« Spacious and Very Comfortable »

My husband & I stayed here for one night in November. The reception staff were friendly & very helpful. The room was clean, large & very spacious with modern furniture & fittings. Breakfast was the usual self service with yoghurt, cereals, breads, continental & full English. All presented well & hot. Surroundings & gardens lovely. Facilities included a swimming pool & gym & free wifi. Would recommend as an overall great stay.

    « Hungry! Hungry! Hungry! »

Hotel is nice enough, rooms are comfortable and spacious. However, here on a Saturday night to be told that the restaurant is full and they are too busy to provide room service. It would seem we are going to go hungry unless we travel to Louth itself which is a few miles away. Very disappointing service.

« Excellent service and food »

Very pleasant and friendly receptionist when I rang to book a meal. Greeted by name on arrival. Very welcoming staff. Food excellent and reasonable prices. Very nice surroundings. The seafood risotto was exceptional for my starter. Short crust pastry beef and mushroom pie was delicious for main with home made chips and peas and a good quantity of very tasty gravey. Too full for pudding. Worth going and I will go again.

    « 70th Birthday Celebration »

We decided to hold my Mum's 70th birthday celebration at Kenwick. We booked an 8 berth Lodge for our overnight stay for some friends and family, and other friends booked to stay in the hotel rooms. There was to be 22 of us altogether and we booked to eat in the hotel restaurant. I was anxious as it was a surprise for my Mum, but I couldn't have asked for the whole evening to go any more perfectly! We asked to check in a little earlier so we could decorate the lodge, no problem at all! The Retreat Lodge (No.3) was immaculately clean and gorgeous. We were very impressed. We then asked to decorate the table in the hotel restaurant that afternoon..again no problem at all. Due to the size of our party, we had been put in the side room adjoining the restaurant. The large table was already set beautifully when we got there, the staff were so helpful, finding a cake stand to present the cake on. The evening went brilliantly. All staff were polite, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The food was absolutely gorgeous...we chose from the set menu at £26 a head. The service was prompt and friendly. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. The whole evening was perfect! In the morning, some of our friends that had stayed in the hotel praised their rooms and the lovely breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel and lodge accommodation for a large celebration.

    « Fantastic Facilities »

Stayed here for 1 night en-route to Hull for business Hotel is exceptional, staff very professional. The gym facilities are exceptional. I was lucky enough to have a 'normal' room, imagine my surprise when it included a king size four poster bed! High-speed wifi was bullet proof during my stay. Breakfast was lovely and set me up for the day

    « Fantastic »

We really did not know what expect as 3 couples all celebrating our 50th birthdays. The receptionist was so helpful and welcoming and lodge 73 was outstanding as soon as we opened the door. It was wow!! Very clean, spacious, warm and cosy. 2 double bedrooms with en suites which were top spec then a family room with a family bathroom. Thel lounge and kitchenette was huge. Tv and ipad with games and dvds to use. We were in the woods but we got a takeaway delivered which was excellent. We were given a day pass each to the new 4.5 million pound spa and health club which was breathtaking, it was such a pleasure to go there and swim, go in the spa, sauna and outside pool...awesome!! We all said it was superb, and a fab 3 night break. Thank you.

    « Spa weekend »

Myself and 3 lovely ladies have just returned from a spa weekend. Wow, the spa facilities were amazing, after the refurbishment. Beautiful pool and poolside facilities. Lovely steam and sauna , footbaths, ice room and warm room. Only 2 small moans. Sadly only 4 poolside loungers which was nowhere near enough, and no hooks to hang your robes/towels. The staff in the spa were great and we were truly pampered. We stayed in a cabin which was just lovely. The food was amazing especially the beef. Breakfast sadly no eggs, waiting for bacon and sausages and although we asked twice we never got any croissants. On the whole fabulous

    « Leisure break »

This was our first visit to this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was good and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The new health spa is amazing. The hotel is in a quiet rural location but only a five minute drive from Louth. A car is essential to get around this part of Lincolnshire. I'm sure we will return.

    « Wedding »

Nice hotel . Well priced meal for two and lovely. I had fish and it was lightly battered and really fresh. Leisure facilities are excellent. Looking forward to wedding tomorrow. Will update on breakfast etc Free parking. Ipod player a nice touch.

    « repeat visit »

Once again we have enjoyed our stay at Kenwick Park The golf course was having some maintenance work done but we had been aware of that prior to visit. This did not spoil our enjoyment in spite of the inclement weather excellent leisure facilities only problem was in not being able to use when we arrived early unlike other hotels we have been allowed to use leisure facilities prior to our check in time But once 3pm arrived we enjoyed all the facilities Normally we go out of the hotel for our evening meal on this occasion we were staying D B and B and what a delightful experience that was Excellent food and service we shall definitely eat in the hotel in the future

    « FAILED/Cancelled »

Booked here for a spa day online for a friend and myself. The website took me to Treatwell.Co.UK booked and paid ONLY to get a phone call the following morning to say the package I'd booked wasn't available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. BIG disappointment. I'm very angry now to have to start looking again. Shame on you Kenwick for not being able to get your details on your website correct!!!

    « Stunning »

I stayed here during a business trip. This is a fabulous hotel with stunning grounds and facilities. The rooms were clean and extremely well presented. Staff were very helpful. The restaurant food is of really good quality. Whether you are staying for business or pleasure I would definitely recommend this hotel

« The cabins are great »

The kenwick park hotel is 5 mins drive away from the Louth city centre. There is two restaurants one a la carte and the other is pub grub. Great place. They pool is open all day and spa has all the treatments you may desire. The walk from the hotel back to the cabins can be scary at night LOL

    « Lovely stay »

I stayed at the hotel as part of a golf package. The hotel was great. Friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The bar was well stocked and our 3 course meal was beautiful. The room was much larger than we expected and was clean and well kept. The onsite spa facilities were modern, clean and friendly, a must visit. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the staff who made our weekend a memorable one.

    « Superb spa experience »

If you book the personalised 2 hour spa experience, ask for Zoe from Selby. I've been to a few spas and have always found something that could have been better! Well no complaints this time, I wasn't left alone 'to relax while my mask works into my skin' but had a wonderful head and hand massage instead. I had had an operation on my foot but this was no problem for my therapist and she was very caring and solicitous, making sure I was comfortable at all times. Would thoroughly recommend. We were a group of friends celebrating a 60th birthday and stayed in one of the lodges. You really need a car as we were the furthest lodge from the hotel, unless you are all fit and able! The hotel provided a courtesy mini bus to take us up, and bring us back, to the hotel for dinner. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

« Calm, Quiet and another relaxing weekend »

We have just returned from another great stay at Kenwick Lodges. We travelled with friends and stayed in a 3 bed lodge with two bathrooms. The lodges are of great size and are secluded into the woods. We had a few issues with the cleanliness of the lodge but this was sorted in a polite and helpful manner and we cannot fault the staff. Our partners had a round of golf and we had a lovely Afternoon tea. Previously we have used the spa etc and were pleased with the treatments we had. You do have to drive to reception and spa if staying in lodges as it is too far to walk and down a very bumpy road which is not lit at night. We went into Louth for dinner on the Saturday night and ordered a taxi.(Deanos of Louth) When it turned up the driver was very helpful and helped us all in and then turned on the music and disco lights. It was amazing. The charge was really reasonable and he was on time on both routes. I would recommend this retreat with you want a relaxing, quiet time away all year around.

    « Superb Place »

Went here for a wedding, the place is lovely, the grounds are lovely and so too are the staff, very polite, professional and quick to serve. Drinks were reasonably priced (not cheap but not over the top) the whole day went well and the evening entertainment was fantastic, a live band who played all the right music for the party to keep dancing. The food was something special, everything cooked nicely, good portions and everything was hot. A great venue, well worth a weekend stay, nice spa facilities and the golf I understand is good too.

    « Enjoyable break »

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hotel. Our room was lovely, decent size. We booked half board and the set menu was great and very tasty. The breakfast was also lovely with a choice of English Breakfast, continental with also a choice of cereals, fruit salad. The new leisure facilities were brilliant, such a relaxing environment. There was a gym, a swimming pool, outdoor hydrotherapy pool (a bit like a rectangular hot tub), spa pool (jacuzzi). You could also choose from a steam room, ice room, Sauna, foot spa and many more. There is also a golf course, and if you did not want to stay at the hotel itself, they do have lodges. This hotel feels more like a 4 star hotel than a 3 star. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we both had a pleasant stay.

    « Wedding Hotel Stay »

Stayed here after my Daughter's Wedding. Had a family room with my partner and I with my youngest Son. We were on the ground floor and had a view of a grass slope up to a path. Had all the creature comforts apart from Air Conditioning. Comfy double which we had a decent night's sleep in. It was pricey even with a discount but nothing else to complain about.

« Good venue for a wedding in this area »

Whilst I had initial problems getting in touch with the venue (they did not respond to my email) once I phoned things were easily sorted. I found the check in time of 3pm late compared to other hotels but then they did offer a later check out time of 11am. They were very good at letting me check in early which meant I could have a shower and get ready for the wedding I was attending. I was not particularly looking forward to the food as my experience of mass catering at such venues has not been been great but on the whole I was impressed. The room was very nice although little details need attending to, e.g., the light for the mirror in the bathroom did not work, there was a gap between the tiles and the bath resulting in a slight smell of damp. Overall a good place to stay and the added benefit of using the leisure facilities (which I did not have time to use) was a bonus. I think that it is a good place for a wedding although they could have done better tidying up the room prior to the evening do - perhaps ask people to vacate the room for 1 hour would have been a good idea.

    « Mr Younger »

very nice, staff were helpful, the hotel was very clean. no air con in our room 307 big 4 post bed and the room had lots of space, could not view tv from bed as drapes around the bed but good views from windows and had to have both windows opened to keep cool so lovely, the new pool and spar is one of the best i'v have ever used. short drive to town centre and if a golfer then you are next to the golf club. will stay again.

Stayed in Lodge 60 - We booked late but we were accommodated in a fantastic dog friendly lodge located next to woodland walk on the park. The lodge was very well equipped and very spacious. The setting was beautiful and private with other lodges a good distance away. The facilities at the Club Spa are top notch and we will definitely be returning here. We brought our 2 dogs who had a brilliant time. Staff at the hotel and the spa were very friendly.

    « Online booking disappointment. »

Whilst I only live local, having stayed here before and enjoyed my stay with friends, I felt it was the perfect place to just get away from it all for a night. Just wanted some quiet time. I decided to book a last minute room online through the Best Western website, quite late in the evening. On arrival at the hotel the night porter advised me that all the rooms were taken and I did not have a booking. I was very disappointed but he kindly passed on my complaint to reservations. Both the porter and Amy were very helpful, empathetic and an asset to Best Western. Sadly though the booking system let me down. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the food is excellent. Staff are professional and polite and if you manage to get a room you won't be disappointed. They also have state of the art health spa facilities. Get your act together Best Western your administration system is letting this lovely hotel and it's staff down. It is embarrassing for team members to be put in that position. I am very polite but some people may have been very angry and confrontational in such a situation. Be honest with yourselves, if your online system is letting your customers down do something about it, don't blame the hotel staff and at least offer a compensatory drink should your dissatisfied customers ever return. Had I been able to stay this review would have been 4 stars so to avoid disappointment if you book online follow it up with a call to the hotel, they can reassure you all is well. A pleasant experience will await you.

    « Refreshing break - nearly excellent! »

Cosy, clean woodland lodges, good service and top of the range spa facilities. This hotel and spa has the potential to be excellent but felt the small details were overlooked. I'd have certainly given 5* with the following suggestions: Poolside hooks for towels; Streamline look is preferable, I guess, and looks great when the pool/spa is empty but by the time we got there in the afternoon there were piles and piles of robes and towels festooning the poolside. This resulted in someone else picking up my robe as mistaking it for their own, and we were reminded by staff there would be a fine/charge for not returning our robes and towels! It'd be a lot easier for guests if there were some hooks or rails. The same would be helpful in the changing facilities. Disposable cups for water; there's a water filter/fountain in the pool area but it dispenses the water very slowly and is quite difficult to drink from, resulting in queues of people. Providing cups (and a bin) would, in my opinion, be a sensible option. Soya or dairy alternative milk option, especially at breakfast; we asked for this but there was none on site. It's not the 1980s Over all, great facility with good hygiene standards and (mostly) friendly staff.

    « A lovely place to unwind »

An hotel with excellent facilities, although we didn't use them, others in our family were very impressed. I will make sure that I take my golf clubs next time! The breakfast was OK however the breakfast could be improved, as often happens when bacon and fried eggs are kept warm in chafing dishes, the bacon was either very dry or very soggy and the fried eggs tended to be over-cooked.

    « Disappointing »

We stayed in Lodge 75 for two night while attending a family wedding in the area . We were staying with our son. His wife and our 22 month old grandson .When booking we had asked for a cot .A few days before our stay we phoned to check our reservation and to check there was a cot . On arrival no cot was evident .But upon a search we found a travel cot at the back of a cupboard in the hall .So we set to erecting it .This was when we found the cot was damaged. The plastic base looked as if it had been melted so would not stay flat so it was impossible, to lay the mattress base on top .On inspection the mattress base was very stained and very unpleasant .Also there was no bedding for the cot .We phoned reception and they told us that bedding was not provided for cots.It would have been helpful to have been told this when booking ,or even have it on our paperwork, but as this was not the case we had nothing with us to use .When we explained the situation and the state of the cot ,the receptionist arranged a replacement cot and also some bedsheets for us to fold up to use in the cot . The lodge felt as if it could do with updating ,furniture looked tired .Dirty utensils and dishes had been put away in the kitchen so all had to be washed before we were able to use them . Beds mattresses were very hard and beds very creeky.. The lodge is not well sound insulated and you are aware of every sound from each room . Talking to staff we were given the impression that the lodges are of various standards .We felt for what we had paid it did not come up to standards expected . A real shame as we are often in the area visiting family and might have chosen to stay again ,but probably not after this experience . Having said this the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful .

We were very impressed with this huge modern lodge. Three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious open plan lounge, kitchen, diner. In a beautiful woodland setting, heavenly to sit out on the verandah and listen to the birds. The hotel and pool are situated quite a long distance from the lodges. The leisure facilities were spotlessly clean and very modern. We used the pool and the steam room then the café. Lovely fluffy white towels provided and a warm welcome from both hotel and leisure staff. We drove to Saltfleet for the dog friendly beach, Louth for shopping and eating out. Tip: take a good map! The lodges are not within walking distance of anything really but woodland. I do feel we had good value for money however I really didn't feel it was family friendly. It was a creating your own fun sort of holiday. Not only was there no WiFi we also couldn't get any mobile connection and were unable to contact family at home from the lodge. I was constantly trying to keep my noisy 8 year old quiet as the lodge park itself was silent (even on Bank Holiday week!) The pool is more of a spa type with lanes and a small area for children. The whole hotel and lodge park seems designed for middle and upper class golfers and ladies on spa days. No children's play areas. I would think this more suited to couples and business trips. Beautiful but not for families.

    « Be prepared! »

We stayed at lodge 30. We have stayed at many hoseasons lodges before but this is the first where you have to spend the first 3 hours cleaning the bedroom. The walls are timber as you would expect what you would not expect is your clothes being coated in dust as you brush past to get into bed. My wife runs a cleaning company and so with knowledge commented that it is at least a years worth. I actually wrote my name on the side table. The bathroom was clean but every other surface was filthy. It took my wife until 2a.m to clean the filthy walls and rancid carpet before we could attempt some sleep. The verandah around the building is covered in cobwebs all the way round as though no one has lived there for years. Do not spend your hard earned money on this.

« First Class Hotel. exceptional staff »

Stayed 1 night for wedding anniversary, booked superior room, room 306 which had a 4 poster bed, en suite the size of a small hotel room, very well furnished, views out over the golf course, room located directly above restaurant used for the evening meal and has the same square footage of the restaurant On arrival we had a sharing sea food platter at the conservatory bar (see photo) the quality and quantity of the freshly prepared food was exceptional the price of £9.95 is very good for quantity Booked dinner bed and breakfast, could not find menus prior to visiting have attached photos of conservatory bar and restaurant menu and the menu of the day, we were allowed to mix and match from both menus for our very good 3 course meal, accompanied by a very good large glass of house red, fresh jug of ice water on table refreshed as required through meal waiting staff very personable and happy to help breakfast was outstanding, full English, cereals, yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit juice as a self service buffet in conservatory Guests can use the new spa from check in at 1500hrs to 1000hrs the following day, good range of facilities in the spa, unlike most spa resorts we have been in before children are allowed in to use the pool (not allowed in sauna, steam room etc.) there is a spa lounge which serves cream teas, afternoon teas etc. as a new facility very welcoming, lockers provided the best we have seen for hanging clothes no money required you set your own 4 Dijet code, 2 towels provided a small one to sit on in sauna or tepiderium hotel has very good signage in the hotel making it very easy to find your way around if first time of visiting we were so impressed with the hotel booked to return in November

    « Pleasant golf break »

Had booked in for weekend golf break but the monsoon rains put a halt to the Saturday afternoon round. Not to worry - spent a pleasant 3 hours utilising the spa facilities. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Sunday morning round of golf was very pleasant on a very inviting and interesting course. All round was excellent value and enjoyable break.

    « Golf trip »

Just got back from a golf trip to kenwick park and Best western hotel .The golf course was excellent vut the hotel was terrible .On the main the staff were fantastic but yhere was 1 male member of staff in the dining room was so rude .The food was terrible both breatfast and evening meal .The veg was raw the roast tates were has hard as rock .When we complained nothing was done

    « Sister wedding »

Fantastic place for a wedding fantastic service from start to finsh staff brilliant food delicious perfect rooms ready on arrival nothing was to much trouble new spa now open woukd recommened to any one

    « Spa day »

Were sent special offers after we had booked and paid for spa day! Facilities good but only four loungers round pool, needless to say with towels on. No where to hang towels when in pool. People saving places in various rooms by leaving towels and glasses on seats. Food excellent. Treatments also excellent. No feed back available either verbally or by email.

« A very pleasant stay and would go again; will not be disappointed »

A great place with exceptional views and hotel superb. Restaurant menu needs an overhaul as food very poorly cooked; tasteless and boring. The staff helpful in restaurant but needs a bit more training. I would absolutely stay again but would prefer to eat out.

« Nice setting shame about the details »

Imagine sitting on the patio with a good pint and watching the swifts flying in and out feeding their young. This hotel is set in lovely grounds bordering the golf course. However,on arrival there were no toiletries in the room,no soap, shower gel or shampoo. Next day we returned to our room only to find no towels. This was reported to reception who asked "which towels do you want". She later saw me in the bar with a cappuccino in one hand and a cold drink in the other. She asked " do want your towels now", she eventually placed them in our room. The food is ok but the staff are somewhat inexperienced but friendly, one asking me do I put chocolate on the cappuccino. We probably won't return sorry.

    « Spa day »

What a wonderful day I had at Kenwick Park, Louth. The service the treatments and the food were all excellent. Well done to you all. A big thank you to Lauren for her service and Nikki for her beautiful professional treatments.

    « Beautiful and peaceful »

We went over the August bank holiday. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with stunning scenery. Stayed in room 305 which was immaculate and over looked the golf course. The spa and pool area were very relaxing and very clean. The food in the hotel was faultless as were the staff. We would highly recommend this hotel. Couldn't find any faults. Definitely going back next year.

    « perfect trip »

we have just arrived back from a perfect stay at this hotel. We have no complaints the golf was superb great well managed course The spa and leisure center was the best we have experienced spotlessly clean friendly helpful staff which will ensure we make a return trip very soon Excellent breakfast a lovely comfortable room cheerful and bright if there had been a menu for the dining room on line we would have preferred to eat in.Maybe this could be addressed WE SHALL CERTAINLY RETURN A ND RECCOMEND

    « Room 301 »

Awful nite rest it's like sleeping in indoor fridge very annoyed very frustrated I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else who wants to have a nice weekend we should sort it out soundproofing just deal with this issue it'sterrible for them out of money you pay to stay herebut the gentleman was very nice and you need me to 209 which I had a great

« Excellent golf and spa facilites »

We booked this hotel for 2 golfers and 2 non golfers, through GolfBreaks. Had an excellent time, golf was good (lovely mature course) spa excellent (brand new with excellent facilites), rooms spacious, clean and well furnished. The inclusive meals, breakfast and evening meal, were excellent, could not fault our break at all. Staff were accommodating, pleasant and efficient.

    « Great refurb »

Came for a spa day. The refurb is lovely. Very clean and warm looking. Could do with a few more plants etc and there needs to be the timers in the saunas and steam rooms. Other than that it was great. The afternoon tea was lovely, best brownie I've ever tasted and my massage was great. Really enjoyed myself and will be coming back.

    « iLodge Ultra - Very good »

We stayed in the iLodge ultra as part of a long weekend golfing in the area. The iLodge was first class, high spec and had everything that we needed. There are 5 bedrooms (mix of doubles and twins, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen with all appliances required. There are two lounges, one downstairs as part of a large open plan kitchen, diner, lounge area and one upstair along with a pool table (proper one!), table football and poker table. Lots of smart gadgets all over the place. Only drawback for us was the wifi was very poor, this was reported to the hotel but nothing done about it. I would certainly recommend this but if wifi was required want some assurances that it was working as well as the rest of this great property. The hotel was a little tired, I can only comment on reception, bar and restaurant but all were old fashioned and in need of a spruce up. The golf course was excellent, well kept and a decent challenge.

    « Spa get away »

This hotel is ideally located for the airport and people who like to shop. The hotel staff were all very attentive and the restraint staff were exemplary. The room was small and needed updating. The tiles were cracked in the bathroom in several places. The bed was firm and the pillows all feather. However due to my husbands allergy the staff replaced them all very quickly. Parking facilities are excellent. The spa was lovely with good facilities we enjoyed the pool particularly. We had a treatment which was relaxing and the staff were very professional and friendly. Overall a relaxing stay and good value for money.

    « Afternoon tea »

I visited with friends for afternoon tea. The staff were really helpful and accommodated us even though we hadn't booked and they had a large wedding. The food was beautifully presented and more than enough. The views over looking the grounds were lovely and staff ensured that we were looked after throughout our visit.

    « golf break »

Very good check in, lovely staff. Straight off to golf, again nice staff in pro shop and very helpful. After playing golf got key for room and it was lovely, walk in shower and views over the golf course (room 305) with 4 poster bed. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was very good too. A help yourself buffet at breakfast with lots of choice. Sat nav took us to the wrong place but a quick call to the hotel established where we had gone wrong and quickly located them. Golf course was beautiful, some lovely holes and in good condition. All in all a great break and would return.

« Lodge accommodation could be better. »

Came here to celebrate a friend's wedding and had a lovely time. However we were staying in lodge 75 and there is some room for improvement. We had family staying in the lodge next door which was fitted out to a much higher standard. Lodge 75 was somewhat tired and the bunk beds were extremely lumpy to the extent that my children had to lie on their duvet to make it comfortable. The bedding could do with replacing generally. On the plus side the jacuzzi bath was nice and the accommodation was spacious. The setting is also beautiful. There was wifi and Sky TV in the lodge too. The patio door wouldn't close upon our arrival, staff were quick to remedy this problem and it was promptly fixed.

    « Beautiful »

We attended a wedding here and stayed in the hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, arranging us an early check in so we had time to get ready before the ceremony. The location is beautiful and the food served at the wedding really very good - probably one of the best wedding buffets I've eaten. We paid the "wedding rate" for the room but even at the standard room rate it would have been excellent value.

    « Great staff »

I stayed at this lovely place one week, and would love to come back. My stay was last week July. I was welcomed by Amy at the reception. Very friendly, helpful and nice. My room was okay, and the hotel looked nice. There is a golf course next door, spa at the hotel, good parking just outside, and lots of great English nature all around. It is also close to the town Louth, and a taxi to the center of town would only take a few minutes. The hotel also have a very good kitchen. I had most of my meals at the hotel, and I was impressed. I know that this is not a five star hotel, but I will give five stars because of their great staff. They were all professional, helpful and friendly. They all made me feel at home, so Emma, Sophie, Amy, and all the rest of you: Thanks for makeing my stay there such a nice one.

    « A plesant stay in Louth »

A great place to stay for a relaxing environment. The leisure facilities at this hotel are very good and the hotel is set within the grounds of a golf course, The hotel itself could do with a make over however all the staff are very polite.

    « Expensive »

Stayed overnight recently for a wedding which was great but thought £110 for the room was overpriced for what it was. The room was nothing to write home about, I've stayed in £30 a night B & B's which were as good if not better. Only one cup between two of us, shower difficult to use although there was a non slip bath mat which was useful. Bed fairly comfortable. No waiter service at breakfast, do your own toast and self serve the rest. My friend asked for poached egg on toast and got a plate with two poached eggs, no toast! By the time she did her toast, eggs were cold! Sausages were very dry. This place is ok if you are feeling rich but I'm sure there are bed and breakfast establishments nearby far better value! Shop around!

    « cherry tree lodge { fairways} »

firstly a big thank you to the lovely girl at reception very helpful indeed nothing to much trouble, but the cherry tree lodge was just brilliant great views and must be one of the largest lodges we have stayed in , will be back and big thank you.

    « Overnight Spa Break »

I was treated by my husband to their overnight Spa Break and we were very impressed. The spa facilities are the best I think I've ever been too and the whole day was very relaxing. The hotel was great too - we were in room 306 which was amazing - very spacious, 4 poster bed, good bathroom etc. Had a very nice evening meal and breakfast too. It was all very good value for money, staff were friendly and a real treat.

    « Average hotel »

Stayed on the 30th July for one night. This hotel has all the facilities which would be required but I felt it was a little outdated and needs attention to detail e.g. bathroom very old and needs a refresh. The breakfast was lovely. It is usually a busy hotel for weddings and can be noisy at times. Overall it is an adequate hotel but not great value for money.

    « Wedding & Spa visit »

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel as we were attending a wedding. Lovely setting, pretty grounds, next to the golf course with a Spa also at the back of the hotel. Staff we met were all lovely. Couldn't do enough to help. Stayed in room 302. Thought the room was a little on the small side. The room had no air conditioning so we had to request a fan from reception. Facilities in the room & en suite were great, TV, i-pod doc, hairdryer, Iron & ironing board. Bed was really comfy. Down side to this room was that it was very hot. With both windows open it was also a bit noisy as there were what may have been air con units on top of the flat roof to the left & the window facing the bed opened up onto a small walkway with a door leading from a staff area possibly leading to the bins & smoking area. I was surprised to find that the shower in the en suite was not a power shower but was one linked to the taps.On the whole though the room was decent enough. Breakfast on both mornings was lovely. Buffet & continental style with the option of upgrading your breakfast to something a bit more lavish for a small charge. The use of Spa facilities was a bonus and definitely was a highlight of the stay. The 20M pool, steam room, sauna, foot spa, Ice room & the hydrotherapy pool outside with powerful jets were just the ticket for shaking off the post wedding hangover. The wedding itself was very nice. I'm sure the photos will look beautiful as the outdoor areas were really pretty. One concern was the master of ceremonies who seemed to be in a rush to keep things moving along swiftly despite a member of the wedding party taking a turn due to the heat inside the Meridian suite. I thought this was quite poor and showed a lack of empathy, he seemed more concerned about serving dessert on time rather than the welfare of the poorly guest who was being tended to by other wedding guests. Another small complaint is when we went to check out we were advised one night had not been paid for despite receiving confirmation that payment had been received in full & with thanks. We were asked if we had a copy of our bank statement to hand which of course we didn't as the room had been booked & paid for by the mother in-law. On the whole, a nice place to visit and the free wifi was good too :o)

« Fantastic wedding at Kenwick park hotel & clubspa »

We've just returned from our wedding at Kenwick park, which we've been planning in conjunction with kenwicks amazing team for nearly a year. We couldn't of asked for anymore, the venue is stunning, and everyone from each department went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Their were 80 plus guests for the daytime and we lost track of how many in the evening, but the staff in the kitchen and on f&b coped brilliantly, making sure everyone was happy at all times. The bridal suite was amazing, a huge spacious room, with a large modern bathroom and stunning views from the large sash Windows. The food was amazing, from the canapés to the wedding meal and the evening hot and cold buffet, we really could of hoped for anything more. The new clubspa is stunning, un-equaled by anything else in the area, and made for a great wind-down spa day post-wedding! All in all we cannot thank or recommend the Kenwick team enough, they go above and beyond to make sure the day is perfect.

    « Nice friendly hotel »

Only popped in for coffee but the setting overlooking the golf course is stunning. A gentle relaxed atmosphere sitting in the lounge area enjoying coffee and beautiful homemade cake. Fantastic. Worth a visit.

    « Flying visit »

We stayed here as a base for attending a wedding celebration about 10 miles away. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful on arrival - we needed to check in quickly as we were under a bit of time pressure to get to the event. Set in lovely grounds next to a golf course and there were very pleasant views from the restaurant. Breakfast average (but could have been a bit hotter). We liked that the tables were a good size so you were not constantly having to juggle everything round to stop things falling off. Room was spacious and clean, albeit a little tired (scruffy sealant around bath/shower panels). Very odd that when turning on the cold tap in the hand-basin hot water came out for about 10 seconds. Bed comfortable.

    « Lovely spa day »

Treated my mum to mini spa break and both thoroughly enjoyed the treatments and lovely lunch made up of sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea ! Delicious. Spent time in the main pool and spa area, very relaxing and staff & guests were super friendly. Will definitely go again.

    « Lodge stay »

Stayed here for 2 night weekend with family and had a great time. The leisure facilities were still being upgraded when we stayed so no swimming pool etc but this did not detract from a lovely weekend. The lodge we had was at the end of a row so plenty of room for 2 cars. The lodge itself had 3 bedrooms and it was huge, plenty of space for 5 people and a dog! Had everything we needed for a girly weekend - tv/ dvd, large verandha with table and chairs etc. Walked the dog around the site on the trails which were good even when muddy. Only 5-10 minute drive into Louth for shops etc but area itself is nice and quiet. Would definitely go back here now the leisure facilities are re-opened.

    « Tired Hotel »

New stunning spa and fantastic quality golf course with lovely clubhouse. Now just need to Spen some money on the hotel especially the bedrooms. Very tired to say the least. Food average. Nice surroundings

« Beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. »

Had a wonderful time. Very clean, efficient, helpful staff and lovely food. Beautiful surroundings. Very good conference facilities. Spa is amazing - lovely outdoor hydrotherapy pool. Ice room, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, pool, gym.

    « replacement leisure facilities »

made very welcome again at Kenwick Park Hotel, considering it is a "mature" building, rooms are clean and comfortable. The replacement leisure facilities now open and much improved, something to suit everyone.

    « Golf Break »

Booked a golf break at the hotel and adjoining Keswick Park Golf Club for 4 couples. For some reason, maybe a wedding party ,but we were accommodated in 2 log cabins on the hotel site. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise and thoroughly enjoyed by all. We ate in the hotel for the evening meal and breakfast. Both meals were of excellent quality and we were attended by friendly attentative staff. The main reason for attending the venue was for 2 rounds of golf. What an absolute gem of a golf course . Will definitely recommend it to friends for either a weekend or a day trip. The club house is extremely welcoming and the menu extensive , great value and of a very high standard. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

    « Birthday Break »

We stayed in this hotel last year & decided to come again this year. Due to my husbands disabilities we booked a downstairs family room as the curved stairs are too difficult for him.We very much recommend this hotel however we were disappointed to find out that you can't use the brand new leisure complex after 10am on the day of departure, check-out is 11. The new complex is amazing, with pool and various water features. My daughter & I had a massage and were able to go in the relaxation room. I'll definitely be back to use the spa and the hotel again.

    « Golf break »

Just got back from a two night stay at the wonderful kenwick park hotel, everything and I mean everything was first class. Breakfast, dinner, room, staff, service, course you name it. We will definitely be coming back!!

    « good hotel »

hotel facilities were good but nearest town, Louth is about two miles away on a busy main road so you need a car. no restaurants, places of interest or facilities close to the hotel. some building work going on within the grounds so sometimes difficult to get out of the drive, though this should be completed soon. adjoining golf course is well used and hotel seemed popular for golfing weekends.

    « Wedding party »

A charming hotel. Friendly staff and quick check in. The hotel offers golf are spa facilities and is set in beautiful grounds. An ideal location for a wedding ceremony and reception. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed. A hot self service breakfast is included in the room price.

« Lovely, clean but could be just a little better »

Stayed here wile at Cadwell Park. Very very clean and a huge room. Couldnt understand why the wardrobes were so massive, One side had 8 huge drawers, the other a huge wardrobe. The bathroom was incredibly large, but had no bathtub. No Bathrobes or slippers, which I thought for the price of the room, should have been supplied. One thing that amused me was that if you requred wash cloths, you had to as reception! Restaurant food was average to good. Amazed that although I chose the set menu, when it camt to dessert, I was informed that the chef had gone home! At 10pm! Come on Manager, sort your kitchen out...if there are customers in the restaurants give them the chance to order a sweet, not just scamper home! Not impressed. All in all it was an expensive stay and more should be offered for it.

I spent a full day at this venue as I had been invited to a friends wedding . The day was well organised and the food good . My only criticism was the bar quality . Most of the young staff have to learn to smile whilst serving customers . This comment was made by many others waiting to be served drinks at very expensive prices .

« Really lovely family stay. Could have been cleaner though »

We stayed in the lodges on the estate, not in the hotel. This was a really nice place to stay. We loved having lodges in the woods. I didn't organise or pay for my stay so can't comment on the cost or how easy it was to book or find help but I did have to pop into reception and would rather have not. We went to ask about a swimming pool and were made to feel very out of place and like we should have already known all the details we were asking for. The lodges were large and comfortable although not clean. I spilt water on the floor int he bathroom, when I cleaned it up it was evident the floor had wee on it that had been cleaned up. There were various stains on the carpets and the overall feel was not clean. It was particularly nice having an outside area specifically for our lodge and the ones we had were on an edge and were quite private. There were what seemed to be entrance doors into an entrance hall but they were locked and there was no key that we could find which was really inconvenient as we had to go right around the entire building to the back patio every time we wanted to go in or out which was particularly tricky when first arriving or leaving with all our luggage. The site was quiet at night which was nice but there was no feeling of having to be silent outside. The lodges are separated enough that you can comfortably chat outside without disturbing anyone else. There were woods to walk through and a golf course we took a walk around, both were lovely. We had breakfast in the hotel on the last morning and this was really nice

    « Stayed here for a wedding »

We stayed here for 1 night after attending a wedding held in the lovely grounds. The wedding and the reception was excellent the food was lovely. Nice comfortable clean room and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent too in fact everything was great would thoroughly recommend.

« Tranquil setting, wonderful staff »

We were a party of six friends sharing a lodge in the woods in order to attend a wedding at the Best Western Hotel. The lodge was spacious with three double bedrooms (one of them en-suite) and a good-sized bathroom. The open plan sitting room/kitchen was cosy with plenty of furniture and well-equipped for cooking. We loved the wrap around deck, the trees, the birdsong and the bluebells, and the absence of road noise. We could have happily spent a week there, and my young grandsons would have loved it. The receptionists at the Best Western were just the Best Staff, both during the booking process and during our stay - a real credit to their employer. A surprise bonus was the shuttle bus which ferried us back to our lodge after the wedding in the hotel. All in all, a great stay.

« Nothing too much trouble »

Just celebrated our friends wedding. I have to say the staff were amazing. Every little detail was exactly as they wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and spacious and breakfast was yummy. Would stay again.

    « A good location »

Staff and sleeping facilities were very good. Great value. The requirements state that you can pay by cash or credit card when you leave. They took payment by card 24 hours prior to leaving without telling me - I wanted to pay cash! This meant I had to claim back money from friends. The correct amount was taken. Staff were good. I felt the web site was misleading in that it suggests that the new gym was finished in early 2016 - it is not and there is a temporary gym. No toilet brush - otherwise the accommodation was spacious and very much above average. Shower leaked....

« Excellent golfing weekend in beautiful location. »

Eight of us enjoyed 2 rounds x 18 holes, dinner, breakfast and an overnight stay for £109!! Rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. Staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of parking spaces. The food was "okay", standard breakfast cuisine and okay dinner. But hey, not complaining, just stating how it was. Kenwick is a lovely hotel, in a beautiful setting and offers great value.

« utterly dissapointing saving grace was the ladies in spa »

Was given a voucher titled woodland land warmer for 2, upon trying to book was told their was a £60 fee for 2 ( not the right title for package) so we could stay in the hotel instead. Booked and got confirmation for the 12th. Upon arriving the reception told us we are booked for 13th dispite my confirmation saying 12th. Waited to see if we could stay which we were allowed. Wasn't given one sorry despite it not being our fault. Room was nice, food was nice but staff are clueless, we had to ask for everything. No one asked if we wanted a drink, if we had a table if we where okey as we waited. The prices on cocktail menu differ from the prices they charge. Seems like they've just given up until the relaunch and don't care. Was woken at 5 by the lady being sick in next bathroom and 7 45 by builders drilling near our room. Upon checking out wasn't asked if everything was OK so didn't really have chance to say. It was probably the worse spa break we have ever been on! ( the spa treatments where however great, best massage I've had) .

    « Lovely staff »

Arrived and checked in and was pleasantly surprised to see my room was what looked like a converted cottage away from the main hotel. The room itself was huge and very clean and tidy. I opted to get a bar snack instead of eating alone in the restaurant. When I enquired whether or not I could take my meal back to my room the staff were excellent and put a big metal dome over my plate to protect it from the elements and even offered to carry the tray all the way to my room! When I politely declined the offer she insisted on taking it to the main door for me as it was an old, heavy door that may have caused me to drop my tray. Little touches like that last long in the memory and make an average stay a memorable one. As someone who lives in a different hotel every night, I tend to lose track of where I am and where iv been, but this hotel certainly would be one id return to for pleasure.

« Excellent hotel, handy for Cadwell Park »

Booked for an overnight stay while working at Cadwell Park. Well appointed furnishings as befits this large hotel, my room overlooked the garden and lawns and was immaculate. The restaurant was busy and unfortunately on the evening I ate there was table d'hote, possibly because there was a wedding on in another part of the hotel and the kitchen was busy, no problem I understand these things happen, however the meal was very well presented and perfectly adequate. The bar area in the conservatory was a very pleasant place to spend the evening, I would most certainly stay here again.

« Good for Sunday Lunch! »

It was the occasion of my fathers 90th birthday and we wondered where to go that was not a huge distance from the parents home in Louth. Kenwick came up. What a good choice! Freshly-cooked, well served food and pleasant surroundings, topped off with efficient and friendly waiting staff. Well done to all!

    « A very enjoyable stay »

Stayed 4 nights (B & B) and dined 3 nights. Overall a very good and enjoyable stay. Service really was 5 star and while the evening menu lacked a little choice the food was of excellent quality, nicely presented and served expertly. The room we stayed in (305) had a four poster bed and was very specious and comfortable with ample storage space and a three seat leather suite. The bathroom was large with a lovely walk-in shower. We thought there could have been more storage and shelves for toiletries. We would certainly stay again and recommend it to our friends. Well done Kenwick Park Hotel.

    « Lovely massage »

The beauty/spa facilities are still in cabins at the moment due to the fire, so it wasn't the most relaxing experience schlepping all the way from the hotel down to the cabins in freezing cold. Having said that, our therapists were fab and the massages were excellent. Afternoon tea at the hotel wasn't great. I've been before and it's been better. Bread was a bit dry as if the sandwiches had been made in advance. Hopefully once the big refurb is over, they'll be back on form.

« Superb Hotel in Stunning Gounds »

Everything about this hotel is top notch, we had a lovely stay in a fabulous room with a huge shower room and a stunning view down the fairway. The only thing that marred this stay was that despite Best Western listing this hotel as having spa facilities there were none. It was explained that a new spa was almost complete and to compensate us the kind assistant manager gave us a voucher to return and sample the new facility, which we're very much looking forward to doing!

« Just what we needed - excellent »

We were in the area to attend a funeral, so not the best of circumstances. Kenwick Park Hotel was a lovely place to stay. Situated in very pleasant parkland/golf course, the hotel was beautifully clean & tidy, and the staff helpful and kind.We enjoyed a well cooked evening meal, and breakfast was also tasty. Were those Lincolnshire sausages? If so, that may have added to it. I thoroughly recommend the place.

    « Perfect Destination »

Enjoyed a night at this wonderful retreat. Room was as expected with plenty of 'nice' touches. Staff very friendly on arrival and was politely asked if dinner reservation was required? Even when I said No the receptionist was still very polite. Comfortable nights sleep, breakfast was served by waitress and was pleasant on the palate. Wonderful country location, golf course and spa and presently undergoing a large refurbishment so would like to go back once it is complete

    « Excellent Kenwick Park »

I have just returned from a 2 day golf break at Kenwick Park. The hotel accommodation is excellent. The food superb and the staff friendly and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The golf course was rather wet due to lots of rain prior to our visit and was closed on our third day after heavy overnight rain. We were presented with a voucher for a complimentary round of golf to make up for this. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A lovely break.

« Lovely golf break and beautiful hotel,. »

We arrived with friends for a 2 day break, we very very impressed with the hotel, it was spotlessly clean, very nicely decorated with beautiful views over the golf course. The staff has to be praised for their attention to detail, they were so friendly, and a pleasure to be around. I had the goats cheese starter, fathitas and ice cream which I have to say we're wonderful, the steaks and pork belly were equally as nice. The star of our stay had to be the cooked breakfast, wow was I surprised, an amazing plateful of food. Thank you everyone for a lovely stay and we look forward to seeing you again. ,

« Left hand, right hand! »

Stayed at this hotel recently as part of a one night, two rounds of golf offer. Arrived at venue at 10am only to be told the room would not be ready until mid afternoon. No problem as went and played golf. On our return after playing golf and visiting the clubhouse returned to our room which had the heating fully turned off. The wind chill factor meant that outside temps were 0 degrees, yet the heating had not even been turned onto low. Not a very comfortable start and costs put before the comfort of guests. A sauna and steam them seemed ideal solution. Given directions by the receptionist to follow signs for leisure centre. After wandering around outside in a building site was then informed by a guy at the gym that the facilities weren't even built yet. Check the web-site carefully, completion early spring not early enough for us. Returned back to room to find tv remote missing and i - pod music system not working properly and large digital time displayed wrongly and unable to correct. Have to say that the evening meal was fine, though little atmosphere in restaurant. Breakfast next day was adequate followed by another round of golf. The golf facilities were fine but disappointed to learn that the clubhouse stops serving food at 3pm on a Sunday and prices in hotel restaurant expensive so came away cold and hungry. It would seem that when it suits them, the hotel and golf club are separate entities yet golf breaks are booked together. This hotel seems more interested in being a wedding venue, so golfers take it as you find it. Our group has stayed in better.

    « Lovely steak »

My husband and I came for the steak night we both had starters,I had white bait, my husband had Spanish platter, followed by gammon and myself the steak which was mediem rare, cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent all very polite and attentive. For the two courses and a bottle of wine for £29 it was very good value. The previous review saying the steak was bloody and they didn't want to complain,Why didn't they say at the time as the staff come back several times to ask if everything's ok.

    « A let down »

Having booked this as the wife had stayed before, this was a special date at the end of term for my wife, all I can say is the reputation of the hotel is not as good as the actual stay. The bathroom was in need of some maintenance and as they are asking for top dollar then they should provide top quality. We had the steak night meal, the soup was lovely but the steak on the wife's plate was flowing with blood, having asked for medium to well done, she then had the cinnamon and plum crumble which she left as it was not good. Because we are to polite to complain she did not voice her complaint to strenuously but did let the waitress know that the pudding was not good and tasted horrible, this is not a hotel that will be recommended by me.

« Very friendly and polite. Fantastic stay! »

We booked the woodland warmer package which included a 3 bedroom cabin, 25 mins treatment, 2 course evening meal and breakfast for £79 and was very pleased with the service of everyone and the quality of the meal. The cabin it self was a little worn... the front door was extremely difficult to open and by the evening we decided to just use the patio doors to the rear but this didn't dampen the stay. The lodge has everything you need and is very warm and comfy. The treatments were done professionally and the therapists where lovely and polite. Shortly before our evening meal we was picked up in the shuttle bus and taken to the main hotel. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our dinner. Again all the staff where very polite and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was more then adequate with a choice of hot English breakfast foods, toast and jams, pastries and cereals. You could also order scrambled and poached eggs. Overall we was very happy with our stay and think it is fantastic value! Would definitely stay again!

« Two night stopover for wedding »

On arrival we were told the leisure facilities would not be open till April we were not informed of this and my son was told it would be open for his wedding, we were given a room overlooked a building site, but the manager moved use to a better room but that was above the bar was very noisy till 12,30 at night, food and the staff were very good no complaints in that department, the wedding venue was excellent

    « Great for a weekend stay »

We found all the staff were really helpful - we were booked on a 2 night winter break and had a superior room with a great view across the golf course and park. The room was spacious and very clean with a modern well equipped bathroom. We had dinner in the hotel on both evenings, Friday evening was "Fish Night" which offered 2 courses for 2 people and a bottle of use wine for £29.95 - very good value.

    « Weekend away »

Spent two nights here. Comfortable hotel, we had a room with good views over the golf course. Very helpful staff. The big disappointment was the food, the breakfast was OK, but the evening meals was the problem, very boring menu,

    « Excellent overnight stay »

We stayed at Kenwick Park Hotel on Thursday March 3 rd . We had a very beautiful room . Can thoroughly recommend very spacious lovely views over the gardens. Our evening meal was very delicious plenty of choice great service . And breakfast also excellent .... Hot plates ... Hot food ... Very nice small Danish pastries ... Again excellent service. We find the reception extremely friendly too lovely welcome ?? Hence we have returned a few times ??

« Not as good as I expected »

Both mornings there were no croissants,Even when I asked the first morning I was told that they had run out. No bread rolls only sliced bread. Danish pastries where the worst I have ever seen, I thought that they were sausage rolls until I asked. I could continue but the selection was very poor.

    « A Very Fine relaxing stay. »

A very friendly and comfortable place to stay. Food is good and the staff are first class. The hotel is situated in next to an 18 hole golf course and is very quiet and relaxing. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last ten years, and will return many times more as long as I can drive to the area. In all the times I have visited this hotel I have enjoyed staying here. If in the area and this hotel is not available I am sad to have to stay in another hotel.

    « Perfect. »

Stayed over at a Ball. The food at the ball was disappointing on cold plates and tiny portions. However we booked for Sunday lunch the following day after our spa treatments. The Sunday lunch was a cavery and it was good as was breakfast. We stayed in a 3 room which was compact but brilliant for what we needed. Also enjoyed our spa treatment, looking forward to the opening of the new spa.

    « A really personal service »

We have had a number of parties for friends and family here and have not been disappointed in any way. The food, rooms, breakfasts and response to personalised requests have been dealt with in a friendly and efficient way.

    « Nice..........needs updating »

I only stayed one night and the hotel was ok. Set in massive tree lined grounds. The reception was very welcoming and my room was ready straight away. The room was comfy enough and clean with king size bed and decent size TV (free view). The en-suit was in desperate need of an update/referb. I wanted to use the leisure facilities but unfortunately it was closed due to redevelopment and the gym had been squeezed into a portacabin and was not really up to much. The restaurant was nice with a good selection to choose from, I can highly recommend the chicken fajitas. All in all not a bad stay just needs updating hence the 3 stars

    « An Excellent Hotel »

I had business in Grimsby so looked for a hotel south of their so my drive home would be a little shorter and could not have found a better hotel for the price. Although it was in the winter I could see the hotel had lovely grounds and a new spa facility with pool and gymnasium is due to open in April. The room was beautiful and very large and the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. All the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. Will stay again.

    « Excellent Sunday lunch »

Booked for Sunday lunch with husband and 2 friends as we had vouchers to use in the restaurant. I am not a Sunday lunch fan as I do not like roasts, gravy etc. However we had been informed that there were other things on the menu. When we arrived we were seen immediately and ordered our drinks. We wandered over to the carvery to have a look....I immediately said I would have this as there was a fish choice as well as meats and the accompanying choices of veg etc. looked very good. Shortly after the waitress came over and said she would call us in a few moments if we were ready, she just wanted to check that all the food was topped up and was ok. She duly did this and we went to collect our meals. Everything was presented nicely, well cooked and was delicious. Could not fault anything. My friend said it was the best Sunday lunch she had ever had. We followed our mains with puddings...both good again and the men had cheese and biscuits. We thought at £12.95 for 2 courses or £15.95 for 3 was excellent value for the food and service we had. We will definitely return.

    « Good for business »

3 night stay on business. Quite suitable as close to Manby and good size room with comfortable bed. Could have been bigger desk with chair (only a stool) to work on but otherwise ok. Dinners good. Breakfasts ok, but after 8.00 the buffet food was a little dried up. Friendly helpful staff.

« Lovely grounds, nice hotel »

Stayed here last week for one night. Lovely hotel, reception and restaurant staff very polite and pleasant. Had a lovely evening meal. Plenty to choose from on the menu. I would recommend the chicken liver parfait. Only down side was my room. Whilst it was nicely decorated and warm with no concerns with the actual room, I was in an annex, separate to the main building, and felt quite isolated and vulnerable. If I booked again, I would request a room in the main building. Overall though a very nice stay!

« Lovely location and good value »

Despite other reviews we found this hotel very pleasing. It was easy to find, large brown tourist signs off the main road, friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms. We made a last minute booking and so had very little choice of room. I was slightly scepticle as rooms can vary enormously in Best Western Hotels and we generally go for a superior or exec room rather than a standard room. There was no need to worry here, the standard room was more than ample with a very comfortable bed. Crucial to me as I have a rubbishy back. We ate in the restaurant, Thursday night is steak night, and both the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was equally as good. We would definitely return if ever in the area. Oh and by the way, market day in Louth is worth a visit too along with the amazing church in the centre of the small town.

« Excellent value, lovely location »

This was my second visit to Kenwick Park, My plan was to stay in Grimsby for my business meeting there, but when looking at room rates it turned out that the best rate for a superior room at KP was cheaper than the best rate at the purple chain. My room was huge with 4 poster and 3 piece leather suite, as well as a new very large bathroom with walk in shower (no bath). The carpets in the bedroom were a touch tired, but the free wifi was superb. Even though it was a damp and grey early January day I went for a run through the woods and thoroughly enjoyed myself. There are lots of footpaths in the area, too, so if walking is your thing, a 1:25k OS map is definitely worth packing. I had a decent local pint of Bateman's in the somewhat characterless bar but enjoyed my seafood risotto for supper.Breakfast was also good with a hot and cold buffet style service and espresso available if you ask for it. My only criticism was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit feeble, which given that I'd got very muddy indeed on my run meant a longer time under it to get properly clean, Overall, an excellent value and relaxing hotel and I will definitely return. The new health centre being built next to the hotel looks spectacular and apparently is due to open in April. I'll be back at Kenwick Park to check it out. Be aware that if busy the hotel will book guests into its woodland lodges which are about half a mile away down an unlit road (no traffic). Might be an issue for people with mobility problems or need wifi. (See my previous review).

    « Gradual downhill direction »

My wife and I have been staying here several times a year for the last few years. We've always loved the location, the large bedrooms and general ambiance of the place and, equally as important, the staff, who always seem very well trained and willing to help, without being OTT. It's a good sign when you see the same staff at each successive visit. However, there seem to be more and more negatives appearing which, for simplicity, I will list...... 1. The food - at dinner, I had their 'soup of the day' which was 'leek & seafood' which sounds a bit weird, and was! I was served enough for 2 or 3 people, it looked like yesterday's cold porridge and was not really much like soup as we know it. My main course was a lovely piece of tender beef, in a lovely jus/sauce, but came with just 3 pieces of potato, each as big as a small home-cut chip. I therefore had to send for a portion of veg, which came with a few pieces of hard parsnip and carrot plus one piece each of broccoli and cauliflower. 2. At breakfast, the fruit salad always seems to be mostly chopped apple and we have to spend considerable time picking out the few pieces of tropical fruits which tend to normally have. The selection of bread is disappointing - all there was was sliced white and brown supermarket wrapped bread - no bread rolls, no baguette to self-slice. The cooked breakfast selection always seems to have been cooked an hour ago - the eggs are solid, the bacon has the white slime (from moisture in the bacon) on it and was past its best at 09h00, etc. 3. As the hotel was nearly full, I was put in the 'White Cottage Lodge' which is about 100yds from the main building. In the morning, when I went to breakfast, it was pouring with rain. I looked for an umbrella, which I assumed the hotel would supply for such occasions, but there was none. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she said 'Yes, other people had said that too and we have told our Manager a few times'!! 4. in my bedroom (405) the wallpaper was starting to peel off the wall in several places at the top, which would take a handyman 10 mins to stick back with a tube of paste. The toiletroll holder was coming off the wall (back of the door actually). Having said all that, I still enjoy staying here, but I think I'll give it 12 months until I return. I think the hotel needs to take heed of its current failings before they slide further down the slippery slope.

    « Very disappointed »

We arranged to stay at this hotel as it was where a friend of ours was having her birthday celebrations and we didn't have to worry about driving. I particularly was really looking forward to staying as we hadn't been away for quite some time and we know that the hotel is situated in beautiful grounds. We arrived early and were able to register and dropped our bags off into the room, great start. The room was large and roomy with two double beds, lovely decoration, although dark, but cold! From there we went to see our friends briefly before coming back to get ready. We got back, changed, then went onto the party (afternoon do). We did ring reception notifying them that the room was cold. As the celebration was during the afternoon, it was arranged that our friends would stay and join us for an evening meal at the hotel, only to be informed that the chef/s had left, not happy. Anyway we went back to our friends and had sandwiches. I went back to our room to change my shoes and a heater had been placed and it was now warm. The following morning, I went to have a shower before breakfast and no hot husband rang reception again and was told that there is there's an issue with the boiler but we were offered another room to use! This didn't make any sense whatsoever as if it's the boiler causing an issue, then there isn't going to be hot water period! I boiled a kettle up so I could freshen up, by now I was very upset and our experience was ruined.

« This is mediocrity at its best »

On making a dinner booking for 6 people on Christmas Eve I asked 2 things; 1. Would an a la carte menu be available on the evening? 2. Did they cater for vegans and those with wheat and dairy allergies? The answer I was given to each question was an unhesitating "Yes". Turns out that that wasn't true. This was Christmas Eve remember; one of those special nights of the year when hotels and restaurants try to tempt you to come out. I knew as we walked down the hallway towards the dining room that this wasn't going to be a special experience in the way one would choose because (before arriving at the restaurant) we were 'greeted' by a large, portable, tubular metal, coat hanging rail. Not tucked discreetly to one side, gosh no, they wanted to make sure you saw it - that way you'd hang your own coats. Real class. So, we hung our own coats and as we sat down and were handed the menu it became clear there was no a la carte. It also became clear that the hotel didn't cater for vegans very easily - in the first instance, there was no vegan bread. No explanation, no apology, there just wasn't any. When the vegan asked our waitress "What vegan dishes are there?" the reply was "Anything you want". That wasn't a reply that instilled confidence. The vegan said she was expecting to be given a choice of dishes and the waitress said "You can have anything you want; the last vegan enjoyed a melon starter followed by a vegetable stir fry" and then left us all to make our eating choices. When the waitress returned to take our orders the vegan asked for a vegetable risotto - no, they couldn't do that - and then another dish. No, they couldn't do that either. ("Anything you want"???) So the waitress asked "How about vegetable stir fry?" (The same dish that the last vegan diner had eaten and seemingly the only dish that the kitchens were happy to prepare.) Ultimately we all ordered and ultimately ate. No the vegan didn't order the stir fry as we insisted on 1 of the dishes that she'd been told earlier wasn't available.) Whilst the staff tried to accommodate our party's dietary requirements, they clearly hadn't been trained to do so. Our sense was that some of the staff had been brought in just for the Xmas period, nothing wrong with that, as long as they are trained. Isn't that a reasonable expectation? The Christmas crackers which lay on the dining table were of the 'bottom of the bargain basement' variety and simply added to the overall impression that the hotel was trying to do the evening as cheaply as possible. I've never pulled such poor quality crackers. In all honesty it would have been better had the hotel not provided crackers - they were an insult. The food (vegan and non-vegan) on a scale of 1-10 scored 5. Mediocre fayre on a mediocre evening in a mediocre restaurant. The restaurant staff did their best but frankly were let down by a lack of training - just one more thing in which the hotel didn't invest enough money. I felt I'd been misled - no a la carte menu and they weren't able (in any professional way) to cater for vegans or those with wheat and dairy allergies. Would we go again? No. This wasn't just a bad night, the problems we experienced were endemic.

    « New Years Eve - Amazing »

Was booked in for New Year's Eve on the Best Western Bed breakfast and evening meal deal and can say only one word "Amazing". We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A special mention to Cheryl who surpassed the word of customer service, she was superb and needs the recognition she deserves. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be returning in future months.

    « Do they know it's Christmas? »

On arrival we thought perhaps they did know it was Christmas. The hall and communal areas were beautifully decorated with very classy trees and decorations and there was Christmas background music playing. A good start and a quite cosy welcoming feeling. Weather conditions on Christmas Eve prevented a pre Christmas round of golf as was planned. Not the hotels fault but finding ourselves unable to play thought a nice bar lunch and a few drinks with our Christmas break companions would be the answer. It would have been had the hotel not decided that they were not serving any bar food, not even a sandwich, due to them serving a pre booked lunch in the function suite for non resident guests. No matter a very helpful waitress advised us of a local pub which we duly visited and a had a lovely time in a very Chrismas atmospheric hostelry. The draw back however being that this required a designated driver, which then negates the "park the car Christmas Eve and forget about it" principle to a Hotel Christmas break. On our return we moved our luggage into our room which without a doubt was very well furnished and immaculately clean but lacked the little gestures that all other hotels that we have stayed in at Christmas leave in the rooms, like a few chocolates, a basket of fruit or perhaps a mince pie. The room would have looked the same had we checked in in the middle of July. Having spent Chistmas in hotel for the last 25 years we looked expectantly for a programme of events as we have found on all other occasions, like a welcome cocktail with other residents, a pre dinner carol and Christmas song sing along, a Christmas themed quiz, anything that would suggest its Christmas. We found nothing!!! Un-daunted we went into dinner where at least some effort had been made by way of Christmas crackers on the table but the meal was very under average, after which we retired to the lounge area which apart from the continuing repetitive loop of the same Christmas cd, was as quiet a a morgue. Christmas limped in accompanied by a game of cards, our own cards we might add. Christmas morning began with an encouraging start of a lovely breakfast, plenty of choice and well presented. The rest of the morning was spent entertaining ourselves with Christmas quizes and crosswords found in the newspapers and then it was time for the main event Christmas Lunch!! What can we say that doesn't make us sound like perpetual moaners. Not much really. For a start it was a carvery, this was never indicated at the time when we booked, and a poor carvery at that. The Turkey was what they called Turkey roulade. Read reformed Turkey in a roll shape. The other options wwere roast beef or a fish of undetermined name. The starters were ok but only ok, the Christmas pud was served apparently with brandy sauce, we think the chef must have become teetotal over night and decided that we should all follow suit as there wasn't the slightest hint of brandy in the custardy accompaniment. All in all a very disappointing experience in a very large room full of residents and non residents and despite being beautifully decorated felt more like a works canteen. We have a local carvery pub at home which over the Christmas period were charging under £10 for a far superior meal with real Turkey carved from a crown and with much more choice for those not wanting the traditional lunch. I believe non residents were charged £55 at Kenwick which even factoring in the additional staff costs over Christmas seems scandalous. After lunch we went back to the lounge area which again apart from the ever present one cd was as quiet as the grave. In the evening a buffet was served to residents and we have to say was probably the best food served over the whole break. Sadly so , very few residents came into the buffet perhaps because the letter presented to us at check in stated this was at an additional £19, we checked this and it proved to incorrect. It broke our heart to see so much food laid out and then taken back to the kitchen which we understand due to food hygiene regs cannot be re presented. Boxing Day other than, due improved weather conditions, a game of golf was possible, was a repeat of the the other days. The hotel cramming the function room full of as many non residents as possible while the residents carried on listening to the ever present one cd. On the plus side the management did let us swap what should have been a three course lunch, for afternoon tea which was very good even though it had no Christmas cake as this had been thrown out from the night before as already mentioned. To sum up as fairly as we can. Kenwick park hotel is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful location, the rooms are very nicely furnished, the staff very welcoming and friendly but they just do not know how to do Christmas for residents and the food does not match its potential and needs to purchase another cd.

    « Christmas break. »

We arrived on Christmas Eve,first impression was good. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff very welcoming. We were disappointed to find that there were no Carols or entertainment of any kind during our 3 night break. The biggest disappointment was the Christmas lunch, which was a carvery and the turkey roll! Not very tasty. The dining room was huge serving hotel guests and diners from outside. The breakfasts on the other hand were good,a selection of fruit and cereal, hot dishes from the buffet and a selection of other things to order. Due to the lack of entertainment in the evening the public rooms were deserted and quiet ,with only the background music being played over and over again To sum up,a disappointing time

« Amazing, good value for money »

Stayed for a winter warmer spa break for the 2nd year running with 3 friends once again it was amazing lodge was a new one really nice, spa treatments were the best I've had and I've had a few had a back massage and a facial, booked afternoon tea which was really good, could have as much tea and coffee as you liked think we had 3 or 4 lots lol, even got a glass of sparkling wine with it well worth the £9 each, evening meal was good lots of options staff very helpful and friendly, zac was really good couldn't do enough for us, they provided a lift to and from the hotel from our lodge, breakfast the next day is really good quality products for the money we paid this hotel is excellent value will definitely be booking again for next year but maybe for 2 nights.

    « Serene »

This hotel provided sheer serenity and all that comes with it. The spacious environment is surrounded by a natural forest, an expansive golf course and lodges deeper into the woods. There is a variety of cuisines to sample from. The staff are quite friendly too. Spent 2 nights in Lodge 75 and it was wonderful. Good job.

    « A Very Fine relaxing stay. »

Always friendly and one of the best places to stay. The hotel and staff are keen to make your stay as good as it could be. The hotel is situated in quite country surroundings, and is convenient for coast or country. Will be returning as soon as I can think of an excuse.

    « A Relaxing Break »

My wife and I stayed at this establishment recently and we were impressed by the overall standards. The hotel is located well out of town in its own grounds thus providing a relaxed atmosphere. We found it without any trouble there being comprehensive signage. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly/business like receptionist, subsequently enjoying the friendly and helpful nature of the other staff members we encountered. The room was quite large with two beds. Both the room and bathroom were spotless with ample towels and the usual soaps etc. Tea and coffee was available with biscuits. We had opted for the half board option and had no complaints about the restaurant staff and service. The criticism I could make was that I ordered a rare-medium steak but found it to be overcooked, however it was tasty and succulent. On the last night of our stay there were two large groups eating but this did not affect the service we received.

    « Great Sunday Lunch »

Situated just outside Louth on Manby Road so no option other than to drive I'm afraid. the hotel is well signposted and accessed down a long drive through the wooded grounds. It is recommended to book for Sunday lunch as it can be very popular. I booked for 13.00 and my table was ready and waiting. order drinks and starters which are served to the table. The carvery is manned by one of the chefs and you are invited to visit when ready a selection of 3 meats is the norm along with self served vegetables which sound very ordinary but as a rule the vegetables are far from that..... If you have room you may also order from a short selection of sweets or cheese and biscuits and finish off with a coffee... The whole experience is unrushed so that you can enjoy the outlook over the nieghbouring golf course.... Well worth a vist

    « Good Value »

I stayed Kenwick Park and was very happy with the service received. The room was clean and comfortable and overall excellent value. Although this was only a single night's stay and I did not have dinner in the hotel, I will definitely stay again.

    « Lovely! »

There were a group of six of us staying at the Kenwick Park Hotel in Louth for a Charity Ball night. We were allocated lovely rooms (one was 306, the bridal suite, which was absolutely gorgeous). Even the standard doubles were lovely, with two double beds in each. The grounds are beautiful. There were just a couple of niggly downsides for me - one, the outside of the front of the hotel needs an ashtray to stop people throwing butts on the floor (I smoke but still didn't like it). There is a small ashtray but it was full of plastic shot drinks from the night before meaning we couldn't use it. We tried to go to the area outside of the bar to smoke, they had to force the fire exit open, which took some effort, then closed the door behind us so we still had to walk around to the front, bit pointless when I'd tried to avoid standing out the front of the hotel smoking! Secondly, we borrowed the iron and ironing board - the iron had thick black crap on the bottom of it and when you need to iron a white shirt, that's not good! Other than that it was lovely. I have to highly commend the two young ladies on reception, they were really lovely! Even saying what I have above, we would definitely recommend Kenwick for a break, it's beautiful, clean and comfy :-)

    « Excellent Hotel »

Nice smart comfortable hotel, nice decor, very friendly staff. Just unfortunately its located away from the main atrractions as I dont think id use it for pleasure purposes. Overall a well worthy visit and probably the best best western hotel ive stayed in to date

    « Overnight stop »

We needed an overnight stay, we were attending a Motorsport event at Cadwell. We had a lovely family room, Queen bed, and a double, large room. Stacks of hot water. Had dinner in the restaurant which was nothing special - an OK steak, seafood linguine for my other half. Pasta for my 12 year old which she said was "fishy" so I suspect she was given seafood linguine too, rather then the tomato pasta on the kids menu! She did, however love the Brownie. Decent breakfast. Our friends were staying in the Lodges which were nice. Overall, I thought the hotel was ok, a bit dated, but clean. I suspect the gardens would be lovely in summer. Handy for Cadwell, but at over £200 for dinner, bed, and breakfast, not the cheapest!!

    « Kenwick Park »

We visited during half term and had a very enjoyable relaxing stay. The hotel looks impressive and expensive but is also very welcoming. Relaxing lounge bar overlooking the golf course. The main restaurant is in a conservatory but was very warm and comfortable. Our family room was spacious and very clean and recently decorated . My only criticism would be that the bathroom was a bit dated although perfectly functional and clean. This is an old property and very charming. It was disappointing that the leisure centre is being rebuilt following a fire however we knew that prior to going. We will be visiting again when the leisure centre is re-opened.

    « Kenwick Park Lodges/Beauty Package »

This is for the lodges that are available. We booked a spa break for one nights stay in a 3 bedroom lodge, including a 25 minute treatment at the beauty lodge, a girls movie collection, a huge hamper of goodies and full english breakfast, £69. Bargain! Fantastic weekend. The hotel staff were very friendly on check in. My treatment at the beauty lodge was perfect (thank you Jayne or Jade, sorry I'm bad with names) should definitely have paid extra for a full body massage. The lodge was fantastic, way better than our expectations. Fully self catering with a huge kitchen diner area, cosy lounge, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The only negative comment I would have is the mattresses definitely need upgrading. Can't wait to visit again when the new building is up with the swimming pool and spa area. :D

« Vert satisfactory one night stay »

Very large, comfortable bedroom, very efficient and friendly staff good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. e had a brief one night stay and did not use the restaurant for dinner but it more than met our requirements.

« A Truly Honest and Long Review! »

This is going to be a very difficult review to write. On one hand, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean and we certainly had a nice time, £120.00 per night for bed and breakfast, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired and needs a great deal of investment to bring it up to a standard which makes its prices fair. This is Lincolnshire, where 4* hotels are few and 3* Kenwick Park just doesn't "cut the mustard" in terms of its 4* prices. Our experience of the hotel began before we arrived, as we couldn't find it, despite sat nav, (a complaint other guests have made) My husband phoned the hotel and the receptionist was unable to direct him, didn't know what road the hotel was on , so she found another employee who also was unable to give us clear directions. We had to find a house and knock on a door for directions. The drive-way to the hotel was poorly lit, with confusing buildings scattered about. A pleasant Georgian facade, revealed a 1980s, characterless interior. A friendly greeting awaited us on arrival and we found our very small, twin-bedded room, cluttered with 1980s furniture and facing a building site,(more of which later) The wardrobe was scuffed and flimsy with an inadequate number of hangers within. The twin beds were very narrow, more suitable for children. Approximately an hour after our arrival, all the lights in our room went out and the receptionist informed us that as we had a dog, the only other "dog room" was full. Quite how she expected the three of us to manage in pitch darkness, myself, my dog and my disabled husband, I have no idea! But my husband simply told her to arrange to have the fuse fixed, which she did. On our first morning, two hair-dryers over-heated and cut out immediately, before a third one was produced which finally worked. The bathroom was very, very poor and below is a list of bathroom faults which reflects just how badly this hotel needs investment. 1. Peeling paint on wall. 2. Missing toilet lid 3. Wobbly toilet seat and actual toilet. 4. Broken toilet roll holder. 5. Wobbly taps on wash basin. 6. Faulty hot water thermostat, resulting in scalding hot water from both shower/bath/wash basin 7 No hot water at all on our second night 8 No hot water at all on our third morning 9.Sloping bathroom shelf meant nothing could be placed on it. Breakfast was uninspiring in the extreme-buffet-style, the usual packeted cereals, tasteless juices, make your own toast with seriously inferior bread. Sachets of butter were melting and accompanying jam and marmalade sachets, cheap. A fresh fruit bowl failed to appeal. There was a cooked to order option which was very satisfactory, but the pre-cooked sausages, bacon, beans etc were poor and of inferior quality. Breakfast staff were friendly and pleasant, but the room was over-heated and, particularly annoying, was the constant din of the television which competed with the piped music, so guests were treated to a stereo effect. Why TV had to be on at breakfast was a mystery, especially as "Rip Off Britain" etc, was totally ignored by all the guests who were breakfasting. Most of the grounds are a golf course and apart from a nice lawn, the grounds are a strange mess of a portacabin, lodges, waste ground and a building site, where a large structure is being built. Work commenced on this site at 8.0.a.m each morning, (apart from Sunday) and we were thrust into wakefulness by the thundering drills. "Carry on Abroad" sprang into mind. I mentioned that our very well-behaved dog was with us and, as always, I carried bags to clear up her mess. The problem was, that there were absolutely no bins whatsoever in the grounds to dispose of these bags, so I had to just dump them in unobtrusive places. There were no bins at all for any guests' rubbish disposal and this was a serious over-sight. Kenwick Park gives one the impression that it is run on a shoe-string and obviously makes money from its golfing customers, spa ladies and wedding packages, but we have stayed all over the world in hotels of all kinds, from budget to luxury and we expect a lot more than we received at Kenwick Park. A realistic room rate would have been £80.00 per room per night, B and B, so we paid £40.00 per night (total £120.00), well over the odds. We like to get value for money and we emphatically didn't get it here and for that reason, we shall not return, even though the staff were generally nice and the beds comfortable. Owners...,wake up.

    « Birthday »

Hotel was very nice an would certainly visit again. From the arrival you could see the quality of the surrounding areas and grounds. Easy to book in and then up to a very large room with four poster bed and separate bathroom which included a jacuzzi bath which had to be tried out. Very comfy nights sleep and then down for a lovely breakfast. Once eaten went for a lovely walk in the surrounding woods checking out the lodges which looked very nice for maybe a return visit.Unfortunately did not have a chance to use the leisure facilities but will do next time. Would definitely recommend trying tis hotel out and also the lovely town of Louth which is in close proximity.

« Great Hotel in beautiful country setting »

The Hotel is on the very edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds with woodland and golf course surrounding it. The room was larger than normal and very comfortable with 1 queen size bed and 1 king size bed (this seemed to be standard) the finish in the room and bathroom was to an excellent standard. The food was also of a high standard, served by very efficient staff. The staff made the stay even more enjoyable, as they all seem to smile and pandered to our every whim. I must particularly mention Adam & Emma for attending to us. Nothing was to difficult and they took every one of my requests with a calm efficiency. Thanks to them our Masonic function ran very smoothly.

    « Louth hotel »

Really hard to find if you don't know where you are going as Sat Nav can't find the exact location using the post code. But well worth the driving around in the dark to find it. The staff were lovely and the building and rooms were gorgeous.

« Good Hotel and Good Golf »

Kenwick Park. We had booked as a group to play golf they allowed us to check in before we played golf, so we could just collect our key cards later in the day. The the bedroom itself was lovely! As were all the public rooms. The staff were really helpful. The evening meal was super. Good choice of cereals, pastries, cooked breakfast items. The only down side was that we had to take our golf clubs to our rooms which was difficult for some of our ladies, having said that some were lucky and had staff to help them. It would be great if they could have a room to store the clubs overnight. Having said that I'm sure we would definitely stay here again.

Booked a cabin to celebrate a couple of birthdays, we had the log cabin, treatment in the spa lodge, 2 course meal in the main hotel, cocktail making included plus a big choice of breakfast the next morning, all for £99 each what a bargain. The staff couldnt do enough for you, they even pick you up at your cabin to take you for your meal and drop you back off with no extra charge, I would definitely have a return visit, its a lovely relaxing break. The cabin has everything you need as well only down side was the mattress not the most comfortable but for one night it was ok.

« Service second to none »

As a photographer it is important to me that, to get the best from a venue, I need the support of the staff. I can say that the staff at Kenwick Park could not do enough to support me. As i was also a guest at this wedding i had my children with me which made it all the more important that i had assistance from the hotel. From the minute I arrived I was greeted by Cheryl at reception who showed me to the brides room and was on hand should I need anything. I requested that the carpet be laid in the gazebo if possible as I wanted to use it for some shots. This was done straight away by Zac and it was invaluable for the shoot. Adam who was in charge of the organisational side of the ceremony was tireless and relentless in his pursuit of perfection and communicated with me constantly as he organised guests and bridal couple to ensure a smooth and worry free day. On the guest side the service was exemplary and prompt. The building was decorated to a high standard and was warm and inviting. The food was superb and served swiftly and hot. The staff were polite and approachable and on hand to offer service and assistance wherever and whenever needed. As an overall experience from both a professional and personal view I was very impressed and hope that this will not be my only visit.

« Substitute hotel but pleasing. »

We were originally booked into the Brackenborough booked via Expedia however an hour before setting off from home I received a call to say they couldn't honour the booking as they were full but they could arrange for us to stay at the Kenwick park. Upon arrival all was fine - checked in no problem. The room was lovely but the bathroom was annoying! The shower head was rubbish and sprayed water everywhere. The shower screen leaked so there was a massive puddle on the floor. Then the cold water tap was hanging off! Such a shame as the bedroom itself was lovely! Breakfast was also fine. Good choice of cereals, pastries, cooked breakfast items. Would definitely stay here again.

« Our daughters wedding day »

Saturday 5 th Oct.2015 was the day of our daughters wedding. They both chose this hotel for their ceremony and reception. From start to finish was a brilliant experience. The staff couldnt have done a better job, they were absolutely fabulous... Adam, and the rest of the staff made a perfect day for us. They were able to accomodate 2 fire engines too and we also had a guard of honour.. Do not hesitate to hold your wedding or any other event you might want to celebrate here... ..
