The hotel was clean and quiet, staff people were pleasant, and the cost was reasonable. This was my first time at a SureStay Plus, and as would be expected, it is a step down from Best Western Plus facilities - thinner walls, lower cost food items, etc. This said, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was adequate. The room would benefit from small end tables on both sides of the bed. It was a challenge to reach the outlet that was behind the bed frame from the side without an end table. Additionally, I would prefer internet that is password protected, although it probably makes it only nominally more secure. There were few guests the night of our stay (not Crane season), and my guess is that the hotel would have been considerably noisier if it were closer to capacity. But, I would definitely consider it for another one night stay while traveling, especially during off-season.
We had a nice little weekend get away. Enjoyed excellent customer service, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great!…Good, hot and many choices. We will definitely stay here again in Grand Island, NE
Always helpful and accommodating staff, welcoming and friendly, I know there are cheaper places in Grand Island but I really like these folks. The pool is always clean as is the breakfast nook. Truck parking is available to capable drivers.
This place has always been an old stable for me when in town. Desk help and Bonnie the Manager are great. Had huge suite last time. It was great for the dog and I. Wish it was still a Super 8 so i could use my Wyndham points! Will stay again.
From the exterior of the hotel, it appears to be a former Super 8 motel in architecture, which can also be seen in the hallways of the hotel. However, the guest rooms (at least the one I had) appeared to have been recently remodeled, you could still smell the new carpet. The desk clerk at both check-in as well as check out was knowledgeable and friendly, she even claimed to have given me an upgraded room. The property is several miles closer to town, and not directly off I-80. They have a well-stocked continental breakfast. The biggest concern is it took 2 1/2 months for the airline miles for this stay to post to my account.
I got charged for May 19 and May 20 , two different charges plus the day I made the reservation. The charge for May 20 was taken off but not for the day I made the reservations. So I ended up paying $206.56 for one night. Way too much money for this hotel. They are not easy to work with when they clearly made the mistake.
We were very pleased with this hotel and I'm picky! It's clean, affordable, staff is friendly and helpful, and the take pets for a reasonable $15 fee. Pool was clean, warm, well stocked with towels and the kids loved it. HOWEVER, be sure to ask for a hallway room away from the street. Otherwise, you might get a room right next to the pool and the pool is open to the front part of the hotel. We had kids yelling right outside our door from 8:45-10. A very busy Road was right outside our window and cars were revving, sirens blaring, trucks honking all night long. Ultimately it's not the fault of the hotel, it's how it's built but highly suggest asking for a room in the back of the building away from the pool and street. I will say we asked to move and the hotel staff was super helpful and friendly and very willing to accommodate a move. I was impressed. I ended up being too lazy to pack a move so do you self a favor and get the right room from the start!
This is an absolute gem compared to other Super 8s I've used. Rooms are spacious, super clean, well-equipped. Pool is a beauty and grounds are well tended. Staff is helpful and agreeable. Second best of all is the biscuits and gravy breakfast. Best is the pet policy. If it wasn't genuinely "friendly," we wouldn't stay there.
I really like this place. I have stayed here 3 times now for over a week each time. Rooms are cozy and clean. Very nice people. They have all the amenities you would want, including a decent hot breakfast. I feel safe here.
I had stayed here frequently in the past but stopped because of the manager! Was pleasantly surprised by the new one. This is an average Super 8 but not full of workers like some. Room was clean and quite. Pet friendly! I even used the pool. Close to most stuff. Marvin my Corgi felt at home. look forward to returning!
