SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Farmington, Farmington

I was pleasantly surprised with this place Great Value and a good clean room, We stayed there 1 night and really liked the room, I would definitely stay there again if in the area, I would gladly recommend this place to anyone. I have stayed and some places that the quality has gone down since covid but this placed seems to have stepped up its service CLEAN Hotel, Great Value. I give it a 10/10.

The room was VERY dirty. There was no FRIDGE (not told that they are only in certain rooms) and my room was apparently not one of them. There was NO HOT WATER. Will NEVER stay here again. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Nice staff, clean large rooms, good pricing, quiet stay. Stayed here overnight while house hunting in the area. Very friendly staff, rooms were spacious and clean. Area was very quiet and able to relax and rest. Will definitely stay here again.

I decided to stay at this hotel as it had always been a staple in Farmington. I stayed there when I got married and have fond memories. However, while the rooms were clean, there was no staff around aside from the front desk and the breakfast lady...both of which weren't very friendly. Our room was ok, but the toilet was stopped up preventing a flush. I will have my memories but will not be staying here again.

We have stayed here several times over the past few years however our last stay was disappointing. It appears that the hotel is under new ownership or new management and they have cut corners on the quality of the hotel. The hotel seems to need a deep cleaning and regular maintenance. The towels and beddings are poor quality and need to be replaced. The ice machines were not working. The bathroom items such as soap and shampoo were tiny and barely adequate. Breakfast was provided however it was of marginal quality with some items being substituted with questionable quality items. The restaurant in the hotel was permanently closed. Our previous stays at this hotel were good however considering how ownership or management has cut corners we will be looking for another place to stay next time we are in Farmington.

Older property - well maintained. Very clean! Large room - comfortable bed. Some noise in the hallway - not a real problem. Restaurant on-site was closed. Some fast-food places in the area. Good hot breakfast - prepared and serve (not buffet style. Staff were OK (average). Good price. Coming north on 61 - no signs marked for that exit. Easy to pass it up.

Do not stay here - no restaurant facilities and no listings of replacement places to eat at or for delivery - no room service for daily clean towels or trash can emptying - rooms were cold with them turning off the heaters -

Our room was very clean upon arrival. Plenty of towels for our stay of 3 nights . It was very nice to have the onsite restaurant . Complimentary breakfast was great with several selections including eggs,sausage , biscuits&gravy as well as fruits and muffins.

The hotel was very nice, and the staff was exceptional. Great hot breakfast -- a real one. Very nice rooms. I recommend this hotel. We visited here to see Civil War sites and the Pilot Knob CW reenactment. Great experience.

Family trip to Shut Ins. This hotel was more clean, offered more services(breakfast) and was way more friendly and helpful than the Hilton! Attached bar and grill. Recommended but advised not accepting cash as payment it is posted.

I'm not sure where the recent reviewers stayed in this hotel, but our experience here was awful. Our room was musty and dank. So humid that the carpets were wet. Check in was the most inefficient experience I've had. It was also the only time I've EVER had to give the names of my family members, to which I refused.

Great service very helpful and polite very nice rooms great place to stay to relax and enjoy yourself and forget your troubles my favorite motel in town always enjoy my stays here and the staff are always so helpful

A very good place to stay if you are in town for a few days. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the front desk clerk was friendly, and the amenities were nice for what you'd expect. The continental breakfast (Covid safe) was served by very friendly staff behind a counter, and the food was better than expected. The furniture in the room was very nice (if a bit sparse). We had a really nice comfortable stay.

The room is clean, bed is soft. The breakfast was great. The bathroom is spacious. This is the only place I will stay when I am in Farmington. It has shopping nearby. Perfect location to visit family.

Assuming by the opinion of the KID that checked me at night when I arrived, I am almost positive he's working in the wrong field... Being that he told me that my Service dog sounded like it was an Emotional Support Animal, right after asking a question that is in Violation of Hippa laws and ADA approved questions, he must be a psychiatrist... If it was not being tired after driving over 3k miles to deliver another service dog to a 9 year old boy, I would have continued driving to another Best Western... I've been a loyal customer over 10 years and have always traveled with my service dog and not once in over that time have I received this type of service... But the best part about it was the at least he allowed me to stay there for the night, his exact words after stating that my service dog sounded like an Emotional support dog was "I'LL ALLOW IT THIS TIME"... I guess it was my lucky night... I've never stayed at a Best Western that wasn't an actual best Western or a best Western plus, I'll be sure to stay away from other hotels that say "By Best Western" this is not the service I've received at any Best Western, including Canada and France which was by far the only bad experience I had ever had...

Great location and fantastic staff. Clean rooms, some appear to have been newly remodeled. Free wi-fi. Some rooms located by poolside. Nice courtyard with tables and chairs. Restaurant at the property. Minutes to downtown Farmington. Plenty of parking. Hot breakfast in a very nice dining area.

Reasonable rates for quality rooms. ALWAYS greeted by staff, always get a very clean room. Plenty of towels, clean fridge and microwave. Sheets are always crisp. Covid precautions are in place and that puts my mind at ease

Love the staff. Nothing fancy but very clean and affordable. We stay here anytime we are in the area. I highly recommend this hotel. Free hot breakfast every morning and having the bar and grill in the same building is very convenient.

The rooms smelled of mold so terrible I had to go outside. When moved into another room it wasn't much better. The sink leaked the bedding smelled and pillows were terrible. The outside is the best place and the nice lady working day shift.

Upon check-in we noticed that the bathroom was filthy. Front desk attempted to get us a new room but the 2nd room was even worse. "Housekeeping" was apparently off for the day. Luckily we had disinfectant wipes with us so we cleaned our own room. We could have left for a different hotel but it was late and easier for us to clean our original room.

everything was very clean, and staff were very helpful. The pool was clean, the lounge chairs were a bit uncomfortable though. The chairs around the patio on the pool deck were the cheap plastic ones, so i was scared they were going to break.

The smell in the room was awful either musty or cigarette smoke. The young girl working the counter was more interested in snuggling with her boyfriend on the couch than helping customers. I would have left immediately but there wasn't any openings anywhere near. :( Keep driving!!!

My overall stay at SureStay plus was amazing. The staff were so friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are so beautiful and huge. If you travel to this place alone you would feel small i know i did.

Traveling with family under difficult circumstances with corona virus fears. The SureStay gave me very clean rooms. Provided a great grab and go breakfast. Were nice and followed all the safety protocalls. The rooms were comfortable. I'd stay there again.

I have stayed here about 10 days a year for the last 20+ years. We also stay here when motorcycling on the wonderful roads of south east MO. Comfortable, homey, great staff, great restaurant with a well varied menue, even locally raised Bison, and tons of craft beer and wonderful Crown Hill Wines

We stayed at sure stay for our 36th anniversary. We enjoyed Spokes and actually felt it was the better part of your property. The mattresses on this property definitely need to be upgraded. When we stay at Best Western Plus we generally have very comfy beds and blankets. Unfortunately we had neither at your hotel.

The staff was gracious and helped me. I am legally blind and there caring put me at ease and I was able to visit my son. I do not consider this Hotel a hotel. It is more like an inn. I am originally from up state New York and This Hotel could compete with any country Inn.

Wow. First time at a Sure Stay brand and I am impressed. I can say, this is much better then the Best Western Plus branded hotels I stayed in before. Richard at the front desk was very professional, friendly and helpful. He recognized my Best Western Reward Diamond Status upon arrival and upgraded the room right away. The Suite was spacious and very clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hot breakfast was yummy and service at breakfast was really good. Good job. Excellent overnight stay. Very clean room and I comfortable. Staff was friendly and the grounds well taken care of. Breakfast was on time and hot. I did not eat at the attached restaurant, had local pizza delivery which was terrible. Would stay here again.

I stayed here because I was in the area for a motorcycle ride. The room was a bit more expensive on my weekend than others so I knew something else was going on. Ended up there was a golf tournament in town also. I had no issues at all. Room was clean and neat. I do wish the Heat/AC unit would blow continuous but this is the day we live in. Everything was quiet in my room.

Great amenities for the price. Clean, spacious rooms (I personally stayed in a single King). The staff was friendly and it was nice and quiet at night. OH... And the breakfast is amazing! This is a perfect hotel if you want budget pricing without sacrificing good quality.

This hotel has gotten a lot better since the Best Western Sure Stay ownership change, it's definitely a good value in my opinion. The showers have improved tremendously plus the bed seems a LOT better than times I've stayed here in the past.

Did a stay and play at crown pointe this place was perfect. Food and service at Spokes was great, everything we needed for a quick night stay after 2 rounds of golf. Already looking forward to coming back next year!

It was obviously two average rooms made in to one large. 4 doors, two closets and crazy amount of extra space. Nice breakfast but sketchy internet. Convenient location. Needed an extra plug in the "kitchenette".

Hotel appears very nice. Rooms on the bottom floor are outdated, the bed is from the 80's era and not very comfortable. There is a very musty smell as though water is in the carpet. Value is good for the money, however rethink your stay if you have mold allergies.

Great value for the money. Room was very clean and didn't have any odd odors like some hotels do. They turned on the AC before we got there so the room was nice when we arrived. Front desk staff were so nice, greeted us pleasantly. Good hot shower! Breakfast was really good, with a lot of options. Real eggs! Having a truly good hot breakfast saved us money on daily expenses.

We had a wonderful five night stay! The facility is well located, had a great price, and we had a wonderful room. This is a hidden gem! We will stay here on every trip we make to Farmington. The attached restaurant was a great find as well, with very good food and a number of bison entrees and appetizers. The bison filet was simply amazing!

Kind and helpful staff with a newly updated motel. What more can you ask for? The room, pool, and workout rooms were perfect. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with real scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and then the standard food items. Location made it easy to find. The only value place to stay in Farmington.

For the price of the room, which was clean and huge, one can over look the rather disappointing breakfast.It was acceptable but it would not be the reason for choosing this location. However, staff was great. Facility was clean. Great location and would stay there again.

We arrived at the hotel about noon. There was an older lady outside smoking. She asked us if she could help us and we said that we were there early and would like to check in because we wouldn't be back until around 8 or 9 pm. She spouted off at us telling us that there would be no pets and no smoking in this hotel. I told her, well that is good, we don't have any pets and we don't smoke. Mind you the entry way wreaked of cigarette smoke. My question is if there is no smoking in the hotel, why are your employees allowed to smoke right outside the front door? Every time we entered/exited the hotel we had to walk through the same lingering smoke smell. We finally got into our room about 9pm. It smelled really musty in the room. The room looked like a prison cell minus the bars. The bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom mat was filthy. We finally got into bed and turned off the light and the bright lights shining on the outside of the building were so bright that they lit up the entire room. The AC blew the curtains up allowing light in the room. We were in a suite, so there were 4 doors entering the room, which also allowed even more light into the room. We have stayed at BWs before and always stayed in a suite. We fully expected that we would have a kitchen area, but that was a small fridge and microwave with a sink. This brings me to breakfast. The eggs were gritty and nasty tasting. There wasn't anything on the breakfast bar that tasted good. We ended up going to a restaurant to get something to eat.

Dear Kelly Moore, Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. I did review the details of your stay at SureStay Plus and am writing back to hopefully establish some clarity in your areas of concern. First, I do see we accommodated your early check-in request at 11:32 am CST. As a part of our incidental disclosure that you sign at check-in there is language indicating there is not pets and no smoking in your sleeping room. As a courtesy front desk agents often taken upon themselves to paraphrase the disclaimer you're signing to expedite your check-in process. I understand your seeming distaste for people smoking, as I do not smoke myself and find the smell unpleasant. However, there is a high-demand in our area for designated areas to smoke for folks to partake in these activities. To help detour this activity from taken place inside the rooms there are designated outside of the hotel to do so. I understand your concern of an employee doing so directly and will review with them specifically to see if anything in excess was taken place in this event. We are hotel that was originally constructed in 1982 and engineered with great structural integrity with the intent to take into account natural events that could happen within the area. There are brick exterior walls and concrete slabs laid throughout. We're in an area at which natural disasters do occur on the occasion. Tornado, Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Flooding, damaging Hail and even Seismic Activity (the New Madrid fault-line; which is historically overdue for an event) are events out of the realm of possibility. Our hotel is engineered as one of the most structurally sound establishments in the area for guest and worker safety and security. We understand those do compromise some of the aesthetics, but largely when explained to guests is taken into great consideration if this is a concern. SureStay Plus (our branded site) is a mid-economic brand in the Best Western Family that was first established in 2017. We provide an affordable hospitality experience for all. Taken that into consideration we are helping establish expectations with brand confusion and misidentify. Circling back to your comments about your expectations about a full-kitchen and other Best Western location - We advertise these King Suites as having "kitchenettes" which precisely the amenities you laid-out in your review - fridge, microwave, and wet bar/sink. Yes, there are two pool side doors with access to the outside. One door allows for more privately entry and exit to the room from the outside, while the other allows more direct entry and exit from our outdoor seasonal pool. There are two hall doors also. Again to allow ease of access to and from the sleeping room to the hallway and in turn to your ultimate destination. Taken into account the square footage of the room (nearly 600 sq ft) we're required to offer ample exits from the room in the event of emergency. This again was the design and application again in the building original inception under the advisement of risk management entities. As it relates to your comments concerning breakfast I will be happy to review with the breakfast bar associates on duty to ensure the quality of our product being put out. The fact they were "gritty" is rather concerning since there's no element of this offering that should be capable of being "gritty." I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. Very Clean establishment, friendly staff. Always hassle free check in. My kids love staying here. It has a full breakfast not just some day old donuts. The rooms are pre cooled.We have stayed here a few times now and would recommend it to anyone that is in the area

Cheapest in the area at $70 a night. There is a pool for those grueling summer Missouri days. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Restaurant/bar is connected to the hotel, food decent. Right next to Highway 67 easy access.Older hotel but it is worth a couple nights to save money.

I had stayed 5 days last week for work. The food was adequate and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was great. My biggest and unacceptable gripe was the bathroom. It was not cleaned at all. The maid came in and put fresh towels, but would not clean the toilet and bathtub. When I lifted the toilet seat it had brown stains on the rim. You can also tell the iui inside of the toilet needed cleaning.I think this was disgusting because I had to borrow cleaning supplies from another person to clean the toilet. I did mentioned it to front desk, but the cleaning crew was gone by 5pm. That was the ultimate disappointment otherwise a decent hotel.

Big room. Good price. Descent breakfast. Noisy A/C unit but not enough to keep me up at night. Just have to turn the volume up on the TV when watching it. Outside pool only. Staff was cordial. Good location.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Rather like the song, "the room was big enough to play baseball in". We had a king sized bed and half of the room was a studio with two large and comfortable chairs, a couch and a huge television. I like the ground floor location in a hotel/motel and this met all of our requirements for two nights in town. Maybe it's a strange hobby but I enjoy wandering around "farm stores" and two of them are very close and they open early.

Room seemed and smelled very musty, bathroom fan did not work, and every time you walked in or out the front entry you have to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke! Maid service was the bare minimum, no sheet change for whole week. They would simply pull the comforter back up and fluff pillows. When I pulled the covers down to go to bed, the sheets were still all wrinkled up like I just got out of the bed.

Great place to stay in the Farmington Missouri area. Motel is nice, neat and clean. Staff is friendly, courtesy and professional. The restaurant/lounge has good food and drink at a reasonable price. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

We were very happy with this hotel. My wife and I stayed for 1 night. The room was quite large and comfortable. We had a king-sized bed. Walls were solid and thick. Everything was clean. Flat screen TV with all the cable channels. Nice continental breakfast; friendly wait staff. Cost was under $70 for the night. Restaurant (pub) is attached. For the price, it would be 5 stars - yet giving it 4 because nothing fancy - just good ol' standard middle America comfort.
