Best Western Colfax

A newer hotel plenty of parking staff was nice but really slow in checking in. The rooms are spacious and clean plenty of hot water the shower but no body soap that was empty. Breakfast was so so food was hot the eggs were runny everything else was fine.

I checked out this morning. When I checked in yesterday. They gave me room number 209. The room wasn't cleaned. Trash can was dirty, toilet wasn't flush. Only bed was made. The front desk clerk gave me another room 301. The counters in the bathroom wasn't clean like the other one , trash was in the bathroom too but the bed was okay. . So I stayed. The water dispenser was broken in the gym.

This hotel is way too new to be this filthy and dirty and run down. It's obvious that there is no attention to detail. Our first room we tried to check into was used by someone else the second room that we checked into had so much mold in the shower and sink and floors were filthy with hair. It appeared that someone had just wiped things down they're not clean. The best part was the beds were comfortable. And the toilet felt like it was going to come off the ground. This is such a nice location it's just unfortunate that the owner does not inspect the grounds or inspect the rooms after they've been cleaned

My husband reached up for what he thought was an extra blanket on top of the armoire and instead grabbed semen covered towels! There was also a semen covered pair of socks up there! Disgusting! No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the shower dispensers and two towels for a room reserved for 4 people. Managements response was “I'm so sorry” Definitely not a clean hotel, and crap service.

The Colfax Bst Western is fresh, modern and clean. The rooms are very comfortable. I like the height of the beds. The automatic light in the bathroom is a nice touch.

I booked the hotel for two nights in advance through Trip Advisor, and emergency dictated the cancellation of my trip but I couldn't cancel nor receive a refund through Trip Advisor or Best Western so I never checked in but had to pay the almost $300 for the rooms. Beware using Trip Advisor for this reason.

Ear wig in the room, bathroom shampoo etc dispenser was empty. Front door doesn't close all the way. When you check in nobody has BW attire or badge so you have no idea who works there, Their sundry selection is awful and they removed beverages from vending machine and it's cash only. They had the giant laundry bins in the hallways and all their maintenance/storage doors are left open, it's a mess. There is nothing in the room that tells you about the breakfast and or local attractions etc. The beds are hard as a rock, I had to lay on the pillows. Parking lot is a mess and had trash all over. Very sloppy run and will definitely not stay there again. they had holes in the wall above the tv where you could see they had originally hung it but changed their mind and moved it lower but never repaired the holes.

Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The facility is in excellent condition. Common areas were clean and in top condition. My room was spacious, clean and well organized. Technology was current and in good working order. The shower was excellent, although the body wash and conditioner needed refilling. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It is not a budget hotel, but the price is fair for this level. I have stayed here before and will again. I recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at the Best Western in Colfax and had an exceptional experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, with spacious rooms and luxurious walk-in showers. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The standout feature was the outstanding customer service; the staff was friendly and professional. Overall, great value for money. Highly recommended!

This place is great. The room decor was fresh and new. The bed was very comfortable. The two pools were clean and nice. They are re doing this place and so far they are doing a great job. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in Colfax. The staff were friendly.

This hotel has a lot of potential, parking lot has trash not picked up. The person taking my reservation over the phone, when I asked about using my BW Reward Points, he did not know how and told me when we checked it, someone would help me with that. The coffee and espresso machines were broken and the customers were coming up with ways to get coffee on their own. When walking by the front desk, there was a woman behind the counter who looked up and me, then instantly looked down, never saying Hello or How are you today - THERE IS NO HOSPITALITY

The room and bedding were outstanding. Very comfortable, all new building. Breakfast and internet were great. Very strange that the exterior landscaping isn't completed after 2 years. You can definitely hear the freeway traffic from the rooms.

Really great experience and fabulous breakfast! Great to see the beautiful trees and fresh air. Plenty of eateries close by!

The hotel offers spacious rooms with a desk and loveseat. Room looked to be recently remodeled with lots of counter space in the room and bathroom. Easy to spread out and relax. We didn't use it but the large pool looked very inviting.

The location was great as it was directly off the main highway. However it was noisy. There were many trucks going up and down the mountain all night. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very bright. However the bath towels were thin and one had holes in it.

Colfax Best Western is a clean and comfortable stay with gym, pool, and full breakfast with many options to choose from… eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, muffins and more.

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, but thin walls This hotel is conveniently located just off the freeway. The rooms were a good size, clean, and well-maintained. While the bathroom didn't have a tub, the continental breakfast was a positive surprise. It included eggs, potatoes, and sausage, which is more than you typically find with a continental spread. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the free parking was a plus. One downside is that the walls were a bit thin. I could occasionally hear doors closing in the hallway. Otherwise, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel was built to take advantage of travelers on I80 becoming stranded due to weather / snow related road closures.The management is apathetic and negligent in their upkeep of the property. In my room the smoke detector was missing, door lock broken, wall paper peeling, paint peeling, walls dirty, toilet leaking and not fastened to flange, lamp shade broken and missing bulbs, television didn't work - no cable access, thermostat broken, exteriors doors to hotel not secured, exterior of building dirty, no coffee available in dining room, and this hotel just raised their prices. I will never stay at this location again. Auburn, CA is just 15 minutes West and has much better hotel options.

Spent Christmas night here. Very modern, clean. In room coffee, frig and microwave. Nice toiletries. Bed sooo comfy I slept through their complimentary breakfast. Very nice innkeepers. I had a room in the back so didn't hear any freeway traffic; probably wasn't much that night anyway. There's a market , McDonald's and Taco Bell within walking distance. I'd stay again

Love Ivy at the front desk, but the place needs some TLC and minor repairs done and clean up outside near the dog area. The door on the ground d floor that leads outside needs to lock to make it secure 24/7 and it's never been

First time at the property very impressed with the service and amenities. The room was very clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable had good sleep after as long drive the breakfast in the morning was very good.

Very comfortable stay at Best Western. This is fairly new property just on Freeway I 80. Very convenient to the travellers to Reno or Lake Tahoe. The rooms were very comfrtable and clean. The breakfast in the morning is Plus.

Very well kept, new building. Cleanest hotel property in town and the last good option for larger chain hotels before heading east over Donner Pass. Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice beds, and well featured rooms.

New hotel just off the freeway. Easy on and off. Good location. The rooms were clean and fresh. The breakfast had lot of choices between protein and carbs. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Very nice Best Western.

I love Best Westerns! But, I won't stay here again. It is a new hotel which is nice. However, you can hear everything everyone in each room around you is doing. There was no way to get a good nights sleep.

Good new hotel. Easy to Highway. Good breakfast with a friendly breakfast employee. Stay on the non highway side if possible. We stayed on the back (non-interstate) side and room was quiet. Not sure the same could be said of the front side due to proximity of interstate. Would stay again.

The building and the room look brand new. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The equipment at the pool area looked a little worn. Also, smoking at the pool area shouldn't be allowed, in my opinion.

Wow, let me tell you, my time here was absolutely incredible! Can you believe it? This wasn't even supposed to be a vacation for me. I mean, talk about unexpected adventures, right? So, picture this: my car decides to break down out of nowhere, and there I am, stranded. But let me tell you, the folks here went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. I mean, seriously, they couldn't have been more friendly and supportive. It's like they have a sixth sense for knowing exactly what you need. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for their assistance. Truly, they turned what could have been a stressful situation into an unforgettable experience. Hats off to them!

Enjoyed the stay, it felt clean, and I had a nice view of the Mountain side trees, i felt safe during my stay and the staff was very friendly. I grabbed a to go bfast a that was actually ready at 4:00am! Ask about their to go bfast.. it's small but helped!

The place is fine but the staff are young and inexperienced. There were a couple of issues, the most glaring being that the housekeeper working on our floor all morning was wearing a shirt so offensive (racial slurs and sexual explicitness) that I won't even repeat it. This did not feel like a place I would feel comfortable staying with my family in the future.

I came across this hotel during the Memorial day weekend and while all other hotels in the are were booked or way overpriced, this hotel was perfect. The price was right and the hotel was clean. Great find!

The stay was great. Rooms are clean. Service was impeccable. The staff is friendly, polite and very helpful. The breakfast there was really good in the morning The time they started it was pretty reasonable

CLEAN NEW FACILITY, DECENT BREAKFAST, CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOM. EASY I-80 ACCESS DINING NEARBY, NO CARPETING AND THE NOISE ECHOS THROUGH THE HALLS, LOUD DOORS SHUTTING AND CONVERSATIONS ON THE 1ST FLOOR NEAR DESK MADE FOR A BIT ANNOYING. SOME FREEWAY NOISE.

The front desk person was very helpful the room was fresh and clean breakfast has lot of choices specially oatmeal with fresh fruit toppings The coffee was not that good but all other items were very good. I would definitely recommend this property and I will stay again

Damaged drywall in bathroom, a master light switch they don't tell you about until chech out, the breakfast staff was never welcoming, elevator button was literally falling out of the panel, wiring exposed in exterior door latches, laundry room looked like a bomb went off in it and they left the door wide open so you could see it and almost $200 a night.

Raji charged for service dog. Got my money back or ADA attorney would straighten this guy out. The grounds are full of trash and butts. Great location. Only hope owner takes sensitivity training to understand local laws.

This is not your only accommodation in Colfax, CA, but it is the best. The hotel is new and modern, clean and well appointed. The rooms are large, the beds so comfy, and even the bathrooms are generous in proportion with large walk-in showers. A "kitchen area" is separate between the bathroom and the sleeping area; I like that! The staff are wonderfully friendly and professional; the breakfasts have so many choices one could not possibly complain. We look forward to a return trip.

Terribly noisy Hotel. No shampoo or conditioner and no Hot water for shower! Reported these issues to the front desk and not only did they not correct the issues, they didn't even makeup my room! Carpet was filthy for being only 8 months old!

I stayed here for one night. I arrived late and was treated very well by front desk manager, a mr. Maneesh .parking was plentiful and safe. Hotel is very new, and the room had the fresh newly built to it. Everything worked well, and mattress Was so good with lots of pillows. Would def recommend this hotel if traveling thru the area, and I will return there soon.

This is a nice place, little high in price but I guess it is a tourist spot, so I should have expected it. Shower water pressure is good, then not good. I guess they might have been doing laundry then (8 in the morning), so take your shower early.
