Best Western Plus Classic Inn & Suites

BEWARE BED BUGS- their management doesnt want to take accountablity and clainm that becasue it was 2 weeks before the report. Well, it can take 2 weeks for bed bug bites to appear.

This is a very modern and clean facility with all the amenities of a home away from home. Everything in the guest roomsis in perfect working order, including fast-draining sinks and tubs. The staff is wonderful-very personable yet entirely professional in their approach and very efficient in their work. Finally, the hotel is centrally located on the main thoroughfare in the town, which facilitates access to the businesses and restaurants that might interest you.

Located near restaurants and stores, so I didn't have to do far for anything I needed. The bed is very comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. The room had a ceiling fan, which was great because I always sleep with one on at home. I'll definitely stay again.

When checking in, they asked to see my identification, they made a copy of it. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO COPY YOUR ID. I should have demanded they destroy it right then. Next time I will or I will cnx reservation.

Our visit to the Best Western in Center, Texas was uneventful compared to some of the more dramatic reviews that have been left by previous visitors. Upon arriving, it looked nice from the outside, and the entrance, check-in, lobby and dining area looked very nice as well. One thing of note, once you get your keycards, don't put them next to anything in your pockets or purse or you'll run the risk of it deactivating, and you'll have to get it re-activated. The elevator ride was interesting. When the door opened, we were greeted with a mix of insecticide and disinfectant, which backed up the hotel's statement of regular insecticide treatments and cleanliness. (The went away after the first day.) The ride was up was smooth, providing a little donk sound when it was approaching our floor, followed by little drop, and a 5 second floor shudder before the doors opened. When we got to our room, it was clean, inviting and the room was cold. It looked pretty much like the pics on the website. So, that was a wonderful surprise! We unpacked and went downstairs to check out the hot tub, because it had been a long drive and I was really looking forward to a good soak. I was very disappointed to find that it was not working. We left to get something to eat, at a nearby Whataburger, then went back to the room. (BTW, almost everything is about 5 minutes from the hotel) The beds are comfy, pillows are okay. The blankets were thin, but were very warm. The overhead fan was really moving some air. There was a microwave, a small empty fridge, TV w/remote and enough channels to keep anyone entertained. A cabinet with three drawers is provided for foldables. There was a small desk with a coffee maker, an iron and a small closet with enough room for severafoldable. The bathroom is large enough to move around without bumping into anything. The sink and counter are large enough for whatever kind of toiletries you may have, unless you're a Kardashian. There was also a hair dryer in a bag. The shower, while spacious, is a bit on the pitiful side for water pressure. I was under the water 5 minutes before I got wet, which made rinsing a chore. The workout room has a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and a 4 station weight machine. There was also a yoga ball and mat, a water cooler, a TV, and a drop box for sweaty towels. I used the treadmill. It was a little squeaky. I also checked out the leg station it was pretty good. My wife checked out the elliptical and she told me it made a few noises, but she was using ear buds and it didn't bother her. We also checked out the dining area and I can say that during our 3 day visit, there were no muddy floors, boot prints or nasty looking offerings as had been reported in some other reviews. We sampled the free breakfast. We found it to be a typical hotel offering. The menu changed day to day, so there was no worry of breakfast boredom. I will say that when I went down at 6:32am on a Friday, the pastry trays that had been filled at 6:00am were almost depleted, (a construction crew came down about that time) the scrambled eggs, sausage crumbles and potatoes were at good levels, the cereals were full, the waffle station was clean and well stocked and the juice stations (3) were cold. Our 13yo grandson had tried it the day before and he was pleased with the pastry and cereal varieties. Just a side note while I'm talking about food, we did not try any of the Mom & Pop restaurants in the area, we just stuck to the places we knew, (Whataburger, Pizza Hut, McDonald's) so I can't really speak about local dining. Overall, our stay was great. The hot tub issue was unfortunate, but nothing is perfect. I hope that what I have provided helps.

The beds as usual in the USA are super comfortable. The breakfast was allright - you always find something better in other places but you are not going out empty stomach. A smart TV would be great or the possibilty to plug in our devices and stream. Wifi was working good. We had problems with our first room - we had a connection door and our neighbour was unreasonable loud. Luckly the lady at the reception changend us the room. But there the TV was not working - we had to wait for an technican (was very helpful) to sort it and we lost over an hour for that. And than the shower was not working either - nearly no water came out of it - but we couldnt be asked to change again the room - to tired and too much hassle and effort.

Our stay exceeded our expectations based on some of the reviews we read. The staff were helpful, friendly and did their jobs well. Our room was nice, clean, and plenty of room. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp white and comfortable. The breakfast had a wonderful variety of food and beverages. No one should walk away hungry. We thoroughly enjoyed our service and stay.

This hotel was absolutely spotlessly, clean with a delicious breakfast, very comfortable bedding and a staff that bent over backwards to be of assistance. All of the staff that I had an experience with were over-the-top helpful. Here is a shout out Lindy, Susan, and Trina

‼️DO NOT STAY HERE‼️ Paid $300 for 2 rooms and didn't even stay because there were roaches everywhere in BOTH rooms. The lady at the front was SO RUDE about the situation when I was kindly explaining to her what happened. Still havent received a refund.

Very clean and great staff. Manager was amazing at getting me in a room very quickly and before 3 check in time. I was traveling to drop daughter of at camp stay here for the night. Beds super cozy and the ac works great

My over night stay at Best Western Plus Classic Inn is always an enjoyable and comfortable experience! The desk clerk was pleasant and very knowledgeable of the motel, the room smelled and looked fresh and clean and the outside grounds the front entrance and lobby was clean and neat!

The electricity went out in middle of the night. There were no exit signs illuminated in hallway and no emergency lighting in the stairwells. If we needed to evacuate, this would have been a disaster! The hotel had multiple safety code violations.

This used to be a great hotel we would stay at annually, not so much anymore. No real breakfast buffet, the linen was stained (yuk) and I have never encountered a hotel that uses Fabuloso to clean, thats all you smell down the halls.

We had an enjoyable stay. The staff is awesome the front desk, housekeeper and lady that prepared breakfast. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk went of her way to work with us on requests. We will stay there again on our next visit in August.

Bugs, bugs and bugs. I was in room 101 with my wife. All started well until I feet things crawling on my face at 4:00am. I immediately jumped out of bed, turn on the bed light and saw 2 bugs that appeared similar to June Bugs. As soon as the light came on the bugs scurried under the pillow toward the wall and down the mattress. We left immediately. I spoke to the front desk attendant named Jackson and advised him what happen and suggested they close the room off until a pest control company could inspect the room. I called the manager the following Monday and explained my experience. She denied the existence of bugs and further explained that the subsequent guests had not reported any insect encounters. They rented out the room without inspection! If you're traveling to or through Central, TX, BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL.

We had a great room that was very clean. The toilet would not shut off and Best Western amenities are pretty spartan. Some trouble with elephants dancing on the fourth floor but they tired and went to bed early. Breakfast was a complete train wreck. The attendant did not come in and the desk agent chose to spend more time complaining that filling the service void. You name it, they were out of it by 8:30 am. At check in we were told breakfast ended at 10 am on Sunday, it actually shut down at 9 am.

The general manager Heather N. Matlock was caring,friendly, went out of her way to make us comfortable. She kept the floors in the lobby clean and also the eating areas. She met all our needs in a friendly manner. The pool was clean and inviting. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious . We required a room close to the elevator and she provided it for us. Thank you Best Western for making my Mother's Day weekend happy and fun!

Check in was welcoming (Jessica). Room size - excellent Very nice to have shampoo bottles rather than foil packs Beds - comfortable, Pillows - comfortable, Room was quiet, Shower was very pleasant. Check in was quick and efficient.

I've stayed at this motel multiple times on an annual business trip. The rooms and the whole motel are clean. The breakfast is good. The staff are all a credit to Best Western, friendly, competent, always willing to assist. I'll be back there next year without fail. Thank y'all!

We drove from Kansas to Center, TX and arrived before dark. The hotel looks nice from the outside and parking wasn't a problem. We checked in and went to our room before heading to dinner. Room was fresh and clean. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure for the shower was okay. We had no issues with the internet. Breakfast was so-so but they had fresh fruit so that was a plus.

This is a good place to stay in the area. A lot of workers stay at the property, so it is beginning to show some wear. The people that work there are super nice and do a good job. I will stay at this hotel again.

The staff at this hotel is amazing and you could not find no better. I recommend this for anybody Heather and her staff is top notch. You cannot find a better staff and a better place to stay the best western in Center, Texas.

We first stayed at the Best Western Plus Classic Inn & Suites in Center, TX in September 2021 and were quite happy with our stay. Our September 2022 experience was nothing like our first. On this visit, we encountered a tremendous amount of maintenance and cleanliness issues; enough to trigger assignment to 3 different rooms during a 3 night stay. I will not provide specifics here as they have been provided to the general manager at the hotel as well as to BW Corporate. For travelers who are considering a stay at this property, I would suggest considering alternative lodging options. If you do choose to stay at this hotel be aware that both of the non smoking rooms that we were assigned to on the 4th floor smelled like smoke. If you are a non-smoker, you may prefer a room on an alternate floor. Also, at the time of our stay, a mechanical/plumbing type noise recurred with regular frequency throughout the night. The sound was quite loud and it woke us several times during the night; some may wish to avoid room 315 for this reason. The staff, both front desk and housekeeping were very pleasant and as hospitable as possible.

Staff member, Lindy, I believe, was super efficient and friendly at check in. Offered recommendations for places to eat in the area. She was very helpful. Room was nice and clean. Cleaning staff was very helpful as well.

Room was clean and staff was friendly but halls and general areas were very dirty. Light in my room wouldn't turn off and flickered all night long. AC was off when I was arrived and the room was very warm. I couldn't get the roomer cooler than 73. I was going to ask for a new room but when I saw the condition of the ice machine I decided I didn't want to try a different room and left early.

Clean, Friendly Staff, Safe, Easy Parking, Easy Check-in and out, No strange smells, Many Breakfast Options, checked in really late-woman and alone-absolutely no frills. All 3 staff members took a moment to personally converse with me. Went downstairs an hour before breakfast and staff had hot fresh coffee for us early risers. Unexpected so it helped kick start a positive day for me. Extensive research for a cheaper price in neighboring towns left me horrified. Unacceptable for me is Pests, trash, greasy carpet/bedding and loud transients as I would rather sleep in my car! It's a small town with limited options so critics need to stop complaining about the breakfast options or the staff not running towels right to their room. They need find an ih0p and a ritz C@rlton who would be happy to find them pacifiers. Not only was it my best “option” it will now be my only “option!” No matter the drive, this is now my East Texas place to stay. Happy with price for my comfort-which is priceless Slept like a baby, I was there for only 9 HOURS and this place made quite the impression on me as I rarely leave reviews…. Highly Recommend

The ceiling had a Giant water Bubble and a hole about the size of a silver dollar in it. did not think anything about it was going to report it the next morning. A severe storm came in that night and lots of rain at 3 am, and i was awaken by the drip, drip, drip of the water coming thru the hole in the ceiling. I placed a trash can with a towel in it to absorb the drip noise. So needless to say I did not sleep much. I advised the front desk when I went down for breakfast and she said, why did you not call down here we would have moved you, my reply was.....I am not packing my stuff all up and moving to another room at 3am, I would have just packed up and left the hotel then. makes no sense

Hotel was nice. Beds are super comfortable. Our bathroom hadn't been swept but it was tolerable. The front desk ladies were extremely helpful and friendly. Would stay here again if I'm ever on my way through!

Amazing in all the right ways, relaxing hotel allowing you to perform the work/leisure you need to glide through life accordingly. I was checked in immediately, when requesting anything there was never an issue or hesitation on the part of the hotel staff, especially the property manager Heather. Overall I would definitely stay here again, even if it was slightly out of the way. 10/10 on everything that matters. PS : The rooms were immaculate.

Great hotel: quiet, clean, great location. Staff customer service needs improvement. I perceive the older staff member to be rude and inconsiderate. As I approached the front counter (before I could speak one word), she told me "I won't be able to understand you with that mask on!" My visit was during the peak of Omicron variant and I felt she was asking for me to put my health and hers at risk. And she made the statement in a very rude tone and demeanor without even hearing me speak first.

One of the best people I've come across in years checked me in to the hotel. I arrived much later than expected and she actually called to confirm that I was going to make it and she was extremely pleasant on the call. When I got there (after 10:00 pm) there was a note saying to call her and she'd come right down, that she was "cleaning". She hustled to the desk and apologized and knew me by name as she was expecting me. I asked why she was cleaning this late and assumed that y'all are having a difficult time finding good help. I was wrong. She said she loved to stay busy at her job as it made her feel better and that she apologized for not being at the desk when I got there. She was amazing! I think she is a great example for others as she has the right attitude and if she lived in my hometown, I'd steal her away. Y'all better take care of her. Her name by the way is "Trinity". Don't let that employee get away!

we had a family reunion and the front desk lindy tacha was the sweetest person east check in and out she made sure we had everything she really took care of us and it was really pleasant to stay in!!!

Check in was very quick and easy but the tv in the room did not work for half our trip and we had roaches in our room the last morning we woke up. The fitness room was small but worked fine for 1-2 people to be able to get a quick workout in while on the road. When we checked out the staff were really rude to each other and had a poor attitude. I didn't mention the roaches in the room to the front desk lady when we were checking out because she was already yelling at her coworker in front of all the guest trying to check in or out. Wouldn't recommend.

I would give a ZERO star for broken toilet seat, if Trip Advisor would let me! I checked into this suite tonight at 9:30pm. I immediately noticed the toilet seat is broken. And has been broken for a while. One of the hinges is missing. It's dangerous and hazardous to sit on it because it swings. I call the front desk immediately to inform them. Their response was “well we can't move you because we don't have another room”. It's impossible to sit on this seat without falling. A working toilet has to be least accommodation for a hotel! This is unacceptable. I've stayed at many Best Westerns and I've enjoyed every single stay but this is absolutely unacceptable!

First of all the toilet was broken. There were no towels in the room. The telephones did not work in the room and there were 2 of them. Don't stay at this God forsaken place ever!! Go somewhere else that cares about its clients.

Tonight when I arrived the hotel clerk could not understand how to work a 3rd party payment issue. Instead of calling the 3rd party the employee instead cancels the reservation and once she was questioned why she canceled the room without doing her due diligence I was told to leave and was threatened with law enforcement coming to remove me from the property. One of the most unprofessional things I've ever witnessed from a best western employee.

Unfortunately our visit to Center ,;Texas was not for pleasure . We were fleeing from hurricane Ida which made landfall in our hometown of Houma , La. We were very distraught when we reached the hotel knowing that a category 4 hurricane was about ready to strike our hometown and possibly destroy everything that we owned . The wonderful staff of the Best Western Plus went out of their way to make us and our pets feel welcome and safe . The hotel is very nice . The rooms are spacious with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to multiple restaurants , a Wal Mart, tractor supply , cvs , and many other retail stores. The town of center , Texas is charming with a beautiful Building from the 1800s. I highly recommend Best Western plus in Center , Texas and will always stay at this hotel when in the area . The manager , Heather as well as all of the very nice ladies that staff the front desk are an asset to Best Western . Thank you staff of Best Western Plus For making us feel welcome!

Staff is kind and courteous! The rooms are clean, the lobby and dining area is clean and smells good. The breakfast was great and most of all the hot tub and pool was open. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and when we go back we will stay at the Best Western again!

I would just like to say that Linda the lady who was on nights and cooked the breakfast kicked butt! I came Monday to visit my Husband who is at this hotel with his job. I had such an amazing experience I came by Wednesday and left this morning. She was so kind, and helpful with me surprising him for his birthday. The Breakfast was hands down the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. She is sweet and just an all around Angel! We will definitely be back with or without the company. Thank you again!!

Don't stay here. You'll be belittled and called rude for asking for towels and no support from management. I have my own video of being belittled just for being called rude. I've always stayed here when visiting Center. They've changed staff and all I can say is I will be sharing the disrespectful video once I get situated at home at the unprofessionalism and disrespect I encountered.

Great place to stay. Room was great bed was great. I was very pleased with everything. Breakfast was great. The hotel staff was awesome. Kandy was who checked me in she was fast and very helpful. I had a great stay and will be back.

Our stay was really good. The front desk lady who checked us in was awesome. I didn't catch her name, but she was great. Even though we missed breakfast she went in and got us food and juice. Breakfast is over very early which was the only problem.

Problems with electricity. Elevators were out of order on arrival and my rooms were on the 3rd floor. Dirty room and found a live cockroach on one of our beds. Electricity went out on first night for a while which caused problems with internet. Front desk couldn't tell me when it would be fixed or if it would be fixed.

Best Western is one of my favorite hotels. Some are a little pricey but you pay for convenience and cleanliness. I would recommend Best Western to a friend or family member. The bed slept so good. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Rooms and Hotel were both clean. Beds were comfortable and have no complaints. Staff were friendly upon checking in and hotel seemed to be well maintained. Just avoid the Taco Bell/KFC next door......

We stayed here overnight on our road trip across the US. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, the shower is powerful and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. A great breakfast too. If ever we travel through this way again we'll be sure to stay here.

I have been here in the past. Even better than before,and it was great then. I was there with my dog,and there were no problems. All the people were very nice. There was severe weather,and it was handled nicely

Everything was awesome! Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good and had alot of choice . Fitness center was open 24/7 which was super helpful. Location was good, right off the main street. They even had a list of restaurants to go to.

Good Most of the stay was good. The room and bathroom were both clean. The breakfast choices were the same each day, but they were good. Not good The fourth floor hallway was uncomfortably warm, actually hot. I found out at check out that a new unit was on order. Why didn't the owner put 3 portable chillers in the hallway to blow some cool air down the hallway until the new unit is installed?

it was great. the service at the front desk was friendly. They had my room ready when i got there and they called me by name at check in. The room was clean, the breakfast was great. Loved that they had the creamers in pump and 3 different kind.

I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. Casey was amazing! They were having elevator difficulties, but everyone made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic! Made my mornings very enjoyable. The pool was very clean. We ended up staying in the pool for about 4 hours. There were ample pool towels and seating. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The lobby was very clean and smelled great. The outside landscape was so beautiful. The pool area was very neat and tidy. Our room was very large and we had plenty of space in the room for all of our luggage and ourselves!! We didn't bump into each other like some hotel rooms. These were very spacious and luxurious! The sheets smelled so nice. The room smelled of citrus when we walked in. Made me think we went somewhere tropical! Thanks for our very enjoyable stay! Will stay on our next visit to Center!!!

One of the most miserable nights of my life. The pillows were huge causing my neck to be at an odd angle. The sheets were very rough. Don't know if they were very worn or just poor quality.....maybe both. The desk chair was very worn and shabby looking. We were unable to get the tv to turn off and finally had to unplug it. The building overall could have been a lot cleaner. Dirt and dust near the baseboards was obvious and the dining area did not have that spic and span look that some hotels manage to keep. They need to work on their housekeeping. Oh, and when we arrived there and went to our room, someone else's shoes were outside the door in the hallway. We had to go back to the desk and ask for another room. There are nicer places to stay in Center.

We've stayed at this Best Western many times in the last year and we always appreciate the cleanliness, service, professionalism, and the overall hospitality of this location. Casey and the other employees go out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and feel at home.

Good clean rooms very good breakfast and courteous staff highly recommend. Will be back again many times it's always a pleasure to say there every time we come. I stay there 10 to 30 days a year the front desk staff is excellent

The hotel was clean and affordable. It was close to food and shopping in the area. The staff was nice and breakfast was good. We were here for a basketball tournament. Only stayed one night but would stay again.

We always choose Best Western when we travel to Center, TX. This location has the best staff of any hotel we have used during our travels. The staff is extremely kind, caring and accommodating! They go above and beyond!I highly recommend this hotel!

The service is great service, breakfast bar so good and always kept replenished, and rooms are always clean. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. A very safe environment whether you are staying alone or with a group.

Staff very helpful and I do plan to stay at Best Westerns on my next trip across country. It pays to be a rewards member. I would like to have had a variety of milk cartons to choose from at breakfast but other than that all was a great experience.

This was such a small town, so every place we went to was going to stand out. This place put some of the places in big cities we've been in, to shame. I can't remember the last time I actually chose to stay at a Best Western but like I said this place was awesome. We had a king bed with pullout couch. The bed was comfortable, this pillows were soft and firm. The air conditioner worked perfect and the bathroom was nice and big. We got in super late but had no problems getting in. When we got ready to check out the front desk was fast and friendly. Even told us their local Sheriff's grandson was on TV and to vote. Goooooo Cole!! We appreciated hotel and even the waffles were in the shape of Texas ( and delicious)! Thanks for everything!!

Exceptionally clean room. I am very very picky about clean and this place did not disappoint; from the common areas to the room itself there was not a smudge, stain or stray particle of dust to be found. The room was decorated in a trendy style although a little dark for finding things in your suitcase. Staff were not just helpful and professional but also friendly and kind. Mattress was average but towels and sheets missed the mark when they felt a little scratchy. The free breakfast was good and overall it was a better than expected stay and I would stay here again. Room had a fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron and coffeepot. It was a first floor room with very quick and easy access to our vehicle. Again, very very clean room.

I had one of the best experiences at this hotel. Staff is probably the best that I've ever had with any hotel. Rooms are large, beds comfortable and the hotel is clean. I would recommend staying here anytime!

Nice hotel, appears to be fairly new. Comfortable & quite. Staff was very professional. Beds were great. It was a busy weekend for them but everything was relatively quiet. It would be nice if they had a relationship with their local restaurants for referrals & offered discounts

We spent two nights at this hotel, and were very happy with our choice. We were there for a family reunion and two other sets of cousins also stayed and were satisfied. I had scrambled eggs and one sausage patty for breakfast. The food was hot and the coffee good. The king room was large and the bed very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Very impressed with this motel . If in this direction again we will definitely stop again ! We stay in a motel at least 20 nights a month and this has beat them all ! Their breakfast was wonderful ! Bacon sausage eggs biscuits gravy oatmeal two flavors waffles muffins bagels toast 4 cereals !

The staff members were very accommodating. The rooms were up to date, well decorated, and clean. The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel. They had variety. I think my favorite is the juice. lol

This is an excellent hotel. The price is very reasonable. The staff is extremely helpful & caring. They always go above & beyond in meeting guest needs. We stay here several times eacch year & would highly recommend it!

After a day on the motorcycles we stopped in Center. This BW was a great value, helpful staff, deceant nights sleep. Seemed relatively new. Breakfast was hot in the AM. Center isn't a big town so finding a brand name hotel in east TX was a good thing! I'd have no issue staying here again.

Hotel had subtle differences over other local hotels we checked out that made the experience better. i.e. nicer lobby, more convenient breakfast area, faster internet, more spacious room, better decor, etc... The biggest difference was the service. the 4 or 5 people we got to interact with were genuinely interested in helping. The last thing worth mention was the price. Not sure why their price was considerably lower than nearby hotels but it definitely had nothing to do with their amenities or quality.

The room was okay, someone kept dropping something on the floor either above us or beside us. The next morning I got up to take a shower and there was no water at the shower. Would not recommend at least room 204.

Very nice hotel and staff very friendly, very accommodating for all the kids and needs for the families staying here. Breakfast was great and they have 24hr coffee!! Pool is very nice. Nice fitness area. Really close to restaurants and stores.

only complaint was our room did not get cleaned next day so we had no clean towels or sheets and trash cans was full. Breakfast and front desk staff was awesome!! Hotel was packed for Regional Baseball tournament

Clean from the outside but pull the sheets back and your in for a surprise!!!! Hair everywhere!!! How nasty is that. That definitely is not my hair, my husband or my son's hair. Thats enough to not even give this place a STAR. I'm a clean person the cleans the room and Lysol the entire room before touching anything. Addressed the issue with staff and they said sorry. The blanket even had a brown substance on it. The lights flickered all night. Have videos of everything but only able to post pictures. I had a late check out when we checked in, but when I complained last night and this morning Robyn and another staff reported they usually charge for late check out which speaks volumes about small town penny pinching places. I stay in hotels quite often for business, work, and play and have never experienced any thing like this. Difference between the city and country. If I have a problem in the city they make it right!!!We did not sleep in the beds slept on air mattress and the towels were stained, in which I didn't complain because I don't use them anyway. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!! If you like filth this is the place to stay!!! They have some decent ratings is why I went here but maybe they didn't pull the sheet back and just got in bed!!!!

Hotel was excellent, clean and very nice staff. Food was always fresh and good. Location was good lots of places to eat around. Gym and business center very good as well, will be returning soon. Has a pool too

I have stayed at this location many times, never have I been disappointed. I plan to stay again in September for Center homecoming activities. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in Center for business or pleasure.

This is a luxury hotel, in a small town, without the luxury price. This place is spic and span inside and out. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hot breakfast is very good. Casey checked us in and Kandy checked us out. In between, they went out of their way to make us feel at home.

Comfortable room with all the amenities I could ask for. The hotel was close to dining. The staff was exceptional and seemed genuinely interested in making sure my stay was enjoyable. The free breakfast was good. I will be back!

With my job I travel every week. Most of the hotels I stay in (brand name) have a comfortable bed these days, but the breakfast is "iffy" depending on the hotel. This week I stayed at Best Western in Center, Texas. The breakfast was perfect. For once, the scrambled eggs were not dry, but juicy...not runny, juicy. The gravy was perfect and so was the sausage and biscuits. I found out who prepared the food and her name was Candy! So, if you're staying in Center, Texas, check out the Best Western. If Candy's cookin', then it should be tasty!

First impression when arriving was this will be a good place. It did not disappoint. All the staff we encountered during the stay were friendly and customer oriented. The room was clean and in good shape. The breakfast was very good and kept fresh. Will return when in the area.

My wife & I stayed @ this hotel for one night while traveling through the area, but we were very pleased it. It was clean & very well maintained. i would definitely recommend it & I personally look forward to staying there again next time we are in the area.

The entire experience and stay was outstanding and absolutely enjoyed by my family and I. The grounds were clean, manicured, and well maintained. The overall Building itself was clean and the lobby was pristine in appearance. Desk staff was professional in appearance and demeanor. The cleaning crew was friendly and professional. Room had an excellent appeal and the appearance and comfort exceeded my expectations. The pool area was nice and the vending machines were adequately stocked. It was a very pleasant stay.

Hard not to be pleased, very clean and fresh, modern and new with an above average breakfast. Went out of the way (Center vs. Nacagdoches) to stay here and it was worth the modest detour. From the Timber Frame entrance, the flowering landscaping, and cheerful staff, you won't regret your stay here. We didn't and couldn't have been more pleased with value received.

We stayed overnight, my husband, myself and two of our children. The hotel was quiet. We slept well and undisturbed. The hotel is newly built and everything looks so clean, nice, and new. They have a great complimentary breakfast. Belgian waffles, yogurt, cereal, danishes, muffins, chicken fried steak, biscuits, gravy, bacon, brisket, and a selection of juices. For a family of 4, the breakfast we had more than paid for the price of our room. Great value!

The service is great here! The staff is attentive to the customers. They work hard in keeping the hotel clean and functional. The breakfast is good and well maintained. The rooms are very nice looking. We stayed for pleasure but this hotel would definitely make an excellent place to stay for business. We look forward to returning.

We didn't have reservations and was only staying one night. The girl at check in treated us as if we were the most important guests she had. Friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nice furnishings and lots of "extras" we didn't expect in a small town hotel. We ended up staying an extra night and would recomend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is very clean and everyone is very friendly. The location is convenient to major thoroughfares, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in the area. Only minutes from Center town square & popular businesses like Walmart, Tractor Supply, Whataburger, etc. It's a great value in historical small-town Texas.

This place is always nice. We stay here whenever working in the area. The staff are always friendly, the property is very nice and the rooms are comfy and clean. This is a small town, but there are a couple of places to eat close by. One sandwich chain nearby was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. We will be back next time we are in the area.

I've stayed at this Best Western multiple times. Each time it has been great & such a value. Hotel staff is very friendly; rooms are nice size; linens are crisp; big bathroom counter for all my stuff. Breakfast is satisfactory. Will stay there again.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. We thought this hotel couldn't be more than a year old but found out it was five years old. Very clean rooms, great breakfast and comfortable beds. They staff was friendly and helpful. This will be our hotel of choice whenever we come to visit our family.

Firstly, one must realize their surroundings and adapt. For the area, this isn't a bad hotel, but it has some quirks. Like the elevator has to be the oldest and SLOWEST in history. There are serious waits for the elevator. Our coffee pot dad not have a lid, so we were unable to make coffee in our room. Other than those two items, it was an OK stay, the folks were nice who worked the desk. We kinda like BW because of their REWARDS PROGRAM. THis one didn't quite measure up to the BW Plus Hotels. Remember, this is just one opinion. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. THe TV sucked big time. Could only get about 6 stations.

Upon returning to our room for the night, there is no plug to stop the bath so Hubby goes to find one. After 40 minutes, he returns and tells me he had to go to our car, find a tool, and proceed to go to another room in which he was directed to, pull the drain out and bring it to our room. Why would any hotel let a guest do this? Not so relaxing. The bath was tight after that and worked well I must say, and the breakfast was lovely. Not the cleanest rooms ever, but they were OK.

the only problem we ran into was the card reader was broken on our door. it was very inconvenient to have to wait 15 minutes each time to get back into our room. but on the other hand our front desk lady (Paula) was amazing. Funny & Welcoming. she set the whole atmosphere for the hotel stay :)

I have stayed multiple times at the hotel in Center, Texas over the past few years (about 8 or 9 times each year)- the customer service has always been excellent and friendly, and on a first name basis. This is the most accommodating hotel I've ever stayed at- they really focus on the customer- whether it's a room request, breakfast request- you name it. Each morning, I regret having to get up so early for work & wish I could have a few more hours in their comfy beds. The AC has always worked (vital in Texas), the rooms are clean, the other guests are quiet, and the premises are very safe & welcoming. It's always been a great stay!

The hotel in center Gave Great service and I would stay again AT A Best Western Plus. The location was very good in an area close to many of the thing I needed to do. The service from all staff was very good. They did not get frustrated when confrounted with problems. The appearance of the hotel was all ways very in order, The meeting rooms was very net.

We went to visit family so we stayed here. The check-in was very smooth and the young lady that waited on us was extremely nice. We got the suite and it was the perfect size. The price was very, very reasonable. After dinner, we were able to bring family back to our room and visit in the sitting area. There was plenty of seating for the 6 of us. The hotel and room were both clean and everything looked new. Breakfast was good and there was a nice selection to choose from. If in Center, I recommend this hotel.

Book our stay here on TripAdvisor. Charges were kept to booking. We didn't have any hidden fees. During our stay the rooms were great. Clean, plenty of space. Didn't have any problems with provided wifi. Even brought our personal Roku device to watch favorite TV shows. Morning meals were fresh and hot. Staff allowed us to carry plates to the room for our children to keep from disturbing dining guests. Staff was very helpful ad courteous. No complaints from this visitor. We will be choosing Best Western again for our future travels.

Initial contact with staff checking in was great. Decent room and helpful advice. A great night sleep. Breakfast was not good at all! The night staff was asleep on the sofa in the guest area - fruit and other food stuff not available as it had not been purchased. Corn Dogs was option!? The gym area had not been cleaned - no towels, equipment that was not functioning etc. There is an issue with the wifi here. At the time of the review, the hotel was been used by a local oil field. Crews working shift would revolve and as soon as they accessed the internet on their return, the wifi could not handle it. A real shame for what could be a real decent hotel.

I traveled 20 miles away from where I was working to stay at this Best Western. I passed over a Fairfield Inn to stay at a Best Western. Why? Because I know I am going to get a quality room at a good price. This is a very nice hotel tucked away in Center, Texas so if you want a very nice room and you are willing to travel few miles out of the way then find theis hotel. Great staff and very modern hotel.

My wife and I had a King room and my Sister-in-law had the adjoining Double Suite. We were there to visit family. The rooms were perfect and well maintained, We highly recommend this property! The Staff was excellent and the Breakfast was real eggs, and breakfast sausage was great. Waffles were very nice as well. Absolutely a very positive experience!

This is a great hotel for the cost. I have stayed here more than once and always found it to be clean with a friendly staff and large rooms. The breakfast is much better than most. Real eggs and real sausage. They even offered blueberry waffles.

We've stayed at this Best Western numerous times over the past few years and are happy to call it our home away from home. Conveniently located at the intersection of Hwy's 96 and 87 in Center, TX, the hotel is just a few minutes from downtown Center and offers easy access to the surrounding communities in the Shelby County area. The building is a relatively new four-story structure set atop a small rise. The staff is very friendly and professional; They have gone out of their way on several occasions to help us with last-minute lodging arrangements and special requests. The rooms are quiet, clean and well-appointed, the decor contemporary. They have a broad range of amenities including a pool and hot tub, complimentary WiFi, a small laundry room available to guests, a modest conference room and a work-out room with an assortment of updated machines. They offer a filling breakfast buffet of eggs, breakfast meats, biscuits, bagels, assorted cereals and a bonafide Texas shaped waffle iron featuring Golden Malted waffle mix and syrup. There's even a KFC/Taco Bell a comfortable distance across the parking lot for when those late-night munchies strike. Overall this is the nicest, most comfortable hotel we've found in the area. Whether on vacation or away from home overnight for work, it's comforting to know you have a place you can truly relax and get a restful night's sleep.

We spent two nights here. Casey, the front desk clerk, was cordial, efficient and friendly. We had a king suite which was a very good sized room with plenty of space to lounge and move around. The room had a large flat screen TV and a microwave and refrigerator. The room was clean with extra nice bedding with a very firm mattress. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was typical hotel fare: eggs, gravy, biscuits, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal. There was a business center and outdoor spa and pool, but we did not use these amenities. Overall this was a nice stay.

We were in E. Texas for the weekend and needed a place to stay. We picked this hotel because of the Trip Advisor reviews and it was a Great choice. Everything was clean and fresh and the staff was awesome. As we checked in I was teasing g with the lady at the desk and asked what was for breakfast the next morning. She mentioned bacon or sausage and I said "Make it bacon." Sure enough the next morning we had bacon with our scrambled eggs and biscuits. She remembered my comment because as we checked out she asked if I got my bacon. Real small town hospitality!

We have stayed here before when working in area, so re-booked since we had great experience first time. It was just as nice this go-round. The staff are super nice, the hotel is very clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and updated. If you are in the area, this is a great place for a great price.

This was the best , BW we have ever stayed in !!! Room was perfect, employees were perfect, breakfast was perfect, everything was without question, just wonderful! We have stayed in over 50 hotels this year alone and we were so surprised that such a great hotel was sitting in Center Texas!!!

A solid sleep is what counts most, and that is what we got. The motel is a nice, modern place with friendly people. My wife says it got her spoiled for the rest of our road trip. I was quite surprised it did not cost more than it did.

Great place to stay. Large rooms, very nice "gathering" places. Huge sitting area in the lobby. Many breakfast options. Truly a surprise. Relatively new property, and very well-maintained. Small conference room available if needed. Private business center.

The best western has never done me wrong. Front desk hospitality. Yummy breakfast. Clean pool. Fast internet. Hands down best hotel in center that I've stayed at. I've had dealing with the sleep inn and holiday inn and Hampton and ONLY because the best western was fully occupied! Thanks best western for the great experience every time I stay!!
