Great option to stay in Natchez with plently of parking. Rooms were comfortable. Great checkin experiece with a good breakfast in the morning. All the staff were friendly. Easy to drive in and out of Natchez and we had a view of the river and park.
Only stayed here of one noght as part of a tour, bit it's a nice hotel, located in a good spot not far out of downtown Natchez. Great pool & Breakfast area. Choice at breakfast was a bit limited but not too bad. The hotel has a shuttle that will run you pretty well anywhere in town. Recommended
The newness of the downstairs does not match the old dated decor of the room. Like two different eras. Bathroom had 1 roll of tiolet paper. The breakfast was just okay. The workers are loud and congregate around the breakfast area. Not ever guest wants to interact with every hotel worker, but at this breakfast I guess you have to.
Not a bad hotel - just very tired. Has a nice pool - no dinner restaurant or bar but you can buy a beer in the market. Has the usual breakfast offerings and all staff are friendly. Rooms are old but clean. Bed comfortable - can hear noise from next room.
Great place to stay in Natchez on the Mississippi River. It's on the bluff and I couldn't see the river but there is a shuttle that'll take you to the restarauants overlooking the river. Room was clean, lobby was user friendly, pool was great for my granddaughter. Overall a nice hotel.
Mold in the ceiling of the shower. • Non-functional outlets. • No safe in the room. • A phone that did not work. • A bed that drops low and is uncomfortable. The cumulative effect of these issues has left me deeply dissatisfied with your establishment. I believe that the quality of service and accommodation provided is far below acceptable standards. As a guest who chose your hotel twice, I am extremely disappointed that my loyalty and patience were met with such poor experiences.
Had a good 3 night stay for the most part. Was in town for a conference and had the family with me. Ended up with a corner room on the north side closest to the street which gave me a great view of the river and sunset. Also some of the storms that moved through that weekend. Kids loved the pool. The breakfast crew was great to talk with. They was missing the sausage gravy to go with the biscuits and the kids was disappointed that there was no waffle/pancake machine. The bads, with that great corner room there is a streetlight right outside. While the blackout curtains did a great job, there is no way to attach the curtains to the wall to seal the light which cast a spotlight across the bed and my face. I was creative in blocking the light but shouldn't have too. Street noise was not bad but walls are thin so you will hear your neighbors. The bed was for a lack of better term wore out. Not really supportive, still slept ok. Pillows are down right junk, should have asked for a couple more for the 2 of us. I book well in advance for the conference that I was attending and got a really good discount from BW compaired to other hotels in the area. Given the same situation again, I would stay here again.
The staff at this hotel is very friendly. The beds are uncomfortable, the worst nights sleep I have had. The wifi is horrible.
If you are tired and want a place to sleep, no matter what, this is your hotel. Everything was ok, however for $265.00/night, I've been in better hotels.
Uncomfortable experience. Mushy beds, inadequate lighting, poor internet connection! Appeals mostly to those who wish to use the casino nearby.
The room was a little worn out with old furniture but included all the basic amenities (Fridge, microwave & Coffee maker). The TV was decent and I was facing the back of the building at the 5th floor, so I had a quiet night. As a plus, I usually don't eat hotel breakfast, but I've tried this one and it was pretty good.
Some of the amenities at the hotel are still amazing. The breakfast is still possibly the best free breakfast in the area and the pool is still very well maintained. It's also great to find a hotel with a military discounted rate. However, the mattresses seem to be overdue for replacement. In our double room, one mattress was so overused, there were seemingly no springs. It practically went flat when attempting to lay on it so It was not possible to sleep in the bed. The second bed was only slightly better. So, after paying for two nights (non-refundable), we could only manage to stay one, and took the loss. The staff and amenities are the reason for an average review. But if you're looking for a good night's sleep, there may be issues.
I stayed two night here recently, and considering how much I paid, I don't feel I got good value for my money. I'll get the big thing out of the way; on the second night I was kept awake by music thumping in the next room. I tolerated it until midnight (I was awake anyways) and then tried to ignore it as I go to sleep (I often can ignore such things). Eventually, at 1:15 AM I go to call front desk - the phone is completely dead! I had to walk to the front desk in my pyjamas! The young man at the desk (who was very nice and polite) explained that a recent storm took out the phone lines, and that security would go knock on the door. Forty five minutes later, the music is still thumping. Finally I banged on the wall (how low rent of me!) and they immediately stopped! I wish I did that in the first place! Also on the negative side, I did notice some small things that housekeeping missed. Nothing big, but anyone who is particularly picky will be unhappy. I am worried that corners are starting to be cut. On the positive side, all of the employees were absolutely lovely to speak to. They were very kind and helpful. Also on the lovely side was the pool. Cool enough to be refreshing by day and warm enough to enjoy at night. It was a highlight of my stay. The breakfast was also pretty good. Bottom line, having paid for a more expensive hotel, I hoped that there would be higher quality guests. While this was true for most people, I was unfortunately placed next to one who wasn't. It was at this point that problems started showing: thin walls, broken phone line, non-responsive security. Would I stay here again? I'm not saying “no”, but I would probably save my money and look elsewhere.
This use to be my favorite hotel until about two years ago. The furniture in the rooms are worn down. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The lighting was very dimmed. Light bulb in some lamps were out. Breakfast was the best part of the stay.
Best hotel friendly staff clean great stay love everything about this hotel especially the women in the morning helping clean food area she is a ray of sunshine
There is nothing wrong with this place. The room was clean, and everything worked. The staff people were competent and helpful. However, the place has slipped since an earlier visit and needs some maintenance in the public areas. We have seen the same thing at other places. The Covid panic is long over. It is time for hotels to stop making excuses and return to their former levels of quality. Also the breakfast was far below the place's pre-Covid quality.
This hotel is run down, worn out and dirty as well. The front desk staff upon check-in was lacking the ability to process my rewards gift cards. Upon check out we ran into the worst attitude behind a front desk. She refused to let me speak to a manager. She refused to give me my bill. She refused to make sure that I was charged correctly, she refused to make sure that I got the balance of my rewards gift card back to me. She told me that it was not “their” problem (as in the hotel) and that it was a “Best Western” problem. I was completely baffled. She was standing behind the desk of a Best Western hotel, wearing a Best Western shirt , telling me it's not their issue. That makes no sense. I overpaid by using the gift cards that they couldn't process the night before, I just want my remainder. The place screams “just go elsewhere”. The shining light was the exceptionally sweet staff member in the breakfast room.
THE CASINO IS NOT LOCATED AT THE HOTEL!!! Very disappointed to arrive and realize the casino is located down the hill of the Grand Hotel. Other than that it's nice, clean, has a beautiful pool area with a great breakfast. Just don't expect to be gambling there.
We had booked our trip 8 weeks out and basically had our pick of rooms. We were not told of free WiFi upon check in, all we were told was that they were sold out. But not told that our room was directly across from a Bridal Wedding party with people coming and going all night loud talking up and down the hall and the SLAMMING of the guest room doors. Never should have been assigned a room in the middle of the wedding party group. Unexceptable.
We stayed here as a special occasion to celebrate our mother's birthday. Upon checking in, we encountered an issue with the air conditioning in our room. Although your maintenance staff addressed this promptly and professionally, the unit unfortunately ceased functioning again around midnight. We decided to wait until morning to report it, opting to minimize disruptions to our rest. Additionally, in the morning, we discovered blood stains on our bed sheets. We reported this to the front desk; while the staff member we spoke with arranged for the sheets to be changed, we were concerned by the lack of concern shown over the matter. Ultimately, due to the ongoing issues with the air conditioning, we were required to move to another room, which proved quite inconvenient as we had to relocate all of our belongings.
Warm welcome on arrival and recommendations for places to eat in the evening. Also advised of the shuttle bus that would take us to their casino. The hotel had a decent gym, pool area was locked the whole time we were there. Rooms clean but tired looking. Bath towels a little on the small side and quite thin. No toiletries were in our room - not sure if this was an oversight or hotel policy. Pillows very lumpy. Housekeeping is done on request. There was no bar at this location. Breakfast, included in the price of the room, was the greatest disappointment. Self service between 6-9am. We arrived at 8:20 and there wasn't much left! Bagels all gone, yogurts all gone, no milk left so unable to have a cup of tea or cereal. What was left was a couple of sausage patties, biscuits and scrambled egg, none of which looked particularly appetising. We opted for just having toast and jam. We didn't bother getting up for breakfast the second morning.
The hotel and elevators smelled like weed. The guests were loud past 11 pm. Overall not a very nice hotel. We normally stay at the Natchez Grand Hotel, and we will finish our stay there. On a good note, the lady working at breakfast was very friendly and sweet.
It is a great place to stay. The team is helpful and accommodating. They serve a hearty breakfast such as: grits, eggs, toast, croissants, biscuits , etc. It is an older hotel but is nice to stay. It has a lounge to unwind.
The lady serving breakfast was the absolute best! We got a river view room could not really see the river which was one reason we chose this hotel, the staff was friendly checking in and out was easy the bed was comfortable
After a horrible experience at another hotel in the area, I went to this early. The very friendly front desk clerk was very helpful. This hotel was very clean. Breakfast was fabulous. The breakfast host was also extremely friendly. The overall atmosphere of this hotel was very positive!
Great stay and great amenities. The breakfast is always phenomenal and the service is always exceptional and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from the convention center/downtown area.
Stayed here for three nights, the staff is exceptional. Our room overlooked the city, but you didn't see much. The beds were ok. But sheets came untucked. ( short sheeted) pillows were not good. The carpet was filthy. Everything echoed if people walked the hall and staff talking. The shuttle service was excellent, shout out to Denis and Roosevelt.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The problem I had was fixed immediately. The lady in the breakfast area was delightful. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely stay here again.
Hotel appears to be close to out dated. Electrical issues and hvac issues. Some furniture that should go. Nice shuttle to the casino. Bed was comfortable. Our friend got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes. Not good overall experience.
This is a very nice hotel with free parking but most of all very kind staff, especially at breakfast. The breakfast lady was very helpful and you could see she loves her job. The rooms are very clean and also the pool is wonderful. Thank you!
We stopped over for one night while heading back home to Louisiana. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs as we arrived. Breakfast was great with a variety of items to choose from. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
We were on the top floor overlooking the river, which made for a good view. The room had a blower near the ceiling for air. Every time it came on, it blew like a windstorm with no way to control it. Breakfast is served in the lobby and it is sit and eat there only. You are not allowed to take a plate from the area. The food is decent.
After bathing and walking around in the room on the floors my feet were black. I took a damp towel and cleaned my feet and wiped the floor and the floor was very dirty. The tiles around the top of the pool are in need of major cleaning, so much dirt and grime built up. Also, they need to take down their spa instructions and the timer off the wall as there is no spa/hot tub. Dead plants around the pool need to be removed. The towels they give you to use at the pool are small and thin. We like it cold at night to sleep and the thermostat is set and cannot be changed.
Stayed for 1 night on our way down to New Orleans. The hotel is perfectly ok but the rooms need to be refurbished and brightened up, though they are clean and spacious. Breakfast was sufficient though simple and the staff were pleasant. Good value and would be happy to return.
Friendly staff, great breakfast and the attendant in the breakfast area is amazing. I have been there before, and she is always present, super friendly and very attentive to her guests. Highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Natchez. Great location and great value!
Came for my fiancés birthday Front desk was a pleasure to speak to got a free drink at the bar and a discount for booking directly staff was very friendly and the shuttle was the Cherry on top didn't have to drive anywhere
The rooms were very outdated. Reception front desk check in staff couldn't even crack a smile. The shuttle bus taking us to downtown was good but he gave us a number to call when we want to return and no one answered so we had to walk the whole way back. When we got back, we told them we were calling them and they said the phone lines don't always work- not ideal! They didn't even apologise. This is a ‘dog friendly' hotel and there is constantly dog pee in the elevators. The breakfast was ok. The lady working on breakfast was lovely. The nicest member of staff and hardest worker. I'd book the holiday in next to it instead if I wanted to stay in Natchez Ever again.
Very nice hotel. I will be staying again in the near future. The pool was in very good condition and very enjoyable. The breakfast was hot and tasty. The employees were very nice and helpful. I can't wait to visit Natchez again
This is by far the best hotel in the area. My wife and I have traveled to Vicksburg on several occasions this is the best by far. The staff are amazing people and they are very welcoming and helpful and they have great personalities. They are knowledgeable about the community and where to find great food. They recognize my status and gave me a complimentary upgrade.
Town is dead!! There are NO restaurants or anything to do! The hotel is not with the casino! People are nice BUT..There is no view like the pictures show! The hotel is clean and in good repair but that's all you get. GO TO BILOXI - it is much better!!!!!
It started well but did not end well. Front desk experience at check in was pleasurable. In order to get room service you must call before 9am and advise that you require room service that morning. That's what we did and Friday morning our room was refreshed. Sat before 9am we called for service. Leaving the room for the day we spoke with the attendant about our need for refresh to remind them. Sat evening upon our return room had not been touched. Called the front desk for fresh towels and they said someone would deliver. 45 min later no towels. Went to front desk to retrieve and was greeted with a major attitude by the clerk. Instead of just telling me "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding" she launched into an eye rolling defense saying we don't deliver towels to the rooms and you have to come to the front desk to get them. OK...but the clerk we spoke to said they would be delivered and we waited wasting time in preparing for an event that evening. It's those little things that count. Mistakes happen but please take ownership and treat paying customers like paying customers. Please note all the other employees that we met were professional, courteous and helpful including the clerk who initially checked us in. But it only takes one disrespectful front desk clerk to erase all that and degrade what was otherwise a pleasurable stay.
For those wanting to do an overnight stay with kids and a dog, and a bit of gambling, very nice hotel with cold AC good complimentary breakfast, very friendly staff, note the casino is about a mile down the road and not attached to the hotel. They do offer a shuttle to the casino or you can drive. Overall this was a good experience.
I enjoyed this hotel. I only stayed for a night, but had a very good experience. My room was clean and quiet and had a view of the Mississippi river. The staff was amongst the friendliest I have encountered. They were a pleasure to interact with. I would definitely stay here again.
Check in was a challenge, we arrived at 2:30pm check in time was 3:00pm. We were told we had to wait because there were no clean rooms. Really? At 2:30 in the afternoon, what did housekeeping do all day? We are Best Western Diamond members we have never had to wait to check in. At 3:00pm we were told there still were no clean rooms. After a phone call the young woman upgraded us to a suite. She then handed our check in off to another woman who really struggled with the process on the computer. At 3:30 a tour bus full of people arrived at the hotel, magically there were clean room for all of them. The suite we were given were we discovered over the next Fer hours was not clean. It had been hastily gone over but the floor felt gummy under foot, we did discover this until we went to bed and took our shoes off. We're not sure about the bed sheets. The table in the livingroom area had a film on it where it had been swiped over with a dirty rag. The faucet in the kitchen was held in place only by the water supply lines attached to it. The breakfast in the morning was pretty normal for hotels of this type, so it was ok. This stay was so far from what we expect and get from Best Western. We were thoroughly disgusted and couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning.
We were very impressed with the hotel. beautiful lobby. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. When making the reservations we requested a handicap room. The reason was my husband was in a wheelchair. In order to get him transferred to the bed we use a portable lift, so the bed has to be on legs open underneath, so the lift goes under the bed to slide him in the bed. Our room was very large, and the king size bed was very comfortable. we slept great. The room was very clean. Had a large TV that worked. The sheets very clean and the pillows were good. It didn't have a handicap bathroom, but we managed. The bathroom was very clean, and everything worked well. Had very hot water. Had a good tasting breakfast, the usual breakfast items. Great coffee. The hallways very clean including the elevators. Had a large, beautiful pool area. Didn't have time to swim. the location was close to everything. Right across from the Visitors Center. The only 2 things that could be improved is the towels they were thin and rough feeling. The furniture could use updating. We will definitely stay there again.
Stafff was very friendly. The cooks very helpful. The foods was setup very nicely and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the bar and the karaoke, and the people that were there bowling,we enjoyed them everyone very friendly. We had a great time thank you and your staff.
Really nice hotel and great location to the city. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was ok (coffee wasn't great). The biscuits and gravy at breakfast were! Cynthia was a really friendly welcome at breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed two nights. The hotel is located with easy access to major roads to and from Natchez. The downtown area and the Mississippi River are both within a short drive. Check in was friendly and swift and a couple of cookies was a nice touch. Our room was spacious, clean and reasonably quiet. It was equipped with fridge, micro and a good coffee maker. The included breakfast was good with several hot and cold choices. On the first morning the hotel was completely sold out and even though the staff did a good job, we had to wait for some items to be restocked. The next morning was more quiet and service really good.
The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful. They assure you have everything you need. The room is clean and comfortable. Only problem was the internet wouldn't work in the room but that wasn't a necessity for us. Wonderful stay! Good breakfast!
I don't normally stay at Best Westerns, but everything else was sold out and the reviews were good, so I gave it a try. The lobby and hallway looked good, but the room was disappointing. While the floors looked new and the room seemed clean, the furnishings looked like they were from the 70's. All of the furniture was badly scratched and stained. The blackout curtains were yellowed and had holes. The first time I turned on the faucet, the water was brown. Breakfast was adequate, but one toaster and both waffle irons were broken. We weren't there for the casino, but if you are, know that it is a few miles from the hotel.
I had a group of 35 for two nights while on a Christmas trip to Natchez. I stay at a lot of hotels while on trips. The breakfast hostess, Cynthia, was the best I have ever encountered. Valda, the manager, was so easy to work with. She was the most helpful person I have ever worked with. It seemed we were all friends from the minute we walked in until the morning we checked out.
An excellent hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, comfortable, clean bedroom and bathroom with plenty of towels, etc. The breakfast buffet was more than ample. Shuttle service to and from the casino, which also stops and picks up en route. Close to the Visitor Centre, Toll Booth Colonnades and historic Fort Rosalie. We only stayed for one night on our way from Memphis to New Orelans but certainly an excellent place to stop.
The toom was spacious and comfortable. The furniture and room itself could use some work. The hotel is convenient to the visitors center and historic area as well as restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Don't stay here thinking it'll be convenient for going to the casino. They are 1.6 miles apart. The hotel does have a shuttle service though to and fro the casino. Nice common amenities but we didn't spend much time at the hotel. It is a good value and a fair stay. We'd definitely come back. But, the "Premier" branding...eh. There are standard BWs that are nicer. Bit of an unnecessary snafu at check in. Even though my BW account has the address that matches my credit card, and my reservation was made through my BW account, all my forms of payment kept getting denied. Instead of asking my zip code at check in, or matching what is on my BW account, my DL zip code must have been used by the rep to check me in. I got to my room and was called saying my card was denied. Went downstairs. Tried again. Still denied. Tried another card. Denied. Totally avoidable situation. Other than that...good stay. And the staff at breakfast was very courteous and helpful.
A great place to stay. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the staff are all top notch. Breakfast is also fantastic. We were just staying for the night on our way to the Natchez Trace Parkway, but choosing this hotel for the night before starting a vacation was the best choice we could have made. Everyone was nice, the free breakfast was superb and the shuttle service took us to our dinner location and then picked us up again to take us over to the casino. Driver was very personable.
The hotel room was warm and comfy with lovely toiletries. Complimentary breakfast was lovely with cereal, toast, waffles fruit and yogurt. We were made to feel welcome and not rushed at breakfast. There's a lovely outside pool where we sat with a coffee on the morning The receptionist got us a car ride to the casino within minutes of asking and he gave us his number for a lift back. A lovely overnight stay which I thoroughly enjoyed
The friendly and helpful staff made our stay. Having spent 7 nights in three different Hilton branded hotels where the staff were unfriendly, rude and unprofessional your refreshing cheerful attitude put a smile on our faces. The public areas appear to have been recently renovated and the pool area is great. To be honest the rooms are old and in need of an update but the hotel is embarking on a room renovation program. It's been a pleasure staying with you.
While the downstairs lobby area and hallways of this hotel have been upgraded and nice. Our room had no working A/C. To the point that we went to Ollie's down the road to buy fans. I understand that Mississippi is hot and humid in the summer but that is no excuse to have no working A/C in a room. When asked to move to a new room I was told the hotel was fully booked. I am a BW diamond member and have traveled to BW across the country this, by far is one of the worst ones. How exactly this is a premier hotel should be a joke to the BW brand. Do not be fulled by the pictures on line. They are upgrading rooms but I'm not sure which ones are vs which ones are not. They even have a poster in the lobby stating new for spring 2022. If the rooms have been upgraded then they need to work on the antiquated ac system for guests. Also there is a bar area that is not open. No place to get hot coffee unless you want the crap they put in your room. No services after breakfast hours unless you go outside of the hotel. I would not waste my money at this place again.
Check in - first my booking can't be found. your name & confirmation number is not in the system. and we are fully booked. even after I showed all my confirmation mails from hotels.com. then the front desk lady calls a colleague and finds out that our booking is lying printed in front of her. this all takes at least 5 minutes or more. - then we get a room. on floor 6,the top floor. when we arrive at the room the keys don't work, the door stays closed. needed to go back downstairs where it is fixed. - then when we enter the room which smells smoke. which should not be possible in a promoted 100% smoke free hotel. - when we report this and ask for a different room we get a no we are fully booked. even despite our in advance request we made months ago when we made the booking: real non smoking room not on high floor. what did we get: a highest 6 floor room which smells like smoke. - then last but not least. the inroom wifi is lousy. so weak. only when you sit near the room entrance door near the corridor we got a wifi signal. sitting on the chairs near the window is no network, no wifi. when I report this the answer I got was, "Dan is off so I cant sent nobody. And nobody else complains." which is a poor answer and doesnt solve the issue nor does it take my complaint serious. check out - no question of how was your stay. no communication at all. in short: double malperformance: basic room features were not delivered. being non smoking and wifi. and service / fixing capabilities were lacking. we booked the hotel for the great reviews but we were disappointed by the current realities. on a positive note, the lady serving the breakfast since 1986 is wonderful, super service minded.
I had a good experience at the Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel in Natchez, MS. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was awesome with such an accommodating staff. I will stay at this hotel again.
The staff is friendly. Check in was easy. The breakfast crew is very lovely. There's something on the breakfast bar to get you to lunch or beyond. Room was nice. The one complaint I have is that the bathroom light and the fan are connected and that is unnecessarily noisy. There is a beautiful sitting area when you get off the elevator. I was on the 6th floor. Wanted a view of the river, but that didn't happen. Ice machine was out of order. Had a problem using the ATM machine asked the gentleman who was cleaning and he was happy to show me what I was doing wrong! I have no complaints about my stay and for me that means that did a whole bunch of right. Mainly, being nice. Good shuttle service down the hill to the casino. Fast and reliable. I would stay there again.
Everyone was so kind and everything was so clean! I had no problems during my stay. Staff was helpful and was able to answer questions when asked. My whole experience was exceptional! I would definitely come back to this property. My family and I slept great and were not woken up by loud noises or guests. We also felt safe in the facility. Pool was also nice and clean!
Front desk staff went over and above to handle issues I encountered with Expedia regarding my booking. Made it a lot easier on me! Fair warning - while the hotel is affiliated with the Magnolia Bluffs Casino, the properties are about a mile or so apart. To find the hotel on Google Maps, enter “Natchez Visitor Center” - it's right across the street (Canal St.)
Counter staff were helpful and very pleasant. Rooms were clean and convenient. Hotel is near most attractions...although I found the roads in Natchez a little confusing so make sure you get a map. Breakfast was excellent and the greeter at breakfast was very informative and helpful along with a cheery disposition to start out our day. Only thing I would change would be to have coffee/tea available all day.
My family and I were there for a memorial and there were abut 20 of us. Check in was super easy. we enjoyed the breakfast and the servers were amazing and very friendly. The pool was great. I loved that there were covered seats and lounges so we didn't have the sun beating down on us. Great hotel. Great staff.
Hotel is right by everything. We never had to drive far to go to casino, restaurants, tourist center, Antebellum Homes, etc. Hotel was very reasonable, staff very friendly, We will return to this hotel whenever in the area.
I love staying here. It's always clean and the staff are amazing. Go get breakfast even if you aren't hungry and meetMs. Cynthia she is the sweetest welcoming person to start your morning interacting with!
This hotel is a very good value. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the breakfast staff. When we were there, a full (bacon, egg, grits) breakfast was included as well as a waffle bar. Well-located to historic sites.
The hotel is not a "Caesar's Palace" but for a weekend getaway it is perfect. The staff really made this place and I would stay again just because of them. Pretty close to downtown Natchez and the casino. Not very hard to find and includes a shuttle service.
We had a lovely stay. Helpful staff from reception to housekeeping. They couldn't do enough for you. Cynthia at breakfast was a treasure making sure we had everything we wanted. Breakfast was hot in a box but also waffles and cereal. Rooms clean, beds super comfy. I would definitely go there again.
The hotel and casino are not in the same building. Also, there is not a restaurant in the hotel. There is a shuttle that runs between the two, however. We were not interested in going to the casino, therefore, we had to drive to a close by restaurant located on the Mississippi, The Magnolia. The hotel's pool area is very comfortable and has a nice ambiance in the evenings. The room was spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The furnishings are quite ‘well used', but there is to be room renovations in the future. Breakfast was not buffet style. Cold cereals, toast, coffee and waffles available to guests. If a hot breakfast is requested, it will be prepared and brought in a styrofoam container (Covid). The lady working in the breakfast area was very hospitable and kind. I would stay at this hotel again.
I had a great time. Sitting outside by the fire, enjoying the spirits of the bar. The friendly staff and others. I really enjoyed the bed. best sleep at a hotel in a very long time. I would have liked to see another table in the room as we only had to desk to put our suitcase on.
Very clean and nice, older hotel. Within walking distance of downtown area and walkway along Mississippi River. Shuttle service is available to casino which is located downtown. Hot breakfast was served by a wonderful hostess who was non-stop energy and kindness. Great experience!
We had a wonderful room with a great bed, good coffee in the morning and the internet was fantastic. After staying at a very expensive hotel in Austin, this hotel exceeded what they offered at the hotel in Austin by leaps and bounds. We would definitely stay there again when we come back to the area!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I expected average, instead it is decorated like an upscale boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was spacious and comfortable , and the breakfast was delicious. They served hot grits, eggs, either sausage or bacon and toast every morning. It's walking distance to downtown. Highly recommended.
Very impressed with the hotel, the front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.. The continental breakfast was so good the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located close to downtown and the casino the hotel offers a shuttle that will take you to different restaurants.
Very nice and clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good hot breakfast. Quiet area. Would stay here again if we returned to Natchez. Hotel is across from the Natchez Trace Parkway visitor center.
I visit Natchez about 4-6 times a year to see family. Magnolia Bluffs is very consistent from visit to visit. Staff is hands down the most friendly and engaging. My ratings are based on other similar choices in the area and not a fixed standard. Every other nearby property has had "big misses" but Magnolia always seems a solid choice.
We spent 2 nights in this large Best Western Hotel in Natchez. The decor in room was a little dated. Otherwise I would have given a 5 rating. There was a nice outdoor pool which was great since it was HOT in early September. We did not bother to go to the casino associated with this hotel - not gamblers! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was ok - prepacked because of COVID. Also there was a nice little gym which we took advantage of.
I had reservations at Wyndham/Days Inn hotel. When I went to check in they could not find my reservation and would not accept my online notification of my reservation and confirmation number. The Magnolia Bluffs was the only hotel I could find that had a room at 10 PM at night. The staff was able to get me set up in a room at a $30.00 savings over Wyndham/Days Inn. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel was very nice and the breakfast was really good.
My friends and myself stated at the Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel last month, and we all thought that it was an excellent hotel. The rooms were decent and they served a daily buffet breakfast. The lady who served the breakfast was very friendly and helpful, I never got her name, but she was so kind. Also, the location of the hotel was excellent and convenient to see the sights of Natchez, which, btw, we all liked a lot.
We received excellent service and everyone was cheerful. They even went the extra mile to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable for all. Reasonable rates for drinks always coffee and drinks available. Shuttle service was excellent people and short wait time.
When we arrived the host checked us in and gave us numerous discounts on our home. The room was very nice and one of the best places we had every stayed. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and gave helpful recommendations for our stay. I highly recommend staying here.
Clean modern facility located on the river. A very beautiful area full of history. A multi-story facility with a very large pool and nice business area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Within short driving distance of excellent dining.
Nice breakfast on weekends. Floors uncarpeted in rooms made them cold. My room also lacked all the typical furnishings you'd expect...gaping area with nothing next to bed. Kind of unfinished like they knew it was bare and left it that way anyway. The HIE was next door and I found myself wishing I was in a name brand hotel. Pool area very nice though and they were responsive when I asked for a few extra pillows.
Can't believe this is the same place we stay every year! First day here, checking in,the guy they had cleaning was rude and cock! Then we find out after we already made reservations,no breakfast, hot tub was broke,we had hardly any housekeeping the 2 weeks we stayed, and the wifi worked 30 min out of 2 weeks!I had two good cleanings the whole time! You ask for a cleaning, they would make the bed, bring partial towels, leave your trash and not sweep! Becky came by one day when I was there and she cleaned like it was supposed to be! Needless to say,we usually come every year, for weeks at a time, but I will not bring my crew back again till it changes! All I could get told was,no staff, nothing gets done! Great way to run a really nice place in the ground!
Very clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel was also very convenient to restaurants and the downtown area, I made reservations back in October and because of weather had to cancel, the lady at the desk remembers our conversation and was very nice, I would recommend the magnolia bluff to anyone!
I stopped here for a night with the family on long trip home and I purposely chose this hotel so my wife and I could take turns watching the children while the other spouse could walk downstairs to the casino and the steakhouse. Ha ha on me. There's no casino in this hotel and there's no steakhouse in this hotel. They are down the road a mile or two. I'm sure the locals all know that but I'm not a local. The hotel is nice, clean, inviting and the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was available, easily accessible, and plentiful. There was no food available in the hotel at all and instead of walking downstairs to have dinner we all piled in the car to drive to a restaurant in town. The hotel is nice and I recommend it as on a par with most other roadside hotels. Shame on me for assuming the "Casino Hotel" had a casino and I'm still looking for the fine print on their website that will explain that. The hotel is definitely worth visiting but be sure to remember their definition of "Casino Hotel" is there is a Casino and there is a hotel - at two completely separate locations.
Quick summary: clean, comfortable room. Friendly, professional service. God COVID-safe practices. We had a nice king bed room on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool. Good bed linens. The room itself was comfortable - comfy bed, lots of good pillows, fridge, microwave, iron/board, TV with good selection of channels, etc. Coffee/tea set-up in room, but ask housekeeping if you want refill -for the next day -- you will not get the room serviced (but can ask for fresh towels, etc.) unless you are staying 3 or more nights. No in-room safe. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. MArble top counters make things feel ritzy. Wifi works well. Good HVAC. Excellent housekeeping. Airy public rooms, but not much in use during COVID. Excellent, friendly, staff. Still, it feels like it needs a bit more TLC or sprucing up. The pool looked very clean, but the hot tub/spa was grungy when we arrived. The day we left, someone was attending to it, but it looked awful. Further, the palm trees around the pool area might have gotten some kind of blight, because the trunks had the tops chopped off -- the pool area was rather forlorn looking. Room towels are feeling a bit tired. BW Premier properties offer complimentary breakfast, and I have stympathy with them trying to keep this up during COVID. However, we are on a road trip, and othr BW properties where we've stayed had d much better effort. Here, breakfast was a packaged blueberry muffin, a chocolate chip granola bar, and bottled water. Other BW properties did a better effort. There is a relationship with the casino on the river. 'Might be nice. On a previous trip pre-COVID, my husband had an okay steak dinner there, but he's not a gambler. We returned to this property because he was more satisfied then. Again, the room itself is fine enough with some amenities, but not a property that seems to be trying harder.
Had to leave after 2 hours because the people in the room next door in the adjoining room were so loud, we could even hear them pop coke cans open. Asked if there was another room and were told that no rooms were available, but maybe we should put a towel under the door for noise. Then we were then told that we should tell them to be quiet. Never once were the occupants contacted and asked to keep it down. Drove 11 hours that day and was looking forward to some sleep. Had to drive 4 more hours instead. Room was recently renovated.
My husband and I recently stayed at Magnolia Bluff Hotel in Natchez,Ms. We checked in on a Friday and checked out Saturday. The room we stayed in was on the second floor(room 217). When I tell you that when we first walked in, you could smell the cleanliness of the room. This room was cleaned to perfection. Kudos to whichever housekeeper cleaned this room. The bed was perfectly made with thick, crisp sheets and there was not a speck of anything on the floors. Whoever the housekeeper is that cleaned the room needs to be recognized for doing such a fantastic job. Upon checking out Saturday, we met the most wonderful housekeeper whose name was Lashonda. Omg she was such a gem. She greeted up with a hello and good morning. She asked if we enjoyed our stay and preceeded to tell us to have a good day and welcomed us back to stay. This young lady was very courteous and very friendly. Unlike Friday when when checked in, there was this guy pushing a cart and he just seemed so unfriendly. You wouldn't think that he worked there judging from his appearance. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood on his head while working. To me, thats very unprofessional. There was no interaction between him nor us as guests. He could have been a little more friendlier. But other than that, our stay was very pleasant. The selling point for me was the little gem I previously mentioned. Our little caring housekeeper. Only downfall was there were breakfast bags instead of hot breakfast. They could serve breakfast in to go containers.
Wonderful stay, my husband and I had the best night of rest. The mattress and pillows were the best and we stay in a lot of Hotels, Diamond status with Best Western and Lifetime Titanium with Marriott. Room was very clean. Hotel staff were very nice and made you feel at home. We are looking to travel back to this Hotel.
Very nice hotel and we would definitely stay there again. The Decour was beautiful, Very clean and neat. The swimming pool area was nicely decorated and inviting. Will have to go back in the summertime.
Wow the Best Western Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel in Natchez, Mississippi was an incredible hotel for a few reasons. We were greeted by Nicole when checking in who was so passionate about her hotel, the casino and Natchez generally that she made our otherwise well planned trip even better! She informed us of a small Civil Rights museum that was the largest local historical museum I've been to. Her restaurant and other suggestions were unparalleled. The hotel itself serves an awesome breakfast and everyone on staff welcomes their guests as if it was their home. Nicole lead the way but this one awesome hotel! Thank you Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel.
The hotel was very nice and clean with extremely comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Our room was very spacious. The breakfast was great, with a full buffet, and the gentleman who was in charge was friendly and kept everything well supplied. Tina, the bartender, was awesome and made our visit so pleasant. She was helpful, funny and kept us laughing. The only negative comment we have is that the fan in the bathroom was very loud. You couldn't hear anything when you were in there except the fan.
This was my 1st time here, but it was great! Staff was awesome and friendly. Breakfast was great and the staff there were great! Great location too! Definitely would recommend this hotel! Great place!
Repeat customer at this great hotel it has all comforts of home very clean staff very nice it's quiet affordable and located close to all attractions in Natchez area Free breakfast and it's actually very good waffles are good
I have been coming to Magnolia Buffs Casino Hotel for about 3 years I love the whole staff. But my favorite person is Custina, she is the best she works the Frontdesk also the bar. I meet Annie she works in sales she was really nice. The breakfast is great. Rooms really nice.
Wifi only had signal in the lobby, not in rooms (advertised as free wifi in rooms). Modern lobby. Breakfast was reasonable, with friendly attendant. Loud aircon/heating and bathroom fan. Only one paper cup for tea/coffee. Complimentary biscuits and water was appreciated.
We've been on the road since January 15. This isn't our first trip by any means. But this is my first review ever. This is worth chatting about. This hotel and city we would highly recommend. We'll be back for sure. The staff are kind, helpful and patient. The room was outstanding and the breakfast better than we expected. Come and stay awhile!! Kudos to all of you!!
Reservation didn't show up until 3 hours after we arrived. Not necessarily the fault of the hotel, probably due to very rainy weather. I wasn't fond of having to call corporate to straighten things out when that should've been the clerks job.
Got excellent hotel service from Tina was friendly nice will most definitely be back to stay room was clean and nice beds comfortable hotel all around 5 star hoping the casino will be the same and win some money..
I love and admire everything about this hotel and staff. family oriented, clean, professional and very friendly. check in was fast and courteous. I look forward to stay here every time we visit. Magnolia Bluff is by far the greatest
Excellent hotel. Great location. The staff is wonderful, Ms Custina at the front desk was very friendly, and helpful, she was joy to talk to. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast is very good and the lady that works in the dining area is so sweet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Outstanding service and always a pleasure to stay. Bartender Tina is the very best!!! Always recommend a a stay at the magnolia bluff hotel and casino when in NATCHEZ Ms .the best hotel on the Mississippi
Check in was speedy and the staff was delightful. The rooms are spacious and nice. I look forward to staying at this property again. Great customer service that make you feel like family. Love this hotel!!
My family recently spent the night here and had nothing but pleasant dealings. I called the night before and asked if it was possible to get adjoining rooms and sure enough, we had them! The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. The best part was at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast is a nice hot assortment of eggs, biscuits, bacon and grits. But if you're lucky, you'll be greeted and assisted by Ms. Cynthia. Such a warm and wonderful person to greet you and start your day on a great note!
We didn't have reservations made when we got to this hotel. Tina was very helpful and pleasant. Nice hotel. Liked Brian, at the bar, and the size of the room. Water 2as free and also complimentary cookies.
Natchez is such an interesting small town, just chocked with pleasant experiences. The old homes seem to be a major draw, and they are amazing, but then there's the River. The view of the River from Magnolia Bluffs is mediocre, but there was a clean room, it was serviced by nice people, had good bar, and there is a Shuttle. Hey, that shuttle is important to get out and enjoy the downtown after dark.
Ms. Custina at the Magnolia Bluffs Casino and Hotel is superior. Always a beautiful smile and gracious attitude. I always look forward to visiting because I truly can't wait to be greeted by Ms. Custina! She makes you feel like more than a guest... like family!!!
I come to the area often for work. I look forward to coming to this hotel. They have a great staff. Since my first stay, Tina at the front desk has been helpful and always goes the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable and stress free.
My Husband and I enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was clean and breakfast and Happy hour was very nice. Ms. Custina Granger was working the bar at the time we were there and she was so nice and friendly. Service with a smile. There were lots of parking space as well and a shuttle bus.
Everyone on staff is kind and polite Room was clean with no major issues . Happy Hour was a plus ....breakfast was great !Parking is very obtainable. I would go back without reservations. Will stay again if we ever come to the area!
The staff is very unprofessional to say the least. I'd never recommend staying here if you want to be treated with any amount of respect. While they do remain diligent about the no parking space in the front of their establishment. Regardless if it is a guest and they are about to move the vehicle. The owner and whoever else works there is allowed to park their vehicles for most of the day. Not to mention that the person working the desk was on the phone when I arrived and asked me to wait a minute while they were on the phone. Not a problem, I do have an issue with the fact that they finished the call and felt that checking and responding to their text messages was more important than helping their guest. DO not stay here!
Centrally located to all the attractions. Quiet and well maintained. Happy hours are a plus as are the good breakfast. Southern hospitality is full view. Parking is very obtainable. I would go back without reservations.
This is a lovely facility with very modern decor. The complimentary breakfast is the best anywhere. Real dishes and flatware not paper and plastic. Everyone on staff is kind and polite . Cynthia in the breakfast area is a real charmer.
Great place to stay for a girls weekend get away. The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were great. Liked that it was close to the shops downtown and they have a shuttle that will take you to the casino and pick you up.
I booked my trip on nearly a whim for an event on Saturday because I found such a great deal to stay at this hotel. Upfront note. This hotel is not next to the casino. I selected “Magnolia Bluffs” in my navigation and it took me to the casino. However, the hotel is about 1.5 miles away. Upon arrival to the hotel, I was impressed by the modern layout of the lobby and bar area. They also have cookies for guests. The actual hotel room could've been a little more modern, but it was still nice. The bed was soft and tv worked well. The bathroom was spacious and clean. I liked the free toiletries too, but the towels were a little thin. Lastly, the free hot breakfast buffet was great too. The staff in all areas was friendly with every interaction. I recommend this hotel.
I can not say enough wonderful things about my stay. From the time I checked in until three days later checking out. Everyone who works there was delightful. Since I never know how my bum knee will be I now request a handicapped room. When I arrived on a Sunday I asked if I had a view of the river. Handicapped is on the second floor but they could give me a regular room on the fourth. I took # 402 and loved it. It was a corner room with a lovely view and great for watching the sunset. The room was very comfortable. Natchez was racking up the coldest weather in their history but all I had to do was adjust the heat up. There is a full breakfast included which was excellent. Many choices every morning and well done. Also the hotel runs a shuttle around town and down to their casino on the river. If you go to the casino get yourself registered with the club. The first $10 for betting is a gift from them.
Stayed here while in Natchez, Ms. The staff was wonderful! They were so helpful in every way. The rooms are great. This is where I will be staying whenever I am near Natchez. I highly recommend this business.
The stay was excellent rooms were top notch. But what made the stay so good was the staff I mean everyone I've traveled all over and this is one of the best experiences I've had thanks to all of the staff. To the GM keep up the good work. Will be back. Thanks
I've stayed at this hotel on 3 different times. Each time the hotel is GREAT and appreciate their guest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. You will wake up to the smell of Bacon in your room as Breakfast is great.
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I have been satisfied once again! On top of the comfort and luxury feel of the rooms, the staff is great and friendly particularly Nicole at the front desk. I get to work throughout Louisiana, but I don't mind to cross over to Natchez, MS to spend the night!
The hotel is modern and well maintained. The staff is super friendly. It felt like a hip hotel in a city. I visited the hotel before this management took it over, and it has become one of the best hotels in the state!! It is better than quite a few in New Orleans and Baton Rouge!!
The hotel was very nice. The breakfast is amazing, and the lady that works the breakfast is better than any waitress II have ever met.We had a slight issue with the tub, but otherwise the stay was great. The Would definitely be back. Bed is comfortable
Great for an overnight stay in Natchez. They offer a free shuttle service to the Convention Center. There is a Happy Hour in the Lounge from 5-7pm but make sure the drink you order is included as some can be a little pricey.
The staff was great! We booked our room on hotel.com, which indicated we were booking a riverfront room. We did not get that, which was disappointing. However, the front desk clerk did her best to meet our requests short of giving us a riverfront room. In the event that we run into this again, we will call to ensure the hotel understands that we booked a riverfront room and will be expecting a riverfront room upon arrival. Housekeeping was AMAZING! We brought items from home to feel more comfortable. After being gone all day, we returned to an immaculate room. Our quilt was folded and spread neatly across the foot of the bed as if we had made the bed ourselves. We had taken a stuffed animal too. It was perched neatly at the head of the bed between the pillows. It was so cute, we laughed. Our shoes were tucked neatly together beside the bed. Not one thing was out of place. It was as if we were home and had a personal housekeeper. We even left a little "thank you" for whoever took the time to put that extra thought into her/his work. The breakfast leaves a little something to be desired. We tried it the first day but opted against it after that. That's not to speak ill of anyone at the hotel. I'm sure the eggs come in a carton (they certainly taste like it), the gravy comes in a can or a bag, as do the biscuits, and the bacon tasted like it was microwaved, very chewy. I guess anything is better than nothing, though. The entire staff was very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. Everyone was full of southern charm. We'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
This hotel does not allow a family reunion group to use the pool. But it is good enough for the group to pay their money to stay in your rooms. We have decided not to spend our money there and we are also spreading the word to other people this information. I called the corporate office and there was no satisfaction. This was very surprising to know a property under Best Western to honor a ridiculous policy. My comment to the sales director was, (the last time I checked my money it was green and it spins anywhere not only at the Magnolia Bluff in Natchez,Mississippi). So any group please take your business, elsewhere. Please read your contract carefully...
We drove up the Natchez Trail using the Magnolia Bluffs Hotel as our starting point. Those at reception were helpful friendly and accommodating. The room was large and comfortable with a good view of the river. The breakfast was reasonable
Room was great. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was great!!! One waitress went out of her way to make sure guest had what they needed. The only thing I disliked was only one elevator was working and it took forever. The stay was great though
Staff was very pleasant professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Excellent location. Lobby was very nice and attractive. We will stay here again. Front desk staff was very efficient. Bartender was nice.
We came to Natchez not sure of what to expect, but we chose this hotel based on the reviews, and oh boy, this hotel exceeded my expectations!! I haven't a single thing to complain about our stay thus far. Everything from parking to the free breakfast has been great. Upon checking in, Jarell went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay here. Please consider this hotel for your stay in Natchez!
Checked in yesterday and Jarell was very nice and shared his annotated Natchez guide. I have hit a few of the highlights in between conference sessions. I'd probably have just holed up and napped without his guide. The breakfast is great and the best part is the shuttle will take you anywhere. You can eat, drink, and be merry anywhere downtown and they will do the driving.
This hotel has been friendly and pleasant since we arrived. Jarell did an AMAZING job making us feel welcomed and checking us in to the hotel. The room is clean and updated. We will being enjoying our time in Natchez, Mississippi. -From California
Stayed 2 nights in October for Balloon fest 2019. Beautiful hotel-Modern style, Free Hot Breakfast@ hotel , Free Shuttle bus for guests and bike rentals for $$. We had Corner Room on the 3rd floor. It was very Nice, Clean and Comfy. No Smells, Just fresh & Clean. A/C worked great. . LOVED the 2 nice Wing chairs to relax in instead of sitting on the bed or at the desk. Fridge, Microwave and coffee maker in room. Hair dryer-iron board, Hotel located approximately 2 blocks (5-10 minute walk) from Balloon fest held at Rosalie Plantation on the river and close to Food, Shopping and attractions like the Antebellum homes. Staff and front desk very nice and helpful. No problems with checking in earlier than 3:00 p.m. if they have rooms ready. Nice bar on site, but the restaurant & casino are about a 5 minute free shuttle bus ride away.
Not really sure if most are staying here to gamble or not. I am used to higher end casino hotels. As a result, this place is certainly not that! It's a good place, but is only average on the value side. The decor screams the eighties to me and not overly pleasing to the eye. When I do stay in a casino hotel I take part in the gambling. This one I did not. To be honest other reviewers scared me away from stepping foot into their casino. I heard how tight the machines are to people complaining of taking a beating. But to fair, I was not seeking a gambling spot as I am an hour away either east or west with a ton of casino choices. Every employee I made contact with was nice and helpful. The room was nice enough and fulfilled sleep and relaxation. The complimentary breakfast was of average quality and the employee in the breakfast area was very nice as she greeted patrons. This hotel provides a shuttle as well. I cannot say Magnolia Bluffs Casino is a particular great value. Considering it does provide a free breakfast that helps. I have stayed at other casino hotels that simply were nicer and I paid less. That's not a fair comparison to Magnolia Bluffs, but it's honest. But I was spending gambling money at the nicer hotels. They are the only game in town that I am aware of. I might stay again, but I would check rates elsewhere in the area first.
Very modern hotel, small so not too crowded. Shuttle to casino available 24 hours, went there and casino looked like a warehouse built over the water but nice inside and just right size, not huge and could move around very easily and play what you wanted to. Very nice rooms, clean, nice breakfast bar the next morning. Hated we weren't staying but 1 night!
Very professional from phone call to check-in through Check-out! Excellent hot breakfast! Super clean hotel. All of the staff from front to housekeeping was super friendly and very knowledgeable about hotel and city.
First trip to Natchez and selected this hotel based on its reviews and glad we did. The staff was excellent and the accommodations were great. They have an on-site bar and provide a shuttle service which will take you any place you choose. I highly recommend this hotel!
This was my first visit to this hotel. The hotel is very accommodating to your needs. The hotel lobby and rooms were very clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and able to answer questions concerning the area. The breakfast was great also. Full breakfast options also! I will be staying there in my next visit to the area for work.
Stayed here for a week while in town for business. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Fitness center, lounge and pool were also very nice. The free shuttle to and from the casino and local restaurants was a great amenity to have as well. I highly recommend this place and will always stay here on future business trips.
Jarell was such a great staff member! He was very professional and polite. He made sure my stay was great! Thanks again, Jarell, you are such a great person! The service was great. One one problem the young lady at the front desk wouldn't check to see if a room was available when I arrived a little early. I had to wait an hour and a half. But Jarell made sure I was comfortable.
My wife and I stayed at the Magnolia Bluff Hotel in Natchez, Ms. all staff members was very nice. One in particular, a young man name Jarell Johnson. He took time to give us great information about the hotel and surrounding.
We had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia Bluffs in Nachez. Breakfast was wonderful both days. The shuttle was also great taking us to a wonderful seafood buffet down by the river at the Casino one night. It was out of this world great! We had a great time touring Nachez and taking a few house tours. We would recommend the Rosalee. We also ate wonderful barbeque at Pig Out in downtown Nachez. Wonderful trip for my husband and myself. Thank you Magnolia staff for a great stay.
Stopped here for a night on a road trip ,brilliant ,large room-very clean friendly staff very good breakfast, nice little pool area great shuttle service wherever you were in the area bars/ casino just had to call to be picked up just wish we could have spent more time there highly recommend
We stayed here a couple of nights last week. It was a pleasure in every respect. The view of the Mississippi River was an added bonus to the nicely appointed room. The front desk staff, the shuttle driver and the breakfast room staff were all on top of our every need, often before we even asked. The breakfast was excellent and replenished continuously so everyone was fed without delay. The real plates and utensils were a nice touch as well. The staff was helpful even after we checked out and returned home. I had meant to use a BW rewards gift certificate to pay part of my bill. I forgot to do so. When I contacted the hotel, the Front Desk manager graciously applied the certificate to my bill and refunded the amount to my credit card. Now that's going above and beyond in customer service. It was really a great reflection of the entire stay and the sign of a well managed hotel. If we ever return to Natchez for another visit, without a doubt we will be staying at the Magnolia Bluffs BW again.
We had a conference their last week. Was worried that the property wouldn't be able to hold all of us for conference, pool, and hotel. Food was delicious that they did for us both night. Breakfast was full breakfast, not light. Food workers were extremely nice, polite. Pool isn't as big as the pictures appear but big enough for all of us. Seating around the pool was very relaxing. 6th floor has a nice area when you exit the elevator for a nice meeting area for meeting before getting the day started or after a long day. Shuttle is free and will take/pick you up from any where downtown - their property or not. That was a plus. I will definitely be back.
Great place to stay. Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast! Every person was friendly and welcoming. Good location to tour the city. Shuttle service to and from the casino about two miles away. Easy walk to the river bridge.
My stay in Natchez was made so much better by staying at the Best Western. Friendly staff, good breakfast, beautiful pool, and a shuttle that will take you and pick you up from anywhere. Clean new rooms. Great stay, thank you!
I came into the hotel not knowing what to espect especially it being my first time in Natchez the hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing the guy at the front desk was so excited to see us when we walked in and was very informative. I love it! We love the fitness room and the amazing bar everyone is so nice here definitely will visit again!
Jarell was excellent and extremely professional. The room was comfortable with a great view of the town. The breakfast is a full hardy breakfast and delicious. This hotel has everything great food, a hot tub, pool and fitness room. I will definitely stay here again
I would advise anyone to check out the Magnolia Hotel. They have a great complementary breakfast, the service was great. Beautiful clean rooms, but we were told the beds were queen size, they were not. There were 4 of us in the room and sleeping in 2 double beds was a little crowded.
Its a Casino Hotel with a but.....because the two buildings are about a mile apart. So, to compensate for this, they have a bus travelling between the two most of the day and well into the evening. The plus is that the driver will detour to drop you off anywhere you wish to go in town and then, when you phone them up, pick you up the same way. It is a great service and I was surprised to see Americans, who tip more than most, often not dropping a Dollar in the tip jar. We can't tell you anything about the Casino because we didn't go inside, but its at the bottom of the bluffs alongside the mighty Mississippi, which was so full when we were there in July that it was not far from converting it into a riverboat. The hotel and staff were very good and we would recommend them anytime.
We have stayed at this property 3 times in the past 3 years. It is a wonderful hotel, always clean. On this stay we were checked in by Custina and she was so pleasant, we above and beyond to make our stay great.
The Magnolia Bluffs was beautifully restored. The rooms are comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is a beautiful buffet with a great selection. The employees are so friendly and show great Southern hospitality. A great testament to the hotel is one of their employees who has been working breakfast for over 25 years. There is also a nice little bar and workout room. This is a casino hotel but unlike any you will find. Definitely a must do in Natchez. Great for groups or families!
The hotel receptionist Jarell was absolutely amazing. He is so helpful and kind. With this being our first trip to Natchez we did not know any good places to go and Jarell was like a fountain of information. He gave us great reccomendations for sight seeing and restaurants and helpful tips for the hotel. I hope to see him next time we come to Natchez! When we went to the casino Mrs. Brenda at the Players Lounge was so patient and nice to meet. I have never been to a casino and she was very helpful and so charming! Magnolia Bluff Casino and Hotel is the place to stay when you go to Natchez!
This place is marvelous. So we come inside to check in and we meet Jarell, the most charismatic, friendly and helpful manager I've ever met. He is literally a visitors center. His knowledge of the area astounded us. He suggested historical sites, restaurants, entertainment, and his understanding of the casino was next level! Keep up the good work and good people Magnolia Bluff Casino Hotel. We will be back!
We stayed here for a night in July. Good facilities, including a nice outdoor pool. They had fairy lights above the pool which created a good aesthetic. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. They served a big spread for breakfast in the morning. The hotel is very handy to the Casino and to the town itself.
This hotel is near the Mississippi River. It's modern for the area and within walking distance of several restaurants and tourists shops. The rooms are clean and the bar/restaurant is lively with great food and drinks. This hotel is purely southern hospitality at its best!
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Nicole at the front desk. Nicole is an incredible asset to this hotel! Not only was she pleasant and helpful, she went the extra mile to make certain we were happy with our room and had everything we needed. The room was clean, large, and very comfortable, We had a drink in the bar and, Tina, tending the bar, made superior drinks! A Nice way to wind down after a long day of driving. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Stayed here overnight while in town for a graduation. I've stayed here before on a previous visit... and I like that they offer a complimentary shuttle to the casino and have breakfast offered. The times I've stayed breakfast was included in my rate. There's plenty of parking and the pool area is nice. The price was right too. I'd stay again.
Magnolia Bluffs isn't just a gem tucked just around the bend... It's an entertainment hotspot! Located a stone's throw away from downtown, this hotel has everything you could want. Gym, pool, cable, comfortable rooms and a fun atmosphere. The staff helped to make this a comfortable stay and the concierge, Jarell, was particularly accommodating. His attentiveness was on par with hospitality. 10/10
First I'll like to thank all of the staff that's works for this fabulous hotel! We had such a amazing time a guy by the name jerel was such a great help and always has a huge smile on his face also a lady name Nicole was great assistants!!!
Magnolia Bluffs Hotel — great place. Wonderful staff. Magnolia Bluffs has a shuttle available 24 hours a day to take you/pick you up from anywhere in Natchez at no charge. Lisa Haywood on staff of the hotel went out of her way to make sure our four days in Natchez were very memorable. The city has great food and amazing history!
A nice, friendly and clean option, I would happily stay here again. Jarrell checked us in and (although coming from the UK I had trouble with the lovely southern drawl) he was very welcoming and jovial. Nice pool and hot tub.
I love the Magnolia Bluff Hotel. They have the best service. Jarell Johnson assisted me & he was the best. He taught me a lot on my first visit. I will be staying again. I will recommend anyone to come to this hotel.
My stay was awesome the staff made me feel right at home. Customer service was great throughout my stay.. The location is centralized to where I needed to go & they also have shuttle service. The room was spectacular!
The staff was super friendly and professional. They made our stay very enjoyable. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. The lobby is beautifully decorated. Lots of amenities. Highly recommend.
Upon entering our room called front desk to inform our room was hot. Told it was a hot day ( which it was).Black our curtains that were to small for the window probably didn't help.4:30am room still warm. Suggestion get a odd numbered room away from pool lights prop open door to hallway, get some of that 65degree air to come into your 74 degree room
My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of staying at Magnolia Bluffs Casino in Natchez ,Ms. We were treated With royal care. Everything was more wonderful than we could have imagined
Long term stay at the Magnolia Bluffs Hotel. Very friendly and kind staff. Sharlotte at the front desk goes above and beyond to acknowledge you and engages conversation. The Restaurant breakfast buffet staff are out of this world friendly and warm welcoming. Extremely attentive to your needs. Highly recommended
I would definitely stay here again. It was close to everything and room was comfortable and clean. The only problem we had was the forgetful housekeeping staff that would not replenish the coffee. A call to the housekeeper took care of everything, but we had to call twice, once for the coffee, once for towels. Otherwise, everything was good. The breakfast choices were more than adequate and the staff in that area exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Stopped here after we left new orleans and on route to Jackson. Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. About a 10 minute walk to a couple of bars and places to eat. Staff were friendly the hotel was clean and rooms very comfortable and spacious. The pool was also nice and clean. Managed to have an hour after strolling / driving to see what Natchez was all about. Natchez is a lovely place. Very clean and quaint. Picturesque houses and friendly locals. Great place to stop on a road trip.
Upon checking in the gentleman working on reception seemed uninterested. I was unable to read his writing on the room key and he never mentioned what it might be, this led to us initially on the second floor when our room was on the sixth. Unsure about any other rooms on the 6th floor but ours was very dated. It felt dusty. Strange set up in the cabinet with the tv on top and the fridge inside. Visited the bar for happy hour and asked for a martini $5 which came as pure gin....nothing else. That's not a martini! No bar menu either so outside of happy hour, you don't know what things cost. The pool area was nice however they never switched on the lovely lights overhanging the pool. Breakfast was okay, nice to have plates rather than disposable plates like many other hotels. Never visited the casino.
Don't be surprised that having walked into what could be a newly refurbished reception area..it's bright and very modern..it's really very nice as is the area when exiting the elevator on floor 6. Our room 611 had great views of river albeit a dull afternoon when we checked in. The room...well certainly nothing like the “public” areas. Dark outdated and in need of refurbishment. Furniture really old and dated...so what you see in the public area is not what you get. It seems to us the rooms are there but....only one light bulb in one lamp working: only one charging point on one side of the bed...should be at least one each side. Bathroom extractor fan incredibly noisy. Guess towels in the bathroom only one bath towel per person and they are small. There should be at least two bath towels per guest. The small marble table in the room hadn't been cleaned properly from previous guests as you could see where drinks had been spilt on the table glass ring marks. If we could see this why couldn't house keeping see it too. No notepad by bed or pen. Seems the rooms have been “thrown” together as cheaply as possible. Beds are very high if you are only 5'2” difficult to get onto, bed was comfy and slept well. There was some guest noise along the hallway which you could hear. Breakfast...Luke warm. Is that the norm? China plates and proper cutlery which was a plus Wish it could have been more stars but more negatives than positives for our staff.
We rode through a horrible storm to get to this hotel, so we were a little flustered on arrival. Chelsa Smith was working front desk when we arrived and initially told us the accessible accommodation that I had requested in reservation was not available. She kept trying to find the appropriate room for us and worked to put a room back on line so that we had the type room we wanted. She was very helpful and went out of her way to ensure we were happy. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Shuttle service to casino and restaurants took just a few minutes to arrive and driver was nice and a safe driver. This hotel is convenient to a tour of Natchez and is just across the street from the visitor center with lots of valuable information. Best part of this hotel is the breakfast. It is worth the stay just for the breakfast bar. We stayed for 2 nights and both mornings, there was bacon at breakfast. There was also a pancake machine, grits, cereal, pastries, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and bread for toast. We stayed at 5 other Best Western properties on this trip and this one definitely had the best breakfast by a mile. The people who worked made the breakfast even more enjoyable. They kept the food stocked, tables clean and asked if there was anything they could get for anyone. It was a great stay. Chelsa Smith and the people at breakfast bar should be commended for their wonderful service.
Nice hotel with a great bar. Our room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Enjoyed happy hour in the bar from 4-7 with $2 beers. We needed to do laundry after being on the road for awhile and hotel was very accommodating. They have two washer/dryer units in their employee service area that are available for hotel guests to use. You need to bring your own laundry soap, etc. While we enjoyed happy hour in the bar, I could easily do laundry and check on it. They have a shuttle service that will take you to/from areas in town.
The hotel features a nice lounge and pool area. It is convenient to the old town. There is a shuttle that makes getting to casinos and restaurants easy. The rooms are very comfortable, with nice amenities. However, much of the flooring is hard surface. It really exacerbated the hallway noise which went on quite late.
Friendly reception upon arrival. Staff located and assigned a top floor room with river view for us. This hotel has been re-furbished to Premier level of Best Western with nicer room furniture and decor. Clean everywhere, good A/C, good breakfast, located close to old-town Natchez.
The rooms are so nice and the beds are awesome. the staff is awesome and very nice, we used the meeting room and banquet hall. they went out of their way to make us comfortable. I will definelty be back.
The staff were the epitome of southern hospitality. Sizeable room, nice amenities, comfortable lobby where I spent several evenings reading. Convenient shuttle service. Cynthia made coming down for breakfast each morning delightful. After a torrential rain one evening our room developed a leak. Upon calling the front desk, they inspected immediately and moved us to a different room. Absolutely no complaints.
I reserved a room for April 26th on April 19th at 5pm. The person who took my reservation said he would send me an email confirmation, after 30 minutes and not receiving a confirmation, I called back and was told they were full for that day. Had I not called back I would not have know about the situation. WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVEN IF IT WAS FREE.
I have my crew here,6 rooms, the staff is so friendly and helpful!! The rooms are clean, really clean! Best place you could ask for! We will be here 5+ days, and everybody in my group has had nothing to complain about!
We stayed here for two nights. Check in was easy and room very accommodating. Location is walking distance to historic district. Breakfast was tip top with fresh items every morning. At first seemed like it was going to be overcrowded but the staff kept things moving along. Didn't try the casino but it is located a mile or so away. But the best thing was the people working at the hotel, friendly, helpful and very professional. Definitely would book a return stay.
The hotel is located less than a mile from the downtown, and just across the visitor's centre. Most attractions are nearby and walkable, but if you don't fancy the walk the hotel have a free shuttle than not only takes you to the casino but to the nearby shopping centre or the downtown. Lisa the driver is a really friendly lady, full of the southern hospitality. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is amazing. They provide free breakfast Monday to Friday, and have all the facilities that it is today required. The room have tea/coffee maker, fridge, microwave. there is a gym, and a whirlpool by the pool. The casino is about half mile from the hotel and the shuttle takes you there, when you finish you tell the casino staff that you are done and they call the shuttle for you to take you back to the hotel. As a guest to the hotel you are given a 10 dollar voucher to play but once on the casino they convert that into a 20 dollar free betting promotion. I really had a good time there, the staff was amazing and they really go the extra mile to make you feel good. They really are an asset to the hotel.
Very friendly receptionist, clean room with a great view to the river, everything is very well taken care of. The breakfast room was very well managed, refilled and cleaned continuosly by a lady who brought happiness to the room. The only downside was the WiFi internet connection, which went on and off from time to time.
The hotel is nice. The breakfast is good. But the casino is not on premises. There's a shuttle but don't be in a hurry. Waited 40 minutes. Each time we asked the answer was he's coming. So, if you're planning to visit the casino, stay somewhere else.
I stayed here for just about a month, relocating for a job. I'm glad I did. Clean hotel! The staff was extremely nice. Breakfast was cooked every morning, unlike most hotels that use powdered eggs, everything was fresh. The views are amazing, looking over the river. Hardwood floors in the room. Happy hour is everyday!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I'd go back again!!
Online check-in convenient and quick. Location walkable. Restaurants nearby. Enjoyed a lovely corner room with wrap around windows. Comfortable bed. Modern, bright hotel with friendly staff not afraid to go the extra mile. Breakfast bountiful .Took an open air 1 hr tour of Natchez area from Travel info bldg across the street. Learned the history and got to view the beautiful Victorian homes with azaleas In full bloom.
we stayed 3 nights and loved the people and hotel so much we extended for an extra day. the location of the hotel is next to the visitors center and close to all of the things we came to visit. the food was excellent each morning and they always welcomed us back when we returned in the evening
I've stayed here on and off for 3 years straight and it's by far the cleanest and most professional staff and service in the town of Natchez! Ms. Custina always takes care of my crew and I when we need anything. Ms. Chelsa is always has the nicest and prettiest greeting smile every day when we come in.
I have been staying at magnolia bluffs hotel for roughly 2 years. AND through the years Ms custina Granger has been the absolute best and most professional nice and helpful person at this establishment..
The lobby is very nice, quick check in. Room was clean. Friendly staff. Free breakfast with a large variety of items. Big selection of coffee all day long. Nice bar area. Workout room was neat and clean. Quick and easy check out.
Our room had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. The location is close to everything - Natchez Under the Hill, the Visitors Center and downtown. Excellent front desk staff - always willing to help with extra towels, heating the pool, etc. The breakfast was very good and we loved being greeted by Cynthia every morning. We would definitely go back!
Everything was great and employees professional, polite, and intent on pleasing all of their customers! Cynthia in the breakfast lounge was exceptional! Will definitely be returning! Thought it was a bit pricey for Natchez Mississippi, but was told it was due to the Natchez Pilgrimage Convention.
The hotel was extremely nice. The staff was very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The hotel shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go 24/7. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Natchez.
Stayed for one night on our visit to Natchez. Comfortable hotel with exceptional amenities and very accommodating staff. Great room with everything you need including a view of the big river. However management could replace the “jet” engine in the bathroom exhaust fan. Buffet breakfast whilst not exceptional was very good.
EVERY time my husband and I go to Mississippi we stay at this hotel. We love EVERYTHING about. The ladies at the front desk are always professional and nice. The room is always accommodating, and most of all, we look forward to seeing Ms. Cynthia at breakfast, which is always on point.
I rate this hotel very high. The shuttle van delivered and picked up guestsvery promptly and courteously. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was very comforrable and clean. The staff were all professional, courteous, and accomodating.
We arrived earlier than check in time and friendly receptionist said it was OK to park car. In fact we even got the room early. Just a short walk from town although we did use the shuttle in the evening which dropped us off and picked us up at our restaurant. Hotel room was clean and we got a had a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was good in nice bright room. We use again if in the area.
What can I say I was so impressed with this hotel from the time I booked this reservation to the time I walked in the door. Gloria, Nicole, and 2 other ladies accommodated my party of 23 and 7 rooms. With smiles and laughter after traveling as a family was a good feeling especially after traveling. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent even the workers in the breakfast area was so nice, one lady stood out the most Ms Cynthia Cook, she made sure we had everything. My husband came down late and she went out her way to get him and another gentleman a plate. I could go on about what a great experience I had, but I promise you want be disappointment. Sincerely Nicole from Birmingham, Alabama
Nicole W checked me in and could not have been more pleasant! Greeted me with a smile and was engaging the whole time. Rooms are clean, hallways and lounges are beautiful and breakfast is hot. Not much more we could all for! Highly recommended!
A most memorable weekend ,I have been many Places before all have unique scenery this Hotel Captures all the sceneries in one package .The History that is attached to this city is most mind bottling please visit Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel. Thanks Louisiana Weekend
This hotel has a very friendly staff and they are accommodating for everything you need or want. In particular Sharlotte took very good care of us. We took the limo to church at St Marys Cathedral at her urging. She helped make our stay very enjoyable. Lots of useful hints on what to do and what to see. Hotel has a nice breakfast included with the stay. Rooms are comfortable especially the king size bed. Highly recommended.,
This hotel was fine, the only downfall it has are the inconsiderate guests returning from the 24hr casino who are loud, noisy and habitual door slammers making it hard to have a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fine. I would suggest taking a higher rather than a lower floor as the lower floors seem noisier.
We love this hotel! Ms Sharlotte (desk clerk) always greets us with a great big bear hug every time we book there. She always makes us feel welcomed and we look forward to visiting with her. The lady in the breakfast area greets everyone as they come in for breakfast and makes sure your needs are met. They have a wide variety of hot breakfast food which is delicious. They have a free shuttle bus that will not only take you to the Casino but, anywhere else in the vacininity. Beds and pillows are comfortable. You won't be disappointed booking here.
Passing through and booked this online, not even realizing it was a BW Plus until I got to the desk. I thought it was a Casino hotel..but the casino is not onsite. We did not take a shuttle to the casino. The hotel was great with wonderful service. The front desk person was fantastic and friendly. The breakfast is included and wonderful. It was a little crowded, as it is very popular. Cynthia, who was working the breakfast area, is just the sweetest person.
My wife and I stayed here for a lil get away the night employees was rude they have no security it's sad this place is in with the casino bc they give the casino a bad name my wife lost her wallet n they mistreated her n stead of trying to help her
Had a little issue with 1st room so the manager upgraded me to their HIGH ROLLER ROOM and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an be an understatement. 2 large rooms with 2 t.v. and a bar, large king size bed. I was very pleased with my stay. PLUS THEY HAVE THE BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN. That was the original reason why I say here.
We enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the 24 hour shuttle to anywhere downtown was an added bonus. The complimentary breakfast was very good and an FYI for Louisianians, Community Coffee was served with breakfast!
The staff here is absolutely AMAZING!! Rooms were extremely clean. Staff always made sure we were okay and didn't need anything. Breakfast was great. Good variety of food. Southern hospitality at its finest here!
Lovely hotel and Casino on the banks of the Mississippi River in Natchez. Within a lovely walk of downtown Natchez, great pool, huge rooms, great shower pressure. I would stay here again. Natchez was a wonderful addition to our trip.
Situated alongside the Mississippi River separating the states of Mississippi and Louisiana the Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel offers its guest Southern excellence at a most reasonable cost.We arrived in the city of Natchez for a surprise a 85th birthday celebration for our mom. Our check-in reception was warm and friendly. There were even freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Our stay included complimentary breakfast each morning in the dining area of the lobby. there is a bar there also offering a nightly "HAPPY HOUR". Breakfast was a complete fare offering multiple hot and cold foods, fresh fruits, juices. waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage and biscuits with gravy and more. The lobby decorum is very modern and upscale. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a fitness center and business center for guests. The hotel also offers for its guests a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi. There is a courtesy shuttle service to and from the Magnolia Casino.
We stayed at Magnolia Bluffs Dec 29-30,2018. We attended the Murder Mystery Dinner at The Glenfield Plantation and a tour of the Jeweled Christmas at The Towers. The hotel was situated between many of the plantation homes and other attractions. It was also right across the road from the tourist information center which was very interesting. The hotel was nice, quiet, the people were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good. There was also a 24 hour shuttle. We will definitely return to this hotel!
I enjoyed my most recent stay at the hotel but I must say housekeeping seemed more noisy than my last stay. It was as if they intentionally allowed the doors to slam as they went in and out of each room from cleaning. The hotel seemed short staffed, possibly due to the holiday and ran out of clean linens at one point. The breakfast is still a great addition to a great bargain for the hotel stay.
We came to Natchez to spend time with family over Christmas, we enjoyed the hotel so much we stayed an extra night. Will be staying here again and would recommend it to friends and family. It has a shuttle service to the Casino and easy access to everything Natchez!
Easy check in and out. Great staff! Everyone was friendly and polite! Decor was perfect for the Christmas season. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Everything was clean...even the floors! We will definitely be back!
The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, and right from check in to breakfast and to check out. It is important to note that the casino is not actually attached to the hotel, but is on the river several blocks away. They do offer shuttle service to the casino and to town. The hotel is nice and the breakfast wonderful.
This is far the best hotel that I've stayed at, which they have the best breakfast and the staff is very friendly. If someone is looking for a great hotel along with a comfortable bed come to this hotel, which the breakfast is far the best.
whether you gamble or not this is a beautiful hotel. it's new, modern, spacious in the rooms and in the lobby area and spotless throughout. the check in process was handled quickly, efficiently and in a very friendly welcoming manner. we were on the sixth floor and there is a huge comfortable living are with comfortable chairs and a leather sectional that overlook the mississippi river as did our room. the bed is extremely comfortable and there is a large sitting area two comfortable upholstered chairs a lamp and a marble table. i highly recommend this hotel, it gets the highest marks 11
This hotel is clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the people at the check-in desk to the ladies at breakfast. Great choice of a place to stay in Natchez. Bed was extremely comfortable!
Very good hotel, great value. Outstanding staff, a shuttle that will take you anywhere downtown. Breakfast is good. Room Tip. Ask for a room not above or on the side of the pool as it is very noisy (smokers and people from the bar congregate there) The rooms are dated but very clean. A power bar on the desk/table would do wonders for working in the room.
The presentation when you walked in the lobby was nice and clean. The front desk staff was smiling and welcoming. The rooms were clean and I didn't smell any cigarette smoke. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from. I would stay here again.
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and what amazes me is the customer service/hospitality of the staff is second to none. I don't care if you check-in at at 12noon or 12midnight, the front desk staff is alert, professional, and courteous. However, for me it starts with the exterior of the building, the landscaping is awesome, there grounds are clean and trash free, the parking lot is in good shape, the lighting is good, and they have an active security team. The room service staff is on point and do a good job with keeping your room clean. The hotel decor is up to date, the furniture is up to date, the rooms are clean, and smell fresh The hotel restuarant staff provide awesome customer service, the food is hot, taste good, and they never run out. The dining area is clean and well maintained. I also want to personally thank several staff members below who went above and beyond the call of duty to support me and my family doing my time bereavement. They actually treated me like I was family and not like a customer/stranger. Brittanie Sharlotte Rhonda Nicole I would recommend this hotel to family and friends without hesitation, because they put the needs of the customer first!!!
So booked two rooms at the last minute as was driving from Memphis to NOLA and this is where we ended up. The rooms were fine. Clean and comfortable. In fact everything about this hotel said fine. Decent bed, decent bathroom, all round above average. The one thing that stood out was a lady who was serving at breakfast. She stood out as above average. She seemed happy in her work and that was well above average.
a great place to stay where the personnel greet you and make you feel at home. I stay here weekly and the accommodations are wonderful. Sharon, Cynthia and Tina are always kind and willing to help in any matter. recent renovations to room and a great location overlooking the Ms River.
I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and professional, they get a 5 rating. The hotel is clean updated a few years ago. Beds are comfortable. Only reason I give it a 4 was because the walls are thin, we could clearly hear the people's conversation next door. They are a few blocks away from the riverfront and downtown but have a free shuttle that runs 24 hours a day that will drop you off and pick you up.
I would stay here again. The hotel is older and maybe the decor is a little dated. The location is good. Rooms are spacious. There is a nice exercise facility, outdoor pool and hot tub. Buffet breakfast is pretty good also.
My family stayed here over a fall weekend. The stay was non-memorable in the sense that the property and service was just average. The property has the potential to be more notable based on positive location and limited market competition. I would stay again if other hotels were not available.
Only got to stay for 1 night on an extensive road trip but would certainly do so next time in the area. Hotel was very reasonable and the breakfast, included, was the best of our trip. Friendly staff and facility has all you could want. Saved even more money by staying out of their casino which is only a short shuttle ride away.
Custina Granger worked the front desk on one night and the bar on the next night and her service was outstanding. She had a smile in her voice and on her face. She went above and beyond in representing the hotel. The rooms, halls and lobbies were also well kept nice and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We have stayed at this hotel for many years, through many different names and redecorations. This time was disappointing. First, the good - clean bathroom, everything in good repair, attractive fittings, everything in working order. No rattling, leaking A/C, running toilet - that was fine. Sheets were fresh, clean and crisp. I was disappointed by surfaces on furniture needing to be cleaned off with a wet cloth. We requested a king sized bed and got two "doubles," although they were so small they were more like slightly bigger twins. Good thing there were two beds - if we'd had to sleep in one, we would have both rolled to the middle. The comforter was so heavy - but if you didn't want the comforter, there was nothing else. I wish they would provide a simple blanket, or even go back to the old polyester-filled bedcovers - at least they were lightweight. Low wattage bulbs, of course. Towel rack was mounted so I that I couldn't even reach the first towel. Extra credit for breakfast - delicious bacon, good OJ.
It's all in the name: BW Premier Collection. Excellent staff, service, location, value. Even the breakfast is served on "real" plates with "real" utensils. The best recommendation a guest can give is return business and Magnolia Bluffs can count on ours!
Just a quick overnight trip. The check in and check out was smooth. Breakfast buffet was beyond expectations. It was very crowded, but it was well stocked. The attendant was hustling to keep up and doing a good job. Free hot cookies at night was a bonus. Pool looked great, but we didn't get to try it. Wish we could've stayed another night. Location is perfect for touring Natchez.
This is a very nice Hotel. Very clean, great staff, and a great breakfast. My room had a great view of the Mississippi river. This hotel has a great pool & workout room. They have a free shuttle to their Casino down on the river. Casino has great value in three restaurants that have a variety of foods.
The hotel was very nice along with staff and servers. Breakfast was 6-9am. Checkout is 11am with opportunity late checkout. Casino is a shuttle bus ride away. Shuttle runs all night I believe. The stay was enjoyable.
We stayed at this hotel and were very pleased with the customer service and the rooms. Comfortable beds make all the difference in a good night sleep. The pool was inviting and the breakfast was available at reasonable hours.
My friend and I stayed here to go to our mutual friends wedding which was at some local estate I think is pretty famous - maybe a commenters can suggest its name - Anyway she and I had to get to the church downtown which was too far to walk from the hotel. The shuttle service normally offered to bring people from the hotel to their riverside casino offered to drive us down to the church even though it was way out of their way and not a service they normally offered. It was above and beyond and we appreciated it so much.
We stayed on September 8th. From the moment we arrived through check out we were treated like a five star hotel. The whole staff and wonderful people helping at breakfast were just wonderful. The room was clean and fresh. My wife just loved it, and i'm the picky one and i just couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks for starting our vacation off to a great start. Thank you so much from three Texas travelers .
I will definitely stay here every time I come to Natchez customer service is everything to me and they nailed it from the time I entered the hotel special THANKS to Nicole, Brittany, Chelsa,Sharlotte,Adrian, the housekeepers on the 2nd floor and the shuttle driver Keyshawn and let me not for the breakfast staff hospitality was GREAT???????
We only stayed one evening at this hotel and were VERY pleased with the staff and accommodations. Clean, bright and tasteful. The scarlet and gray lobby is very Ohio State University colors so I loved it!!! It's obvious by the narrow hallways and the many layers of paint on the room doors that this is an older property, BUT they have maintained it well. It was nice to see a large swimming pool outdoors and lots of kids playing in at night. We would definitely stay again.
My 2 sisters and I stayed at Magnolia Bluff Hotel for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. Bed were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really great. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
We are a Best Western Rewards member. When we booked the Magnolia Bluffs property, we were anxious to tour the Deep South and experience all of it's charms. After a little bit of confusion with our GPS directions in the car, (we put in Best Western Hotel, not Magnolia Bluffs which is the official name of the property) , we discovered the hotel and checked in. The rooms were immaculate in cleanliness and the front desk check in process could not have been any smoother. From our advantage point, all the mattresses at a Best Western are luxurious and provide a good nights rest, much better than other competitors we have used. Breakfast was above expectations! Home cooked bacon, sausage, waffles etc. along with cold choices. We could not have asked for more. Unfortunately, we had to depart earlier than we expected, and our check-out clerk, Sharlotte helped us magnificently with the process We can't say enough about her assistance . In closing, for the value of our dollar, this hotel property exceeds most others for the dollar paid. We want to return ASAP! If you go, greet Sharlotte and Lisa, the shuttle driver for Capt. Greybeard and his wife. Everyone at the hotel were simply super!!
Hotel was nice and view was nice. Good food but the machines were very tight. An ok experince but would have been nicer if the machines were looser. A bit off the beaten path. Kind of hard to get to due to some construction in the area. Had to stop and ask a local how to manever around it.
From the time I entered the building until I left the next morning, the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. The facility was nice and clean. The bar was well stocked. There were snacks available for purchase in the event you needed some during your stay.
My husband and I stayed here 3 nights! From the time we checked in until we left ALL of the staff was wonderful!!!! Since this was our 1st time in Natchez we were not familiar with the city. The ladies at the check-in desk were so helpful in getting us shuttles, restaurant reservations, etc. The breakfast was great. The staff in the breakfast area were so polite all 3 mornings. It was so nice starting your day off with a friendly smile. We will definitely stay here again when in Natchez!!!!
First off, I want to state that the casino is not attached to this hotel, which was great with us! We Stayed in this hotel one night. Upon checking in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable except for the pillows. They were AWFUL! Very lumpy, which made for an uncomfortable night. Breakfast was good. Location was across the street from the visitor center which, if you are wanting to tour the historic city, is where you want to begin your day
Great experience, but a very slow internet. Great hot breakfast items. Great staff and very polite. The only problem experienced was a slow internet speed. Clean rooms and quiet surroundings. Great night sleep.
This is a smaller casino and made us wonder if we would win anything. We definitely did! We had a ball. The bartender was very friendly and we felt safe there. Will definitely return for more great views and winnings.
I stayed at this location for a reason. I was there a few years back visiting a good friend, and I had such a wonderful experience. The staff was more than welcoming, my room was white-glove clean. Anything I needed and wanted, the staff made sure it was available to me. The General Manager even took time out of his day to tell me about the area with its local attractions. That ment a lot to me. So thank you again for giving me an outstanding time at this hotel of shall I say family like establishment. Will definitely come again!!
One of the friendliest staffs at any of the many hotels we have stayed at on our road trips. Free shuttle to casino about three minutes away. Quiet and safe. Beds very soft and comfortable but I guess that depends on how you like your bed. Awesome free hot breakfast buffet.
We enjoyed our time at Magnolia Bluffs. Great service, Great rooms. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty. Our stay was briefly but this town was a hit on our trip thru the south. I will be coming back this way.
Stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and the stay was absolutely wonderful. This time around some things have definitely changed, the beds are "screechy' and move around when you try turning in them, you can hear everybody in the hallways or in there room. during this stay you could hear children running in the hallways etc., and it became very annoying. the free shuttle to local attractions and to the casino was still very attractive and the front desk staff were and still are very nice and friendly. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff who work the breakfast area are the absolute BEST!!! The pool area is very, very attractive and there is a Jacuzzi along with cabana's and plenty of seating available. Overall, not sure if I will be selecting this hotel again for the next visit to Natchez or not.
Though this is not a luxury hotel, I found it the best hotel value I've had in modern memory. The hotel is located on the Natchez bluffs above the location of its casino on the riverfront. I got a special rate on the room because my wife and brother-in-law were participating in a weekend event near the facility. The lobby is bright and cheerful, and the sleek bar and dining area are adjacent to it and easily accessible. The included hot breakfast was much better than expected in quality and selection and the hostess was charming, friendly, and helpful. Other staff of the hotel were professional and knew that customer service means, first and foremost, a friendly, helpful attitude. The room was very clean and easily determined because all flooring was hard surfaced. The room was a good size and well-appointed. Although our room was close to the elevator lobby we were not disturbed by noise. It was very convenient to have ice and drink machines in the elevator lobby so you didn't have to search for them. Kevin Kickles, director of casino marketing, was very friendly and helpful at both the casino and the hotel. Overall, a great experience that exceeded expectations.
Our stay at the Magnolia Bluffs was great! The staff was exceptional every aspect! The Bartender is perfect! The facilities were very good. The lobby and bar area was beautiful and the access to the pool is great. You can watch you kid while enjoying the air-conditioning inside. The room are nice, but the wifi and tv were confusing; more so the tv! The breakfast was great! The only thing that was different, is the Casio is down by the Mississippi River, were the hotel is on the bluff away from the river. Before sounding bad, The hotel has transportation or anywhere in the town, just call and they will take you there and bring you back! This is a Best Western hotel, the price was right. The federal travel center for Natchez is right across from the hotel, within walking distance.
The lobby and restaurant are beautiful and updated however the rooms are tragically outdated. The carpet desperately needs to go. We went to the restaurant to get the drink we saw on the ad for the restaurant in the hotel elevator and they did not make them anymore ???????. Continental breakfast was decent but could use an opportunity to get a mimosa and something nicer like eggs benedict.
We recently stayed two nights in the city of Natchez on a trip north from New Orleans. The staff was nice and room satisfactory, but could have been a tad cleaner. The only significant problem we had was with the wifi... it was very poor. Please look into increasing your bandwidth! The free breakfast was quite good. Even with the connectivity issues, this is the best deal in Natchez when considering cost and quality.
I have nothing but praise for this hotel. From the amenities to the facilities, to the personable and attentive staff. This is where you should stay when in Natchez! The bar and bartender was great, the breakfast was incredible and the staff was super friendly and helpful and they actually smile.
The sales staff is amazing very accommodating for large or small groups rooms are clean view beautiful the rooms on the sixth floor are the best The staff at front desk are so friendly and helpful they went above and beyond their duty Fresh baked cookies every afternoon at front desk Nice breakfast comes with cost of room nice pool area Located near everything
My husband and I, along with friends, stayed at Magnolia Bluffs Hotel in Natchez to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everything about our stay was excellent! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool area was gorgeous! The breakfast buffet was so delicious and happy hour at the hotel bar was so much fun! We loved the fact that the shuttle bus took us wherever we needed to go downtown and picked us up when we were ready to go back. This was our first trip to Natchez, but definitely won't be our last. And we will only stay at Magnolia Bluffs Hotel!
After travelling in a car for 4 hours, we were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic, helpful staff who made us feel comfortable the second we walked in. They guided us to our spacious, luxurious room and told us about the incredible facilities such as a pool, gym and hot tub! Furthermore, they provided absolutely free transport to any restaurant in the lively town as well as a sensational breakfast buffet that had everything you could imagine. I highly recommend this unbelievable hotel to anyone wishing for a good night's sleep.
We were greeted by Nicole, a sweet, professional lady, who obviously loves her job! We selected a king room—beautifully decorated, sparkling clean & as cozy as our own bed! The hotel, like our room, is tastefully decorated with inviting furnishings and plenty of room to sip a cup of coffee or chat. We didn't visit the pool but had a beautiful view of it from our room! Speaking of views, the one looking over the Mississippi River from the 6th floor was simply gorgeous! Pleasantly surprised by great atmosphere & the BEST customer service!
Stayed 1 night on a Harley Trip around S/E States. This hotel is large, modern and clean. It is walking distance to the beautiful riverside and also the centre where there are a few bars etc. No problems, friendly staff, nice room.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Kudos to Brian Byrd and Sharlotte. Will stay here again. Rooms very cool. Hotel updated and very nice. Reasonable rates. Clean. Convenient to everything. Shuttle service excellent!
Friendly staff, nice room and great pool area. Only let down was happy hour where the bar person showed no interest and poor service. I asked what call liquor was and they were vague and claimed had never seen the sign advertising happy hour. Other than that I would recommend this hotel.
The casino is not located at this hotel, but they do offer a free shuttle to the casino. All the staff were friendly. The offer a free breakfast which is always a plus, lots of variety. Cookies and water provided in each room. I loved the pool area! You can sit at a cabana drink in hand and enjoy the pool and hot tub. We only stayed one night but if I'm ever in the area again, I would stay here again. No complaints.
Had the pleasure of visiting Natchez when all the trees lining the streets were in bloom. Simply beautiful! Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and it was well-maintained. Enjoyed our stay!
Three couples and a single friend drove from Mobile for two nights. The hotel was excellent, very clean with a helpful and friendly staff (front desk, bartenders, maintenance, house cleaning). Free breakfast was very plentiful - waffles, pancakes, muffins, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, gravy, biscuits, fresh fruits, several juices. Free shuttle took us anywhere we wanted to go. Pick up was fast. They'd use the big bus to pick us all up. Did not have time to try the salt pool. We'll just have to come back.
Everyone we encountered was full of smiles and asking how we were doing and if they could help with anything. You always come in contact with that one person that acts like they hate the world, but not here. I appreciate all the staff and making our stay comfortable, especially the lady at breakfast, don't remember her name(Cynthia, maybe) but she was a gracious ray of sunshine and just helped start our day out great! The breakfast? very good!! The bed? Soooo comfortable. The shower? perfect. We will stay here again.
This is a great, clean, contemporary hotel with a great view of the Mighty Mississippi! We were treated to very personal, courteous and friendly service. The room had a good view even though it was at the rear of the building. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The property is right across the street from the visitors center. However, the casino and restaurant are not on the property, but a free shuttle is provided. The breakfast was very good. We will be sure to return when in Natchez!
We went for our 30th High School reunion and stayed Thursday - Sunday. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had our meet and greet Friday night in the bar area and the Brian, our bartender was very friendly and patient with us. Our banquet was held there on Saturday night and they provided the food, which was all very good! The staff was very accommodating to our large group. I'll stay there again.
Everything was great except for the lack of cooling from central air unit. We couldnt sleep our last night there from being so hot. It was an extremely hot and humid weekend. No matter what temp we set it at, yje room temp kept increasing. I dont think the thermostat on wall even worked. I prefer window units. Also we had trouble with tv controls and didn't get much use out of it. But in general it is a lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly front desk staff and great breakfast buffet. I will recommend this hotel to friends.
Very pleasant and confortable hotel and I will recommend it any time as the best in Natchez. We were worried about the fact it is a casino but thanks God, the casino is in a separate building far away by the river side and the hotel then luckily offers a shuttle service anywhere in town and late at night. The second day we had a bad surprise when back around 5h30 PM to find our room still undone ! When complaining about this unacceptable sad state of affairs, we bumped into the General manager who immediately apologized about the inconvenience . He explained that 3 employees were missing that day and he himself was cleaning the rooms etc..He had the graciousness to offer us a cocktail at the bar ( we even abused his hospitality and had two and they were good). Having been a general manager I could only understand his predicament and his "rolling up his sleeves" doing the work himself. The personnel at the reception desk was pleasant, helpful and competent. We will go back there if we have a chance to visit the region again.
the restaurant right on the Mississippi river is really good. we had a really good dinner there with nice, clean decor, good service, and excellent food. try the blackened catfish with crawfish butter cream sauce, or the blackened red snapper with baked sweet potato. Both excellent choices.
Very nice hotel with courteous and professional staff. Very eager to help and offer reccomendations for places to eat and tourist sites. Also provided shuttle service to casino and back. When we were finished at casino dropped us at Bowie's and even came back to get us when we were ready to go back to hotel.
Stopped there on our way along the Mississipi, this hotel features big comfortable room, great breakfast included, free shuttle to downtown Natchez(which is not that far walking ).Casino is located further downtown along the river. Our stay was excellent.Enjoyed the pool too.
We are 2 seniors on a long road trip from Florida who stayed here for 2 nights over the Memorial Day weekend. Everything was wonderful...the staff, room, facilities, breakfast, etc. The location was perfect for us and we even won a little at the casino! Loved our stay!
Was fine for an overnight stay. Room was okay - comfy enough and was only for one night. Would have liked a safe in the room. Breakfast was pretty good especially considering it was included in the rate. We were a bit mislead about the complimentary minibus to "the centre" which actually goes to the casino at the bottom of the hill. It was quite late and dark, so we then struggled to find our way to town; we could have actually walked from the hotel once we realised. Not bad, but maybe nicer places to stay - I'd probably look elsewhere if returning.
This hotel has a great location, very nicely decorated & and excellent, friendly staff. The breakfast was quite good, also. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The 24 hour shuttle was a plus. We were pleased with our stay here.
From the time we booked in until the morning we left we were made to feel comfortable. Staff on front desk were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was a trouble for them. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was spacious and clean. Getting an extra pillow and towel was no trouble. Bed was comfortable and apart from one or two people slamming their door when they left it was a quiet stay. Breakfast was great with a huge choice of different foods. We loved our stay here and would recommend this hotel.
Good location. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Good check-in. Clean and good-sized room. This hotel is part of the Best Western chain. Stayed on third floor with a partial good view, facing North. First hotel we've stayed in that has laminate flooring in the room. There is a lack of electric receptacles in the room. It appears to be an older hotel that has been updated. Did not participate in the casino life. Breakfast was a pleasure. Good & healthy food!. The outdoor salt water pool is open (May 17). Nice grounds. Away from the noise of highways and city life. Short drive to local restaurants.
Pretty strange experience staying here. Outwardly, everything *seems* nice-- from the oatmeal raisin cookies in the room to the new and modern furniture-- but then the experience is one of an hourly. Everywhere you turn you are made to feel untrustworthy. You need a photo ID to get towels for the pool. In the bathroom there is a price list posted for every possible thing you could steal out of the room. Upon check-in you are warned not to bring any pets in, or to have any loud parties (despite the fact that there is party space on every floor). And there is some weird false advertising-- specifically, the poster in the hotel promotes the happy hour and shows pictures of cocktails (like margaritas, gin and tonics) that they do not make or are not included in happy hour. At least the pool was nice and warm...?
Everything was wonderful great location, food, casino and shopping was very close!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I will be going back asap!!!! Good food and excellent bar/ lounge. .
Beautiful rooms. it's in a great location near the bridge and not far from downtown area. room is spacious and clean. beautiful pool area. the breakfast was good and filling. good way to start the day.
Great experience. Loved the cookies! Hotel and breakfast staff were friendly, pleasant, humorous and courteous. Room was neat, clean and mattress was comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Best hotel I've seen in years...I feel like hotels have gone down in quality, cleaniness, service, not this one!! Everyone should stay here...so clean and friendly...made our stay an excellent experience!!!
Changed room and floors upon arrival, gave one of our two adjoining rooms on the requested floor to an internet booking after our request that there be no scented cleaners used. The property was clean, easy to access.
Always a fantastic stay at Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel, with gracious staff, delicious hot breakfast and super convenient location. Just minutes from downtown, Mississippi River across the street with beautiful sunset special ordered!
I'd never stayed at this hotel before but passed it several times. I absolutely loved the updated lobby area and the young lady that checked me in was so thorough and helpful. There were a lot of people in town and the parking lot was busy, but neither of those are cons. With all of that going on, it was quiet, I loved my room, and the location was great for us. We experienced no issues, there were no complaints! I wish I would've been able to stay longer and that it wasn't as cool when I was there so I could've taken advantage of the nice pool!
I was here for a leisure convention. All staff interactions were good. Kitchen / breakfast staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and modern. Sometimes traffic in area is difficult, but I definitely recommend this hotel.
The is a classy hotel with all the conveniences and manners of a 5-star hotel. I recommend it highly. Convenient to town and visitor's center is right across the street! Breakfast personnel wanted to take care of our every need.
Check in was quick and we were in our room in no time. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! If you're from the south and love your grits... you WILL love theirs. Perfectly cooked, creamy and buttery! Everything was absolutely amazing! I wish I had gotten her name, but there was a wonderful lady in the breakfast area running from table to table checking on people making sure they had everything they needed. If people wanted to take some food upstairs, she VERY happily wrapped it up for them so it wouldn't spill. She was a doll!! From the moment we walked in, until the moment we left, we were pleasantly greeted by just about everyone in this hotel. The man busing tables during breakfast..... the housekeeper... everyone wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel!!
If you get a chance to make it to breakfast you can't miss this beautiful smiling face, Cynathia. This lady will make your day, she runs circles around everyone in that kitchen area. Cynathia you are awesome, keep smiling! Sam W. Thanks for cleaning our room (405). The reasons I'm putting Sam's name out here is because of the confusion the lady's caused about doing what they get paid to do. Thank you?? Mr.Sam W. & Ms. Cynathia
I was a little concerned that this hotel would be actually connected to a casino and would have a somewhat raucous clientele. But it's not on the same property, and it's very newly renovated looking - or perhaps newly built. It's very nice, and I'd definitely go back. The accommodations were comfortable, with all the amenities we look for, such as a refrigerator and microwave, etc. The location was great, and the breakfast, which is included, was fine. We'd definitely stay again.
I would recommend the Magnolia Bluff Casino Hotel in Natchez, Mississippi. The rooms are very nice and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I experienced the highest level of hospitality services by Sharlotte Dotson and Nicole Williams. The week of April 7th, all the hotels were booked in Natchez and several of my family members needed to attend a funeral. I spoke with Sharlotte at the front desk and asked to be contacted if any avaliability opened and she did so. Sharlotte contacted me on Thursday evening to inform me that rooms were going to be available due to cancellations. Sharlotte then proceed to help accomadate several of my family members in booking their overnight stay. She was very friendly, helpful and professional.
I would recommend the Magnolia Bluffs Best Western Hotel. The hotel was great, close to shopping, the visitors centre, free shuttle and historic homes and streets . Lots to see close by. Staff was helpful. I would give it a 4 star review.
Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff that went over and above in their effort to make us comfortable. We highly recommend anyone travelling to the area to enjoy the exceptional service that they offer. Also, a full breakfast inclusive with the room cost was a great benefit.
Last year I wrote a review for my stay at Magnolia Bluffs- A place like home-and now a new review-Back home again! I stayed almost a week last year for my sick daddy and brother. I was treated so good that when my sweet daddy passed away, this was where my family and I wanted to stay.Getting a room at this time was not going to be easy, but I had gotten to know the employees so well from my last visit, and as soon as I walked through the door Custina Granger who worked at the front desk came out and gave me a big hug. I told her that my daddy had just passed away and we needed a room. She got on the computer and had us a room in minutes. She gave us a room right across from a family room where we were able to sit with family and plan my daddy's funeral. Custina was such a help! I am so thankful to her!It was a hard time for all of us but everyone was so kind to us. As usual the rooms were nice and clean and breakfast was great. I will always stay at the Magnolia Bluffs Hotel when I go to Natchez.
The rooms are nice, staff very friendly but room walls are so thin you can hear people in the next door rooms. There was a baby in the next room and when we cried we knew it. Also the other side was a loud gentlemen and you could hear all his phone conversations. Another issue was the WORST EVER INTERNET at a hotel, we would connect it wouldn't work then when connect it would drop out, very frustrating. If I ever return to Natchez will not stay this hotel.
3 couples on trikes - stayed 3/24/18. Check-in process was very pleasant, but they had been extremely swamped earlier. Rooms were very clean. All hotel staff we encountered was very pleasant. Breakfast was nicer than most complimentary hotel breakfasts, but was open to the public for a fee - not sure it it was worth paying for. They let us park trikes (motorcycle trikes) in a safe place right in front of hotel.
This hotel was recently renovated. It is fresh, clean but the rooms can be noisy as our room had a laminate floor and an adjoining room (door) next to the bed and you could literally hear every word of the individuals phone conversation like they were standing in the room. The refrigerator in the room was either not on or did not work. When we got back from the Natchez tours, our room door was open and unlocked. Our door would not close shut when you left - you had to pull it shut and the maid left it open. The bed was super soft and spongy which for someone with a bad back was not a plus. Now for the pluses - they have a nice happy hour and a self serve buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, etc. They also had a salt water pool which we did not use. The hotel is located on the river and close proximity to downtown and events. Our room was very clean and staff again was very helpful and listened. We went to the casino which does not a-join the hotel - you have to take a shuttle. It was smoke filled and it was dirty. No one was wiping down the machines and it was just grungy. The hotel and casino are separately operated but it is a “casino” hotel and people come to gamble.
The hotel was very nice. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. A free shuttle to town is convenient. You could shop or go to the casino. Sitting out by the pool was also an option. ??
Great location, right next to the historical downtown. The Natchez visitor center is just across the street and it's very helpful to go there if it's your first time in Natchez. Easy on/off from major highway going through Natchez.
The Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel in Natchez Mississippi was a great experience. The rooms were clean and well cared for and that is what you want in a hotel. The breakfast was presented nicely and the food was hot and good. But, the difference between hotels once you get by the above "price of admission" is the people and on that score, the Magnolia won high praise from me for the service and friendliness of the front desk Supervisor, Sharlotte Dotson. Sharlotte was pleasant when I checked in and was so helpful with recommendations for sites to visit and restaurants to eat. Her recommendation to visit Longwood (Southern Estate) was right on target and became a highlight of my trip to Natchez. Sharlotte, thank you for making this traveler's day and stay at Magnolia Bluffs.
This hotel was pretty average. Since it was listed as a Best Western "Premier", I guess I expected it to be a little more upscale. It was just average. Keith at check in was very nice and helpful. When we got to our room for the evening around 6PM, we kept hearing lots of banging, scraping and lots of noise. I know sometimes at hotels it is noisy, but this was a lot of noise. My husband finally looked out in the hall around 8:30PM and said, the housekeeping staff is still in the hall with their cart. It was housekeeping on our floor and apparently the one above us making all the noise. They had stopped by 9, but I found this very unusual, I guess they were full the previous night and having to work late. The hotel seems to have been updated, but you can tell it is an older property. Again, since it was a premier property, I expected the breakfast "buffet" to be really nice, especially since they advertised outside the hotel that non-guests could eat for $6. You were given a voucher for breakfast at check-in, but no one ever asked for it. The breakfast was a disappointment, it wasn't as nice as you usually see at a mid priced hotel. The eggs were just warm with a few left in the corners of the pan at 7AM. The grits had formed a skin on top, the hash browns were cold. The bread selection was white bread or white bagels. All in all, for the price we paid, it was fine, I just expected a little more.
This hotel has been beautifully renovated, The rooms are very nice. The breakfast is very good. The staff cannot do enough to make it a pleasant stay. You can also take the free shuttle to go to the Casino where there is a buffet. I bring French tour groups here and bring my whole group for dinner. Everyone loves the hotel and the employees. True Southern hospitality
This was the most friendly hotel staff we have ever met! The hotel was very clean and well maintained. We had friendly greetings everywhere we went. Sharlotte and Cynthia were the most helpful, checking on us every day during our stay. Cynthia was so attentive at breakfast, making sure we had everything we needed. Many hot food choices in addition to breads, fruit, and a few pastries. There was even a pancake machine that delivered fresh hot pancakes with a very short wait. The casino is actually not part of the hotel, but located a short shuttle ride apart. The shuttle driver, Lisa, was so helpful and friendly on our nightly trips to dinner or the casino. She had great recommendations and was very pleasant to visit with. We look forward to our next stay at the Magnolia when we visit Natchez.
Nice, but would give it more like 3.5 stars rather than 4. Rooms are clean, comfy bed, public areas bright and clean, but the decor is very modern, which to me doesn't really fit with the whole Natchez theme. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast just so-so, same offerings both days, but they did have muffins and one of those pancake machines. The sour note for me was a sign in the bathroom telling what the price for linens would be if you took them- very tacky and offensive - I think this is an older hotel that was renovated and the noise level from other rooms and hallway was noticeable
Nice stay from start to finish. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Cynthia at the breakfast bar is a delight and the full breakfast is so delicious...fresh and hot. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. They have a shuttle that will take you to and from the casino and some nearby restaurants.
The folks at the this hotel are the best I have seen. I am retired Army and stay at hotels all over this country so I know great hotels. The service provider is second to none. The food is great hand the service also. I will be returning very soon. Thanks of a positive experience.
We really didn't know what to expect with this hotel, so relied on the reviews for TripAdvisor. Our stay did not disappoint! We had a room on the 6th floor with a nice view of the river. Our room was clean with no problems. We are always happy when fresh coffee is available in the lobby area. Can't say enough about the excellent service - a special shout-out to David at the front desk who gave us the BEST suggestion for dinner. Breakfast is so-so - expected better gravy and biscuits in the South. The people at this hotel make the stay worthwhile - kudos to them.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was the standard continental. Honestly the food was just ok. Their customer service was excellent and for me that was most important.
The pleasant reception from the time I walked through the door was a breath of fresh air after a long drive and being up since 4 am! Charlotte and Kyler at the front desk were both "personality plus" and got me situated into a comfortable room very quickly. Any of the employees I encountered throughout the week were always very pleasant and friendly and we were quickly on a first name basis. They even called me on my cell phone one day to ask if I wanted my linens changed, which I DID, but had forgotten to hang the reminder on my door. Im not a big breakfast eater but enjoyed the buffet a few times. The room was equipped with everything I needed like wi-fi, microwave and small fridge for convenience. The King size bed was really comfortable and everything smelled fresh and clean like I was at home! BTW for future guests, the cookies and water in the room are FREE, I didn't realize that till that last day. Thanks to "Team Magnolia" for a warm and pleasant stay during icy weather conditions. Stacie
This hotel is about a mile away from the riverfront casino, next to the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn. The common areas are quite nice, clean and well maintained. The room was not in the greatest condition. The bathroom door would not close and the sink drain was a bit slow. The staff was friendly and competent. A shuttle is available 24/7 to transport patrons to the riverfront casino. We caught a beautiful sunset over the river from the casino on a clear, cold day in January. Natchez is a cool place to visit with lots of history, good and shameful.
I felt that I definitely got what I paid for and more during my stay at Magnolia Bluffs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the casino runs 24 hours so you can easily get there and back to the hotel whenever you'd like. The king sized bed was so comfortable and the room included a microwave, fridge and tv. Everything was clean and I couldn't hear anything from other rooms. Free breakfast as well as restaurants in the hotel. It's cozy and is worth it for the price. I'd definitely stay here again.
Love the view when I get a room with one. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Reasonable rate and great for shopping. Some fun bars around, restaurants, antique shops and tours if you like and there is always the gambling.
The Magnolia Hotel is a hotel I have frequent on numerous occasions. This visit in the year of 2017 was the best visit ever. Upon entering into the hotel, the ambiance was phenomenal. Pleasant people pleasant surrounding. The upgrade was spectacular. The rooms were fresh, clean, and inviting. The grounds clean. Have not been able to swim yet but, just the thought of a salt water pool is invigorating.
The main thing that we remember about this hotel are the people! The staff is by far the friendliest we have encountered. This is especially true for the breakfast buffet. While we were seated the staff was always coming over to remove unneeded plates etc and offering to bring us refills on coffee, orange juice etc. The breakfast included freshly cooked eggs bacon and grits. The lobby and outdoor pool areas are nice, but not in the winter weather we had. The rooms themselves are fine, but not memorable.
Stayed here 1 night on route to Memphis from New Orleans. Staff were exceptional. Friendly and very approachable. Rooms big and clean. Breakfast great fun, you could make your own pancakes and waffles. Would definitely recommend it
While staying at another hotel in Natchez. We visited here. We went to the bar and we were greeted by the best bartender ever. Coustina was her name. After being there a few minutes the hotel director came by and gave us the scoop on the hotel. We stayed there for hours and met some great people. The hotel is beautiful. It is very clean and the staff is outstanding. The next time I stay in Natchez it will be at the Magnolia Bluff!!!
Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel has everything: Super nice beds, large rooms, good gym and a hearty breakfast. In spite of the slighter ignorant girls in the reception, the hotel is highly recommended, folks! Go stay here...
Excellent and informed staff. Check in was quick, room could be updated a bit but was clean and more than adequate. Breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast buffet bar. Check out was quick and efficient. Very affordable. Great place to stay!
Booked this through Booking.com at $105. When we get there signs in the elevator advertise a $69/night rate for Sunday thru Thursday-how stupid is that??? So, we go back to the desk and ask for the lower rate-no deal, if you book through the internet. We get to the room and find it smell like mildew and mold. My brave wife refuses to stay, visits the from desk and asked and gets a refund. We leave and go to Choctaw Hall for the best stay of our life.
All of the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Free high speed internet (I did speed test and it was really high speed- I was able to use a roku stick in hotel TV without problem). Great value, convenient to multiple good restaurants and shuttle to casino. I highly recommend this hotel.
Lobby is lovely, rooms are comfortable and clean but could use some redecorating. Staff were friendly and breakfast hostess was full of sunshine. The casino is not on site but have a 24 hour shuttle. We were not there to go to the casino. They also have a bar with great prices during happy hour. There is also a fire pit at the outdoor pool.
The staff from the front desk to the lady in the breakfast dining area were friendly and ready to help any way they could. The room was very clean, roomy and comfortable beds. I really liked that the room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast selection was amazing as was the lady in the dining area. As for the location, excellent. It was so convenient to all attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel is a great option, but I cannot say enough good things about the staff. So very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the servers at breakfast. We really felt comfortable staying at this hotel. The room were clean, we were especially happy that the floors were wood and not carpet - just makes the room feel so much cleaner. Also, the breakfast served every morning was good - some of the best bacon I have ever had!
Beautiful facility with updated decor, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, and very friendly staff. Delicious complimentary cookies and water in the room to enjoy. There is a shuttle upon request to the casino. Great stay!
We visited during Thanksgiving week. Our room was on the top floor with an amazing view of the Mississippi River. Great fun to watch the traffic on the river. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The whole staff made us feel so welcomed especially the "Breakfast Crew". Definitely would recommend it to all our fellow travelers.
I'm sorry and hate to make completely negative reviews, but I have nothing good to say. The whole 2 hours we were there we were not offered one drink !!!! I expect smoke in casinos, but it seemed very hot and like there was no ventilation . The smoke was bad!!!!!! There is also a very poor selection of slots. Very unlikely that we will ever return to the casino there again. We used our free play and each spent 20 bucks more. We were so bored we didn't even feel like gambling anymore. We left!!!!
Our favorite the whole trip! Great employee's, free "hot" breakfast, wonderful spacious rooms, very clean. Very modern and different from other hotels. They have free shuttle service to the casino which was really nice. Casino was very entertaining with a great atmosphere.
This was by far one of my best hotel visits anywhere. I honestly cannot say a bad thing about this hotel. The staff was so pleasant and happy to assist. The breakfast was delicious. They have a Happy Hour. The rate is very reasonable. There is a 24 hour Shuttle to take you around the immediate area and to the Casino. All in all, a great place to stay.
There is no casino at this hotel, it is advertised on the expedia web site that it is a casino hotel. They call a shuttle service that takes you to a casino some distance away on the river. They also advertise as a scenic view of the Mississippi river, there is no such view from the hotel. Just to clear up a few things that you may expect before you go.
We were in town for Angels on the Bluff. It is a very nice hotel. The staff was on point. Our bed was very comfy. Breakfast was good with a good variety. We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel.
great location not only to visit Natchez but definitely to drive around the whole countryside around Natchez and admire the various plantation houses, out of which many have been turned into a hotel or B & B's, these are usually beautiful but rather on the higher price level. The hotel is close to the casino and that was also a nice place to play the slot machines a bit and check out the casino buffet, good! The only thing wew were disappointed that nobody warned us on the Sunday morning breakfast service stopped at 9 am, a nice breakfast guy had pity and gave us some very good cakes!
We were passing through on a road trip and needed somewhere to stay, and this was a good choice. Room was very dated in style but clean and a decent size. Beds were comfortable and we had a good nights' sleep. Free parking. Breakfast had a decent selection of hot and cold food, given it was free. It's not going to win any awards but was good value and did the job.
The people treat you with respect and a friendly attitude. They speak from the heart and want you to enjoy your visit. Nothing is too much. A real pleasure so you can focus on enjoying Natchez. Also, the hotel is very clean.
My Mother, daughter and myself stayed at this wonderful hotel recently. The staff were so gracious. The manager actually served us drinks at happy hour. We stayed in one of the hotel's suites and had the best stay. The front desk was so helpful in providing information about tours of the antebellum homes. Thank you Magnolia Bluffs for making our stay so special!
Even though we asked for an assisted room they had none that would qualify....Entire hotel had tubs with no walk in showers with shower seats.....The room was almost as small as our suit cases.....Our bed was lumpy and a queen rather than the king that we asked for.....As an added insult, their breakfast left much to be desired....
We stayed here for business the other week. At the same time there was a professional fishing tournament occurring in the area, and it seemed like all participants were staying at the hotel. Not a big deal, but parking was hard to come by. You can still park across the street. The hotel had a decent bar located downstairs, and you could obtain a food delivery menu from a nearby restaurant. The fitness center looked pretty nice, but I never tried it out. There is a free shuttle available at the hotel that will take you to the casino located roughly a mile away. No need to worry about whether or not you can gamble away your children's college tuition; just hop on that shuttle and bring cash! Overall, this property is very nice and accommodating. The staff was particularly friendly as well. Have a good one. Boom!
Stayed 8 nights here for business. The hotel is very clean and updated. Breakfast was good. There is no restaurant in hotel, but several good ones nearby. The Director of Sales and her staff were outstanding thought out the week.
The casino is around ten minutes away by shuttle, and the main casino restaurants only open at the weekend. The hotel itself is fairly quiet and the bar area deserted, asked for a sauvingon blanc and the barman proceeded to list all the reds ,lol. Asked for a beer and he just waved his arm at the display fridge, that was it no engagement, no personal touch, maybe that's why it was deserted.Rooms ok, clean and a good size. THE TV seemed to be set up for cable only but no subscription appeared to have been done. Nice breakfast and the ladies clearing tables and topping up the food were super friendly and lovely.
Stayed in Natchez to view historical homes for a vacation. WAZE directions were correct and pictures on Trip Advisor are correct as well. Parking was a bit tight for our minivan, but there was plenty of spaces. Check in was quick and not a problem. Elevators are available to get you to your room. Our room was recently updated and looked ok. Bathroom was a bit cramped for two people. The hotel must have a towel theft problem due to notices in the bathroom. The room next to us was under renovation I think since the noise started early in the morning and you could hear discussions on what to do next. Also later in the week there was a family with kids in that room and we heard muffled voices. Bed is a pillow top bed and slept fairly well. View was nothing spectacular at from the third floor and you might have a good view of the river from a higher floor. You are given breakfast cards for each day of your stay. Breakfast is a hot one with eggs, bacon, grits and waffles along with the usual cold fare. Weekend hostess was exceptional but the one during the weekdays was not as good. Hotel is near the casino with 24 hour shuttle service. We did not go to the casino, so we can't speak to it, but the hotel was full of those that did. Check out was equally as fast as check in, so no problem there. There is not a restaurant in the hotel and Natchez is a bit limited in selection so plan dinner well, especially if it happens to be 8:30. Most of the local places close at 9.
We thoroughly enjoyed our night here. The hotel is very clean and modern, the staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable and quiet. Although it is a casino hotel the casino is on a separate site with a free shuttle between the two. If you want a good value hotel without the noise of a casino, this is the place to go. Breakfast was a bit basic but OK. Worth giving it a try.
We were on a motor coach tour from the Chicago area to visit the Vicksburg and Natchez areas. We stayed three nights at Magnolia Bluffs Hotel. The hotel has recently been updated and everything from the lobby to the rooms was decorated very tastefully. Every one we encountered showed us just what Souther hospitality is all about; the front desk, the greeter at breakfast, the lady bartender, the maintenance man and Sales Manager all provided outstanding service. Six in our group used the free casino shuttle to go to a local restaurant for dinner and on the return trip the shuttle was full for those wishing to return to the hotel. Four of the group wanted to return to the hotel so the driver said she'd return right away. We weren't waiting but a few minutes and a mini-van pulled up. The window rolled down and Val Harveston, Sales Mgr, said hop in and drove us to the casino. Great service all around.
