Best Western Plus Hotel Carrizo Springs Inn & Suites, Carrizo Springs

I spent a week at this location. The room was well kept, the hotel clean. The gym includes a nautilus style weight machine which is a nice addition to the cardio options. There is a basic outdoor pool which is nice for this warm location. Front desk staff (San Juan) was very helpful accomodating me and making local restaurant recommendations. The best part though has been the breakfast! Juan Ramirez, the breakfast cook makes his own salsa and pico de gallo from scratch to complement the tex mex offerings as well as the typical waffles, toast, yogurt, etc. Juan has made something new every morning which is a great way to start my day. Traveling for work I have seen it all and this has been BY FAR the best included hotel breakfast I have ever had. I would come back to this hotel just for the breakfast!

Check in was friendly and helpful. Night clerk was very helpful. We had a large room with plenty of towels. There were 2 TV's but the service was out the next morning. Breakfast was very early as this hotel caters to the oil industry. Breakfast was varied and good. Newer hotel.

The room was very clean and quiet. Access to the parking lot is form a street off the main highway, at a traffic light. The other locations at this end of town are off the main highway, which mean you have to almost stop on the highway to enter their parking los.

The hotel is what you expect when you rent a room. Clean, comfortable, updated and relaxing. I have no issues what so ever with the room. But the thing that would bring me back to this particular spot is the breakfast! Ms. Sally and Ms. McKenzie cook up a great breakfast. Its not the standard "Texas Waffle" and eggs (although they are available) but they go out of their way to cook up some good authentic South Texas food. No reheated breakfast meals here! OMG! Stay here if for no other reason than the breakfast. Sally makes everything fresh and with love. No powdered eggs here. Large selection and very tasty. Room was large and comfy. Bathroom clean. Staff was friendly and helpful but you must start your day right with Sally. She is beyond amazing.

If you are handicap or unable to climb stairs - elevators was broken during our stay. Lighting was awful in the room and in the dining/breakfast area. Good thing I had other family to assist with suitcases

I rated this hotel 5 stars. A room is a room and a bed is a bed, as long as they're clean that's acceptable. One thing that takes any business beyond acceptable into the exceptional category is customer service. All hotel service was super friendly and helpful. One thing that really stuck out to me was the breakfast. Each morning there's a fresh selection of options of your choosing. However, everything seems to be home made and prepared differently then any hotel I've ever stayed at. Even the eggs were delicious and I'm not a huge fan of eggs, let alone eggs from a hotel breakfast. These weren't your ordinary eggs out of a box other places tend to serve, they were just cracked and mixed with fresh vegetables and meats. Not to mention they had an amazing chorizo the day before! That's one way to keep your customers coming. Thanks Best Western Corrizo Springs for such hospitality and customer service!

The food was great everyday fresh and original not your typical hotel food. Her hospitality was awesome always have a smile. Charro beans and refried beans with cheese great. Eggs with the works awesome all around great place. Thank you Aracely

For being an newer facility it was pretty run down. There were dust all over the furniture in the room, the shower head was full of crust, the elevator was filthy as well as the dirt filling the door tracks of the elevator on the 3rd floor and the main floor. The staff left the cart with the vaccum out in the hallway where the ice machine and vending machines were supposed to be and it was ridiculously filthy and covered in dirt. I see why nothing was clean if this is how they keep their equipment. The furniture and shelving was worn and dirty. Just really too much for me to keep listing. The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful but was disappointed in the house keeping standing around when there was so much cleaning that was needed.

Day 3 of no hot water!!!! After a long hard night, you have a cold shower to look forward to!!! Last time I stay here. I will be checking out this afternoon and finding elsewhere to stay!! Everyday when I leave for work I'm told it will be fixed today!!

Overall dirty facility. Needs to be cleaned inside and out. Staff were helpful but seemed not enough personnel to adequately address the issues of cleaning the facility. Breakfast food did not appear to be fresh.

Great access to all of Carrizo Springs especially oilfield related ,Nice friendly staff clean rooms and the best part of it all excellent breakfast not just your regular breakfast Homestyle cooked breakfast at its best.

All of the staff I encountered at this hotel were very professional and hospitable. My stay was approximately 3 weeks and I could see that everyone works very hard to accommodate the guests and keep a clean hotel. The breakfast in the morning took me completely by surprise. The food was delicious and I'm pretty sure homemade. Not your ordinary hotel continental breakfast for sure. Expect sit down café type food, obviously not ordering off a menu, but for sure the next best thing. Thank you Sally, you've definitely spoiled me, and added a few pounds. Keep the ketchup on the counter haha.

I stayed at the BW in Carrizo 4 night. The rooms were very clean. The best part for me was the excellent breakfast. Not just your regular continental breakfast, was real hot breakfast. Thanks Mrs Sally. It was great.

From when you walk in you are greeted with a smile and attentive towards ur stay. Clean rooms, but most important they smell clean makes you more comfortable when staying. What i loved the most is the variety of food that's given to you for breakfast, the menue is always different.. over all great experience nd always look forward to staying there.. keep up the good work

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this Best Western plus. I only complaint is feather pillows. They make my head so hot I wake up sweating! Stay here it's great! Price is a great price for the room and accomodations.

Great rooms and the breakfast was good. Nice beds and very. Clean. The fitness center was too hot The restaurant behind it was fantastic Mexican food- a must do. A small town but a great hotel. Very quiet.

Only one hour from Kikapoo Eagle Casino, it is at a very good price and you get a full breakfast, build your own burrito, plus fruit, yogurt, Danish for desert, all the works. There is fitness and business center. It is adjacent to a convenient store with food.

If you are in the area, this is a good place to stay. Comfortable bed, quiet room and a wonder breakfast. You can always get a good taco next door, cheap, and be near other small cities too. The price is reasonable, can't be beat.

Had to wait over 2 hours after check in at 7pm for room to be cleaned after I was given key and I entered to a filthy room. After, the bathroom sink had pubic hair as well as the bathtub. Mattress cover had appeared to be blood stain. Hotel was sold out, nothing was done, but wait for cleaning lady to return from home to clean.

Right in the middle of nowhere, literally... then BOOM, this gem pops up! The location is a prime spot of "working men" - traveling construction crews, oil riggers, etc - however it's also a spot to stop when on your way to MX. Regardless of how you're dressed (myself? I was in work boots and dirty jeans, right behind me was a man in a suit), we were treated equally, which speaks volumes! Staff is awesome, and I am definitely booking all of my crews here when we're in town.

I had an excellent experience at this property. It was conveniently located, well managed, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced, too. Good breakfast and fitness center. Check it out!

Hotel is in excellent condition. Everything was great. The breakfast choices were numerous. The room was very clean and in very good condition. The neighborhood seemed quite safe. The location is quite convenient.

I don't know how many tome you have to ask the same questions on your survey but maybe you need to inspect how hose keeping is cleaning your rooms.Other that that the room was alright but when I called to let the person at the front desk I explained my concerns and she want to put the head house keeper on the line with me that is not my job . I had already explained issue too her .

Super clean room and restroom. The ladies in the evening were very sweet. Woke up to an AMAZING breakfast of beans and egg tacos, eggs a la Mexicana, sausage, biscuits... Thank you Sally for my daughter's and my breakfast! We very much enjoyed it. Can't wait for my husband to stay in Carrizo Springs again!!

A great place to stay with exceptional amenities such ad nice lobby, business center, gym, pool, breakfast area, and brand new rooms. Great value also. Friendly staff. Comfy rooms and bed. Beautifully decorated and futted with microwave, mini fridge, and nicely equipped bathroom.

Stayed here while visiting family, all I can say rooms were very clean and room smelled clean , staff was so nice helpful and their breakfast is good has a great variety the kids enjoyed that we will definitely be booking here again

Breakfast was awesome! Not your typical continental breakfast items. If you want a good breakfast I recommend this hotel. Beds were sooo comfortable as well. Woke up well rested! Service desk personal was also super helpful.

This was a last minute trip and we got the room at a very good rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful,Very nice hotel It was very accommodating Room was a bit hard to find at first. Overall very good breakfast variety was great.

My husband and I travel quite a bit in our home state of Texas due to his line of work. He prefers Best Westerns state wide. Our favorite stay has hands down been the Carrizo Springs location. Araceli "Sally" Villalobos makes an incredible AM spread. The absolute Best in our book! Our Family bears roots from El Paso to Montgomery Counties and Dallas to Eagle Pass... Ms. Villalobos your culinary skill is a true talent!! A culmination of state wide seasonings come to life at this location. REMARKABLE! We look forward to a return visit.

I was here for a few days for work got to meet some of the staff Amber was by far the most helpful and the continental breakfast is pretty good better then a lot of places I've been to the rooms are clean

The eggs and chorizo make other hotel breakfasts pale by comparison! The hotel is comfortable and the staff is excellent and friendly. The in room internet was okay, not blazing fast but functional for simple work in the room tasks.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is also pretty decent and hot. The pool area is OK, but could be improved if it looked like someone cleaned the area. I am afraid that they don't clean the pool since the surroundings have beer cans, leaves etc.

The hotel is less than a year old, but is poorly maintained in the common areas. Floors are filthy. When I reported that there were no cups in my room, I was told I would have to come to the desk to get them. These should have been brought to my room. The internet might as well be non-existent.

Gotta say The hotel is always clean, Good to have when we come back from a 16+ hr shift everyday. When I sat down for breakfast at 5am I said to myself this is the best breakfast we've had outta all the places we stay at. Heard alotta he workers say it as well. Good Job Sally, you a great cook that goes for your helpers as well

There weren't a lot of hotel optiobs, but I'm glad we stayed in the BW Plus. It was clean and the staff was thoughtful. The first room we were given had a broken AC, but the front desk clerk immediately gave us a new room. Breakfast was good. Just a great stay. No complaints!

Just like an oasis would beckon you to hurry over, this BW rises from the dusty trail to invite you in to a cool haven. Theproperty is relatively new and in good condition. You can tell that management is concerned with appearance as there was fresh paint located in numerous locations. On the other hand I was disappointed to see some "out of order" signs on computer (not the only one), and ice machine on my floor, or wait was there not one there, can't remember, what I remember is finding it necessary to go down to first floor to get a cup of ice. Not the worst thing in the world but you know. Room was comfortable with a nice bed, TV, appliances, good bath linens, spacious bathroom, and internet worked very well. That about covers it, oh, pool looked nice, just was not hot enough yet for me to go jump in. Try it out, it is a comfortable place and about the nicest in town, don't be afraid to hang out in the "Brush" country. Oh, only one drawback was breakfast items were good but too much starch and fats for me, I'm big enough as it is.

This motel is very very nice and beautiful cleanest is my number 1...here to the house keepers ya do a GREAT JOB! FMi checked in at 4:30 and the front desk girl was may i say so very nice then the second shift came in she made us feel very welcome... And let us fead our family in the kitchen are being we were 13...in my family thank u BEAST WEASTERN..I MOST DEFINITELY GO BACK AND FAMILY TO

Great location, peaceful, nice, fresh paint, comfy bed, nice front desk folk. The location is in nice part of town, next to best restaurant in town, Red Dog. I enjoyed the big room with large bed. The internet service was non existent, could not get a signal, this was frustrating.

I have stayed numerous times with much success but this last visit, I lost the keys to my rental car on a walk and the desk agent gave me her car to go and find them. Unbelievable! And also, it's clean and quiet!

My stay was great! Comfortable bed, quite, and relaxing. After a long day from work, got to my room was able to sleep without being disturbed. Ms. Vanessa, thank you for your awesome customer service. You went above and beyond to answer my questions and help me get the stuff i needed for my room. Great Management!

This is a lovely hotel on the newer side. Rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy. Breakfast as a southwestern flare and served very early. Staff were friendly and helpful. And fresh baked cookies in the evening.

Good clean hotel. Best breakfast ever!!! Great cook Sally !! The kind of breakfast you pay for at nice place to eat. I wish more hotels were like this one. They really set a new standard for hotels. I will be coming to this hotel for such great service

Manager was very helpful with a problem I had. She like went above and beyond to resolve my issue. I am a Platnium member of Best Western and have stayed at them all over the place and have always had good service from them. But this Carrizo Springs Best Western is the Bomb. Manager Venessa and her staff are very out going there. I work night shift and where I stay has to have a Great continental breakfast and they got it here. I won't stay any where else when I'm in Carrizo Springs. Very clean rooms and the place smells good too. 5 ?? S for these guys !!!

This is the best hotel I have stayed at in a while. I stay at a lot of hotels since work has us all over the road and this one by far is the best. Great BREAKFAST, clean rooms, friendly service and GREAT BREAKFAST!!! Can't stress that enough I look forward to staying there again next time im in Carrizo Springs.

The hotel it's self is actually nice and is kept extremely clean. However, working on the road the Internet is important for me to get work done. The Internet here reminds me of dial up at best, the wifi signal is weak everywhere. This is something that always gets me about hotels, they set up so that you can connect through a Ethernet cord but they don't set it up. It's just being cheap, then in the evening when majority of the hotel is full don't even try to use it. The breakfast is actually really good. But because of the horrible Internet I won't be staying here again.

The breakfast is the best i have ever had at a hotel. just as good as home made. Sally does a great job. And at the front Vanessa and Phillip are very cheerful and helpful with any questions or concerns. It makes the stay there very nice!

Yes, the place can give you that peace of mind for a quick stop on your route. But I am not sure I would choose it for an extended stay. Specially with other options, literally in walking distance. Overall I would not mind coming back here, but probably not my first choice.
