"Shocking"
I don't believe how bad the service/food was. The time between courses was 3/4 hour, I had the lamb, which I sent back because of how cremated it was and as tuff as leather, then the next one turned up blue. Very disappointed, when it was for a special birthday......
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Billy310812 I am sorry that you had a disappointing experience in regard to your main course when you dined with us. it is certainly not our aim to disappoint any of our guests and am sorry we were not given the opportunity to apologise on the evening. Our lamb is supplied by our local butcher and we endeavour to ensure it is prepared and presented well. Our apologies on this occasion. Kind regards Jason

"Good Hotel, disappointing food."
We stayed for one night on a golf break. There is much to recommend about this hotel. The public areas are bright, clean and well-decorated and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfortable and well-equipped. Unlike some other reviewers we were very happy with the breakfast on offer. We were, however, disappointed with the evening meal. On arrival we were asked to complete a form stating what we wished to eat from the very limited Table D'hote menu (part of the package) but the quality of the food was, frankly, very poor. We queried this with the restaurant manager and were told that there is an allowance of £25 per person on such packages which would have made it difficult to choose a 3-course meal from the main A La Carte menu. However this had not been made clear to us. Had it been, we would have either chosen one, or possibly two courses from that menu or would have eaten a bar meal. Given also that this was a Monday evening, we were tempted to think that the chef was probably on his/her night off. Restaurant service was also weak - the staff were pleasant enough, but they did not seem to us to have been very well trained in customer service. We would stay here again - the golf course is excellent and the accommodation very good - but we would not choose the same eating arrangements.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Dajtrav, Thank you very much for taking the time post your review of your recent golf break. I am pleased that overall you were happy with the hotel, room and facilities, especially the golf course of which we are very proud. I am sorry that on this occasion you were disappointed with your evening meal. I do hope that next time you stay, please ask for alternative dinning options and we will be only too happy to help. We look forward to welcoming you to the Bank House Hotels, Spa and Golf Club very soon. Kind regards Jason
"Poor Service & Lied to by Staff"
I have regular massages elsewhere and my daughter is an award winning beautician and owns an award winning salon. Arrived at Malvern View today for 90 minutes of treatment, I had had a light massage on my legs yesterday at our salon. The lady at reception told me that I could not have any massage, she also told me that I could not have a leg wrap. She also told me that that was the law in the UK which is a lie. It is also not within their terms and conditions yet she stated it was the hotel's policy. As I had not had a back massage yesterday I told her that I would have one of those instead. She said that she would ask my masseuse if that was OK. I informed her that if the masseuse said it was not to get the manager for me. She came back and told me that she had spoke to my therapist who was also the Hotel's Assistant Manager and that she had said that I could not have the treatment requested on my legs. She also told me that I could not have more than 30 minutes on my back as the 90 minute treatment consisted of only 30 minutes on the back and the rest on the legs!!! My therapist was Claire, who has worked there for 3 years and is not the hotel's Assistant Manager. Furthermore despite having paid for 90 minutes of treatment the receptionist also tried to stop me using the spa facilities which are included, telling me to wait in the cafe!!! Disgusting service
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Dannyyoung Thank you for speaking to me earlier today in order to clarify and resolve this situation. At our spa we endeavour to provide an excellent experience and advice on which treatments to take and I am sorry that on this occasion there was some confusion in regard to this. I am pleased we will have the opportunity to be able to welcome you back to the spa and to demonstrate our usual service levels which we aim to provide. The management team in the spa would like their apologies to be associated with mine. Kind regards Jason
"Great hotel"
Myself, my mum and sister visited the hotel for my mums birthday and we were really happy. The family room was really nice with a good bathroom. We had lunch in the bar which was delicious. The spa was well worth a visit we spent a really enjoyable few hours pampering ourselves. The breakfast was ok, the buffet looked a little unappetising so we ordered eggs benedict off the menu which was lovely. The only complaint I have was the hotel was a little cold. The weather was dreadful and there was no heating on. Also the communal areas were a little shabby especially the carpet. All in all though it's a great hotel and I would definitely visit again. X

"Great hotel, Disappointing breakfast."
We visited for a quiet break away to rewind and relax. We were pleased with the facilities on offer and the room provided. Breakfast, however was a huge dissapointment. There was alarge choice but we opted for a cooked breakfast from the buffet. It was all cold and we were unable to eat it. The sausages were also undercooked and very pink and we ended up seeking breakfast elsewhere.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Michelle S, Thanks for posting your review and I am sorry that breakfast let us down on this occasion. I hope that you were able to bring your disappointment to the attention of the restaurant or duty manager prior to your departure. We certainly do have the right environment and facilities to provide the ability to rewind and relax and am pleased you were able to do so. I very much hope you will return again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Great hotel"
Stayed recently. Great staff from the friendly polite receptionist to the restaurant manager. Really impressed us how professional yet friendly all the staff were. Modern hotel and our room (number 8) was really good. Very clean and tidy. Only complaint was the food from evening meal to breakfast not great. Obvious some problems in kitchen but could have been a blip. Manager quickly dealt with but breakfast food was very slow coming out/being replaced, there should always be plenty of bacon and sausage. I had eggs benedict the eggs were hard and cold and were on cold muffins with lack of sauce. Better luck next time

Dear John W, Thanks for posting a review following your recent stay and thanks for the great feedback in regard to the team. I am sorry that on this occasion that breakfast was disappointing, we are certainly working hard to ensure that we are consistently providing a great breakfast. I do hope that you will decide to stay with us again next time you are in the area. Kind regards Jason
"Great Value"
a Group of 18 had a weekend at the hotel as part of a golf trip. The hotel has a golf course within a 2 minute walk and that worked perfectly for us. On a B&B basis we found the hotel offered great value. The service was excellent and the breakfast offered all the required choices. The rooms are more than adequate and there is a spa which we did not use. There are 2 local inns within 5 minutes which both offer a choice of ales and serve food. Our only complaint was the long wait for sandwiches on the Sunday afternoon but otherwise would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Keith D, Its great to read that your golf weekend went so well, we are very proud of our fantastic course and hope you found it good to play. Thanks for your positive comments in regard to your room, the service and breakfast. I very much hope you will return to the Bank House Hotel, Spa and Golf Club in the near future and sorry for the wait on the sandwiches. Kind regards Jason
"Below expectations!"
We attended a wedding and stayed overnight. The room was ok needs a refurb tired looking decor, room phone not working with exposed wires, mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, drainage poor from the bath almost blocked and silicone seal black in large areas. The breakfast was awful ordered waffles and shop bought, over cooked , hard waffles appeared. Considering this is a 4 star hotel I was disappointed. Premier inns are a much better standard in both room and food quality.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear nicben2018, I am sorry that on this occasion we failed to meet your expectations, it is most rare for us to encounter any issues with our rooms and will certainly look into this. We endeavour to provide a good quality breakfast and sorry that the waffles were not to your liking. Kind regards Jason
"Hotel Lovely but Dining unpredicatable"
The hotel it self is to a really high standard which is let down by the dining experience in both bar and restaurant, Our room was to an exceptional standard with great quality refreshments and toiletries. The room was immaculate but towels were different each day of our 3 night visit. We had no hand towels one day, no bath mat another! The food described on the menu is not always what you receive. hand cut chips are frozen chips, Whiskey sauce has no whiskey, onion salad had no onion to name a few. Staff do not ask if all ok with meal when things clearly were not. Glasses and cutlery not on tables where food and drink being served, gravy arrives after 4 requests. breakfast not made clear you can order from menu as well as buffet and it is up to guest to work this out and try to action. Reception not interested in sorting any problems when we mentioned at check out, did not even ask what the issues were!!!! Spa was very quiet which suited us to a tee and had a very relaxing time using the facilities. We would return as the hotel has really great qualities if only they can sort out the service issues and maybe adapt a training programme which would improve things overnight.

"over night stay"
Has pool and spa, not really deep enough for swimming and not very warm. Didn't sample restaurant, ate out. Had breakfast, have to watch the coffee, mine was stewed had to ask for fresh, the rest of breakfast was ok, hot buffet, don't know how long it had been there. The bathroom, the toilet very close to the wall, wouldn't do for large people and the toilet roll holder was in a ridiculous place you needed to be a contortionist.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear vald19, Thanks for your review following your recent stay, sorry that there were a few areas which did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I do hope that this will not deter you for considering to stay with us again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Fantastic staff."
We spent the weekend here for my sons wedding - the housekeeping staff were extremely helpful as I am disabled and needed extra facilities. All done within half an hour and with a smile. All of the waiting staff were so helpful too, both at the wedding breakfast, in the bar and other meals in the hotel. We were delighted- however, sadly my daughter and her husband did not enjoy their stay as much as they were not happy with the beds and their small room.

"Great function room"
I was face painting for a private christening event on bank holiday weekend. Staff were really helpful and it's a great function room for a large event. Client Did a lot of decorating with chair covers etc and was beautifully dressed.

Dear Jo K, Thanks for your post. I understand the christening was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves. Glad that the team were able to assist you. Kind regards Jason
"A wonderful place to stay."
A superb hotel to while away the time being pampered in spotlessly clean hotel & spa whilst our husbands visited the Morgan car factory 3.3 miles away. The staff where efficient & friendly but not intrusive. Would definitely stay again as our men folk want to revisit the Morgan car factory. Can't wait for another stay.

"Fantastic Executive rooms, lovely setting, excellent eggs benedict!"
The hotel is very conveniently placed for Worcester, we were visiting relatives in Hallow. We had an Executive room which was lovely, very clean and modern. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was busy both mornings we stayed but managed ok. I chose from the menu and had Eggs benedict one day and the Smoked Haddock the second morning, both were lovely. The breakfast buffet looked good too. The pool is really nice and the spa area, the sauna and steam room are quite small but it wasn't busy when I went in, so thoroughly enjoyed it. The changing rooms are great, and showers with lovely temple spa products. We would definitely return again.
"Promised much, but failed to deliver"
This hotel, with a Spa and Golf Course, promised so much but failed to deliver. It was clean and tidy, although the bed mattress was pretty basic. The limited swimming hours for children staying with hotel guests was frustrating. In the spa the jacuzzi and steam rooms were not hot enough to be effective. The advertised Wifi connection was not very good and cell phone cover in the hotel was really poor so not a good option for a business stay.
"Wonderful Stay"
Came here for a weekend break with a Spa day booked for the Saturday. The hotel looks beautiful and the room was massive, with some high quality bedding. The bed was 2 singles pushed together, which isnt the best to sleep in as a couple, but still a good nights sleep. We used the restaurant on the first night, alright food, nothing special, but quite expensive really, we went to the Fox Inn the second night, a 3 minute drive down the road and much cheaper. Breakfast was good in the mornings, Buffet style. The spa was the main reason for the visit, and it was extremely enjoyable. Very welcoming staff, and good pool and thermal section, we had some food in the cafe which was nice as well. The massages we had were wonderful as well. Would definitely recommend this place for the spa alone!

"Intimate spa experience"
A great spa experience for anyone looking for a short day. Small pool from bi fold doors with views out to a garden, good seating area outside. Thermal suite has steam, sauna and jacuzzi. Treatments were included in our package and were fantastic by friendly & professional therapists. The package lunch had a variety of choices & were delicious. Very small criticism is lack of clearing of cups around the pool area & it wasn't particularly busy. It's the same with all spa's, but please try to reduce the amount of needless plastic cups used.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear SarahJayS Thanks for your review and its good that you had such a great spa experience whilst at the Malvern View Spa at the Bank House Hotel, Spa and Golf Club. Kind regards Jason
"Great place to stay"
Booked the room at the last minute on the strength of other TA reviews. I'm glad that I did. It met and exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, the food was great. I'm only sorry I did have time to explore the grounds. Definitely stay there again!

"lovely views"
Lovey room. seating outside on a hot balmy evening after a lovely dinner was great, We booked 2 rooms- 2 couples- 3 played golf being the non golfer walked the course great swim after- plan for 2nd day breakfast - Walk part of the course and back for a swim, was pounced on and told in no uncertain terms facilities are for guest's- we checked out before the tee off time so were no longer guests, this is probably quiet normal I wasn't aware.the pool wasn't busy no-one using the outside sun beds, my first experience of a golf break I wouldn't recommend a non golfer goes, Also Breakfast was a disappointment bacon and sausage in servers were cold, lack of coffee asked for 2nd cup grudgingly filled - coffee pot not to be seen again. Great first day spoiled for me by the second

Dear nette13, Thank you for your review following your recent short break and am sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Our Spa is a welcome distraction for non-golfers, however the demand for it is high and we would always recommend pre-booking a treatment as part of your stay, while friends are out on the course. We are always reviewing our offering and am sorry that breakfast was a disappointment, however we certainly appreciate the feedback. I very much hope that you would consider staying with us again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Second stay"
We booked a night to break up our trip home from cornwall. We decided we would like to stay in Cornwall an extra night and asked the hotel if we could push back our stay and they were happy to accommodate this. The hotel looks great and the family room we stayed in (110) was huge and really clean and nicely decorated. The pool is only available to children between set hours but we had a swim at 4 for an hour before tea time which was lovely. Great facilities and extras in ladies changing rooms, a very nice touch. Breakfast had a great choice for ourselves and the children. Pleased with this. Small points to consider to make even better: - it lacks more adult, experienced staff members in the hotel. Lots of young staff who were all lovely but it's nice to see more mature staff to enhance the professionalism.

I do hope that you will choose to stay with us the next time you are passing through the area. Kind regards Jason
"Pleasant Hotel"
We visited here with friends recently. Very clean and pleasant hotel. The staff are really friendly. Rooms reasonable size but in this current weather very warm. The swimming pool and spa are small but very welcoming. Very nice area to sit out and drink/eat. Ample parking. You do need a car - nothing to walk to. Would recommend this hotel.

"Long Weekend with the family "
Stopped at the Bank House, with the family booking two rooms, one for the wife & teenage daughter, another for my teenage adult son & myself. A nice warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival, with us being upgraded to two executive rooms next door to one another a great start. Very clean & well presented rooms with a large walk in shower, no bath, but I personally prefer a shower and one this large and powerful meaning you can get showered very quickly is fantastic. Only thing that would be nice is air conditioned rooms. Especially given very hot summer of 2018. But fans were available on request. Visited the bar again to be warmly greeted by the barman, asking how I was & he'd not seen me in nearly a year. Which was true as I used to work down in Worcester. Either excellent attention to detail or I left a lasting impression. All the staff were excellent and very friendly with nothing too much trouble for them.

"Spot on. "
Stayed here with work, really nice hotel. Used the spa which was delightful. Nice size pool, jacuzzi, steam room Staff lovely and always happy to help. Didn't eat here. But menu looked lovely. Highly recommended
"Excellent stay"
We booked to stay 2 nights but ended up staying an extra night. We were allocated a room on the first floor overlooking the back of the hotel, it had a beautiful view out and was really quiet. The room was very well decorated and it was big enough. Whilst staying here we played the Golf course twice, it was very well set up and there were a few challenging holes as well. We got a taxi into the center of Worcester for a night at the races, we also eat in the center for 2 nights there are a great many bars and restaurants to visit. On our last night we decided to eat at the hotel and the food was excellent well worth have a meal there. A big credit to hotel for the following staff who were absolutely brilliant during our stay, Kumar (in reception), Katherine (from the restaurant), Ben (the bar) and James (the Duty Manager). We will definitely be back again .
"A comfortable hotel"
Arrived late afternoon and a member of staff took our luggage to the room without being asked to do so. We found throughout our stay that all staff were courteous and helpful. Room was comfortable but facing the car park so was a little noisy. The main restaurant menu was lacking in vegetarian choices so we didn't eat in. Breakfast was ok, but the kitchen needs reminding how to prepare Eggs Benedict. On the three occasions I had it the muffins were prepared differently. First time was heavily toasted, the second was not toasted at all and the third was correctly lightly toasted. On all three occasions the poached eggs yolk was hard instead of soft or just runny.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Peter B, Thank you for recent post following your stay. I am most pleased that you found the team courteous and helpful throughout your stay. Sorry that there was an inconsistency at breakfast with your eggs Benedict. I do hope that you will stay with us again in the future next time you are in the area. Kind regards Jason
"Relaxing stay."
Stayed here on Saturday night (21st July 2018). As guests we was able to access all the spa facilities. The facilities were kept clean, the staff was very polite and helpful and the spa was how it's supposed to be relaxing!!! However I would recommend if booking for treatments you do this in advance as I wanted to book but there wasn't a time left available that suited me. In the night we decided to eat in the hotel rather than venture out. We ate off the bar menu and the food was nice enough. It wasn't anything special but was nice enough. The waitress staff were very helpful, chatty and welcoming. Me and my boyfriend was both surprised as to how quiet the restaurant was as there was only us and another table of four in there on a Saturday night. There was a wedding being held here on the date we stayed but we heard no noise what so ever. No music or no drunk guests. The reception and bar is manned 24/7 for guests which was brilliant as we'd go down to the bar for a drink and then take these back to the room with us. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely visit again!

"Fabulous 60th Birthday Party!"
I held my 60th birthday party here and I cannot praise them enough. Throughout the whole process of organisation, all the staff were helpful and obliging in every way. I felt very confident about all the arrangements and on the night everything went perfectly. The room was perfect for the occasion, set out just as agreed and the chair covers, table displays etc made the room look spectacular. The food was great and loads of it - no complaints at all!! I stayed the night in the hotel and the room was excellent -very large, stylish and perfectly clean with a great breakfast in the morning. Many thanks to you all, particularly Ros and James.

"Work"
Stayed here last night for work. Room was ok, nothing special, clean as was the bathroom. Was in a room in the roof, so could see out of the window unless standing on right by it. No air con, was a very room. Bar menu was ok & the staff generally helpful. Fine for a one night stay for work. Not sure I'd stay for a weekend break.

"A Superb Hotel"
We stayed for one night on the way back home from holiday, and wished we could stay longer. This is a beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. It has a spa which we didn't use but if its anything like the rest of the hotel it will be good. Our room was lovely, as was the bathroom, with a selection of toiletries. Wifi was free and good and there is a large car park. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection and choice of full English or Continental. We had a delicious evening meal - cooked with local produce where possible - and again there was a good choice. We would certainly visit this hotel again and recommend it to others.

"Nice Hotel in Pleasant Surroundings with Great Parking"
We stayed at the Bank House Hotel on two separate weekends in May and June and found it to be a nice clean hotel tucked away only a few miles from Great Malvern. The car parking is excellent and is an ideal base for classic car owners wishing to visit the Three Counties Showground. The evening meals were rather average so we took a taxi ride into Great Malvern to eat in one of the many restaurants it has to offer on our second night of each stay. Breakfast was very good and we would return to this hotel in the future and so have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

"Jaguar Weekend Event"
Fabulous hotel, the rooms were lovely, staff were friendly and helpful, the spa was perfect, everything I could ask for. We were at the hotel for 2 evening 3 course dinners with a group of 120+ people, the food was excellent. We had a brilliant weekend, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

"Jaguar dinner weekend"
I too stayed at this hotel at the jaguar weekend gala dinner. I hound the hotel very accommodating. My room was very comfortable with a sofa to relax in . The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help, including earlier breakfast and a packed lunch to ease our day. I found the food to be delicious and ample considering they were cooking for over 100 people on each night. I would recommend them highly

The cars looked amazing in the car park and thanks for your recommendation. I very much hope we have the opportunity to look after you again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Event Weekend"
Stayed for two nights on a special event weekend. Lovely room - very spacious and excellent facilities. The staff very friendly and efficient. Spa area very good and the hot tub, whilst very atmospheric, I personally would prefer outside location to alleviate chlorine fumes. Swimming pool refreshing and open to outside on one wall. The food a little bland and really was the only downside of the whole weekend. That said, the breakfast was very good.

We look forward to being able to welcome you all back in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Gala dinner weekend"
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with a car club for an annual Jaguar event and gala dinner. The hotel was very comfortable but the food left a lot to be desired, tasteless and mediocre. I would seriously have to consider if I were to return there.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Steve, Thanks for your recent review following your stay with the car club. I am pleased to read that you found the hotel comfortable and that we met your needs and am very sorry that you were disappointed in the food on this occasion. I do hope that you will return in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Standard Hotel"
We stayed here for 2 nights with our little boy. The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. On our first evening I called reception and complained as our room was horrendously noisy! It sounded like a horn everytime the room next door used their bathroom. We were informed that we were next to the boiler room and were very kindly moved the next day. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin and whilst the noise wasn't as bad, we could still here next door when they used their water and also could hear them talking. The manager also changed our mattress for us in the new room as the springs had completely gone! She also gave us a discount on the bill for the continued inconvenience caused. The breakfast has a good selection but my husband was served a raw omelette on the second day (the first day was delicious and cooked perfectly). All in all a lovely, clean, well kept hotel. They are keen to and good at dealing with complaints or issues but we won't be returning due to the noise and disturbances.

"This place Gets Most Things Right"
We stayed for one night only en route to Pembrokeshire. It is easily found just outside Worcester, with a large car park. Reception was pleasant and our room (Room 1!) was a good size with comfortable seating for two, and everything in the bathroom worked. Everything was clean - decor a bit bland. A visit to the bar for a snack and a glass of wine went well, both the wine and the food being better than we have had previously at similar hotels. Breakfast was a let down, they were expecting to be very busy and had gone the buffet route; it was well staffed and the staff did well, but the fried eggs were solid and the scramble unpleasantly brown - at least the bread was a step up from the usual flannelette stuuf.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear 53farmers Thank you for your review following your recent stay. We are located in an ideal location for a stop over en route. Having such a great position but only a couple of miles form the centre of Worcester. I am pleased that your overall stay was so positive, in most aspects from your room through to your bar experience and I can assure you we will keep an eye on the eggs. I do hope you will choose to stay with us again when you are passing through. Kind regards Jason
"Pretty Good But Could Be Better In Some Areas"
I took a party of golfers to this hotel for a long weekend. The course was tough but very good and enjoyed by all. The hotel in general was good although it appeared the restaurant was usually short staffed and running out of things on the breakfast buffet wasn't unusual. It also wasn't unusual to wait ages for breakfast dishes ordered off of the menu. This led to a one particular member of staff running her socks off and getting a bit tetchy fielding questions regarding why food that hadn't shown. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable but housekeeping did forget to replenish some consumables on a couple of the days. Reception were very helpful particularly to one of our number that has mobility problems. The drinks were quite expensive even for this type of establishment. All in all though I don't think any of my party would have a problem in returning.

"A wonderful spa experience!"
My husband and I have spent the day experiencing a spa package. The receptionist was very polite and nothing was too much trouble for her. She served us lunch and then drinks throughout the day. We really enjoyed our swim and jacuzzi experience and then the massages this afternoon were just wonderful. Katrina and Jess gave us both an hour long massage that left us feeling wonderfully relaxed.

"Good for business or groups but serving disgusting coffee"
Stayed 4 nights with a group. Good location, good room but small, clean, good staff. What upset me enormously was that when I arrived at breakfast at 7 am on Saturday, no one was around and when some staff arrived, I was told breakfast was only at 7:30 am on week-ends. England you will need to wake up earlier if you wish to be successful in today's world ! I was nevertheless offered a coffee but refused the one from the container that was already waiting. They serve some awful brew that they call coffee but it's either banal instant coffee or some coffeesyrup with water added. Not drinkable. One girl however said she could make a double espresso, disappeared and returned with a so called double espresso that was exactly the same awful brew as in the container. I refused it and driove to a nearby McDonalds which was open and were I was able to buy a tasty double espresso. How low can one get that you are obliged to go to McDonalds to obtain a decent coffee. Poor Bank House hotel.

Dear Karel V Thanks for your post. We are indeed very fortunate to have a great location and some amazing views of the Malverns. I am sorry that our coffee offering was not to your liking. Our breakfast times mirror the majority of our guest needs through out the week, however if any guest requires breakfast outside these times we will certainly have some great options which we are able to provide. I certainly hope you will consider staying with us again when you are in the area. Kind regards jason
"Wonderful Stay"
I took my Mum to stay at this hotel for two nights as an 80th birthday treat and to attend the RHS Show at Malvern. We had a lovely two days - pampered in the spa and the girls treated my Mum like royalty. The room was very large, clean and tastefully decorated. We ate in the restaurant both evenings. The food was of good quality and we were served on the second evening by the lovely Lucie who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you.

We are located close to the Three Counties Showground so an ideal place to stay when attending the RHS shows at Malvern. I do hope you will stay with us again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Great hotel and staff"
I visited this hotel for my mates wedding. I found the staff were very pleasant and professional the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and once again the staff were very polite and friendly. The beer was nice but a bit pricey. The only 2 set backs is the shower wasn't very powerful and the price of the beer. I would definitely use this hotel again for a nice relaxing weekend again

"Excellent Staff made successful visit"
We went as part of a group of 22 for May Bank holiday early May 18. Most of the group were playing golf on the excellent course attached to the hotel. The rooms vary but all are comfortable , clean, some with amazing views out across the Malvern Hills. Good car parking. Excellent spa reasonable prices and good facilities. Small gym area. Lovely pool with usual hotel additions of jacuzzi etc. Bar small but well serviced. Good sandwich or baguettes selection available throughout the day. Limited selection available at the golf bar while it is being upgraded. Pro shop friendly and helpful. Restaurant food mixed and for group some very large meals offered which wasted a lot of food. Need to consider portion control for group meals, however may be as a result of complaints previously made of not enough food for people out on the course all day. Food delivered to individual residents did not appear to be so lacking in refinement and portion control. Breakfasts average but good additional made to order food available. Nice reception area with comfortable seating area. Although large wedding while we stayed we were not disturbed by the guests at any time, despite them enjoying the wedding. Pleasant stayband would consider returning just as a couple beautifully placed to explore Worcester, Malvern and surrounding area.

"Lovely accommodation, very disappointing food. "
I visited this hotel as it was a central location to meet 3 girl friends. It was easy to find with good parking. Reception nice and welcoming. We had 4 x double rooms which were nicely decorated, clean and with all the amenities required for a stay overnight. We did not use the Spa But did look through the door and it looked lovely. Unfortunately the downside to the visit was the poor quality of the food. The bar smelt of dirty drains so we opted for eating in the restaurant. The choice was poor and we had to return one of the dishes as it was incorrectly cooked. The desert was ok but branston pickle does not constitute ‘pickle' with an expensive cheese board. The room was badly lit. The service was attentive though. Breakfast cost us the reduced price of £10 but this was not value for money. For 4 of us we were given 3 pieces of cold burnt toast and the sparse waiters needed to be flagged down for tea and coffee. The cooked breakfast was inconsistently cooked with some things over cooked and others under (I had two pieces of bacon - one perfect, one verging on raw). The tiny pastries were thrown on side plates and generally everything looked very unappetising. We were extremely disappointed. All in all we had a enjoyed ourselves but would probably not return as planned in October based upon the food.

Dear Victoria E, I am sorry that on this occasion you felt that we did not get it entirely right with your stay. I am pleased that you found our rooms to your satisfaction. We are located in the Worcestershire countryside and the smell was derived from on of the adjacent farms who were treating some of the fields, unfortunately beyond our control and we did aim to keep all windows and doors closed. I am sorry that you encountered difficulty at breakfast, we have a good selection on our continental buffet and many options with our cooked items. I am sorry that we did not have the opportunity to discuss these points prior to your departure to allow us to apologise and have rectified the situation with you. I do hope that you would consider returning to us in October and am sure all will be to your satisfaction. Kind regards Jason

"Nice place, food very poor"
We booked a meal in the restaurant, 3 out of the 4 meals had to be returned as they were poorly cooked. When the new meals arrived these also had to be sent back for the same reason. Very poor. Prior to arrival we tried to book spa treatments however we were unable to make contact with the spa as the phone just rang out. The hotel is in lovely setting it was just a shame our experience did not meet expectations.
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Steve H, I note your disappointment in regard to your dinner during your recent stay. I understand you were able to discuss this with our Duty Manager, who apologised that the pigs cheek element of our Pork main course item which three were ordered, were not as expected and not to your liking. It is certainly not our intention to disappoint and alternative dishes were produced for you and you were able to resolve the matter with her. I am sorry that you were unable to get through to the Spa when you tried calling, however had a message been left with the hotel team they would have ensured that you would have received a call back from a member of our Spa team who would have been able to advise on availability and treatments. We are very fortunate to have a great setting with wonderful views of the Malvern Hills and hope that we may have the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Last minute heavenly escape!"
Very last minute dinner bed and breakfast getaway! What a fabulous stay with such friendly fabulous staff! The spa was lovely and we both enjoyed a gorgeous treatment which I would highly recommend. Slept so well in a comfy bed! Breakfast was excellent! My husband ordered the smoked haddock with kedgeree sauce which he said was delicious. Highly recommend!

"Absolutely Beautiful"
Stunning building, out of the way of amenities, but lovely retreat to get away from it all... If you need cash, make sure you get some before you get there, as there are no cash machines nearby. Hotel is clean and inviting, as are the rooms. Breakfast was really lovely, offering freshly cooked breakfast menu as well as the regular self service full English and continental ... Evening meal was not brilliant in either selections or preparation... ie. meats all overcooked (should not be killed twice). Chicken Kiev should have a succulent centre and not be dry... Which was pointed out to the staff... Day staff, friendly, but reserved... Night staff, spot on... made to feel very welcomed. But all-in-all enjoyed the stay and would visit again.

"Last minute Easter treat"
We booked this last minute for an Easter treat. The pool and spa was beautifully clean and just what we needed. The bedroom was great - just a double standard, but lovely walk in shower and big bed, also very clean and tidy. We ate in the bar and ordered the sharing platter, wasn't the best we have had, but it was good enough. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were really helpful and polite both in the restaurant and on reception. Perfect for a night away from the children and dogs! Will definitely be visiting again. Great to have somewhere so close to home with the spa and pool. Thank you.

"Nice hotel, poor food "
My family and I managed to secure a room for the night to spend a relaxing night en route to family up North. I spend half my week every week in hotels and restaurants so chose this hotel based on reviews. We had a nice swim in the pool and as we were very tired we decided on eating in the bar with our ten year old. Firstly my wine glass was still covered in lipstick from a previous occupant. This was changed and the barman apologised. We asked if we could order various starters/sharing boards and sides so we could ‘do tapas' type food before retiring early. No young persons' menu was offered so we opted for chicken wings/fries and veg for our young person. The barman kindly negotiated a ‘plain chicken dish as my daughter didn't like sauces. The sharing platters @ £14 each consisted of a dinner plate with some small white roll/sliced mini baguette (not artisanal as advertised), I had no marinated olives on my platter, my partner had only 3 meats on his plate instead of 5 and as we had ordered large so we could all share, the appearance and portions were very poor. The feta was squeaky and rubbery. The fries were not cooked properly. All in all terribly disappointing. When asked how our meal was I did explain everything I was unhappy with. We were offered a drink from the bar but refused as we were tired. Unfortunately I spent many years importing and trading Mediterranean products including all of the ones requested so I do know quality. I also used to supply craft artisanal breads. I currently work in the food industry in the restaurant and hotel trade and I found this disappointing. Nice hotel, needs to try harder on the food. Not value for money even if it has the premium ‘spa' in front of it.

Dear Lozcarroll, I am sorry that you and your family had a disappointing experience in the bar, on this occasion, during your recent stay. "Not Children friendly"
I booked this hotel purely because of the swimming pool and having 2 boys aged 9 and 10 who love swimming. I was most put off by the way we were told that the boys were only allowed to use the pool up to 10am and between 4pm and 6pm in the afternoon / evening - basically at breakfast times and evening meal times! I asked the hotel receptionist where it said this on the hotels websites (plural) and after extensively looking herself, she said that either she couldn't find it or it wasn't on there! On this basis I found this a family unfriendly hotel. In addition to this, I was charged for the childrens breakfast. Something I have never had to pay when staying in a BW hotel. I've always only ever paid for adults. I had to wait over 10 minutes for the bacon and sausages to be brought out to the buffet trays. I was told 5, yes five, times by different members of staff that they were 'bringing the food out now' only to have to keep waiting! The staff need to be aware of the food levels in the buffet trays! On the plus side the room we had (Room 210) was very comfortable and the inter-connecting room for the boys was perfect.

Dear David, Thank you for contacting me directly prior to your trip advisor post, where I had the opportunity to apologise for the times being missed off our website when it was updated. We have now rectified this and our children's swim times which are between 8am and 10am then 4pm to 6pm Monday to Sunday; are now detailed on our website and web page for our guests information. We do have a number of good sized family rooms as well as the option of interconnecting rooms as you did and am pleased that you liked room 210. I am also sorry you experienced a delay during our breakfast service on this occasion. I do hope that you will give us the opportunity to demonstrate our usual levels of service and stay with us again in the future. Kind regards Jason

"Stayed here for 2 nights to attend our Granddaughter's Wedding."
The Bank House Hotel is a lovely place with a Spa and Golf course so plenty to keep you busy. We didn't try the evening meals as we were out with family but my Sister in Lawsaid there meal was very good The breakfast was very good and plenty to eat. The Staff were very helpful on the desk and in the Breakfast room. Bar staff were also very good. The bedrooms were very big and very clean with T V and coffee and tea facilities. The downstairs room were well presented and lovely flowers around the area

"Disappointing and Unprofessional"
After an early morning rise and a long journey I arrived at the Bank House Spa Hotel. All I wanted to do was to rest, relax and have a cup of tea. I walked into the room to find that it had not yet been cleaned from the previous occupant. I had to then go and find someone to clean the room for me. I had to hang around for half an hour while this was done. I travel a lot and have never encountered this situation before. Also, when they service the rooms each day, they do not replenish the supplies. By the third day I had completely run out of toilet paper. It is very obvious that this is not a professionally run establishment.
"Very comfortable stay"
This hotel was really lovely, with some really nice touches in the room like lights in the wardrobe. The rooms are spacious and are nicely furnished. There is a lovely lounge area by reception where I was able to meet colleagues for coffee which was great. Breakfast was really varied and tasty.
"ANOTHER GREAT STAY"
Third time ive stayed at this hotel for the cheltenham festival i will be returning again for next years festival, great location for cheltenham facilities are excellent spa is very relaxing staff are friendly and welcoming rooms are clean, comfortable all round great stay.
"Customer care at its best and sadly it's worst!"
BHH formed the base for 3 couples having a day at Cheltenham races - we stayed 2 nights, dining there on the first night. Our check in went really and the Indian gentleman on reception was really affable and helpful - we were all asked to pay our b&b accounts up front which whilst slightly unusual was perfectly acceptable - I mentioned in passing that we 3 couples just split the drinks food and extras equally and would sort this on departure Our room was fine - clean and reasonably well appointed. Dinner was actually pretty good and the 2 waitresses who served were a very good advert for the hotel - they served us immaculately with exactly the right amount of humour and a permanent smile (earning themselves a tip - just as well we hadn't been to the races by then!!). The food was fine if unspectacular- cooked and presented well. We were asked for our room numbers and again mentioned everything was to be split equally. Breakfast was average - the full English buffet was not kept refreshed particularly well and the starters were a bit “sad” but overall it served its purpose Thus far I would have been giving the hotel a 4* grading - not exceptional but for the price fine. The problems arose on our checkout - the 2 female receptionists failed to understand our request to split our extras equally - all that was split equally was the evening meal we had which apparently had been done by the catering side - despite repeated requests to sort this out they refused and displayed a discourteous attitude - the consequence was we all paid differing amounts. The finance side was easily sorted out between ourselves but I was amazed at the total lack of customer care - what happened to the customer is always right!! I have rarely experienced such a wide divergence in customer care in one establishment (whether in England or around the world) - brilliant on one hand and sadly lacking on the other - unfortunately it is the poor customer care that I will remember

Dear JCHendo, Thanks for your review and hope you had a successful Cheltenham Festival. I am sorry that there was a level of confusion on checkout and that your requests to split your bills had not been carried out as expected. It is most unusual for us to receive this feedback in regard to our reception team, however this will be fed back to our team. Thanks for your very positive comments in regard to your arrival and all other experiences during your stay. I very much hope that you will consider staying with us the next time you are in the area. "1 night stay"
As hotels go this was good value. The room was clean comfortable and a good size. I ate in the bar and again no complaints with the fish and chips I had as they were very nice. Breakfast was ok but always think it's difficult to keep things fresh when it's a buffet so the fried eggs and hash brown tasted like they'd been there a while. Would stay again if I needed a hotel in the area and maybe next time I would try and use the spa facilities too

"Spa fab shame about the bar food"
Spent three nights here in Feb word of warning if you want spa treatments check first it was my Birthday and no appointments available. The pool is really nice and the girls very pleasant. First night we had a meal in the bar I ordered chicken Kiev it was awful looked like it had spent a year in the deep freezer. Following day we just ordered bar snacks both dishes terrible at this time I reported it and they took the food off the bill.on a plus side the room was fab very comfortable warm and a fantastic shower just recommend they put plug sockets next to the mirrors. All in all a nice hotel just wouldn't eat there. There are a couple of country pubs in walking distance that serve great food
"Spa 'Afternoon Escape'"
I booked for a group of 4 ladies for the 'Afternoon Escape' in the Spa. The receptionist did not seem overly pleased to see us, it certainly was not a warm and friendly welcome. The lunch food was good, but one of our party ordered crispy beef with beansprout salad and it came with rocket salad. No explanation or apology. The Spa facilities are very small, no more than 4 at a time and there was another party of ladies there and some people who were staying at the hotel. The treatment rooms were upstairs, although this had not been mentioned anywhere, is there a lift? The treatment I received was very good and so was the therapist. The relaxation room was very small and not very relaxing (compared to others I have used). When I went to pay for the 3 coffee's and 1 tea that we had consumed during our visit I was told that there was a balance of £130 on my account. Luckily my therapist was in reception and remembered that I had been in the day before to pay this balance (I did have the receipt in my purse). I won't be returning.

Dear Sue P, Thank you for visiting the Malvern View Spa and sorry that there were elements of your experience which did not meet your expectation on this occasion. Our treatment rooms are located on the first floor with an adjacent relaxation room, however we are also very fortunate to have a large relaxation area within the pool area. I am pleased that your treatment and the therapist which conducted this for you delivered a very good experience, we have a fantastic Spa team. I do hope that you would consider returning as your comments above are not reflective of the usual guest experience of our Spa. Kind regards Jason
"Spa Sauna not in operation/not working"
Disappointed that sauna was out of order/not working, not told on arrival either, otherwise pleasant, had a relaxing massage and was quiet, not many visitors so that was a boms! Nice location looking onto countryside
Jason_GM_BankHouse, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Lindsaygonsalves, Thank you for your review and am sorry that unfortunately when you were visiting the Malvern View Spa that the sauna was not available, it has since been repaired and has been fully operational for some time now. I am glad that you had a relaxing massage and that you enjoyed your experience over all. I am sure the Spa team are looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind regards Jason
"Constantly excellent!"
I regularly stay at The Bank House and have found it to be consistently excellent. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The bar menu food is very good and their specials board always offers a treat. Breakfasts are generous and well cooked. The Spa and pool area are really good and make this hotel the best place to stay if you are in the area.
".....eventful to say the least"
Well, we've just arrived back home after a weekend in the Bank House Hotel & Spa. Arrived very early on the friday and the receptionist was pleasant - luckily our room was already available and we checked in. The room didn't have a bath (as advertised) so we asked if it was possible to move and the reception team were helpful and moved us to a new room - even offering to help move our belongings. We had lunch and a pint of ale in the Sportsman Bar and both service, food and ale were all excellent. We took advantage of the fantastic spa (again the staff member here was very helpful and took time to go through everything with us) the wife especially loved the complimentary use of what seemed like hundred of beauty products! We dined outside of the hotel on Friday evening and returned back for a nights rest.... and THIS is where all hell seemed to break lose! The guests in the 2 rooms next to us were fighting, drinking and clearly drug taking until the early hours and after several calls to the night porters - they offered us a room away from the trouble where we managed to get a few hours sleep. I have nothing but praise for the 2 lads working overnight in a terrible situation they were extremely professional and we could see that this was purely down to the guests in the rooms and was certainly no fault of the hotel or staff. The following morning, breakfast was good. Not the buffet as advertised but a plated breakfast, and bar a luke warm coffee - all was ok. The morning receptionist made a point of apologising for the distress and issues overnight and even helped when we were looking for bus times in to Worcester. A very friendly and helpful chap and a credit to your hotel. Again a visit to the bar later that day and then a night out was had. A midnight fire alarm on night 2 didn't really help with our purpose of a relaxing weekend away. Overall - staff were all excellent, hotel was good (would've been better but refurbishment was clearly taking place), food was a good 8/10 and location is good for visits to both Malvern and Worcester. Checkout was ok - someone had tried charging drinks to our room which clearly weren't ours and again the chap on reception was very helpful in sorting this out. However, after 2 disturbed nights sleep and issues with room moves I would've thought that some form of discount/compensation would've been offered - but nothing. If it wasn't for the poor sleep we had (only due to the idiots in the adjoining rooms & the fire alarm) we would have come away from the hotel feeling slightly happier than we did.
"Great hotel"
Stayed for three days ideal for Worcester, Hereford and visiting National Trust places. Beautiful hotel with lots of parking in fact the best hotel we have tried so far with BW. Very pleasant staff at the hotel reception and in the restaurant. An efficient and polite young man served us at breakfast. Plenty of choice. Room was spotless. Bathroom had complementary toiletries from Temple Spa. Even though we were there 3days my wife could not booK a Temple Spa treatment. The young receptionist at the Spa did not even suggest we might book one if there was a cancellation. So if you want to use the hotel for a Temple Spa treatment phone them before you set off. Recommend the hotel as we will use it again
"Christmas Party"
Came to this hotel for work Christmas party. Easy to find, look nice outside & has ample parking. The room was clean & a good size with a large bathroom . Bed was comfy & room was with all normal equipment. The hotel had a real nice pool & spa facility with great function rooms. Over all a good experience for a quite reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

"TRUE REVIEW OF BANK HOUSE HOTEL"
We recently stayed at this hotel over Christmas. The hotel is very nice. The rooms quite spacious and very clean. The young girl on reception was very nice as were the young girls in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. We felt the dinner menu could have been a little bit more extensive but the locally sourced produce was a bonus well done. We also paid a visit to the spa which was manned by a lovely lady who gave us the info we needed. The pool was very nice as were the sauna and steam room etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would def return.

"New Years Eve Stay"
What a beautiful hotel, we stayed the a standard room on the first floor which immaculately clean and very spacious with a decent bathroom with a great shower. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful!! Breakfast at Bank House was excellent and plenty of it. Again the staff in the restaurant were great and nothing was to much trouble!! We used the pool and spa which was fantastic, so clean and ideal for a relaxing morning!! All in all 10 of 10!!

"Fantastic Christmas Day Lunch"
Having booked Christmas Day Lunch after having tried loads of other places we did not know what to expect and some of my party did not want to go We were however very pleasantly surprised and had a drink in the bar before going to out table The food was overall excellent with decent sized portions ,We were not rushed and the staff were amazing I would strongly recommend this place for next year as it is also in beautiful surroundings

"Another Cracking New Year Party"
Well here we are again on our fourth "Black Tie" New Year Bash at the Bankhouse Country Hotel with our friends Ron and Brenda. Canapés and Wine before the start. A seven course meal that was beautifully prepare by the chef, then entertainment for the rest of the evening by the great Steve Maitland who had everyone up on the dancefloor strutting their stuff. We as usual had our executive rooms. next morning our wonderful Bankhouse breakfast, the only downside for me was the fact that I was on antibiotics (bugger no alcohol). Oh nearly forgot "Adam" the plates were cold for breakfast. But that was the only downside. See you all again next year.

"What a truly wonderful place"
I have visited the Bank House Hotel several times this year and they have all been excellent visits. We as a family visited for Mother's Day this year and it was excellent. We own a business in Worcester City and so we recently held our Christmas Do there. It was brilliant. Today we went to our family Sunday lunch with Santa. What can I say but a huge thank you Bank House. You have got it so right. Very very good on all occasions. Brilliant and I would recommend it to all. Lots of staff, lots of attention and service and nice food and drink. The management team have got it right. Again, thank you. We look forward to visiting in 2018.

"Great short stay"
The hotel is easy to find and well located on the main road with ample free parking. The reception staff were very welcoming and efficient and check in was smooth. The hotel had obviously been extended over time and the room was some way from reception but really well furnished and comfortable. The shower tap didn't work but reception had someone to the room within a couple of minutes and it was fixed within ten minutes. The sports bar was comfy and staff similarly attentive, dining is available there too but we had dinner booked in the main restaurant. The main restaurant is at the end of a long corridor leading from the reception which was a bit confusing but the room is bright and airy. The lamb rump I chose was sublime and the soup starter was well made and comforting. The leisure facilities were lovely, with gym pool and treatment rooms along with sauna and steam room etc. Add the golf course attached to the hotel and all round it is a great package for the price. For those wanting to explore the Malverns Worcester Ludlow and Tewkesbury are close by. I did notice couple of people complain about food during the stay but what I had was excellent.

"Silver wedding anniversary"
My husband and I arranged to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary at The Bank House. We had a 3 course meal for 44 people and an evening buffet and disco for 100. The room looked stunning, the food was wonderful, all of our guests were giving positive comments. The evening buffet and disco was great the staff were constantly renewing the food. As for the disco guests kept coming to us to say it was the best disco ever I and my husband and i had to agree. He played music non stop without a break. Could not find fault with anything. The staff were very polite and efficient, the person that really impressed us was Abigail, she kept us informed about everything, she was on hand at all times marvellous. Several members of our party stayed the night and they all had glowing reports of room size quality etc. We would recommend this venue to anyone.

"Team Meeting"
Easy to find and with ample parking. Our team get together was a pleasant affair. Initially every complained as the place felt cold, everyone soon got warmed up as we got going. We found our meeting room well presented and dressed for the approaching Christmas parties. Water, glasses and cordial on all the tables. A light finger buffet of sandwiches for lunch. No complaints from the team, good day had by all and an early finish to boot. Definitely a location we'll use again.

"Overnight stay"
We had visited this hotel earlier in the year and as we were visiting family we booked again. 3 hour drive so happy to find room ready and booking in quick and excellent. Large comfortable bed, excellent en-suite. Woken about 2.30am by noisy guests in the corridor - not the hotel's fault, but could do with a bit of sound proofing? Brilliant view of the Malvern Hills from our bedroom over the golf course. Breakfast on this occasion not as good as last time. There were not enough guests then to have a buffet selection of hot food so it was freshly cooked to order - this time there were and it was only warm in the "hot" trays. By the time I reached the end of my egg, bacon etc the food was almost cold and the black pudding was almost as hard as a biscuit. We enjoyed the spa facilities - excellent pool, sauna etc. Good value.

"Excellent value for money course"
An excellent course in great condition and a pleasure to play. Challenging for my standard of golf with greens in terrific condition for this time of the year. There is enough of a challenge for any standard of golfer - water hazards, trees, and of course bunkers which are in good condition (always a sign of a good well cared for course) - I should know, I experienced them all! An added benefit are the wonderful views of the Malvern from various parts of the course. Also weekday play - busy but not too busy to spoil a round. At £1 a hole for non members you can't fault value for money. Added to all this is a practice putting green that is wonderfully challenging and worthy of a little 18 hole contest before or after your round. Finally, a pleasant welcome awaiting you in the 19th with snacks or meals. The curly chips were very good! The lady behind the bar could not have been more welcoming. All in all a great place for a very enjoyable 18 plus the 19th of course!

"Great Spa, OK room but awful food and dining experience "
Ok so the positives... Lovely welcome at reception. Room was very clean with a big, comfy bed and nice big towels although fairly plain and nothing fancy in general. The spa was fantastic! I've never been able to drink prosecco in a spa before and the facilities were excellent as where the girls that worked there. However...our restaurant experience was awful. The service was very slow and although the young girls that work in the restaurant were trying their best, it was not a great experience at all. My starter (duck) was bland, cold and completely unappetising although my husband enjoyed his mackerel starter. We then waited for over an hour for our mains and then my husband was presented with a very over-cooked steak (he'd ordered medium rare). We asked for it to be cooked again but a waitress returned twice to say that they didn't have any more of the same steak...or the sirloin...or the rump...third time lucky and 25 minutes later my husband then received an equally poor steak, tin foil on his tomato and frozen chips (not hand cut as advertised). My lamb was tasty but over-cooked and the rosti looked like it had been dropped on the floor. We promptly made our complaint know to the manager and although he was very polite and apologetic it was too late. Although he did not charge us for our drinks as way of an apology which was greatly accepted. Breakfast was distinctly average. Food was all luke-warm and we had to ask the waitresses 3 times before we received our tea and coffee. We went for a special anniversary and were really looking forward to a lovely meal as I'd read lots of great reviews about the food. Maybe we just unlucky but on a Saturday night during peak dining time surely it should have been at its best?! Incredibly disappointed and we would certainly not return or recommend the hotel based on our dining experience. I think the fact that there were two other large functions going on the same time may have affected the standards in the kitchen but who knows...apparently the head chef had gone home early.

Dear Natalie L, Thank you for your post following your recent stay with us. I am so pleased you enjoyed your spa experience and that you found your room and welcome so lovely. It is our wish to resolve any issues at the time they occur, so thank you for giving us the opportunity to rectify them the best we could. It is certainly our aim to ensure all our guests have a great experience. I do hope that you would consider staying with us again in the future. Kind regards Jason
"Average Overnight and Relaxing Spa Day"
I was underwhelmed by the dinner (I think there were some head chef issues on the night we ate with a reduced menu and flustered staff) and the room could've been lovely (cosy, decor, facilities, layout), but dirty light switches and taps did spoil it. The spa was excellent - clean, competitively priced and a good range of facilities and treatment options. I had a great experience but unfortunately my partner had a massage that resulted in a knot into his shoulder and headache- but he didn't inform the therapist so they may have been able to fix it if he had! I'd certainly revisit for another day spa package!

We are planning some refurbishment of our restaurant which we hope to commence in the near future. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards Jason
"Golf trip "
We played there as a large group a few years ago and couldn't wait to go back. So we travelled over 2 hours to get there. Great welcome and as usual a great place Had a beer and a chat to the pro and bar maid. Played golf in horrendous rain and wind but we all enjoyed it. We got in at 4.15pm only to find the bar and lounge shut. Barmaid said it's winter hours but closes at 4.30. Hang on it was only 4.15. 8 of us wanted a warm up and a beer. Crisps. Roll etc. No chance. All locked up. She would turn the coffee machine back on though. Knowing 8 of us were on the course having paid well over 100 pounds to play plus the money we had already spent there they had done alright but refused to open within their opening hours. The locker room was open so we could at least change. Now this would have had 5 stars as the course was great but the dedication to customer service was extremely poor and they lost around £70 we would have spent on food and drink. I will never go back again. Even half hour to have a drink and a warm would have been something. Shocking treatment of returning paying guests. Sapey golf course the next day couldn't do enough for us and was absolutely superb.

Your experience is not what we normally deliver in terms of customer service and sorry for this. If you do want to contact me directly please feel free to do so. Regards Jason
"Spacious hotel, good food, great spa area, popular venue for functions"
Lovely setting for this spacious hotel. Fantastic spa with very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Dinner menu varied but expensive given the restaurant surroundings lack character and tables are at eye level with the car park. Understandably popular for weddings and other functions. The Sportsman's Bar is charming but groups using the Elgar Suite, with its own bar, are permitted to use the Sportsman's Bar as well so worth checking what events are on if you are looking for a quieter atmosphere for drinks and food. Close access to the golf club - great for a coffee on the balcony overlooking the course and surrounding countryside.

"Relaxing timeout !"
It's the first time we have visited Bank House Hotel and my husband and I were after a totally relaxing weekend in the Worcestershire countryside. We booked dinner bed & breakfast, we stayed in the 'Mint Suite' and thought it was a really lovely and spacious suite. I booked spa treatments before we arrived which were fabulous, the spa staff were great and we really enjoyed the pool/ jacuzzi /steam / sauna rooms too - would highly recommend. The evening meal was delicious but we found that the dining room lacked atmosphere, it felt like we were in a basement with poor uncomfortable foldaway tables and chairs - it was a real shame. Breakfast was only 'ok' but again in the same dining room and uncomfortable. We enjoyed our stay but if we return we would probably eat out next time due to the dining area. Hotel seems understaffed service is slow at times.

"Great little find"
Good size rooms friendly staff. Great period hotel with lots of character the spa was absolutely superb both Tracey and Karina were great! My wife says thank you. You must try the golf course attached to the hotel SUPERB AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY! Would I stay again? Most definitely!
"Quiet and Relaxing!"
The hotel is really easy to find with a lovely countryside setting. The property is very contemporary inside whilst having a classic looking exterior. Car parking spaces at the front of the property are in abundance. A quick one night stay late booking with my partner after being apart because of work The young girl on reception was very polite and check in straight forward and we were on our way to the room in no time. We were on the second floor and it's a bit of a jaunt to some rooms from the lift through several doors but the room was spacious and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and made for a great nights sleep. There is a restaurant and a bar area which we were made aware of however we only made use of the bar. We did eat within and the food was both well cooked and well priced however the room lacked atmosphere. There were 4/5 other couples in there, some background music really would be an asset to break up those short silences and the carrying of other peoples conversations. There is a spa/pool area but due to our later arrival than planned we didn't use of it. We did take a look though and all looked great. Would happily recommend and return.
"Wedding Anniversary treat"
I stayed here with my wife, taking advantage of the hotels special offer for guests returning to celebrate a wedding anniversary (we were married in the hotel last October), and could not have wished for a better visit. Our room was spacious, modern, freshly decorated and extremely comfortable, we had a very warm welcome and wonderful friendly efficient service throughout. The spa treatments were fully booked for the duration of our stay although we were able to use the pool, gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all of which were in good order, clean and not too busy which we found to be really relaxing. Would like to give special mention to the quality of food we enjoyed on this occasion - both breakfast and our evening meal from the a la carte menu were exceptional. We loved the cod with shredded ham hock in a white wine cream sauce with broad beans and the lamb rump with potato rosti, chargrilled asparagus and crispy sweetbreads followed by a really great cheeseboard, all accompanied by a fine selection of wines. Also the breakfast was marvellous with cereals, fruit & yoghurt, pastries etc. for anyone not tempted by the hot buffet or cooked to order options. Huge thanks to all the team at the bank house who made our 1st anniversary really special. We love the hotel and Spa more with every visit and will definitely be returning again.
"Peaceful Spa"
Visited the spa with a friend on a Saturday - it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what you want! Spas that are part of a health club/gym tend to be noisier so this definitely benefited from being purely a spa. We had lunch included in our package, which was really good and the portions were generous! Being able to have a drink by the pool and in the Jacuzzi was very luxurious. The whole place had a lovely, warm feel to it.
"Non Descript clean Hotel Room with good polite and pleasant staff"
This hotel could be any major brand, there were no differentiating features. It was clean, the bed comfortable, staff polite and efficient, good breakfast in fact everything you could want from the hotel. Just one niggle, there was no soap in the bathroom. The only issue I could see that anyone with mobility issues could not access the spa pool as access could only be via a set of stairs. The food in the restaurant was well cooked standard British fare, must mention the waiting staff whom were excellent. The best way to summerise is that is is an very good transient accommodation rather than being destination.
"Bar food OK but service disappointing"
We had lunch in the Sportsmans Bar and although the food was OK, we were disappointed with the service. Even though we were the only people in the Bar it took 40 minutes for the food to come out. The only hot food was one bowl of soup which arrived without any bread as stated on the menu. The rest of the food was a cream tea which arrived without the tea so we had to ask for it, and an antipasti platter for two. The platter was lovely and was value for money, and the cream tea was a good size although the scones were a little hard.

Firstly, let me apologize for the issues that you incurred during your lunch with us, I appreciate you bringing them to my attention. I alongside the heads of department and their teams will look into the reason for the slow service. Here at the Bank House Hotel we take all feedback seriously, and use this as a tool to look at the procedures and processes we have in place to identify where training is needed. I thank you for your constructive comments, we will work hard on improving and if you are able to visit us again please contact me directly.
"One night stay, one too many"
Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I booked room only due to the times of the breakfast service. Early business meeting in Worcester would have been difficult with the late midweek restaurant times. Poor restaurant provision for an evening meal due to the emphasis on this establishment being on functions and weddings. One staff member informed me the family-run hotel was trying to cut costs. Customer service was cut instead. The room was dirty and stale. On walking into the room I immediately opened the windows and picked up the pieces of plastic and paper on the carpet. I finished making the bed and I am not sure it had been changed. I made the mistake of looking at the mattress. A word of advice to the hotel management; two single beds pushed together do not constitute a double bed. One of the maintenance staff spoke to a colleague in reception and said he had discovered damp in a room and would be back in the spring. Staff morale is obviously very low and totally lacks any pride in their workplace. The hotel was quiet, old-fashioned, tired and dirty. It needs a lot of immediate TLC. The one good aspect was the spa and health centre.
Nigel T, Lynn at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am very disappointed to read this as there has been a lot of investment and work carried out on the hotel and its team over the last 4 years by the owners, (the family), and so it really is the opposite of 'cutting costs'. As you can see from previous reviews, our guests have a great experience with us and so to read this was very surprising. However, all feedback is taken seriously by myself and the team, and this will be thoroughly looked into and re-training will be given where required. I am very sorry for the experience that you feel you have had, would like to discuss this in more detail with you directly, and therefore ask if you can contact me directly at the hotel.
"Weekend with a group"
We came to an AGM at the nearby wholesale nursery. All our rooms were spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very much to my taste although hubby would have appreciated less well done bacon but you can't please all. Good choice at the buffet. Staff attentive. For an evening dinner for 12 of us, the staff kindly arranged a circular table for a better atmosphere. Two weddngs on both nights meant the hotel was very busy but we were still well looked after. The pool was a treat. Would come again.
Nigel T, Lynn at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us, and that you were well looked after by the team. i have passed on your comments to the teams involved. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
"40th Birthday Spa day!"
Well what a wonderful day. The spa was small and very modern. Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, excellent shower. Lovely pool and loungers to relax on in between treatments. 8 of us went for the day and we all came away very impressed. The treatments were all great, we had facials, mud wraps and massages. The service from the staff, Fii in particular was second to none. Very attentive without being intrusive. The lunch was good quality. We had a large glass of champagne that was welcomed. The pool and spa area was clean, modern and warm. A great day with friends and family facilitated by Malvern View Spa, we will be back.
Nigel T, Lynn at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for writing this fantastic review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the 40th celebration with us in the Malvern View Spa. All your lovely comments have been passed on to the team, and we look forward to your return visit.
"Golf Stay"
A group of twelve stayed there from 10th to 12th September to play golf. We were there some 7 years ago and I was a bit apprehensive about returning as it was not a good experience on our last visit. However what a wonderful surprise awaited us. The hotel had been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms were spacious and comfortable as were the beds. The food was excellent so all in all it was worth a return visit. Only one point, there was only 1 key per room, which was at timers quite awkward.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
A brave decision to return and I thank you for doing so. Over the last 3 years considerable investment has not only improved the Golf course but added a first class Spa and refurbished the hotel. This is still ongoing and I hope we see you again next year. Thanks for writing in.
"Shearings coach holiday"
We arrived at the hotel and we were surprised by the size of the hotel, my room was large with a king size bed ensuite with a walk in shower, the only problem was that room number 5 was near a staff door which was very noisy, the meals were excellent and the staff were polite and friendly
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you very much for your comments. I will mention the noise to the staff and hopefully this will not reoccur.
"Quite an average stay"
We stayed at the Bank House Hotel for two nights at the end of August. Sadly I did not feel it lived up to the positive reviews. The room was clean and tidy, but rather dated. If the person in the room next to you was running the tap in their en-suite you could hear it in your room and actually did wake me up on one of the mornings. The food was really nice but the service was so slow, we dined in the restaurant and in the bar for our stay and had to wait over 40 minutes to receive our dinners. At breakfast it took about 20 minutes for the small bowl of porridge I'd ordered off the menu to arrive. Not exactly an involved meal to prepare so slightly disappointed by that. Overall, not a bad stay but not an amazing one either. One area I feel they could improve would be the service in the restaurants.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Many thanks for your review, I do sleep in the rooms so that I may experience the same as our guests and have made a note of the comments you made so that if I come across the same problem we will do our utmost to correct it. We are continuously training our staff in an effort to always improve our service , Thank you.
"Patchy"
The hotel is comfortable enough, although a feather pillow was not available. The problems with breakfast on the Saturday morning were beyond aweful and completely unacceptable. 45 minutes before the end of service there was virtually no food left, even the fruit and yogurts had gone. The staff appear to be willing but very undertrained and probably did the best they could under the circumstances. We were compelled to register a complaint at reception, where upon that evening we were given a couple of drinks vouchers - without an accompying apology. The following morning the breakfast was a little better, but far from good. Our best tip - if you have the time to avoid the buffet, then order from the menu.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
As responded previously I apologise for the service on the Saturday. We did have some staffing issues that week end. I have noted your comment on the pillows, thank you.
"Nice Spa but very average hotel"
My Husband, and daughter and I stayed in one room and my parents also stayed here. We chose this Hotel as it had a swimming pool and we were very impressed with the spa facilities although as we had a child with us then we couldn't use them often. The room was okay, bottom of the single bed was not particularly clean and really very grubby. I also had a problem with the TV as it would not turn on and then it would eventually come on over half an hour later, it was reported to reception but nothing was done about it. The breakfast was nice and one particular member of staff - a young girl was very helpful. There was another of member of staff however I felt when even asked the simplest of questions was inept, which was a bit of a shame.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Jo, tank you for writing your comments and I apologise for the problems you had with the TV and for the fact that we appear not to have responded. Please call me so that I may check on what is an erratic TV. We do check them daily however this does not seem to have been working normally.
"Average Stay - Hotel room great but spa could be so much better."
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst my partner was coaching cricket in the area. On check in, we arrived very late around 11pm. The receptionist was okay, friendly but could have been more helpful with breakfast and check out times etc. We didn't eat at the hotel so couldn't comment on food. The room was really nice. A double bed with a single. Nice big double bed, room was really clean with fresh towels and toiletries supplied on our second day. The only fault I have with the hotel, was that there was a fire alarm which went off at 8am in the morning. We were awoke by the loud noise and ran down to reception but I knew it was nothing to worry about as I heard the receptionist getting told off as she had let the alarm go to full alarm - nothing to worry about, but something us hotel receptionist understand! The spa however was a big let down. We booked the hotel because of the spa, so that I could relax here whilst my partner was working. The pool was freezing cold, the hot tub was not working, and the sauna and steam rooms were also both cold. I myself, having worked at a spa for 2 years, could tell that the sauna and steam room were not at the heat they were meant to be at. The lighting also around the pool area was very bright so it wasn't very relaxing if you wanted to have a nap, and also they were playing very loud pop music! You would expect soothing spa music to be played! The only plus side to the spa, was that the beds around the pool were comfy. Very disappointing as we only ended up spending 20 minutes in the spa when I had intended to spend a full day. I would probably not return to this hotel again in the future, as even though the bedroom was lovely, the spa is very disappointing.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
I must apologise for the fact that you were woken by the fire alarm. This was caused by toast burning and although not badly it was enough to set the alarm. I was surprised to read your comments regarding the Spa. The music normally played has been specific suggested for the Spa . We have not changed the lighting or heating levels and I will be checking to ensure that levels remain the same as they have successfully been set. Regards Nigel
"Good but could be so much better"
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend to be near the Three Counties Showground. The hotel has lots of good points - our room was lovely, the spa was attractive and the reception staff very helpful - we would stay again. The points which were less attractive centre mostly on the catering arrangements. Service in the restaurant was slow and "iffy" on the Friday night but the food itself was good (the kitchen is some way away from the dining room)- Breakfast on Saturday was chaotic, food running out, and cold, several disgruntled diners. . It was better on Sunday and excellent on Monday despite having similar staffing levels, and similar numbers of guests. Overall we liked the hotel, a small improvement in management input would certainly give it a 4* or maybe even a 5*
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Many thanks for your comments , I hope you enjoyed your visit to The Three counties Showground. Nestling just below The Malvern Hills it is an ideal location. I must apologise for the service you received , we did have a few staffing issues over this weekend. I am pleased you enjoyed your meal and room and hope you were able to make full use of the Spa. We look forward to your return. Many thanks nigel
"Wedding"
I attended a wedding at this hotel on 20/8/17 with my disabled husband only to find there was no lifts for him to attend the wedding which was held on the 1st floor { no lifts ? } in this day and age ! very disappointed also my uncle also had problems as he walked with walking sticks, come on bank house get updated putting disabled parking doesn't mean anything if you're restricted to ground floor only.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Jennifer, Thank you for your comments. Since purchasing the Hotel in late 2013 the owners have spent large sums developing the property. This has included a lift to the first and second floors in the newer area of the hotel. From this lift it is possible to get to the room used for our Civil Wedding ceremonies with very limited steps , albeit a longer walk. As this room is in the oldest area of the hotel it is difficult to put in a lift . We do not advertise ourselves as being a Hotel with disabled facilities so as not to disappoint , however do have two disabled cloakrooms and routes with ramps where possible. As we continue to develop the Hotel we will again look to see if there is a way that we can improve the facilities in this part of the Hotel. regards Nigel
"Good hotel and handy for Worcester"
We stayed at the Bank House Hotel for two nights on our way home from Ireland. Was to be one night but pleased with the hotel so stayed two and played golf on their course. The standard room was quite large and decorated okay. Had two chairs to sit but no small table to put the coffee on. Bed was quite comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom had all the usual toiletries. The two receptionists were friendly and helpful. The golf course was well kept but we didn`t find it the most interesting course a little bit up and down as you say. Breakfast was buffet style and cooked breakfast was hot. A radio was in the corner and sending out morning radio, which was not great if you want a peaceful breakfast. Make sure you book direct with the hotel for a cheaper deal and not through Best Western website, a difference of £39 per night.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay. With 14 lakes and two island greens you must have played very well, not to lose a ball on your first visit is commendable. I hope you visit again and should you wish to store your clubs nearer reception we will be happy to assist. Thanks for your comments. Nigel
"Fantastic service and wonderful stay"
I stayed with a group of friends and made dinner reservations for 13. The venue also had a wedding reception at the same time which was of no issue as they provided us with a very relaxed and friendly but also professional service. We dined in the restaurant and everyone enjoyed their meal. The member of staff serving us (sorry can't remember your name) was very professional without making us feel uncomfortable and dealt with our service and orders exceptionally well. Thank you! The grounds are lovely and the property spacious. Rooms very comfortable and the spa facilities were clean and in good working order. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and everyone was left feeling satisfied.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
John , thank you for your review. These are always important to us and help let us know if we are heading in the right direction. So it is very pleasing to read a report like yours . I'm glad you all had a good time and hope you will return in the future. Regards Nigel
"Overnight stay - service slow but food a highlight"
Room was not exciting but good. A little hard to navigate more signage may help. The chef is quite good as the food was excellent however he/she may be understaffed as slow service. The food is one of the strongest features.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments Mike. I will revisit our signage - thanks for the tip. We are relocating and refurbishing the Restaurant which should help improve the speed of service .We hope you will visit when complete, regards Nigel
"Wedding venue"
My husband and I had our wedding here in July and can't rate the hotel highly enough. The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding co-ordinator had everything organised and ensured the day ran without a hitch. The food was fantastic and served quickly and professionally. We are so pleased we chose The Bank House for our wedding and would recommend anyone looking for a venue to choose it. You will not be disappointed. Sonia Shepherd
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Firstly , Congratulations once again on your marriage. Your comments certainly help to uplift the staff all the time, so thank you for taking the time and trouble to write this review. We all enjoy a wedding and seeing everybody having so much fun and I hope this radiated to your guests. There is no greater recommendation than that from the Bride , so thank you very much. May you have a long and happy life together. Kind regards Nigel
"Wedding and overnight stay"
Had the use of a smaller function room for a wedding. It was well decorated and we were well looked after. Afternoon tea was divine! Particularly the gentleman's tea, the scotch eggs were fantastic! Pretty much left to our own devices after that and had a very enjoyable evening. Check in was smooth and our room was a lovely size and very clean. Good selection of teas, coffees and biscuits etc. Breakfast was a very good selection of quality food. Cereals, juice, fruit, yoghurt etc. Hot selection too, you also had the option to order from a menu. Made use of the spa facilities before our 11am checkout. Pool could be used by the children until 10, jacuzzi heavenly. SteM room and thermal showers lovely. Sauna wasn't quite working properly which they apologised for and were getting it sorted. Was definitely worth staying rather than driving home after the wedding.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Emma, Thank you so much for your positive review. I 'm so pleased you had a lovely stay and with comments like that we'll put you on our Marketing team ! Many thanks Nigel
"Under-whelmed - sorry!"
Overnight business trip - selected on basis of a pool but was disappointed it only opened at 7 and not 6:30 like most other hotels - meaning I'd not be away in time. Restaurant/bar and breakfast were blighted by piped commercial radio - not pleasant - and food in evening arrived suspiciously quickly - can only assume it was microwaved. Not a great experience. Room comfortably and WiFi OK - but not good enough to warrant a return visit.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Jon, thank you for your comments. We will review our opening times for the pool. I understand your point regarding the radio and will look at what we provide as many guests prefer it to being quiet. We do not cook anything in the microwave ( of which we only have a small one for heating milk and the like), we are however trying to improve our speed of service due to previous comments - perhaps we over did it this time for which I apologise.
"Amazing experience"
First class facilities and stay for our first wedding anniversary.wonderful spa experience and enjoyable golf course.stayed in the malvern spa suite which has been recently refurbished and was exceptional
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
I'm so pleased you enjoyed your Wedding Anniversary with us and managed both the Spa and Golf ! We hope to see you again. Thank you
"Handy for the Fold"
My girlfriend and I stay here for two nights as we were attending a wedding at Green & Away nearby, and didn't fancy camping there. The hotel is very convenient for the Fold and the Green & Away site - the latter accessed via a track directly opposite the hotel entrance. Our room was lovely - spacious, well fitted and with an absolutely enormous and comfortable bed! The room was spotless and the staff very friendly and helpful. We took dinner and two breakfasts in the hotel. There is a separate vegetarian menu (which worried us at first as the "normal" menu doesn't include any vegetarian dishes) and the starters and main courses were lovely. The dessert was a bit disappointing though - it billed itself as "Eaton[sic] Mess" but was nothing like a proper Eton Mess - so they dropped a point there unfortunately. Breakfast made up for it somewhat as there was a great range of self service hot and cold food on offer and a constant supply of toast and tea/coffee brought to our table. On the whole a great country hotel just outside Worcester. Whilst we were there for leisure at the weekend, I assume they also do a good line in business meetings as it is quite a big venue. One thing I did note was that despite having a large free car park, there didn't appear to be any electric vehicle charging points (or at least none with clear signage). Hopefully that is something they will rectify as destination charging would make it far more attractive to long distance EV drivers.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
What a very positive and helpful suggestion. - yes we will definitely be looking to put in some charging points - thank you. Very sorry about the Eton Mess - we should have high lighted the point that this was a deconstructed Eton Mess and having listened we are now offering the traditional Eton Mess - again , thank you.
"Great Stay"
We stayed for 2 nights on a package with B&B and evening meal on the first night. The reception staff were superb and our room overlooking the cap park on the 1st floor was lovely. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a good selection of toiletries and an excellent shower. The hotel has a lovely Spa, with a steam room, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. The food was very good at breakfast and evening meal. The service in the restaurant was not up to the high standard of the hotel and because of this we decided to eat in the bar area the following evening. The service was very good here and all the staff in the hotel were friendly. We will return to this hotel as it is convenient for excellent walking in the Malvern Hills.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
I'm pleased you were able to enjoy the Spa and the rest of the Hotel. Plans are being drawn up for a full Rest5aurant refurbishment which we hope to have fully operational by the Autumn. Maybe a spot of Golf on you return visit - the course is in fantastic shape!. Thank you for taking the time to write.
"Lovely Spa"
Stayed 2 nights, arriving on 17 July. Decided to spend a bit more than I normally do as it was my husbands birthday. Used the swimming pool in the Spa and this was gorgeous. I feel the Breakfast Staff need a bit of training. When we went in on the last morning there were several items that had not been replenished. My husband asked if there was any more fresh fruit salad to come out. The waitress took a small bowl and came back with the most bruised, horrible looking strawberries. We mentioned this as we checked out and the receptionist did refund the cost of 2 breakfasts
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Happy Birthday to your husband. I'm so sorry about the breakfast. After a very slow start that morning we were suddenly hit and as we try and replenish with food as freshly cooked as possible we got the timing wrong. I'm pleased you enjoyed the Spa and pool. thank you for your comments
"A handy stop when golfing at the course"
The hotel was lovely as I stayed here following a golf day at Bransford GC. The room was clean and lovely, my only criticism was that you needed a degree to work the bath/shower combo taps. Apart from this would recommend for a good nights sleep. I never got the chance to visit the Spa so cannot comment. All the staff were lovely and helpful.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
I will try and take the challenge of the Bath/shower taps out of the stay with more explicit instructions. Thank you for mentioning it . I 'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you will be able to visit again and try our Spa. Many thanks
"Another great few days"
Stayed here last year and had a great experience and you never know if it's a "one off" but no. Just been again on a 3 day golf break and it was even better! The facilities are great and the staff are amazing! Special mention for Catherine in the restaurant but all others were very obliging and friendly. Will definitely be back again next year! Keep up the good work!
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Many thanks for your review, I hope not to many golf balls were lost ! We look forward to seeing you here next year.
"What a Lovely Hotel!"
Stayed for 2 nights as part of a hen weekend. All the staff were lovely and we felt really looked after. The rooms were well decorated and spotless with comfy beds. The spa is great... Again with lovely staff. The only niggle was breakfast time. Good choice and good food. However the staff could do with a bit more training. We had a wait for items of the cooked breakfast to come out one morning, which should be monitored better. My friend asked for tea and was served coffee, twice. The second time, the waitress said "I think this is tea, let me know if it's not"... It was clearly coffee. Overall, a really good stay and I'll be back!
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
So glad you all enjoyed yourselves, you certainly had a fun packed week end and it was good to see a group of friends enjoying themselves. Training is ongoing and I will take your comments on board. thank you.
"Excellent, apart from the chaotic and slow dining service"
We arrived at the hotel on Sat. 8th July as part of a 22-person tour group for a 6-night stay. The hotel looked good from outside, the reception staff were friendly and efficient so we were quickly in our room (103), it was spacious, well appointed, spotless and comfortable, the bathroom was large, very clean and well stocked, the shower was powerful and easy to operate and the free Wi-Fi was very fast 64mbs and allowed multiple devices. During our stay, we spent many happy hours in the superb pool and spa with its steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. The hotel supplied towelling gowns, towels and flipflops. The bar area and staff were first class and we particularly enjoyed sitting out on the lovely terrace overlooking the gardens. The food was of good quality, tasty, well presented, and plentiful. Breakfast had both a continental and full English buffet plus you could order from the a la carte menu. As we were a tour group we filled in the pre-order dinner request at breakfast for our set menu that would be served at 6.30 pm, on it we gave our name and room number. When we entered the dining room at 6.30pm we were told to sit anywhere. The delivery from the kitchen to the dining room was very slow and when it arrived the waiting staff walked around the room carrying 2 plates of food and asking people what they had ordered. If 2 people on the same table had ordered different dishes one could be finished the course before the other had been served. The side dish of vegetables often arrived cold after we had almost finished the main course. Dinner often took 2 hours due to the lack of any organisation. On the last night when we were waiting an hour before anyone was served I went to the desk and asked them to send the General manager to the dining room, when he arrived he quickly saw how chaotic it was. I asked him why they don't allocate specific tables to each couple on arrival so the waiting staff know which pre-order goes to which table. He said he was unaware of the problems we had had all week as the frequent complaints (including those by Neil, our driver) had not been passed onto him. He apologised to all of us and bought us all a drink. It is a pity that such a superb hotel lets itself down by not having a simple procedure for serving food in the dining room.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
As discussed with you and your group, the style and standard of service you received in the dinning room was not in keeping with the service for the rest of the Hotel for which I apologise. I would like to thank you for bringing this to my attention. Whist we have an ongoing training program we will also look at the reasons for the delay in service to ensure we are able to provide a standard in keeping with the rest of the Hotel. I have already addressed a number of the issues and I am confident of an improved operation. I am pleased you enjoyed all other aspects of the Hotel and have passed your comments onto those staff involved.
"Exceeded my expectations"
Stayed for spa night with my daughters. Had interconnecting rooms. Large lovely rooms. Staff were so helpful. Food lovely. Couldn't fault it. The staff in the spa were exceptional.will definitely return.

Quality time with family is hard to beat and I am so pleased we were able to assist in this. Thank you for your review
"Amazing weekend away for family birthday gathering"
we had an amazing weekend at the Bank House. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. It was a special birthday for my wife, so grandparents, sisters, brother-in-laws and cousins all stayed together to enjoy the celebration. We had a great time in the Spa and the pool allows children only between 4pm-6pm, and our children really enjoyed themselves. We had the pool to ourselves for a large part of this time. We ate in the restaurant from the A La Carte menu and the food was superbly well cooked, the Rib Eye steaks were to die for - so tender! Children were allowed to order off the main adult menu just smaller portions were served, or they could order anything they wanted within reason and nothing seemed too much trouble (this beats nuggets, beans and chips which is all you can get for children at most places these days - although I suspect they would have done that too if we had asked). The rooms were large, spacious and well equipped. The family room we had had separate side room for the children, equipped with second TV - kids were happy and we could relax too! Breakfast was also very high standard with loads of choice and a buffet fare and made to order menu option also, if you preferred something a bit special, all within the Bed & Breakfast rate cost! They knew it was my wife's birthday and there were some very nice complimentary touches to make her feel extra special too! We can't rate the hotel, staff, service & food highly enough. We will definitely be booking up again for our next family event!
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you so much for your review. It is extremely important to all the team at the Hotel to receive positive as well as negative reviews as it is important to build on all the good points as well as improve on those not so good. Your family were a pleasure to look after and we look forward to welcoming you back to The bank House for your next event. kind regards,Nigel
"nice hotel not so nice food"
Very impressive from outside,Some Reception staff abrupt , Bar staff very friendly and work very hard Room was ok,asked for an early wake up call but it never happened Breakfast was very poor compared to before used be a self serve breakfast Tea was cold we were given a half slice of brown and a half slice of white toast each The cooked English breakfast (buffet breakfast on the menu card) was only half cooked very disapointing The evening meal we ordered was two steak and ale pies but when it arrived it was ham and leek. This is a nice hotel but the food is not good there is no other food or drink available locally within walking distance
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
I would like to sincerely apologise for the experiences you received , this is not our normal standard of service and I would ask that you contact me so I may discuss this with you further.
"Overpriced and average "
Stayed here for a nearby wedding. Was over £170 for one night but thought it looked lovely and had good reviews thought it would end a great day perfectly. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming, when we got to our room it was nice and modern however there was no air conditioning. It was 30 degrees outside and just 2 tiny windows. Not great but no choice to get on with it. We went down for breakfast the following morning but it was a disaster, I thought I was in a remake of fawlty towers! Despite there being a good supply of buffet food, as previous reviews have mentioned they are bizarrely protective of their toast!! We asked 4 times for some when it eventually arrived we were given 4 slices for a table of 8. Whilst it was laughable just seems crazy not to have a toasting machine like everywhere else. The tea had been brewed so long it looked like coffee, when we complained the lady serving did precisely nothing about it. It was a very disappointing experience that put a dampener in our weekend. We only live 20 miles away and could have had a better nights sleep and breakfast at home, not good when spent over £170 for a 'luxury' experience treat from stopping at home.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to respond. We have had problems with a self serve toast operation and recently changed to making the toast and serving it directly to the customer. We clearly need more training on this and I would like to thank you for pointing this out. Whilst we all enjoy the hot weather we are not geared for the extremes of last week. We do have fans available and I have ensured we have an excess supply of sheets if people would prefer to sleep under a sheet only rather than duvet. Air conditioning in the corridors helps and we have new measures in place should we get a very hot spell again to ensure that the rooms do not get hot as the Hotel gets the Sun throughout the day. Should you wish to discuss this further please call or e mail me. Many thanks
"Average"
Nice Hotel in a great location. All staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed 2 night on a DBB Basis. First night eat in main restaurant. No music no atmosphere and the service was so slow it took 2.5 hours for a 3 course meal. The meals on the first night were very average. Staff worked hard but not enough to manage the service. Breakfast excellent. Night 2 eat in the Bar area. Food again very slow in delivery and was very average. Had a feeling of mass produced food. On a plus note the Spa is superb, one of the best in any UK Hotel we have stayed in. In conclusion staff superb but food very average and the kitchens are a long way from where it is finally served.
Nigel T, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Martin G , I appreciate you bringing the issues with our food to my notice. We normally have music in the restaurant, which early evening helps with an empty restaurant until others arrive. We will look long and hard at the reason for the slow service and content. I am pleased you enjoyed the Spa , and I have also passed on your comments regarding the staff. thank you for your constructive comments, we will work hard on improving and if you are able to visit us again please contact me .
"Great golf break and very good course and hotel."
Lovely hotel ,clean and very comfortable with a excellent team of staff.Food in general very good but same limited menu in restaurant over the 5 nights we stayed.Busy at weekend and unable to eat in restaurant the Sunday night as vintage car rally people took over. Unfortunately these people also took over the bar area, we spent a very uncomfortable meal with some loud enthusiast's literally squashed on the bench beside me.However the golf was great .A good and challenging course equally frustrating as well as rewarding for accurate shoots.Loved it.
"Well appointed hotel in stunning location"
I do stay in hotels a lot as part of my job and I needed a hotel near Worcester which is where we found the Bank House Hotel. Its very well appointed, it even has a Gym! My room was very spacious and well decorated and well appointed. The view to the surrounding hills was a bonus and its very quiet which is good. I did eat at the Hotel and the food was good which helps as its a little of out town and if you don't want to travel out in the evening its good to have good food on site. Parking is plentiful and the staff were friendly so I would definitely stay again and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
"Golf Weekend"
Yearly golf weekend and chose due to TripAdvisor reviews ans interesting course layout. Hotel - check in staff very pleasant and professional. Stayed on a Breakfast and evening meal basis and food of decent quality, only slight downside on the Sunday morning when it was busy we were were only given 1 slice of toast, when we asked for another one we were told no !!! Dinner - decent standard but on Saturday the sticky toffee pudding morphed into a chocolate cake . Bar area good but despite being a "sports" bar there was no Sky Sports but that option was on offer on the golf club . Free wifi which was a decent speed. Rooms excellent, shower powerful Didn't use spa so can't comment Overall a good hotel, excellent staff from reception, bar and cleaning
"Wedding Party"
A wonderful nice and peaceful hotel. Great accommodating staff. I wish I had the money to use the spa treatments because they looked wonderful but I was only on a one night stay. The breakfast was served fresh and hot with waitresses around to get your toast. Coffee etc. The room was nice and peaceful. A lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff were phenomenal whilst tending to my best friends wedding. The reception was wonderfully presented and the staff didn't disturb us at all. They were lovely, polite and very pleasent. My only dampener and to be honest it's nobody's fault, was that the lift was out of order. This meant to get to my room was quite a far way and was very tiresome when carrying my bags. I knew there were some elderly guests who had great difficulty using the stairs. Hopefully the lift can receive its maintenance as soon as possible. Will return in the future. Would love to come back :)
"Overnight stay"
Part of the Best Western chain. We have stayed in their hotels in Florida and were not disappointed with the standards here.Chose it to break up a journey from Cornwall to the North of England. Arrived on a hot sunny day and had a superb afternoon tea on the lawn Good selection of sandwiches and cakes.Checked in a ground floor room adequate furnishings with a very comfortable king bed and a nicely appointed bathroom. Visited the spa for a swim - very nice pool and my wife also tried the sauna Jacuzzi and wetroom. Had dinner in the restaurant but dim lighting drawn blinds at 7.30 pm and lack of atmosphere did not make for a pleasurable experience although the food was good.Staff very friendly.Would stay again
"Staff first class"
Attended a wedding this weekend here and had a 2 night stay. Staff, room, food, parking all excellent. I'd stay again in a heartbeat and will be back. Sitting on the terrace Friday afternoon was heaven.
"Friendly and relaxing"
Enjoyed pleasant three night DBB stay with friends. The executive rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The food was very good and the Spa facilities were top notch. Above all the staff were friendly and attentive, will definitely return
"Great overnight stay"
I had booked this hotel for an overnight stay in Malvern. When we were arrived, we were greeted at reception and my request for views over the hills to the rear of the property were granted. We checked in and went to the room, which was a very good size. Once checked in, we decided to use the on-site spa facilities which are free for guests (you have to pay for any treatments but I believe you do get discount). The spa was welcoming and not too busy, the staff there gave us a guided tour and we made the most of it. Towels, robes and flip flops were all included and made life a lot easier. The bed was good and comfortable enough and we both had a decent nights sleep. Location-wise, the hotel is near to Worcester and Malvern. I would stay again if we were in the area and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
"Enjoyed very Much"
Just enjoyed an overnight stay on a golf, dinner, bed and breakfast package. The hotel was a pleasure to stay in and every member of staff that I came into contact with was more than pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to the young lady who was kind enough to show us around the spa and swimming area, she even encouraged us to test out the creams and oils but no pressure to purchase. We spent a relaxing few hours using the pool and spa facilities after our game of golf. The overall feel of the hotel is warm cosy, clean and very welcoming. On our room I must say it was such a change to have something as simple as a teapot, I hate making a cup of tea with the bag having to go into the cup rather than a tea pot. So to me this was the attention to detail that a lot of hotels are leaving out. Being on a dinner package most hotels spend a lot of time telling you what you can and can't have from the menu, unless of course you want to spend more money, we were given the menu and told to choose whatever we wanted. Again what a pleasant change. I will use this hotel again
"Lovely hotel however...."
Stayed here on the night of the 3rd June 2017 as an anniversary getaway with my wife. Arrived at the hotel and was very impressed with the look of the hotel. We were staying using our Best Western Rewards points and some funds on a couple of Best Western gift cards. Having spoken to the hotel on numerous occasions, this didn't seem to be a problem. However on arrival at the hotel the receptionist said that they couldn't accept the gift cards. So I left my wife sitting in the reception whilst I phoned best western, only to discover that the manager had come out to say that they could redeem them and all was okay. Not good on the receptionists part, maybe ask a colleague first before just saying no?? On a positive, the room (willow suite) was fantastic, as was the pool/spa. My wife is pregnant, so the young chap on the bar that night (think his name was Ben) offered to Google some non alcoholic cocktail recepies, which was a nice touch. On check out, again more issues with the same receptionist! He at check in, along with best western on the phone, had failed to inform me of a £5 charge for the room. I know it's only a fiver but the room was meant to be entirely covered by my points! All in all a good stay, but a little staff training would go a long way!
"Morning Coffee and catch up with friends"
What a lovely well kept and spacious venue. The super friendly staff and comfortable setting was a great place to have coffee and catch up. Easy to find, lots of car parking and good coffee! The venue is a golf course, numerous function rooms and a large number of rooms. We just used the bar facility which was very nice. The toilet facilities were very clean and the whole venue has been recently decorated. So well done Bank House!
"Fantastic hotel & Staff "
Stayed here last night and have to say it was a massive improvement on the hotel I stayed at the night before. Bank House staff not only did they make me feel welcome from the start could not have been more helpful... room was big and ensuite had a bath.. on way out I stoped at breakfast room as I had booked Only room but was wondering if I should have breakfast... I didn't in the end but it was so nice to be offered coffee in the breakfast room.. both reception girl and girl in breakfast room were fantastic.. credit to your hotel
"A great deal......"
Two nights away and would recommend destination for a relaxing break, Spa outstanding in every way. All staff very helpful and positive .Big thank you to you all, super team work. Andrew, Jackie and Molly.
"Fantastic experience"
All the hotel staff and management across all departments of the hotel were very warm, friendly and welcoming. They couldn't do enough to make our stay one of the best we have had in many years. The gents played golf on the superbly managed course, while the ladies enjoyed the facilities of the spa. They said that all the spa facilities were beyond excellent and they are looking forward to the next time we stay here, and have already planned which treatments to have! We can't rate the experience highly enough but we would encourage anyone travel to Worcester to stay at the Bank House.
"Stunning place!"
My uncle bought my mom a spa break as her 50th birthday present with a second guest, so I tagged along. Absolutely stunning hotel, facilities all amazing. Lovely staff, and overall just a wonderful experience.
"A Cracking Deal apart from the Eggs"
I was looking for a location for my brother and I to meet for an overnight stay and a couple of games of golf. Last year we went to the Cotswolds and ended up in a conference centre which lacked a bit of refinement. This year was far better... Admittedly we had two real great days weather wise which is never the cause or blame of the hotel you stay in however so many reports seem to blame hotels for bad weather! My brother and I met in the morning and reported into the reception however we were aware that we wouldn't be able to check in until later although the receptionist did offer to take our bags to they were in our rooms when we finished our first game of golf. The Bransford Golf Club is affiliated to the Hotel and was very accommodating and helpful when we arrived for our first game. My brother and I are not great golfers but enjoyed the course despite the large amount of water here and there. After the game and a quick check in at the hotel we agreed to a couple of swift drinks in the Sportsmans Bar before heading to the Spa. The Bar had a lovely terraced area which was in its element because of the weather. The interior however was a bit basic and uninviting. It could do with some stools against the bar and some sporting memorabilia around the place (or change the name!). We have already taken a quick look at the Spa earlier so knew where it was and what to expect. We were provided a locker which contained a robe, towel and flip flops. The pool was good with loungers set out at the back to take it easy. At the end of the pool the window gives a great view out to the Malvern Hills as well. We had a spell in the Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna all of which were good. Although we had booked a table in the restaurant we decided to eat on the terrace of the Sportsmans Bar instead which was a great idea as the evening was cool and comfortable. Our stay included an amount towards the evening meal each which was easily accommodated in the prices for each course. We adjourned for our separate rooms at about 11pm and this was the first time we had really been in the bedroom since arrival. It was spacious, a small window looking over the Malverns, a very large bed, bathroom with a bath and shower. A surprising omission was a fridge which would have been welcomed as I had a few bottles of water which I wanted to chill down before the following mornings game. Nevertheless the room and bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was expected until the fire alarm went off..... What do you do in these occasions - especially when you are half asleep and have nothing on (?!). After a short time (which did seem forever at the time) the alarm went off so I called reception who assured me it was an error and apologised for the confusion. If it had been 3am I might have felt differently however it didn't really spoil my sleep although it did cause a bit of panic at the time! The morning in a hotel is always a fun time because it involves breakfast so my brother and I went in search of the restaurant to find it fairly full of residents already. The situation was a classic help yourself set up however with a menu saying if you wanted something cooking fresh they would do that. I took the option of asking for two fried eggs whilst selecting everything else from the heated receptacles. I headed back to the table we had chosen expecting to receive the eggs shortly however that wasn't the case. The whole breakfast I had chosen had already been eaten and my plate was empty and still no sign. I decide to make an enquiry to be told they were busy in the kitchen and they were being done. I went to the toaster to get two slices of toast and went back to my table still waiting. The eggs finally arrived, I reckon 15 minutes after I first ordered them. This isn't good enough I'm afraid and although I may sound "picky" if the hotel is going to advertise such a service it should be able to deliver OR take it off the menu and I would have had the scrambled eggs that were readily available. We weren't in a hurry or anything so it wasn't any big deal but when you want to compare hotels then these things can matter to some people. Once we'd finished breakfast it wasn't long before we were checking out and heading to the golf club for our second game. All in all we both agreed it was a good stay, and offered good value for money for the "one night B&B plus evening meal and two rounds of golf offer" we had. Aside from that it is well located to get into Worcester as well as into the beautiful Malvern Hills.
"Spa day"
Have been meaning to post a review since a fabulous day at the spa in April! A group of nine of us enjoyed a fantastic day to celebrate an upcoming wedding (too old for hen do's!) and had the most perfect day, followed by a lovely afternoon tea in the hotel lounge. The spa staff were incredibly helpful from the first phone call, booking and organising and throughout the day itself, thanks particularly to Tracey the manager and Roxanne too. The facilities were spotless, with robes and flip-flops, lunch was delicious and the treatments delightful. Lots of lovely extras, smoothies whilst filling in health forms, sorbets after treatments, face creams and scrubs to try, hot towels to freshen up, etc..... All in all, a great experience and highly recommended! We have just booked again for July!!
"Wi-Fi needs sorting but good overall"
Great location, yes it's on a roundabout but I didn't notice any noise. I was upgraded to an executive suite, very spacious, clean and the bed was very firm which ticks all my boxes! Reception were very courteous and helped me out with a dental kit as I'd forgotten my toothbrush. Restaurant staff were very helpful, food was lovely. Trust me, you are gonna want to try the oxtail soup, that was amazing! The only downside was the wi-fi, I get getting kicked out and the signal wasn't strong enough for live sports streams.
"Lovely Spa Day"
We enjoyed a wonderful "my day my way" spa experience. The highlight was the treatment that we both had. Karen enjoyed a 1hr full body massage & I had a neck, back and scalp massage followed by a facial. We both also enjoyed the lovely lunch and using the spa facilities. This was our second visit and we intend to return!
"Flower Power..."
A convenient location for the 3 Counties Show Ground with plentiful parking, a lovely location and, above all, away from the crowds. We chose a standard room, which had all of the necessary facilities (including an excellent shower). We only had a view of the carpark but considering that we were out all day this was immaterial. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. The dinning room was fine for breakfast but we felt lacked the intimacy that would have been nice at dinner. In the event we chose to eat in the bar and we very pleased with our choices and the opportunity to chat to other guests who were also visiting for the Malvern Flower Show. The service and welcome at this hotel were excellent, it has a very relaxed atmosphere and we will certainly stay here again. Our sole disappointment was the provision of a single small bottle of drinking water, supposed to last two guests for two nights, a small thing but would have enhanced our stay. There is a spa/pool, we didn't use this due to time constraints but other guests said they found it very good. There is also an adjacent golf course.
"Oh for a bigger bathroom !"
We chose Bank House as a base when visiting the Malvern Show. It was conveniently located, has good access from the main road and spacious parking. Reception was welcoming and professional. Our room was "OK"; good size, clean and functional - but the bathroom - although modern and sparklingly new - was very small and out of proportion to the room. Certainly only space for one person at a time. According to the floor plan most other rooms had similar sized bathroom. The dining room was another odd feature - strangely located and lacking much natural light or atmosphere. Service was efficient and friendly but main course took a very long time. However, the quality of all the food was excellent - far better than we had expected, and worth the wait. Wine was inexpensive and served well chilled. We didnt have time to use the Spa or Golf Course, both of which looked nice. We liked our stay quite a lot.
"My stay at the Bank House Hotel"
Can't wait to return. The Spa facilities and location of the Hotel were excellent! Food and service was also very good. I stayed on Business and it is one of the most relaxing stays I have experienced, thank yo.
"Golf weekend"
29 ladies from mid Bucks descended on this lovely venue for a weekend of fun, socialising, golf and all round escapism. We were not disappointed. Rooms were clean and comfortable, all of the staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome.
"Therapeutic"
Me and my partner stayed here yesterday and I can not begin to say how relaxed we feel. With check in at 3 we had a long period of time to then explore and make use of all the hotels luxury facilities. The 40 degrees Jacuzzi along with the steam room, sauna and pool made a perfect relaxing stay to then lay in a lovely big bed. I can't compliment the staff and the hotel itself enough and I will hopefully be re-visiting again shortly.
"Contact the Elderly Afternoon Tea"
I volunteer for Contact the Elderly taking elderly guests out to hosts homes for afternoon tea once a month, sadly we don't have enough hosts and fortunately the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf came to our rescue but offering to host a wonderful afternoon tea for several guests and volunteer drivers. It was an exceptional service and beautiful afternoon tea made with care and dedication.
"Spa and pool and excellent addition"
The staff are friendly, the room clean and well presented and the spa is a great addition - definitely get up early to enjoy the peace and quiet. We even managed a coffee on the terrace in the sun after our pampering one morning. Parts of the hotel are being refurbished - which is necessary as some parts look a little tired. Has a nice bar but it needs more soft comfy chairs to give more appeal. Didn't eat breakfast there but walked over the road to The Fold for a much cheaper option. Good place to stay for seclusion and close proximity to the Malvern hills.
"Nice over night stay"
The hotel and rooms aren't quite as posh as they look in the pictures but the hotel, in parts, is nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Rooms include iron, ironing board, toiletries, hair dryer, lots of wardrobe space and a medium size tv. The drinks selection is varied including green tea, earl grey and Cadburys hot chocolate. The rooms are nicely decorated but there were a few marks and scratches on the walls. The beds were comfy and it was quiet. There is plenty of free parking.
"Nice enough hotel with few flaws"
The good bits - the room was very large (executive), the bed comfortable and there was ample parking. we made use of the pool, which was very nice, although the steam room / sauna area was very basic. We booked a special package which included dinner, breakfast and Easter eggs, although the latter was not provided and we had to request them! We had our dinner in the bar, which was average bordering on disappointing (particularly the desserts which actually tasted flavourless and not fresh) and, upon check out, had been charged to our bill (despite being included) along with someone else's drinks bill! Whilst this was rectified when challenged, we wouldn't have thought that, at the very least, we would not have been charged for the one bottle of water we had put on our room bill as an apolog, however this was not the case and £3.50 was duly paid! Breakfast was nice on day 1, however, on day 2, there was no hot buffet and the omelette ordered was not well cooked. Generally, the staff we encountered were, in the main, very young and quite inexperienced, which led to a less than satisfactory experience. Finally, the decor is very dated.
"Nice stay"
Friendly staff and nice service. Rooms were clean. Nothing fancy but I give it an extra point for the spa and gym. Breakfast was decent but we did not dine there. I wish I would have been able to play the golf course. Maybe next time.
"What a wonderful wedding April 2017"
We visited this complex for a friends wedding, we arrived Saturday morning and stayed until breakfast in Monday. Huge, well maintained car park, patios, gardens, 18 hole golf course, pool, spa, treatment rooms, quiet seating areas, excellent venue for weddings, corporate events etc. Lots of seating areas to relax in. Excellent reception, seven of us, four rooms, booked in and luggage dealt with promptly. All our rooms were next to each as requested. Visited the pool, towel, flip flops, robe all Supplied. Other members of our party had a little boy 15 months, he was only allowed in for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon, which wasn't a problem but you should be aware. Very helpful spa staff. Rooms - all the rooms we had were doubles with an additional large single. Full size wardrobe, bedside tables, large dressing table, stool, one easy chair, blackout curtains. Lovely big opening windows, we were at the back of the hotel, nice and quiet, Wedding in ceremony room, beautiful, sit down meal in large dining room just off reception with bar, then after two hours relax, room set up for evening, a magical disco and pig roast. Staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, even moving a chair from the bar into reception for a lady with mobility issue. A member of staff rang a local pub and booked us a table for sat evening! There is a ramp from reception to a lift that goes to all floors.
"Weekend stay"
Smashing hotel, great for parking, spacious bedroom, excellent spa and pool. Welcoming bar, staff were friendly, polite and helpfull, a lovely stay for my 40th wedding anniversary. A good selection of breakfast, and other choices available on the menu
"Short notice booking"
We had to make an urgent trip to Worcester and picked this hotel as we had been to a function a few years ago. We were very pleased with our choice. On arrival we had to wait about 50 minutes for our room to be finished so we relaxed on the veranda outside the Spa after our 3 hours journey. Our room was very spacious (no air con) with plenty of wardrobe space, well appointed bathroom, and a large double bed. We ate in the dining room with members of our family and all agreed that the food was excellent, although not a huge choice on the menu. The breakfast was also good. Service was excellent and we will certainly book again.
"Bank on a good nights stay!"
We booked this hotel just for a couple of nights for a short break. I chose one of their Executive rooms. On arrival, we were greeted by reception and after a few minutes dealing with cards and paperwork we were handed our key. The room was spacious and clean throughout with nothing to complain about as such. However, the fan in the bathroom was very noisy and my wife reported this to reception. The whole fan was replaced the same day! The magazines and house book was on the desk. I removed these and had a good read through everything. My wife noticed that where I had removed these from the area was clean so the rest of the desk was quite dusty. Finally, the rather antique style chair in the corner of the room had some of the piping hanging off. The restaurant was very clean and well appointed. The waitress was very nice indeed and nothing was too much trouble. My wife asked for a Gluten free roll which was supplied and she enjoyed. Shortly after sampling the roll the chef came out of the kitchen to discuss my wife's order! He was genuinely concerned with her order as she was Gluten free. We ordered the Prawn & Crayfish Tian which was really lovely. My wife had Beef cheeks which she said were delicious. I had Hake. This was the biggest piece of Hake I have ever seen and it was also delicious. The accompanying veg was excellent. We slept very well indeed. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was good. We got the impression that this was going to be a buffet but each order was cooked fresh. I had Eggs Benedict which I enjoyed although the sauce was very tart with vinegar. My wife had Bacon & Eggs, one of the eggs was broken and the white was slightly burnt round the edges. My wife took advantage of the Malvern View Spa for a Hot Stone Massage. She said this was excellent and again the staff were very nice indeed. She was advised that this was the "massage of the month" which carried a special offer of a glass of Prosecco and a sharing platter for two. This was really enjoyable and quite unexpected. Dinner and Breakfast the following night and on the day we left was also very good indeed. Lovely hotel and staff, we will certainly be going back again.
"Really Nice Medium Size Hotel with Excellent Facilities"
Didn't have breakfast but did have an evening meal, and the chef altered some of the vegetarian dishes so that they were vegan and they were very good. Staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. Fabulous room, had the exec double which was very large as was the bathroom with bath and shower. It was obvious it had just been refurbished and it was done very well. There was a wedding on the one night we were there but it didn't impact on our stay at all. Had a treatment in the Spa which again was excellent. Can't wait to go back. A short walk from the hotel is The Fold with a café and small individual shops. We had some excellent food in the café and I had my hair done in the Cutting Room!
"Bank Hotel and Spa"
A wonderful stay. The staff were very pleasant, the room extremely clean and very spacious. The pool was lovely, just a shame such restricted times for children to use. The breakfast was plentiful and the cooked extremely hot which is always a pleasant surprise.
"Beautiful Hotel"
I have stayed at the Bank House virtually every week since the start of the year as working nearby. Every room is well presented and furnished. The bathrooms are all white tiled and the showers are excellent. All rooms have tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and until this week in Room 105 plenty of spare plug sockets for phones and laptops etc. Breakfast I find is good at 7am when the restaurant opens, I wish it was earlier as I am an early bird there is plenty of choice, with most days a buffet style hot and cold breakfast options, they also have a cook to order service for porridge, kippers, poached eggs etc. The bar is lovely area to sit in. The spa is delightful and relaxing and the staff are always helpful and welcoming in all areas. The only downside to this hotel which would make it exceptional is the restaurant. It lacks imagination the ambience is wrong as it's set up with conference style tables and chairs, the decoration is perfect for a breakfast room with its spring colours but not very good for creating an atmosphere for dining, there is no visual bar in this area and is rarely busy. I have been eating from the same menu for almost 4 months, the meals are nice enough, I havent had anything awful, however the location of the hotel is perfectly set in an agricultural area, there should be creativity and pride in using local seasonal produce and weekly specials available to reflect this. Having said this I think the price of the menu reflects the fact that they realise it's not the perfect ambience. The restaurant did look better for the Valentines day menu, which I assume would also be the case for most special occasions such as Mothers day and Easter.
"Excellent afternoon tea"
Visited today for afternoon tea for my Husbands birthday.. Excellent! Good choice of sandwiches and cakes. Very attentive service and made to feel special.. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very efficient. Would recommend this for a special event.
"Let's meet again!"
We had a very enjoyable stay for a University reunion of old friends. The quality of the accommodation was, in general, very high and the amenities excellent. Despite the fact that there were several big functions taking place the same weekend, the staff were unfailingly helpful and cheerful. Even last minute changes were dealt with calmly! Pre-planning was efficient and made the weekend run smoothly. We are hoping to repeat the visit in the future.
"spa day"
I visited the Spa on Monday 21st November with my daughter. we had a lovely day. spa was excellent . all the staff were really lovely . I had a facial which was done by one of the therapist called Tammy, she was excellent . Overall my daughter and I would certainly go back, and recommended it to all my friends and family. thank you all for a lovely relaxing day. Maria and sarah
"Girls day out"
Last minute booking for a Spa dy for myself and my daughters, we struggled to find anywhere until we came across the Bank House Hotel and Spa. I can honestly say for someone who has had the good fortune to have experienced quite a few Spa days over the years this was by far the best Spa I have ever experienced. The staff were brilliant, the surroundings were fresh, very clean, and a pure delight to spend the day in. It is truly a hidden gem in Worcestershire. With the hotel on-site it gives you the flexibility to travel or just come for the day. The package was for 10am - 4pm, with a light lunch, 2 x 30 minute treatments and full use of the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi = £95. We never felt rushed, there were really lovely extras that came with the day which really helped to enhance the wonderful experience. A big thank you to all the staff especially Tammie.
"Lovely visit. We will be back!"
As a frequent national traveller, I generally only take the time to write a review for stand out service. I cannot recommend the hotel and its facilities enough. Each and every member of staff we encountered were friendly, polite and genuinely seemed to be pleased to be there. The spa facilities and staff knowledge are second to none. Very clean, comfortable and luxurious. The treatments are great value for money. Although we didn't have an afternoon tea, the scones we saw others having looked very appetising. A great spot to spend time in and explore the area. Thanks Bank House.
"A satisfactory visit"
A good hotel with friendly staff, food is good, but room for improvement, I think they are aware that a little extra effort would really deliver rewards. A good breakfast. We did not have time to use the very nice spa and pool. There is lots of parking.
"Our wedding! "
Me and my husband got married in the bank house on the 23/10/2016 and I honestly cannot say enough about this amazing venue! You were nothing but helpful from our first stay to our wedding day itself, nothing was ever too much trouble and you always answered any questions quickly. We had quite a lot of family and friends stay over as we are not from the area and everyone was looked after so well! Even moved our luggage on our wedding day when we were having a great day! Everyone commented on the food on the wedding day and said it was the nicest lamb they have had, there was a lot of it and all piping hot. The buffet in the evening was the best one that I have ever had. Great selection of drinks and cocktails. My only complaint was that we had a meal on the Saturday evening and our food choices were not given to the chef so we waited for an hour and a half for our food - however when this came it was gorgeous and the hotel done everything they could to sort it out as quickly as possible. I cannot thank Mark enough for all his help through all the wedding planning he is fantastic at his job ??
"Truly wonderful spa experience"
My sister and I visited the spa for a day. Beautiful spa facilities with wonderful staff who made our day really special. My treatments were bliss, back massage best I have had, face massage was super. My sister had a face massage and manicure, both of which were also superb. Products are available to buy and we both bought products as we were so pleased with treatments. Lunch excellent, tasty food well presented, service excellent.. Left feeling extremely pampered and spoilt, will certainly go again.

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the spa facilities, the treatments and the products. We look forward to your return visit.
"Awful stay"
I booked this hotel for my partner and I for his birthday and was hugely disappointed even upon arrival. I feel that the photos online are a complete misrepresentation of how the hotel actually looks and feels. The hotel is very old fashioned and lacks any kind of atmosphere. After eating out of the hotel for lunch, we used the spa which I have to say was excellent and Roxy, as I believe was the name of the woman in the spa, was exceptional - far too good for the hotel. We had a completely awful meal in the restaurant with many things going wrong throughout the course of our dinner and told the restaurant manager, who served us personally for the rest of the night. He too was superb, however our stay was completely ruined. Missing main courses, undercooked fish, appalling waitress service and unclean plates were just a few of the problems we encountered. When checking out the next morning, I was not asked how my stay was, nor was I thanked for my payment or for staying at the Bank House. There was also no recognition or apology of what had happened to us the night before at dinner. Upon getting home, I promptly emailed the General Manager, and apologies were made and some compensation was acknowledged, however a small refund will not make up for our truly awful stay. It ruined my partner's Birthday and there is absolutely no way we will be returning here, and the only recommendation of the hotel we will give is to not stay here.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. As I have already discussed with you, we take all feedback seriously here at the Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club, and I once again apologise for the experience you have had.
"Wonderful Chill out Experience"
My friend and I visited the Spa for an afternoon of pampering....we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived the minute we left everything was effortless. Tracey and the team gave us first class treatment. I had a 30 minute back massage which was just wonderful, Just the right pressure and beautiful products (which you can purchase at reasonable prices). The poolside area has plenty of comfortable loungers and chairs and a fantastic view of the Malvern Hills, there's also jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (we used all of them)....you'd struggle not to unwind here. To finish off we had a wonderful afternoon tea, delicious sandwiches and fluffy scones with cream and jam....yum, yum!!! I can thoroughly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

"Unbelievable service and food!"
Have never eaten such poor value food! Cold soup, god knows what flavour it was supposed to be, cold mashed potato, smallest piece of dry chicken I've ever seen, rock hard uncooked broccoli, overcooked mangetout - carrots were nice though - and then to top it all - a portion of apple pie that was burned underneath with cold custard! Had to ask for gravy and then wait 5-6 minutes for it, when it arrived it smelt just like it had come out of a tub of gravy granules! Will have to think very hard before I darken these doors again! Seriously!

"Absolutely Stunning "
We booked a two night stay here at the beginning of November. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed we encountered extremely attentive and very friendly staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable with beautiful views of the Malvern Hills. All meals were of an exceedingly high standard. The bar was very cosy with a log burner ensuring we spent both nights stay in there. The Spa was absolutely stunning this included a Steam Room, Sauna, Jacuzzi and a fabulous Swimming Pool. With a huge selection of Spa treatments available two days just weren't enough, however my wife thoroughly enjoyed her one “Workout” massage. Will be recommending and hopefully visiting again very soon

"2 night stay to visit the area"
Hotel was comfortable with pleasant and efficient reception staff. The room was very good and spacious, as we were given an upgrade to executive room. Restaurant a little disappointing - no character and service not very accurate with our menu/wine selection. It was very much a basic hotel dining room experience
"coffee with my old friend on my 50th birthday"
my friend and I used to go their well before it was a hotel and have good memories. staff good, food great. we were telling some of the staff what it was like. the hotel is really friendly. the coffee is well very very good. and the view to see the Malvern hills is great.
"Lovely weekend in a very nice friendly hotel"
I guess you can tell how a hotel is run by how happy the staff seem to be and in this case we can only assume the Bank House hotel is very well run indeed. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, from the folks on reception to the bar & restaurant staff, even the guy sweeping up the leafs was whistling !!! The view from the room to the car park at the front wasn't that exciting, but then we didn't book to sit in the room and look out of the window! My wife enjoyed the Spa, the bar & restaurant were comfortable and the food very nice and good value. There was plenty for breakfast and a reasonable choice. Around the hotel there wasn't much nearby, but again, we didn't book because we wanted stuff nearby! Altogether, we were really happy for a Saturday to Monday weekend here and would be really pleased to go back again.

"FRAUD FRAUD FRUAD"
So I booked this hotel on bookings.com, I checked in at this hotel on a Monday night at 1am was checked in by the night staff they took my card for pre authorisation. I then left on Tuesday and later that day was charged double the amount I booked the hotel for. The payment on my bank statement came up with a different name when I called my bank they said it was a hotel I then assumed it was banks as this is the only hotel I stayed at. I called the receptionist and she told me she charged me by accident. so they basically used my card details that I provided to them to go and charge me double hoping I wouldn't realise. The moral of this story is do not give your card details out to them or any sensitive information as they are a fraud hotel. they use your card details and charge whatever they feel like. I am now in the process of suing this hotel as they have used private information and entered in there database to charge me more. Iv never experienced this before in my life and I wont stay here again. they are a FRAUDELENT company. BEAWARE BEFOR BOOKING. in terms of hygiene the toilet was not clean at all it had poo stains from the person before. when I told the housekeeping they said theyl clean It but didn't come back.
"Excellent overnight stop"
Stayed for one night to break up a long journey. East to get to because not too far from the M5 and M50. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Clean and well appointed room. Swimming pool a bonus. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Will stay again.

Thank you for writing this great review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you liked the accommodation and pool areas. We look forward to your return visit.
"A Soulless Hotel"
I booked my stay on the strength of other reviews for this hotel and can only guess I was unlucky. On entering the vast lobby there was one very alone Receptionist kept company by a very small pumpkin flickering away on the reception desk a week before Halloween. The bedroom was of a large size and is functional but with no warmth or character. The walls are paper thin and the next door bathrooms extractor fan ran all night. The beds urgently need new mattresses (Room 220). The gym is locked at 8pm I found out after finding it hidden away on the 1st floor. As for dinner, I walked into the bar no one there to serve so I sat at a table and waited after 10 minutes I Googled where to eat locally and went to an excellent pub a mile down the road. Breakfast in the morning is in a disused function room with no signage on how to find it. It's one of those chaffing dish operations with dried out bacon and boiled sausages that have sat there for hours. The staff are more interested in getting ready for lunch rather than serving the few guests in the room. I'm only sorry I did not choose another hotel to stay in.

"Family function/Anniversary"
The rooms in this hotel are very good and excellent value. Reception and bar staff really, really pleasant and very helpful. We didn't use the Spa but those in our party that did said it was very good. The breakfast was buffet style and quite good and you can ask staff for other thing such as toast from the kitchen, poached or fried eggs and omelettes with various fillings. For main dining, the restaurant lets the hotel down. We made staff aware of our disappointments and, following incidents in that part of the hotel during our stay, we chose to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary in the nearby Chef and Brewer in which we were not disappointed. We have been told the Management are going to review and restructure their Restaurant, it certainly needs it. My rating for overall service has been tempered by our dining experience in the restaurant.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review

All departments/areas of the hotel are under constant review as we strive to improve the products and services that we offer our customers. All feedback is important to us, as it assists us in carrying this out. It is discussed with the departmental managers, and their teams and relevant training staff training and process review comes as a result of this. I am glad that you found the hotel itself and the staff helpful and hope that this will not deter you from a future visit.
"Golf Weekend"
We stayed here end of September/beginning of October weekend. Good golf course, nice hotel, nice rooms, nice food albeit I thought the set menu evening meal could have been a little larger as I'm sure we were served on child sized plates. I do have a healthy appetite! Other than that you get exactly what you pay for.
"No Method"
For all the good things to say about the Bank House Hotel , Spa , Swimming Pool and nice rooms, we were disappointed by the complete lack of method by this hotel to operate an organised meal for a party of 18 persons. The allocation of the Boardroom was in principle the wrong location for a party and the lighting was very uncondusive for a dining area. The most difficult part was the lack of warm food, some raw ? The menus were given ready made from us a week before! The food arrived in twos every 5 minutes meaning that people were not eating together And some were finishing before other people had started. This continued throughout 3 courses with intermittent introduction of relaxing lighting throughout the meal? The breakfast meal was ill managed to a point where consistent and continuous service was not possible , the tables remained uncleared . I think that the prestigious quality of the non dining aspects are let down by method that does not satisfy the customer experience. My hope for the future of this Hotel is that staffing levels for such a large occupancy were under employed and nobody seemed to show a confidence in the routines of service. However we were reimbursed for our meal experience by 50% but there needs to be a method to address poor service .
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I am obviously very disappointed to read your comments regarding the meal and the service. It is unusual for us to have private dining in the Mulberry Suite, but it was felt at the time that this would be the best option for your party due to the other private dining room being up stairs, and a large party already having been booked into the restaurant. This does not however, excuse what happened. This will be looked at in detail with the departmental managers and the teams involved, and training and procedures will be implemented to prevent this from happening again. I am pleased that you liked the spa, swimming pool and accommodation. I know that one of my duty manager spoke with the party on Sunday morning, but please also accept my sincere apologies for the issues you encountered.
"Fabulous Hotel and Spa"
I spent the weekend here with my husband and 2 children and will definitely be going back. When we arrived the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Spa Suite......which was amazing, the attention to detail. The rooms were a good size, the decor modern yet welcoming, very comfy beds and lovely showers. The suite was perfect for our needs and gave us the space we don't normally have when we go to hotels. There were plenty of plug points and USB points in some of the the sockets (nice and handy touch). The views out of the window of the Malvern Hills were spectacular. The Pool area was nicely done and having the chance to relax with a coffee, while my husband and children swam was great. The kids (5 & 8) didn't want to come home and are already asking when we can go back!!! Nothing was too much trouble.

I'm very pleased to read that you will return and that the whole family enjoyed themselves. The Spa has been nominated for an award and can be voted for online. We are very proud of the great strides they have made in such a short time since opening.
"Good quality, lovely surroundings"
Attentive staff, good quality service and great surroundings made this stay very pleasurable. Really nice spa and the staff there were very helpful. Surrounding grounds looked lovely too but I didn't have time to explore. would visit again and recommend for work or pleasure.

Thank you for writing such nice comments . A lot has been invested in the Hotel, Spa and Golf club and it is particularly pleasing to read how attentive the staff have been. We look forward to welcoming you again.
"Off-site Team meeting for some business & pleasure"
I decided to hold my team meeting recently at the Bank House Hotel where I wanted to add a little down time for the team. Given that were all based in Reading & London I wanted to go further a field this time and found this place. 18 of us descended on this hotel on a Tuesday morning and we were pleased that we did. We were all greeting and shown to our meeting room where fresh Tea & Coffee was waiting for us. We then had our meeting from 9:00- 14:00 where a delicious lunch was served to our room. After that a number of us played golf in the afternoon whilst others decided to chill in the Spa. Those who played golf were very impressed with the condition and the challenging course. One of the best we have played on and given that the company we work for are members of The Grove in Hertfordshire we thought it was excellent. The Spa too was lovely. That evening we all had a tasty dinner in the restaurant followed by drinks and then a very comfortable over night stay. In the morning, we all departed after a great big breakfast. All in all a fantastic 24 hours, lovely staff and great facilities.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for writing your review regarding your meeting in September. the combination of Spa and Golf is one we are trying to promote so it was pleasing to read of it's success. I have passed the relevant details to the Hotel,Spa and Greenkeeping staff , who were all thrilled. Thank you.
"Nice Venue"
Country Hotel with lots of free parking. We had a nice view of the Malvern Hills our room containing a double & single bed with excellent double pillows although only one side of the bed had a light. Other features were a double wardrobe, worktop with tea/coffee, hot choc and biccies, complementary spring water, an iron, flat screen TV with teletext enabled but no fridge or safe. Bathroom had good range of toiletries, full size bath & shower, heated towel rail and nice towels, the soft Malvern water was a bonus. The Gym and swimming area were very nice indeed so take your togs. Decorative order throughout the hotel was modern & clean. Breakfast was good & plentiful, food was hot and it was so nice to have cruet sets that had been filled and orange juice that tasted like it should. We were attending a Themed Wedding Reception the venue being beautifully decorated with a quality buffet and plenty of obliging staff to serve. In general a pleasant experience all round.

"Great stop over"
Hotel well presented, staff pleasant and hotel clean. The bedroom again very clean, bed very comfy and great shower! With free soaps! The 'little' gym was perfect! And appeared new. Food very good not lots of selection but what was available was very tempting. The service from the staff was also good. Breakfast - loads of selections from a 'help yourself buffet' to a separate menu served to your table - one grip, more coffee please! Highly recommend.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Many thanks for writing your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the gym and that you found the Hotel clean and the food tempting - we will at our next review look at the selection - thank you for your comment. I have indeed ordered coffee to be abundantly available , a must first thing in the morning!
"Substandard hotel amazing spa"
Hotel was not up to the standard you would expect to receive for the cost. No assistance on arrival. Staff were not particularly helpful or informative. Bath had mould around the top and bath pane was covered in marks. Light unit was hanging off ceiling. Cobwebs in windows. Food was well below standard and was billed for anything exceeding £28 per person (not leaving many options) Restaurant was a lobby area with tables in, food was cooked elsewhere... General standard of hotel was quite good. Spa was amazing, well recommended. Staff very friendly and professional. Treatments exceptional and quality of facilities was very good. Overall an amazing spa experience. Extremely tarnished by the hotel it is situated in.

"Fantastic spa day"
Had a wonderful day here yesterday after winning a competition for a spa day and lunch for two. The interior was delightful and stylish and extremely clean. Every little detail thought of and catered for your needs. Lots of complimentary products to try. Beautiful pool where we enjoyed a latte sat on the very comfy loungers. I had the drift away massage which was excellent . Tammy the therapist was wonderful very friendly whilst being profesnal. Lunch which was included , a good variety of choice and the food was lovely. The jacuzzi , steam room and sauna we're lovely. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming . Would highly recommend the bank house spa and hope to return soon.

Firstly, congratulations on winning the competition. I am pleased that you had an amazing time here, and that you enjoyed the beautiful Malvern View Spa. Thank you for taking the time to write this fantastic review, and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
"Wedding "
We had our wedding here in August The bank house did us very proud Mark was on the ball from day one and nothing was too much trouble throughout the process of booking it and organising it Thanks to dan for organising paul's beer which was a lovely touch On the day the food was absolutely amazing and we had lots of compliments on it especially the beef :) Adam and the team were there throughout the day and did everything we asked Thank you to everyone involved and we will be back 100% Thanks Lucy and paul X

Mark, Adam and Dan, along with the rest of the team, work hard to make these occasions as unique as they can be. We look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future.
"Stunning Hotel"
Stayed here last night, we had the silver suite. Absolutely stunning hotel, clean, lots of room, great views! The reception staff were welcoming when we arrived. As I've said the room was stunning! We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on those. The only thing that let's it down is the restaurant. It's not got a great atmosphere, reminded me of a bingo hall. The staff were pleasant enough but for the cost of the food it wasn't up to scratch unfortunately. Next time we shall take a wonder to a restaurant down the road instead.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am pleased that you enjoyed staying here with us and that the staff looked after you very well. "Dead roses and burnt scones!"
15 of us arrived for afternoon tea. Glass of sparkly very nice, though the vase of dead roses on the coffee table was not. Some of our food was delicious. Some a bit hit and miss. The scones were dark brown with burnt currants. Who even sends out food like that? Out of 15 customers not one of us would return or recommend.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. However, I find it very disappointing and very surprising to receive these comments as my team spoke with the person who booked the afternoon tea on the day and since this event took place, and we received feedback the exact opposite of this. We value all feedback here at the Bank House Hotel as it is only by receiving such feedback that we are able to improve the products and services that we offer to our guests. Should you wish to discuss this further with me, please contact me directly at the hotel.
"Lovely Hotel, Poor Customer Service"
My husband and I recently attended a charity event at the hotel and also played golf. Whilst we could not fault the actual stay, sadly on returning home I realised I had not packed my jewellery which I had taken in a little pouch. I telephoned the hotel to advise I had left this in the room and had it been handed in. Unfortunately I had to chase this over several days with the hotel only to be advised nothing had been found. This sadly included my eternity ring and a watch of great sentimental value as well as a number of other items. I requested on each occasion (and there have been at least five) to speak with the hotel manager. I am still waiting for a courtesy call. I have since reported this to the police and have been advised this is the third such incident reported to them about the hotel over a number of months and that if we visit the area again, we may want to consider using a different hotel! My husband and I are deeply disappointed by the lack of engagement or acknowledgement from the hotel and in particular the general manager. If you are going to use this hotel, and it was a lovely stay, please be careful with any valuables or items of sentimental value.
"VERY NICE STAY"
I stayed here a few times now and this hotel never disappoints . the staff are very nice very pleasant and helpful . the rooms are very comfy and clean and a good size . the last room I stayed in was the executive room which was a good size room with a good size bed and was very comfy and clean . it also had a good quality carpet . the room also has a fridge . the hotel has a big car park which I look for when booking . the town centre is only a 10/15min car/taxi ride away .
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is nice to hear that you come back time and again, and that you always find the hotel to be of a consistent standard regarding its team, the cleanliness and the accommodation. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
"Great hotel, could be fantastic"
Stay here quite regularly as I work in the area. All the rooms are good, the exec rooms just seem to be bigger but do have fridges in. Good quality biscuits (yes it does make a difference) and the usual teas coffees etc. No aircon in any of the rooms but even on the warmest nights in the summer it wasn't too hot. The spa is fantastic and they kindly open the gym early so you can get a quick workout before work. The downside is they close the spa / gym at 8pm. I can understand why as its always quite in the evenings but it's annoying when you're working late. And there's a half decent gold course at the back. The front 9 is ok but the back 9 is really nice The downside. The bar is soulless and overpriced, the food is average and the staff need better trainin ( but there's a fantastic pub within walking distance that's not owned by a chain) . Breakfast @ £12.50 is a tad over priced. Yes it would be nice if the reception staff recognized that I stay here quite regularly. Don't expect them to remember my name but "have you stayed here before?" when i've been staying 2 or three times a month since May isn't too much to ask Apart from that it's a lovely hotel. One of my favorites in the area
"Bit of a mixed bag hotel"
We stayed at this hotel for one night before going off to an event at the three counties show ground. The decor inside the hotel varied greatly from the stunning spa area to a very tired and bland looking main restaurant. We ended up having food in the sports bar which weirdly wasn't showing sport and had casualty on! It didn't appear to have BT Sports or Sky Sports so not really a sports bar? Our room was nice and had a lovely comfy bed, our only complaint was being disturb by two drunk women rolling around in the hallway in front of our room at 3am! We realise this isn't a fault of the hotel as such. In summary it's a nice hotel that just needs a few improvements but going by what the spa was like it seems like they are making the necessary changes!
"Fantastic Short Break"
Great quality hotel, well located for visiting Worcester and the surrounding countryside. Staff were very attentive, breakfast was excellent and we were upgraded to an executive suite for no additional charge. Will definitely return in future.
"Good and bad ??"
Difficult to give a 1-5 star review, our superior room with a view didn't look like it had been cleaned properly for a while, and had two old single beds clipped together and were very uncomfortable. The window with a view was tiny and so high you had to stand at window to look out it! As for the food, breakfast and dinner needs improvement, breakfast there is hardly any fresh fruit, the bowl of mixed fruit looked like it had been there for days, staff were still half asleep, had to find your own table and and then had to find sometimes ask for coffee, dinner service was a little better, but you expect them to know the little things like knowing what the soup of the day is without having to go and ask the kitchen, food was also better in the evening, and again when asked what the cheeses were on the cheese board, had to go and ask, and even more disturbing when you get the cheeseboard and two of the cheeses she mentioned weren't even on the board! Reception staff were helpful with the exception of them forgetting to order a taxi, after asking was it asap, then seen to a few other people then ordered someone else a taxi and after being told his would be over 25mins I asked how long mine would, to her reply oh I forgot to order your one as I was busy!! The sports bar, not really a sports bar to be honest, and the tv they had wasn't even on let alone showing any football or rugby that was on tv! However the beer garden is very nice, very relaxing and the grounds are lovely. However the spa was excellent, the staff there could not be more welcoming, very attentive and the treatments were excellent, my only gripe was the thermal suite was not working on my first day there, but the treatments made up for it.. So, it is a very nice place with a few changes, it could be a very very nice place, new beds a must, staff training a must, breakfast needs to be better. I need to return next year so fingers crossed there will be some much needed changes ????
"Spacious room with pleasing decor"
This hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Worcester city, the Malverns or Herefordshire. We arrived at 1.30 p.m. and our room was ready. We had an executive room and were surprised that it was so spacious. It was well furnished, including a 2.5 seater settee, small table and two tub chairs. There was plenty of hanging and drawer space, and a well stocked refreshment tray, refrigerator, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. The bathroom was large and it was all very clean. The ambience of the hotel was light and airy, with modern furnishings and décor, all very relaxing. It would be good for people with impaired mobility. The car park is near to the hotel entrance and there was plenty of parking available, even though the hotel was full that night. We had a snack in the bar in the evening which was OK. Breakfast was buffet style with a good range of cooked items. Unfortunately the service in the breakfast room was indifferent. Plates for the cooked breakfast were cold. When we arrived at 9 a.m. there was virtually nothing left, although it was replenished over the next quarter of an hour. We enjoyed our stay and would return, but have only given it a very good rather than excellent rating because of the poor service in the breakfast room.
"Did not want to leave !"
Hotel is about six miles outside Worcester and 5 miles from Malvern. very nice room (121) with view of Malvern Hills and Golf Course. Room kept very clean. Staff in all departments of the hotel very friendly. Newspapers delivered to order. Excellent breakfast. For me the bonus was the 10 metre pool . Everything is provided eg towels robes -flip flops. Excellent shower facilities plus sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Plenty of reclining benches around the pool. Adequate free parking. Golf course is adjacent to hotel. If approaching from Worcester hotel is on left Signal as soon as you see gas station on right because hotel entrance is partly concealed directly off the roundabout.
"A really fab few days!!"
We have just had a really lovely 3 day stay here and can thoroughly recommend it! We had 2 x executive rooms and found them to be well appointed, clean and spacious. My husband and son played golf twice on the course here and would definitely relish the prospect of going again ?? We had lunch and a breakfast in the club house and was very pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the value for money ?? We also had lunch in the spa area and again we were very happy ?? The girls in the spa were lovely - so helpful and friendly (ps. thanks to one of the girls for recommending a place for lunch in Worcester ....The Olive Branch was fab!) We had fab weather during our mini-break and spent a full afternoon in the spa area and sunbathing on the terrace- a total bonus for September- it was gorgeous!!! We didn't eat in the hotel in the evenings as we wanted a bit of a walk and change of scenery. We had already scoped the area and found the Fox Pub which is a 10-15 min walk down the road and this proved to be a good alternative for us! Please note, however, that the walk is along a road which is partly unlit at night - our phone torch apps were invaluable!!! Overall, we had a superb stay and will definitely return!

"Our amazing wedding"
We booked our wedding for the end of August, all I can say was that amazing and left me speechless. As soon as we arrived at the 1st tee mark was there to meet us, he helped the photographer with his reflector and wished us all the best. We then went to garden area for reception drink, they we were on hand greet us with our drinks. The guest of ours were relaxing and chatting away and so was I and my husband. We were ready for our wedding breakfast early they went out of their way to bring it forward. The head chef spend time arranging our cake for us. I had the goat cheese salad and tomato soup to start I can only comment on the salad. It was so lovely. The roast chicken we had for main was lovely not dry at all. The buffet in the evening was enjoyed by all. You pleased not only us Mr and Mrs creese but you also pleased our guest I would like thank everyone involved, we have been reliving this over and over again The room was amazing I could have stayed there all day.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review

We look forward to you coming back to see us in the not too distant future.
"A stunning wedding "
We chose to have our Valentine's Day wedding here after meeting with Kathy the events coordinator. She could not do enough for us and went out of her way to give us the beautiful wedding day that we wanted. The organisation from start to finish was excellent and all of the staff involved were equally excellent. The food was exceptional and meeting with the chef before the day allowed us to put our own twist in to the food choices and even in to how they were served. The wedding room looked beautiful and the hotel bedrooms are extremely well decorated and comfortable. The whole day from start to finish was exactly what we wanted and we wouldn't have changed anything. I would highly recommend holding your wedding here.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you very much for this lovely review. I am so pleased that your wedding day was everything you wanted it to be from start to finish. Kathy and the sales team, work hard to ensure that the wedding day of each bride & groom is as tailor made as it can possibly be, and then the operations team put this into practice on the day. I would like to congratulate you on your marriage, and hope that you will visit us again in the future.
"Our New Year Bash"
We have been to the "Bankhouse" three years on the trot and have again booked for this coming New Year 2016 party including overnight stay. The food is excellent every time, and each year the quality of the entertainment improves. This year its a Michael Buble tribute act, so we should be in for a good night. All our group are really looking forward to the event, especially the next day brunch.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this valuable feedback. We too are looking forward to this New Years Eve with Steve Maitland providing the entertainment. The menu is looking fantastic, and so we will celebrate the new year in style. I look forward to welcoming you.
"Let down by catering"
Was really pleased with this hotel. Lovely room. Welcoming reception. Excellent spa facilities. It all started going wrong once we entering the restaurant. Booked for 8:15. Only 2 people dining. Reviewed the menu to be told that the only vegetarian option on the menu was sold out. We were given the option to make up a starter into a main. One option! 40 minutes later our artisan breads and dipping oils and hummus arrived. 4 small pieces of one style of artisan bread were presented. We asked for more. The whole experience for ourselves and other tables that followed was disorganised and chaotic. Breakfast next morning might be better. My partner ordered eggs Florentine, being a veggie. It arrived with smoked salmon under the eggs (Benedict). It was changed, but after trying the returned dish my partner thought it tasted odd. On inspection, the wilted spinach turned out to be rocket!! Mentioned all of the above on leaving the hotel. They said that the restaurant would be informed, but said that they hadn't had other complaints. They weren't interested to see the picture of the rocket. The dining experience ruined our stay, which is a great shame.

"Spa day- great day but disturbed by a loud group "
Absolutely faultless day at the spa, when you arrive you are greeted with a small refreshing drink. The treatment was absolutely great and finished off with raspberry sorbet. Spa is lovely and relaxing. However, I think bank house should perhaps limit how many hotel guests can go in at once or put a firm rule on respect on Noise levels, after having a relaxing treatment around a group of 10 arrived in they were very noisy and it felt like I was at a communal pool; so we took ourselves away to the jacuzzi area and again very loud and full. This did slightly ruin the day as I felt really disturbed with the loud noise and the sudden massive group of people. I think it should really be looked at as this is one thing that could put me off coming back. Overall staff and the spa is faultless and a great reviving day, had the big loud group of people not have arrived.
"Fabulous find"
We don't live to far but fancied a spa break. My husband & our 13yo. We booked the dinner, bed & breakfast, excellent deal. Plenty of parking, lovely reception, room was great too. The bar is very cosy. Lovely garden & outdoor area. The food was delicious. The spa is just fantastic, will definitely be coming back with my ladies for a spa day, husband said it was the best massage he has ever had! Overall the hotel was very clean, very pleasant, the staff couldn't have done more for us. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
"A best western treat "
Stayed here on a last minute deal and what a pleasant surprise it was. Lovely golf hotel setting. The reception staff were exceptional in attending to our needs. The room was a good size, clean and fully equipped with everything stated on the website. We had free access to the spa, pool and gym areas which we made full use of - Very relaxing with helpful staff. The only Criticism we had was the bar food. We ordered a light bite starter meal which was very light indeed and lacked any culinary skill and presentation and a classic burger which just lacked!! I'd say poor quality for money and could have been so much better. Breakfast was a good standard selection of continental and full English. A little over cooked on the bacon, sausage and black pudding but fabulous scrambled egg! All in all a lovely hotel and I would stay again as the staff and facilities were great- would just eat locally ??.

"A great hotel"
This hotel is the bees knees, a very comfortable hotel with very good facilities including a spa, gym and pool. The staff are very polite and helpful , the food was loverly. We played golf on their course which was kept in good condition. It's really worth a visit.

"daughters wedding"
On visting here last year for a wedding fair my daughter and her partner booked there wedding for the 13th August 2016 found it very hard to organise the wedding as lack of communication from their end did not meet wedding planner until the day of the wedding once complained things did get a little better but caused a lot of unnecessary stress the dj was boring played old music did not take anything from play list provided until the bridesmaids complained Adam who was in charge of change over and decorating the room was brilliant also at the wedding fair my daughter ordered the chocolate fountain which was to die for but on the night it was disgusting no one ate only the children which we found very disappointing when she complain ed she was told it was the same chocolate they always use NOT in the morning came down passed reception man and women receptionist talking to one another I said morning the man replied back as for the women dont think she as very good people skills all so when night guests arrived they realised they were sat in a different wedding no signs to say which wedding was whos very disappointed

Thank-you for taking the time to write this constructive feedback. Your comments have been passed on to the relevant departmental managers for them to discuss with their teams. It is disappointing to read that we did not meet your expectations, and I am sorry for this. Weddings are very special and individual occasions, and therefore everyone's expectation is different. However, the basics of customer service and communication should still remain at the same high level but tailored to the individual requirements. Your daughter has been contacted directly to discuss this in further detail.
"Brilliant Spa Day"
My daughter and I had a fabulous day in the Malvern View Spa yesterday. The Spa is lovely and relaxing in a gorgeous location with fabulous facilities. The staff were very attentive nothing was too much trouble. The treatments left us feeling great. Thanks for a lovely day, we will certainly be back.

"Underwhelmed"
We stayed for one night at Bank House. The initial welcome was not great, the female receptionist was not friendly and verged on rude at one point. She was better when we checked out so maybe just a bad day. The hotel and room were clean but lacked atmosphere. The staff in the Sportsman bar and at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. The spa would only allow my 13 year old son to swim during 'children's' swimming times and he was not allowed to use the hot tub and steam room etc at all, with the age limit being 16, we feel this is too high, accompanied by parents it should be lower - maybe 12. We mentioned this to the spa staff and reception who said they would pass it on. The wi-fi was pretty much non-existent, which could be a real problem for business users. We mentioned this to the male receptionist in the afternoon following check in - he said he would let his manager know but we heard no more. All in all, we were underwhelmed, a friendlier welcome and a few tweaks and this hotel could be lovely.

"A very enjoyable and restful stay"
Looks can be deceptive. From first appearance, as we pulled off the A4103, the somewhat austere fascia of the Bank House Hotel reminded me of red-brick, post-war Council Offices. But as soon as we were inside, we found the interior to be very tastefully designed, and looking every inch a four star hotel. Meals were taken in the light and airy Malvern View Restaurant. Breakfast was from 7:00 am – 10:00 am, which we appreciated, although on the one day when we came down to breakfast at 9:30, some items were looking very tired. The usual selection of cereals, fruit juice, fruit, hot breakfast – with porridge and freshly cooked eggs available on request. As we were part of a holiday party, we chose our evening meals from a short table d'hôte menu. Everything was well prepared and attractively presented. Highlights of my dining week were a braised steak and a delicious individual oval steak and ale pie – 8 inches x 4 inches! There were vegetarian options every day. On some evenings, the restaurant service seemed a bit slow, although the staff were generally very helpful. One lady ordered spicy tomato soup, but could only manage one mouthful. Without query, this was instantly replaced with another item from the menu. We found the house coffee a bit bitter for our taste. Our twin bedroom was a good size with adequate drawer and wardrobe space. Tea, coffee and biscuits were replenished each day. The bathroom was modern and a reasonable size with Temple Spa toiletries. The only problem was that the “lock” on the shower was faulty, which meant that as soon as the full force of the water was turned on, the shower head immediately swivelled round and deluged the bathroom with water! Fortunately, we had a ground floor room. This was reported first day, but was never adequately sorted the whole week. Being on the ground floor, with a tree outside the window, the room (7) was a bit dingy though. The hotel features the Malvern View Spa and the 18-hole Bransford Golf Club. We used neither of these – but other guests in our party spoke highly of the indoor swimming pool. There was a good strength Wi-Fi signal in the room, which was free. A very enjoyable and restful six night stay.

"Excellent Spa Afternoon!!"
Just wanted to say that we had a great time here on 3rd August for the afternoon escape spa offer. I would like to thank Tammy and Karina (I hope I spelt that right) for the treatments which were superb and for Clare for being so helpful with the booking and also the lady (whose name I cannot remember sorry) on reception who didn't mind that I wanted to change my treatment at the last minute! Nothing was any trouble at all. The products used were fantastic and I cant recommend this place enough. The facilities were fantastic, clean and very relaxing and great views too. Would definitely come again! The best spa I have been to. Finished off with a cream tea with lovely warm scones, clotted cream and jam. Thank you all again for a great day!!

"Excellent service "
We came to stay overnight for my sisters 40th birthday celebration. There was 16 girls, and we had a fabulous time. We booked in for afternoon tea, had a room to ourselves, plenty of food and service was excellent. The toilet in my sisters room was faulty and without any hesitation they upgraded her to a suite. Thanks and we will return

Thank you for writing this great review. I am glad that the celebration went well, and was enjoyed by all. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
"Almost perfect"
Stayed with our two house-trained children of 9 and 13. Initially had rooms on different floors but despite it being very busy they did manage to change our rooms to be next to eachother and could not have been more helpful. Spa and pool were great as was the next door golf course (very helpful in the golf shop). Children were only allowed in the pool between 8-10am an 4-6pm. Booked to eat in the restaurant but they could not offer a children's menu and at £20-25 for a main course it was very expensive with limited choice so we ate elsewhere. Waiting staff were young and inexperienced and seemed unfamiliar with what was on offer and couldn't even pronounce some of the dishes on the breakfast menu. A little basic training would go a long way. We were told it had recently been taken over and refurbished so would definitely try it again but maybe not with children.
"Really wel looked after"
Our Golf Society annual golf trip has always stayed at The Bells Hotel, Coleford . For 22 years, our 3 day 2 night stay took advantage of the excellent value for money Bells offered. This year we decided to try somewhere different and didn't we find a little gem of a place in The Bank House Hotel, Brandsford. Excellent accommodation, super breakfast and evening meal, the spa facilities are really good, but above all the staff were really helpful and friendly. From reception through to bar and dining the staff appreciated our "humour" and made us feel really welcome. On our presentation evening Catherine (waitress) presented the prizes to the winners - we did leave a substantial tip!! I have saved the best until last. Our priority for "away days" is the quality and challenge of the golf course and Bransfords really did challenge our golfing ability. With numerous lakes(lots of red and yellow stakes) and 6 par 5's the golf on the first day was dismal in terms of scoring - a solid 29 points won the money! The second day did improve significantly as the course management strategies kicked in. The 3 man scramble on the final day saw the winning team net 7 birdies( my team) and we picked up the money. It was a fabulous 3 days and what made it even more special was the hospitality in the clubhouse. Every club needs a LORRAINE - thank you for the warm welcome, the humour and the service. Lorraine looked after us each day and every request was greeted with a smile and a swift service. We will be back next year especially if we can secure a good deal!!! Thank you Bransford for a great 3 days - some may say that your course is a ball stealing machine - we all lost loads of balls to the water but who cares, with such good entertainment and excellent value for money we will return. Signage - just a minor criticism. On the first day we did not always find it easy to go from green to the next tee., Small investment would make a big difference.
"Great service and great golf!!"
I have just returned from a 3 day golf break at the Bank House Hotel/Bransford Golf Club. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are great; everyone I came into contact with was very polite, friendly and helpful. The spa facility is wonderful and just the job after a hard day on the golf course! The course itself was in great shape although a little challenging. I would definitely recommend this hotel/spa/golf course combo!
"Clean, comfortable and great breakfast"
We stayed here for one night while at a wedding nearby. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Quiet and the beds were comfy. We had breakfast in the morning and found a great selection of food. We had a cooked breakfast and it was very tasty. Normally a little out of price range but for one night it was fine.
"Nice but overpriced"
I stayed here for a conference at the apparently special rate (higher? lower?) of £100 per night over the weekend. The room was nice and comfortable but nothing special. Sadly the windows were very high so couldn't see the countryside view. On both mornings I had to clear a table so that I could have breakfast. On the Sunday I had to ask 4 times to get tea, ask for cutlery, for crockery and even for food to be brought out for the buffet. Not acceptable. The staff were all very nice but expect much better service than this.
"Sunday lunch with Jazz"
The lunch was held in the garden room which was bright and airy with views over the lawns and although we were advised to book in advance, there were still a couple of spare tables but there was a good ambiance and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The self service buffet style starter had an excellent choice of fish, meats, pate, gazpacho and bread and butter and we sampled them all! There was table service for the rest of the meal. The roast beef was very good, nicely rare, but the Yorkshire puddings were only luke warm and the vegetables were not too hot either. The salmon wasn't over cooked and the vegetarian option was excellent. The desserts were gorgeous, hot gooey chocolate brownie and a generous sized Eton mess and the other choices looked good as they were taken to the other diners. The best part of the lunch was undoubtedly the jazz quartet who played until we had all finished. They were very good and we shall definitely return the next time they're playing. For under £25 for three courses and live music, this was a good value Sunday lunch.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this great review. Our seasonal monthly live music lunches are quite popular, and on a nice day like Sunday what could be better than lovely food, nice weather, great company, and good music. I am so glad that you enjoyed it, and we look forward to welcoming you come back.
"Excellent quality dinner"
On spec asked to haveSaturday dinner with unexpected friends.Despite two wedding receptions in full flow we were welcomed &had a really enjoyable meal .Food & wine was as we hoped with friendly & efficient service.

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. Our aim is to offer all our guests the same level of service no matter how busy we are, and I am pleased that you found this to be the case. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
"Good but not quite excellent"
We enjoyed our stay which was good value for money. The twin bedded room was spacious and comfortable, the spa was excellent although the pool is a bit shallow and there is the golf course for those who play. However, the day to day running was not quite as good as it should be. They failed to tell us about the full breakfast menu (the same happened to other guests). There was no low fat spread and it seems they were incapable of procuring any. The maid did not straighten out the sheets when she made the beds. And how many staff does it need to change a lightbulb in a bedside light? Well one, but apparently it has to be a qualified person for health and safety reasons and none was available in the evening. The staff were genuinely apologetic about the light bulb but my rating could so easily be excellent if they paid a bit more attention to this sort of thing
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club, responded to this review
Thank for taking the time to write this review. I am pleased to see that overall you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Bank House. But am disappointed to see that there was attention to detail lacking by the team with the issues that you encountered. All of these issues have been discussed with the relevant departmental managers, so that training can be carried out with their teams to stop these things happening again in the future. I once again thank you for taking the time to write this review, as it is only by this kind of constructive feedback that we are able to improve the products and services that we offer to our guests. I do hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future.
"Not quite the full package"
The rooms are very nice but the day to day running could do with a bit of fine tuning. The young waiting and bar staff were very pleasant but it sometimes seemed that they didn't really get all the support they needed. For example one morning breakfast finished at 09:00 despite being advertised until 10:00. The staff in the breakfast area said that they had been told that all residents were attending a conference that day which started st 9:00, however myself and my eight colleagues were not attending and we had to make do with the very small amount of food remaining. The staff were apologetic but no additional food was offered.
Lynn D, General Manager at Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf Club, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I apologise for issues that you experienced at breakfast a few weeks ago. I have spoken with departmental managers regarding this issue and they are refining their processes so that this sort of mis-communication does not happen again, and also so that their teams are better equip to be able to rectify the situation immediately should anything along these lines re-occur. I appreciate your constructive feedback, as it is only by receiving this that we are able to improve the products and services that we offer.
"lovely spa with friendly staff"
what a wonderfully relaxing hotel, lovely pool and spa with very friendly and helpful staff especially Tracey and Roxy from the spa. very clean and tidy hotel a good choice of breakfast and evening meals

"Christmas Party"
Great food and service but the disco on the night was average to poor. Asked for a request. ...hadn't got other discos have!? Then finally played another request which was ruined by a mix that was put together.
"VERY DISAPPOINTING"
I friend and I visited The Bank House back in September, giving them our email address and a request to let us have details of the new spa that was opening and of the event they were holding for New Year BUT by the time we visited in December we had received NOTHING. In December when visiting for lunch we ordered a HOT RARE steak sandwich and a HOT chicken sandwich. Thirty-five minutes after ordering we enquired of a staff member where our food was. he informed me that it would take fifteen minutes as they were cooked fresh, at which point I informed him that we had already been waiting thirty-five minutes. He disappeared into the kitchen and we did not see him or any other staff member for a further ten minutes at which point him and another member of staff came out of the kitchen with our food. Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich stone cold, so was the steak sandwich, which was medium at best, certainly not rare as requested. I would point that other than my friend and I there were four people in the only other party in the whole eating/bar area.
""O What a Night""
Saturday 12th December, Christmas party night for family, hotel looks stunning after refurbishment,, All the hotel staff were pleasant and polite and nothing was to much trouble, We had a very comfortable night, in a very pleasant room, evening food and breakfast excellent, the new luxury spa, is Fab-u-Lous, The hotel is a good location, for the Malvern hills and surrounding area. Well done to everyone, thank you we will be back, Brian & Linda, from Warwick.
"A Great Place to Stay"
This is a lovely place to stay the staff were great nothing was too much trouble. We were not happy with our original room so they moved us without any problem to a much nicer room. The reception we had was warm and welcoming and the hotels owner who we met was pleased to help us in any way,the new spa is lovely and I would recommend people to try it. Unfortunately we were only staying 1 night but on our next visit we will stay longer. Diner and breakfast were excellent
"Superb Ladies' Charity Lunch"
A friend and I held a Charity Lunch for over 100 people at the Bank House last week in aid of Cancer Research U.k, The hotel staff and food were excellent and the room looked beautiful and the whole hotel looks stunning after a complete refurbishment.A lot of money was raised for the charity and everyone had a very enjoyable day thanks to the hotel 'going that extra mile'. My husband and I then spent a very comfortable night there and the new luxury Spa looks amazing
"One night only"
Booking on line was easy, On arrival on the evening on Saturday the 28th we were greeted with a very warm welcome and extremely helpful reception, the room we had was superb, spotless and well stocked for tea and coffee, this room had both bath and shower and again well stocked with toiletries. The bar staff and all staff at breakfast again pleasant and helpful, the breakfast is buffet style the chef made fresh fried eggs and fresh porridge upon our request, at check out reception again warm and friendly, despite a wedding party being held there, there was no outside noise and a good sleep followed, will definitely use again.
"friendly service and excellnt value"
nothing was too much trouble on arrival we wanted a bath so room changed with ease and a smile. We also asked for help with booking a taxi this was done again with a smile, and all this with a full hotel a wedding and a hunt ball !!!. The room was newly decorated and very comfortable and quiet and the large bed comfortable. All wash items were of good quality and had a lovely smell. Breakfast was good value with good quality and local produce. A great find
"Fantastic all round venue"
Went here for the first time in years for a wedding. From start to finish everything was exceptional. We stayed over night and our room was one of the best we have stayed in and the king size bed was to die for...............I did not want to get up for breakfast. The food at the wedding was excellent and service was fab. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who who I must apologise to on reception. They did tell me their names at check out but I am lousy when it comes to names. Wish now we had stayed longer but don't think it will be long before we are back again. The rooms have complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee and an iron. Breakfast was self service apart from having eggs any way other than scrambled then you have to order Thanks for an excellent wedding and stay. Top marks
"Luxury hotel at affordable prices "
Good food affordable prices in a relaxing area, great rooms full of luxury and fantastic if you're a golf lover .... ( which we're not) there is a shopping area across the road with a cafe where you can have a coffee and a slice of cake ( lunch and dinner also provided ) we booked this hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle , a quiet location which we Highly recommend !
"lovely hotel"
stayed over 23-26 oct had such a lovely weekend, all team members are fantastic! Breakfast was delicious as was steak baguette from sportsmans bar, hoping to be back soon and experience the spa! thank you to all the team for making my stay so fantastic xx
"Lovely Quiet Location"
Stayed at the hotel whilst attending a function, the room for which was fabulous, beautifully laid out, superb food and excellent attentive staff who moved around the evenings events unnoticed. Had a standard room on the top floor, recently refurbished to a high standard just missing the robe and slippers! With the quality of the furnishing I was looking forward to a excellent night sleep - not to be with alarms going off at 2am, then doors banging and very thin walls so it was plan to hear people in the next room attempting to put a drunken quest to bed - unsuccessfully. Breakfast in the restaurant, juices / fresh fruit / cereals / yoghurts all nicely laid out, choice of scrambled eggs or omelette cooked to order, then buffet for bacon / sausage etc., Toasting machine had broken so staff were taking orders directly to the kitchen, personally my preferred option. Check-Out - Mentioned the nights events with the alarms and noise, staff not interested didn't even apologise - more interested in their own conversations Overall a beautiful hotel in a lovely location with great views, with the Spa facilities currently under construction and the gardens being landscaped has great potential, however, Reception staff certainly need further customer service training
"Not bad, not good..."
It's OK, rooms OK, food OK. Staff could do with some serious training, they are not particularly welcoming and they don't seem very pleased to see you! It does annoy me when you feel like you are intruding on a chat when you are waiting to be served and two members of staff feel their little chat is more important.
"Couldn't ask for more!"
We booked the hotel because of its location to the Morgan Motor Company and the fact it had golf. The golf course was nicely challenging and in great condition. The staff at the hotel and golf club were extremely helpful. We didn't eat at the restaurant as met friends in Droitwich. However, the breakfast more than covered our choices. We stayed in a standard room, which was clean and comfortable. Loved all the touches the style, the fact it had both Sparkling and Still water and the Elemis toiletries. My husband and I shall definitely be back but for a longer stay to play golf and enjoy the Spa. Heaven!
"First day Oct 2015"
Hotel & staff very good .. room very comfortable , bar good if a little small ! Course interesting & challenging, in excellent condition !! I am here to relax for a couple of days ! The meal tonight was not very good ... Black pudding salad starter with egg ... who the hell puts hot egg yolk on salad leaves ... awful !! Main course .. a good portion of chicken, if a little dry ... potatoes with skins on ... why ???? ... mange tout & courgettes . Un appetising non-English rubbish ... & I specifically asked for NO courgettes !! Cheese for sweet cannot be messed with !! Not very good !! Looking forward to breakfast !!
"Very poor restaurant that spolis a nice hotel"
Stayed with family having booked two rooms and reserved a table in the small restaurant. Arrived promptly at 7pm and orders were taken politely. The choice was limited especially for the two vegetarians in our group, but the menu held some promise. The one person in our group waited 45 minutes for a cold starter (it was supposed to be cold). The waiting staff were advised service was a little slow and a cold terrine of duck and an espresso cup of onion soup did little to appease growing disappointment. The absence of any bread roll or butter from a side plate on the table was matched by the sparsity of waiting staff that seemed confined to the kitchen. At 8.30 pm, some ninety minutes after being seated, the patience of any reasonable customer was considered expired and in the absence of any staff to host the 4 tables and 10 customers in the restaurant, action was required. The chef was found in the kitchen and was advised that 90 minutes a ludicrous waiting time, service was terrible and what ever his talents promised he really needed to work on his timing skills that made continental drift look speedy. The duty manager was informed and despite his offer of a free meal..the thought of yet another wait from chef du slow...was quite enough. Although the one small bar bill of some 12 to 13 pounds was paid for the 2 in the party of four. Too little...too late in my view and no explanation was offerrded of chef du slow's incompetent performance that evening.
"Accommodation good - food not so good"
Stayed at the hotel yesterday night - nice friendly welcome and check-in we had two rooms, one standard double and one executive. Both spotlessly clean, fresh carpets, good beds and great bathrooms. However we arrived there after a three hour drive and decided to eat in-house - choosing the restaurant over bar food as we thought there would be a better choice - the bar menu had more items than the restaurant. We were first in to the dining room which was decked out as if it were a wedding which was very odd and was not a nice environment to enjoy a meal in, it was not helped by a terrible cd playing ersatz classical music too loudly. The three of us struggled to find something to eat on the restaurant menu and were told we could mix from the bar menu too. We did - none of the food was seasoned and no condiments on the table. 2/10 for all of the following - white onion soup all cream and no taste, Mushroom panacotta no flavour, a burger was tasteless and the chips looked like they were a day old, the mushroom risotto may have had some sliced mushrooms in it but the rice was bland an uninteresting. We soldiered on and took consolation hoping the dessert would be nice. Treacle tart was so hard I had to repeatedly bang my cutlery in to it to break a spoonful and the spoon full I did eat was horrid - both desserts sent back. In fairness the brownie was ok. Breakfast buffet was average. Staff all nice and helpful. So if you are a keen golfer or need somewhere near Malvern to stay the accommodation is great and well priced but you may want to check out restaurant food before ordering!
"Company Golf Break"
Friendly staff, good food, excellent golf venue. We booked the Bank House because of its central location. The staff both in the hotel and the golf club were helpful in every way, we could not have wished for a better place to hold our golf day, it will also be on my list of venues for when I look for a future place for a weekend break from the golf club were I am a member.

Thank you for your review of your golf day here at the hotel, we were pleased you enjoyed it so much. Our central location makes us easy to get to and we are very popular with businesses looking to host events like yours. We hope to welcome you back in the future, maybe sometime after the Spa is open in November when you can enjoy the golf course and then relax afterwards.
"Lucky stop"
We chanced on this hotel as for some reason every budget hotel between Cardiff and Birmingham was fully booked! It was booked through Booking.com an hour or so before but even so, all the paperwork was ready when we arrived. We were lucky enough to have an executive suite and I have to say the room was gorgeous and roomy. Lovely bed and pillows too (I was suffering from a bad neck) it was a treat to find Elemis products in the bathroom. We are in the restaurant and the food was lovely as was our waitress. Breakfast was good too. In fact all of the young female waitresses were enchanting both evening and morning. The only thing that I felt let down by was the poor wifi made worse by dreadful 3G in the area. If I could have given it 4.5 I would have done.

Thank you for your review of the Bank House and all the items you highlighted that made your stay so good. The Wi Fi system is being upgraded because despite having exceptionally fast internet speeds the current system is struggling when a lot of guests are trying to access it at the same time. I hope we can welcome you back to the Bank House in the near future, the new Wi Fi system will be up and running by the end of October.
"Our amazing wedding"
We have just had our wedding here and it was amazing. From day one of planning our wedding we were made to feel very welcome. Kathy, mark, sue and Jemma were all fantastic in helping our big day run as smoothly as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Also the food was fantastic, everything was cooked to perfection. All the guests commented on how good it was. A number of our guests stayed over on the night and have all said how lovely the rooms were. Our bridal suite in particular was perfect. We cannot thank the bankhouse enough for all the hard work and effort they put into making our day so special. Thanks against, louise & Pete.
