BW has good rewards program. The hotels are always excellent. This one, I thought, was outstanding. The perfect location.
Spent five nights and plan to come back when visiting family here next year. Bed was great, room was clean. The breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy in the hot trays, and I think pancakes and more. Only disappointment was the WIFI being slow and dropping too much.
This hotel is definitely not worth 4 stars. Family has stayed before and this place has gone downhill quick. Free breakfast?? I would advice going somewhere to eat. Stayed here this last weekend and I had not seen a more dismal display. Food was terrible let alone NO ONE WAS THERE to replace or add more coffee. No one. Our bathtub did drain at all. Always love standing water when taking a shower. Laundry facilities, well a nice display of what does not work. We go to Waxahachie often but will definitely not be staying here again.
Staff was very attentive and helpful for a joint family gathering in the area to attend events. Room was clean - comfortable with varied ages visiting. Breakfast was very well serviced and good choices. Easy in-out check in with a full hotel the property was very convenient to many options on the variety of shopping - eating.
The rooms are.clean and price is very reasonable the staff is very friendly and helpful Hot breakfast questions rooms Located.ar0und lots.of stores and restaurants
This was one of the hotels on our drive from Central NY to Mazatlan, Mexico, (with our pups) and the property was excellent - unlike the BW in Florence, KY, or the Wingate by Wyndham in Memphis. The public areas were clean and nicely designed with artwork, breakfast room (this one was nice enough to eat at), pool, and business area. The front desk at check in and check out were welcoming, the beds VERY comfortable, and a great desk at which to work. (I'm a Travel Advisor.) Across the road is a variety of shops and tons of nearby restaurants. The area is very safe.
This is a very nice hotel. I'm sure some rooms show more wear than others. Our room did not have stained upholstery on the chair. It was very clean, and you could tell Maria takes pride in her work. Breakfast on Saturday morning was hot, and there was plenty to choose from. Patty made sure we had what we needed. We were in town for a weekend of antique shopping and will definitely return.
We need handicap services when we travel - ADA compliant rooms, etc. The Best Western Plus in Waxahachie was so very helpful in all that we needed. The room had excellent space for all our equipment and was easily navigated. The staff was very helpful in answering all our questions and providing needed information before we even arrived. It was as perfect for us as it could be.
Loved staying at the Best Western Plus Waxahachi Inn and Suites. Excellent hotel with very reasonable prices. Very clean, beautiful setting, centrally located, good breakfast included, friendly staff. Loved my stay.
spent 10 days at the motel during the texas motorplex stampede of speed had a great time just spent another 3 days with them for the street outlaws race great people to be around. if you need any thing just call and ask for Stacy and she will help you out!
My stay was good. The front desk clerk Stacy greeted me upon my arrival and took the time to ask if I needed cleaning daily. The last time I had not used cleaning much if at all and her asking was a good supporting inquiry for the hotel staff and she remembered me. The room was fine, internet and TV worked well, as did the AC. Only one time did a person complain to me that she could not get connected to my room when she called in. I told the manager that the next day and it was remedied. Also, at the front desk I was told following this that a person had tried to call me and she asked if I had received the call, so the follow-up after this one-time failure was good. Breakfast always good as usual and I met in the dining room in the afternoon with my friend. I would stay there again.
I was in town for only 1 night and was booked on the 2nd floor. Normally I request the 3rd floor so there's no noise above but my husband didn't want to switch rooms. I must say I was PLEASANTLY surprised that I heard nop noise from above...at all! Cudos to them for sound proofing the floors! It was a very pleasant stay!
I was leery of this hotel by the pics online but was pleased to find I was wrong. It was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Plus lots of shopping and restaurants in the immediate area. Definitely recommend
This staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast has a variety of items and is fresh daily. The room was clean and easily accessible. This hotel is located in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very good location to where my family lives. The only negative was the water in the bath tub was adjusted to only move a short distance and it was barely warm.
went down to the Texas Motorplex for the races spent 10 days at the Best Western in Waxahachie Tx just 10 minutes to the track the motel and staff were all great people to be around great places to eat all in walking distance.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights here for work and everything was as hoped for. The staff was good and the room was comfortable and clean. It was inexpensive and in a very good location. We would stay here again.
We were lucky to snag a room at this hotel at the last minute at a busy time, which was very helpful because this is at a great location. We were a reasonable distance from our destination, and very close to several good restaurants. Staff was helpful when they were available, though the front desk was often empty and a few calls went unanswered. We didn't use any amenities because we just needed a place to lay our heads. Breakfast only lasts until 9:30 am so just be aware of that. Overall decent stay.
Our room was missing an ironing board. I asked the front desk attendant if she could please find an ironing board for my room. She stated she was too busy and would not be able to do this. The front desk attendant was on her phone texting and would never look up an address myself face-to-face. I asked the front desk attendant if she could please have a maid take an ironing board from another room and place it in my room. The front desk attendant stated she was too busy for this and would not be able to do that. I asked if I could please speak to the manager on duty. The front desk attendant stated there was no manager and she did not know when one would be arriving in. I asked if she could please contact me through customer service and she told me I could find a phone and do it on my own. Terrible customer service please avoid this hotel if at all possible.
This hotel smells like cigarettes. The lobby, the hallways, elevator, etc. Luckily our room did not. However, in the room, our curtains were hanging loose, the blackout material on the back was missing/worn off in many places and the sun showed through in a moth-eaten pattern, there was hair in the shower, no hair dryer, and mystery gunk on the walls. The breakfast was "okay," and I stuck to Quaker oatmeal with hot water. It is dated and needs sprucing up, though I can't imagine it's very old. It felt generally dirty and as if the owners are pinching pennies.
Room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Walk in shower was nice. Only thing that could bother some, but did not affect us was that in the description the room was listed as a suite with a larger room area and sofa bed. When we arrived it was a smaller room without it. We didn't say anything because it didn't matter to us personally, but to some it could have been an issue, so if you need the other sleeping space or room area make sure you verify ahead of time.
The customer service is outstanding! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We had plenty of room to park our truck and 41' trailer. There are two restaurants (Buffalo Wild Wings and TaMolly's) that are directly to the left and right of the hotel making dining options perfect during your stay. We travel over 200 days a year and this is one of our favorite hotels to stay!
The only reason I didn't give it excellent ratings on everything is because as with all hotels over time, there are places I see that get missed when cleaning....mainly in the corners of floors. I wouldn't have a problem staying in the cheapest of hotels when they are brand new.
I stayed at this location when it was a Sleep Inn with no problems. That's why I chose it again. However, this trip was a nightmare. The roaches were everywhere! Called maintenance and they sprayed the room twice. Even after that, I found roaches inside my refrigerator and all over the bathroom floor. I finally had to change rooms. I will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Excellent hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and inviting. The room was very clean and had a nice bed with soft comforter. Breakfast and coffee were great. I would definitely recommend staying here.
we always pick best western at evrry stay. they have not let us down. always get what you pay for plus. we continuee to seek out best western when we travel for business or pleasure. great locations and great staffing.
We will stay at this best western again, next time we are in the area. The check in lady was really nice , the rooms were comfy and quiet. The beds were great and we had a great nights sleep. quiet and dark. In the morning we used the free breakfast and we all enjoyed the breakfast.
Very Nice Hotel, Convenient location to shopping and restaurants, friendly staff, clean rooms reasonable price, overall enjoyable stay!! Will definitely stay here again, There is also a very nice pool outside to enjoy during the summer months!
Very pretty location, close to many shops in Waxahachie without being in a major traffic zone. Was very clean and the staff was kind to my requests. Cleaning ladies and front desk were quick with my requests and the place always smelled nice and was clean. Minor inconveniences like needing more towels because of the floor getting wet from the shower curtains and little rollipollies around the door, waffles at breakfast werent great though were cute texas shapes. Price is little more than your motels but it is worth it for the great staff, nicer rooms and quite space near the shops.
We were on the second floor and the room was very nice. Larger then I expected, which was nice but the AC/heat unit was so loud it kept me up. The only things that was bad was that the shower has zero pressure and took a long time to get warm. The front desk person the first 2 nights was very friendly and got us whatever we needed. The "continental" breakfast was awful, not sure how much of that was Covid and being understaffed, but we went out every morning to avoid it. I would stay again, but aske for a room with a better shower.
We had to be out of our home on short notice due to weather related restoration. We have stayed in Best Westerns in the past and thought we'd give this one a try. We were very pleased with our short stay. The place was very clean, well maintained, and the staff very kind and helpful.
The room was clean and everything was in working order. Staff was friendly and helpful. We came for a wedding and it was very close to the venue. There was in a great location for food establishments and stores.
Weekend softball tourney with my team from Oklahoma. Front desk was very friendly and nice. Location was excellent. The only drawback was the lack of an open seating breakfast area but was understandable due to the Covid situation. Would stay again.
Rented several rooms for my son's wedding. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Great weekend. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was limited and only downfall, but that was due to Covid.
Hotel staff very helpful , courteous ,had a remote missing in the room no problem to have one and then the staff programmed to the TV .Room was very comfortable ,bed very comfortable ,room was very clean . Only thing I would say is there could be 2 packages for coffee
I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years it's in an okay location but it's usually quiet. The only downfall that I had with it this time were the pillows were completely flattened and wore out. it is time for the rest of the hotels to catch up with the ones that are still doing to go hot breakfast and get over this covid mess. We have to travel for our work and it's time to bring back the hot breakfast.
While most of the stay was good we had a few problems with our 5 day stay - they asked to be able to have housekeeping take care of the rooms every other day - and that was not enough. We need coffee and towels as well as trash cans dumped daily. The room had a loose toilet seat that needed to be taken care of - but we did not make a big deal out of it. Overall the staff was great.
I can say that I have been to a lot of Best Westerns some good some not so good. This one went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. Tessa helped us find a great place to eat as well places to visit.
There is a larger than normal plush, grassy area out both side doors of the hotel, designated for pets, making it convenient and easy. The parking lot behind the hotel is large enough to accommodate a truck/trailer with ease. We highly recommend this hotel when traveling with pets!
I stayed here for a day this weekend and I really liked it. Clean, friendly and honest. Our room was on the ground floor, which I prefer, and was located down the hall from the lobby, breakfast area and pool. Pool was open and was clean and quiet and safe. The hotel overall seems very safe and is located right in the middle of many restaurants and shopping. A very friendly staff, such as are here, always make a stay more relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice location and clean hotel. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Limited breakfast with COVID but still available. Great shopping for the area and a good variety of restaurants in the area to choose from.
I loved my room it was just 10 minutes from my family function that was very convenient.I was able to go back and forth from my room to where my family was with ease without getting lost. I had a good variety of food and shopping near the Hotel.
Our daughter got married and so there were quite a few of us coming from out of town. The hotel did a great job keeping our rooms close, making sure everyone was taken care of, and even allowed us to use the breakfast room late into the evening to continue the "party" as it were. Wonderful staff, great value.
Friendly faces and big smiles are always at the front desk. Tesa was amazing and so were the two women that helped with checking in. Especially the manager who rushed to switch rooms when the battery was low.
Looking for a house so we were in and out a lot. Was greeted every time and asked about our stay. Very comfortable and clean. Lots of selections on the tv as we were exhausted by days end. Slept great
the staff always goes out of there way to make sure every thing is good the owners Raj and Dina always aroud to talk to makes you feel at home. Stacie allways make sure your reservation is right and every thing is good
This was a typical Best Western in need of updates, especially flooring. The girls that checked us in and out were friendly, location not too far from DWF airport and family. Close to restaurants and other amenities.
Enjoyed a quiet simple stay. Clean rooms and lots of space. We used the pool area as well as breakfast, both were great for our stay. We always love our Best Western beds! Right near everything you could want or need but still very quiet. Beautiful church behind with a great walking path and water.
We booked a room in this hotel to attend a wedding for a family member. Reason for booking at this hotel is that other family members had also booked here and we thought it would be a good place to meet up. Straight up front, the hotel is over priced for the market it serves and the "services" it delivers. Really folks, this is Waxahachie, Texas. There are a fairly large number of other hotels to choose from unfortunately they are also overpriced for the market. We have stayed in other better upscale hotels in both Dallas and Fort Worth that had comparable and even lower rates. Now for the room. While the room was apparently clean but musty smelling and there was a noisy room ozonizer running in the hallway outside the room when we arrived. In many cases an ozonizer is used to remove smoke or noxious fumes and odors from the air. This lead to wondering on our part why it was there. Upon entering the bathroom i noticed that the sink drain had been mended in many places with black electric tape, very odd. A further look around the bathroom showed a large hole in the wall behind the commode had been patched with the same tape, as was a large hole under the sink counter top. Is it possible that they had a water leak somewhere and where trying to hide it by a mimimal attempt? As for the overall room, it was very disfunctional. The bathroom and shower were on one end of the room, while the closet, which was tiny (and I am being generous) was at the complete other end of the room. The shower also made no sense to us, as it was a walk in stall that you had to make 3 left hand turns to enter and when you did it appeared to have bearly enough room to move around in. All things being equal, we elected to check out the same day and just head home rather than stay for the night. When checking out to pay for the room, I requested the gal at the front desk to close out the portfolio and provide me with a zero balance statement. She told me it wasn't necessary, unfortunately I had been bitten once by this practice at a hotel where they added a lot of charges not incurred by me to the bill, so I always request a close out on the billing. It took several requests to get the close out on the billing, and then she could not figure out how to print the statement. Whats going on with that? Any respect will not be staying at this property again and will try another different brand like Marriott in the future.
This Place is very Clean and always welcoming. Jennifer and her Husband who both work 2nd and third shift are always so friendly. Close to Walmart, RaceTrac and many places to Dine or Shop. Very easy to find
We booked this hotel because other hotels at this price range were all booked for an special event. Pros: reasonable. Cons: wet carpet by the air conditioning unit, stained and/or deformed lamp shades. Breakfast: sausage and eggs but were not the best. Coffee was not good either. stay again: no.
Our room was very nice, clean and so cool as in the A/C was running beautifully!! Jennifer at the front desk as well as Valerie and Veronica made our stay welcoming and most accommodating. Will visit this hotel again!
8 hour car trip after work, so it a was late check in. Everything was so nice, easy checking in. Front area was clean. Room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy. We would definitely stay here again.
When booking our visit, we were skeptical because the room rate was so reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was clean and updated. The staff was most polite and the lady who works in the breakfast area was very kind. Speaking of the breakfast, wow, almost as good as going to a restaurant. The only issue that we had was the a/c wasn't cooling as well as it should. Besides that, we would definitely stay here again.
We just stayed here for four days. The first day I woke up with two bites, wasn't sure what they were. The last morning I had seventy, husband over 20, son 24. We looked for signs but didn't find any. There were zipped covers on the mattresses and box springs.First time we've dealt with this. Now we're home trying to prevent infesting our house.
I booked this hotel last minute, for great price, after driving for 14 hours. It was very clean, but with an initial cleaning product scent, comfortable beds, convenient to our route. Better breakfast than most with good selection & display, including a very tasty Texas shaped waffle.
Whoa! Has this town ever grown! This was a clean hotel. The room was spacious. Thought the towels and sheets were thin. It was nice having a couch in the room to relax on. They include a nice breakfast. The employees we interacted with were helpful. The location was easy access to where we were going.
There was a group of us staying here for our sons wedding. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything you would need. The hot breakfast each morning was a treat. There was a good variety of breakfast food and choices. The pool looked very nice, but it was still to cold to swim. The Staff was very friendly. This hotel is a great value for the price. Also, its in a great location with lots of stores and restaurants near.
It was cold for us, having come from the heat in East Africa. The rooms at the Best Western were comfortable, warm and clean. The breakfast was simple and the staff were very kind. Good value for money, a quiet place to stay.
Fast, friendly check in. Clean, quite room on 3rd floor. Comfortable beds & pillows. Nice to see smoking rooms are offered. Good location just off major highways with lots of shopping & food options nearby.
customer service can be better.the room was clean and spacious. With Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean restroom and shower. The water pressure was ok, can be improved. The hotel is on a good location close to restaurants and home improvement places too.
The hotel is easy to get too, close to shopping and dinning so no driving all over town to find food when tired. Room smells clean and refreshing, beds are clean and comfy. Breakfast was server on time no waiting for things to get done. was fresh and hot. Coffee was fresh. There is coffee, shampoo and conditioned in every room as well as plenty towels for everyone.
Hotel is in good geographical area to vist Dallas or suburbs. Service level at hotel is excellent. They treat you like Kin Folks !! Will go extra mile to make your stay a excellent one !! Will be back to visit with them.
Being familiar with the area, and seeking a better option, I placed a stay here based on some reviews that I saw from another site. I was hopeful that I would be ok. I am only giving this a two star because the front desk personnel was at least friendly and attempted to be as helpful as they could, within reason. I can say upon my arrival, the entry way to guest services and the dining area appeared to be clean and well kept. So yes, it was a good initial impression, but I did come for the room. My room, #120, was located on the 1st floor, which was a preference. I can say upon entering the room it appeared clean. The bed looked very comfortable but the sofa was dated and dingy looking. I guess I could look past that...Anyhow...my cell phone reception was horrible. I may have been ok but the WIFI was even worse. There is no high speed. This issue along is reason enough not to stay there but again it was late. I went to the restroom to wash my face only to discover the sink had a big leak when turning on the hot water. The lighting was very dim and could stand to be a little brighter. I looked in the shower and knew...I am not showering in there. It was like some one had been in the mine fields and had showered over and over and the build up from that remained. I am not saying that is the reason but what I am saying is apparently the showers need an overhaul. I then had an issue with the TV and it did not work. I did not want to have to move because I was exhausted but I at least need a TV, come on. So I was moved to the second floor , #220. Ok...I am done. I did not even want to stay in the room. I t was way worse than the 1st. The lampshade was beat up, did not appear they had vacuumed, there was no way I was sitting on the couch as it looked worse than second hand and not to mention a dog or something chewed up the coffee table and I am not talking small chewing either. I attempted to make it work, took my bleach cleaner and sprayed down the shower and literally brown residue came up...so gross. I ran the shower water and it took a while to heat up and the pressure was horrible. I could not do it. I inspected the bed left my clothes on and went to sleep and went to a family members home to shower the next day. I informed the front desk of my experience and I will say although they were friendly the response was "oh ok" ... thanks for telling us. But nothing would be done and I could tell. I will never stay here again. I told them to cancel my reservation and in reality they owed me a refund.
I was very happy with my stay. Everything was perfect. Will certainly stay here again.the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Plenty to choose from. Close to alot of shops and eating places.
the hotel is clean and next door to buffalo wild wings, mexican food, across the street canes chicken, Stacy made sure everything was allright, the owners Raji and Dina allways talk to you and ask if every thing is allright just a great hotel
I'll start this review off with a little background on the amazing staff. Veronica was THE absolute sweetest, and made our entire stay 100x better. Anything we needed, she made sure it got done. I've stayed in Best Western's before, and this was hands-down one of the best. Glad I chose this hotel to spend my 3-day weekend.
Barbers ,the morning breakfast organizer , she made our breakfast experience very pleasant that she kept the place clean her and her staff she would come around and talk to us and ask us if we have everything that we needed if not she would make sure that we received it I hope you can honor her for being there for the customers not just me but everybody in the kitchen area thank you
First room (220) the toilet seat was off and the table was CHEWED through. See picture...how did housekeeping not report a toilet seat off and a table that a dog gnawed through? I reported it and was moved to 118. Roaches in bathroom which I reported, next day more roaches on the towels in bathroom, on the little loveseat, and a dead one by the refrigerator. I reported it, the desk clerk wrote it down...yet neither the GM nor the office manager bothered to call or email or say anything to me. Clearly they aren't responsive management. I completed the post-checkout BW survey and got a canned, "We hope you'll give us another try the next time you are in town" or something like that. The office manager that (was compelled to?) responded to the survey didn't even acknowledge what was in the survey. If the work schedule wasn't so packed I'd have left after night one. As it was I stayed here three nights. Three miserable nights. Can't believe this place is considered a BW "plus" property. Don't stay here, management is not responsive to what you report to the Front Desk (do they even check with them?), professional or caring.
First room they gave me (220): toilet seat was OFF, and the table in the room was shredded/looked like it had been chewed by a big dog. Damp odor in the room completed the experience. Second room they gave me (118): roaches. I killed three big roaches in two days. I shouldn't have paid for the room. Sara at the front desk was very nice and commiserated with me for the problems with my stay. I am a BW Rewards member and will write the GM. I don't know how this is a "Plus" property. Even the TV remote was a problem -- wrapped in tape because the back piece was broken. Very unsanitary!!
Stuck in a room next to vey heavy smoker that made the hall smell and since we were next door it was very bad to the point of making us sick. The stairwell was dirty and beds are hard. Ask for a late checkout and was only given till 12:00.
Overall, a nice hotel for your traveling needs. Appearance of the hotel is nice and inviting. Beds and rooms are clean and comfortable. I traveled for business and was very pleased with having a quiet room to work in.
Nicely appointed rooms. Our experience was excellent from check in to check out. Friendly staff, nice facilities, great beds! Our child is contemplating attending SAGU and this hotel will be a go to for visits if she decides to attend.
Took a weekend trip to Waco and booked here. The check-in clerk was very polite and courteous. The room was comfy and their way plenty of room. The shower was nice and different, for me, no door or curtain. Stepped inside and then stepped around. Very nice place.
It was a family stay and it wasn't quite up to par in our opinion. The so it conditioner didn't have the constant fan option, and there wasn't any non-dairy milk options for cereal. Our son has a dairy intolerance so that was an issue for us. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, the air was cold, and the water was hot for showers.
Thank goodness we only spent one night. Entire second floor smelled incredibly bad including our room. We complained- nothing. We went to dinner and it still reeked when we returned. We complained again after we sought out the source was a full trash can near the elevator and were promised again for remedy, even pretending to call someone. Later that night we checked and nothing had been done. Back to the same woman with a stern complaint. She promised she'd take care of it herself, right then. Nothing!!! Damn thing finally emptied at 8 the next morning, we witnessed. Wanted to sling the nasty trash over the front desk! Appalling!!! Never going back!!!
I originally chose this hotel for convenience to our business location. I had not stayed at a BW hotel before and I was very happy with the overall cleanliness and appearance of this hotel. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be using this hotel for our business travelers in the future.
I was in town for the annual Vetearn's Day event and made reservations for the night. Checking in was smooth as was making the initial reservation. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the decor nice. All in all, a good room for a good rate. Will be back next year!
Look for the Best Western when in Waxahachie, Texas. They are very well located and offer a good nights sleep and breakfast is ready when you are. Don't be late, they quit serving at 9:30. Shopping and eating places are nearby.
Rooms great, comfortable bed good breakfast and friendly staff. Just hate they jack price up on weekend stayed earlier in week and it was 68.00 Saturday was 110.09 to me that is price gouging. Location was great.
Good value. We situated. Very nice employees. Comfortable and clean: internet could be faster. A lightning strike impacted television and elevator service, but was fixed over two days. The bed was very comfortable, the thermostat worked fine (frequently a problem in hotels!). All in all a very good experience.
During my stay, the hotel was experiencing some short of power outage. The fire alarm panel was beeping nonstop (only at the Front Desk) and the ladies still did their job with a smile on their face even though I can imagine they were going crazy. Elevator was down but they had staff ready and willing to help anyone who needed help with luggage. At a time where their hands were tied, there was no immediate fix, they handled the situation with professionalism and grace and I commend the staff for doing so. I know not all the guests were as understanding as most, but they did not let that affect their attitude. Even though there was issues, I would definitely stay here again.
It's almost like home when you stay at Best Western Hotel in Waxahachie, Tx. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful during my stay. The pool was clean and cool after a hard days work. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you. David
Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful. I slept great and my kids enjoyed themselves and the Texas shaped waffle with chocolate chips! Nice touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
We went looking for a decent hotel in the Midlothian, TX / Waxahachie, TX area. The Best Western Plus in Waxahachie is the only hotel, sub $100, that is worth the stay. We were very disappointed in the other hotels in the area. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff are very nice.
Nice place to stay but they triple charged us for the rooms because of all of the events in town and they knew you had no other choice but to pay their price. Felt like all the hotels in the area are taking advantage of their customers.
Staff is great. We stay at this hotel every time we travel to Waxahachie tx. we have family there. The manager has a great personality, very polite and helpful. we will continue to stay at the Best western Plus in Waxahachie tx.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and have already booked our next stay here which is next month. The decor is so nice, breakfast was really good, and we especially loved the step-in shower. This will be the only place we stay in Waxahachie.
The hotel was on the outskirts of Waxahatche. Staff was helpful in giving directions pleasant and friendly. The room was nice with refrigerator, coffee maker, WiFi worked well and breakfast were very good with a selection of sausage, biscuits, gravy and cheese omlet..
Front desk staff were polite & efficient. Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was very good also. Only negative for me, was all the smokers were allowed to stand at the main entrance & smoke. I had to walk through a cloud of smoke every time I went in & out.
There were burn holes in the bedspread and sheets. The room smelled terrible, like cigarette smoke. There was no iron in the room. I went to the from desk and was given one, I took it back, hope I am not charged for it. The door to our room and to be slammed before it would close, or open. But Breakfast was great!!
The room stunk really bad! It seemed to have a moisture problem also. The service desk was nice the next morning but I won't go back. There was a pacifier in between the two beds and I guess formula in front of the fridge. I am Not sure one set of sheets were clean on one bed.
We found the hotel and our room to be well maintained and the staff was very courteous. Beds were comfortable and our room was great for our stay. Our only complaint would be the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom to prevent it from fogging up and becoming hot while showering.
We stopped here one night on the way to San Antonio. It was very clean and nice with a good breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay here again. My husband left his wallet And the staff held it for us until we came back through.
I've stayed at this hotel twice. It's not bad and near everything in town. The second time we came in, they gave us a room that was already occupied. They quickly resolved and were very sorry for the error. They gave us a larger room with 2 king beds in exchange. Only issue with that was there was no night table to put stuff on. Since we were each in our own bed. We just used the other side of the bed as a night table. The pool area is very nice! We enjoyed a day of lounging by it. Sure we'll stay there again should we visit the area.
We were not offered any extras being platinum members. We were told we had to be at least a diamond. Refrigerator had rotten food in it. Hardly anything left at breakfast and they (reluctantly) made eggs were disc shaped and hard. Not good. I ended up getting a cup of milk and eating my own cereal that I had in the car. NO water pressure!!
The staff was friendly and helpful. This location far exceeded my expectations. We needed a new remote and they were there almost immediately to program it. Everyone at the front desk was kind and cheerful. This was one of our best hotel experiences
One of the best Best Westerns that I stay at. The room have been re done lately and the bedding are some of the most comfortable that I see in my travels. The help especially Tesa is always pleasant and helpful. The buffet is great and away clean.
Spent 1 night here. The room was as expected. The staff was great. Breakfast good but very crowded. They could use a bigger breakfast space. We enjoyed the pool but wished they had a hot tub. Nice stay.
Our room was clean except for some scuff marks on the wall. Friendly staff. The only complaint would be the air freshener smell in the room. I have chemical sensitivities and specifically asked that the room be free of those types of smells.
Nice place to get some rest, rooms were clean and hotel well kept, If requesting a later check out double check to make sure they annotate it on your record. over all a good experience and would stay here again next time I am in Wax.
We found the staff to be most pleasant and helpful during our two night stay. Complimentary breakfast was very good and plentiful. Location was easy to find and there was ample parking available. Only thing lacking was an alphabetical listing of available TV channels....spent way too much time scrolling through channel guide to find desired stations. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity occurs.
N/a good work just a problem with the tv remote An phone was not working other than I really enjoyed my stay bes was very comfortable I will be coming back soon just hope I get a room with everything is working
I always stay at this location when visiting Waxahachie area. If you want to be treated like royalty !! Staff will break their backs handling your every request. Hotel is well maintained. Excellent location to get around town.
Rooms and hallways smell like cigarette smoke. Horrible. Staff did not reserve enough rooms. One rooms non-smoking only. Had to move to another hotel which does not allow smoking in the hotel...novel idea! I used this hotel many times before. Surprised by the poor customer service.
Love the staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always amazing. I have been coming to this hotel for the last 7 years. Even tho my son works for LaQuinta and I could get a better price there.
We stayed two nights for a family reunion, using motel rooms and their large meeting room. The staff did a good job helping us have a good reunion. I would recommend this Best Western motel as a place to stay or organize a meeting.
I recommend it, very, very clean. Lots of space, the pool is outdoor and wonderful. Good breakfast, very quiet room, I could not hear my neighbors taking a shower in the morning. I enjoyed my stay and I would book it again.
this hotel is very clean the rooms are very nice the internet is great easy to get to even has truck parking next door to a mexican food restaurant an Buffalo Wild Wings on the other sideall the help are very nice an helpful
It was quiet and peaceful. The lobby and my room was so clean. The next morning I ate breakfast in a clean dining area with the best coffee to drink and hot biscuits and gravy. I will chose Best Western as my place to stay.
Shower water flow problemmatic. Sink water flow fine, but shower head flow just above a trickle. Staff alerted. I like saving water but this was a trial just getting wet. So I need to give at least 30 more words to this evaluation :-(. Breakfast items announced bacon. But for that Tuesday potatoes had been substituted yet the sign on the serving container said bacon. Potatoes do not make a a substitute for bacon or any other protein. There were scrambled eggs for protein, but nothing on the line other than the pork bits in the gravy.
The rooms have motions sensors of some sort in them that control the AC. I could never get the room to cool down to what I wanted because of this. Not sure how the sensors are suppose to work but they epic failed on us. I baked the entire night :( if it would not have been for that would have been a great hotel!
Nice place to stay, staff was friendly, double queen room was a nice size. They should offer cheaper rates to individuals staying extended periods (over 30days) due to relocation. All Resturaunts and shopping extremely close so you don't have to travel far to find anything.
Love this hotel. I stay here 8 nights out of each month and I'm never disappointed. The staff is very helpful and nice. Check in and out are very quick. Rooms and beds are comfortable. I highly recommend this place.
I always stay here, but it had been 2 yrs since last stay, so I did a price comparison with Choice and BW. BW came in lower and I am glad they did, because I love the location, and staff. Easy access to the local restaurants..
For years now Tessa and the rest of the staff has taken GREAT care of us! We will not stay anywhere else when we visit family in Waxahachie. Hotel is close, convenient and always a great value. Doesn't hurt, either, that it is right next door to Buffalo Wild Wings so a late night of drinks and trivia requires nothing more than a walk across the parking lot to get "home"!
Would stay here again in future. Tessa was great at helping us find a room and giving us information about things to do in town and the surrounding area. All of the staff were friendly and constantly asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything.
We stopped here on our way to San Antonio from Arkansas. It was right on the way and very clean for a good rate. Was very pleased with the room, comfortable bed and the breakfast. Staff was very accommodation. Great value.
My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel and rooms were clean and very well appointed with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast was good and had something each of us liked. Great restaurants within walking distance. Shopping across the street! Only 1 hour to Waco! Also the downtown area of Waxahachie is really cute and vibrant.
Everything was perfect. Friendly staff , extra clean rooms , comfortable beds. Tresa Martinez was the desk clerk and she went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Irecommend this hotel to everyone.
Overall, a great stay and a good price. Wasn't overly fancy, but to be expected, but very comfortable and quiet. I do not stay at Best Western hardly at all, but this stay will make me consider BW's in the future.
We stay here for the drag races every year. The facility is very nice and clean. Tesa goes above and beyond to ensure we have a positive experience each stay. She is always interacting with all the guest making sure their needs are met. She really makes the experience top notch. Thanks again for another great stay!
I was on business here and had to stay a second night expectantly. Searching for a location I found this one and I am glad I did. From the friendly greeting by Tesa as I was checking in to the really clean, spacious room, to the great breakfast. When I am in town again I will certainly make a bee line to this location.
I want to say how much Tesa at the Best Western Plus in Waxahachie saved us. We had booked a room at another hotel in town. The condition of the other hotel was deplorable. We promptly asked for a refund and started to look around. I got on Trivago and found that there was one room left here at the Best Western Plus. I immediately booked it as we were just a couple of miles away. Most rooms in this area were already booked so we were lucky! When we got here Tesa was at the front desk and after the nightmare of finding a new hotel, she was really more than helpful in getting us booked into our room and assisted in adding another night on as well. I highly recommend this Best Western. We got a nonsmoking room with the King Bed on the first floor. The room and the amenities are really first class!!! Everytime we come this way, we'll be staying here!
I want to give a shout out to the people of the Best Western here in Waxahachie, Texas. We had looked around at local venues and had booked one until we saw the condition. We decided to decline and look around. My wife got on Trevago and found that there was one room left here at the Best Western. She promptly booked it we were just a couple of miles away. Most rooms in this area were already booked due to a local college homecoming! When we got here the nice young lady at the front desk whose name was Tesa was really more than helpful in getting us booked into our room!!! I highly recommend this Best Western. We got a no smoking room with the King Bed on the first floor. The room and the amenities are really first class!!! Believe me, we'll be staying here again!
This is a very nice, clean, professional hotel. Rooms, service and breakfast are always great. free internet, free parking. And the best part is Tesa at the front desk - efficient and lifts your spirits no matter how bad your day has been. Near several restaurants and shopping, My only hotel when i am in South Dallas!
Ah this place is a whiz bang wonder out on the rolling green plains of Greater Dallas! Can't say enough about this place! Even though I thought they'd lost the plot when they removed the Texas-shaped waffles (terrible idea, that's like taking the Bible's out of a hotel room) but this place has bounced back like 2010 Britney Spears! They've got the fire back! The dance moves are there! And they're looking more foxy than ever! Sports your thing? There is a BW3 across the parking lot! They even let you set up a tailgate in the parking lot!! I saw a guy out there dancing like he'd just found the lord. For you folks out there that need a lil something something, there is a snack bar in the lobby that is 100% stocked with you favorites. French bread pizza? You got it! Twizzlers? They must buy em by the truckload. They also are very accommodating! We needed a large room with enough space to practice for our event and they were like 'y'all got it!' I heard that when president Jimmy Carter is in town he likes to swim here, but I can't confirm it. Stop by and look for him!
Excellent Hotel. Customer service is great. Employees were quick to help when needed. The Breakfast was good, featuring eggs, biscuits and gravy and waffles!! Room was clean and comfortable. Will stay hear the next time.
A really nice best western that comes at an affordable price. It's just off the highway, close to a ton of restaurants, and not far from downtown Waxahacie. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great.
Anytime that I am in Dallas Fort worth I would rather stay here. Staff are very accommodating and rooms are clean. Grounds are kept neat and trimmed. Several restaurants in the parking lot with this hotel. Shopping mall with many other amenities across the street. Very easy to get in and out of hotel and access interstate.
The exterior and interior of this hotel stands out. Although all the hotels in the Ellis County are mostly seen from the highway, you must go to the outskirts to get to the Best Western Ex.And they do not disappoint you. ....just do not eat breakfast close to closing time. There LaQuinta Hotels got you beat. Except too the Best Western in Corsicana. Well see ya. If I venture away from Corsicana again, I'm going to Dallas!!!
Hotel was great and clean. The problem is within the maid staff. Better not let them service your room with your belongings in there. As they will help there self to them. And so far nothing was done about it accept apologies from the front desk. Also left a charger plugged in the room and guess what noone turned it in!
The outside and entrance area is clean. Enough parking places available. The rooms are somehow humid. Air condition is running all the time, but it's still some kind of humidity in the room. The clothes even feel a little bit damp. Not sure why. After checking in, we had to change rooms. The bathroom was dirty, towels weren't fresh. The second room had a cracked toilet seat and grey spots on one sheet. Otherwise clean. Breakfast was average. Scrambled eggs were tasty. Otherwise usual complimentary breakfast. But even 45 minutes before closing, they didn't fill up the jam, fruits and cereals anymore. Second day no fruits available 1 hour before breakfast time was over. The juices and even the water from the juice machine didn't taste good. Overall rating: I would go there again if I would have too, but look for something else first.
Really clean hotel. Booked on-line and then called & requested a "non pet friendly" room and they were happy to accommodate. Wished bed was more comfortable. Will stay here again while visiting family.
I have has much better experiences at Best Westerns in the past. The location was convenient for what my stay was for, however the bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was not up to the quality of what I usually get from the Best Western Hotels.
I enjoyed my stay, rooms were clean and comfortable, no bathtub, but a spacious walk in shower. Beds comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Had a small problem with check out, but Tessa handled it for me, she's good at what she does.
overall we were happy with our stay, the beds were comfortable and they were able to put our family together in rooms near to each other. The pool was nice and relaxing, really enjoyed the covered patio area.
Tessa and the front desk crew are amazing, friendly, accommodating and always with a smile on her face, the genuinely refreshing Tessa is a breath of fresh air. Clean rooms and linens, speedy response time for all requests I felt like I was in a 4-star hotel.
We walked in and were greeted by Tesa Martinez she greeted us with a smile,We needed short term place to stay after moving around from hotel to hotel she said she could accommodate us for the length of time we needed and was very kind .The shower was best I have ever had at a hotel and beds are super comfortable, Thanks to the staff and Tessa for all there help.
Was here for meeting, which ran longer than expected. Staff allowed me to have a latter check out time. Very clean hotel with well maintained landscaping, the staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Would recommend this hotel, if you are planning a visit to this area.
very nice place to stay ,very comfortable beds ,really nice shower, and the Little NINJA behind the counter was the most helpful person that i have run into in a long time, next time we are in town we will definitely go there to stay
The hotel is fine over all. staff is ditsy. food was not very good. The location is in a good part of town. close to shopping at new stores. I have stayed here before and it was better. there are cheaper and better places to stay. we traveled four and a half hours to visit family for the weekend. If your staying there just to sleep it will be fine. If you have to ask front desk folks any questions then you might want to stay at another location.
We stayed here while attending graduation for family member in Midlothian. We used two rooms and were very satisfied except when we had parking problems because there were big trucks parked there using 3 or 4 parking spots one night. We complained the next morning and it was better the next night.
Whenever we are in the Dallas area, we feel the Best Western hotels are the most economical and the safest. They also offer a clean environment for a temporary stay. The hotel is located in a centralized location, which is surrounded by eateries, wal-mart, target and just about anything you will need during your short stay.
We stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend. It was our first time to stay since Best western franchise took over. The check in was prompt and friendly on Friday evening. The room was clean and I really liked the floor plan. Someone even called the room after about 20 minutes to see if we had everything we needed. Our experience was great with these two exceptions. First and this is rather trivial but in this age of technology I consider relevant. There was one socket available with one open plug under the desk. Fortunately we had a power strip with us. There should be USB ports in the lamps or strips installed. No points deducted for this. Second and the real problem was that on Saturday morning our coffee pot didn't work. I called the front desk and the clerk said she would have it checked out. We went downstairs for coffee. Saturday night I checked and the pot had not been checked. Water was still setting in it. Next morning I went downstairs for coffee and spoke to the desk clerk. She was blonde and admitted to be the person I talked to the morning before. She even remembered the room number. Once again she promised to get it fixed. End of day we returned to the room. Coffee pot still filled with water, no change. I unplugged it emptied it and took it to the front desk where I found the dark haired girl who checked us in. She apologized and exchanged the pot. My gripe is not with the coffee pot but with the blonde desk clerk who didn't follow through. She does not deliver the customer service level that it is obvious this hotel is striving to maintain. This cost them a star. Third point is I wish they had a hot tub. After a long day at fair a hot soak is nice. No points taken off for lack of one, just saying. Overall we had a pleasant experience and slept well. The location is convenient and easy to find and access.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is conveniently located and we've always been well taken care of. On our last visit, we encountered a problem with our room. Although we were told the room (315) was non-smoking, there were ashtrays on the dresser and an odor. We thought perhaps pipe smoke or perhaps it was the cleaning products used to cover the smoke odor. The bathroom floor was not well cleaned. At our request we were moved to another room for the remainder of the stay. Breakfast was the usual fare, although "biscuits" were actually dinner rolls. There were a limited number of muffins and only a few slices of bread. If you want yogurt, you have to ask the attendant for it. Breakfast area was clean, coffee was plentiful.
We had to stay in a smoking room due to the busy weekend, this was the only room available. When we arrived in our room, we almost fell over choking due to the overwhelming sickening smoke in the room. It was as if the maids had a smoking party in our room before we arrived. I do expected for the room to smell of smoke, however, I did not expect to feel like I had smoked a carton of cigarettes when I awoke the next morning. This is not my chief complaint. The most appalling issue was that the room was equipped with smoke filters to purify the air. These filters were so incredibly nasty. They looked as though they had not been cleaned since they were installed. Even worse than that, the air conditioner was the same way. When we reported the issue upon checkout, the first thing that they did was send the maid, maintenance man and a manager to inspect the room to confirm that we weren't lying. While that was taking place the young lady at the front desk informed me that they had just had people in to clean and inspect the air purifiers, a/c filters and smoke detectors, and they couldn't understand how this happened. They also told us that the maid is supposed to inspect and clean these items everyday and that this must have been an accidental over site. We expressed that this wasn't a one time thing, it was very obvious that it had been this way for an incredibly long time. After confirming that we were being truthful, they told us that they inspected the room across the hall and it was clean and maintained, so our room was apparently the only room with this issue and must have just been overlooked. They gave us a 10% discount. REALLY, 10%!!!
You can actually get a smoking room here. If you want to smoke this is the place any closer to Dallas and they are all no smoking despite what the web site says. The hotel is clean and reasonably quiet. Desk staff is friendly no complaints.
We were displaced from our home by a power outage, so we decided to go to the Best Western in Waxahachie to get a good night's sleep. The room was very cold (quickly remedied by an adjustment of the thermostat), and, while there were coffee fixins in the room, there was no coffee pot in which to prepare them ( it was too late for coffee anyway, but it's the principle of the thing!). I was a little worried about the price we were quoted by the reservation agent, but was pleased with the final bill...$20 less than the quote! (The desk agent (Sara) was much easier to communicate with than the telephone agent, which was reassuring!) The rest of the experience was quite enjoyable. The only thing I missed was a Jacuzzi, but that's a small price to pay for a relaxing night after the day we had! We shall return!
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Great night's sleep. Friendly staff. Location was very convenient. Close to freeway; easy on and off. Close to restaurants and stores. Wish we could have stayed for breakfast; we had to leave very early in the morning. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
We came down here on a mini vacation and really enjoyed our stay here. Sara was really helpful and she recommended several places to try and eat at. Everything is literally down the main road so you can never get lost and drive far for anything. we will be back when we are in the area. this place was clean and the breakfast was really good for a hotel breakfast.
First, let me say that I'm not a big fan of Best Western. This hotel has changed my mind. We got the queen suite & it was wonderful. Firm mattresses & fresh clean linens greeted us. Being shower lovers, we had no problem with the shower-only bathroom which was big. Breakfast had hot & cold items-very tasty. The only complaint I had was the desk never gave us our wake-up call, which is important for hotels. We would stay here again.
The room is welcoming and so very comfortable. The staff so far is very friendly. The pool is beautiful. The wifi works pretty well. The hotel is very, very clean. They serve a hot breakfast, not just waffles and muffins and cereal, but alternating with eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy, etc. We are super super satisfied!!!
Very clean room and the staff was very friendly. I have to come to Texas often to pick up my son. This is by far one of the best hotels that I've stayed in, and it's located next door to several restaurants to choose from. I will be staying here again the next time I'm in Texas.
Tessa has been very helpful and a joy to speak with while booking my hotel rooms. While the rest of Waxahathi, Corsicanna and Ennis are all booked and raising their rates during a race weekend. She has gone out of her way to make this a joy. I have called her numerous times today to ensure my future reservation. I feel like now she is a great friend and definitely is amazing at her job. I travel with very hard to please people and have numerous requests, Tessa has fulfilled each request and has gone above and beyond my needs. We can't wait for our trip and I can't wait to meet her. Thank you Tessa
Nice quiet clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was just okay not much variety. Very weak shower, but room was nice and beds were comfortable. Very quiet and easy access to this hotel in Waxahacie, Texas. Good Parking with easy highway access. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other travelers.
Clean, quiet, GREAT bed. Television system remote is easy to understand (big plus!). Staff go above and beyond. Tessa and Sara (front desk) are both gems. Really comfortable place. It is now our go-to hotel in Waxahachie.
I needed to stay at a hotel during a business trip and chose Best Western Plus Waxahachie Inn & Suites. Not only is the hotel in a perfect location but it was clean, and the staff was great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. And something that some hotels overlook - since I was in town on business, I was happy for a good, working iron. This hotel is very accommodating.
Stopped at hotel after leaving Fort Worth Texas. Easy to find and access. Reception great and staff very friendly and accommodating. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit sparse as there was limited fresh fruit.
We stayed in a king suite on the side of the building which faces the road. The hot rodders were so load we had to turn the fan on to mask the noise. The bed was hard as a rock. Large group of boisterous men outside when we arrived smoking right by the front door. The facility is nice but the noise, bed, and questionable characters by the front door ruined our visit.
From our first encounter with the reception staff, the very comfortable bed and the great breakfast, our stay was memorable. Restaurants are very close by. Would recommend this Best Western to anyone.
I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and the experience is always the same, excellent! The reception staff is kind, friendly and greets me by name, the room is always clean and properly stocked and when I needed shirts dry cleaned, they had them sent out then delivered back to my room. Great staff!
Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times over the past few years for business. Great service is always give by the front desk. Rooms are in good condition. Laundry facility is kept up. No problems with wireless internet. Nice pool area as well.
We've stayed here twice while having extensive renovations done to our home. The staff is so friendly and quick to lend a hand with anything you need. The location couldn't be better. You have a traffic light to safely get in and out of the parking lot. There are a ton of good restaurants within a mile. We were very impressed with how clean and tastefully decorated the rooms are. Oh, and free breakfast! We've had family members stay here when coming to visit and they loved it too!
Friendly, clean, wonderfully comfortable hotel. Only negative at all, were the smokers who all clustered around the front door, when I was coming in, and going out. ?? Maybe they need a smoking area away from the general public.
I have stayed here multiple times for work. The counter staff has always been very polite, and the rooms are setup nice and kept clean even compared to other Best Westerns which I am usually pretty happy with. This particular location is convenient since there are several restaurants right next door to walk to and it is in a quiet area despite being close to major highways.
This hotel was great. My company put me up in this hotel while I was doing Orientation. The staff was all wonderful. Stacy, Tesa, Veronica, Shaneka, and Jennifer were all courteous and helpful. Maria, the breakfast host is a sweetheart. I will definitely come back to this hotel when I am on my downtime.
Clean rooms, great staff (Tesa and Stacy always greet me by name, the other ladies are also very nice & accommodating), good breakfast, decent price. Stay here if you're in Waxahachie. Also, there's a great Church located just behind this hotel and they were very welcoming.
I love staying at this hotel when I'm in the area. The rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious and the location is perfect, it has 2 restaurants next door in case you're tired from traveling and want a quick bite. The staff is amazing. The first time I booked this location it was through Expedia and they somehow booked a smoking room, one of the nice ladies at the desk called me to confirm I wanted a smoking room which I didn't as I had children with me, she was able to change it and got us all taken care of. I call that going above and beyond, it was not a mistake on their part but they were able to correct it to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area and want a nice, clean hotel at a reasonable price.
I stayed her with 7 friends and we had 3 rooms. All the rooms had double queens, which seems harder to find these days. 2 of the rooms also had fold out couches. The rooms were very large and roomy. Had a coffee pot with several types of coffee, a big bathroom, and the rooms seemed clean. The bed was very comfortable, and it had 4 pillows, although they were small. The front desk was very friendly, and the breakfast was very good, and included eggs, bacon, waffles and several other items. The hotel and grounds all seemed clean and in a good area, right off the freeway. For $90 per room, you can't beat it!
The Best Western Plus Waxahachie is a relaxing, quiet hotel with all the amenities for a traveller. Lots of restaurant choices close by. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. The guest laundry, with washers and dryers, is a great idea.
I stay at this hotel at least one night every 2 weeks for business. I always have a great experience with the staff, the room is always perfect and in the past 6 months I have been staying at this location, I have only had 1 minor item (the maid service accidently left 2 conditioners instead of 1 shampoo. I called the front desk and someone brought a shampoo immediately and apologized for the inconvenience. Always very polite and the check-in staff greet me by name when I come through the door.
The room was clean, well-furnished, had a good TV and internet connection. It was certainly worth the cost. My only negative comment would be the rugs on the flooring. While in most areas it was fine, there were a couple of areas where it was raised and worn. However, all things considered, the staff were great and helpful and the room was kept beautifully. It was certainly a good choice for our two night stay.
This hotel (if I can call it that - more like a family) has been a wonderful experience due to the amazing staff and wonderful accommodations. Tesa Martinez at the front desk was amazing!!! Words can not express how wonderful she was to us. I ended up stranded here and was running extremely low on very important medications. We explained that to her and she arranged a ride to the local CVS so I could get my refills! Above and beyond any hotel I have ever stayed in and will gladly return to this hotel given the chance. Thank you all for the wonderful experience even under the difficult situation we were in at the time. Tesa you were amazing and a wonderful lady to us! Words can't express how thankful I am to have had your help and understanding! Above and beyond and the sweetest lady I have met in quite some time!
Upon check in, did not acknowledge me - would not look up from her more important paper work. Upon check out, didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay, or to have a safe trip home. We stayed 5 nights by the way! Oh, and the pet deposit is $15 per day! We have 2 dog but wow that seemed excessive!
This Best Western in Waxahachie is very nice. Clean, very quiet and secure. My King room was pleasantly decorated with a large work desk, comfortable reading chair, wall-mounted flat-screen TV and microwave, frig, coffee-maker, etc. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Locted north of town but only about 15 min drive to courthouse. Traffic around 77 and 287 can be tough at rush hour and on weekends. The hotel is located between Buffalo Wild Wings and Ta Molly's Tex-Mex restaurants and many fast food places as you go south on 77. Nice outdoor pool and patio. Courteous, efficient staff. Four stars for clean, quiet room and very comfortable bed.
We were looking for someplace south of Dallas that was inexpensive and had plenty of room for my brood. We had plenty of space in our suite and the rate was fantastic for a suite. The room was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with the A/C, but it turns out the thermostat was just weird and not registering properly. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of options and very tasty. My kids are always pleased with Texas shaped waffles, and i like sausage and eggs. If you're travelling near Dallas, Waxahachie is a good area to stay and it's nice and quiet. You won't find rates like this closer to the metro.
The newly remodeled rooms were very nice. Loved the decor. However, at check in, we were told both our rooms were ready. One had no toilet paper (never did get it- we just gave up and bought our own),and the second room hadn't been touched. We waited in the one room (8 of us) for them to clean it . Their *20 minutes* turned into over an hour. The cleaning lady had drapes open while she cleaned, so when we walked by and looked to see if she was about done (we were tired - just drove 10 hours to get there ) we saw a 6ish year old boy bouncing and laying all over the clean sheets she had just put on! How sanitary is that and it brings security concerns for when our rooms were cleaned during stay if we didn't lock everything up!! During our 3 night stay, when the rooms did get cleaned, there would be trash bags left on our bathroom counter from ANOTHER ROOM, and only some of the beds were made. We gave up asking for help due to the rudeness we encountered and were not comfortable at all. It had an all over undesirable even though the neighborhood wasn't itself bad- I wouldn't suggest staying there with children.
I loved this hotel and the employees there but was very sad when I visited there the other day and was told they don't want truck driver customers there anymore and was also told my rate would be going up simply because I am a truckdriver. It was a nice affordable place to stay but now I belive they are overcharging people for a nights stay.
I travel weekly nationwide and have never had this hard of a time. Booked nonsmoking and they tried to make me take a smoking room. Refused to refund even after Priceline requested them to.. (which never happens).
I am a faithful Best Western customer, and travel frequently. This hotel is beautifully appointed, and the desk clerk is delightful and extremely helpful. One of housekeepers proactively gave me some necessary tips regarding the workings of this specific microwave. I wish I were staying longer. I assure you I will be back. I did see something here I had not seen before. They have excellent (Marie Callendar) microwaveable dinners in stock. I was tired and dreading going out for dinner, but knew I needed to eat. I had a lovely pasta and pesto dinner. It was the perfect amount and was very tasty. Good idea!
I come to this hotel for 2 nights every 2 weeks for business in this city. Every single stay at this location has exceeded expectations in every way. The rooms are VERY clean, maid service is thorough and the guest service staff greets me by name as I walk up to the desk. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience..
Stayed for 3 nights, hotel was clean and the staff amazing! The only things that kept it from a 5 star rating were: Skimpy pillows and the pillow top on the bed was very thin. We asked for additional pillows; but, none were available. Barking dogs in a room nearby. No freezer compartment in the fridge. I must commend them on their breakfast... GREAT bisquits and gravy! All of the housekeeping staff spoke excellent English... not what I am accoustomed to in So. Calif. Easy access to all of Waxahachie, and an easy commute to/from DFW.
This hotel is clean and convenient. Room has everything you need, refrig, coffee pot and microwave. I particularly enjoyed the shower vs having to navigate one inside a tub. I had no trouble with the in room WiFi, but you have to ask for the password at the front desk. It is located right between two restaurants - Ta Molly's Mexican and Buffalo Wild Wings (and next to them a Popeye's Chicken). Hotel breakfast was o.k. and had all the usual assortment. Plus staff were in the breakfast room to answer any questions and help. Breakfast is set up everyday at 6:30 (unlike most hotels that set up late on weekends). My only problem was I left my make-up bag in the bathroom. Called back to front desk, but they were unable to locate it.
