HORRIBLE!!!!! This place needs to be shut down!! The people are rude and the owners are full of crap! Please do not waste your money on this roach motel!!! They will cheat you out of your points and money and say there's nothing they can do. Rooms are outdated and hot!
This hotel never disappoints...clean rooms, great staff. Breakfast was tasty and the variety was incredible.
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful from the time we came into the lobby. Our rooms were clean and cozy and well stocked with towels and soaps. Breakfast was delicious and they have a pretty complete gym for my morning workout. Overall my stay here was a really positive experience and I would definitely come back.
Hotel was fine but I left my iPad mini in the room and have yet to have it returned to me! I called and they advised me to got to post office and send a box to have it delivered to my home in Vancouver BC. They still have the iPad at the hotel but say because it has to cross the border, someone has to take it to the Post Office to sign a customer form. To date that has not been done and I am still waiting. Whatever happened to Customer Service and you can't tell me this is the first time they have had to send something across the border. I spent $80 use for the b boxes to b e sent to the hotel and then to my home. Managers will not get b ack to me. Very frustrated. Val Bolster , Vancouver BC
I checked in the room at 4pm. The room was hot!! 85 I set the temp on 65 and left. When I returned 4 hours later it was still 85. Went down stairs and spoke to the older lady at the counter. She was on her phone and extremely rude saying she couldn't do anything and that her boss had to approve room changes. But didn't even attempt to get in touch with her boss. I'll never stay here again!!!
I would like to thank the owners and staff of this Best Western for a wonderful stay. I was going to say they treated us like family but they may have treated us better than family. Unfortunately, we were in town for my grandmother's funeral, my stay here was the highlight of my trip. The hotel was clean, with modern amenties. The bed was comfortable and the shower was wonderful, I wish I could take the showerhead home with me. They have a fairly typical continental breakdast. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for kindness during a difficult trip!
We love staying at this hotel. They have very friendly staff, and their breakfast has a great variety of choices to choose from. We've never had any trouble with the wifi. If the pool was bigger, it would be perfect!!!
The room was spacious and very clean. The only downfall was the remote wouldn't change TV and the door was hard to unlock. The water wasn't as hot as I expected but it was hot. Overall a great one night stay since we were in town for a funeral
My name is Celina Contreras, my family and I recently stayed at this hotel. I don't remember the name to the amazing gentlemen that assisted us every day of our stay. Our visit there was a very emotional one, and that gentlemen made our stay extremely special. He was kind, loving, understanding, and made us feel like family. I would stay at that hotel again just because of him. He is definitely an asset to your hotel!! The hotel alone was great, extremely clean, and breakfast was amazing. great job!
Always have the best service from the time I walk in until the time I check out. Occasionally I arrive early and every time they get me in a room right away. It is very quite and a good price. Will stay again.
Fairly new hotel. It is near a Walmart and has convenient highway viability. The bathroom had a beautiful lighted mirror and very clean. The king bed was comfortable with nice bedding. There was also a large flat screen TV. Will stay here again.
Definitely would stay here again. Little guy at the desk was extremely polite and very helpful. Rooms were clean which is always a plus! Went down for breakfast and breakfast was done beautifully and was plentiful! Ez was zooming around making sure everything was stocked and ready for the next group of guest! While doing all that he still managed to get people checked out in a speedily fashion all while maintaining a smile on his face! If y'all want quality and are in town looking hotel then look no further!
It was nice but the night I check in the elevator was broken. And the TV was not working. But most of all I sleep good and they did change my room. And the elevator was working when I checked out. Thank you
great service, friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast, great location. we intend to use this hotel again and again. we are traveling looking for a new home, and this was a great layover spot for travels for this area.
This place was amazing..!! Room was very clean, bed amd couch was comfortable and the t.v. was a very good size...everyone was so nice, especially Virginia at the front desk...she was very helpful and polite...we will definitely stay here again whe in the area..
This hotel in the small town of Oakdale is a hidden gem. We wanted to stay off the beaten path and we had good luck with Best Western Hotels. We were not disappointed. It was very nice. Fun getaway for us. And it was a good value. They offer AARP rates which we take advantage of. We will most likely return to this hotel.
I love the new remodeling that was completed and the breakfast is great. Our corporation stays here every time that we go there. The rooms are clean and the gym is awesome. Love that they remember our names when we go there.
I went to Louisiana to go to a church meeting so not wanting to stay at the casino this was the only best option. The remodeling hindered my ability to get a breakfast waffle but other than that the breakfast was decent the rooms were clean and it was quiet
Front desk clerk one work shift is good and kind she help me alot you need more of that person especial the one work the evening shift was rude. The housekeeper keep the room clean and give me fresh towels the male house keeper was nice and he good at his job I wish other hotel like him.
The room was spacious and comfortable and nice size tv. When i turned the tv on, the channels were all scrambled and not even watchable. Dissatisfied with this, i paid almost $120 on a monday night for a few hours of sleep. Don't know if I'll return there
The rooms were well taken care of and Staff has been Amazing! We had a crew of 11 staying over 3 months off and on. They took care of our people and were quick to help. They answered phones when called sent and Folio information quickly. Our Crew can be hard to please on these long stays and they have been happy with this hotel!
The Pros: the room was spacious with high ceilings. The decor appeared freshly done. The bathroom was clean & the shower had amazing pressure. The Cons: the sleeping area surfaces were quite dusty, dirty & there were lots of cobwebs from furniture bottoms to floor. There were open electrical junction boxes in the bathroom. The pool was filthy. No breakfast served due to covid (We had just spent the last week at another BW & had a full cooked bfast daily). The DEALBREAKER: my wallet was stolen from the room while we were at the pool. When we approached the person working the front desk he assured me that he had seen me put the wallet back into my bag at checkin and then simply walked away and closed the door behind him. I was dumfounded. I was not given the opportunity to ask about security cameras nor did he offer to contact police. We decided that it was best to head home to start making phone calls to cancel the credit cards, etc, so we did not spend the night. By that time, the person working the front desk was AWOL, so we dropped the key in the checkout receptacle and left. And, yes, we were charged for the night's stay.
Check in was miserable the older lady made check in very hard. The guy putting up the gutters acted like he owned the place taking up a good portion of the partking lot with his gutter trash, ladders and a trailer. He drove very fast almost hitting my truck and almost hit my coworker. He would strut around with no shirt on with women and children guest in the area. There were rags/towels, ect in doorways we had to step over. Upon checking out I asked for a receipt and was told the computer was acting up and they would email it to me shortly so I left my email address. I still had to call again the next day to get my receipt emailed to me. I refuse to stay here again. On the website it says pet friendly and free breakfast BOTH ARE LIES.
Always friendly and willing to please. This hotel is currently under a full renovation so they were a bit in cluttered but nothing that inconvenienced us. When done it should be more awesome than ever
This hotel always serves it purpose when i vist Oakdale to see family in Louisiana. I have styed here mutiple times since this hotel became apart of Oakdale louisiana. Always have accomodation whenever I call or make a freservation online.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The area is well lit, which gives you extra security measures and there was no noise. The hotel is close proximity to Wal-Mart.
Took a long weekend off, drove home to Houston from Shaw, MS. Needed to pull over around 10:00 last night and after going through Alexandria luckily came past this hotel. Didn't realize I was only about 10 miles north of Kinder. Hotel is pretty new, really clean and comfortable. Little pricey at $115 a night but after seeing how trashy Kinder looked, glad I stayed. A/C was very good, bed very clean and comfy. Got a good nice sleep, nice little breakfast bag in the morning and was on my way.
With the exception of Christine and Deborah (Both very nice and worked on the weekend. Only reason I'll give a 2 instead of a 1 star), me and my coworkers were not treated well here. One of my coworkers was greeted with: "oh another of you people", which I believe meant field workers. Also had someone get their room key thrown at them because the front desk lady was tired of fixing the key more than once. My personal experience was that a lady who brings her teenager to work just hated me for some reason. It was 6:00 am when breakfast should have been out (before the coronavirus shut down breakfast) and the lights were off. I poked my head in and I received a "can I help you?" In a rude tone. I asked if there was any coffee available? To which she said no rudely and shut the door in my face, to which I sighed. Post-breakfast closure, I ask same lady if I can get any sugar packets. She said I can't go in there. I ask if she could get me some sugar then. To which she said you can't have anything in there. The rooms were average and well cleaned in my case. Had a few coworkers who had mice and roaches. Have a picture of the mouse actually. Would recommend some extermination. The amenities were not great (pool green, printer out of ink due to corona virus [buy on amazon?], internet was so bad in my room that it would disconnect me all the time, and no breakfast due to coronavirus [free laundry instead would be nice]. But the main issue i had was the mean spirited lady who needs an attitude adjustment or a new job not dealing in customer service. If you are in the area for contract work, I would recommend De ridder, la or Alexandria, la (candlewood suites).
Everyone was so friendly at the hotel and town. The hotel was up to date, clean, easily located. The only recommendation I would have is larger pillows. I also recommend going to Jewel's while you are in town!
We came into town for a wedding. We reserved 3 rooms for the family. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast had a wide variety of food to choose from. The rooms were very spacious. Also my mother n law is claustrophbic and asked for a room on the 1st floor and the staff was very helpful with our request. The only draw back was the pool was closed.
It's a nice little hotel. Stay away from the others in Oakdale for your own good. My only issue is the rates same a bit high for a small town with no major attractions. Desk clerks were nice. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good per my daughter, I slept in.
I did a reservation for two queen size beds for my family from Texas. Paid in advance and when I check in they didn't have the room available, manager offer me a one bed and a sofa. The managers reason to do this was he called me and I didn't answer to confirm A ROOM THAT WAS ALREADY PAID!!! No voicemail was left. NOT RELIABLE!!! Will doble sell rooms and leave you with no option.
I always stay here when I come home to visit - the only thing that would make this fantastic is for the area to improve its bandwidth capacity. If you don't have to be stuck conducting business though (lol), there is a casino less than 20 miles south of the hotel with several activities and restaurants.
The hotel is nice for the area. Didn't expect to have a BW in this area. The main weekday guest are workers in the area, due to this the parking lot is a bit disorganized, but there are plenty of parking areas. The best part of my stay was the breakfast, since I leave early from most hotels due to early morning meetings and don't get to eat before leaving, tey open an hour earlier for the workers staying there. Cuddo's to them.
Rooms comfortable and get nice and cold. You can adjust the thermostat and also run the window unit. Plenty of TV channels. Not much outdoor seating, and it's usually full of people smoking. Breakfast is decent - doesn't try to get elaborate but gives you what you need. There's even herbal tea! Everything feels clean. Staff is a little rough around the edges, and most clientele appears to be in the area as a laborer.
We had a great experience. The staff was very helpful. We had a room that had water in the tub and she got us moved to another room quickly. the breakfast was good for a small breakfast bar. Will stay again if down that way.
I will probably not stay here again due to a woman on night shift who was horribly rude and has been on other stays as well. Most people who stay here are visiting a loved one in prison and don't need the stress of a hateful person like this, especially when children are concerned.
I stayed at the Best Western Oakdale inn Tuesday night . I always stay there when we have our Oakdale clinics . It is a nice Hotel and very friendly staff . We will stay there again the breakfast was good .
The staff was awesome and very friendly. They were very attentive to our needs. The hotel was clean and inviting. I would stay at this location again. Actually I have stayed here several times before and only once did I have an issue, which was taken care of immediately.
Good: Nice comfortable Bed and fridge in rooms when connected, nice AC and breakfast is nice. Mostly attentive friendly staff, WiFi is so so, goes out but I feel like all hotels do that. The BAD: Molding in the bathroom...then a bleachy smell when they cleaned it instead of just switching us to a room. The fridge wasn't connected so our food went bad...they could have at least told us to plug the fridge...and hard to reach outlet for the fridge.Fitness room was Hot, no water fountains or water there.barely working machines. Unattentive rude elderly white hair front desk woman. Green pool that I wouldn't recommend. Only one ice machine that they put a limit on how much ice you can get!
This Best Western was a Nice clean hotel. It had good breakfast options. I did not observe any issues in the hotel. It looked to be the nicest hotel in the town. I am planning on staying at this location the next time I am in town.
This Best Western is a nice hotel in Oakdale. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the free breakfast buffet makes travel with children convenient and affordable.
This hotel is super nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful. I can't say enough nice things about it. For a hotel in such a small town, you'd expect the quality to be "less than." But it exceeds our expectations every time we stay here. Which is at least twice a year, and I'll be honest, it only gets better every time we come. Thanks for giving us such an outstanding option in hotel stays in Oakdale.
I stay here for all of my family functions. From the cheerful and accommodating staff to CLEAN rooms .. for the money .. it can't be beat. The breakfast is plentiful and has ALOT of choices..very good hotel.
Ask for awake up call two mornings in a roll never got them. I work for a company that spends thousands of dollars each month at this motel.Breakfast is to be out at 5am for our company never is but on tues. wed. thurs. morning cause the other lady works. She always is very friendly she is always cooking something different for the breakfast room . when she works the evening time she always ask if anyone needs a wake up call cause she knows the other lazy thing is not going to give us one. on sat. morning when we was checking out we had to knock and on the counter and yell front desk to get her up. must be nice to sleep on your job and get paid for it.Christina, Virginia, and Karen you three do great jobs, but that thing on nights is one lazy excuse for a human. After we had to wake her up no breakfast she said well I cant check you out till I do my night audit. VERY SAD EXCUSE AND SO YOUNG to be that lazy
We stay here to visit family. Staff is usually nice and friendly. Room was clean. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Usually it is pretty good, but the two mornings we ate there, the eggs and sausage was cold. The young girl heated the eggs and sausage up in the microwave in the dining room, so you could not use it to reheat anything. It took a long time for here to heat the eggs and then the large bowl of sausage. I also saw her reach in with her bare hand and feel of the sausage to see if it was warm. Not very sanitary, she should have been wearing gloves working with the food. She never acknowledged us or ever said a word to anyone in the dining room, so she was not the friendly type. There is a lady by the name of Christina that has excellent customer service skills and is great at what she does.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Easy to locate and get to. For us it is centrally located to where we have family when we visit. Hotel is clean, warm breakfast, and well maintained. Enjoyed the outside pool.
This is a beautiful hotel with such welcoming hospitality from the staff. I used to live at this hotel for business and the staff made me feel like they really cared. I stayed in the business suite close to the lobby because they wanted to keep an eye on me and make sure I was safe at all times. On my last day I locked my keys inside my car and the person behind the desk at the time helped me out a significant bit by calling the police who he knew could come pry my car door open. And again, everyone was so nice and my room was very nice too.
We stay at this hotel everyother year for our family reunion. This saff is very helpful and professional . The hotel is very clean and convenient to our location. The breakfast has a very nice variety of choices.
Very good customer service from the male receptionist that checked us is last night. Lovely and comfortable room. Nice SPA with Sauna , hot tub and swimming pool (all indoor). Average breakfast but food for a 3stars. Comfy beds, very nice bathroom, lovely shower! :-)
Great morning customer service. Wi-fi is super slow so night attendant told me it was bc there was so many people on it. Exercise room was amazing. Pool was small but clean. Train was loud at 11:00 pm
We visited Oakdale La. May 2017 to spend the week with our four grandchildren.we stayed at the Oakdale Bestwestern.our stay at the hotel was made such a pleasure by the kindness of two of the front desk attendants.both went out of there way to make our stay great.
We were very pleased with our accommodations and thought the room appeared clean until we opened the drawer on the bedside table on our 2nd night there and found a wad of used tissues!! YUK! And, smelling cleaning fluid looking at an industrial sink during breakfast didn't help. Otherwise, seemed ok.
the room was great , breakfast didn't have too much hot food to choose from , Front desk worker Nancy Jo was awesome and showed what southern hospitality is real about . She greeted us with a smile and even printed us out a map . Also the lady at check out Courtney was super friendly. GTREAT STAFF
I usually dont do what i call " CryBaby" reviews but this made me LIVID. The Agent at the the desk was sweet. Once confusion was noticed she passed it on to her "GM"[Ravi Patel] who was for lack of best phrase full of ****. Ive been in the industry over 6years. So I understand how a third party reservations work. The mistake was made the rep even said to him twice what my receipt stated. He RUDELY scrolled through my device trying to call BS on me, INSTEAD of as a hotel owner politely FIXING IT. He tried to make it a money issue which it MOST DEFINITELY was not ( My family and I ended up staying almost 2 hrs away and in a PRESIDENTIAL SUITE with the JACUZZI we Purchased ONLINE-as we did for his hotel ON THE SAME THIRD PARTY SITE MIND YOU- for twice as much as we would've paid at his property.) So i walked out and I called the 800 number. EVIDENTLY, this is nothing new with this "GM" [Ravi Patel], because there was no Hassle the Rep that helped me on the phone laughed and took a breath, and we were FULLY REFUNDED for BOTH rooms we purchased. Its sad, because, this property is nearest to my family and the photos online were Gorgeous and it would've been a regular stay for us. I REFUSE TO STAY WHERE A MANAGER BEHAVES IN THIS MANNER. HOSPITALITY is KEY is the HOSPITALITY Industry. (Front Desk Agent again was AMAZING, her hands are tied after a certain point and I completely understand that.)
I prefer this hotel to the Hampton Inn in Alexandria, where I had been staying previously when in this area. Though not inexpensive, it is a better value all around. I do think breakfast could be improved by allowing for some variation and more hot choices.
This was a very comfortable hotel with an exceptional staff. The pictures do not do justice. Very clean and roomy. The rooms were up to date and the staff was more than helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Oakdale, LA
Excellent in all aspects of a hotel, very comfortable lovely décor, great service, quiet, good food, friendly kind staff, check in and check out was so simple, great value I paid more for less will always stay at Best western now, thank you
It's the best option being there's only 2 other hotels/motels to stay in at Oakdale. The staff & facilities are great! Clean, well kept, comfortable, friendly staff. We've stayed here twice and would definitely return.
The hotel is clean, the staff is pleasant, but it was the worst stay ever. There must have been a large group of people that were together staying there when we were. In the day time, there was a room that had a large barking dog close to us. I thought the property had a no pets allowed policy. At night, there were people and children running up and down the halls being very loud. At one time we had a group sitting in front of our room in the floor hallway with kids screaming and carrying on. It was very annoying. The doors slamming till all hours was terrible. The noise above us was not any better. Our room was not cleaned while we were out during the day, so had to go to desk to get clean towels. I hope I never have to come back, but if I do, I will try to stay somewhere else, even if I have to drive further. I really could have used a good night sleep after driving for 10 hours and having to repeat the following day.
I will be back to enjoy another stay at the best western, and thanks again for you guys help me and my fiance will refer the hotel to anyone who visit oakdale! Small town but great customer service. Thank you
I am well plased with thise hotel. The hotel has good customer service and the rooms are nice and clean. The staff is always willing to help and very courteous. The breakfast is continental but is ok .
I stayed here for a business trip. There is only two choices for hotels in town, this one by far is the better choice! Everything was very clean and comfortable! Any time that I am in the Oakdale area I will be staying here!
Very nice rooms and hotel. Fully furnished with everything you'll need. Clean inside and outside. Pool was extremely clean and even had a chair lift for handicapped people. Great breakfast included. Staff was professional in appearance and behavior.
I have family in Oakdale so I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The hotel is always clean and the staff is extremely warm and friendly. The rooms with king size beds also come with a settee and I love to sit on the settee and read.
Very friendly staff and super clean modern rooms. I've stayed at another option in Oakdale and it wasn't good at all. This visit we stayed at Best Western and the property was on par with larger newer chains that you would expect in more metropolitan areas. The breakfast was acceptable to average. Slightly stale and even checking out at 4am, we were told that breakfast was 'ready'. Maybe that's why it didn't seem so fresh at 730a the day before. That aside, we'll definitely stay again on our next visit!
If you need a place to stay in the middle of Louisiana, don't miss out on a great nights sleep. Going to Kinder to gamble? This Best Western in only 20 miles north of the casino and believe me, it's worth the short drive! Quiet, clean with a very nice staff who will help you at every turn!
Excellent surprise stopped on the off chance on the way to yosemite. Didnt know what to expect but found to be very friendly. The whole hotel was clean and the pool and hot tub were a nice surprise. Breakfast was Standard. Very modern and room was very comfortable.10/10
We had a great stay. No complaints at all. Check in was wonderful and the lady checking us in was nice, friendly and extremely helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Safe, clean & friendly environment, what more could you ask for?!?!?
Very pleased, staff was friendly. The pillows were soft and there were plenty of them. I didn't eve get the pillow I brought out of my car. Small fridge and microwave were in our room which was very helpful.
This hotel was out of the way but was worth the drive. The check in lady at the hotel and the lady that helped with breakfast was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and the tv had many different stations.
My check in took over 20 minutes and I was the only one there. Maid service was knocking on my door at 7:00 a.m. the next morning, the lighting was so dim you could hardly see in the bathroom,my key card had to be changed everytime I left the room and that always was a 10-15 minute wait and on my last morning maid service was vacuuming at 7:00 a.m.outside my door and talking loud so I was up and ready to leave after that. Worst hotel stay ever and I stay at hotels 10-12 times a year if not more.
I am not one to ever talk bad or down on a place of business and never leave reviews of any sort, however I would not want anyone to have to experience what my family and I did at this hotel. First of all we were lied to about the pool being open and ready upon booking by the manager. The whole time we were there we were being told that it will be ready soon. We walked out to the pool and there was absolutly no water in it.. When we got to our room (which was suppose to be one of the best rooms) it smelled absolutly horrible! Later on in the evening we asked for a cot.. Was going to be charged $20 until I spoke to the manager about the pool situation and how my husband was extremely aggravated about it. So he let us use the cot for free..When we finally recieved the cot waiting for about an hour , it was covered with discusting brown stains.. There was blood on one of the pillows.. Never had enough towels .. We were told twice that the maids were washing them.. The breakfast or lack of was absolutly horrible!! Tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks . Biscuits were cold, biscuit gravy was sour, bread was hard ,milk was sour.. Just an overall horrible experience!! This was me being nice as I could be about my experience... Will never go back!! The only good thing was that there was a shuttle bus available to take us to the Coushatta Casinno and pool area 24 hours...
It was a bad experience since check in time. Concierge stated it was too much work for her to handle. She was rude with me and another guest and also with someone on the phone that was trying to get help booking a room. Fortunately I did not get to see her again during my stay. Christina the other concierge that assisted me the following morning and rest of the time, went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Also the bathroom looked it had just been repaired and was not cleaned on that section.
We were visiting the community of Glenmora, where there is no hotel, so we were thankful that just down the road in Oakdale was this nice Best Western hotel. The people who work there were very friendly. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. WiFi worked great. There are not many choices in Oakdale and none of the others looked nearly as nice as this hotel. We enjoyed staying there.
Christine was wonderful, thoughtful and anxious to meet any needs. Especially sensitive of the loss of my mom. Kept coffee hot and fresh all the time, so helpful. The bathroom glass shelf had not been touched in weeks, maybe months. It was dusty and sticky. We had my husbands service dog and the cleaning staff shot us dirty looks every time we saw them. I understand they were not used to seeing a dog, but there was no call for all the frowns. The lady at checkout never once spoke or said thank you, even though I spent over $1000. in rooms. I thought there would be at least a thank you courtesy. The young man was polite but one night while I was in the lobby a gentleman tried to get a room but the clerk was asleep, (the guest could hear him snoring) and after ringing the bell and doing everything he could think of, the guest left to find a hotel elsewhere. And it wasn't that late, maybe 10:00 p.m. Just thought you should know. Otherwise, everything was fine. The fruit was never replaced at breakfast but the coffee was always fresh and hot. Thanks.
very clean, great employees, good breakfast. slightly noisy early when others are checking out. slamming doors and all, but nothing can be done about this. otherwise, extremely nice hotel. I would be stay in this hotel each time in Oakdale. It feels safe and is close to Walmart for snacks and such. Not far from places to eat. They would do good to open restaurant for the hotel. There's not too much in the town.
If you find yourself in the situation that you need a hotel in Oakdale, LA., then I assume your options are limited. That said, this is the nicest one in the area. Unfortunately, they know they have the nicest one in the area and charge accordingly. I felt it was a bit overpriced though. Had is been under $90, I would have given it another star.
The stay was excellent with the exception of extremely poor lighting in the bathroom! Staff room and service was outstanding. Friendliness and professional people in all areas. Would certainly return and recommend with correction of poor lighting.
I stay at Best Western Oakdale Inn every time I go home to visit, usually at Christmas. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! The people are wonderful and very helpful and most know me by name. I visit during Christmas and the hotel lobby is beautifully appointed and decorated. I sometimes have the continental breakfast. It's always good.
Will make this Best Western a regular when we travel to visit family. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Price was not to expensive. Parking was well lit and hotel was near Wal-Mart.
We stay here every time we come to Oakdale and with family in the area, we come here a lot. For a small town hotel, it's really nice. Clean, quiet, with free internet in-room, great breakfast, all at an amazingly low price. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
My stay was for two nights while visiting family. Oakdale is located in the center of Louisiana. It is your typical small town America. With premium TV channels and free WiFi, This facility offers spacious rooms and extremely comfortable beds. The complementary breakfast was outstanding. There are not many choices for Hospitality in Oakdale, I would definitely recommend Best Western.
Everything is clean and well supplied. The staff is ready and willing to help with the pool, extra linens, and anything you need. The breakfast is very good with many choices. My parents said they'd like to eat there everyday. A huge full length mirror covers the closet.. The room was very comfortable and clean. The fridge, microwave, hair dryer, all nice to have. Extra rest rooms in the hall for emergencies and seemed very clean.
The purpose of our visit to Oakdale was to visit our son. The hotel was in a good location for this visit. The only problem was this area around the hotel did not have good restaurants to eat at. We like to have good meals , not always fast food places. We did go to the grocer store and get sandwich stuff and etc. to put in the microwave , so that did help.
The room was clean with exceptional decor. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin including the door. I am a deep sleeper but had an awful night...got no sleep. You could hear EVERYTHING.....including ALL DOOR CLOSURES on the floor. The train near by did not help!!! I really wanted to like the hotel but it was just too noisy. The Best Western in Kinder, all though older, is a better option. VERY QUIET. Would not stay here again!!!
the stay was really nice. It is always clean, has the friendliest employees, but the price was high this last trip. Even though it is summer, the price almost was double the price in April. I like the atmosphere there, so we will go back. It is convenient for our purposes, but the area food leaves a lot to be desired. Even the statewide known businesses were not good. Maybe they should consider putting in a restaurant.
