    « Friedly, caring staff »

We had a king room, nice and quiet despite the hotel being quite busy. We enjoyed using the pool and fitness center. We stayed on a Wednesday and the staff had a customer appreciation dinner. They had a chili cook off with three chilies, what a fun idea!!!!! The hotel is a short car ride to downtown where you can explore restaurants and galleries.

« Always happy to arrive »

This property is easy to locate, quite, exceptionally clean, good value, and within easy distance of all services. I've stayed at other reviewed properties in Elko over the years, but this has been my go-to for quite a while now. I stay here when traveling between California and Utah. Great value, especially if you are in a position to take advantage of paying in advance. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are immaculate. Generous hours for breakfast - particularly for those who are EARLY risers. Parking lot is well lit.

    « Enjoyed a good sleep »

Clean room, good service, pet-friendly room, a good sleep, and best of all, one block from the ice cream parlour! Friendly staff at this hotel. Get off the road for a good sleep here at the Best Western.

    « Clean and Friendly! »

While on our way to Las Vegas for the Glass Craft and Bead Expo, we opted to stay in Elko so that we could dine at The Star (but that's another review)! We chose the Best Western Elko. While the management was fantastic, and the facilities were older, but clean, the business next door decided to clean their parking lots at 2:00 am! While I understand that this is beyond the control of the Inn, it was a bit annoying. We spoke with management the next morning during breakfast and she stated that she was going to talk to the owner of the business and see what could be done, as we were not the only guests to comment on the issue. My only caution to readers of this review is to check to see if the issue has been corrected, OR make sure you have a room that is not facing The Boot Barn!

Had everything we needed staff was very friendly, very clean and comfortable beds could tell they were updating things, a variety of breakfast items pool and hot tub were clean grand daughter loved the warm cookies every evening

    « Another great stay »

We keep returning to this hotel and it does not disappoint. What is most noticeable is the excellent service, and special mention this trip to Denise and Patsy. They were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The most recent change is a coffee corner in the dining room. What a nice addition. It is out of the way of the main hot breakfast area and easily accessible. The breakfast choices here are always plentiful and good. Thanks for making us comfortable along the road.

    « Quick stay »

Great hotel and staff. We needed a place to stay after along day of travel. We happened to end up here, and we are very happy about it. We even stayed there again on our return trip back East. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

« It's obvious why this Best Western ranks high in Elko! »

I find Best Westerns to be a mixed bag, so rely heavily on Tripadvisor reviews before staying in one. Elko is the only reasonable size town/city midway between Salt Lake City and Reno. Considering its size, there are a lot of hotels in Elko. The Best Western consistently is one of, if not the top ranked hotel there. The Best Western is not one of the newer hotels in Elko. But, from the time you enter, it is obvious the property is extremely well maintained and as importantly, you feel welcome. There are posters in the common areas featuring quotes about the importance of customers. It isn't lip service. All of the employees we encountered clearly embrace 'the value of customers'. There was a line waiting to check in when I arrived. The busy clerks regularly reassured us 'it would not be long' and encouraged us to have another delicious warm cookie! The evening we arrived they were having a complimentary 'Customer Appreciation Dinner'. I've encountered this once at another Best Western. Although certainly not an every night occurrence, it was nice not to have to get in the car again to figure out where we wanted to go to dinner. I believe it was the manager who circulated through the room to greet us and chat it up with those who wished to be engaged. It was clear she cared about your experience at the hotel. She mentioned we would see her again the next morning at breakfast (and we did). The hotel is easy to find on the main street, close to the middle of town. It is L shaped with the indoor pool/hot tub/fitness center in the front, so I think very few rooms get much street noise. We were in the back, on the first floor and did not hear people moving around above us or on either side. The room was quite spacious and immaculately clean. There were plenty of towels and the wifi was good. The bed was comfortable and there was a small fridge and microwave. The heater was a bit noisier than we would have liked, but we were quite comfortable with it turned off. They had a nice business center tucked behind the stairwell. The computer was easy to use and the printer ready to go. They did not charge to print off a document. Breakfast was usual Best Western fare. They open it at 4 or 5am as many of their customers work in the mines an hour away. Therefore, breakfast ends earlier than some places. It was a fantastic stay and a good example of how one location of a franchise can shine head and shoulders above its other locations. We would plan a trip to stop over and stay there versus going 1-2 hours more along our way (and that's saying a lot for us!)

« Nice hotel, nice staff »

The room was spacious, great bed and pillows. Early breakfast for us early risers. Breakfast has a nice variety of food, hot and cold. The coffee was really good. Good value overall, nice staff. Thanks to all staff there.

« Spacious rooms, nice pool and good hot breakfast »

Traveling through and got a room walking in. Very reasonable. Large room, clean indoor pool and hot tub. Good luggage carts to take in our suitcases. Good hot breakfast included. Hotel was quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

« Nice place to stay when traveling through Nevada »

This Inn was clean, comfortable, and a nice place to overnight on our way to ski Sun Valley from California. The staff was friendly and the rates reasonable. Most importantly the place was quiet, very clean and comfortable as I slept well. Parking is available out from the lobby.

    5
    « Excellent! »

Our room was very clean and well appointed. The location was excellent for attending an event at the convention center and within minutes of most everything else. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was bountiful and included freshly scrambled eggs and delicious biscuits everyday!

« The Best at Best ...Lately »

Stayed on 1/16/18 100% non-smoking. There is truck parking but only if your truck is lower than 12ft. You can park next door in the Boot Barn parking lot. James at the front desk was very informative and helpful! Nice clean room. They gave me a "pet" room but I couldn't tell the difference and there was no smell. Amenities included a Mid-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. TV had a good selection of DirecTV channels In the bathroom they had soap and shampoo dispensers. I'm not a big fan of these, and not a deal breaker, but luckily I bring my own stuff. They also had a built in hairdryer. Free full tasty hot breakfast!! A few casinos down the road. I didn't have any time to try any of them out. Best Western is slowly becoming one of my favs! I stayed with them again, at a different location, the next night.

« Try not to smile. »

I went for cowboy poetry with a friend. When we checked in the manager was outside smoking along with his tattoo d girlfriend. He looked as if he just came out of recovery. He checked us in with no smile. I tried to make him laugh , he looked dazed . The room was not very clean shower was still wet ? No toilet paper. Also a weird fountain frozen out front. Odd management However. They had plenty of parking.

    4
« Been here a number of times »

I have stayed here a number of times and it has always been nice. It's also pet friendly. They try to do a great job. They will also get you to where ever you need to go. Close to a selection of food.

« This Best Western is a Wonderful Surprise! »

Our overnight room (#102) was a surprisingly delightful room with wonderful bright lighting, a very comfy bed, very clean and even a Carbon Monoxide Sensor! The Internet worked great and the TV had more channels than you could ever hope to watch! Two suggestions we had were to fix the loose lamp on the right side of the bed and the sneaky shower head that squirted directly on the floor outside the tub! We would definitely stay here again!

« Very pleasant, restful night. Great breakfast »

Arrived late, staff very helpful. Room was very comfortable, with a pleasant temperature, and good beds. Had a great night sleep, workout facilities and pool was nice. Checkout staff very pleasant and helpful.

    « Nice »

Overall things are clean and nice. I love that they were pet friendly. Free breakfast is always nice so we don't haveeave and stop to eat later. I only wish that all best westerns were pet friendly. Thank you.

    « a good place to say »

a good room at a fair price. we had a large room with a comfortable bed and a really good breakfast. price was competitive with other places in Elko. staff was helpful finding a place for dinner. will stay there when we come back again.

    « Holiday trip »

the facility and staff were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. the price of the room was good. The bed was firm and comfortable. The room was a comfortable size. The breakfast was fine. With a good selection of things to eat. The hotel was easy to find and close to places to eat on the main street.

    « good place »

Nice clean place with pool and great breakfast in the morning. Starts at 4AM until 11AM. We stayed at a Best Western Plus in Bozeman and were totally happy with it. The boys were so happy with that place that they insisted on staying at another Best Western. They got to swim and were happy.

    « Good value »

Good place to stop on the drive back from SLC to San Francisco. It is near the rail line but this didn't bother me. Beds are okay. Staff was very pleasant. Please place the gluten-free option sign in a place where it is noticed in the breakfast room. We just assumed it was not available ( our mistake as we didn't ask) but we saw it near the cereal as we were leaving. Place seems good for families with kids.

    « lovely stay »

I was able to book online in a few minutes with their website-the staff at check in was super friendly and helpful and check out was just as breezy-the room was clean and didn't smell weird like some hotels do which was cool

« Came to our rescue »

At 11 PM I had a health crisis, and the young man at the front desk directed us to the nearest E.R., where I spent half the night. The next morning, the young lady at the desk went out of her way to help me get hot water to make herb tea. (The first attempt didn't make the water hot enough, so she made a second and successful attempt.) The hotel room was nice, but what will always stick in my mind was the kindness of the staff when I was feeling so bad.

« Do not stay here! People have sex in common areas! And staff blow you off! »

On our way to check out we saw people having sex in the hot tub! The door to the pool and hot tub area is glass and looks directly into the hot tub. I tried to talk to the girl with the dark red hair and she wouldn't even listen to me so I took my family out of there without even checking out! My kids are 3 and 7 and this is supposed to be a family friendly hotel?

« VULGAR PLACE PEOPLE HAVING SEX IN HOTTUB! horrible breaskfast lazy staff »

The many small issues: Breaskfast was terrible. The gravy was so watery it was like a thin soup and the eggs tasted bad. There were no smiles and both staff memebers acted as if my checking in was interupting their social time. The room wasn't cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere except the area under the tv and the table and the sheets had stains. There was no soap or shampoo and when I called the front desk her angry sigh was extremely audible over the phone and the soap and shampoo never came. The unforgivable issue: PEOPLE WERE HAVING SEX IN THE HOTTUB!!!!!! I'm horrified to think I almost brought my granddaughter! This happened AFTER BREAKFAST!!! I will NEVER stay there again!

    « Good stay »

Hotel was nice everyone was friendly and helpful food was good the only thing they need to change is to add a couple of more handicap parking spaces I only seen one but I was still able to park close to the entrance

    « Best Western Elko »

As usual, Best Westerns have the best beds. For me anyway. Breakfast wasn't fantastic, but was well presented and tasted good. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, especially the late night shift lady who helped me out with personal products since my luggage was lost for 4 days. An older hotel, but well maintained and close to everything you need. A very pleasant stay and the rooms are very sound proof and I wasn't disturbed by outside noise.

« Good pet friendly overnight stay »

We had a long drive home from Moab to Cali so at the last minute we decided to split it in half and spend a night in Elko NV. Best Western Plusses are one of our "go to" hotels but there wasn't one around so I booked this hotel. That was a great move. This is a Plus quality property at regular BW prices. Excellent room with good mattresses. If you have a dog with you see if you can get 154. It is the perfect pet room. Anything in the 150 / 140s would be good. Have dinner at the La Fiesta Mexican restaurant a few blocks away. That was great. This was a nice stay all the way around.

  • 5
    « Quick travel stop »

Facilities and rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and concerned about our welfare and travels. The breakfast was much better than the plastic fake food found at other higher priced lodges!

    5
« Amazing service and value »

This hotel was amazing - staff members bend over backwards to exceed expectations. They even served us a free "customer appreciation" dinner - included beer, wine, pop, coffee and two types of cookies for dessert. Breakfast was great too. Rooms are roomy and very clean. Hotel is well-maintained. I love that they have decaff in the lobby in the evening and I like their flavoured creamers.

    1
    « Needs improvement »

This hotel was overpriced and overrated on another travel site. It needs updating. I was thoroughly disappointed I paid $149 a night and they offered dial shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast wasn't even worth being free, awful. The hot water in the lobby was cold for tea. The only amenity worth giving a high rating to was the comfort level of the beds. The pillows could be replaced. The way the room was set up was inconvenient and the television was tiny. They hike up the price when there's an emergency on the highway and Your stuck in this awful town so you don't have a choice because everyone is looking for a place to stay.

    5
« Best Western Stay in Elko, NV »

I was very satisfied with everything. Was, especially, happy with the service and the friendliness of the employees. I had driven into Elko and was thinking of looking around for the hotel I would prefer. I looked at Yelp, prices and some hotel chains I had stayed in before. The attitude of the people at check-in was outstanding, so, I decided to stay at Best Western and was glad I did.

« Jetted tub spits out dirt. »

Unsupervised kids in pool & spa. Running up & down hall. The breakfast food was cold any the coffee tasted burnt. No one but kids could get to the waffle maker. The worse part was dirt coming out of the jets on tub.

    4
    « Traveling through »

Found this Best Western hotel convenient, well kept and comfortable and pet friendly as well. Just what a traveller needs. We recommend this hotel for those passing through and for those needing a multiple nights stay.

    4
    « A great value for Elko »

Very nice, clean rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, not great, but adequate. Exterior appearance is only so-so, but I don't really care about that. For some reason hotels in Elko are expensive and this is the best value I have found.

    4
    « Nice Interstate Stop-over »

On our way home to Colorado from Crater Lake, we stayed at the Elko Best Western. Nice hotel. On checking in, the desk clerk was courteous (but a bit clueless regarding restaurants) and there were baked cookies (yippee!). The property feels new-ish and is well maintained. The room was rather typical of similar hotels. Of major importance to me is cleanliness. It was clean. Nice. It fit our needs for the night. A side comment: the desk clerks were young and appeared to be new. They were clueless about places to eat. And took no initiative to try to find places. A travel hotel like this should have some dining recommendations.

    5
« high quality Elko option »

This property is easy to find, on the Idaho Street hotel strip in Elko. It has all the usual amenities I expect with a Best Western, including an excellent breakfast, good rooms and a pleasant and efficient staff. We will use this hotel again.

    5
    « exelent »

the room was very clean comfortable bed and very quiet away from the higway noise there is plenty of space to park since we had a long hallmark trailer we had no problem finding space with in the hotel parking lot. clean breakfast room and very nice indoor pool.

« Very comfortable; good service »

Would stay here again. Roomy, clean, good amenities, quiet room, good lighting, comfortable bed. Loved the fantastic customer service. Close to gas stations and restaurants. Healthy breakfast selections.

    3
    « Pros and cons »

Pros: Fast, friendly check in. Good breakfast. Cons: View from our window: vacant field with trash blowing around. No comforter on bed. Nightstand lampshade shattered. Room lighting a mixture of blue bulbs and yellow bulbs. Shower head clogged. Very slow internet, less than 1 mbp, useless. Have to sign in constantly to wifi. $118 seemed high for this.

    4
« Clean hotel, friendly staff »

We stayed for one night at this property & had a good experience. Hotel & the room was clean. Even though a bit dated, everything worked great & the bed was comfortable. The staff is friendly & willing to help if you forgot anything. They even price-matched online. This property does allow dogs which is great. My only complaint though is to not allow them in the breakfast area. Some guests hold their dogs & bring them right up to the food buffet.

    5
« Good place to Stay »

Pleasant staff. Helpful. Very clean. Parking was great. Staff recommended places to eat. Good recommendation. Easy to find from directions on their site. Outside of hotel is clean and well cared for. Water fall is a nice feature.Lobby is nice and very clean. Breakfast room clean and neat.

    4
« nice place in Elko »

convenient, clean, good hotel. breakfast had 2 attendants and good selection. was difficult to read in bed with side table light. Shower control was too high to reach (unless I stood on the tub side) Staff was friendly, fast. competent.

    3
« Rooms could be a bit more clean »

Have stayed at this hotel a few nights multiple times, housekeeping could use a bit of help with standards of cleanliness. Upon arrival bathroom was a bit dirty, hairs on tub and floor. Carpet seemed to not have been vacuumed even after staying for 3 days same trash on the floor upon arrival and departure.

    5
    « Easy stay. »

Easy reservations online. Easy freeway on/off from I-80. Large no hassle parking area adjacent to hotel. Check in fast and professional, very helpful, all rooms are interior rooms located in several hallways with upstairs/downstairs and elevator. Room was well appointed and clean, everything worked as it should, lots of convenient electrical outlets. Bed was large and comfortable, pillows very comfortable. Only problem we had was there was only one luggage stand in our room and we had two large suitcases to unpack. Called desk and requested an additional luggage rack for us to us but was told "none were available", but that they would bring us an extra chair to use as a luggage stand instead. No one ever brought anything to our room or called. In room Wi-Fi worked good and connected easily, working well. Breakfast next morning was pretty good with an above average selection of items, but were out of several items we were interested in. Was told by staff that "additional refill of items was imminent" (we were waiting for eggs and ham) so we waited...never came while we were there so we ate other items instead. Also, if you don't get into the dining area early it can be difficult to find seating, we had to wait for a table, even the bar area was full. Check out was fast and professional. Overall we were impressed with our stay and the property and plan on returning when in the area.

    « Decent »

Traveled here with our dog as a stop on a larger road trip. Decent room but slightly funky smell, short walk to a large park for dog- walking, and a short drive to the main downtown area. Didn't try breakfast or the pool but the 24 hour services are a nice amenity.

    « Sep 2017 »

Love this hotel! Indoor pool/spa is open all the time! Breakfast is always great! This is a great place to stay if you have pets! The beds are comfortable! Great location off the freeway. Elko is a nice place to visit, there are always activities going on.

Excellent accommodations. Nice property, clean appealing outside and in, good location, pet friendly with pet free option. Pet free room important for us. Great staff, very accommodating and informative.

    « Great Go To »

I stay here often and have always had great service! I am a female who travels alone and I have always felt safe at this location. Convenient location for my travel needs, clean rooms, beds are comfortable and the facility is immaculate.

    5
    « Nice motel »

Very nice motel. Clean, quiet and courteous staff. I will definitely stay in this motel the next time I travel through Elko. I use Best Westerns all over the country and have not regretted it. Staff is always courteous and responsive to your concerns.

    1
    « Unbearable odor »

The first room they had me in was dirty. The carpet was stained with pet urine and wreaked. The room freshener was overwhelming. There was hair on the sheets and the television didn't work. They moved me to another room, however the air freshener was still unbearable. No offer to help me move my suitcases from one room to the other and no offer to refund any of my money. Bill was incorrect at checkout. AAA discount not included.

    3
    « Outdated »

We stayed here one night on our way to Salt Lake City. The room was outdated but spacious. The bathroom was a bit weird. Breakfast was not good and all the plates and cups were disposable which made it feel even cheaper...

    3
« got awakened by cleaning staff at 8 am »

The tv guide in guest book was outdated and could not find channels listed. had to get guide from desk. The cleaning woke us at 8 am to clean our room. The desk said We should put out do not disturb sign. The price for the room was much higher than howe Indiana . Total $93.73 in howe and 133.37 in Elko. The Elko rate was with a $10 rewards discount.

    3
    « Recent so-so visit »

We've stayed here many times, but it seems not as nice as before. Room AC is very noisy, refrigerator also noisy, and it's maybe minor, but bathroom soap has been replaced with wall-mounted soap/shampoo dispensers that are hard to reach and don't work well. Pretty annoying, and as usual the morning coffee is horrible and they have an unpleasant cable news channel always running.

    5
« Bed was comfy, rooms were nice »

Really enjoyed the comfort of the bed. The breakfast was the best one in two weeks of continuous hotel stays in Nevada in different places from my recent work trip. Was excited to see the hotel had upgraded to direct tv since the last time I was there.

    2
    « Noisy, Uncomfortable »

Air conditioning doesn't condition the air, but does do an excellent job of making the walls vibrate all night. The bed was nice if you like theme park rides. Pillows should be upgraded to those suitable for a king bed, as opposed to a crib.

    3
    « Breakfast was bad »

The breakfast personal were standing around doing nothing as most of the breakfast stations were empty or nearly empty. They did not seem to care about their customers. Had to ask for the fresh fruit to be refilled, no spoons for dry cereal, only one yogurt left, no eggs in the tray and no pastries. I asked about the pastries and they said they were frozen. Trying to figure out the TV remote was a nightmare. I didn't know you had to have a PHD to figure it out. Took me over an hour to figure it out. None of the channels that were listed in the room hotel book matched up with the actual TV channels. The young girl who checked us in to our room was all business. She never smiled or welcomed us to the Best Western. The checkout lady was great. Asked how are stay was and how they could improve on their service. The room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is very clean and organized employees are very frendly and respectfull I recomend this property if you happen to be in the elko area...but dont forget to call ahead or go on line and make a reservation because this property is full almost all the time

    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel is very attractive from the outside, and the hotel lobby is also very nice. Good hot coffee and cookies in the lobby, which were appreciated. Wonderful swimming pool and hot tub. Nice, large room. The breakfast was outstanding - actually fresh items, not made and frozen weeks ago.

    3
« Stayed twice while on road trip »

Stayed here twice while driving to North Dakota from California. Our first night we had a King and the room was nice and clean but had a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke - the kind left behind when a smoking room in an old hotel is remodeled to be a non-smoking room. After a bit, the smell went away (or we got used to it). Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good, and check-out was at noon which is always great for us since we are not morning people. On the second night, we stayed in a room with two queens. The beds were really comfortable, and the room was clean and without the smell we encountered during our previous stay, so that was good. However, we were on the road when we made the reservation (had previously planned to stay in Idaho, but changed our plans and decided to stay in Elko again), so we called to make the reservation rather than making it online. We were quoted a price over the phone before we told the person on the phone that we had AAA and BW rewards memberships, both of which gives us a 10 percent off, but neither discount was applied, nor were we charged the amount quoted on the phone. My husband tried to explain what happened at the front desk, but they had an even different price in the computer. That made three different prices and still no discount was applied to any of them. They did adjust it, but not to what I thought it should be and not worth trying to argue with them over. Lessons learned: always make your reservation online so you get the price in writing with appropriate applied, and stay at a different hotel chain the next time we stop in Elko.

« Clean, good location and pet friendly! »

Stayed here for one night on our way up to Idaho. Check in was quick and professional, however when we asked for good pizza restaurant we were told that Dominos was the best. Ick. But, other than this, the room was clean and big and there was plenty of grassy areas for my doggie to do his business. And they provided doggie bags as well which was a nice touch. Close to the Red Lion Casino and other downtown shopping. Would stay again!

« Very helpful at checkout »

They helped book our next nights stay at the Station House Best Western in South Lake Tahoe for an even cheaper rate than at Elko. The breakfast was warm and fresh and the serving room had lots of seating, some are so small and crowded.

    « I love Best Western »

Always well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and quality breakfast. The only negative thing I can find on which to comment is that I wish there had been more than one elevator because my room was on the far corner of the property.

    2
    « Dirty rooms »

They never clean the rooms one night I was there all they do is they make the bed and then they leave the room they don't wipe down the surfaces or vacuum they didn't even mop the bathroom floor one time

    5
    « comfort »

In our 3000 mile trip across the western states, Best Western is the only place we will stay from now on. We've tried the rest, and Best Western is the Best. All the others do not compare with the quality of service, amenities, and comfort.

    « Pet friendly? »

If you are not a pet-person, ask for a room that has not had pets in it. Lingering odor of 'dog' when we first opened the door. Staff cheerfully changed our room. Conveniently located; very efficient & friendly staff and very good breakfast.

    4
    « Pet friendly »

One of the better pet friendly places to stay. The Room was clean and everything worked except some issues with fan. There was a large grassy area to walk the dogs. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and the food was good. Staff was helpful.

« Great for pets but noisy »

Plus: pet-friendly hotel. Minus: walls, floors noisy. Popular with families so if you are placed on first floor, ask for a 2nd story room. Hotel Staff need to be prodded to remind guests that the hallways are not running tracks.

    5
    « Really good hotel »

The rooms are large. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast room is big and breakfast selection is more than in other hotels (e.g. Cappuccino). Pool (heated!) and hottub are open 24/7. Lobby sells additional items for very reasonable prices (e.g. V8 or Gatorade for $1). Staff was very friendly and helpful..

    4
« Great Place to Stay »

Stayed here twice on the way to Canada and the way back. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool is a good size and our grandchildren loved it. The breakfast is plentiful and the staff work hard at keeping the food fresh and ready. We found all of the hotel staff helpful and friendly.

    4
    « Newer »

Newer, enjoyed except could not breathe the air because of too much deodorizer scent in hallways and rooms. Long long hallways from east wing to the fitness center, breakfast room, lobby. Quiet motel.

    4
    « Elko BW »

The staff was helpful. The breakfast was excellent! The room was satisfactory. The location is excellent, right off the freeway and on the main street of Elko. Be sure to go downtown and see all the old hotels and the old casino with a polar bear out front.

    5
« Great stay for a work trip »

First work trip to Elko, and I had my kids and wife with me. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was good, and my kids loved the pool. They asked if they could come back with me on my next work trip here.

« Pleasant Surpise in the Desert »

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience, start to finish. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and clearly take pride in their hotel. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and modern and the bathroom looks like it was recently updated. The pool and hot hub were amazing -large, clean and well maintained- and also appear to be pretty new. There is also a workout room and a lovely sheltered outdoor patio area with a fireplace for cool evenings. The breakfast was very generous -hot dishes as well as cereal, toast and pastry choices. Again, the staff was very visible and friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

« Nice rooms & great hot breakfast! »

I travel to Elko on business a lot and have stayed at the Best Western Elko Inn several times. I find the rooms are clean & comfortable. Sleep quality is not great only because I have difficulty sleeping in a strange bed. When I am there for more than 1 night the second night's sleep is excellent. Also, the hot breakfast is nice and much appreciated! before getting in the car and driving on to my next destination!

    « Rmsi retail merchandiser »

Comfy place to stay for business, the rooms are comfortable, the pool and hot tub are great. Free continental breakfast is better than most Hotels. The staff is great and the whole place actually real quiet. Wi-Fi a little slow though. All in all is give BE a big thumbs up.

    5
« Great place to stay »

I had no problems with this hotel, except toilet was slow to flush and the tv was very small. Breakfast was great, room was clean and quiet, the pool and hot tub was kept nice and clean, and open 24hrs!!

Stay in the Best Western Elko Inn.

« Quiet stay in a state filled with casinos »

Elko is the only "major" town in a nearly 200 mile stretch on I-80 in North Nevada. Nearly every hotel, even small, have a casino. So if that's not your thing we recommend this place. Large clean room, off the highway and great fresh made breakfast buffet. They are right there preparing it, no mystery. Excellent cut fresh fruits, eggs, meats, and we lucked out as they has biscuits and gravy that day which were great!

    4
    « Nice & comfy »

It's quite difficult to get up t go to the job at 4 am. The bed in my room is sooo wonderful. They have a stone waterfall in front and it's very nice. The owners grandfather built it himself. They have a pretty fair choice of breakfast goodies but the eggs and meat have something in it that upsets my stomach.

    4
« Okay place to spend a night »

I stopped here during my travels for down I-80. The hotel seemed very nice from the outside and the price was reasonable. The room was okay, the attention to details seemed to be missing, the lamp shade was torn, the blinds didn't want to close all the way. There seemed to have been a recent remodel in the bathroom with paint and other spots remaining on the floor and bathtub. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and crisp. The breakfast was interesting, apparently pumpkin spice waffles are occasionally an option here. One piece of advice, don't try and make you're own gourmet coffee with their coffee maker, it will overflow and possibly burn you. Good choice if you're looking to stop somewhere after a long day of traveling.

    5
« Great Hotel stay in Elko »

We had a great stay. Front desk was great, beds were comfy, breakfast was good and we love that the pool and fitness center is open late!! The hotel is in a really easy location to find right off the interstate and it is close to the event center we went to go to and also restaurants and casino's.

    4
« Great place to rest in Elko »

We stop at this hotel every year and they are a dog friendly hotel. There are several grass areas around the hotel for your dogs to roam. Rooms are comfortable and the service it great. The only thing I wish was better is the breakfast.

    4
    « a decent place for a quick layover »

We have stayed here many times over the years on hour return home from Montana. The room is always clean, the bed comfortable. The walls are thin so one hears traffic in the hallways and loud voices in adjoining rooms -- tolerable for the one-night stays we have. Service is minimal but the staff reasonably friendly.

    5
    « Very Nice Hotel »

Very nice hotel easily accessible from the freeway. The initial room booking was incorrect, but the receptionist was able to resolve the problem. The hot, steam table breakfast was decent and had a good variety of items.

    4
« Clean Quiet BW close to what you need. »

This is a clean quiet BW close to anything you may want in Elko. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The only problems we had were slow internet and fuzzy TV reception. There is not gambling here so it is very quiet. Very good pizza place just down the street.

    1
« Ants in my room »

There were ants in my room on the last night I was there. Immediately left the room and asked to change. They did not have another room available and didn't even have bug spray. So, I put everything up high and dealt with it.

« Great Breakfast and Service »

This is nice facility with friendly staff. We found the beds to be great and there was no distracting noise, even though the hotel is on the main street of Elko. The evening clerk was very helpful in locating the local Basque restaurants in Elko. We used the pool and the hot tub, and found them nice and clean. My granddaughter complained a little about the amount of chlorine in the pool, but I didn't find it a problem. We had some minor mechanical difficulties in the room, but since it was a Sunday evening, there was nobody available to work on them, and they were minor inconveniences. I reported them in the morning, and the day clerk thanked me an added points to my loyalty card...since they often don't find out about problems in a timely way. The full breakfast was great. The scrambled eggs were pretty darn good for being prepared in advance. The breakfast was nicely presented and closely tended to keep everything fresh.

    1
    « Not a good hotel »

This place was the worst. Didn't have any other choice-other hotels were all booked. On my way wih the family to Park City Utah for some fun and we wanted to stay a night to rest before we continue with our trip. I pretty much made a mistake an learned from it- never again. There is nothing abou this place that I liked. What can I say it's BW

    5
    « Great stopover »

We stopped here after visiting Yellowstone and on our way to San Francisco. We were very pleased with the room and service. Pool was excellent. The hotel had a large breakfast area and lots of selections...even Strawberry waffles.

    1
    « Horrible Experience »

It was 100 degrees in Elko; the air conditioner in the room did not work despite repeated assurances from the staff that it had been fixed. There was no internet service. The room and the property were dirty. I was charged $150 per night for a room that was worth maybe $39.95. Our company will NEVER book another room with a Best Western property.

    4
    « Good stopover »

We stayed here with our dog driving from Michigan to California. Very convenient stopover--comfortable room, nice area for walking dog, easy on/off I-80, and lots of restaurants for dinner. Hotel breakfast was above average, with very helpful staff.

    5
    « Nice Hotel »

We stayed for 3 days, while visiting relatives in Elko. Hotel is on Idaho St (main drag), close to lots of shopping, casinos, but also not far from city park where we thoroughly enjoyed 4th of July fireworks show. No restaurant on site, but not a problem, great local eateries to choose from. Parking is great, luggage carriers available, clean rooms; all in all no complaints what so ever; and our family would definitely stay here again!

    4
« Great hotel, has been renovated »

Great hotel for road trip stop over. It was clean, quiet and the rooms were updated and beds comfortable. For the price, it can't be beat. Breakfast included and was typical for a hotel - waffles, juice, coffee, eggs, potatoes.

    4
« The Oldun in Elko Nevada »

A good quality Hotel in a town which is mostly a "stop off" en-route to somewhere else. Our stay was marred by a minor, but these days an important, matter, failure to be able to provide an adequate internet service and an "off-hand" approch to the problem.

    5
« Clean, great location. Great sleep »

Clean great location friendly staff would highly recommend this motel to anyone willing to pay the cost. The hotel was one of the best Best Western motels we stopped on I80 and I 70 across the country. Not all were as clean and personable.

    5
    « good beds »

the hotel is clean with good beds and a very nice pool, breakfast was good except for the nasty bacon and the cheese on the omelet . i need to add more to the review to get enough for the review to be posted

    « Elko trip »

Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was adequate but could have been better. Though I didn't do too much interaction with the staff, they were all helpful and friendly. If ever I know of some one traveling on Interstate 80, I'd recommend the Elko Best Western.

    5
« Best room of our trip »

Checked in late without reservation. Front desk gal was eager to help and worked things around so she could find a room to meet our needs. By joining BW we got a nice discount and stayed in premier suite. Most comfortable bed of our 14 day trip (among multiple hotels). Room was absolutely spotless.

    5
« Elko, NV Best Western - Great service. »

The manager and staff of Elko BW were exceptional. We had an issue arise (not related to the hotel) and the manager, Alan, went out of his way to accomodate us. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be improved but we did not stay there for the breakfast.

« My Go- To Hotel in Elko »

This hotel is quiet and has an enclosed parking area and lawn in the back to sit out on if you feel like being outside. It is a family oriented venue-no casino on site. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can bring your pet. There is room to haul in a large trailer if you need to. They provide fresh coffee in the lobby to take a cup with you for the road. I like staying here and have many times.

    5
    « easy and clean »

This is a great location in elko if you are traveling through and was very clean and comfortable. Quiet rooms updated baths and wi-fi were all very nice. I will stay here again when traveling to the West coast.

    5
« TOM FROM SAN FRANCISCO »

Good motel for a one night stay in Elko NV on our way back to California. No problems with hotel except someone at front desk really did not know the restaurant scene. Recommended a Basque restaurant with only two Basque items on menu; Also said it was within walking distance--5 very long blocks in very hot weather. We found a good restaurant on our own--one block away.

    5
    « Long drive day »

We drove 10 hours and our first stop to have fresh baked cookies to greet us! I cant tell you how this makes a tired 11 year old boy feel very happy Granson !! Then a swim in the pool to get ready for bed. Nice room to sleep in and very clean.

« Charged for employee error »

I made my reservation for Aug 19, as we are planning to be in the area for the lunar eclipse on Aug 21. The clerk could not figure out how to send my confirmation via email, but manually gave me the number. On June 21, I received an e-mail asking how my stay was. They reserved the wrong date and charged me $128 for the room that I am fighting to get back due to an employee's mistake.

    4
« Easy access, clean, friendly and comfortable »

A welcome and friendly reception after a long day's driving down from Yellowstone/Teton. Rooms are larger, tho I prefer to have one bed rather than two joined together! Clean and comfortable. Good complimentary breakfast too.

    2
« Pets allowed, odor in room. »

The hotel staff was friendly. Hotel allows pets, there was an order to the room, I would not have stayed if I knew about the pet policy. The hotel was quiet. Refrigerator in room worked. Air conditioner worked. Breakfast was adequate.

    « Clean, friendly, and pet-friendly! »

We stopped by on a Friday night with no reservation and the friendly front desk staff was able to find us a pet friendly room. The breakfast was great - loved the coffee machine especially! Will definitely stay here again!

    5
    « BW Elko »

In Elko this hotel stands out. Breakfast exceptional. Stall excellent Book early.. We stay here for the Elko mining show every year. Prices are higher early June for that show. Has everything you need and central location.

    « One night stay »

Traveling from Ca to Mn and stayed here for one night. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was in need of a remodel as bathtub lining was cracked and had come off in big chunks, leaving a clean but icky looking bathtub. Breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy, bacon, breakfast burritos, waffles, etc. Room was also quiet.

    5
    « Best place I've stayed »

Very nice, well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, free WiFi, fridge, micro, new tv's. Indoor pool is large and goes to 6 ft depth with piped-in music and is open 24/7. There is also a Jacuzzi. An exercise area is adjacent with tv. Our desk clerk Sue was very helpful and accommodating and got us signed up for the rewards program which immediately earned is gift cards. Breakfast buffet is the best I've seen. Coffee available goes from regular to cappuccino and lattes to hit chocolate. More variety on cereals and breads than usual. Waffles were crispy outside and soft inside and choice of plain or banana nut. Hot foods were fresh and tasty and they have a commercial toaster. We complimented the lady managing the breakfast at how good and appealing it was.

    5
« Westbound stay in Elko »

Nice Hotel. Nice location: Downtown Elko. Helpful staff. Comfortable room. I thought it was too expensive. The Best Westerns I have stayed in in Oregon have had a person cooking eggs at the free breakfast which was much better.

    2
    « Smoke Scented »

The outside of the hotel looks like it was remodeled recently. This is not the case. The halls were not air conditioned and they whole place smelled of smoke even though it is bill as a smoke free facility. I filled out BW survey after my stay and they called to get details. The TV remote did not work, so my husband went down to the office and they gave him new batteries, still did not work. Bathroom door had water damage and was peeling from the bottom as was frame around the door. We stayed at a different place on the way home. Will never stay here again.

    3
« Generally good with a few issues »

We stayed here for a night while on a road trip. The regular rates are a little high, but I got an excellent government employee rate. The location is very convenient from I-80. On the good side, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and check-in was quick and smooth. The room was quite large and we found the beds comfortable. The wifi worked reasonably well. The room was surprising quiet, and it's always nice to have a fridge handy. It's an older property that has updated decor. Pool is open 24/7, but we didn't use it. There's no restaurant on site, and unless you want fast food or a bit of a hike, you'll have to drive to eat--not something we wanted to do after 500 miles in the car. Breakfast is included, but pickings were somewhat slim by the time we checked it out at 8 am. The cooling system was noisy; without it, the room was too hot. Our bathroom had no shampoo and a dirty towel had been left on the shower rod. The remainder of the room seemed clean enough, but these seemed to me to be signs of sloppy housekeeping. When we mentioned the missing shampoo, the person at the desk apologized, gave us some, and made note of the room number, which was a good response (we hadn't yet noticed the towel). If I pass through Elko again, I'll definitely consider this place.

    4
    « Very accommodating »

Enjoyable stay at a clean, friendly hotel. The suite room was perfect for our family of 6. Hotel pool and hot tub was nice respite from long drive. Fitness equipment could use updating. The hot breakfast was filling.

« Everything clean, good room layout &...printer works! Business center works! »

Quick review as we depart our one-night stay with two cats to say how much we appreciated the good room layout (#148), good coffee at front desk despite the complicated coffee/hot chocolate machine in the breakfast area giving the staff trouble. Everyone on staff that we passed smiled. I am writing with special gratitude that everything in the business center actually worked--the PC could be figured out even by this loyal Mac user, paper was in the printer, and I could accomplish my task without running to the front desk for help. Sheets crisp and clean, bed comfortable, TV news accessible, air conditioning worked. Only "complaint" -- the window screen was broken where someone else's pet had evidently tried to escape, so we could not leave the window open those 4" that our cats so love to look out and sniff their surroundings. Pool looks terrific--large--hot tub alongside, but we didn't have time, darn. Wi-Fi excellent. So glad that we used TripAdvisor for ratings to find this gem. My husband used Yelp for our dinner at Luciano's--very nice, good Italian food, waitress Mariah particularly lovely.

    « Elko Meeting »

Stayed here before. Knew the quality. Price is right. BW is always my first consideration for many years. They are not always available in some of the locations that I travel but their prices are nearly always comparable to other similar lodging in an area.

« Best Western Elko, Nevada »

I stay at this location every time I am in town. Some of the long time staff has become like family. They treat you with the utmost professionalism and make you feel comfortable and welcome. I will continue to stay at this location in the future. I have been a repeat member for at least 3 years and have and no reason to change where I stay. I would recommend the Best Western Elko to any one interested in an affordable and customer friendly experience.

    3
    « Elko Inn »

Upon my arrival, the carpet was unkept which created doubt about the room itself. When reported to the staff, they informed me that they would let housekeeping know my concerns. No other accommodation were offered or suggested.

« Very Nice Hotel at reasonable price »

The rooms are big and clean, the hotel is clean and has nice pool, breakfast area, and workout room. The staff was friendly as well. The pool is full size and inside, and also has a hot tub. Some of the rooms have hot tubs as well.

    5
    « Exceptional »

Home made cookies for guest, breakfast buffet with a broad selection of both cold and hot food, very nice in door pool and sauna, pleasant staff, comfortable beds. We got a one bedroom suite; but, the price was a little more than what you might pay elsewhere for just a room with two beds. We had a full size, kitchen, not a kitchenette. Fantastic!

    4
« Nice place and good service »

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and polite. The breakfast was the norm but hot and plentiful as well as varied. The lady at the front desk at check in time was very helpful and accommodated our need for a first floor room and was very prompt at replacing a missing light bulb in our room.

    « Horrible stay »

I stayed here twice with my dog. The most recent time was horrible. First of all, they put all the people with dogs in one hallway which wouldn't be a problem if the hotel wasn't packed and most of the dogs there were either loud barking dogs or aggressive towards my dog and I in the hallway and outside. I had a giant dog lunge and snarl at my dog and I as we were walking outside , the owner almost lost control of it and I had to jump back and pull my dog back to keep us from being attacked. When I asked to move rooms, the hotel refused. They said they'd go knock on the doors of the rooms with barking dogs, so I told her which rooms. But since the dogs didn't bark while she was in the hallway for a moment she didn't do anything and the barking and scratching on walls continued off and on throughout the night making for a very restless night of sleep for both my dog and I. I understand designated rooms for dogs, but putting them all together is a recipe for disaster on a busy night. Next- the fridge and fan in the room make a horrible creaky sound that indicate they both need to be serviced. Finally the worst part of all- I was using the hot tub when the maintenance people came in and said " don't worry we won't bother you , Just testing the chemicals in the water." I say okay.. then they bring in bottles of chemicals and I ask if they're going to apply those while I'm using the tub and they said " no we aren't allowed to put chemicals directly in the tub." Then they proceed to dump chemicals into the filter of the hot tub which flows directly into the hot tub. I watched as milky and hen blue chemicals were poured into the direct water I was in. Then she turned on the jets to "run it through the lines" within a minute my nose, throat and eyes were burning so bad I had to leave. Never staying there again. Didn't get any sleep, and didn't even get to relax in the hot tub that I specifically chose that hotel for. Major disappointment for a Best Western.

    5
    « Another Good Experience »

My two small dogs and I have stayed at the Best Western Elko several times and we have never been disappointed. I will stay again when I travel in this area. The pet area is conveniently located and my dogs take care of their needs. Pet bags are available, but sometimes need to be refilled. That is not an issue for me, as I always carry bags with me.

    2
    « Poor hotel processes »

The hotel does not have a check in/out process when their electronic systems fail. Needless to say they were unable to see room inventory or reservations. My family and I had a reservation for a double queen bed room as there was three of us traveling. The hotel staff assigned us a single bed room as they had no idea what rooms where left or reserved.

    5
    « Nice stay »

Amazing place to stay! Staff is super friendly and helpful. They offer free cookies to guest and when they noticed I was in a bad mood from having a rough day they baked me a fresh batch! Definitely would come back!!

« Solid / Comfortable / New Best Western in Elko, Nevada »

I thoroughly enjoyed a very comfortable one night stay @ Best Western Elko. After reading a few bad reviews, I still decided to go-ahead and book a room via Hotels.com. My review are as follows: * Room was clean, comfortable king size bed with a great flat screen TV. Tons of cable cannels; who ever wrote they were limited was just wrong. Super soft towels. * The free hot breakfast has real eggs and great coffee (3 different kinds of coffee) full lay-out of pastries (more than Hampton Inns), FYI, I choose to refill my to-go cup of coffee with the Best Western cafeteria espresso coffee in lieu of stopping at Starbucks, it's that good! d) THE friendliest staff, who ever wrote a review of them being harsh is just wrong, I found these people super sweet, just couldn't do enough for you. e) As I have mentioned above, the past reviews giving the Best Western Elko anything but raving reviews is most probably competition trying to slander f) The Best Western Elko Inn is number one on Tripadvisor and "Excellent" rating on Hotels.com for a good / legitimate reason; its a great stay, Enjoy, I did!

« Modern and Very Clean »

Room was updated and the maid service did an excellent job of preparing the room as well as cleanliness. Overall, the staff does a great job. Breakfast was good with a variety to suit most everyone. We will plan on staying at the Best Western Elko the next time through.

    « Always Great »

As usual, this BW never disappoints. Sue and the staff are professional, courteous and friendly. Check in is a breeze. The super spacious rooms are always very clean, bedding is wonderful, towels are thick and thirsty. Breakfast is average and could use some improvement. We always travel with our dog and the pet station and walking areas are always nicely kept. We will always stay here when coming through Elko!

« Worst and dirtiest hotel experience »

I stayed with my mother in a two bedroom suite with a kitchenette during our road trip west. The only positive was that the beds were moderately comfortable. The negative was everything else. The entire place was filthy- dirty fingerprints on the light switches, splashes of something on the walls, attempted paint repairs on the walls in different colors, moldy ceiling in the bathroom (like a leak must have happened) filthy floors (white socks turned black) and the couch not only had stains all over it, but it was ripped to shreds by something. Not only that, but someone at the hotel thought it would be a good idea to book a party of children in the suite on the second floor. And lest you think the hotel didn't know about the party, they had signs up outside the door and down the hallway leading to it. Neither my mom nor I were able to sleep because the walls and floors are paper thin. And this is after I requested to be on the second floor and was told suites were only on the first floor. When I informed the hotel staff of the less than optimal stay the next morning, I was told, "sorry, but suites are only on the second floor." Customer service is lacking - as is a proper cleaning staff. Stay away!!

This place is great! Excellent room and awesome breakfast! The breakfast burrito was delicious and the coffee was great. The room was clean and big enough for our family. The pool was a great surprise too (open 24 hours!)

« Raves to Best Western Elko! »

I can't speak highly enough about the good folks at Elko Best Western! My eighty-six Y/O mother and I found ourselves stranded in Elko over the Easter holiday weekend. Happily, we booked an additional night in our spacious, lovely room. The complimentary breakfast was beyond expectation, but the staff was absolutely over the top! Particularly John, who was kind, efficient & had terrific suggestions for everything from tire pressure to great eats! Thank you BW Elko, for making our bad luck situation into an actual "holiday"!

    « Quiet, comfortable hotel »

We have stayed at this Best Western many times and have never had any complaints. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The room always clean and bed extremely comfortable. Their large indoor pool first attracted us to this hotel. Their breakfast bar has everything, but this time we were disappointed they no longer had turkey. sausages. We always highly recommend this hotel to friends.

    « Nice hotel. »

The staff are very nice. The rooms are dated but clean and roomy. Breakfast was ok...healthier options would be nice. We were assigned our room but when we went to open the door, there was already someone in it. It seems that someone had sneaked in and was occupying the room. He quickly left when he realized we were checking in. The staff was extremely apologetic and gave us another room.

    « Big Clean Room »

Our room had a king bed that did not come close to using up the space for the second bed. Easy check in, I just drove in a was given the CAA/AAA rate with me card and ID. Room 152 is close to the exit and gives you a easy in and out. Pet friendly.

The grandchildren loved the pool. Best place in town for a stay with children. We travel through Elko often and have stayed several places. This is my new favorite stop. Very helpful staff all the way around.

    « Not staying again »

The room was clean. The phone didn't have anything numbers or calling information. It was random picks to be able to use it. The tv selection had cable news channels but NOT FOX NEWS. I don't want a hotel chain choosing where I get my news

« Elko Nevada Best Western »

Well there was a wonderful supportive bed, but that was it. The room wreaked of pet urine. The tall lamp did not work and the bathroom was in disrepair and falling apart. An electrical box was sticking out of the wall and moved when you plugged an item in. Tried to report upon checkout but no clerk was up front to report to.

« Great Place to stay at a reasonable price »

I was in Elko for a convention and decided to stay near the convention facilities. The Best Western was just down the road from the Elko Convention area so I picked it. I was truly surprised with the quality of the rooms and the facility itself. Elko isn't exactly a large city so I figured it would be somewhat backwards in amenities but I was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival the night shift gal was working very hard helping a customer on the phone but kept us in mind since we had just arrived. She worked both our check-in and the phone without making either of us feel like we were being ignored. The front area had nice fresh cookies and hot coffee. Both were a great, the cookies for the kids traveling with us and the coffee for us adults...ok we like the cookies too... Anyway, after waking up early I went on the hunt for some more fresh coffee and found and awesome Breakfast spread. 3 types of eggs, bacon (yes real bacon) and sausage (turkey for the health minded folks). Of course there were all types of cereal, both hot and cold, along with make your own waffles. All in all it was a great breakfast and saved going out to buy a good meal. If you're traveling through Northern NV and are stopping for the night in Elko, or just visiting, I'd highly recommend the Best Western.

    « Kind to dogs »

I needed a dog friendly place. The room was comfortable and clean and had a microwave and fridge. Climate control was efficient. It was quiet. The free breakfast was tasty. Most of all, the dog was no problem and there was a dog exercise area. It wasn't fenced in but it was safe. They gave us dog treats at check in. The rate was good, too, less than $100 per night.

    « Nice Hotel »

Stayed 2 nights last week in two different rooms on non-sequential reservations, both were on the second floor and in great shape minus loud heaters. I slept with the heat off and then needed the room warmer in the morning for working/conference calls and the in-the-wall heater is minimally effective and loud. Breakfast was good and checkin/checkout was quick and without a hitch. Staff were nice and professional. This hotel picks up some minor noise from the busy street out front, but is set back nicely and is also away from the interstate. All-in-all, fairly quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Unexpected gift. »

This is a great hotel. A very unexpected gift in the middle of no where. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was better than expected. All in all a great value and enjoyable place to stay.

« Excellent place to stay »

Treated very well by staff at this location. Beds were comfortable but a little tall, we had a king..Breakfast included was better than most hotels. Cookies at front desk. Felt secure at this location. Gas stations and restaurants nearby. If you cant do stairs, ask for a 1st floor room or a room near the elevator if your on the second floor. Only saw one set of elevators near lobby. Pet friendly, have a grassy area and pet stations.

« Excellent stop on our cross country drive »

This motel was a great value at the price we've typically paid, for a cleaner, more spacious room with superior breakfast and larger than usual pool. Super friendly staff. Elko wasn't our destination but I am glad to have stopped in overnight.

Breakfast was awesome and i enjoyed it very much.Additionally, the room was okey and it met my expectation althoguh there were no room sleepers for my foot. The receptionist was kind of rude hence i couldnt enjoy my two days stay at best western elko in.

« Complimentary breakfast was great »

The room was fresh and clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked the roomy king size. Although we did not use the refrigerator, it was nice to know it was there if we needed it. I noticed we had an ironing board and iron and also a hair dryer. These things are good to have on hand. The receptionist, Sue, was especially friendly.

    « Always a good stop! »

We go between Salt Lake and Sacramento several times a year and the Elko Best Western is a good mid-way layover for those who just don't want to make the 10 hour drive. (8 hours if you fly very low!) Well kept facility and a nice breakfast before getting back on the road in the morning.

    « Always a pleasant stay »

I enjoy getting away on the motorcycle for long weekends, and I always plan a few trips a year to Elko in the spring and fall. I ALWAYS stay at the Best Western Elko. Biggest indoor pool in Elko, with a Jacuzzi. Rooms are always nice and clean. Good central location, within walking distance of local eateries. Had an issue with my A/C unit...told the associate at the front desk (Patsy) and she had the unit replaced within the hour. Both Patsy and Sue were awesome, helping me secure reservations at one of the better eating establishments in Elko, the Star restaurant. Lots of parking, and motorcyclists are welcomed and can park under cover at the reception area. Breakfast is par with other hotels, i.e. if you are in a hurry to get on the road, you eat here...if not, you eat out.

    4
« Fairly average hotel but Patsy's excellent service makes it special »

I stayed there last night. The hotel tries so hard to make your experience good. Patsy greeted me and checked us in. Later when I was walking my dog I heard Patsy call my name from across the parking lot. She had been leaving for the night when she saw that I hadn't fully closed the trunk of my car. So she went back to the hotel and looked up whose car it was and then went to look for me to let me know that my trunk wasn't secure. This is not only great service, but consider that she was leaving for the night and took the time to help someone else instead of going home to her family. In the morning I arrived at the front desk to check out earlier than I'd said and my "to go" breakfast bag was read to go already. Patsy was there again with a smile even though she'd worked through the night because a coworker wasn't able to make it in today. In terms of the room, my room was large and comfortable. I love that they have the kind of tv remotes that can be cleaned - that's always kind of a gross part of staying in a hotel. The air conditioner blew so hard that the curtains floated in the air all night. Also, it did make some noises that woke me during the night. But overall it's a good deal for the money.

« Great Place to stay »

We arrived late and were very tired from traveling all day. We had not made a reservation in advance and was happy the front desk girl said they could accommodate us. The room was very nice. The mattress was firm with good pillows. So we had a good nights sleep. We had breakfast the next morning. It was more than good and filling.

    « Trip to Idaho »

We stopped here on our way to Idaho. The room was great and the hotel staff was excellent. We were advised of the restaurant just down the street at the casino. It was a great tip because the restaurant was excellent. Would advise staying here when you are passing through or even for a few days.

« Descent place to stay. »

Needed more cleaning. Carpet had some debris. Had to request TP twice since the room attendant left none, embarrassing and uncomfortably. To make things worst it was a room for someone disabled. I am not disabled, and did not mind the room, but housekeeping needs to pay a love little more attention and detail to these special rooms. The pool ran out of towels completely and had only one manager at night checking and attending guests. The is a need for another staff member at evening/night time. One is not enough, especially when events are going on. Breakfast was pleasant. Location of hotel is convenient.

    « Great stay! »

We actually stayed here twice on this trip. First time we didn't have a reservation as we were not sure where our travels would end that day which is a little scary when you are traveling with your elderly mother and two dogs, so it was nice to end up with a good room and the next morning a great breakfast... so we booked a room on our return trip. An extra special thank you to Patricia Sanchez who was very helpful with my Mom's needs at breakfast.

The room was large and comfy and clean-the desk people were all friendly and helpful. Very accommodating.

    « Best Western - Elko, NV »

Very nice accomodations, as we have come to expect from Best Western. Upon our request the staff gave us a recommendation to a Mexican restaurant. It was outstanding, and when we returned we told the staff member at the front desk how great it was and to keep on recommending it. We were just passing through, so it was very pleasant to be referred to such an excellent restaurant.

« Best Western Elko Inn »

Wonderful stay here at this spacious, nicely remodeled motel. The lobby is very welcoming and warm, and the staff have provided a single serve Keurig coffeemaker in the lobby for guests to use upon arrival. Our room was huge, very clean and modern, comfy bed, etc. We especially appreciated the large grassy area for our dog, an unusual amenity for most hotels that allow pets. The inn is located along a busy street but is set back far enough that traffic noise is never a problem. Very helpful staff and and a terrific bargain.

« Stay here in Elko »

A superior Best Western, updated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were firm, the room decor attractive, and our room--a double queen--seemed extra big. The desk staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We liked our room so much on the way to California that we asked for the same room on our return and the woman at the desk made sure it was there for us. Breakfast is now pretty much the same wherever you stop, but the biscuits were fresh and hot and the eggs were not little lumps of yellow ceramic. And if you have a dog with you, this is a great place, as there are rooms in a wing adjacent to a large and well-landscaped grassy area at the far end of the motel. Highly recommended.

    1
    « Numerous problems »

Room had major plumbing issues. Had to fill wastebasket with water and use it to flush the toilet. Tub would not drain either. Woman who stayed in room above us complained of same issues. Refrigerator was turned off before we arrived which allowed freezer to defrost and carpet was soaking wet. Cable system did not carry Fox News!!! Had some other news network (OANN) running in place of Fox.

    « Trip from Idaho »

Everything was in order, no surprises. Liked seeing rooms allowing pets, for some of us, they are like our kids. Parking was not crowded, breakfast was a good send-off. Check-in and check-out was simple, not complicated.

    « Best Employees »

We have stayed in Elko before and the reason myself and all our family members stay at the Best Western Inn is the place is clean and I cannot say enough times how friendly all the employees are. I could just be walking down the hall with my therapy dog and any employee will ask how I am doing and is there anything they can help me with.

« Good employees ,nice atmosphere »

We were very pleased especially with the team of people who worked for this motel. The maintenance man was there in 2 minutes when I called because I could not work the shower. He was patient and showed me how to work it. There was a whole soccer team there and the breakfast room was really crowded. Logan was working the breakfast room and he really deserves credit for being hard working, very polite and gracious and doing an excellent job.

    « Great breakfast »

One of the best muffins I ever had. Also had oatmeal and juice. Room was nice and clean. Had the added pleasure of encountering a family of deer just across the parking lot in this hotel. Was told the main floor was full and there was no elevator, so had to lug luggage up a flight of stairs. If you are disabled, I would only recommend staying here if you have a ground floor reserved.

« Best Western Elko NV deserves 4 stars »

« Very good through hotel »

Stopped at the Elko hotel on our way to California and again on our way home. It is a lovely hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Was surprised when the desk clerk remembered us on our way home. Not sure if that was a good or bad thing??. They do have a big indoor pool and free breakfast. The only thing I minded was the bed was kinda high. I'm short and was a stretch to get in.

    5
    « Friendly staff »

Two things that really stand out are the friendly staff and great breakfast. Special thumbs up to Andrew, the night manager, and the hotel staff overseeing the breakfast dining area. We did not leave hungry and there were plenty of good food choices. Comfortable bed in a well cleaned room made this a good overnight stop. This is not a new sparkling hotel but appears to be a well managed one. Glad we returned.

    4
    « Great service »

We were only there for one night but the service we received was great. We were late for breakfast but the staff in the cafeteria was outstanding and very friendly. They did not mind helping us out even though they had already closed. Patricia Sanchez helped us and even though they did have much left overs she made everything they had available. She was smiling and kind the whole time. If we drive past there again we will definitely book there again.

« From disaster to amazing »

Oddly enough, I am a local resident of Elko. We booked a night in this hotel to enjoy my son's first birthday. My son currently enjoys nothing more than splashing around in water. So we booked a night in a hotel to be able to enjoy a "pool" party as a family. With four children and my niece and nephew, this was quite an undertaking. I checked into the hotel early to be able to set up the room before the handful of daytime visitors would arrive. I set the A/C to high, made sure we had extra towels and left to go pick up kids and food for everyone. Four hours later, we arrived with a large entourage that included my aunt and grandfather as well as all six kids. We made it to the room to enjoy dinner and discovered that it was HOT. And not just a little hot, the air conditioner seemed to be blowing hot air. Everyone was sweating and miserable. This was not what I had imagined. After much debate. We went and talked to the front desk. EVERY ROOM AVAILABLE WAS BOOKED! Every single room similar to what we paid for was full. Queue the amazing receptionist, Sue. Sue came to check out the situation and upgraded us at no additional cost to the suite. Not only did the suite have a functional air conditioner (Two of them!) It also included a fully functional kitchen and small dining space. The front desk kindly changed out the 2 bulbs that were blown and we were set. Breakfast the following morning was phenomenal. when I went down to retrieve breakfast for myself and the kids, I was having to make multiple trips. On my second trip, I received help from a very kind lady who worked in the kitchen. She was able to help me finish getting food as I had come down when the breakfast room was closing. Sue from the front desk also managed to help me carry things back to the room. In addition to the great service from the desk and kitchen staff, the cleaning service was great! They not only prepared the room but also had to clean up the cookies my 1 year old lovingly ground into the carpet. I was so impressed by the rescue of our simple birthday party that I booked my daughter's 10th birthday pool party sleepover here as well. This time, we purposefully reserved the suite. Six 10 year old girls for a night of food and fun that I DON'T have to clean up? Yes please!

    « Suprised by Elko! »

Before arriving, we hadn't heard much good about Elko but the Elko Inn was the first of several delightful surprises. The breakfast gal, Patricia, was AWESOME! She was so helpful and kind and the spread she put out was fantastic! We had a GREAT stay at Elko Inn!

Very clean and modern hotel with good service and breakfast. We were traveling back from the mid west. We had stayed in other hotels in the past and this hotel was recommended by a friend. Its cleans with modern rooms and they serve free breakfast with a varity of food items available. Patrica Sanchez was the breakfast server and she made sure everyone enjoyed their food. She re-stock any food items and kept the area clean.

« Rough Around The Edged »

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the last few years. We were very disappointed with this Best Western. The positives: friendly, accommodating staff, large room, decent breakfast with hot items, guest laundry, complimentary USA Today and local paper, good bed, good a/c, good water pressure in sink and shower, quiet room. The negatives: hotel has that old hotel musty smell in rooms(we had to change rooms because the first room had cigarette smell), carpet needs a cleaning, HDTV with mostly analog stations(poor picture), TV guide in room didn't match channels available on tv, breakfast had only one regular coffee container that ran out and wasn't filled while we had breakfast, property outside hotel is dirty(cigarette butts, trash, etc.), wifi disappears as soon as hotel fills. These are mostly small deficiencies but in total they add up to an unacceptable experience. Most importantly, the musty smell in the rooms is not acceptable. Very disappointed.

« Nice hotel in Elko »

The Best Western Elko Inn is a very nice hotel, situated on the east side of downtown Elko on Idaho St. It is typical of the quality you expect at a Best Western hotel, with a fully appointed room, including coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The room was large and airy, with a work desk and a window that opens. There's not much of a view--just about all I could see was the hotel next door. The railroad tracks are nearby, but they're far enough away so as not to be intrusive, and the trains don't blow their horns for grade crossings in the area. The hotel offers a nice breakfast in the large breakfast room. The staff is friendly. The two desk clerks on duty when I checked in were unsure how to deal with a gift card from Best Western, but the clerk in the morning handled it without a problem. There are a couple of restaurants nearby. I chose JR's Bar & Grill just down the street at the nearby casino. It was actually better than what I expect to find at a casino/hotel. The cost of the room was in line with what one would expect from a Best Western. All in all, the Best Western Elko Inn was a good experience.

    « Good Hotel »

This is the best hotel in Elko, in my opinion. The pool and jacuzzi are great and open 24/7. The breakfast is the traditional waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, etc. The rooms are spacious. If you book on Priceline, they automatically assign you to a king room, so call ahead if you want two queens. The hotel was really great about switching us to two queens.

Nice large room. Very clean. Wifi very good. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Dog friendly. Dog area with grass. Efficient check in. Nice place to stay. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

    « Great Value! »

We stayed here last summer on our way through Nevada. It was good last year, however it has improved this year. Rooms are nice and very clean. Last year the dog area needed some improvement and the external door near the dog area was not secure. This year the door was secure and the dog area was clean and had bags available. Breakfast was good and the staff, Logan and Patty were working hard to make sure everything was well stocked and the guests had everything they needed. The check in staff was excellent, I wish I had made a note of her name. Great job, she even suggested a dog friendly restaurant for us. We will be back!

« Nice place to stay »

We stayed here based on other Trip Advisor reviews and the hotel was very nice. I will mention a couple of things that stood out. All the employees were very helpful, especially Patricia, who was working in the breakfast area. She asked how I was, and then later came to our table to see how breakfast was. It was actually a really good (free) breakfast with a lot of choices for adults and kids. There was yogurt with toppings, brewed coffee, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles (always fun), juice, biscuits and gravy...I am sure I am forgetting some things. Aside from breakfast, the rest of the hotel was very clean. The pool area was very nice and kept up. The rooms were very clean, as were the bathrooms. It was a comfortable place to get a good night's sleep. I appears to be recently remodeled or updated. There was free wi-fi available. I also noticed some fresh lemon ice water in the lobby, which I thought was nice. There were only two reasons why I did not give it five stars. One was that the hair dryer was missing a piece of plastic and I could not get it to turn on. The other thing was that the bathtub wasn't draining properly during my shower. This might be for a couple of reasons, however. One was that I was the fourth one to shower there. Another is that I have a tendency to lose a lot of hair in the shower and it's possible it was clogging it. However, I tried not to let it go down, but there was not anything to keep it from flowing down the drain. I would definitely stay here again!

« They take good care of you »

Easy to find, large room, great breakfast and a very helpful and pleasant staff - what more can you ask for! The breakfast area is especially nice with a good hot selection and a really welcoming lady which starts your day off right.

    « Aug. 2016 Elko »

Good customer service from Reception staff. Room was clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Internet included & good. Would stay again. Location easily accessible. The only comment to improve would be to have the elevator to 2nd floor access from parking lot side entrances instead of only behind Reception area.

    « Good night sleep »

Good location off highway but quiet and felt safe. Non smoking property however staff and guests were smoking. Beds were comfortable and had a great night sleep. Interior hallways were hot and and stuffy but a/c in rooms worked well. Good hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bisquits, waffles, fresh fruit, but bananas were too green.

« Good All Round Quality »

The is a fine hotel that has looked after the details and provides unobtrusive service and thought-out details that make a stay both comfortable and pleasant. We've learned that Best Western hotels are franchises, so it depends on who owns the franchise what kind of experience you will get. This one changed hands a couple of years ago, and the new owner seems to want to make this a fine place to stay. He's succeeding!

    « Fantastic hotel »

We arrived here on our way to Lake Tahoe. Renovated hotel, very clean, great beds, and outstanding service. The desk worker Susan deserves a huge raise- so pleasant, kind , and helpful. When she learned that I was a teacher she immediately checked and made sure I had the best rate. The price was already very reasonable! Huge pool, hot tub ... This place is wonderful and the service is the primary reason we will return. Management take notice of your care and personnel - bravo!!!!! I stayed on 8/5/16.

    « Good place »

In Nevada,I try not to stay in a casino-associated hotel because there is usually too much cigarette smoke smell, even though it is a "no smoking room" . When I went to my Best Western room however, there was too much of a smoke smell for me. I went to the main desk, and no questions asked, I was given another room which was much better. The rooms are quiet and clean. Breakfast is good (there were no coffee cups however! Fortunately, I had my own). I recommend staying here, easy on/off freeway and no road noise.

« Two thumbs and four paws up!! »

Great hotel! Worth every penny!! Clean, comfy, accommodating- very pet friendly and they even had breakfast out past the appointed hours when I got there late - thanks Logan!! impressed by the use of recyclable/compostable dishware. Definitely recommend to anyone passing thru elko.

    « Best Western »

fitness center needs to be up graded. internet was slow and would lose connection Duvets are not cleaned between clients and this seems to be a Best Western policy smoking area too close to front door entrance room keys lose there connections constantly, even if not near the cell phone.

« Comfort in the Wasteland »

If you have the (mis)fortune to have to travel by car across the Nevada desert, you may as well sleep in a comfy bed in a clean room. It was a great stopping place half-way between Yellowstone and Sacramento. I was very happy to have a great room in a quiet hotel. I did have to unplug the refrigerator because it had a loud squeal. No big deal. I had a great night's sleep and enjoyed the breakfast.

    5
    « All Good »

A welcome rest in the middle of the Nevada desert, an oasis!, awaited me on my long, hot, dangerous journey across the continent on I-80. I thank the Creator for giving us Best Western. No wonder it's the Best!

« Riding across the Great Basin during High Temps »

Always looking forward to staying at this Motel on one of my long rides in the summer months after crossing the great salt flats and the Eastern parts of the Great Basin state of Nevada. Always looking forward to the cool room and a shower and nearby dining areas.

    « Spider! »

We were driving through Nevada making our way to Idaho when we stay the night. everything about the room was clean however there was a tarantula in our room. Scared us! we were able to get it out of the room however it freaked us out the entire night. Though we were on the dessert so we didnt call the front desk to complain. overall the experience was great the bed was soft and room was clean. Food was hot and good the next morning. Dog friendly too!

    5
« Comfortable place to stop for the night in your traveling »

The gym and pool were great. A wonderful smoke free place for families. The breakfast had a great variety and the staff were very nice. The room was good for our large family. Although, the beds were quite firm. Our room was very clean and made nicely. We would definitely come back.

    5
« Nice Hotel and AWESOME Staff! »

I spent four weeks traveling on my own with my 4.5 and 1.5 year old boys. Out of all the places I stayed, the Best Western in Elko was (surprisingly), the best - hands down. The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff was incredibly helpful (they went out of their way to locate a crib and bring it up to my room), and the breakfast was really good, too!

    5
    « excellant hotel »

I have stayed before and will again. Staff is amazingly courteous, happy, and service oriented. Want to single out Patricia Sanchez in particular. She was the best! Friendly to my dog, me, and my friend.

    4
    « Comfortable hotel »

The rooms are spacious, quiet and sufficiëntly clean. The beds are comfortable. The swimming pool is nice. Breakfast offers a pretty standard choice of items, but not fresh fruit. We would stay here again when in town.

    4
    « Very lovely »

This is an absolutely lovely Best Western. The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very spacious, and nice. The breakfast was very nice, the area where you get breakfast was very spacious and very clean. The staff was all very nice, particularly one of the breakfast cooks named Patty. She was very friendly, very sweet, and really went out of her way to make sure everyone was having a wonderful morning.

    4
« Excellent Property, the elevator will be a big help to the older croud. »

The property is adding an elevator off of the lobby to access the three floors. This will be a big help to guests who don't want to stay on the ground floor, but are getting up in years. Close to cassino and restaurants and paces to eat. Rooms were spacious, well proportioned and very comfortable my wife gave her two and my two thumbs up!

    2
    « Not a safe hotel »

The rear access door to the hotel remained jammed open, even after I alerted the staff member. The outside area was littered with old trash. I did not feel safe. The rooms was adequate, as well as bed and other amenities. I would not stay there again as the management doesn't seem to care about these issues.

    3
« High beds, difficult shower knob »

I realize many of you will be thrilled with high beds, but as far as I am concerned, they are not practical at all. There is no way to sit on them to put one your shoes or simply watch TV with your feet on the floor. For those of us that are older and/or unfit, we had a difficult time getting into the bed. The shower did not work, or so we thought. It turned out we had to know the secret combination of pulling while sliding it back & forth in order for it to come on. This is unacceptable.

  • 3
    « Average room »

The hotel room was just barely average. The nightstand between the beds was way too small. Our room looked like it had been repainted, but they did a really sloppy job. However, the room was clean. Breakfast was included.

    4
« Great stop for the night! »

Nice place to stay when traveling. We've stayed at this hotel 4 times already during road trips and every time the staff has been nice. The indoor pool is nice. The rooms are good. They are also pet friendly. If you are looking for a pit stop for the night this is the place! There are also a subway and Wendy's next door.

    4
« Where's the toilet paper when you need it? »

We didn't notice it until we used the bathroom near bed time. There was only a very small amount of toilet paper on one roll; there was no second roll on the second holder. We survived until we got toilet paper from the front desk the next day. Also, no mat for the slippery bathtub. Otherwise, clean room, friendly staff, good quality luggage dollies, good breakfast.

    5
« First time at this Best Western »

This was the first time I stayed at the Best Western in Elko, NV. It was very nice, very clean, very quiet, and very comfortable. A little pricey, perhaps, but that seems to be typical in these small casino towns in Nevada. Especially, if you don't want to stay in one of the casinos. Even though a little expensive, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    5
    « Impressive »

Rolled in late night and had great accommodations, went to the continental breakfast , fantastic biscuits and gravy better than some restaurants. Servers Patricia and Logan are very conscious about making sure all foods and beverages were available !!!!

    2
    « It's just okay »

The rooms are large and remodeled to current standards. The TV choices are poor, the vending machines not stocked and the breakfast offerings were greasy at best. There is a fair amount of noise from hallways. Parking is tight for large vehicles. The location is generally convenient. It is fine for one night but there are much better, newer places to stay for similar rates in the area.

    5
    « Great Staff!! »

We visited this hotel in July 2016, and we were served in the dining room by Patricia Sanchez. She was so attentive to our needs, always smiling, and had great customer service. Just the person you want to see early in the morning!!

« Thought we had fallen into the lap of luxury! »

We had been camping for 5 days and were on our way home. Needed a nice place to stay for the night. Was great. Nice people, beautiful rooms, fun indoor pool and don't get me started on the breakfast!!!

« Just okay, but it is Elko »

We stayed one night in this hotel. The room was clean but hot and could not be cooled. Breakfast was terrible. I will say that we booked the room about 10 minutes before we arrived. It took a few minutes for the reservation to show up in their system but the staff member who took care of us kept on it and was very helpful getting us settled and recommending a restaurant. I hope she finds a spot in a better hotel.

    4
    « very restful »

the staff were great and espically patricica Sanchez, with the amount of people that came in all at once she did a great job. the pool was great for my boys and my husband rested well after the soak in the hot tub.

    « Awesome Breakfast »

The breakfast was really good. I enjoyed having a wide variety of items to choose from. Patricia Sanchez was really friendly and was greeting everyone as we walked in for breakfast, really great service. She kept making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Definitely would visit again.

« Review of Best Western Elko Inn »

We are Best Western Diamond rewards members and have stayed in countless Best Westerns. This is one of the best Best Westerns we've stayed at. The service was superb, swimming pool was luxurious and clean, and the food was great at breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Room was very large and clean. I would highly recommend this facility.

« Taste of Old West Hospitality in Elko »

The Hotel is easily accessed from Idaho St. taking the east business exit from I-80 into Elko. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and provided good recommendation for local dining options. The hotel has an indoor pool that is very well maintained and is an asset during the summer heat as well as the cold winter temperatures.

    « Colorado bound »

First time staying at BW in Elko. Overall it was nice and liked the location which is within walking distance to a number of restaurants and attractions in the town. If you stay on the second floor prepare to walk a distance to the elevator if your room in in the high numbers. Also, there are a minimum of luggage carts. Hotel is quiet at night. It is far enough from Freeway so as not to get the noise. Smokers are always a challenge as they stay by the entry door of hotels. My room was odor free and very spacious.

    4
    « Pleasantly surprised »

We were driving to Colorado and stopped here after a day of driving. They were remodeling but it was clean and beds were comfortable. More importantly the staff was great!! Brandi was super helpful and attentive. Perfect place to stop after a long day. There is a great park just down the street too!

    5
    « Best Choice »

We have stayed at this motel for several years now, and it is always clean and comfortable. The beds feel good after a long day of driving and the linens are very clean and smell good. The rooms are always clean as well. Our children enjoy using the pool, which according to the marque out front, is the largest pool in Elko! The complimentary breakfast is generous and filling. The staff is super friendly and willing to go the extra mile. No need to look anywhere else, this is the place to stay.

    « What Customer Service? »

Traveling across the country, we booked this hotel on line. We had reserved a double queen room (there were 3 of us), only when we got to the room, it was a single king. I called down to the desk and was asked to come back to the front desk and they would get us a different room. Once there, I was told there were no other rooms available. I was late, we had been driving all day so we stayed (thankfully it was my daughters and I and none of us are very big). We were also told we would be credited the next morning. The credit = $20 in points. I paid for 2 beds, I got one bed...$20? Really? The manager was unavailable, but I could call him later. I did. He was very nice, apologized and offered to credit my account for the remaining balance of points to equal a free stay. No points were ever credited. When I called back a week later, I was told the manager was just walking in the door and could take my call. The person then returned to the phone and said the manager was busy and could call me back. I reminded them that the manager had just walked in the door and asked what he was busy with? I was told he had paperwork or something...literally, that is what I was told. That was 3 days ago and I still have had no return call. I have stayed at Best Westerns across the country. Some are better than others, but never have I been treated with such a lack of customer care!

    4
    « nice stay »

stay was pleasant, no problems, the fitness center could have been better kept up as some equipment was not working. The rooms were clean and comfortable, would recommend this hotel to others. the hotel has easy access from the free way.

    4
    « Clean and fruendly »

This hotel is very clean and staff is helpful. My kids loved playing in the pool and the adults loved sitting in the hot tub nearby. The parking lot behind the hotel is big so no issues finding parking. The breakfast was nicely done with hot items like eggs and bacon. They even had a customer appreciation thing going in the evening with make your own nachos and free beer and wine which was nice after a long drive through Nevada ( I'm not sure how often they do this). Overall great stay

    4
« A good choice - wish it was a bit more reasonably priced... »

The place is good. Very decent breakfast, friendly check in, nice grounds. The rates are steep, and since we had a dog, there is an additional pet fee. At almost $200 with tax, it is hardly a bargain.... there was also stuffiness - the hotel was full, maybe that happens when it is at capacity but it made the sleep uncomfortable, despite A/C

« It was fine. Nice pool. »

Notes on BW Elko inn. When we arrived, our room was not ready, but we were early and the clerk said we could come back at 3pm. The room was mostly clean, a few bits of paper left on the floor. The chair fabric was stained. The microwave was unplugged and I did not feel like digging behind it to plug it in. The fridge was turned off so it was not cold right away. The beds were firm but comfortable. The pillows were nice. We did not see any insects in the room. The large pool had a strong chlorine smell but my son really enjoyed it anyway. It had a nice hot tub too. There was some rennovation going on in the lobby but it appeared the hotel was trying to keep the disturbance to a minimum. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked and this was the first hotel in 16 days that served bacon. Yum.

    2
    « Poor Housekeeping »

Hair on floor in bathroom; Kleenex box nearly empty; shower heads not working efficiently; no counter space around sink- nowhere to place toiletries and/or cosmetics. No place to hang clothes outside of the bathroom. This was a handicapped accessible room.

    4
    « Nice clean place »

I stopped here on my cross-country trip and had a good night sleep. I was traveling with a with a full-size bus and couldn't fit under the main entrance overpass, the staff at the front desk we're extremely helpful and figuring out the parking situation and I ended up parking behind the building. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable, I did not stay around for breakfast.

    4
    « Elko Jamboree »

This hotel was very nice in general. The staff was excellent and very helpful! There were a few issues but the staff addressed them right away. They were very helpful in meeting my requests. I would recommend staying at this hotel again!

    5
« Great place to stay »

This was the 4th Best Western Hotel my husband and I stayed at during a 12 day vacation. The food so far has been consistently good, the rooms clean, the staff friendly. If we ever go through Elko, Nevada again we will definitely stay here!

    3
« Great Service, Beds were comfortable »

Average hotel. I would stay here again if passing through. I wouldn't pay more than $100/night for this hotel. It's not the best, but it will certainly do if the price is right and you are just passing through and need a place to stay.

    4
    « Always trust a Best Western »

We can always rely on a BW for a clean nice room with a good breakfast included. It is nice to pay a fair price and have a pool and exercise equipment available as well. Elko's BW meets our expectations. The rooms are good size with very comfortable beds.

    4
    « Clean and comfortable »

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. If you use the pool, plan on cold water. They needed more help for breakfast - only one person working and couldn't keep up with demand, resulting in poor selection of items available.

    4
    « Really nice place »

Very friendly reception staff. Breakfast team did amazing job considering the Sunday crowd (Logan was super helpful). Rooms nice, beds comfortable, good location, clean. Recommend taking time to go see California Interpretive Trail Center while here or on way to or from Elko - definitely worth it.

    4
    « Very good experience »

The room was clean, the beds were excellent, the layout was fine. But what made it so good was getting a top floor room facing away from the highway. The hotel staff accommodated our request with friendly grace. Note that the room faced an undeveloped area that is likely to be developed in the future. My wife didn't like the freight train in the middle of the night, but I didn't hear it. The breakfast was traditional, but quite satisfying. A very good experience in the middle of the NV desert.

  • 3
    « Good, but »

The outside & front desk is clean & nice, but had a hard time getting toilet to flush plus the bath tub facet dripped. They said they would address these items. If they did I would give it 4 stars & stay agian

    2
    « No Hot Water »

Looked great, didn't perform. Just wanted a clean room, easy parking, a shower and on out way. Breakfast was typical for this type of place. I don't need to see a waffle machine all that often. Biggest complaint was that there was no hot water. A shower and a bed are the two main requirements for a motel on a long drive, and there are no short drives to Elko, Nevada. My review would have been much more positive had I been able to have a hot shower.

    5
« Best Western Elko Nevada »

This is a great place to stay. The staff makes you feel comfortable and appreciated. I stay at this location during all of my business trips to Elko. I would recommend this Best Western to all travelers.

    5
« Best Place in Elko »

We stayed at this Best Western on both travel nights of our recent Yellowstone trip. We came back the second night because of our good experience the first night. Rates were very reasonable on such short notice and we were able to get the room we requested - 2 Queens, non-smoking - very comfy beds! The other great thing about this hotel is they have a very easy pet policy. Nice to have a hot breakfast included with the room; quality of the food is OK, typical assortment of bread items, pastries, yogurt, hot & cold cereal, waffles, sausage, biscuits & gravy, scrambled & hard boiled eggs, assorted fruits & juices, and of course - coffee. We can always count on a Best Western when we travel.

    5
    « Great Quick Stay »

Stayed one night while on a business road trip. The staff was great and the facility is nice and modern. There are several options for food within walking distance as well as a nearby casino. If traveling through Elko again I would stay here again!!

    « BW Elko »

The BW Elko Inn is well located, and convenient for the attractions in Elko. The rooms are large and well maintained although sounds do carry suggesting that the walls are a little thin. Air conditioning is effective though noisy. Good value for money.

    « Perfect »

No complaints, just compliments. Good parking, pleasant reception, large room, easy access to wifi, good location, most important to me was the peace and quiet. Nice breakfast...and we were on our way, smiling!

    « Elko rest stop »

I was extremely tired from driving for the pas 29 hours with only a 2 hour nap. The young lady that checked me in was very personable and got me checked in quickly so I could get some sleep. She had a room that was easy to get to and parking was close to the room so I could keep an I on my vehicle. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Really great place »

We had driven straight from the California coast to Elko, and we were exhausted. The Best Western was a relaxing place to rest and rejuvenate before we got back on the road. The noon checkout time is great and let us take some time to swim before we left. Comfortable, decent breakfast, just really nice overall.

« the only reason i stay here is because its a best western »

i stay here alot for work. the last time i was here i sat down at the desk and put my foot an a cork left over from the previous guest that the maids never cleaned up. the sink and tub are covered in calcium because they don't get cleaned right. the light was out in the bathroom and i had to rob the one from a lamp to see in there. the air conditioner was loud and because the stat is on the unit and not the wall it regulates poorly. i only stay here for my rewards points but would not recommend it.

    « Lovely local stay »

Booked a suite for my daughters' birthday. Staff was friendly and accommodating, pool was nice and warm and open 24 hours, room was clean and beds (even the pull out couch bed!) were comfortable. Will recommend for any friends or family who come to visit.

« Stay At Elko Inn »

The Inn let us check in early, as we were ahead of our schedule. We had a handicapped room; my wife has trouble walking and standing. The shower head conversion switch (which enabled the water to process through the handicap shower head) was at a height of 7 feet. My wife could not have changed it by herself. After a long drive, we hoped to sleep in. At 7 am there was someone outside our window mowing the lawn and using a weeder. Not pleasant to wake up to.

    « Comfy »

Overall every thing was nice except the smell of our room. It said it was non smoking but when you opened the door it smelled like smoke. The bed was extra comfy! The service great! Every one took extra care to make sure our stay was good. Thank you all!

    « Great hotel »

Our night at this hotel was fabulous. Great service, beautiful and comfortable room. We were given access to wifi and the check in person was helpful and caring. The hot breakfast the next morning was delicious and well kept and clean. The attendant did his best to accommodate everyone!

« Good Location. Clean and inviting reception area. Awesome Breakfast! »

I stayed here for my son's college graduation. Good location and access to the ceremony as well as area restaurants. Good service, clean room, nice and inviting reception area. Wonderful Breakfast- one of the best I've had! I would have given 5 stars, but the only negative was the toilet flushed very slowly in the room. Everything else was very good!

    5
    « Best pool »

« One night stay but will definitely return »

On our way back to California we made reservations here three days ago after checking trip advisor. We booked a large room with a king bed for $89.99 with our triple AAA discount -- with tax ended up at $102.59. This includes breakfast for two which I am greatly enjoying now -- great coffee, cereal, eggs, bacon, yogurt and more -- oh and fresh fruit and orange juice which is something that really has been missing the last twelve days on the road. On the way out we stayed in Winnemuca at different hotel that cost over $140 with NO breakfast. We will definitely adjust our travel plans to come here instead! Bed was also good. Negatives: as usual the air conditioner. Best solution is to get a second floor room and just keep the window open at night. Works well for this time of year.

Friendly Staff...didn't have to search for a parking spot...Clean room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom/tub and shower...internet...room was near the laundry, but on laundry noise when the door was closed...an enjoyable stay...no surprises, no hiccups! Good breakfast, pleasant and courteous staff...

    « Pet Friendly »

A pet area is provided, as well as disposal bags. I wish that all pet owners would use them, but that is not the fault of the motel. I have stayed at Best Western Elko 6 times and enjoy everything they have to offer. They are always friendly and accommodating and I have never had a bad room. The price is sometimes higher than I expect, but I pay for safety as well as comfort. I usually travel alone and I always feel safe there.

    « A Fine Choice »

Checked in late at night and James at the front desk was courteous and helpful. Our room was very clean and the location was quiet. We felt that the bed was somewhat on the stiffer side, but it is a minor complaint. We were thankful to find a safe, clean hotel to spend the night on our road trip. The complimentary breakfast was good, but nothing special. Some of the TV channels appeared to not be available.

« Better than the alternatives... »

Stayed here 1 night in addition to both the Days Inn and Red Lion during my 2 weeks working in Elko. This was by far the cleanest and comfiest option. Nothing too spectacular to brag about, other than the friendly front desk host. Breakfast was standard and not anything to rave about.

Only complaint was that my TV had a problem not connecting to the Chanel I wanted.I reported this to the Lady at the front Desk and she made a note in her computer. Nothing did happen and I told the guy at the front desk and he did the same thing. Nothing happend and I missed the Final show of the Deason

    « This is a Great Place »

Arrived late after long, tiring trip... staff courteous and very helpful. The room, lobby, location, and exercise/swimming are fabulous for anyone who wants a quiet, enjoyable stay in a city located so near the Ruby Mountains and beautiful scenery. It is centrally located to enjoy all the offerings in Elko. Visitors will also enjoy the great museums. For us, this trip was not a vacation, but we had stayed in the hotel before - and knew it was good. Highly recommended for those who like to visit Casino - and those who may like mountain/other outdoor opportunities.

    « Comfortable bed »

After a long drive, it's a great comfort to know that Best Western Elko has a very comfortable and relaxing bed to crawl into and snore the night away. The staff was very friendly and enjoyable. Yay Best Western for always coming through for me!

    « OK Hotel »

Basic Best Western Hotel. Only one elevator and it is at the end of the building next to the office. The handle on our bag broke so we had to wheel it through the length of the building to reach the elevator. Our room was on the other end. Lot of construction people with their trucks in the parking lot creating a lot of mud and dirt.

The young lady that checked me in was very helpful. I have bad knees some nights I can barely walk. So, she got me on the 1st floor close to the outside door so I could get to my room easier. If your under 12'11" you can get in the parking area other wise you have to park across the street around the block. The bed was a little on the hard side for me.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Best Western when driving to or from Colorado. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean. It is within walking distance to some restaurants and a wonderful, large park which was great for pets and children.

Staff changing consent as well as Management Nice place , Great Breakfast Outdated exercise equipment, Door locks always a problem, Hard to get threw on telephones lines for reservation so if your regular book next stay before you leave, Dog area could use a little TLC, Other than that Beautiful hotel and stable Employees and Management would be bonus.

    « Good Hotel »

Good Hotel. Nice staff, decent coffee/cookies in the lobby, decent breakfast. Once I checked into a room and the toilet hadn't been flushed and was presumably clogged. That was gross. The front desk gave me a new room. No issues the other 4 or 5 times I've stayed here.

I love staying at this hotel and am there about 4 time a month I have complained about the run down exercise equipment multiple times and have even been told that new stuff is on order but nothing has ever been done. Please get new exercise equipment that is not falling apart or wont cause injury.

    « Thank You! »

I am always excited to find a good hotel with friendly, caring staff. This place was such a relief to find at the end of our long day. The employees were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was clean and smoke free. We had children and a dog with us and it's not always easy to balance it all. So, we are grateful they gave us a room on the ground floor. We had gotten in late, but, we got to sleep late which was so nice! Mavie made us breakfast and made sure that everyone had fresh, hot food till the end. Thank you! We appreciate the good start, to another long day. Pros: White sheets and good pillow top mattresses, with good mattress covers. A sink separate from the bathing and toilet area. Didn't have energy saving motion lights on all the switches. A/C unit worked wonderfully. Updated interior, always feels more welcoming :) Cons: They could have had better pillows, but, we still woke up rested and without physical pains. A light bulb needed to be replaced in a ceiling light fixture. And the fancy shower head was way too high for my 5'3" shortness.

« Great rooms and great staff! »

I've stayed here a bunch of times for business and finally decided to leave some feedback. Overall the hotel is pretty nice, the rooms are clean, good beds and friendly staff. Brandy checked both myself and a co-worker in and she is fantastic, she checked us in in a timely manner and followed up with us the next evening to make sure everything was satisfactory. Brandy went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay, thank you! We look forward to continuing our stay here at the BW Elko Inn.

The updates to the building and the rooms with it's amenities makes this establishment quite pleasant to stay. The breakfast was very well cooked and accessibility to servings was excellent. Staff were cheerful and yearned to serve our needs.

    « Quiet, clean, roomy »

Even though this hotel is on a main street, it is tucked back and is quiet. The walls seemed more solid than some hotels too, thus didn't hear TVs or coughing from the next door neighbors. Was clean, and the room was a bit larger than average. Free internet access. I highly recommend it.

My daughter stayed at this hotel for business in town. We actually drove over from Crescent Valley to see her a couple of times. I was so impressed with the friendly staff in front. Lobby clean and quiet. She had a nice room, too! Could use a little updating here and there, but I would gladly trade that for what we saw. Thanks for making her stay and our visit so nice. RJohnson

« Good place to lay your head »

I have stayed at this place several times on business trips, and it is a pretty decent hotel. It is within walking distance of a couple of quick, cheap restaurants. The breakfasts are pretty darn awesome offering up biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs so it will definitely fill you up. The rooms are fairly clean. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful too. I think my only complaint is the heater/AC units certainly need to be cleaned up as there is a fair amount of dust and resulted in triggering my asthma a bit.

    « Good night's rest »

Stayed overnight in Elko at this clean and convenient location. very nice comfy beds, with nice soft bedding. Mini-fridge, microwave coffee, etc There was an indoor pool. We asked for a quiet room, which was in the back on the second floor. second floor was fine, since they do have an elevator. Room was very quiet. This location appeared a bit newer than some of the others that were nearby. No casino at this hotel, but if you want to go they are just down the street, short walk. Very nice breakfast included eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon and sausage, all nicely done, also yogurt, cereal and waffles.

    « Excellent set »

We got some of the best service at this hotel. They upgraded our room when I mentioned that I needed a table in the room to play some games. The front desk agent brought in an extra chair in addition. Both the first floor maid and the front desk agent were very helpful. However in the case of the front desk agent it came with a few barbed comedic touches. I've since pulled out the barbs. Their hot breakfast was better than an average hotel breakfast. I'm sure if I'm ever in Elko again I will stay here.

    « Elko Best Western »

We had to change our plans at the last minute so we called the 800 number for Best Western and they scheduled us the Elko Inn which is very close to the interstate. We had our boxer with us so we scheduled a pet room. The room was pretty clean and good shape. A little mold on the grout in the shower, but everything else was great. The breakfast was better than most hotels and the gal keeping the breakfast area clean and supplied was very courteous and happy and helpful. We are very pleased with our overall experience with Best Westerns as this is our first trip using this hotel chain.

    « Wonderful Experience »

Checkin was a little iffy, and the two Queen beds were not available, even though they had been requested months before. Also another person in our party had a double queen. The only thing I could figure out was they were trying to keep the four of us close together. We ended up with 3 rooms instead of two, 211, 215 and 217. Since P.E.O. would pay for one room, we are now having to pay for the others ourselves. I did ask for a roll away and was told there were none available.

« Great room and personal, lousy coffee »

all was fantastic, but instant coffee does not cut it - anywhere, ever. Personal were courteous and efficient, room was beautiful, quiet and comfy. Dog policy and facilities super good as well. Have stayed there before and will stay in Elko BW again, but will bring my own coffee.

« Great Service and Staff »

The management at this location is top notch. We were very pleased with our room and the facilities we used...all were very clean and well kept. We attended the "customer appreciation" reception and were surprised to see such a nice spread. Marie took great care of us and our needs both at the reception and at breakfast...She's the best! We had the opportunity to talk with several other customers who stay here regularly and they all shared that they always come back because the staff here truly cares.

I am not a big review person but this hotel was so nice I had to comment on it. The staff was wonderful, pool exceptional and decor in lobby and breakfast area gorgeous! The rooms have been recently remodeled and are beautiful. We stayed in a non pet friendly room and it was fresh and clean. Large TV, microwave and fridge and gorgeous decor. Breakfast was ham and eggs and all the other goodies, waffles, etc. We loved everything about this hotel!

« front desk staff was excellent »

me and my children stayed there for 2 nights, we left for a full day came back and even though the sign was put up for the room to be cleaned it did not look like it was cleaned, garbage was not taken out, no clean cups were left in the room, garbage was on the floor, also looked like someone had grabbed tissues and threw them in the corner, blankets were just thrown on the bed, when getting ready to go bed I noticed that the blankets were dirty, also the bathtub was not clean up on arrival, as well looked like someone had gone through our things, as well we went through about 15 keys, also was overcharged and not told about the service fees, when I spoke with the front desk they were very pleasant and awesome, even though I had a not so good experience. I would stay there again just because the front desk was so great and understanding. the pool and breakfast were great as well.

Clean room, no frills, has the amenities I need, and it was quiet! My room was rather large, and my king size bed was comfy. Bathroom a bit small, but was clean. No smoking smells at all. Pool and gym open 24hours. I would totally stay here again.

« Great for families, warm pool, hot breakfast »

We were able to easily book this on our phones through hotels.com while on the road. The room was very clean and up-to-date. The indoor pool was open 24 hours and very warm which our kids loved. Then the included breakfast was fantastic! There were so many options, both hot and cold items. It was more than your standard continental breakfast for sure. And Marie in the breakfast room was so sweet to our family, offering to change the TV channel for our kids and cleaning up after us. Even though we just needed a place to stay overnight on our way to our family vacation, it turned out to be a great part of our vacation!

    5
« Very Clean and Comfortable »

My friend and I stay in hotels quite frequently, and were very pleased with how clean everything was and how friendly the staff were. The room was comfortable, clean, and convenient. There was plenty of space and everything worked well. The only thing I didn't like was the bleach smell on the linens, but at the same time I liked that I wasn't worried about germs. My towel was exceptionally soft. I quite liked that!

« Get a good night's sleep at the Best Western »

I have to say, this hotel is pretty great. It's not fancy, but I got a solid night's sleep at the Elko Best Western. The staff were very helpful and cheery. It's an economical option if you don't want to stay at the fancier hotels on the Idaho-Street strip. I actually prefer it to the Hilton up the street. There's also a great Basque family-style restaurant up the street called Toki Ona which is great for some home-cooking. Desserts are fabulous.

« Very nice stay except for... »

Comfortable King-size bed and fairly quiet downstairs room gave me a good night's sleep. And nice assortment for breakfast, plus coffee-maker in the room. Needed a bottle opener and a staff member came to my room to open it. Great! Only complaints were the "key" sometimes was reluctant to work, and the cheap remote for the LG t.v. would not change the channels going up, only going down. Needs to be replaced.

    4
« Would Stay here again »

This is our 3 time staying at the Best Western Elko and we would stay again. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast offering have a good selection so everyone in the family can find something they like. We also used the pool and hot tub during this stay which was nice.

    « Great hotel! »

The room was very inviting. My husband and I usually stay at a Holiday Inn or even Super 8 unless it is a special occasion. My husband and I were moving from Reno to the Salt Lake City area and we stopped in Elko for a couple of days because our new place wasn't ready yet. I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was friendly and gave my husband and I recommendations for a nice place to have dinner. The pool area was simply outstanding. I love to soak in a hot tub when I have the chance and the hot tub was clean and well maintained. The wifi was fast enough to stream Netflix and it was free with the room. It can be a little pricey for some people but I thought it was worth it for a clean comfortable room and the amenities it offers. It has the best hot breakfast buffet I have ever tasted! They offer different hot items every day but I love the selection of pastries and muffins it offered. The earlier you go to the breakfast buffet the better! If I ever come through this area again I will stay here again!!!

    « Loud, no service »

The hall coming out from the pool is very slippery- my sister fell, front desk is right around the corner-where I went for help-but no staff there. Maybe they were chasing the hundreds of high school students that were also there, loud, and rude. No food in the "free breakfast" at 9am--unless u like smashed bananas or free fm falling fruit loops. Very disappointed-

This is one of the nicest places to stay in Elko. Breakfast is good but gets very busy in morning with all the miners and there support staying there. Hot tub was close after first night for repair. Some of the equipment in the fitness center needs to be repaired or replaced.

« Very expensive price different then their website »

The manager seemed confused but I found out he was new but I looked up there price online at their website it quoted a price of 159 for a spa tub room I kept asking how much it was and he didn't tell me till he charged my card it was 179 which came to 205 I approved the amount when I left and found they charged 215 and all I did was use 2 bars of soap and and the shampoo and conditioner what they are 3 something a bottle the only good experience was the tub itself and the clerk Leah who felt bad I had paid so much corporate you need to match your price on the website I had very little money and was totally in shock nice hotel but will never stay with Best Western again I feel like I was lied to the managers shouldn't be able to just pick their own price and I was told it was off season on the, weekend so why so high fix this problem or you will lose a lot of business people who are planning to stay at the one in Elko Nevada I would make sure the price is the same as the website in fact I would not stay there 215 dollars is for 4 star resorts

« Be sure to flush first! »

Our room, on the first floor, was sizeable, very convenient, and clean enough, but we discovered -- after we'd unpacked, of course, and were settled in for the night -- that the toilet was reluctant to flush anything more substantial than a few pieces of toilet tissue. We called the front desk in search of a plumbers' friend: no such luck, and the person on duty said she was the sole employee available, with no access to anything. She offered to give us another room, but since it was late and we were settled, we opted to stay, reluctantly. Eventually we got the toilet to flush, but we wonder why many hotels don't include a plumbers' friend in the bathroom as standard equipment. And that set our pattern for the remainder of our trip: flush first, as soon as you are in the room. Breakfast was right across the hall and offered standard fare.

    3
    « Squeaking Floors »

This is a very clean and nice Best Western. The staff is friendly and breakfast was hot and fresh. The only problem was the Lack of sound proofing between the floors. We heard the floor joists squeak with every step in the room above us and heard muffled speech until 10 pm from above us. I wish I had my ear plugs, next time I will have them.

    4
    « A touch of home »

This was our third stay in a year, and we can report that the property is rather consistent in comfort, convenience, and price. Breakfast had the usual Best Western fare, but also had a big pot of oatmeal with ?fixins? like whole walnuts, raisins, brown sugar, maple syrup ? so much better than the instant microwaved version available at most. The only minor annoyance was that the soda machine on our floor was out when we arrived and was never filled for the 4 nights we stayed. Actually worked to our advantage in the long run since we just got a six-pack from the grocery store and kept it in the room refrigerator. We did do laundry while there, and their Maytag washer and dryer worked fine. Location near downtown was convenient, but without noise or traffic. Will stay again.

« Great for humans and pets. »

My wife and I were in a driving 15 day vacation. We were in Las Vegas visiting kids and made reservations for the next night in Elko, NV on our way to Placerville, Ca. Upon check in the staff was quick and pleasant. Not only did we get our little goodie bag (We are Platnium members) we also got two little gift bags, one for each dog. The room was great, large and comfortable. In addition they have a large, special grass area for the dogs. The first we have seen like it at a Best Western. The free breakfast was of standard hotel type, however the biscuits and gravey were a cut above. All in all a GREAT night stay for both of us and both the dogs. Well recommended and highly recommended if traveling with your furry friends.

    « Less than steller check-in »

After a long days driving we decided to stop in Elko for the night. We called the Best Western reservation number to book a room while still on the road. We are Best Western Rewards members & got a really good rate. What a night mare check in was! We gave the clerk our confirmation number & he couldn't find it so he was just going to set up a new reservation. The rate he came back with was much higher than what we had received on line so we asked him to call the corporate reservation number to confirm our reservation number & rate. The corporate reservation number confirmed our reservation & the rate but the clerk kept going back & forth with them on the confirmation number & rate because he couldn't get it to pull up in his hotel system. He even told them 'we don't have rates that low'. Once they finally got it thru to him that it was a valid reservation & rate it had been well over 30 minutes from the time we arrived. I had long since taken my sleepy granddaughter back tot he car leaving my daughter to fight the fight.. As the clerk was completing the paperwork on the reservation my daughter was chatting with him & asked he why this check in was such a hassle & asked if they had never had someone book online before arriving. He responded 'yes, but y'all just looked SHADY when you came in'. Not sure how a teacher, sleeping 9 year old & a grandmother can look 'shady'. Our room was at the far end of the hotel so we parked close to that end of the hotel & used the stairs to go to the second floor. The door leading into the hotel had a lock pad but my granddaughter was able to open it without swiping a card. Once in our room it was an average room & about what we expected. We were up & back on the road early so we didn't sample breakfast.

We stayed here on our way to CA. The hotel was very quiet and the breakfast spread was amazing. My only complaint - the pool was freezing! After driving 24 hour straight, we hoped to let the kids have some fun time, but it was just too cold. Otherwise, it was a great hotel.

    « Elko Best Western »

The best breakfast value available at a hotel in Elko. Great pool, thoughtful amenities. The rooms are great with chairs and ottomans, everything from paper pens, great lighting, wonderful lobby with fruit flavored water, fruit, teas and coffee, fresh baked cookies, at a great price.

Unfortunately, they were in the process of changing out beds. They were still working when we checked in shortly after 4 PM. We stayed in our room until around 6 PM, when we went out to dinner. The next morning, after the provided breakfast, we checked out and had to work around the mess of them changing out beds. The exit drive way was a mess and we had to wait until they cleared the driveway.

    « Very nice hotel! »

My family and I came in as walk in the desk clerk Eli did an amazing job on getting us a very nice room and also provided great dinner recommendations. He was very professional and relatable which made us feel comfortable. The room was very nice my kids enjoyed the 24hour pool. Breakfast was good to. I will definitely stay at this location again and recommend it to everyone.
