"Clean and Comfortable. Beautiful hotel with Great Staff."
Special Ed W, 11 Octobre 2024

Every comfort of a home away from home. All I can try to describe is how comfortable everything about this hotel really is. The rooms.. large and clean. Everything worked perfectly. Beds were comfortable and clean. Pillows..perfect for a great nights sleep. Breakfast..Completely amazing. Something for everyone..and really good. The Staff..Amazing!! EVERY member we had any contact with was truly a good person. Recommend to anyone who needs a temporary place to call home..away from home.

"Quiet surroundings."
Vicky W, 26 Août 2024

This hotel has beautiful wooden floors. The staff is totally awesome. Great breakfast. No elevators. It has two floors. The beds were very comfortable. Very quiet surroundings. Very clean hotel. The room had a slight smell but we opened a window which aired out nicely. Overall this hotel is a great stay for LaPine, OR.

"Most Convenient and Comfy Stay for Fort Rock"
extramochafilm, 24 Août 2024

If I were ever in the area again or passing through, I'd stay here - 100%. Staff was super friendly, lobby was cozy, room was exactly what was offered and needed. We stayed 3 nights -- it was central to all of our tourist stops in Fort Rock, Bend, and Crater Lake. In parking lot, you have access to McDonald's, Subway, and a gas station. They have an indoor pool and included breakfast. My only negative (and it would not deter me from staying here again) was the mosquito problem out in the parking lot. There were many and they were hungry! This was in June, so of course, bug season. There was a lot of construction happening on the street during our stay but you couldn't hear any of it from inside your room, so that was a PLUS!

"Pleasant Trip"
Dennisprysner1, 10 Juillet 2024

I chose the La Pine Best Western as I was in the area for a personal trip and found the hotel to be well staffed with helpful associates, clean and friendly environment. It was quiet in the evening and centrally located to many businesses and restaurants. Would definitely choose this hotel on my next visit (which will be in the fall).

"I Stay at a lot of hotels....poorest service I have ever seen anywhere!"
flyfairsky, 30 Juin 2024

Booked two rooms for a week. After my first night stay I returned after working all day. Both of our rooms were sold out and occupied by other guests. I was told that there were no other rooms available and we need to find accommodations elsewhere. I called them out on extremely poor service. Then they claimed that I was harassing them. I'm the customer that had to find a room elsewhere. WOW run don't walk away from this Hotel!!

"Oregon trail"
mwoeste, 21 Juin 2024

This is an older hotel that is well maintained, rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The surrounding area does not have a lot going on. There are very few restaurants or attractions. Rates are generally reasonable.

"Not senior friendly"
gingercruzan, 16 Juin 2024

This hotel does not have an elevator for 2nd floor guests. You have to lug your suitcases and stuff upstairs. Handicap or Seniors should request 1st floor rooms

"Good place to stay"
43traveler, 01 Juin 2024

We stayed for two nights while visiting relatives in the area. Very nice hotel. Clean and quiet. Non smoking and really appreciated that it is pet free.

"Very nice !"
hannahismycat, 20 Mai 2024

We stayed in a fireplace suite, a bedroom and a front room with fireplace. Upon check in, we noticed the sink in the bathroom was plugged solid. The maintenance man came and spent quite a while making it perfect. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning. The lady cooking did an awesome job keeping up with a ton of hungry travelers. (She works hard..leave a tip !) Overall the stay was great, quiet!

"Beautiful"
lkeener2024, 20 Mai 2024

Love the decor and esthetics, the staff at check in was absolutely awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

"Beautiful Lobby!"
Lynette51, 14 Mai 2024

Upon entering the lobby is beautiful. The fireplace and the wooden staircase so impressive. The front reception staff are excellent! Room was very comfortable, large and quiet. Lots of parking. Breakfast was very good. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked great. Definitely recommend.

"lovely as always"
lindf2024, 04 Mai 2024

Best western always knows where to put themselves for the traveler. I can always count on find a comfortable clean place to rest on our travels

"Exceptionally clean, comfortable with friendly staff."
monasusief, 02 Mai 2024

This hotel is nicely situated if you are traveling to Crater Lake and don't mind the hour and a half drive to the South entrance. BW Newberry Station is very clean and well appointed. It is probably the quietest hotel I have even stayed in. The staff is helpful and very friendly. We had a room at the back of the building so the Wifi was very slow and frequently timed out. The staff mentioned that they re going to install a Wifi extender to help with that issue. We stayed here for two nights to do some snowshoeing at Crater Lake. La Pine, although small, had a very nice Rays Market and other smaller markets along with several restaurants. I would stay here again.

"clean and comfy"
NorthStar43219350550, 24 Avril 2024

Best Western has clean and comfy beds. Even when a Best Western isn't in a "destination spot" they always keep their hotels clean and comfortable. i know i can reliably stay at a Best Western.

"Best hotel in area!"
jasf134, 04 Janvier 2024

Great staff, lodge-like feel, highly recommended! Travel through here every other week and always stay here. Better than all the other hotels in the Bend area. If you are headed south through Bend to K Falls this is the place to stay.

"Nice hotel"
tiretim34, 23 Décembre 2023

The staff is always really nice and helpful, and it is a nice little town. Anything you need is within walking distance. For the most part. The people in town are also really nice. Figure those pizza was a good place to eat.

"Nice and cozy"
mdcent, 10 Décembre 2023

Service team welcoming. Room clean and cozy. I had not thought to stay in La Pine. I usually plow through to Bend. Definitely worth stopping. Breakfast available. Pool/hot tub relaxing. Would recommend.

"Perfect motel for a cozy overnight"
Colene M, 18 Novembre 2023

Pleasant, helpful staff. Clean, well stocked room. Quiet, comfortable sleep. Full breakfast with nice staff. We'd definitely stop here again when in central Oregon. And perhaps as a base for exploring the interesting surroundings.

"Clean, quiet and nice"
d0nandkara, 14 Novembre 2023

This hotel was perfect for us after three long days on the road. The bed was comfortable. The room was very quiet and clean. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast options were broad, from fruit (apples) to oatmeal, eggs, sausage and waffles. The coffee was great! We will stay here again.

"Overnight stay"
hglick5419, 03 Octobre 2023

Customer service was very friendly. Breakfast was great with a wonderful lady keeping it very nice. Room was very comfortable and the lobby was very nice as well. The layout of the building was also well designed.

"Expected basic, got basic."
KatieDuncs, 16 Septembre 2023

Stayed here to break up a journey north from Ashland. Not a lot of choice in this area. Receptionist functionally civil, rest of staff miserable except a cleaning lady who was lovely. Very miserable old woman at breakfast, gave me a withering look when I filled my small water bottle... poor-looking oranges were marked with an advisory to take only one, you get the idea. Clearly the US hasn't received the memo re single-use plastic. Air con wasn't working properly in the room, and it was unseasonably hot. Room good size, furnishings tired. Expected basic, got basic.

"Great home base for multiple adventures"
Greg L, 03 Septembre 2023

The Newberry Inn is a great home base for multiple adventures you might have in Central Oregon. Easy access to the Cascade Lakes Highway and lakes and hiking, many options not far away for food and other amenities. Good prices and easy to get in and out from.

"Very nice stay!"
natoh, 27 Août 2023

When most accommodations offerings center on House Rentals, which can be too much at times, staying at La Pine Best Western was a nice surprise. They provide a nice place to stay with local food stores and restaurants in walking distance. The hotel staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Excellent front desk staff!

"Everything I needed was here"
Jbigpapa, 27 Août 2023

Shops, hiway, gas, and restaurants within walking distance. For my purpose the golf courses I played in were just a short jaunt away. I enjoyed the staffs daily info. I have double knee replacements so after each round of golf I used the hottub and pool daily

"Lapine Oregon over night stay"
FarAway32793, 26 Juillet 2023

Very nice out of the way hotel, quiet. Breakfast was good and nice pool! The room was comfortable, staff great. This was the 7th hotel we stayed at on our trip and the best one. The only drawback for mobility issues there is no elevator.

"Only if the internet is not important"
Rheinhold F, 26 Juillet 2023

The lobby, breakfast area and rooms are nicely appointed. Staff are attentive. Good location for the south end of the Newberry Volcanic Monument. So-so American breakfast meaning A) it's free but B) it's missing bagels and toast. Limited selection of dry cereals and no granola. Decaf coffee is an afterthought an week. Overnight coffee is limited to what's left in one pot. But, the big issue is the internet, or lack thereof. We were in room 303 (which is actually on the 1st floor - go figure) and couldn't get internet. Internet was okay in the lobby and the breakfast room - sometimes.

"Don't stay here"
kasie34k, 18 Juillet 2023

Horrible horrible horrible staff. Rude, condescending, not helpful with simple requests - and they dont care at all. I dont thing there is any accountability from mgmt. AND the room was expensive and filthy.

"Simply Amazing"
mikado2k, 10 Juillet 2023

I could not find one thing wrong, this Best Western is the BEST hotel I've stayed at. From the room to the breakfast, pool and location this hotel has it all. Rooms were great and roomy. The food was great, the staff was 5 star. The location was next to everything yet far enough away to be like a lodge. The entrance is the start of a wonderful stay.

"Not Much Competition Nearby"
TravelingNan32, 28 Juin 2023

We were traveling south to Crater NP and booked this hotel. There aren't many choices in the area. It was fine for the night. Old furniture and carpeting, clean enough, functional. Be advised that there is no elevator, you have to carry your luggage up the grand staircase in the lobby. The breakfast in the morning was barely adequate, no toaster available. Don't expect more than basic.

"Great place"
404louisn, 12 Juin 2023

Great place to stay. We enjoyed our night stay with the breakfast in the morning. We stay here when we have business in La Pine which is several times a year. The beds are comfortable, pillows are ok. Had a very nice night.

"Won't Stay Again"
Mike C, 07 Juin 2023

Stayed overnight on our trip to Idaho. First off, the area in front of lobby was chained off so we couldn't unload our luggage before parking. There are no elevators so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. We both have physical issues. Lastly, requested a receipt at checkout but they were unable to print it. Said they'd email it but 6 days later it still hasn't arrived. Desk staff seemed not to give a s_ _t.

"Nice,clean, comfortable"
patrisiawolfe9481, 06 Janvier 2023

The hotel is always clean. They have good breakfast. A nice pool. We stayed in a queen room with one bed. On the down stairs level. The staff is friendly. The only down side I have is that the internet didn't let us connect our playstation.

"Off the main road and quiet"
Robert N, 29 Décembre 2022

This BW has expanded with a new wing since we last stayed. Area around the hotel has built up a lot but the location remains off the main road and quiet. Very friendly staff, nice hot breakfast, clean rooms, excellent WiFi.

"A long time participant"
James B, 20 Décembre 2022

Been with Best Western for over 20 years would highly recommend to any traveler. Been a joy to watch the development over the years. From room phones to internet calling. From a coffee bar to a full serving breakfast. Its a company interested in people.

"Best of the Best Western"
Bud0207, 07 Novembre 2022

Just traveling through without any advance reservations. This is a hidden gem in a small town! Gal at desk gave us a room in the back away from road noise. Best place, best value of any hotel since covid!

"Moving to La Pine, Oregon"
Diane H, 31 Octobre 2022

Amazing place to stay: Warm, inviting, and pleasant environment; great fall decorations; warm, thoughtful, professional staff; delicious free breakfast; all rooms were exceptionally clean; comfortable beds and pillows; informative staff that were able to answer all of our questions about La Pine. Great Team ~ Great Hotel ~ I'll be back!

"Consistent and Wonderful"
KaylaR380, 28 Octobre 2022

This Best Western is one of the best we've stayed at. Always clean, well maintained, friendly staff and great breakfast. The breakfast lady is always welcoming and helpful. The pool is nice and the internet works well.

"Don't e late for breakfast"
Explorer670534, 04 Octobre 2022

We were 3 minutes late for breakfast and people were still eating at many tables. We're told that breakfast was closed at 9am and we were out of luck. Staff at night were very helpful and nice when we checked in but morning staff are different animals.

"A comfy room."
BarryandNicolaG, 01 Octobre 2022

The 2 bed queen room at the Best Western in La Pine was huge. We were in the new wing. The beds were comfy and the shower good. Lots of parking with easy access to your rooms. The breakfast was fine and there are some restaurants close by.

"Dirty room/bugs"
benjofive5, 31 Août 2022

Stayed at the Newberry Station location, checked into the room, there was hair in the tub, overall room is tired and dingy. Called front desk, told there is nothing they can do to clean it up, asked for sanitizing wipes, they claim they do not have any. Next morning, wake up with bug bites (appear to be bed bugs), go to front desk, tell the front desk person and ask for the manager, told he is not in but will get back with me. I never hear back even after calling. I email Best Western and get a form letter from Phil Roberts (GM) stating he is sorry and please stay with us again. Best Western Corporate has been worthless as they claim these are franchises. I would not ever stay at this place again. There is no service in this hotel and the place is unacceptable!!!

"No AC, bad breakfast"
paula b, 29 Août 2022

This was our third stay at Newberry Station in LaPine, booking the same 2 room suite. It was apparent that no updates have been done to the room since our first visit 4 years ago. Carpets are old and not clean, possibly because they only clean when guests check out unless requested. There are no end tables next to the couch or chair, so consider that if you want to sit a snack or beverage down while watching TV or reading. You won't want to sit anything on the furniture. The room has very low lighting. The air conditioning did not work, forcing us to open windows overnight with highway and hotel parking lot noise waking us up all night. The hotel is aware of this as we overheard the front desk telling a guest that 'this time of year the AC doesn't quite make it to all rooms'. Fans were available in the room, and contributed to the noise level at night, but did little to cool the room during our stay when daytime temperatures were in the 90s. We almost checked out early because we could not sleep, but we'd scheduled activities during our stay that we wanted to keep. Breakfast is bad, with sparse replenishment. Institutional tasting hot options, no bread for toast at 7am because 'somebody ate it all'. We have been rewards members for many years, and this was a disappointing experience.

"One of the more comfortable stays I've had."
Lieslmt2022, 22 Août 2022

The breakfast provided was hot, well prepared lots to choose from. I've a handicaps, use a cane or walker and staff was always ready to help getting my tray to a table. We neglected to put the service room when we left for the day, and happily brought more towels and toiletries needed.

"Unexpected quility in a small but quaint town"
birdbranch, 11 Août 2022

Located in a quaint small town, quite location, nice grounds kept well, ate at the Mexican restruant in town, very good, there are some othert choices available that the locals told me were also very good. Singnage location a little hard to spot when unfamilure with highway. Hotel seemed well maintained and was very comfortable

"Girl's Trip"
dianesM7443UA, 29 Juillet 2022

A great place to stay while traveling. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and really quiet in the evening. It is the best, well kept hotel in the LaPine area and ver easy to access. Loved the western motif and the cleanliness of the hotel.

"Great place for the family to stay"
M6644JCdonh, 25 Juillet 2022

Very clean and friendly place for the whole family. Great customer service and spotless rooms (and pool). Many near by food options. Our teenage boys loved having Sub Way, Taco Bell and McDonalds all very short walk. Us adults loved the near by distillery with great food trucks. Far more options than most towns of this size.

"Disgusting + Poor Customer Service"
Dana N, 20 Juillet 2022

We love Best Westerns usually. My husband and I stayed at Newberry Station on July 2nd and we were originally supposed to check out on July 5th. When we arrived on July 2nd, the hotel was busy and the woman at the front desk was frazzled due to multiple guests and in house phone calls. She mentioned that she was the only staff person on site. We were told that the hotel had been overbooked, and the only room that was available to us was the ADA room. That was disappointing as I was going to request a second floor room. When we got to our room, we were appalled at the state of the room. Absolutely filthy. See photos. Dead spiders, thick mold under faucet that I could scrape w Qtip, visibly moldy bathroom in multiple places, moldy smelling shower, a dirty toilet bowl with rings and stains, urine on toilet bolts, toothpaste on the faucet, dirty mirror, dusty carpet, dirty light switches and doors. It seemed like the ADA room had not been stayed in for quite some time, but when looking at other recent reviews of other rooms, it appears to be a housekeeping issue that is not isolated to only the ADA room. Knowing that housekeeping is not up to par in general, and there was no one available to clean our room anyway, we decided to leave in the morning. The following morning I spoke with Casey and asked for a manager. I was informed once again that he was the only one on site and a manager was not available. He agreed to lower our very high $365 nightly rate to $189 but was not able to go any lower than that. He gave me the manager Phil's business card to discuss further reimbursement. We were willing to pay a portion of our stay to be fair, because we did stay, but we didn't think that it was worth $189. I wrote Phil an email with photos a few days later. Waited a week with no reply. Then I called. He was out. Next day, called again and was able to speak to him. He said that he didn't really see anything wrong with anything in my photos. The spider could have happened "right before I walked in," that the urine around the toilet knobs was "hard water," that the chunky mold on my Qtip from under the faucet was standard, and that I was looking too hard for dirt. What a liar. You, dear person reading my review, please judge the photos for yourself! Needless to say, he wouldn't take anything more off of our nightly rate and we paid $189 dollars for the grossest stay at a Best Western ever. Did not feel good about the prospect of staying for breakfast. PS - I saw their housekeeper. She is a tweaker.

"Not so good"
Robin I, 15 Juillet 2022

When we checked into our room there was a really bad odor we thought it was coming from the bathroom it smelled like urine or mold or something like that We had to leave and we came back much later that evening in time to go to bed and by that time the entire room smelled I could hardly sleep that night. And next morning we looked around the bathroom there was some black goo or something on the bottom of the showerhead it could possibly have been mold I guess the bottom line is the bathroom hadn't been clean very well I alerted the front desk and told him we needed to change rooms as we were staying another night They were very nice about it and accommodating we waited for another room to be cleaned and it was much cleaner they could do a better job of scrubbing the tub surround though because you can see the grime other than that it was clean The second morning we tried the breakfast before we left town and it was terrible the only thing that was edible to me was a yogurt the orange juice was just orange water there might've been something wrong with the juice machine anyway all in all it was just an OK visit little disappointed

"Enjoy the Stay!"
meshrex, 28 Juin 2022

I would highly recommend the Newberry Best Western in LaPine because of the staff, rooms, breakfast, location and nearness to fast food restaurants. Climbing stairs with luggage can be a challenge for older guests. TV channels were limited.

"Used to be a pet friendly property"
Sq12345678, 15 Juin 2022

Only reason we stayed here was because it was pet friendly. The location is way off from any location near bend or any other activities. Off the highway and yes subway and a gas station near by. Their breakfast is terrible. No longer pet friendly then it is not worth the over priced not in an ideal location. It is a truck driver spot and they are charging premium prices. Don't fall for it.

"Very poor hotel"
Sondra K, 14 Juin 2022

Res a king, given a queen, told it was oversize, it wasn't. Candy & other food under bed, our service dog got it & we cleaned it up. When pulling back comforter found hair on sheets. Told the reception, she offered to vacuum but we had already gotten it cleaned up. No offer to change room. Very tired from long stressful drive & added pressure to find a place to eat, most closed. Expected mgr would help with proper adj, offered 10. I told him on phone if our dog would have eaten that it could have killed or hurt them, then they'd have a big vet bill. During check out he took a long phone call, then started to work with me, but wanted me to step aside while he helped a man behind me. I said I've already been patient 10 minutes. He didn't say what he would do. Got the bill, a 10.00 adjustment is an insult. This is our worst experience at a hotel ever. Travel min 90 days in hotels per yr. It was disgusting. Unsanitary food at breakfast.

"Overall"
Philipglander, 11 Juin 2022

We were on out honeymoon. My fiance and I chose BW due to.the cost and amenities. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lady serving breakfast was always pleasant and kept the area clean and well stocked. The pool and hot tub also were well kept.

"Newberry station, Lapine, Oregon"
travelerBoring, 05 Juin 2022

Very clean motel. The items in the breakfast were tasty. Staff helpful. The internet information is on the receipt, not on the key cover which is the usual case. I tried calling the office but didn't see anywhere to connect on the phone. My bad? The mattress was excellent. Will call to see what brand.

"Well Kept, Friendly and Quiet"
Richard K, 26 Mai 2022

We spent a Friday night here on the way home from Crater Lake. The entire hotel is very nice and appears to have been refurbished sometime in the last few years. Comfortable beds. Rooms were roomy and quiet. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Standard Best Western breakfast - lots of choice and adequate - not fancy, but you will not leave hungry. Three items to be aware of: there is no elevator. If you are mobility impaired request a first floor room. The only ice machine was on the first floor so you have to go up and down stairs to get ice. This is the first Best Western we have ever stayed at that breakfast did not go until 10 a.m. on the weekend. Breakfast ends at 9 everyday so make sure you don't miss eating if you are there on Saturday or Sunday.

"Top Notch."
j0hing, 19 Mai 2022

The gal at the front counter was excellent. Funny and animated. Really knew the job. Her partner behind the counter had a menu in his hand before I got done asking about the Asian restaurant next door. Motel desk, lobby, pool/spa areas were spotlessly clean. Room was spotless. Mattress was great. Two quality pillows each is a great touch. It would e nice if there was a little more of a comforter/ blanket for the bed. On to morning...Amazing! they serve a full breakfast of fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and link sausage. That's all I partook of but there was a lot of other food for breakfast too. I/we do the motel thing very seldom. Over the years I've know Best Wester to be somewhat close to the premium hotels/motels. I consider this Best western to be a great buy for a great experience!

"My home away from home."
dirtytennisball1, 06 Mai 2022

The Newberry Station is my first choice every time when I stay in La Pine, Or. I consider it my home away from home. From the manager Phil greeting me, by first name, to the delightful staff, always ready to accommodate. The beds are also a dream, I sleep so good. And the breakfast is Fantastic!

"Always consistant"
KaylaR380, 27 Avril 2022

Very clean and well maintained lodging. Staff is always friendly. Great Mexican food restaurant just down the road you should definitely try. (Cinco De Mayo) Beautiful area with lots of hiking and activities to enjoy.

"Excellent Motel"
deb2460, 19 Avril 2022

We had 2 queens, the room was well insulated, clean and very comfortable. The pool/spa area the same, the pool could have been a little warmer but the kiddos loved it.I stayed in the hot tub mostly.. Staff was very friendly. The was probably one of the nicest motels we have stayed in especially for the price,

"Texas Hot shot"
keeponpushingllc86, 17 Avril 2022

Customer service was very nice, got you checked in and out fast!!! Offered hot chocolate which I love ,the room had a fire place and the lobby as well kept us warm & cozy!!! The breakfast was alright but I was in a safe place right on time !!!Thanks

"Not family friendly, or disabled friendly, or clean, or COVID safe"
Tehmoley, 05 Avril 2022

They are absolutely not doing any of the COVID cleaning or wearing masks, so don't believe that. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times, with family and friends given them plenty of chances and they never improve - I would say they've gotten worse overall. This last stay was enough to motivate me to leave a review. We checked in and we're joking about the carpet color being chosen because it hides dirt, then the baby found a used band aid and it didn't seem so funny anymore. They do not vacuum the rooms or even attempt to clean around or under anything. There was an earthy, moldy smell that we traced to the in room coffeemaker which still had coffee left behind from a previous guest, along with a cloud of gnats. Since I had just been told off for being so inconvenient at the front desk when asking for a ground floor room in the fully booked hotel(she was yelling out to the very long line that they were booked and not to wait if they had no reservation) considering there is no elevator and dragging my oxygen tank up the stairs then trying not to pass out is not my idea of fun, I decided to choose my battles and cleaned out the coffeemaker then went to war on gnats. I won a battle there but ultimately they won the war by invading nostrils, eyeballs and our pizza at every opportunity. We booked the room specifically to have my son's seventh birthday there. He loves to swim, it's all he wanted to do. He got to swim, and that's all that went well. A previous visit cured us of using their breakfast at all. The woman running their breakfast is rude, refuses to make additional food and combative when politely asked for things. Out of waffle batter an hour before breakfast ended, jealously guarding biscuits and gravy and making extremely rude comments about me and my oldest son. We had a party of seven during that visit, five of which are children and were trying to be polite by eating in the room instead of setting that loose on your dining room. The front desk told us it was totally fine to take food to the room since covid was still raging, but the food guard will act as though you are stealing and even think it's fine to snap at your kid that they're taking way too much food. This visit added another layer to already lackluster service - they charged the disabled woman with the oxygen tank a cleaning fee for being required to clean crumbs from a carpet and wash linens. We noticed on the last visit that there was dirt on the sheets where someone's feet had rubbed, so washing linens is apparently optional at this place, but I didn't realize they were going to charge me to do something they should always do between guests. I brought a trash bag to the place, bagged up all the garbage from the party except pizza boxes which we stacked and some very dried out cupcakes that didn't fit. They charged me a $50 cleaning fee. When I called to ask why first I was snapped at that the room was “trashed”, that we left pizza boxes everywhere when they were in a tidy little stack, that they had to wash the bedding because cupcake got on it, then that they had to clean crumbs out of the carpet, then snapped at that I could come down and look at the carpet myself then. It was two days after I checked out, they charged a cleaning fee but never cleaned it? Your staff should be able bodied enough to take out trash from a room, and to vacuum the floor. These are reasonable expectations when you're paying way too much to stay at a two star hotel. Being charged when they should be cleaning between every guest is not okay, at all. Lying to me and changing their story repeatedly makes me believe someone there did something stupid - like knocking over trash, stepping on it, then blamed me. I know for an absolute fact when we left that room there was no huge, unreasonable mess. I know I spent 45 minutes cleaning up to make sure there was not an unreasonable mess. I move slow thanks to my damaged lungs but I did a decent job - nothing worse on the floor than when we arrived! TLDR; dirty rooms, rude service, stole $50 from a disabled woman

"Clean hotel!"
Superior Expedi... M, 21 Mars 2022

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. I travel often with business and stay in hotels throughout the country. This will definitely be my go to in this ara.

"Quiet and Restful"
dianesisler, 04 Mars 2022

Beautiful and quiet. The motel is decorated in a rustic mountainous theme and it is beautiful as well as very cozy and warm. Maps took us right to the motel; kind of off the beaten path but that is what makes it so charming and desirable

"Not your normal Best Western"
steelfish2003, 06 Février 2022

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff gave our room to someone else, the room we did get was dirty and dingy. There were stains on the sheets. Parking is terrible. We canceled our reservation for the following two nights and went to another hotel.

"Very well maintained hotel"
KaylaR380, 02 Décembre 2021

Hotel was clean and lots of little maintenance projects were underway that let you know as a consumer the management was working hard to keep the hotel in excellent shape. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the eggs were cooked fresh and perfect. Breakfast room was also clean and well cared for. We will definitely stay at this Best Western in the future.

"Love this place!"
danavangundy, 05 Novembre 2021

Very comfortable and clean. Staff is very helpful breakfast warm and good. Quiet and very cozy rooms very comfortable beds. We were very pleasantly surprised after booking this while driving all day and not being able to find a room available.

"Awful customer service, overcharged us and wouldn't explain why"
johnarama, 19 Septembre 2021

When we first got to this Best Western, instead of giving us the 2 Queen bed room we had reserved online, they gave us a room with one bed and a couch with a fold-out bed. No big deal, but not what we reserved. They said they would charge us less because they didn't have the room we ordered. The next day, the WiFi didn't work. The staff at the front desk (Tammy in particular) treated me like I was too stupid to know how to connect a computer to the internet. The internet didn't work on any one of four devices but they refused to reset the router or do anything to help us get connected to the internet. Later that day we checked our bank statement and noticed they were charging us hundreds of dollars more than what was stated on our reservation. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, they refused to even look up our reservation in the system, saying "that could be from anywhere," when it was directly from Best Western's website. I've stayed in Best Westerns all over the world and this one is by far the worst of any of them. I would recommend you stay away from this place unless you want to be overcharged and then gaslit. Also the front desk staff were maskless much of the time, not a good look during a pandemic.

"Excellent place to stay"
Claudia D, 15 Septembre 2021

Everyone working here was so friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautifully maintained and the rooms very comfortable. Great location and easy to walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"A welcome, clean and quiet hotel chain option close to Crater Lake National Park"
Joyce J, 13 Septembre 2021

When researching lodging options for a visit to Crater Lake, we were pleased to find a Best Western within an hour of the park's north entrance. La Pine is a busy little place with plenty of dining options between the hotel and the park.

"Very Good"
Joseph S, 13 Septembre 2021

Look, we're talking neither the Ritz nor a youth hostel here, The hotel is a very good middle-of-the road roadside inn. It is clean, comfortable and convenient with a great staff. It represents a good value, too.

"Less than Best Western standards."
228marvinr, 10 Septembre 2021

Check-in/out was average. The room was not up to standards. There was no comfortable chair to relax in. The coffee maker was mediocre at best. There was no toilet seat cover to prevent pathogen spread in micro spray when flushed. The towel bar was not within reach of either the sink or shower resulting in water on the floor.

"MOST EXCELLENT!!!"
Mel L, 30 Août 2021

This was our 3rd Best Western on this trip and definitely....saved the Best for Last!!! (and coincidentally the cheapest)!!! The room was immaculate, spacious and well appointed. Comfy bed. Most definitely felt the room was worth the price. The whole property is well maintained. The staff were very helpful. Even provided us with rags to clean our motorcycle. Very quiet in room 306. Subway located just across the parking lot. Delicious HOT breakfast provided.

"Last minute excellence"
Ted E, 17 Août 2021

We called late afternoon and were able to reserve a room with what we needed. We were able to check in quickly on arrival and the room was just what we needed. The entire facility was in great shape and well maintained.

"Best Hotel on our trip"
malyseroberts, 13 Août 2021

This is a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff and attractive decor. The room was spacious and immaculate. The bed linens were fresh and crisp. The bath linens were excellent quality. This is one of the best hotels for the price we have ever stayed in.

"Charming Rustic Lodge - Great Staff"
Gail P, 01 Août 2021

I am a BW Rewards Member but got a better price using Priceline. I realized too late that by doing that I passed up other benefits of their program. I was registered for several BW promos that included bonus points and $20 gift cards for my stay but you don't get them when you book through a third party booker. I won't make that mistake again! I couldn't find an available room in Bend so was glad to find a room only a short drive away, in La Pine, a very small town a half an hour south of Bend, Oregon. It was somewhat close to the very large "Bootleg" fire (July 2021) so I called the day before to see if they were affected by it. I spoke with Tyler who said they were fine, clear skies, no smoke etc. This is a lovely, charming hotel that looks like a wooden lodge amongst beautiful pine trees. When checking in the desk person was away on a task so a staff member going off duty - Amanda - stepped in to check me in even when she wasn't working. Thank you Amanda!! Clean, quiet, updated rooms with all the amenities. No elevator for the 2nd floor if you need one but we didn't so it was fine. Included breakfast with hot food choices in a large dining room. While the info book in the room was somewhat out of date and the channel guide was all wrong, we managed to find and excellent Mexican restaurant a few blocks away for a nice dinner. Easy quick check out the next day as you get your receipt from Priceline not BW, as explained to me by a manager at the desk. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if passing through the area. So lovely!!

"Clean and comfortable"
nicolediane, 29 Juillet 2021

We had a nice one night stay during our travels around Oregon. Casey checked us in and was a friendly face after a long day of driving. Liz had a smile at breakfast. It was like there was no more COVID though. No one was wearing masks and they were doing their usual breakfast. We enjoyed being able to do waffles again and tried to give others some space. Breakfast options were fine. Pool and hot tub were open. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Glad we picked this Best Western.

"Newberry stay for Crater Lake"
bradyfick2021, 29 Juillet 2021

Came for visit to crater lake. Few hotel options. Comfortable but dated decor. Staff very courteous and helpful. Our AC didn't work both nights we were there. Sounds like dated equipment that malfunctions frequently from the staff response. Attempted to fix but still didn't work. No elevator. Pool and spa were small but not crowded and fun for my family/two kids. Breakfast was very good but selection limited. Not much for fresh fruit.

"Great Stay!"
sierradude2021, 25 Juillet 2021

We were on the road for sixteen hrs straight driving and needed to get some sleep desperately. We pulled in at 3 o'clock or so in the afternoon and we were so relieved to hear they had a room that was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend this place!

"Great Stay, facilities and staff."
irenehowardkayak, 20 Juillet 2021

Will definately stay here at our next trip. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable the price was right, the free breakfast was good and plentiful and the staff was friendly. Thank you for a nice visit.

"Great Staff"
EMAL123456, 18 Juillet 2021

While the hotel decor was overall dated, the hotel staff made everything perfect. They were all friendly, helpful, and genuine. Breakfast smell great when I came down to the lobby in the morning. Definitely stay again.

"not dog friendly as advertised"
H4476OJjerrym, 06 Juillet 2021

The price for the room was $279. Very average room. The first room offered to us was smoke filled and they transferred us to another room that was smoke free. What if there was no other room available? There must have been 15 signs wherever there was some grass, saying no pets. The only place for a dog to relieve itself was an adjacent woody area with sparse grass; I'm not sure it was even owned by the hotel. There was a large overhead awning at the front entrance but it was blocked off by chains and flower pots. Why would they go to the expense of building it only to keep customers to use it in checking in. The hotel is out dated as testified by the bathrooms. I'm not a fan and will question Best Western hotels in the future. The association is not doing their job in maintaining standards.

"We had a restful and happy stay."
C8634BCbonnieh, 05 Juillet 2021

Liz cooks a great free breakfast with a big smile. She was accommodating beyond the call of duty and was a cheery first face to greet us in the morning. The indoor pool is truly beautiful and very clean. The hot tub was delightful We stayed four nights so we got to know the place. There is no elevator, but sometimes that's not a problem because the numbering of the rooms is a bit different than expected. 404, you see, is on the second floor. You'd have to be here to understand. We had a great visit with our family. Thanks!

"comfortable"
Carole T, 02 Juillet 2021

room was comfortably furnished and had everything that we needed. an extra washcloth, hand towel, and bath towel would have been nice. We stayed 2 nights but were only supplied with towels for 1 night

"Disappointing"
Bruce G, 28 Juin 2021

The air conditioner cooling unit, which in our room was mounted above the ceiling tiles adjacent to the bathroom, began leaking water soon after we checked in. The water dripped onto the tile floor. The front desk gave us some towels and said they would call the maintenance person, but they had no more rooms available and could not move us. That was the end of it. The water dripped all night, keeping us awake. We never heard another word out of them about it, no followup, no apology, no inquiry, no offer of a discount, nothing. We checked out at 11AM, but never saw or heard from the maintenance person. I don't see any reason to think they won't simply clean up the water and rent it to someone else with the leak still unattended to. Other grievances include toothpaste splatter on the bathroom mirror, chips in the tub enamel, and ... breakfast. The BW breakfast is usually barely edible buffet style; they have switched to a table service arrangement during this phase of the pandemic reopening, on the pretext that it was somehow safer for the public. One of the persons working behind the counter was chattering incessantly with the customers with her nose sticking over her mask, scratching her head and touching the food, while the other was grumbling about having to wash her hands. There were about a dozen people milling around aimlessly trying to get food, and at 8:45AM they had already run out of some kinds of food. Later, housekeeping ignored the do not disturb sign on the door and knocked well before checkout time.

"Nice motel in a small town"
Paul M, 13 Juin 2021

We stayed here while visiting Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. They served a full hot breakfast in spite of COVID (staff with masks and gloves dished up the food for us). We would definitely stay here again in the future.

"This tired traveler learned her lesson"
5thompsonsare, 01 Juin 2021

RV camping trip to the area abruptly changed to a night in a hotel. We made reservations through Hotels.com for this BW. Called BW desk to confirm late arrival and procedures. Upon arrival to desk, close to midnight, was told no reservation in my name. They were fully booked and all had been checked in. Contacted Hotels.com for full refund and made arrangements for another place further up the road. Next morning, I received a phone call from BW Manager. Apparently, I did have a room after all. BW had it noted that I had already checked in. Two staff at the BW desk when I tried to check in and neither one thought to 'think' their way through this problem. I just got the "we can't guarantee rooms booked through a third party site" speech and was promptly ignored. No other offer of help offered. Neither one thought to look at the list of guest names, even after I told them that I had called to confirm after making the reservation thought Hotels.com. BW Manager apologized and mentioned reprimanding the employees for their lack of customer service. I suggested additional common sense training also. This traveler has added another 'what if' lesson to the play book for traveling. Do not take no for an answer, even when tired, it's late and you have been on the road for hours... do the front desk clerks job for yourself.

"Nice Hotel in La Pine"
Redwood125, 26 Avril 2021

The Queen bed room in this hotel is spacious. The front desk area is nice if you like to relax outside of the room. Did not eat breakfast. The Wikiup Station is a good place to eat if you like bar food and drinks.

"Excellent hotel to stay at!"
brianlarman, 22 Avril 2021

The front desk manager was extremely nice and professional as well as the two different ladies serving breakfast in the mornings. The room was nice and clean with the bed being very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

"Great place"
j0hnwlee, 12 Avril 2021

The hotel was very quiet and gave easy access to everything. The entrance to the hotel was a little confusing but this added to it being quiet. The only problem I had was the internet. Easy to logon the first time but difficult to access after that.

"Great overall"
rosework326, 31 Mars 2021

Everything went relatively well. I did get money held on my account for a night I didn't stay, all because I asked how much an extra night would be and she added it to my stay without my consent. They kept the money on hold for 4 days, even after the night was canceled. Aside from that everything else was great.

"Great stop on Hwy 97"
Fearless02964918914, 28 Mars 2021

The hotel is very clean and decorated to be a welcoming place. There are several fast food and dining options within walking distance and ample parking. The room was spotless and I saw that the pool is now open as well as the hot breakfast was being served by hotel staff.

"There is a lot to improve on"
elisacm2, 15 Février 2021

update the website to let guests know if a breakfast will not be provided. I would not consider a water bottle, rotten apple and a Nutri-grain bar in a paper bag to be "breakfast". The room was extremely dirty. The bedside table had food smudges all over it. There was what appeared to be ketchup, all over the back of the chair. The microwave was unplugged and when we tried to plug it in, we notices about a half inch if dust as well as food and garbage behind it. The cord could not reach the outlet and when we brought it to the attention of the front desk, they did not provide an extension cord. When we informed them of the mess, they did not offer to clean it, rather gave us a antibacterial wipe.

"Great service"
ralphjameslucas, 19 Novembre 2020

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the location is great. Very quiet even though the highway is close by. With COVID still causing problems the staff had to modify breakfast serving but they handled it very well.

"Very spacious and comfortable room with good value for the money"
Jeff A M, 07 Novembre 2020

This hotel was very clean and modern with a very spacious functionally laid-out room. The bathroom was clean and in good working order. The room was quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast experience each day of our stay; the food was very tasty and there were good selections that changed daily.

"Hotel stays in Covid environment"
bsusee, 26 Octobre 2020

Best Western Newberry Station is a great hotel to visit, especially in the world we now live in. All Covid related precautions seem to be in place and that fact helped us feel secure. I am CEO a large company and I know the challenges of ensuring that our staff and customers are protected in regards to our Covid crisis. Best Western obviously meets or exceeds my expectations.

"Almost like being at home!"
corinnehibbs, 20 Octobre 2020

We enjoy every experience we've had at this hotel, from the front end staffed to the accommodating room service personnel. Everyone makes you feel like you are almost at home. Thanks for all you do and providing such a comfortable stay while we visit our family.

"Phil Roberts, Manager"
gs731gs, 11 Octobre 2020

Actually had to cancel Fri, Sat due to family issue and res. for Mon, Tues. Got the kiss my*****. We like the hotel and have stayed there quite a few times. Me a senior and 73 and my wife 69 scorned by Phil Roberts---our policy is to take you $100 bill and don't bother me, I'm probably texting. He loses our business and has lost that business for the restaurants and grocery stores there. Phil Roberts extols the new American business model (the customer is there to accommodate the business). In fairness this a great place; close to Bend/Redmond and for seniors eat, drink, play cards. Phil's a winner since all businesses are doing so well this year.

"good value, comfortable beds"
55brentp, 09 Septembre 2020

good value, comfortable beds. Nice staff. Eating area downstairs was good place to eat takeout food. Evening staff was helpful with plates and utensils. La Pine is slowly building into a convenience town. Has grocery stores, a few fast food places and a good Chinese place down a side street I think it was called Lucky Fortune. Lots of food per order. Two orders will feed a family.

"Beautiful hotel"
329evelynh, 22 Août 2020

We had a very nice stay. We stayed in an ADA room with a roll in shower with a nice fold down shower chair. My husband is in wheelchair and the room and hotel was very accessible. Staff served breakfast during Covid times. The pool was open which is not always the case with covid.

"Wouldn't recommend"
Sightsee232904, 17 Août 2020

The staff accused us of making noise at 1130 at night. Called and woke my sleeping kids up twice to ask if we have kids and that they had many complaints about us. She asked if we have kids, I told the lady yes but our kids are sleeping that she must have got the wrong room. And then she called back the 2nd time and told us that she was going to be doing a walk by. I told her she could come in the room if she really wanted to see my kids asleep. It was Extremely unprofessional.

"Vacation"
conniep595, 09 Août 2020

They had a covered marked off place for motorcycle parking! The pool and hot tub worked and were relaxing. The only thing is that they do not have a elevator. I do not know the name of the man who worked mornings, but he was a very happy person and made us feel welcome.

"Summer stay in LaPine"
capepper, 07 Août 2020

If hotel is supposed to be sanitary for Covid-19, there wouldn't have been a filthy bathroom with the hair of previous guests all over the shower/tub. This hotel does NOT have an elevator for guests, so heavy luggage/ice chest had to be dragged up stairs. Thermostat was malfunctioning in room to where heat went on when A/C was chosen, then after turning off and restarting, A/C blasts non stop regardless of temperature setting. Unfortunately this is still the best choice for LaPine as other hotels/motels are not an option.

"La pine Best Western"
countryhippie911, 28 Juillet 2020

Check in was overworked people waiting, smoking outside pot and cigarettes, cant open windows or it comes into room, sink had old hair in drain with mold, mold in ceiling tiles or leaking stains from water? Homeless people hanging around in vehicles and picnic areas. Screaming loud people in middle of night in other rooms and right out side window. Price was ridiculous for accomidations. Could have stayed at Sunriver resort for half the price with more amenities.

"Exterior okay, but interior very nice."
marksX8073WV, 25 Juillet 2020

Lots of thought into theming the interior to the location. Very comfortable and spacious room. Front desk very helpful and very courteous while at the same time practicing and enforcing Covid19 hygiene recommendations and requirements.

"Clean and pretty place but they really disappointed us"
k F, 24 Juillet 2020

Our room was never cleaned. And I received no apology and let's see what happened. It was just too bad for us. Plus pretty spendy cost wise. The breakfast needs some help. Bisquits and gravy which was good except bisquits were hard on the bottom. Sausage was just steamed. Food got cold quickly. Coffee was a 10!

"One of the best Best Westerns I've ever stayed in"
Cindi L, 14 Juillet 2020

The staff was extremely friendly and the checkin was very fast as was the check out, very impressive and clean lobby area, super clean room, bed was amazingly comfortable. I wish all Best Westerns were this great!

"Decent place to stay"
Peter K, 13 Juillet 2020

We stayed here in room 226 on 6/22/20. The hotel is right of Rte 97. After you turn at the light on to Reed Rd. take the first driveway on your right just after the gas station and follow it to the hotel parking lot. The hotel has plenty of parking. There is a Subway Rest. 100 ft. from the hotel. The interior is very nicely decorated. The room is a suite (one bedroom separated from a large living room). The bedroom was large, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. There is a TV in the bedroom. The bathroom is large, the water pressure was great and the sink area is in the bathroom. The living room had a pull out couch, fridge (no freezer), chairs but no desk or writing area. There is a gas fireplace which you can see from the bedroom and living room. Breakfast was good, your typical BW breakfast modified for covid 19 (no eggs, waffles, pancakes). The wait staff(you tell them what you want and they dish it up and give it to you) wore masks and the tables were about 4 ft apart. The internet was fine for email and web surfing and check in and out went fine. Covid 19 precautions were minimal The front desk did not wear masks or have plexiglass in front of them, one of the check in spots had hand sanitizer, the other did not, most guests did not wear masks either checking in, moving about the hotel or at breakfast. The breakfast staff did wear masks. If you are worried about covid 19, I would suggest waiting until the pandemic is over before staying here.

"Very nice place to stop off the highway"
andyfox888, 09 Juillet 2020

Since it was cheaper than Bend I decided to push it a little further and I'm glad I did. Nice rooms 24 hour pool and nice hotel with plenty of parking near gas food etc. The king suite with fireplace was great!

"Pleasantly surprised "
bunk1976, 09 Juin 2020

This hotel was really nice and had lots of character. Room was comfortable and clean. Wasn't too impressed with the grab and go breakfast compared to the other grab and gos we've had, but still appreciated.

"Still Great"
Bob J, 29 Avril 2020

We have stayed here before and it is still a great place to stay. The hot breakfast went the way of the virus. Sad. Large clean rooms. Looking forward to staying here again. Hopefully the next stay I can enjoy their great buffet.

"Not Clean"
LaPinExcursion700700, 20 Avril 2020

With everything going on place was not clean. I also had ants in first room. Then plugged sink in 2nd room. Then Microwave not working in 3rd room, but I just gave up. They took nothing off the bill for all my trouble.

"Best kept secret in central Oregon."
scottfrickey57, 16 Avril 2020

Easy access to the high lakes of Central Oregon, hiking, biking, golfing, off reading, any type of out doors activity you can think of.Also some good restaurants within walking distance of this beautiful property.

"Great stay, friendly staff, comfortable beds"
ronandsue2015, 06 Avril 2020

After a long 9 hours on the road and the last hour in a snow storm, the Best Western was a welcome haven for us weary travellers. Check-in was easy and very friendly. Requested a quiet top floor room away from everyone and they delivered! Room at back of hotel, top floor and very quiet. Comfortable rooms with excellent beds. Bathroom was good, clean and functional....what more can you ask for! Breakfast was off reception with view of swimming pool/hot tub. Good variety, with cold and hot selections. We were fortunate to be at the beginning edge of the virus shutdown so it was business as usual as far as service was concerned. Great stay and highly recommend if passing through La PIne. Hotel is behind gas station at the 4 corners, a bit confusing especially after a long day on the road but we found it.

"Great location"
Alan P, 06 Avril 2020

While many things are shut down, due to the COVID-19 issue, the area has many things to see. We will return once things return to normal. The facility & staff were great. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

"Taking advantage."
bodega40, 26 Mars 2020

I have stayed here several times and always been pleased but they seem to be using the virus and the fact that they cannot serve a hot breakfast as a way to make more money. Instead of a room discount they give you a "Grab and Go Bag", a bottle water, an apple, an energy bar and a very small cheap muffin. All it did was disappoint me. I gave it back to them.

"Great Stay"
gtarpon, 14 Février 2020

Wonderful place to stay, very clean and super friendly staff. The room was comfortable and very quiet. Parking was great and felt very safe. We will stay here again if we travel this way. I would highly reccomend this hotel.

"A little bad w the good"
756cb2016, 04 Février 2020

The parking lot is shared w a gas station and McDonalds and seems to be a local hangout for some of the not so good characters in town I would say. The pool was not warm enuf for us to stay in there for long. The breakfast is good, but if you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, or have any sort of food allergies, you may want to look elsewhere to eat. The room is comfortable for the most part. The shower could use more water pressure. The hotel was nearly empty, yet they put guests in rooms RIGHT next to one another. I would've appreciated some space given all the empty areas in the hotel. It is a lovely property tho really.

"Nice Hotel Good Location "
forester353, 26 Janvier 2020

Have stayed here several times and always had a nice stay, this trip was no exception. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy access and decent hot breakfast in the morning. The only improvement would be to have a decent blanket on the bed, I like the room cold when sleeping and the thin little blanket required the room to stay warm, but I'm sure I'll stay again.

"Gorgeous lobby"
FrequentFlier437486, 20 Janvier 2020

We loved the swimming pool and hot tub! There was so many options for the breakfast! And nice rooms, I really loved my bed, it's updated and soft!! Lots of snow during our trips but they have sidewalks shoveled.

"Nice place to stay"
michaelje1960, 20 Janvier 2020

Clean room, comfortable beds, comfortable pillows, really good breakfast with several options, the staff is always friendly, warm cookies in the evening too, really no complaints on the rooms, we have stayed hear many times

"glad we stayed there"
Steven F, 05 Janvier 2020

our second stay at that location. beautiful clean hotel. i love the floors in the lobby.. nice breakfast. the rooms are a nice size. our first stay was in the larger suite room with a second tv and a fireplace. my wife didnt want to leave. very nice stay both times

"Newberry LaPine"
jeffreygB3328BZ, 30 Décembre 2019

Newberry Station BW is a gem and located within easy driving distance of a number of recreational activities. The property is well maintained and a great value compared to Bend. The motel is quiet and great amenities!

"Excellent property in central Oregon"
Jon N, 24 Décembre 2019

Very nice hotel in La Pine, the heart of central oregon. Well maintained, friendly staff, good breakfast, good indoor pool and hot tub. No elevator but second floor rooms easily accessed by wide staircase. Large parking lot, McDonalds and Subway a short walk.

"La Pine Tourists"
jmhenne2019, 15 Novembre 2019

There is a lovely lobby area with a gas fireplace and chairs for reading and conversation. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and assisted us with changing a reservation. We also enjoyed the hot tub.

"Our stay at the Newberry Station, La Pine, Oregon"
lrscrs, 02 Novembre 2019

I doubt if you can make our stay at the Newberry Station, La Pine, Oregon any better. I never make reservations, but they have always found a nice clean room for us on the bottom floor close to the office. There isn't ever a problem with the staff in paying for our room with Best Western Reward Points and they are happy to do it. This place will run circles around a Hilton I've ever stayed in for about half the price. The food was fresh. The dining room was spotless and the staff was there to assist you with any needs. The manager, front desk agent, housekeeping, dinning room attendant and even the maintenance man are always very cordial to us, every time we stay there.

"Gem of a stay"
GrandmaShe, 18 Octobre 2019

This BW was in excellent shape and very well maintained. Room was above average and breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The location was perfect in that it was far enough south of the Bend area to be very affordable and an excellent stopping off point for a trip from Washington to California.

"Refused resvervation"
Richard N, 16 Octobre 2019

I made reservations months ahead of for a dog show in Redmond Or. Checking in 6/27/2019 - Checking out 6/30/2019. When I made reservation said it accepted dogs. I called the front desk to let them know that I had 2 6 pound papillons. When I got their on the 27th I started filling out the Check in and told them I had 2 dogs, at that point they told me they no longer accepted dogs and would not give me a room. At that time of year is a very busy tourist season. I tried getting a room in the area and was not able to find anything. I called a resort and told them the situation and they made and dog exception due not able to find a place to stay. Due to this I backed off BW for awhile.

"second stay at this facility"
x4rds, 07 Octobre 2019

I knew this was a great spot so had no hesitation returning when i was in the area. i am a well experienced traveler and don't write reviews unless there's something special about a place. this fits the bill.

"Very good facility and (surprise) location!"
Phillip W, 01 Octobre 2019

Very pleased with the room, the hotel, and breakfast. We were at the end of a day at Crater Lake, and the Best Western seemed like a good choice. Then we started to realize we didn't know anything before about Newberry caldera and the amazing lava flows all around; we made it to Lavalands Visitors Center the afternoon we arrived and to the caldera the next day (separate reviews). La Pine wasn't on any Must-See list for Oregon, it turns out to be a great location.

"Great stay"
Darla W, 30 Septembre 2019

Very nice experience. Hotel has a beautiful lobby and nicely decorated rooms. Our room had a sofa to relax on and our bed was very comfortable. Quiet room, will definitely stay here again when in the area. Very friendly staff. Breakfast items well stocked.

"Wonderful "
Boonae, 29 Septembre 2019

We drove for hours coming back from California and we drove through a rare September snow storm cars were sliding off the road one rolled over so we thought we better stop at the first place. We walked in and the receptionist said they were booked ugggg we asked to use their bathroom when we came out the receptionist said we just had a cancelation. We got a room it was quiet and nice comfortable. Breakfast was great the staff here are accommodating. Thank you.

"Nice Room for an Overnight in La Pine"
edmI883LB, 27 Septembre 2019

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Newberry Station on our way from Portland to Crater Lake National Park. The hotel was easy to find on the main drag through La Pine. Our room was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The common areas (stairs and hallway carpeting need to be replace/updated. Oddly, the covered entry area was cordoned off with chains on either side i.e. we could not pull our SUV in it for unloading. Also, be ware that this motel does not have an elevator. By the way, we found a very good Mexican restaurant nearby - the Cinco De Mayo Restaurant.

"Excellent"
UnityGuy, 18 Septembre 2019

The hotel is located close to many attractions. Crater lake in particular for me.The lobby was beautifully decorated as was the rest of the facility. The pool and hot tub is open 24 hours which I took it vantage of for a late night swim. My room was spotless and felt like home. I would highly recommend this hotel!

"Great location"
Diane L, 17 Septembre 2019

We were headed to Newberry National Monument and stopped here for the night. Very nice hotel with indoor swimming pool. The lady who checked us in was very helpful. The lobby was very nice and liked the room as well.

"Fantastic"
Jeffrey T, 13 Septembre 2019

We had read the reviews and decided to stay in La Pine as we meandered our way around Oregon on a couple months long, leisurely, cross country road trip, Having stayed in many Best Western properties (60 -- 70 annually) we certainly were not expecting what we found in La Pine. Although listed as a "regular" Best Western, this could be a Best Western Plus property because it certainly is on a par with many that we have patronized!! The exterior and entry is impressive and the lobby is, as some others have described, lodge-like in appearance. The front desk staff (Ken) is customer service personified ! Really, he could not have been more cordial and accommodating. Our upgraded "room" was actually a multi-room suite, complete with fireplace and was fabulous. Breakfast was of both hot and cold offerings and was provided in an area with ample seating. WIFI was excellent. Pillows and towels fluffy. Cleanliness of grounds, room, hallways, stairs and common areas was outstanding. And the property personnel from Manager to staff could not be more customer service oriented. In short, this property presents excellent value and is well deserving of your visit whether it be the first one, or one of many.

"A gem"
estrellabee, 11 Septembre 2019

Wonderful friendly service from the moment we checked in to the time we left. Rooms were clean and filled with amenities. Had more than enough towels. We were on the first floor and noticed that there were many work trucks in the parking lot and many left the next morning. Slept throughout their departure. Did not hear any loud engine noises coming through the windows. What a treat that was!!!

"Nice place"
lizs121965, 05 Septembre 2019

We stopped At The Best Western Newberry Station for one night on our way to Crater Lake. Impressed by the lobby decor. The staff was very helpful, nice and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. We had breakfast was pretty good

"Lodge type interior greets you"
NjoyTravelingNj, 04 Septembre 2019

The Best Western Newberry Station in La Pine was a good place to stay before our full day at Crater Lake. when we first walked in, I was impressed by the lodge type feel of the decor. The front desk people were friendly and helpful, and the surrounding area was fine. The rooms were very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Breakfast was the standard BW fare, hot foods complimented by a decent amount of cold items. Nothing outstanding, but it all tasted good and there were a variety of items from which to choose. The pool was small, but the hot tub was a good size and had some very strong jets. All seemed to be very clean.

"Great stay!"
GK360, 04 Septembre 2019

We were here for one night on a road trip down the West Coast. Since we were visiting Crater Lake NP the next day, this was a very convenient stop. We booked a room here based both on the reviews and the price. So much cheaper than staying in Bend! What a great stay - Friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Comfortable and clean room, restful night of sleep, good breakfast in the morning. Great Job Best Western! We'd stay here again on our next trip down 97 and recommend to others as well.

"Pretty nice place"
hmc2612, 03 Septembre 2019

The lobby was nice, the staff were nice and the breakfast was pretty good for a motel. The room was clean but the bathtub was nasty. A layer of dirt/dust lined the top, the tub looked as if someone very dirty soaked in it and lots of hairs were left in it as well. The bed wasn't the best, worn on both sides with a slight hump in the middle.

"Old style hotel/motel."
Ron V, 02 Septembre 2019

Located close to city center next to highway. Access road next to gas station. Lots of free parking. Hotel entrance blocked for cars, somewhat strange. Old style lobby, good service. Moldy AC smell in room. Simple room with fridge, microwave, coffee machine. Standard full breakfast. Smallish room, one armchair and one chair + desk.

"Poor housekeeping "
657MarkP657, 17 Août 2019

This was our third best western hotel on a trip to northwest. After long travel day,y wife hopped in shower and found only 1 bath towel on shelf and two hung behind door still damp from past client! I went to front desk who apologized. Just poor housekeeping!

"Crater Lake"
KJB51862, 11 Août 2019

Older hotel but adequate. Not far from Crater Lake (hour drive) so price was reasonable considering location. It was clean, beds were comfortable, staff friendly, breakfast typical of Best Western breakfast, more than enough to get you up and going.

"Business trip 8/1/19"
darinallred, 03 Août 2019

Hotel is decent, but way overpriced at $180 per night for this property and location. No elevator for 2nd floor. Lady at check-in was a bit snarky and when I asked for a quiet room away from the highway, she had not clue which side of hotel was quieter. I had to explain this to her.

"Replaces Our RV"

After 27 years of full-time RVing, staying at Best Western Newberry Station, made us feel more than satisfied that we will always have a friendly, professional, staff to take care of us; and, we will always have a clean and comfortable room.

"VERY NICE"
Janis P, 09 Juillet 2019

Nice hotel..... Biggest rooms I've ever saw in a hotel..... Hotel was very well kept..... Very clean...... The pool and Jacuzzi were great also...... The breakfast was fine also, I would say it was great, but how great can a hotel breakfast be...

"Good Place to Stay in Volcano Land"
Culture68403598841, 09 Juillet 2019

Very nice hotel in quiet location. Rooms are spacious and nice. Hotel lobby and dining areas on par with the highest level hotel chains. Peace and quiet are noteworthy there.Easy to spot from Route 97 in either north or south direction.

"Great location close to Bend"
carol262013, 26 Juin 2019

Great location, as it's close to Bend, yet half the price of Bend area hotels. Plenty of parking close in, quiet, easy to get to. Gas station very close by. Rooms were clean. If you're on the 2nd floor, please note that they don't have an elevator. Nice stay.

"Clean - great for family road trip stop"
vlrain, 25 Juin 2019

We are on a road trip this summer through CA-OR-WA-ID-MT-WY. Every hotel I selected had to have a pool, free breakfast, and free wi-fi, hence Best Western Newberry Station in LaPine, OR. It's on the freeway from CA to Bend, OR. The hotel is clean and comfortable. After 8 hours on the road, the indoor pool was perfect for my 10yo and 9yo to get some exercise. The hotel is ~20 min south of Lava Butte and ~35min south of Bend, OR. LaPine seems to be a stopping point for multi-day bike trips/races - so lots of people out and about enjoying the peace and quiet of this part of the country.

"Amazing Night Staff!"
Debbie K, 24 Juin 2019

WOW!!! Marti is amazing and was so incredibly helpful in writing directions down for us to a local eatery and providing a map to our next day's adventures! She enthusiastically shared her experiences of that destination and one could tell she was genuinely excited we were going. She started our vacation off wonderfully! The front office manager was equally pleasurable to deal with and enthusiastic about working with his staff!

"Excellent place"
Lukewynn, 20 Juin 2019

We had our sons Birthday party there and this place was so amazing the let us have about 20 kids play. Their room was amazingly clean and comfortable. They made our sons special day even better the staff went out of their way to help. Thank you so much newberry station.

"A good place to stop"
MandS60plus, 13 Juin 2019

This hotel was a good place to stop on our journey. It was much less expensive than hotels in Bend ,nearly half the price. We were happy with our room which was large and spacious, as was the bathroom. The reception lady was very helpful and helped us to solve a problem. Very little road noise. We would be happy to stay again if we were in the area.

"This hotel is amazing!"
NorthStar48852797241, 08 Juin 2019

This best western is amazing for both the price, and the customer service. The employees are very helpful, the management is great, and the rooms are very clean and inviting. Definitely recommend staying here.

"La Pine is divine"

Great hotel with exceptional staff. We were treated like we were staying with family and truly enjoyed the hometown feel of the property. The lobby was beautiful and the mountain view breathless. So happy!

"Hit and Miss experiences"
Ron S, 20 Mai 2019

This place has a new section and an old section. Old part is small, outdated, ground in dirt in carpets, tiles in very small bathroom....just not a place to feel comfortable. New section is wonderful...modern, very large bathroom, comfortable and spacious. As always, when I reserved I asked for new section. When we arrived, the room was for newer part, but upstairs. For last several years, we always were downstairs. Didn't even think about that. My spouse and I both have mobility problems. THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR....HEY, DID EVERYONE SEE THIS? NO ELEVATOR! She finally found us a room downstairs, old section, which, believe it or not was more expensive, although it was a queen, not a king (as reserved). She agreed to give it to us for the lesser price. Bottom line: be VERY explicit when you make reservations here. Ask for newer section, AND bottom floor unless you want to walk up the steep stairs. Breakfast is average. NO ADA ENTRANCE (ONLY MANUAL DOOR)

"Best Western quality"
lbrodkorb153624, 19 Mai 2019

My SO and I dropped in on mothers day 2019, no reservation, but checked in all the same. Check in was quick and with in minutes I was headed to car to pull around to backside of motel. Room was clean, flat screen television, more on that coming. Two queen beds, a WC, one desk, a side desk. Entertainment center, with a hidden refrigerator, microwave oven and clothes drawers. Even though close to Hwy 97, rarely heard traffic, even though I did hear the lonesome wail from two BNSF trains, early in the predawn hours of morning. Now back to the flat screen television, hooked up my fire stick to HDMI socket and tried to access the HDMI input. No matter what I did, was unable to access the fire stick. Will we stay again, time will tell, but most likely will stay.

"Usual excellent Best Western experience"
Ian M, 02 Mai 2019

Stayed in La Pine Best Western May 1/19 en route to Summer Lake. Easy access off the highway. Lots of parking. Close to food outlets. Clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. WiFi good. Friendly staff. Breakfast ok but limited selection on offer. All in all good stay and can recommend.

"Convenient stop between Washington and Medford"
bluelakelady, 11 Avril 2019

Room was large, very clean, and well appointed, except the quality of the mattress could have been better. There was a comfy loveseat and ottoman that I enjoyed. The toilet was stained, which does not meet the standard I am used to for Best Western. A room away from the highway was quiet and pleasant. Staff were excellent!! Ken is an ambassador for the motel! Extremely nice and welcoming for both reservations and check-in. He even offered to lug my suitcase upstairs after I requested an upper floor room! So kind....

"Great Location & Staff"
wardallen4172, 08 Avril 2019

Great place to stay. They offer breakfast & always seem to have cookies available. Enjoyed the 24 hour Heated Pool. They are located next to several fast food chains and a convenience store. The ONLY down side is this hotel doesn't have an elevator. Call ahead & they will accommodate you any way they can.

"A True Diamond in the Middle of Nowhere"
travelersalem_Oregon, 27 Mars 2019

Very clean and new looking. Great lobby and eating area! Bedrooms normal size and very clean and complete. Beds were firmer but very comfortable! I have a lower back issue and sleep extremely well. The heating was not right on top of you but across the room so no draft, yeah! Breakfast was standard for this type of motel, a little bland. The best thing is the price. It is extremely well priced! Take an extra 25 minutes to stay here instead of Bend and go into town for what you need! It is significantly below their prices.

"Diamond in a Haystack"
Sabina B, 25 Mars 2019

Visiting folks in the Bend area, but not wanting to deal with traffic in the city, we discovered that little, sleepy La Pine - just 35 minutes South - had a great Best Western hotel. Simple, but very inviting, comfortable, local decor & history of the area. The indoor pool & hot tub were wonderful! The breakfast was good, although there weren't many options for vegetarians. The rest of the selections were good. Coffee was good and available 24 hrs. Great alternative to staying in the busyness of Bend! The King bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was spacious and clean. Internet was a tad slow, but better than most places we've stayed. Will definitely stay there again!!

"Clean and well-appointed"
MrsJenniferBrown, 25 Mars 2019

We enjoyed our quick 2-night stay at the BW Newberry Station. The hotel itself was clean with all the basic amenities you would expect at a Best Western. Our room was clean with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. The heating/air system functioned really well and kept our room at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast, albeit very basic, was plentiful and nice being complimentary. The indoor swimming pool was cold, even for the kiddos. The hot tub was green... not sure if that was the water or just the discoloration but we definitely didn't want to chance it. Otherwise, our stay was perfectly fine, the staff was very kind and, should we find ourselves in La Pine again, we would certainly stay here. Also, we didn't have a need for it but there is no elevator at this hotel.

"Filthy and rude"
scottkR96QY, 21 Mars 2019

Our room smells so bad we had to sleep with the windows open. This was not favorable considering it was 17 degrees out and next to the main road. The room stank of wet dog and pot from the people smoking outside our room. When I informed the hotel staff lady she rolled her eyes at me and said “ok” in a go away kind of tone.

"Two disappointing nights stay"
Rachael V, 16 Mars 2019

The first night we stayed we were given what the front desk clerk said was their “favorite room” which consisted of a heater that was grindingly loud, a shower that emitted a high pitch whistle when run and a lumpy awkward bed. When we checked out I requested a room on the second floor but not that same room for our return trip stay. This would have been an ok experience except for my partner getting stuck in the insanely gross men's bathroom next to the pool when the light timer went off. (There is a review from 2017 on this same site about the issue but apparently it never got fixed?) Our second stay they handed us a room key and upon entering the room, we found other people's belongings. I never fully comprehended why we had been allowed to enter someone else's room but it definitely didn't make us feel very secure the rest of the night... They gave us a new room (downgraded from our original) that was both above the pool and near the loud staircase. What a great way to enjoy the children screaming and running around when they got ejected from the pool at 10pm.

"Wonderful BW in a Beautiful Location"
EJV531, 24 Février 2019

We were traveling through and decided to try the BW in La Pine instead of going on to Bend. Great choice! This was a very nice facility in a picturesque location. Nice room, good WiFi, easy parking and nice full breakfast. Walked across the parking lot for dinner at Subway. Will stay here again whenever we are in the area.

"We always stay at Newberry Station"
610vicc, 08 Février 2019

Over the years we've traveled Highway 97 many times and always try to get to Newberry Station for the night. It's our favorite of all the Best Westerns. It's always quiet and comfortable. I've never heard any noise at all during the night. There are never any problems. I'd recommend Newberry Station to anybody looking for a good place to spend the night in LaPine.

"Wonderful hotel"
Phyllis T, 03 Février 2019

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past ten years and it has never disappointed us. Very clean and comfortable and better yet, the beds are comfortable. Very typical breakfast for a best western but there are plenty of options to fill me up. I don't think anyone would be disappointed if they chose to stay here

"Front desk staff non-existent. Terrible stay--walls SO thin."
mmmmjjjjjj, 01 Janvier 2019

This hotel is so cheaply built that you can hear everything that goes on on that floor. Dogs next door barking ALL NIGHT and NO ONE answered at the front desk. I called and called to get them to contact that room and no one answered. Family called corporate to get them to get through and even they couldn't get through on the phone. The service is NON-existent and checked out at 5pm due to no sleep and no service. Nice location and decent looking hotel, but lacking service.

"Nice room , friendly clerks!"
Rust-E-Junque, 23 Décembre 2018

N\\ice room . friendly , helpful staff , breakfast ready early - A typical Best Western no problem stay - Their signage could use some work though! Almost missed it , wife saw the sign an we had to turn around & find it -Entrance is McDonald's driveway!

"Great place and staff."
cocofox11, 20 Décembre 2018

My favorite place to stop over from California to Idaho. The property is in the trees. In the parking lot area you have Shell gas, McDonald's, Subway. There is a large signal light at the intersection on Hwy 97 so easy off and onto the highway going either North or South.

"High Quality, Great Value"
geryc2018, 11 Décembre 2018

The room, dining room, and lobby were very clean and comfortable. Having a 24 hour pool and hot tub was a big plus especially when closed to kids after 10:00 pm. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. Would definitely stay again. There are no elevators so reserve a bottom floor room if stairs are a problem.

"Comfortable stay"
Jennifer K, 06 Décembre 2018

Inviting Lobby, Friendly Staff , Clean & Comfortable rooms. We checked in a little early, were greeted by a very friendly & accommodating front desk staff member. The room was warm and clean. It had a lot of room and fit 3 adults and one teen comfortably. The beds weren't too soft or too hard. They had a firm, but giving mattress and soft pillows. We all slept well. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The shower was tall with a tub (which was great for my husband who is 6'). There was a separate vanity area that included a coffee pot and coffee. There was also a place to hang coats and a dresser for your clothes. Breakfast had a nice variety of different items including biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, assortment of muffins, bread, and pastries, yogurt, cereal and hard boiled eggs, with juice & milk.It was a very nice place to stay and we would stay there again!

"Great place to stay in Central Oregon"
Steve F, 28 Octobre 2018

Just south of druggie behavior in overcrowded and decaying Bend, lies the quiet little town of La Pine. This is a clean , reasonable place to stay and they provide a very nice full breakfast. I stayed here on both legs of my trip to California, and would stay here again!

"Just Right!"
Violette54, 20 Octobre 2018

After a long day of driving and many wonderful sights, we were happy to find this Best Western in La Pine. This was a nice hotel and popular with motorcyclist touring groups. The hotel has inside corridors with an elevator, which is helpful with a lot of luggage, and a large wide staircase. There is a pool, a hot tub, a business center, and a large breakfast area, which can double as a family room/lounge when breakfast is not being served. Good hot breakfast, and a gas fireplace in the Lobby. The people at the front desk were helpful. The location is 60-miles from Crater Lake and there is skiing at nearby Mt. Batchelor until early July some years. They are pet friendly with fees and restrictions.

"Very friendly and dog friendly"
Cliff B, 09 Octobre 2018

We have stayed here before, this time we had no reservation as we had no idea where we would be. Check-in with our pet was a breeze and we sailed right through. The pet area needs serious attention, wouldn't be necessary if people picked up the mess as we do. Not a hotel problem....a guest entitlement issue.

"Great base camp for Bend and Crater Lake"
James L, 30 Septembre 2018

We've stayed at this property several times this year alone as we've travelled for adventures in Washington, Oregon, and northern California. It's a nice place to stay with comfy beds and great pool / hot tub for relaxing after a day of hiking / cruising to various sites. Highly recommended!

"Best Western La Pine"
nibor3293, 17 Septembre 2018

Excellent hotel and will stay again! They cooperated with reserving our block, worked with any changes made before our stay, checked us in quickly, rooms were very nice both clean, organized, size and comfort.

"Nice comfortable stay at Best Western La Pine"
Michael A, 14 Septembre 2018

This hotel is one of the best values you will find in the Bend area. Despite it being 30 miles to to the south, it is worth the drive. There are some nice things to check out between La Pine and Bend at Newberry national Volcanic Monument). The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Not all rooms come with Microwaves or Refrigerators, so you need to be careful when booking. I believe there is an indoor pool but does NOT have a workout room.

"Nice place to bunk down for the night"
hortaegg, 09 Septembre 2018

We stayed here as we travelled north to Washington and a week later we stayed again on the way home. The second time we made sure to ask for a room on the first floor as they don't have an elevator. The people are nice and the rooms are comfortable. Note: the rooms on the wing that jut out toward the parking lot are the noisy ones.

"Horrible customer service!"
Ray C, 06 Septembre 2018

Made a reservation weeks ago to stay here on our way back from a day trip to crater lake back to Portland. Really, this is the only reliable place in the small town. Imagine our surprise when we got there and they “accidentally” canceled our reservation earlier in the day! No email, no notification, nothing until we tried to check in. Now the hotel was full and there is nothing else they can do. Wtf? Eventually they “comped” us in another really really really sh*tty motel down the street that stunk of diesel fuel and was dirty and tiny with only a full size bed. No real remorse, no real help from corporate over the phone, nothing. I'm very disappointed i Best Western for ruining what had up till then been a really nice day of sight seeing at Crater Lake. I'm pretty soured on Best Western over this experience. I won't book through them ever again.

"Apparently Sofa Bed means bring your own air mattress"
Escape191694, 04 Septembre 2018

We booked a King suite with a sofa bed, but when we arrived we discovered during their "remodel" MONTHS prior, they had removed the sofa beds. If it had not been for the fact that we were returning from camping and had air mattresses with us, my kids would have ended up on the floor. We immediately brought this to the front desk's attention and asked about a manager. We were told the manager would be in first thing in the morning. So we wrestled the air mattress from it's place in our packed car, put one kid on the couch and the other 2 (we have a toddler) on the air mattress. The next morning we went down to the front desk and asked for the manager, this employee told us he didn't come in on the weekend, so we were lied to. Fortunately, this employee was EXTREMELY sympathetic and discounted our stay. I HIGHLY recommend CALLING before booking.

"Great Hotel"
Dena W, 30 Août 2018

This was a great choice. We were traveling and figured we would drive until we were ready to stop. We got to La Pine and choose the Newberry. The room was awesome, the lobby was amazing. I loved the wood floors, and the blue truck in the lobby. The only thing that wasn't up to the BW par was the morning breakfast. It seemed to be just OK, maybe add some more items. It's possible it was the off season or it was a slow night so they didn't put much out.

"Great!"
bctabby, 27 Août 2018

It was very pretty inside the lobby. The staff was all very friendly. Our room was just ok but we didn't expect much more than that. The tub looked old, the carpet was stained, our window was unlocked when we checked in and took forever to lock because it was broken. The beds were very comfortable. Normally in a hotel we always notice how uncomfortable the beds are but these were great. The breakfast was good. The person running it was doing it by herself so things were always getting depleted but she was very friendly and helpful in getting you what you needed. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place in La Pine.

"Desperately in need of an upgrade"
char7ie96, 27 Août 2018

Let's me start with the girl at the front desk. She could've been friendlier and welcoming. The hotel itself could use an upgrade. Prior to coming to this place, we stayed at three different BWs and this one definitely looked like it has seen better days. Even though there are housecleaning issues, we tip anyway. We always tip. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

"Best in La Pine"
Paul S, 22 Août 2018

Nice stay in La Pine after visiting Crater Lake. Substantially less cost than staying in more popular and larger town of Bend. Room was in great shape, comparable size with most hotels, however no view to speak of and WiFi was poor. For some people, lack of an elevator may be a problem, but nice direct stairway to second floor from a nicely decorated lobby area. Complimentary breakfast but nothing to write home about.

"Wish it was better!"
TravelQueen251, 21 Août 2018

I knew this would be a rather average type Best Western but after reading so many good reviews, I decided to book. We were not happy with room at all. Needed a good deep cleaning. Older property but some housekeeping issues need to be addressed. I owned a hotel for many years. It is difficult to be on top of things 100% of the time, but basic housekeeping should always be completed. Food was okay and the staff was nice. I doubt I would ever stay again but maybe if I booked ahead and got a Suite, it might have been better.

"Average at best"
ElConquistador000, 17 Août 2018

We stayed here on the way to Crater Lake so it served our purpose but it's nothing special. Our bed was not comfortable but luckily it was only for one night. They don't have an elevator and we were put on the second floor. Not fun hauling luggage up the stairs.

"Buyer beware."
Ryan B, 16 Août 2018

This is a simple motel style Best Western. Upon arrival it shows be noted you canbot drive up under the large front portico (it is chaoned off) was told trucks have hit it in the past. (This worked out as theytheyet me park motorcycle under cover.). For anyone in a car you unload in parkingot and enter a want but out of dare lobby. No elevator or luggage carts on second floor . Hauled our gear (4 large bags) up stairs and across the hotel to the other side of building. Saw older people with coolers etc struggle with this. Room was clean it but dated. Breakfast was simple no fruit and didn't look that clean. Walked to McDonalds... Hotel is high priced in area as limited options. Best to stay in Prineville of passing through. Will save you 50 bucks and a back ache!

"This BW is our home away from home."
lrscrs, 12 Août 2018

From where we live it is 213 miles to this BW in La Pine, from the Pacific Ocean through the Umpqua national forest. There are so many happy satisfied customers from out town that stay there, we would like to have room 101 named the

"A dull location and poor breakfast, but a comfortable room"
Verulam, 12 Juillet 2018

The hotel is on dull strip development along the Interstate. You might miss the entrance from the I 97: coming from Bend, turn left at the only traffic lights in La Pine, and then immediately turn right behind McDonalds and the Shell garage. We stayed here for two nights with a King Suite, this was huge, with a big bedroom, and a separate large lounge. While the decor was dull, it was well fitted and comfortable, with quiet and efficient air conditioning. The suite was generally clean, although the lower rails on the wooden armchairs had not been dusted for a very long time. The main disappointment in our stay was breakfast, included in the price. Although there is plenty of space in the breakfast room, there were not enough tables the first morning. It was nearly all packaged food apart from sausage or bacon and scrambled egg, on paper plates, and not very appetising. It would be better if they charged a bit more, and provided more fresh food. The staff at breakfast were however friendly and helpful.

"Comfortable accomodations"
mysticangel001, 11 Juillet 2018

Spent one night at the Newberry Station BW in LaPine OR. The location was easy to get to, the decor in the lobby is great, breakfast was tasty, bed was VERY soft (I prefer a firm bed but I know most people like them soft). It was the perfect location for our trip to the Newberry Crater and lava caves. Very happy with our experience.

"We Highly Recommend"
Diana P, 25 Juin 2018

King size room was very clean and modern. The wifi was dependable. The hot breakfast was better than most. First morning had bacon and scrambled eggs plus biscuits and gravy and all the other normal items. The second day featured sausage patties and scrambled eggs. The woman that cooked and served the food was very friendly and helpful. Actually all the staff was friendly and helpul. For a small town, this is a very nice hotel.

"Great Stay"
rivid2, 25 Juin 2018

This was the perfect place for us to stay after visiting crater lake. It clean ,quiet with a good breakfast and friendly staff. It is a short drive from Fort Rock and hole in the ground. Newberry monument is just up the road. (I wish I had 2 nights to stay in the area I would of liked to see more of the sights.)

"Good value on way to Crater Lake"
harv2u, 22 Juin 2018

This Best Western is south of Bend and about one and a half hours from Crater Lake. The king room was clean and quiet. Note there is not an elevator. The WiFi is not the fastest but is acceptable. The staff were professional and helpful. There was warm cookies in the late afternoon at the front desk! There is an indoor pool but no exercise room. Worth staying here if you are going to Crater Lake.

"worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed in"
Cindy C, 21 Juin 2018

I paid almost $150 for one night of stay in this motel. The worst experience I have ever had, worse than $50 motel. The room is very dirty. Only after one night of stay, I got many bed bug bites. I would give a negative 5 score if I had the options.

"On our way to crater lake..."
Patpett, 21 Juin 2018

Very accompanying to give preference to 1st floor for recovering heart attack patient. The breakfast was very nice and the lady helping was terrific???? When traveling stop at LaPine best western you won't be disappointed ??

"Great value south of Bend"
Michael A, 09 Juin 2018

PRO: The hotel offers clean modern rooms at a very reasonable price. Lots of places to eat nearby with a grocery store across the street if you decide to utilize the microwave and refrigerator in the room. CON: no work out room.

"Good Base for Crater Lake and Newberry Volcanic Monument"
LandCruisers, 06 Juin 2018

The King Suite was just what we needed for spreading out and trip planning. We had a separate spacious bedroom and doors to the large bathroom from both the dining/kitchen area and from the bedroom. The living room featured two comfortable easy chairs and a comfortable couch with coffee table. No overhead light in the living room, but excellent lighting in the kitchen and dining area. Large dining table. Not a real kitchen, but a good bit of counter space, a deep sink, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. No plates or utensils. The hotel is in the middle of a rather grim parking lot with a Subway and gas station, at a highway crossroads. What we liked best: the space, the fireplace, and the bathtub. And the perfect base for exploring Crater Lake on one day trip, and Newberry Volcanic Monument in another day trip. Be sure to see the Lava Cave and Lava Cast Forest, as well as Paulina and East Lakes at Newberry Crater.

"Nice place"
T2175SSthomass, 06 Juin 2018

Clean and comfortable. Stayed in a King Suite which had a separate sitting room and a fireplace. Very nice. Breakfast was standard—sufficient and good. No elevator, so second floor means hauling luggage up the stairs.

"Positively mediocre"
G2147RVmarkp, 02 Juin 2018

The owner must have a lot of extended family writing reviews as I can't imagine how anyone could call this a 5-Star anything. From the old building to the non-functional appliances to the tiny pilllows, only stay if you must. Of course, as the best motel La Pine, I think that's kind of the point.

"LaPine Hotel"
Melissa S, 27 Mai 2018

The Best Western Newberry hotel has the friendliest, most helpful staff; great breakfast - eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and even hard boiled eggs; wifi that works great; room was nicely furnished and very quiet; bed was comfortable; really nice pool and hot tub. The hotel lobby has the nicest furnishings but the best part of the experience was the smiling and friendly staff. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop in again.

"Small pillows mediocre bed."
suse22222222222, 21 Mai 2018

The pillow are just tiny throw pillows with a big case on them. The bed was bad. But I was charged a pet fee and given a pet room. So I'm not sure if this was a bad room because we had our dog, my problem is we were charged extra because of our pet which is fine if we were in a good room with a good bed. I'm saying this because we have stayed there before and my review of that room was positive. Why am I paying extra for a pet and getting an inferior room? Inferior bed? And fake pillows?

"Comfortable"
mstjewing, 07 Mai 2018

Best lodging in La Pine, OR. Very welcoming staff and accommodations are clean and comfortable. Easy access on and off local Highway 97. Will be there for a return trip and was able to book same room with ease at check-out.

"A Great Night's Sleep"
Intlxpatr, 24 Avril 2018

I don't often write reviews of chain hotels unless they do something really awful or really right. This overnight the Best Western Newberry Station showed grace under pressure. Our welcome was warm and helpful. We were able to go straight to our rooms, settle in, and go to the pool - once the children's birthday party finished. There were no towels, and the person cleaning up from the children's parties seemed put-out to be asked. We had a good swim, and although we saw many many children in the hotel that night, the hotel quieted at ten and we had a great night's sleep. The next morning, the breakfast was hit all at the same time by their overnight guests, and the meat items and potatoes totally disappeared. The staff did their best to keep up with the chaos, and were able to resupply the scrambled eggs regularly. The hotel was full nearly to capacity, so I give them full credit to doing a great job coping, and full credit for managing to give us all a good night's sleep.

"Needs cleaning "
Ammo68, 20 Avril 2018

So stayed at this hotel a few times and like it Good service , friendly staff , great pool and hot tub Stayed in room 114 which was a suite . The furniture was really old and badly stained . To the point where I wanted to put a towel down prior. Gross Time to replace the chairs in that room

"Quick trip to the Lava Plains"
Scharlee P, 05 Avril 2018

We chose to stay in La Pine due to seeing Fort Rock and Crack-In-The-Ground and this was a great location. It's a comfortable stay, my girls enjoyed the hotel, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't super great but everything else was great.

"All the comforts of home"
43maureenf, 07 Mars 2018

Warm and relaxed feeling once you walk through the front doors. The lobby with a lodge atmosphere says welcome. The staff is accommodating and very helpful. Room are up to date and clean. Breakfast offers a wide selection of breakfast dishes from cold cereal to eggs, potatoes and choice of sausage or bacon. Hot coffee or tea is also provided along with juice or milk. I would highly recommend this location on your travels through La Pine.

"Always look forward to stopover here..."
charliewonkanobi, 04 Mars 2018

I drive from Seattle to Klamath Falls weekly for a project. Since I leave Seattle mid-afternoon, La Pine, Oregon makes a perfect stopover. Luckily, there's the Best Western Newberry Station with a very friendly and helpful staff, quiet, clean, comfortable rooms - some of which have fireplaces in them - and a delicious free breakfast in the morning. Someone who travels through the area often recommended it highly. I really am thankful they did, it's been great.

"Wonderful Staff and Service"
TIMBATOO, 24 Février 2018

This is our go to place for the area. Great room and facilities with pool and breakfast. The staff is all great, Thank you Ken for being so gracious and keeping such great folks working there. We'll be back

"Travel to San Diego"
jim b, 03 Février 2018

Wife really enjoyed the lobby decor and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and welcoming. Rooms were very nice and quiet for our stay. Staff recommended a place for dinner down the road two miles and it was a great recommendation.

"Excellent!"
spelkey56, 21 Janvier 2018

By far one of the Best Best Western's we've stayed at. Clean, cozy, up to date rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is usual but the breakfast lady was amazing. The beds were comfortable also.

"They get me back time and time again..."
Jim A, 01 Janvier 2018

This Best Western has very comfortable rooms, and a well thought out breakfast that is always ready on time. The breakfast items that are supposed to be hot are served hot and the items that are supposed to be cold are served cold. Would be nice is there were more dining options nearby and I (personally) would love to see the drive-thru lane for check-in opened for use. Rooms could use additional electrical outlets (near the TV, for the portable DVD player I always have with me when traveling). Housekeeping staff needs to check the batteries in and functioning of the TV remotes. The one that was in my room for this stay wasn't working very well.

"Exceeds expectations..."
philcX6079OL, 28 Décembre 2017

This hotel more than exceeds expectations for the local. in every way. Neat, clean, comfortable and quite with comfortable beds and friendly staff. Excellent ambiance for the area. Ample flat parking. The only drawback for some folks is the lack of an elevator for the second floor. What more could one ask for?

"Great alternative to the insane Bend/Redmond prices"
NorCalTripper, 27 Décembre 2017

Stayed here while we were in transit between Montana and California. We used a Hotels.com free night for a bigger room but pricing is still much better than Bend. Pro: -Location is along Highway 97 in the middle of La Pine, about 30 minutes south of Bend. No road noise issues at all. -Prices were cheaper than comparable locations in Bend and Redmond, sometimes by $100. -Room was clean. -Breakfast was standard Best Western fare. -King Bed was nice and quite comfortable. -Clientele was tourist but primarily Senior Citizens. -Parking was free. -Wifi was fine and AT&T signal is strong. -The staff was very pleasant. -Microwave and large mini-fridge in the bigger rooms. -Bathroom is a decent size. -Food is available at the mini-mart various local restaurants. -The indoor pool has been remodeled after snow collapsed the roof last year. -Air conditioning -La Pine is a small town in a forest location and mellow. About an hour from Crater Lake National Park Con: -No elevator. This is not a big deal for us and I like the stairs in the lobby aesthetically but if you are hauling a lot of stuff to the second floor, you have some work. -There are electrical outlets near the bed but longer cords are probably wise. -Small town means early closing for some restaurants. Adjust accordingly. This is our go-to place if we are southbound between Canada and California. Much more reasonable and mellow than the hustle and bustle of Bend.

"Highly recomment"
Snoozersgma, 25 Décembre 2017

I have traveled in my professional and personal life quite a bit...this motel rates 5 stars for friendly front desk, excellent opportunity to upgrade to a "fireplace suite" - which I might add was wonderful after a long 10 hour drive in the car - bed, pillows comfortable, fireplace going all night on a freezing night made it feel like I was safe in my own home, and the breakfast the next morning was great. We planned to leave at 6:30 so hit the dining room at 6 am and everything was ready to go...and the gentleman working in the dining room/front desk was so pleasant...Highly recommend if you are in LaPine.....and...if you get a chance there is an Italian Restaurant (can't remember the name) just down the road - fresh cooked meals, and they will deliver to the motel....try that out!!!

"Beautiful Hotel!"
drgnflysha, 25 Décembre 2017

The Best Western Newberry Station is a beautiful hotel! The rooms are very nice and super comfortable. The pool and spa area are impeccable and very inviting! My room was very clean, the heater worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The sitting area in my King room was very nice as well. I visited during the Christmas season and the lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful as well. Very nice place to stay!

"Great Stay"
davidhK2456PX, 22 Décembre 2017

Hotel staff are great, love the pool and over sized hot tub and you will not get a better breakfast anywhere. Newberry Station, in LaPine Oregon, is the perfect place to stay while exploring central Oregon. Close to Crater Lake National Park, Newberry Caldera, Lava Lands Visitor Center, the High Desert Museum and to much more to list.

"Wonderful Stay"
73agnesr, 18 Décembre 2017

Thank you Tara for the awesome hospitality last night by automatically upgrading me to a king suite. Wasn't needed at all, but much appreciated. Thank you Roger for the wonderful breakfast setup and two major big thumbs up that it's served at 6 AM. I so love it when hotels don't hold you hostage for the complimentary breakfast. I enjoy sleeping in but not when I'm road tripping and got a destination to get to. Room # 304 Things I enjoyed about my stay (mostly in order of them happening): 1) Right off the fwy (but zero fwy noise) 2) Holiday decorations throughout the lobby and breakfast dining area (gives ya the warm and fuzzy feelings even after an 8 hour drive) 3) Super clean and non-smelly room. 4) Comfy bed. Super soft pillows (but forgive me, still slept on my own). No lumpiness. No creaking. Just as perfect as a bed can get in a hotel when it's not my own Tempurpedic. Slept like a log. 5) Bathroom is huge with lots of counter space. Curved shower curtain rod - YES! - just can't deal with shower curtain touching me. 6) Full sized mirror in the hallway with an outlet next to it. Just love it. (I hate getting my hair done in the bathroom in hotels.) 7) Full sized fridge in the room plus small microwave. 8 ) Full blown breakfast spread: yoghurt, muffins, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, gravy, make your own pancakes, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, etc. 9) Only 1 hour 33 minutes from Crater Lake north entrance (but for me will be longer because only the South entrance is open in winter). Best Western Hotels & Resorts - 5 stars for your Newberry Station hotel and staff! For extra picky people I will write two things that they'd probably nitpick: 1) No fruit served at breakfast. They just have fruit cups. (I brought my own fruit so not at all distraught.) 2) The toilet doesn't have a lid. Requires a bit of juggling and maneuvering around. Cause I'm a klutz. I tend to drop things. I would say this would be my only constructive criticism for improvement.

"very comfortable rooms"
449jefferyb, 16 Décembre 2017

very nice rooms, lobby and breakfast room with tables large enough for four people. beds were very comfortable with soft and firm pillows. desk staff was very nice at check in and check out. nice large flat screen tv, micro, fridge and coffee in room. hot cocoa and coffee in breakfast room very nice since it was so cold.

"LaPine, Oregon Best Western motel"
virginiar312, 29 Novembre 2017

The beds are very comfortable, the breakfast area is very nice and it's very quiet. We have stayed here twice before and will stay again. It is the half way point between Boise, Idaho and Willow Creek, CA

"Good Place to Stay"
83colleeng, 28 Novembre 2017

It was nice, clean, and had a in door hot tub open 24 hours for adults. I would come here again, and would even recommend this to anyone! It was also right next door to subway which was nice. This hotel is a shock for the location!

"Sad"
654carlah, 12 Novembre 2017

The shower didn't appeared to have been cleaned for some time!! Took a picture but am unable to load it here. The bed extremely uncomfortable. The price was very high for the quality of the amenities.

"Single guy review "
Ammo68, 29 Octobre 2017

I very much liked this hotel This is a older best western and is not as new and fancy as the others may be but it's a good solid stay The indoor pool and hot tub are much better than most and open 24 hours . That's a big plus for me after driving a long time Breakfast was good , average Plenty of parking right in front This place does not have a elevator so be aware I will stay here again

"Adequate"
lauriebuchanan, 23 Octobre 2017

And while the rooms are large, modern, and clean... BOTH mornings of our stay the breakfast food was running short or completely out with the exasperated staff saying, "It's coming, it's coming." Also, it had just started snowing and multiple guests were vying for parking spaces close to the side door. Strangely, the hotel is taking up one of its own prime parking spots with a tarp-covered trailer that is heaped with full trash bags.

"Very nice"
lovequilternc, 22 Octobre 2017

Stayed here after traveling to Crater Lake. It was a very nice hotel in an area without a lot of amenities. Room was well appointed. It's about an hour from Crater Lake, so an easy stay. Great views of the three Sisters.

"Nice Place"
Harland K, 20 Octobre 2017

Going to and from Washington to California we have stayed there in the past at least twice a year for the last three years.. It is the nicest place in La Pine! and away from the hustle and bustle of staying in Redmond or Bend. Great breakfast! And Dog Friendly.

"Hidden gem"
bevinohio, 18 Octobre 2017

A pleasant surprise after a day in a snowstorm at Crater Lake. Clean, spacious rooms, nice gathering spots, kind, helpful staff. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is, and would highly recommend it. The only drawback was no elevator. If you were disabled, you would need to request a first floor room when you reserve. And they bake cookies!

"Very nice stay"
Michael P, 07 Octobre 2017

Was on a long motorcycle trip and this was a very accommodating place. Dedicated motorcycle parking by the front door! Clean and modern room. Breakfast was very good. Fog and cool temperatures in the morning delayed our exit but nice chairs by the fire and fresh coffee filled the bill.

"Wonderful place to stay"
719hansk, 06 Octobre 2017

This is a great place to stay. We have stayed here multiple times through the years and it has never let us down. The room are very clean and the whole hotel is very new and updated. The rooms are quite and breakfast is good and very roomy. There is a gas station with a McDonalds in it and a Subway in the same corner lot as the hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

"Great place and staff"
robertbT9937AJ, 06 Octobre 2017

What a nice motel this is! We have never stayed here before, but the friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and excellent breakfast made our overnight stay quite enjoyable. On our way through Oregon, we would not to book a room here again.

"Beyond perfect"
Rosemary K, 01 Octobre 2017

From the moment we steps through the front door until the moment we departed, this hotel was excellent in every way. The front desk was welcoming, the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, breakfast was comprehensive, and the location was perfect. This property sets the bar for every stay to come.

"Bw Newberry station"
Betty B, 25 Septembre 2017

Cozy quiet comfortable room great friendly staff great choices for breakfast hot and cold choice's price I think it's a little spendy but still doable considering you are getting breakfast we would definitely stay again

"Worth the $"
Vicky L, 22 Septembre 2017

This is a VERY clean property. I could find absolutely nothing wrong with our room but dust on the bath exhaust fan and that's being really picky. Room was quiet. Never heard anyone upstairs and the place was booked solid. Witnessed the front desk people kindly refer non reservation people to other options nearby. Nice touch! (Verses, sorry we're full and move on to another task). Towels were soft and fluffy (and not white but a tasteful light butter color). The ac/heat unit was very efficient (we needed heat). TV was HD. Fridge and microwave were easily accessible and both were used. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud which was welcomed since our previous night with a different chain was like sleeping on a sheet covered piece of plywood. Stay here again? Absolutely!!

"This would be a great selection you won't be sorry"
O230WZvanessas, 11 Septembre 2017

We just stayed at this hotel. It was clean, quiet even though it is pet friendly. The staff is wonderful. You get a full breakfast free and the wait staff is amazing. Really great ambiance as you walk through the front doors. Plenty of parking. You won't be disappointed.

"Good value for money"
avsm, 10 Septembre 2017

The La Pine is a great place for a night stop after exploring Bend/Wilamette national forest on your way to Crater Lake (or other way around). We did exactly that. Hotel itself is quite basic but we managed to book a suite at a great rate and had 2-room suite with living room and bedroom as well as gas fireplace (adding some charm). Only issue I had about the room is the state of furniture - most of it was quite worn and chairs in the living area were so dirty I was afraid to sit on them without putting towel first. Internet was reasonably fast and breakfast was reasonably good for a free one (although rather basic). There is no food in the evening so we had some takeaways, dined by the fireplace and left exploring Crater Lake next day. Very good experience.

"I like this place a lot."
Judith P, 07 Septembre 2017

I have stayed here at least 3-4 times because it's more or less the halfway point on a trip I make quite often. I've always like it. Quiet, nice people, a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

"Great stay."
M4644QWamandan, 01 Septembre 2017

This hotel was the highlight of customer service, cleanliness and comfort of our short family vacation. Have stayed at several Best Westerns and this facility did the brand very proud. Located perfectly for access to food, gas, and local amenities for La Pine. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

"Best Western Excellence"

I booked this hotel due to it's location to Crater Lake. Check in was fast and I was upgraded to a King Suite. Thanks!! The room had the basic amenities, fridge, microwave, as it was a suite had 2 flat screen TVs. The night was peaceful. Breakfast was the usual Best Western free breakfast faire

"Good Motel at a good location"
franklK439TP, 26 Août 2017

The motel is clean, has large rooms, the beds are good, despite being close to a busy road it is quiet, breakfast was a little busy with barely enough seating space trhoughout breakfast room and lobby, there are many good restaurants in walking distance - fast food as well if you like that.

"As Good as it gets...In La Pine"
Opera_lover054, 23 Août 2017

Although this facility is clean, comfortable and modern by La Pine standards, it's still your basic 2 star Best Western, with low end furnishings and bathroom fittings, and tiny windows facing a dramatic view of the gas station and Subway right in front. I suspect that Paulina Peak might have been visible, had the smoky air permitted. The climate control was horrible. When the A/C kicked in, it sounded like a 747 landing. We turned the A/C off to sleep, but it got pretty stuffy - you will not be opening the window with the traffic on Hwy 97. The public areas are attractive (much more so than the rooms) and the pool area is nice, although the hot tub water was murky. WiFi is fast and easy to connect to and the desk staff, on the afternoon of the eclipse, was unfailingly pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was attractively presented, but very limited. Altogether, the stay would have been worth about $135/night - the $185 we paid seemed rather high.

"La Pine, Oregon in the middle of nowhere"
karen s, 16 Août 2017

Hotel was great, clean, friendly and easy to find. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We were on a road trip and I might have booked in Bend if I knew how small the town is. Breakfast room was a deceit size and the breakfast was the standard continental breakfast, so it made it easy in the morning to eat and then hit the road. There is a Chinese Restaurant that the hotel backs up to and we had a great cheap meal there. No need to drive you can just walk over.

"Very modern and inviting"
Alton L, 14 Août 2017

We stayed in a pet friendly room. The room was clean and everything was first rate. We were on the ground floor, two rooms from the side entry, and a 30 foot walk to the dog walking area. Everything was very convenient. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had lots of hot water. The TV was large enough to see from the bed. Breakfast that day was scrambled eggs. They also had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a little stale, and that was the only thing I didn't like about our stay. The staff at the desk was very friendly and accommodating. We asked for a couple of extra sheets so we could cover the bed and chair to protect them from the dog hair (our little guy sheds a LOT). The gal at the desk went right over, picked them up from the adjoining office, and handed them to me with a smile. We would stay here again.

"Great place to stay close to National Parks & sites"
B8225QMjamesl, 11 Août 2017

A clean and friendly Best Western - probably the nicest we've stayed at as we drove across country. We used La Pine as a base to visit excellent lava sites near by. The whole experience was very good indeed and we'd go back!

"Excellent motel"
L1074GSamyb, 09 Août 2017

The Best Western Newberry Station in La Pine is excellent. Good rooms, excellent pillows, clean rooms, beautiful lobby and great little pool. The staff were very helpful and everyone was nice. We've stayed there a few times and have never been disappointed.

"Review of hotel"
sallyc775, 29 Juillet 2017

The hotel is clean. The beds were great. The employees seemed to know their jobs and were very professional. I we had a problem, one call and it was fixed. I would recommend the king size rooms over the single rooms.

"Get a light in the flipping toilet"

light in lobby toilet is on a timer, had to wipe my butt in total darkness, its been 3 days and I'm still pissed. no fire exit from pool bad bad bad mojo. stupid thing is making me use more letters so i'm just typing junk to make it happy isn't this stupid, I sad what I needed to say but NOOO thats not good enough

"Great motel"
cah142017, 26 Juillet 2017

This motel only had a 2 star rating, so I didn't expect much. I was surprised how nice it was and I would give it at least 3 or 3.5 stars. The rooms are very comfortable, the lobby is beautiful with an Old West feel. The motel offers a very nice breakfast. it is a good value, and only a short distance from Bend, OR where comparable motels were more expensive.

"Great suggestion for a restaurant after a long outing."
Gerald W, 19 Juillet 2017

There are not many places that can compare with the place that they suggest for me to go to after seeing the lakes of the Cascades. the Mohawk Restaurant on my way back was a great suggestion. It was a place you could enjoy dinner and take your time. It was a family owned place the all of the flavors of the area we had just seen. Thanks for the Suggestion!!!

"No sleep for 2 nights"
middypuss, 17 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for two nights. Allocated room 309 on ground floor. This hotel does not have an elevator. What we didn't realise initially is that the stairs to the first floor run along and above this room. Later everytime someone went up or downstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants were jumping on the ceiling. On the first night this noise abated around 10 pm so as my wife didn't fancy the upheaval of changing rooms we decided to stay put which was a big mistake. On the second night the noises above were even worse and then the air conditioning unit started emitting loud noises. I went to ask to be moved but was told hotel fully booked up so had to stay put. So no ac used and the loud thumping noises from overhead ceases about 12 pm but resumed at 6 am. To add to this the wifi was unusable as it took 30 seconds to load a single web page (if it would load at all) Breakfast was good on the second day although very busy and had to wait for a table. However breakfast on the first day was not a good experience. On arriving at 8 30 am (it finishes at 9 a.m) there was no bread, muffins, bagels or anything like that left. When i asked for some, insted of replenishing these items i had to tell the exact numbers of each i wanted and these were got out of a bag. Said items remained unavailable to further guests. The problem with the noises from the stairs must be an ongoing one because when i mentioned it on check out i was immediately given a $60 discount without even asking. Credit for this but i would have preferred 2 nights sleep.

"came to Lapine to look at property"
Becky P, 17 Juillet 2017

All staff was great and friendly . Breakfast was awesome .rooms were kept clean and towels replaced when needed but only when needed . Saved us money in the log run by having a good breakfast . will book again when we come back in the spring and will refer family to your Hotel

"Over night on a family Road Trip"
Cactuscajun, 15 Juillet 2017

My family spent the night here after a day at Crater Lake National Park. The double queen room was clean and comfortable. The lobby is quite nicely decorated. Breakfast was pretty typical for BW properties. There is no elevator so you do have to haul your luggage up to the second floor. While I realize June is peak tourist season in the area, I thought it was a little expensive for what it was, however, I certainly would consider returning when I return to the area.

"A hidden gem!"
macgeorge2, 08 Juillet 2017

We entered LaPine to see two older hotels sporting "NO VACANCY" signs. The Best Western happened out of no where. It was a delightful two story hotel with a vacancy!! We were able to get the King Suite for the night. Clean room. Spacious living area. Be warned that there is not an elevator for those with a lot of luggage. Staff was helpful and offered a sense of humor when we pulled out rolls of change to pay for the room. (We had been saving to attend a wedding--and forgot to take them to the bank!) USB charging was non existent so should you opt to stay bring extra chargers. It was a great place.

"Love Best Western"
A6227GArickc, 06 Juillet 2017

I would come back to La Pine just to stay at the Best Western. Everything was clean, fresh and relaxing. Convenient to everything. The staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was hot with choices and flavorful. If you are heading to La Pine book here.

"Rooms are very comfortable!"
Kelly2001_12, 03 Juillet 2017

After being on the road for a week, staying in a number of hotels, this hotel was a welcome relief! The hotel lobby is nice and the room was so comfortable! The staff was friendly and the full, hot breakfast was great! This hotel was a short drive to our next stop, Crater Lake. Rate was a bit high, but I guess there was a car show in town ;-).

"Pass on by"
Iladydi, 02 Juillet 2017

I would say the lobby is the nicest part of this motel. The staff was really nice and helpful too but the room had a very stale smell (old smoke?). The bathroom is minimal. It does have a separate area with a microwave and fridge but don't expect an area to put anything more than a toothbrush by the sink. The towels were a mix of tan and white and the bed linens were dingy. The size of the room is large enough and even has a small sofa. There is very little light...one on the desk and a very dim light on the wall by each side of the bed...none by the sofa if you want to sit and read. I would recommend passing through LaPine and going on to Bend where there are also better restaurants to choose from.

"Nice surprise!"
JJ3115, 02 Juillet 2017

Unable to check into Sunriver until the next day, we stayed in Best Western Newberry Station, in La Pine, Oregon. It is a short distance to Sunriver and even shorter distance to Quail Run golf course. We walked to dinner at a nice family run Mexican restaurant, Tres Caballos. In my opinion this hotel should be a Best Western Plus!

"Good hotel in small town"
H423QPgeorgeb, 01 Juillet 2017

We were with a group of friends and we used this hotel as our meet and stay place in La Pine. It was larger than I expected for such a small town. We had reservations for the Cowboy Dinner Tree on Saturday. The dinner place is 50 miles from La Pine so driving back to Portland afterwards was not an option for any of us. The hotel is in need of updating but had everything you would need. The air conditioning worked really well. Bed was ok. There are no elevators so ask for a ground floor if stairs are a problem. Gas station and mini mart close by. No restaurant on site.

Excellent Motel, clean, full hot breakfast (made in full view), and we stay when in the area. The staff on the registration (morning & night) & ,breakfast person were all pleasant and very helpful. Lots of parking both for trucks and passenger cars.

"Working or traveling"
Lawrence W, 23 Juin 2017

I have stayed at this location several times over the last few years. Mainly for work. The location is excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is about a 8 on scale of 1 to 10. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is an unexpected surprise. You would not expect to find this nice's of hotels in the middle of now where. I grounds where clean. Decor every nice, staff very friendly and the comfort of the room and cleanness where really amazing. Pool area was very clean and well kept. I will be staying here again.

"First Time at BW hotel in La Pine, Oregon"
rodneyl883, 20 Juin 2017

Great place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool temp was too cold and the Spa temp was too hot.Keep an eye on your stuff in your room. I brought a white towel from home to use while at the pool. I hung it to dry in the bathroom. But when we got back from looking around at houses in the area, my towel was gone, so I reported it immediately to the Front Desk staff. Lara, one of the employees, was able to locate it and she was nice enough to bring it to my room.

"I'd stay here again if I'm passing thru"
L6649SUericf, 19 Juin 2017

Clean, quiet, large 2 queen bed room. Good lighting. Pillows too thick and firm for sleeping on my side. Inadequate bathroom counter space, low shower water flow, and a terrible shower head the main problems.

"It's La Pine...."
Meri D, 18 Juin 2017

We stopped here on our way to California. The hotel was clean from the outside so we thought we would take a chance. The room appeared clean and we were doing good until my son spotted a large red stain about 4 inches by 4 inches on the carpet in the kitchen area. It appeared to be blood. There was also a large red splatter on the wall. My son was completely disgusted. We had a handicap accessible room and the shower had a seat that flipped up and down for shower assist. When not being used, the seat automatically flips up. The underside of the seat was horrific!! It really needs a bucket of bleach, a scrub brush and a ton of elbow grease! It was so gross, no one would take shower. Very frustrating! The ice machine was broken and the exit door at the end of the hall that is supposed to be locked wouldn't shut on its own. Everytime we went out, it was wide open. On the upside, the pool area was very clean. The breakfast offered was fantastic with very friendly staff there to keep things moving. Honestly, we won't stay here again. The price is NOT worth it!

"Comfortable "
Casey M, 14 Juin 2017

I stayed several nights at the Best Western Newberry Station. The room was clean and nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. Very nice breakfast too. If I'm in the area again. I will be sure to stay here.

"Great Place"
vernonw819, 12 Juin 2017

This is one of the best BW we've ever stayed in. Beautiful lobby that welcomed us. Friendly/helpful desk person. Great room and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend a stay here even if it means going out of your way. (:

"We still go back"
Dand'e E, 09 Juin 2017

I think they are good. We go back once a year. This year we were disappointed the room was too hot to sleep or hang out in when it was evening time. Probably won't stop us from going back. The staff was great and the older man who chatted with the earlier risers getting coffee was a great addition to the hotel.

"Quick visit to LaPine"
Mark S, 07 Juin 2017

When we plan a trip to LaPine, this is our first choice if we are not camping. Have stayed here several times before. Very nice, clean and comfortable rooms that are far enough from Hwy 97 to be quiet, and have access to fuel before you get back on the main road.

"Small town....very nice!"
KSGN, 01 Juin 2017

We had a very nice overnight stay at this Best Western. Our room was clean and orderly. A good breakfast was enjoyed in the morning. Not 5 stars because there were no pool towels available and the carpet up the stairs and in the halls could use a deep cleaning.

"Comfortable...One night stay"
Crystal R, 29 Mai 2017

The only drawback to this property is the lack of an elevator. It might work for a couple but we had to babies (3mos and 3yrs) which made it quite challenging. The staff was helpful and the property is clean and very easy to find.

"Sleep"
781cac, 22 Mai 2017

Was a very bad night will not stay in that room again hope you do something with it the stairs are the big problem and they didn't even say sorry at desk when told them about it so that was it. Stayed at one in Redmond next night was great slept every good

"Great hotel!!"
PrinevilleHotel, 19 Mai 2017

I highly recommend staying at this hotel, it is recently updated and the people are great! The breakfast and pool were wonderful! The décor through the hotel is amazing, job well done! We love bringing our family here, it is close to many Central Oregon attractions.

"Quick Get-A-Way"
FloraCoalfax, 18 Mai 2017

Need to get some sunshine , peace and quiet ....you have arrived. This is a well appointed hotel with clean spacious rooms. We had a room on the East wing 300-400 , it was updated and very quiet. the staff was friendly and checked us in quickly. The hotel is within walking distance of a great Mexican Restaurant and has everything within walking distance, market, Subway, Mc Donald's so on and so forth. The common areas of the hotel are tasteful and clean. We haven't had the breakfast , but judging by the setup it looks like it will be fine.

"Good motel"
Bernie G, 17 Mai 2017

Typical Best Western motel. Room was in good shape, morning breakfast has eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and all the other usual stuff. Good wifi. Ask for a room in the 300 series, they are newer.

"Pleasant stay"
Mac D, 10 Mai 2017

We stayed one night (2 rooms) as part of a longer trip. Entrance is a little puzzling as you have to turn onto a side road - not marked. A GPS helps. Easy access to areas to explore . Nicest hotel in town.

"Great price for very clean comfortable room. "
mathmomnj, 08 Mai 2017

We paid $84 for a very large room with 3 comfortable chairs for reading, etc. Small fridge and microwave included along with buffet comfortable tasty breakfast including Biscuits and Gravy. Great stop on road trip with very helpful staff and beautiful common spaces.

"A good location"
Chris610_11, 07 Mai 2017

This hitel was a great location, with easy access to local points of interest, such as Lava Lands Nation Monument, and an easy One-hour drive to the Silver Lake Cowboy Dinner Tree, a fun and hardy ciwboy dining experience. The scenery around LaPine is terrific, with lots of pine trees, sage and juniper. And of course the lava beds. The hotel is a central location giving eady access to scenic drives in any direction.

"A Pleasant Stay"
Lori H, 03 Mai 2017

This hotel was located right on the 97 while traveling thru La Pine. Making for the easy access after a long day of driving and to continue on the next morning. A gas station in the same parking lot to fill up. The place definitely had a warm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, when arriving in the room, we noticed the Dr Pepper bottle that was left behind. Not a deal breaker of this nice place. The room was very clean, comfy and quiet. Before leaving they offer a free full breakfast to die for. They had everything a hungry tummy desires. Everything from biscuits and gravy, waffles or for that light eater some cereal or fruit.....yum! Too much too list though worth no missing. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel!

"decent enough hotel"
cupidsgirl, 30 Avril 2017

Staff was friendly, and helpful. We were in town for a family event, this was the hotel recommended, it was nice enough, decent breakfast, Upon check in we discovered ourselves the pool was not usable, big disappointment for grandson with us, and another grandson to visit us friday evening for a couple hours, reception staff did not even let us know the pool was not working. Given an upstairs room, then we discover there is NO elevator. Guess it was our mistake we did not ask for a downstairs room, husband has some health issues. Did find a spider in the bed whichour grandson slept in. Should have been something on the website indicating pool was not usable, we would have prepared differently.

"Great hotel"
523williamv, 28 Avril 2017

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, great location. Perfect midway stop between the Bay Area, CA and Spokane area, WA. Within walking distance of Subway, McDonald's, and Taco Bell.

"Honeymoon Trip"

Excellent room! Great breakfast buffet! Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Stayed while visiting family. Location was easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to relax and sleep without interruption.

"Nice place to stay while traveling"
Philip E, 19 Avril 2017

If you're passing through central Oregon on Hwy 97 and need a place to stay, this BW would be a good choice. It's well located in central La Pine with several restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.

"Best Western La Pine Oregon"
charlessC7926TI, 19 Avril 2017

While staff was very accommodating the rooms smelled and the bed was very uncomfortable. Had a reservation for another night the following week and cancelled it as a result. We would not stay there again.

"Newberry Station Report"
jacksY376FH, 15 Avril 2017

Very nice stay - the pool and hot tub were not available which was a disappointment since we were not told ahead of time. Otherwise the room was very nice, and breakfast was good. I would recommend this motel.

"Great place to stay"
tinaaY1412AM, 03 Avril 2017

This facility was very clean inside and out, the rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a wide variety for all tastes and was really good. The attendant for breakfast was very friendly and helpful, especially since we were traveling with little ones. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

"Nice place to stop"
crazycatlady235, 29 Mars 2017

This hotel is a nice place to stop while passing through. There are two grocery stores nearby. The rooms are clean, and the staff is kind. They have free bfast, and wifi. I found the beds super comfy and not rock hard.

"Reliable"
mikedrod, 26 Mars 2017

This was my second stay as I enjoyed the first. I'll stay here again and again on my way to or from all point south. Easy to find, plenty of easy parking and a few nearby conveniences. Th rooms are comfortable and I like that I could open the window.

"We like Newberry Station"
Kenneth K, 15 Mars 2017

No complaints at all. Had a fun night with children in pool and hot tub. friendly service. great accommodations. loved breakfast. clean rooms. near stores for needs while staying. fast food if you like, subway, toco bell, and McDonalds. Have fun. we did.

" Great room"
cpmontana, 07 Mars 2017

This is a good place to stay in the winter months. When it starts to warm up prices head that way as well. So I stay here in the off season and it's a good value this time of year. The room was very nice and comfortable with all the amenities.

"Ok, would stay again, but less than expected. "
H W, 21 Novembre 2016

I liked the size of the room, and the first night was good. But the next morning, there were ants in my room! I did my best to deal with it because my schedule was so busy, so I stayed in the same room. The room door did not shut completely unless you pull/push it to. Not a big deal, but it is a safety issue so be sure your door shuts completely. The bed was comfortable. The thermostat was a bit difficult to get comfortable, but there is a nice widow to let in fresh air. For work, I appreciated the multiple outlets on the desk. There was a nice small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Since I work in the room, I like having my computer charged and a beverage handy. The breakfast is nice and hot. They offered waffles, breakfast meats (bacon one morning & sausage the next), juices, yogurt, fruit cups, muffins, etc. The front desk staff was kind and professional. They helped me when the vending machine wasn't cooperating. Overall I think this is a nice place. It is certainly MUCH better than another hotel in La Pine. But, for a total of $100+ per night, a closing door, comfortable AC/heat, and insect free would be better. Hopefully my next stay is better (yes, I would stay here again). The photos show the ants in the bathroom and microwave area. I had to wash down the shower and send them down the drain as well.

"Clean, comfortable, quiet"
James A, 31 Octobre 2016

Excellent hotel. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very professional, pointed out amenities and breakfast hours. Didn't have any other need for staff assistance during my stay. Breakfast was presented nicely, but selection was somewhat limited.

"Road Trip Stop"
gogirlgo15, 26 Octobre 2016

Best Western Newberry Station was clean and comfortable. The desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and beyond comfortable beds. Our room was in the newer portion of the motel and there is a restaurant in the parking lot and a McDonalds on the way in as well as a gas station. We selected this motel as a stop before heading to Crater Lake and because we wanted to have dinner about 45 mile away at the Cowboy Dinner Tree in Silver Lake. The pool area and the hot tub were clean and the breakfast in the morning was a step above the usual complimentary breakfast with protein and hot items available. If I find myself in La Pine again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Very clean and Charming"
Lin O, 18 Octobre 2016

This was an overnight stay while traveling a long distance, but we have stayed here before and knew it was quiet, clean and comfy! It's very inviting and charming! Best Western always have warm, yummy cookies waiting for you when ou arrive!

"Clean, spacious good breakfast"
RRL42, 13 Octobre 2016

We wanted a place to stay fairly close to Crater Lake that was approximately 6 hours driving time from the Portland area. Prior experience at Best Western has been good. Rooms are spacious, the free wi-fi works well and the cleanliness has been consistently good. Most offer a very nice breakfast, so we like that we do not have to find a place near where we are staying. Since the breakfast is included in the room charge we factor that into the price when comparing to other chains.

"Quiet, updated, clean!"
PDXGandhi, 12 Octobre 2016

The rooms in this best western have been recently updated. Everything is clean and comfortable. I think the best part was that the hotel wasn't near any busy highway or railway, so no noise! All the amenities were great and the staff was friendly.

"on the road again"
Klaus S, 10 Octobre 2016

this hotels located next to a very busy highway and hence rather noisy. the hotel's amenities are rather dated. the breakfast is a bit meager and the breakfast area is very crowded. if one is looking for a hotel in this area we saw a bw in the town of sisters where we would have much rather stayed. so next time, we shall go there.

"Great place great staff"
fiddleduck, 08 Octobre 2016

We had traveled from Crater Lake and hit a great deal of road construction. We were trying to make Bend but when we saw the sign for this hotel we immediately pulled over. We were checked in but a very friendly helpful woman who helped cheer us up. We got a great room that was quiet, specious, and comfortable. So much that the whole family commented on the good night's sleep and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast person was proud of what she served. She was also cheerful and helpful. Are check out person was great to so we started out new day ready to go. This is a great place to stay if you are in the area

"Close to Crater Lake and Cascade Lakes Highway"
22kdka, 02 Octobre 2016

Best Western Newberry Station was the perfect place to stay while we visited Crater Lake National Park (TIP: drive the loop CLOCK wise) and the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. We would go to the Subway next to the hotel and get our sandwiches for the day. The breakfast was great and Debbie was a wonderful hostess. Nice selection of eggs, yogurt, breads, etc. DO go get donuts or applie fritters at the Wickiup Junction just north of La Pine. We walked to the Lucky Fortune restaurtant - food so good we ate there three nights in row.

"Always Stay"
George B, 26 Septembre 2016

We always stay at the Newberry Station when we travel this direction. We travel by motorcycle and they are very accommodating allowing us to park under their canopy. It is always very clean. Breakfast is always good. Will continue to stay there in the future.

"great room. friendly staff"
terrymtess, 25 Septembre 2016

When ever my business travel takes me thru La Pine i always call Newberry station, They are very friendly and accomadating. Great rooms for the price and have a good morning breakfast This hotel is a must stop

"OK BUT....."
03Val48, 22 Septembre 2016

This hotel is OK for a one night stop over, but don't expect it to be quite as nice as other Best Western properties. There is no elevator, and while the lobby looks nice, it is quite small. The rooms are a good size but the furnishings are very austere so you don't have a relaxed, cozy feeling. And there is no vanity in the bathroom, only a pedestal sink, which is inconvenient. And while BW usually has a nice breakfast, not so here. The only fruit was three apples in a cooler, and the rest of the food was very mediocre, as if they were cutting corners. For the price, I'd recommend looking around Bend, which is very close, because this property is not a bargain.

"Very nice place to stay in La Pine"
ElliottMorris, 21 Septembre 2016

I found this hotel to be very clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, and the free breakfast was good. I was here as part of a motorcycle group get together, and this was a great choice to stay. Highly recommended.

""I would stay here again""
Rena M, 12 Septembre 2016

Very enjoyable stay, clean, friendly the staff was so pleasant to work with. My room was very very clean the bed was comfortable the breakfast area was kept clean and the variety of breakfast was nice, except I did not see any fresh fruit. Whenever I come to town this will be my place to stay.

"Nice hotel"
debbywatts, 06 Septembre 2016

The hotel was nice and the rooms were like other BW. The plus in this one is the indoor pool is open 24 hours so it was very nice to be able to take a swim even if you get in late. Our toilet had some issues and they were nice enough to give us a discount when we checked out.

"Great hotel to stop at on the way to Crater Lake"
TamaraC2011, 06 Septembre 2016

Very late check in at this hotel on our drive from Everett, WA towards Crater Lake. The hotel is older, but is fashioned with many quality furnishings and interesting, period appropriate decorations. At check-in, both women at the front desk were very welcoming and gave us all pertinent information about finding out room, pool hours, breakfast hours, check out time. Please note that we were in room #400's and there are only 2 stories to this hotel. The #400's rooms are on the 2nd floor, but in a separate wing (we were told our room was on the 2nd floor). It only took a moment or two to figure that we just had to keep walking down the #200's rooms corridor to find the #400 rooms. Our room was updated and clean and spacious. Plenty of room for 4 people. AC worked great and water pressure/temperature in the bath/shower was very good. Breakfast in the morning was a complete breakfast with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, various juices, toast, biscuits, bread, muffins, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages (2 kinds), biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, etc. We were all easily able to find something to satisfy each person (including 1 with dietary restrictions). Breakfast room is right downstairs near check in and room is large with many tables (plenty of space). Again, the decorations were very nice and worked in well with the period theming. We did not have a chance to use/see the pool. Check out was just as easy as check in process. Would stay here again and recommend it to others.

"Wonderful mid way spot to Reno"
529brigidt, 01 Septembre 2016

Went to Reno for Daughter and Son in laws Anniversary, went a different route this time, glad we did. Newberry Station , La Pine is an excellent stop off. The lobby and hallway was too hot but other than that the stay was good

"Breakfast problem at Best Westerns"
cleeby, 28 Août 2016

The change of breakfast only until 9 am (as opposed to 10--which used to be standard at most BW's) is a real negative. People don't like it. They feel rushed and not cared for as customers. It might be nice for Best Western--get 'em up and get 'em out; save $ because less people are eating breakfast. But in the long run it will hurt your business. My family was on vacation; we wanted to sleep in --not set an alarm to get up before breakfast is over; and even getting down at about 8:40 (as we did) the food was mostly gone and the worker was already shutting things down. Unimpressive. I am a Diamond member and have been for years; I am looking at alternatives to Best Western for future family vacations.

"Good Place"
John P, 15 Août 2016

Every thing was great except breakfast. One person was doing it all. She was behind in food preparation and replacement as well as clean-up. The previous Best Western had one chef and two hostess. The room was a nice size, quiet and comfortable. Nice location for many outdoor activities.

"Great staff and people, I was expecting a little more, especially for money spent"
ExpeditionMan, 15 Août 2016

We were in La Pine to visit family, and apparently were in town for a busy weekend as we got one of the few remaining rooms. We had a suite booked, but for some reason it wasn't available and we were put in a room with two beds instead. Actually fine with me as the suite rate was more than I really wanted to pay. The property is nice and clean, and the front desk was nice, and the breakfast team was enthusiastic, you could tell lots of regulars come here as many knew the main breakfast woman. She really enjoys her work! From the reviews, I was expecting a little oasis, our experience was closer to the average side. Nothing wrong with it, just for the money spent I was wanting a little more. The 4 of us all thought the beds were a bit too soft and our mattress was collapsing a little, maybe this wasn't one of the remodeled rooms yet? We were also there with a group of motorcycles parked in the back that were up early and revving engines by 7am, talking on their radios pretty loud ... Everything was clean and tidy. They had cookies at the front desk when we returned in the evening. The pool looked nice and clean, we didn't have time to use it. The internet speed was very satisfactory for all of us. We'd stay there again, and maybe on a less busy weekend, rates would be closer to what I was expecting. From the reviews I'd read I was just expecting a bit 'more'

"Relaxation"
John G, 14 Août 2016

One of the most relaxing Inns that I have had the pleasure of staying. Staff gracious and helpful, amenities (spa/pool) wonderful, room was nicely amended. Breakfast was hot and freshly made. Easy access, parking (front) minimized noise levels. Pleasurable stay.

"Noisy and unclean."
Kyle S, 13 Août 2016

They didn't have soap in the lobby restroom which is very troubling and gross given that I watch a five people go straight to the dining area. The staff was nice but the rooms around us were full on noisy kids that didn't calm down until around 1 am even after the staff came by their room and requested they quiet down.

"nice place and convenient location to crater lake."
rajani m, 10 Août 2016

We stayed one night on our way to crater lake from Washington; hotel is in a very convenient location to crater lake. Breakfast options were good with lot to choose from. will definitely recommend this hotel. This hotel is listed part of costco travel; I recommend booking through them to get extra discount.

"Great place to stay for one night or a week"
Travelduh, 08 Août 2016

We have stayed here several times, but they have remodeled rooms and it made this hotel first rate. Friendly staff, flexible - they allowed us late checkout, room was nice, very quiet. All very good except the new shower head. If you are shorter you may not be able to reach it as it is very high and only dribbles the water out. All else was good however.

"Great Base for Crater Lake Visit"
ChildrensWrite, 04 Août 2016

Our family of four stayed at this hotel for two nights as we explored Crater Lake and the surrounding area. The food was very good, room was clean, pool was well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was poor Wi-Fi. Should we visit the area again, we'll be sure to return.

"Great stopover on the way to Crater Lake!"
sandpailkids, 03 Août 2016

You can't beat the location and friendly staff at this nice clean Best Western. The breakfast was included and had everything you would want. Must do the Oregon Observatory in the evening for a great nearby activity for all ages! Nice location for entering Crater Lake National Park at the North entrance.

"GREAT LAYOVER IN LA PINE"
David D, 26 Juillet 2016

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting the Newberry Caldera or the Oregon Outback. Clean and comfortable. Their dinner recommendation proved to be spot on. We would definitely stay here again.

"great deal for the $"
Kathy_j_ontario, 25 Juillet 2016

excellent accommodations at a great price. You won't be disappointed. Beds are super comfy, updated bathrooms, and hotel is very clean. Staff is extremely warm and welcoming. Great breakfast included as well.

"Perfect for a Wedding"
Lauria M, 18 Juillet 2016

On saturday, July 16th, my daughter was getting married at Crane Prairie Campground. My husband and I stayed at the hotel to give her a place to shower and to get ready for the wedding. It was the perfect setting! The staircase made the perfect backdrop for some beautiful pictures. The outside was clean as well, so we were able to take a few photos there as well. All the decore in the hotel matched the wedding theme and worked out beautifully. We didn't know that ahead of time, so we were very happy with the surprise.

"very nice except for noisy Harleys parked under our rooms and their early departure long before we wanted to get up"
Mike G, 18 Juillet 2016

nice Harleys were parked outside just below our windows and their mufflers (or lack thereof) and their radios were not very much appreciated early in the morning when we wanted to sleep later than 7 am.

"Pleasurable stay"
David M, 16 Juillet 2016

Adequate and comfortable. Nice indoor pool and spa. Good parking, especially behind hotel. Close to many Central Oregon attractions. Nestled in behind a good gas station / convenience store with a McDonald's restaurant attached, and a Subway restaurant, right off Highway 97 on the north end of La Pine. There is also a Taco Bell just across the street and a grocery store just down the street.

"Peaceful and quite rest"
Kathy S, 13 Juillet 2016

Very modern clean and well maintained property. Even though it is next to a busy highway the rooms are quite and very comfortable. The staff is very professional and helpful. Great place to stop when in the middle of no where.

"Solid Stay - Disappointing Breakfast"
AGoingGal, 10 Juillet 2016

This is my second time staying here and I had a better experience. I received a room in the newer part of the hotel and, with the exception of a missing finial from a lamp (caused the shade to sit poorly), there was nothing wrong with the room. The bed slept fine and all was nice and quiet. The AC worked well and there were no issues with the internet. Also, due to problems with my last stay, I was offered a reduction in my rate on my next stay. I never thought I'd stay here again but it happened. I was given a $20 discount that seemed just about right. Breakfast was a disappointment - you just don't want to watch while your breakfast eggs are microwaved. I know that the eggs served at most hotels nowadays start from a plastic bag but knowing they are cooked in a microwave is off putting. There was nothing particularly special about the breakfast and the coffee was very weak.

"Very good place"
Mare H, 03 Juillet 2016

The staff at this property are terrific at making guests feel at home, and have always gone the extra effort to see to the little things that let you know your business is appreciated. Even the breakfast was ready 15 minutes early, because the front desk knew 'people sometimes want to get going in the summertime'. If you like comfort in the evenings from a long day of outdoor fun, this is the place to go.

"Best Western Wins Again"
Susan J, 02 Juillet 2016

This is a really nice Best Western. Very Comfortable, Clean, Friendly employees. All of the employees, the ones at the front desk to the housekeepers and maintenance crew, friendly and smiles galore. You can tell they they really enjoy working there and helping you with anything you need. Clean, comfortable Rooms, great breakfast served to you daily. Look forward to staying there again.

"Lovely place to stay"
Patricia M, 02 Juillet 2016

This is a lovely place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice. We were staying there as a family (two different rooms) to take parent's ashes south to distribute as per their final wishes. For our age group (limited incomes) we always think that motel rooms are overpriced - certainly not limited to the Newberry Station. We also realized that this was the 4th of July weekend. Would we stay here again? Certainly yes.

"Not the Best of the Best Western Brand, bathroom needs improving from the improvement."
Tyme4relaxing, 01 Juillet 2016

I guess I have just grown to expect more from a Best Western. Everything was average. I hated the bathroom set up. It looks like it use to be a split bathroom with an area for a sink on the outside of the actual bathroom but for some reason they changed it. Now this area is a want to be something else but it can't figure out what. The area is too tight for what they are trying to use it for. There is not enough room for a microwave and a coffee pot on top and a tiny little refrigerator that you have to get down on your hands and knees to get into. What was you thinking? The sink in the bathroom is now a pedestal sink and there is no room to put anything. The rest of the room was good, clean, traditional decor. The pool was nice. They have a hot tub but the jets were lacking and it had a funny smell. Towels should be available for the pool area, had to ask at the front desk. There is no trash can in the pool area either. Breakfast was good, biscuit and gravy, bacon and eggs, good variety.

"Best west of hwy 97"
cpmontana, 30 Juin 2016

Really nice hotel, super clean rooms and great beds. You get a warm western feeling when you walk in the lobby. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice pillow clean bathroom. They have a small park on hotel grounds with lots of shade trees. Continental breakfast was great. If your in la pine and you can get a room here, great place to stay.

"Very nice hotel!"
BrianandLinda33, 28 Juin 2016

The staff were very friendly. We especially liked Debra. She was very sweet and helped us in every way possible. The pool was open 24/7 which was perfect for us. It was a very clean room on top of it. We would stay here again!

"Pleasant"
Leith82, 27 Juin 2016

We searched for a hotel located a reasonable drive from remote Crater Lake and this is what we found. The city of La Pine is very small but is the largest for miles around. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and know we certainly made the right choice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were being refurbished when we were there, you couldn't have asked for anything fresher. Breakfast was included.

"Excellent Lodgings"
Phillip M, 24 Juin 2016

Daughter, grandson, & I stayed one night. Polite, friendly & very competent reception and staff. Loved the spacious lobby with stuffed furniture, chess table, & public access to computer. Large, 2-queen room was clean with all the amenities. However, bottom of bathtub was dangerously slippery. Reported to desk clerk who said remodeling still underway, , , should have provided a traction mat. Breakfast food & dining was very good. Nearby Asian restaurant (Hunan Chinese Restaurant) was exceptional, and they do NOT use MSGs!!

"Excellent Stay"
Lanelle K, 16 Juin 2016

Best Western Newberry Station is the perfect hotel for launching off on a Central Oregon adventure. We went to Crater Lake and had a blast. The hotel was wonderful, far surpassing my expectations for a very small town.

"EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE"
Heidi W, 15 Juin 2016

We always stay at this hotel when traveling to La Pine. Location is perfect for us and while the hotel is located on the Hwy. all rooms are very quiet. We have had rooms on either end of the building. Tammy Treas has always provided us with an amazing check-in. check-out, reservation, room location and anything extra we have requested "experience". You will be very happy here.

"The Best Bestwestern"
paulrA6054AS, 15 Juin 2016

Great hotel with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Best hotel in the area new rooms great decor comfortable beds located close to food and area attractions. free breakfast nice pool easy access from freeway

"Brought Dogs"
jwey, 13 Juin 2016

We stayed at the hotel twice during the same trip. Once on the way there and then again returning. We have two dogs. The first time through, the hotel was pretty full. We were put on the second floor which was nice and remodeled. The linens were nice and the bed was comfortable. Coming back, however, we were put in a "dog friendly" room on the first floor. The bed linens were old and worn and the room smelled. They said they were replacing all the carpets in the hotel and there was work being done. Once again, the hotel was full so we couldn't move. If you can, see if you can get on an upper floor even if you have a dog. If your dog has "issues" stay on the first floor. It is a quick exit to the outside area. Breakfast was wonderful with a cheery staff.

"Great Location for Crater Lake NP"
T0nyS, 31 Mai 2016

Due to itinerary changes we had booked and cancelled this hotel a few times in the past but this time, it fell in perfectly with our plans. The lobby was quite grand with wooden floorboards, very comfortable-looking chairs and a functional chessboard near reception. It had an air of quality about it; a little like the Wort in Jackson but not quite as grand (which I know won't mean much to everyone but it reminded us of this august establishment). The check-in service was fast and efficient and the room was suite-like with a comfortable sofa next to the queen. There are a few eateries within easy walking distance including Subway & McDonalds and if you are fed up of these, a gas station with sandwiches, snacks, etc. (BTW - very helpful guy in the gas station the next morning who called the NPS to check on the status of the north entrance of Crater Lake NP for us).

"Pretty Uncomfortable"
Rose G, 31 Mai 2016

If you are not interested in sleeping, using your desk, eating in the room, showering safely or being able to see things well, this is your place. Mattresses were lumpy, desk chair was only about 6 inches off the ground, bathtub was slippery, even with extra rubber mat, microwave and fridge were in the bathroom alcove and all the lighting is strategically misplaced, so it is hard to see anything. Will not return.

"Passing Through"
Hobo778, 24 Mai 2016

Stopped here on the way to Clarkston, WA. The location is off the main highway and can be a bit difficult. It could use a larger sized sign at the entrance road next to the Shell Gas station. The room - 214 - was very large, a corner room with two large windows. Two luggage stands! - very unusual and very appreciated. No food service except for a good breakfast buffet. Room had only one fault: the lamp on the right side of the bed was missing a switch handle. It was clean, well lighted, had two lounge chairs, one hassock, two side chairs at a small table. Staff was friendly. There is no elevator to the second level of the two-story hotel. Other visitors seemed pleased with the hotel.

"Clean, quiet and welcoming!"
DawnT149, 23 Mai 2016

I am so glad I stopped here! From the moment I approached the front desk, the staff were welcoming and efficient, both at checkin and the next morning. The room was spacious and spotless, and there was a good variety of breakfast buffet options. Easy on and off the highway, too!

"camping option."
Ransun H, 23 Mai 2016

Did not expect to find this kind of quality in a motel in this area. A very nice addition to La Pine, OR, for people who like the option to stay in a comfortable room, with breakfast, instead of camping. The location is right in the middle of one of the most unique outdoor recreational areas in the nation. We will do it again soon.

"Travel"
James A, 21 Mai 2016

Restful room during long driving and traveling. Breakfast was great and saves time for traveling instead of searching for restaurants. Feeling safe in an area that you are not used to is a plus. Easy access to route used to continue my trip was great.

"Clean and modern"
William K, 19 Mai 2016

Nicel clean and comfortable hotel for a night on the road. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in and out. Nice pool that is open 24hrs for adults. Bed was very comfy as well. Breakfast was standard but nothing special. Some fresh fruit would have been nice.

"Newberry Best Western"
Neil L, 17 Mai 2016

There in really no reason to stay anywhere else in this small town. Excellent staff, great free breakfast, free and fast WI-FI, great TV selection, great beds, overall very good esthetics for a 20-year-old motel. AAA discount, easy access. Subway and McDonalds next to parking lot. Nice lobby overhang for motorcycles to get out of weather if necessary. Some reviewers mentioned prices too high, but I found rates typical for a BW in basically a destination area (Bend, Mt Bachelor, Sunriver, High Desert Museum, Pronghorn, Fort Rock, combination of forests, high plains and desert close at hand.

"Late night stop"
Daya C, 09 Mai 2016

My son and I were on our way to California for my brothers wedding. We checked in late but it was quick and smooth. We had a great breakfast with great staff and we would stay again!! I wish we had time to use the pool and hot tub.

"Another good value"
2norske, 02 Mai 2016

We stayed at this hotel in December and we were on a lower floor that was terribly noise from a group just above us. This time, we ask to be in the new section and upstairs so that we would not be bothered by any noise above us. The staff at check in was super helpful and they put us in a quiet corner room. We like this hotel and like staying away from Bend, as it is more convenient to the highway (quiet) and easy for gas and food (just a walk across the parking lot.) We'll come back.

"BW Newberry Station La Pine OR"
John I, 02 Mai 2016

If you are looking for lodging in this part of Oregon, consider this property. The rooms are quite nice and good size. The appearance of the hotel is inviting and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced including breakfast.

"Had a great stay"
Becky D, 02 Mai 2016

Friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms, great location. Called at the last minute and was able to get a room. The Front Desk person was very thorough in her description of available rooms, and actually remembered my name when I finally arrived 4 hours later. I'm a light sleeper and the room was so quiet, I slept like a log the entire night. Wonderful breakfast included. Although I didn't use the pool, I was informed at check-in that loaner bathing suits were available; should I want one. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"4 th Visit will be back ?"
Lexi1085, 01 Mai 2016

I stayed for the weekend with my Daughter . We asked to be put into the New end of the Hotel , it is very nice & clean. I was told that there are plans to update the older part of the hotel which is very needed. The entire staff was and always is extremely friendly and always helpful . Thank you for a nice relaxing weekend Best Western Staff. ?

"not guaranteed"
Michael C, 28 Avril 2016

reserved rooms three weeks ahead and upon check in they had sold our rooms and give us what was left over.Purpose of reservations are to get what you expect to pay good money for and to know your family won't be on the other side of the hotel complex.

"Best Western La Pine, OR"
John B, 13 Avril 2016

This is a nice hotel. Really the only choice in this area as the other hotel doesn't stack up to the Best Western. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice and very clean. I've stayed here in the past and always choose this hotel when visiting friends in La Pine.

"cold waters"
graniterock1, 11 Avril 2016

The overall cleanliness was great and we will come back to this location, just hope next time the Pool and Jacuzzi will be on the warm side, COLD was the word that comes to my mind..Good breakfast and nice staff.

"Oasis"
leslie321, 11 Avril 2016

Adding this hotel to our list of favorites. It is not far from Bend, where we usually stay. The hotel is nice, easy to find, and a great stop. Comfortable room and the lobby is a great place to hang out.

"Quiet Comfortable Hotel"
JERRY G, 10 Avril 2016

This Best Western is located just off Hwy 97 in small town of La Pine south of Bend. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was all you needed to start the day served in a spacious open room. There is plenty to explore in the area and this makes a great place for a good night sleep.

"CLEAN, MODERN, COMFORTABLE"
Teresa G, 07 Avril 2016

This is our second time staying here. We loved it so much the first time that when ever we want to spend time in the Oregon "OUTBACK" we will be staying here. The beds were great and the breakfast was fabulous. The staff could not be more pleasant and professional.

"Comfortable, Cozy Hotel in Small Town Setting"
Andrew P, 27 Mars 2016

The Best Western in La Pine is a modern, comfortable hotel in an area without much local competition. It is located on Hwy. 97 on the north-side of town tucked behind a Shell/McDonald's and a Subway. La Pine is not very large, sits at about 4,000 Ft. elevation, and is quiet during the non-summer months. The town has a couple Mexican restaurants, a couple Chinese Restaurants, a pizza place, etc. as far as eating options. The hotel has a large, well-furnished lobby adjacent to its indoor pool and spa. There is a fairly distinct chlorine smell in the lobby. There were copies of the local newspaper, but no USA Today's or other newspaper options. The breakfast/dining room is also next to the lobby and has eggs, a meat (bacon or sausage), make your own blueberry or vanilla pancake batter, and the typical cereals, yogurt, muffins, juices, fruit, etc. The breakfast counter was maintained by one of the front desk staff and she did a good job as the hot food was hot, the coffee canisters full, and the milk cold. Seating is a little limited, but overall better than the average hotel breakfast. Our room had a queen bed, small dresser, coffee table, small desk/table, and a sofa. The bathroom sink was a free-standing type with minimal shelf space other than a small ledge above the sink. The counter space on a nook outside the bathroom was occupied by a microwave, coffee-maker, and cups with a small refrigerator underneath. Another table in the room would be useful to support the microwave and coffee-maker to free-up counter space near the bathroom. Water pressure was somewhat low, and the sink didn't drain very quickly, but these are minor quibbles. The room does not have an individual A/C and heating unit and is connected to the hotel's central heating system. There is a thermostat which I suppose is used to adjust the damper settings. The temperature control was good, however, during our stay in March (lows were near freezing, with highs in the mid-50's. My wife would have preferred more air circulation, but this was also a minor quibble. The hotel's Wi-Fi worked well. We would stay here again, especially during the off-season when rates are low. If you want to be in this area for the lake/outdoor activities, and like a quiet area, this is a better option than hotels in Bend which are 20 minutes away.

"Family Adventure"
Charles W, 21 Mars 2016

We went to the area to visit the Cowboy Dinner Tree and then stayed at the Best Western. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. We reserved four rooms for our group and everyone was pleased. The only complaint would be that our bed was uncomfortable. We had a good time and the kids loved swimming. We would stay again.

"Great Experience--amazing front desk staff and manager."
Heidi W, 12 Mars 2016

My title says it all.....the manager and staff are amazing. Have stayed here numerous times when visiting family. We are always treated very well. Nice having an indoor pool and hot tub. The location is just off Hwy. 97, our room was on the highway side but no road no road noise. Cookies in the evening....warm and yummy.

"Perfect for Our Needs - Likely Yours Too"
Gypsyjody, 12 Mars 2016

Traveling for the Idaho Panhandle to Oakland, CA, this hotel was not only in the perfect location to stop for the night but met our every need. Greeted by a warm smile and offer of cookies, assigned a quiet, clean, comfortable room and woke up to fresh brewed coffee and a terrific complimentary breakfast. We were only there long enough to rest and hit the road again but we left indeed well rested.

"baskball player"
Juana J, 01 Mars 2016

I really enjoyed the stay close to food and the gym and have great time and was happy with the staff and nice. I would go back and stay again. The team really enjoy the weekend. The indoor pool was good maybe more ventilation would be good.

"just what needed"
terrymtess, 28 Février 2016

Stopped here at the end of a long day. I did not have a reservation, but was meet with a smile anyway. Was all checked in and in my room in a matter of minutes. They had a very nice continentel breakfast.

"Nice place to stay"
rondad237, 25 Février 2016

I have stayed here on business, and found it to be very nice and especially for the money. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are updated and the bed is comfy. This is a very nice place to stay , only negative is no elevator

"Love It Here!"
Linda K H, 25 Février 2016

Very friendly and clean. Staff is friendly and nice. Nothing negative to say! We ave been coming for years and is always excellent! We will continue coming in the future for our business. We love the great breakfast that is included in the price as well as wifi in the room. We highly recommend Newberry Station in LaPine.

"GOOD LOCATION, NICE ROOM, NICE BREAKFAST"
BeeVancouver, 23 Février 2016

This is a nice hotel with a convenient location on route 97. The rooms are clean and ours was quiet, too. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing to complain about. The only thing missing was a fitness center.

"Acceptable"
OutdoorBoomer, 11 Février 2016

We often go to and from CA on Highway 97 and thought we would try this place out on the spur of the moment. The good: pleasant common areas, friendly staff, decent enough free hotel breakfast, indoor heated pool, spacious room. Not as good: dated furnishings, only so-so comfortable bed, worn/dirty carpet in hallways, price higher than I would expect for this particular property. (Perhaps they increased rates on New Years Eve to keep party-people away? You could check prices on-line.) Bottom line? It was okay but next time I will continue up the road to Bend. There are nicer properties for the same or less price available there.

"Coming home from Cali'"
GUY T, 02 Février 2016

We've stayed here before, but we were slightly disappointed in the breakfast and the fact that the pool/spa was not open. We found the stay to be very professional and courteous, especially the grave yard shift desk clerk. The room was comfortable and the bed/pillows allowed us into a quick slumber. Breakfast was a little bland and the eggs/sausage needed to be a little warmer. Thought we would of gotten more for the price that we paid, definitely did at the other Best Westerns that we stayed at on this trip.

"Pricy but nice"
Daryl-Hunter, 27 Janvier 2016

I was headed home wrapping up a 4,000 photo tour and stopped in La Pine thinking it would be cheaper than Bend, 30 miles up the road which is a ski resort. I didn't save any money but the place was nice. That said, it was snowy and the covered drive though area by the lobby door was blocked off so we had to drag our luggage through the snow. Since my wife was nursing an injured knee, this wan't helpful. The pool and hot tub were said to be shut down for painting??? maybe that is why there was a road block around the lobby entry as well. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable and nice. This would have been a five star review had we been able to access the lobby easier and taken a much needed hot tub.

"Staff, good.....hotel, average"
Mjandpups, 19 Janvier 2016

In La Pine this was the best property offered but the hotel is quite dated and the furniture in the room we had needed to be replaced! Our room had a musty smell which was likely from the old carpet, drapes and furnishings. The staff was friendly. The daily breakfast was average, at best. Wish I could be more positive.

"Good value"
2norske, 28 Décembre 2015

We stopped here for the night and had a very favorable rate and greeting by the front counter ladies. The room was spacious and tucked into a corner, and we were just across the parking lot from a Subway shop so it was very easy for us to enjoy a quick dinner. The room was nice and the bath very clean, but the only drawback was a the noise generated from the floor above us. There was a large family with 4 rooms rented above us and we could hear them until midnight going in and out of the rooms and walking across the floor. Earplugs did not help the situation! We would stay there again as the price and the breakfast were a very good value, but we would request an upper level room for the "noise" factor.

"Great Choice"
Cindy C, 07 Décembre 2015

Love the atmosphere, staff, décor and food. The pool was very blue and clean and the hot tub was clean and hot. The staff was very helpful, as well as friendly. You can walk anywhere in town from here and if you want to go on a morning walk there is a lot of area surrounding it to go.

"best bed for a super fair price"
lori h, 20 Novembre 2015

traveling across the country we really enjoyed the consistency of the best western - for 3 weeks we only stayed 2 nights in other locations and was so pleased with every night! comfy beds - wifi - free breakfast - and extra pillows! cant beat it!

"Like the Upgrades"
Helen B, 19 Novembre 2015

I've stayed at the NewBerry Station several times. The staff is always excellent. I like the upgrades they've done to the rooms, they are bigger than most standard hotel rooms. Beds are comfortable and breakfast- not bad.

"Nice Stay !"
Robert B, 16 Novembre 2015

Nice updated location, clean . quiet, comfortable. Bed was outstanding , great visit . Nice to see the hottub stay open 24 /7 This is an above average Best Western in a fairly rural area and I will highly recommend it. The staff was friendly, organized and very helpful. They are very well trained. The only downer was was the breakfast bar was horrible, somebody is trying to save a nickle here. The Microwaved scrambled eggs and bacon has to go. Really poor quality

"Not happy"
kellywP529CZ, 06 Novembre 2015

For the price I expect excellent service. The breakfast was not fresh and out of waffles, and the host did nothing about it. The room had cleanliness issues. Not big ones, but big enough for the price.

"Friendly staff, clean rooms"
Chris L, 03 Novembre 2015

The staff members, without exception, were friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. The pool area was clean and pleasant. I would stay here again if I was traveling to La Pine.

"Two days was very comfortable. Very friendly stsff"
AlaskanArctic, 27 Octobre 2015

Very good breakfast, good parking but I thought it strange they have the covered entrance blocked off. Very clean, good comfortable beds, nice indoor swimming pool but we did not use, unusual entrance but was easy to figure out, close to food

"Nice Hotel"
philipj832, 26 Octobre 2015

Very nice hotel with good parking. The road in front and side was under construction so it made it difficult to get into the parking lot. Otherwise it was a great stay! We liked the ease of parking and very near our room. Great when you have to run out to the car. Room was very spacious and the bed was huge. Nicely decorated and clean. No problems.

"Good Place"
vatonorteno, 24 Octobre 2015

Construction going on at the time of my stay made accessibility to the hotel terribly difficult. One had to go a mile out of the way to access the main road. Businesses blocked off by construction should have clamored for the construction crew to provide a lane of accessibility back to the main road. Also, the check-in area for cars is completely blocked off the cars parking there to check in. Why? The room was large and well-priced and the service was good. The breakfast was also good.

"Great Base of Operation"
Lee M, 19 Octobre 2015

Stayed here as we had early morning activities in the local area and I live 3 hrs plus away from here. Rooms were clean and comfy, good location for your Christmas Valley, Edison Butte, Cline Butte, and general Central Oregon desert and mountain four wheeling activities.

"Great atmosphere"
Jeanne F, 17 Octobre 2015

This is a family favorite. It's a great base to see the sights from, hike, fish or explore. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous and professional. The breakfast bar stays stocked until the last minute. The décor is beautiful and they have fresh warm cookies in the evening in the lobby!

"Good Bed"
970bonniea, 14 Octobre 2015

The best bed I have ever slept on and the sheets were so sliky soft. Had an excellent breakfast to start the day.Loved the pool and the towels were so soft on my skin. Hate those scratchy towels but these were great.

"A good hotel but shortage of restaurants nearby"
Phillippo007, 14 Octobre 2015

The hotel is well located next door to the main road. In the short term (fall 2015) access is a bit complicated due to road works. The hotel is of a good quality with good sized quiet rooms. Breakfast was of a good quality. The only problem we found, which is not really the hotels problem, is the shortage of anywhere to eat in the near vicinity. We arrived at 6.30 and struggled to find anywhere that was still open for an evening meal.

"Price and Comfort"
Steve B, 09 Octobre 2015

I feel that the service and comfort of my stay was just right for the price. As I looked for other hotels I found that Best Western was comperable however the service and the comfort was above average.

"No problem, easy stay"
agff3, 07 Octobre 2015

Quiet town once construction on Reed is over (today I believe). Comfortable place to stay. Beds good and breakfast very good and well attended. Walls a little thin, but once 10PM hit all was good. Will definitely stay here again next time in La Pine.

"Comfy and peaceful "
Madeline M, 04 Octobre 2015

Very nice clean and quiet hotel. Wonderful lobby and bed was super comfy. Very helpful friendly staff running the place. Didn't use the pool or spa but it seemed very clean and is open 24 hours. Great breakfast.

"Great Facility"
Jim E, 02 Octobre 2015

Very nice facility, large clean and comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff. Nice but small pool but open 24 hours so that midnight dip is OK. Breakfast is pretty much standard fare but balanced and filling with a good selection. If you are going to or coming from Crater Lake National Park or just visiting the Cascade Lakes area this is a great place to stay.

"Good Stay"
rich w, 01 Octobre 2015

There are not many choice for hotels in La Pine. Our first room had a noise issue and the staff at the front desk was very helpful in finding us another room. The hotel is in good condition but the newly built section has nicer more modern rooms. We would stay again if ever in La Pine. The only downside was the slow Wi-Fi.

"Best quality and best value on our trip"
Richard H, 23 Septembre 2015

Led 35 people on a 691 mile, 8 day, bicycle trip supported with two trucks. Of the hotels we used the two Best Westerns were by far the most comfortable and best furnished. Newberry Station in La Pine is distinguished by the quality of the complementary breakfast and the remarkably economical room rates.
