Loved this place, It was the best place we stayed in Germany. Large rooms, good restaurant and spa. The managers Natalie and Nadine were great

Convenient to the great sight of Ludwigsburg, the vast and impressive 18th century Residenzschloss (a 15 minute walk). The closer Marktplatz is also very fine. The hotel is bland and modern but our rooms were comfortable, with large double beds and good air conditioning, and it offered parking. Breakfast was ok but in a rather crowded, over-warm room.

We had a family emergency and needed a hotel that's walkable between train station, city centre and our family's house. The BW Favorit checked all points. From initial check-in to our last day, the stay was outstanding. First off, the staff. We chatted daily with the front staff, they are very helpful, no matter what you need. Housekeeping is very thorough, we really appreciated how impeccably well they cleaned! The friendly breakfast attendants were a joy to see every morning. Which brings me to the breakfast buffet. Fresh German rolls, breads and pastries every morning, hot options, fruits, cereals, yogurts, cold cuts – we stayed 2 weeks and always enjoyed it. I really appreciated their dairy free milk option. They also have a great coffee machine; the cafe crema is highly recommended! We also spent the long Easter weekend here and the hotel made sure everyone had an Easter treat, thank you! The location is perfect for quiet sleepers, and I appreciated that every window opened for fresh air. WiFi was strong enough for streaming and getting work done. Only thing I'd recommend for improvement is limiting the dog friendliness to hotel rooms. I love dogs but we had a guest bring their dog to breakfast (it was not a service dog) and that's probably not enjoyable for all guests.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It started with a reserved parking spot and a wonderful dinner recommendation at a nearby restaurant. Wonderful hotel with a super staff that are very friendly and professional.

The Best Western Hotel in Ludwigsburg is a gorgeous hotel. It lies in a rather quiet street, Gartenstraße, in which there is hardly any traffic and, apart from that, there is no disturbing music inside. The peacefulness is therefore the dominant feature in that hotel. They were kind enough to allocate me a bedroom complying with the requirements set forth in my reservation message, to wit at the end of a corridor and far from the lifts. The room was great: bright and very comfortable. It was apparently sound proof, at least no noise was audible during all the time I lodged there. There was in the room everything needed to assure an excellent stay at the hotel. I felt very well in that bedroom and was sorry to leave it on the day of my departure. The staff members are kind and helpful, especially the ladies who work at the dining room at breakfast time. They are very diligent and affable. The breakfast is also very good. All the food available for that meal is plentiful and of a high quality. The fruits are fresh, savoury and varied, as well as the pastry which is also very tasty. Therefore, this hotel is a highly recommendable place to stay in Ludwigsburg. In addition to the foregoing, it's very well located, at about ten minutes walk from the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace. The only small weak point is the price of the parking, which is too expensive. As to the rest everything is super.

You can walk to the Castle from the hotel in minutes and close to shopping and restaurants. parking is a little tight otherwise great value for such a great location. Front desk was extremely helpful and the breakfast room was the best we has seen on our trip through Germany.

We have stayed because of business trip and it was a very pleasant stay overall. Upon our arrival we have been greeted by a very friendly lady at the reception. The rooms might be small, but it is definitely enough for short stays and what is highly appreciated is the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast is very good, you get really all you need also as vegetarian. The staff is also very friendly. The internet connection is good, I have been able to work from the room for some hours, also making calls.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel. It is the 2nd time the elevator did not work. Not good if your staying on the 5th floor. I'm sitting in the lobby , writing this review so I remember the frustration of lugging y bag down 5 flights of stairs. I reported it to the manager on duty who seemed cavalier and uncaring. This could be an otherwise fine hotel but some things definitely need updating nd management need a distinct improvement. My room on the 5th floor was just OK. There were cracks in the caulking and the shower was just OK...not good , just OK . Bread\\fast was good and breakfast help seemed friendly and efficient.. To end my review, I would caution anyone who has a handicap or doesn't want and stair workout to avoid this property. After my 2nd misfortune here , I won't be returning.

This hotel has a great location as well as a breakfast that is considerably better than the average mid-range chain of hotels serves. It is on a quiet street only a 10 minute walk from the train station and from the city marktplatz. The big negative for this hotel is the small room size. For two people our room felt very crowded. It's location and breakfast combined with reasonable price however seems to keep the place at near full capacity.

The hotel is pleasantly surprising, so it can be recommended for the stay. Service is amiable, welcoming. The rooms are renovated, the design of the room is made in not like in conventional hotels, the feeling in the room "as at home". All equipment is in good working order. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is delicious, varied choice, even salmon is included in a buffet. Total: a good hotel with friendly service. Would be an ideal option for a business trip. The hotel is well located in the city center.

We stayed for a conference in this hotel for two nights. The rooms were clean and nice, but a little bit on the small side. The hotel is about 5-10min walk from the citycenter so we did not need transport to get there. Breakfast was fine too, everything we needed was there. The only bad thing I know of is the really small parking garage (very low height) which can easily damage even standard cars. Did not happen with our car, since we pit it in a nearby parkhouse, but be careful there. So next time we will stay there again.

I arrived with a car and most of the parking spaces were reserved, but the lady on the desk was very helpful and found a solution. The reception area is very tastefully designed and is inviting to take a drink late at night. The rooms are small, but one has everything one needs.

The hotel is booked for a business trip. The hotel is very cozy. The rooms are not very spacious but have everything you need. Furniture, plumbing new, in working condition. Breakfasts are good. Recommend for business trip.

A great little hotel. Walking distance to malls, shops and restaurants both small local shops and big outlets. Close to town square. The rooms were small but very efficiently laid out. Queen bed was 2 big singles pushed together but given the historic buildings they have to squeeze furniture in. The breakfast was truly excellent, very fresh and healthy choices. There's a communal lounge. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely return.

The hotel is nice, modern, everything is clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. Provided everything you need. The breakfast was delicious, the offer was great. The reception service was perfect, so was the cleaning of the room.

The hotel is situated centrally, easy walking distance to all the local sights yet it is in a quiet side street. Single rooms are not big but they are well equipped and comfortable with kettle and coffee/tea in them. The staff will also happily turn on the sauna for you anytime of the day. Very fresh breakfast spread with good variety.

Nice hotel. The room was rather small but clean, quiet, and looked new. The place is centrally located, some 10 minutes to the palace. Good wi-fi, good breakfast. They have a garage in the basement at an additional cost of €12, but the parking is limited, you have to write them in advance to reserve a spot.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and I liked it. The hotel is more modern compared to the one in Schwieberdingen. The location is great as it is very close to the Ludwigsburg central station. A lot of options to eat around. In my presence, the hotel was quite. Rooms were clean, and everything needed was provided. Breakfast was great too. What I did not like was the attitude of one of the staff members. I stayed here when it was 20-25 degrees Celsius, and it was pretty warm in the room. I couldn't open windows because it just wasn't enough for me and because light in the room was attracting insects from outside(I was on ground floor). So I called the reception to inquire about the AC remote and if i could get it. And he said "oh it is just 20, but okay". I did get the AC remote, but I didn't like what he said and his tone too. I do not care if its 10 outside. If I am paying for a service, I want it. I did not ask for his opinion. I regret not knowing his name. This is the only reason I am giving this hotel a 3 star.

Hotel is located in centre of Ludwigsburg with easy access to the attractive town centre and a short walk away from the railway station. Small hotel with tastefully chosen contemporary furnishings. My single room was small with a compact but well eqipped bathroom(shower not tub) Air conditioning was provided. Generous breakfast.

simple. clean. quite. well heated. small room but new and elegant and is enough. has no external view. the location is good, close enough to the main square. close to the main train station, and to the shopping Malls.

this is a really nice and cozy hotel. the single room is small but what can you expect for a single room? it is really nicely furnished and really clean :) really close to the city center (10 mins walk tops) and close to the Ludwigsburg Castle (15-20 mins walk max). it is also close to the bus and train station (10 mins walk). oh, and their breakfast was tasty :)

Our room was comfort room which is spacy and on the 4th floor. The room was big and very clean. Breakfast is very good with a large variety wich will fit anyone. The hotel has a nice bar in the loby and can also offer you a parking.

This hotel is a brief walk from the train station, even with luggage. From the hotel it is a short walk to the Christmas market. The staff is helpful. Breakfast is good with a nice selection. I would stay here again.

The place looks new. Is comfortable and clean and best news is that they have fans in the rooms. Breakfast is adequate and nice. Parking is available. Beds are too soft but I guess it's a standard. Location on a quiet street is a bonus

Nice simple hotel with good amenities. Our room was clean, unexpectedly large (although it seems one of the largest on the floor) and quite pleasant, firm bedding, good quality bathroom, tea and coffee etc. but no safe. Front desk smiling and helpful. Parking next door and not too expensive. So no complaint except for the elevator noise that was quite painful in the morning, obviously some service was needed!! Didn't try the sauna and the breakfast.Price reasonable. Quite recommandable.

Stayed here a few times, and was happy enough with the hotel. Very basic and can be noisy if near car park door. It is centrally located in Ludwigsburg. Car park is tiny and hard to park, but parking in a hotel is handy.

The hotel is almost downtown and by feet you can reach all the touristic sites of the city. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is various and very good. The only disappointment is the air conditioning : no device in the room!

I don't think I would stay here again but accommodations were not terrible. It seemed like it was not in a nice area. The hotel itself seemed nice enough. Good food and nice bar. Rooms were a bit outdated,especially the bathrooms. But it was not the worst place I've stayed.

Modern hotel in a quiet side street of Ludwigsburg. Only 5 minutes walking distance to the railway station, high frequency of trains to Stuttgart. Beautiful baroque castle in Ludwigsburg, worth visiting.

This hotel is located at a place where a fairly short walk is needed from the major restaurants in Ludwigsburg, so it is pretty convenient. The room is clean but small, comparing to other hotels we have also stayed in this trip. I would have gotten a bigger room with the same price, if it had been arranged by myself but not with the tour group that we are travelling with. Breakfast is at normal standard - not bad and nothing surprising. The car park's design is very weird that arriving at 11pm, we can only find the spots either at the corner at the dead end or under the parking rack. I find the way I park at other hotels is much simplier, where every car has its own spot.

The hotel is 5 minute walk from the station to S bahn and trains to anywhere to Stuttgart and vicinity. It is 5 minute walk to the shopping area and 15 minutes walk to the Ludwigsburg Palace. The hotel is clean and provides a good breakfast and a free wifi in the rooms. The room is moderate in size and equipped with all essentials but no safety box. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Finding a good hotel in a downtown location at a reasonable price can be a challenge. We found this hotel through our Travel Guide for Germany. The location on a small side street and it's unassuming facade / entrance belies what you find inside. It starts with friendly staff at the reception, and an inviting and clean lobby. Although the first room offered didn't meet our space requirement to place the luggage, we were immediately offered a more suitable room. The room was clean and well equipped, and the breakfast bar in the morning offered everything a traveler could ask for. We had initially planed to stay 3 days, we did extend it to 5 days based on our first day experience. Parking space is available in the underground garage, but getting your car properly placed in one of the available bays is something else. Eventually one gets the hang of it after a lot of practice, but it is not something I would want to have to put up with on a regular basis. ....but a European customer compared to a North American may find this quite acceptable.

Excellent 3 stars hotel in the center of the city. Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet, have air conditioning and room bar. The staff are very kind and the breakfast is very good, I specially like those little brownies. On Easter Sunday we had a very pleasant surprise finding choco gifts by the door in the morning. :)

This hotel is situated on a quiet street within walking distance from the train station. German efficiency is not wasted here, with quick check in and check out. Rooms and common areas are clean and comfortable with the amenities you would expect from a business hotel. I really appreciated the quietness of the hotel and the good, albeit standard, breakfast choices. Staff was pleasant and very helpful with recommendations for restaurants close to the hotel. For me, the quietness of the hotel and the comfort of the bed made a difference, as well as the attention of the staff.

So glad we chose this hotel. The front desk staff were so helpful and accommodating to our needs. A bad review about parking almost scared us off but upon expressing concerns about that before deciding to check in, they freely showed us the parking so we could decide. (They have parking garage but it is not free. 12 Euros a day I think. We chose a comfort room which was larger than the lowest price. It was a lovely corner room on a quiet street. Large bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite nice with a large selection of bacon, sausages, breads, cheeses, cereals and fruit. Great rates and a great location.

Don't miss castles Big garden in the north of the city don't miss tango dancing (gartenstraBe) it has kind people you can enjoy driving the weather is great all the time so you can enjoy walking with your friend!

The hotel is very clean, in a great location (pretty much just a block from the main shopping area) and it had one of the best breakfasts I had in Germany!! I will definitely come back here should I need a hotel in Ludwigsburg. The reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars are: Drop off is a hassle as the hotel is in a tight residential area with major construction across (in Jan/Feb 2015) and doesn't have a breeze way. What was weird is that there was no ramp, just stairs. I am pretty strong and was able to lift my suitcases but what about wheelchairs and strollers??? Also, I'd love more than 1 coat hanger and towel :)

Located in a quiet back street Best Western Hotel Favorit Ludwigsburg is a quasi family run hotel. If you have a car you will have to use their underground garage (@ €7/day) because all street parking is controlled. The hotel meets Best Western standards and the breakfast buffet was sumptuous (including smoked salmon). The room was very welcoming with brown string shag carpet and a warm ambience. My only complaint was the piling jersey sheets. I ended up sleeping between the two duvets as the sheets were so rough.

Hotel was fully booked due to a fair which resulted in a too high price for that type of hotel. I had a small room with a extremely small bathroom. No coffee or thee in the room. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of bread, cheese and fruits. Coffee made by Nespresso. Locatiion is good, only about 600 meter away from Railway station and walking distance to the city center.

Our family (2 adults, 2 older teenagers) stayed in 2 rooms for 4 nights in mid December. The rooms were apparently refurbished in summer 2014 and it shows. Extremely clean, spacious enough for us, with good showers, great wifi. It is 15 mins from Stuttgart, easily accessible by train (regional & local services). Hotel is walking distance to train and main shops (up a very short, small 'rise'). Very close to lovely local Christmas market & palace. Breakfast was good, with a generous selection of meats/cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit and fresh fruit salad, juices, a few hot selections (eggs, bacon, sausage, beans), several different breads and rolls, condiments. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.
