During this trip I stayed at 4 hotels, this was my favorite. Very clean. Climate contral was easy to use. I had a King room and the chair was like a lazy boy. It was great after a long day of driving to sit with my feet up. The breakfast was Hot: sausage, egg, waffles. Like that there was fruit.
The bed and pillows were really comfortable. Better than we have at home and my wife spends a fortune on bedding. The rooms are extremely clean and up to date. I fell asleep while surfing the TV for something to watch. Not that I was tired. but that is how many channels there were to select from. We were traveling through, but there are a lot of attractions in that particular area.
The rooms and hotel were extremely clean with everything in working order. Water pressure was great. Love the recliner in the room. They have a small bar that is nice.Family Restaurant attached to the hotel is awful. Just look at the reviews and save yourself by not eating there. Pools are very nice but the outdoor pool is closed now for repairs. They tend to book a lot of youth baseball teams in the summer which can sometimes make for an unpleasant stay if the boys get out of hand.(and no parent supervision). Otherwise we have stayed there over 40 times throughout the years and have always come back.
a nice place to stay. They have a pool inside and outside pool restaurant attached. Good rooms. They're clean very comfortable breakfast in the morning. A solid start to your day when you stay here
Room was very clean with a rubber ducky sitting on the bath mat in the bathroom...was a nice touch. We had a quiet room and a calming experience.
Clean, cute, and well-cared for property. The entrance was a little confusing, but the overall experience made up for the inconvenience of finding the building. They were also willing to accommodate my little dog who ended up not coming with this trip!
It is a beautiful hotel, the pool and hot tub were clean and wonderful. The bedroom was clean and neat and cozy. Overall a wonderful stay.
Beautiful Hotel with a hot tub, Sauna, and pool. Variety of hot and cold food choices for breakfast. Clean and quite hotel. The staff was friendly. Excellent place to stay for a very reasonable price!
I've been coming here for a long time recently. They made some changes that I believe are very good to the quality of the food and the service and the bar. The attached diner is awesome too. The swimming pool is super clean. It's so close in Wisconsin, Dells, and cheaper than any overpriced Lodge in the dells. The staff is friendly and awesome. I look forward to coming back as my new regular spot. I would book ahead of time though because you're on holidays it gets full pretty quickly.
We have been staying at this hotel for years. If you're in Mauston this is the place to stay! The rooms are very clean someone is always wiping things off and cleaning in the entire hotel. One of the best breakfasts in the area, lots of options to choose from and happy to see the Kringle is back! The staff is amazing. One of the best managers we have ever met, treats her guests like family and she even comes out to greet us with a warm hello and a hug. She takes great care of her staff and guests. The only thing we noticed this last stay is some of the breakfast items and products in the room have changed to something a little cheaper then what that have always had. I really hope this is not going to be one of those hotels that starts going down hill from the great quality they have always provided their guest. As always the staff always greeting everyone with a smile and hello, but the past few times we have came in the last year you could just tell the manager and staff seemed to be not as relaxed and comfortable being there. When you come to a place for 10 plus years you tend to pick up on vibes and feeling of people and the place. This past year just seemed different, maybe it was just from trying to adjust to having a new owner which can be tough sometimes. To the manager and her staff keep up the great work, we appreciate you all!
It's just another Best Western, lobby looked clean, I didn't go to the pool but it had one. The person behind the desk was polite and nice. The bar on the 2nd floor was amazing actually and the bartender was this older woman that had great stories, she sounded like she was from a mafia movie with the Chicago Italian accent. There was some kind of attached building in the hallway to the bar that was apparently not a part of Best Western, with a restaurant and a cute little cheese shop. The rooms look like your average cheap hotel room but tidy. Check out was a breeze. Would stay there again.
This is a nice motel but we had the misfortune to not have cold water working in our room and when we returned from breakfast our room key wouldn't work and required a maintenance person to open it. We weren't pressed for time so it worked out ok. Would give this motel another chance because it is a nice clean motel with a good bed and great breakfast.
This was a very clean hotel and an excellent stay. Room was clean, everything was clean. We saw them clean things that didn't even look dirty - for example the tile area near 2nd floor elevator was mopped several times/day, and there always seemed to be someone with cleaning cloth in hand cleaning windows, the lobby, breakfast area. Beds are comfortable. Didn't use the pool but it also looked clean and inviting. Breakfast good and well stocked. The attached restaurant is good, homestyle menu items, reasonably priced -- and you can get to it without going outside. Toilet in bathroom lower than we're used to but that's not even a complaint -- just observation in case important to you. An excellent value.
This is an excellent Inn. VERY clean, VERY friendly, VERY comfortable. The beds are amazing with wonderful pillows and coverings. The complimentary breakfast had many, many choices. The kitchen staff was friendly and kept the area very neat and well-stocked. Overall an EXCELLENT stay in a 2 Queen room - all for $110. Can't beat that!!
wish I had time to enjoy the property but just one night, convenient to highway, excellent facilities, slightly odd access, on site lounge - highway is close so not sure if rooms on other side might be noisy but I was on the backside, limited view, but nice room
The room was clean and had many special touches to make the stay enjoyable. Fancy folding of the towels and the ear plugs by the bed was super helpful. It was super convenient to be close to the Mauston baseball tournament fields. No more than 5 minutes down the road.
This hotel is a hidden gem. Staff is very friendly, pools are great. rooms are very clean. Breakfast items are never out. Beds were comfortable. Don't bother to go to the attached restaurant, the service is so/so but the food was awful. Silverware had hardened food stuck on it.
Friendly staff, clean hotel, and thank God, NO weed smell! Clean room with a lot of nice extra perks. Great breakfast... with hot breakfast options, and some healthy options as well. Swimming pool and hot tub. Attached lounge and gift shop!
We had one overnight stay. We came to the Mauston area for a family wedding. The hotel and rooms were very clean. All of the hotel staff we encountered were very welcoming, pleasant and professional. The breakfast offerings were good and all food was kept at the appropriate temperature. The breakfast area was kept clean and orderly. This is my second time staying at this location and I will continue whenever in the Mauston area.
The staff was phenomenal!! Clean rooms great amenities. Close to.the areas we were going to. Definitely coming back... the little problems we gad were dealt m with immediately and with a smile and concern. Staff was so polite and happy to help!!
Very nice. Great pool and whirlpool. The sauna could be a lot hotter. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very nice. The cabinet layout in the room we stayed could be improved... Apparently the "new owner" thought that the cabinet was useful in the middle of the room more or less. It would be better put in a corner.
We had numerous family members travel to the Mauston area to celebrate our Dad's 90th birthday. Our room was clean, the breakfast was exceptional, and the pool area was wonderful. Most of all, we appreciated being able to have a beautiful, and comfortable, area for our Dad to visit with family. Ms. Penny was so attentive to any needs we might have and her kind attention to detail helped make it a special celebration for our family.
Best value in area for a clean hotel with good service and a wide variety for breakfast! Pool, hot tub and sauna are clean. Excellent location next to I90 but far away enough from the Wisconsin Dells for no heavy congestion.
Top notch! This is a gem of a hotel! We had a suite with a gas fireplace and an in room hot tub. The room was clean, warm, and cozy. The room had all of the expected amenities: coffee maker, microwave, fridge. The staff was friendly and you could tell they went above and beyond to take care of the property: it was clean and well maintained. The pool area is great, nice and clean, with a hot tub and sauna. The breakfast was above average with many great options: waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, and so on. There was a lot of variety and the breakfast area was clean and tidy and staff kept everything full. The hotel is attached (via a small skywalk) to a lounge/bar (which we didn't use, but looked nice) and a restaurant and cheese shop. The restaurant was great, with homemade bakery in the morning (and fudge). It was convenient because we were able to walk over the night we checked in for dinner without leaving the property. The cheese shop was also fun: cheese, sausage, wine, beer, soda and gifts. Check it out! On top of everything else, the hotel is maybe 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. All in all, a great property. We will be back!!
The rooms were very clean, as well as the whole complex. Every time I passed a garbage can it was empty; halls and stairs were very clean. Breakfast area clean. Food was plentiful and good. Sausage, eggs, cereals, muffins, breads, etc. Very convenient area, right on the corner of express way. Lots of restaurants in the area. Family restaurant is attached to the hotel. Penny at the front desk welcomed us and answered any questions we had. When we checked out she thanked us and wished us a safe trip. We would stay there again.
This is a newer Best Western motel, from my observations on staying at another one on this road trip. The front desk staff were lovely; the rooms well laid out and very clean, including bedding and bathroom; quiet sleep at night, even though many 18 wheelers seem to stop in this town; easy parking. There is a nice indoor swimming pool, the outside one now closed for the season. I did not try their breakfast. Convenient to the interstate and other restaurants
Best hotel I've stayed at so far. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Breakfast there was the best I've had so far at a hotel. The variety of the food was surprising and the hot breakfast was cooked to perfection. The room was unbelievably clean with nothing out of place. I will be staying here again in the future, in my opinion this staff and hotel care greatly about their guest.
The quality of the hotel is about average. Most of the employees were kind and respectful. Our rooms smelled of cigarette smoke which was not great for our young children. Bedsheets and linens were clean.
The people were kind and courteous the room was clean and cool there's a restaurant on site they have a pool inside and out and it's a quiet area The Dells are only about 20 minutes south of this point there's a lot a little restaurants within 2 miles of this hotel
I was so surprised to walk into such a nice hotel for the size of the town we were in. The staff was great, and the rooms were very clean! Having two pool options was definitely a perk. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
This is a good, fairly new updated property away from the Wisconsin Dells. We were there visiting family. Has an indoor and outdoor pool. Breakfast had more variety then most hotels I've stayed at. Hallways smelt like a faint smoke smell and I assume it might come from the lounge that is attached to the hotel. Overall a good hotel at a decent price.
I used to live in mauston so traveling home was needed. Best western is great for prices and amenities. Always a good experience when I stay there. Recommend it when visiting mauston wi. Will never disappoint
Clean hotel and appreciated having the option to use the indoor or outdoor pool. Highlight of this stay was the kind and helpful staff. The receptionist went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, answering our questions. Will stay here again
This is totally a one stop place. You can take care of all of your needs at this Inn. Good gas station, cheese shop, gift shop, restaurant, bakery, fudge shop, bar and lounge, inside and outside pool and more.... Great internet and television as well. Squeaky clean too. I really cannot think of anything at the Inn that I would change.
Exceptional Place! Great parking for trailers (or semis). We stayed in the Jetted Tub Suite. Wonderful romantic stay with fireplace and cushy carpeting. The queen bed was firm. Soft and clean sheets and towels. Very very clean!! Plus, the bubbly tub was clean and had great Jetts. Loved the log cabin look. Breakfast was fantastic: eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, waffles, and all the rest of the dry and fridge stuff. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Great Hotel, Great Staff—-will stay again. Indoor & outdoor pools. Card keys worked every time. Hotel was quiet. Our room was nice with a very cold, good-size fridge. The microwave was also a very decent size.
I stayed one night, checked in a little early and checked out early. I also tried the continental breakfast as well. I ate at the restaurant and had little interaction with anyone else at the hotel. I stayed overnight on a Saturday.
We were absolutely impressed with the BW Park Oasis Inn. From check in to check out everyone that we encountered were courteous and respectful, We always had someone asking if we needed anything. We stayed in the Frontier Suite and it was perfect. The two rooms were nice as we had a living room with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom. The jetted tub was a an awesome feature after hiking during the day. Even though you are right off the highway the highway noise was minimal. WE will definitely being staying here again, hopefully in the fall.
We love that there is an outdoor pool (not open yet). We will definitely look to stay here if in Mauston during the summer. I personally loved the little rubber ducky left by the tub...and the ear plugs to drown out my husbands snoring!
Staff is always friendly and helpful and the hot breakfast is very good with a large selection. The attached lounge, restaurant and convenience store is nice so you do not have to leave once you arrive.
outstanding hotel from the breakfast to the front desk staff. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. We upgraded to suites and it was perfect for the rooms of four people. Everything was very clean. The pool area was nice as well. The breakfast was great with lots of choices and it was fully attended to by the staff.
I was working in town and switched to the BW after having stayied at the overpriced lodge place across the street. Wish I had changed earlier. This place is not as "fancy", but is clean and comfortable and a much better price. I had a room on the east side, away from the interstate, so I don't know how noisy the other side is. My side was quiet. The bed was ok. Shower had good pressure and the bathroom fan WORKS. There is an attached "ham and egger" type restaurant, which is nice when too lazy to go out again after returning from work. There is also a lounge, separate from the restaurant, if you like that kind of thing. Breakfast was above average, with a good selection of hot + cold items, waffle iron(s), pastries, and fresh fruit. I intend to stay here for the duration of my project.
Stayed here on a trip home from Florida. Our room was very clean - even had towel creations! There was a cute little rubber ducky on the bath matt. Our room faced a wooded area - it was very quiet. There is an attached restaurant on the 2nd floor that had SUPERB food - very pleasantly surprised and reasonable prices also. We really enjoy finding a hotel with a restaurant when traveling so we don't have to order for delivery or go out again to find someplace to eat. It is very difficult to do as we travel with our little dog and that really decreases the options of where you can stay. This hotel is pet friendly. Staff was very friendly and helpful also. We definitely will be staying here again. Thank you for a very nice experience.
We stayed here with family for one night. Slept in room with 4 adults. Rooms were quiet, didn't have to use earplugs. Pool and hot tub were nice and warm. Plentiful breakfast the next day. We've been here before and likely will be again. Nobody had complaints. The bathroom sink is in the bathroom, not outside it. For bigger groups, that might be more handy.
The room was nice. Got an upgrade to a 1 br suite. I liked the breakfast options that were offered. The bar was nice and friendly. Had darts and a pool table. The bar Pizza was good. Bar and room prices were good.
The entire staff in the hotel provided excellent service, which was great to see and hear. I have travel to many different states, it sure was a pleasure to meet and greed friendly faces everyday. It sure makes the days working out of town be more enjoyable.
The hotel staff were friendly and check in was quick. The rooms were cozy and the beds very comfortable. Ate at the attached restaurant and the food was warm and tasty. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The attached mini mart was a plus. Stocked up on munchies and drinks. The cashier was friendly and helpful. There was a pool and and a lounge there also. Great breakfast included with room.
This hotel is a gem for the price. Liked the restaurant and lounge option on second floor. Older hotel but very well maintained. Breakfast was best I've had in recent months while traveling around the Country
The staff, amenities, and cleanliness overall made my quick overnight stay a pleasurable experience. The hotel is convenient and quiet, and the location is nearby other traveler's amenities such as food, gas, etc. I am grateful for the fairness of the pet policy, and the way that pets are treated by the attending staff.
Our family stayed for 2 nights. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Our room was very nice and clean and the hotel as a whole seemed very well kept. We enjoyed both the pools and the hot tub also. They had nice amenities for guest use. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room which we used and also enjoyed very much. The room had a frontier style theme which made it really fun for the kids. It seemed like we were staying In a log cabin almost. Overall I would say the hotel was definitely worth visiting again and we will be back!
Very well maintained. Only place I stay in the area. The recent addition of breakfast was very nice, clean and a good variety for adults and children. The suite rooms are all I ever have because I like the spaciousness and small kitchen areas.
Overall great spot. Food is avaible close by. Rooms were clean. Easy to find. Staff was great and helpful. Castle rock lake is not too far from th3e location either. We enjoyed our stay and will choose this location again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
Good breakfast selection, very friendly staff, kids loved the pool and I loved the spa! We had a kitchenette room with a bigger refrigerator than normal which was awesome. Two pools to enjoy -- one outside and a heated one inside.
We very seldom sleep in a hotel. I must say from the minute we walked in the door we were very impressed. Clean, yep it even smelled clean. Very friendly staff. the room was amazingly clean and all was in order. What a great selection for breakfast!
Excellently set up hotel; quiet rooms, cleaned and sanitized (they put a sticker on the room's door that needs to be removed before opening the door to tell the customer that no one's been in there after it was sanitized) and the room really felt that way! indoor and outdoor pool, GREAT roomy hut tub, a family restaurant connected to a gas station and you can get to it through the hotel which comes in VERY handy on bad weather days or if you're just too tired to get in the car and drive. The lounge in the hotel is also nice! Everyone is friendly with a greeting and smile. Breakfast in the morning very nice and above average compared to other breakfasts. This place is great, can't say enough. Just one thing, the indoor pool was ice cold, I'm not sure if there was a problem (there were some pool guys there), but they really CAN'T leave it at that temperature.
Great service, clean, friendly staff, nice loop and hot tub. Real breakfast with bacon eggs and waffles. Everyone wore masks where appropriate and not when not needed!! We wiill definitely stay again!!
From the time I made the reservation over the phone, to checking in and checking out...we were 100% satisfied with our stay. The front desk attendant was so helpful and friendly. The pool/hot tub was great! The hotel was very clean (and I am picky about that)! The room was perfect for our family of 6 (queen suite). The beds were comfy. The breakfast included a hot sandwich, oatmeal packets, danishes, yogurt (good greek yogurt), almond milk options, chocolate milk (happy kids), juice, coffee, fruit...and so much more. Many hotels are just offering cold grab bags...this breakfast was still "covid friendly" but made all 6 of us happy and full! We will remember this hotel when traveling through this area next time! Thank you for your attention to detail and having quality, friendly staff!
The hotel is connected to the local restaurant / gas-station. No worries. You get a directly connected restaurant with a shop that has local items for sale. Also the outdoor pool is a bonus as it has an indoor pool and hot tub too. The bar/lounge was relaxing and friendly people made happy hour fun.
My husband was traveling through Wisconsin. I was following his progress on google maps. I chose this hotel according to Tripadvisor reviews. The reception employees were very nice both on the phone and in person. The hotel employees were using covid protocols : masks, room were "sealed" after cleaning, and only one family was allowed in the elevator at one time. My husband was really pleased with his room assignment with a king size bed. As he was unloading any liquid from his truck, he noticed another guy with a truck outside plugging his truck into to an outlet on a light pole. (the wind chill was -20 degrees) My husband happily followed suit with his diesel truck. He slept well with no noise all night. In the morning he enjoyed a hot shower and breakfast. There was a breakfast attendant in the room who kept the area well stocked. He said the "breakfast sandwiches" like a Jimmy Dean were really good and there was plenty of food and a nice variety. He would definitely stay there again. It was easy to find off the I-94 exit, there was a lovely cheese store within steps, and the parking lot was cleared early in the morning. All and all a great stay.
Great room size, perfect for our stay. Impressed with everything they have to offer! The bed was amazing! Just right size and firmness which is so important when you have a bad back. We will definitely stay at best westerns going forward!
I stayed with my dog and the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was great. We visited the bar and the restrauant and they were great also. Would recomend the hotel for family and business trips.
The hotel was clean and the rooms were clean. There was hand sanitizer at the ready and signs for SD. Most guest and employees were not wearing masks including the wait staff in the restaurant. If you are traveling cross country like we did and just need a place to stay this is ok. Just bring your wipes and stay in the room! If COVID was not a risk, I would highly recommend this hotel. I wrote this review to be helpful for those who are taking precautions and need a place to stay while traveling.
Our stay was excellent. we were there 2 nights, and enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly and kind. No problems, and no worries. We had a good time. the weather was great, and the atmosphere was also great. We have been there before, and always come back because we know we will receive good treatment. We like the beds especially, they are really comfortable. Thank-you
Best room for families! Very clean room and hotel. Room was so spacious! We even had a small rubber ducky waiting for us on the tub. The beds were so comfortable and there were many pillows. Great staff.
We had a very nice stay. We stayed over Valentines weekend, our son had a basketball tournament in Wisconsin Dells, I had waited to long to get a reasonable hotel there, so we booked this one in Mauston. The drive to the Dells was easily doable. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we liked the hot tub. The rooms were neat and clean, as was the lobby, elevator and pool area. We didn't go to the lounge or restaurant on site so I don't know about those but heard other hotel guests talking about how nice they were.
Kind staff, peaceful environment, best continental breakfast was great!! clean environment. Very awesome that the store and family restaurant was attached with skywalk. Also was nice that it had a bar (lounge) with games
The Park Oasis has everything. I bring home preserves and jerky for my son's. I get to have a completely one stop relaxing great time with friends. The breakfast is delicious. I recommend this destination!
We always stay at this hotel when in the area. The hotel and the pool are well maintained and were in excellent condition, had the best breakfast of any hotel I have ever stayed in, love the addition of direct tv from last stay.
I love this hotel! It's like a second home to me. I travel a bit for pleasure, and for craft shows. There is no doubt about where to stay when I come to Mauston. I have stayed in other Best Westerns, most of which are nice, but this one remains my favorite
The hotel was very clean and the bar area was very nice. We were there for an overnight stay. Right on the ATV trail. Conveniently located off the Hwy. The only thing I would suggest is a shuttle to go to the casino.
We stayed here for a wedding that was just a few miles away. It worked out great the Hotel was nice and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again if ever in the area!!
Enjoyed our two nights at the Best Western Park Oasis. Room was clean and appreciated the mini-fridge. Hostess at the desk was very helpful. Good breakfast but rather crowded. Quite a few young families with children. Hotel located next to the Interstate so easy to go back and forth. Would stay there again.
Updated, great comfy yet supportive bed. Everything felt clean. The breakfast had potato/sausage omelets and also soft fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon! Fruit, yogurt all and more you could want. Hot tub and pool were clean. Hard to find the driveway in at night.
The Park Oasis in Mauston, Wisconsin has become a go-to for our family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant (while looking a bit tired) serves tasty food, the adjancent mini-mart/gift shop is well-stocked, the cheese store on the property has delicious items for sale, and the Emerald Lounge is a favorite place to throw darts, play pool, drink a cocktail, and put money in the jukebox. Add to that a gas station on the property, and it's a very full-service place.
Wow !! What a great hotel !! Friendly staff superb facility and amenities galore !! Pool hot tub sauna and a great lounge to destress after a long day !! Clean rooms with a home feel !! Will definitely return!!
Mauston is the mid-point between home and my parents. Whenever we need to get a room for the night, this will be our choice. Great room, friendly staff, and a convenient location right off the Interstate. It's also next door to my favorite cheese shop in all of Wisconsin, Carr Valley Cheese.
Very nice place at a very nice price. Nice hot tub, both indoor and outdoor pool. Good and hot breakfast. Would definitely stay again!! All of the people were friendly and the rooms and lobby were beautiful.
Excellent Service! We arrived late and were exhausted - extrememly helpful staff got us our room right away - very helpful and would definitley stop there again next time we travel to NC or go thru Wisconsin
I usually don't stop at Best Westerns, but their sign was the first I saw on the freeway and it looked appealing from the exit ramp. It turned out to be a good choice for me. The hotel looks new, the rooms are fresh and clean, and the staff has been pleasant. There is a family style restaurant on site, serving good, home-cooked looking food. This was very convenient for me, as was the fast internet. There is a decent complimentary breakfast as well. Good choice.
This is a good hotel for the money. The staff at this location is very friendly and professional. The room, lobby and exterior premises were clean. Lots of parking. Good shower water pressure lol. And breakfast wasn't bad at all.
Our stay was wonderful. We wanted to try going away somewhere for a night with our dogs to see how the dogs handled it before a long trip. The room was nice and clean. Staff was wonderful. Our dogs did so well and we liked it so, we stayed an extra night. Pool was nice. Very pleasant stay
Over all great place to stay. Very clean and up to date. Great location with dining and lounge. Will keep it on my list of places to stay for future travels. Bartender was very attentive and colorful .
This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again and would recommend it to other travelers. There is a handy gift shop, gas station, restaurant and lounge, all connected to the hotel. There is an indoor and outdoor pool which we did not use.
We had a spacious room with two queen beds and a sofa bed, with a fridge and microwave. The pool area is open until 11 Pets are allowed with just a $5 charge. The complementary breakfast is much nicer than most motel offerings, with a nice assortment to choose from. All in all a great value.
Our team stayed here. It was close enough to the Dells with out all the distractions. It took a little time to figure out where the driveway was. It was a nice hotel with helpful, friendly staff. I stayed in the 2 king with sofa room and it was huge.
FOR A LITTLE GET A WAY WE WENT TO BEST WESTERN IN MAUSTON WI.THEY SERVE A NICE BREAKFAST .ENJOYED THE POOL AND HOT TUB.OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND WILL GO THERE AGAIN. MAUSTON HAS ALOT OF RESTAURANTS NEAR BY.WE LIKED TH
+ 2,825.32 April 2018Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean room. Unfortunately, the bathroom was cold. I don't know the secret of the oatmeal. It tasted so good. Staff was friendly. I'd rather stay at this hotel than a hotel near Madison.
Very caring staff & clean rooms make for a nice stay. This hotel has both. The staff recommended local restaurants for delivery. The hotel lobby is welcoming & clean. The room I stayed in was very clean & had a comfortable bed.
My family and I were on our way home from Madison and ran into a terrible blizzard along the way and the interstate was shutdown just north of here. It was 10am and we needed to find a place to stay for the night. Phone was answered quickly by friendly staff, they had an open room and allowed us to check in early. VERY friendly and caring staff, clean/up to date rooms, comfy beds, nice pool and hot tub, lounge/restaurant/gift-convenience store all in one. Fair prices and many options for breakfast!
Extremely comfortable, bedding was exceptional. Friendly staff would definitely stay here again. Restraunt had excellent meals, both breakfast and dinner, desserts looked amazing, hopefully next time I'll be able to try one, very convenient.
We got stuck in this town on our way home to North Dakota from Ohio. There was a nasty snow storm and it was too dangerous to drive. Our nerves were shot and the front desk personnel at this hotel were probably the nicest, most kind of any hotel we've ever stayed at (we've stayed at quite a few). We were worried about last minute booking with two puppies and were nervous we'd have to settle for an old stinky room since it was New Year's Eve...and not very many hotels are kind to last minute fur baby owners. They assured us the hotel welcomes pets with a very small pet fee, and the room we got was ground floor and beautiful. It was so clean it still smelled like laundry detergent. There was an adorable rubber duck on the big fluffy Bath towels and the beds were huge and super comfy. The hotel is located in the same-ish building as a log cabin style restaurant that is staffed with friendly folks if you don't want to eat at the very nice buffet in the lobby. There is an enclosed breezeway to the restaurant so you don't have to brace the elements to get snacks. The bathroom was very clean and pretty and the rugs all looked newish. The front desk lady even played with our puppy when we were checking out. We will DEFINITELY stay here again and highly recommend staying here to friends and family. We have stayed in more pricey, less nice places. This is an amazing gem.
Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfast. $5 to bring a dog in the room. Large area outside for Fido to roam. Bar and restaurant attached. Pool area looked very nice. They had complimentary ear plug in the room - how did they know my roommates don't enjoy my snoring?
Everyone; the hotel desk staff person, the breakfast area staff, and the housekeeping staff all made sure that we had a wonderful stay. We will _definitely_ choose the Mauston Best Western again when we are in the area. We are two of your most satisfied and pleased guests. Thank you for all that you do to ensure that your guests have a wonderful stay.
Clean, comfortable, and quiet room. Very good hot breakfast. Courteous, friendly staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.Too difficult to come up with the required 200 minimum characters for a review. Dumb.
This is a great hotel right off the highway. The staff is always helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant and lounge attached make this stay easy to relax after a long day on the road and good food throughout the day.
One of their specials the day I visited was a Turkey Dinner. I asked for all white meat and was served a big serving of excellent juicy turkey with mashed potatoes, dressing and corn. Good gravy, too.
I really don't know what they could do to improve this Inn. It looks great inside and out. Food is good, nice lounge with friendly staff as well. Spotlessly clean. Very up to date. Large TV in the room and very fast internet. Priced right too.
This hotel is absolutely fantastic. It's in a nice location without traffic, and has plenty of small town charm. The hotel itself is a great price, incredibly clean, and very quiet at all times of the day. Definitely check it out!
Easy check in, easy check out, everything was clean. Breakfast included, didn't try it myself though. The bed was sooooo comfortable, so much so we couldn't leave our bed! I loved that they had a microwave, so many places don't have them anymore when it's so essential. When we looked at the pool and Jacuzzi they looked clean, and we appreciated that it was crowded like places in the dells. Something simple, but this place has everything you need.
I stayed at the BW Park Oasis Inn on the way to our cabin. This was my first stay here after years of driving past it. It was a great place to stay and will stay again. The room was nicely updated and very clean. The staff was friendly. I didn't use the pool area so can't comment on that. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again!
Best place to stop on our trip. Ckean, super comfy, and very welcoming. The pools were fun. So nice to have an indoor and outdoor pool. The breakfast area was perfect. We had a wonderful time at the lounge celebrating our day. The bartender was so nice. Music was great too. Good time!
A convenient location close to the Interstate Hwy 90/94 on route from Madison, WI to Minneapolis MN, and only 11 miles from Elroy-Sparta, and "400" bicycle trails. A bit quirky access via the parking lot of the family restaurant/truck stop with a really tiny signage -- the hotel is easy to miss (but if you find it -- the rewards are immense). Beautifully landscaped grounds, very clean and contemporarily appointed. A clean and firm bed, a quiet A/C unit, plenty of water out of the shower head (I have seen it trickle in other hotels). Sufficient and good continental breakfast. Friendly service. Overall a good value. The hotel seems to be pet-friendly: I have seen a dog and a cat with guests. Fortunately, I have not been given a cat-friendly room, as I have allergies. Small disadvantages: * Staff seem to be running out of unflavored coffee all the time in the morning, having only one thermos of the unflavored java (should have at least two and rotate them). * Breakfast starts at 7:00 -- way too late if you want to take off early for a bike ride or for continuous travel. In other hotels I have seen breakfast starting as early as 4:30 a.m. to accommodate early risers/travelers. A great place: I am planning on coming back next summer.
It was a nice hotel before the remodel, but is now a fantastic hole and by far the nicest in the Mauston area. The indoor pool, hot tub and sauna were immaculate as were the rooms. The outdoor pool was beautiful as well. Even though we didn't take advantage of the attached restaurant and Lounge, they are nice emenities not always mentioned on booking websites.
This was a wonderful place to stay, especially after several weeks of travel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff helpful and professional. We especially liked the easy access to the restaurant and gift shop by going over an internal walkway. The restaurant was wonderful - great food at reasonable prices. Breakfast was good and the hotel has easy access from I90.
Just 1/2 hr away from the Wisc Dells. The Hot tub and outdoor pool were fantastic, although the indoor pool was a little cool. The shower on out first floor room is something I want in my house! Beautiful area!
This is probably one of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed at. Indoor, outdoor pool, in house restaurant, whirlpool extremely friendly staff and is very easy on/off expressway. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends
Remember when Best Western promised high quality roadside accommodations at a reasonable price? At Park Oasis Best Western you can return to those days of yesteryear. Just as I remembered, the room was spacious (a Best Western trademark). It was also clean as a whistle. The beds were soft but comfy and the desk offered good light and writing space. The big bath featured a large vanity top, sparkling shower bath, and big, fluffy towels. The attached restaurant is a smidge above a diner. The turkey I had would be good for perhaps another day and the gravy clearly came from a can. But I didn't stop here for the food; the motel is great..
I just finished staying at a Hyatt in Chicago for a convention and the room here at the Mauston Best Western is as nice, even more so, than it was. The room is exceptionally clean, the attached restaurant has good food and great service. I will definitely stay here again.
This is our second time staying here. It's clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is great. Close drive to the Dells. The staff we encountered during both stays were always friendly. Definitely will stay here again.
Excellent place. So nice to have hotel, restaurant, gas station and convenience store all in same spot. Love the pools and the jaquiz. We had so much fun we are going back again soon. The free breakfast was great, it saved us allot of money on food.
This hotel was a wonderful. It was very clean, quiet and beautiful area, good food, comfortable bed and great staff. I would recommend this hotel to all friends, family and co-workers for a short or longer stay.
Stopped at the Best Western Park Oasis in Mauston Wisconsin. Love Best Westerns always friendly, clean and great breakfast. Highly recommend this Best Western. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.
Although this hotel is older, they have done a wonderful job updating and keeping it clean. The breakfast options were great. We did not use the pools but they looked very nice. Outdoor pool was closed as it was COLD. Staff was excellent. This is a very good value. I would not recommend the attached lounge or restaurant, but we may have hit a bad night there. They were smoking in the bar and the restaurant food was very poor quality; had burgers that were a warmed up precooked ?meat. Salad was cheap and tasted like preservation chemicals.
This hotel is extremely nice, especially for the price. We stayed here while traveling. I called to reserve a room, and talked to Sarah at the front desk. She was helpful, polite, and even helped us order pizza to keep at the front desk for us until we arrived since we would be arriving late. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Impressive hotel.
We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and truthfully it is very nice. We usually stay here on our way to Minneapolis as it is about a 9 hour drive from the Cleveland area. As we were making great time, we decided to drive further and I called the hotel to cancel our reservation. I was told that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. That is totally ridiculous. I traveled for 30 years for business and EVERY hotel chain I have stayed at has a cancellation policy that as long as you cancel before 6 pm, there is no problem. After talking to the front desk for some time, she finally cancelled the room for me at no charged. We drove about 40 miles north to the Best Western in Tomah, WI and had no problems. If this is the policy at the Mauston WI location, I will not be staying there again. Again, every hotel chain I have ever stayed in has a cancellation policy of 6 pm. There is no reason to ever have this happen again. Good luck Mauston, not staying at your hotel again. I was told that this is an independent location. You are still going by the chain Best Western
We stayed Sun.Feb 25th &the front desk staff that night went above & beyond to make our stay wonderful. The pool was great, clean, quiet hotel, breakfast was amazing! A total bargain with 2kids and a dog! The attached restaurant was so good, especially after driving 12hours. I wish I knew the name of the gal working that night. She was so accommodating and went above and beyond. Because of her we will stay here again on our travels and recommend the hotel to others.
We had a very nice time . room are really nice. Beds are super comfy. This place has the best resteraunt and bakery on the 2nd level. Super great prices. They have huge Boston cream doughnuts. And chocolate malts to die for. You will not be disappointed.
I was on an unplanned trip, got tired of driving and pulled in here for the night. They had a room and I grabbed it. Very clean, quite large, well appointed, and quiet too. The desk staff was courteous and friendly, and actually cheerful. What a nice change from some other places I have stayed. The morning breakfast was the BEST I have ever had at a motel. Variety, fresh fruit, hot coffee, eggs, bacon, you name it - they had it. The attendant was cheerful and anxious to assist if needed. One of the more unusual things was the restaurant. It was attached to the hotel, but I believe probably separately managed. There was a bar and a lounge, in addition to the restaurant itself. I didn't get to the table until nearly nine p.m. but they were still serving, and my dinner was delicious. The service was good and the price very reasonable.
We stayed in the front tier sweet and it was absolutely gorgeous and meticulously clean! The staff was extremely helpful when there was an error in our reservation by a third-party booking and the hotel staff did everything they could to resolve the issue, and were very professional and sympathetic throughout the process .
Rooms were simple, but very clean and accommodating. Supplies well-stocked, beds very comfortable and clean. Place was very quiet (I don't think anyone else was staying on our floor). Enjoyed time at the lounge. Restaurant, however, was horrible- would not recommend.
This is such a great hotel, location, the staff is very nice and helpful too! The beds and pillows are better than I have at home, super comfortable! Very nice tv and a bunch of movie channels witch was really nice after a long day. They have a pool, lounge and also a restaurant too. Can't go wrong staying here.
I had a completely satisfactory experience here, which is more than I can say for most hotels in this price range / genre. I suspect it's because there were less people in this area and less of a chance of noisy neighborhood.
Great location, great hotel, great staff, great nights rest and all for a real good deal. This hotel is close to the Wisconsin Dells but the rates are better. I found the staff very cordial, polite and friendly even though I checked in after midnight and was the last registered guest checking in. I got a king size bed so I had plenty of room to work, relax and sleep. I look forward to coming back when in the area on business.
The hotel is always clean, friendly and eager to accommadate you. Staff is always pleasant. Rooms are comfortable and always, always clean and fresh. On my trips to Wisconsin I will always stay at the Park Oasis.
This is a great place to stay. Very clean the staff is amazing. The rooms are very up to date. We were here on leisure, and I will stay here again the next time we are in the area. Keep up the good work at this hotel.
Very nice, they did not have a Continental breakfast but are currently adding it. The restraint next door was conveniently attached to the hotel which was very nice. Nice clean place, friendly staff. Pool area looked nice didn't use it.
Great Hotel. Clean and Large Rooms. Plenty of towels. Very freindly staff. Great location, near the highway. Attached restaurant and gift shop. Convient gas station. I would definately recommend tthis hotel and will definately stay here again.
Hotel has a musky odor throughout. The "business center" is a PC in the lobby with no chair and a broken printer they can't get working. Front desk often has nobody there, you have to wait for someone to show up to help. Coffee in lobby is nasty even when just made. But, the room was nice and clean, and staff was friendly and professional. And in a small town like Mauston, this may just be as good as it gets.
The lounge didn't seem to be part of the Best Western. The restaurant wasn't part of the motel, but rather a service station diner. The breakfast food and selection was good, but the lack of free breakfast was a surprise. Location choices of nearby restaurants was limited.
We were biking the trails and this was a good location for getting to the trails and other local sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were perfect after a long day of biking!
We took a room at this hotel while traveling through Wisconsin on our way to South Dakota. Very nice, clean hotel. Our room was great and the mattress on the bed was one of the best we have ever slept on at any hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel again any time we are traveling out West.
Very good place to stay while doing business in the smaller rural cities; strategic location to food outlets, car care needs, and very close to the main interstate highway. Complete hotel amenities and internet speed is excellent which is the most important factor especially in business trips like this.
I stayed there in June, for the whole weekend. It was a great hotel! The hotel itself is down a side road, away from the interstate. The hotel room was nice and clean, and things were pretty modern. There was no free breakfast, but they did give me a $6 coupon if I wanted to purchase breakfast. The staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about guests having a satisfactory visit.
I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice room and loved that the restaurant and lounge were accessible without having to go outside. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Front desk staff wasn't rude, but not overly friendly either. Overall, real nice experience.
My impression of the typical hotel along an interstate highway is it well used and is just an adequate place to crash for an evening. The Best Western Park Oasis rises quite far above that standard. The interior seemed recently renovated so it didn't show the visible wear that I expect for a heavily used location. The corridors and rooms were clean and without smudges and marks. The carpet was clean and the hotel did not make heavy use of scents to cover up odors. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and everything in the room was functional. The decorating in the room was not fancy but was tasteful enough to give the room some semblance of a homey feeling. My only complaint is that the in room refrigerator was set to defrost in the evening and did not start cooling until again for a few hours after we checked in. Our room was on the side of the building away from the interstate, so it was quiet. I suspect that rooms facing the interstate might not be as quiet but I can't confirm that. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
Stayed in a clean, quiet roomy room with a nice (chairy?) chair, a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with a good shower and generous counter space. Was a great place to relax before nearby show and to rest after it before hitting the road again. Given coupon which could be used used at the attached restaurant. (Or to load up on candy at the convenience store!)
Beautiful location right off an Interstate with NO road noise. Restaurant attached with a bar lounge area between hotel and restaurant. Indoor and outdoor pool was fabulous! Foyer was neat and decorated so nice and the rooms clean and spacious! Would recommend for families and couple getaway! We loved it!
Great staff. Clean rooms. Wish there was a gym, and free breakfast. But they give you a coupon which works. Really nice pool and hot tub. Loved the lazy boy in the room. Need to have silverware at front desk is all I ask. Wifi is good. Speed are about 3mbps.
This is not like most Best Westerns they do not have breakfast like most, no work out area - have to go to a local fitness center down the street. Location is just off the highway, does have a gas station and a restaurant attached to the hotel. They give you a $4 coupon for breakfast. I had breakfast one time, it was ok. They do have a pool indoor and outdoor, the indoor also has a spa tub. The pools are not heated. This is a smoke free hotel. Did try to check in an hour early, was told my room was not ready. Do not have a lot of places to stay in Mauston, WI
The hotel overall was nice with friendly staff. There were coupons for the attached family restaurant and gas station that you could pick up whenever you needed. My only true complaint was that the smokers were very close to the doors as thats where the ash trays were located which then made the halls stink. I also overheard multiple guests of their rooms complaining of smoke, which thankfully we didn't have that problem.
An older property but reasonably well kept up. Stayed for one night. Clean room and quiet. No free breakfast. Were given a $6 coupon we could use for breakfast or gas at the truck stop next door. We chose gas. Didn't have a chance to use any of the hotel amenities.
Very pleased with stay. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Hotel clean and convenient. Pool area was great (indoor/outdoor pool/sitting area. Lounge was fun with pool table and other games. This is first BW that we stayed that did not offer breakfast but the attached restaurant was very good and BW provided discount coupon. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Easy on/off highway and convenient gas along with other necessities. Also the cheese shop on the way in (or out) has lots of choices. Buy there - not in the gift shop attached to hotel - even with the 10% discount coupon provided by BW, the cheese shop is much less expensive.
We were looking for a place to break up our trip to Minneapolis. We tried Madison and the Dells area they were all disappointing. We tried the Best Western in Mauston. Caution - examine the web site if you are going to book on line. The first site I tried was a dummy site that looked like the real site. During the registration they never confirmed the chages they just took the credit card and ran. They did send me a confirmation but it was for $120.14. When I called the number on the statement they claimed that they were an agent for Expedia and the charge was $105.15 (the base price posted on the site was $80.99 they added $24.16. and a processing fee of $14.99. After some tender moments they agreed to cancel and refund all of the charges. This part of the story may continue as I'm waiting for the refund for thir "processing fee. I did call the the Best Western in Mauston the confirmed that she "Sam" was a human at the Best Western. She was exceedingly helpful made a recommendation for the room location - which was excellent. When we checked in we were surprised at the condition of the room! They had apparently updated the fixtures and the bed. The room was clean and smelled clean. There was coffee and a refrigerator in the room but no continental breakfast. Since they are next to a restaurant and they gave you a $5.00 coupon it was a better deal except for those who relish the standard fare for a free motel continental breakfast. We have found the best way station. Oh, the total charge for booking was $89.50.
The rooms are among the cleanest I have experienced. Restaurant was a great value as well. Good menu and reasonable prices. Lounge was nice too. I really cannot find anything about this Inn that wasn't way above reasonable expectations.
Excellent place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would go out of my way to stay at this motel. Very clean and the restaurant was outstanding. The entire facility was very clean. Ex- help in all areas,
Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms! Outside appearance is inviting with a large pond and well kept landscaping. They do not provide breakfast at the facility, however they do give coupons for $4.00 off purchases at the restaurant/lounge or at the Shell station that is located next door. They also provided a 10% discount coupon for the cheese store that was located very near the facility. Check in and check out was very efficient. There is plenty of free parking. The price for such accommodations was outstanding especially considering the close proximity to the Wisconsin Dells. The bathroom was small but not much different from many hotels. A refrigerator was provided in the room. The internet service was fast and the cable television had both HBO and Cinemax.
I was very surprised at the cleanliness and amenities of this hotel. Great food, pools, staff, clean rooms etc. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. I would have never expected a best western to be this great.
This was a great hotel! We planned a family trip to Wisconsin Dells, and the cost of lodging to stay there was insane! We got a great room for less than $100/night and we were only a 15 minute drive from the Dells! The hotel has been recently remodeled. The rooms are very clean, and the kids loved the indoor pool while the grownups loved the hot tub!!!
Went for a work meeting in a neighboring town - hotel has indoor and outdoor pool - bar restaurant and lounge - was very clean and service was excellent - very nice staff in hotel and restaurant - gave each of us a $4 coupon off breakfast - 10% off purchases in the Gift Shop.
Based on location and my own ignorance, I had very low expectations for our stay at this property. Upon arrival and throughout my stay I couldn't have been happier anywhere else in town. The Emerald lounge (Connie is awesome) and Oasis restaurant made for an all-inclusive type of stay and the rooms and customer service were top notch. Will definitely return!
This was a nice hotel that was conveniently located along the freeway as we were traveling. It had a nice restaurant that was open late. The breakfast offering was good and there plenty of places to sit and enjoy breakfast. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
We come every year and stay for the baseball tournament. Staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean. Kids enjoy using the outdoor pool after playing ball all day. We also use the outdoor picnic area to grill.
This Best Western hosted our leadership conference of 60 people. They were AWESOME! Service, flexibility, kindness, professionalism... I can go on. Thank you team! You served our group above the call of duty!
The room was very clean and the bathroom looked like it was remodeled recently. Overall, the pool area was a bigger, decent size. Liked that the restaurant was hooked on and they give you a discount coupon for breakfast as they don't have a continental one. We will definitely stay again if we return for baseball.
Very clean, and amenities were great! Enjoyed the salt water pool, hot tub and sauna. Hotel restaurant and bar are top notch. The food is prepared with home cooking touch. The atmosphere gave a sense of home feeling. We will stay there again.
Very comfortable stay - good nights sleep. Very few great restaurants in the area unless you wanted to drive. Very clean and quiet even tho many young baseball teams were staying there too. Very nice and helpful staff.
I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The hotel was great - clean, updated, staff was friendly. The restaurant needs improvement. Food was average at best. The bar/lounge was nice. Bartender was efficient - as well as sociable.
I took a little road trip without knowing exactly where I was headed. When I saw the Park Oasis Inn, I decided to stop. Mainly because they advertised a lounge, restaurant, and hotel all in one place. I didn't have high expectations when I pulled up, as many of the exterior sign lights were burned out. But I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. There's a beautiful lobby with a fireplace and seating area. The staff were friendly at the front desk and my room was very clean. I only planned on staying one night and continuing on but I enjoyed the hotel so much that I stayed for 2 nights. The food in the attached restaurant is so-so. Nothing special but the hotel gives you a coupon at check-in to use there so it was a great value. The lounge is where the excitement is if you want it. As a precaution, if you're traveling as a solo woman, you should be careful of the clientele, many of whom are truckers sleeping in their trucks in the adjoining parking lot. Needless to say, I met a lot of new and interesting people and the bartenders on both nights were excellent! As far as amenities go, there's an indoor pool and sauna. There's also an enclosed outdoor pool. The room was very comfortable with quality toiletries, a mini fridge, a coffee/tea maker, a safe, a desk, iron and ironing board, and a TV (which I didn't use so can't comment on the cable selection). Overall, I'd stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
My wife and I were traveling to a dog show with our border collies. We booked a room at the Park Oasis in advance. They have a reasonable pet fee and a pet deposit. We were concerned about the deposit part of the reservation because we've heard stories of other travelers being burned on getting their deposit back from other hotels. In this case, everything worked out fine! The room was pleasant, the staff was very friendly, and there was plenty of room to exercise/walk the dogs outside. There was a nice pool/sauna area and the whole property seemed quiet and peaceful. We had a good night's rest and would recommend this property to any traveler in the area.
Great place; very clean and a friendly staff. Everyone was helpful and caring; super comfy beds. Food at adjoining restaurant was very good and a great value. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you ever stay in Mauston.
Great facility with a nice restaurant onsite. Staff was very welcoming and the hotel and rooms were very clean. They have a nice pool and hot tub area as well. Rooms were large and came with fridge and microwave. Would stay here again for sure.
I loved our suite me and my boyfriend got for our 2 night stay! Beautiful bed and the jacuzzi was so much! The only thing that disappointed me was the pool closing so late and staff not cleaning so much.
I felt little things really surprised me. The staff was friendly, and greeted with a smile. The suite was gorgeous. The rustic look was spot on. First ever hotel that had make up remover wipes in the room. I'm a women, so that was a big deal to me. Lobby is what I wish my living room looked like. We visited the pool, that was nice. They had a sauna, but I didn't utilize that. We spent the evening in the lounge. It was cute. Great pizza!! Had a nice conversation with the bartender. It was all around a very well cleaned, and beautiful place to stay.
Stayed here on a recent business trip. I was driving a truck and trailer so the first thing I really liked was the parking, plenty of that! I was greeted by a friendly staffer and I liked the feel of the place, kinda woodsy and rustic. My room was nice and clean. They have what looks like a nice restaurant on sight (I didn't eat there as I ate in the lounge). The lady running the lounge was very pleasant and helpful when it came to choosing something to eat. I had some WI beers and enjoyed some downtime there. I was able to fuel up at the Shell station next door so I would say that this is a very good location whether you are driving a truck or on a family vacation. I would certainly stay here again.
Was driving to Chicago last week from Minneapolis and wanted to get a jump start on the trip so left in the evening and drove to Mauston and stayed at the Best Western Park Oasis Inn. Arrived late and left early the next morning. Staff was very friendly and room was very clean. Biggest surprise was the complimentary breakfast that greatly exceeded our expectations. Big variety of really good breakfast foods; very clean dining area and courteous staff. For a reasonably priced motel, it greatly exceeded our expectations.
Very nice hotel! Had both an indoor and outdoor pool and a hottub. Very nice rooms good size. Overall had a good experience at this hotel and would stay again if in the area! It was at a fair price also!
Last week I stayed in this Hotel, it was very nice, Clean and very friendly staff. My overall experience is very comfortable, price is very much affordable, all the .ameneties are clean and good quality products. No Bed bugs, well furnished room. I really had a pleasant experience Will be coming back.
We stopped here because it is about half-way on our journey. We got the last room, which was a suite, and they gave it to us at a discounted rate. We enjoyed the lounge at night, then we enjoyed the whirlpool and sauna before having breakfast at the restaurant. Everything was SUPER!
Easy access off the free way. Restaurant attached had very good food and service. Bar also in hotel had good service. Friendly helpfull staff. Clean room. Indoor, outdoor pools, hot tub. We did not use either pool or hot tub.
Every year for the Cranberry Festival, we stay at the Best Western Park Oasis. The hotel has always been clean, the staff friendly, and the price reasonable. They make it easy to check in, hold a reservation for next year, and easy to check out. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and courteous. I have always enjoyed my stay here.
Everything about this hotel was excellent. The restaurant was easy to get to from inside the hotel. Breakfast was very good and hotel gave a voucher for $6.00 off the charge of dinner or breakfast. Would stay again if need arises.
Went up to Mauston, Wisconsin for a golf weekend there and at nearby Tomah, Wisconsin. Best Western was absolutely great. comfy beds, extremely clean and outstanding staff. Lounge needs to establish a no-smoking rule as they have a "room" attached that allows all the second hand smoke into the lounge area, but not a deal breaker since I'm no lounge lizard. Everything else wonderful, including on-site restaurant.
What a wonderful surprise. The hotel was so clean. They had a outdoor pool. The beds were comfy and smelled clean. The shower was powerful. They had fridge as well as a microwave in the room. The people were pleasant at the front desk as well as the cleaning staff. I booked because of the reviews on trip advisor and couldn't agree more with everyones positive reviews. Really nice!
We try to stay in Best Westerns when we travel and were a little unsure about Mauston. We were delightfully surprised. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. (considering they are right off the interstate) They have a bar and restaurant attached. We ate both dinner and breakfast and the food was good. This location has an indoor and outdoor pool and the night we stayed it was barely used. Considering the amenities and nightly rate, this is an excellent choice to stay at if you are in the Wisc Dells area
Very nice hotel. It was the nicest Best Western That I have stayed at. They had a restaurant and lounge. It was connected to a gift shop that had Wisconsin cheeses and beers. Nice large, clean modern room.
Park Oasis is one of the best Best Western's to stay in. It's convenient to Wis.Dells and other area attractions. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Always stay there on visits to my family.
After long day of travel was looking forward to a good nights rest. Hotel is clean but a little dated. Carpets in room looked a little suspect. Road noise from interstate is constant and must be close to main rail line as I heard that all night. I am used to BW Plus hotels and this is definitely not the same. Staff were good and checkin was quick. Overall stay was ok but would plan to stay in future.
The room was very comfortable. Clean, attractive, everything in excellent working condition. Internet worked well. Bed was comfortable. Pool / hot tub area was clean and pleasant. I like the noon check-out time.
This is second time we stay here. The place was as good this year as last year . Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was nice on check in. Room was quit. They give you a six dollar off coupon to use for breakfast or in the store.
Maughs Town was later called Mauston. This tidbit in the introductory hotel literature helped me to remember how to pronounce it. Stayed here three nights for a second trip to Wisconsin Dells. GPS (TomTom) tried to take us way out into the countryside because it didn't find the address. But the cell phone (Android with Google Maps) located it right along the interstate. The key card was linked to the lights and thermostat which was a new concept to me, but made sense so that appliances aren't left running and wasting energy. Appreciated the tap feature on the door entry, especially when my hands were full with luggage. First impression was good, our beds were setup as requested and the furnishings included a desk and chair and another chair. Wi-Fi worked like a charm. The A/C really cooled things off quickly. Our room location wasn't far from the elevator and close to the ice machine. The bathroom mirror was generously sized. Adjustable spray head worked according to one's stream intensity preference, which I make point to mention because many hotels offer these but so few actually work, being corroded with hard water deposits over time. Good water pressure and marble cabinet tops. The sizing of the shower space was ample so that one could turn to reach for a washcloth without having their arm in the soap dish. The weather began mild, so we took advantage of the outdoor pool. Then we got thunderstorms and spent all day walking in museums, so the hot tub was perfect for aching legs. By the third day it was extremely hot weather and the indoor pool soothed our sunburns. When the staff came in to let us know it was closing time, they were very friendly about it, and even handed us towels just to be nice. When we'd walk out for a day of vacation adventure, the desk attendant asked us how we were enjoying our stay. Used the fridge daily to keep cold pop on hand. If I had to complain about anything it would be the one squeaky floor tile in the bathroom or the tricky tub plug that moves when the water is turned on. But one could just move it back in place to catch hair from going down the drain. The microwave had a dial rather than buttons so it was simple to operate, but there was some guesswork as to the timing of the cycle. Comfortable bed and pillows, and the alarm clock had a pleasant cathedral chime setting. We received a complimentary coupon for the adjacent restaurant but did not utilize it preferring Wendy's across the street. I would go back, and I don't say that about very many hotels, but had a really nice time.
Room I stayed in was an apartment suite that had a full size refrigerator, stove and microwave. Included dishes and silverware. Room 120. Very convenient to the Woodside Sports Complex. Room was clean, the king bed was comfortable but pull out my son slept on was flat like a pancake. He made it work. Liked the thermostats in each room for comfort control. Indoor/outdoor pool was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
By far one of the best motels I have ever stayed in. Everyone was helpful and the rooms by far were roomy and comfortable. Highly Recommend anyone going to the Dells to consider this motel which is only 20 minutes away. Thanks again for a pleasant and great stay.
Very clean!!!!! Indoor and outdoor pool were great. Stayed for our daughters fastpitch team. Elevator broke for 3 days but management acknowledged it and gave a discount without asking. Lots of places around. Very pleased. Also offered discounts for restaurant or gas station
Just off the interstate, this hotel is clean and comfortable. It's an older property, but more than adequate. Service is excellent. It has its own restaurant on the premises, with good home-cooked food.
I've stayed multiple times, and the customer service is great. The rooms are always clean, and the staff, housekeeping included are always first class. There is a little bar attached as well as a great cafe and cheese/wine shop. It has a great location off the interstate and close to the baseball tourneys. Multiple other stores within a mile drive.
Stayed here recently while our daughter attended a day camp. Room was recently renovated and the public areas are in excellent shape. A lot of families staying with kids having a good time, but the room stayed quiet. Attached restaurant has very good food at very reasonable prices...indoor pool and outdoor pool are very relaxing. Staff has been extremely friendly...front desk, management, housekeeping...everybody!
It's not the biggest or fanciest hotel but it's a clean and comfortable sleep for a good value... and isn't that what really matters? The front desk staff and the clean staff are also very friendly and helpful.
beautiful rooms, big rooms great beds very comfy. they have a restaurant attached and a gas station and cheese store. they give you discount coupons to them too. in room coffee, no continental breakfast due to the restaurant. king room $99 and worth it. Huge bathroom very nice shower, good water pressure.
Was vary happy with the amenities. And the motel itself. It is vary convenient to the woodside baseball park. Especially when they all play at different times. I like the idea of an indoor pool and outdoor pool ,especially at this time of the year.
When I travel the only things I look for is price, comfort, fitness room, and clean. I was very satisfied with price, comfort, and clean so in that sense I was happy. As far as the fitness room it was off site not on the property. It is listed here on Trip advisor that it has a fitness room, but the catch is it is off site at a local exercise club. I feel it was false advertising but not mentioning it was not at the hotel. So no jog for me today before my long drive.
We can always rely on a relaxing time here. Summertime is our favorite!!!! Love the pools and being able to enjoy the outdoors!!! The grounds are always well taken care of. It is extra nice to have a lounge on site and a restaurant. we love it here....always!!!!
Assistant Manager Julie,Erin, and Caitlin went out of their way to help with our disabilities. Made us feel like family. The excellent dinner consisted of large T bone steak, salad, and homemade soup and rolls.
Way above expectations! Our pet-friendly room was super large with a kitchenette area with sofa bed that was like an adjacent room. Comfy beds & pillows were the ahhhh factor. Pool and hot tub area was big and bright and clean. Even had a sauna room. Bonus surprise were the freshly baked cinnamon rolls in the restaurant as big as a saucer and reasonably priced. We have already booked our next stay here.
This is an excellent place to stay near the Wisconsin Dells without the expense. If you are trying to cut costs for your vacation this is an excellent choice. This is a very clean and quite motel with comfortable beds. Good choice for a good nights rest. I will be staying here when in the area on business. The room was well lite and had easy assessable outlets for sleep aides and electronics. I did not have to rearrange furniture to find the outlets I needed, This motel is an excellent choice.
nice hotel with bar and restaurant... good deal Snowy weather is gone, rain, snow back, now it may get nice out. Next visit will be soon. I dont know what else to type... good place if you are near Mauston.
Stayed there one day ! Everything was very nice .The pool and hot tub was very good. The help was very nice and if they wern't behind the desk they was fluffing pillow and polishing in the lobby.Location short drive to dells. They give you a 6.00 coupon to spend at store attached.
This hotel is very nice and clean. Has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The restaurant has good food and priced well. There is a lounge and gas station that's all connected. Staff is very friendly and courteous.
I thought the room and bathroom was clean, everything in order. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. The HVAC was very noisy and efficient, as I turned the heat on and it was hot in the room. I didn't run the heat overnight. Too much noise, but the room was warm from running prior to going to bed. The bathroom was spacious and had good thick towels. There was a small refrigerator in the room. There is no night light in the bathroom, and when you turn on the light, the fan runs. Soap and shampoo was available. The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. There is a pool area and a really, really small bar. It was smoky in the bar. I stayed on the first floor. No noise in the hallways or from the highway. The parking lot was a bit small. I would stay here again.
This place is a bit dated but clean throughout. Interesting lounge with a pool table. We went to the restaurant for breakfast which had great fare. We even had cheese curds. Good breakfast. I guess they are also associated with the truck stop.
Great value. Fantastic breakfast. Kids loved it. Would go here again when visiting the Wisconsin Dells area. Good rooms and high tech key scanners etc. It has a dry sauna, hot tub, and nice pool. Staff was very friendly.
Excellent clean hotel with nice indoor pool and comfy beds. Nice to be able to get free access to the Snap Fitness as well. Free wireless internet was quick and easy to access. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for the price! Would stay again if was in the area.
This place really has it all... Stayed here with sports team group for basketball in the Wisconsin Dells. Rooms where very clean and standard size. The bonus is the incredible extras. Indoor and Outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was REALLY nice and tucked away and in the sun. A short walk from the pool to a bar. The property also included a family style restaurant and full convience store. It was great to have it all in one place. More value than the Dells (not cheap) and a lot less hussle and bussle than the Dells. Great place if you want more than a 'room'.
We stopped for an overnight here. Rooms were clean & updated. Staff was friendly. Restaurant had good food & service (no fresh fruit available though). It was a very good hotel for the price!! I would use this hotel again. The pool is good-sized & my daughter loved the cheese store with the large selection of cheese-head hats.
The hotel is on the snowmobile trail which is a big plus, the snowmobile trails in area are scenic and good. They have a big enough parking lot to accommodate trailers. They have a good restaurant on site, helpful staff, gift shop on site, gas station on location, and bakery on location. We ate breakfast and dinner at hotel, the food and service was good. We also had bakery items for breakfast too. We hit the hot tub and pool after snowmobiling. It was our first snowmobile trip as a family. We would go back to Best Western Mauston for sure.
This place is presently in a very steep dive! For years I have stopped at this location for a few drinks and a bit of conversation during my business travels and I have always found it to be a very nice, quiet, five star establishment, however, in the past eight months, due to what I have been told is drama between the kitchen and bar owners and staff, cost cuts and subsequently perilously stressed out staff, the food quality has been reduced to the level of a Waffle House, the mixed drink quality has gone down to that of a hard core biker bar and the attitude of the staff has blown down to that of a seedy strip club. I was in on Thursday, February 11th of 2016 and the lone bartender, whom has apparently been stressed completely out of her wits by the harrowing experience of caring for her boyfriend, who is a very lucky to be alive cancer patient, appears to now be desperately in need of help herself. For nearly eight months she has vented about the stresses of caring for her boyfriend and daughter, however now, that very healthy conversational venting of stress has apparently evolved into totally out of control anxiety in that we were being mixed such horrible drinks that most of us were drinking beer and wine coolers instead of mixed drinks and when I asked her for a fix for Margarita that tasted like pure alcohol she dumped in a load of some sweetener which made it totally undrinkable, when I asked her, "What was that?" she replied, "You said that you wanted it sweeter!" The drink was so horrible that, though I paid for it, I gave it back to her. I spent a few more hours having beers and conversing with various customers, as usual, and I noticed that she was tweaking and making contorted expressions like she was freaking out over the very common casual conversations that various customers were having at the bar and when I showed a guy a picture of a $190,000.00 car with a panoramic roof that I wanted to buy and I described it as a pimpmobile she freaked out and told me that all that I talk about is pimps and when I left, she slammed the door and I could hear her freaking out behind it... Which made me wonder if she didn't have some past experience being trafficked...?? Anyway, I don't know if this woman is bipolar, highly stressed or whether she has been driven to substance abuse by dealing with her loved ones medical conditions, but I hope that she is able to get the psychological help and stress relief that she clearly, desperately needs... I also hope that The Emerald Lounge is able to get its act back together, restore its once great food quality, correct its management problems and pull out of the dive that it is in, because for years this has been one of the best stops between Chicago and Minneapolis and I would really hate to see it go under.
I was happy to get a room with two queen beds as that gets me the star pillows I always need to get comfortable. People here were great and that is always a big plus when you are traveling. It is not an elaborate by any means but a nice clean comfortable place to stay. And a great location off the highway.
Been staying in this hotel on a frequent basis. Food in the attached restaurant is top notch. Room quality is great. Rates are reasonable. Recently redone swimming pool and hot tub. Overall great value for the money.
The motel is very clean and modern. I couldn't see anything that could be improved upon. The adjacent restaurant is wonderful and there a several restaurants nearby that deliver. A nice lounge on premises as well. Nice pool too. There is an excellent bakery there too. Just park your car and enjoy the facilities.
First time I've stayed at the Park Oasis. It's right next to the interstate so it's easy to find. The facility is in excellent condition from the lobby right to the room. The staff was courteous. I used the attached restaurant for breakfast and was very pleased as well. The lounge was busy the night I was there and the lone bartender did a great job handling the crowd. I highly recommend this place.
Has everything you need and is so convenient. Food was very good, rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay at this motel again. we were able to get out of our vehicle and not have to drive again until we were ready to continue our trip the next day. Food on premises, gas station and gift shop were also available.....
Stayed there as the price was right and attached full service restaurant. Breakfast was very good, but evening supper special was not good. Had the turkey special and the meat was pulled and was like it came out of a water bath to keep it warm. Worst turkey meal I have ever had. Beds are very firm. Not sure if they had options?
Selected this hotel because it is midway between Chicago and the Twin Cities. I arrived after 11 pm and was quickly check in. The room I found was well appointed and, above all, clean. The only downside is that there was no breakfast but a $4 off coupon for the restaurant. I would stay here again.
Go see Connie in the lounge area. She really makes you feel like you've been coming here for years. She was very accommodating. Turned on the the big 10 championship game for us cooked for us The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. Best night sleep I've had in a long time. One of the best hotel experiences we've had and didn't cost a lot. Will definately be back.
The best in the area and the only one I ever stay at. There are only a handful of hotels to stay at in Mauston and this one far exceeds the quality of the others. Employees are very friendly, attached restaurant and store is great quality and convenient.
Excellent hotel, fair restaurant, awesome staff in both restaurant and hotel. Lounge is the reason we keep coming back. Connie the lounge manager is great. She makes everyone who comes in there comfortable. The restaurant breakfast is very good. Dinner menu is average. Prime rib was very tough. We always go there in October and December. The December decorations are always beautiful. (Hotel doesn't smell. I was in the pet approved room and there still was not a smell! We have stayed in the suite and it was big enough for my husband, myself and our child. Delivery service was expensive. Make sure you look at that charge!.
We have stayed here before but it had been a while. It was really nice coming back to Mauston again. The Inn is super clean. The adjacent restaurant is very good as well. I have a big appetite and ordered the 24 oz. T Bone Steak. At $17.49 I figured it may not be too good. Boy! was I wrong. The steak was great and the homemade dumpling soup that I had first was the best ever. I wish this place were closer to our home. We would dine there often. All of the entree's on the menu were good. We were watching people as they received their dinners. Everyone was impressed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. TV was good with a lot of channels to choose from. All in All, This place is a "10". We will come back again for sure.
Stayed here one night traveling East. It is a very comfortable hotel with a decent restaurant connected to it. The rooms are predictable and tidy. Culvers Restaurant is nearby. The rates are reasonable.
We stayed here on a Wednesday night.. We got there late but the front desk clerk was very nice and right there and checked us in. We noticed the moment we walked in how clean and updated it was. She was very thorough about explaining all the services and amenities. We didn't get a chance to try their restaurant or lounge area but definitely will next time!
Stayed here while traveling up north. Easy to get to right off the interstate. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I had to wait a bit for someone to come to the desk for check-in, but when the woman came she was very nice. They did not have a breakfast on site, but provided a coupon/gift card for the restaurant next door.
We stay at this Best Western every year for the Cranberry Fest. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is also nice, especially being able to use the hot tub to soak after a long day of walking.
Live in Appleton and this was 1st time staying overnight for the Warrens Cranberry Fest. We didn't want to be tired for the start of our shopping. This hotel was less then 3 hours away from home. We got to Mauston and had supper. Restaurant on site but plenty of others within the hotel area. Gas station on site with others across the street. Was able to relax on Thursday night watching football. Hallways were very quiet. Easy on/off exit for trip. Easy access to take a different route home when leaving. Price was EXTREMELY reasonable for 1 night stay. Looking to book for 2 nights next year.
This is a very well kept motel. Staff are friendly and rooms very clean. If I had a complaint it would be the indoor pool looked like the inside water area could use a scrubbing. The lounge connected to the motel was clean and smoke free but provided a smoking lounge.
To summarize: Our stay at the Best Western Park Oasis Inn in Mauston, WI was exceptional! A little bio on us, we are well traveled (USA, Europe and the Caribbean) we prefer to stay at boutique hotels, and away from the crowds. We do extensive research before making our decisions. Based on our criteria; travel dates, hotel and room type, location, and budget we decided to stay here. We (four adults) arrived a little earlier than the 3:00PM check-in. Julie greeted us at the front desk and checked us in promptly. She did not even mention the time nor did she expect us to acknowledge she was extending a courteous early check-in. Our rooms were as described on their website, hotels.com and tripadvisor.com. Our room had a king size bed, with a huge pillow selection, and the bed was very comfortable. The other amenities as described and a leather recliner which was an added bonus, super comfortable and greatly appreciated. The room was updated and CLEAN - Thank you housekeeping!!!. The hotel had an indoor pool and Jacuzzi which we enjoyed as our own as no other guests were using them. The restaurant on the premises was convenient with good food (the ham is excellent and huge, all four of us split one) and good friendly service; Dave was great - thanks. Our check-out was prompt, Julie assisted us again, with a smile, professional, efficient, and friendly. Thanks for a great experience! If we travel in the area again, we will definitely stay here and will highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends. Thanks again!
