Near the Ionian shore at Nova Siri Scalo, the Best Western Hotel Imperiale, Nova Siri Scalo, Italy, is an elegant, well-run hotel of 31 rooms, including a generous suite, on Basilicata's quiet south-eastern coast. Comfortable furnishings, a restaurant and attentive service make a relaxed base for the beaches and the hill towns inland, with good road and rail links running along the coast. It suits both a seaside break and a touring holiday. Easy parking rounds out the comfortable coastal stay. The wide sandy beaches of the Ionian run along the gulf below, the old hill town of Nova Siri looks down from its ridge, and inland the wild peaks of Pollino National Park, Italy's largest and cared for by its park authority, rise to armoured Bosnian pines, deep gorges and roaming wolves. Subpar hotel. Stayed here on a Collette Tour. Would never stay here on my own. Breakfast was absolutely horrible. Eggs were cold. Scrambled, soft boiled, all were served cold. Awful. Asked for vodka and all they had was mint vodka or melon vodka!!!

This was a stopover hotel as we were travelling through Italy. The check-in was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and efficient. There was a nice public area on the floor we were on with chairs and a sitting or conversation area. We didn't use the internet or dine in the restaurant. The menu looked appealing and decent prices. I would stay again.

"A pleasant stay"

Very nice week in southern Italy. I appreciated the use of the hotel bycicles at no extra cost! The only small negative point was that no WIFI was available on the restaurant terrasse. Apart from this the whole stay was very good!
