Resumen de la reserva
We had an excellent stay at the Best Western Hammondsport. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and safe. Ample safe onsite parking. The included Breakfast is good with a nice variety, and better than most Hotel offerings. It is a very short drive to Hammondsport. Normal check-in is at 3:00, but we got in town a little before noon, so we stopped to see if we could check in early, our room was ready, and they let us check in without any problems at all. Staff all very friendly. Excellent choice in the Hammondsport area to stay!
The hotel is fairly new. The room was extremely clean as was the lobby and breakfast area. The breakfast was very good. The food was prepared and not prepackaged and they use dishes and silverware rather than plastic and paper! The only negative comment to make was that we were told by two people in their reservations that they had a hot tub. They DO NOT have a hot tub. They have a small pool. So, after a long day of travel, the no hot tub was a big disappointment. Headquarters should make a note of the incorrect information being given to people who are making a reservation. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. We slept very well here and it was a quite hotel as well. Despite the no hot tub, we would stay there again.
Breakfast included was full — cereals, eggs, bacon, waffles, etc. Attendant kept it well stocked. Front desk attendant friendly and helpful. Room clean, comfortable, wifi worked well. Plenty of room on bathroom counter, lighting excellent.
We have never stayed in a hotel that not only had such a clean and comfortable room, but an unbelievable staff. Every staff member was warm, friendly, happy and fun. We had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to go back. We love Hammondsport and I grew up in the area, so it's always nice to return, but now that we've discovered this incredible hotel, we can't wait to return and will only stay there. Location is perfect!
This is a nice newer [9 y/o] property close to downtown Hammandsport. It is EZ to find on Rt 54 and is very close to Curtiss Museum. We had a nice breakfast. There is a restaurant open in the evening but we ate elsewhere. Ask for an even # room for a better view
We stayed for 4 days. The hotel was very clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. The pillows were soft and fluffy. The hot breakfast was very good and there were choices. scrambled eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat, waffles.... The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
This is one of the best BW we have stayed at! Very clean and the food was very good! It is nice they serve in house meal at dinner time if you don't feel like going out. They have two fire pits that were an added bonus as we were with three other couples. Definitely a great hotel !
Exceptional stay! Staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was hot every morning and offered a good variety. Definitely will stay here when in the Finger Lakes again, and definitely for events at Watkins Glen Raceway.
Very nice, clean and friendly hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends! Breakfast was fresh and hot. Waffles was a very nice touch. The room rates were reasonable. Coffee was available 24 hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful!!
The suite was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The room and entire hotel was very clean. The breakfast was great. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, rosemary potatoes, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice etc. Everyone that worked at the hotel was friendly. The gentleman that checked us in was great. He was very professional and friendly. We would definately stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel.
Bed very comfortable.Room and bathroom very clean.Hotel staff very polite and helpful.Breakfastbwasbgreat. The eggs and home fries delicious. Great location to visit the wineries,Glen Curtis museum also close to Corning which is also a great place visit.
This is the second time staying here. The rooms are immaculate. The employees are very professional, helpful and friendly. When you stay here, you become part of the family. They have added dinner and a small bar. The food was excellent! When I left I felt like I was leaving family behind. I strongly recommend this hotel!
We've been here before, and we'll return again. Everything about this property is comfortable and immaculate. All front desk staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the comfy bed, sparkling white step-in shower, and spacious room. Bonus: good lighting, password-protected wifi, and plenty of electrical outlets.
Tremendous service and cleanliness. Great place to stay when in the finger lakes. From arrival to departure you feel welcomed. Housekeeping is outstanding and all staff are cordial and polite. I highly recommend this hotel for any travelers in the southern finger lakes region
Comfortable bed and pillows. Towels and washcloths very soft. Wi-Fi was NOT satisfactory. Phone calls would not come through on my cellphone (Verizon service). Had to use the hotel “public” Wi-Fi. Not a comfortable feeling. I went to my vehicle to use my own secure Wi-Fi for messages and emails. Our room was located in the back of the hotel. Basic breakfast of a hotel. Front desk staff friendly. Short staffed for housekeeping in July! Had to go to front desk to get fresh towels.
I was Really Happy with my stay….best hotel in the area! Rooms are very nice …Breakfast was really well done….terrific hot items, waffles, eggs etc and lighter items like fresh fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt etc... and tons of stuff for the kids too… The staff is SO friendly and helpful…they always go the extra mile … (I have to add….One of the worse storms in history happened just before my stay and we had a power outage my first day and a main line water burst in town the next and the hotel handled the whole situation with calm and purpose….both problems were fixed by the locals in a few hours…) Well done! I totally recommend!
Its the perfect place to stay for your visit to Lake Kueka. Super clean, friendly staff, and centrally located. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. Be sure to check get some of the fresh cookies before you go and set out at the firepits. It was a nice touch.
I have been staying at this hotel since it opened, we found it by dumb luck and so glad we did. Everyone has been amazing from the kitchen staff up through the manager! During the winter i am still up with the birds, when the desk staff see me in the lobby reading they will turn on the fireplace for me. That's a 5-star in my book. Rooms are always clean and stocked with bathroom supplies.
Excellent hotel. Super clean and great location on the winery trail. Staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful.
Stayed one night after a nearby concert (and noticed many others from the concert) and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was kept. From check in to check out, the experience was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was cheerful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the area kept sparkling clean. I would return here again!!!
This is the third Best Western I have stayed at in the past month. Two were BW Plus and the other a BW. By far the best. When we checked in we had a great conversation with the person that checked us in. He asked what brought us there and we told him that we were there to see a concert with a 70's and 80's musician. When we said who it was he did recognize the name and a few songs, he was likely in his 30's. A few days later when we came back from the concert he recognized us asked us how it was. Some of the areas to highlight is how great the lighting was everywhere, especially the rooms. This was not the case at the previous two. The fitness centre had all the equipment I needed and was very clean, again not so with the other two. The breakfast was great as well. Liked how the had the menu posted with the hours. The food was great and plentiful. The staff greeted you each day and asked if there was anything else they could get for us. All in all a great stay.
Nice hotel, seemed pretty new. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good breakfast with real plates and cutlery (not plastic), which took the dining experience up a notch and is great to see for the environment. King suite was spacious and had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Our room faced the road and we did hear traffic early in the morning, which disturbed our sleep, so would suggest a back-facing room for any light sleepers. Location good--quick drive to town centre restaurants and lake. (Walkable, but it's a busy road.)
We enjoyed a very relaxing stay. The hotel was very clean, rooms provided a quiet oasis, close to many wineries. We were glad to return to the hotel at the end of the day. A very large breakfast selection with a self serve coffee machine with a wide range of selections. The staff was most helpful.
Best Western plus never disappoints in Hammondsport. Their customer service is top-notch and they are accommodations. Couldn't be any nicer.!
My husband and I enjoyed the clean, comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast. Front desk was helpful suggesting local activities.
We had a great experience at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast had so many options for all of us.
My husband and I run a event across the street at the Curtiss museum and always stay here. It has great , clean rooms and the amenities are wonderful. Pool open , lots of options for breakfast, and great staff.
The best way to explain my experience is to highlight three aspects of my stay; friendly. food, and clean. Recently, I stayed at a Microtel and it could never compare. This BW could be a show piece for the company. A+++
Hotel appears newer and is out in the country - had beautiful mountain views. All the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and conversational. Requested extra linens and extra blanket for sofabed in my reservation and the towels were in the bathroom and sofabed was pulled out and made upon arrival. Room was pristinely clean and beds very comfortable.
We have stayed here multiple time when traveling. This hotel continues to provide upstanding service, cleanliness, comfortable atmosphere. All staff is friendly and go out of they way to interact with you. Their breakfast is amazing! So many choices and all very good. This is the only place that we will par take in breakfast. Highly recommend.
Upon arrival I felt relaxed in this beautiful lobby, which had a fireplace burning on a cold January day. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and informative. After getting settled in my guest room I returned to the lobby to relax with a book and glass of wine in front of the fireplace. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, well attended by staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel and when I'm in the area will plan to stay here again!
Exceptional hotel. Staff were amazing and will definitely be back. Breakfast was really nice and plenty of items. Plenty of parking and extremely quiet area. You will not be disappointed at this hotel.
This hotel is easily accessible off a main road. The staff were all very friendly and the room was clean and pretty quiet. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, but Leslie made some delicious homemade banana bread that we enjoyed in addition.
So pleased that we choose Best Western Hotel at Hammondsport NY. Roomd were so clean snd smells fresh. Great and friendly staff who always ask how our stay was. Hot Breakfast was nice with lots if coffee choices. BW waffle was a nice idea. Parking was super safe and next door live music was an added bonus.
We had traveled to the Hammondsport area for the first time to attend a concert. While researching many properties in the area we came upon the Best Western, it seemed safe. The hotel was in a nice area and convenient for just about everything. When entering the hotel we were met by extremely kind and friendly staff, every single member couldn't do more for you, and with a smile! Our rooms was clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
With the exception of the breakfast person, staff seemed very dissatisfied with their jobs and let customers know it. Dangerous broken drain cover in shower and no housekeeping services were a big negative. Did not live up to the experiences of previos years.
We have stayed at this Best Western multiple times and we have always had excellent service. Have had several family members also stay here and their visits were also excellent. The breakfast is very good. There is a good selection and the food is always hot, fresh and well prepared.
Great hotel, clean, well maintained. Staff all efficient and friendly. Our bed was comfortable and we loved the temperature was easy to maintain in the room! Close to town but unfortunately not walkable, but that was ok. Our room faced the front and while it had a nice view, there was a lot of noise from cars and trucks driving through on the state road. Recommend asking for a back room if you're sensitive to road noise. We had some loud people in the hallway for a minute but they quieted down quickly so not a concern. Very good breakfast, loved the always available coffee machine in the eating area with the chocolate chip cookies!
Hotel priced at the high end of motel pricing, expecially considering this was off seeason in a relatively remote location. Was told that a 4-day stay was required to receive housekeeping service. Also, room had not been thoroughly cleaned before my arrival.
The room was clean and comfortable - the staff was pleasant - breakfast choices were good and the breakfast area was clean - the cookies offered upon our arrival were delicious - along with the tea and coffee!
We stopped over for a night to break up our drive from NYC to Toronto on our family summer vacation. The hotel exceeded our expectations - our room was clean and spacious (high ceiling height in our room on the first floor) and everything we needed was available. While we didn't use the pool or fitness centre, we did check them out and both were clean and well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was superb and far exceeded expectations. The bacon, scrambled eggs and rosemary potatoes were absolutely amazing. The variety and selection was excellent (muffins, toast, waffles, yogurt, granola, cereal, coffee and juice) and everyone, including our picky kids, found something to enjoy.
Our stay was fantastic. The room was great. Shower pressure was good and good amount of water. Breakfast was fantastic. My youngest son is gluten free and they were so accommodating to him. It made a short trip to the lake one of the best ones we had. Happy son, happy mom. Thank you so much for all you did for him.
The check in was very quick, professional and helpful. The room was clean, bright and modern. Everything worked as it should. Breakfast was very good and well presented, with a good variety of items to choose from. Staff kept the tables clean and the food restocked.
We asked for & were provided with a quiet room on the upper floor away from the elevator & ice machine. The bed was firm & very comfortable. Normally I dislike the small sofa-size pillows provided but they did not bother me this trip and I had very good sleep each night. Breakfast was the same offerings daily but there was a wide variety of choices. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. Next door is Finger Lakes Beer Company & they offer a buy one, get one free beverage. Their beer was very good; make sure you visit there. There was an indoor pool which we did not use & there was plenty of parking. The shower could have been a little cleaner which was the only blip in our stay.
The hotel is new and clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet was average. Hotel is convenient location(30 min drives) for visiting Glen Watkins, Corning museum, Finger Lakes and wineries.
This room had a broken ac unit that leaked all over the floor. Front desk seemed less than interested. The shower are definitely had black mold in the shower walls. They allowed a room across the hall to have 7 occupants overnight. They were noisy until about midnight. The breakfast area was overcrowded and we had to eat in the lobby. Only thing available was cold scrambled eggs (powered). This place was overpriced and we will never stay there again. I hope you don't stay there either.
Just wish they woukd have had a little more compassion and not charged me the full $200 for the first nights stay that i missed due to bad weather and flights being grounded. I stayed in touch with them and did all i could to get there.
This hotel is prime for wine trailing. Located at the base of Keuka Lake, all wineries are quickly and easily accessible within minutes. Also, only minutes from beautiful Hammondsport downtown. Hotel is clean, well run, friendly and modern.
It is a decent enough place. But remember it is a Best Western, it isn't a Hampton. The rooms are fine as long as you get one of the back side: the road noise for the rooms on the front side can be a bit much. The front staff are ok: neither unfriendly or friendly, just ok.
One of the best stays at a hotel in a while. Everything was clean and tidy; I would defiantly stay there again. The price was slightly higher than I thought it would be for the area, but that's opinionated.
Best Western, Hammonsport is the place (and the only place) we begin our family vacation every year to begin on route to our camping vacation at Letchworth State Park since the hotel first opened. It's simply the best (not only in the area) but anywhere! The people are great, rooms and accomodations are excellent and the area is as well.
What we saw (and were told by outside sources), this hotel is almost brand new, probably only opened in the last 5 years? VERY clean and well maintained. Rooms were clean and EVERYTHING worked well. Very clean indoor pool, small but nice, only thing we could have wanted was a jacuzzi there. Breakfast was your standard hotel food but the staff in there were top notch and very attentive. Hotel was only a five minute drive into Hammondsport and well within reach of many wineries and breweries, so it was a great central point. And if your a "beer person", Finger Lakes Brewery is next door, less than a minutes walk...with a BW room discount at the brewery for flights or pints! Can't beat that!
Great place to stay on the edge of the quaint town of Hammondsport. Easy access to the town center, Keuka Lake, waterfront dining, wonderful wineries, and the outstanding Glenn Curtiss Museum. Also close to a nice kayak launch for Lamoka and Wanetta Lakes.
Very clean hotel with courteous staff. Comfortable beds, pool, fitness center and outdoor firepits. A local brewery with delicious beers is right next door and if you can get past the rude bartender, it's a nice place to hang out.
From checkin to checkout everything here was fantastic. They accept small pets and since our small dog was along for the ride it was great we could bring him. The whole hotel was extremely clean and looked to be like new. All the staff were friendly and very nice. In the morning they served a great breakfast. The lady in charge of it was so nice and did a fantastic job, you could tell she enjoyed her work. Recommend this hotel very highly.
Staff are fantastic, very helpful and always friendly. The ladies that staff the breakfast are great, always keeping everything in perfect order and looking to help you in any way they can, true hostesses!
Relatively new hotel, helpful staff, spotless rooms, with great breakfast. Very convenient to local restaurants, wineries, hiking, lake and other local attractions. Highly recommend for couples or families!
We made a quick trip to New York for my sister's birthday. This is the second time we have stayed at this Best Western and both stays have been very refreshing. We enjoyed breakfast and our nights there. The room was neat and clean with easy check in and check out.
The rooms are always so clean, and comfortable! Breakfast is always top notch as well! The staff has always been friendly and attentive every time we stay! The property is unique with its decor which we love!
Room was very clean, and staff very friendly, and accommodating. It was in a great location, and easy access. It is located outside downtown Hammondsport. I would stay here again. Downtown Hammondsport is quaint and has alot of nice little shops to go into. Nice area for visiting wineries.
This is a crisp and attractive Best Western, very well located for a visit to top Finger Lakes wine producers around Keuka and Seneca Lake. Great nearby dining options like Park Inn, with an impressive and well priced local wine list…one of the best I've seen.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, but the walls between the rooms are thin and we could hear everything, talking, TV, toilet flushing, walking around, doors closing, dresser drawers opening and closing. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast lady really helped my husband with his food allergies. She went above and beyond to get him a hot breakfast.
We had an excellent stay. Reception staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was the best hotel variety we have seen in a long time and the staff were super friendly and professional. Overall I would highly recommend this BW when visiting the area.
One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel recently. Far exceeded my expectations and what I previously assumed a Best Western hotel would be like. You would think this hotel was built in the last year or so. The room was extremely clean and the accommodations were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was extensive and the staff that worked the area in the morning were attentive and friendly. Would recommend a stay here for sure!
The hotel seemed like new. I thought it must have charged a lower rate because it was new and needed to build a following. A true value for the finger lakes region. The only negative was a smell in the stairway, but it was not noticeable in the hallways or rooms.
Our daughter's birthday was spoiled by the rude front desk and manager. Instead of suggesting options they threatened us with legalities for asking about guest swimming when our son had previously swam as a guest this year. The next day we were out of our room from 10am to 7pm. Upon returning we received a phone call threatening to call the cops because our neice was visiting for a few minutes and we were above fire code capacity. When even with our immediate family we were above that at check in. Rude. Horrible beds. Will not waste $285 a night to be treated like garbage again.
Very clean, modern, friendly and courteous staff for our 3 day stay. Breakfast was great. Ideal location for going to the various finger lakes attractions and museums. Only one hour drive to the Delargo casino in Waterloo.
My husband and I and another couple had a three day stay here. The facility is well maintained, bright and tastefully decorated. The lobby and breakfast areas are quite spacious. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were great. They were friendly, helpful and gave us several recommendations for dinner. The breakfast buffet was better than most. Each day there were hot entrees, fruit, juices, yogurt, cereal and an assortment of breads and pastries. There was also 24 hour coffee service available. This facility has a pool, small gym and a guest laundry. Part of the convenience of staying at a hotel is daily housekeeping. We had no housekeeping during the 3 day stay and had to ask for more towels and shampoo. With this exception I would recommend this hotel.
Our party of 4 had been traveling about 1 1/2 weeks on the road visiting the NE and found this hotel to be a wonderful part of our journey. Staff was ver helpful and the rooms and accomodations were everything we expected...thanks for a particularly wonderful night of needed rest in a very pleasant place to stay...
Reasonably priced hotel. Very friendly/knowledgeable staff. Hotel is clean and well-maintained. Breakfast (which is included) is delicious. Beds are comfortable. Located near the town of Hammondsport. Short drive to many wineries & restaurants on Keuka & Seneca Lakes.
Clean room, friendly front desk staff, and good daily breakfast options. The gym equipment was a little dirty so I would recommend more optimal cleaning in this area. Additionally, there is a sign in the fitness center that asks guests to clean equipment when done working out but there are no cleaning supplies to do so. My husband and I are here for work purposes, not leisure, for several weeks. I had zero complaints until today. Unfortunately, one of the staff members made a mistake and charged our credit card for the full amount of the following week instead of using it for incidentals like she said she was going to do. She is a new employee and was working alone in the evening so the blame is not completely on her. We understand that everyone is human and mistakes happen. However, we are now out $1,500+ for the next 3-5 days until our bank releases the hold. We are diamond select BW members and had plans to stay at this location for the next 3 weeks. According to the GM, this is a leisure hotel, not a business hotel and since it is peak season, they could not offer us a discounted rate for the rest of our stay. We travel often and have stayed at hundreds of hotels throughout the country. This exact issue has happened to us several times before. Fortunately, each time any improper charging occurred due to a hotel staff members error, at the other BWP, Hilton, and Marriott hotels, we were compensated quite well. I cannot say the same for this location. For the $1,500 hold and hassle of frozen funds, the best they could offer a diamond select member was BW rewards points and $60 off one night ($224 per night instead of $289). As a BW diamond select member, I'm not completely satisfied with this. The Best Western Rewards program is divided into five levels: Blue, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Diamond Select. Diamond Select benefits include: Ability to earn and use points, priority check-in/out, free amenities, and member discounts. For guests who are planning to spend well over $3,500 for their stay, whether business or leisure, I don't think asking for a weekly discounted rate was too much for them to provide, especially given the circumstances. We will be staying here until this Friday and then likely searching for another place to finish out our additional 2-3 week stay. Update: My husband and I did our research and actually found much better rates and nicer hotels that would be willing to work with “business” and long term stay guests. Additionally, there are plenty of airbnbs and vrbo rentals in the area. If you are traveling for work or in this area long term, the Hammondsport BWP may not the best option for you as they are considered a “leisure” only hotel. Do your research of the area and find the the best rates. Don't let them price gouge you for 300$ plus a night on the weekends. The hotels we found were actually closer to Watkins Glen and offered much better food and attraction options than those in Hammondsport. The Pen Yan area is another good location if you are seeking long term/business stays. Hope this helps someone who falls in a similar situation!
My wife and I and another couple stayed two nights here last week. We are retired people who have traveled extensively throughout the US, the Islands as well as Western Europe. This hotel ranks among the finest (regardless of price) we've ever experienced. Immaculately clean, extra ordinally helpful and friendly staff even the ladies who run the free breakfast who picked up our empty plastic plates and utensils and deposited them in the trash. The general manager was on site behind the desk much of the time and she was awesome also. I give this hotel an 11 out of 10 and that's no exaggeration.
Immaculate and spacious rooms, with new shower. Clean and well stocked breakfast bar, and very friendly staff, from front desk to kitchen to housekeeping. We arrived later than anticipated but staff was extremely accommodating. We had a wonderful stay
From the moment I booked directly with the hotel the service was exceptional. Staff is there to assist in a professional and friendly manner. We were in the area to visit wineries and stayed two nights, the location was perfect to reaching both sides of the lake. They had a nice breakfast but the staff coming around taking away your dirty plates was something I had not experienced at any other hotel. The ladies in the morning were charming.
We certainly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Friendly, Welcoming, very Hospitable! Everyone was eager to assist us with all our questions and make us as comfortable as possible! Great place to stay, especially the location need Keuka Lake, breweries, wineries, and restaurants!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary getaway weekend. This is the most clean, friendly and cozy place we have ever traveled to; and we've traveled a bit being travel hockey parents. All the staff from start to finish were fantastic! The hotel was spotless! The breakfast was amazing and delious! We highly recommend this place which is super close, minutes from the town shops, restaurants, beach and vineyards! You are doing a great job here! Can't wait to come back soon!
We recently stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Hammondsport hotel. Our room was extremely clean and you could tell that the staff took pride in their work throughout the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and internet worked well. Lots of parking spaces available. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely stay again and would recommend to family and friends.
The people at this hotel make sure they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Briana at the front desk was so friendly and helped us find things to do in the area. Beth and leslie welcomed us to breakfast every day. They always had everything stocked and hot. Tables were always clean. The hotel was clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend staying here. The location was pretty great too. We visited lots of spots in the finger lakes region and never drove more than an hour one way, so we were pretty central, but we were enough out of the way of the business. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Clean, friendly environment. Easy access and parking. Nice lobby and pool area for children. Comfortable bed and quiet room, experienced no outside noise. Hotel staff was very welcoming. Would stay again!
Noise should of been dealt with ASAP when I called the front desk. At 10 pm at night their shouldn't be much noise. Its a hotel. A place to rest not party like the room next door did. The overpowering smell of Marijuana in the morning is not something at 630 am I felt like I should have to wake up too. Staff did nothing to accommodate these issues.
Very clean and new hotel, well maintained, easily accessible parking, friendly environment, courteous staff, nice breakfast. Really enjoyed the stay. Felt comfortable, safe and relaxed. Closed to food joints.
Top notch service at a really fine hotel. Breakfast stuff was truly amazing and it was a wonderful stay. Front desk was very helpful. The only issue we had was the shower. Minor issue with water pressure and an inferior shower head.
The rooms were squeaky clean, internet worked great. Breakfast was awesome with lots of choices including make your own waffle. Could use more luggage carts. Had two outdoor gas fire pits which was really nice. I did not use the pool or fitness center.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. What made it stand out though was the fabulous service from the front desk, breakfast and housekeeping staff! Friendly, helpful and caring. Breakfast had 3 hard working ladies helping and refilling the food and drink buffet items. Check in and check out we're both very pleasant experiences, with check out particularly helpful with a slightly later check out time. Thank you! Highly recommend this hotel!
Overall, our visit went well. The staff were very friendly. Beth was great at breakfast. The room was clean and large. We loved the firepits outside at night. Not having housekeeping was a downer. It'd be nice if they put out extra garbage bags and had a garbage drop off area to make up for the lake of housekeeping. The laundry room was clean as well, but someone needs to fix the hose connection as it was leaking.
Had a great experience. Very friendly staff, but paid double what other motels in the area were charging. Breakfast had many choices. Rooms were very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Unless prices are lowered I would look at other options. Price is the only reason I would look elsewhere.
From a welcoming, clean entryway, to the superbly friendly staff and the clean, spacious room, I highly recommend staying here. The staff is friendly and make excellent local restaurant recommendations. The entire facility is clean and modern with local history on display and ready to read about. The room we stayed in had a king bed. It was clean, the mattress soft and sheets/blankets comfortable. There was a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with all the essentials as well as shampoo, soaps and lotions. The free breakfast was well done. A lot of food: eggs, potatoes, meat, cereals, toast, bagels, fruit. 24 hour coffee. The breakfast area has a staff of 2-3 super friendly and helpful staff who are right there to get you anything you might not see and to restock. I highly recommend staying here! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! Very close to Watkins Glenn and other Finger Lakes and area hikes.
Great breakfast. Wonderful friendly staff. Beautiful area. Staff made great recommendations for local restaurants. Clean rooms with good air conditioning. 20 minute drive to Watkins-Glen. Highly recommend hiking the Gorge trail there.
Loved the location, the shower, the room, the bed, the attentive staff. Great breakfast offered. On our list to return. Brewery next door Was a nice surprise perk. What a charming place to visit and enjoy the lake.
My stay at the Best Western Plus was very enjoyable. All the staff were pleasant and greeted you each time they saw you. It was very clean and there was a good variety of food to choose from for your breakfast. I thought the rooms were a little pricey, but it is tourist season. I would stay there again.
The staff at every step, breakfast, front desk, housekeeping were very friendly. Folks would be hard pressed to find a place that could do it better. We were there with a large party, 10 rooms, for a wedding and everyone was commenting how nice it was!
We vacation in hotels partly to enjoy the service of making beds, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, etc. This hotel uses the excuse of short staff and Covid to offer none of the above mentioned services. Therefore, after a one night stay you will have to make your own bed and do your own cleaning. Since there is no price discount, you are punished more the longer you stay. The building is new and clean and the limited staff is very friendly. The breakfast is ample and good, but sterile and not very tasty. Note: none of the advertising for the hotel mentions the lack of room cleaning, and although we were offered to cancel our reservation, that is hard to do after a long drive during the high vacation season.
Blaming Covid, we were told upon arrival and after driving five hours that there will not be cleaning our room during hour five day stay. In the several emails we received from BW reminding us about our reservation, we were never notified that there would be NO housekeeping services during our stay; otherwise, we would've modified our vacation plans accordingly. This has been the worst hotel experience and no way to spend a vacation. As a result, we had to cut short our vacation.
Excellent staff. Very comfortable bed. Room was spacious and clean. Attention to detail could improve (i.e. ensure all lighting works, privacy lock can be engages, and room window is clean. I would recommend this hotel, but I hope they take a little more time to ensure that the guest room is in top shape.
headed off to the finger lakes for R&R and lodged at BW Hammondsport. Great value for the price. Property is on the main road, well maintained and managed and spotless. Conveniently located near the Glenn Curtiss museum and within easy driving distance of Letchworth Falls and all finger lakes destinations. All amenities are functional and easy to access. Beyond me why this property isn't in the Best Western Premier portfolio.
We stayed one night in the hotel after visiting Letchworth State Park. The hotel was clean and in good shape. The room was well maintained except for the bathroom shower which had mold. The staff was freindly and helpful. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. We would recommend the hotel.
BEST hotel experience ever. Better than many resorts or more expensive hotels we have stayed at. The accommodations were “immaculate”. All facilities worked at 100% - the air conditioning was perfect, the water temp easily adjustable. This is what all hotels should emulate. Front office staff – excellent; included breakfast – excellent; restaurant staff – excellent with great attitudes; Room cleanliness was Excellent – great attitude; - Facility was great and the positive / friendly attitude of staff completed the circle – it would be a 4 without staff and an absolute 5 with those employees.
Very nice hotel with a great location to visit the wineries in the Finger Lakes. Although not on the lakes or in town this was a great location for visiting some of our favorite wineries in the Finger Lakes. The room was spacious and extremely clean and staff was courteous and friendly. Internet and phone connection wasn't the best but this is no fault of the hotel. Very nice hot/cold breakfast served in the mornings. The Finger Lakes is one of our favorite destinations and we hadn't been here for the last couple of years due to travel restrictions. So happy to be back and have a great "home base" to tour from. Many thanks to the staff at Best Western Plus for helping to make our return to the area so rewarding!
Great wine, weather and hotel. Many good restaurants and great wineries. Lots of things to do and see. Hammondsport is a beautiful small town located at the bottom (not in) the prettiest of all the Finger Lakes.
The Best Western Hotel Hammondsport, NY is amazing. It's seriously clean, quiet and consistent with Wifi and amenities. It offers an healthy and clean breakfast which is perfect for the start of your day. They really thought of everything as it offers a 24 hour coffee machine and has two gas firepits outside for you not to miss on the mountain/forest feeling that surrounds it. But over all Holly at the front desk and the breakfast crew of Leslie, Beth and Melody make this stay different. They are attentive, kind, professional and will make sure your stay is a success.
My friend and I tagged along with our husbands on an annual golf trip, this year to the Finger Lakes. We stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful. Very comfortable beds, good breakfasts, and the employees were fantastic! Would definitely recommend.
We had a great stay. All the staff are friendly and professional. My family enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel feels so brand new with modern aesthetic. The rooms were also very clean. My family had a late check-in but we had no issues and we even got a free upgrade to suite rooms. We also used the pool which was small and a bit cold with a few towels. But otherwise, we still think it was ok. The hotel was about 20 mins away from town with a walgreens, burger king etc. We chose this hotel since my family was visiting Watkins Glen State Park and it was about 30 minutes drive from the hotel.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was newer and modern looking. Very clean. One of the best free breakfasts Ive had at hotels. Hot and cold breakfast. Very close to downtown Hammondsport and not far from wineries
I woke up in the morning after a night of tossing and turning in uncomfortable bed and worst pillows ever to discover numerous bites on my back and a rash on my stomach. I have never got bed bug bites before so I was really upset. Evacuated early in the morning very upset.
This is an excellent property. Hotel is maintained as new and the staff is particularly friendly and helpful. Everything in our room was in good working order and very clean. Breakfast is excellent with a good range of choices. We will definitely return.
You absolutely Cannot get a breakfast at a restaurant and a hotel room for the price! Breakfast was awesome! Room was clean and orderly. Did I mention the breakfast was seriously awesome? Staff of serious professionals, competent and polite
Best Western in Hammondsport is a great place to stay! Always challenging to find a good place around Keuka Lake, but BW is perfect for those "I just need to hit some wineries and get some lake time" getaways.
This is the second time I stay at the Best Western Plus in Hammondsport, NY. It is a great place with friendly and efficient staff. Perfect! The location is very convenient to visit the Finger Lakes area including small picturesque towns, wineries, natural parks and other attractions.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. They had a great breakfast with a lots of options. The fitness center was clean and had good equipment. Convenient to the wineries and downtown Hammondsport.
If you are venturing around the southern parts of Keuka Lake, this is the perfect spot. It is a new facility that is super clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. It is right on the main road, Route 54, and a short ride to downtown Hammondsport. So close if you are up for a brisk walk it is very easy. Perfect finger lakes, long weekend spot.
The staff at this hotel was the best I have experienced in a long time! They all gave great service with lots of smiles, politeness and energy. The facility was perfectly clean, well appointed and had a great feel to it. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed.
Clean and quiet rooms and front desk staff as well as breakfast staff very committed to their role in serving us and our needs. Breakfast was tasty too. Upon arrival, they allowed us to check in a little early as our room was ready. They repeatedly asked if there was anything else we needed and made sure we were satisfied.
Staff are awesome. Location is great. Everything you get for the price is perfect. Pool and served to order breakfast are such a great addition to the stay. Spacious and clean rooms. No complaints about my stay!
Stayed here for my husbands funeral. Not looking forward to it, but thanks to your compassionate, friendly staff, it made a sad weekend much easier. Staff was so nice to all of our needs and requests. We couldn't ask for a better experience!
We treated our boys to a night at a hotel with a pool! We have a 6,4,an 1 year old and we booked a room with 2 queens because we use a pack and play for the baby. They upgraded us to give us more space for the baby. Everyone was super nice, and the breakfast was real good.
My husband and I stay at the Hammondsport Hotel almost every time we travel in that area. It never disappoints. The hotel is lovely. The staff is kind, cordial and generally wonderful. The breakfast is like breakfast of the pre-Covid days, only they make it up for you and serve it to you. We highly recommend this hotel!
We had a great stay, this hotel is clean, with a very friendly staff and a great value! Great place to stay when visiting all the wineries, distilleries and breweries around Keuka Lake. The Breakfast staff was awesome, served our breakfast hot, quick and with a smile!! We will be back for a weekend in March!!
We were only in town for one day, stayed one night and headed home in the morning - so we didn't have a lot of requirements for a hotel - just a place to sleep and maybe shower. Cleanliness of a hotel is tremendously important to me, and this place exceeded my expectations. All parts of the room were extremely clean, including the bathroom (which I am most picky about). The bed was comfy, the TV worked just fine, and the breakfast was excellent. Many more breakfast options than I've seen even at more expensive hotels. Our stay was short but very good! We will definitely consider staying again if/when we return to the area.
My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in November while visiting Finger Lakes. Hotel is spotless. Was built in 2016 and they have kept it looking brand new. Our room had a king bed and couch..very comfortable and clean and i'm stickler when it comes to rooms. The breakfast area in the morning was also very clean. They did ask and provide gloves to wear when serving yourself, which everyone I saw was complying with. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, potato wedges, sweet potato wedges, breads, muffins, waffles, yogurt etc. Hotel was priced right for us at $98 for a Saturday night. I imagine rates are higher in the in-season months, but I would definitely stay here again.Show less
The price of the hotel was super. The whole facility was clean and very nice. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. We would stay here again. Great location for all of the activities we like to do in the area
Travelled for one night, super clean, helpful desk, great breakfast, numerous gluten free options (udi's bagel, eggs both hard boiled and scrambled), we will definitely return highly recommend Covid protocols in place and observed
What a great hotel! We arrived late after a long drive and quickly got our rooms. The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable! Breakfast was hot and good. Many options for all. Loved the Pumpkin waffles. Melody and Beth were there to help us at all times. They truly made our breakfast a pleasure. This hotel was located near Keuka Lake. We enjoyed the wineries near the lake and they were only a few minutes drive. When we arrived, we were given a coupon for the brewery next door. Good beer selection and an easy walk back to our room. Karen, at the front desk, took time to show us maps and give us information. It was so nice to talk to her and she gave us many ideas. The hotel is in a great location to visit some of the state parks. It took us about an hour to drive to Letchworth State Park ( Grand Canyon of the East) and 30 minutes to get to Watkins Glen. The hotel has fire pits outside to add to a wonderful stay. It was so nice to see people who took pride in their work and worked hard to make our trip a great one. We would definitely come back to this hotel!!
Hotel is very clean. Melody and Beth do an excellent job manning the free breakfast bar. The rest of staff was courteous and helpful in making recommendations for restaurants. About an hour away from Letchworth State Park a must visit in addition to nearby wineries. Highly recommend.
Last 25 years my wife and I have stayed exclusiel at Marrriott properies (10-12 nights per year) where we ALWAYS experience excellent service and facilities. Heitatntly, we stayed at The Hammondsport Hotel, a Best Western Plus. From adjusting reservations over the phone (thank you, Holly, especially for "highest floor, away from ice machine") to check-in through check-out three days later everything was wonderful (except maybe slightly un-coopertive wifi). Full disclosure: 1. property was very new and in excellent condition 2. I did not ask for wifi assitance...possible "user fault?" All in all a very enjoyable stay.
This is a very lovely and clean hotel. Excellent staff, wonderful breakfast including hot items. Friendly help when needed. Comfortable bed and room! Would definitely stay here again. Nice to have refrigerator and microwave in room. Close to town.
We stayed a couple of nights here. The hotel is nice, new and clean. We were greeted when we came in and also were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The person at the front desk recommended a couple of restaurants to eat at. We tried one of them the first night we were there and it did not disappoint. The front desk was very helpful. The staff lady taking care of the breakfast area was also great. She was constantly cleaning tables and answering questions. The hotel is right next to the finger lakes brewing company and even gave us a coupon of buy one flight of beers and get one free. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to take advantage of it. The only negative was the last night whoever was above us sounded like they were running a lot. Late at night and early in the morning we heard the pounding of feet, in fact it was so loud it woke me up in the morning. morning. Despite this I would still come back and stay at this hotel again. The location is perfect for exploring Keuka lake, which we liked even more than Seneca lake (stayed there last year)
We loved the location, cleanliness of the room, extra attention to the breakfast area, and even the decor. (We even remarked on the framed photographs in the halls and in the room). We'd stay again but sadly due to no fault of the staff of course we could hear entire conversations in the rooms on either side of us. A crying child made it a bit worse on the last day.
This hotel was very clean & Covid friendly!!! The front desk staff suggested great places to visit to the point that we even brought them back mozzarella sticks they recommended. & we want to shout out to Beth in the breakfast room!!! Super hard worker!!
Excellent staff. Beautifufl surrounddings. Very nice breakfast. Nice location to lake. Very clean rooms. We really enjoyed our stay. Best in the area. Nice distance to lake. Weather was very nice. Thanks much!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean, quiet and modern room with a very comfortable bed and soft sheets. This Best Western in a great location, close to town, wineries and breweries. Very good breakfast included.
We stayed for 3 days in July. We had never been to this area before so we wasn't sure what to expect. It was amazing. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean. Very accommodating. The breakfast was good every morning. From the hotel, you can walk over to the little brewery next door or walk across the street for ice cream or down the street to the Curtiss aviation and motorcycle museum. It is about a 1 mile walk to down town Hammondsport. Every person or place we went was very nice. The hotel has a washer and dryer which we had to use after we went to Watkins Glen State Park. They allowed us to park the bike under awning. The Corning museum was a nice place to visit, it took us about 2 hours and didn't see everything. When we come back we will stay at this hotel again.
This is a new hotel. Appointments quite nice. Staff I met very polite and helpful. My issue is something that perhaps the industry has no answer given today's technology. That said don't say something and not follow up on it. I could not connect to the internet. Took my computer to the front desk where a very polite lady attempted to assist me with no positive results. She called her tech back up who could not immediately make a connection and suggested I go to my room where he would call me to go into greater detail and hopefully secure me a connection. Well that never happened. I do understand that statistically these failures are exceptions but come on when you are paying $250 a night do you deserve a call back? Oh yeah, one other question I have for the senior team is for the above price do you think you could place one bar of soap in the shower with one on the vanity rather than one fir both as is the case? I know all the arguments about protecting the environment but I can give you( $)250 why I want 2 bars of soap and don't have to ask the front desk for it.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Sam, at the front desk, was so sweet and kind. Our favorite part was breakfast thanks to Mary. She was so thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed. Our daughter is gluten-free and Mary made sure she had a gluten-free bagel waiting for her every morning. The room was large and gave us plenty of space. The gym was small, but had the equipment we needed to get a quick workout in each day. The fire pits outside were a great touch! This location has a small brewery right next door which is perfect! We walked over every evening to play corn hole and have a drink. I highly recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed!
We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located for us to enjoy wine country and attend the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. The hotel staff were wonderful, the rooms were well appointed and compared to many other hotels it was a good value for a nice hotel.
Enjoyed our stay at Best Western, Staff were very professional and friendly. Suite was very clean. Felt safe and secure during current pandemic. Mattress was very firm. Timed breakfast was available. Would stay again.
Great hotel. Clean spacious rooms & great staff. Have stayed there before and the hotel is just as good as I remembered. Very well located near town & good distance from other points of interest. Will definitely stay there again.
This really was a wonderful hotel to stay at. At check-in, the two ladies at the front desk happily greeted my family and answered all of our questions. Our room was clean and spotless, beds were comfortable. The rest of the hotel was extremely clean as well. Breakfast was a pretty good spread with many choices (waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bagels, yogurts, juices, tea, coffee) and the attendants were helpful and continuously cleaning the tables in between parties. The pool was somewhat small but it was fine for my kids. The pool area was also clean and spotless. The only bummer was that the last three days of our stay the pool was closed for maintenance. Big shout out to Sam who worked the front desk in the evenings/nights. She greeted us every time we came in the lobby, always asked if we needed anything, and quickly brought anything we needed to the room. She also offered us a later check out time if we wanted to use the pool since maintenance was finished. I highly recommend this hotel!
You will be spoiled at this Best Western Plus in Hammondsport NY! I cant say enough how CLEAN our bathroom was!!! the shower looked brand new!! All the hotel attendants were so helpful and friendly. Highly recomend. Im so happy we chose this hotel!
Very clean room and friendly staff. Beds are Extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good and the fire pits out back are a really nice way to relax after a full day out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent accommodation's!! Very nice hotel, great local history represented in their choice of décor. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, a must to stay here. Quick and easy reservations and check out!!
The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room were very friendly, cheerful and helpful! The breakfast buffet offered quite a variety and was delicious! Lovely property, clean and great location! Will return!
We had a great 4th of July in Hammondsport. The Best Western is walking distance to the downtown restaurants and boat rentals. It's a great location for touring the wineries and the surrounding lakes. Watkins Glen State Park is about a half hour away.
Have stayed here on four occasions. New property, staff receptive and friendly, any issues or concerns are taken care of immediately. Great location, you can walk to Hammondsport village, a half hour to Penn Yan or Watkins Glen.
This BW is located on the road into Hammondsport. We found it to be a convenient location. Check in was very easy and the front desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. Due to COVID precautions, there was no buffet breakfast but we were able to order our breakfast the day before and then pick it up at a specified time. We had a room next to a somewhat noisy elevator and there were times that we could hear it, but it didn't seem to be a problem when we were sleeping. I would definitely recommend.
Great hotel for visiting Hammondsport. The staff was superb, especially Sam, who helped check us in and take our breakfast order. Breakfast was by order instead of buffet due to C19. The building is new and across the street from the Glenn Curtis Museum. The Hammondsport downtown/lake is nearby also. We visited the lake and wineries the one day, and the the Curtis museum the second. When we were checking in with two kids and ourselves, the front desk let us know that King rooms can only be used for two people, but upgraded us without asking to a suite, which was very nice. The front desk, especially Sam (I believe) was excellent.
Very convenient place to stay for attractions around Keuka Lake. The hotel is very clean and front desk staff friendly and welcoming. Ordering breakfast the night before worked out well. The person working the breakfast area was very busy but had a smile the whole time.
The Hammondsport BW is a fairly new hotel (5 yo) located on state route 54 just past the Glenn Curtiss Museum and just before the village of Hammondsport. The hotel and grounds were well maintained with a very inviting appearance. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Guest room and all public spaces were very clean. Hot breakfast was available but you have to order it the night before and reserve a time for pickup. Two gas firepits on the south side of the hotel are a nice place to relax in the evening. The state highway is fairly busy at times with some truck traffic. If you are a light sleeper you may want to request a room in the back of the hotel on 2nd or 3rd floor (odd numbered rooms). Overall our experience was excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a stay in the Hammondsport area.
My title really does say it all. I chose this hotel based on other user reviews and I was not disappointed. The room was nice and clean. The location was easy to find and less than 5 minutes away from the town of Hammondsport. I had a nice meal up the road and only regret not having time to try the creamery across the street. If I was looking for a hotel in this area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The hotel is spotless. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Assisted with finding a restaurant for my husband's birthday. Even though my daughter's college is an hour away, we always stay here. Consistently clean. The rooms are roomy, towels and bedding lovely.
Awesome place to stay for wine touring. I t was close to many wineries on the finger lakes. Short drive form major highways. The procedure for serving breakfast was awesome, assigned times, made to order from a planned menu. It was hot and delicious everyday we were there. Great place. Ice cream stand down the street was good too!
We were visiting wineries on Keuka Lake and this was the perfect location for this side of the lake. When we checked in, we were greeted by Sam and Bri who were super helpful throughout the duration of our stay. They both suggested a local restaurant that had free delivery to the hotel and the food was soooo good. They were both helpful in making sure we got our breakfast orders in and were able to point us in the direction of other things we needed. Our second morning, they both even remembered that it was my partner's birthday. The room and the hotel lobby were very clean and this hotel's location is just minutes from everything. We are already planning our next trip to Keuka Lake and are planning on staying here again.
This hotel is new, clean, and has great staff!! There is a beautiful view from the front of the hotel. There is also a local brewery and winery right next door. The pool area was clean and so much fun!
A great value for the benefits received! Hot breakfast served based off your choice from many options. Great service during my stay and the room was clean and very comfortable! Recommend this location if in the area for a great stay without hassles.
I grew up in Hammondsport, and it was really nice to stay in a hotel that felt so upscale, but for a reasonable rate! The beds were super comfortable, it was quiet, and really nice. The pool is kind of small but we had it all to ourselves so it was just right. Breakfast was really good!! I'll definitely stay here again in the future!
The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. The rooms and lobby are clean, and the price is very affordable. Overall, I did not have one single less than excellent thing to say about this location.
Probably the best Best Western i stayed at. The team there provide great service, from the front desk to the lady who prepared breakfast every morning. I did had a minor hiccup, keycard got deactivated twice, even though my phone and the cards are in different pockets the entire time. Also the guest above me probably had a kid waking up around 6:30 in the morning, running and stomping for about an hour., but that's out of the hotel's control, and totally understand it can be hard to tell a kid to stop.
Last-minute trip to the Finger Lakes so we made a reservation at BW + in Hammondsport. Note it is kind of far away from everything (Bath is the nearest "city"). It seems relatively new. We were among the few who stayed that night. Check in was quick and easy, and our room on the 3rd floor was large and nice. The bed was comfortable. Please get the coffee maker OUT of the bathroom. That's just gross. Why do hotels do this. There is a counter outside the bathroom that has a microwave above and fridge underneath. Perfect spot for the coffee maker and I would have moved it myself if an outlet was there for easy access. The shampoo and soap provided smelled great. Odd there were no usb ports in the room. High ceiling made it feel larger. Don't think the window opens; we wish it did. Due to the Covid plague, you have to order breakfast the night before. It was very good though with a lot of options. We had eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. Better than expected. Nice place and I'd stay here again. It is near a convenience store, gas station, and brewery. Curtis museum close by. We ventured out to Keuka Lake one day, and then before heading back to NJ, went over to Seneca Lake.
We had a very pleasant experience at this Best Western. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and kind. They provided great service and all their COVID 19 policy gave us a sense of safety during our stay.
The southern end of Keuka Lake has the hills and vistas. Accomodations are few and infrequent. I have aged enough to desire an elevator, an to request a handicap accessible room. Covid 19 has affected the ways in which business is conducted. No longer can I pour my morning coffee into my travel mug. The staff graciously pours coffee for me. They also prepare a breakfast for me to enjoy in the room. This time, we has a small suite with a sitting area. There was more than enough space. The room and bathroom were clean and properly equipped. From here we can tour and travel. Wineries, a fish hatchery, the Curtiss Museum, and restaurants are nearby. The town of Hammondsport is quiet and walkable. It is a nice place to enjoy a few stress-free days.
Stayed at hotel in past and was haooy. This time paid much more per night and had less amenities due to COVID. My wife loves to use pool and unfortunately wasn't open. Never saw that spelled out on reservation or would have booked a cheaper hotel in area.
the hotel looks or is brand new! It's clean, beautiful, there are firepits, yummy breakfast, HBO, nice staff, super close to all! ( literally perfect spot!) The pool was closed due to covid, and you need an appointment to use the gym which is no big deal. Another covid detail you pre order breakfast and go get it in the morning at a designated time. It was packed up on a tray, hot coffee, really sweet helpful staff. Always a pleasure staying at a BWP. I'm a fan
Really spacious rooms, great service, everything is extremely clean and adheres to safety standards. Comfortable beds & couch. Very close to the center of town. Included free breakfast was quite delicious and individually prepared for pick up at scheduled time.
Hammondsport is a lovely community in a lovely area of New York. The Hotel staff was amazing. Everyone followed CDC guidelines. Rooms were sanitized and sealed. Social distancing and masks were observed. Breakfasts were arranged by specific time slots. We felt very, very safe!!!!!
We were very pleased with this stay as the rooms were sanitized ,very clean and well stocked..Covid 19 rules were strictly enforced through out the facility and we felt safe, The staff at all levels were great-friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The location was not in town but convenient foe sightseeing and touring of all four lakes. We would definitely stay again.
The hotel was very clean and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The staff who served our take out breakfast did a fabulous job under new and different circumstances. We felt very comfortable staying there and would definitely return.
Went to Hammondsport for an anniversary weekend. Had stayed here before and knew we would stay here again. Last time we could only visit the Curtiss Museum so we knew this time we would do some wineries and restaurants. The weather was perfect, the wineries were delectable and the restaurants were great. Even with the COVID restrictions we had breakfast every morning - picked it up instead of gathering at the breakfast area. Slight mishap when my husband spilled the OJ and coffee off the breakfast tray - the staff response was immediate and the clean up quick and efficient. The entire staff was friendly, professional and capable. We had a disability room which for us was a lifesaver - right off the lobby and quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This is an excellent hotel, great staff, great service, super clean. I would return and highly recommend. Fire pits outside, nice breakfast served. The rooms are beautiful, clean and disinfected before customer arrival.
stayed for a week. Not many options unless a b and b is used. Have a good hot breakfast. Biggest problem was issue with cleanliness and front desk manager. We found long black hairs on two towels. (where is covid cleaning) We have gray and blond short hair, obvious not ours. Went to front desk manager and told her. Response was well what do you want me to do about it. Our reply was "they aren't ours". Reply from manager was " Well they are not mine either". What!!!!. Totally unprofessional response. That is a shame as its the best national hotel around or so it appears.
From the proximity to the downtown to the walkable brewery next door to the amazing morning staff that served our breakfast fresh this is the budget friendly place to stay. The pool is not useable at present but in this area you want to be out and about. It is about 12 min from the amazing winery Dr Konstantin Frank Winery which is AMAZING! Make sure to stay here you'll be glad you did. I def will if I ever return to this area.
Highly recommend!! Staff was wonderful!! Hotel itself is very modern, beautifully decorated, cozy and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Well worth the $99/night cost!! Warm cookies and coffee at any time. Within walking distance to the downtown area. Would absolutely stay again.
Breakfast excellent, rooms very clean and nice, service was very friendly, Check in staff and Check staff excellent and very friendly! Hotel excellent location for visiting The Glenn Curtis Museum, and wineries on Keuka Lake.
Best Western has become our favorite. Location Was perfect and our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The free breakfast was very good and the homemade muffins were oh so good. The staff who managed the buffet were attentive and very friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The front desk staff provided travel guides, recommendations about the best wineries and restaurants in the area. Outgoing and friendly staff made our anniversary stay almost perfect in this beautiful Finger lakes area.
We had a get together in Hammondsport and stayed at the Best Western. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpfull and freindly. Very close to the quaint town of Hammondsport with nice shops and places to eat. We were there in the winter and plan on going back in the summer.
After being on the road for several months, I found this gem and stayed for several nights. WOW, I am so glad that I booked it! Can I just say what a relief it was to find this type of property? Everything from the staff, to the breakfast, to the sheets, to the quietness, to the high ceilings! I LOVED MY STAY. This is what EVERY hotel should aspire to be like! And it is so close to the adorable Hammondsport village; the gas station and winery next door was a plus too! Clean, quiet, comfortable, a great breakfast, comfortable beds, and well appointed suites! I cannot praise this property and its staff enough for what a wonderful job they do. I loved my bed and was kind of sad to leave it and head home (seriously, I was). The sheets were soft. The linens and towels were so cozy. The toiletries were high quality. My room had EVERYTHING I needed and all the extra things I forgot back home. The closed captioned worked well on the tv as well (which I appreciated). I did not get a chance to try the pool or the gym, but I checked them both out and they looked inviting! The front desk ladies were incredibly helpful, kind, and accommodating. I would love to stay here again! *BE PATIENT with the hot water! :-)
Check in was very quick and easy. The pool was wonderful. The room was very nice. We took the grandchildren to stay and everything was great. We only live 3 miles away, but we make it a yearly trip. Will do it again next year.
I have nothing but great reviews. The staff, rooms and property were all outstanding. The hotel is very easy to find as it is right off of the Keuka Lake area. It is right next door to the down town area wgich is convenient for a bite to eat.
Hotel only a few years old. Service is excellent and the breakfast is provided by one of the nicest people I have ever meant. The place to stay in Hammondsport, NY Convenient location when arriving, ample parking and great staff. We will return.
Just the friendliest and helpful staff you can find. We have been staying here for 3 years since they opened and the facilities still seem brand new and the staff is amazing. Also they have a great gym and pool! As well the breakfast is great with make your own waffles. Just cannot recommend those location enough.
Great hotel. Amazing staff. Close to town. The room was clean and large. The breakfast was really good and the staff very attentive. Would definitely stay there again. And did I say the staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant stay. Satisfied on all fronts, super clean, super efficient and caring staff, room was excellent and comfortable, wi fi service above expectations. Breakfast service was the best of all - good spread, fresh and hot food, staff to help. Staff was very outgoing to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We are definitely coming back.
We love staying at the Best Western in Hammondsport when we go home to Bath, NY to visit our family. It is right next door to a great brewery, and perfectly situated for us to visit other finger lakes attractions. We always have the best service from the desk staff and appreciate the selection of breakfast options.
This is a gem of a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our get-away trip to the Best Western Plus at Hammondsport, NY. The hotel is impeccable and the breakfast is excellent. This our second stay at this property in 2019. We will be certain to return again.
This is a modern hotel. They even have an EV hookup. Checking in, you will first notice the front desk staff who are super accommodating and helpful. They asked us what floor we wanted to stay on and went out of their way looking to see if we were already enrolled in their Best Western Rewards program. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again any day.
The Best Western Hammondsport, NY Hotel had Excellent service clean, nice decor Hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and it was perfect to be able to prepare for my business presentation.
I was visiting the Finger Lakes for the first time, and came across this Best Western Plus. This hotel is the best location to nearby attractions, the staff are fantastic!, and it has everything you need for a great stay. I am staying in a king room. Plenty of room for one person. I went on a hike yesterday, and I was able to wash my clothes. The room has a microwave, thus I was able to warm up my leftovers. The fresh baked cookies were a great afternoon snack. (I was not expecting them at all!) I have enjoyed my stay so much, that I have booked for a future stay. Clean room, friendly staff, and great location... I could not ask for a better hotel stay. I felt like this was my home away from home.
While visiting the Finger Lakes, we had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite and have never had a room so large and luxurious. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room had all the amenities you would need. I really enjoyed the view of the woods across the street, so beautiful with autumn color. The included breakfast was really terrific and plentiful, which is so important and very much appreciated. The only thing missing was the cookies that were supposed to be in the lobby in the afternoon - apparently, we got there too late! I hope to taste them next time, for we would definitely stay at this hotel again if in this area in the future. I highly recommend this hotel.
Enjoyed out two night stay. Having a very satisfying breakfast in the lobby starts the day out great! Breakfast staff was very helpful keeping all areas clean. Staff was constantly making waffles so we did not have to wait! Will visit again!
The location is nice, close to the town, the lakes and the Glenn Curtiss museum. The room was quite big and very clean. the view overlooked the hills and trees. It was very quiet when we stayed. At breakfast there was a lady in attendance who made sure we had everything we needed. She provided excellent customer service that we could see.
Very nice accommodations and service. At first sight, we thought we were on a lonely road away from civilization. However, located minutes from downtown and wine trail. Nice quite location with a brewery right next door. Short drive to Corning, Watkins Glen and right off Lake Keuka.
This hotel is a fairly new one that is well maintained and very clean. A lot of TLC apparent here. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic, with a large selection of food and even homemade pastries (yummy). The rooms are larger than most comparable hotels we stay at, with comfortable beds and pillows. The indoor pool and the exercise room is well maintained. Hammondsport is a quaint little town with a few small but very good restaurants. There are a lot of great wineries close by.
This hotel is on the outskirts of Hammondsport. Our room was a suite with a king bed (room 208) and a semi-private living area. There was also a sink/bar area, which was nice. The room also had a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a nice pool area - only thing that is missing is a hot tub. Fresh hot chocolate chip cookies are served every afternoon. There is a great big container (heated) of them in the dining area off the lobby.! They were SO good! The complimentary breakfast was really one of the nicest ones we have experienced. First - let me say that the 2 days we were there - the ladies who took care of the dining area were not only great about having everything stocked full, but they also came around & talked to everyone and made sure they had all they needed. Nice interaction! And smiles too!! Kudos to those ladies! The hot breakfast items were things like eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, then there were cereals, juices, coffee, fruit, breads, muffins...all SO good and plentiful. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was really informative and friendly too. We would definitely come back to this hotel for any future visits to the Hammondsport area.
Best Western Hammondport NY is definitely one of BW beauty on route 54 just off 86. If you are Traveling near this wine country area on the border of PA and NY this hotel offers you a lovely stay. Well worth staying here
We will always choose this hotel when we visit the Finger Lakes area. We have had only the best experience here in Hammondsport. From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was awesome and there are always beverages/ cookies available. The facility and rooms are very clean. This place is a gem!
This Best Western Plus is the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed at. The staff were great and the breakfast was really good with a wide selection of food. The location for being a leaf peeper is good too. You can reach all of the great wineries and do a lot of things with just a short drive,
The room and breakfast were excellent. It was nice to be able to get coffee anytime we wanted. The staff was very pleasant. This hotel is very conveniently located near most of the wineries and several other local attractions in the Hammondsport area. They have a large free parking area.
Great hotel! Only staying one night, the 5 of us were extremely happy with the service, amenities and location. We enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire pits at the end of our travel day then going into a nice clean room with very comfy beds! Thank-you to all of the staff who made our stay so nice we decided to come back next year for a week!
This hotel is in a great location just outside downtown Hammondsport. The rooms are spotless. We were upgraded to a suite which gave 3 adults a bit more room with a small sofa and sitting area. The breakfast was great with a delightful woman who oversaw it all making sure everything was plentiful and warm. There was coffee available all day and warm chocolate chip cookies in the evenings. There is a brewery right next door so if you get thirsty for a beer in the evening you could just walk over.
Loved our time in Hammondsport, made more comfortable and convenient by our stay at the Best Western. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, breakfast was fantastic, and there's a fire pit! Great wineries, great restaurants, beautiful scenery. We went during the week and avoided the crowds. Highly recommend a visit.
This is a newer hotel so all furnishings are quite up to date. The hotel has a sprinkler system and smoke alarms for safety. The staff was very friendly and upgraded our room since we are Platinum card holders which was much appreciated after a very long day exploring the Finger Lakes. We also received a restaurant recommendation which they said would be the only one open after our arrival. There was also hot cookies when we arrived and they had 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Our room was spotless. There was no scenic view as the hotel is away from Hammondsport but was quiet and peaceful even though it was along a highway. Our bath was full of fluffy towels and the vanity was large enough to accommodate the utmost high maintenance woman. The tub was a little bit of a step up into but there was a grab bar there for those of us not six feet tall. We found a number of plugs on the desk to service our electronics and a nice selection of TV channels. The WiFi worked perfectly. There were fire pits outside to sit around in the evening for a relaxing conversation or a marshmallow roast. There was plenty of parking and a large pet exercise area as the hotel is pet friendly. Breakfast was as expected at a Best Western Plus with plenty of choices hot and cold and a nice seating area. The pool and gym looked nice but we did not use them in our two day stay here.
From the moment I checked in until I left just a wonderful experience. Hotel seems new and the rooms and amenities were just wonderful. Quiet nights and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was hot and had some extras such as blueberries for the waffles and a vanilla cream sauce!
My husband and I travel to Hammondsport twice a year. Since they built this hotel it is our go to place. From the time we check in to the time we check out we have a wonderful experience. The rooms are the cleanest I've ever seen. The breakfast is exceptional! All the staff are so friendly and helpful. After a long day on the wine trails it is so nice to walk in to the hotel and smell fresh baked cookies! They are delicious! Thank you all for making our stay so pleasant!
Nice location for the things we were there for. Hammondsport is a nice little town. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet. Nice variety of breakfast food included with the room rate. Employees were very friendly and helpful
So many options for places to stay in Hammondsport NY we decided to give the Best Western Plus a try as it is only 4 years old. What a great surprise from the moment we pulled into the hotel. The outside of the hotel is beautiful from the stone work to the outdoor fire pits that greet you along the side of the hotel. You step inside the lobby to a very modern, clean, eye applealing spot that makes you want to hang out in the lobby. The furnishing are very comfortable and trendy with different groupings for guests to gather. Very friendly welcoming staff which reviews with you some of the great amenities the hotel has to offer. Besides the indoor pool, fitness center and great lobby area, they offer warm chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies in a self serve warmer. You get to your room which is fresh and welcoming. The decor is very nice and the sitting area with the couch and mulitiple chairs offer a great additional space to unwind. A refrigerator, bar area and lots of storage spots for luggage and other things. The king bed was extremely comfortable with 4 bed pillows and thin multiple layers for blankets. No heavy polyester comforters here. Room was large and very comfortable with a desk, great swivel chair and large TV. Only a 3 minute drive into town but nice to stay outside of the bustling town to a quieter location. It is walkable into town if you prefer. Probably 10-15 minutes. We had a large group of friends who some stayed in town and others out of town. We loved the outdoor fire pits that offered a great way to enjoy the outdoors on a beautiful warm evening to gather without disturbing any guests.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was spacious for us and our 2 daughters. The pool was small, but we were the only ones in it, so plenty big for just us! The fire pits outside our room were so nice and relaxing after a long day. But most importantly was the staff and their attention to detail. Everything was so personal and you don't get that much anymore - a welcomed treat! The 2 ladies in the breakfast area were so nice, attentive and helpful. One of them even bakes the muffins fresh each morning and had made fresh Frittata's to offer a different treat! The front desk staff was so nice and accommodating. But Deanna in house keeping - she made our daughters days when we returned from our long days of travel. She "tucked in" their stuffed animals and arranged them to be "playing". So personal and cute! Thank you to all!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We used the microwave and refrigerator, which worked fine. A little strange having the coffee maker in the bathroom. Also, the room coffee was pretty weak compared to the hotel breakfast coffee. This hotel is located not far from many wineries and dining options and a half hour from the Corning Museum of Glass.
We have visited the Finger Lakes a few times. This year we decided to enjoy the lakes with a couple of really good friends. I decided to book this spot because of location, but that was the least of it. This place gets top billing from us. The check-in process was great, the reception was fabulous, and the staff serving up the free breakfast was super friendly and enjoyable. All the flukes here made our stay truly a memorable one. We will definitely be staying here again in the very near future.
First time to Hammondsport N. Y. used BWPH as our base camp to enjoy wine country.Easy to get to a quarter of a mile to the most relaxed town village as you could wish for, 5 restaurants and bars some shopping a walk around town and kissed by lake Keuka lake. BWPH your place is new, clean continental Breakfast above average. I will be a returning guest.
I had trouble booking my room on the internet with a "state Government" rate, so I went into the lobby and the woman at the desk looked up my account and booked it for me. That was very nice of her to do that. The room was spotless clean. Overlooking the mountains, the Sunset and Sunrise were spectacular. At night they had the fire pits going and it was nice to sit around them. The breakfast had a lot of hot and cold items, and Whole Milk; something you don't find in too many places. It is located about five minutes from Downtown Hammondsport. A beautiful and quiet location!
Clean comfortable rooms...large selection of fresh foods at breakfast..easy access to wineries, restaurants etc. ....staff very courteous friendly and efficient ..they gave suggestions on things to see and do in area...they told us about the Indian tradition of "lighting the lake (keuka) and it was a spectacular site to witness...loved the fire pit at nite as well...highly recommend this hotel!
Great hotel, in a great location. Easy dive to a number of wineries nearby, the town of Hammondsport, kayaking, biking. Love sitting by the fire pits at night. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful about amenities in area.
The staff was excellent. Breakfast was fresh, the serving staff was helpful. The Manager was playful with kids and even served waffles. Will definitely come back and stay at this property. Front desk was knowledgeable and was helpful
Hotel and rooms clean and comfortable. Fire pits outside for extra socializing. No hot tub in pool area so we didn't use, but looked clean. Breakfast was one of the better comp breakfasts we have been to, the ladies working the area were wonderful and kept everything well stocked. The location is just outside of the town of Hammondsport, We hoped that we could walk to some things in the area but there really isn't a good, safe way to do that. Currtis Museum is just down the road too.
Spent 3 nites in this fabulous hote . Close to Keuka lake and within 25-30 minutes of several key waterfalls. EXTREMELY Clean rooms , great front desk and fabulous breakfast from cereal to eggs potatoes waffles and sausage .Dont miss this hotel it is Great
Front desk help was great.not a lot of noise and very clean we thought enjoyed our stay and kept booking extra nights.it was close to everything the beds could be softer but you don't hear a lot of noise.i don't mind paying more to stay in nice hotel .We had a great time
Nice hotel near watkins glen NY and corning museum of glass. Large room with king bed, hot breakfast items in the morning, pillows were somewhat small and expanded overnight, needed larger pillows for a large bed
Hammonsport is cute little town on Lake Keuka. The hotel was a great location to local wineries and activities on the lake. However, it was a little further away from sight-seeing locations on Seneca or Cayuga lakes. The service was excellent and I would recommend staying on your visit to the Finger Lakes region!
Loved our stay here. Arrived late and was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. If your not a BW rewards member become one for such occasional perks. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as were everyone at this hotel. The pool was great after a long day started with a very good breakfast. The location is perfectly situated just a minute outside the perfect little town of Hammondsport. This area proved to be an excellent base camp for the Finger lakes area. An as advertised hotel and more.
Cut from the same cloth as the Hilton Hampton Inn and Marriott courtyards, and very similar looking. The staff was delightful, the accommodations were spacious, clean, and affordable. Probably at the limits of walking distance from downtown, although we are walkers so it was not a big deal. It's not quaint, but it's very nice and far from a dump. The manager was sensational and was very helpful with directions.
This property is just a little over 3 years old, so things are still somewhat new. Great, convenient location and Hammondsport is only a minute or two drive away. If you were a serious walker, the property is within walking distance to it. Very comfortable, cleab and quiet room. Daily housekeeping service, or if you choose not to have your room made up, you'll get 500 rewards points when you don't. Bathroom is very spacious. Great TV reception. Free, hot breakfast included in room rate, and there's a variety of options available to pick from. Please note that bacon is only provided on the weekends, and sausage during the week. I would highly recommend this hotel!
This hotel is beautifully decorated and welcoming. My children and I were here on vacation and loved the close proximity of things. Ice machine, refreshments and laundry room on the same floor as our room. The staff was always so happy and polite. If I ever revisit that area again, I would definitely go back.
We always stay in Hammondsport when we tour the Keuka Lake wineries. Thrilled to find out there was a new hotel. Room very spacious, clean and well equipped. Bedding was very good but bath towels could be a little heftier. Breakfast was fairly standard but good. Attractive lobby. Nice firepit outside. Indoor pool is minuscule. Only suitable for kids taking a dunk.
This is a very nice hotel located just minutes outside of Hammondsport. The room was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was very good, I believe some of the items were homemade. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good parking lot convenient to all doors.
Couldn't find a thing to question or complain about. The rooms were spotless, and the beds extremely comfortable. Best Western has the best beds in the business. Breakfast was filled with choices including two types of waffles. Couldn't be happier.
The BW Hammondsport Hotel is the best experience you wil have in the Finger Lakes. A clean, well staffed full service hotel. The hotel is ideally located for local events in Hammondsport, very accesible to Penn Yan, Bath, Branchport. Other lakes are also within travelling distance of the other finger lakes. There are many outstanding wineries, distilleries and breweries.
Stayed 3 nights for a mini-vacation. Hotel is relatively new and in excellent condition. Room was extremely pleasant, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. Would definitely stay at the Hammondsport Best Western again.
Great place to stay in the Finger Lakes. Excellent rooms, very good breakfast and hospitality. WE were given an upgrade to a king suite. Great but if you are a light sleeper, stay with the rooms in back. There are some morning trucks going by out front.
Pluses outweigh the minuses. Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice lap pool and gym, excellent breakfast included. On the negative side the feng shui of our room was out of wack. The TV was on the side of our bed. Not good for watching TV in bed. In spite of that, I would still recommend it when visiting the area. But as a footnote, some charging stations would be helpful.
Beatiful, new facility. Very well located and extremely well run. Comfortable bed and huge free breakfast selection. First time ever to stay iin a Best Western Hotel, and it was quite a pleasant surprise. Will definitely return, and possibly for pleasure next time.
We are stayed here for one night. Hotel is fairly new and well maintained. Our room was very large with a sitting area. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed our visit in Hammondsport and would highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed one night but was very nice and had a good time at the pool. Rooms were very clean, staff was very helpful. Plenty of parking, good hot/cold breakfast, nice clean pool. The desk clerk was very helpful yet professional and really nice to our grandchildren. Would highly recommend this hotel. Received a better deal on the hotels website than going to other online websites.
clean, fun breakfast, pool, weight room, helpful, was a pleasure to leave a small tip for housekeeping, room was clean.walking distance to glenn curtiss museum, ice cream. and home made beer and root beer. 2 miles from the village and the lake AND WONDERFUL FOOD, italian, pizza, burgers, lots of choices
Spent one night here after touring the Hammondsport area. Great customer service. I would especially like to point out Melody, the Breakfast Supervisor. She was friendly, helpful, and kept every item filled even through the end. You have to try her homemade chocolate chip muffins as well as her banana bread. They were both to die for!
First: I forgot my watch in the room and after having driven an hour I became aware of it and I returned. I barely entered the spacious reception lobby and the reception employee had it already in her hands to give it to me. I am spending many nights in hotels and this was perfect! On breakfast, which is a simple buffet[1], but fresh and tasty, a wonderful employee acted as amazing ambassador for your brand and for the hotel by telling me how wonderful the region is and what can be seen here. Top notch! (Her name began with an L and has 6 letters, in case the owner of the hotel sees this!, and it was the morning of June 9th). My partner and I were positively impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel room, and the vast space! I marked this hotel on my list so I have now a very good address for my bext stay in this area! I wish hotels in the US were all like this. One little downside, but this is not the hotel's fault: The beer brewery next to it closes at 8pm. Downtown Hammondsport is a 15-20 minutes walk away, the sidewalk begins 200 yards after the traffic signal controlled crossing. Notable points there are the village tavern and the Union Block Italian Bistro. [1] Sadly it has become common in the US that using plastic plates and cutlery was the way to go in many hotels. It removes value from a good breakfast in my view but I will not put this against this hotel. It is the standard in this country. The quality of offered food was very good.
We made arrangements to stay here and I have to say was one of the best hotel experiences. Breakfast was great they even had home made baked goods. The front desk staff was also great. Check in was easy and simple and so was check out.
This is a newer hotel with very modern amenities. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel is only about a mile from the restaurant and downtown areas of Hammondsport, so it is very convenient. The breakfast area is well-lit, clean and spacious. This is a great property, highly recommended.
My wife and I made this a stopover en route to Niagara Falls. Located across the street from the Curtiss Museum and at the southern tip of Keuka Lake, the hotel is decorated in homage to Curtiss and his many inventions. We had a very comfortable stay. The room was extremely clean! Everyone was very pleasant. We really appreciated the personal touches, like the different varieties of bagels for breakfast, the ability to make a full breakfast (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage), and the homemade muffins and breads baked by one of the staff — delicious! Excellent stay! Highly recommend staying here!
Had a wonderful one night stay here. Hotel is about 1 mile from downtown Hammondsport, where the lake, shops, bars, and restaurants are located. A terrific village to stroll around. The hotel is also a few hundred yards away from the fantastic Glenn Curtiss Museum, which is a MUST SEE when visiting this area. The museum provides a one hour movie about the amazing life he led, stories about early aviation, many beautifully restored cars, motorcycles, airplanes from over a century ago. The hotel also provided one of the better continental breakfasts we've had with our spacious and comfortable room.
We had a great experience staying at the Best Western Plus in Hammondsport, NY! From the time we walked in the door, we were greeted with kindness. Karen went above and beyond the normal check-in procedures. She provided us with many suggestions on how to make the best of our stay. We weren't able to take advantage of the amenities offered but the fire pits, pool, and exercise facilities looked wonderful. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, even close to the end of the breakfast hours. There was even a very kind woman checking in on all of the guests as we ate. Our room was clean and a great size. We would definitely recommend staying here if visiting the Fingers Lakes of NY.
After hearing negative reviews from a motel in the Hammondsport area we went ahead and tried the Best Western Plus Hotel. What a shock!!! The motel we had stayed at for the past 20 years did NOT do themselves any favors. They have lost a faithful customer to the Best Western Plus. We will now ONLY stay at the Best Western!
Hammondsport Trip - close to the town, wineries and Bath. Very clean. Decent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again. Great value plus it was clean, nicely furnished and new.
On our way to Virginia Beach, we decided to stop in Hammondsport and check out part of the Finger Lakes. Since we wanted to be close to the wineries and other attractions it was a given that we should chose the Hammondsport Hotel as our base. I cannot say anything else but WOW! From the staff (Brigette at the desk and Leslie who runs the breakfast) to the accommodations, this was by far THE best hotel stay we have had in quite some time. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and since we are rewards members, we were upgraded as it was low season (NICE touch). But better than that was the breakfast that greeted us the next morning! Leslie outdoes herself at this hotel and the breakfast that she oversees should be the envy of all the other hotels we have stayed in. Try her home fries!!! Congratulations folks ... well done. To all of you reading this, do yourselves a favour and when in Hammondsport spend a night at the Best Western
Bed is comfortable, area is quiet, staff is helpful and friendly; a delightful experience all around. Interesting Curtis museum across the street. Charming old historic town atmosphere. Wild turkeys roam free.
Only stayed one night during the off season, so the hotel was quiet and clean. The property is only three years old and I was told they had just finished their winter deep cleaning before the busy season starts.Typical breakfast fare, except the two women keeping it up were very engaging and enjoyable have in the area. Bed was a bit harder than I like, but that is just me. Large shower stall, no tub which was fine. Water pressure was an 8.5 out of 10! Only complaint was that it felt like it took forever for the water to get hot in the shower and sink. Will stay here again!
Met up with another couple to socialize and see the area. This hotel is close to wineries and museums (do see the Glenn Curtiss Museum, which is almost across the street). The hotel is new and clean and has a wonderful breakfast with attentive staff who help with the waffle maker and keep everything stocked. Room was large and clean and very quiet. On the last night of our stay my husband got very ill (not the hotel's fault, likely a stomach bug we picked up from our grandkids, but at the time I thought it could be appendicitis ). I was very rattled as we had a 6 hour drive home and I do not drive our large truck on fast highways. The staff offered us and extended late check out so he could sleep, offered ginger ale and crackers, gave us advice on the local hospital if needed and many other things to try and help. After a few hours of sleep my husband felt up to driving home (we drove straight through and he is OK now). I was impressed with the genuine concern of the staff. They went above and beyond what was expected . We will absolutely go back to this area and stay at the hotel. Thank you everyone for helping us out ! It meant a great deal to both of us.
This hotel was a little on the expensive side but it is in a tourist area in the summer. It seems like a newer place. The room and the common areas were clean and modern. Staff was pleasant. Take note that the hotel is outside of the charming village of Hammondsport but it is a very short drive. The thing we most enjoyed was the outside fireplaces, although we had to wait for one to be available. We sat there for hours talking with another couple from out of state. Overall, I would recommend it.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hammondsport for two nights while away for a long weekend. The building looks very new. It was very easy to find and had plenty of parking. The staff checked us in and out relatively quickly. We had breakfast there one morning and they had a nice variety of waffles, eggs, yogurt, bread bagels, juice, etc. Breakfast starts at 7 on the weekends (which we did not know about until we checked in), which meant that we had to leave at least once before breakfast started. The room was very clean. We made use of the in-room microwave and coffee maker. The Wifi was plenty fast for what we needed it for. There was audible noise coming from some of the other guest rooms into ours, but I think this was kept at an acceptable level because not all of the rooms adjacent to ours were occupied. overall, we had a great stay.
Chose Best Western based on reviews. The reviews did not disappoint our reservation. Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff at BW was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms showed no wear. I definitely would recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay, location was excellent for visiting the wineries, no bar or restaurant at hotel. New hotel, very clean. Did not get a chance to check out the firepit. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was very good.
My wife and I stayed here on a weekend getaway. The staff is pleasurable. The room and hotel are both very clean. The beds are very comfortable. The staff informed us about the free breakfast in the morning. The scrambled eggs were fluffy. The potatoes, sausage and bacon were very good. Over all, a great experience. I would stay here again. Rooms are very quiet. Staff is extremely helpful. They have a pool and exercise room and what looked like a small business center.
Amazing hotel from the lobby to the rooms. Clean and well designed. I would stay here anytime! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my life. We stay in hotels all the time but this was different. The staff made everything perfect!
Our stay at the Best Western Plus in hammondsport New York was fabulous. The staff were more than kind. The lady at the front desk gave us a suite at no extra charge when she learned that I had four children with me. The rooms were clean comfortable and overall our experience was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very reasonable winter pricing. The place was clean and quiet and met the needs of my quick in and out overnight stay. I have stayed in this hotel during the summer and pricing is steep for this level of hotel, but supply and demand drives.
The Best Western Plus in Hammondsport was delightful and was a great value! The entire facility was clean and nicely decorated and the rooms were clean and comfortably furnished. The best part of our stay there was our interactions with the staff. They were so friendly and attentive to our needs! One of the nicest places where we have stayed!
My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased to stay in this hotel. It is nestled on Hwy 54 between two low mountain ridges that provide a picturesque view. It is decorated with photos, artifacts and reproductions of local significance. It was a great getaway!
We came to this hotel for a family event and was so happy with the cleanliness, cost but most of all service of this property. The staff seemed to want to make our trip better, and keep going out of their way to help.
We stayed here as a large group in the winter times. Rates were very reasonable for a new hotel that was clean and comfortable. Rooms were noice and the hotel was very quiet. The front desk was friendly and helpful. On the first night, we made use of the large conference room on the first floor and ordered pizza delivery for the group. The only suggested change would be larger, higher quality bath towels
Very nice, clean, comfortable newer hotel. Spacious room and bathroom. Great amenities! Friendly staff. Definitely will stay again when visiting the Finger Lake area. Stayed in room 208. They offer continental breakfast, which we did not gave. Coffee and hot water always available and also in room.
Very nice hotel & service. First stay at this location.... price changes per season! Good breakfast served in the morning. Would stay here again. Comfy lobby with fireplace and Curtis replica hanging from ceiling.
We stayed at the Best Western Hammondsport for three nights and had an excellent time. Check-in was friendly and informative... the staff gave us lots of ideas on what to do. We rode our bikes into town - very close. The outdoor firepits were wonderful - met people from all over. Hammondsport is a great place for a getaway and this hotel was fantastic.
My husband and I stayed here in July 2018. We brought our grand daughter. The room was impecable, breakfast was wonderful, the pool was awesome, and the outdoor fire pits were a great way to cap off a day of fun in the Corning, NY area.
There are no comparable sites of this exceptional quality for several miles, except the Penn Yan BW, which is also equally superb. The breakfast is warm, fresh and delicious. An outstanding hotel in a quiet neighborhood, not on an expressway.
Upon check in we were asked if we'd prefer the first floor or the second near the elevator. We chose the first. Probably the second or third floor would have been better. The room was lovely, clean, good seating, comfortable bed. But - It was noisy! First, you could hear water in the walls from the upper levels, and they obviously have a ventilation issue as when the wind blew in the least, it was literally howling in our room. It actually woke us up during the night, sounded like a forlorn ghost! In addition the upstairs guests sounded like a heard of elephants. I cannot believe anyone can stomp so loudly. So I attribute it to lack of sound proofing between the floors. If we return, I will stay on the 3rd floor near the elevator and take my chances. The breakfast was excellent, and the front desk helpful.
(10) of us stayed here for the Deck the Halls Seneca Wine Trail weekend. The hotel is new, large clean rooms, hotel was very quiet to sleep at night, breakfast buffet was included in the room rate. The staff was friendly and helpful.
My wife and along with four others recently stayed (Sat Dec, 1st) in a best western plus at 8440 Hammondsport NY 14840. I have been coming to the finger lakes for over 25 years. This was our first time staying with your hotel (Room 222). Accommodations at the hotel and most of the staff were extremely wonderful. I stay in many hotels throughout the country and our first time here was extremely pleasant until we had a encounter with a Mrs. Sue Presley. I am staying with five other people. Three rooms total. One of the other guests and I walked out to his car taking personal items out. When we entered the building we walked over to look at our breakfast options. Mrs. Presley asked Robert English if he needed help with something (in a rather rude tone). His response was no thank you, just looking at the breakfast. We proceeded to get coffee and headed back to our rooms. I then came back to get my wife breakfast and take it to our room when Mrs. Presley then asked me in a very rude tone, "Can I help you with something. My reply was no thank you just getting some breakfast. She then said "well are you staying with us". I replied that I was and proceeded to get my breakfast. She then said well I didn't know you were staying with us. It must have gotten by me. Another person standing next to me said that was rude. I then looked for her to show her my room key and she was nowhere to be found. When I returned I found Mrs. Presley to show her my room key and she explained to me that many people come and get free food. She said she watched me and the other guy walk in from his car. I said I understand how that happens. She did say she was sorry. My reply was your apology should have happened right after you heard I was a quest. She then replied well I had to check the cameras first. It was a very rude encounter coming from your food and beverage supervisor. My suggestion would be for your hotel to key card the breakfast area instead of treating the guests that way.
This Best Western Plus in Hammondsport is a great choice in accommodations when in the Finger Lakes area. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is spacious and bright. The staff was courteous and helpful. The warm cookies in the late afternoon were a nice touch and always a treat when we returned after a day of seeing the sights and tasting wines. The hotel is relatively new, so it's in great condition throughout the property. The complimentary hot breakfast had something to please everyone. Our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated that it had a microwave and refrigerator. We had asked for a room not facing the road, but none were available for our 4-night stay. Our only complaint is that the ‘country traffic' started early (like 5am) and was not conducive to a good night's sleep without earplugs. We also appreciated the coin laundry, gym facilities and ample parking. From the hotel it is about a mile to town where you'll find a few good restaurants close to the village square.
Unexpected luxury in a most rural New York. Loved the beds and loved the breakfast! Clean and lovely in the middle of finger lakes. Traveled with my partner for a long weekend in November —- roads were completely free of snow despite 10 inches of snowfaii the night before we arrived.
Stayed at the Best Western for a Friday and Saturday night to tour wineries. The hotel was clean and bright, the lobby inviting, the room was huge, and the breakfast a touch above what we have come to expect. However, what really made the stay special was the staff. Always pleasant and about trying to make your stay better.
This hotel was a great place to stay while visiting Lake Keuka. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a step above other hotels that offer a free breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area again.
Stayed for One night here and wish we stayed for more!! The General Manager Karen was UNREAL! She gave us so many suggestions for wineries and made us feel extra welcome. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. The warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were a hit! Every employee at this hotel made you feel welcome and they honestly wanted to make your visit the absolute best, from the front desk to the breakfast staff. Great job!!!
Our second visit here was as wonderful as the first. The staff, specifically Holly and Bridget at the Front Desk, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. We arrived on a Friday night, and were tired from working and the drive that followed. My husband and I had no problem falling asleep in our comfortable room, but the couple we traveled with in the room next door, had children charging around in the room above them, to the point that the hangers in the closet were shaking and rattling. They contacted the Front Desk, and after politely attempting to resolve the issue over the phone, eventually moved the offensive party to another room. The next morning, we were given excellent advice on wineries, breweries, eateries, and also had a billing issue resolved with professional, and accommodating efficiency. We all look forward to another visit. Surprised to see so many people with children there on this visit, as it is definitely an adult location, and nothing for children to do in the area, especially this time of year. I would expect to see them near a water park, not wine tours. :-)
We stayed at this property with friends after spending the day touring wineries and breweries along Keuka Lake. Front desk staff suggested nearby restaurants for dinner. The free breakfast the following morning included some wonderful homemade goodies. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Slightly outside the town of Hammondsport and a short drive to Lake Keuka wineries, this is a hotel in pristine shape. The breakfast offered a full selection of hot options, as well as continental foods. There were fresh cookies out at check-in and access to hot beverages at all times. The hotel has two large outdoor fire pits great for relaxing by in the evening. The hotel staff were friendly and knoweldgeable about the area, giving great lunch, dinner, and winery recommendations. Highly recommend this hotel!
We have stayed at this property once a year since it opened. It is our go-to lodging in Hammondsport. Staff if great. Local artwork, which is everywhere, makes this chain hotel feel local. Breakfast in the morning offered a far larger variety of choices than most hotels offer in their included continental breakfasts.
Had a great stay there this past weekend. The room was nice, and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful. I prefer a hotel like this to the bed & breakfast's in the area, in my personal opinion. The breakfasts were good, and the breakfast area was very well maintained during breakfast hours. There were warm cookies in the breakfast area after-hours. A nice touch. There are two fire pits on the one side of the hotel for folks who want to sit outside and chat in the cooler weather. The Hammondsport area is a great jumping off point for tours of the Finger Lakes wine region.
Newer property, nicely appointed rooms, a little pricey overnight we stayed there. There was a bus load of college kids there but we never heard a peep from them. I would stay here again, I guess just a busy weekend when we went there.
This hotel makes a nice base for seeing the sights in and around Keuka Lake. The Curtiss Museum is right up the road and downtown Hammondsport is a short drive away. There are many winerys just a short drive from here. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the common areas are well tended to. Warm cookies in the evening and the 24 hour coffee and tea are nice touches. Nicely appointed rooms. WiFi and cell service a bit spotty probably due to the rural/hilly location. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful with directions and recommendations for local eateries.
We recently went to the finger lakes area for a long weekend away and after much research settled on the Best western plus in Hammondsport. I was not disappointed at all with our stay. The hotel seems newer and was very well appointed. The free breakfast was a great way to start the day! The room we had was very spacious and clean, comfy beds as well. We loved the location also just a short drive to many different attractions in the area. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Bonus was the two fire pits outside that were perfect to sit and enjoy some wine and relax at the end of a long day of exploring the area. The staff was more than nice and accommodating with anything you could ask for. Overall a great weekend and a perfect place to stay.
This hotel is quite new and nicely appointed. Rooms were nice and free breakfast was excellent. However, all this was ruined by lack of soundproofing. We could distinctly hear TV noise from adjacent rooms after 11 pm, and they started in again at 7:30 the next morning. Since we had a long car trip to get there and we were tired, we wanted a little extra sleep and could not get it due to the noise. (Btw, there was no point in asking for another room as the hotel was completely full and the front desk person told us this at check-in.) Also, the price of this hotel was a little high for the area. We would not stay here again.
This visit was our first time in upstate New York. We wanted to explore the Finger Lakes region and chose this hotel for three nights. It was a good choice, we explored Hammondsport and the surrounding area. There are numerous wineries and breweries in the vicinity we visited. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated and the staff were great. Always enjoy the breakfast!
We had to make an emergency trip to Bath NY. All area hotels were booked. We needed a place to stay, as my father in law was passing and we needed to be there with him. I called the Best Western in Hammondsport and the lady there managed to get us 2 nights. It's a lovely place. The folks were very accommodating and pleasant. Beds were fairly comfortable, room was very clean and bathroom was great. This place has superb towels. Not the stiff starchy scratchy kind. Very soft and absorbent. Sometimes it's the little things that make a place stand out. Great place, great breakfast, super people. Will definitely stay here again.
I don't rate too many hotels as Excellent, but this one really impressed me. If all the hotels in the BW chain were this good, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were much better than average for a chain hotel. We had a microwave and mini-fridge that had their own little work area, instead of occupying needed space in/on other furniture in the room. There was a lot of drawer space (something that seems to be shrinking in other chain hotels) and two chairs, one at the desk and the other a comfy chair with footstool. The place was reasonably quiet and the staff were friendly and attentive. The bathroom was very nice, with plenty of sink counter space, and a walk in shower. The light switch was inside the bathroom so that if one partner needs to go in the middle of the night, they can close the door before turning on the light. (A surprising number of hotel bathrooms have light switches outside, thereby ensuring that the other partner will be awakened when the light goes on.) The free hot breakfast was pretty good. it's hard to find nits to pick but there are a few minor ones here. One is that there's only one elevator, so if it is busy, you have to wait. It wasn't a huge problem during our stay. The fitness room was only average, as it had four machines and two of them were buttbusting bicycle seat exercise bikes (many other hotels have semi recumbent bikes with comfortable seats with backs). The wifi was adequate but seemed a little slower than what I experience at many other hotels. Of course, location is important and this is nicely located on a main route on the edge of town, convenient to the Curtiss museum across the street. The price was quite reasonable as well, making this hotel an excellent value. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here.
What a wonderful find- clean - friendly - updated - we had made a reservation including our pet -upon arrival they informed us that they stopped being pet friendly over a year ago - however since we had made the reservations noting we had a pet they HONORED the reservations - no problem and couldn't have been more accommodating- this is without a doubt the very best hotel of this caliber we have ever stayed in
After what turned into an 11 hour travel day I arrived at the Best Western Plus Hammondsport to find we were upgraded to a suite! The hotel is clean, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a nice spread to feed everyone. I was visiting the area for the Wineglass Marathon Weekend and the staff opened the kitchen early for the runners and had the most perfect food-to-go bags with everything a runner (or tired kid) could want at 5am. Will definitely stay here again.
I was there this past weekend for To the Wine run race weekend and had a great stay. They went above and beyond to make sure all the racers who are staying at the hotel got feed and opened breakfast up early for us.
I have stayed here twice, definitely will stay here again the employees here go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The room's are Comfortable, very clean. Well worth you're stay
This hotel is excellent especially the staff. The staff is attentive, friendly and on point. The rooms are setup nicely and is very clean and organized. All the ameneties such as the pool and workout area is kept in imaculate condition. Would highly recommend this location.
We only stayed one night on our way to Toronto. We had been to Keuka Lake when my son was at Cornell. The rooms are very large here, definitely large enough to hold a family. Our room had two queen beds plus a pull out sofa as well as mini fridge and microwave. The hotel itself was very clean, it is not in the town but only a short 5 minute drive into Hammondsport. Breakfast that came with room was your typical quick breakfast but they were cleaning up the tables so promptly was better than most. If I am in the area again I would definitely stay here.
At reception upon check in Bridgit was very friendly and welcoming, recognized that we are loyal to Best Western, and took great care to explain all of the facilities at the hotel and seemed to be very proud of all that you had to offer. She said to be sure to have some of the warm cookies (delicious!), and to sit outside by the fire pits which she would light at dusk. She explained the breakfast and the lady who makes some of the items (that lady was very kind and helpful in the morning). Bridget took the same care with 2 young men checking in ahead of us and when we saw them in town at a restaurant she recommended (Burgers and ....?) they also commented upon how helpful she was. She is a real asset to the property. We will return when in the area again. Hotel had a beautiful view of the forest and hills. The pool was clean and inviting. Highly recommend .
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great rooms, fantastic breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff, Loved the location, and just a short distance to several really good restaurants and great wineries. The indoor pool was clean and relaxing, and the fire pits were a nice touch to gather around with family and friends on a cool night. We will be back next year on our annual trip to the Finger Lakes
In the area of Hammondsport for the Wings & Wheels festival as well as visiting wineries. Spent 2 nights at this Best Western and found it to be very nice. Office gals Faith & Bridget were very courteous and helpful. Great breakfast with plenty of items to choose from. A shout out to Melody in the breakfast area who was always keeping everything stocked and was helpful to all of the folks eating. Another gal helped Melody, but I didn't catch her name. Rooms are very nicely appointed. The area is a great place to visit as this town is located on the shore of Lake Kuala, one of the Finger Lakes. Also, I had little knowledge of Glenn Curtiss before visiting Hammondsport, but after a trip to the Museum, I realized that he had as much if not more contribution to America's flight history as the Wright Brothers.
Stayed here for a wedding. Entire stay was great - staff was friendly and very helpful. Entire experience at the hotel was great Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and the outside fire pits were great and put to good use
This hotel is reasonably priced and in a very good location. The rooms a good size and very clean. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff couldn't be nicer. I plan to return to the area in May and will definitely stay here again.
We were on the third floor, very quiet. The room had everything we needed, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer and was very clean. The towels weren't the highest quality but served the purpose. I also would have preferred better pillows but that's just personal preference. My husband didn't mind them. Bridgette at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We also liked the airplane hanging in the lobby and the warm chocolate chip cookies each afternoon!
Came up from Philadelphia to do the Wine Trail and stayed here three nights. Great location, great rooms, great staff and there are two “Stars” in the breakfast room, Sue and Melody. They put on a great breakfast, tons of fresh choices, and the coffee is delicious. They are also a great source of local information. Delighted with our stay. Judy and Jan
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling the area. Rooms are very big, clean and modern. Breakfast is very good and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There is also a nice pool which my kids loved. Enjoyed it a lot!
We stayed for 4 nights. The location was perfect. We spent the days touring wineries and breweries along the entire Keuka Lake. It was a nice mini vacation! The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but nourishing. The pool was refreshing. We would definitely return!
This Best Western is a great place to stay in the Finger Lakes. Located at the tip of Keuka Lake, it's easy access to all things Keuka, and a quick drive to Watkins Glen, on the southern tip of Lake Seneca. the hotel was very clean, looks new! Comfortable bed, fluffy towels and a large bathroom. The best thing was the included breakfast! Great full breakfast selections, dining room kept very clean by two women who were very pleasant and helpful. Front desk personnel couldn't have been nicer! There is an indoor pool, and a nice workout room. We'll definitely stay here again!
I have had the pleasure of visiting Hammondsport about 3 times a year for a number of years. I have always stayed at the Best Western since it open. The service, the room and the value has always been exceptional. It is also located near some outstanding restaurants.
We only travelled from Penn Yan to get here so our rooms were not yet ready but we just needed to leave one car and some luggage before going on to Corning to visit the glass museum. By the time we were back all was ready for us and although there are no rooms with patio and no lake views the hotel is easy to find as it is on the main highway and it is set in a woodland area. The room was comfortable and included a fridge, coffee machine and seating area with sofa. There is a large lobby with seating (and overhead plane), breakfast room, indoor heated pool and outdoor seating with two fire pits. To be fair, this is basically situated on a grassy patch next to the car park and the only views are of trees and the road but it is nonetheless a pleasant area to enjoy a bottle of local wine and converse with other guests. Quite how you would spend the evening if the weather wasn't up to sitting outside I'm not sure but there are restaurants about half a mile away in town and one across the road. A cafeteria style breakfast is included and the two lovely ladies who serve and clear away the buffet also bake cookies which are then offered with the coffee which is available all day. If they know you are leaving that day they will put some in a bag for you for the journey, which was very welcome during a long drive to JFK. There is a pleasant bar next door to the hotel but it closes by 6pm on weekdays, later at weekends. Now for the glitches. On our second day our room was not cleaned. We had been out all day and housekeeping had left by the time we reported it so the only thing the front desk could do was offer us a credit on the bill in recompense. However, they didn't organise this and we had to go through the whole thing again with a different member of staff on checkout. The second problem occurred because we were travelling with American relations who had made the booking for both our rooms. On arrival we had each given credit card details for our separate rooms and checkout dates. However, after we each returned to our respective homes it transpired that both bills (and the refund) had been applied to the credit card of the one who made the room reservations. Since we were by then on different continents, this created a headache. It seems that there are systems but not enough thought given to how to apply them. Apart from these administrative matters the hotel was pleasant, comfortable and friendly.
Our son attends Alfred State about 40 minutes away. We have come to expect good value and quality from Best Western and they never fail to deliver. From early morning complimentary breakfast to the 24 hour bottomless urn of coffee and beverages including awesome chocolate chip cookies our stay was a delight. High Speed internet, clean rooms and accessibility to all major roads in a country setting. Kudos and a Bravo Zulu to the Hotel Staff for making our stay a great one.
this is a new hotel.. it's located on the outskirts of the town attractions which was nice. .but it seems to be the only one in the area, so it was very very busy. and they allow a lot of outdoor gatherings of customers. So, expect nose and lots of it. But it was a great stay.
My sister & I stayed one night mid week recently. Nothing bad to say....everything is spotless, check-in was easy, Adirondack chairs & firepits for evenings outside. Easy parking, breakfast included, room was fairly large & had loveseat, chair, mini fridge & microwave. Only minor complaint is there is a swamp on the other side of the highway....not so pleasing to the eye but would stay again if in the area.
The friendliest people manage and operate this hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean and up to date. the staff is the best and it's a great breakfast! We have stayed here in the past and they continue to keep it beautifully. Everyone is welcoming and there is nothing they won't do to make your stay comfortable.
Great new hotel about three years old and the location was very convenient. We booked two queen beds room and it was so spacious with another sofa bed. Beds were so comfortable and room was so clean .The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful too. Kids had freshly baked cookies to taste in the evening.Sue and her assistant were so helpful. Best western Hammondsport is really beautiful hotel and definitely we are coming back.
We visited Hammondsport with a group of 16 people. The hotel staff was welcoming. The breakfast foods were delicious and the staff members were very helpful. We enjoyed traveling the local roads, then returning to the hotel and relaxing around the outdoor fire pits. I highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed here for my daughter's 2018 Tough Mudder race. To be honest I thought it was a little overpriced for the location and level, but then again its all relative. It definitely helps that its new. Nice spacious rooms, clean and not "totally abused yet" :). The service was great and free breakfast was definitely a nice bonus. My only gripe (and this is for me) - I hate those saggy pillows - why can't they have nice firm ones. Oh well, its not like other hotels in this price range are any different.
This was a perfect stay. We checked in late due to traveling for business and the gentleman was very nice at the front desk. Beds were comfortable and they pillows are like heaven. We didn't eat breakfast (that was free) in the morning, but it looked and smelled delicious. Will stay again when in the area.
For what we paid, this hotel is an excellent value. Nice, modern furnishings in the room, a big shower, easy to log on to wifi, and a free breakfast with homemade muffins and cinnamon banana bread. The women managing the breakfast area were top notch in customer service, welcoming everyone and showing us where everything was located. And plenty of coffee and chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Great location between the town of Hammondsport and Pleasant Valley Wine Company. You cannot find a better value anywhere!
Excellent facility for the value be sure to stay here when you visit the finger lakes. Food was well prepared and a good variety. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Location was easy to access.
Recently spent 4 nights at this Best Western. While I was very impressed with the facility I was even more impressed with the staff and the very friendly manner and their commitment to making my stay an enjoyable one. Even if there were many more hotel options in Hammondsport, I would stay here again.
Traveling through on it was close to the museum (a must). This motel is great! Two years old and looks newer. Staff was friendly and professional! Room was exceptional, huge walk in shower, extremely clean and comfortable. Super comfortable bed and very relaxing room, Wi-Fi good, view good, breakfast was very good. I hope to return to area, I will stay here if I do! Highly recommend.
I think this hotel is a couple of years old and it was just lovely. Immaculate large rooms, helpful friendly staff, and delicious breakfast in the morning. The only problem is that the bar was now set for the next hotel we had to stay at in Jamestown...you'll have to go look for my next review to truly experience the Relative and significant let down ??
My wife and I decided to stay here for our 10th anniversary and this hotel was totally incredible. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We got a great rate. Our room was big and spacious and clean. The hotel is in a nice location right near the lake. The town is beautiful and quaint. This will be our only destination in the area. We will definitely be back again
This hotel is very clean and then staff is great. Indoor pool is very nice. Close to town and restaurants. We were on a motorcycle trip and they were very accommodating. Everything about this hotel is great. They area is beautiful also.
Convenient location for museum and regional attractions. Wineries, restaurants. This is a very attractive and pleasant hotel. We will come back again. Great facility for business meetings too! Easy parking.
When we travel in USA and come home through Buffalo we stay here. Hotel 2 years old, great location near Hammondsport and staff and premises great. Rooms very clean, reasonable price. Breakfast staff friendly and food typical Hotel chain free breakfast. Welcome cookies in afternoon kept warm in chafing dish. Extra blankets available at front desk and room temperature pleasant. Dylan front desk manager friendly and efficient. Highly recommend if going to this area. About 15 minutes from main highway, drive through Bath. Also accessible from Watkins Glen. The town nearby great to visit various antique stores and a grocery store also.
Handy place to stay to enjoy wineries, hiking near the Finger Lakes. Great Antique shop in walking distance. Hammondsport, NY 2 minute drive to center. New hotel with nice sized rooms, ample free parking.
Great location and value of money. Staff were definitely 5 stars and will go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. This was my 2nd stay in the same place and would not hesitate to stay at the same location again.
The hotel is about 2 years old, has new amenities, the staff is friendly and willing to assist in anyway they can. The rooms are big and clean . I wish the blankets were thicker and softer (like duvets), but they were warm enough for a night in April.
It's my first time reviewing a hotel online but this one really deserves a review. We travel a lot and this hotel is now part of my top 3. The hotel is spotless, modern, rooms are big. Dylan, at the front desk, went out of his way to assure that we had the best experience possible (discount, room upgrade,...). thank you for making us feel welcome the minute we walked in! We have just checked in for the night so can't talk yet about the breakfast but we are looking forward to it.
We spent 4 nights in this squeaky clean, eat off the floor hotel. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and problem free. The rooms were large and modern. The common areas were beautifully maintained and the breakfast buffet, once of the best for type. Robin in the breakfast room went out of her way to make dining enjoyable. Nice pool but no hot tub. The hotel is within walking distance of the Glenn Cutiss Museum (a must see) and the Pelican Nest restaurant is across the street with great seafood and proprietors. Pleasant Valley Inn has fine dining and is about 1/2 mile away. Great antique store is within walking distance with good prices. We will definitely spread the word about the quality and service of this hotel. Every employee from housekeeping to front desk was exemplary in their work ethic and guest satisfaction. The hotel is also 1/2 hour from Watkins Glen race track.
This is our third stay at the Best Western in Hammondsport. Its quite new, exceptionally clean and the breakfast is great. The staff has been great, the gentleman at the desk is very friendly and greets you with a smile each time you go by. He's been here all three of our visits and is very welcoming. The young lady at the continental breakfast was very kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and we'll appointmented, you get a lot for your money here. Pool was nice, our kids enjoyed it! We've stayed here both with and without our kids. Highly recommend the brewery next door. Quick drive into town. Great place to stay in Hammondsport!
This was my first stay at this hotel and I am likely to go back when on business in the area. The room was clean and well furnished. Every hotel employee I encountered went out of their way to greet me and offer assistance whether I needed any or not! Breakfast had many options. The coffee, which is kept fresh 24/7, was extremely good quality (and I am picky)! I did have noisy neighbors one night and didn't know what to do about that. The manager on duty the next morning said if I had called the desk they would have handled it. When I checked out on the 3rd day she called to ask if I'd had a better night and to, again, welcome me to the Best Western rewards program.
Comfortable and clean rooms. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful. Bridget who check us in was awesome and helped us upgrade to a suite at no extra charge. I was late for the complimentary breakfast and everything was put away. The woman working there offered fruit, yogurt, or breakfast bar, which I really appreciated since I needed to get on the road quickly. It was sweet of her to go out of her way. All around ... great staff!!
The pool and breakfast was awesome the only problems I had was the heat wouldn't go lover than 75 without the a/c coming on and ants running around the floor in the room. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay I would stay again
We enjoy going each year to the Hammondsport Christmas in the Park-lighting the Christmas Tree and Manager, vendors and animals. Hard to find a place to stay in that area at the time of the year. The Best Western Plus opened 1 1/2 years ago. It is great. It is easy to get to and close to the village. It was very clean and decorated nicely. We had a very good breakfast that was included. All of the staff were friendly and professional. We are sorry we did not have time to use the pool. We look forward to staying there more often and we know we will be back in December.
Nice room with firm bed and breakfast was great selection All employees were very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. Was a reasonable rate and was conveniently located. One of our favorite stops was right next door at the Finger Lakes Brewery...a must stop if you like craft beers
Their staffs are very friendly and patient. Upon our arrival and check-in around 9 pm, the lobby attendant is very patient to help us check-in and he repeated to us confirm our special room requests (we request quiet room on the highest floor possible and away from the ice machine and elevator). Then he gave us a brief introduction of their hotel and facilities. Their rooms in general are very spacious. My estimate it should be around 300 - 350 sq.ft. As we have requested while we book the hotel, our rooms are very quiet on the 3rd floor (the hotel's highest floor) and away from the ice machine and elevator. When we arrived the breakfast room in the morning, there is a friendly staff approach us and show us the location of different food and drink. There are 2 waffle making machines, one for the regular size waffle and the other can make up to 4 small size waffle at the same time. For other pastry, they have various type of danish, bagel, muffin and bread. For drink, they have regular and decaf coffee, juice and water. This hotel was completed in the Summer of 2016 so it's still quite new and I can not say if they can keep the quality as good in the future, but base my experience this time, this will be my number one choice the next time I return to the Finger Lakes region.
This is a new and well run hotel and is extremely convenient to Keuka Lake wineries. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was quite good compared to similar hotels.
The Best Western Hammondsport is a beautiful hotel. My room was great & they had an excellent free breakfast each day. The staff is very friendly & checking in & out is quick & easy. The hotel is close to many restaurants & vinyards & attractions.
We stay in this area multiple times each year while visiting family and friends. The hotel choices in the area are very limited. We were thrilled to learn a new hotel was opening and we were not disappointed. This hotel is brand new. We stayed in a suite. It was larger and brighter than expected. Very well laid out. There were three of us in the room plus luggage, etc. and we had lots of space. Lots of outlets and usb ports! This is one of my pet peeves and I was pleasantly surprised to find outlets and usb ports in useful places (next to the bed, next to the couch). The only drawback on the room was the coffee maker being in the bathroom. We moved it to the desk because the was no outlet on the kitchenette counter. This may be a quirk with just this room. The breakfast includes the usual hotel eggs, sausage, cereal, baked goods, but also has two "make your own" waffle areas. There were always staff in the area to help if needed. We used the exercise room and the (heated) pool. The exercise room has two treadmills, a bike, and elliptical. In warmer weather you could walk/jog in the area. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to acknowledge us as we entered and left through the lobby. We have found our new hotel of choice when staying in the area.
Just spent 4 days in Hammondsport and would highly recommend this hotel if looking for a great place to stay in the Finger Lakes. Location is excellent for visiting all around the Finger Lakes. Hotel is new, very well maintained, and staffed by a great group of employees. One of the best breakfast spreads for a chain hotel. Don't look any further if your are looking for a great place to stay.
5 Stars; Customer service was the best I have ever experienced. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and comfy. The full hot breakfast was better than most restaurants! I will stay here EVERY time I'm in the area!.
This was not our first stay at this hotel. In December of 2016, our son was married in the area and we stayed at the hotel the week of the wedding. Our experience was excellent and we did not hesitate to stay again when we visited our son and daughter in-law in November 2017. Our experience with this hotel and staff from the manager Karen, Dylan (front desk) and Sue (food service) has been extraordinary. The hotel is spotless, the food is carefully prepared and presented and everyone treats the guest with a friendly and welcoming approach. I've stayed at many hotels and in many different chains and I can honestly say, no others compare to the quality, service and value that this hotel offers.
Clean, warm, comfortable. Can't miss. Wonderful staff and good coffee. Free Breakfast not bad either!! Try the banana cinnamon bread that Susan makes. :) We spent 2 nights here for a late fall wine tasting tour. Had a wonderful stay.
I recently organized a long weekend wine tasting trip on Kayuga Lake for my husband and myself, my sister and her husband. In our busy lives, we rarely get to spend time together just to relax and have fun as we live so far from each other. We wanted to stay in Hammondsport and from the time I called to inquire about the possibility of a stay at this Best Western Plus, everyone I had contact with were friendly, listened and were most helpful. When I requested two rooms as close together as possible, they placed us right across the hall from each other in a great location. Check in was easy and quick, help was offered at every turn, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the amenities were great and the breakfasts were outstanding. They even had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies available for guests in the afternoon and hot beverages in the lobby 24-7. I loved that we were met with smiles, helpful answers to questions and such a positive feel from everyone there. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!
We stayed for just one night but I wish it could have been longer. Everything from the check-in to the breakfast the next morning was pretty much perfect. The employees were exceptional - friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be recycling facilities. If you're going to drink all that wine, you're going to have empty bottles! Would have been nice not to have to throw them in the trash.
We spent 2 nights and 3 days touring the Finger Lakes wineries and stayed at this hotel again this year. Very nice new hotel, clean, good breakfast included and great location. There are 4 great restaurants within a mile each way and accessing the Wineries is easy. We will be back next year and stay here.
We loved the hospitality, the cleanliness and the breakfast! The clerk was generous with helping and gave us great ideas as to where to eat. The area is very nice, quiet and we loved the scenery. The little gem town just tucked along side a beautiful lake, it was all the charm we needed to enjoy the stay. We are definitely going to book a longer stay next time. Best Western Plus Hammondsport is simplistic, has a modern flare with all the comforts of home base.
We would recommend this hotel to everyone we know who would be visiting in that area. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, our room was so comfortable and clean! The whole hotel was bright and clean! We definitely would stay there again!!
Nice hotel for quick visit to finger lakes wine country. In my opinion it is a nice solid hotel, nothing fancy, includes the standard free breakfast (scrambled eggs, self made waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc.), has a small indoor pool (didn't get a chance to try, supposedly closes at 9pm, at least that is what I remember, would be nice if it stayed open later), room was comfortable, note that our bathroom only had a shower, no tub. Staff was friendly.
Bridget at the front desk was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us suggestions for restaurants and wineries. Sue who handled the breakfast each morning was so pleasant and helpful. All the baked goods were made right there. Really enjoyed the variety at breakfast each morning. Close to town. Will definitely be back.
Newish with beautiful exterior and cool lobby with replica antique airplane suspended above,. Nothing not to like, great staff, nice rooms good breakfast and very close to Curtis museum which was our destination also 12minutes to DT Hammondsport with several restaurant options
This was a great choice for our girls' weekend to enjoy each otheri n a relaxing, clean, and friendly environment after a day of wine tasting. All staff were helpful and made us feel like special guests. We will be back for sure.
We had a king suite room for one night. The room was clean and the decor was a subtle calming grey scheme. It was very modern looking. Patrick (night shift) and Karen (day shift) at the front desk were both really great people. They were friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and had helpful ideas on where to eat and visit while we were in town. Would most definitely go again. The people who prepared the breakfast were equally kind and pleasant. There was a wide variety of breakfast choices; the food itself was mediocre.
We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Watkins Glen State Park and the surrounding area. This hotel is spotless! The lobby is large and welcoming and I appreciated the size of the breakfast room. There were plenty of tables to sit at as well as plenty of room for the food to be spread out so we did not feel crowded while getting breakfast. The breakfast attendant was friendly and welcoming each morning. We enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies in the evening. I did not get a chance to check out the pool but we di relax at the fire pit one evening. Five stars!
Our stay at the Best Western while visiting the Finger Lakes Region was wonderful. The hotel staff was exceptional. The breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely want a repeat visit to this facility!
The property is new and very well maintained. The staff was exceptionally helpful, professional and friendly The staff in the morning greeted us at breakfast and attended to our needs. Front office operations were fast and efficient
Great hotel for the price. This is a new and clean building. Excellent breakfast which good food and selection.. Has a small but nice indoor pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hammondsport is a pretty little town with some nice restaurants and shops on the lake.
Stayed at this hotel in October for two nights when we were hiking in the Finger Lakes parks. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. We enjoyed the included breakfast that offered both hot(eggs, sausage, potatoes) and cold items.Coffee and cookies were also available throughout the day. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening around the gas fire pits.Thank you to all staff!
Very comfortable hotel, with friendly, helpful staff. Several pleasant areas in the lobby to just hang out and chat or read, including a breakfast room/cafe with access to coffee, tea, other beverages, fruit, and fresh cookies 24/7. Everything is clean and well maintained and the outside was lovely. The hotel is very close to the highway, but I was not disturbed by road noise during the night even though my room faced the highway. Next time I visit, I'll stay here again. Conveniently located to Farm Sanctuary and not far to Corning Museum of Glass. Hammondsport is a pretty little town, although I did not have time to explore it.
We were a group of 6 friends lokoking for a weekend getaway. This was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and things to do in the area. Hotel is very clean. In the evening 2 fire pits were lit and we got to socialize with other guests.
This is a great hotel near many wineries, restaurants and activities. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to provide quality service and the breakfast is excellent.
This hotel is new and very clean, sharply appointed and in close driving distance to downtown Hammondsport, a short drive to the Wineries and walking distance to the Curtis Museum . Just what we were looking for on our trip to the Wine Country. Enjoyed the gas fire pits!
I think this best western should have better mattresses something more comfortable and make sure theres no bugs on the bed before anyone enters the room. other than thoses 2 things i did enjoy my stay.
The staff made you feel welcome right from the start, very helpful during our stay, very clean good breakfast to start the day. Hammondsport Best Western in a great location to visit the many attractions in the finger lakes region, including wineries breweries local people that made the area famous Curtis, Taylor's Great Western families, and the corning area attractions.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was clean and offered much for the price. All employees were helpful and went out of their way to help you with anything you needed. As a travel agent I will definitely be recommending the Best Western Plus
I stayed here for a little over a week in July 2017 being in Hammondsport for a music event and I was really pleased with the accommodations. This was my first BW+ I stayed at and if the others are like this, I certainly won't gloss over other BW+s in the future, when making travel plans. The room was very nice and included a comfortable couch (king bed room) and the bathroom was rather modern with higher-than-expected quality. The only things that prevent me from rating this a 5 star is that the AC is a little loud when turning on. There's no option to keep the fan running so you go from quite to a sudden jolt that tended to wake me up at night. Fortunately the nights this particular summer were cool, so I was able to go without running the AC at night. I know that these units are significant investments that hotels make, and units like this are more financially possible than in-wall, or in-ceiling air handlers that have compressors on the ceiling. But I have stayed in other hotels that have quieter wall units. The other thing that could be improved is educating the front desk on laundry service procedure. The room came with a laundry bag and for, but when I called the front desk, they didn't know about any laundry service. Rather than speaking to a manager, I just went to the local laundromat in town and did it myself. All-in-all, though I was really impressed with this hotel. The staff was very conversational and approachable, the breakfast was really nice and the quality of the hotel was far better than expected. I would definitely stay here again.
We travel extensively throughout the year - mostly on business.. This is our first experience with a Best Western PLUS, This is definitely an above average hotel. - very clean, friendly, well run, beautifully clean crisp decor.
Staff, location great. Quiet, well maintained property. Close to Hammondsport, wineries and finger lakes. Would stay again on way back to Ontario, down road from Aviation Museum, next to craft beer brewery. Have stayed twice as such great location
We have stayed in this new hotel twice in New York wine country to do some wine tasting and Fishing trips. Loved it. My teenage boys loved the free hot breakfast that is included in your stay. They also have fire pits outside for if you want to hang out near the fire!!!! It is minutes away from Keuka Lake, it is definitely a must stay....
The hotel is in a good location for visiting the Finger Lakes. The hotel is new and it is definitly one of the better Best Western hotels we have stayed in. It is very quiet. It is easy to find and very convenient for traveling to the surrounding areas.
I have to say this is one of the nicest hotels we have been in awhile. Its new, clean and the staff is wonderful!!! The breakfast in the morning is good you get scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns in addition to the normal breakfast items. The ladies in the morning come around and ask you if there is anything you need and make sure everything is OK, better service than the Courtyards by Marriott. The front desk also helped me fax papers for work. Great service everyone!! Now the room the bed is SO comfortable, the rooms are spacious and you have a min ref, and microwave if needed. Nice clean bathroom. We will definitely stay here again when we return and will let everyone know about your hotel.
We stayed in this hotel while visiting Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake wineries. It was convenient and very quiet. We like the Best Western Plus rooms and amenities. They have fire pits lit every night. Also very convenient to I-86 across NY.
The hotel is great. We stayed for 2 nights while at the finger lakes. Close to wineries for tasting and only about 30 minutes to Watkins Glenn state park. This is a must see. The waterfalls are spectacular. The hotel rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff kind and helpful. There is even a fire pit to sit around in the evening.
We really enjoyed our night. It is next to a Brewery which is a plus, The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The quality of the breakfast was one of the best we have had at these hotels. Also, the hotel has two large stone fire pits which were burning until 11:00 - a wonderful way to relax in the Adirondack chairs.
The Best Western in Hammondsport was beautiful! The hotel staff was extremely accommodating, breakfast was great and the fire pits outdoors were a bonus. My family stayed here for the Wineglass Marathon and had a great experience.
This is probably the nicest BW I have stayed in so far. It was built in 2016 and looks and smells new. Everything is clean and the staff are very nice too. They have a two Fire Pits outside that they light up at dusk with 10 chairs around them so you can socialize. The only thing I can quibble about is that Breakfast ends at 9:30, an hour before when I think it should. I walked to town which takes about a half-hour. There are a few good places to eat there too.
We were visiting my niece and her family in Hammondsport. We went out to dinner and then came back to the Best Western and they enjoyed the pool -- 4th and 6th graders. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional.
This is a brand new hotel with an eye on customer comfort. Breakfast in the morning with lovely people helping you and warm cookies for whenever the mood strikes you. There's a workout room and even a fire pit.
Hotel is new and very lovely. Check-in and out was excellent. We had a suite 325 which was spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The fire pits were a nice touch. Great price. Thanks to Dylan for handling our reservation and his pleasant manner. The pool area is delightful. The water was so clean and fresh and the temperature of the pool and room was perfect. Since it is new, I have just a few suggestions. There should be more than one luggage cart. The breakfast should be until 10:00 am. The pool area needs a clock and lounge chairs as there is plenty of room for them. Other than this, I highly recommend staying at this fine hotel if you are in the area.
A beautiful hotel, newly built just a short distance away from picturesque Keuka Lake of the Finger Lakes. Hammondsport is the quaintest town, and gave us a great point to return to after a day's adventures about the Lake area, including wineries, breweries, restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was most delightful, rooms neat and comfy, super clean and exactly what we needed after a day of adventure. Breakfast each day was delicious, and coffee was great. Thanks Best Western - beautiful hotel.
A wonderful two night stay accompanied by a very hospitable, helpful, and informative staff. Conveniently located to town and vineyards. Full delicious breakfast. Two outdoor fire pits were kept burning in the evening. Good snack foods available for purchase 24/7- power bars, granola bars, frozen snickers, Ben and Jerry Ice cream. Great restaurants near by. Plush towels.
New hotel nestled in a location convenient to local attractions and wineries. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and beds so comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was a feast of hot and cold foods. We will certainly stay at this hotel again when we return to the area.
Everything at this hotel was fantastic. Perfect location for finger lakes visit and wine tours. Staff was excellent and super helpful with any and all requests. I have stayed at a lot of Best Western hotels and this one has by far and away the best breakfast!
Everything about this hotel is top notch. Rooms VERY comfortable and nice. Housekeeping excellent. All staff excellent. Breakfast is great, wonderful variety and everything tasted great. Check-in and check-out flawless. Fire pit outside great idea.
Looks to be a brand new hotel built in the last year. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. Breakfast selection was more than adequate and well stocked. Upon check in and check out front desk provided cleaning rags to clean up my motorcycle upon arrival and to wipe the morning dew off upon my departure. What I would expect from a Best Western and a little bit more.
We went to visit the wineries and were unfamiliar with the area so we chose to stay at the Best Western and were very happy we did. The property is new and impeccably clean. The staff is friendly and a full hot breakfast is included. The fire pits are a nice touch. The town of Hammondsport is 3 minutes by car and there is a brewery right next door.
New, ,Beautiful, friendly hotel to stay at while visiting the Finger Lakes region of New York. Rooms were great. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was excellent and very well stocked. Staff was very friendly. They allowed our group to be on the same floor and we could meet each evening in the breakfast or lobby areas. Our group would recommend this hotel very highly. Great choice to stay at and affordable.
New, clean, attractive modern decor throughout. Given a free room upgrade unasked. Full and varied free breakfast. Free hot beverages always available. Staff always greeted me and offered any assistance. This was better than I expected.
Enjoyed this hotel tremendously. We work in hospitality and always commend others when they know how to do it right! This hotel exemplifies what customer service is all about. Sue the breakfast attendant was just so pleasant and helpful, with directions, recommendations and even recipes! Will definitely be going back
the people that work here are very nice, especially the breakfast ladies. The breakfast is adequate with both hot and cold food. It wasn't crowded even though I stayed during the labor day weekend. The hotel exterior is very nice and everything is clean. The pool is really small so its good if there are only a few people in it.
The little town of Hammondsport NY is like taking a step back in your everyday life and enjoying the relaxed, laid back mode in this town. Located on Keuka Lake it has great little vibe of an upstate seaside town.
First, I must rant about Expedia. I recently was in upstate NY with my son helping him move back into his apartment for senior year of school. We drove all day from Chicago to Alfred NY, which is a teeny tiny town. The closest town with hotels is in Hornell, about 10 miles away from Alfred. So, after a LONG day of driving and then unpacking, I left my son and drove over to Hornell, where I had booked a room at the Best Western on Expedia. I got there at 10:30 at night and they had no record whatsoever of my reservation. I called and got an Expedia rep on the phone and they talked to the hotel and got the same story. Don't know what happened to my reservation! Expedia offered to "help" as she said they have a department which deals with missing reservations. While she had me on interminable hold, I looked up other area hotels and found the last room available at the Best Western Plus in Hammondsport. Thankfully! These are really small towns up there with very few hotels and there were two colleges in back to school mode, so rooms were in short supply. Anyway, hung up on Expedia after finding my own reservation - I have learned my lesson and will NEVER use Expedia again. The hotel in Hammondsport was a 45 minute drive away. I finally got there well after 11 at night so I had a brief time there. However, it was lovely! There were fires in the firepits surrounded by Adirondack chairs on the property when I pulled up. It was beautiful! The restaurant was still really busy - everybody was getting the most they could out of a late summer weekend. The hotel is very new and the rooms were spacious, clean and very well appointed. It was a comfortable night and I really enjoyed the hotel during my short time there!
We loved everything about this Best Western. The staff was so friendly and personable. All the staff we came into were wonderful. The place is beautiful and so clean. I would highly recommend this Best Western. I give it a 10+ rating.
Will be staying here again!! Great location lots of activities we enjoy. Great food; great wine; great people; can't ask for much more!!! Nice spot for a vacation with family or friends. Plain to return some time in late October of this year.
The Hotel Staff were very Friendly and helpful. The hotel has Adirondack Chairs and Fire pits outside that are absolutely wonderful to relax around after a long day. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone traveling to the Hammondsport, NY area.
A little pricey, but worth it...great amenities and the fire pits are a wonderful place to chill after a day of outdoor activities. The staff is lovely and the rooms are clean and spacious. There is plenty of food at the breakfast--a great variety and something for everyone.
Would definitely stay there again. We had a great experience. Staff went out of their way to ensure the guest was happy. Breakfast was excellent, so many choices. Very fresh. Rooms were tastefully decorated n very modern.
We had a King Suite. The room was large with a sitting area. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of lighting in the room. The air conditioning had a large dead band (about 2 degrees) between the on and off temperatures and there was a gap where the room darkening shade did not close all the way. The breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices.
Centrally located, clean, good breakfast. Fire pits were a nice touch, especially after touring wineries. We had nine in our group, spread over 3 rooms, very comfortable for all. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Fitness center was small but not crowded, well maintained. Indoor pool was fine for little ones.
Dumbfounded by how nice this hotel was. I don't think of Best Western as one of the nice hotel chains, but this particular hotel made me think again. Happened to be a very new building, apparently only about a year old, so that helps but the design was excellent, very clean and quiet, and the staff was fantastic. Great room with king bed and separate sitting area, frig and microwave, beautiful, good-sized bathroom. Will definitely go back to this hotel in the future.
Hammondsport has not had a first class hotel, although it has had some pleasant old-timey lodges. Now it has a first class place. Excellent exterior and interior design, good breakfast, comfortable rooms.
This is a year old hotel so it's very new and fresh. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as we explored the Keuka Lake area. Everything about this hotel is very nice. The outdoor appearance, the cleanliness overall, the comfort of the beds, the superb hot breakfast buffet, the sitting lounges off of the breakfast area - all very nice. There are even 2 firepits outside for conversation and relaxation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is about a two minute drive to the center of town and the lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, either staying for a night or a week.
The location was very good as it is close to the little downtown area of Hammondsport which is very quaint. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
New Hotel with all the amenities. Rooms and breakfast are top notch. Outdoor fire pits and indoor pool were nice to have. Staff and breakfast ladies were caring and professional. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the Lake or wine tasting.
I stay in a lot of hotels for business travel and I only wish they were all as clean and fresh as this one. I rarely stay in Best Western, but if any of them are like this one, then I've been making a big mistake w/ the HI Express / Courtyard / Hilton brands. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was great, clean, good coffee, you name it. Not a single thing to complain about.
Upscale hotel for the area. Walking distance to Curtiss Museum. Next door to a brewery. Short distance to Keuka Lake and downtown shops and restaurants. Really friendly staff and immaculate rooms. Fire pits are a nice touch.
In all the years we've been visiting the Finger Lakes, the Hammondsport Hotel is by far the most beautiful and modern place we've stayed. The decor is fresh and bright. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Staff members were all cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. And the complimentary breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've ever had anywhere. We'll definitely stay here again on future visits.
This BW Plus hotel was by far the nicest place we've stayed at in a while. The decor, cleanliness and quality of everything from the linens, to pillows to courtesy breakfast menu was done to perfection. The staff was wonderful all the way around. We visited the Bully Hill Winery and we were within 10 minutes of it. The Curtiss Museum of Aviation was right down the road. A gas station right next door. It had it all with location, value and comfort mixed with luxury. We plan on making it a yearly experience!
This place is just beautiful and the staff is awesome! The complementary breakfast is among the best you will find anywhere! You really can't go wrong, the center square in Hammondsport is just one mile away... Keuka Lake is even closer!
Our Family of 5 just returned from a stay. Check in was quick and gentleman was very polite. Our double queen suite was great for the 5 of us as we used the pull out sofa as well. Clean comfortable room. Bar fridge in room as well as microwave. A/C worked well. The hotel has a fitness area and pool which our teenagers enjoyed. Outside fire pits were a hit for many guest. We were also able to make use of the breakfast area to play cards at night. Free wifi was appreciated. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with a few hot items, cereals, yogurt and waffles. Very kind ladies ensured all guests were looked after. We enjoyed a very good meal across the street at Pelican Cove. Less than 5 min walk. Downtown Hammondsport/lake/resturants is a very short (3 min) drive. Would recommend this hotel. Accessible rooms available as well as a handicap lift into their pool. Suggestion: Have an outlet in the area where fridge/microwave is located so that coffee maker does not need to be in the bathroom.
This hotel is located less than 5 minutes from the little town of Hammondsport, and Keuka Lake. Three floors, not overly large, with a beautiful contemporary design. Our king room was very large, and included a little living room with sofa and chairs, set apart from the bed area by a partial wall. Bed was firm but comfortable. A/C worked great, not overly loud, not blasting air in your face. Clean, large bathroom with walk-in shower. Breakfast buffet was very extensive, hot food to cold. And the ladies taking care of it could not have been nicer or more willing to help. Desk staff also very welcoming and helpful. Nice, small indoor pool which we did not use. A bit pricey, but it was summer season at the lake.
everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The entire hotel staff were friendly and engaging. We couldn't have been more pleased. The fire pits outside the building were an added bonus. Please add another and more chairs.
We only stayed for one night (just passing through on way home from long road trip). This hotel deserves a 5 star rating. Immaculately clean, double room with two queen beds and couch, extremely large room, great price, large bathroom, a light in the shower (I could actually see for a change), frig, and drawers, a lot of storage, microwave, flatscreen TV, complimentary toiletries, comfortable beds, very helpful staff, good free breakfast, modern swipe door locks, easy free parking, outdoor fire pits, indoor pool. We had been travelling for 2 weeks. Stayed in fine hotels, Airbnbs, etc. and my husband commented this was the nicest.
This hotel is new and everyone is excited to be there. The amenities are wonderful - clean, comfortable and affordable. It is an excellent choice for a visit to the Finger Lakes (Hammondsport is a lovely little village with great little restaurants and the wineries around Keuka Lake are fabulous). It is also a nice stop when traveling between eastern New York and Pittsburgh.
We chose this hotel because it was "pet-friendly" and we were vacationing with our 80 lb. dog. The hotel is relatively new and it was spotless. All of the employees were very friendly, and the location is very close to Keuka Lake. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we are already planning a return trip.
we recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, very clean & modern. The breakfast was good, the staff was extremely friendly & caring. a special thanks to Dillon, he brought out cookies as we sat by one of the outdoor fire pits. the location is conveniently located between the village of Hammondsport & Bath . We would definitely return to this hotel again.
Just spent three nights at this hotel while my husband and I explored this part of the Finger Lakes. The staff was friendly and helpful, check in and check out went smoothly, there was a mistake on our bill and it was corrected right away. The ladies in the breakfast area kept everything running smoothly and the food was very good. The warm chocolate chip cookies each evening were a very nice touch as well. Room was comfortable and clean. We would gladly stay again when we are in the area.
I stayed overnight with my family while on our way to niagara falls canada. The rooms are clean but there was a horrible smell coming out of the shower drain. It smelled so bad that I had to put the trash can on top of the drain and leave the vent on after closing the bathroom door. Other than that the hotel was better than most hotels In the area and the price was very fair taking in consideration that breakfast is included every morning, with snacks and coffee available at all times.
This place is a must stay. Brand new and they are out to please. Beautiful quiet rooms and great breakfast. Pool was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The staff was super friendly and couldn't do enough to please.
We only stayed at this hotel for one night. It was very clean and spacious and located at the southern end of Keuka Lake. It has an indoor pool, if you're traveling with kids, which is great. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I've seen. Everything was stocked and fresh, and the employees were exceptional. I'd definitely stay again.
For the past five years a group of couples travel from NYC to the Finger Lakes for a weekend wine tour. This year's trip was exceptional due to the Best Western Hotel in Hammondsport NY. The hotel is brand new, beautiful, spotless and with all of the amenities that any traveler would want or expect. However, it's the staff, led by General Manager Karen Guinan that made this trip so exceptional. Karen and Team make you feel like a guest in their home. From effortlessly handling reservations for a large group with multiple changes to accommodations, assistance with setting up transportation for the wine tour, knowing the best wineries and type of experience to expect, and recommending dining choices. They do it all with great care and a genuine love for their customer's experience inside and outside of the hotel. Thank you Karen and Team for creating such a memorable experience for our group. See you next year!
I highly recommend the Best western in Hammondsport New York . The hotel itself is in a perfect location- A short driving distance to a number of the lakes. The rooms, the breakfast area, the lobby and indoor pool are immaculate. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. We visit finger Lakes every year and this hotel definitely on our list for our next visit!
This hotel is brand new and features a pleasant, helpful staff, and a great breakfast that is included in the room rate. It is close to the terrific Curtis Museum, downtown Hammondsport common and a brewery is its neighbor. Can't beat that!
I had a wonderful stay at this Best Western plus hotel in Hammondsport with my wife & 2 kids. We were in town to visit Watkins Glen International. The suite was comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful with great ideas for local activities. Workout room clean w/newer equipment, flooring, fresh towels. Very nice breakfast that actually tasted home made! I would highly recommend it.
The Best Western has everything you can think of. The outdoor fire pits was an unexpected surprise! Indoor pool, fitness center and internet. The breakfast was incredible. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfy and there was plenty of space IN the room for all of us. Great stay.
The hotel is very nice. New condition. Great rooms and very nice staff. Hotel located just outside the square of downtown hammondsport. Very close to all of the local restaurants and their is a great micro brewery next door
Stayed here for a single night on our way to Watkins Glen to hike. It's quite new, with modern facilities and very clean everything. The front desk workers were helpful and kind. Loved the room itself, and we slept well. Highly recommend!
This is a new hotel and therefore, very clean. It was quiet and away from traffic. It was a little out of the way but very nice. The reservation needed to be paid up front with no refund should we cancel.
I never expected such a beautiful , new hotel in this area . Don't hesitate on this one . Nicer than most of the higher end hotels I stay in often. Will definitely stay again if I am in this area . Best western clearly has both ends of the spectrum in quality . This one is great !
New property and very inviting. Hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms, great pool and exercise room and an outstanding breakfast each morning. One of the best Best Western properties we have stayed at!
Excellent stay at this new Best Western Plus! Very clean, exceptionally friendly staff, great breakfast...it was a perfect hotel stay for us. Great location minutes from Hammondsport, wineries on the hill overlooking Keuka Lake.
We stayed in Hammondsport on Lake Keuka. This hotel is located conveniently to restaurants, wineries, breweries, museums and stores. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel very welcomed. It offered a fantastic hot breakfast, WiFi, indoor pool and fire pit. It is new, clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We will definitely return!
Wonderful staff, immaculate facilities, terrific breakfast buffet. The location in Hammonsport is ideal! Would highly recommend it if you are traveling in the area and are looking for a great place to stay. The rooms are extremely spacious.
We have watched the hotel being built and this is the first chance we have had to stay there. It is hard to describe in works about what a great experience we had. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast excellent. We can't wait to stay there again
Staff were very friendly, rooms the cleanest I have experienced, beds comfortable amazing pillows. Breakfast well staffed, you never waited for anything and they came to check everything was okay. Nice hot food.
Staff outstanding...so was the breakfast and room. Pool beautiful and relaxing. This hotel was built in 2016 so it is practically new. I liked that they displayed a local artists' pictures all over. Clean as could be. Take a shower here where you can adjust the showerhead, not just get stuck with a low flow trickle.
It was our first stay at this hotel and it started and ended with warms smiles of the staff members. Before I was able to finish a sentence asking for places to eat in the area, Dylan at the desk was handing me a convenient little map and going over the choices. The room was clean and well furnished. The only issue I had was related to other guests. I assume a guest on a lower floor had a noise complain (we were walking around the room after 10:15pm...). Even the phone call from the front desk to report the complain to me was very courteous and I really appreciated that. The breakfast buffet had a big selection of good quality items. The check out was as pleasant as the check in and again, the staff was very helpful in offering information for the area's attractions. Thank you so much for providing such warm and professional service. We will be back!
Went to the Finger Lakes region. Decided upon Hammondsport. The hotel was conveniently located to town, waterfront and vineyards! Staff was beyond helpful and the hotel was very clean! Thank you and we will be back!
We don't usually stay at Best Western and won't ever again. This is a beautiful new hotel. We've been away from home for six weeks taking care of a seriously ill family member. We're on our way home now and we we're looking forward to staying somewhere nice and visiting the Bath, NY area. Shortly after we checked in, the electricity went out. We were told it would be back on again "in two hours" so we decided to stay. Meanwhile the desk was checking in guests and not mentioning the electric was out until AFTER they had paid. I watched this happen when I went to the desk to request a flashlight. Two hours later, there was still no electricity and it was beginning to get dark. We were told the electricity would be back on by 9:30pm, so we drove to Painted Post for dinner. We were back about 10pm. Still no electricity. We were told it would be back on by midnight. We went to bed. At 5am there was still no electricity. There was still no electricity when we checked out this morning. Nor was there any adjustment to the $164 bill for a stay that did not include a hot shower (no light or hot water), inability to access the internet or read, inability to use the elevator, and no hot breakfast which was included in the room rate. Unfortunately, we were on the second floor, which meant that two old ladies in their 70's had to struggle down the back stairs with their luggage. No help was offered. We had expected that there would at least be some adjustment to the bill. None was offered. When one was requested, it was flatly refused by the desk clerk. I then spoke to Karen, the Manager, who also refused to make any adjustment to the bill. We got nothing more than a very weak apology and a statement that it wasn't their fault. The bottom line is that Best Western clearly doesn't give a hoot about customer satisfaction and once they have your money, they're done with you. Keep this in mind the next time you need a hotel. I certainly will.
This was a great hotel. Close to attractions. The check-in was a little long but the staff member behind the desk was very friendly. The breakfast was really good. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stay there.
Stayed here for 3 days in May 2017. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The breakfast is fantastic (better than even much higher priced hotels) and the service was excellent. Highly recommend staying here!
We had friends stay here last summer and highly recommended it. Brand new and clean hotel, customer service oriented staff. They also had a great free breakfast and the cookies in the evening time are delicious.
In town on business and this hotel had everything I needed. Rooms are newer and pristine, plus WiFi was strong. The staff was super-friendly: not just one of them, but all that I encountered. I commandeered the business center's desktop, printer and scanner: everything seemed new and in perfect order, which saved me time and effort. Also, this was 10-minutes from one of the Finger Lakes trailheads, so I was able to get in some quick runs with some awesome scenery(and some challenging climbs). I'll definitely be back.
Booked a party for my 6yo son over a month in advance and specifically asked if we could have a pool party . then 4 days before the party they told us that the conference doesn't include the pool. Now I have to get ahold of all the other parents and tell them where the party is. Which I don't know because everywhere is booked. left us out in the rain.
All members of the hotel staff were great. Without exception, there were, pleasant, courteous, ready will and able to provide for their guests and were very happy to answer questions about the attractions in the area.
This hotel is fabulous as most people have already stated. It is walking distance to Glen Curtis Museum, also short drive to Hammonsport. It is new modern and very bright and clean, spotless is a better word. We only stayed one night on the way back to Toronto, wished it could have been more. We were upgraded to a suite room without asking as the hotel was lightly booked on a Sunday night . I love the support the management shows for artisans in the area, the use of hand crafted barrel products was wonderful. I agree about the bed in two queen bed suites being close to the air conditioner but with the size of the suite and the seating area provided there is really no other option, I also mentioned to the wonderful young gentleman at the front desk they need a media hub in rooms with USB ports, luckily I travel with one. This is truly a Best Western Plus grade hotel unlike one we had stayed at earlier in our trip that was very inferior to this one. The towels were thick and plush and in great supply in the room, shower pressure was perfect. We travel to the US quite a bit and usually stay with another chain only because Best Western Plus not as prevalent. The service provided goes a long way to promote the Brand and this hotel certainly stand out for me. If I decided to back to the Finger Lake area in future I would certainly use this location as my base.
We stayed here for 2 nights while wine tasting and we couldn't be happier. Rooms were clean and spacious with everything we needed. Staff was friendly and accommodating to anything we needed. They also have chairs outside around fire pits for those chilly nights when you want to hangout outdoors. Will stay here again for our next wine tasting trip.
I can not say enough about this establishment. The staff, ALL STAFF are phenomenal. You can see how the Manager Karen has picked and trained the best customer service, tentative, professional, knowledgeable employees to be part of her team. Karen herself was wonderful, you can see that she was very involved with the hotel guests, always a smile and available to listen to each guest that approached her. Clearly she leads by example with her staff. My boyfriend and I traveled for a quick extended weekend with our two small dogs and all of us were welcomed. They never once gave any issue or concern to the pets, actually the dogs and staff enjoyed seeing each other in the halls. The hotel was spotless and the surroundings and décor of each area of the hotel very soothing. Our room was comfortable and clean. The value and the atmosphere of this Hotel gives the vacation homes a bit of competition! If you do plan a stay, be sure to meet Sue, Kyle, Rebecca and of course the Manager always on duty, Karen. Your stay will be a wonderful experience!
we really enjoyed our stay, the staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nicely done, the décor, the bedding was comfortable and the room cozy. The breakfast was extremely varied and tasty.
My rating is "couldn't be better". I travel a lot and often stay in 5 star hotels world wide. The front desk here is personable, warm and abundantly helpful. We intended to go to Watkins Glen as part of our three generation, guys long weekend. After speaking with the woman own the morning shift about our plans, we skipped Watkins Glen and on her advice, followed her suggested route for the day around the Finger Lakes, to the Bully Hill Vineyards and around the Lake doing exactly what she suggested...and we had a day we'll never forget. The facility is really nice. Great gym equipment, good buffet options (including mild, medium and STRONG coffee). The room was a nice size and my big 15 y/o son said the sofa bed was the best he's slept on in a while. Our beds were the most comfortable by far of the three hotels we stayed in over this three night weekend trip. Clean, quiet...my best nights sleep. I would go out of my way if I'm near this hotel to re-visit. My only regret was that I didn't get the name of the morning front desk person, a female, w/glasses, curly hair and big, pleasant, smile who couldn't do enough to make our stay and trip better.
Great Hotel. Everything is new , clean and very well cared for. Staff were polite, smiling and very helpful. Breakfast was very good . I was staying for recreational purposes, it is a small town, with this lovely gem of a hotel. Nothing in this area compares..
Beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff. Clean, smells good, comfortable beds, great indoor pool area, great breakfast. Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel and it's employees. They went out of their way to be helpful and polite.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and spacious with comfortable bed. There were some minuses: the air conditioner was a bit cold and noisy, and we could not open the window to get some air (since we did not use the air conditioner). The hotel could have been greener, using actual dinnerware instead of plastic ones. We stayed here for two nights but there was no housekeeping cleaning the room after the first night.
The hotel is brand new , they opened 2016, so every thing is new and clean. The room and bathroom are all spacious, but too bad, no bathtub, so can't take hot bath. The wall between rooms is kind of thin, because I can heard next room's voice, and snoring. The bed is very comfortable, the water pressure are good. All staff are very friendly. The breakfast is good, very fresh. The pool is kind small. The gym open 24 hrs, which is very good. And the room come with microwave and fridge. We all enjoy our sta.
This hotel is beautiful and the employees we encountered were all welcoming and friendly. They want to make sure you are taken care of and there are no problems and ask just to make sure. The room was spacious and we had a walk in shower that was big enough for three people. It depends on where your room is in this hotel. Near the road, we heard a bit of road noise, this time we were at a different location in the hotel and we did not hear anything. The pool was clean and the fireplace in the lobby was on when we came in for the evening. We would stay here again. Breakfast was great and they do pay attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel.
Excellent motel, very clean with friendly, professional staff! Check-in was a breeze with check-in staff pointing out amenities from swimming pool, fitness room, business center and what was available for breakfast. Warm chocolate chip cookies were very good!
New and updated hotel. Conveniently located. Staff was warm and inviting. They were helpful acclimating us to town. Excellent value with amenities for the price. Good variety fr breakfast, well maintained
This hotel is brand new and was exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked and the food was very good. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from downtown Hammondsport and close to many Keuka Lake wineries. I would stay there again.
Stayed here for a few nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the staff was extremely nice. The hotel is very nice and brand new. We were extremely happy with our visit.
Not sure how long ago this hotel opened but it is very new, the rooms are spacious with tall sealing and great amenities. The location is very convenient as well, close to a lot of city center. Overall a great stay for the Finger Lakes adventure.
Great hotel, very nice staff. rooms are great and also have a fridge and microwave. Also has one of the best breakfasts in the morning included. this was sour second time staying here, and we will definatley be staying again.
I loved the decor. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated in the modern style. I bathroom was great. The toilet was not low and there was a beautiful walk in shower with safety bar. No bathtub. The breakfast was well prepared. For the Belgium waffles they had homemade strawberry topping and blueberry. First time that I saw a Belgium waffle maker with 4 separate sections. Highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel just opened in Jun, 2016. It is well designed and absolutely immaculate. The staff were all friendly and professional. The rates were surprisingly affordable. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying overnight in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York.
What a pleasant surprise. Caring staff that treat the hotel as if it was their own home. The hotel is immaculately kept and for a large hotel , very quiet. Really loved the rooms , breakfast was great as well.
The hotel opened middle of this year, 2016. Friends had stayed here during a wine run in August, and suggested this location as the meet up location. Nice new hotel, helpful staff and colorful fun guests. The bummer was the electronically impaired desk clerk that could not help with getting Samsung Hospitality TV in the room switched to another HDMI port for Netflix movie :-( Downloaded remote app to smart phone, and was able to switch myself and had a happy night. Very small distraction in the grand scheme of things, and enjoyed the nice large room, double queens and sitting area. Close to old town Hammondsport. That is all ....
Stayed the weekend for Wine Touring and this Hotel was great for our 3 couples. Great location and everything you need. Location was key for the Keuka Lake and West side of Seneca Lake wineries. New facility, very helpful staff, clean and breakfast was just what we needed to get day started. Would return anytime in this area again.
My girlfriend and I celebrate dour one-year anniversary this past weekend and we stayed at this hotel while we visited the Finger Lakes. It still ahs the brand new smell and the staff was very courteous. The room was very nice with a lounge area. It is not right in Hammondsport's town, but only a little over a mile away. The negative on the place is the free breakfeast tasted like a free breakfeast.
The Best Western in Hammondsport is a nice place to stay if you're doing a Keuka Lake wine tour. The hotel is very clean and they serve a nice breakfast. There aren't too many hotels in Hammondsport, but it's a lot closer to wineries than the ones in Bath. It might cost a little more than those Bath hotels, but it's worth it for the cleanliness.
Great Hotel , Great visit. This hotel is very new (just opened in June). The staff is just great, very friendly. I know its new, but rooms very clean, facility very well kept. Nice pool, (dient 't use), and a very nice outside firepit, great for sipping the locale wine. Breakfast great and very nice staff. Manager visits at breakfast and greats guests. This is located right in the wine country and close to everything. Keep up the good work and this place will do well
Excellent service from start to finish! We chose based on the good reviews online and were not disappointed, Clean rooms and comfy! Breakfast buffet was standard fair, but well presented. Loved the fire pit.
WOW! What a fantastic hotel: Gas fireplaces in the lobby and two fire pits outside; Hot breakfast served until 10am; Rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable, and still feels brand new! AND it was reasonably priced - with $ left over for wine! Dylan & Vinnie are so accommodating and customer-focused! Best hotel stay in a long time! Thanks Best Western for a great birthday weekend!!
Just stayed over night for a get a way. New hotel, very quiet with pool and workout room. Rooms are very large. Breakfast in the morning was very good with a large selections of options to choose from. It is also closed to the village of Hammondsport (5 to 10 mins.) with many fine restaurants to choose from. Ate at Timber side grille on recommendation of front desk, excellent meal. Leaves on the hills and day were just perfect. Would highly recommend the hotel and we will be back in the future.
We spent 3 nights here while touring the Finger Lakes Region of New York. The hotel is new, clean and very well designed. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, even calling to tell me that I had left my charger behind. The breakfast service was outstanding with a great presentation and plenty of room. The food was fresh and appealing.
Every employee with whom we interacted at the Best Western Plus Hammondsport greeted us with a smile and was very helpful. They made sure we knew where everything was without being prompted and without being overbearing. This was particularly appreciated at breakfast. We are quite fond of the Finger Lakes area and were really impressed with all of the local artwork through out the facility. The biplane suspended over the ceiling and photos of Curtis motorcycles, local wineries, museums, and of course the lake speak volumes of the owner's passion for, and understanding of, the area. Our guest room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
On a visit to Corning Museum we decided to stay in Hammondsport and enjoy the best of both and certainly did! Great location, we had easy access to Corning and Hammondsport and all the charm of that village, just perfect. New facility with a great staff and wonderful accommodations.
This 4 months old hotel is a gem. We stayed there , this week on Tues the 25th, on our way to our yearly visit to Niagara Falls and the National Shrine of Fatima Virgin in Lewiston NY(which should be visited by every body, Christian or not, because is beautiful.) Everything in this hotel is perfect. The lobby: wide, luminous . Sitting area at the lobby: fireplace on, which it was great with the temperature being in the 30's outside. The room : very comfortable, very, very clean, great sitting area with a couch, Even with an ergonomic desk chair. Bathroom: very clean too, all the necessities plus an impecable white curtain with great shower. The gym: with more machines than at other hotels. Indoor pool: nice area around it with tables and chairs. The complimentary hot full breakfast: big sitting area. Anything you want for breakfast is there. Excellent! Three waitresses ready to help. Brian Harris , the owner, very personable and friendly young fellow, should be congratulated , he thought of every little detail. He came over to our breakfast table( as he was doing with everybody else ) to greet us and talk to us, even though he was very busy with a Chamber of Commerce meeting going on. Front guest : both Dylan , in the late afternoon and Leanne and Anne in the morning very friendly and welcoming. This hotel that is only 2 has from Niagara and it should be imitated by the Best Western chain everywhere .We HIGHLY recommend it.
Hotel fairly new, great accomedations, very friendly staff.Pool was on the cool side but ok.Fire pits outside were great. The breakfast the next morning was very filling and hot.Would diffinetly stay here again.
We have traveled to the Finger Lakes for weekend getaways for the past 12 years. The Best Western Plus Hammondsport at the southern tip of Keuka Lake is a wonderful addition to the area. Most of the hotels are at the northern end, I was very happy when they opened this past June. Close proximity to restaurants and the wineries. Nice hotel, good swimming pool and great breakfast. We will return on our next trip.
After reviewing info on this hotel, I chose it to be our destination for our short visit to this immediate area. Very satisfied with the choice. We then traveled to Ithaca for a one night stay. The Best Western there was no comparison to the BW Hammondsport Hotel.
The Best Western in Hammondsport was much more than we expected! The rates are reasonable, rooms are phenomenal, clean, with a beautiful view out our window. Most important - The staff was very accommodating. The desk clerk greeted us with a smile, later Dillon was so nice! Obviously they love their jobs. Great customer service! Added perk... They offer coffee and warm chocolate chip cookies all night! Definitely a winner!
Let me start off by saying that I haven't stayed at a BW in over 20 years. I don't associate BW with good service and clean rooms. I'm Hilton Silver and usually choose that brand. We chose BW because we were traveling with a couple that had a pet. BW is pet friendly. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The hotel is new, clean, spacious and the service is outstanding. The rooms are impeccably clean and modern. The staff went above and beyond to assist you. My Brother in law lost his key and when we called the hotel to cancel the key they offered to go check the parking lot to see if he had dropped it there. They called us back to let us know that it had been found. That was really nice! The complimentary breakfast was generous and the breakfast area was very clean. It was nice that they changed the selection daily. The fire pit was very nice too. The pool area, although we didn't use it, looked clean and inviting. The location is very central for the wine trail. There aren't too many restaurants in the area, so be prepared to drive a bit for dinner. The hotel is brand new and I'm sure it will become a popular place to stay. It would be a treat if they hosted a happy hour since it is still relatively remote. We would definitely stay here again. Great job BW!
Brand new hotel. Design, decor and finish were excellent. Room spacious, with a separate couch and chair. Good in-room internet. Excellent breakfast included; much better than what I have experienced at other moderately priced hotels. Staff were very friendly. I am sure they would have been helpful if I would have had a problem but fortunately we did not. Generous parking and close to everything. Great value for money. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hammondsport!
We were very pleased with this property! It was definitely first class all the way for a casual stay. I highly recommend it. Hammondsport is a lovely small town and the hotel is very convenient to the downtown area and Keuka Lake.
I found the hotel on trip advisor. It was a good choice based on other travelers recommendations. Nice hotel, very clean and new. Very comfortable beds. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and abundant. I would stay there again.
The staff were all friendly, rooms clean and new. The breakfast was very complete - scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles , yogurt, breads , bagels cereals ! Right across the street from The Glen Curtiss museum. Nice pool and 2 gas fire pits with adirondack chairs.
Staying in a new hotel can have it's advantages and disadvantages. This new hotel was extremely clean as one would expect and everything about the accommodations were modern and comfortable. In some instances, a new hotel/restaurant might have some kinks with staffing or final construction to work out but not in this case. The staff and the service provided was top notch. The breakfast and helpful staff there was about as good as it gets for a chain hotel breakfast. We didn't use the pool for gym but took advantage of a couple of the other nice features. The warm cookies in the breakfast are were a wonderful snack before going to bed, and even though it was a bit cold, sitting around one of the fire pits at the end of the building was a treat. We had made last minute plans to get away for a short, holiday (Indigenous Peoples day), hoping to find someplace as a base for a trip to Letchworth Park with the challenge of finding someplace where we could bring our dog. The Best Western Plus fit the bill and we'll likely stay here again the next time we want to stay in the area.
If you are looking for a clean, friendly place - this is it! The staff were exceptional and the breakfast phenomenal. The location is very convenient and offers quick access to downtown Hammondsport, Keuka Lake, and the many local wineries. The fireplaces outside were a nice touch, as was the indoor swimming pool. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great job guys!
Loved this hotel !! Great customer service. Cookies throughout stay was awesome. The staff was friendly and offered help and recommendations to the area when needed. Would stay again and recommend this hotel.
We had a quiet room on the third floor (except for the 4 AM evacuation, alarm went off). Did not use pool. Breakfast room and lobby area quite attractive. The eggs, potatoes, sausages were all made by a cook, not institutional. And the cook and desk workers were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value.
You can't go wrong with this hotel. It was opened only in July, and the place looks absolutely spotless. The rooms are large, extremely comfortable and very beautifully appointed. Breakfast is in a large room on the first floor, and is exceptional for its variety of food and the quality of its presentation. The staff at the front desk is extremely accommodating and helpful. This is not your usual chain hotel. It has many amenities, and treats every guest like a valued customer. I'll be back when next in the area.
This hotel opened a few months ago and everything still looks and smells brand new. It was a very quiet place on a cool and rainy weekend. The beds were really comfortable. The staff didn't necessarily know a lot about the area but were more than willing to help me with questions.
We were happily greeted by KAY at the front desk. She had all kinds of information on the area, restaurants and wineries at her fingertips for us, as well as booklets! This NEW hotel is pleasantly decorated and CLEAN. Beds are comfortable. SUE greeted everyone in the mornings at the free breakfast, offering to help make waffles or let us know where we can find different food items on the large buffet. I have to say the staff at this hotel dressed very professionally and was exceptionally friendly with everyone. What a delight in today's world! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Very close to the square in Hammondsport!
Very nice addition to hammondsport area. Extremely nice and professional staff. Excellent breakfast, nice rooms. The area needed more hotel rooms, I do not think it will hurt the small hotels. I usually do not stay at Best Western but was very impressed.
After an extenuating circumstance I needed a hotel room short notice. The staff, especially Vincent, went out of their way to make sure I had the best accommodations. I am so appreciative to how friendly and helpful they all were! Highly recommend!
Brand new hotel - very nice and clean and staff extremely helpful - particularly the breakfast ladies! Fire pits outside are a great idea - we enjoyed sitting around them after dinner. Great location for visiting the local wineries.
Brand new hotel with everything we needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was as complete as we have ever seen. Also check out some of the wineries in the area.
While I felt the price was a bit high for the area, the hotel was beautiful and clean. Staff was courteous and helpful, breakfast was great, and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely great for a family or even a romantic weekend.
I made this trip with 7 others and chose this motel based on the recommendation of 2 of our fellow travelers who have been to the area many times. This new motel just opened at the end of June and was very nice overall. It is very well situated near the south end of Keuka Lake and Hammondsport, NY. It is ideal for traveling up either side of the lake to the various wineries and restaurants. We will go back in the future.
On last minute whim, we decided to spend week-end in finger lakes region on way home from western MA. We wanted to visit a winery known for its Reisling near Hammondsport. All B & B's were booked, so we took a chance on Hammondsport Best Western Plus. What a fortuitous find! The hotel is brand new and in pristine condition. The staff is ever so friendly and checked with us in our stay to see if we had any needs. Coffee machine with fresh chocolate chip cookies always available in lobby. Complimentary Breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, 2 types of waffles with several syrups, cold & hot cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. The fitness room has state of the art elliptical, treadmill, 2 stationary bikes and good assortment of weights-all in top condition. The hotel is in great location to explore Hammondsport or take in Keuka wine Trail. We've never used Best Western before, but due to this excellent experience, we will seek other BW in future.
This is a brand new modern hotel with a very friendly accomodating staff. The front lobby is beautiful and tastefully decorated We were warmly welcomed for our one night stay. We did not have a reservation. We had a king suite that was as fine as a fine luxury hotel. The cleanliness and comfort...outstanding. The bed was fresh and comfortable, the shower and bathroom was spotless, bright and clean. The A/C worked well and fairly quiet. Breakfast was complimentary and one of the best all inclusive breakfasts I have experienced lately. They had everything and great coffee. The staff was attentive and informative and very friendly. Dylan who booked us into our room is an asset to this company. He also gave us great directions for a scenic ride to our next destination. He informed us of a firepit ( actually 2 of them) that would be lit up at night. We sat around on adirondack chairs by the fire. A lovely place. I would stay here again given the chance
This 2-month old hotel sits in a perfect spot for those wishing to enjoy Hammondsport and the Glenn Curtiss Aviation Museum. The staff is dressed rather formally and their attitude and manners matches their attire. It was nice to be treated as special guests. The rooms are large, everything is done in grays and blacks and is clean and fresh. The bathroom had a shower stall rather than a bath tub. The breakfast was amazing! Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, 6 toppings for yogurt, 3 types of juice, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, bagels and cream cheese. And the woman who was overseeing the dining area was pure delight. Once again, very professional. The only thing that would improve the place is central heat and air-coniditoning.
