Hotel Blue 66, BW Signature Collection

This is a great place to stay. Very clean rooms. Fully stocked. Easy parking. Awesome free breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms were clean but the pool and hot tub were closed and under maintenance when we stayed. The decor of the room was cute but there were sensor lights that turned on with the slightest movement and they were bright so if you are a light sleeper don't stay here. We also had an issue with the tv. You could only change channels while standing next to the tv and pointing the remote behind the television. Otherwise the air conditioner worked great, the beds were comfortable and most importantly the room itself was clean.

Honestly, this is one of the cutest places we have stayed (especially for the price)! The room has recently been renovated in very retro colors with the Route 66 theme! Everything was clean and the staff were very accommodating! I highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area! The retro atmosphere was very relaxing, and the location was very convenient being close to I-40.

I booked my reservation by calling the phone number for Hotel Blue 66 directly. When I arrived, I was shocked by the condition of the property. The exterior looked run-down and neglected, and the interior was dirty enough that I did not feel comfortable staying. I left immediately without checking in. When I explained that I would not be staying because of the property's condition, I was told that I had booked through a third-party website such as Booking.com, even though I believed I had booked directly with the hotel. Despite never staying at the property, my card was charged for the reservation, and I ultimately had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. Rather than risk staying there, I paid an additional $100 to stay at a Holiday Inn instead. While I cannot comment on the rooms beyond my initial impression because I did not stay overnight, my experience with the property's condition, the way my concerns were handled, and the billing issue was extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property.

Right off interstate 40 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, is the blue 66, a best western hotel on the historic Route 66. This motel has the charm and decor of the days gone by. Check-in was easy and the staff, friendly. Upon entering our room, another step back in time with decor only - the rooms have been renovated with walk-in showers with hot water, not lukewarm like mini hotels. The rooms were clean and the beds gave us one of our best night sleeps on our journey. Breakfast was a full buffet with scrambled eggs, waffles muffins, and nice hot coffee with assorted creamers. Another perk was the value. Great price!!! When our travels take us back to Santa Rosa, we will definitely stay at the blue 66!!!!

This is an older property which has been remodeled in a fun, funky design related to Rt. 66. The decor was not newly done but had not been abused. There was a motion detector under the platform bed which helped at night. Friendly desk clerk. Comfortable bed with nice sheets. Lovely comforter. Room was very bright which was much appreciated. The shower was slippery. The AC was one of the worse to try to control--too cold, too hot. No place for hanging clothes. Breakfast was skimpy; the English muffin a brick before toasting!.

This place looks like something out of a movie! It is so cute. Everything is well done. The breakfast was good too. Best price for the value!

I usually stay at the BW up the road but when I saw this was in the BW family & had favorable reviews, I asked to see a room & WOW !!! They have done an outstanding job of updating & I happily settled in. Spacious, spotless, fridge/micro & in-room coffee. Easily accessible outlets for charging electronics. Lots of places to set your suitcases, etc. Slept well on super comfortable bed with nice linens. Astroturf pet area out front, sticker free, yay !!! Continental included fresh fruit, potatoes, scrambled eggs & sliced kielbasa & delicious green chili salsa !!! Kudos for excellent customer service at both check in & out. I felt my business was appreciated & will definitely be back :-).

Our room had a lot of bugs in it, including a big one that had been smashed into the wall. The hand soap dispenser was totally depleted. The front desk was nice enough, but the room looked new in some ways, while some details appeared a bit rundown. It gave me the impression of an unfinished remodel that had been bought up by new owners and then resumed by cutting corners. I would not recommend the place unless you had no choice. The breakfast was frankly terrible. I am not picky, but the coffee was watered down and tasted odd, the eggs were strangely pale and so discolored that I decided it would be best to avoid them. The potatoes were undercooked and soggy. My wife and I both felt nauseated afterwards from what little we ate and drank. If you HAVE to stay here, spare your stomach and bowels by bringing your own breakfast. My terrible rating is based more upon the breakfast than the room. The owners are obviously cutting corners to increase profit margins at the expense of the guests.

Hidden in what seems to be a dying little town, this is a hidden gem. Not very large, and at first glance, I was skeptical. The front desk was very helpful & was able to accommodate my request for a first floor room. The room was clean, and update. Things I thought wrre nice: the window shade with artwork was a surprise instead of curtains, the wall mural, keeping with the theme of Route 66 was also thoughtful. The color scheme overall was uplifting and cheerful. The bathroom fixtures were modern & up to date. There are plenty of outlets for your electronic devices throughout the room. Complementary coffee. Microwave and refrigerator. The flooring was not all carpet, which I particularly prefer because I feel it is more sanitary and easier to maintain. The lighting fixtures we're unique, I particularly liked the fact that when you get out of the bed, there are LED lights that automatically turn on around the footing of the Bed. So you don't have to fumble for a light switch to turn on in the middle of the night if you need to get up: I really liked that feature. Hot breakfast was also nice sausage, eggs and the potatoes were good. There were many other things to select from for breakfast, too many to list here. Bed was clean and comfortable, for sure! I would definitely recommend & return.

When we first pulled in we were relatively unimpressed. It looked clean and neat but otherwise what you'd expect from a road side motel. You walk in the room and it smells wonderful and new, the room is very large, lots of space for three adults and a dog. The shower was very clean and white with a good strong hot spray. The beds are very comfy and the pillows as well. Nice thick white towels, clean silver vinyl floor and a fun blind that makes you feel like you're looking out onto the surrounding Mesa's rather than the parking lot.

Conveniently located off I-40, well lit for late check-in, friendly and helpful staff, looks New. The room is large with lots of places to sit down your luggage. Comfy beds. Well light room, especially for a motel. Glass front fridge is a bonus so you don't forget putting items inside. Medium counter space in bathroom sink area. Walk in shower. Fun Route 66 decor. Most of all, it is clean. There are some items missing that may be just because it is new. Recommended additions: towel bars, hooks for used towels, grab bar in the shower, somewhere to hang hanging clothes. We will stay here again when passing g through Santa Rosa.

Great Bed....Comfy King. Great TV... 5 stars because they are new, and it was the PERFECT night on I-40. A+

I wanted to give this a five. It was clean, updated, comfortable bed, large TV. There was a dripping noise of some sort that was not in our room, but an adjoining one, or above, that was noticeable and went on all night long. The check in gentleman was very kind. Good location and tasty mexican restaurant right across parking lot.

Rooms are a 5*. Absolutely the best, most comfortable beds and pillows.oved how bright and accent lighting is amazing. Would add some hooks in the sink area for hanging coats. The shower was roomy and plenty of water pressure/hot water and we were the last room in the building. Reason we give a 4* was breakfast was mediocre. While the pancakes were good, coffee was barely drinkable, juices watered down, potatnot fully cooked and bagel very dry (fell apart when my husband tried to cut it for the toaster). Would stay again just for the beds.
