconsiderate to people who may have allergies and are not happy to share space with animals I realised dog friendly and never had a problem before as allocated rooms for pet owners There didn't seem to be any thought to people with disabilities no help with cases stairs steep no lifts Staff were friendly and tried very hard
Lovely apartment and was really great that the dogs could stay. Very close to the beach. The apartment was nicely decorated, clean and plenty of room. The beds were quite hard for us but the sofa bed was very comfy. Bathroom was lovely. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We didn't try the breakfast but it smelt lovely. The pool was lovely and clean and big enough to have lots of fun. Will be back.
What a lovely hotel! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was huge! The kitchen / living area was lovely with plenty of room & everything you would need if you were to cook something. The two bedrooms were really comfy and the bathroom was lush! We only stayed for 1 night but wish it was longer. There was plenty of parking at the front of the hotel, and it was right across from the park. There was a music festival on this weekend so it was great to go across the road and have a fab time in the sun! Beach and the centre are about. 2 minute walk away! Great location & great stay. My daughter & hubby used the pool while I stayed back with our little puppy. They said the pool was lovely & had a great time! Over all 10/10 stay!
Great location and 5 minute walk from the beach. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which also has a sofa bed, size of apartment was fine for a family of 4. Lovely helpful lady on reception, as others have said pool is very cold! And parking is very limited and can be challenging to park. But overall a brilliant stay and would definitely stay again.
Lovely stay at hy hotel apartment was great just a shame pool was not heated as advertised children were very cold and couldn't stay in the water long also jacuzzi wasout of order everything else was perfect the lady on reception at arrival was very friendly and welcoming
The apartments are in a fantastic central location close to shops and the beach and the free onsite car park is a massive plus. Disappointed the pool wasn't heated as advertised, it was very cold for the younger kids and unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of action during our stay too. Unfortunately our apartment had to be changed last minute so the original one with bunk beds would have been better for the kids but they were very comfortable and nicely furnished. Staff were very helpful and friendly, I'm sure we will return for another visit in the future.
This was our fourth visit due to the location and pool facilities. We booked a two bed apartment but the bedrooms and beds are small. We struggled to fit a travel cot in one bedroom and both beds are pushed up against the walls. The kitchen was lovely and great to have as a facility as Aldi is across the road so very handy. We used the dryer after swimming and it was loud and vibrated so much we switched it off to not disturb the guests below us. The living area is not fit for purpose as this room can hold upto 5/6 adults. There are two chairs to the table, only room to fit 2 adults on the sofa so you can't eat together or sit together at night. We usually love the pool but the hot tub was broken and the temperature of the water was so cold one of my children couldn't get in, this was also noticed by other guests that it was really freezing water. We have been every year for 5 years and it is getting shoddy and scruffier each time- worn carpets, tired looking paint work and scuffs everywhere. The lobby/ reception area is still lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast and coffee is still great too! All in all I'm not sure we will return next year which is a shame.
Our third stay as a family and Hy hotel proved to be as great as ever! Beautiful apartment, fantastic facilities, a wonderful welcome from Lorraine on the front desk....and glorious weather for the whole of our stay! Would highly recommend Elvin's street food Lytham for a really tasty takeaway and warm welcome with a 10% discount for Hy residents.
Firstly the location is brilliant, 5 minute walk to the beach and amusements, across the road is an Aldi to pick up supplies if needed. We were a family of 3 adults and two older children, the room which was given to us wasn't suitable for that many people, sleeping arrangements were fine..double bed. Bunk beds and sofa bed. But during the evening and morning time when we wanted to relax with a coffee and watch tv we struggled, there was a small two seat sofa then the dining table. Which meant 3 of us were sat at the dining table or on the floor, it got very warm and stuffy with it being the attic part of the building. If I booked again I wouldn't want to stay in the same room but other than that everything was fine. We didn't have a mirror on the dressing table either.
Stylish hotel, great facilities, spacious rooms and exceptionally friendly / welcoming staff that genuinely care. The team really make this hotel! The breakfast was simple but adequate. ‘Grab and go' style fresh croissants or cereal boxes to take back to your room or eat in the tables in the reception/dining area. The unlimited Starbucks coffee from the bean to cup machine was a nice touch! Bonus free parking onsite. Great location, very close to the beach and Lytham centre. M&S food was literally 5 minutes away - great for getting sandwiches for a picnic on the beach! Would recommend. The only downsides were minor: Top floor rooms on a hot day get warm but fans are provided. Sofa beds are shorter than standard and pretty hard. Ok for an under 10.
Just back from a lovely stay at Hy Hotel with my two young boys. We came for a two day break to Blackpool but wanted to stay outside, so Lytham was perfect. The room was perfect for what we needed and very clean throughout. Additions such as fans and ironing board etc were very welcome too. Access to the pool was great too and my boys really enjoyed an early morning swim. Staff were very polite and check in and out was a breeze. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this hotel. Free onsite parking was a bonus
Such lovely staff! Room wasn't the worst, it was dirty though. The shower also leaked. Nice pool, however some facilities were closed. Doesn't do breakfast because it has no restaurant on site. I think the main pros to this place, is the staff are so friendly and the area its self is lovely! I would go back
Fantastic, modern clean apartment- 3 double rooms one en-suite, an additional toilet & shower room plus king size sofa bed in lounge , well equipped kitchen, lovely pool area and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly! Brilliant location too - we will hopefully be back for our 4th visit soon !
We had a lovely mini break at Hy Hotel at St Annes. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was lovely too. The kids especially loved the pool, unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working which me & my husband were looking forward too but it didn't ruin our stay.
Travelling with my family (husband, two kids age 16 & 11), this gorgeous place was the perfect combination of apartment and hotel - the space of a 2 bed apartment with the facilities of a stylish hotel. Ideally located close to the beach, the pier attractions, lots of lovely places to eat, the buzz of the town centre, nearby towns and even minutes walk to the train station where Blackpool and Liverpool were easily accessible day trips. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and we loved the ability to have a dip in the pool. We'd definitely recommend to others and hope to visit again!
This hotel, which consists of modern apartments done to a very high spec is perfect for families and couples. Espa toiletries, iron, washing machine, kitchen with appliances, televisions in all rooms, very comfortable beds and air con. We stayed for two nights in this lovely apart/hotel. The first night was rather warm, we were checked in very promptly (this is a must after travelling with two small children). The apartment was immaculate, windows all open to keep cool. A fan already in the apartment and the stunning air con in the bedroom. The decor is gorgeous! We would have happily of stayed in but with so many lovely bars and restaurants in walking distance, we took a small walk for a beautiful meal in a local restaurant La Patio. Lots of shops and a very nice Chinese restaurant (above Tesco) that we ate at on the second evening. The receptionist was extremely helpful. Offering various services and booking taxis for us into Blackpool. We wanted to take the children into Blackpool but have the option to be away from the hustle and bustle. This place is perfect! The swimming pool was also another highlight. 11am checkout allowed us time to use the pool before heading home. All boxes ticked for a family stay in a beautifully designed apartment/ hotel.
This place is such a gem. It far exceeded our expectations. Everything was very modern, luxury toiletries, beautiful decor, everything you need. Staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The grab and go breakfast was quick and easy We've never stayed in a Hy Hotel before, but will definitely be staying again. Would highly recommend.
Wow wow and wow. Incredible experience from start to finish. We got here mega early and were told the room wasn't ready (expected but we didn't mind as we wanted to take the dog to the beach anyway). We got some lunch at one of the lovely nearby restaurants and got a phone call an hour before it was supposed to be ready to let us know we could head back. What a treat!!! We were given room 101 and it was heaven. Gorgeous decor. Immaculately clean and just absolutely STUNNING. This is the best hotel I think we've ever stayed in and it made it super special as it was our anniversary and my dogs birthday. The aircon was a saviour! Super comfortable beds and shower is 10/10. We enjoyed the gym, pool and jacuzzi and the dog felt right at home. Complimentary breakfast and unlimited Starbucks just topped it off!! There's a massive range of local restaurants and bars nearby and it's a stones throw away from the beach. Perfect getaway we didn't want to leave this morning. The staff are absolutely amazing and really went the extra mile for us. Thank you soooo much. I cannot wait to come back and bring my friends xx
We stayed here on a combined leisure stay for Lytham Festival, blended into a business stay for a few days. Warm welcome. Given room 405 which is nice and well appointed with quality spa toiletries and towels. I have read the 1 and 2 star reviews, and whilst they are probably valid at that point in time, I don't think it's the norm. I swam in a clean pool, used the small but effective gym on all days. The breakfast is described as 'Grab and go' and it's exactly that - cereal, coffee and a few pastries. Great if you are not a breakfast person and with it being an Aparthortel, it makes sense, so bring your provisions for meals to please yourselfat your own pace, or get fresh from the supermarket across the road, or cooked from local pubs very near by if you want a full Monty. I had a couple of small issues with the Apartment which were sorted right away. I recommend if you are sound and / or light sensitive, you bring earplugs/ eye patches, but the average person will sleep well in the comfy clean beds. I would recommend HY, and I will be back both professionally and personally to enjoy the freedom of an Aparthortel with lovely facilities.
Very welcoming and helpful front desk. Put our bags in the room early and helped us order a taxi. Room was lovely, really spacious (big lounge and kitchen area), bed was very comfy and high quality bedding. Couldn't fault this place and will definitely return.
We had a fantastic stay at the HY Hotel! The room was amazing, two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. Really lovely decor and big rooms. It was a proper home from home. The location is excellent, we spent the weekend on the beach which was a 5 minute walk and in the evening headed into Lytham. We used the spa on the Sunday which was so relaxing, a nice swim followed by a steam and a jacuzzi. I'll definitely be coming back with my kids at some point.
On arrival we received the warmest of warm welcomes from the reception staff, and this continued throughout our wonderful stay Because we had booked direct with the hotel, we received some very nice perks, including a fabulous room upgrade, a free breakfast, but most of all amazing staff who really made us feel special. All the staff always wore a smile 😃 and were very knowledgeable about the area giving us tips that only the locals would know.Mary and I can't thank them enough for making our stay so special and memorable, we can't wait to tell our family and friends about this fabulous hotel so that they may enjoy as much as we did. Many thanks to all from Mary and Peter ( we will be back soon)
Free parking available Beautifully restored building. Modern apartments clean spacious with large dining lounge area. Have everything you need...hairdryer microwave fridge freezer dishwasher. 3 double bedrooms plus bedsettee. Shampoo conditioner soap body lotions in bathrooms FreeCoffee and pastries each morning. FreeCoffee and tea available all day. Pool great can book private sessions. Staff friendly and helpful. Only thing would of liked extra towels or pool towels.
Summary: 1. Pool closed 2. No hot water 3. Unclean 4. Bad service 1. You may pre-book an hour-long swim slot online. We contacted the hotel via email as no times were available, and they booked for us. The hotel informed us the day before arrival that the pool was closed for maintenance; there was an option to cancel the trip or use a pool at the Inn on the Prom. Cancelling the trip when we were packed and on leave from work, and our daughter was excited, wasn't an option. We specifically booked the accommodation for the pool. We learned from the Inn on the Prom team that the pool was closed due to a sauna fire. The pool was closed when we prebooked the slot (hence no availability), and it was known the facility would be closed during our stay. The hotel had plenty of time to inform us a major service would be unavailable during our stay; they knew we were travelling with young children and the inconvenience of using a facility elsewhere with an infant and toddler in winter. 2. There wasn't enough hot water to wash up. The shower was cold. Maintenance arrived and complained about the hotel's approach of using small, insufficient boilers for each room. It took two maintenance call outs and a complaint before we received a key to shower next door. Another inconvenience when travelling with a child and infant. 3. Needed to clean the kitchen equipment before use, without the hot water this meant boiling a kettle to clean. Bathroom unclean below adult eye-level, the hotel knew we were travelling with a toddler and infant. 4. Cover-ups and lies, regular trips to reception without a single apology or follow-up, manager claiming she had only been there a week and handing out her personal email address for post-stay complaints and resolutions that were only answered when we informed them we would contact Booking.com to facilitate the complaint for us.
I had a great experience here, loved the accommodation and the staff were so helpful. Looking forward to coming back. We are a family of 4 with a dog, clean comfortable apartment and a comfortable nights sleep, we also made lots of use of the pool. Great parking and location.
We stayed here on a mini break. It's got a good car park which is the main reason I chose it. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, supermarket across the road, spacious well equipped apartment and facilities, staff very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.
Perfect apart hotel with everything you could need for a couple of days or a couple of months. The staff were wonderful and the location was perfect. Ample parking even when the hotel was full. The pool, gym and unlimited starbucks make it even better!
Reading some of the negative reviews in regards to the staff we found this quite the opposite, everyone through the whole booking process and whilst we were there were all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were of an excellent standard, very clean and spacious. The spa was a little disappointing, the jacuzzi wasn't working and only the steam room was available to go in with not much steam however the treatments we had as part of our package were excellent, the staff were all very professional, such a lovely treat. Breakfast wasn't that great with only croissants on offer & the orange on offer was very watery although the unlimited coffees was a positive. Overall we had a lovely time and would possibly return. Can highly recommend the Italian Allegria round the corner from the hotel!
We previously stayed here as a family when the hotel first opened and loved it. Sadly, the hotel has declined in several areas. 1. the carpet on the stairs is filthy and worn (carpet was possibly a bad idea...) 2. the receptionist (though nice enough) was sat there looking on her phone rather than sweeping up the food left on the floor from breakfast. 3. when I explained that we'd taken our towels down from the apartment and left them at the pool, and needed new ones, it seemed to go in one ear and out the other as she was still messing on her phone several minutes later even though I was stood there waiting for them. 4. the wet area, although nicely designed, was in a state by 7pm - I was told that it gets cleaned at 2pm and 10pm which is clearly inadequate. There were mountains of used towels at the side of the pool and in the changing areas and, I kid you not, what looked to both my wife and I like a used tampon that had come out of someone, left on the side of the pool when we went in, and for the hour we were there. 5. I had to pull the card out of the slot in order to stop the loud buzz coming from the fuse box in the apartment that was keeping us awake, meaning we couldnt switch the lights on to go to the loo during the night 6. the reception stunk of sick the following morning - my wife suggested it was milk that had gone off in the coffee machine but even if that was the case, not good. 7. (albeit a minor point) they should have thought to instal at least 1 usb wall socket somewhere in each apartment. Perhaps all this is why the link they emailed me to rate our stay, doesn't work.
The apartment we staying in was lovely. Compact but not small. Perfectly big enough for family of 4. Its was clean and inviting the whole building was. The staff at check in were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and considering they are young, very knowledgeable and considerate. The pool again was clean and well maintained. My only disappointment was breakfast. As breakfast is included I would have liked more selection. There was croissants and cereal but limited choice of each. Not really much for children so I don't think it should state ‘breakfast' included.
Me and the wife wanted a nice night away, child free, we got everything we wanted from this hotel. We phoned a day prior to arrival to see if we could check in early and was told that the hotel would try their best, so upon arrival, we got the early checkin. First impressions is it's a very nice-looking hotel/spa, greeted by friendly reception, checked in, and given all the info we needed for a great stay. The apartment was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for anything more, clean, comfortable, and spacious, and everything you need from one night stay to a very long stay. The pool area was clean and very relaxing, and it was a nice jacuzzi and steam room. We had the whole place to ourselves so it was perfect. You can go in as many times as you want along as it isn't full. Unlimited Starbucks machine in the reception area was a great touch, so everytime we went past we would help ourselves. Breakfast was pastries abd juice, sometimes nice just to have a light breakfast. Location was perfect, one minute walk to the centre and two minutes to the beach. Aldi 100m away. Free parking. Perfect stay in every aspect. Will definitely be back...with the daughter next.
The rooms at Hy are similar to small apartments with mini fridge, cooker and washer and dryer. Very comfortable and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is very convenient. Location is great as Hy is immediately next to the high street and food stores.
We had a brilliant stay. We usually stay around the corner but thought a change of scenery might be nice and we're glad we did! We were checked in, albeit quite late by a girl with tattoos who pointed us in the direction of somewhere to eat dinner as well as having a couple of laughs with us. The food recommendation did not disappoint, anyone staying in the area definitely needs to check out Fifty Four!!!! We enjoyed the pool however were sad there wasn't a sauna :(
We always have a great stay at Hy. The only thing that is disappointing is the breakfast, but there's lots of place close by to go to for a good breakfast so it's not a big deal. All staff are lovely and it's nice to see some of the same staff are here that were here the previous year! We'll always look forward to coming back.
Hotel and rooms extremely clean, friendly and welcoming staff , great service and location is brilliant too , complimentary starbucks through out the stay too which is brilliant and the pool is amazing with a jacuzzi and steam room included with a gym too!
As a family and as a couple we have stayed in these apartments at least twice a year for the past several years , location and apartments are fantastic ,we have always found staff helpful and pleasant and the general manager Maxine has always outshined when we have had any queries or issues , but this weekend,Saturday and Sunday we met the rudest staff on reception, particularly a girl named Amy (Ithink was her name) ,getting coffee and croissants on Saturday morning with my 5 year old granddaughter, she thought it fine to swear! ,when I said excuse me nodding towards my granddaughter, she said “WHAT!”,later on in the morning, the male cleaner who was very nice and I've seen on previous visits , asked her a question, and she was so arrogant and rude with her reply it was appalling! , then on the Sunday morning, the same girl made rude comments about a family who had just left the reception with their breakfast as me and grandson were getting croissants, whilst half the family packed the cars etc , the rest took the children swimming ,(pre booked slot) , my son entered the pool 15minutes after the rest of my family ,my daughter in law was sat in reception with a coffee and the same girl thought it was fine to make derogatory comments about him! Such a shame about receptionist ruined our family weekend, debating if we will be visiting again
We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with my family, there was plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. comfy beds and the kids loved the bunk beds. Very clean and the mattress was Super Comfy!!!The Staff were amazing from start to Finnish, the pool facilities were lovely and we even got a break in the jacuzzi. Lovely fresh croissants with unlimited Starbucks great touch, we will be coming again
Amazing place to stay with classic charming features and modern comfort. The stay was perfect and everything we expected and more. There were beauty treatments availability with an onsite PURE Spa & Beauty which we indulged in and was a superb way to unwind after a busy day. Thank you to all the amazing staff who made our stay ❤
We had such high hopes for our stay at Hy and in some respects it delivered and in others it was a huge disappointment. The good The pool and Hot tub were amazing. The room for a family was better than most & the kitchen was a bonus. We really appreciated the free coffees from the Starbucks machine. The Bad For the amount we paid for the hotel and breakfast, it was extremely poor value. Breakfast was a pastry and some old apples, you had to pay extra for cereal; I have never known anything like that and I have stayed all over the world from 5 star hotels to hostels. We had to make our own beds and we given the sheets, which was terrible. Finally, the Steam room and sauna were switched off, which again was massively disappointing. In short, don't stay here unless it's under £85, otherwise you are going to feel ripped off.
Good value for money but not used to no bar or restaurant. All the staff were very helpful but this hotel is best for families with children and those on a budget.Good location and you get what you pay for. Probably next time we visit the area we will go back to the Grand.
Booked a short break down to Blackpool and was unsure of where to stay. After endless searching i stumbled upon the Hy hotel Lytham. Situated 10 minutes away from Blackpool pier. This perfect getaway got a whole lot better when i arrived at the Hotel. Upon arriving at the reception we were greeted with a warm welcome and knew we would be well looked after. Before arriving I had an issue regarding the use of the facilities within the premises but when mentioned to the man at the desk he seemed shocked that we were told we could not use them. He reassured us and booked a slot for an evening pool session with a lovely jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and private changing room later the very same evening. Shortly after we were given our key cards and shown to our apartment. WOW! We couldnt believe how great the accomodation was, everything you would need and more. Beautiful huge lounge area with a kitchen, a dining table and a sofa (turned out to be a big comfy bed). The bathroom was just so clean and the shower was amazing. The bedroom had the comfiest bed and was very cosy. Overall this hotel made our getaway a fantastic experience and i will definately be coming back. Lastly i would like to acknowledge the fact of how great the guy working that night was. I never got his name but he made the stay perfect. Joyous, helpful, welcoming and really above and beyond for all the guests. Cant forget the unlimited Starbucks Coffee. What more could you possibly ask for. All for a great price.
We had a fantastic short stay at the Hy Hotel, staff and facilities excellent. All very accommodating and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Pool and Spa well worth a visit, we will definitely be returning. Very good location for all local amenities.T hanks to Maxine for the pre-stay comms and the warm welcome on arrival, see you soon!!!
Excellent value for money, lovely, clean well equipped apartment style rooms. Gem of a swimming pool with sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi ideal after a days walking, well equipped gym. Hotel is just a minute from the centre of St Anne's overlooking the park. Staff have been exceptional really helpful and very friendly. Great stay easy 5 stars
Had a fantastic two day stay . Apartment was modern . Clean. Well stocked kitchen equipment. Even a washer! Super comfortable bed and soft pillows. We used the pool and sauna every day . You have to book your slot but only a few people are allowed in for your 40 min slot which made it very relaxing. Staff were very nice and made us feel very welcome . Very accommodating and showed us where to get our continental breakfast and where the pool and gym were located. Nothing was too much trouble . Located close to town centre and short bus journey on the bus to Blackpool. Would recommend the hotel for family's and couples.
I am so highly disappointed in how this has gone down hill so quickly. We have stayed before and it was great. This time it was literally worlds apart from that…. Our room stunk of sewerage, literally stunk to the point I bought room freshener. The reason we didn't complain because I knew the hotel was fully booked (we had the last double/bunk) and we couldn't have been moved anywhere else, plus the fact we drove 7 hours to get there and wanted to sleep. The room was FREEZING cold, heating wasn't on for our entire stay despite being under 5-6 degrees outside. I walked round the room with a duvet over me (literally). There was no milk, which is minor but used to be a thing they did. There was only enough toiletries for one person, let alone 3 people, which is again a minor, but disappointing. The receptionist in the evenings was so lovely and welcoming, but the one in the day time told my partner and 8 year old son she'd booked them in for the hour swim at 8pm. 8pm arrived and my son was super excited, only to be told that the pool closes at 8 and he wasn't booked in. Luckily the evening receptionist let us have a quick swim, but again very disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone anymore. We've stayed 3 times, the first 2 were super and this one was beyond disappointing. I won't be staying again and I'm gutted it's gone downhill so much.
Had a fantastic time for a spa break with four friends. From start to finish it was excellent easy and pleasant check in by the hotel staff . An amazing spa experience from Brenda and staff . Apartment lovely and clean with everything you need. Will definitely be back for another girls weekend.
I always stay here when I come for business in Blackpool. Great apartments with comfortable and clean rooms and good kitchen facilities. Also, a swimming pool and sauna are available for guests. The prices per apartment room are very reasonable. Good location in Lytham St Annes nearby shops and restaurants.
Simple check in experience, friendly staff and the apartment was really clean and modern with all the facilities you need for a perfect stay, dog friendly too which was ideal for me and my Mom. The hotel has a spa which unfortunately I didn't get to use as it was either over crowded or they had no changing rooms, highly recommend pre book your slot which they do say to do before you arrive. Breakfast a bit too basic, it's a shame there is no hot food or something you can take back to ‘ping' in your microwave, unfortunately there was no gluten free option or dairy free options in the Starbucks coffee machine, but for those ok with croissants and machine coffee the Starbucks is available all day for free which is fab.
Great hotel just off the front. Easy to find and has a car park. Nice swimming pool and sauna/steam room/jacuzzi. Comfy rooms with the mod cons. Friendly staff, a Starbucks coffee machine on free vend. Great grab and go breakfast. I will certainty be returning.
Lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic location near the centre. The rooms are more like self contained apartments with all amenities. There is a fridge freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher in fact everything you need for a perfect stay.
Exceeded expectations, the children loved it, a shame we only stayed one night so didn't get chance to use the kitchen living area. Pool was out of this world at 7am, such a relaxing space. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK!! Thank you for having us.
This is a nice hotel, with free parking a short walk from the beach and the town. Beds are comfy and the fridge/freezer is a welcome addition. The sofabed in the living room is uncomfortable to sit on unfortunately. The free Starbucks is a nice touch!
I don't normally leave reviews but this hotel so deserves it!!!! Amazing from start to finish. Maxine on reception, so lovely and helpful. Apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Pool, sauna etc absolutely brilliant. Lovely and clean and really relaxing. Nice changing rooms. Grab and go breakfast fab idea. Even Starbucks coffee and juices included. Overall couldn't fault a single thing. Will definitely stay again and soon I hope.
This place is fabulous, it's classy , love the decor , contemporary and classy , good size rooms . Pool , jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are great .In a good place close to amenities and nice restaurants, our second stay but will definitely visit again well recommended .Staff very friendly and always happy to help
We went for a relaxing get away and we where not disappointed! The apartment had everything we needed including washer and iron. Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds The facilities in the hotel where better then expected. Only downside was the breakfast, unfortunately the chocie of a pastry was not really what we wanted but other than this i would highly recommend the hotel to anyone!!
Great for family and friends also very dog friendly and most places around the hotel. Very central to town and beach loads of great places for food and drink.staff very friendly and girl on front desk very helpful.swimming pool lovely and free tea coffee etc nice touch.
This was a respite break for me on a solo trip and I already wish I was back! The apartment had everything you need and was so clean, homely and comfortable. It was also very central, so close to the pier and high street, train station and bus stops going into Blackpool. A special thank you to Maxine at the front desk who was more than accommodating, kind and super thoughtful (got me a sewing kit!). I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning.
Amazing find! Really enjoyed it and thought it was great value for money! We used the pool area spa for the one hour allocated private time slot for just us which was brilliant! We also used the pure spa facilities which were also great! Free parking and unexpected free coffee from a Starbucks machine and delicious pastries! The staff were excellent and knowledgable and gave us great recommendations which really enhanced our trip, Maxine in particular was great! The rooms were lovely clean and the beds super comfy! I have said 5 stars as it really was however I felt the pool area steam room etc were a bit lacking in the cleanliness department. The floors and in particular steam room needed a right good clean, but that really is my only gripe! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!
bed was so comfy , the room was spotless and so well equipped, i have stayed at many hotels in st annes , this tops them all, will definitely booking again , lovely place and so central for everything, we will be back without a doubt.
Staff helpful with booking. Spacious apartment. Clean and well equipped. Well situated. There for 3 night break, surprised that for a hotel, no change of towels or bin emptying in that time. Would have preferred a king sized bed in main bedroom. Apartment very warm at night, no air conditioning. Enjoyed stay generally though. .
Lovely apartment in a great location. Everything you need , fully equipped kitchen , cosy 3 tvs washer_ dryer, microwave , toaster and kettle .5 minutes walk to shops bars, restaurants and beach.
The photos on the website look fantastic, the room we ended up with was awful. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment expecting it to quite posh. What we actually got was a cramped, overlooked bedsit! We booked it for the pool and spa, when we got there the receptionist said you had to prebook slots and the only one she had was 9pm. As we had been travelling all day we just thought we would relax instead. We couldn't lay on our bed as it overlooked straight into the window of the apartment next door. Really close. Even the lounge window looked onto someone else's bedroom. The apartment was clean enough but so small, it was awful. We had 2 steep flights of stairs to reach the room and the landing was really dark. Trying to haul a couple of cases up them was not easy.
My wife and I booked this trip to Hy Hotel so we could take our dog Molly. Helen on reception arranged flowers, prosecco and chocolates for our arrival. This hotel has a a swimming pool a gym and you can also get a massage not forgetting the sauna steam room and jacuzzi. Anna one of the other receptionist was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful apartment lovely bathroom and bedroom. This hotel is in an ideal position for Ashton Park which is just across the road our dog loved it,and the beach just being 5 minutes walk if that, must'nt forget the free parking at Hy Hotel. We will definitely stay there again.
Beautiful hotel, staff was really friendly day and accommodating, pool and spa was fantastic. St annes was a lovely place to stay, there was a carnival with live music across the street and a short bus ride from Blackpool centre.
Stayed in the apartment at the hotel any problems was solved very quickly staff were very nice but did seem lack of staff did not seem a lot around but maybe hiding in the wood work the apartment was clean and everything was very easy we had a very lovely stay and hope to come back again in the future highly recommend we had a very enjoyable stay swimming pool was great and hot tub was a bonus which can be booked easily via hotel but advise pre booking especially in school hoilday.
Honestly the highlight of this hotel was Gill who managed it. She was the most accommodating lovely hotel manager I have met in many years. The rooms are nice as is the location. The reception staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool is very nice. The location is great and we had a lovely view of the sea.
Absolutely fabulous stay on 01/09/23. Staff were brilliant and on hand. The room was clean and tidy. Fantastic location to the beach. No complaints, would and will stay here again! You can also take dogs which is a fantastic touch.
We stayed in room 408, the shower room was very mouldy and unhygenic. The swimming pool was not clean, Jacuzzi was stinking, carpets in the room were dirty and kids room was stinking like farts or poop not sure what it is. I was informed the manger would call me yesterday but no calls received.
Having read some negative reviews we were worried that we have made a big mistake. We hadn't, the apartment was clean and in a great spot, just opposite the park and a short walk to the beach, there is an Aldi just over the road. We stayed with our 14 year old daughter who sleep fine on the double sofa bed. They only provided towels for two people, when my husband went to reception to ask there was no one there so he helped himself to pool towel. The grab and go breakfast was fine, fresh croissants, fruit and coffee, although there was long queue for coffee. We only stayed for two nights, so can't comment on the maid service. We would recommend for a short stay especially when there is an event in the park, as you can nip back and use your own bathroom. We didn't use the pool or spa, too busy having fun a the music festival and having to book is a pain. So would recommend for a short break.
An excellent and very friendly, well designed hotel and apartments in lovely Lytham St Anne's; a stone's throw from the estuarine beach and the bustling high street with on-site parking and on street free parking too. Rooms were spacious and with an up to date contemporary design - and staff were caring, friendly and unfailingly helpful. A high time in any hotel!
Great hotel. And the staff are lovely! Our room (411) was very spacious but we were on the top floor and getting our heavy case up all of those stairs without a lift was hard. And an inconvenience. We considered using the oven during our stay as there's an Aldi across the road but there's no tea towel or oven gloves provided. Would have liked more of a choice for breakfast, I don't eat croissants and there were long queues for the slow coffee machine. They need another coffee machine on site. We booked the pool which was great but the water is very murky and in need of a change. Or their filtration system needs looking at. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, the beds & pillows were really comfy, we had plenty of towels too. I would definitely recommed it.
Avoid avoid avoid Quite possibly the worst customer service of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms filthy and despite a 15:00 check in time not available and left to just sit there. Stayed here before and enjoyed it but will never ever return. Don't know what's happened but wow it's gone downhill
A fantastic hotel at great value. On a busy road but with little to no noise. The room, living areas and kitchen were spotless. Staff were helpful and polite. We will be back for lots more visits . Thank you and well done
Everything was perfect. Lovely big rooms, full of all the essentials needed. was lovely looking out at the park opposite the Hotel, and the beach was within walking distance too. PERFECT couple of days away, I couldn't of asked for more. :)
Hotel is decorated beautifully, everything is very fresh and clean. Room was amazing and a very good size, staff were lovely, and the pool was brilliant. Very close to the town centre and an aldi just across the road.
As a returning customer to the Hy Hotel in St Anne's, and most definitely not the last. This is always the first port of call when looking for accomodation in the stunning area of Lytham St Anne's. The staff are always on hand to assist and nothing is of any trouble. The facilities and decor are very chic and the added bonus of the on site pool & spa make this hotel the best in the area for families and couples alike. All rooms have there own fully fitted kitchen and living area. Shops, park and stunning beach are all on your doorstep. Once again though the staff at the Hy are very accommodating and wee cannot wait to return again soon.
We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 kids and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious and modern. It did get warm in the apartment so having the air conditioning units was great. The hotel reception was beautiful and they have a small selection of snacks and drinks available to buy, as well as ice cream. The Starbucks coffee was free, so was nice to pick one up and we came in or out. The pool was great and had plenty of changing space for our family. Make sure you book a slot in advance. The location is great for the promenade, beach and shopping square where there are lots of nice little cafes and places to eat during the day. The staff were welcoming and we felt really relaxed and at home here, would recommend!
We were a family of 3 staying in room 403 of the hy hotel from 06th to 09th August. To start with i am not one for writing reviews but in this instance i thought i should let you know of our really poor experience. We spent approx £460 for 3 nights accomodation. We have a 16 month old baby. Usually some of the below negative items wouldnt bother us but as we had a baby with us cleanliness and safety was our main concern. Negatives (in no particular order) : - Uncomfy pillows - Food lying in oven - Damp marks over walls throughout - Rugs not hovered or cleaned - Dirty marks all over walls throught. - Walls througout in need of a lick of paint. - Terrace door broke and bangs throught the night. - Maintenance staff using the terrace on a daily basis. No privacy without closing the blinds which you dont want to be doing on a sunny day. - Dust all over wall mirrors, skirtings and furniture throughout. - Dirty Appilances with leftover food in them. - Cobwebs on celing lights. - Fan has food stuck in it and locking nut missing making it unsafe when turned on. - All doors scuffed and dirty - Timber floors sticky and dirty throughout - Wifi poor. - Dirty curlery, plates and cups on arrival. - The toilet comes away from wall whilst sitting on it and was not cleaned. - Toliet flush was really slow. - Shower went cold after 1 min of using. Luke warm water at best. - Shower tray full of mold and not cleaned properly. - Sofa bed in living room was extremely hard and uncomfy. Not suitable for sleeping or sitting on. - Bed side tables dirty. - Entrance to room cluttered with baby mattresses, hoover and linnen trolley. Positives: Comfy bed and clean linnen Large flat screen tv's Great location We decided to look at some of the other reviews for this room and most of what we have said above is common and consistent with other guests. If you have a young family stay well clear.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hy Hotel, which exceeded expectations. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and decorated to a high standard with 2 ensuite bathrooms. We were able to swim in the pool every day which also has a jacuzzi and Sauna. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again. Really good location for St Annes beach too.
Visited for a 2 night break with family. Apartments are in blocks and we had one in block 4. It had 2 bedrooms and a good sized living area so was perfect for us. We were on the top floor so the stairs would be an issue for people with mobility problems. There wasn't any lift in our block either. Location is great as only a couple of minutes walk into town. Made use of the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which were really good. You have to book a slot for the pool which is good as it doesn't get overcrowded (we had it all to ourselves on the first occasion!) Would recommend
Never staying here again - this self styled 5 star hotel is anything but. More like a 2 star - I'll start with the positives of which there were a couple. Reception area is beautiful. Towels provided Free parking Free Starbucks. Comfy bed. Now for the rest. Booked a 2 bed self catering apartment - ours was on the top floor of building 3 - the hotel is basically 4 converted townhouse buildings - beautiful on the outside. Room 312 - up 4 flights of stairs, no lifts - if you have a buggy small kids or lots of luggage it's a struggle. The carpets in the hallways / stairs are disgusting. Stained old and just awful. The apartment. Small kitchen sitting area cupboard doors are broken and hanging off. Tea and coffee technically supplied but only 2 packs of Nescafé and no milk. Dirty glasses in the cupboard. Sofa is rock hard - we spent the evening in bed because the sofa was unusable. Sticky floor, as yet undiscovered species of bacteria under the sofa (I moved it to use the mirror to put makeup on as the lounge is the only decent light source - everything else is dim - probably to hide the dirt. Dust everywhere. Main Bedroom - broken blind that couldn't be raised, filthy floor and no wardrobe - just a stand thing - not a 5 star experience. Air conditioning in the main area but not in the bedroom so it was ridiculously hot at night. There is no mention that you have to book the pool - and it's limited capacity. Will be requesting a partial refund from booking.com as this is not a nice place to stay.
Our family, 4 adults and 1 child stayed at the Hy Hotel in Lytham Saint Anne's from the 22-23 July '23 and booked 2 apartments, we received numbers 403 & 404. My son, his wife and child took room 404 as it was bigger in size, it was very clean , tidy with a lovely sofa and other furniture, well presented by the hotel. My wife and I stayed in 403 which in contrast had a few problems that we mentioned to the receptionist on leaving the hotel the following day. No 403, is located at the rear of the building down a corridor past 404. During our 1 night stopover we found the following points unacceptable for a hotel that considers itself of 4/5 star quality. The apartment was dusty and overall appeared un prepared with dirt on both the bedside tables, bedside light fittings and the sorry excuse for a fan which was thick with dust on the blade and the safety cage. The floors and faded old carpet needed hoovering. The securing nut for the fan blade was also missing making it unsafe to use. The toilet mirror was also thick with dust and when you sat on the toilet seat the cistern came away from the wall until such time as you removed yourself from it, the toilet roll holder bar was also missing. There were brown stains on the quilt cover and pillow, with one of the pillows being old and not fit for purpose. The settee was old, dirty and when you sat on it you could feel the support structure underneath it, neither comfortable or practical to use. We ending up sitting on the 2 kitchen chairs. There were also damp brown patches on the wall, behind the curtains of the patio door with no provision for a curtain on the main window next to the dining area. There were plates , cutlery and other items for cooking with an electrical hob but only one pot. How you would cook a meal in a 4/5 star "self catering " apartment with only one pot is beyond comprehension. However it wasn't all bad as the gym, swimming pool and breakfast provisions were rather nice. Hopefully the management will sort apartment 403 and bring it up to the standard that people expect, especially when you pay for the service.
Easy access to Blackpool, direct buses outside. Plenty of car parking. Use of lounge with complimentary Starbucks during stay. Apartment stylishly decorated with room for our family of 5 and dog. Clean and well catered for including iron and washing machine. Staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful park opposite (Ashton Gardens) for strolling and walking the dog). Continental grab and go breakfast basic but pastries very nice. (Aldi two minutes across road for any basic groceries to keep in a good sized undercoated fridge). Very happy indeed.
We had a family weekend away, the apartment had plenty of space very clean. Had everything you needed. The staff very helpful. The swimming pool was great as they didn't allow too many people in it. Overall it was excellent
I can't recommend this hotel high enough ! Great apartment had everything we needed ! The pool was great It's a great location walking distance to main town . All the staff are very friendly and helpful ! Especially Jill the owner and Dan the Plummer !! Booking to stay again later in the year !
We first stayed here when it was a hotel (before the refurb and conversion to the new style apartments) and it was good then.. It is even better now - What a great concept and transformation. The apartment was amazing, spacious and really well kitted out (including oven, microwave, grill and induction hob (which meant I didn't have to drag the three kids out for a bite to eat). They have a Starbucks coffee machine which is free to use as often as you like (which is a nice touch). Bedtime was easy enough with the large double and a pull out sofa bed :-) The pool is and everywhere looks clean and fresh - oh and they do allow dogs in some of the rooms. We will be back for sure.
Stayed here for 3 nights, grandparents, daughter and grandson, Perfect location, central to all amenities. Apartment was fantastic and very spacious and clean. Lovely well equiped kitchen, washer, dishwadher, 2 double bedrooms, tv's in both and sofa bed in room, 2 bathrooms. Beautiful decor throughout. Best nights sleep in a very long time the beds were so comfy. The pool facilities were second to none, no over crowding in the pool, changing rooms were hugh for families with 3 large seperate shower cubicles in both. Plenty of car parking spaces. Had a superb stay and look forward to staying again.
We stayed for one night at the HY hotel, when we arrived we was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff members who then amazingly upgraded our room which was a pleasant surprise. The room was beautiful with enough space for both myself and my partner and my father in law and our small dog The Starbucks coffee on tap was also a lovely addition along with the beautiful warm pastries in the morning. The Swimming pool hot tub and steam room was also very relaxing which both myself & my partner both really enjoyed. We will most definitely be staying again soon and I fully recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay within this area. Beaches are clean close by & with local amenities on the door step and a short buss ride to both Lytham & Blackpool prom.
Recently returned from a 2 night stay at the Hy Hotel with 2 young children. We've been to Lytham plenty times but this was our first stay here. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in a fab location, close to shops, cafes, arcades, beach. Plenty parking spaces. Apartments also decorated nicely, but lacking in some basic things such as sponge for washing up, tea towel, spatula for cooking, trays in oven, kitchen roll etc. WiFi also very hit and miss. Wouldn't work in the living area which impacted the TV. Sofa bed had a few dirty marks on. The pool was a great addition, my children enjoyed it. Even more so as we got the pool to ourselves. Only downside was the changing room floor being quite dirty and smelt a bit like stagnant water. Free starbucks machine was great. Staff very friendly and chatty. We were on the top floor (4 flights of stairs) so would probably ask for a ground floor room next time as my Mum struggled with the stairs. Window catch in the childrens room was broken which isnt ideal. Also lack of hanging space so if you were staying 1 week it wouldn't be great. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.
Stayed 2 nights 30th and 31st December. Got to say that we had an amazing trip. The apartment was modern, clean and welcoming. I took my little dog which was great as it is only a stones throw from the beach and we had some lovely walks with the dog on the beautiful beach. I took 3 teenagers and they didn't want to come, so it was nice to be able to leave them not far away, in a nice, fully equipped apartment whilst we were away. The pool was amazing and we used all of the facilities: pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. The only issue we had, is that there aren't male and famale changing rooms and this would have been better in my opinion. We got enough time in there and it was never crowded. The staff were lovely. The receptionist was really kind and friendly and the cleaning lady was so nice and let us look in another apartment that we might book in the future with a larger family group. If we needed anything replenishing, she was more than happy to give us more items. The night porter was really kind to my young lad when he went down thirsty at night and he gave him some juice to drink. The breakfast was basic but it doesn't cost that much and was adequate for what we had paid for it. The Starbucks drinks and sweet stall were great. We really made use of it! I had looked at Trip Advisor before I went and was a little concerned as there had been a couple of bad reviews. I need not have worried as in my opinion, and for what I wanted, everything was perfect. The location is great with a dog friendly pub about 2 minutes walk away, an Aldi and M&S food right opposite and some nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back as it was so nice. Thanks
After paying £214.00 for 1 night away for 2 adults & 1 child (apartment 206) very unsatisfied customer Felt very over priced, we paid extra for breakfast, did we get breakfast NO (images of the poorly grab & go) as now i have seen online! But assumed would a normal usual breakfast hotels run. Not a tiny space at the corner of the reception Croissants & Oranges ONLY & a free starbucks machine that for 2 days was out of order & not working so No starbucks & the room smelt foisty
On arrival this hotel seems very nice. Reception area is nicely decorated, and there were free sweets and drinks. Check-in was fine. Our room was in a separate building across the car park and up several flights of stairs. The apartment itself was clean enough. The main kitchen/living area was very small, there was a 2 seater sofa and a table under the television, so 4 people couldn't have relaxed in there. Breakfast was a pick and mix of pastries, bananas, apples and oranges. As it was in reception it meant a traipse downstairs, across the car park and back! We were told we could book a session in the pool, and the receptionist said we would be the only people using it. When we arrived there were two families already using it, so the receptionist told us to wait while she went down and told them to leave. One family did, but the other one stayed (which was all a bit embarrassing) and certainly not relaxing. I assume the pool is shared with the spa - so don't bet on getting a slot. The rooms were also excessively hot. When I got up in the middle of the night the heating was still full on. There were fans and air conditioning machines in the rooms, so presumably they get very hot in summer too.
This was booked as a 40th birthday celebration for my daughter for 5 of us. On arrival we were greeted by a receptionist with a very bad attitude who told us that you needed to book a changing room and there were none available and they also don't supply robes so after using the pool / spa area you have to walk back through the car park in wet swimwear when it's freezing outside she also told me that other guests don't mind doing this !! in addition to this someone removed my daughter and friends towels so they had no way of even drying off a little before the car park run back to their room. We went in to use the toilet after swimming and the receptionist came charging in and shouted at us to get out as other guests had been waiting 20 minutes to use the changing room and we had literally just walked in we also heard the lady in charge of the spa blame us to other guests for staying in the changing rooms and making them late when it was nothing to do with us. One of our rooms had a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge area but the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom so whoever has the bedroom is disturbed if you need the loo in the night, the sofa bed in the lounge was dirty and also like trying to sleep on a brick with a lump in it I am only 5ft tall and it was too small for even me so I virtually had no sleep in addition to this the room had a strange smell and we kept smelling cigarette smoke. Trying to complain to the receptionist was useless as she just argued back and we were told no management were on site. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A SPA WITH SUCH RUDE STAFF WITHOUT PROPER CHANGING FACILITIES FOR ALL GUESTS AND WILL NOT BE RETURNING
Perfect for a girlie or group getaway. We have just returned from a night in this fab hotel/apartments. We arrived and couldn't believe how big, clean and spacious the apartment was 4 happy girls . It was the perfect place for us to enjoy our night We could have stayed longer The complementary Starbucks is an amazing idea. We enjoyed our pool slot . The grab & go breakfast was delicious. We felt so at home enough to go down in our pjs to get coffee & take it back to our rooms. A well deserved 5* from is We will definitely be back .
Without doubt the worst service I have ever experienced. The main issue wasn't the fact that we had paid £250 to stay in the 'hotel' for one night and that we were allocated a completely different room to the one that we had booked, or that the room that we were allocated was at the top of 3 steep flights of stairs when we had specified we were travelling with two small children. The issue was that when we approached Amy, on the front desk, to query the fact that we hadn't been checked in to the room we booked, we were confronted with the most rude, obnoxious, cocky service either of us have ever received, anywhere. We were told that there was no mistake with our room, that Booking.com hadn't updated their website for months and that there was nothing she could do. We were not offered any solution or even an apology. It was very much a 'I couldn't care less' attitude. We were made to feel completely unwelcome and had we not promised our children a swim in the pool, we would have checked out and found somewhere else to stay for the night. A birthday weekend completely ruined by an employee with absolutely no manners or decency. Hospitality? Amy wouldn't know hospitality if it bit her on the end of her nose. Absolutely do not book to stay here.
Wow, this is a fabulous hotel, well, when I say hotel, the room is an actual apartment. We stayed in room 202 on the ground floor, it was a 2 bedroom apartment, absolutely huge in size. 1 shared bathroom, double beds in both rooms. There was also a sofa bed in the living room part/open plan kitchen. Very modern, albeit the sofa had some stains on and wasn't comfortable to sit on. Kitchen area was fabulous, so was the large shower. Tvs on both bedrooms and living area. We could have used the pool, but I forgot my costime, so didn't use the fabulous facilities. The location is great, near to the main high street in St Anne's. The only small complaint was that there wasn't any mirrors in the bedroom to do hair. There was 1 mirror in bathroom and 1 mirror in the hallway, but they wasn't near an electric socket. The living area could also do woth a lamp, as there is only 1 light switch that switches on all the lights, which 1. Is far too bright. 2. Wasted energy. Overall though, it was amazing
We are regular visitors to 5 star hotels and this hotel is definitely not a 5 star, we paid £157.00 per night for a one bed room with breakfast. On checking in the young lady sat with her feet up on her desk with a full neck Tattoo was not what you would expect from a 5 star welcome. Our room was up 5 flights of stairs with no lift available all the common landing areas have dirty stained carpets and an open door that any one can just walk in from the street, security is non existent. Breakfast was minimal and not what you would expect when paying what we did with no sit down area designated for breakfast or a hot food offering. Our bathroom stank of sewage so we had to sleep with the bedroom window wide open, when i informed the young lady on reception of the problem , she replied, Oh yea i slept here last night and my room smelled also!! I would never stay at this hotel again and definitely not recommend it
A excellent experience at this hotel, location, staff, amenities all first rate! Only complaint, bed pillows very poor! Otherwise, grab and go breakfast much better than expected! Located just near a bus stop to get into Blackpool with your car!
This hotel was absolutely fantastic for us and had everything we could of asked for and more! This was our second stay here. On your arrival there are plenty of parking spaces I managed to park right outside our room which was great as we had a lot of bags as we like to take our own food with us and make full use of the kitchen in the apartment. There is also a bus that stops right outside which takes you straight to blackpool which was great for the illuminations. You are greeted by friendly and helpful staff on reception who will answer all your questions and make you feel welcome the welcome booklets are a nice personal touch. When you arrive to your apartment they are spotless and decorated very nice and modern. The walk in shower was massive and very powerful and the washing machine was fab for washing our swimming gear before heading home it felt like a home away from home! The hotel's facilities are fantastic too the pool and hot tub area must be booked in advance as they only let 2 groups in at a time this suited us as we could swim in the whole pool and use all the facilities without lots of people crowding around. You also get your own changing room for your hour slot. Im so glad we found this hotel it is our favourite place to stay!
We stayed here thinking it would be lovely! It is advertised as a 5* hotel. The photos of the apartments looked nice. Our apartment was small & poky, there was no storage for anything. A bonus was the free parking, which alot of hotels don't do now. Our blind in our bedroom didn't close, there was no pully on it. Looking back at other reviews it seems to be a common problem which has never been rectified!! It would've improved the outlook of the room, which was a roof, with rubbish on it! We hardly slept as the room was so hot & stuffy. The kitchen was minimalist, couldn't even find a knife to butter our croissant for breakfast, The breakfast is a self serve with, hard, dry croissants & pastries & fruit. There is hot drinks & cartons of juice. We could only book the pool for 7am. I wasn't bothered, but the kids wanted to go! On arrival at the pool, reception told us to go in changing room 2. The cleaner was in here so we used the other. We then had to return to reception to request towels which a member of staff told us they supplied. We were told, we should've been given them on the way to the pool! All in all a disappointing stay, we were expecting a lot nicer place!
I was absolutely astonished when i realised the quality of this little GEM. A completely fully furnished apartment - everything hi spec - is at your disposal. The staff are so very friendly and genuinely care that you have a lovely stay. Breakfast is available at the reception it is literally a little filler to get you on your way but adequate. The SPA is simply excellent. The beauty treatments i received were very disappointing and overpriced for the service provided. The surrounding areas are wonderful, beach is 5 minutes to the right of the hotel. Definitely return for a quick visit to th esea side.
This was our third visit to Hy Hotel and we absolutely LOVE it! We had booked a one bedroom apartment but were given a very spacious two bedroom, it was fantastic. We really didn't want to leave, could have quite happily moved in permanently. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Great location, only takes a couple of minutes to walk to shops etc and five minutes to get to promenade. We will DEFINITELY be back!
We stayed for one night as a family of two adults and two children under 8. The hotel is in a great location, very convenient for Blackpool and close to the local amenities. On arrival the staff were courteous but not overly welcoming, didn't provide much info about the hotel and were not very knowledgeable about the local area. The parking was also very cramped and small, we weren't always able to park outside the property. I'd booked a standard apt with kind size bed and sofa bed. We were allocated a two bedroom apt which suited us better. The room was pleasant but definitely not 5* standard. It was a bit tired in some areas, stains on the sofa bed, some cupboards in the kitchen broken and not enough crockery/cutlery for the potential number of occupants ie only 3 (non matching) bowls. The carpet in the communal hallway and outside the apt was also very grubby. I did also have concerns regarding the security. The front door to each block was just open, no keycard access so anyone could just gain access. I got the vibe that there were some long stay residents using the apts as temporary accommodation, not just hotel guests staying there. I don't think I would stay here again.
The room was perfect, spacious and extremely clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in great location for restaurants in St Annes and well served by local transport to nearby areas such as Blackpool and Lytham. The apartment had two bedrooms, one being en-suite and a second bathroom. If you wanted to self cater there was good facilities to do so. Televisions in the lounge and bedrooms, free Wi-Fi. Free sweets, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Both shower and bath available. Who could ask for more? Steve October 22
We stayed in an apartment which was nicely furnished and decorated, though a little grubby in places. The bed was too firm for me but my partner had no issues with it. The complimentary coffee in reception was a nice touch, however, it would have been nice to have more tea/coffee in the apartment as only 2 sachets of instant coffee seemed a bit of a let down. We booked to use the pool on three consecutive days. The booking process means that you have a private changing room and shower area and only share the pool areas with one other booking who use the second changing rooms. The booking is for an hour and this includes your shower/changing time. This process needs to be made clearer as a random guest used our changing room and the pool when we and another booking were already in. The jacuzzi was out of use for 2 of our visits which was disappointing and the pool side shower was out of use on all 3 occasions. The staff were all friendly and the hotel itself is in a great location.
We are currently staying here. The staff seem lovely. My main complaint is the heat in the rooms. The air conditioning isn't working and we have been told someone will look at it today but we go tomorrow. The window is an old style opening but because we have you young children with us we can't open it for safety reasons. The Apartment isn't child friendly with the front door to the apartment being really easy to open for toddlers. The apartment has very limited storage especially in the kitchen. The pool is lovely however the jacuzzi wasn't available to use and the sauna and steam room didn't appear to be working either. The Starbucks coffee station is really good and free sweets for the kids. Due to the heat in the rooms and the complete lack of storage I wouldn't stay here again for the price we paid I thought it was too expensive for what we got.
Booked a 1 bedroom cosy apartment & was given a 2 bedroom apartment in Block 3 (Room 312). Top floor facing Ashton Gardens. Lift was out of order all weekend so had to climb 3 floors (we are over 65 years old). Room/lounge was spacious. Bathroom large & fluffy towels supplied changed daily. Double bedroom had adequate clothes hangers, bedside tables & dressing table with mirror. Didnt use bunk bed room. Kitchen had fridge, cooker, hob & microwave. Kettle, toaster & cupboards had plates, bowls, cup, glasses & lots of cooking utencils. There is a washing machine, iron & ironing board. TV's in bedrooms & lounge. Breakfast is "grab & go" and is excellant value. Went down in morning & took back to room. Free Wi-Fi & parking (although car park very busy & some had to park in street). Didnt use the gym, pool or spa. Hotel very cental for beach, supermarkets, local park & bus stop. Only negative we had was the lift not working & having to climb 3 flights of stairs. A information sheet about what time breakfast is would help. Had to ask staff for info. Was given key card for room but had to go back to reception to get it re-activated! No brush/pan or hoover in room.
I booked this hotel as it we have stayed before. Before booking through Booking.Com I phoned as its always best to book direct. I spoke to a very helpful individual and the rate I was quoted was better than theirs direct. I requested a specific room (the one we had previously stayed in..... Confirmed! The evening before we arrived, we got an email from the hotel informing us that that the room rate was for two bed and that rate did not cover that room. However, they would provide another room ( One double bed room, one room with a a single bed and a sofa bed in the living room ) result. All good. At reception after 3 attempts to get the card right we entered a room with a double bed and a pulldown sofa. On returning to reception an asking why we did not get the room we were promised in the email, we were told it was 'given to someone else' WHY??? 'Don't Know!!!!' Can we get another room as this one is too small (family of 4) ? No we are fully booked and everyone has checked in!!! There is still 3 people in the queue behind me?? Eh No. We cannot stay in this room for two night so we are leaving!!!! WOW ! Never have I been treated so badly at reception (and I have stayed in many places). Please deliver what you promise you customers and at least try to offer a suitable alternative. We did ask to speak to a Manager - On Holiday!!!! Great start to ours HY Hotel. I am happy to discuss further if you want to contact me you have my details.
Just checked into the HY. Great first impression, extremely friendly and polite lady on reception. She explained about free star bucks and sweets in reception, what more could you want?! Very nice greeting for our little dog too! Walked to the room, couldn't believe he nice it is!!! Two rooms, fully furnished with couch and table, full kitchen, amazing shower! Bed looks comfy hopefully it won't let us down! So do happy and amazing price, 100% will be coming back with friends or family!
We stayed here for our once a year holiday and we will be back next year!! The sweet table was an absolute treat and the pool when we used it was lovely and quiet and we really appreciated the bookings for it as this made it more enjoyable knowing only a certain amount of people were in there. Eeverybody on reception that we met were great and couldn't do enough for you, anything we needed they sorted out straight away. Millie and Amy were always smiling and friendly , were absolute stars and made our stay extra enjoyable. We even met amys dog who the kids adored. We love that all iof the apartments are dog friendly and we will be bringing ours next time! Thank you so mcuh for a lovely holiday!!
We had a fabulous 1 night stay with our dog. Ok , this isn't luxury hotel but neither is the price . We found Hy hotel to be excellent value and perfect when you have a four legged friend with you . The room layout is ideal , with separate kitchen / lounge area , all well appointed. The pool/ spa is amazing and you book your own session so we had the place to ourselves . There is free unlimited Starbucks coffee and they even put a bottle of prosecco in our room. The continental breakfast was a bit limited , but overall I was super impressed with this place and will definitely be back.
Booked Hy Hotel last minute for myself and my partner for the kite festival. We got a lovely courtesy phone call the night before to see if we needed anything for our stay. I asked for an extra towel for my long hair and if possible, a sea view. When we got to the hotel, we got an upgrade so we could see the kites flying from the top floor of our room. The towel was there too. The apartment was super, clean, large and warm. Lovely little bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and a boxed new bar of soap. The hotel was close to the beach and restaurants and a Tesco express. We had a super chinese/Thai meal just round the corner. We booked a swim , the po sauna , steam room and Jacuzzi was immaculate, we really loved our swim. Would have happily stayed there longer, shame we only had one night before back to work. The staff were lovely, and we will be booking again to go back.
Maxine and the girls are amazing, they make you feel at home and cant do anything more for you.My little boy loves it here 5stars would recommend to everyone wanting to take there family for a lovely experience Hollie
Staff are amazing ,treat you like family and nothing too much bigger. Had a few issues with room and booking but all resolved by the staff. Pool was lovely and available whenever we wanted to use it. Booking only needed if you wanted a changing room. Air con going into rooms now which is needed but they provided fans .
Booked a double room apartment here, as visiting family with our dog and wanted to see the area. Parking was very limited, although check in was easy. Very little information was given on check in, regarding breakfast and the pool booking system. No phone in room. Ladder permanently placed outside kitchen window and curtains did not close properly. Wi-Fi is hot and miss, so smart tv is the same. Very basic room, nothing deluxe really and needs decorating. Sofa bed very uncomfortable and old. Room above extremely noisy (not hosts fault granted). Shower hot and cold. Not worth the £450 paid for 2 nights.
On Arrival we were greeted by the team and pur room sorted quickly and efficiently, all information about the hotel was shared and clear. Everytime i took advantaged of the free starbucks (which was often) there was always a friend face and an effort to ask how we were. We have 2 young children and every effort was made to accommodate us as a family. The staff made our children very comfortable and even humoured by them on occasions. The hotel is in a great location and very much worth the visit.
What a hotel best place I've ever stayed. Close to everything. Staff are lovley. You need to book to use the pool. Thinking of staying again but for longer. Also great for families. Good sized carpark.
We stayed for a couple of nights and had a great time the apartments were lively with everything you need. The pool was great but most importantly maxine and the staff were so friendly and helpful it made our stay so much easier and better than we could have hoped for. Oh and we loved the sweet trolley.
Had another enjoyable stay at Hi Hotel. The rooms were comfortable, modern and clean. Continental breakfast was fab. The pool was lovely and changing rooms warm. Staff were so helpful and pleasant nothing was to much trouble
A great stay at HY Hotel, room was lovely and spacious we took both our daughters and both took a friend. We also took our little dog who had a great time too. Complimentary Starbucks and pick and mix went down well with the kids and the pool and spa was stunning. We will definitely be going back.
This hotel was a lovely find for our first visit to St Annes. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 with all mod-cons apart from Air Conditioning, and as we were there during a heat wave we were surprised that the towel radiator was on full whack and the shower thermostat did not work properly so was extremely hot. Fans were in the rooms but Air Conditioning was severely missed in this 5 star establishment. Reception were very quick to get someone to turn the boiler down so we could have a cooler shower, their customer service was top notch and apparently they are awaiting a delivery of new showers. The Hy Hotel boasts a great location for shopping, the beach and Ashton Gardens are right opposite! We did not indulge in the breakfast option as we prefer a hot breakfast but with Aldi across the road and a full kitchen we were able to cook our own once we had figured out how to utilise the hob. We really appreciated the unlimited coffee on offer in the reception and the pool/jacuzzi was lovely, although you must book them in advance. All in all, we liked this place a lot and would return but maybe not during a heat wave ... the staff were all really pleasant and helpful though.
Booked last minute tickets for Lytham Festival and booked a room here. Day before arrival we received phone call asking if we needed assistance or recommendations in booking dinner, taxis etc. very impressed. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Our room turned out to be a mini suite and was absolutely lovely. Strongly recommended
We stayed at this property in September 2021 for 3 days 2 nights. It's a short drive to Blackpool but in a nice enough location to be away from the hustle and bustle. Lytham St Anne's is lovely for beach walks, traditional arcades and access to food, drink and seaside attractions. I felt Lytham St Anne's was better suited for families with smaller children. The apart hotel was lovely and clean and we had a speedy check in. We were then shown by the host to our apartment. It had a really modern, classical feel to it and smelt lovely. We had two bedrooms and a kitchen/living area overlooking the park. The bathroom was clean and spacious and good access to the shower. Modern and clean again. A plus point especially when holidaying with a small child was the beverage machine and access to fridges. We did use the drinks machine but on a couple of occasions it kept breaking down and you would get a weird concoction of water and some drinks mixture. That was a shame and I think the accommodation overall was tasked with this problem throughout our stay. Breakfast on a morning was a help yourself basis and there was the option of some cereals, yoghurts and some pastries. It was not exhaustive and mainly continental. It would have been nice to see a few more options especially if it is setting guests up for the day. The other gripe was parking could be difficult. Dependent on what time of day you were trying to get parked. There is limited amounts of spaces and it can get chaotic. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would probably stay again if in the area.
Nice pool and sauna, steam room does not fully function, nice rooms, walking distance to beach, shops, good parking Maxine good customer service Breakfast basic and takeaway but everything really clean and staff attentive
A wonderful new hotel concept Very impressed with all the facilities in the apartment Much more space and amenities than a usual hotel Only stayed one night for festival but will definitely be returning for longer Front of house staff exceptional , friendly and helpful Recommend to anyone
As you can see from previous reviews this is a "marmite" apartment Hotel. You either love it or hate it. We veered towards the latter. The apartment was on the 3rd floor with 5 sets of narrow stairs with no lift! The stair carpet was filthy and the apartment had distincly odd smell. The apartment was also dark and minimalist with very limited drawer storage. The water in the shower and kitchen veered between warmish and cool. There was also signs of mould in the shower. The " pick and mix" breakfast bar is a farce. Come down 5 flights collect cereals and breads. Make your own beverage then trail back outside, climb 5 flights to sit in your apartment for breakfast! The coffee is Starbucks which does not suit 50% of the nation being so bitter. If you like a proper breakfast with orange juice and a waiter service usually associated with this price point, go elsewhere. On the upside the staff were very friendly and helpful. Finally, don't buy wine at £20 from hotel fridge as you can get the same quality at ALDI just across the road.
Very clean hotel with very accommodating and lovely front of house staff. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are great. Gym airy with good equipment. Nice self contained apartments. Really good sized parking bays would definitely recommend and we would stay here again
Beautiful hotel , tastefully decorated and very clean Our rooms had a lovely view over the park.. The staff are welcoming and do their best to ensure your stay is comfortable. Fluffy towels , access to the lovely pool and spa area , comfortable beds and complimentary breakfast including Starbucks coffee ... what more could anyone want. I would definitely recommend
We received such a warm and friendly welcome from Mike on the front desk. He kindly brought coffees over to us and made a fuss of our little dog. The fact this hotel is dog friendly makes life so much easier. The self contained apartments are modern & contemporary. The bedroom was a little on the small side but we were only staying one night so it was fine for us. Breakfast was grab and go; yoghurt pot and pain au chocolate. It's a boutique hotel at the end of the day and for me, it was the staff here that made our stay so memorable. Everyone we encountered was so friendly. Mike in particular stood out, he is genuinely passionate about offering top customer service and cares about guests. Although we didn't get to use the pool, it looked amazing.
I booked this aparthotel because it advertised 5 star luxury apartments, Well they should be taken to task by trading standards ! The apartment was poor , paintwork and doors and curtains dark brown so it made the whole place very dark , it had no wardrobes , no dressing table and no mirrors anywhere near sockets , so no way to dry your hair The kitchen equipment was one pan with the non stick coating peeling off ! There were tea bags but no milk, coffee or sugar , milk was £1 to buy at reception We booked room and breakfast , which turned out to be a bag of bread and some cornflakes which you collected from reception and took to your room ! No juice or fruit or anything The room was unbelievably hot , we opened all the windows and found a fan in the linen cupboard, the first night there was a ‘wet dog' smell in there as well, there was no air conditioning or means to regulate the temperature And it was so noisy with dogs barking and people shouting and banging doors , It was probably one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in , we asked to use the pool but it seemed that there was only one slot over the two days and that was at 8 pm !!! At over £390 for two nights I do feel well and truly ‘ripped off ‘ I did raise the issues at reception but to no avail I would recommend you avoid this place , there are far better ones in the area
This hotel is just perfect. We stayed here with family and each had a two room apartment, which was really generously sized, beautifully decorated and well equipped. After a walk along the beach, only 5 mins from the hotel we used the pool, steam room and sauna (for free) for some R&R. The new bar area is nice for a drink before heading out on the evening, staff really friendly and chatty. As we booked direct we had complimentary breakfast, it was only a continental but plenty to choose from including Starbucks coffee - a really nice touch. Really good location, great facilities and good value for money
Had a lovely stay. Lovely apartment, pool was amazing. All the staff was lovely, especially Becci on reception who is brilliant, nothing was too much. Apartment has all the mod cons from home. Will definitely be staying again. Patricia Harrison
Where to start. Well I turned up for 2 weeks of work and visit family at an Airbnb I'd booked along the road from here. Got there and it was a con; seems the owner did rent the apartments managed by HyHotel but she'd sold the property sometime ago. I popped along to the HyHotel to see if they could explain/help. What they did was totally rescue me. They matched the cost of the Airbnb and gave me a lovely 1 bed apartment. OK so I had to claim back my lost money from Airbnb but it was not their problem that the owner had sold up and not removed their advert on Airbnb. The young girl on reception, Becky, was great, immediately called her manager, Maxine and between them made what was a stressful disaster in to a "hail Mary" moment. All of the staff have been beyond great, nothing is a problem for them to assist with. The gym is what you need and the pool and jacuzzi are fabulous just the right treat after a stressful work day. I have been able to mix working, in a quite and private location, with everything I needed, to going out and about with family. Its actually been really lovely to take my laptop and work in Ashton Gardens. There are far too many pluses for this place and it's staff. I'd definitely recommend it and hope to return next year.
2nd time we have stayed at the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly throughout the stay. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Due to the weather apartment was very warm but fan provided helped keep it cool. Plenty of shops nearby. Thank you
We've just had a short stay at the Hy, it's ideally located for everything in St Anne's and convenient for Blackpool too. The hotel itself has some great features, there's a gym and the pool was fantastic, the kids loved that and the hot tub was lovely too. Breakfast was grab and go, nice croissants, jams, cereals and unlimited sweets, free juice and Starbucks drinks was a really nice touch. The apartment itself was nice, good size bedroom with ensuite, comfortable sofa bed, decent shower (although a little low for my tall family to fit under properly and it was fixed so could not adjust the height). However a big negative for us was the insanely hot temp of all the rooms. No idea why it was so hot in there as the weather wasn't warm at all while we were there and the radiators weren't on. There was 1 fan provided but it was just too uncomfortable to sleep very well. I imagine in the summer or heatwaves it would be totally unbearable. For that reason we would not stay here again which is a shame as everything else is great.
Hotel was lovely, with gorgeous interior design. Free Prosecco and unlimited coffee was an immediate hook for me. Room was lovely, but smelt of drains the whole time. The room next door was smoking and the entire downstairs smelt of cigarettes (not impressed). Lack of dairy free options for breakfast, but hey ho. Staff were amazing and the spa treatments were wonderful. The hotel is also a little noisy and gets hot (no aircon). Thank you for the stay
This hotel is fab, clean apartment very spacious all that you need for a self catering stay. Lovely warm and approachable staff. Pool, spa and gym very modern treatments can be booked. We were upgraded for our stay which was much appreciated.
my husband and I booked this aparthotel for a ‘mini moon', on the day I booked I phoned the hotel to ask a question. I phoned twice, the phone was answered and hung up.. phoned once more and was abruptly met with “il phone back in 3 min” and hung up on. Rude! The woman phoned back and I told her the way she spoke to me was rude, to be told “not being funny but you kept phoning and I was busy” if you are busy don't answer!! I told her I was phoning to ask a question because I'd just booked this for our ‘honeymoon' to which she started profusely apologising. Too little too late! I did not stay here and thank god I didn't. Being rude lost this hotel £420.
What a fabulous stay. Family plus dog. Our half term break ended fabulously with a relaxing stay at Hy Hotel. The furnishings and facilities are second to none. Immaculate and stylish, superb gym facilities along with a fabulous pool, sauna and steam room (book prior to your stay to avoid disappointment). An excellent location, we combined our stay with a day at the beach huts and a wonderful Greek meal in Lytham. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for you. Starbucks and croissants for breakfast, everything you need to make your stay perfect is provided, we will definitely return! Thank you.
We stayed as a large group of 8: 2 families coming together for a reunion holiday. What an amazing place this is. Too many positives to list but here are a few that made this a perfect find. Free parking. Perfect location with a stunning park opposite. Swimming pool. Starbucks coffee machine. Beautiful decor and furniture. Wonderfully attentive staff. Pet friendly. Great gym equipment. The local area has plenty of lovely restaurants and shops. Also just outside of the hustle and bustle of busy Blackpool. The staff were so lovely and couldn't have done any more to help. This really felt like a luxury holiday. Thank you Hy Hotel. There are minimal negatives but worth mentioning that the apartment was so hot. We had fans and the heating was off but the building as a whole is very warm.
Had a wonderful stay. Staff helpfu and welcoming. Lovely touch with free Starbucks drinks, fruit shoots, sweets and water which kept, everyone happy. The location is wonderful opposite lovely park with great play area. Near town centre, great farmers market on Sunday. Breakfast was continental and sufficient with yoghurts, cereals and pastries. The 3 bed apartment we were in was on the whole lovely. The swimming pool was loved by the kids and my son enjoyed the well equipped gym. However, if I am being honest, there were some issues. However if these were addressed it would make me award another star making it a five star hotel for an all round facility. The flat was very hot even tho cool outside so I assume because on 2nd floor however fans were provided on request so can't hold this against hotel (room 104). Also, the sofa bed was not comfortable at all to sit on and with a family of four it would be nice to have at least one further armchair or footstool as a seat as this made watching to or just relaxing not as pleasant as it should have been. Also the main bedroom with en-suite, never had a working to despite the repairman getting it to work when I advised them, it didn't last more than few minutes! The dining chairs were also of an incorrecT height for the table and incredibly uncomfortable. I felt this really let down what was otherwise a nicely decorated apartment. The beds were very comfy and with the en-suite the two shower rooms were very welcomed. Finally on the slightlynegative side, there weren't any saucepans in the kitchen and I had to ask for some, nor were there any condiments. If it is self catering as it is, these things should be provided, and the room should be checked to ensure they were there (apparently saucepans are in the itinerary but no one checked that they were missing!). Despite these niggles we all loved the freedom of the apartment, the fact our dog was welcomed and the hotel as a whole, and we would definately stay again and in fact are hoping to book again soon!
Overnight stay here. From the beginning at check in everyone extremely friendly & helpful. We were offered a Starbucks coffee on arrival by Mike. The apartment was very good ,comfortable bed & pillows , great shower . Great size kitchen area with all utensils required+ washing machine. Every room seemed to have a tv (3). Everywhere was immaculately clean. The pool area was tremendous with a sauna , steam and Jacuzzi. There is a bus stop outside for venturing into Lytham or Blackpool plus a pub M&S and Aldi nearby. Breakfast is a grab and go variety cereal's milk yogurt and brioche fruit. Special mention to Mike for some hilarious football stories which I will use on days out with my mates.. We would definitely stay here again.
Our family of 3 plus our dog stayed here, for the first time, for 2 nights. It is ideal for a short break and also close to shops, restaurants and the beach. It was a 2 bed apartment, with a lovely sitting area and stylishly furnished throughout. We would definitely stay again. However, the single bedroom was small with nowhere to hang clothes and no drawers but fine for our 13 year old. The double bedroom was lovely, spacious, extremely comfortable bed, and we had 2 good nights sleep, but again no drawers, although there is space for some. Not a major problem for a 2 night stay but might be difficult if we stayed longer. While the kitchen was lovely, we didn't think we would have been able to cook a meal but warming up pizza etc was fine and it was all that we wanted for the first night. There was a washing machine but no dishwasher and there was no area to drain and place things after they had been washed but we managed to improvise. Dishwasher would be preferable to washing machine as it seems to be a short stay place so unlikely to have to wash clothes. Friendly staff and the availability of Starbucks is a nice touch. Overall, we would stay again now that we are aware of what is available in terms of using the kitchen facilities etc as it is ideally placed and reasonable value for money although if the rates went up it would put us off.
Just returned from 1 night stay with our family. Fabulous stay. Apartment clean, warm and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool clean and fab having it to ourselves. Great position near the shops and the beach. We have booked again for the summer
We were only staying 1 night but was so impressed that Maxine rang us the day before to check if we had any questions. I explained we were bringing our puppy and were slightly worried about how she would cope in a hotel etc. Maxine put us in the most perfect room and couldn't do enough to make sure we were all comfortable and had a really great stay. Such excellent customer service throughout. The pool was lovely and my son had such a good time and our puppy too!! The hotel itself is so lovely - such beautiful Victorian features yet modern decor. The complementary starbucks and treats are a great feature and we cant wait to come back again soon! Thank you to Maxine and the team at Hy, we really enjoyed our stay
Our 3rd visit, max on reception is amazing, she always gives us the best welcome! The rooms are 5* everything you could need, and more! The treatments on offer are amazing also, the pool is lovely and clean! Everything that is on offer is amazing, they think of everything! Down to washing up liquid provided, washing machine comes in handy too!
Can't recommend this place enough. It was the first time we'd stayed somewhere with our 5 month old baby and it was just perfect. The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating- they couldn't do enough to help. We had a travel cot and high chair on request. Loads of space. A modern kitchen and comfy beds. Perhaps a bath would have been handy but we brought our own baby bath anyway. It's across the road from an Aldi and M&S which made staying in with a baby very easy. We used the pool everyday and had it to ourselves every time. We loved that the beach was a 5 minute stroll too. Thanks so much Hy, we just wish there were more of these hotels around the country!
This is hands down the best hotel we have stayed in for the price. The room is finished to such a high standard! Even has integrated dishwasher, microwave and washing machine! Things you really don't expect in a hotel stay. We were greeted by such welcoming and friendly staff. And even given a free Bottle of Prosecco. They really couldn't do enough for us. We enjoyed time in the swimming pool which was stunning and we had it all to ourselves! The bed was very comfortable and the room warm enough but not too hot. 2 tvs one in the bedroom and one in the living area which lots of channels. It is in perfect walking location to all amenities. The standard of this hotel is so high it felt like such a luxury. It's not often we return to hotels as we like to try out different ones but this is one we would love to return to! Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.
Booked a 2 night stay here with our dog & was looking forward to it as it was apartment rather than a hotel. We wanted to chill on an evening & watch Netflix etc & get food in so the apartment concept was perfect. The apartments are lovely & good quality furnishings etc. & staff on check in & check out were lovely. The free Starbucks really appreciated. However, in block 4 our ground floor apartment was a little rough round the edges. Needs a bit if TLC to restore. We had a number of issues that really disturbed our sleep & we had to turn the electric off in the night to quieten the buzz & we also had signal issues meant the TV in living room was poor. The final straw was the light switch cover falling off and into our dogs bed. We spoke to reception & were offered a move to an upgraded 2 bedroom apartment but concluded to check out as this wouldn't be available until later in the day. The response & customer service was excellent & notes taken for maintenance of the things to fix so despite these issues I'd happily return and a refund was processed quickly for our second nights unused stay. So whilst my stay experience might not have lived up to expectations the customer service and attitude certainly did. I think it's a great place overall we were just unlucky with room allocation on this occasion.
My friends & I 1 spent one night at the Hy hotel & it was superb. We arrived slightly early, received a lovely welcome with coffee whilst they check if our room was ready, which it was. We were shown to our room which had been decorated with banners, balloons, bunting & even a cake!! Outstanding! The apartment was spotless, roomy & very comfortable. The leisure facilities were great, very relaxing, we had it pretty much to ourselves too. We will definitely stay again & recommend to friends & family.
Great place to chill out in an aparthotel with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Ideal for a family to stay with full kitchen facilities to eat in and relax. Maxine was amazing and super helpful. Great to have the Starbucks machine in reception and cold drinks for the children. Highly recommended and will return soon.
Such friendly staff, amazing clean rooms and great location! Greeted by a lovely lady who offered us Starbucks coffee on arrival, swift check in and took us to our apartment. Definitely will be returning, thank you!
Really good apartment, good size and good location, pool area and gym were really good and the free Starbucks and water was a great touch. Lady on Reception was really helpful but I think she was a bit overrun with requests. We had to ask several times for new towels and ended up getting them ourselves eventually. Maybe a few more staff are needed to keep on top of things as she was run off her feet. Could do with a drainer for dishes after they've been washed and a bit more cutlery would be good. But overall was good
This hotel is by far the best hotel/apart hotel I've ever stayed at. It's luxurious, family friendly, stunning, HUGE apartments , clean. We even got a free bottle of prosecco! The price is insanely good for the value you get. I have never had such amazing service anywhere. The pool is so warm and clean, spa area amazing! The staff are kind, welcoming and helpful. I would genuinely live here. I'm going to now be staying here every single year. Thank you SO SO SO SO much.
Great family time in a lovely setting. Decor was lovely with lots of lovely touches eg. Complimentary Starbucks, water and sweets. Although there was no hot breakfast available there was a continental breakfast included in the stay. Dogs are also allowed which really made the visit perfect.
We stayed here for two nights with our 6-month-old spaniel. Everything was lovely from the facilities to the ladies at reception. A great place to stay if you're looking for something upmarket but not too expensive and has the perks of free Starbucks. The service is polite and the seaside location is perfect.
Joined the Hy gym just before lockdown and although I've used swimming facilities with no problem over 2 years, I haven't yet used the gym. Booked induction for with reception today and it was all a bit strange. When I arrived the person said they weren't qualified to show me anything, one running machine was broken and the other had a little boy using it.. the person then suggested another guest, a man who was there, could show me the equipment. When I said that I wasn't keen on that and was finding this a bit strange as I'd booked a gym induction he said it wasn't a commercial gym like JD. I said I've been paying a membership for over 2 years so it is commercial to me .. he said I was being pedantic and I should cancel if I'm not happy. Also he told me I was contacted during lockdown to explain the gym was no longer commercial, I said I wasn't contacted and again he said I could cancel my membership if I want. All of this was delivered with weird attitude, as though he just didn't want me there. I said that I was a finding the conversation a bit strange, as I'd turned up expecting an induction, he offered an insincere apology and again said he would be happy to cancel my membership if if I didn't like it! So I went home with no induction, I couldn't use the gym as someone booked in and feeling a bit upset! Very odd for a service driven business…
A couple of nights at the Hy as we were in Lytham shopping. The hy has a spa and you can order treatments. Very close to the shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants and a park. The promenade is a 5 minute walk. The apartment was very well maintained. It was clean and the decor was modern with everything you need to spend a couple of nights away from home. Starbucks coffee on tap in reception was a nice touch. The furniture, electronics , bedding and towels was of a high standard as was the decoration and attention to detail.
I asked for the bill to be made out to my company for tax purposes, 3 TIMES and yet the bill was still addressed to my name only. I even gave the receptionist a hand written note stating my company address details for invoicing purposes. She took 10 minutes working on the computer while I waited, so I assumed she had put all the relevant details down for my invoice which was to be e-mailed. I am still waiting for the correct invoice details after numerous requests.
I would love to take the opportunity to let you know that our stay was fantastic. The staff were amazing, nothing was to much if we asked for anything or a question.our spa treatments were especially excellent. We will definitely be returning Can't praise this place enough.
Visited for the first time with my wife. We loved the location as it is easy access to everywhere locally. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was huge, they are similar to apartments. They have good facilities on site to including a pool. My only complaints were the bed was a little to firm for us and although the shower was very powerful it was only luke warm. I would certainly recommend this place and will stay again.
Thought we had found a real gem until bedtime when the noises from the room above was terrible, don't think the people up there tried to be quite but the sound proof works was non existent, we rang down to reception but we got a message saying they were closed. We had a great day with our grandchildren we all wore out looking forward to a good nights sleep but to no avail. Will not come back . Mores the pity cause it's a nice hotel with a great pool and very modern facilities in a nice place
So after deciding to extend our trip for a extra night, we wondered into the apartments to be greeted by a lovely lady on reception, what a great start to our night away she is lovely and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. I would recommend booking direct. Drinks & sweets for the children unlimited Hot chocolate & lattes The price you pay you won't beat anywhere in St anns. We stayed in a 2 bedroom room, wow there beautiful and spacious, love the attention to detail. All the staff are some of the friendliest we've met, again couldn't do enough to help & make us feel welcome. Pool area nice & clean. We will be returning Thankyou for having us.
Stayed here for one night, lovely friendly staff, hotel really nice apartments dine to a high standard will definitely stay again.central location , staff very knowledgeable advised us where to go.Clean apartments, interior excellent modern contemporary interiors , swimming pool and gym excellent addition, morning breakfast adequate
We stayed as a group. Hotel was clean and the bed comfortable. One of our group had a migraine after we had checked out and were in the spa. They were very understanding and let her use our room to sleep for a couple of hours. Thanks again. We also used the spa and will definitely return. The facial was the best I've ever had.
I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was comfortable but not without its faults. there were no coat hooks or hangers and no space for any storage in the twin bedded room. No lift - I thought this was essential to get a 5 star rating - and the shower door kept falling off. The bedside light was also wonky and would not stay in position. Good value though - £50 a night for an apartment just to myself!
- Booked a King apartment, was given an apartment with a double bed. - Was given option of staying in another 2 bedroom apartment or to be given a partial refund...took the partial refund option, but still chasing it 10 days later. - this place is nowhere near 4/5 star standard, the apartments are 3 star max and all the breakfast items etc are from the Aldi over the road. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to get the wool pulled over your eyes. can see someone else on here has had the same issue, but was fobbed off, but i will go through the small claims court to get money back if neccesary.
We stayed as a family of 4 for 1 night as a night away with the kids in Blackpool (3 year old and 5 month old). We paid £175 which is not a small amount for one night but we did so as we were booking on the basis that it was a spacious 1 bedroom apartment and would cater for our needs. The whole experience was a severe let down for the following reasons: 1) we booked a king room on the assumption we would have king size bed which is what the website stated (our baby sometimes needs to get in bed with us in the night and my wife breastfeeds so the space is needed). We were told that the ‘king room' we booked didn't come with a king size bed - never heard so much rubbish. We complained and were given a £30 refund as compensation as no other rooms available. We weren't bothered about the money but we did want the bed that we booked for the above reasons. 2) there was no heating in the apartment. I called down to reception to query why and was told I wasn't turning the radiators on properly by the radiator valves. I was. Checked the boiler in the boiler cupboard and that was off as no pressure. Managed to get the pressure back up to get the heating on with some messing around. 3) window blinds were all broken. One window I went to close the roller blind in the bedroom and the whole thing just came off the ceiling. Managed to clip back on but was not secure. Living room window blind wouldn't come down at all so my son slept on the sofa bed with no window blind overlooking a main road with all lighting. Luckily we were on top floor so couldn't be overseen but still a lot of light let in 4) room was dirty in parts. Food debris on kitchen floor and the fridge had stale / spilt milk spilt in the door which caused the fridge to stink. 5) sofa in living room was so uncomfortable. After we got in that night from Blackpool and put kids to bed, my wife and I tried to sit with a bottle of wine (btw no bottle opener) but couldn't sit for long as the sofa was so hard and uncomfortable. 6) breakfast is ‘continental' meaning cereals and pastries. Pasties we're low quality, like those multi pack ones you get in the supermarket, not enjoyable. 7) Pool: a really good feature of the hotel and very spacious (pool area and changing rooms) but again let down; No chairs / loungers to sit on if you want to relax there, no toiletries provided in changing area (supposed to be a spa hotel), steam room was all mouldy. What did I like about this hotel? It's a good location basis for Blackpool and surrounding areas. The hotel itself is decorated and furnished beautifully (very modern), but for £175 a night (and supposed to be 4/5 star), I just don't expect the above issues. Wouldn't stay again.
Great hotel for trip into Blackpool 5 minutes walk to train station. Great location in st Anne's all shops n bars on your door step. Park park across the road. Staff where very friendly and room upgrade was nice surprise. Boys loved using the pool after their day in Blackpool. Will definitely use this hotel again on next trip to Blackpool
We arrived to the most warmest welcome from Megan, she told us how breakfast works etc! All info about the pool and the gym! The room we had was so beautiful it exceeded our expectations, spotlessly clean and modern! The kitchen, was bigger than expected and we didn't realise it came with dishwasher and washer dryer! Bonus! The monsoon shower was great! The beds were so comfortable, we had great sleep! We used the gym twice fully equipped and clean, we didn't have time to use the pool but it looked great! We loved it so much we rebooked when we checked out! Thanks guys for a lovely 3 night stay!
Me, my husband and children stopped here for 1 night - we wanted a nice family night away from the hustle and bustle of ‘normal' life. Check-in was very quick and the lady was super friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we went to room with complimentary glasses of fizz and ice cream for the kids. Apartment was really lovely, lacked places to put clothes, coats and shoes but that's my only complaint. Beds were comfy and apartment really clean. We used the pool twice, very limited numbers in the pool which the kids loved - more room to swim/play... all leisure facilities were good quality, towels were provided. Breakfast was a choice of cereal, breads, fruit and yogurts - Starbucks coffee or water - not my thing, but the lids enjoyed it. Overall lovely stay, however with a hefty price tag - still can't decide if it was worth the £309 I paid for the 1 night. It was a last minute book and availability elsewhere was slim, not sure I would pick to pay that much usually.
My friend and I booked a spa. A brilliant experience. The hot stone massage was amazing as was the facial. The staff really friendly and welcoming. Although we did not use the jacuzzi and swimming that day we were allowed to book for another day which we did and it was lovely.
Had a lovely week staying at the HY Hotel. Rooms and facilities are amazing and such friendly staff. Could not have done more for us, nothing was an issue. Booked my next stay while checking out. Would definitely recommend.
Friendly staff. Neat and clean place. Value for money. Great location. . Decent food. Highly recommended. Enough parking space. We stayed with few friends and thoroughly enjoyed. Reception is pen 24 hours
I REALLY REALLY loved this place and I can't thank the owners enough for organising my stay for me. In fact, I loved it SO much... that I've just booked another stay for a couple of weeks time!! In terms of location, it's perfect. The facilities at the hotel were second to none. The bedding and all other accoutrements were perfect and spot on. Very well done to the whole team there!! Cheers, and see you in a few weeks again!!
Great apartment with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and some nice extras too. Lovely pool, steam room and hot tub. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
Got parked straight away after a long drive which was a huge relief. Had a walk round locally to pass time as we couldn't check in until 3pm. Came back at 3pm but had to sit and wait until 4pm as there was a delay cleaning it. Then had a key issue so reception had to go find cleaner to let us in. Nice decor but the bunk beds were so creaky and the bedroom had a disgusting sewer smell (apartment 401). Next day we all got up and wanted a shower but it was dangerously hot and wouldn't turn down. Staff were good and new shower part fitted while we went out for day. Breakfast was grab and go in reception which was fine for us. Never used pool/spa so can't comment on this. The bar wasn't available in the hotel but we were happy going out. If you enjoy Chinese then Zen Restaurant in Lytham St Annes is beautiful. Has potential to be a great hotel but a few issues letting it down at the moment.
Really nice decor very clean and staff were friendly. Great location just a five minute walk to the beach. The pool was also lovely, nice and warm and facilities were clean and well maintained. The 24hr coffee machine was really unreliable so maybe be worth taking some instant coffee as a back up for your room
Overall generally satisfied with our hotel stay. Parking is limited although we had no issues and there is plenty of parking on neighbouring streets. Parking -appears limited in most hotels in this area. The hotel room and bathroom are tastefully decorated, although some re decoration is required after a very heavy tourist season. Nice bedding, pillows and comfortable beds. Would recommend ground floor rooms are avoided as I imagine these are impacted by parking vehicles outside of ground floor rooms. The rooms did appear to have a slight odour like some of the other reviews mention, although there were plenty of plug in air fresheners in each room Breakfast was basic but adequate and reasonable for the price-choice of cereals , pastries and yoghurts. The breakfast is probably something we personally would not take up on our next visit- coffee machine kept on breaking and breakfast juice should be considered. Staff were very pleasant and helpful- check in was very efficient. We used the pool whilst we were there, which was clean, as too were the changing rooms. Sauna was out of order. Overall we were more than satisfied with our stay and would probably stay again should prices reduce slightly when the demand for stay-cations reduces following the pandemic.
When we arrived staff not particularly welcoming or helpful. We weren't shown where anything was. Accomodation itself was lovely. Kitchen was well equipped. Room had a smell of drains for the full duration.Beds extremely uncomfortable along with sofa. Leisure facilities were below average. Jacuzzi was cold, sauna out of order and steam room only produced a small amount of steam for around 2 minutes. Final day we nipped out for snacks for the 3 hour journey home and when we came back to the room they were already cleaning it prior to us checking out. Highly disappointing and I would confidently say it is not a 5 star unless these issues above drastically change.
We stayed here for one evening as a family of 4 and the hotel could not be faulted in our opinion .We tried to book another night but Unfortunately they were full. Staff were very helpful and informative. The pool area was clean and well managed, with not too many families in at the same time. The 2 bedroom apartment with en suite was perfect . The grab n go breakfast was fine and plentiful and coffee ice cream and sweets also yoghurt very welcome Loved it we were in main area over reception not sure about other areas but no complaints and when you are booking you need to ensure you book per requirements if you are 4 people ideally you need 2 bedrooms Looking at negative comments I would say it is a fact that booking a one bedroom apartment to facilitate 4 people you cannot expect the same comforts and space. Great location and would be happy to stay again.
We love Lytham St Anns, we have stayed on a few occasions and visited many times. The location of this hotel is very good, close to the local supermarkets and over looks Ashton Gardens, a lovely park with a brilliant cafe in the Pavilion. We choose the Hy Hotel because they allowed dogs and we were planning to holiday with our daughter and her family so needed two apartments. This is apartment accommodation is trying to be a hotel. Our room had been recently modernised, however the staircase up to it was very unsafe as the steps where coming away from the landing, this is an accident waiting to happen! We had booked a room with two double beds but were given a room with one double and a very tiny room with bunk beds, this room was just big enough for the beds. We had one very small hanging space, in the double room and this was all the storage we had, this meant we could not unpack and lived out of our suitcase. This is not what you expect whilst in 5*Hotel and on holiday... There is no dressing space to do makeup or dry your hair. There are no coat hooks or hanging space in the bathroom or hallway. This would be easily rectified by using the lovely hall space for hooks and shoe rack and hooks behind doors. Some drawer space is essential not a luxury! It is not acceptable to sell a bedroom space that is only fit to sleep in. On the whole the kitchen looks lovely but there was no spare cupboard to store our food, we had to use the window ledge for this, there was a dishwasher but it leaked and there is a washing, in our opinion is not needed. We feel they have not got the basics right. Our daughters room was like ours with little storage/ hanging space with no drawers. Her room smelt awful of the drains. The hotel was full so no room change available. We made the best of what it was. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and shower good. Sadly it did not live up to what advertised. It would not take much for this to be up to standard, just get the basics right! Breakfast if grab and go. In our opinion they would have been better putting a small welcome pack in each room. The starbuck coffee machine was a nice touch but we did question if it was starbucks coffee as it was so bitter. They ran our of hot chocolate, tea and Ice-cream, this was not re stocked during our stay. Staff were often seen stocking up from the local Aldie with food supplies. All that glitters is not gold here. Pool/spa space. The pool was not clean there was hair floating in the bottom of the pool, the floor are was not clean . The Jacuzzie was out of order throughout our stay. Staff are very welcoming and polite but not good at resolving issues. There was also general building work going on whilst we were there, bare this in mind if you are planning on staying.
This hotel promises so much but is a real case of style over substance. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are good, but in almost every other respect the rooms are just not finished. No shelves or hooks or even drawers to put clothes in, no where to hang towels in the bathroom, and incomplete sets of cutlery and crockery in the kitchen. Our room was spotlessly clean, but so dimly lit that if it had been dirty you probably wouldn't have been able to see it, despite it being one of the premium rooms overlooking the car park. The biggest issue for us was lack of basic tea, coffee and milk in the rooms, meaning having to get dressed and walk across the car park to get breakfast from reception each morning (as the hotel is configured across four separate but adjacent buildings with no internal link). The internet password didn't work, so eventually the night porter (who was by far the most personable and helpful member of staff on site) kindly gave us the password for the staff network The worst issue was the appalling state of the pool area - it wasn't cleaned at all for the duration of our stay, hair in the pool and jacuzzi, food on the floor of the sauna and general muck on through out the pool floor area. The changing rooms were disgusting and the dispensers in the showers with shampoo were broken and/or empty, depending which cubicle you chose. The hotel was understaffed with receptionists also cleaning rooms, doing the laundry, and shopping across the road at Aldi to stock the breakfast area (and leaving the trolley they'd wheeled back from the supermarket sat in the reception area). If you're going to spend in excess of £200 a night to stay in Lytham, do yourself a favour and go to The Grand instead - we've stayed there many times will be returning there for future trips.
Great location in the town centre , parking at hotel can be a bit overcrowded . Hotel is very modern but lacked a few things for the money that we paid . No bedroom storage we lived out our suitcase no mirrors in bedroom. Told that rooms wouldn't be cleaned because of covid but restrictions had been lifted , so left to empty our own bins ask for bin bags and clean towels and bedding . Plus side pool n sauna was very good but restricted to times . Overall had a good time but plenty room for improvement for over £200 per night .
Stayed here last year and one day became available, so took the opportunity to getaway. Maxine and Lauren do everything with a hard-working team focused on Housekeeping They could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and loved the grab and go. Help yourself to teas and coffees and chocolates and a grab to go breakfast with yoghurts and fruits. Everything made our stay just perfect, Thank you to the entire team.
Pokey apartment on top floor with no lift. Stifling hot. No ice tray TV did not tune in No wardrobe Advertised as a King Bed but nowhere near... barely a double No shampoo or soap in the pool showers Room blinds did not work Simply not worth the money.
What a great place to stay will definitely return. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and great leisure facilities. Would like to have stayed longer. The location is central to the beach, gardens and shops so you can park the car and walk everywhere.
Recently visited HY hotel for a weekend break. We had an apartment that sleeps 5 and found it really nice. Very spacious, clean, comfortable beds and lovely decor. The staff were very helpful always and the swimming pool, sauna steamroom and hottub were nice to use. Out side of the hotel the area is very nice. There is a park over the road that is very well kept. If you want to walk along the front to the beach it is only 5 mins walk at the most! The only thing i could is that it could be better if there was a bar in the hotel, i think maybe there is normally one but its not open at the moment. overall we all enjoyed our stay
Room 404 was spacious, clean with great facilities. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Staff were excellent. Pool was lovely - but book ahead. Location great, opposite a park, close to shops and close to beach.
Very warm and welcoming staff was great definitely would recommend this hotel .Plenty of things to do its around the corner from the beach local shops and town centre.lovely italian just around the corner also a pub few yards down.
Me and my family had a brilliant stay, our apartment was spacious and clean, fresh linen was provided along with lovely little toiletries , The staff were lovely, really made us feel at home, if we needed any help with anything they were more than happy, they recommended different restaurants and where to go. Breakfast was a grab and go option of cereal, fruit, jam, yoghurts, free Starbucks all day! definitely worth trying the Hot Chocolate The location is great, beach around the corner and lovely little shops. The pool was great, you must book to use it, you are provided with towels. my family loved it. Definitely will be staying here again !!! thank you for having us
This is not a 5 star hotel!!! Please don't make the same mistake as us... we did not do enough research on this place. Very small room for my wife and I to share with two children (kids where expected to share very small single bed) with no room to even open suitcase.. NO COOKED BREAKFAST, but serial to take to your rooms. That being said the pool was amazing and a lovely area to stay,Staff friendly enough and if it was just me and my wife it would have been sufficient.
We booked this hotel expecting it to be lovely, so online we booked a one bedroom king apartment for 3 adults. After looking back at the pictures of the room online to what we got I cannot believe your advertising a room that was basically a bed and a kitchen area. On their website it was stated there was a sofa bed, it was literally a sofa no mattress. We were on the ground floor, in area 3. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room as it was 33 degrees heat outside and the room was tiny. But please don't advertise something that should of been a big king room when it wasn't. A king apartment paying £240 a night we expected it to be a king room. If you were busy I'd rather you would just tell us that we haven't got the room we asked for.
So first of all I'm not going to start on a negative but our trip did the hotel is lovely room was perfect and the extra touches were perfect wife loved toiletries and the kids cheered when they opened the sweets but the trip started with us arriving a little early so we tried to speak to the receptionist to leave the car and ask for somewhere nice to eat but she left the desk abruptly to answer her phone and continue to argue outside while having a cigarette leaving us standing around for 10 mins when she finally came back she was ignorant and condescending she stunk of bad hygiene and stale smoke she had tears in her eyes so obviously something wasn't right so we left and went for lunch when we arrived back to check in there was another member of staff but she was excellent very helpful booked us a table for a local restaurant made us feel welcome the next morning the receptionist we first met was back on nothing was any different except she looked worse like she hadn't slept or bathed when my wife asked about breakfast she said help yourself my love and pointed without even making eye contact when We got back to our room the key didn't work so I returned to reception but no one to be seen I waited for 10 mins no sign till a male came and asked if I was ok and he gave me a key he was concerned no one was on reception asking another lady where max was we later found out that the lady is question was the manager and she's even disrespectful and rude to her staff telling a young girl to hurry up and when u get back I have a list of jobs for U shocked is an understatement such a lovely hotel and one bad apple can nearly ruin a lovely family trip
We stayed at Hy Hotel, Lytham St Anne's room 403 as part of our staycation. The website claims it is 5 star luxury and the pics looked amazing, but the reality is very different. We arrived at 3pm for check in and were told our room not ready. The cleaner was standing there and said she had not even begun to clean block four. No apology was offered and we were told it would be at least an hour and they would phone us when ready. It was a heatwave and we had a child and dog with us. All boiling, sweaty and tired after drive from Glasgow. We were just told to go away - no offer to sit anywhere or a drink of water nothing. An hour and a half passed they still hadn't called so we went back to reception. Told our room ready now but when we got inside saw not cleaned. Pubic hairs in sink, dust all over floors, toothpaste and slime all over bathroom. We phoned reception and told it was clean and it was just some grout. We demanded someone came no one did. At half 5 we had to cancel our dinner reservations as still not been able to shower. When cleaner came she offered no apology just got defensive and said it was the last apartment to be cleaned so she forgot to clean it all. Which made no sense. I watched her clean using just a pack of wipes. No mop, disinfectant or proper cleaning. A quick wipe. I had to thoroughly clean floors and shower myself. Rooms are cramped and badly designed. No storage in bedrooms just one small clothes rack in kitchen. We had no iron as advertised, only 2 towels for 3 people, only 1 spoon. No complimentary water or coffee as some seemed to receive. The wifi did not work, parking was a nightmare as public use for gym etc. Outside our room was a building site. Dust everywhere, bin bags, pipes hanging off. It all felt like hotel not yet finished. This is not 5 stars its cheap and terrible service from staff. No ac and no curtains in one room so boiling and hard to sleep.
Enjoyed a great stay. Rooms great. Staff were amazing. Enjoyed all the facilities. Big group of friends. Nothing was too much trouble. Will stay again. Will recommend to family and friends. Great find.
After our holiday was cancelled we decided on a staycation in St Anne's it was lovely the weather was glorious and the aparthotel was fantastic from the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly accommodating staff the apartment was spotless and well equipped we had the gym pool sauna and steam to ourselves which made the break special can't wait to go back in august think we've found a hidden gem 5 mins from Blackpool and 5 mins from the beautiful Lytham which had some lovely restaurants and bars
We booked this deal in 2020 prior to lockdown. We had to keep cancelling due to lockdown or Lancashire constantly being in Tier 3 last year. Great location for visiting the town and beach. Parking in front of the apartments was at a premium and if you struggled to get a space we were told to watch for people leaving and then grab that space! I suspect it was because people had been using the gym and pool facilities. We had a ground floor apartment which was quite nice except for the rock hard bed settee. Nice kitchen area fully equipped. Very comfortable bed although the bedroom was very small. Modern bathroom with a power shower. We bought the voucher through Travelzoo which gave us 2 nights B and B. Due to restrictions breakfast couldn't be delivered to our room so as other reviewers have said we had to get a grab and go breakfast from Reception. This was extremely limited. Our voucher said it included breads, jams, marmalade. Pastries, cereals, fruit juices , fresh fruit and a Starbucks coffee. Well that certainly wasn't true. Fruit juice was a packet of Capri sun! No bread, jam or butter to be seen. Cereal was limited to Rice Krispies, cornflakes and 2 pots of porridge on the shelf. On the Saturday there were 6 pastries in the basket but on Sunday none at all……probably because the local bakery was closed. The cereals were the smallest boxes ever. The best thing was the Starbucks coffee. Certainly not 5* accommodation but nice to be able to self cater with a supermarket just over the road if you didn't want to eat out every meal. On a negative note we were asked twice to pay for the accommodation despite having prepaid it a year earlier. Clearly their booking system needs updating to ensure guests are not hounded for payments.
I suspect your experience in this hotel will very much depend on the room given and how big your party is. The top floor rooms are under the eaves so fairly cramped and when we stayed were unbearably hot. The road is loud so closing the window only added to this problem. A two bedroom apartment is sold as sleeping 6, but the sofa bed was barely bigger than a single. It is also the only comfortable seat (the other seating is around a dining table) so a maximum of 2 people can sit comfortably at any given time. Not ideal for a relaxing weekend away. The only place to store clothes was a couple of drawers and one small rail in the master bedroom. No storage at all in the second bedroom (no furniture other than a bunk bed in fact). This meant we had clothes everywhere which was not relaxing. We had some additional niggles, eg missing towels/sheets/broken blinds. Staff are lovely and trying their best. Pool area is nice but jacuzzi was not heated and the changing rooms are cramped. Finally, breaksfast is ‘grab and go' which means there is a shelving unit in reception with some variety packs and cheap multipack pastries/juice boxes from the local supermarket. Nowhere to eat this so the only option is to take it back to your room and deal with the washing up etc yourself. We didn't have enough crockery so had to share bowls. There is a supermarket opposite so it would be easier and cheaper to just pick something up from there and take to the park. The rooms are nicely decorated, so for a couple or small family this hotel may be fine, but for us it was disappointing and absolutely not a 5* experience.
Great facilities, clearly money has been spent on the rooms - nice to have a self contained apartment so you have freedom to stay in or go out and eat! Fantastic location close to the beach and lovely park opposite the town centre 5 mins walk with nice bars and restaurants. Swimming pool lovely and gym a bonus . A great break .
We stayed Monday to Friday in a 2 bed apartment. The rooms were very stylish and striking. The beds extremely comfortable with lovely clean, crisp bedding. The rooms were well equipped and very well maintained. We stayed in Room 308..the bay window overlooked the park so the view was lovely. We did originally get put in the eaves, but I asked if there was a roomier apartment, the owner swapped us with no hesitation. The hotel is situated in a great location, 2 minutes to the beach, 2 minutes to the shops, bars and restaurants and only over the road from a lovely park. We didn't manage to park our car initially as the car park was full ( it was bank Holiday Monday) we found on street parking and moved the cars once we saw a space free. My boys used the pool and gym, they really enjoyed both. The booking system was super. Very easy to work. The staff were really helpful and very friendly. The owner couldn't do enough for you. A young lad named Adam was super helpful, very chatty and welcoming. I also found the maintenance guy to be the same too. (Sorry didn't get his name) He was very helpful when there was a problem with the shower, came to fix the problem straight away. I will definitely be returning to stay here in the future.
Hi, just got back from a fantastic stay at the Hy Hotel, we had rooms 304 and 307. On arrival we were lucky to get a car parking space, there is free parking for maybe 30 cars in front of the hotel, which is a bit like gold dust, but the staff are running around trying to sort any parking problems. From what I saw over our 2 day stay the staff are fantastic, a credit to the hotel. I can only comment on our rooms and they were brilliant, 304 was especially nice, ground floor with a bay window overlooking the car park, very light and spacious. We had an hours swimming booked on one day and there was only me and my daughter in there, pool, jacuzzi and sauna, which was totally brilliant. Breakfast is self serve at the reception and was fine, coffee cereal brioche etc. We had a great stay as the weather as brilliant, I can recommend Lytham (Not st annes) just down the road which is a bit posher. Again Hy Hotel Lytham, staff deserve a pat on the back, 10 out of 10.
We returned to this hotel having stayed there just over a year ago when it first opened expecting the same excellent standards we experienced then, particularly given that the hotel has been closed for much of the year due to Covid. Unfortunately this is not the case and standards and service have slipped quite significantly. Ii know that Covid has placed some limitations on hotels and have taken this into account, however the information we received from the hotel lacked key details and the standards in the hotel were not up to what we expected or enjoyed last time. Despite having an apartment that could sleep 6 there were only 2 or 3 of many kitchen items meaning that not everybody could dine together as we had to wash up bowls and cutlery in between. The availability of key cooking equipment to be able to self cater (as is required at the moment as restaurants are closed) was not there with the only utensils being a tin opener, fish slice and a potato masher. I've stayed in a static caravan for a week at the same price as we paid for a night and they were far better equipped. There was no tea and coffee in the room, despite this being listed on the website. We were told this was due to council rules not allowing shared items in the room that others may have touched. Yet bottles of soap and shampoo were in the room that others would have also touched. To expect people who are paying 5 star prices to then purchase tea and coffee from reception is rather unreasonable! We managed to book the swimming pool however this isn't being managed by staff. There is supposed to be a fixed time slot and cleaning in between. This isn't taking place and the previous booking were still in there when we should have been and the changing rooms had clearly not been cleaned with dirt on the floor and dirty towels left on benches. Not acceptable in these times.
Stayed here for 2 nights for a much-needed family staycation. The staff were very friendly. The apartments are top-notch, my wife loved the style of the decor used throughout. We'd love to know where the beds are from, it was the best night's sleep we've had in ages! The only thing I can fault is there aren't any coat hooks for big coats but a very easy fix!
Imagine the disgust at finding this much filth on your finger from the towel rail? And the minty 'dust magnet ' fake plants....get some proper cleaners and proper cleaning products. Dirty. Considering they kept us waiting an hour while the room was being cleaned, this was a joke. Covid regulations completely disregarded
Location excellent, free parking. Minutes from supermarket and town centre. No frills room (209) top floor. Everything you need for the basic stay is there. The sofa was very uncomfortable and the room was very hot even when heating off. Lots of work refurbishing near by apartments so a bit dusty at times but this will resolve itself on completion of the works. Its OK for work but definitely not 5 star!
Hy hotel cancelled our July stay with 5 days notice, because they were overbooked, so we rebooked for August. On arrival found we had been 'upgraded' to a 2 bed apartment on the 3rd floor (lift not working and old narrow staircase). It was in the eaves and excessively hot (no aircon). The lounge was dark and oppressive with low windows, the 2nd bedroom was the same. I returned to reception to say I couldn't stay in there for 3 nights. Reception were very helpful and moved us to a ground floor one bed apartment, which we had originally booked. It was nice, however anybody parking their car or walking past could see directly into the living room. After walking around the town, along the front and having lunch for a number of hours on the second day, we returned to find, to our horror, that the driver's side rear bumper of our car had been badly damaged. We went directly to Reception to report this and Joel joined us to view the car. We all agreed that the damage hadn't been caused by the current car parked next to ours. Joel confirmed that they had CCTV and said he would review the footage. A few hours later he came to advise us that the damage had been caused by a gym member and that he would make contact with him. We spoke again on checking out and were advised they were still trying to contact him and would message us when they did. To cut a very long story short. Following lots of correspondence back and forth, the hotel conveniently couldn't recall who the member was. We then expected the hotel's Public Liability insurance to kick in - which it didn't. Two months later we were sent a picture of their shiny new disclaimer sign, which wasn't there in August. They have insulted our intelligence every step of the way, which I blame on the owners, not Reception, who were as helpful as they could be. What started out as a good Travelzoo deal cost us dearly financially, through no fault of our own. It also caused us great distress (we had only bought the car 2 months previously) and ruined our first 'holiday' in 2020. The two stars awarded are one to Reception and one because the apartment was nice and it was clean.
I almost don't need to write a review as we had almost a carbon copy experience Becky R did further down the reviews. Initially put in room 311 – lift not working, room small, oddly shaped - double bed pushed up against the wall so could only access from one side in a very tight room, strange small waiting room type lounge and no blinds – looking straight over building works and a cherry picker) not particularly inviting and felt very cramped and looked over. moved to room 404 – ground floor, lovely apartment, nice lounge/kitchen, comfy bed absolutely no complaints and really enjoyed our stay – at that point felt on the money for what we paid. Was school holidays but the level of kids shouting and screaming was atrocious - one kid (and we aren't taking babies) was screaming and shouting for over an hour on a off (apparently he didn't want a shower, lots of shouting door slamming etc can't blame the hotel for inconsiderate, self-absorbed parents). However, the lack of sound deadening and soft door closures did seem to make the problem worse. We also didn't get to use the pool (which looked nice) as it was already fully booked for both days of our stay when we arrived (they are doing a 45 min single group reservation process due to Covid) somewhat annoying and worth booking a slot beforehand if you want to use the pool. On the good side – parking very handy and its ideally placed to the centre and staff all very pleasant and helpful and put us in different room no fuss.
These apartments are modern and stylish (no chintz or ratty old florals in sight). Our apartment was clean and warm and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well- equipped and sufficient for a short stay and the supermarkets, pier and town were a few minutes walk. There is also a park across the road. The pool was also lovely and the time-slot booking system meant we had it to ourselves which was great. All in all it was very good value and suited us for a stay with two small children. We would definitely stay here again. Just a couple of things to note: Firstly, it can be a bit noisy (banging doors and people moving around above). This is not unusual for apartments but if you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for rooms on the top floor. Secondly, there's not much storage or hanging space. This isn't a big problem if you're only there for a day or two and we mentioned it to the staff so hopefully this will be rectified.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to allow us to explore the local area and visit local attractions and for that reason the Hy Hotel seemed a good choice. Externally this property looks promising and the location and parking is good although we did awake to find our parking space also doubled as a bin store. Initially we were allocated room 311 and told it was at the top of the property. We soon discovered the lift was out of order but were offered no assistance with our suitcases. On arrival at room 311 we found the blinds broken and cords snapped and so the room was dark and the blinds unable to be used. A broken hook was left with the screws in on the tiny dining table. The “sofa” was so uncomfortable and it felt like you were in a waiting room. The whole place smelled damp and the when lifting the blinds to see what was on the other side you have to question whether this was why it had been broken as we overlooked unfinished apartments and general building rubbish. My husband went to reception and asked if they had any other available rooms. To our surprise they had a large ground floor apartment free which overlooked the park in block 4 which they instantly swapped us into. I am unsure why you would not allocate this from the start and can only assume it was due to our booking being through a Travelzoo deal. The second apartment whilst appearing much better had its own issues but was a vast improvement on the first. There was more space, comfier seating and at least we could shut the curtains and blinds. However this is not five star accommodation. The finish is appalling and the logic behind the interior design confusing and impractical. Why have a mirror adjacent to a dressing table so that you have to sit sideways?! Wall lights that look similar but don't match with different style and colour bulbs. A bathroom shelf that fills with water and doesn't drain. A kitchen with washing up liquid but no cloth to clean with. No tea or coffee. Towels that smell damp and furniture covered in dust. A stench of drains in the bathroom. Tv cables dangling from wall mounted TVs. The biggest annoyance was the doors throughout the building. None are sealed well or have soft close fixtures and so the banging of doors resonates through the building. The droughts blowing under gaps in the door make it very chilly and you can hear literally every word as people walk through the hallway. For all of these reasons we would not stay here again. The staff at the Hy Hotel however are polite and obliging and the pool was lovely. The booking system was great and worked well. The location is good for St Anne's and Blackpool and traffic noise is surprisingly minimal.
Booked with Travelzoo offer: 2 nights for £99. Hotel had only opened a month previously, so they were still ironing out the kinks, but the staff were friendly and eager to please. Stayed in a king room on the ground floor with a “park view” (see photos) room 203. Nicely kitted out, the apartment took a long while to warm up, but got there in the end. Breakfast hamper was generous. Starbucks coffee for breakfast from reception was a nice touch. Aldi is just across the road, and there is a Sainsbury's and M&S Food within short walking distance too. We ate at the nearby Seafarers Restaurant using 2 for 1 Meerkat Meals and it was easily the best fish we've ever eaten in the UK! The Island Cinema is a short walk away and brilliant value for money. The hotel pool, sauna and jacuzzi were great. Didn't use the gym but it looked well equipped. Wonderful walks along the coastline, even in January! Had a pleasant couple of days and nights at the Hy Hotel.
Hotel stay bought on travelzoo, excellent value for money. Booked a king one bedroom apartment and was given a two bed apartment which was a nice surprise providing more space. Property clean, modern, tv in each room and in a great location to the town centre with plenty of walking routes nearby including a park across the road and pier round the corner. The on site spa looked lovely but the pool temperature was too cold therefore closed which was disappointing. A free Starbucks hot drink was a nice touch too. Great for families, groups of friends etc and your dog can go along too!
We booked at the beginning of the week for a half term family night away. Arrived early and was able to check in before the allotted time. First room we were shown didn't have enough beds for all of us. The 2nd room did :-) We stayed in a 2 bed apartment - the communal areas were still ‘work in progress' unfinished, open doors, cement covered hallways. The apartment itself was well thought out, some finishing touches needed but it had all the equipment we needed. We visited the pool - again a great facility. Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool. Great showers too. We were annoyed by the fact that we could have booked on the day for more than half the price (which was more than £100) and for a larger 3 bed apartment. So if you are able to book on the day it makes sense to wait! A good apartment hotel - just needs a few finishing touches.
Booked a family room for 1 night Reception really welcoming and showed us to our room Room was actually a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, spotless and new with lovely towels and bedding Wi-fi and flat screen TVs - really well appointed Great swimming pool area too Checked out and was nice to see the owner taking time to speak to guests (and get us coffee) get feedback and discuss future plans Would definitely stay here again
Fantastic 2 bed apartment, both bedrooms en-suite. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful comfy bed. Great bed linen and lovely white big fluffy towels. Kitchen has everything expected. Pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub, all spotlessly clean, loved it. Cannot fault anything, Fabulous.
Just had two nights at the HY. We had a 2 bed apartment on the 1st floor with a lovely bay window over looking Ashton Gardens. The apartment was very comfortable, warm and clean with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Plenty of parking. The pool with steam room and sauna were a real bonus. Continental breakfast was delivered to your room in a basket, with plenty of cereal, croissants, waffles, fruit juice and milk....Plenty! Very pleasant stay
This is a newly refurbished hotel, owned by Best Western according to the sign outside. First impressions were positive, a warm welcome and clear directions to our room. We had to go back outside to access the rooms but that was ok. Rooms were warm and well equipped. I don't know if the star ratings are different for apart hotels, they claim a 5 star rating, but I'd say it's more of a 4 star experience, realistically. The leisure facilities were lovely, the only slight inconvenience was having to take your towels down from your room to use the pool. As there were no spare towels in the room, this meant we had to reuse our swimming towels which was a little unhygienic. Location is excellent, a 2 minute walk to the beach, pier and high street. The staff were very friendly and they helped to make our stay an enjoyable and comfortable one. A special mention to Jason who was very helpful. To anyone looking for a nice aparthotel in this area, choose this one, it's got everything you need, in a great location.
Fantastic apartment with everything you can think of supplied. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel also has a pool and fitness suite. It's handy for the beach and all amenities, a great base for exploring Lytham, St Annes and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again.
Very stylish aparthotel, will definitely be going back. Great service, And lovely staff. The pool facilities were excellent, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a steam room. Everything in the apartment was of a very high standard. A lovely stay.
Stayed for the weekend with two friends and loved it! The apartment was beautifully decorated and massive and the bed was so comfy. Great location and the spa really topped it off. Thoroughly recommend!
We stayed at HY last weekend and the apartment was perfect. So much bigger than we thought and the decor is amazing! Can't wait to come back soon. Within walking distance of shops and bars. And Starbucks coffee downstairs!
Such a beautiful place, very friendly staff, great facilities and the decor is beautiful. The apartments are spacious, decorated to a very high standard, lots of lovely features throughout. The location is perfect, very central to St Annes. Highly recommend!
Just a short stay with family and found it very comfortable, practical and tastefully decorated. Perfectly located as only a really short walk to St Anne's centre, pier and the beach. Only a little suggestion I would make is perhaps hooks on the back of doors to help with storage, other than that had everything you need for a lovely break away.
