Best Western Plus Pearland/Houston Medical Center Hotel

Nice new hotel with well lit safe parking lot. Free breakfast included eggs, sausage, hash browns, muffins, fruit, cereal, juice, yogurt with 24/7 coffee. The room was roomy & ac worked great. Friendly front desk staff.

The hotel is very nice; it is brand new. I like the rooms were clean and location was perfect for us.

On the second day of our 3-night stay, there was a major leak coming from the AC unit that led to severe puddling, which ruined a brand-new air mattress I had out. The situation was not taken seriously at first, despite water damage being evident for an extended period of time. At first, management told us that someone would come fix the unit hours later, as no room was available in the hotel. 1 hour later, management supposedly found us a replacement room while we were waiting in the inhospitable room conditions. Overall, the location is fine, but management conducts the business in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Not recommended, discrimination, racial profiling and ADA violations are against the law. I told them at check in that I am a GOOGLE LOCAL GUIDE and DISABLED, trying to rest and relax 2 miles from my home because my AC broke! Why would I pay to sweat all day and night when I can do that at home for free and be more comfy? I don't have a tub at my house just shower and I like to soak, but the way I was treated is unacceptable and I want my money back! I have filed formal complaints but corporate took a week to get back to me, they are franchisees so they are no help anyway. They put loud rowdy, inconsiderate people in room next to me slamming doors and jumping around from last Sunday to Wednesday when they checked out, that made my immunity go down being rudely awakened at all times of the night. Breakfast consists of cold, slimy, old sausage and powdered eggs that have been picked over by a rude girl (she repeatedly REFUSED TO GIVE HER NAME SO I HAVE TO DESCRIBE HER) who is too busy eating the food to give me her name when I wanted to complain to corporate! Best Western International and the BBB have been notified as well as the health department because the nasty food made me sick and I stopped eating it and only got yogurt and fruit and the girl and the owner harass you, nickel and dime you, wont even print for you because of no business center! The people that run these federally funded hotels are like cartels. The brown spiders, the poop on the toilet, having to complain to EXPEDIA to get them to move me to a room with a tub, that new room not being cleaned, the AC was broken wouldn't move ABOVE NOR BELOW 71 degrees, etc. They don't wear gloves and I wouldn't trust them eating any of it since they are so cheap! The racism and blatant discrimination is illegal and you're in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS, not HOSTILITY. They didn't help me check out, and filled the elevator with maid equipment so I was trapped and couldn't get my cart in elevator to meet my Uber. So they tried to make me late checking out too! I had to pull one of the large blue carts out and my back is already hurting I'm disabled and I had to keep repeating it! The girl at the front desk never gave an apology for the unethical treatment and verbal abuse and assault at breakfast. I just ignored her otherwise it could have been an ugly confrontation. No apology was given they never gave me my 2 waters for being a valued DIAMOND member since 2019! I've been to BW all over the country and this one is the worst! its new but that's it! I wish it would've worked out better because its so close to my home and I can go back and forth to feed my pets and water my garden but NOPE!!! KITCHENETTE IS NOT EQUIPPED I HAD TO GO HOME TO GET POTS PANS AND COOKING SUPPLIES, NO DISH SOAP
