Resumen de la reserva
Stayed 2 nights, Sept 29 & 30. Room was clean, A/c worked well, and TV was good. Slept well. Because of work did not stay around hotel much. Overall property was clean. Friendly front desk. All in all, I would stay here again and recommend. Just to note, hotel allows pets, but none of them bothered me.
I had to change rooms due to the ceiling leaking toilet water which stopped up my toilet. It also has several roaches and I changed rooms and as soon as I closed the door two roaches were crawling on the back of the door, on the bed, and night stand.
The hotel is close to everything you need. A few loiterers occasionally 🙄 But it's clean, the staff is friendly, and they have the most amazing GM. Been coming here 15 years straight and Mr Johnny has always made sure all my concerns were addressed. 100% recommend
stay was good, another issue with pet fee, second time this has happened. Hope hotel corrects it and refund my money they over charged, or I might go somewhere else. Grounds were clean, breakfast was good.
Everyone there is personable, friendly and goes out of their way to help you. Broad selection for breakfast and every request is responded to efficiently and courteously. I always stay there when I am in town.
Great service (MJ), surprisingly clean, kids had an awesome time in the pool and the breakfast is better than most hotels i've stayed in...... biscuits and gravy are delicious. Highest recommendation.
We stayed here and had one problem after another, save yourself the time and headache and choose another hotel. The lady at the front desk could care less that we had problems and said she couldn't do anything until her manager/ owner came in the next day.
I rate this hotel 5 out of 5 stars mainly because of the staff that works there! We had a few hiccups with our reservation because we booked with third party but Heather Domingue did an incredible job in fixing our situation. She helped in every way she could. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She has amazing work ethic as she was off but drove to the hotel to help us figure out the issue created by the third party. The Best Western is lucky to have her as an employee.
We had such a wonderful experience at the Best Western in Zachary. My husband and I were there with our family from March 4th to March 11th. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles! The staff went above and beyond to meet any and all requests. I would like to thank Rashika and Heather, in particular. Heather granted a very special request to us and Rashika seemed to be there all the time, always with a smile! We will be back!
Experienced a few things that would be easily correctable however they were not corrected during my week+ stay. I was left without towels or with only one clean towel. I was traveling with toddlers and it was extremely inconvenient to have to go back downstairs to the front desk to have my key card reset every other day and then walk into the room and discover that there were not enough towels and no toiletries at all some days. Other than that it was extremely convenient in location, breakfast was great and the attendant for breakfast was wonderful Also, Robin at the front desk was really helpful.
From the moment we checked in, everything was great. Only problem we encountered was dead batteries in the remote, which the desk clerk fixed immediately. She was super sweet. Housekeeping was great as well. Breakfast was the best! I was expecting some grab n go junk but it was hot fluffy scrambled eggs, plenty of bacon, delicious biscuits and gravy! Plus others. Checkout was a snap. Definitely going back.
The room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The angle at which the remote had to be held to properly access the channel or volume button was aggravating. The options at breakfast was amazing. I had no issues with my keycard working. Internet was spotty. I would stay at at Best Western again.
Though the room was clean, the room smelled of smoke on day 1. Day 2 we came in to the strongest room of weed that we could not stay. Apparently an issue in many rooms but they did move us. Unfortunately, still a very smokey room but we were exhausted. Most staff was kind, but rooms are not for me.
Bathroom in my first room flooded, everything got wet. No big deal to them, just moved me. Hallways and room smelled like marijuana, guest weren't even trying to hide it lol. Everything in room was rusted
Good Experience. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice and very accommodating . Older property. Not many eating options around but we felt safe and it was quiet. Comfortable beds and clean linens!
Could have been a little cheaper but overall awesome stay!! It's an older building but had been renovated and looks nice. Everything was clean and smelled just fine. We had a spa tub in our room and loved it. We cleaned it ourselves just because but before it was still pretty clean. Staff was very nice and very friendly and helpful. Was very impressed with the breakfast it was a full breakfast not just some cereal. Everything tasted good and was hot and fresh. A very good variety. And the banana nut muffins were to die for. Overall I will be staying here again. Thanks best western!!!
A great hotel with great service. Clean and comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. There's also ample parking space for trucks. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling in this area.
Robyn was a doll at the front desk she defiantly made us feel welcome. Heather I believe she was a manager she checked us out very professional. Thanked us for being loyalty members. That was HUGE plus! Also very knowledgeable about the area. She is defiantly a keeper. Noel her laugh was contagious. We needed fresh towels and she took the time to bring them to our room so we wouldn't have to walk to the front desk. True southern hospitality!!!
We had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel for a baseball tournament. Room 106 had an overpowering smell of mildew. We requested to change rooms due to the horrible odor but were told that the hotel was sold out for the weekend. The air conditioner was also not working very properly and the surrounding carpet area was wet. The hotel staff stated they could spray some air freshener to help with the smell. Also, the bath tub needed to be cleared of a couple of silver fish bugs prior to showering. The dining area was also dirty in appearance. The chairs were covered in food stains. Needless to say, we did not take advantage of the offered complimentary breakfast. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have endured.
You have a manager there named Heather. She said she had been there four years. she had such a beautiful personality and looked out for us when we were ther ate your hotel. Thank yo Heather! Prayers to you and your mother you spoke with us about
We got this room for 10,000 points maybe if we had paid in cash mice would have not taken over the room tried to call front fest four times but there was no answer I walked down to the front desk and could find nobody
My husband and I cant say enough good things about this hotel. The staff are always the best from Ms. Loret in breakfast her smile lights up the room. The the beautiful blonde manger Heather @ the front desk. Always professional and makes you feel right at home. Jada & Jasmon best housekeepers ever always laughing and very positive. Anything you need and guaranteed someone will be there to assist you. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel and will be back in the future.
Every employee we encountered, all the way from the cleaning staff, the breakfast server, to the registration clerks were super friendly. The hotel was very clean! Robin and Rashawn were a great help when we got locked out of our room! The hotel was clean. We will definitely stay here again!
The hotel staff was very friendly the rooms are very clean and quiet. The complementary breakfast was great homemade like grandma use to make but I want to give a special thanks to me heather domingue she was very helpful with everything she literally bends over backwards to help the guest feel comfortable and at home . I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thanks BEST WESTERN ZACHARY LOUISIANA
Because of the recent hurricane, I stayed at the Zachary Best Western Hotel. It was indeed a pleasant stay because of the employees at the hotel. Thanks to the GM, Mr. Johnny Oxford, Jr. I look forward to my next visit.
During the recent Hurricane Ida, many lost power and so much more. I was worried about my 86 year old grandmother being in her home with no A. C. during the heat advisory of 105. I needed to find a place for her to be safe in. Your hotel was that place. I would like to praise the whole staff, but mostly the manager, Heather. She went above and beyond to ensure my family's needs were met. She treated my family like gold….like they were her own family. It's refreshing to know that there are still good people like Heather, with a heart of pure gold. Thank you Heather and the rest of the staff at Best Western Zachary! May God bless you in abundance!!
My family and I can't say enough good things about the amazing people that work at this hotel. The front desk staff Manager Heather, Noel, Dylan, Robyn then don't get me started on Ms. Lorets all you can eat southern breakfast. The housekeepers were pleasant Jada, Jasmon, Tomekia etc. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone and the location is close to everything.
We had a great time at this hotel! Noel and Heather were extremely helpful! I give big thumbs up! Definitely will stay there again! The rooms were clean. The pool was wonderful. I can't say enough good about this hotel!
We were on our way to New Orleans, but the tropical storm was coming inland, so the girls at Barn Hill Preserve told us to get a room in Zachary. We booked, drove straight there and was met at the front desk by Noel. She was so sweet and helpful, giving us directions to places to eat and helping us watch the weather before we went further on our vacation.
I had to be in the area for a funeral. This hotel was a convenient place to stay the night before the funeral. Overall I was very pleased with the experience. The room and bed was comfortable. It appeared to be clean and well maintained. And the breakfast was good. My only problem, and this was not the hotel's fault, was finding something to eat after I arrived. It was about 8:00 on a Sunday night, and the only eating places open in Zachary was a Burger King and a Wendy's. There are several restaurants in Zachary, but apparently they all close at 8:00.
This has been the only Hotel we have stayed in since it opened it has been always the best but this trip was a shock to the first room had not been cleaned and the second room was only partially cleaned there were drink bottles left on the floor by the chair and bed closest to the A/C unit I left them there to see if they would pick the up and they never did so just a little disappointed in the Hotel management
Our experience was a pleasant one at Best Western Zachary Inn. For one thing, the location was perfect for getting away from the bustle of Baton Rouge. But we were close enough to go into Baton Rouge the next day. Our check-in went smoothly. The room and bath were clean, and the bed was comfortable. We especially liked the complimentary breakfast the next morning, which many hotels have done away with or modified during Covid. The hotel improvised by providing a person to assist with dishing out the hot foods. Overall, our stay was fine with no complaints!
Awesome stay, friendly staff very helpful to me and my husband. The lobby area was so clean and fresh. did not get a chance to eat breakfast. I would refer other people to stay at the Best Western in Zachary Inn
Checked in for a week for a business trip, Hotel manager could not manage to have my refrigerator fixed all week after multiple requests. Customer service was rude and standoffish. I have never experienced difficulity in a hotel until now.
This hotel is horrible. When we got to the room there was feces on the wall by the toilet paper holder. There was a roach crawling on my daughters pillow while she was laying on it. There is mold on the ceilings. You have to wear flip flops in the room otherwise the bottom of your feet gets black from the horribly stained carpet. There was piles of dog poop in the hallways. The housekeeping is horrible here. We got to the room late one night and there were no towels. I went down to get some and they gave me some but they were still damp. The person working the desk didn't know how to operate any of the laundry equipment. A poor old man came down to the desk and told the desk person that he had been there 4 days and still using the same towels as when he arrived. Another night we had to once again go down and get our own towels and they only had 2 clean ones to give us.Also, when we arrived and needed a luggage cart, there was only 2 carts and one of them was loaded with bags of trash. They finally emptied all the trash off of it only to find out the luggage cart really needed to be thrown in the trash too because it was falling apart. The parking is horrible and to make matters worse they have part of the lot dug up. I've stayed at many Best Westerns and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. You are better off sleeping in your car than to subject your family to this environmentally hazardous hotel.
This stay at this particular Best Western was a horrible experience for our family. Once we checked in and saw the filth and the mold, we went downstairs to complain and checked out. We transferred to a safer , cleaner hotel. The day manager is rude, and is very unprofessional. She yells at customers and does nothing to make this situation better or workable. Stay somewhere else for you safety and health.
Hotel staff always makes you feel welcome. The hotel is always clean and well kept. I have stayed here on several occasions and have never had any problems. The breakfast area is always clean and well stocked. The rooms are always clean and well cared for. The area is quiet and very restful. I will be staying here again when I am in the area.
The room and bed was awesome! The staff extremely helpful! Breakfast was awesome! Pool was clean! And we had an awesome weekend! Keep up the good work guys, I would recommend staying here to anyone! Thanks!
Heather is the best! Her customer service is top notch! She has a contagious personality. I stay @ best western all the time she is always making me laugh. You're the best heather!!!!! Keep up the good work! You're butt should be a manager.
Staff and management tentative to Making your stay comfortable as possible. Front desk Nicole and Heather always professional and helpful at all times . Rooms were clean and comfy, with good cold AC . Carmen always made sure room was tidy and satisfactory. Breakfast was always hot .. with several choices . If your in Zachary, La for work or pleasure ... you will Find it comfortable . Pam / Mike Lewis Rm 208
a excellence hotel, staff and manager went beyond their duty to help, breakfast was great, room was clean, had refrigerator , in all in all, i would stay there again , if in the area, the bed to me was not as good as i would like
The attendant at check-in seemed very annoyed, especially when I had to get her to remake my key card immediately after she made them. The key card never worked after a few hours and had to be remade several times. They never had clean towels nor did they ever send maid service to clean the rooms while we were out. The swimming pool was also very dirty.
Upon check in that night I inspected my linens. I found numerous hairs upon my sheets. I made do since it was late. Ate a sandwich and left a mustard spot on the linens. Requested fresh linens the next morning. After returning from work I checked my sheets and there was that mustard stain! I called the front desk and it was quickly taken care of. However, the next morning my alarm clock goes off at 5:30 AM no biggie had to be up anyways BUT the next morning I was abruptly woken up at 2:32 AM with the hotel alarm clock blaring in my ear. My guess is since I complained about my sheets the same maid must have cleaned my room and intentionally set that alarm clock since I had not touched it. Come to find out the very one that cleaned my room was the cleaning staff supervisor. Besides that though the front desk was friendly and helpful .
I have no complaints what so ever the breakfast was absolutely amazing as always. The two front desk clerks were AWESOME! I really was having a bad day and they turned my frown into a smile. Thanks girls. Housekeeping did a wonderful job as well no complaints there either.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay as always. We will defiantly be coming back soon. Hope the girls at the front desk Heather and Brittini are still here when we come back. They had awesome personalities. Hope to see ya'll in the near future!
Horrible place! Very rude staff! Vending machines don't work. Tv never worked the entire stay. I will NEVER stay or recommend this hotel to anyone! Mosquitoes eat you up by the pool. I will stay at the Holiday Inn across the street next time. :)
I cannot say enough about this you lady...goes out of her way! We travel all over the U.S. for work the past 10 years & I never take the time to write reviews, but if I owned a hotel she would be my Manager!! She takes a lot of PRIDE in her job and works hard to exceed guests' expectations! Thank you Heather!!
I visited the Best Western in Zachary last week and it awesome. The young girl up front, Heather, was really helpful and professional when she checked is in and friendly at the same time. Just wanted her to know that I appreciate and thank her very much.
Breakfast was only goo quality. Bed was lump & looked like sofa bed. The noise in halls bad. The room quality was not worth the money we had to pay. overall visit was unsatisfactory. We would never go there again. We only stayed one night.
Heather and Dillion were very nice. Always willing to lend you a hand. They were always smiling and greeting you when you walked in the door. I hope to see them in the next Angola Rodeo in April of 2020.
Everything was great they just need to fix the WiFi it is garbage. But the staff is friendly the room was very clean the bed was very comfortable it didn't eat breakfast but it did look good. So overall it was worth the money.
My husband and I have stayed here a few times. We can't say enough good things about your hotel. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The breakfast always exceeds our expectations. And we love the front desk clerk Heather. She always is so kind and professional. No matter how many times we might need her help she never gets frustrated. She definitely goes above the call of duty. She's a keeper for sure. Bucky & Lucille Peeples
My little brother and I drove to zachary Louisiana to pick up a bronze bull. We stood at best western because I've had good experiences with best western before. Room was great people where professional and courteous.
I love this particular Best Weatern location. I've been staying here for years, and they have rewarded my loyalty by always making me feel comfortable and like family. Very friendly, yet professional, staff.
My stay at this location was great. Check in/out service was very easy and quick. The rooms were clean and had plenty of the little extras waiting. Breakfast was delicious and provided had variety too
I made a reservation at best western in Zachary Louisiana for my sister, Joyce Bailey. She was coming home after having back surgery on January 15, 2019 to live with me. Her apartment I was building wasn't ready so I booked her close to me in Slaughter, La. Joyce stayed there for 2 weeks and they couldn't have been more accommodating to her needs. Heather took the time to make sure all of her needs were met but went over the call of duty with her true “Southern” hospitality. Heather took a personal interest in Joyce as she required daily care as she can be very demanding. Lol. Didn't deter heather at all, she held her own and was always ready to make Joyce more comfortable while I was either working or handling the construction details. Visit this location and Zachary as it's a true southern quaint town and we have plenty to offer here and the surrounding area.
The carpet smells horrible, its very musty inside the hallway and rooms. Both my son and I had stuffy noses the next day. So happy we only had to spend one night there. I would not recommend anyone stay here but there are not too many choices in Zachary LA.
Heather @ the Front Desk has been amazing & has made our week long stay very pleasant with her knowledgeable, friendly, upbeat personality. She makes things Pet happen! We appreciate you, Heather!.... Pet Friendly, Breakfast prepared every Morning.
There are so many very wonderful things I can say about this hotel. It seems every time my wife and I come it only gets better. The desk clerk Heather was professional, every question we asked she knew the answer to and that speaks volumes to myself and my wife. Also my wife pointed out that the lighting in the bathroom was very bright and looked modern. Now my wife wants those lights in our bathroom at our home. What can I say the wife has the final say. The breakfast is always the best. We will be seeing you again soon. God bless
So I wanted to really surprise my wife and spoil her because it was her 50th birthday. I told Heather my plans and she went above and beyond helping me plan things to do for my wife. The room was really great and comfortable. Thanks to Heather my wife definitely enjoyed her stay and especially her birthday.
Only had 2 minor issues with this hotel. The tv did not work properly upon arrival but issue was quickly remedied. The rear exit/ entrance to ther pool did not properly secure. All one had to do was pull on it to open from outside.
I have been in many Hotels during my travels. This Best Western is the best in America that I have stayed at, super fast check-in,& great Southern hospitality was provided by Heather at the front desk. The breakfast and coffee were also great. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling through Zachary LA.
It was okay I have stayed at better it was like Staying at date upgraded Motel 6. The vending machines work and did not work one might take dollars the other one might take coins and none of them take credit cards well the machine does not work.. and the carpet looks like Greyhound bus seats
The hotel room at the Best Western was great! I have a hard time walking and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us being close to the lobby. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and well accommodated. The bed had a nice mattress and was comfortable as were the pillows. The food for breakfast was very good for the typical hot breakfast at hotels which offer this... But it stood out by how friendly and helpful the lady was who keeps the breakfast area... During the time we were there another guest came in who had some special needs... she went out of her way to be helpful and friendly. The receptionist was also nice when we came in... I would definitely stay in this hotel again... Highly Recommended.
We stayed here for 5 nights for business. When we got there, they actually upgraded is to a King Suite just because we said we didn't want to be put near the ice machine and they had extra room! Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Every day we were greeted kindly by the staff. The breakfast was excellent: eggs, bacon, sausage, grits or potatoes and great biscuits plus waffles! They even had bottles of water available in the frig in the breakfast area, as well as fresh fruit even after breakfast hours. The only disappointment was their fitness center. Only a treadmill, that was broken, and an elliptical machine but other than that a great experience!
First room only had hot water, teh second we had to move to had cold and hot water. They have maintenance issues on teh plumbing hopfully will be corrected. Also even thought the air conditioner kept teh room cool it felt damp. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very clean.
The hotel was very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly. Even though the hotel did not have a room that we wanted online, they were able to upgrade and accommodate us once we arrived. The breakfast was hot and delicious every morning and the complimentary cookie at check in was also a nice treat. The only down side was the noisy ball players above us. :)
Our church has been staying at Best Western Zachary for the last 6 years in order to attend the returning heart celebration at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. We appreciate the fact that this hotel does not gouges on the price when this event comes around as some of the other local hotels to. The staff is friendly and professional. The lady who prepares breakfast even came in early to make sure we could be on our way in time to arrive at the prison. The food was plentiful and delicious. Thank you Best Western Zachary! Job well done!
Staff was very nice and very helpful. Hotel provided all needs. Small details need to be looked into but, all in all, a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel for families looking for a good value at a good price.
Stayed for one night. Quick check in by friendly staff. Hotel has had a refurbishment so paintwork all fresh. Tommy was spotlessly clean, very comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, the fresh fruit was good. The person in charge of breakfast was very helpful. A good overnight stay.
We have stayed at this BW several times over the last 2 yrs and have been satisfied each time. Sometimes we have our dogs and there is a good place out back to walk them. It's convenient for the Zachary area.
I stayed here on a quick trip to visit my brother. I was greeted by Edna. She was very kind and welcoming. We had several conversations and she was so sweet and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.
This hotel remains friendly, the staff are there to help at all times. Zachry is a safe area ,it is also easy if you wished to visit nearby attractions. There are many historical plantation homes, the Angola state Penitentiary is known for the Rodeos in April and October. New Orleans is not too far away. Baton Rouge, the capitol of Louisiana, has the State Capitol building, HMS Kidd is docked there on the Mississippi and there is a zoo. So there is something for everyone. Food is easy to find and I am a vegetarian! It is always so reasonably priced too.
I stay at this property every time I am in this area. The site is always clean, comfortable and well kept. The staff seems to go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean safe and comfortable place to stay in this area.
I would never stay here again!! This hotel smells the mildew and the AC in the room did not work. We were there for baseball and were out in the heat all day and had to sleep in a hot hotel room. The floors in the hallway of the 2nd floor are buckled so bad you almost trip. I was told at check out that I would be credited for my stay and even spoke to the general manager via email and he stated that he issued a credit back to my card but it would take 3-5 business days. Well it is way over those business days and I still have not received any credit nor has the General Manager returned my calls or emails. Very bad for business!!
Each time I visit Jackson LA I love staying at Best Western Zachary. Johnny at the front desk does an excellent job and the rooms are great -- and comfy. I love the breakfast and always the ease of check in and check out!!!
This is a great place to stay usually. But this time there was a youth baseball team staying on our upper floor without any serious supervision. Got no sleep the first night. I would suggest there be security checks during the night to control the chaos when these guys are there again!
This staff was amazing. We came in a crisis, and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful. It was a great experience. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly, polite, and helpful. We were pleased with out stay.
I was very impressed with this hotel and the service given. I will stay at this hotel on the future. Not that far from what Baton Rouge has to offer any travelers in the area for families with kids and pets.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Nice breakfast very convenient. The breakfast consisted of Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruits, yogurts, pastries, instant grits packets and beverage options. I had a great stay, I would definitely stay there again.
I would recommend this Best Western for your stay!!! It was clean and had friendly staff.... The room was nice and the bed was comfortable....We were traveling home to Arkansas and found this as a nice place to stay..
Love the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. You really feel welcome here. The room was very clean and I loved the tile in the bathrooms. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Overall this was a great stay and I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Super friendly staff! Clean property! Decent breakfast! Hot water! Great selection of TV channels! Comfortable beds! Ice machine was a little far if you're at the front of the hall, but wasn't too bad! Great restaurants and shopping within a mile!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the king room with jetted tub, and the room was very clean and nice, plus was a large room. The stay was quiet and comfortable. Will definately come back!!!
Enjoyed my stay. Comfy bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish the pool would've been open. I'm from WA state so it was like summer weather for me. Good location. Close to Baton Rouge. Breakfast downstairs was good
Nice hotel. Rate kind of high for the area and quality of service. Staff very serious. For a best western it is not the nicest I've stayed in. I only spent one night. You are expected to read the signs and know what to do. The staff is not very talkative.
They have a great breakfast bar, comfy beds, close to all kinds of restaurant's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a nice pool for you and your family to enjoy. WiFi, cable, all the comforts of home
The rooms are average and they have old tube tv's in the room , I found most the doors in the room don't close all the way . Most smell like smoke. The food is pretty bland but they do serve dinner which is a plus. All around average and price is decent
The breakfast had a lot of choices and it was well stocked. The room was clean and comfortable, I would have liked to had a firmer pillow. The staff was friendly enough. I think the room is a little over priced for the area.
Was in Baton Rogue for a church conference for a couple of days. Most of the hotels there were booked or had increased there prices due to the flood. I do not regret choosing this location even though it was a little further out from my church conference. It is located right off the main road. Great location for eateries. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is a big plus to me. The room and breakfast were ok. Overall pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel.
This hotel has the best staff. During times of disaster they came in, made guests feel at home, they were helpful, professional and caring even though many of them experienced devastation to their homes as well. The heart and soul of the people who work here is amazing. Kudos to them all.
Visiting our daughter in Zachary, we got to keep our 2 grandchildren with us...best visit yet and was able to give our daughter Paula a much needed break. The breakfast was great and the pool even better in keeping the kiddos intertained (and wearing them out).
Had a great stay, excellent nights sleep, a most comfortable bed, no problems at all. It would be nice if all Best Westerns were as nice, clean and had excellent staff as the Best Western in Zachary LA.
Good service, cleanliness. The room was adequate with refrigerator and all the amenities. Pool looked good although we didnt get to use it. Breakfast was good. Front desk people were very efficient and friendly. Parking was adequate.
Friendly employees. Pretty quiet place. Rooms were clean, but a faucet in the bar was falling off. Hotel is pet friendly which we needed, but at $20 a night extra which I didn't see in the website. Breakfast was nicely put out with a good variety, however the eggs and bacon were soggy and limp. But overall a good place to stay.
Pool needed some love. Staff was wonderful. Bed on the firm side but I liked it even though my family did not. Breakfast was nice - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, cereals, muffins, donuts, other bread items, waffle maker broken, good coffee, juices, yogurt and toppings, hot cereals too.
Our family reunion is ever other year. I have been staying at this hotel since it was opened. Everyone from the front desk to the maid service is nice. Rooms are clean and well kept free of dust, room temperature is always good and room smells nice and clean.
We only stayed for a night. We brought a kid to a summer camp and we came back to pick him up. The only problem is, in this part of the woods, everything is frigging a long driving distance. The hotel was an hour away from where we needed to go. I reserved 2 non-smoking room online, and we were informed by the attendant that, unfortunatelly, our non-smoking rooms were next to smoking ones and that some odors might make way into our rooms. Those were the only non-smoking rooms availabel at the time. The attendant was very nice and simpathetic. She suggested we put a towel across the bottom of the doot to minimize the inconvenience and we did. While this helped, unfortunately some odors could still be perceived. The owner needs to get rid of the few remaining smoking rooms altogehter. The breakfast was great, good selection, hot food, coffee, etc. The hotel and the room was clean. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The only other problem is that about 8am we started to hear a hammering noise like coming from some repair. This was unpleasant because my husband was looking forward to rest because he had to drive us back. We did not report this, I think we should have. I would reccommend it and we certainly will come back in the future.
I made a reservation at this hotel in April for Jun 25. SOMEONE changed my reservation from a King suite to a Double Queen. They were booked to capacity, so they were unable to change my room back to King.
Clean and comfortable. Great staff. Good eating places close by. Shopping close. Clean little town. I stay at this hotel every time i'm in town. I have never had a bad night stay here. This is a good hotel for the money.
We had a clogged drain and we reported it. They took care of it! The maintenance man had already left and came back. Thank you! The manager found out and checked on us the next day to make sure everything was okay. They had a busy weekend. There was a wedding in town and a baseball tournament. Completely booked. They stayed on top of everything. The sweet breakfast hostess did a great job.
Was on bottom floor I heard every little rug rats step. I asked to be moved and they wouldn't. I was here on business 21 days. You would think they would value my stay enough to move me to the top floor but they are greedy and will do whatever it takes to get a buck. Oh I was getting a discount rate of 69 a night before tax so mention your here for the outage if you don't want to be price gouged and pay 90 bucks or more for subpar service
Best Western Zachary is a great place to stay. Whether you are there for business, pleasure, one night, a week...the professional and friendly staff make you feel welcome and at home. It is a great place for families to come or if you are traveling solo. This is a pet friendly hotel, so that is a plus! It is in a convenient location for anything around Zachary and the surrounding areas.
While my daughter was at camp, I stayed here. The staff was courteous and always asked if they could get me anything. The breakfast was bountiful with a nice selection. Whenever I had a need they responded quickly. I was able to do work in the business center. I'll be back.
My sister and I each spend a lot of nights in Zachary, LA while visiting our mom, and the staff NEVER fails to greet us and to ask about her. Sometimes the visits are hard emotionally, but we know that at the end of the day, the hotel will there for us...clean, comfortable and welcoming.
very spacious room that was clean, had a good smell throughtout the hotel, even though the hotel was full the noise level was minimal, about our 5th year we stayed at this location, when I come to visit my mother....see yall again next year
Excellent hotel, despite not being in Best Western Plus category. Reasonably priced, clean, quiet, nice and comfortable beds, very good breakfast, it was a pleasure to spend night here. Will keep in mind for our trips in the future, highly recommended
We stayed Friday night at the BW Zachary...before our Saturday trip to the Angola Prison Rodeo. The hotel staff was courteous & professional. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well. The breakfast staff was courteous and stayed on top of keeping the food items stocked.
This is a pleasant small hotel on the outskirts of Baton Rouge. The staff is all pleasant and considerate. Rooms are clean and well kept. The breakfast room is small and doesn't have enough seats for the tables. But the food is well prepared and served by a perfect hostess. The pool is not heated and not available except in the season (June-Sept). WiFi works well and the workout room is OK too.
this hotel is my home away from home, and the entire staff treats me like family. Professional, competent, and caring... Excellent breakfast choices, clean rooms, comfortable beds...I highly recommend this hotel. They handle large groups well, too.
The room was great and the staff were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was terrific and had a great selection. Need to put the grab bars in showers for those of us who are older or for those who need the extra assist. Would definitely stay here again.
We arrived to attend a War Between the States reenactment at Port Hudson and were extremely pleased with our choice of hotels. Our only suggestion is to install "grab bars" in the showers; this benefits older people with some mobility issues as well as others and could save $$ on legal actions. The rooms are a bit dark but not so much that the experience is uncomfortable. Good place.
The hotel staff is very friendly and professional and willing to help you out. Room was nice and had everything you needed. Breakfast area and workout facilities on site gives you everything you need during your stay. Places to eat located near the hotel as well.
The entire staff at the Zachary Best Western always make me feel like family. They are friendly and caring, while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. They always meet and/or exceed my expectations!
This hotel was nice and the staff were terrific. The only problem I experience was with housekeeper(s) that do not read or understand English. I have no need for daily room service and leave a note requesting extra coffee. The note was ignored and no coffee was left. However, the desk clerk supplied me with what I needed. The breakfast appeared to be the norm. I sometimes like to make a sandwich with a sausage patty and was disappointed that during my stay there was only sausage links. This location was convenient for me being right off I55.
Booked a couple of rooms for family while attending a funeral in town. Staff went above and beyond in communicating with me to get what we needed. After the door lock on one of the rooms malfunctioned, gave me a generously adjusted rate for what was really a minor annoyance. Super friendly desk and housekeeping staff, very clean rooms and commons area, a nice extended breakfast time (so we were not rushed to hurry down) and a wide variety of food choices on the buffet. I will stay here again during future visits.
This hotel is well run with most capable, helpful and friendly staff. It is situated in an area providing plenty of choices for various places to visit whether it be to look a historic sites or eat out.It is within reasonable distance of other main attractions.Zachary is a safe area.
This is about the tenth time I've stay at this hotel. I have never had any issues or problems. This place is a great place to stay and it is out of all the big city traffic. It has great eating places close by also.
The hotel has some of the best staff any any hotel chain I've stayed at. This hotel is a great Value for the cost. It is super clean and has a good location for dinning and small shopping. The rooms are laid out good and the internet is super good. The breakfast bar was really nice and hot.
Quick check-in, friendly staff and clean comfy room! I've stayed here 4 times... always a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area of Louisiana, in fact I already have reservations for May 2016 and am going to make some for April 2016 today! Great hotel and excellent value.
My stay at this Hotel was absolutely flawless. My room was very comfortable and was cleaned very well daily. The grounds were constantly be cleaned and breakfast was hot and satisfying every morning. Checking in and checking out went smoothly thanks to Mia, and Daphane was exceptionally nice to every guest that entered the hotel. This is truly a great hotel with great management I'm looking forward to staying here again
In the breakfast area guests were in their night clothes and bare foot.Unsupervised children touching all the hot food items.Trash cans overflowing with waste. This experience was so disgusting we opted to eat elsewhere. As there seems to be little sound insulation between rooms were had to endure our neighbor's activities throughout the night which was quite unpleasant.
The floors are horrible in this hotel. I could literally hear every step the upstairs guest took. I could even hear the shower water run the entire time it was in use. The floors could definitely use more insulation or padding to quieten the downstairs room.
Great Hotel for the money. Good restaurants close by. This place is clean and has a staff that will go out of their way to make your stay right. I'll be staying at this hotel every time I'm in this area. Internet is super good and the pool is clean. The breakfast is good and hot Staff keeps the area clean at all times. Room is clean and they do change your sheets every day if you want them to.
Very friendly staff. Good food. Beds were fine. Clean motel. We will stay there again next year. Close to our meeting place. Breakfast was good and hot. Excellent service from the front desk. Was able to help us with an issue we had with no problem. We really enjoyed our stay, and believe you will too.
This hotel was in a good area, clean, Large room, great pool, good internet and a good hot breakfast. There's a lot of good restaurants close by and a shopping facility is just down the street. There is very little traffic to deal with in the morning or evenings. All around great hotel for the cost.
I have been coming to Zachary to visit my mom since 2007. Many times, I stay overnight for 1 or 2 days. The staff at the Best Western have been taking care of us since 2007. Whenever I come, I am treated as if I was family. They are always very willing to accommodate any of my needs. The staff not only is very friendly, but they are also professional. The rates are also very reasonable!
