This was by far the worst best western I've stayed at. The room was dirty. Small black hairs on the comforters and shower. They do not wash the comforters, we even witnessed this the next morning when the maid was “cleaning” a room next to us. The TV wasn't hooked up. We had to plug in the direct tv. All the lamps were unplugged. There was a huge gap at the bottom of the door letting in cold air. There was a nail sticking up from the floor that I step on. The WiFi didn't work. Just over all horrible stay. Super gross.
In downtown Blairsville, centrally located to many activities. the people were nice. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. We spent 3 nights. We didn't expect fresh towels and clean bed sheets everyday but at least they could have made the bed, not just through the blanket to cover the mess. I may come back again because I have family in the area and there is not much to choose from.
Only hotel nearby with microwave and fridge so i stayed as i work construction. Tv turns off every couple hrs on timer to say on the electric bill i guess ( very annoying) . They will crank your air to freezing but shutdown your tv , make this make sense . Towels are dingy , ice machine is a mile away from the not so nice rooms in building 2 . Toilets flush slowly ( need to flush 2-3 times )the carpet smells and there's gnats ( not their fault) . Pool is closed and ice machine is broken. They have no intention of fixing either . Other than this it's ok
Best Western Milton Inn in Blairsville Ga has great service and very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast everyday is free and hot. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Has a pool for you to enjoy. Restaurant witin walking distance. Would recommend.
This is the 2nd consecutive July 4th stay, the pool was closed last year and again this year, only hotel in town with outdoor pool, they should take it off their list of amenities. The room was clean and had a nice balcony with view of the closed pool.
This Best Western is very rundown and there seems to be no interest in making it better. It wasn't really dirty but not clean either. The towels and wash clothes were dingy, the hair dryer was shot, bathroom door would not stay shut. Ice machine location is inconvenient to the rooms. The pool still wasn't open the week of June 23-28. The office with breakfast was locked until 6:30 and you could not even get coffee.
Clean, quiet but broken ice and vending machines. Pool was closed the entire 8-day stay. No grab bar in the shower.
Dirty towel from previous guest left in bathroom. Room smelled musty and Smokey. Air conditioning was barely blowing cold air.
Let's just say I wish I had tried staying at the comfort inn. The amenities at this hotel are almost non existent. The shower was a warm trickle. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. We got one bar of bath soap and one set of shampoo and conditioner. It felt skeezy. $132 a night for a room worth $60 tops. Absolutely a rip off.
If you can stay anywhere else, I would. The employees were very helpful and friendly, but the hotel needs to train the employees and updating. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you and above. The breakfast area was not clean and needed restocking at 7 AM this I believe is lack of training for the very nice employees. Most of the chairs were on the tables and tables were sticky with food.
Our rooms were clean and the beds were plush and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and fully stocked with fresh linens each day. Internet was easy to access and worked perfectly every time we used it.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is on Sunday morning was pitiful. The eggs were dry and stuck to the pan, no bacon or sausage - instead there were chicken patties that were also dry and tasteless. No juice other than orange was available. Please…if you can't do a decent job of breakfast just don't do it at all.
Missing hair care, soap and hair dryer amenities... but got two tv remotes! Told perky GM and got all but the hair dryer. Breakfast eggs and sausage was cold. Heat turned off. Juice machine broken. Drawers had to be opened for cutlery
This BW has very nice and comfortable rooms. The front desk staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property. We were there for the Blue Ridge Train Excursion which is about 20 miles from there.
No prices up front , no discounts offered , it's cheaper to stay somewhere else ,, NO coffee in the morning with breakfast, that's enough reason to stay somewhere else alone . The guy that took my reservations had to ask someone if he did it right she could have at least overseen if he gave them the travel discounts that I were due .
Everything was clean and good working order. Hot water in the shower had everything we needed. Clean rooms, close to three eating establishments, Zaxby, BBQ and a bar/grill. Well lit parking lot. Safe and secure. No problems with room.
We booked this hotel to be close to a summer retreat camp where we needed to pick our son up the next morning and take him to a weekend soccer tournament. I'm usually a little skeptical of Best Western's because you just don't know what you're going to get. I've typically been a bit disappointed with this brand but I did stay at a nice one in Sandiego, CA a few years ago. When I was booking the Blairsville BW, I read some reviews and convinced myself that it was probably a good one because of the nearly $200 price. We arrived late and had quite a pleasant check in with the front desk. Unfortunately, when we arrived to our room, we realized that it was quite run down and dirty. The room smelled and the bedspread had numerous stains in it. You could tell it had been cleaned but it had stains that wouldn't come out and they just didn't want to replace it. If we hadn't arrived at 11:00 pm after a 9.5 hour drive, we probably would have left. We were just too tired and sucked it up. I cannot recommend staying here unless you get a really good price and you don't mind low end hotels. I'll admit I try to keep it to Marriott and Hilton most of the time because I travel for a living so that's the level I typically stick to. They may even have nicer rooms here because I saw some better reviews but we definitely did not get one. The breakfast was nice though and the morning desk clerk was very pleasant. I won't stay here again.
DO NOT STAY HERE! The photos in this listing are NOT what you will see in person. Disgusting filthy, yes filthy rooms, torn linens, torn carpet, not vacuumed, smell terrible. Didn't have basic needs in room. Front desk was not cooperative. We were in the outside rooms. Offered a second room, and it was WORSE than the first one. The corner of the sheet on the "freshly made" bed was torn about 3 feet. Totally disgusting. Never was offered to be moved to one of the newer rooms. It was the worst hotel we have ever been in, and we travel alot. We know the man who was in our room the day before and was scheduled to stay for 5 days on business. He was disgusted and left the hotel to sleep in someone's basement rather than that disgusting place. Front desk staff were virtually useless. Always excuses and did nothing to accommodate us. Best Western corporate should be ashamed.
Price for room awesome. Newly renovated everything, inside rooms, outside building, parking, pool (although not open - waiting on inspection), great bed. Walk to fast food and to a few restaurants. Best stay in awhile.
This was a good stay for the price. The king balcony room I had faced the flow of traffic. It was a bit noisy at times but not unbearable. The room was clean. The breakfast was good for the most part.
Came into Town early to enjoy the town's festivities. First off our room as upgraded to a balcony room!! , very nice and sparkling clean! Parking lot was clean and we'll lighted. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend staying here while visiting Blairsville.
From the rocking chairs at the facility entrance, to the cute little porch of my room, the was a quaint hotel. The convenience factor to all the local attractions and restaurants was a big plus. Good variety at the complimentary breakfast. And the staff was incredibly nice
You could smell the weed so strong coming from a couple of rooms as I passed to go to the drink machines. (Which we're out). Manager needs to do the job and walk the property so to make motel rules are followed and guest don't feel like drug dealers work out of there. Not a place I would recommend..
Another great stay. Staff is always very kind and helpful. Room was very clean. During our stay they were replacing carpet in a lot of the rooms so "remodeling" is underway. Will stay again whenever we are in the area.
Smelled like smoke. Bedding was rough and bed uncomfortable. Toilet was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Overall cleanliness of the room was not good. Could not get the room to a decent sleeping temperature. Would not recommend.
This property was very close to the square restaurants and shopping. My husband and I had a first floor room facing the road. There was some road noise but the off ground fenced patio made up for any inconvenience.
Upon arriving and entering the "Lobby" I waited for an associate to check me in. She seemed overwhelmed and somewhat stern. Generally, doesn't matter to me how these interactions go but it's worth noting. After checking in to the room, I noticed a putrid smell. It was so bad I went to the local Walgreens to purchase Febreeze. I bombed the room and left for a short while. After returning and realizing I was unable to get over the smell and decided to leave.
Upon entering the room, there was a large stain on the top bed cover. Very obvious, no excuse. I asked twice before a replacement was provided. Aside from that, the hotel is older but is getting upgrades and that's always a good thing. The a/c was very cold, as was the fridge, the wifi a little spotty, but overall the room was comfortable and quiet, and in a good location. We would return if we felt that bed linens took a higher priority.
I thought the room was very clean but it is dreadfully run down. It smelled like one would imagine an old hotel room with worn out carpet, a stained/mildewed bathroom, would smell like. My wife was really turned off by the conditions but I kept telling her that I felt like it was clean nonetheless. On the other hand, it is a very convenient location with pretty views of downtown and the mountains in the distance. They really need to update some things because we probably wouldn't stay there again.
Staff is always friendly and courteous to me. Hotel was clean and well maintained from everything I saw. Thanks again! Will be back very soon. I'm daft have already booked another stay in the upcoming weeks. See you soon!
Filthy in very poor condition. Other offered rooms were as bad and worse. Torn dirty carpet, dirty floors, tub and toilet, torn curtain. Other offered room had torn sheets, moldy microwave, items in refrigerator plus clothing in drawers and very dirty carpet with big food crumbs and chunks. Obvipusly not vacuumed for some time. Dusty plus outside of microwave dirty and hair in bathtub.
This hotel is not befitting of the Best Western name. The hotel interior is tired in all ways. The curtains are old and holed through from the sun, the beds and furniture are old, rooms are dark and dreary feeling, and the carpet is worn and frayed quite a bit. Everything felt unclean
Nice stay at the BW in Blairsville. Our room was clean, even smelled fresh and not stuffy like a hotel room can. The staff were very friendful and helpful. Only surprise was that the pictures make it look like this hotel is in a secluded area in the mountains. It is actually in town facing the main road. We paid the few extra dollars for a balcony room but you're not really facing any scenery that warranted the balcony. The front balconies face the road and the back balconies face the pool and other businesses. Again, very happy with our room and would stay here again.
Requested accessible room but they were out. Rooms in older part of hotel were bigger than I expected. Nice porch too. Little loud with foot steps but expected. Would definitely stay here again. Wish they had better hand rails in bathroom in regular rooms.
Stayed in a king suite. Rusted walk-in shower walk in shower ceiling was peeling. Nightstands were completely dirty, always smelled of mold, homeless people walking the parking lot no lights on in the parking lot. Another resident told me that somebody was mugged outside. Not a nice place. Breakfast was horrible. Stay far away. They also like to overcharge your credit card for no reason at all and if you leave a cash deposit they will not give it back to you no matter what
Friendly and fast service, cute exterior, excellent warm continental breakfast, speedy checkout. A little outdated in the room, but overall comfortable. Walking distance to cute downtown destinations.
My wife and I stayed here several years back after the facility had just undergone build/renovation. Now it is somewhat weathered and aged, but was still very clean and afforded a good night's sleep. Ms. Donna checked me in upon my late arrival and gave me a room upgrade. The complimentary breakfast was quite adequate.
Our stay at this Best Western was okay. The rooms are older and the bathrooms are small. We were first put in room 302 but the room had an overwhelming musty odor. We felt the room must have had a water leak and dried leaving a bad smell. We asked to be moved and were moved to room 306. This room did not have that smell so I don't think it was because the hotel is older. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom was small and the room didn't look like the picture of the room when we booked online. The picture of the room online showed a view of the sink from the bedroom but the room we actually got you could not see the sink from the bedroom at all which showed us that we were in a smaller room than was pictured. The website stated a full breakfast but it was actually an expanded continental. No one ever came into the breakfast room to clean tables as people left or check on anything. We stayed 3 nights and 2 of the mornings that we came in for breakfast the coffee was cold and we had to ask for the coffee to be replenished. Overall our stay was just okay.
The room was clean...nice beds and quiet night.. Nice hotel and convenience location. Donna the lady at the guest reception is very polite and attend the guest with professionalism. Breakfast with good coffee and around you can get the newspaper and some interested magazine s
Very disappointed. First, the room had a bad odor similar to a smell you encounter in a Thrift Store. My husband killed a roach in the bathroom. It was late when we arrived so we didn't ask for a different room. The next morning, I saw mold in the shower. The bathroom ceiling tiles were stained. The shower curtain needed to be bleached or replaced. Hair from a previous customer was on the shower curtain. The lamp shade fell all the lamp on the nightstand. It appeared to be broken. I propped it back on the lamp. The front desk staff were not professional and did not seem concerned when I mentioned the room was dirty. She didn't ask how was your stay. She only asked if I needed a receipt. This was my worst hotel stay in a very long time. There are not many options in Blairsville. Rent a cabin or drive to another town. You can hear cars from the nearby roadway. I can handle simple and plain. I cannot handle filth. Overall, it was a very unsettling experience.
There will not be another visit after this experience. We were placed in a room with a broken door knob, burns in the comfortable, very strong smoke odor, and a broken TV. We we called to report these problems we were told I dont know what to tell you about the tv, she knew about the broken doorknob, and we were told there is no way to catch every smoker. After demanding to love to another room we were moved but the room had mold in the bathroom and in the refrigerator and had a hole in the bottom of the door. Overall terrible experience and VERY poor customer service especially for $140 it cost me to stay for ONE night.
The room smelled like smoke, clogged sink, rotten smell in frig, lighting dull, no extra TP or blankets, ice machine in a different building, no elevators, staff not friendly, taxed double for each day.
I didn't have high hopes, given few choices for rooms in the area, but was hoping for clean & functional. Staff was extremely polite and helpful, but HVAC did not work. The fan in the unit sounded like it was trying to beat it's way out of the wall, so we could not even recirculate the air. They were booked solid, so no chance of changing rooms. I didn't expect them to repair over the weekend, but an offer to reduce the room or credit for the inconvenience would have been nice. Overpriced based on condition of the room and cleanliness. Pubes in hinge of toilet seat. Tile and bath area looked dingy. Bed seemed worn and sagging in the middle. Packaged breakfast items and coffee were sufficient for breakfast.
Only needed the hotel for the night before starting a 40 mile hike. Room was very clean, beds were about as comfortable as expected. Check in was quick and easy. Lady at the front desk was nice and recommended a few places to go to for dinner.
A little dated hotel but the bed was extremely comfortable. Was very quiet considering it is located right off the main highway. Staff was very nice and helpful. Located in a convenient location to restaurants, gas stations, and other establishments.
The woman checking us in was friendly and the overall appearance was fine but it was not clean. Our bed had dirt on it and the sheets smelled used, the air conditioning unit was layered in black dust and dirt, the bathroom floor was not clean. There was a booger on the wall in the bathroom as well as pubic hairs on the shower walls. The sink and shower drain got backed up any time they were used and took a long time to drain. I would not recommend this place
We only spent 1 night here because I didn't realize that the nearby town of Blue Ridge was so boutique (i.e. expensive) & there are limited choices in the mountain areas nearby. We were there just to see the Expedition Bigfoot museum in Cherrylog, a few miles from Blue Ridge & it was after dark before we found this hotel had a room available, so we backtracked 20+ miles to it. The bed was very comfy & the room was clean enough, except for the requisite long black hair that always seems to cling to towels in every hotel, lol. The hot water was in good supply & the water pressure was fine. The front desk staff was nice & friendly, too. They had brown bags of breakfast items prepared the next morning for guests to take with them, along with coffee & newspaper, plus tourism brochures. The downside - if you get a room facing the main street, there is a LOT of noise coming thru as you sleep. Sirens, cars speeding by, etc. Fortunately, we always bring a travel fan, sleep with earplugs & white noise, too. Ask for a room on the back side & you'll be fine. It's 2 stories with no elevator tho.
Front desk did not wear masks and couldn't find our reservation, and then answered the phone twice while checking me in, making me wait instead of them. Breakfast was granola bar, fruit cup, yogurt and muffin with water. No closet or hangers. Fridge was so loud we unplugged it. Generally clean, but quite dated, a tad musty smelling and bare bones.
The only bad things I can say are there was a drink/opened left in the fridge when we got in there and there was no ice in any of the ice machines. Otherwise great, clean room with fridge and micro, beds comfy, breakfast bags to go, right next to Zac ya which was convenient.
Nice place. Seems you need the balcony rooms for a better look. Side wing looks a little low key. Nice little bagged breakfast and a comfortable bed. They are keeping the place nice and clean with this covid thing. Remember Balcony.
This is an old tired hotel. Needs refresh. Paint peeling, plumbing fixtures old and discolored, bedding from the 70's, outside needs paint, stairs need some work, and the room had a musty smell. You get what you pay for.
We stayed at this Best Western while entourage to a cabin in Ga. The mixed reviews are now apparent as I'm sure the good ones were good and the bad ones warranted. For our stay we were greeted by a very pleasant and helpful office clerk who gave us the AAA rate without having to go outside and book online. She gave us a great location to have dinner and also provided us with a paper menu for the restaurant. The hotel is dated but has had some interior updates. Our room was clean, and according to my super sniffer wife, was free from offensive odors. The rug appeared to have been recently replaced as it was clean and bright colored. The bathroom was clean and the towels were very soft for hotel towels. The bed was comfortable and the cable tv stations plentiful. We didn't check out the breakfast area, as we had already picked a restaurant we had viewed on trip advisor. Overall this was a good choice for an overnight stop.
Small and quaint. The balcony was great. The pool was very clean and refreshing. (I just wish that in the summer months on weekends that they would leave the pool area open later so that people could enjoy sitting around it) The staff that we dealt with was great and very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. We will defintely stay here again
We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms/place are older but the beds were really comfy which is really important to us. The lobby was not open because of COVID so there wasn't a great breakfast. However, there were some great places really close so it wasn't a problem. Pool looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. The view from our “balcony” was lovely. Being on the street side didn't bother us at all. Location was super close to everything too. We stayed 2 days and our room wasn't cleaned but that could be because our daughter may have been sleeping while the housekeeping people came. Not sure. We didn't care about that but some people might. It was clean when we got there so, again, not a big deal to us. One staff member was super friendly and helpful, the other not as friendly but not rude. Would recommend
Very old facility. Poorly maintained. indifferent staff. Not up to Best Western minimal standards. Do not consider staying at this property. Needs paint, landscaping, replacement of rotted wood balconies
We absolutely loved our room. We traveled for a house purchase and couldn't find anything in the area with an open hotel due to covid19 and ended up in Blairsville, GA. We needed a handicapped accessible room and this was the only room availible. I was somewhat skeptical after reading mixed reviews but decided it was better than nothing. I was surprised at how great the accessibility room was. It was very spacious and we had no issues at all getting the wheelchair in and out. We enjoyed the private porch outside and the rooms were very clean. We loved the rustic cabin-like feel of the property and the staff was very friendly. We did not experience the amenities due to covid19 but enjoyed the thought of the bagged breakfasts. Would definitly love to stay here again once things open up for a family trip.
This is a hotel that needs much updating. The bathroom ceiling has mold on it. The shower curtain smelled musty. Hair dryer didn't work probably because the filter was plugged up. Carpet frayed and not very clean. Where the wood colored floor was it was very sticky to walk on. Curtains were dirty. Furniture needs to be updated. Would I stay again....No. Nor would I recommend. This is the first time I tried a Best Western. I was disappointed.
I spent the night in Blairsville on business and made a reservation through our corporate travel site. I had read reviews here at TripAdvisor on this hotel which were not bad, and decided to spend the night in Blairsville instead of one of the other surrounding towns – I had an early morning meeting and knew I was going to arrive late. I arrived around 9:30 p.m., tired, and got my key from the receptionist. I climbed outside steps, no elevator, to an outside-facing MOTEL room. The room was clean, but aged (60s). I turned the heater on, and the curtain above the heater flew up and stayed up, dancing, all night. Light could be seen under the door in the morning. I'm a backpacker and have slept in much worse places, but if my wife was with me, we would have had to find another place. I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep, so I didn't make the effort to find another room/hotel. The next morning I went down to the receptionist to check out, and noticed another building next to the office, a new build, a HOTEL, with inside doors. I asked the receptionist why I was not given a room over there, and she said those rooms cost $10 more. I told her, I would have gladly paid the extra $10 for a more comfortable room if it had been offered. Beware. Most of the reviews for this Best Western are for the newer build.
A refurbished motel located near downtown with several options for food with in walking distance. Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Although it was near a road there was minimal traffic noise. This area is teaming with recreational options.
Best Western's reliably excellent hotel with a friendly staff all within walking distance of everything that matters. Where is this? In Blairsville Georgia where you are surrounded by all the magnificence of the Smokey Mountains. Can you beat it? No, you can not!
Great room with balcony, clean and comfortable. Staff is the best! Donna & Krista at desk & Nicole housekeeping's Star always make you comfortable. I travel 100+ days a year, have stayed at this Best Western many times on business trip & enjoyed so much came with wife for few personal trips as well.
I have been coming back to the Milton Inn for many years. The location is Conveniently located in the center of Blairsville, Georgia.. the rooms are comfortable, and those who work the desk and lobby quite Congenial. You will be welcomed with the same personal and professional approach that I have been welcomed with over these years, should you decide to stay at the Milton Inn.
Check pricing online prior to walking into lobby. I am certain that prices are pulled out of thin air. I should have walked out when I felt that but have in the past had good luck with BW. The "new" section of the hotel looks to have been completed in the 80's then poorly maintained since then. Thin walls, had no trouble eavesdropping on conversation in next room. The balconies were nice though.
Beds are not comfortable . Blankets are thin n old . Was clean . But very outdated. For 150$ it could have been more than it was. People are nice. THEY Did bring me another blanket but it looked to be 50 years old .
Great place to stay if traveling through or staying in Blairsville, GA. The breakfast dining area is a little small for the number of guest staying at this hotel; but overall I recommend it highly. Convenient to restaurants in the area and events.
Clean rooms and very accommodating. When I called, I requested a first floor room and a balcony if one came available, and sure enough, I got a 1st floor with a balcony. Very quiet place - even with the Sorghum Festival underway in town.
I have stayed at this best western before & will return for another stay when in the area. Hotel is clean easy to get into from highway. several resturants around both Fast food as well as a couple very good Country style resturants for that home cooked meal.
I stayed at this hotel on a recent trip to Blairsville. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint I have is the water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but was acceptable. If I'm back in the area, I would stay there again.
Staff are all friendly. Clean hotel. Parking lot very well lite. Great view. Walking distance to shops and resturant s in town. If you need more towels housekeeping is happy to help. Rooms have enough working space.
Our room was clean and the staff was very helpful. There is a continental breakfast served in the lobby every morning which is convenient. This hotel is in an excellent downtown location. We would definitely stay here again.
Not bad for an older, smaller hotel. Updated decor and nice staff. The room did have an odor, and our beds were more like full size than queen. The room was quiet despite the number of guests in the hotel.
This is a lovely property that's been updated. The room was clean the bed was very comfortable and the staff was most helpful. Internet worked well TV had enough stations to keep us busy. Room was good size so we could bring in the balcony furniture to seat guests to watch the football game
Would only stay here again if all other places are full again, otherwise would choose somewhere else. Very old. Near loud main road. Staff not rude, but certainly not the most helpful or friendly. Only edible items at breakfast were the bananas & muffins.
Stayed here to attend a local art market. The location was perfect for this, we were right at downtown-quick walk. We could see downtown from the back entrance of the parking lot. The restaurant next door, Monet's, was a tasty dinner on Saturday night too. Breakfast was more than we expected and everything was fresh. Staff were super friendly. If we go back to this area, we would stay here again. Room was clean. The housekeeping staff were friendly too.
This little town only has 2 motels so this one is the most convenient, cleanest and offers breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful and we always stay inside the building where there is only one entrance where it is quieter and less traffic.
This hotel was so bad that we got our money back and left. It smelled really bad and was very dirty. It was also very old and unkept. The only positive thing was the young girl working the front desk.
After many family trips to Blairsville, this was my first time staying at Best Western Milton Inn. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of my room and the amenities included. The service of the staff was exceptional and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. This will be my first choice from now on when in Blairsville, GA!
Krista. The woman at the front desk went above and beyond! Exceptional Performance, outstanding personality... GREAT front desk experience. Rooms are very clean, pool is crystal clear... Great view..lots of places to eat.
We have stayed at this BW 4 times in the last 2-3 years while traveling on a motorcyle through N GA and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff always seems friendly and helpful so no doubt I would recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. There are 3--4 great restaurants within a short distance. They offer the standard hot breakfast and the dining area is spotless.
There was a used cup on the counter, a used bar of soap in the shower, and a huge hairball stuck to the shower wall. The internet was so slow it was unusable. It was a 2 star hotel at a 4.5 star price. Please skip!
I've stayed at this hotel several times when visiting my daughter at college. This past stay the the housekeeping didn't have rooms ready at check-in due to priorities being on smoke breaks and hanging out with friends. The high-speed internet was non-existent. The breakfast should have been non-existent compared to what was served.
Check in was fast and easy. The Booking.com listing showed a spa bath as one of the amenities which was the main reason we booked the room. When we got to the room however, it was just a regular bathroom, and when I mentioned it to the front desk staff I was treated like I was ridiculous to even suggest such a thing. I was told "they don't have anything like that" and to take it up with the site I booked the hotel through. They were veeyvery unapolog about it and didn't offer any kind of amends. Our room also had no towels, and we had to call down for them to be brought up. My only other complaints were very low water pressure (although the hot water was very good) and bad wifi signal which could be attributed to them being fully booked that weekend. Otherwise, service was enjoyable, there was minimal noise, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was in a very good location for food, shopping, and general tourism.
The facility was nice along with the breakfast and staff. The beds were the problem. They both sagged in the middle. The must rent the same rooms. They should either change the beds or flip them. The location was for perfectly centered for the surrounding towns.
A large number of our company stayed here for a week to attend a training seminar. I noticed that their reduced rates were not reduced at all. The rate for right off the street was several dollars less a night than what we were being charged. When I questioned this the manager told me that “unfortunately the rates had been reduced “. I questioned this and she repeated herself. She was very curt and rude saying in essence “too bad “. I said something about one of our people paying 12 dollars less than I and she said there are all kinds of rates out there and mine was what it was. Okay...... If you can find other accommodations I would suggest doing so. The place is very plain and old with nothing spectacular about it. Relatively clean with a poor excuse for what they call “a full breakfast”. Especially for it to cost over a hundred dollars a night. There are way too many places out there with people who care about their guests to stay at a place like this. Never again.
I stayed at the motel three different times so far. The motel is very clean outside and inside. The beds are comfortable the rest of the furniture is up to date and nice. Office staff are friendly and helpful.
This hotel is nice, and very close to Blue Ridge Ga and Vogel state park. There is a beautiful park just about a block away as well! The room was nice, but A bit musty. We got a smoke-free room, but probrably do to the age of the hotel it still has a bit of remnant smell of when that was not an option in the past. The beds were very comfy, and we greatly appreciated the refeigerator, microwave, and coffee pot on the room. It was nice for a one night stay.
Beautiful fall location. Hotel right in town, easy walking distance to restaurants and local shops "on the square". Hotel was clean, and quiet during our stay. Will definitely stay at the BW Milton Inn again.
Stayed in room 114 on 10/25 and 26. They accommodated my need for trailer parking. That's the only positive thing I can say. The room had not been cleaned. The sheets were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. I asked for clean sheets and changed them myself. Looks like most rooms were booked so I guess the owner or housekeeping people don't have to care to stay in business.
Reasonable prices. Clean. Cleaning staff nice and courteous. Good location. Breakfast was good. Only issue I really had was the outlet by the vanity didn't hold plugs. I was with a Jeep Club riding mountain trails and we even were able to hang out in the parking lot and talk in the evenings. Overall, great place!
Bed bugs found in bed. Not a good experience after sleeping in bed and waking to see bugs in bed. Have stayed in the past several times. But I will never stay there again after this incident. Anyone staying there please check the beds.
Road tripThe bed was very hard & then ext day back was very sore. The staff was friendly but to me should have been professional dressed. It was a convenient stop, was able to walk around the city that was behind motel
It's a great place to stay with a good breakfast. Located in a really good spot within walking distance of the town center that is filled with ma and pa shoppes and restaurants. Always something going on in this area too. All of the staff was really helpful.
Thissmall motel is located near dowtown Blairsville in the North Georgia Mountains. It is near several local independent small restaurants as well as walking distance to fast food. The motel has both indoor and outdoor accessible rooms. There is a lot of transient traffic and noise that comes with the outdoor accessible. Your best bet is to request an indoor room to cut down on loitering by non patrons and alcohol/noise problems. Rooms are clean but musty smelling, toilet worked temperementally.
Stayed for a night during a family wedding. They gave us an upgrade to a balcony room facing away from the road. Beds and sheets were clean but just OK. Room was clean, sized OK. Bathroom needed upgrading but everything worked. Sink area outside of tub/potty area with very small counter space around it. AC was super. This is a small place with average everything. Staff was helpful if you asked something. Breakfast had waffle machine, pre-made egg patties, and breads for toasting. Coffee and hot teas were available at all times. Since it is summer it was nice to have the outdoor pool to swim and enjoy. Pool was very cleanly kept, perfect temperature, with some lounge chairs and 1 umbrella table. You can get a good nights rest here in a clean bed.
Within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, etc. We ate at a few of the local restaurants and the food and service was really good! Friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Clean facility and rooms.
No place like the Milton Inn, clean comfy rooms, nice pool, quick easy breakfast, convenant location. Its in beautiful North Georgia. In the center of Blairsville & only minutes from Blue Ridge. Give it a try, call Donna at the front desk!
Workers making noises at any time of the day and night, cigarette odor rooms, wifi doesn't work, plugs doesn't work, people friendly but the building it self looks like and smells like any cheap motel
Stayed here as w hiked around the local state parks. Everything from the check-in to us leaving worked out. The rooms were clean an the beds slept great.Great selection of cable channels and we even had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. Would stay here again.
The room was clean and fairly well appointed with a fridge, microwave, mini coffee maker and a blow dryer. A free breakfast was included with all the standard fare: coffee, cereal, danish, eggs/sausage. Our room faced the main road so there was a fair bit of traffic noise during the day. The room had a small balcony with chairs so we could sit outside with our morning coffee. The hotel location is very convenient to local shops and restaurants although there are few, if no, sidewalks to get to them if you were hoping to walk.
Such nice service at Best Western!! Arrived a little early and my king room wait awaiting, clean and ready for occupancy. Stayed at Best Western in Blairsville due to medical care in Hiawassee and it worked well, so we will use this stop again. The bed was comfy and the room nice and quiet for rest. Thank you Best Western.
Nice motel but nothing to brag about. No elevator for 2nd floor. Room was clean, bed was ok, shower was so-so. TV was the pits, audio was horrible. Lighting needs to be upgraded, it's hard to read. Pillows were good.
Blairsville is a great little town where every one knows everyone. Our room was clean and nice. A great best western to stay. Best part I was doing some family research and the beautiful lady at the front desk.knew some of my family members. She was kind enough to go on line and find my family in the history books. Talk about personal service. With her help to start out I've gone back 5 generations. Great town lots to do and the people are wonderful everywhere we went. I'm so greatful to the folks at the Best Western
Very nice place that we stayed while visiting this hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Morning guest services representative Christina was really nice in accommodating our needs. She helped us locate where to find things. The room was very clean and private. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind when we return to the area.
Pretty good, not excellent. Non-smoking room smelled more like a smoking room. Bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired. Staff was professional and treated me well though. This appears to be an older property with a mix of older and newer rooms. I have stayed here multiple times.
Our stay at this hotel was last minute due to a death in the family. We had already planned to be in the area, but had to arrive earlier than planned, so we stayed here. The staff could not have been better. They were all very nice and accommodating. They even let us check out late after church, so we would have a place to change. There is a full hot breakfast served in the morning that we missed out on because we got up too late to eat and get dressed for church. There are several good places to eat within walking distance and a lot to do in the area. Blairsville is a nice little town and everyone treats each other like one big family. I only wish we were here under different circumstances. The only thing I would ask of the staff, would be to use some bleach to clean the shower better.
Contrary to a number of negative reviews we had read when when researching Blairsville lodging we found the hotel a very nice place to stay for a weekend. Location is great - right on the edge of town within walking distance of several good restaurants. The facility appeared to have had a recent renovation as everything looked new and fresh - paint, carpet, and furniture. We were very pleased with the appearance of our room and the facility in general. Breakfast had the usual stuff well presented, but also included hot/warm eggs and sausage. Was very adequate for a motel. On the other hand the breakfast room is woefully short of space and tables for the number of rooms/guests especially when the motel is sold out. Trays are provided to take food back to the room, but this is impractical based on the location of many of the rooms. Still I would stay again and have already recommended it to friends going to the Georgia mountains.
The room stank of cigarette smoke when we were under the impression that all rooms were non-smoking. Te website says they are pet friendly but when you get there there are signed on the front door saying 'No Pets Allowed'. Stayed there anyway. Too late to find a new motel.
A nice central location for the areas attractions. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is a plus, and the room service is very good. The night noise outside the rooms can, at times, be a little loud.
great place to stay staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was pretty good and plentiful. would definitely stay again the next time I'm in Blairsville. the facility is a little older but in good condition
For a one night stay, this place would work, but for three nights, I think next time we will go with something nicer. Reception and check in went really well but the room itself was not the nicest. It had a lingering smell of cigarettes and it was musty, even though we booked a non-smoking room. The AC unit seemed to never shut off so we had that noise going during our stay. The bathroom overall was clean but you can tell that the place is old, as the tile grout was dark colored. Breakfast was served but the quality was meh. It was edible, but the next few days we just got breakfast somewhere else. Overall, it works as a place to crash.
BW reservations app worked great. Check-in was efficient and lady gave information of the area WIFI good but you need to sign in every day. TV has a remote that does not allow you to scan channels. Reception grainy. TV system needs upgrade Breakfast was what one expects from BW. Sometimes the front desk person also services the breakfast buffet, so some days restocking is sporadic and items are lacking like hot coffee, eggs and baked goods. Not fair to the employee nor the customer. There are only 4 tables but they have trays to take food to room Building appears to be well painted and the carpet in my room looked new No elevator to second floor. Exterior clean. The bathroom tiles and tub floor need to have a good scrubbing, regrouted and/or replaced. Shower curtain torn and mold around bath tub. Ceiling tiles are dirty/moldy and need to be replaced Housekeeping seems to be the hotels achilles heel. There needs to be retraining on how to make beds. Sometimes done well and other times just thrown together. Very inconsistent. One day had to wait until 4 pm for my room to be cleaned. One housekeeper had a cigarette constantly hanging from her mouth while handling bed linen and towels! Rating is barely a 3. Need to address bathrooms, housekeeping staff training and TV issues to get a better rating Rate during the week $68 is a good value but $89 for Fri and $98 for Sat is not a good value
Great stay in Blairsville! Room was so comfortable and nice. Staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was awesome! Price wasn't bad either. Blairsville is a nice place to visit. Would definitely stay again.
I was very satisfied with this hotel. This is the second time I stayed here this year and both times I was very satisfied. The rooms were very clean and everything was in good order although slightly outdated. The staff was awesome as well, very professional and friendly and helpful. I travel in that area on occasion for business and would definitely stay there again.
Very unclean. Room seemed nice at first until we opened bathroom door. Pubic hairs and obvious "signs" Of a heavily used toilet with dirty bath / shower. Reported issue at desk. They sent a worker to clean the room but they used old nasty sour mop water which was already nasty. Was too late to get another hotel so we endured the sour bleach smell and gave up our nightly shower. Once we turned back the bedding to get in bed we were once again disappointed by large amounts of hair of various sizes and seemed like used sheets. Will not be back to any best western anywhere we travel.
the location of this hotel makes travel in and around the northern and southern area of Georgia the best choice to stay. the rooms are large and have enough area in the room to for comfortable seating and table surface to accommodate a computer, files and work surface to assist in preparing files, etc.
Very clean and comfortable room. Incredibly quiet and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Motel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was the typical continental breakfast found a most motels, but very fresh and tasty to say the least. You cannot go wrong with a Best Western stay.
Room nice, clean and will be tended to if you remove the DND sign from the outside of your door early in the morning. Staff is helpful and informative of the area and local things to do. Close to hospital, Walmart and many restaurants.
The staff is over and beyond with accommodating and friendly to visit with during our stay. I look forward to being greeted by the staff on each visit every time we stay here and this is the only place I would stay. Love the breakfast and the beds are so comfy.
While coming off a few very cold nights of camping in the Georgia Traverse Trail this hotel was a welcome respite. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and accomodating, and the breakfast the next morning offered a good variety. Family friendly and quiet.
Great accommodations. Clean and comfortable rooms, good service and delicious breakfast. We were having Thanksgiving with relatives and found this to be the place we will use in the future. It was very convenient to the location of our reunion.
Easily accessible from and back to the main thoroughfare. Check in was quick, as well checkout. Breakfast buffet offered several hot and cold selections. Coffee was great! Room was quiet and comfortable. TV and internet service more than adequate. If you have more than two people in your party, ask for extra towels.
The staff was friendly and helpful with directions. The room and lobby were very clean with no issues. They had an excellent hot breakfast. Several restaurants were located in easy walking distance across the street. We would stay again!
This is far from a Best Western Plus. It is a pretty basic, but clean motel. I found the photos of the motel a little deceptive. The photos look like this motel is on a mountain side. It is actually on a major highway (Hwy. 515). The “mountain view room and balcony” that we paid extra for actually over-looked the highway. The mountains were in the background. Not quite what we expected. I would recommend that you get a room on the side or back if you are a light sleeper. However, we did not have A/C or heat on to conceal the highway noise. The room was large with a refrigerator and microwave, sofa, coffee table, desk and chair. I found the bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom vanity is rather small. The shower head was adjustable with good water pressure. The tub/shower had a non-slip bottom, however, no grab bar. A hot breakfast is available with pre-made omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and the usual continental breakfast fare. All-in-all, it is a very good value, particularly for the area.
This was a great place to stay, front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful, room had been updated looked new, VERY CLEAN, good hot breakfast every morning. There are a lot of activities and good restaurants in the area. Room price very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved our visit at this motel. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the linens. The staff was very friendly and willing to help at any time. The breakfast was wonderful. The locations was perfect and just so beautiful. We will come back and stay there again. Job well done by your company.
The best western in Blairsville Ga was a great place to stay the woman Krista at the front desk was real friendly an made sure everything was what it was suppose to be i would definitely stay there again.
This was a very hateful lady and you would think that for $146 per night and two senior citizens we would have a nice check in!! Room was nice but she spoiled it all! Also the noise from traffic is horrible!!!!
Traveled from Arizona to So. Illinois, picked up father in law and drive to Blairsville. Made reservations late, needed two room but could only get one!! Called a week later and Donna at the Inn helped us grab a cancellation!! She was a great help!!
Stay here regularly and this is a good hotel for the price. They provided a clean attractive room whether in the back or front building. Staff is always helpful. We have never encountered a problem with the facilities in all our may stays over a period of several years.
How do i begin... wash towel on the floor at our arrival. table leg was broken. sheets looked dirty. no soap for the sink area. pubic hair by the tub- bathroom floor was a little dirty. wi-fi internet extremely slow. Breakfast was pretty good. we will not return to this hotel.
Opened room...smelled really bad...probably must or mildew..noticed some of the tiles on the ceiling were stained...water ??? Someone glued the bathmat down in the bathtub..when you stood in tub for shower..the tub was unsteady like it was cracked underneath...strange... The breakfast room was small and dreary..old couch that needs to be junked. I would not stay here again.
The hotel was in a nice area so no concerns with safety. The room could stand some renovation and deep cleaning. An nice workout facility would give a better value for your money. The towels and toilet paper definitely need upgrading. The breakfast bar was not great. It offered minimal cereal and fruit choices. The sausage was filled with fat and soy so I am not sure it really qualified as meat.
We stayed here and met with friends. Great staff, made the effort to be friendly, courteous, and helpful. Good location for restaurants within walking distance. Convenient to shopping and downtown activity.
I was in charge of finding a hotel for s group of motorcyclist and we wanted exterior entrances. We needed to be close to restaurants and great roads to ride during our visit. We had a great 5 day stay and the staff was very easy to work with.
Easily accessible, Surrounded by great eateries, Quiet, Reasonable and you can have a balcony! Located in a pretty little town in the mountains of Georgia. Near hiking trails, historic places and friendly people
This Best Western doesn't seem as good as other Best Western hotels I've stayed at in the past. Over $100 a night (with tax) for this place was excessive. Room seemed dowdy. Bathroom tile should be replaced instead of patched. We stayed at a Super 8 the night before that was nicer than this. Breakfast room is way too small. Choices for breakfast were good except all eggs were hard fried.
Hotel shows its age and is in need of Make Over. Don't accept room fronting on the highway side of hotel as it makes the use of the provide balcony unusable. Hotel rates are high for the services provided.
Hotel is clean and convenient, close to several eating places. Gets a little noisy early 6-7 as do most Hotels close to the main street of a small town. Nice area of the mountains. We used this Hotel as a overnight stay after attending a concert in another town.
Don't stay here. Old, smelly, no towels provided, no cleaning services, manager/owner arguing with guests in lobby, after checkout charged for "room damages" that never occurred or were pre-existing. Rude staff, management worse and unintelligible. Scamming hurricane victims. Shameful.
Booked directly with Best Western website however the room we were offered did not exist when we tried to check in. We were offered a smoking room on the website only to find out the entire motel is completely smoke free.
If you don't like big cities or tourist trap towns, Blairsville is the place for you and the Best Western is the place to stay. We liked the large clean room with comfy king bed. The breakfast bar has a good variety of cold and hot items. The ginger tea was a pleasant indulgence.
No Internet in room 211, was told it was because of the eclipse, two days before the event! lol.... Evening shift (check in) Front desk lady throws daggers at ya like you are one of her misbehaving kids or something. Very condescending. Her and fat old security dude chain smoke, and reek the place up. No bath items provided like shampoo, or conditioner. Simply disgusting. The breakfast was very well done, and the girl at the desk in the morning was delightful. Bed was clean, and average. Pool needs maintenance on broken ladders which is actually a safety issue. Stay somewhere else until they fire some of their problems here.
I loved my stay at the Best Western Milton Inn. Renae was so helpful in making sure that my room was ready for early check in. I was delighted with the room. It was very clean, breakfast was tasty and filling and the other staff members were lovely!
Quality for a good price. The hotel is kept up nicely. The location is walkable to restaurants near the town square. Some rooms have a balcony with interior entrances, while most have exterior entrances that you can park in front of your room. No elevators. The only down side was the location of the only ice machine, in the far end of the interior building. They need to add another ice machine to the vending room in the other building.
On the motorcycle & got caught in the rain. It was perfect timing to see the Best Western sign & we were lucky to get a room in the late afternoon on a Saturday. Every room has a balcony & there is an outdoor pool. There are also many choices for food within walking distance, from pizza to chicken to steak. We will definitely be coming back!
A clean room, a staff that went beyond what is ordinary, a good breakfast, and a very good price for the stay--this is my experience with Best Western Milton Inn. We would stay there again. Plenty of parking, even if you're pulling a boat. Entrance from two streets adds to the ease of parking.
This hotel is very clean and comfortable. I would recommend. It does not have an exercise room though, and it has a small outdoor pool. People are very friendly, kind and accommodating. It is family friendly!
The hotel is clean and reasonably priced. Plenty of parking. Access from two different directions makes entrance and exit very convenient. Would gladly stay here again. Free breakfast is included but we left for our days adventures before 6 AM so we did not try it.
The lady at check in was very helpful and nice I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was clean and the bed slept great, I had coffee in the room and and opt out to eat breakfast. Only because I had to leave very early and didn't Breakfast wasn't ready.
The front desk staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was quite decent with a large variety. There are a couple of restaurants across the parking lot if you don't feel like driving to dinner. My only complaint is that it was a little difficult with traffic turning left out onto the main road from the parking lot.
We arrived a day early and were able to get in no problem. We rented originally a outside room but found the inside rooms much more quiet. Was able to stay in one of them with a small balcony and park our car right outside the room. Nice clean pool. Very nice breakfast bar with fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, waffle maker. Also had big water so we're able to refil our water bottles. Room clean. Melanie who just started there was a very sweet kind lady and very helpful. Would bend over backwards to do anything for you. Hard to find that kind of good people nowadays.
Everything about this stay was very good. All of the staff was very friendly and ready to help. I had a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was very substantial and very good and the staff was available to keep it clean and well stocked.
My SO and I go on trips every few weeks to get away from work and family and we always choose to come up to Blairsville to get away. At check-in, "Dan The Man" was the one working the front desk. He hooked us up with a later check-out time, and we got a good room with a balcony and no neighbors. We didn't see him again after that night except when he was helping an elderly lady with the vending machine. If you go stay at this hotel, ask if Dan The Man is working. He's really enjoyable to talk to and goes out of his way to make sure the guests are comfortable.
Rooms were nice size. Very Clean. Beds comfy. Breakfast offering excellent. Close to restaurants...walking distance. Safe area. Lots of things are very close to this hotel and easily accessed. Next time staying longer.
After dozing while at the wheel, I realized I needed to get off the road and the Best Western Milton Inn was the first I came to. It was the right choice for quality of service, courteous professional service, cleanliness and a great bed! I definitely recommend it and will stay here again.
This Best Western has a great location in northern GA within walking distance of some interesting local places and close to 3 national forests and fun backroads. BMW MOA features an annual ride in northern GA which is very pretty.
The motel was ok not anything fancy, free breakfast was not good, very poor selection of foods. Beds were comfortable, bring your own shampoo the very small bottle they give you will only wash hair once for one person. Only basic cable no movie channels.
Arrived to find out the type of room I had reserved was not available (King non-smoking). Settled on non-smoking with two queens on the second floor. No elevator with difficult steps to navigate. Really clean facility. Very friendly and accommodating associates. Breakfast provided. Greasy sausage patties and those awful egg things. Waffle is good. Usual selection of cereal, yogurt and a few fruits. You can eat healthy here but if you want a good American breakfast go out in town. Good place to kay your head down in Blairsville.
Strong smoke smell in non smoking room breakfast is 630 to 930 so most left before it started And all the cornors of the room shower ect needed recocking This is not a 85 to 95$ stay id suggest its price be 70 to 75 after taxes
Visiting waterfalls, we selected this as one of our stays. We were pleasantly greeted and our room upgraded to one in their new addition. This .was not a busy time so the facility was not crowded. We found it quite clean and our room comfortable. The breakfast eating area was limited to a small number of guests, but sufficient for the number at the time we ate. I did notify the receptionist that certain breakfast items needed restocking, and this was done, but the trash can was left full requiring guests to press down on the trash and compact it in order to dispose of theirs.
First, don't charge a $20 per night fee for a non-smoking room, especially after having already provided a quote on Booking.com. Be very leery of "free breakfast" when the employees don't wear gloves when handling food and there's no sink in the area, the milk is left in an open container on the counter and is not in a chilled environment, the boiled eggs are in an open container with a tiny bit of ice under it that is expected to keep it at the proper temperature, and the manager brings food out in ziploc bags to place in the serving area. The results can be most unfortunate that evening.
Very clean rooms and nice people. We enjoyed our stay and beautiful location ...The mountains and lake view of the location is awesome. There was places close by to eat and near enough other places to go for sites. The rooms were very clean which is very nice.
One more BW to add to a long list of good places to stay. This BW was clean throughout and the staff, as always at BestWestern, was knowledgeable and friendly. This BW has rooms with balconies. My room was on the first floor but the upper rooms with balconies have a view of the mountains and you can request one with a view. Several fast food and sitdown restaurants in walking distance. Blairsville is pretty spread out for a small town but many interesting places and scenic drives in close proximityl
our stay was very short, only one night, wit two rooms. Rooms very clean, fresh smelling, air worked well, tub clean as well as bathroom. For an older motel, much work has been done to make it look nice. The ladies at the front desk were awesome. I had to make several phone calls for this reservation as our plans were constantly changing and each time they were so accommodating and helpful. We were there to move our parents out of their mountain home back to our town. So as this was a difficult trip, their help made it much easier.
clean, but toilet was small, not a downstairs room as I had asked for, my disable husband, fridge made a ticking noise all night, until we unplugged it which meant not cold drinks. Loud people in Breafast area, talking ugly.
This place is in the center of Blairsville and all the areas to explore in the surrounding areas. The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. The front desk made our stay worthwhile, complimentary hot breakfast was available every morning. We had an issue with our door not locking properly, front desk notified and maintenance fixed the issue within 20 minutes. We had friends joining us the next day and we asked if they could issue their room next to us and they did so without hesitation. Definitely a budget friendly place.
check in clerk was nice and ask what food we liked and told us of several places to eat, room was clean and housekeeping did a good job, breakfast could have a bit better what i did not like was there was an out side door which the dead bolt lock had been removed and replaced with metal plate
Rooms are on the outside not the inside. If you are wanting inside rooms look elsewhere. However, the rooms are spacious like an open suite so very roomy-(pun intended). We had a king bed which was spacious enough for a family and if you want to go that route rollaway beds are available. It's a small Inn so call in advance if you need a rollaway. Rooms are clean and tidy. Great deal for less than a hundred bucks. I got the veterans discount so it only set us back $81 USD plus tax. Room was quiet and the AC/Heat worked great. Blairsville is situated in the north Georgia mountains and is very picturesque especially this particular time of year as the leaves are changing making the mountains look like beautiful patchwork quilts. There are mountain view rooms but there is an extra fee. There will be a rate increase for the first and second week in November for the mountain viewing, after that rates should stabilize. As always ask for discounts. Staff were kind, knowledgable and efficient. Check in was a breeze but Mary was a little perturbed at having to negotiate stairs to the outside rooms. She likes elevators. (Spoiled brat!) There is a hot breakfast, eggs, sausage, toaster and waffle iron along with all the standard cold stuff-cereal, bread, yogurt etc. Breakfast is from 6:30 am-9:30 am. Check out is 11am but like most every Best Western this can be extended to 12 noon for a late check out. They will extend further but it will set you back $10 USD per hour. I would call and make certain about anything past noon. Standard in room amenities that we love are here-Microwave, coffee maker, fridge and flat screen TV with all the channels. No HBO. But all the kids channels, Disney, Nickelodeon and my favorite-Cartoon Network. We were on the second floor and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot. For business travelers or long haulers there is a ironing board and iron. Blairsville is a small town so they roll up their sidewalks early so don't expect too much night life-we wanted to see a movie but the last movie at the theater was 7:30pm. For such a small town, there are quite a few Barber and beauty shops; the one Mary went to see got her in as a last minute walk in at 9:30am on a Monday morning! It's called "The Hair People" run by a lovely lady named Sandy Scerbo on 23E Murphy Hwy Blairsville. If you need some last minute hair do fixing, be sure to give Sandy a call, her shop is in the guide to Blairsville and in the back are all the businesses listed with the Chamber of Commerce. Ask for a copy of the book from the front desk. It will save you a lot of Google searches. All in all a great place to stay. We will definitely be back and my lovely spoiled brat queen will just have to deal with the stairs!
The reason we chose to stay here was because of one of the pictures we saw where it looked like it was away from the main drag nestled in the mountains. We reserved a balcony room with a king bed but changed to 2 queens so we could be on the other side of the building otherwise we would have been right on hwy 76. The motel was hard to find because coming from the south the sign was blocked by trees, the decor is dated, and there is no elevator. The motel was clean and well kept. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Helpful staff that made checking in a breeze letting us straight into a lovely room. The beds where nice and comfy, the included breakfast was good with a good choice of food. The hotel is very close to the town centre and across the carpark is an excellent Italian Restaurant .
Helpful staff with no problem in booking in. A very reasonable breakfast included in charge. I would not hesitate in returning if i found myself in that part of Georgia again. It is very central to town and eating establishments .
Poor, room not prepared and was a 4 pm check in. Person who checked in, a former native Floridian, was terrible. On the second floor, so we took all our bags to the floor to find the room door open and no one around, and room not made up.
We had a great time in Blairsville. Our stay at BW was average. House keeping needs to pay attention to detail and vacuum all the floor not just the middle. Updating interior would be of guest rooms would be of great appeal. Otherwise all was appropriate. Thank you!
Stayed here one night. We arrived about 10 pm the attendant who checked us in was very friendly. Quickly check this in. our room was clean it was a large room. The hot breakfast was very good scrambled eggs sausage waffles and all the trimmings. Walking distance from the hotel there is a Domino's Pizza Zaxby's and Italian restaurant. If I'm in Blairsville again I will definitely stay here
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room is starting to show it's age and needs some updates, but it was very clean and comfortable and in the end isn't that what really matters. Breakfast was not like some Best Western properties but was OK. It's free so I'm not going to complain to much. It was located in nice area and was easy to get around. I would probably stay here again if in this area again.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We would certainly stay here again. Free Breakfast was an added bonus. Prices for one night just a bit high. Motel was close to several good places to eat. There are gorgeous views from almost all the rooms.
We went there for the heritage fair. It's a beautiful, quaint little town. Everyone was so friendly. A great variety of both local and chain restaurants. Went to one of the stables and did some wonderful horseback riding. Fun was had by all!
Planned a stop in Blairsville to visit old friends and former comrades in arms. Spent three nights at the Best Western Milton Inn. Nice place. Clean room, asked for and got a balcony room....facing US 76... nice to sit outside and watch the traffic after a day of visiting. Maggie was the front desk rep. Great lady. We had a good conversation while she checked me in. She's a keeper. Would stay here again, but in a room facing away from the highway.
I would have liked to have given a better review. Rooms are spacious and clean, and staff is friendly. But the wifi is a joke, and despite all of my coworkers having trouble with it, the staff acted like it was news to them. They have an IT hotline ready to hand out to anyone who calls and complains about the wifi, which tells me they clearly get that phone call a lot (Also, I've worked in hospitality, and it was NEVER the customer's job to call IT or anyone else if something wasn't working. It was my job, as an employee). I don't blame the staff. It's between the manager and the internet provider. I stayed in 4 different rooms, and was able to get wifi only if close to the office, and even then it was shoddy. I got really, really behind on things I needed to do because of it. Please spend the money on better internet service, and don't insult your customers by acting like they are the first to complain.
The worst hotel that I've ever stayed in. The room had the stench beyond belief of stale cigarettes... I came to the office to share my concerns. As I approached the office, Maggie was 2 feet from the front office door smoking a cigarette. I addressed our horrible room conditions with her:. The AC did not work well & the room stench needed what is called terminal cleaning. I was offered a can of Lysol... I will be writing a formal letter to the Upper management. DISGUSTING! The outside common areas were littered with cigarette butts... very dated facility.
We stayed two nights in the new non-smoking building at this hotel. It had everything that we needed and was clean and convenient. It was a good value and we would stay there again. Blairsville was a nice place to visit.
The room was so smoke ridden it made me sick. The air conditioning did not work at all. We had no were else available nearby to stay. Avoid this place if you can! I understand it was a smoking room but they need to do terminal cleaning. I've stayed in smoking rooms before that weren't half this bad.
Uninvited Spiders &/or Roaches shared the room with me during all three nights of my recent stay. Staff did not appear to be responsive to my needs. Go across the street to Huddle House for breakfast. Free breakfast needs lots of improvement. Security latch was however fixed on my door the AM after I reported it broken. Front desk will not answer a late night call. VERY POOR SERVICE. They have seen the last of me & I frequently visit Blairsville.
Hotel was in good shape. Room was in good condition. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Parking was close to room but away from the road. Little bit of a walk to the lobby and the breakfast area is a little small but the food was good.
We were looking for a base to stay to spend some time in the southern NC mountains after a week at the John Campbell Folk School and found this motel to be a superior value in the area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical hot breakfast bar (sausage/egg/biscuit/gravy/boiled eggs) with do-it-yourself waffles and instant grits/oatmeal. They also had cold items. Internet service was good. We were glad we drove the extra miles for this motel
The wife and I went to Blairsville for a Masonic Meeting weekend as I went to the meeting Mrs stayed at the motel, Very Clean the best breakfast I have ever had at a motel so good I was looking forward to the second morning all the staff was very pleasant and helpful everything was clean including the rooms pool and parking lot. WiFi in the new building was BAD!! also 4g was intermediate in room. Price was a good value for what you get would stay again.
Good basic motel in Blairsville.. there is not a lot to choose from in the way of hotels. Needed somewhere to stay for one night. Hotel was clean and served its purpose well. Would be nice if they had breakfast until 10... 930 is a little early to stop serving.
My husband and I had a reservation at the comfort inn we arrived no one was there to check us in. After over an hour wait we called your location, and explained our emergency, and the night clerk Dan was very helpful and sympathetic to our situation, not only did he get us a great room he helped us with our bags. We tried to give him a generous tip but he refused to accept it and said he was just glad he could help! Wow! Needless to say comfort Inns loss is your hotels gain. Thanks see you soon!
This hotel had the very last room available within 50 miles, due to a car show nearby. The location is convenient for anyone who will be vacationing in the Tri-State area. The room was clean and good sized. The breakfast is skimpy and typical of a low cost hotel. The staff was polite and helpful. I did have to pay extra for a rollaway bed, so the cost for one night was higher than expected... Overall, a great location for a getaway in the Carolina Cherokee hills!
Spent a weekend here. Extremely friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Thr rooms are very well insulated and heard nothing through walls. Very peaceful. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, waffles, hot sausage, eggs, muffins, etc. Pool in great shape. I recommend finding your way to Helton Creek Falls while in Blairsville.
We ride the area on motorcycles with friends, and this is a great place to stay in. Just enough out of the way of being in the big tourism areas, but close enough to visit easily. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all that we needed. Service was good, plenty to eat for breakfast, and the staff very pleasant. We will stay here again when in the area.
Arrived here, after notification, in the middle of the night. A sleepy, rude man came down in his PJ's, gave us the keys without any words, directed us vaguely to a uncertain direction...Found eventually our room, but as the room was missing the room number it was a bit of a venture. The room was not clean, unidentified dirt on the bathroom wall. We never got new towels for the second night. We did not dare to even sit on the blankets but slept under the clean (??) sheets.
Very quiet; was a big gap between the door and the floor and I was afraid a snake or alligator might crawl in and get me but I laid an extra pillow down and nothing got in - plus I was on the 2nd floor. The room was nice and cool on a hot day and it was clean. I was a female alone and there were a lot of construction workers staying there but I felt safe. The staff was friendly and courteous.
I haven't even checked out, but I felt compelled to write a review now. I don't recommend staying here if you want a good night sleep. The mattress has a huge divot, which made sleeping darn near impossible. I just read a review about Room 301 and the mattress was a problem then and it still is now.
My wife an I have used the Milton Inn a couple of times when we needed 'somewhere' to stay. [Last October septic tank issues, this May construction delays on our home]. It's perhaps a little more expensive than the other options in town, but the rooms (in the new block) are better in our opinion. Breakfast is adequate and consistent with this class of hotel/motel. Staff are always friendly and helpful in my experience.
Usually this is a great hotel. This trip was the worst, due to Friday night. I think the hotel owner was overwhelmed with a lot of guests, but no employees to handle the load. I have always stayed at this BW, this time was a disappointment.
Arrived about 9:00 pm. Counter lady was friendly and helpful, as she pointed out where the local Walmart was located. She had to help us get the door open, as the computer thing on the door wouldn't unlock. Then we saw a 3/4" roach type bug on the back of door. Killed one in the bathroom too. Tested the hot water, it was hot very quick. Good. Bed was so-so, not too hard or soft. Bride thought it slightly lumpy. The next morning. Disaster. Went to take a shower about 8:45 am. Let the water run about 7-10 minutes, literally. The water never got beyond mildly lukewarm. Went to office to get some kind of discount. He gave $10 off. Bride wanted to add that there was no one 'running' the breakfast. No pancake batter, tray of FROZEN sausage patties on top of microwave.
They quoted a low price and charged me more. Very noisy all night. pickups coming and going. Filthy room and the door didn't close properly. Pick-up truck drag races in the parking lot all night. Felt like hourly rentals.
Directions were accurate but the city needs to mark roads more clearly. Our check-in was made easy by the charming and outgoing personality of Donna. The hotel was under going renovations but this did not deter from the staffs ability to keep everything clean ad presentable.Donna greeted us at check-in and went out of her way to assist. She made sure we were satisfied with our room and we were.the room was clean and quiet Breakfast was well laid out and was nice made so by the efforts of Maggie who checked us out.She was a card and helped made the morning journey more pleasant.I will definitely return.
The Best Western Milton Inn is conveniently located on art 76 with many restrauants close by.The staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean with a micro wave, fridge, coffee pot, blow dryer and an iron and ironing board.Fine for an overnight stay. They were remodeling so the outside was pretty messy but once inside the room was fine.My only complaint would be the small flat pillows but for one night it was ok.
I went to Blairsville for a fly fishing weekend. I chose Best Western as I am a rewards card holder. The room was clean, TV excellent, bed comfortable. Only negative was that the tissue box was empty, but the desk clerk took care of that as soon as I reported it.
This is our 2nd visit. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is very clean. The mattress pad kept scrunching up under the bottom sheet making it uncomfortable. The toilets are VERY low to the floor, I suppose good for smaller people, but still uncomfortable to an average/tall guest. The breakfast ranges from pre-made eggs, sausage patties, fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, biscuits & gravy and waffles. It was kept well stocked.
I do not normally stay at a Best Western but I was traveling with 2 other couples and they wanted to keep the price down so we settled on this hotel and location. When I called to make reservations I inquired about inside and outside rooms. There are 2 sections. A 2 story section with outside rooms and a section with inside rooms. I chose the inside as I feel more secure than outside but it doesn't matter. The inside rooms only have 1 door to enter this section and it's always open. The stairs are steep and there is no elevator. The rooms are old and outdated but clean. Not overly clean but no issues. However returning 1 day at 4:00 PM our room was not cleaned yet. Also the cleaning staff does not speak any English as we tried to tell them come back in 45 minutes as we would be leaving then but they tried to enter twice more before we left. The so called breakfast is very poor. We did not eat anything all 3 days we were there. The shower keeps getting hot and cold and the AC/Heat came on and off all night and is extremely loud. If you're looking for a nice, comfortable stay with a good breakfast look elsewhere. If price is your only driving force it will suffice but I've checked this one off my list
I have stayed at the Best Western Milton Inn a number of times over the last few years and have always been pleased with my experience. The staff is friendly, the location is convenient, and the value is good.
I stayed in the newer section of the hotel. The place was in decent repair and the room was spacious. It is on a state highway, but I didn't notice the street noise really. Furnishings were OK and the bed was comfortable enough. There are restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was fine, but the food was not very good and the breakfast space was small and not very clean by the time I got there (e.g. garbage overflowing, counters in need of a wipe down). The price of the hotel was quite reasonable. Overall, I would say that this hotel was fine, but nothing outstanding. You could do worse.
stayed there before but always in the new section. Don't recommend the old section at all. When I realized my reservations were in the old section and they had rooms available in the new section, I asked about it and it was obvious he didn't want to do the paperwork to change even though I was willing to pay the difference. The door to the room drug on the carpet that it took a lot of effort to open. The room smelled and there were roaches in the bathroom. Lights outside were so bright that it made sleep more difficult since we are used to a fairly dark room at home. We discovered the next morning that we only had one bath cloth.
The rooms are clean, but old. The internet is slow and the room smells like smoke. It is conveniently located in Blairsville. You can walk to the town square for food and drinks. It is in a noisy location, and you can easily hear the traffic from your room
We were pleased the motel was in a safe part of town. Wish we had a good view of the mountains - since we had asked, but had tree blocking the view. Breakfast was really good and we enjoyed visiting with others who were sharing breakfast. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
If you want to wake up from a bad dream being hurt to find out that it was a reality, stay at this location. I woke up my husband screaming from getting a cut from a broken spring that had poked out of the mattress. Not only was this a nightmare and bleeding on my left knee from the cut, went to the walk in clinic the next day to find out that I have a fever and my cut was infected. Told the manager which by the way is from India and the owner did not care that I was cut and said it was just a little scratch and that I was find and did not need to go to the doctor. Had to get two shots, antibiotics and go back the next day to the walk in clinic and get another because I still had a fever. This owner is so cheap that he said that he would pay for the two night stay and the copayments for the medicine and the walk in clinic. He went back on his word and only gave us one free night and still made us pay the taxes for the free night. Never ever will I stay with this best western and the owner makes best western values extremely bad.
Overall a good experience. The hot items offered at breakfast was very limited. Sausage and eggs every morning until the hotel ran out of eggs, then we were served sausage and bacon. The waffle iron was not cooking one morning and the electrical switch had to be reset.
Very nice place to stay for a couple of nights. A lot of places to eat near by. Front desk was very nice & easy to check in. THe Breakfast had alot of different items. Didn't go to the pool, but it look like it was clean.
We were again in the area for a combination work/getaway stay. I am happy to report that the property continues to provide a very clean room with expected amenities. The staff is extremely friendly and the location is perfect - being a comfortable walk to the Blairsville Town Square.
Looking for a place close to Hiwassee and Blairsville, Located this hotel through a web site. Thought the price was reasonable for the area and found everything as advertised. Close to downtown Blairsville and convenient to access other towns and mountains in Northeast GA. Would gladly stay here again
