Friendly staff, clean room, wonderful time. Wished that the hotel had a fan, room got stuffy and the screen on the window wasn't very effective. I would stay again, however I would bring a fan and mosquito spray. Breakfast was yummy and staff was very friendly. Parking was tight, however it was free. Loved the chickens in the yard, was concerned they would be noisy at night/morning, they were not.

We had a junior suite and stayed a week in early July. Room was nice always clean and stayed relatively cool. Breakfast was included. The selection and quality was great. Everyday there were a few items that were hausgemacht (home made). Location was superb. Short walk to the beach, short walk to the pier, short walk to Prerow and across the street from the Darswand nature park. Bikes were rented on site. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a beer or a glass or wine. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Bottom line is that we would easily go back. And probably will.

some things just didn't click with us. We stayed for four nights. I don't think I've had a harder time thinking how to review a place so I'll just start somewhere. The location is wonderful - beach a walk away, as well as a lush forest - but you definately need a car out there. Parking can be a problem because some people have trouble taking only one parking space even though there are markings on the ground that are well spaced and legible. We had a double room in the new garden wing on the first floor that was okay but I would not consider this 4 star. Our bed was two small twins pushed together, squeezed in between two walls with just enough space for a night table with a lamp. Against the other wall a wooden dresser drawer with a small tv on it and a smalltable and two chairs squeezed together. In the entrance was a commode with paperwork, trash can and a small fridge and a closet for hanging clothes. We put our empty suitcase on top of this closet to get it out of the way. I really don't know where you would put your suitcases let alone your clothing if you stay longer. Space was minimal. The bathroom was small and efficient. A small sink in the corner with very little counter space, a toilet and a smallish shower cabin with plastic sliding doors. The sink and shower had each a hanging squeeze bottle with soap, there was a shower cap, blowdryer and two water glasses. Hanging on the end of the bed was a bag with a white robe and slippers for the spa. The spa was very nice for the cooler fall days with a small heated pool outside and inside pool with locker rooms for changing and showers.The spa service offer diverse treatments and staff was friendly. The restaurant - please note when booking into this hotel, the price includes breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was good with all the basics from bread and cereal to fruit, cheese and meet. Each day another warm selection was served - usually a type of scrambled eggs with something else - but it was warm at best. So now to our pet peeve, while we understand that the restaurant has to plan it's evening - because dinner is included, drinks extra but reasonable- being asked when you want to dine that evening repeatedly at breakfast is just not our thing - we were on VACATION - which means relaxing without planning for a change. That said, there were always two offerings for the main course at dinner to choose from and always a three course meal - if you informed the kitchen early that you had problems with the menu they could change it for you. The food itself was wonderful, if you are staying somewhere else in Prerow - go ! We only had problems with service one night when we waited over an hour for the second course and then had to ask three times for espresso - off night ? Service - the personnel was either really, really good or totally in the other direction Another small thing - they only except cash or bankcard for payment so be prepared and check your bill. So all in all, a nice place - which could be better with a few tweeks but not for us.
