….expectations. Booked on BW webpage, which has improved dramatically over time. Easy to find if you have GPS. Free parking and charge of your electric car possible. The location is remote and going to center is 5 min by car. However, the surroundings and the ocean view is just outstanding. The rooms with the view is definitely worth the money. Just don't cheat yourself on that one. It has everything you need in terms of minibar, AC, coffee facilities and comfortable bed. Good size bathroom and everything very clean. If you on the other hand expect gourmet in the restaurant. Then you will be disappointed. The view is still there… Outside seating when the weather allows it. Did not try the wellness area. Breakfast okay. Price, quality and the expectations added up. Will be back but have dinner in town.

This is a fabulous hotel to just relax. Its a bit of a walk 10 mins to town but everything is available at the hotel, pool spa pool bar as well as main bar and awesome restaurant try the Prawn Sandwich!! Bed was comfortable great shower great staff

I did not expect much as this hotel was outside the city centre near what looked lika an industrial area. I was wrong though, beautiful view over the inlet to the port and the sea, good service and a rich breakfast.

We stayed one night but could have stayed longer to get more of this relaxation, nice service and food.Quite ”simply” but very much enough! The Relax was amazing! Very much worth the money and we absolutely recommend others a visit!

Hotel Corallen has excellent service and a very good restaurant with a good variation on the menu. The hotel is located by the yacht harbor and offers nice walking's in the area, the pier into the sea is worth visiting, I always take the full length of the pier regardless of the weather.

We were on foot, which was a LONG walk from bus stop. Other than ship yard, there was nothing nearby. We did get a pick up, which was nice, from the hotel. We recently moved to Sweden, and this was one of our first outings. Once we arrived, we had a lovely room with a tub! We ate dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent. The outdoor pool was unheated, although there was a nice warm hot soaking tub near pool.

The room overlooked the bay and there was a beautiful sunrise. We had dinner at the hotel and it was pretty good. Breakfast was ok too. The room was large and clean. There was everything we needed. The door to the outside wouldnt lock which was not reassuring. Additionally the interior was dated and felt and looked so 1970s, typical of a Best Western. Given the location I just wasn't blown away and felt like the company was resting on it's ancient laurels.

We booked a room by a hotel booking site. We could read about two outside pools and also see balconies at the pictures. We became disappointed upon arrival, as the pools were closed for renovation and our room didn't have any balcony. We had to pay additional 500 SEK so we could change the room to a family room with balcony. But pools...? Of course, not open. However, the hotels homepage informed about the renovation. But not the hotel booking site, which was a little bit disappointing. So, it was a big mistake by us to not check the hotel site before booking. However, the room was very nice, but we also could see some spider webs at the balcony (but NOT inside!), probably due to the lack of hotel guests during the corona pandemic. It was a beautiful weather, and we could let the door to the balcony be opened all the time. Our room had a wonderful view over the archipelago, birds and boats. Please, when booking, look carefully if the room has a view over the sea or not! In the evening we had a three-course meal. Completely wonderful! And the breakfast in the morning... A fantastic, well tasting and varied breakfast. Everything extremely fresh. To recommend? Absolutely. Perhaps my words here sound "negative" but regarding the pools it was not lack of information from the hotel and the spider web? We didn't care and I think just now, during the pandemic, not everything is "normal". And it had been possible to ask the hotel maid to remove it. But, as mentioned, we didn't care.

We pass through Oskarshamn two times each year and want to stay somewhere nearby, and this is the perfect place to stay overnight. Fine view over the sea, from restaurant and from the pool and wood-fired sauna. Good food in the restaurant.

Superb location with view over the baltic sea. The business room are large and airy. The mattrass and pillows and bedlinen are very good. The free WiFi is fast. Wide breakfast selection. One table with gluten & lactos free products.

Stayed here one night, on business in the region. Room 411 has a very nice sea view. Bed is rather simple, but firm and clean. The wood (?) floor makes it easy to keep clean, but doesn't dampen the sound. Bathroom is spacious but with vinyl flooring. Make sure you take the opportunity to visit the outlet shop of the candle factory, Liljeholmens, next door.

Went here with a collegaue to visit a business partner. The choice was his but wow, what a splendid choice! The hotel is situated close to the sea with a stunning view against the marina. No traffic as it is 1,5 km from the city. My colleague told me that the hotels restaurant at this time of the year serves an exquisite and rather famous christmas table. He surely wasn´t exaggurating, everything were available, many types of pickled herring and salmon, jummy! The restaurant is of course located against the sea with a good view during daytime. A nice room with a very good bed, flat TV, a small refefrigerator and a balcony, situated on the second floor. I slept as a baby (until I unfortunately was disturbed by a knock on my or a nearby door, several times during the night). The hotel also serves a good brekafast, everything included. If i return to Oskarshamn this surely will be my first choice.

only had one night here on the way to gotland but we loved the setting, view, staff, food and ease of getting to the ferry, especially since you are coming from the direction without traffic! you have all you need including parking and the view cannot be beat.

We were only in this hotel overnight but wished we could have stayed longer. The view was awesome. The room was quite large by Scandinavian standards and the staff were friendly. Breakfast, while not as large as some other hotels, was quite sufficient and you couldn't beat the view from the breakfast area. It was even warm enough for us to sit outside to eat. Only negative was that the rooms were carpeted, which made them seem a bit dated.

Bad service from personal not being educated, uncomfortable narrow beds, nice location close to the sea in a city not worth visiting, average standards of locations, food below average, breakfast ok though, the hotel will not be recommended by us

This hotel is well located at sea in Oskarshamn. It has a pool area and plenty of space to sit outside. Yet, the hotel lacks atmosphere. It is all very efficient, but the personal touch is somewhat missing. I would suggest this is a good hotel for business travelers, but less for tourists.

Over two decades, we have stayed in this hotel once or twice a year, with little kids, teenagers, and just us. It is a family tradition to stand outside and watch the huge Gotland ferry go in and out of the town harbour each evening, but also a pleasure to look at the views of sailboats and birds at other times. Breakfast is a big highlight. It was always good, but a few years ago, it improved with a more efficient layout and some innovative dishes in addition to the traditional and expected Swedish breakfast items. When the weather is fine, there is pure pleasure in a big plate of fresh Swedish breads and cheeses, fruits and pickles, eggs and caviar paste, with wonderful coffee, a stiff sea breeze, and birds soaring on the wind. The rooms are functional and very clean, almost all with clear views of the water. On the few days a year when it isn't too cold, the pool is a lot of fun. The bar is comfortable and there is a good dinner menu (although we didn't have a chance to try that on our last stay).

The best things with this hotel is the view from the room towards the ocean - beautiful, and the massage chair they have standing in the hallway. The room are very Best Western, basic but clean. Breakfast was ok, they had a lot to choose from but the standard was low. Overcooked eggs, doughy pancakes, flies in the fruit salad and a very poor selection of tea. The dinner at their restaurant was lovely if slightly overpriced.

Great views over the ocean from our balcony. Friendly and efficient staff with just one exception. Our room wasn't ready at check-in time and we had to remind the receptionist to check. Very good breakfast , especially on the terrace.

I am a frequent visitor at this hotell in Oskarshamn. Always friendly and efficient check in and out. Calm location with sea view from most rooms (ask when booking). For a special treat book the suite witch offers sea view from the jacucci... I also recommend a visit to the candle manufacturer Liljeholmens outlet store next to the hotell.

The hotel provides everything needed if you're driving and need a place to stay in Oskarshamn. The morning view of the sunrise over the water is excellent in a comfortable room. The restaurant serves a nice full menu.

Upon arrival, the hotel staff was very friendly. They gave us some restaurant recommendations and even took the time to pump up the bikes so we could drive to the nearby village. The room was quite modern and nice with a beautiful sea view. I also really liked the outdoor hot tub and the sauna. I really appreciate the fact that although it was not high season, the wellness facilities were still kept very clean and we were even able to order some drinks to enjoy in the hot tub. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant and were quite pleased with the food as the restaurant offers some regional as well as international dishes. It was a real treat to eat in front of such a beautiful sea view. Overall, I was really happy with my stay.

Travelled here on business and this was a surprising find as it is so peaceful and such a lovely setting overlooking the Baltic Sea/Kalmar Strait. Good food, nice rooms - recommend first floor rather than ground floor as views are better.

Hotel Corallen is a gem of a place in tiny Oscarshamn. Overlooking the water with friendly staff and modern renovated rooms it was a great experience. Breakfast was good ,specially the breads. Probably the only place one would consider staying in, in Oscarshamn.

The hotel is located at the waterfront and offers lovely views of the Baltic Sea and the island Blå Jungfrun. We had a room on the lower floor, which restricted how far we could see - but still nice. People can walk by right outside but windows are one direction so they cannot see into your room. Our room was large by Swedish standards and could easily accommodate our baby travel bed and a lot of luggage. Comfortable beds, less comfy pillows (but that's very personal!) The hotel has a nice outdoors pool and a lawn with sun beds. At the time we visited there was a bad smell from the see due to algal blooms; unpleasant, but hardly the hotel's fault! The hotel restaurant was ok, but not more. I'd give it a 3 as rating, maybe even a weak one. For dinner, we had their summer menu. Perhaps choosing from the a la carte would have been better?

Very nice comfy hotel next to marina and Oskarshamn harbor, good common spaces and very good service in restaurant. Only minus comes from thin walls you can hear even the slights steps from other rooms.
