Best Western Sycamore Inn

Quiet, clean, modern property with friendly staff. Spacious, well-appointed room. Hot breakfast included: pancakes, omelets, and more. Good value. We've stayed here several times. There are cheaper lodging options nearby, but they aren't as nice.

Easy to find location. Check in was easy and Mary was exceptional. Room was very clean. TV not working, otherwise a great stay. Breakfast area was clean and food was fresh. Same basic fare, but well prepared and enjoyable. Italian restaurant next door with excellent food.

This hotel was just across from the good Texas Longhouse restaurant for our dinner as we just walked to and from. We really liked the receptionist with her excellent host attitude and was willing to keep our freezer pad in her office refrigerator as our suite refrigerator did not have a freezer. Breakfast was excellent because boiled eggs were firmly-cooked and very good tasty sausages with folded cheese eggs.

The entire staff at this hotel was very nice, the pool was very clean and towels were already on chairs, the room was clean and nice and the breakfast was great, overall we had a great experience with this hotel

This was a nice, basic hotel to stay at, and the pricing was reasonable. They have a pool but it's basically in the lobby and you can see in through a glass window, which would make swimming a little uncomfortable for me personally. They offer breakfast but it's pretty modest and nothing special. You have your basic cereal, waffles and yogurt though. The breakfast area is also in the lobby and could get kind of crowded at times. Rooms are pretty nice and clean. Generous amount of towels available (not always a given), bath. I would not use the hotel soap again, it was weirdly sticky and impossible to wash off. Full-body mirror, space for your outerwear. Pillows were pretty uncomfortable and only one per person, which was inadequate for myself. Overall this was a good, no-nonsense hotel stay and all the basics were there. No bigger complaints!

The room was nice and clean. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but once it was ready, it was nice. I really liked the hot water in the shower. There was a nice size microwave and fridge in the room as well. I would stay definitely stay again.

This hotel has been remodeled and the rooms are very nice. The rooms are very quiet. I heard nearly no hallway noise and didn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely stay here again.

This is the place to stay in Sycamore IL if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place like home. The staff is excellent and it is close to many nice restuarants, If you go the last full week in October, this sweet town has a festival that is delightful.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Best Western in Sycamore, Illinois. They offered everything we needed as well as a nice complimentary breakfast each morning. The pool looked inviting, but we had no time to enjoy it. The wedding party also enjoyed their stay. Thank you so much.

This place is in need of renovation and I'd suggest starting with a bulldozer. I recently stayed for a week at this property and couldn't believe the condition of the property. My first impression was the smell (a "non smoking" room that smelled like it had previously been a smoking room). I then discovered the furniture falling apart. At one point during my stay there was a leak from the floor above and part of the ceiling caved in. After moving to another room I discovered black mold around the window and a carpet threshold curling up at the edges presenting a trip hazard. It was frankly astonishing how terrible this hotel was.

Visiting my son who lives in the area. Hotel is very nice. Location is good. Very close to restaurants. Beds were very comfortable. Covid protocols were followed closely. Not a ton of options in the area, I think this one is the best.

The best hotel for Sycamore, DeKalb and surrounding area by far! Nancy, Lori, Amber and all the staff treat you like family and do a great job. The hotel is convenient for both cities and is registered in both Chambers of Commerce. It is convenient to everything you need. This Holiday Inn Express & Suites is now being featured on the Planet Fitness Network in DeKalb. I highly recommend staying here!

We booked this hotel as we needed a few nights to see NIU...our daughter is coming here for grad school in the fall. The hotel was great! They were great for check-in...gave us great advice for local Chicago pizza (Giordano's)! Quiet in the evening/nighttime. Close to everything. Breakfast was good. When we return in August to move her in, we will be back!

We arrived at our $189 room which was pricey due to Parents Weekend at NIU apparently to find a broken dresser w/ the drawer face propped against a wall. Grabbed a quick shower to see the rod hanging a bit and the wallpaper pulled off. (See pics). I picked up the desk phone to let the desk know so i wouldn't get charged for existing damage but no dial tone. So We used the bedside phone and called down- they offered 1,000 points (18-22k is 1 night).
