Best Western Hotel Paradise Inn, Savoy

We love this hotel and have visited annually for 5 years. The staff and owners are always super friendly and helpful - they clearly take pride in their facility and service! Everything is clean and well-maintained, including the 2 pools, hot tub, and fitness room ( with a new elliptical and new treadmill). Due to covid, you need to book pool time, but we always got in. There was a good variety of foods at breakfast and hot coffee/tea were available 24/7. Lots of great AND fast food dining locations nearby. We love the location - you can sit out front and enjoy watching the trains go by. Looking forward to staying again next year!

I've been coming here near 20 years. Watched them take a dated old facility and turn it into one of the best around. Had our family reunion here with 25 people. They didn't miss a beat. Best price and great service. Check them out for yourself. Unless you are looking for the height of luxury, you will be more than pleased here.

A very clean and secure model, we have stayed here several times over the years. All of the staff has been very nice to us when we have stayed there. It is not hard to get to or see and there is ample lighted parking.

Traveled for a class at the university. Check in was fast and correct, stay was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast area was clean and stocked. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend here.

The customer service at the Best Western in Savoy, IL is top notch. The hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Whenever I am in town on business, I stay at this Best Western specifically because I am always pleased.

Pros: 1. Pretty close to Champaign so you're able to save some money if you're looking to spend some time in that area. 2. If you know what your plans are and are just looking to think ahead you can get a great price. I was able to book well in advance so I saved a lot of money by doing so. 3. Room was well prepared and looked great when we came in. 4. Made it clear what was/wasn't going to be done due to covid unless you wanted it. 5. Everything about the bed is very comfortable. Mattress, pillows and sheets were great. Cons: 1. If you don't check in before "night/dusk" it can be hard to actually find the entrance to the hotel. It's very small and even with GPS you could miss it driving by and have to circle about more than once. If you didn't have GPS you would probably have to drive 5 MPH with your warning flashers on to make sure you caught the thing. 2. Check in took a while. Be prepared to wait in the lobby for a bit if you're not the "only one" being served. I probably waited 10+ minutes in the lobby to get checked because of how slow everything went. Keep in mind that we arrived in the lobby and the only other person being served was the one being checked in. 3. TV was subpar. There was no mention that HDMI ports could not be used (my girlfriend and I wanted to watch some streaming services while we weren't out and about. We brought a fire stick and when we went to plug it into the port it said the device was not supported. Also, there was no list of what channels were what so I had to use my phone to guess what provider they had to get a channel list and guide. Overall it was an above average stay. I would use the hotel again if I was travelling down to that area and was able to order in advance. Fix entrance issues, try to streamline more and make the TV somewhat better. You'll have an great hotel for anyone.

In regards the cons that you have mentioned: 1. We do have a large canopy that is lit quite well for all drivers to see upon arrival. As well as a large hotel sign and a small hotel sign by the entrance. The entrance is lit up enough that drivers will have time to slow down and pull into the lot. There is no need to drive 5 MPH. 2. We do apologize for the inconvenience at the time of your check in. The agent at the time was a fairly new hire. 3. All of our guestroom TV's have HDMI support as they have been used before in the past. Please note that the front desk is always available to assist with any issues or requests you may have. A master remote is needed to change the TV input so that the HDMI port can be utilized. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are required to remove all unnecessary items from the guestrooms and unfortunately, the TV guide listing was one of those items. Again, a request to the front desk would have solved the problem as we can provide a copy of the list. Stayed the weekend, clean comfortable room, reasonably priced, breakfast was doable considering covid issues. Staff was friendly and willing to help with questions, etc. Close to other amenities and easy access to Interstate and Airport.

We stayed at this hotel one night. Our door would not lock. It was reported to management and we were told not to worry it would be fixed. By the time we checked out the next morning nothing had been fixed. I mentioned it again at the front desk and was told that they were aware of it. That did not make me feel any better and we were not compensated for this inconvenience. The least they could have done was to move us to another room or not charged us for the night. I will never stay at a Best Western hotel again.

The weekend front desk staff was very accommodating and happy to assist with any issues - like providing an extra set of towels. The were also very attentive to keeping the breakfast bar stocked even as closing time approached.

Fantastic staff and wonderful rooms! Both pools were clean and fun! Best grab and go breakfast we have had so far! Staff went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

I have stayed at this hotel for several nights for a business conference in the mid-1980s when it was regarded as fairly up-market. This time we only needed one night whilst visiting relatives in Blackpool and the Savoy fulfilled this function admirably. The building has had money spent on it and is well presented. Car parking at the hotel is "tight". If you are lucky enough to get a space, do not move your vehicle do not move it if possible. There is a next-door pay and display car park £6 for 12 hours if you are stuck. Room 130 was spacious with twin beds and a nicely tiled en-suite bathroom, although there were a couple of dodgy steps to get into it. No chain on hand basin plug and no cap on bath tap to identify hot from cold. The long narrow corridors did not have signs "To Stairs and Reception" so you could walk a long way before finding your way out. Our room at the back did have windows that would open wide but the ventilation system outlets made the room like being on-board next to the engine room. The room did the job so we cannot complain. Going out front to the promenade was a sad experience. What would have been a bustling seaside resort in July was amazingly quiet. The sea wall railings were rusty and the paint was peeling off the structures that I recall as having been in pristine condition. It was a depressing reflection on how things used to be,

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Pre check-in via email and internet made check in a breeze. Our room was spotless, even the bathroom, coffee maker, and refrigerator! There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity for dinner. The one thing I noticed prior to our stay was the pool. The outdoor pool in the pictures is for the hotel next door. I have included a photo of the indoor pool and hot tub with this review. That area was spotless as well! I'd advise signing up for a time to use it upon check in as each room gets one hour in there. It was nice because it was just us! The grab and go breakfast was excellent, with pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches and burritos, hard boiled eggs, muffins, fruit, and cereal. Milk, coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice were available as well. As this hotel is halfway between our son's and our homes, we plan on making this our new meeting point when our grandson comes to stay the week!

This was a great hotel. It is super clean. They follow Covid procedures. The breakfast wasn't great. The pool had too many chemicals. This is close to nice restaurants. I think pets are welcomed. I would stay here again. This is close to Illini games.

After traveling all day I was looking forward to taking a nice hot shower before turning in for the night. The shower was hot, but was slow to drain, I was standing in 3 inches of water for the duration of my shower, which I found disgusting. There was also mold at the soap dish and at the bottom of the shower curtain.

The facilities are very nice, clean and orderly; the grab & go breakfast was the best to be expected in these pandemic times. The clerk was really helpful with making sure I had gluten free options for breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. They also have hot food on Mondays and Wednesday nights for guests. This hot meal was great after a long drive. We have made this motel a regular stop for us in our trips.

Our motel stay at Best Western in Savoy, IL. was fantastic! The room and amenities were attractive, clean, and beyond compare. The breakfast experience with the variety of choices of hot and cold food items, freshly made coffee, and fresh fruit was very nice. The manager and desk staff were professional, friendly, and made our staff comfortable and relaxing. I rate this Best Western of Savoy a 5 for outstanding and they will receive our business again in the future!

Was visiting family during Thanksgiving. Inevitably too many people not enough room. Booked this property because it was right around the corner from family. Fast friendly service, cavernous rooms, super clean remodel, breakfast variety.

Nice hotel. Decor is up to date. Check in was very smooth. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - limited options, eggs and sausage were dry, generally not very appealing. Check out was smooth. .

We were there visiting family nearby. The location is close to walking trail west of the motel, so it was easy to go for walks. Also within easy walking distance of several restaurants and a small shopping center.

Great location. Clean and new. Train noise every 20-30 min and lumpy beds. So getting a good night's sleep did not happen. So if that is important to you, I recommend other places not so close to the train tracks.

This hotel is very convenient if you are flying out of Champaign, instead of driving at the crack of dawn for an early flight it made sense to utilize this with free shuttle service, which meant I could leave my vehicle there and not have to pay the parking charges at the airport. Since that cost $70 last year it was a no brainer to be rested and pay not much more for a good night sleep! The hotel is clean and all the staff very friendly. My room (101) was clean, large fridge and microwave etc with a large bathroom. I did get moved when I suddenly heard water and found there was a leak above the bathtub pouring water into the bath! The room I was moved to (105) came complete with large hot tub in the room, ideal for weary travelers. I ordered a shuttle for 5am which was prompt and also friendly. There is free breakfast served but not until 6am so I did not get to have this but fresh coffee was available even at this early hour. All in all, my stay was exactly as expected. There is renovations (an addition) going on, and the outside pool definitely not usable (green and not full!)

The outside and inside of the hotel was very well maintained and nice. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was good and convenient. Very helpful staff. Would recommend staying there.

The fitness room policy is that it opens at 8:30am only. So guests are not supposed to wake up early and do their gym. The rooms in the main building are getting dirtier too. Carpet needs urgent cleaning. Location is good, but if you plan to do some gym in the morning... forget it.

In regards to our hours for our fitness room, we do enforce quiet hours, which is why our fitness room and pool open and close at the same time, 8:30a - 10p. In addition to that, our fitness room does share a wall with a guest room, so it would be really inconvenient for a guest while they're sleeping if someone came to work out in the early morning. We do recommend, for runners, to jog around the neighborhood located west of us since it is very close and quiet so you can enjoy those early, brisks mornings.

Very clean and nice. Staff friendly and helpful from check in, to breakfast service. Room was clean, hotel was non smoking which I really appreciated. Parking was plentiful, and handicapped spaces close.

Most people want a room that provides: a clean visit, a comfy bed, breakfast, and quiet hours. This hotel gives all of that if only because the trains stop between midnight and 6 am. This hotel is quite close to train tracks so the noise is pretty loud. The hotel can't really control that so they make up with a super comfy bed, large rooms, and new furnishings. They could also make their breakfast a bit more palatable. The eggs, hashbrowns and bacon were just sad. Yes it fed you but it didn't pleasantly surprise you. The hotel should remember one of the last experiences a guest will remember you by is breakfast.

We do offer a variety like, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, wheat & white bread, bagels, and gluten free products. These items are offered daily along with a main hot breakfast dish that changes daily.

very nice we thought the room was very clean and all was in working order. supplies were there for all we needed. breakfast was slim but adequate for us. would been nice to have apples but no complaint really.

Very clean, comfortable room with comfy bed, microwave, and refrigerator! Staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful! We found breakfast to be delicious with a good variety over our 5 day stay. There was mini-golf within walking distance. We plan on returning soon.

This Best Western in Savoy, IL was quiet and clean...for a quick trip, it was perfect! While the front desk employee the evening I arrived could have been a little friendlier and more personable, it was a smooth check-in and a lovely, comfortable stay. Love that there was a fridge and a microwave in my hotel room, and the continental breakfast was delicious and plenty.

Hotel was very clean and the room was spacious and quiet except for the trains went by. There was a fair amount of train traffic . Breakfast had a lot I f items and our only complaint was hard biscuits. There are a lot of restaurants within a mile or two, but none within walking distance

This hotel was nice. It was clean and Tastefully decorated. The staff was nice and polite. The room was comfortable and the beds were okay. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked. And the shower worked well. There was plenty of parking. Breakfast was hot and almost unappetizing. The breakfast potatoes were soggy and gray, the fried egg patties were rubbery and half cold, the bread for toast was half stale and the orange juice tasted really weird. At least they had some protein bars for me to grab.

The appearance from the outside was pleasant and parking good. The lobby was clean and attractive. The desk person was efficient and pleasant. My room was very nice and the tv, etc. worked well. The high speed internet was decently fast. The breakfast had nice choices and the items I chose were good.

Walked into a clean lobby. Front staff was friendly but need to have a little more knowledge on the rewards program. Our room was clean with coffee in the room. The breakfast area was clean with a variety of breakfast options. Will definitely make this a regular stop

We stayed at this hotel for a Friday night U of I football game. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city area about 15 minutes away from campus. There is very little within walking distance. The hotel itself was nice. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and seemed newer. Breakfast in the morning was okay. The price for the room seemed a little high, but it was an event night and compared to closer to campus hotels it was acceptable.At check out I noted a sign that indicated there was a $7 per person charge to use the outdoor pool. While the pool area looked nice this seemed quite excessive. If you plan on using the pool you should inquire when booking.

We were staying overnight for a football game. Main issue we had was that room was not ready for check in until after 5pm (vs. their stated check in time of 2pm), which kind of screwed up our plans since we were heading to the game before then. It always bothers me when rooms aren't ready on time, because the hotel is essentially stealing money from you by not making the room available for the length of time that you purchased. We were in a "business room" in the main building, and the room itself was nice enough, clean, and updated. had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. No problems there. The AC unit made noise which woke us up, but given that we didn't get to our room until after midnight, wasn't much we could do about it other than turn it off (fortunately it wasn't hot out). The breakfast was not very impressive - not many choices with the only hot items being pre-made miniature omelets (which I wasn't going to roll the dice on) and reheated frozen sausage. A couple of muffins, cereal (which was stale), waffle machine, toast, that's about it. On the lower end of the "free breakfast" scale for sure. But better than nothing. Convenient location just south of town. Service was friendly. Hotel was very clean. Overall, a decent no-frills hotel close to campus.

We reserved a courtesy block of rooms at the Best Western in Savoy for my son's wedding in Aug, 2018. We reserved one room with a king bed for my husband & me to relax in quiet after the wedding, while our son, his bride, and their friends continued the party at our home. The manager with whom I spoke was quite helpful, as was the front desk crew. This hotel has been recently renovated; it is quite clean & new. My husband & I slept like logs, finding our room quiet & the bed comfortable. My brother-in-law remarked that it's by far the nicest Best Western that he's visited. We did hear a train during the night, but went to sleep easily. This Best Western is a short distance--less than a mile--from movie theaters, a bowling alley, a roller skating rink that also offers lasertag, gas stations, a drug store, & grocery stores. In the warm weather, there's the outdoor pool & a nearby miniature golf course. Our stay was pleasant, and the price was reasonable. I gladly recommend the Best Western in Savoy.

If you are looking to visit U of I, this is the place to stay. A lot cheaper than the hotels in Champaign and it has everything you need. Super comfy beds, great breakfast. Location near many great restaurants and shopping. Five - ten minutes from campus. Parts are getting rehabbed, but we have never been disappointed even with the rehabbing going on. I highly recommend it!

Best price and convenience for getting quickly on to, or off the Champaign campus. Rooms are clean, service polite and a reasonable breakfast served. Heard a train across the highway a few times, but never had a problem sleeping.

My fiance and I thought this would be a great experience to try out the Best Western in Savoy. I was sadly mistaken. We were getting ready to checkout. My fiance was taking our things to the car, when I hear the door handle. I thought it was my fiance trying to get back in. Let me say, I was using the restroom. I decided to help him back in. I get to the door and the lady from the front desk comes storming in and didn't want to leave the room. She claimed there was a complaint made earlier, stating someone smelled smoke? Regardless of any situation you should never invade someone's privacy. I was violated and didn't not appreciate being accused of something I would never do. They were rude about everything until the cop showed up then they were nice. I will never revisit this place ever again! Very unprofessional business.

In regards to your stay with us, due to the complaints we received and the housekeeper on duty detecting the smell of smoke coming out into the hallway from the room, management has the right to intervene if there's probable cause and because the hotel is non-smoking. The room was flagged and it was confirmed. Please be advised that in the state of Illinois, smoking in a non-smoking facility is against the law, and because the hotel is non-smoking, we as staff have to ensure the comfort and protection of all guests while in the establishment and there is zero tolerance for smoking in a non-smoking room.

A very nice hotel although it was a bit off the highway. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. No complaints, we would stay here again. We had a king room and the bed was very comfortable.

When we checked in the lady behind the desk was very helpful. She let us know about the times for the breakfast the next morning. Room was very clean and quiet. WiFi was very fast. Became a rewards member and saved 10%.

Staff was VERY accommodating and friendly! We were shown the room and although it was quite cramp we reserved and went to get a bite to eat. Upon returning and unpacking into the room we discovered the heat had been off for some time and took 2-3 hrs to warm. The bed was ice cold! The bathroom had its own heater which did not work and the bathroom door hit the toilet when opened. Our room was one of many away from the main hotel block and I would like to hope the main hotel rooms are better. The hotel is in a very convenient area.

Traveling from Suffolk Virginia to Minneapolis for Christmas, we stopped off at the Best Western in Savoy, Illinois. I was traveling with my wife, daughter, three of her small children, and my other grandson. Seven of in all. The room we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. The whole hotel seemed like it was brand new. We were checked inn by Doranda who worked with us to get a really reasonably priced room. After a great night sleep, we got up to Katies breakfast which seemed to include everything we could think of. My daughter had broken her foot the day before we left, so I was tasked with herding cats (children) to breakfast while my wife helped my broken daughter. Katie helped me with everything, including wiping sticky fingers. We have been to a lot of Westerns, but this was the "Best". We made a slight detour on our way back home, so we could stay there again. I would recommend staying at the Best Western in Savoy, Illinois to anyone who wants a good night's sleep, an affordable rate and a fantastic staff. Thanks to Katie, Doranda, Joseph and klmari.

Very clean and close to CMI AIRPORT. Wonderful staff. Good value for the money. Hotel supplied ride to the airport morning of check out. Breakfast provided. If you have an early flight they will provide you with a to go breakfast.

The rooms at the main building are good, spacious, well decorated, clean. At the annex buildings rooms must be renewed urgently and thoroughly! Carpet do not help much in keeping a clean and odorless environment. Old carpet, curtains, and other fabric in the outside bedrooms claim for renovation.

We were not satisfied with this hotel. We actually decided to stay at another hotel during the weekend. Apparently this BW location is a hotel building, with some "exterior" motel that must have been purchased by the franchise. When I booked I was not aware of this, nor did I see any information about this online. So when we checked in, to our surprise, we were put in a motel room outside. Unacceptable. We booked a HOTEL, not a motel. The room was about $110 a night plus taxes/fees. That is not a motel room price. There is no way we would book a hotel room and would be ok with being moved to a motel room. There is a difference. And the manager made no effort to correct this situation, only offered a 10% discount on an "interior" room which was already around $200/night. So we asked to just cancel our reservation because we feel like we were mislead when booking the room, but the manager would not give us a refund. So finally we just left out and ate the cost of the room ($125) and we found a HOTEL room at another location at $95/night which was actually inside the hotel building. We are very upset with the false advertisement and the lack of service by the management. Thank You.

It was karaoke night at the bar attached to the end of the building. The backdoor of the bar was open. From inside my room, I could hear loud music, singing, a pa system and bar noises until the bar closed at 1:00 a.m. I called the front desk to ask for a quieter room. I was told that they had quieter rooms available but since they were more expensive than mine, I would have to pay the higher price. She said that the bar, the Senator's Pub, is not owned by the hotel so she was not allowed to move me to a quieter room for the same rate. Check the schedule of the bar before booking a room here!

The hotel itself was ok. It was very reasonably priced and well located. It was clean. Details like it not having an indoor pool, the train traffic being loud, and the tub showing its age were not great but not tragic either. The stellar staff made our stay so much better than it could have been. Everyone from the gal we booked with to all of the staff we encountered when we were at the hotel were exceptional. We will definately consider staying again when we are in the area just because of the staff.

Stayed last weekend for a football game. The room we had was very, very clean. The day we checked in (Friday afternoon), the woman at the front desk was so bright and cheerful. Many times when I check into C-U area hotels the desk clerk acts like a zombie (I get they might have been up all night) and it was a treat to have a pleasant desk clerk. I did notice some noise at night from nearby train tracks so if you are a light sleeper request a room facing west, I guess. Included breakfast bar was convenient.

Everyone was really professional and helpful. I was in an exterior room and really liked being able to drive to the room. It was not anything fancy but enough for me. Breakfast had many choices. the burrito was delicious.

The Best Best Western I have stayed at. Rooms was clean, big, and comfy. Anything I asked for they made sure to make it happen. Employees was top notch and nice. I recommend if staying in Champaine IL to drive to Savoy and stay here. Well worth the few extra miles.

I was staying overnight for one night; and had a very very early flight out of CMI airport the following morning. For convenience and proximity to the airport- it can't be beat. The surrounding amenities- food, shopping, etc. is quite good, too. It's a bit far out from the center of Champaign- but guess you can't have everything! Very close to Friar Tuck- for getting beers from around the world :). The hotel has improved and got an internal facelift- so it's a good value for it's convenient location of hotel.

We stayed in the main building, and had a king size bed. The room and bathroom was clean and in great shape The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Quiet location. No complaints at all!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western recently the, Desk Clerk was very pleasant. The guest were nice the rooms were nice and clean. I would book a room again & again. That's my kind of an overnight stay.

Way overpriced and make up of rooms is ridiculous. TV and bed not placed property and had to kill two bugs in the room. No elevator to get to the 2nd floor. They did not ask at check in if staying on the 2nd floor without an elevator would be a problem, they just placed you.

We come down to U of I every year to tailgate and have stayed at this hotel for the last ten years. It provides great value, is in close proximity to the school, and love that there is a bar connected to the property. The hotel has made several improvements over the last several years and has become a great stay.

We couldn't have been happier with this motel in Savoy, IL a few miles from the U. of I campus. It was very clean and quiet for these seniors. Breakfast was excellent. We will return for sure and tell our friends and family about this hidden wonder.

I stayed here on business and wanted to be conservative with costs. I hadn't stayed at a BW in quite some time, and my expectations were for clean, but basic. I was surprised to find this location, at least in the main building, to be nicely appointed, very clean, friendly staff, and more-than-basic! Everything was great, no complaints.

Loved the Paya products in the bathroom! Comfy bed! Good breakfast! Loved the chocolate chip waffle/pancake batter! Check in and check out was quick. This location was great for us because it is near the State Farm Center Venue.

We stumbled on this property while traveling with our grandkids. Having an outdoor pool was perfect! No chlorine smell and no loud echoes. There were plenty of food options nearby so we were able to have a picnic poolside. I will definitely stay here again.

It is a newly renovated hotel. The rooms very nicely decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. My wife and I plan on staying at his hotel again. We have the Best Western chain to be very reliable.

This hotel has been renovated & updated since our last visit --it's a lovely, quieter alternative to the big hotels in Champaign/ Urbana. The staff & King room were great; microwave & good-sized room fridge. Breakfast was not extensive but good with a combo of hot & cold choices. We will keep this as our stop during journeys through Illinois!

Nice place....very clean. Good location. They have a remodeled newer section that is very nice. Most of the staff was great to work with. Breakfast is not the greatest. I have had better breakfast at other places.

Very nice hotel. Request interior room if you want in the building with the lobby. Also they offer lower cost motel rooms out near lovely outdoor pool. Breakfast was delicious, hot meal with many choices. Only complaint it was near a railroad track, which could be a positive if you or your children love trains or a deficit if you're a light sleeper. We returned to stay another night.

I stay at this Best Western Paradise Inn, In Savoy, Ill. every year, when I visit Family. Great Staff, great Breakfast and good service. When I need extra towels or anything, the Staff is there for me. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel is near Fast Food Places and Restaurants.

I look gir best western hotels along my routes of travel. This one a off the beaten track and I expected a beat up property, but was pleased to see how nice it was. I stayed in the main building, not in the older structure next to the pool. My bed was the most comfortable that I have enjoyed for many mikes of traveling in 3 countries. Typical BW hot egg and sausage breakfast, although the last BW in Toronto didn't even have coffee in the lobby. The Savoy, Illinois BW will be on my planned routes in the future

This is very nice hotel on the south side of town. It's a great place to stay if using the airport or doing business in the south part of Champaign or Savoy. It's not much beyond the basics, but it does cover the basics well. I stay here frequently and am always treated very well by the staff.

Price was great! Staff and facilities were very clean, well maintained and perfect for us! The beds were very comfortable! I would recommend this hotel in this area. (keep in mind it is an older motel that has been updated beautifully!)

This is a great place to stay in Champaign/Urbana. It is very close to the U of I with quick access to other areas of the twin cities. The staff Is cordial and will help with any issues. The entire facility has been updated and refurbished, making the facility "like new".

It's hard to fault a Best Western- they are by far my favorite hotel chain as of the last few years. The lobby is very attractive and the woman at check in was very professional. This property has an older section with outside door access and a newer section with indoor corridor access. We stayed in the older section. The exterior seemed to be nicely updated. The room was small, but clean and in good condition. I appreciate how some of the older Best Westerns have kept the charming older rooms and updated them, instead of just tearing them down. Our friend had a room in the newer part and said it was exceptionally nice. The breakfast was fabulous- omelettes, sausage, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, breads/pastries, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. It was extensive and there was also a breakfast attendant who was very on top of things. We were there during a very busy time and there was no vacancy, but I still felt that we paid a reasonable rate, while many other hotels in town jacked up their prices. Also, there is a bar next door (actually attached to the older section of the motel). We didn't get a chance to try it before it closed for the evening, but it would have been convenient had we known about it earlier. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast had diversity. The room was comfortable and located close to the university and ten minutes from the mall. The outdoor pool was used constantly and the general atmosphere was friendly with guests and staff.

We stayed with another family for a wedding. The front desk clerks were extremely helpful in booking our rooms. When we arrived a few hours early they let us check in early. Nice, clean rooms, well maintained pool, and helpful staff.

I've been coming to the Best Western Paradise Inn for years when I come to town, both for business and pleasure. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had been renovated. It's so nice now! I WILL be staying here again next time I'm in town for work, or when I'm there with my family (with small children) The rooms are nice, the bed was comfy and the (complementary) breakfast was delicious. The best part, however, was the staff which I found attentive and friendly. This is a sharp contrast to other budget friendly hotels where the staff isn't always on par. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked 4 nights to be close to our family. Night 1 - the air conditioning wouldn't stay on. So all through the night my husband had to keep getting up to turn it back on. Night 2 - we got back to our room that evening and discovered that housekeeping had not cleaned. We had to call for more towels. In the neighboring rooms were a motorcycle group. Not a problem so far. However it quickly became a problem as they kept loud partying until 3:00 a.m.!! So, between the intermittent air conditioning, lack of housekeeping service, and loud raucous guests (where more were expected the following couple of nights), we sought out another hotel for the remainder of our stay. Also, the room was quite small and hard to maneuver around the bed. We won't be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Paradise Inn. The price was fair and as usual even though it was graduation weekend and most other hotels tripled their prices. The room was clean and adequate.

Close to the university if you're going to be on the south side of the campus. The room was OK but some things were not clean and some of the toiletries were not there. Also, they couldn't even for fill a simple request of extra blankets.

Noise from the rail across the road was loud, but at least it stopped by around midnight. Not much this hotel can do about it , just the location. Also the internet kept dropping out. Overall could be worse.

The room was decent, wasn't in it very long. Bathroom floor wasn't clean and there was a crusty toilet seat stain. Someone beat on our door before check out time and woke us up. Bed was nice, staff was friendly, convenient location. TV was in a very weird spot and only one person could see it while laying in bed.

Comfy beds. Helpful staff at front desk and room cleaning. Old section isn't fancy but less expensive and beds are nice. New section is nicer and correspondingly pricier. Mgmt has been helpful when I've had special needs. They also have separate pet-friendly rooms and there is a big manicured lawn behind the motel that is great for dog walking. I love trains, so I actually like the sounds of trains on the tracks across the highway.

This is the second time I have stayed here and have been very pleased both times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in the main building and the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast is good with several offerings. The hotel is close to the airport and the shuttle is a plus. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for Mom's weekend at U of I. Hotel is close to Champaign and is very reasonably priced. Very clean, very helpful staff and a nice breakfast buffet. Overall a great place to stay. My husband stayed for Dad's weekend also and he was pleased as well.

This is a great hidden gem of a hotel just south of U of I campus. Clean comfy rooms, courteous staff, great breakfast. We plan on staying here every time we visit U of I! Kimarri was very courteous and helpful. We have stayed in both the newer renovated section and the older section - and both were extremely satisfying!

This hotel has both a motel with hotel feel. There are two separate building. I recommend the main building. It's more modern. The out side building is still nice but not as modern. I have stayed here at least 15 times. In both building. So in my experience always nice staff. And clean room. Usually Great breakfast.

I stayed at this location in 2014 and it was going thru remodeling. My return to this place in 2017 was a great experience. The front lobby and rooms were top notch. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

That being said, I was super impressed by this Best Western - was expecting to be disappointed, as I normally spend much more for hotel stays, this was the only option in Savoy. The owner/manager - whomever is in charge totally gets what is important to a hotel snob- great shower, awesome bed, excellent hairdryer even! Loved that I could actually open a window and breathe real air. Five stars. ps. Anna is awesome.

be sure to confirm your rate in writing in advance, this management will lie and cheat - they are deceitful. the website stated one rate, I agreed to a higher rate on the phone earlier in the week, and then got tagged with a still higher rate upon check out without being informed prior. when I attempted to communicate on this matter the staff at the desk lied to me about who was an owner. Beware these people!

This is a very nice hotel, and pet friendly! The staff is very nice and professional and the property has been renovated nicely. I do recommend that they upgrade their mattresses though. They were a little soft for my liking.

We were quite happy with this motel. The desk manager was very friendly, there were fresh baked cookies for us to enjoy and the room was clean and comfortable. It is a good value and pet friendly! Good for us. The breakfast in the morning was also pretty good and had eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles, and the list goes on. The coffee was even good.

The owners recently opened a new wing to the hotel that is comparable to Hampton Inn & Suites in size and appointments at a much better price point. My wife and I and another couple have been staying at this hotel several times a year when we attend University of Illinois athletic events. Paradise Inn is clean and well maintained. A great value. The rooms in the older wing have outside entrances and are a bit smaller but the furnishings are updated and the rooms are kept neat and clean. The front desk is very helpful. An ideal location for attending football and basketball games because you approach the stadiums from the south and have less traffic in and out of the event. Being located on Neil Street gives you easy access to the restaurants and activities in downtown Champaign.

Great location! plenty of food places near by! There was a bowling alley and a skating Rink close, but my favorite there was a movie theatre with 16 screens with an IMAX and motion seats! Great location for a family get away!

I am only giving this place two stars because the young lady at the check in desk was very sweet and kind. Other than that, I would not recommend staying here. The room is very small and out dated. We could barely get to the bathroom because the pathway between the bed and the tv stand/dresser was extremely tight. I've never seen a room laid out like this was. We had a king bed which was comfortable, but the pillows were the size of decorative pillows you would find with a comforter set or on a couch. It looked like the bathroom was cleaned weeks ago. There was mold in the bathtub (I will include a picture) and there was a big spider in the bathtub as well (I will include a picture of this as well). There is a bar/inn right next door to this hotel, people were out in the parking lot in the middle of the night being super loud. There is plenty of parking here. They have an outdoor pool and playground. We were also told that there was free breakfast, we didn't have it since we were ready to just get out of there!! Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This is a pretty nice place to say in Champaign, IL. I stay here reularly as it is close to an office I'm in town for at work a lot. The quality of stay varies from slightly below average to exceptional. The place is in decent shape and the do a decent job taking care of it. The staff has always been friendly and responsive to any needs or issues, which have been few. I've encountered a few times where the cleanliness leaves a little to be desired. And, the internet service is simply terrible. Overall, it's a decent place to drop in for a night.

Nice large rooms and always very clean. They have a great variety of breakfast items to choose from. We have stayed there a few times now and it is quiet and away from congestion. We recommend this hotel for anyone.

I was visiting my son at the University of IL in Champaign and I was going to stay at his apartment. However, permit parking is on every street in that area and therefore I had nowhere to park my Jeep. I tried several AirBNB but they were all booked because I think it was some big sporting event for the University this weekend. I panicked because I was going to have to drive all the way back to Chicago and I had a Mentoring Training to attend in Rantoul the following morning. A guy named Rick from one of the AirBNB's I tried to book was not able to accommodate my stay and he suggested this Best Western. I was able to get a room at this location in a pinch. Which was suggested by an AirBNB owner because they were booked and he I was accommodated quick and efficiently

This is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. Terrible room quality wit missing electrical covers, smoke detector on top of microwave, bad order to room, tub drain did not drain, and bath fan very loud.

there could have been safety bars by the bath to help people get in and out of the bath. The tub did have a slippery surface also. I did have some excellence help from one of the desk clerks. But I was surprised when I had to call for a internet tech. to get back on the internet. that was the most disappointment with the room.

Terrible is the only word I can use , Our room had thousands of little black ants that were also in the bed and we told the staff who claim that they sprayed which didn't help and only exposed us to toxic poisons . I'll never stay there again .

Made a reservation in advance online. It had been a long day of driving and we got to the hotel late. To make a long story short, we were put in the room that abuts a bar. Yes, a bar with a DJ with a mike or a band and a preponderance of bass. Needless to say, we weren't going to be able to sleep until the bar closed so we left and went on to another Best Western. We did receive a refund after calling. But I have to wonder at the reasoning of having a bar on the other side of a hotel room and putting people in there. There were people wandering around in the parking lot with drinks in their hands and smoking. On a good note, the room was clean. Management was friendly and helpful. I probably would have enjoyed my stay were it not for the bar.

Most everything was excellent. I would stay again without hesitation. The only complaint were the breakfast eggs(?), otherwise breakfast was good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Location was easy to get to and near the University of Illinois and the rest of Champaign/Urbana.

This is the third time I stayed at the Best Western in Savoy and I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed with my experience.On the positive side, the Best Western is reasonably priced compared to the other establishments and is relatively close to U of I campus. The motel has an older section with extremely outdated rooms that are only accessible from outdoors. The remodeled section is connected to the lobby and is modern, stylish and comfortable. I booked a room with a king-sized bed in the remodeled section. The room was nice-sized and had a small sitting area with a Sofa bed. Unfortunately, who ever designed and planned this room was clearly not thinking straight!!! There was not enough space to open the couch rendering the extra bed totally useless. I notified management and not only were they unable to adjust the space so the bed could open but they had no roll-away beds available as it was graduation weekend and the motel was completely booked. My son, who was planning to stay in my room, had to find anther place to stay. Aside from an apology, The Best Western didn't offer anything to make up for the inconvenience. Not acceptable!!! Another major disappointment was that I asked for a later check-out due to graduation. I was informed that if I wanted a later check-out I would have to pay an additional hourly fee. Really??? I left there totally disgusted and would never consider going back.

The newer section of the Best Western is great. It is only a few years old. We used to stay in the older section years ago. At that time, those rooms were nice but I haven't been in them in years. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. Some went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. We rented the conference room for a family reunion get together. It was a large room that easily accommodated all of us.

Spent one night here for a family event. Was told that they had recently remodeled rooms and they were clean and updated. Nice TV and mini fridge. The only real drawback would be the trains that roll thru all night with horns blasting. Not a lot of options in this part of town this may be your best bet. Good value.

On a very long family trip, we needed a place to spend the night and came across the Best Western Paradise Inn when looking for places to stay online. It was a bit off the interstate and I might have overlooked otherwise but so very happy we didn't. We stayed in the new section of the hotel which looks like it was built very recently. Clean, spacious rooms. The staff is super friendly and the grounds look wonderful. Very close to several dining options, in a very quiet area. Continental breakfast options are standArd fare but very tasty. All in all, what a great, welcoming and cozy place to stay! Highly recommended.

While this Best Western is not a Best Western Plus it is very nice. The staff was excellent. They were the best group as a whole that we have seen. We stayed at this motel on our last day of a 15 day road trip and the one had the best cookies and nicest pool. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the standard motel breakfast. It was good, except for the hard boiled eggs. After 15 days of motel breakfasts they do seem to offer the same items and taste the same.

The room was recently redone and everything was new. The room was clean and pleasant. A/C works perfectly. The bathroom was clean and sanitize. There are only a couple of small complaints. Since the rooms are non smoking guests smoke out side and then toss the butts into the parking lot. Makes things a little trashy looking. Added smoking urns outside would solve this problem. The other small complaint is that the lawn mowing started at 8 AM which work everyone up earlier than planned. A good hotel, good location and good pricing.

Very happy with our stay. We were in the older section and there was absolutely nothing wrong. In fact we sat on the balcony of the 2nd floor and watched a storm. It was great. People in other reviews commented about the trains. They go by so fast its nothing.

We had a great stay at Paradise Inn. We were in town for a wedding and stayed in a jacuzzi suite. It was newly renovated and done well. Very clean, friendly staff, and a good breakfast buffet. The pool looked very nice, but we didn't get to swim. I would highly recommend and will definitely return if ever in Savoy.

We were here for a party and just needed a quiet place to spend the night. This place met the requirement. We had a lovely room with a sofa to sit on while watching tv. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean. Some of the others had a much smaller room for the same price. Guess we just lucked out. The breakfast was so nice with lots of variety. If you are going to be in this part of the country and do not need lots of modern updates, I would recommend the motel

Exterior of hotel looks nice, however the concrete balcony on the motor lodge could use some work -- littered and just plain un-attractive. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the west (motor lodge) building -- was adequate (felt safe, had the basics) but extremely dated (especially the shower). And the room cleaning didn't seem to be as thorough as I'm used to. Did notice roll of carpeting/padding sitting outside rooms on lower level -- so hoping that this is a hotel in transition, and that it will be top-notch once all updates are complete. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was pretty good -- all the usual items. Looks like a nice outdoor pool, cleaned and being filled for the season during our stay.

Stayed here one night while attending a bridal shower in Champaign. There are two sections to the facility a new addition in the front and an older section in the rear. The new section appeared to be very nice. The older section was apparently undergoing renovations as there were rolls of carpet outside of the rooms. We were given a room in the older section which strangely shared a room number with a room in the newer section. The room was clean, but quite small especially since it had two queen beds. At night we could hear trains and saw the next morning that the tracks were right across from the hotel. The breakfast was good and staff was friendly. If you plan to stay at this hotel I suggest you request the newer section.

stayed for graduation of my daughter from U of I and it was just fine. they had a small room with one bed and they took small dogs. price was good for the room. breakfast buffet was small but adequate

Three of us shared a room the night before the Christie Clinic Marathon. Sleep was vital and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Front desk accommodated runners nicely. Location a little off the beaten path, but even better so it was away from heavy traffic and noise. Great place to say. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Thank you!

Age of the location was not an issue, as it has recently been remodeled. Housekeeping however needs retraining. We someone checks in they do not want to find dried urine and remains in the toilet, dirt on the carpet and food container's in the trash. Then to have a snippy desk clerk argue with you at checkout didn't help their cause.

We regularly stay at this motel when visiting Champaign/Urbana. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are very comfortable. The Wi-Fi is good using a recently installed system. You can use Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Other devices connect easily, although you must reconnect each time you come and go. The staff is great and are ready to meet your individual needs. The continental breakfast makes it easy to get up, eat and go.

Stayed here for Urbana Mom weekend. Was near the campus and places to eat. The rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. A great value considering location and service. I plan to stay here again for future campus events.

A great hotel at a great price! I will not hesitate to use this hotel for every future University of Illinois event! Great staff, excellent breakfast and comfy room! The hotel went out of the way to make their guests feel welcome - offering snacks, water and newspapers.

Use for overnight when in town for business. It serves that purpose very well. Staff is great. Place is always clean. It's an older facility, but kept up pretty well. Pillows and internet could be better, otherwise, it's a great location.

Our school district wrestling team has stayed at this hotel for years when participating in tournaments in Champaign. In February, I received a credit card authorization form from the hotel, which I had to complete and fax back to the hotel. We booked three rooms for three nights, and the cc authorization form showed that the total to be charged after taxes would be $1,308.60 all together. My credit card was then charged $1,658.25. I have contacted the hotel twice, and faxed the cc authorization form, in order to resolve the issue, and a manager has not returned my calls or responded to my fax. In addition, right after our wrestling team stayed at the hotel, my credit card information (which was in the possession of the Best Western Paradise Inn via a fax I sent to them) was stolen, and $700 was charged to my American Express card in Champaign, IL. The credit card has never been out of my possession, and I was personally never in Champaign or Savoy.... our high school wrestling team was there. It is way more than a coincidence, and I believe that someone associated with the hotel stole my credit card information and made unauthorized and fraudulent charges on my credit card. DO NOT STAY THERE!

A really nice place. Beautiful well layed out room. Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Nice shower and bathroom. Thoughtful touches. Great friendly service. Wonderful breakfast with a huge selection of tastey fresh food.My wife and I are not world travelers but we've stayed in our share of motels in our 48 years of marriage. This is our third or fourth stay here and we both agree this is one of the nicest ever. We've stayed in some really big name places at three times the price that honestly were dumps compared to Best Western Paradice in Savoy. In our opinion will not go wrong staying here.

My room was clean to meet my standards and the amenities were better than I could fathom for the price. Will definitely recommend to any of my friends passing through the Champaign/Savoy area. I also want to give a special thank you to the front desk person that helped me named Nina. She was able to help me navigate better since I do not frequent often. Just awesome overall

Great place to stay! Great prices and exceptional customer service. Best western in savoy is a Must visit. Exercise room for when I want to hit the gym during my stay. And the small open breakfast bar you can't beat!

Professional section was very, very nice. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to check in when Anthony is working, as he is a very caring person & takes good care of you. He make sure that you are completely satisfied.

My family and I stayed here as it was recommended from another hotel. We never knew this hotel was here. Its a really nice quite place and staff was super helpful in accommodating us. This hotel is different as it has inside rooms and rooms that you can drive up to. Either way we really enjoyed our stay

stayed at this hotel for one night, i had sayed in a jacuzzi bedroom, the prices was wonderful and the rooms was just beautifuland the service was just unbelieviably great. also the location is in a nice and quite area. the loudest thing in the area is the train that is across from it. over all five stars

Kudos to Martin who helped correct a bogus online charge by another company! The hotel was clean, the rooms large and comfortable. It's located close to good restaurants and shopping. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth it for the price and quality.

We stayed 2 nights, using my points. The windows were filthy, The wi-fi didn't work, and we were invaded by an army of ants. The smoke alarm was lying on the table, and the heater in the bathroom didn't work. They took care of the ants to their credit. Otherwise I wasted my points. Most BW's are better than this.

The hotel is divided between business and non-business. We were given a room in the non-business section. The room was very, very small (to be honest, our master bedroom in our mobile home was larger than this motel room). We would probably get a bigger room next time we stay here just so the grandkids would have room to move around when they come visit.

We chose this hotel because of its location near our daughter's apt. We stayed here a year ago and had a good experience. This time the experience was not as pleasant. The shower did not have enough pressure or hot enough water. The hair dryer broke and there was no replacement available. The room was not cleaned well and was not cleaned at all one day. We had to go get towels twice for ourselves during our 4 day visit. On the positive side, the breakfast was good and varied and the heating in the room worked well.

we stopped here while driving through illinois. we didnt stay very long but it was a great hotel. comfortable rooms, nice staff and a great breakfast. there was some hair in the bed, which was kind of gross, but everything else was great

Just a short drive to Memorial Stadium or Assembly Hall, this is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel. It is newly renovated and it shows. Everything was clean and fresh and the beds were super comfortable! We will be back!!!

First stay last year, fine. 2nd stay c. 12 days ago (Sat night) Fine. 3rd stay Sat. Oct. 25 not so great. Mold in my son's room, lights on walkways turned off on timer at 6 AM, but it's pitch dark at that time and my wife could not see to get back into our room at 6:15 am. Floor lamp a fire hazard, as the bulb and switch were not securely connected to the base of the lamp, and flopped over at a 95 degree angle.

Nice stay, all staff were very courteous and worked hard to make my evening away from home a pleasant experience. My room and bathroom were clean and the internet speed was good. The premise was quiet and conducive to a good nights sleep. I will definetly stay there again when I am in the area.

Didn't stay there but booked and cancelled in advance of a work trip. Trying to achieve the simple tasks of getting my credit card refunded turned into a nightmare with no follow up or engagement from them. This speaks to a low level or service, apathy, or a combination of the two.

Nice people. Nice accommodations. Breakfast was OK too. I have only one negative for this hotel - the Wi-Fi was really slow and intermittent. That would not impact my decision to stay here again. Overall, a great place to stay.

Parking was limited; the grounds were under construction but if they were adding more parking it wouldn not be enough; looked like they were planning to put in new carpet in the older section & newer section well maintained, good access to a major road; breakfast good;

We have stayed here on two extended visits. The business rooms have just been renovated and are essentially new. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The "outside" units are currently being renovated, but that is not a distraction. The WiFi is good with no interruptions and good bandwidth. The train run across the street, but did not cause us any sleep problems at all!

when we checked in---it was in a new building---when we saw our room we were very disappointed. rooms in back are dated and dirty---Please rent a rug doctor---or buy new carpet! smoke-detector had a plastic grocery bag around it---comforter had cigarette burns in it, and the bathroom was dirty in all the corners. to be honest I have never complained like this---but this room was dirty! on the plus side---the breakfast was very good with lots of options---I just expect more from a Best Western. the staff was wonderful---it was late when we arrived---so we just made the best of it.

Very nice motel, clean, modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room, great shower. The egg casserole for breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Only two minor drawbacks: tvs were not HD and the room was a little pricey ($125 per nite).

This was a one-night stay while traveling for a college football game. The location is easy to find and the room was reasonable. The bed and bedding was comfortable. All was ok except for the ants roaming the bathroom, in the room on the second floor. I alerted the front desk upon checkout--and he did not act surprised. If I'm back in the area...I'll find another hotel. My rating of poor--has to do with sharing a room with ants.

This was advertised as a Best Western property. They did a bait and switch. The front hotel is a best western but not the back property. The back property a isn't attached and not a hotel. It is a MOTEL and not very nice. This is where I stayed. I had an outside entrance which didn't feel safe. The bathroom paint and wallpaper were peeling. When I went to sleep, I thought the air condition was making noise. No, it was crickets in the air conditioner!!
