    « Could be Better »

Gnereally this hotel was well maintained and the staff were excellent. However, the room we had on the ground floor with parking directly in front of the room was a little dated and the sheets for the king bed did not really fit. The sheets kept coming off the bed in the night. Could have used a more modern mattress to improve sleep quality and reduce the motion felt be each other when rolling over at night. Floors were a little noisy. Perhaps an upgraded cushion flooring would help, or going to carpet. Not many external garbage receptacles for dog poop bags and looked like many were not picking up dog dirt on grassed area to side of hotel. Hotel staff should clean that area up daily and try to insist on owners carrying out their responsibilities.

« Kids Loved The Pool »

We stayed at this property for the first time two weekends ago as a stop on route to Ontario. Great location off the highway. Very clean. The pool is awesome with a separate area for smaller children. This was great as one of our children is two. Very pleasant staff as well.

    « Awesome »

Awesome service awesome staff. I wish there were more best western around they would receive all of our service rooms and beds were comfortable and pool was clean. Very kid friendly and welcome. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast was great

    « Great hotel »

Have stayed at this hotel many times. Have always enjoyed the time spent there. Staff are efficient and helpful. The pool and hot tub are always clean and welcoming. The bar is a great place to relax and enjoy some friendly conversation. Overall one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

    « Very nice hotel »

I stayed here for a week and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and spacious. Lots of parking and space for tractor and buses. The Lounge is very nice with great local beers and again very friendly staff. The pool and hot tub are great and it would be amazing for a family. The breakfast is above standard with eggs, bacon, ham, potatoes and beans also has the regular stuff too. Strongly recommend this location.

    « A welcomed relief »

Only seconds from the TransCanada Highway. Ample parking. Nice view of Edmondson from the hill. Very reasonable rates. Excellent breky. Fun pool for kids and relaxing for business travel (providing its NOT a hockey tournament weekend : ( Bilingual staff are always friendly and accommodating. Recent facelift has made the interior even more impressive. Comfortable rooms and quiet hallway floors! On our journey this is often our overnight destination. Make it yours too!

« Great place for a stay whichever direction you're going on the TCH »

My wife and I stayed here last year on our way to our daughter and son-in-law for a visit to their new home in Ontario. This is a great choice; efficient service, great customer experience and solid advice on anything local. Looking forward to returning on Monday evening next week, and I will likely be returning on the trip back home.

    « Business Trip Travel »

While on business in Nova Scotia, I stayed here for one night. I had a late check in but I was placed in a ground floor room where I was able to back right up to my door. The room had a separated washroom area, that could be closed off to the hall door by another door. This made the room very quiet to foot traffic in the hotel. The hotel is also away from the main highway and was very quiet from vehicle traffic. The check in and out was very easy as I booked online.

    « Nice, clean hotel »

we had a room with sliding door, easy to take luggage in/out! Nice bed, bathroom, & furniture. Popcorn in the room is a nice touch! The hair dryer isn't very good. Took a long time to dry my hair. I called for an extra blanket and 2 mins later a lady showed up with 2...

    « Great Hotel! »

I stay here 2 nights a month for work and i really enjoy it, the hotel is always very clean and the pool and fitness areas are always fun to visit as well. The complementary breakfast is very good and has a great selection of food to satisfy most people!

    « Excellent business stay »

I spent 6 nights here in early March for business. I booked one of their newly renovated executive king rooms. It was well worth the extra $11 a night that I paid. It felt nice to come back to each day and have that extra little bit of comfort and luxury. The bedding and pillows were great and I liked the bigger TV and modern furnishing better than their regular rooms. Also on the top floor so no noise above you. I tried out the bar for the first time on this trip. It's very nice - definitely check it out! The bar staff is so friendly and by night two I felt like a regular. Great happy hour prices for 4 pm to 7 pm. I'd suggest adding two for one wine or shots as well as the two for one beer. That would be a great touch! Loved my stay in every way. Can't comment on the breakfast as I never took part. It was March break and there were too many kids in there for my liking. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Edmundston. Very friendly GM helped me out with a small issue as well.

« noisy, noisy, old decor, uncomfortable bed »

worst hotel stay in years, would not recommend to anyone!!! Noise transfer from hallway was horrible, staff could not control noisy guest. really old decor. the beds were really hard and uncomfortable. would have slept better in the car

    « Nice Place »

Stayed on rout to QC. Clean and friendly staff. This is a pet friendly hotel. Rooms were clean a typical of Best Western Plus. There is a nice lounge where you can unwind and have some local craft beer from the Grand Sault Brewery. Lots of parking if your hauling snowmobile trailer. Don't hesitate.

« Half way to Nova Scotia »

I usually chose a Best Western as they have never disappointed me yet. This hotel had a great breakfast, small pool, hot tub. I love that it didn't have carpets so it felt cleaner then most hotels. Staff was very friendly and comfortable beds. Will definitely use this stop in the summer.

    5
    « beautiful hotel »

After a long 12 hour drive from Ontario to New Brunswick, during a blustery snow storm and horrible driving conditions, this hotel was a welcome site. We did not have a reservation, but they were happy to accomodate us. The rooms were spacious, clean and very modern. The price was also very reasonable. Restaurant was not available on site, but there were plenty restaurants close by or you could have delivery to the hotel.I stay here again!!!

    5
    « Family vacation »

The suites are spacious, clean and the beds are sooo comfy. Keurig and popcorn in the rooms. Breakfast is good, the bar has a nice decor and atmosphere. Best place to stay in Edmundston. The kids love the pool and the water slide.

    « Edmundston Best Western »

Very nice staff although bar/lounge staff wasn't available. Bar/lounge food was ALL deep fried. No other choices. Unfortunately that is fairly close to what is available in the rest of Edmundston NB. I stayed mostly due to inclimate weather and the long drive from GTA to Quebec City.

    4
    « Great stay »

To be honest I would have given 5 but at 1:00 am there was a late check in above my room and they were loud walkers and woke me up. The staff are super friendly and efficient. The room with a king bed was large and very clean. The breakfast was the best for a hotel which breakfast is included. Good coffee with delicious eggs and sausages. There is a pool available. This would be a definite return stay.

    5
    « 1st Class Staff »

Never had any inconveniences to speak of. The staff are very accommodating to my needs. Because I am a regular guest, once a week, they make me feel like I am coming home and will often go out of their way to book the same room for me almost every time.

    5
    « Great Stay »

The hotel was very nice and the people were very helpful and freindly. The rooms were very lean and large enough for family. Very quiet and clean hotel and decorated nice for Holidays. Good breakfast. Close to all the down town area and places to go.

    5
    « Great stay »

Very nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. Kids had a blast on the water slide. Hot tub was relaxing. Breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and baked beans). Kids loved the waffles. Room size was nice. Overall, great stay.

« Best Western, Edmundston, NB »

We would recommend this hotel. This was our first time staying at a Best Western and we will certainly stay there again on our yearly trip to the east coast of Canada and back to Toronto. Our one issue is that the bed was a little too firm.

    5
    « Christmastime trip »

Travelling for Christmastime family visit. We akways stay at the Best Western Plus in Edmundston, NB. It is the 1/2 way mark of our trip and an excellent place to stop. Excellent service, clean rooms and free internet. It also has a pool and a great bar/lounge. It includes a free breakfast with great service. A nice pickup to get you on the road.

    « Hosting sports teams »

I am a member of the Reward program. Was not recognize as one guest. Last 3 times went there they had sports teams or workers that made so much noise. Looking at the price I will consider other hotels next time in Edmunston.

    « Great Hotel »

Ever since this hotel has opened I have stayed here. Usually 7 to 10 nights per year. Staff are great. Room are spacious and great to the business traveler. Newly renovated breakfast are. It is larger than before with a lot more variety

    « Great stay »

I always enjoy staying at the Bestwestern in Edmundston but I really enjoy it around the Christmas holidays. The extra effort they put into the lobby is amazing and they also spare no expense as they had a crane on site for the giant Christmas tree on the canopy roof. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the room is always very very clean. I travel here every couple months for work and would not even consider staying else where. Keep up the high standards of quality.

« more elegant than expected »

I became a Best Western member while travelling across the country, just because the 2nd time I stayed at the same place an employee recognized me and STRONGLY suggested I join. He was nice and doing his job so well, and really cared, so why not? This time, because I had recently received an email from the BW membership rewards program, when my drive got held-up from an accident on the highway, meaning I would need a room for that night, I called BW to book one. Turned out the place was gorgeous. Elegantly decorated for Christmas. The people were extremely pleasant. The room was much better than expected. And my rewards membership savings even paid for my dinner, essentially. Great job, BW employees!!

    3
    « Great breakfast »

Staff were pleasant and fluently bilingual upon arrival. Check-in was quick. The lobby is tastefully decorated for the holidays. The pool and slide look like fun (glad my daughter wasn't on the trip or we likely never would have left the pool area!) The hotel is large and seems somewhat older and outdated although it is evident that several major upgrades have been done by way of renos. My large room/suite had a microwave and mini fridge and enough room for several beds (although there was only 1!). The room likely had carpeting I assume but it has been removed and replaced with hardwood-looking laminate. The bathtub/shower and toilet are also new. Wifi was available although the connection was strong. The best part was the buffet style complimentary breakfast. The coffee was actually pretty good! (I am a coffee snob). Will likely be part again on my next business trip!

    5
    « Wonderful Experience »

Great jewel of a hotel. We stayed for one night while travelling from PEI to Montreal. The hotel is in pristine condition and the Christmas decorations throughout the hotel were spectacular. The room was very clean and comfortable with a pleasant decor. We were particularly excited leased with the quality of the high speed Internet. The complimentary breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs sausages, bacon and potato wedges. There was also a pancake station, bagels, pastries, bread cereal and of course juice and coffee. This was a very enjoyable stay with excellent friendly professional staff.

    5
« Clean, modern, convenient hotel with friendly bi-lingual staff »

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edmunston at the Best Western. This is a new hotel close to the highway and casino with all the amenities. The staff were fluently bi-lingual and most helpful. We'll definitely make this a regular stop!

    « STAY HERE »

In April of last year my wife and I stayed at this hotel and submitted a poorer than usual review. The hotel's director of rooms tracked me down and contacted me. She explained there was an error made in my room assignment and she wanted to resolve it by staying one more time. I did that a week ago and had one of the best stays in a hotel ever. As a platinum BW rewards member I can be upgraded to the best available room. Well I was, and all I can say is Wow! From the time we checked in, had complimentary drinks at the bar, assigned room 418 (you have to see it to believe it), and checked out the next morning, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was over the top. They do the BW brand proud. And yes, I will always stay here when travelling through Edmunston.

    4
    « BW Edmundston NB »

Modern, clean and a good value for your money. The staff is friendly both at the desk and at the lounge, and the pool is nice and clean. The tiny breakfast room is poorly laid out with respect to flow and a chaotic way to start your day. I skipped that part and went to one of the many restaurants in the neighbourhood

    4
    « Almost perfect »

This hotel is either fairly new or newly renovated. I had a room with a king sized bed, desk, wing back chair, keurig coffee machine, and fridge. There is no carpet in the room! Just a couple of area rugs by the bed. I found that to be very clean and inviting. My only complaint about this and the drawback from being a perfect rating was the bed. For all the Reno's and beautiful touches in this hotel.....the beds are cheap and awful to sleep in. My coworker had a room with two queen beds and she slept in both of them thinking one may be different than the other....she found both of hers to be awful as well. She also said that the chairs in her room were uncomfortable. I have stayed in a few best westerns and this was by far the worst bed/sleep that I have ever had. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I have had at a hotel. My suggestion would be to offer Greek yogurt along with the regular yogurt. Also, the boiled eggs could be in a crockpot and kept hot instead of cold. Otherwise, excellent breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, taters, beans, choice of grains for toast/bagels etc , yogurt, cereals, milk, juice coffee. Etc. Staff that I came in contact with were excellent. Friendly, smiling, and efficient. Please replace your beds. When you do....your hotel will be a five in my books.

« Best hotel in Edmundston! »

The hotel was immaculate, the staff was extremely friendly and their breakfast was delicious. We liked the location, it is close to several restaurants and also to center of town. The view of the city from such a location is superb.

    « Hockey Stay »

We stayed at this hotel to watch my nephew play hockey. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, breakfast was amazing and had so many choices and the decor was so nice. The staff was very helpful and informative. The location of the hotel was fantastic. Also, it's a short distance from the new Hockey Arena which was very nice. We definitely want to stay there again.

« Excellent Hotel, Great Location »

The hotel is on a hill above the Trans Canada Highway so it is easily found as there is an exit onto the street the hotel is on. The hotel is attractively furnished and the rooms are large. The rooms are quiet although if you are on the first or second floors you can sometimes hear people walking above you. There is fresh lemonade in the lobby and a nice pool just off the lobby. The complimentary breakfast is good with the usual eggs, breakfast meat, pastries, etc. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful and fluently bilingual. This is a very popular hotel so book early if you know you are coming here.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Stayed here on a business trip. This hotel is 10 years old and in very good condition. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is included and the food is good and hot. Staff are very cheerful and interact with thier guests. I would highly recommend this location.

« Always favourite place to stay »

This hotel has everything you need when travelling and you feel welcome no matter when you arrive. It is always clean with a very nice decor and comfortable bed. No matter what type of room you book they are all clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing always fresh with a large selection of items.

    4
« Good value for the price »

I did not expect luxury, but it was an excellent value. Plenty of parking in the front and back lots, Easy access on and off the highway. Breakfast room is a bit on the smallish size but there was certainly enough to eat. Room was an excellent size and all the amenities that you could want including wifi. Would certainly stay here again

« Beautiful Luxury Feel hotel »

This beautiful hotel overlooks Edmundston on the hill. It is very close to all amenities. The rooms are vary spacious and comfortable, with free hot breakfast, cable tv and wifi included. The room I had, had a small kitchenette which was great as I do not like to go out and eat alone so it was a bonus.

    5
« The best hotel could not say any thing bad about it »

This hotel is the best and I have stayed in some of the best that are not as nice as this . The room was very clean large room no carpet every thing was in great shape .staff are very nice and helpful they have every thing you need there great free breakfast .easy to to off the highway hospital across the St so good place to be if you have any one in there . I will stay at Best Western plus when I need a hotel again

    5
    « EXCELLENT »

Very quiet location, easy to get to off the highway!! Modern facilities. Only draw back was no grab bars in the bathroom. Breakfast area clean with lots of selections. We would highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « The Breakfast Alone... »

This hotel is our favourite for travelling along Hwy 2. The hot breakfast alone is reason enough to stay here. The sausage is by far the tastiest, and the bacon is a close second. Highly recommended for this reason and of course how neat, tidy, and appealing the overall look and feel of this hotel

    5
« Great spot to rest on long journey »

This hotel is very welcoming to drivers making long drives from Toronto to Southern Nova Scotia. The hotel serves a free nutritious breakfast with lots of choices that helps get you back on the road quickly to continue your journey.T he staff are very knowledgeable about local services and attractions. They also can guide you to route times and ferry schedules. Rooms are comfortable with fridge and microwave.

« Welcome to a great travel treat »

We were impressed with the hotel, the room and the staff. We arrived tired and left the hotel in the morning well refreshed with a full stomach. Highly recommend this hotel The hotel was situated beside a few restaurants, near a shopping centre and right beside a casino. It had easy access on and off the highway.

    5
    « Great stop! »

We were heading home after a two week tour of the east coast. We stayed in many different venues. This was by far was the best hotel we stayed in. The pool and hot tub were refreshing after a day of driving. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

    5
    « Great experience »

Have stayed at this hotel several times. Always clean and inviting everywhere. Staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is good to relax in. The bar is an area where there is always interesting conversation and has some great local beers. Will stay there again.

    5
    « Great overnight stay »

We had a great overnight stay at this hotel. The décor is quaint and certainly different. Very clean - we loved the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate and lemonade in the lobby. It added a very nice touch. The staff were excellent and very helpful! Beds were comfortable and it was in a really convenient location. Wish we had more time there!

    5
« Excellent - A Role Model for the Industry »

Our stay at this hotel was the best ever, bar none! The manager and her staff were most caring and understanding following a very upsetting online booking experience through a third-party agency! The hotel is extremely beautiful, both inside and out, and the staff reflect the pride that shows in all aspects of this establishment! Comfort in the fullest!

    4
    « Alberta Bound »

Clean and neat although showing it's age a bit. Easy to find, and close too many restaurants. Welcomed my dog, which was important to me. Mattress should be replaced. Reasonable rate and much as expected from Best Western.

    5
    « Family oriented »

This hotel is such a pleasant place to stay. The staff is friendly, rooms are beautiful, breakfast is fantastic. Restaurants close but to choose from. Casino down street. Hospital across the road if any medical emergencies. I have stayed there twice a year for the last 5 years, and always look forward to rebooking. If you are by yourself it's a safe and secure hotel. I would recommend this to anyone. Going back next week for a couple days.

    1
« Once was good but no longer »

This hotel needs a renovation. The room we had stunk from dogs and the chairs were worn out. We have stayed here whenever we are in the area but this will be our last time until some renovations are done. The beds and pillows are worn out. Perfect location but time to look elsewhere for a hotel.

    4
« Very nice hotel and rooms »

The hotel, staff, rooms, and breakfast were all very nice. We just needed a place to sleep for one night as we continued on with our journey the next morning. I found it to be a bit on the expensive side but it was a very nice place.

    5
    « Lovely stay »

The pool area in this lovely hotel is quite enjoyable for a family traveling with children. The breakfast is one of the best we have enjoyed in a hotel. Very comfortable and clean room. We would stop here again next time we travel to the East Coast and hopefully bring our grandkids!

  • 5
« located just off highway »

This hotel lives up to and exceeds the best hotel that Best western has that we have visited the décor the rooms the front desk the friendliness of the staff would be very hard to beat, it has a winding staircase to the lounge an indoor pool and hot spa has antiques galore. but let me advise you if you are going there this year ask for a room on the front right hand side as at the rear is a very noisy construction area that makes it so you have to have the windows closed, free wifi and a very good breakfast were included

    5
    « pleasant stay »

This hotel is lovely, very nice decor, just off highway. Nice spacious room, relaxing poor area and a good breakfast area. There was a wide selection of breakfast items, the staff kept everything full.

    5
    « I love this place! »

I've stayed here alone, with hubby, with kids and grandkids. We all love this hotel. Rooms are super clean, modern, inviting and comfy with all the conveniences. I particularly love the windows that open (in lieu of air conditioning) and the floors which are covered with linoleum instead of carpeting. Other areas (snack, pool and breakfast) are also clean, well stocked and organized. For the kids, the water slide and pool are major hits, as is the buffet style breakfast. The staff at this hotel is outstanding - always couteous and obliging. THE Best Western!

    5

    « Disappointing Experience »

We booked this hotel at the midway point of a long road trip, but we will stay elsewhere in the future. We've stayed at other Best Western Plus properties and so my expectations were appropriately set. On arrival we were met with a long line up for check-in, and only one clerk at the desk. Eventually a second staff member appeared but then took a phone call immediately, ignoring the long line-up. It took over 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. The guest right in front of us was an elderly man and his wife was seated to the side, holding a walker. They were informed that the only elevator was broken. They were offered no options to access their room, and so they decided to go out to supper while awaiting the elevator repairman. Our room was on the third floor. With no elevator service we hauled our luggage up the stairs, only to discover that the electronic key cards didn't work. I sat on the hallway floor guarding our luggage while my husband went to get them re-programmed - a task that took some time because there was still a line at the desk. Once finally in our room, we raced to the (small!) TV, as our decision to stop where we did was based on our interest in watching a televised sporting event - the start of which we had already missed because of the slow check-in and key troubles. When we turned on the TV, we discovered that the picture quality was terrible. The normal remote had been replaced with a dumbed-down version that was limited to volume and scanning channels, and so there was no easy way to adjust the contrast or brightness. When we turned in, we quickly learned that the bed was firm to a fault, and uncomfortable as a result. We both had a poor sleep. And in the morning when we headed down for the complimentary breakfast..... surprise .... no elevator. So, down the stairs again with two suitcases and a cooler.... and we are no spring chickens!! It seems to me that if the elevator is out of service it's repair should be a top priority. While it is out of service, extra staff should be called in asap and guests on upper floors should then be offered bell-hop service for their luggage. Elderly and infirm guests should immediately be offered passage on the cargo elevator. Staffing levels need to be increased all around, and service standards maintained. Sadly I will never know if these changes happen as we took our business elsewhere on the drive home and had a great experience.

« Nice room, great location »

This is a nice hotel. the rooms are spacious. The beds are comfy. Tons of hot water. The breakfast area is so small, we couldn't find a place to sit so had to go elsewhere for breakfast. They have a buffet style and the place was packed. We were called and asked to exchange our room for someone that needed a drive up room. We agreed to the switch and were offered 2 drinks at the lounge for doing the switch, we didn't end up using those so can't comment on the lounge area.

    « A Great Place to Stay »

My husband and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Edmunston NB. Loved everything about this hotel. Clean, modern rooms beautifully decorated. Very clean, comfortable beds and fresh linens. Would highly recommend.

Definitely one of the better Best Westerns. The staff were extremely gracious, the rooms are oversize and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good if a little tight for space. We would happily stay here again.

« GOOD CHOICE FOR STOP OVER »

My wife and two young grandsons and myself stopped here on the way to Shediac. The front entrance has a roof over it so you can drive under it and unload without getting wet.( it was raining when we arrived) The lobby is large and inviting.Check-in was quick and friendly. They young ladies at the front desk were helpful in finding local take out places for food. They do not have a restaurant in the hotel. They have a lounge that we did not visit. They have a small pool and slide. The pool is about 3 to 4 feet in depth. You need someone in the pool to catch any non swimmers. The water was not very warm. They also have a hot tub. They serve a free hot breakfast of eggs, bacon ,sausages ,waffels etc.The room gets full but there is seating available in the lobby. We enjoyed it.The room was clean and large with two queen beds,a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The one problem is the elevator, it is very slow.We would stay here again if coming through the area.

« OK stay at BW in Edmundston »

The check experience was good. The hotel looks new. Lots of parking. The pool looked great but I didn't use it. The rooms have no carpeting and the floors felt gritty. There was a hole in the wall over my bed which I didn't appreciate.

« "Best" Western to date »

I Like the Best Western chain for a couple of reasons. First, they are pretty consistent in quality and service. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule but generally they have standards and try to adhere to them. I also like them for their adaptable pet policy and the consistency they show towards travelling pet owners. I stay in the chain about 75 % of the time. That having been said, the Best Western Plus in Edmundston was a pleasant surprise in that it exceeded my expectations and set a new bar. The parking is great and that is appreciated when you travel with a trailer of any sort. The staff were exceptional in their professionalism and calmly and efficiently checked in numerous waiting guests with attention and consideration for all. The room was clean, set up specifically for use by pet owners with a hard and clean surface and it was very nicely decorated with a large bathroom. The hotel has a spa facility with hot tub and pool right off the main lobby with easy access. Despite being full, the hotel was quiet and immaculately clean throughout. The breakfast was also exceptionally well done and I consider it more extensive then other "Plus" level Westerns I have stayed in. My only complaint (and it is trivial) is that they have yet to replace the room lamps with new ones having power outlets and USB charging ports on the bed table or desk. Apart from that minor inconvenience, the stay was above average. I will stay there again when we next go East. this appears to be a popular hotel and people were being turned away due to the vacancy problem. My suggestion is book ahead especially on weekends in summer.

« Great Stop for a weary traveler »

Great hotel, stayed there many times. Best to book ahead as it is very popular for travelers. Just off the highway, with ample parking for any vehicle type. Staff are courteous and patient and the hotel decor is warm and visually interesting. What I liked best about our room on the third floor was that the patio door/window opened (with a screen). What a treat - fresh air in a hotel room!

Newish hotel with comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. Location near the highway is convenient and the continental breakfast has plenty of choices. Staff are friendly. Stayed here before and will be back again.

« Great Location from the Highway »

We stayed twice, once on our way to PEI and once on our way back to Ontario. We enjoyed the hot tub to relax and met other friendly travelers. The bar on the second floor was lovely & the mixed drinks were excellent. It was close to restaurants and the casino. Free parking and nice breakfast was included. The rooms were very comfortable. We had a problem with a loud, boisterous dog in the room above us. We called the front desk at 11:00pm and the problem was rectified within 5 minutes. We were very happy and slept well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

This was our first experience in a Best Western hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edmunston. The breakfast was amazing with a plethora of choices. The pool had a waterslide and a large hot tub, which was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The decor and atmosphere of the hotel was awesome. The staff were very friendly and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, I appreciate the fact they offer military and senior discounts, for us, and my parents.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was amazing! The lobby was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and don't even get me started on the complimentary breakfast! They even have a hot beverage machine in the lobby that makes free cappuccinos, lattes, coffee and hot chocolate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling through Edmunston.

We booked this Hotel with expedia 2 Hours before arriving, it was a great hotel with a nice pool for the kids, Our room was on the ground level and were able to park right outside a patio door which made unloading the kids stuff a breeze, I was extremely happy with the breakfast items and seating room. Would Recommend this Hotel and would stay again if travelling through again.

We used this hotel as a stop over for 1 night, however I would stay longer the next time. It is very dog friendly,we were traveling with 2 dogs and had no trouble . Rooms are very clean and spacious. The only down side was there is no restaurant on sight, however there are places close by to get food. They do offer ground floor rooms for people travelling with pets which is really nice.

    « Passing Through »

My family of 4 stayed here for one night. We were passing through, on our way home to NS from QC. Our vacation had been long and very busy, so we were all very tired and didn't feel like the 13 hour driving trip in one straight run. We were lucky to get this room as it was the only one left. The attendants were absolutely the BEST! We got a family suite with two Queen beds and a pull out couch (so everyone had their own bed), plus a kitchen. YES A REAL KITCHEN! Stove/oven/range hood, stand up fridge with freezer, microwave, keurig, cutlery, table, bar top counter and chairs! WOW! Thank you Best Western! You really saved our family from complete exhaustion! Even though the pool isn't very big, the slide was a hit for the kids and they quickly forgot about the size of the pool, plus the hot tub was big enough for four couples to sit comfortably. We will definitely be staying here again if we need to stop for a night on our yearly trip to QC!

    5
    « Clean! »

What a great place for an enroute stop between Ontario and the Maritimes. Rooms were immaculate, staff were very friendly and helpful. All amenities were in good working order. We would certainly stay there again.

« A short but extremely enjoyable stay »

We appreciated the locality, the quality of the service in general, the cooperation and openess of the staff, the fact that we were greeted and spoken to in French by everyone we met, which really made us feel at home at all times. We are very tired when we arrived and we needed to rest. The bed was heavenly and the room was extremely quiet.

Ac did not work at all it was hot as hell and they told us To use the reset switch which we did but then it would stop after 10 min. It was 26 in the room we woke up every 10 min and did not sleep good. They offered us a $30 discount but in my opinion it should ve been more.

    « Perfect stay »

I'm a regular customer and always staying at the Best Western in Edmundston. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms are very clean and spacious. Whenever I need to unwind I move to the Inox. Management is very professionnal, convenient and do the extra to make sure the stay is perfect. I would recommend to all the people passing thru the city of Edmundston. 5 star review for a '5 star Hotel'!

    « Nice .. »

Our family of 7 stayed here on our way to Nova Scotia and on our way back. It suited our needs perfectly. Pool was great. Breakfast was fine, nothing spectacular but that was expected. The only complaint is that the rooms are non-carpeted. Very noisy. The people above us were up at 5 am and that means so were we. Lots of restaurants close by. I would stay again but would request the top floor.

    5
« Great stay, great staff »

All the staff was very friendly overall, it was a really great stay. A small problem happened on the return trip (heading back towards Ottawa from the Maritimes) but mistakes happen and all in all, things work out. (we had booked 2 king size beds, the trip towards the maritimes we had the 2 beds, but a mistake happened in the booking,, and on the return trip we had a king and a pull out bed from a couch, we made due. Humans make mistakes, mine or theirs, mistakes happen)

    « GREAT STAY »

We only stayed 1 night. Room was a suite, and very spacial. Beds were really comfy. Breakfast was really well done. Better than some hotel breakfasts I've had. Elevators were a little slow but not a big deal.

    « Ok Experience »

The motel is beautiful inside & out. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the beds are not comfortble! We were disappointed with the floor level, as you could hear the people moving about their room above. Overall, not a bad experience.

    4
« Nice Hotel - Request a lower level as elevator is really slow »

We stayed here for one night with our family of 5 (3 adult children) on our way to Quebec City. We originally were booked in a room with two beds and a roll-away bed for $210 (before taxes). We asked if a bigger room was available at check-in, and they had a suite with two beds and pull-out couch for $217 which was any easy decision. Our suite in the 4th floor was very nice. The floors were a wood laminate instead of carpet, which was a plus. There was a pocket door between the bedroom and the room with the sleeper sofa and desk, which was nice if you have one person who stays up later. Breakfast was satisfactory, pretty standard fare. The pool is small and geared towards smaller children. The fitness center was very small but still had an elliptical, treadmill, bike, and a universal machine (but complicated. There is only one elevator, and it was extremely slow. We used the stairs most of the time. We tried to use a luggage cart upon checkout but gave up after 15 minutes of pushing the down button only to have it go off without bringing the elevator. We loaded up and carried our luggage down the 3 flights of stairs instead. We informed the front desk, but they just shrugged and indicated that was normal. This probably would have been a 5 star hotel stay if we were on the 1st floor.

    4
« Stayed while driving to and from Ontario »

    « Good stop over »

We recently stayed for one night during our trip out east. The hotel has a nic and unique decor and is welcoming. The check in was smooth and the staff were helpful and polite. My son loved the pool complete with slide and splash pad area after the day in the car. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel was very busy and I susphad cut that they were sold out during our stay. This was evident fro. The amount of noice that could be heard coming from the floors above us. However, this is to be expected to some degree while staying in hotels, The breakfast that they put n was one of the better complimentary hotel breakfast that I have had. It was a nice and convienitemt way to start our day for our long drive home. I would stay here again if i was in the area.

    1
    « No pillows »

Yes that's right, no pillows. I booked a room for my family a week before arriving at the hotel in Edmundston. I wanted 2 queen beds but settled for a king bed. Problem is there are 5 of us and 2 dogs. Not a problem they said we will give you a cot. How nice. When we arrived at 830 pm I was told I was going to be charged $10 for the cot. I was also told that there was a pull out bed in the sofa so I decided to forgo the cot and save $10. So my wife went up ahead and told me after I got up to the room that the door was open. Nice. So now we pull out the sofa bed and there are no pillows. We have 4 pillows on the king bed but no pillows for the sofa bed. Not a problem I thought. This is a hotel and they specialize in this area. My wife went down to ask for more pillows and low and behold they have no spare pillows. The hotel is booked solid and I guess that means they don't have extra pillows. So now I'm getting annoyed. So I figure I'll relax with a cup of coffee. But apparently they only stock decaf in my room. So now I go downstairs to get proper coffee and inquire again about the pillow situation. They amazingly have coffee but don't seem to concerned for the plight of my pillow situation. So back upstairs. After checking the bathroom out I realize we have 2 towels for 5 people. The bathroom amenities included 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 bar soap. Oh and a shower cap. I am to tired now to head back downstairs. I attempt to sleep but realize that best western for some reason has installed a bowling alley above my room or so it sounded like. Finally things quiet and I sleep. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was cold and I was the first one in the breakfast room. Not impressed with this best western. Have stayed here in the past but likely will never stay again. The value for your money is not there. One last thought for the owner. Take some of the money you overcharge for the rooms and buy some pillows. Not impressed. Do not stay at this hotel, unless you like not sleeping. You will be disappointed.

    « Great Room but »

Stayed twice during The room was great and clean it had a comfortable bed mini fridge +microwave wifi was very reliable the pool was great the kids that were there were have fun -the staff was friendly did not like the Keurig coffee maker as it did not was not suitable to make a cup of tea and the air conditioner thermostat requires calculator to adjust as uses the unCanadian outdated thermostats that use Fahrenheit units instead of normal units used by 95% of world including Canada -Celsius I would give the place an excellent if it was Celsius ones But will stay again

    3
« Stay at Best Western »

Overall, it was okay, compared to the previous stays we had. The hotel next door serves the same service and can be a lot cheaper compared to what you get. The breakfast could be a lot better. Next time I will compare price, and who ever has the cheapest price is where I will stay. Location of hotel is the best for mid point when travelling.

    5
« Clean, great place to stay with family »

Stayed for 1 night with 4 adults and 2 kids. Rooms were very clean and up to date. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was beyond our expectations and had a variety of hot and cold items. The price was more then what we usually like to spend but it was worth it. I would definitely return.

    4
« Good value and service »

Has all important features of hotel, could use a restaurant but the breakfast is fantastic. Rooms are clean and basic but contain all necessities. Even have a sliding door between entry and bed areas to dampen noise and light. Parking is simple and plenty of it. Staff is always friendly and quick to process requests.

    3
« A newish hotel with little appeal but probably the best around »

My room was on the ground floor so could park the car directly outside and load luggage via patio doors. The rooms were large and clean. No safe as far as I could see. No restaurants so you need to go out. Best of a bad bunch is probably Boston Pizza. Breakfast is complementary and was OK but the room was far too small for the number of guests. The pool was ideal for children.

    3
« Was nice except the 4 am wake up call from the garbage truck »

This hotel was nice , clean and had a few nice room perks ( coffee , popcorn) the one problem I had was a 4 am garbage pick up right under my window. Loud garbage truck sucks to be woken up to! Maybe better to not have a room facing the parking lot if you want sleep on garbage days! I know it has to be picked up, but 4 am?! Ridiculous

    5
    « Great stay! »

Well thought out room for our family stay en route to PEI. Great to have internet in the room and the pool to relax in after a long day of driving. Popcorn was great while we watched TV. My husband and I loved the self-serve coffee machine. The breakfast included had a good variety of options and got us back on the road quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

    3
« Excellent site and staff, but not set up for the large number of guests that stay »

We stopped here on our way home to Montreal, and it was a welcome place to stay. Excellent accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, nice bar area to relax, great pool for the kids, and plenty of amenities. We were able to order in supper and enjoy it in the bar with a few drinks, which was most welcome. Plus we had an excellent night's sleep and the room was impeccable. The only issue is that the hotel does not seem able to accommodate the number of guests it receives. The complimentary breakfast area was absolute mayhem in the morning. Not only was the line for food a half-hour long, but there weren't enough tables by far to seat everyone. The one elevator at the 4-floor hotel was horrifically slow and many guests gave up waiting and used the stairs. It even broke down the day we left, so we and other guests had no choice but to cart luggage down 4 flights of stairs. The staff were trying their very best to help, but they could really only do so much. This is an issue with ownership and not employees. If the hotel owners are going to advertise themselves as an ideal stop-over for guests to and from the Maritimes, as well as add the "Plus" to their name, they really need to ensure the breakfast accommodates the number of guests staying and that guests don't have to carry luggage up and down stairs because the elevator situation is inadequate. Kudos to staff who constantly did their best to help. They are a true asset to this hotel.

    « Good Stopover Hotel »

I think a lot of people use Edmunston as a stopover to/from the Maritimes. The Best Western was a good hotel for that. It was a busy hotel-- they were full for the night we stayed in July-- so if you plan to stay, I would book ahead. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is small and the waterslide is small as well--mainly for small kids, but is well used when we were there. The breakfast was good but the breakfast room can get busy in the morning as there are a limited amount of tables, so,plan accordingly if the hotel is full. But there is good selection for breakfast and we were pleased with it.

    5
    « Excellent stay »

The Edmunston Best Western hotel is excellent. Staff is bilingual, the hotel is pet friendly, prices are very decent, and the hotel is perfectly located close to the Trans Canada highway. The dining room is only for breakfast but there is a list of local restaurants that deliver to your room. We recommand this hotel to anyone transiting through Edmunston.

« Great, friendly spot en route from Ontario to New Brunswick »

I travel solo with my pup, Sherlock, frequently. The Best Western Plus in Edmunston was a friendly place to stopover and rest on our trek from Toronto to our other home in St. Andrews, NB. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and functional, there are some decent delivery food options in the area (grounded as I have a dog with me all the time) and there is at least one patio in the area that welcomes well-behaved dogs. The full, hot breakfast is perfect to get you set for another long ride on the road and their excellent staff were very helpful putting a nice plate together for me since I had my pup in tow. You can eat in the "lobby" area with your dog which is great as it is nice to get out of your room. As an entrepreneur, good and reliable wifi is very important, which isn't always the norm in the area - the Best Western delivered. We would definitely stop by here again. Would be great if Sherlock was allowed in the bar area (or at least on the "deck"), but there are also tables and chairs outside the rooms on the ground floor to enjoy some of the weather. Thanks for a great stay! We'll see you soon!

    « Decent Stay »

This hotel is good value and a decent stay before or just leaving Quebec. The pros are lots of amenities like pool and fitness centre, free breakfast and comfortable beds. The cons are the hotel felt like it was still under construction in the lobby/breakfast area, they removed the carpets but put down vinyl flooring, the staff were just okay and the hotel felt very dated including the furniture. The stay was fine and probably the best in the area but we have also stayed in better overnight hotels as well.

« Great pet friendly accommodations. »

Clean, comfortable and pet friendly. Good value. Will definitely stay here again on our trips to and from Nova Scotia. This was a last minute reservation as our original booking did not work out. Reception staff were extremely helpful and accommodation exceeded our expectations.

« Pet friendly and great for those humans, too! »

This was a great place to stop on our trip across Canada with an 80 lb dog. He was comfortable, we were comfortable and the walk out patio door was a blessing for loading and unloading the car as well as easy access for a walk. No extra pet charge was a bonus as well.

    « Clean rooms, Pool/Hot tub, Bar »

Rooms: clean, lots of plug ins around the room, elevators to access the rooms. Unable to connect gaming system or tv boxes to tv Pool/Hot Tub: hot tub was a bit cold to my liking, but it was still enjoyable to sit in Bar: Newly renovated, very neat location at the very top of the entrance. Bartender was great, she was very friendly to communicate with

Another solid stay at this BW Plus. Enjoyed the hot tub. Easy check in/out. Breakfast still very good with several hot choices (no creton today). Terrific staff. Great room, great Diamond level upgrade. Good location just off the highway. You cannot go wrong chosing this BW!

    « Clean and quiet »

We stopped off here on our way to Nova Scotia for a gymnastics competition. Checkin was quick and easy. The rooms were large, well laid out and clean. The plumbing was a bit loud, but in an older building that is bound to happen. Breakfast was quite good. I wasn't expecting much as it was a Thursday morning in an off the beaten path type area, but I was very pleasantly surprised. There was a large selection, healthy options and my children absolutely loved the waffles. They assured me that the heart in the middle helped them taste delicious lol Checkout was easy and parking was free. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we won't hesitate to stay again.

The hotel was very nice however the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Neither myself, husband or teenage daughter slept very well due to the mattresses. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of selection of hot items.

« Nice hotel, good location. Poor customer service »

I use this hotel frequently and am a BWI loyalty points member. My biggest complaint is that although I book in advance and request a ground floor room. I have yet to receive a ground floor room. The check in desk personnel do not try to accommodate me. This time when checking in I was asked if I have stayed here before. My reservation should show that I am a frequent flyer with BWI. The hotel is comfortable and location is great for travel between New Brunswick and Quebec.

    « wow!! »

ok,,, the best western folks have stepped up the chain hotel game, I think- this was one of the best rooms I have had in a hotel- very modern, clean,(NO CARPET!!) spacious room, fantastic bathroom area, and the bed felt like I was laying in a nest.....or a cocoon.....the breakfast the next am was great for us- better than ye olde continental style... the lobby was very well done, sort of a cross between lodge and castle.... the staff at check in were great too, and bang on with food suggestion for supper (go to station 127!!!) I'd definitely stay here again!

    « Great stay »

Arrived at the hotel after 12 hours on the road and were quickly checked in. Room was clean and modern. There was a mini-fridge and microwave complete with popcorn as well as a Keurig machine. When you close the inner pocket door, you don't hear noise from the hallway. The bed was comfortable and much appreciated after the long drive. The included breakfast was very good with hot and cold choices including bacon, sausage, eggs and DIY waffles. Restaurants and gas stations are nearby. Would definitely stay again.

« Best Western Edmundston New Brunswick »

Overall, very pleased with quality and service at this hotel. The hotel is relatively modern with excellent rooms which are very clean. Hotel is off the highway such that road noise is not an issue and beds very comfortable providing for a good night;s sleep. Staff are very professional and bilingual. Only slight negative is that breakfast ares is small so that during summer times, it is quite busy and you may have to wait for a table.

    « Check-in & Check-out service issues »

It was a bad experience from check-in to check-out, highlighted by my reservation being "lost" and my room being cleaned before I had checked out (or the 11am mandatory checkout time had been reached). Upon returning to my room on the morning of checkout, I found the cleaning staff had already entered my room, cleaned it, and taken remaining items from my fridge for themselves. Front desk staff were unhelpful in resolving the situation and tried to make excuses for the cleaning crew.

« Noisy port in storm trying to be something it is not »

Used only as stepping of point to Quebec City on couple of trips now. Hotel to appearance looks good, quality of construction and fittings betray this. Noisy in hallways and rooms, some rooms have cars parked immediately outside room. Open lounge on first floor, parents can sit and enjoy a drink but the children do what children do which is run up and down adjacent hallways. The noise on lower floors because of this and iffy construction mean noise on lower floor is significant and will be until children hit their beds. Noisy enough to have people while I went down hall come out of their room and look upward towards roof overhead.

    « Disappointed »

I am a platinum member of BW reward program and stay at this hotel twice a year. I checked in tonight at 8pm and was told there were no upgrades and was given a room on the ground floor which was not near what we were used to staying in at this hotel. The room had several shortcomings. I know they only upgrade if available but at this time of year it's hard to believe that the upgraded rooms were all taken. This is an older hotel than a couple of newer ones just down the road. I'll be staying at one of those next time. A little effort by the person assigning rooms in the morning would go a long way. My request was clearly noted on the reservation and was ignored or missed. We have stayed in 50 Best Westerns in the past couple of years throughout North America and Europe. This was a first. There's more to choose from in the Best Western world. A little more effort goes a long way.

    « Great Hotel! »

What a great hotel! It was late in the evening and my wife and I were tired after a long day driving. We stopped at this hotel without a reservation and were very happy to get a room. The front staff were very pleasant and professional and took time to explain the services included in the cost of the room. The room was large, very clean, and comfortable. The internet service was fast and, as a bonus, the TV remote was clean! It is a type that can be washed/cleaned after a guest checks out. We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely look for a BW hotel in future travels.

« Excellent Service and Friendly atmosphere. »

The Hotel is in a great location and close to shopping and Restaurants. The Room was very clean and comfy. The Staff were very professional and helpful. Highly recommended place to stay for family. Will definitely stay there again.

    « Very helpful staff »

Too bad the pool is not open until 10 am in the morning. We had a big family road trip and letting out young ones have exercise before a day of sitting in a car would have helped our hotel experience.

« Good hotel at Edmundston »

It is a very good hotel at Edmundston. It has swimming pool for kids. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And there are several fast foods restaurants near it. You will love it.

« Nice Hotel Just off TransCanada »

We stayed here in 2014 so we knew the facility. Large foyer with wooden spiral staircase, fireplace, antique-looking soft chairs, all nicely decorated for Christmas. This time we had a drive-up which was very convenient. Seems we're always in Edmundston in the snow and this stay was no different. Two queen size beds, lots of pillows, a real bathtub plus shower and the usual amenities such as Keurig coffee, ironing board, bar fridge, microwave, and 42 inch flat screen TV. One very welcome feature is the hard floors throughout. Easy check-in and check out and friendly bilingual staff. There is a pool but we didn't use it.

    5
« Great Hotel, close to the highway »

This is a very good hotel, close to the TransCanada highway and close to the town and services of Edmundston. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the in-house breakfast is the standard BW one - nothing special about it. The room we had had laminate flooring so no worry about dusty rugs. The plumbing, AC, shower, TV etc. all worked well and the beds were very comfortable. A good choice for a hotel in Edmundston.

    5
    « Super place »

Good location with nice room. Breakfast is good and this hotel even has a bar/lounge, so no need to go outside. The rooms have Keurig coffee makers and even popcorn. The only thing I don't understand is why they don't put some milk/cream in the refrigerator in the room, rather than having that powdered creamer?

    4
    « Very nice »

I was there for 1 night on business, the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, I enjoyed the waffles. Love the fact there was no carpet in the rooms and the bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again if ever back in Edmundston.

    « What a nice surprise !!!! »

Arrived unexpectedly here on a Sunday mid-afternoon. Easy check-in. The front foyer is open concept, 2 level with a beautiful spiral staircase leading up to a bar/lounge that overlooks Edmundston. Spectacular view !!!! Honestly ....... What a layout ..... awesome decor ..... Room and bathroom were both clean. Free wi-fi, Rogers cable tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and a spacious table to set up your laptop. I felt very comfortable here. Whirlpool and pool were clean. Plenty of towels. Afternoon Sun beams in through the large windows that face the West. Breakfast was good. I would give it an 8 out of 10. If I was being picky ( and I am totally not ); maybe they could have had premium canned fruit cocktail; with the orange segments and pineapple chunks. The stuff they had was the "plain Jane" type. LOL The eating and service area was very very clean. I was impressed. I could go on; but there is no need. If you stay here; you will be back !!!!! Ahhhhhhh, yes, one more thing; I have to mention the front house staff. They were very helpful and efficient in their job. If I could say it in one word; experienced !! Thanks, it was a pleasure writing this review. Daniel

We spent a night in this hotel on our way to P.E.I for Christmas and have vowed to stay again when making the trek. « Very nice hotel with small bar and lovely French decor! »

Awesome feature of the hotel was a small, cozy bar on the second floor. After traveling all day on the road it was very nice to be able to check into your room and just walk down the hall for a glass of wine. The decor of the bar was very modern. Our server/bartender was named Josee' and she was so friendly and gave us info about New Brunswick and we enjoyed a great conversation about U.S. politics! Nicely furnished in French provincial decor, with Blue Boy pictures on the walls, etc. throughout whole hotel. Nice entry into rooms, pocket door to separate entry and bathroom from rest of room, spacious rooms. Only negative is that carpet would have been more cozy instead of the vinyl flooring the rooms had. They even sanitize the TV remote control!

    5
    « Great Stopover »

like the advertising along the highway, so we knew right where to get off. very easy to find. Super Value and service.it's a 10+.The rooms are large and the bathrooms spotless. Coffee is all ready inside the door. Will definity stay at Best Western again.

What a great place! Huge room! So nice and clean and the crib was assembled upon arrival. The pool was perfect. They have a nice shallow pool for toddlers which is a bonus. Breakfast was great and the staff was outstanding. Thanks so much for the perfect nights stay! Can't wait to come back!

« Good location, large rooms, modern hotel »

Stayed here as a halfway point between PEI and Montreal. The hotel is easy to reach, just off the main highway with good parking. Quick and friendly check-in. My room was very large with two queen beds and an outlook over the parking lot. Bathroom was large, bright and clean with enough supplies. The hotel has a bar with an outside terrace, but not a restaurant for lunch/ dinner. There are several restaurants and bars in the town. The bar upstairs has a limited selection of drinks, served with nuts by friendly and attentive staff during my visit. Room was clean and bed comfortable for a good night's sleep. Overall a good hotel in a practical location.

    5
    « large clean room »

The room was quite large and contained a king sized bed. The bath was also quite large , modern and clean. Check-in was fast and friendly and the full breakfast was everything that I could want. The cost was what I would call average, certainly not cheap.

    4
    « Busy hotel »

Typical best Western accommodations with all of the standard amenities. We arrived late afternoon and were not able to get a standard room. Got upgraded to suite for minor cost. Decor was a little dated and had peculiar linoleum floor?? Breakfast buffet was a bit of a zoo but expected given how many rooms they have. A little noisy at times.

    5
    « Wonderful Hotel »

My wife and I spent a night in Edmunston and were very pleased to have found this hotel. We booked the hotel though CAA and, while there was a minor issue with check-in, the front desk staff was able to clear it up fairly quickly. The room was clean and spacious and the noise level was minimal. The complimentary breakfast was good (basic, with a fair selection) and our overall experience was quite pleasurable. We will be certain to return to this hotel when we are in Edmunston again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

    « Pleasant surprise »

Travelling enroute from PEI to Montreal and needed a place to stay. We have stayed at another facility in Edmonton in the past but were not entirely satisfied so tried this hotel. We had a king room on the 4th floor. While the hotel is 9 years old the 3 and 4 th apparently are recently renovated. Wow! I cannot vouch for rooms on the lower floors but our room was exceptional. I have seldom stayed in such a nice, modern room in a chain hotel before. As well a free breakfast was included and this was not the case in the Sheraton. Would not hesitate in coming back here again.

    « one night stay »

3 people, one room, one queen bed, one double. Well equipped room, excellent beds, linen clean and lots of extra blankets provided. In room wifi, modern television with good channel selection but no Fox News. That's a negative

    4
« Great staff, squeaky clean rooms, good facilities but tacky decor. »

All in all, a positive hotel experience. Unfortunately, the overall decor of the place looks like an enthusiastic amateuri 'designed' the interior. Lots of needlessly elaborate imitation wood carving, etc., especially in the lobby. The Bauhaus it ain't! Nice pool and very nice, accommodating front desk folks though. Handy location too.

    « The Gaspe Swing »

Our last night of our holidays, what a great room to finish of a great trip. Beautifully decorated, clean, amenities +++. Bed was comfortable booking in was easy. Best Western has a lot of feature any family would appreciate. We were within walking distance of a small mall so was able to get a bit of exercise after a long drive from Cavendish beach.

    « Better than expected »

We stayed at the hotel just below them last year on our way to and from Toronto. It was awful and said this year we would pay the extra and do the Best Western. Smart move I must say. Check in was pretty much instant, wi-fi was great, pool was great (slides for the kiddies), rooms were comfy and everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found a bar on site, slightly hidden if you weren't looking. Staff were great and introduced me to my new favourite drink:-) This is usually our 1/2 way point during our long driving trips. We will definitely stay here again!! Located right off the highway and several restaurants within a km.

    « Crime Stoppers conference »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had some printing to do at 10:30 at night, that I needed for the next morning's meeting. I went to the lobby to use the computer and printer for guests and a staff member came over to offer assistance and brought me a 3 hole punch and a stapler to use. Frank's Bar and Grill had excellent food. I especially enjoyed the crab stuffed filet of sole with bacon wrapped scallops and rice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating there as well.

    5
« Well done as always »

Stayed twice in one week, up and back from Ontario. As usual the ground floor room was clean and spacious. Even I could manage the thermostat. Reasonably quiet, restful stay. The only down side is they have stopped including bacon with the breakfast... oh woe, the agony LOL.

« Great one night stop on the way to the east cost »

Very good location, with plenty of parking all around. Large reception area which overlook so he breakfast area. There were two bus loads of travellers but we still found room for breakfast. Large spacious rooms with sliding patio doors and an air conditioning which worked well. Lots of room in the bathroom with a convient counter area outside the bathroom.

« Just average, but very friendly staff »

My partner and I stay in Edmundston every year on our way out east, and this was our first stay the Best Western Plus. We normally stay at the Days Inn, as it is usually half the price, but for whatever reason when I went to book with them 9 months before our trip as usual, there rates were the same as the Best Western, so we decided to go with somewhere new. This being said, the Best Western was very similar to the Days Inn. It was not at the same level as other Best Western Plus's that I have stayed at in the past. The staff were very friendly upon check-in and our requests were accommodated (upper floor, facing away from the highway). The room was clean, but the floor was a strange laminate material that had seen better days. We appreciated having a tiny fridge, Keurig and microwave, and we used all three. The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed, but it was fine for a night. When we woke up the next morning we got ready and headed down for breakfast extra early since we read the reviews about breakfast being packed. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast. The cereal was a nice addition, as was the waffle maker. The food over all was fine, but again, nothing great. Check-out was simple and we were on the road before 7:30am. Overall, this is a fine hotel to stay at, and if the Days Inn continues to be the same price, we will stay here again. However, this hotel was not worth 140$ a night.

    5
    « Good Experience »

Would recommend this location. Very pet friendly! Easy to find, close to main thoroughfare. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely rebook next year on our annual eastern Canada road trip! 200 Characters is a lot of characters.

    « Fine (for a night) »

Located right off the highway, but Edmundston does not offer much to do. Check in / out: friendly bilingual staff. Pricier than expected/average. Tip: book online to get lowest price (hotel does not price match by phone or in person). Free Parking: be careful when parking at the front of the hotel (drop-off/rock wall). Spots on main level by patio doors are reserved for ground level rooms. Plenty of rear parking, but more lighting is needed. Spacious reception/lobby area and hallways. Rooms: Average size with roomy, clean bathrooms. Quaintly styled with 2 queen beds that are comfortable, but have movement transfer issues because they are not on platforms but frames. Trouble getting the AC to work properly (possibly related to patio doors it's linked to prevent from running if not shut tightly). Second sliding door separating sleeping area and foyer/bathroom helped contain room/hallway noises. We were on second floor and could faintly hear walking above us and flushing/showers of adjacent room. There is a mini-fridge (no freezer), microwave, and Keurig by the room doorway/in foyer. Free WiFi. Enjoy a self-serve breakfast, including eggs, (yummy) maple baked beans, biscuits, and mini sausage as well as breads, yoghurt and fruit (oranges, apples etc), coffee/tea & juices. Breakfast area/country kitchen is quite cramped (and difficult to maneuver in). Extra banquet tables were set up in reception area to offer overflow seating. No restaurant on site or within walking distance, but there is a newly renovated modern bar for drinks (no food/snacks). A few minutes drive to main street or one exit away from box stores/shopping. Pool is quite small and has an enclosed twisty slide (not suitable for adults). Six person hot tub. Pool area is viewable from inside and outside hotel. Well equipped exercise room available.

« Great Hotel for Pet Lover »

These folks definitely understand the pet-loving traveller. I loved the ground floor room, with a sliding door to outside. A good size room too, with a frig and microwave. Will definitely be our stop when heading down east again.

    « Quick stay »

As per my usual, a quick stay for work on short notice. Speedy check in, great rooms. Loved the blankets on the bed, enough weight to them to make for a great nights sleep. Hotel was a great location, very quiet and a the entry way was a very pleasing design.

« Sixth stay at this hotel! »

This will always be my hotel of choice in Edmundston, while on trips to the east coast. Welcoming front desk staff, large clean rooms, comfortable beds/pillow, roomy bathrooms, lots of towels, fridge, microwave. The hotel is close to the highway with gas and food nearby, just south of the highway. There are also many delivery options. It's located in a quiet part of town, and you cannot hear highway noise from the hotel. The hotel is well decorated, and front-desk staff are polite and helpful. There are many hot and cold breakfast options, and while the breakfast room can be a busy area, additional tables and chairs are setup just outside the room when there are many guests. Wifi was slow at times. We opted for the convenience of a main floor room, however, the hotel is noisy (in terms of guests on the floor above).

« Halifax Student Trip stop over »

Half way point from Ontario to Halifax. Rooms were very large and spacious - floors are not carpeted and could be a little loud. Bathroom was bright and clean -showers had lots of hot water and pressure. Breakfast was adequate but the breakfast area is way too small for the size of the hotel. Too crowded for us to sit and eat breakfast - skipped it the second day and had breakfast at McD's. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Parking was tight but adequate.

    4
« Awesome Hotel and Great Location »

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions as we shuttle our daughter back and forth to university. It's location is great. Just off the highway and the mid-point of our trip. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. A big thank you to Jose in the lounge for taking good care of us. There is a free breakfast with the room, but personally I don't find it very good. This is really the only downside of the hotel, everything else is great!

    4
    « Pet Friendly »

This is a well run hotel. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything you need. The room was clean and had a sliding door to our parking spot- very handy with the dog. Breakfast was crowded so we grabbed food and went back to the room. Good place to stop on your way east.

    4
« Efficient and nice hotel on the highway »

The hotel offers relatively modern rooms and a few restaurants are a short drive away, one can possibly also walk if you want to enjoy a few drinks. While the hotel offers no restaurant, they have a bar open in the evening!

« The PLUS in the name is perfect! »

Our stay was great. Very clean rooms - we especially loved the floor! Sounds weird but...it initially looked like carpet until we took our shoes off and found it was like a laminate - very washable. This gave us a great feeling that it was clean! The pool had a slide and was fun. Breakfast was a hot buffet and included in the price. The service was wonderful. Wi-fi was free and fast! It was relatively close to the highway.

    5
« Great place to stay in Edmunston »

Found this gem of a hotel unexpectedly. Had driven by many times before but this time decided to stop and stay in Edmundston. This hotel will definitely be a stop in the future - great service, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere overall

    5
    « Unfair charges »

Hotel is great but if you are Canadian who booked a reservation through the Internet and were quoted a room rate in $C, be warned that you will probably be charged by Best Western in $US. Book directly with a Canadian hotel and DO NOT USE THE INTERNET RESERVATION SYSTEM if you are a CANADIAN!

    4
« Great location and wonderful property »

Reservation booked thru Expedia. Hotel location is just off the Trans Canada, which is excellent for travellers. Arrived late and ease of check-in. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Wi-fi and breakfast included in price. Very clean property. Wonderful wood and iron staircase leading to 2nd floor. Indoor pool facilities, small gym, and lounge on site. Lounge also has outdoor seating which was perfect to unwind and enjoy the summer evening weather, Decor was comfortable and inviting, rooms on main floor have access to parking lot, also small bistro table and chairs outside of sliding glass doors which is a nice touch, Hotel amenities...something for everyone. Only downside is the layout of breakfast buffet and size of entrance and room. Found room congested during peak time from 7:30-8:00 am, and travellers bumping into each other trying to grap a coffee to go, or filling plates with breakfast items. A re-design in order to improve traffic flow and food selections would be helpful. Highly recommend this hotel on your next visit to the Edmunston area.

« Pleasant one night stay »

Only stayed one night, so cannot comment too much on the merits of a longer stay. Very friendly and helpful staff on a very busy day. I sis not use the pool but the many people in there seemed to be having a great time. Most importantly for me, the location was great, the room comfortable, and the breakfast fast and quite adequate for the day of driving ahead of me.

« New but needs interior design work »

A good. clean hotel in excellent location in Edmundston fringe just off freeway. Idea for family though we were a couple. Breakfast is basic, serve yourself but they do offer hot items. The parking lot is on an embankment - and dangerous.

« Great location. Very clean. Fun chateau decor. »

Stayed for one night on September 5. Travelling through NB to Montreal. Very clean, modern hotel with a quasi chateau feel. Nice bar on second floor. Special spaces right in front of the lobby to park your motorcycle! Stayed in room 302. First bed not that comfortable. Bed closer to the window was fine. Shower curtain could have used a refresh. Standard issue free breakfast: muffins, eggs, bad coffee, etc. The dining room extends into the lobby for breakfast which is nice, but the serving area bottlenecks as you enter - not good. Very friendly, helpful staff. Try the Casino around the corner for dinner.

« Very Impressive! Stop Looking. Stay Here. »

You know what, for a Best Western, this is at the top of the scale. I think I have stayed at every hotel chain imaginable, many times, including Best Western, and this was one of the best. We were looking for a nice, clean place to relax after a long drive from Toronto. I have stayed in just about all the hotels in Edmundston, but this took the cake. Each time we went to book, another hotel was $10 more, and the next hotel was $5 more, and so on. So, we landed on this one at about $140. Last hotel after a 2 month holiday, and could not have been a finer pick. Check-in was smooth, quick, and very friendly and helpful. Thank you ladies. Very large and spacious room with drive up to the glass doors. King bed. Good cable. Wifi. Fitness Room and pool. ANd I just loved the Victorian Style décor. It had a palace feel when you walked around the lobby. Very nice. Large washroom, detached from the bedroom. Fridge. Keurig coffee. Just all around a nice place. There was just nothing negative to say about the staff, service, and accommodations. Will be staying here again (next time arriving a little earlier to enjoy a little more of the amenities). If you are travelers on a budget and do not need to be tended on hand and foot and look for clean and tasteful accommodations, not five star, but trying to be, then this is place. Highly recommend. Will be back!

« nice hotel, awful breakfast »

good location, nice hotel, spacious rooms, quiet; the breakfast area is much too small and horribly laid out. They put the food and trash at the entrance where the room is the narrowest. You have people squeezing in, try to get food and many try to get out. It is so obvious, you wonder that nobody ever thought of changing this. The breakfast food is pretty basic and far below other BW Plus.

This was an easy to locate and get to location while traveling. Great parking lot, well lit, easy front entrance, disabled parking (although full) and inexpensive. We literally got the last room on our first night traveling. The couple behind us, offered to rent a bed from us. Rooms were hard to come by in the area that evening. The staff at the front desk were amazingly friendly. The room was a King with a cot added (there were three adults and we had to share due to there being no more rooms). The bed was so fantastic, our sleep was so good, we went online and booked a Best Western in Ottawa based on the accommodations here. The pool and hot tub area was full of kids and was not available for us to use, just to relax. Rooms were clean and sound proof. The cot was not adult sleeping friendly. (Glad I didn't get it!). Breakfast was surprisingly good. Only negative was the entrance to the breakfast room was the same spot you picked up your tray on one side and got your coffee or tossed your garbage on the other side. So, bottle necked a lot. Tossing the garbage out. under the coffee station was problematic also. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked a night on the way back on our trip.

« Clean, roomy, but breakfast area is just too tight. »

We had the most spacious room ever. The bed is very comfortable which is super good after a long driving from Toronto. But the pool area is crowded, so is the breakfast area. The ladies worked in breakfast area tried to do their best, but the space is just too tight to accommodate the people living in such a big hotel. The management team should think to enlarge it to match the need for a big hotel.

    « Good hotel »

We booked one night at this hotel and arrived late on our arrival at around 10pm. The check in gentleman is very friendly and polite. We asked for a connecting room but hotel gave us 2 rooms side by side which is great. Rooms are clean and bed are comfy, we have a very good sleep after our long drive of the day. Everyone sleep like a log. Morning breakfast is good but not much varieties to choose from. Check out is quick and you will see smiling faces all around. Our impression of this hotel is good!

    « A Great Canadian Hotel »

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here because I've had such challenging stays at other places. Once I arrived, I was greeted by the concierge, given a few instructions and then off to my room. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The room was decent-sized - I had a room with two-beds as it was the only one left and so ample space indeed. There was a microwave (with free popcorn), a fridge and coffee-maker. It may not be in everyone's price range and I, too, am a savvy consumer but this hotel is worth the money spent. The decor is relatively modern and truthfully,I will always prefer kind and respectful staff than expensive-looking furnishings and designs. The room was spacious, clean and everything worked - that's a plus. The place was busy the night I stayed and rightfully so because it is quite the establishment - there is a place for all Canadians and travelers from abroad in this hotel - and you sense that all were enjoying their stay - even the guests were greeting each other in the hallways and elevators. No doubt this place comes highly recommended - in fact, I will be staying there this weekend and probably one more time before month's end. Great Job BWP Edmundston!

    « Nice clean place »

I have stayed here several times. I have never had a bad experience. Very clean. Only wish there was a restaurant inside but at least lots of restaurants near by They are pet friendly too The young children certainly seemed to enjoy the pool

    « Always a pleasure.... »

We returned to stay at this hotel. It has a convenient location. It is close to the highway but still quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is wonderful. The front desk employee was a young gentleman who was courteous and helpful. The pool was too busy to enjoy but looked very nice.

« Still love this Best western the most! »

We stayed at this hotel again this year in July, on the 8th and on the 23rd. I wish all hotels smelled this clean . No carpets as I have mentioned before makes a big difference with dust allergies . Being on oxygen, hotels are not my friend, so to speak because of air quality in rooms , I love this hotel, and wish all hotels were carpet free and had windows that opened for better air.

« *The* Place to Stay in Edmundston »

Wow. A modern highway hotel! On our annual trips from Ottawa to the Maritimes we are accustomed to staying at the standard highway motel, the one with the tiny rooms, soft bed, tiny bathroom, tired decor and noisy AC. Not so at the Best Western in Edmundston! The rooms are large, with terrific beds, a huge shower stall, a great large-screen TV and excellent soundproofing. What a great hotel! I wish all highway hotels/motels could be like this!

« Very Clean and Bright! »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Edmundston in August 2016. The hotel is ideally located just off the highway and within a short drive to local eating establishments. The hotel is very clean throughout and provides many onsite amenities such as indoor pool with waterslide and a great hotel lounge/bar. The staff were very pleasant and professional (and spoke both English and French without any problem). The hotel offers a breakfast program which was very good. Many of the outer ground floor rooms offer direct access (a door) to the parking lot (much like a motel). I had a upper floor room. The room was clean and the furniture was in great shape without any noticeable issue. I found two "qwerks": 1) the rooms do not have carpet but a sort of linoleum flooring. 2) the shower head (or water pressure in general) provide low water flow. Both of these concerns were minor as overall I had a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable and clean; the room's climate control was adjustable to the guest. I would most certainly return to this hotel.

« A wonderful family type of hotel »

Just stayed one night, but the place was amazing! Wonderful clean rooms. Decent breakfast, although the way the room is set up, it creates a bottleneck. Really nice feel to the entire place. Pool area was perfect for families. Location is good.

    « so relaxing »

Very nice hotel and modern. My wife and I were very pleased with this hotel. I felt that everything was upgraded the minute we walked in. It was by far the best Best Western I have stayed in. The staff were very helpful. They could not improve this hotel.

« Best motel in town! »

I really thing for the price, all the amenities for a family and the nice rooms that is the best hotel in town. You need a place to stay in Edmundston, there's the place. Also, they give a really great service.

    « Awesome »

We stayed at the hotel for a night on our way back from the east coast to Toronto. The staff was very friendly and the kids loved the pool and water slide. We arrived very early in the morning and they gave us a room without any issues and without an extra charge. We would return to this hotel again and would totally recommend it to anyone requiring to stay overnight in a hotel in the area.

« Not impressed by breakfast line-up chaos in a very small area »

Boasts all you'd expect in BW amenities with pool, fitness room, and comfy beds, but management shortchanged on the breakfast room area. Have stayed a few times because of its convenience as a travel point stop, but will be considering other lodging in future. As a diabetic, breakfast is an important meal, and though the food choices are acceptable, the volleying for a place to sit and eat it are not. On a previous trip, we gave up trying and grabbed breakfast on the road, which was less than ideal. This last visit, we ended up sitting in two chairs available under the lobby stairway with a small round end table between us. One had to be careful in getting up, for fear of hitting your head. Even with overflow tables set-up in the lobby room, it was hard to watch individual parents leave kids unattended while geting them food in another space. When you compare the lobby size to the breakfast room size, they aim to impress on your arrival, but appear to care less about the area for your departure experience!

    3
    « Just okay »

The location is convenient and it's nice that the rooms don't have carpets, but nothing else is outstanding. Actually skipped the breakfast both mornings we stayed here. The breakfast area is also poorly designed and too small. The smell of chlorine from the pool is quite strong and you can smell it in other parts of the hotel. It would probably appeal more to families with small children. Also found it to be overpriced, but that's probably because it's a popular city to stop in over the summer.

    3
    « Not as expected »

A little disappointing. Too much lobby and not enough breakfast area or pool. Over priced for the lack of amenities around the area. While I like that rooms are not carpeted, it is quite noisy from rooms beside and above.

    5
« Finally a hotel that feels like home »

It's the little things that matter while traveling and this place has them all. A fan in the bathroom along with a shower head with powerful spray; even a heater in there too. Very comfortable beds, extremely quite rooms, 4 pillows on each bed, keurig machine, microwave and bar fridge (no freezer though). Free wifi but it's not a great signal, that's my only complaint.

    4
« Super clean and convenient location »

I have to say that I was a little confused by the eclectic decor mix throughout the hotel but what a pleasant surprise to see that the rooms have a more simple and modern look :) The double room we slept in was spacious, comfortable and very, very, very clean. We had a drink at the bar before dinner and the staff was friendly and passionate about recommending local beers. Breakfast could definitely be improved, the service area is very cramped and the products offered are so so. We felt the need to grab a "real" coffee and a muffin at Presse Café afterwards. There isn't a lot of dinner options in Edmundston, apart from the usual American chain restaurants. If you are a foodie, do some research first!

    3
« Will try somewhere else next time »

First the pros: good location right off the highway, clean, pleasant staff, like the lack of carpets Sadly a number of issues: beds hard and uncomfortable, poor climate control in room, the pool is more like a puddle to have a kids water slide land in than an actual pool (disappointing), breakfast mediocre We will try a different place next time.

    4
« Clean, convenient and good value »

This was our first time staying at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The room we booked had two queen beds, was very large with plenty of space, well equipped with a fridge, coffee maker and small microwave. I especially liked that the floor was not carpeted and was very clean. The location of the hotel is very convenient from the Trans Canada, and to restaurants. The breakfast, which is included in the rate, had several options and coffee and tea was available at all times. It was also nice to have a small bar in the hotel that is open most nights until 11pm. Overall it was one of the best choices in Edmundston.

    4
« Very nice, but request the top floor »

Great hotel for staying along the way, and staff are awesome. The only issue we have encountered on a recurring basis is noise transfer from rooms above. The floors have some sort of hard covering (linoleum or similar) rather than carpet. While that's great for cleanliness and allergies, it also transfers much more noise from the room above as people walk across the floor, etc. During our most recent visit, it sounded as though there was a family with young children above us; hard to tell. In any case, we were trying to get to sleep on the early side, but the pounding continued until at least 11:30pm. So ask for a room on the top floor, and you shouldn't have that issue. We've stayed here a few times, but always end up leaving in the morning before breakfast is served, so I can't comment on that.

    4
    « Great »

Great stop between Halifax and Toronto. Staff were nice, pool area was great. Rooms were excellent. Spacious and very clean. There is a nice bar on the second floor that serves beers from the local craft brewery. Lobby area is very nice but I have to agree with another reviewer - the breakfast area is very cramped. Food is good but space is too limited. Despite that, we'd definitely stay here again. Ample parking, even for RVs and trailers.

    « A pit stop in a strip mall »

This is a very cheaply built hotel made to look very nice. Just pray you don`t have folks on the floor above you waking up early, because you will hear everything. The free breakfast is embarrassing. The server (singular) is grumpy because the breakfast area is like a hallway. Your choices for nearby restaurants in this far-from-charming pulp-mill town include any fast food you might find next to any highway gas station anywhere in north america.... and nothing else. I have been here twice and BOTH times the thermostat did not work, leaving half of my night in extreme heat, and the other half freezing cold. This hotel is a terrible place to stay...... because this WHOLE TOWN is a terrible place to stay. Do not be fooled by the appearance of culture in the form of old buildings as you drive through. THIS Best Western, and the town of Edmundston itself, are worth driving right on by. ....The waterslide and pool area are not worth the stop. Having found all of the charm of camping in a Walmart parking lot, I will not be staying anywhere near Edmundston EVER again. THIS Best Western is not worth even HALF of what they charge for their rooms... mostly because of their cheaply built hotel and their location in fast food hell. THIS best western SUCKS... and so does the location they built it on.... Very sorry I paid to stay there. Never again.

« Only one stay but great spot! »

This was a one night stop over on our trip and what a great choice. Friendly staff, clean room and wonderful choice for the included breakfast. The indoor pool and hot tub were very popular with the kids as the pool had a neat slide. If we were coming through here again, or staying in the area, this would be our choice!

    4
« Great location and fun pool area »

What a great location just off the highway but feels like a world away. Very private setting with great views of Edmunston. Fun pool area for kids and adults with a slide and hot-tub. Eclectic decor mix throughout the hotel. Looking forward to breakfast!

    4
« Great room but lacking space in breakfast facility »

Friendly staff, but hard to find a parking spot! Looked like a great pool area that families were enjoying, and a fitness area on 2nd floor, but never used either. Enjoyed the comfortable queen beds and pillows in a spacious room with lots of storage options and cool working A/C unit. The late-night sound of footsteps on the floor above us would not have been appreciated by light sleepers. Loved the wall-mounted TV, fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, and table with 2 chairs for our order-in meal from a restaurant nearby. Have stayed here before, but the same problem still exists...an overcrowded and poorly arranged breakfast area. Plastic cutlery hidden behind a glass pitcher of milk that had to be moved to access them with narrow entranceway that hindered movement in and out. We ended up in the lobby overflow space sitting in 2 chairs under a stairway overhang to eat our food, but it was better for us as seniors than for the parents trying to feed their young children at a nearby table set up in the lobby and running back and forth to the food room. Hotel needs to rethink breakfast space versus lobby space as guest impression will not be favourable on the comparisons! I know we'll rethink staying here again.

    « Excellent hotel!! »

This was our 2nd stop on a 13 day road trip across Canada to the arctic. We are driving with a large dog so finding pet friendly accommodations has been difficult. This hotel was very accommodating to our dog and perfect for us. Offering a VERY clean, very modern room with a nice patio door to the back area so we could take the dog in/out easily. I was very impressed with our stay and can only hope the rest of our hotels come close to this one!

    5
« This place is awesome... »

Edmunston has always been a stop on our road trips and this Bestwestern has hosted us a few times :) This time we had room 419, it is newly renovated and quite extraordinary...the bathroom was clean and the shower excellent. The show stealer is their mattress selection...best sleep ever....I meant to take a picture of the manufacturer of the mattress. I slept too late to partake in the breakfast so I can't comment on that...easy check in and out...will definitely repeat... P.S. The hotel is close to everything...food, fuel, and even the Hospital :)

« Damnnnnnnnnn the suite is nice!!! »

I felt like a Rock star :-) , room was amazing, view was nice, very modern, loads of room. Everything was renovated, looked brand new. Lots of food options around the area and the swimming pool has a three tier slide :-)

    « Nice!! »

Before we were travelling to our next stop, Quebec City, we stayed one night in Edmunston. Arrived we had a warm welcome as the building itself is really beautiful, both the interior and exterior. The staff was friendly, the hotel clean everything was allright! The room had everything what we wanted: fridge, microwave, good shower etc. The laundry was also not that far away from our room! Breakfast was crowdy but still we enjoyed! IN SHORT + Mom said: most of the hotels offer really thick blankets, nevertheless this hotel had already thin blankets on the beds as it's summer + Healthy (lots of fruit) and good breakfast! + Fitness room and swimming pool + Clean + Nice staff + Plenty of parking places + Good fan in the bathroom - there was one channel on tv that didn't work properly, maybe it has to do with the satellite.

    4
    « Great, Clean rooms »

We have stayed in a few Best Western Hotels but with all of them, we only stayed for one night. This particular hotel was great and had extremely clean rooms. The view from each room was delightful. Loved that the hotel wasn't very busy and definitely a great place to stay for families.

    4
    « Good stay but.......... »

This hotel has easy access form the Trans Canada Highway. Our room was very clean with a comfortable queen size bed and A/C that worked well in the 30C temps. Front staff handled the rush of clients with ease and the breakfast staff maintained a clean and well stocked dining area. On site bar is a nice touch. Only negative was the elevator broke down, as a result we had to carry luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. Talking to another person that stays there often, it seems to be a regular occurrence. Manager wouldn't even comp us a drink in the bar for this inconvenience.

    5
    « Great, reliable hotel »

Super clean rooms, very accessible from highway, near restaurants on the other side of the highway, helpful & friendly staff. The pool is a big plus if you're travelling with kids, as we were - hot tub, waterslide, nifty mushroom-shaped shower/waterfall.

« Wonderful and extremely clean »

The hotel is very clean. The beds were very comfortable. It rates lime a 5 star hotel. Employees were helpful and friendly, we highly recommend this hotel. A clean place to stay is ultra important and I was not disappointed. Great breakfast also.

« Best Best Western Yet »

Have stayed at many different Best Westerns and love them all. However, Edmundson is in a class all of its own. Lovely setting on the hill and decorated quite elegantly. Rooms large and very comfortable. Decor clean and modern. Service fabulous as always.

    5
« Beauitful Hotel and Friendly Staff »

The hotel was very lovely and the lobby had antique furniture and decor which I loved. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Our room was very clean and cozy. The location was perfect, it was walking distance to restaurants and right next to the trans canada highway. We had a great time here!

    5
« Excellent Hotel and Staff »

High quality Hotel. Fast Internet. Staff professionally dressed and very helpful. Would stay here again. Highly recommend. This was the best hotel on our 11 day trip to PEI. The quality of furnishings and building of hotel was excellent. Internet was fast for business use.

    4
« Nice place to stay!! »

Clean rooms, nice staff. Very helpful. Good location, this hotel had been recommended to us and I'm glad we went there, it was a long trip and was very nice to go and relax in a clean room. The Boston Pizza nearby was actually pretty good for a Boston Pizza, if you like that sort of restaurant.

    5
« Great value for Northern NB Hotel »

I chose this hotel because it is easy to get into and out of via the trans canada highway. I was doing business in the area and it seemed a great value for the area. I would consider this hotel for a family stay as well as it seemed to have a nice pool area and gym

    4
    « Busy hotel »

Good hotel .Stayed here twice. First time elevator broken so we got a room on the ground floor with access to your car.Asked for the same on our return visit.Swimming pool and hot tub. Great for kids gets very busy in the evening we swam mid afternoon .Good breakfast . Friendly staff.

« Trip to East Coast »

While travelling to the east coast to visit our grandchildren we spent one night at the Best Western Plus Edmundston Hotel. It was a nice property in a good location and easy to find. Our room had two queen beds, which were very comfortable, and was clean. Nice feature to offer a microwave for popcorn, coffee and tea and a small refrigerator. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was small and the hotel was very busy but they put extra tables in the front lobby to help with the demand. Typical breakfast but okay, did not leave hungry. They have a nice cozy bar upstairs. The pool looked nice with the slide and an area for small children. The children we talked to had lots of fun and so did the parents. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

    5
    « Wow! »

All I can say is WOW! This is one of the nicest BWP we have encountered on our travels. First impression was a very European vibe. It has a gorgeous lobby with a grand staircase, and fireplace. Rooms on the first floor have access from the interior hallway, or to outside through sliding doors. Very well layed out parking lot, as well. In addition to great quality, and clean rooms, there is a bar area located above the entrance. Was only open until 11, but gave us a half hour to unwind while the kids ate the complimentary popcorn in the room. First impression of the pool area was a great one, but it was packed...as expected with a slide, a hot tub and kiddie area. My only complaint was that while all these things are amazing, the actual pool itself is far too small, and really nothing more than a catch basin for the slide. While my 8-yr old couldn't get enough of the slide, my 12-yr old and husband enjoying swimming, so this wasn't for them. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling with kids.

    4
« Right off the hiway - fast on/off acces »

The bottom floor has drive up rooms In this hotel all the rooms have vinyl flooring, no carpets. A positive for those with alergys. One negative about the hotel is heavy chlorine smell from the pool that permeates the lobby and the breakfast area. The breakfast is a pretty standard hotel inclusive breakfast.

  • 3
« First bad experience here... »

We have stayed at this location on multiple occasions and this is the first time we have had a somewhat bad experience. The staff at the front counter was rude during check-in. The breakfast was in total disarray. Garbage's were full, they were out of some items, just an overall unfulfilling breakfast experience. I understand it was fairly busy, but the staff appeared to be doing nothing to keep up with things.

    « east coast trip »

Stay was much better then the first time staying there 7 yrs before. Rooms have No carpeting which is good for people with allergies. Very clean. Morning staff very helpful help us get our coffee and tea for the road.Would stay again.

    3
« Everything was fine, just pricey »

Like the title said everything was fine but at over $200 it was expensive. Room was clean and everything worked. We were on the 4th floor which was a little inconvenient since we had a dog and there was no ice machine on our floor. Breakfast was good, more than your standard continental breakfast.

    4
« Road trip into Edmunston »

This Hotel located just off the Highway in strange way is a delicious gem. The actual building is on a hill/peak and is impressive at first view. The friendly staff enhances the City's overall small town charm. The rooms are clean and parking not an issue. We stayed in a first floor suite and met guest from all over with out being intrusive. The washroom are big spacious for family's .

    5
    « Another great stay »

Book in advance as this place fills up and gets quite expensive. The beds are very comfy, there's a fun pool/hot tub, it's close to the highway, it's close to restaurants... What more could you want in a stop over hotel?!?

    4
    « NL Traveller »

We stayed at the Best Western by accident. I booked online months in advance of a vacation trip and thought I booked at the Comfort Inn (where I had stayed on a previous trip) The staff were very friendly. I was quite surprised that our room did not have any carpeting and not sure if it was because we travelled with pets. I found the floors a little cold. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing I wish was different was the pool. This facility had a pool that is too small for the size of facility. The time that the pool is open is unfair to adults with no children. The pool is small and the hot tub was full of children. I paid for a facility that had this feature and I couldn't use it.

    5
« Perfect stop on the way to and from the East Coast »

We stayed here on our way to the East Coast and again on our way home. Everything was perfect. It is just off the highway close to all conveniences. The room was renovated, spacious and very clean. The lobby and amenities at the hotel were modern and clean. The included breakfast offered hot eggs, meat, waffles, cold cereal, juice, coffee, tea...... everything you would want. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on our way to and from the East Coast.

    5
« Best Hotel in Edmondston »

Great place to stay, $200/night. There's a small pool with a cute little water slide which is pretty sketchy, and a hot tub. The downside is it makes they halls all smell like chlorine but the rooms smell fine. There is also a gym and free breakfast, and a nice view of Edmondston if you're on the front side on the building. Overall the best you're going to get in Edmondston.

    2
« Noisy and paper thin walls! »

Stayed on 2nd floor...not by choice. The people above me must have had boots on...they never stopped banging around the floor. Then there is the paper thin walls issue. And the noise in the hallway. If you need rest for driving, this is not the place to go.

    3
    « A Fine Stopover »

We booked this hotel as an intermediary stop between Toronto and PEI. All we needed was a place to lay our heads and for the kids to have fun in the pool. The young lady at check-in was very blasé. Did her job checking us in, but was far from warm and inviting. She did not ask me how I was or where I was coming from. She barely acknowledged me when I asked questions about the hotel. The room was completely adequate, but we were disappointed in the channel selection on the TV. There wasn't one channel devoted to children under 6. The hotel pool was extremely small and so full of chlorine that my eyes watered just sitting and watching my children. The water slide was super fun for the kids, when it was working. When it stopped working, the front staff gave us a recycling bucket to fill up with water and woosh it down the slide before attempting to head down. The morning breakfast was also adequate, but awkward. The set-up was not conducive to a smooth gathering of food. Total gridlock at the beginning of the line where the coffee and cereal were kept. Just one week later, when we tried to book a room for our return trip, we were asked to call back five minutes later as the receptionist was busy helping another customer. When we called back, no one answered. So, we ended up booking elsewhere. More attention to detail is needed at this hotel.

    « Nice little Hotel »

Making the trek from S/E Ontario to Moncton. This is a great place to stop along the way and recharge. This was our first stay here and we were pleased. It close to the highway, and reasonable priced.

    « The BEST »

Our stay was a little different than usual. Last time we stayed here, the room was less than acceptable. We filled out a comment card and to our surprise, the manager contacted us and offered us 50% off our next stay. When I called to book, I was again surprised that the discount was going to be offered. Afterall, that particular stay was in 2011, 5 years ago. I was floored. The manager took our reservations and the room we received was beyond all expectations. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will always stay at the BW hotel whenever we are travelling through Edmundston. Might not be for another 5 years, but for sure we'll be there. Thank you again for such wonderful service and consideration. It is appreciated more than you'll ever know.

    « Traveling through... »

Very convenient stopover heading out to PEI for a holiday. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Friendly service, and very clean. Busy spot for breakfast but hotel set-up extra tables which was helpful. Plan to return on the trip back and again next year.

    « Satisfied »

Very good hotel, but the pool is tiny. It's really just water for the slide. This is unfortunate and misleading. Hotel should specify. Breakfast is decent. It's the best hotel in the area, and the location is just off the highway.

    3
« A little nicer than surrounding hotels, with a higher price tag »

This is a very nice hotel, a large building, with tile floors in the room, which I like very much. It sits on a hill overlooking the city, and is near the highway. There is a lounge on the second floor but there is no ramp to the lounge....several stairs. The rooms are spacious and there was the first walk in shower we have had in seven nights (excepting the ferry) but no shower chair, which made me take off a star. However, I took a chair from the pool (which was very busy) and it will serve, as the front desk was unable to come up with one. It is a little more expensive than the Comfort Inn, but the ambiance is up market. Free parking, an elevator, and free wifi.

« Great spot to stop to rest while travelling. »

I love stopping here in my travels for many reasons... Close proximity to the highway (not so close that you can hear the highway tho), pet friendly, quiet, very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds, pool, lots of parking, interesting lobby and they send you off with a great little breakfast. I tend to travel solo when I stay here and I've always felt safe. Lots of lighting in the parking lot is very much appreciated. Bonus!! Free microwave popcorn in your room for a snack!

    « Won't be staying again... »

Hiring of staff that change bed sheets. When going to bed my family and I found a pair of men's underwear in our bed. Addressed it with management and they changed the sheets and gave me 50 % off my room but it still does not satisfy me. This is unacceptable, and should have been given way more in compensation....men's underwear in my kids bed. Obviously beds were not made, and room not taken care of properly. Excuse was that they hired new people for the summer..not my problem. Will not be staying in a Best Western anytime soon....

    « Excellent sleep. »

Spent a night in the Edmunston Best Western recently in a floor level room on a road trip and was very happy. We parked right outside our room, we had a very comfortable bed I didn't want to get out of in the morning, a yummy hot breakfast in the morning before hitting the road again and friendly staff. The room came with a fridge and microwave which was really handy and although we didn't get a chance to try it, the spiral water slide looked amazing. Would stay there again and will recommend it to others.

    « Beautiful hotel...but! »

A one-night stay booked online well in advance of our trip. But arrived to have front desk having trouble finding our reservation. Finally, he found it because we had our printed confirmation with number as well as room rate. Honestly, with the uncertainty of the receptionist at front desk, we were not sure we were going to have a room or the confirmed rate. But hotel is beautiful, only a few years old, in a great location, not far from the centre of town. We would book here again...but please make sure when you leave home, you have your confirmation in hand. We noticed the people checking in next to usalso had the same problem.

« Nice place to stay with an awesome pool for kids »

Nice place to stay with family if you need to stop in Edmunston. My kids really enjoyed the pool. The room was nice and clean. A few drawbacks : we got stuck in the elevator for 5min going up to our room when we arrived which freaked out my wife and kids. Secondly, the food selection at breakfast was pretty poor.

« Excellent stop over point »

Even though I only stayed one night enroute to Sydney NS, the staff were all very polite and professional. The property was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was excellent. I have stopped at this property on a few trips to the Maritimes. I'm sure it will be part of any future itinerary, to or from the Maritimes.

Hotel itself nice, beds not most comfortable, Got playpen no problem for my youngest . Pool area is fantastic. Breakfast was ok , a lot ppl in one area to get r food. Good price, centrally located, near wal mart . We were en route to PEI from MTL. Would Go back

    « Pet friendly »

Thanks for a great night - we arrived during a thunderstorm and our dog was quite stressed. The room is clean and comfortable and as a dog owner I'm so impressed that there is no carpet! I'm sure it's easier to keep clean especially when you accept dogs coming in from the pouring rain!

« An excellent place to stop. »

We were travelling to Nova Scotia and needed a hotel to stay overnight in Edmunston. We found this hotel excellent. Very modern, clean and friendly staff. A great hot breakfast as well. Nice and quiet with no highway noise. Close to the trans-canada Hwy.

    5
    « A Nice Family stop »

Our stay at the Best Western was excellent. We arrived after a long drive and were met by a very friendly staff; check in was quick, check out was quicker and I was emailed my receipt. The room was spacious with two queen sized beds and was very clean. Everything was so nice we stayed there on our return trip.

    « Quietest Hotel Ever »

Value for money and the quietest room I have ever stayed in. Hotel was full and there was no noise from other rooms or the hallway, very well built building. Close to the highway and food and onsite bar are a plus.

« There is no reason not to stay at this hotel »

The location of this hotel is just off the highway thus very convenient for an overnight stop. It's also convenient is you need to visit the hospital which is just across the street. The grounds are very well kept and the area allows for a nice and relaxed walk in the early morning or evening which is great when you have a dog. Lots of free parking is available. Staff are extremely polite and welcoming, bilingual. My room was very spacious, clean and had everything I needed. The amenities, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shoe shine and shower cap were in the basket waiting to be used. The shower/bath had great water pressure! Lots of towels. There's a hair dryer readily available. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, lots of pillows to choose from - my sleep was solid for 7 hours, very unusual for me. It was quiet even though the hotel was quite full. My ground floor room was extremely convenient with my car just outside the sliding glass doors - love this. Breakfast is available from 6am and it is best to arrive early otherwise the selections become limited. Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, maple syrup, bagels, bread/toast, cereal, juice, muffins, coffee and tea. There is an indoor pool close to the check-in area but I have never gone in... usually filled with children but have not noticed any substantial increase in the noise level. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this property.

    « Great value »

This hotel should be rated as "PREMIUM". Large hardwood floored rooms with quality finishings. Lobby is almost spectacular for a small town hotel. Amenities are great and the breakfast area is spacious and comfortable. Price was surprisingly low given the quality of this hotel.

« Just a layover for one night but a great night! »

My wife and I stayed here twice but only one night at a time but what a great night we had. We arrived late in the evening and were awe struck when we first walked in to check in. The decor is amazing and it was wonderful to see all the various added personal touches throughout the hotel. "Antiques" and "art" all over the place! OK, I found the electric controls on the 'antique' wood stove so I wasn't fooled but still enjoyed the intent :) Incidentally, the trip home we stayed here again after the Liverpool, Nova Scotia Best Western (where we stayed for almost a week) desk helped make our return reservation - went off without a hitch and made our week long vacation even better, thanks everyone!

« good place to stay »

we stop in Edmundston each year as we travel to the east coast. The last 2 years we have stay at the Best Western and have found it to be everything we need. It is located right off the highway. We travel with a dog and the surroundings are great for taking her for a walk. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. They have a good breakfast. friendly personnel...

    5
« Very modern and clean. »

Modern, clean, quiet, and green-friendly. I have stayed over 1,000 nights in hotels due to a prior post that was 95% travel. This hotel is more like a 3.5 *, despite its curiously low 2.5 * rating. Perhaps it is because there is no restaurant (besides for the included breakfast).

    5
    « Beautiful place »

This Hotel is by far my favorite place to stay when traveling it has a wonderful cathedral entrance and is always very clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always do what ever they can to make sure your stay is comfortable. I look forward to my stay at the Best Western in Edmundston every time I go on the road for work. It really is a nice place to stay and has great prices as well.

« Excellent hotel in great location! »

This was a clean fairly new property. It's great that they accept pets. I like that they don't have carpet in the rooms. Breakfast was hot and had lots of choices, (eggs, saussages, breads and pastries, cereals and juice/coffee). Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows.

    4
« Good place to stay »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and look forward to staying here when traveling through northern New Brunswick. We have found the rooms to be consistently very clean, comfortable and offering all of the amenities we need. We particularly like the hard surface flooring not carpeting. The lobby is beautiful. The staff are generally friendly and accommodating although we did find the front desk clerk when we checked in this time to be rather "robotic" in his greeting - giving everyone the same monotone greeting and explanation of services. The morning clerk was much better. The hot breakfast was good although the scrambled eggs were rubbery and unappetizing to look at. We would recommend this hotel and would most likely stay here again.

    4
    « Beautiful Hotel »

The exterior of the hotel, lobby and bedrooms were beautiful. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Had a great assortment of breakfast items that all looked good except the eggs and sausage.

« OK Hotel, Very Bad Experience, Had Items Stolen »

The hotel was OK, our experience overall was very bad. We had some items taken while packing up early the morning we left. We were just 20' or so out of the front door. Someone took my daughters bag that had her laptop, iPad, and wallet with all her ID. In all the packing and it being a bit dark, we never discovered it was missing til after we had been driving a couple hours. The hotel offered little support. Her bag was dumped 2 hours in the other direction, a Good Samaritan found her bag with ID but no laptop or iPad. They quickly looked her up and called us. Thankfully this kind person mailed her the ID back so somewhat of a happy ending. I called and emailed the hotel asking for any video footage and other information that would lead to the recovery of the other items as the person who took it must have checked out right after us. They could have easily narrowed it down but I got no response. The hotel room itself was OK, a bit dated. The breakfast was enough to get you going but nothing special. If nothing had been stolen I would have given this hotel an average review. The fact I received no follow up to our loss is poor customer service so rated them "poor".

« Good choice for a road trip stop »

Edmunston is a good stopping point between the Maritime provinces and the rest of Canada. This hotel is right off a highway exit and close to several chain restaurants, shopping and a casino. We stayed here twice on a recent trip to and from Quebec. ROOMS: The rooms are large and clean and include a fridge and microwave (the free bag of microwave popcorn is a thoughtful touch). We didn't hear any hallway or outside noise but we did hear every step in the room above, so ask for the top floor if possible. The beds were reasonably comfortable but the bottom sheets on the king beds were not wide enough to tuck under the sides of the mattress, so they bunched up at night. They should definitely switch to fitted sheets. POOL: The pool was only open from 10 am to 10 pm, which is not much good for people who enjoy an early morning swim. It was also very small (about the size of 2-3 large hot tubs). Kids will probably like it since it has a waterslide but not much good for adults. BREAKFAST: Not great, but free. You'll find enough to eat but it won't be the highlight of your trip. As mentioned before, the layout of the breakfast room is bad. There seems to be adequate seating but even a couple of people can cause a bottleneck at the entrance. Perhaps they could move the coffee maker into the lobby where the computer is or better use the 3 feet of counter space that is solely dedicated to buttering toast (which customers could do at their table)

« First Choice in Edmundston »

Edmundston is a logical stopover when driving between Ottawa and Canada's East Coast. There are a number of hotel chains to choose from in Edmundston, The Best Western Plus is our number one choice for convenience and service, with clean, quiet rooms.

    5
    « AAGA Trip »

We arrived late at night in a thunderstorm without a prior booking and were treated like family. After a good nights sleep we grabbed a light breakfast and being fully rested continued with our journey to Oromocto NB.

    3
    « Disappointed »

Small town hotel but not up to standards of other Best Western Plus Hotels. Needs upgrading and some form of noise control in hallways and between floors. Not much to choose from in Edmundston but it served the purpose.

    4
« Best Western Plus Hotel Edmonton NB »

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions when traveling to Nova Scotia and have been satisfied every time. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the lack of a restaurant within walking distance.

« Great hotel & bar, bad breakfast »

The Best Western is a clean, well kept hotel with a good staff. I was able to check in last minute around midnight on a Friday. The bartender was funny and friendly and I had a great sleep. My only disappointment was the breakfast. If it wasn't free, I'd demand my money back. In fact, I'd rather pay an overpriced tab for a good breakfast than eat this free breakfast.

    5
    « Very comfortable stay »

We enjoyed our recent one night away for the grind. Room was excellent, had a screen door for fresh air. Great shower and hot water was consistent. They left a tub mat which I appreciates. Evertythig was very well maintained. Maryse in the Lounge was a wealth of information of things to do and very sociable. The Lounge has a great view of the City and outdoor seating as well. Can't wait to get away again.

    « Edmundston Best Western »

This is an excellent hotel, fairly new, very nice. Stayed there going to PEI and coming back. Staff was very informative & helpful. Very good value compared to other hotels we stayed in, actually the best. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Best Western Edmundston »

-very clean rooms -pool area is great for kids, has a big slide -hot tub for the parents -always fresh coffee and juice available all day and night -the hotel was beautiful on the inside with lots of really nice antiques -bed was super comfortable and the mattress was clean

« Good Value hotel stay »

Great stay - staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast is part of the "plus". Easy and quick access from highway though no highway noise. The pool looks very welcoming and am sure kids would have loads of fun.

« New, clean sparking hotel. »

We had stopped somewhere else on the way through town the first time, which was OK, but in the category of small chain hotels, this place was perfect. Newly built (7/15). clean, comfortable and quiet place. Some rooms with patio where you can bring your luggage through. Has an unusual (for BW) little bar with a surprising list of drinks.

    « Awesome »

This was the last stay on our road trip from Alberta to Nova Scotia. We were getting tired of driving and in great need of a relaxing night. Staff were great as we checked in with our pet. First impression of the hotel was fantastic. Very classy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone on their travels.

    4
    « Great Stay »

I was very impressed with the Hotel overall from the time you first stepped into the lobby which was well appointed to the rooms which were very clean and comfortable, and the Breakfast in the morning which was excellent, with many choices for everyone's taste. I will definitely visit again.

    « Pleasant stay »

The hockey team my grandson (11) plays on stayed at this Hotel and found it to be excellent. Boys were able to play road hockey and ball in the back parking lot. We also had a big BBQ with all the parents, grandparents, and boys. Great experience.

    5
« Very good chain of Hotels »

You consistently get great service, excellent breakfast and reasonably priced. Not only that there are so many Best Western hotels pretty well every where you go so no problem getting a nice hotel, with comfortable beds, clean rooms almost anywhere!

    3
« Right off the Trans Canada »

Stayed here upon the recommendation of family as the hotel is very pet friendly. This hotel was clean, although our room seemed very dated and bedding old (Ground Floor) it was nice to be able to park in front of the patio door, made for easy unloading/loading of the car and taking the dog outside. The pool, slide and hot tub were great and the included breakfast provided numerous different options. The price seemed a little steep for a mid week stay during off season, but there weren't to many other options in the area for a last minute stay enroute home. Not sure if we'd stay here again.

    3
    « Average »

Pool was great. Lounge was ... odd but the bartender was interesting, competent, and friendly. Recumbent bike did not work and the eliptical squealed. Mostly tourists stay here. Breakfast was so-so but, again, mostly tourists stay here so they are not aiming at business people who virtually live there.

    3
« Average and over priced »

Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. Close to Trans Canada. Lots to offer as far as facilities go. Close to drug store and restaurant. Beds uncomfortable and price point too high. May stay there again but not likely.

    5
« Very clean. Right on the highway. »

This hotel was chosen because it was right on the highway and we didn't want to loose too much time. The room was very clean. Every thing looked like new. The service was very professional. The included breakfast was very good with lots of options. Check-in and check-out were very fast. It was a very good value.

    « Disappointed »

Hotel lobby very nice but that's where it stops. Rooms old, small, walls paper thin. Book this hotel on line BIG MISTAKE. There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. They put us in a room with only 2 queen beds. On line we told them the ages of our kids but there was nothing to say they couldn't accommodate us comfortably. We arrived at 6 p.m. to find out we would have to pay extra for a cot. We ordered one but by 11:00 p.m. no cot came so we went to the front desk. He advised us that he was working alone so couldn't tell us earlier that there were none left. We were furious as it was way too late to find another hotel. The desk clerk provided us with blankets and a pillow for my son to sleep on the FLOOR. UNACCEPTABLE!! But we had no choice but to stay.

    5
« Nice, short and sweet! »

Good hotel. Parking is large enough. Reception is easy to access. Elevator is just next to reception, in the center of hotel. Room are clean. Internet is fast (I watch an entire 1 hour live tv program with no lag). No, it's simply a nice and sweet hotel!

  • 5
    « Great for Families »

Large size rooms with separate "foyer", bathroom area. If quiet space is needed, the top floor is excellent. The pool and slide are fun for children too, but the hotel is classy enough and easily accessible from the highway so is excellent for business travel as well.

New hotel. Really nice decor in the lobby. Friendly staff. King room is exactly as the picture. Spacious. In room Keurig machine. We were driving on a snowy day and needed to get off the highway, it is in a convenient location. Breakfast is included in the booking fee. The room is quiet but I don't think anyone else is in our hallway wing. Overall good value.

We stayed there for 3 nights as a family with 2 children while in town for a sporting event. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern. Breakfast was good each morning with a nice selection. Kids loved the water slide (although the pool itself was a little small) The staff here were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and looking forward to our next visit.

Always a nice stop over when traveling. A newer hotel with a large and spacious front reception area. Front staff have always been courteous. Room are spacious and clean. A smaller breakfast sitting area but still a great value. Nice place for kids with their pool and slide.

    « Perfect Halfway Spot »

We stay here at least once per year on our way to PEI. Its the perfect halfway stop and the hot tub is most accommodating after a long drive. The breakfast is the perfect way to start the day with lots of hot and cold items. Its very location is perfect just off the highway - with little to no noise even with its close proximity to the hospital. The staff is very polite and help in anyway they can. Bathrooms are clean and neat with plenty of towels. Beds are perfect and I can pull right up to the door - so if I forget anyting in the van I can pop out easily. The kids love the pool and the slide.

« Wonderful one night stay. »

We stayed here overnight for one night on our way to Nova Scotia just before Christmas. We stayed in a suite, which more than comfortably slept our 3 children, 2 adults and one dog. The hotel is easy to locate, just off the highway. Rooms and common areas are very well maintained. A hot breakfast is served in the morning. Staff were amazing! Thanks, we had a great stay.

    2
    « Disappointing »

Seemed to be virtually no sound proofing between rooms. Very noisy. Bed was also rather uncomfortable - the mattress sagged. Hairdryer was all but useless. I left the hotel in December with wet hair. Disappointing and surprising for a hotel of this rating and price. Won't return. I've stayed at older, cheaper places in edmundston and had a better experience.

    « Great Place! »

We (3 adults) were travelling over Christmas & stayed here on our way to Quebec as well as on our way back home to NS. The place is great. It's easy to find (even in a snow storm). The front desk staff are friendly and efficient (even when they're busy). The lobby was very tastefully decorated for the holidays - very inviting. And the rooms were lovely - nice & clean, comfy beds, a great shower, a microwave & mini-fridge. Really, everything you might want. The only negative was the pool. Not much larger than a puddle. There's a nice looking water slide but that's it. Once one or two kids get in there, it's full. But, other than that, everything's good. Only $125 for the three of us & that included breakfast. So great value, as well.

We stayed here on our way to Ontario. I was very impressed with how nice the lobby is. The room was a double queen on the 2nd floor, it was also nice. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room also some popcorn and coffee....I thought the popcorn was thoughtful. It's dog friendly at no extra charge, it's very clean and they offer a full, free breakfast. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

« Right location for taking a break »

The hotel is off the Trans Canada Highway/NB 2. After long driving, it offered us a good resting place. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Double window protected against outside noise. The morning breakfast supplied fresh whole banana, it was a little good surprise after traveling several days and eating restaurant food only.

« Great place to stop »

Well located, excellant staff, clean rooms and well kept. Breakfast while hot could handle a few more options but still better than most. I recommend that if you need to stop in this City or passing by to stop you will feel confortable. For those with kids the pool will pleased them

    « Pleasant Stay »

My husband and I were on a trip from western Canada to eastern Canada, we stayed in Edmundston only because it was convenient for our travels east that day. If and when we drive east again we will be sure to stay in Edmundston and stay at this hotel. Driving up to the building you feel as though you are driving up to an old castle converted to a modern hotel. The entire establishment is full of neat pieces of art an decor. There are not carpets in the rooms and this may be because it is pet friendly. The breakfast area is super crowded and so poorly planned out; the line is right at the entrance and there are hardly enough seats for the amount of rooms the hotel has. Other then that it was a great stay.

« Allround great place to stay for a reasonable price in Northern New Brunswick »

Very well kept property, clean comfortable rooms and impressively decorated lobby. The room was spacious and included a microwave, small refrigerator and some ground floor units have patio doors to parking area which allowed for quick access to your vehicle for unloading luggage, etc. I will definitely plan future stays at this hotel when travelling in the area for business or pleasure.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

This was a great place for weary travelers. The outside is in grand style castle. The rooms were clean and the staff was exceptional. The front desk immediately changed from French to perfect English. I have spent a great deal more for a lot less. Very good.

« suites are spacious and well appointed »

we did not make a reservation and the hotel was almost fully booked so we had to take a one bedroom suite at $175 per night. A little rich for our taste but we had no options. When we entered the room we understood why the price, very modern with a full kitchen, fully equipped, an iisland for eating at, electric fireplace and flat screen tvs. The bathroom had a walk in shower, there was also a faux leather seat at the vanity with a magnifying mirror. The unit had an abundance of storage and was modernly decorated with quality pieces. The only negative was the pullout sofa in the living area that while in like new condition (as was everything in the room) had to be the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on.The front desk staff was courteous and efficient and the complimentart breakfast was excellent for a complimentary breakfast. A no hassle place to stay.

    5
    « PLeasant surprise »

Hotel is very well maintained and has a very welcoming lobby. Has pool, exercise room, etc., and a hot and cold breakfast is included in the room price. Rooms are very spacious and have a small fridge, microwave, and a Keurig Coffeemaker. It is without hesitation that I recommend this facility.

    4
« Nice place not enough accessible parking »

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was not great because of the amount of chlorine. Just sitting in the pool room made my eyes water. Breakfast was very tasty but needs more seating. My only real issue was the lack of accessible parking. We were traveling with a family member who has a disability and could not get parking near the front of the hotel. Two of the four spots were occupied by people with no permits. Unfortunately it was too late at night for the front desk to call the rooms to have the vehicles moved.

« Clean and large rooms. »

We stayed here for one night and were very very satisfied. The room was clean which is #1 with me. It had a king size bed, a full sofa, coffee table, full desk and a very comfortable desk chair (my husband said). The breakfast the next morning was really good. Lots of hot and cold choices. The dining room was cozy and not sterile looking like a lot of the eating areas are now. We definitely would stay here again with no problem and would recommend it to friends and family and anyone that asks. To the manager: We actually found the whole hotel quite warm. The room, the eating area and the hallways. Save yourself a little money and turn it down a couple of degrees.

    « Excellent Hotel »

This hotel is very close an intersection of the TransCanada highway, about a five minute drive into the town and about ten minutes away from the boarder with the United States. The hotel is modern and nicely furnished. It has a lounge/bar on the second floor which is nice to place to relax in. The breakfast restaurant is clean and the selection is good. The rooms are well appointed and the beds comfortable. Interesting the floors are not carpeted making it easy to roll your luggage along halls and into rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and fully bilingual. An excellent place to break up a trip if you are heading from Ontario to the Maritimes, but book early as they seem to fill up fast during tourist season. Once you stay there you will understand why.

« One of the best »

We were only at this hotel for one evening on our return from an east coast tour but we could find absolutely nothing less than first class. The service was excellent and the decor was beautiful. Thank you.

« Good price point and clean »

This was a great rest stop for our cross Canada road trip. It was very clean, comfortable beds, close to the hwy, restaurants and great parking. Spent a little while in the hot tub and it was nice clean and relaxing. Free continential breakfast that was ok but it's free. The staff were friendly as well Would for sure recommend this hotel.

« Another good stay at a Best Western »

This appears to be a new hotel but is actually 8 years old. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the decor soothing. The most interesting feature is bedroom floors that look like carpet but are actually linoleum, This is easy to move luggage on and is dust free. The complimentary hot breakfast was a bit disappointing,,instant eggs on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The staff is friendly and helpful.
