The hotel staff was outstanding. Any needs from extra towels or snacks were accommodated. Everyone was friendly and the services were well worth the cost. Bridgette the manager was excellent in her willingness to go above and beyond when assisting me and my other family members! I am looking forward to my next stay.
Found this hotel when driving through the area on a cross country trip. A little pricey, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The entire property was well maintained and beautifully decorated. Staff was helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and will return if in the area again. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Staying here to get our son checked into Garden City CC to continue his baseball & academic career. Probably the best BW we've stayed at. Clean property, quiet rooms & great breakfast. The coffee & espresso machine & filtered water are a nice touch.
The amenities at this Best Western are the most amazing I have ever had. The pool area is beautiful with colored lights and a cloud painted ceiling. The breakfast bar is always well stocked and has a specialty item every morning that is excellent. They also offer oatmeal pancakes which is helpful for someone with gluten sensitivity. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.
First impressions are accurate! From driving into the well-maintained parking lot, the grounds are clean and professionally groomed, the exterior is maintain well lit and safe. Entering the hotel is a friendly staff well maintained atmosphere very neat and clean! The rooms are clean and in working order. The breakfast is staffed by friendly ladies with a variety of choices. The entire experience from checking in to checking out his pleasant
A consistently good stop. This is the second time I have stayed at this property. The last was 2 years ago. Not much has changed in the at time. The rooms are clean, and I would say updated. The rooms are very quiet but its a smaller town too. The property offers a hot breakfast that was good and very busy on a Sunday morning. There is also a coffee machine for specialty coffees in addition to the regular drip coffee at the breakfast. The bar is very small and not used much. On the Saturday night it was the front desk clerk who was also the bartender.
We stayed here in room 315 on 7/28/24. We thought the hotel had one of the most impressive lobby's that we have seen at a BW. There are many high end touches. It's impressive. The driveway to the hotel is off the Aaron's rental lot. There is plenty of free parking. Check in was fine and check out was very good. Room 315 is a good sized mini suite (open but separate sitting area with it's own TV. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The pillows are not full sized. There was a fridge with a freezer, microwave and a coffee maker. The internet was good. The shower had good water pressure and the bathroom has an exhaust fan which was great. The office chair was broken (tipped way to far back). The disappointment was breakfast. First the area while pretty is too small. Guests trip over one another and the tables are too small for a family of four. The food was OK but despite signs saying there was homemade oatmeal and instructions to make your own yogurt, there was no yogurt and the oatmeal was the instant Quaker packets. The area was kept well stocked and cleaned but was what I'd expect at a regular Best Western not a Plus. Overall, it was a good stay and we'd stay here again
The Best Western Plus was in a prime location for shopping and amenities. The hotel was very clean, the staff was welcoming and nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
Hotel was very nice & clean...Up to date and the breakfast was very good. Bridgett & Karen were a joy to deal with..Highly recommend
The staff was really great here. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area or passing through even.
Very clean hotel and rooms. The cleaning solution they use is a bit overwhelming for someone with a sensitive sense of smell. The beds are comfortable, friendly front desk staff and excellent breakfast options, including the coffee bar. It is a busy hotel and there was a lot of noise in the hallways at night and banging of doors closing at 5:30-6:00 am as people are leaving. Would stay here again when passing through.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I love how the hotel paid attention to all the details such as cleaning and bagging the remote controls for the tvs in my room. They came by every morning to take out my trash and redo my bed. The couch didn't feel dirty or sticky, it was very clean. My keurig was not working so I let the front desk know. Right away, they sent one of their domestic executives to my room. Someone had tampered with the machine which is why it didn't work. Very prompt and efficient staff. As for the bed, it was not very comfortable. It was too hard for me. Overall, great stay.
Property was in great shape. Rooms and common area were well kept. Smaller details didn't go unnoticed such as tea, water, and Nespresso machine in lobby area, filtered water available in main hallway and ceiling fans to help keep room comfortable.
I have stayed in 49 states and 30+ countries. I have never seen a hotel that would not hold your bag until your room is ready. Until today. I arrived early. Did not expect a room; I just wanted to leave my bag so I could go do my business. They refused. They also refused to give me a refund (refundable reservation, but past the deadline). I have gone to a nearby hotel that properly handles guests. This is the easy stuff. I would certainly not trust them to do ANYTHING right at this property. Avoid. This. Property.
My experience with Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites Hotel was incredibly disappointing. Despite making a reservation a month in advance, they inexplicably canceled it on the day of check-in, citing a policy of not accepting reservations from locals. This lack of communication and sudden cancellation left my guests stranded without accommodations, causing significant inconvenience and frustration. The hotel's policy not to accept reservations from locals is not only discriminatory but also poorly communicated. It's astonishing that such a decision would be implemented without informing guests well in advance. This disregard for customer service and the inconvenience caused demonstrate a severe lack of professionalism on the part of Best Westerns Hotel. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel if you value reliability and fair treatment as a guest. My experience reflects poorly on their management and overall customer service, making it an establishment I cannot recommend.
We make this trip a couple time of month, and this particular time, a heavy winter storm hit. We had been on the ICY roads 11 hours when we pulled into the hotel. They were working hard to clean the parking lot, sidewalks were salted, hotel was tastefully decorated for Christmas- It was such a welcome sight. We got the type room we requested. Very clean, up to date, modern, yet cozy. Staff was very friendly especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choices, well stocked and clean area. We loved the Nativity on Display. We will definitely stay here again on our many trips from Texas to South Dakota.
When you pay for a 2 queen bed suite, I would think you would get 2 queen beds. Well you don't here. You get 2 full beds. I was not impressed by that. Also when we arrived, we waited at least 30 minutes at the front desk to be helped. I called the front desk and nothing.
Nice clean hotel! Even smells clean! We booked the double queen suite which was perfect for us and kids. Very roomy hotel room. Breakfast was great and hot. Lots of options and again, very clean. The lady working the breakfast area was wiping tables and serving area the minute people left. I wish all hotels at this level were ran like this one. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
Clean, nicely decorated hotel! Rooms are small (especially the bathrooms). FYI for short people: Beds are high! Swimming pool under construction at this time (Nov.). Breakfast was decent and person working it was pleasant.
We stay at this hotel alot for business, you just have to check your bill and make sure it is correct. Otherwise the staff are very nice. We probably stay there 2-3 times a month. Janeth is the manager tell her i sent you.
Very clean and updated hotel. Breakfast was good and items were hot. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel one of the best I've stayed in. Great location
Best sleeping beds available. The continual breakfast was amazing. The home cooked eggs, salsa, and sausage links didn't taste like hotel food they were much better. The hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond
Beds are hard as a rock. Room smelled bad. Service ok. Had to go to desk to get extra towels and pillows even though they said they would deliver them. Housekeeping was nice but didn't speak English so we had trouble communicating.
CLEAN ROOM! Great breakfast, they changed it up each day slightly which was nice. Great service, the girls were very friendly. But most of all , clean room!!!! Very happy with the whole experience here. Highly recommend!
The staff are excellent, service reflects their knowledge, people skills, and what makes for a pleasant stay. We had very poor driving conditions, lightning storms, extreme heat, rain, and even driving on icy road due to earlier hail! Our room was spotless. We slept vey comfortably and in the morning, the coffee was excellent, and the breakfast every bit as good as at home. The bathroom was well supplied with linens and toiletries of a very good quality. This place is outstanding!
Spent Sunday night here on Memorial Day weekend. This hotel is top of any Best Western I've stayed at. Great pool setup, the pool is warm and the hot tub is hot. Great breakfast spread. Decor is very nice. I stay here whenever passing through town.
First thing, Despite having had the reservation for many days, I was greeted at the front desk and was told by the desk clerk that this hotel would not rent a room to some one local. I stated I had a reservation and was a rewards card holder and was still told that they would not rent the room to me because I was local. I asked why it wasn't disclosed on the website as I booked the room on BW online reservations and not through a 3rd party. I then stated that it was for family, and I was then asked if they were from out of town, BW could use one of their ID's. I asked why this wasn't disclosed on the website and the clerk stated that it was the owner's preference. I was frankly quite offended and put off by this policy. What a hassle and menace to good people who have no malicious intent to do harm to the facility. If it would have been earlier in the day, I would have gone and found another hotel for my older parents stay as our house was full of other family members. I understand that proprietors can make their own wishes as to how to manage their facilities however as stated before I was angered and insulted that no prior communication of this policy was disclosed, additionally there is no mention of this policy on the website that I could find. I doubt that Best Western Corporate would approve of the discrimination of any current and future patrons based of their geographic location.
We have stayed here 3 times a year for 4 years. We have always had a good experience. This visit, this hotel, charged our credit card for the amount owed $45. The night we stayed beside the $45, they charged another $500. Was told by the front desk they didn't know what happened. They said it would be fixed before we checked out. I trusted them big mistake. They did not fix this charge. And to top it off, they charged another $400 to my card the day after we had checked out. We contacted Discover card, and they are filing a fraud alert. It is one thing to let bad service pass. Theft is not ok. If you stay here, check credit card charges.
The breakfast is always great there it is always hot. They have a great number of items to choose from cold cereal, to hot food. Pancakes to toast to bagels to pastries, eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy! I've always enjoyed their breakfast. The room was not so great. We booked 2 Queen sized beds but got 2 full sized beds! So sleep was not the best in the small beds.
I stay here often for work and book at the same hotel each time. It was highly recommended by my co-workers as the place to stay when here in Garden City. It's a comfortable and clean hotel and I enjoy my stay each time. It's become my home away from home since I travel here every other week for the past several months.
Exceptional hotel. By far the best Best Western I have stayed at for work or leisure purposes. The ambience was very nice. The breakfast was a little better than most hotels. The room I had was very spacious, but I do think I was upgraded which was nice since I was there Monday through Friday. The only small, small complaint I can think of is that the shampoo and conditioner were a little hard to get out of the bottles for some reason and I would suggest the hotel simply add the environmentally friendly reusable bottles that can be attached in the shower. The woman that ran the front desk and also doubled serving drinks in the bar area was so nice. It's hard to find good customer service and she was absolutely wonderful. I normally stay at Hilton brand hotels and did stay at the Hampton Inn the first night in town... no comparison, this BW blew the Hampton Inn out of the water. Kudos to you all there.
Delightful from beginning to end! From the moment we checked in the hospitality was evident. Our room was clean and comfortable. Local dining recommendations were given and appreciated! Breakfast, it's a 10. Terrific place to stay. Will return.
Nice hotel close to everything in Garden City. Hotel staff was nice. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again. The not draw back was pool was located near the lobby and was inconvenient to access.
I came in from the west and couldn't see any signage for the hotel. I parked and realized I was in the back. Once I found the front entrance I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the Inn. Nice lobby area and local weather being shown on a tv screen.
I want to thank The Best Western in Garden City, I had a great experience. I got in late at night, Angel, helped me. I had to pay with a debit, he explained the extra charge and how it would be reimbursed. I had left another hotel across the road, because that gentleman was not sure of the policies, and could not guarantee a refund of the extra funds (because of the debit type payment) Angel, was so kind and professional. In the morning at check out, Sandra was very friendly and kind. Both were knowledgeable and sincere. The hotel was clean and up to date. I will definitely stay there again if I have a need to. Great customer service seems to stand out these days, because it is rare. Thank you, Deb
The hotel was beautiful from the outside of property to the actual room. Would definitely stay there again. Front lobby doors lock at night so you feel very secure there. Free breakfast in the morning was tasty also.
I was pleasantly surprised with how good this place was. I have travelled all over the country and this was as good as any I have stayed in. Staff is friendly, helpful and well trained. I did have a problem with my Keurig coffee pot. They tried to fix it, but eventually removed it as non-functional.
We found this to be a beautiful, relatively new hotel in a safe area, with nicely decorated, well appointed guest rooms. In addition, the breakfast was yummy and in a lovely, modern atmosphere. All of the employees we encountered were very nice as well.
Great visit to this location! Had excellent customer service. Beautiful hotel which was clean and well maintained. Comfortable rooms and a great nights sleep. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you.
The people we met at this hotel were beyond nice. They all seemed to have very good attitudes. The place was clean and had looked to be kept in good condition. There is a nice pool and hot tub although I didn't use them. The Fitness room had standard equipment that worked well but not fancy. Breakfast was good and there was lots of options.
We got the 2 queen bed suite. It had plenty of room for kids to visit with grandpa and enough counter space for us all to eat. We will definitely stay again. My father came for my wedding and we went to the saltwater pool and jacuzzi, it was very clean and relaxing.
We have never stayed at this Best Western on our cross country trips, we usually stay at the "other" hotel next door, but after the last stay there, which was disgusting, we decided to try this Best Western Plus. WE WISH WE HAD FOUND THIS ONE SOONER! Very nice hotel. We were in a hurry, and arrived late, but we will be back and hopefully have more time for the lounge and breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.
Do not let the updated look fool you. This place has paper thin walls. We could hear everything and it is impossible to rest. Food is Eh. We will not stay here again. We checked out as early as possible so we could find local breakfast. Left there exhausted and hungry.
I asked for a receptionist for an emergency to call the Person in the room as the wife is at the hospital and we've been trying to call him on the phone we thought he was sleeping but the receptionist does not cooperate. It was an emergency situation and if they believe that it was soliciting they could have confirmed the person if they knew the caller.
We come to the area to visit family a couple times a year. We just recently starting staying at the Best Western and we love it. The beds are super comfy and we always get a good nights sleep and the breakfast is excellent with plenty of options for all of us. The whole staff is friendly and the hotel is clean also.
This property is well maintained and clean. Would recommend for road weary travelers. Family friendly. Helpful check in attendents. Breakfast provisions quick and filling. good choice for families with small children
I was on a 5-day roadtrip with my teenage kids. Of the 4 places we stayed, this was by far the best. The room was laid out nicely, the bed and pillows were the most comfortable of our journey. The saltwater pool and hot tub were a welcome diversion. The wifi was great. Easy access to dining, shopping, entertainment and travel.
This was our first visit to a BW-Plus hotel and we were more than impressed. It is what a hotel should be. After 5 nights at a ‘no refund' facility, for which we reserved a year in advance because it was a national brand we had trusted, we will not make a ‘no refund' reservation again with that chain.
Great hotel with the best breakfast! The breakfast is different every day and each day is something good. Highly recommend staying here if your in Garden City, Kansas! Room are nice as well and very clean
I truly enjoyed my time here. Everyone was very nice. The room was nice and big and very cool whe we checked in. The room had everything we needed. The pool unfortunately had no heater, but the breakfast more than made up for it. The breakfast was beyond awesome. Everything was delicious from the eggs to the biscuits and gravy to the French toast. The milk was ice cold!!!
Dedinf was dirty with shoe mark on it like it hadn't been washed. The staff was rude, and pool was down. No notice of pool being broke. When we checked in or reserved the room and the pool was the big selling point on where to stay.
So I wake up at 3am on my second night here scratching at my arms that were suddenly covered in big, red bug bites, turned on the light and found a bed bug on my covers!! I went to the front desk immediately, they put me in a new room immediately , I checked out at 8:00am and they have the gall to try and charge me for each night??? I brought it up and they said they can only give me a 1-night credit. The fact that they didn't immediately do that and I had to fight with them on it is insane! Honestly, the fact that they didn't credit my whole stay is crazy. How can I trust the new room didn't have bed bugs?? What if they're now in my stuff and I'm going home? What then?? Terrible customer service in that aspect. I wouldn't risk staying here if I were you! Goodness forbid you wake up with those bites and they don't credit you anything. Absolutely ridiculous. I was in room 320, just as a heads up to anyone who doesn't heed my warning. Where there is 1 bed bug in the open, there are always more hiding.
My wife and I spent the night here to have an easy day of driving on to Denver the following day. A very pleasant stay. The bed was very, very firm and not quite as comfortable as the bed we stayed in the previous night at another Best Western, but it was ok. The breakfast more than made up for it! The lady that was stocking the breakfast area was absolutely on point! Everything was hot, fresh and kept filled. The eggs were done and not runny, the potatoes perfect and the gravy hot and tasty. She was one really hard and efficient worker.
I stayed here twice whiling traveling to and from Phoenix, Arizona. After driving 15 hours and arriving late (about 11pm each time) Donita was very helpful in setting me up in a room. The room was spacious and very clean as was the rest of the establishment. Estelle worked hard at keeping the breakfast area clean and spotless. There was a variety of food and fruit which was fresh and abundant. She and her helper, Jasmin I believe, were wonderful to talk to. I was so very Incredibly pleased with my stay here (my first vacation in just over 10 years) although, finding my way to entrance is a bit tricky, to be honest. I am planning another trip to Phoenix in August and I intend to stay here again due to the helpful staff and the wonderful decor throughout the building.
confusing on how to get to entrance. of hotel booked double room got assigned single room had receipt that showed what we booked they did get it changed it took a while. the room was average. would stay with them again.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was helpful. When not running the bar. Hire a bartender already. Other than the front desk having to play bartender also it was a very good experience. Dryers in guest laundry are a joke. 4 dollars and 2 hours later my clothes were still pretty wet
I was impressed with motel as soon as I walked in. It seemed very clean which is important to me!! Lori upgraded my Husband to a suite immediately without asking since he is a Diamond member and she knew on a Saturday night they would be booked up. Only down fall was the bar was closed because of a new employee but that is understandable. We definitely would stay here again! We walked to Tequilas Mexican Restraunt which was amazing!!
Had a problem with room reservations upon check-in. 3 of us complained at different times and manager asked us to leave hotel. Then she called the police to “evict” us at about 10:30 on a Friday night. (We had already paid and been in rooms for about 5 hours.) Police visited, and were surprised at there being no situation. They had been called to “evict” my 82 and 81 year old parents, my sisters and myself, 60s and 50-something. You think the police have nothing better to do on a Friday night in this crazy world? Manager Lori was even trying to train a new employee. Hopefully Manager Lori gets some training on her own, like how to live after being fired.
they accept service animals but I did not feel that they really want service animals at this hotel. even though I made my reservation directly with the hotel, I did not feel welcomed. the hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice. they should have put trash bags in the outside trash container by the exit door for my room, it did not have a bag for several days.
We came over Easter weekend and the motel was wonderful! It's a beautiful motel and has beautiful rooms and indoor pool. The service was amazing as well! There are many places to shop and eat very close to the motel!
Best Western is not always my first choice. However, my stay at the Best Western Plus in Garden City exceeded ll of my expectations. The room and common areas are exceptionally clean, great water pressure in shower, comfortable beds, quiet location, bar is open. Sandra at the front desk gave me a WOW moment after we were both struggling with my internet connection. We exhausted all options and I walked away discouraged. Several minutes later she came and found me and gave me some new info to log in, I tried it and it worked. She clearly was not satisfied that she could not help me and she kept on trying until she found the solution, she saved my work weekend!
This has been the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at, and I have been to many. From the cleanliness, to the staff, to the breakfast, EVERYTHING was amazing! Lori the front desk manager was exceptional and made my stay great! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! Thank You!
I always stay in BW Plus hotels and this was probably the worst one. Breakfast options limited, elevator not working, limited pool hours, uncensored music playing throughout hotel, and tv was not working in the room. Just everything was not up to the typical standard.
They place a $100.00 per night hold on your CC in addition to the room charge and take 3-5 days and act of congress to get it back. This is WAY too high compared to many other bestwestern and choice hotels that do not charge that. Had I known beforehand I'd would have stayed elsewhere.
I stayed four days here when my truck was in the shop getting fixed over the weekend. The staff was top of the line. The rooms were clean and I'm talking CLEAN CLEAN! These folks that work here really do work hard to make your stay here is the best it can be. The breakfast in the morning is awesome too! A great variety of food. Honestly the best breakfast I've found at a hotel before. The bar is fairly priced although slightly limited. The pool is a nice touch. It will work well for a family or two to swim at the same time. One member of staff I wanted to shout out is Lori. If you ever find yourself here I can promise you she will make your stay here as comfortable as possible and will hold a great conversation! The one thing I think the hotel should invest in would be an outdoor lounge. *A few tips* 1. The hotel next door to the north is NOT the same hotel so make sure you go to the right one when you go to check in. 2. It is cheaper to rent a car than to use the taxi service in this town. 3. Keep a little cash on you a few places have a higher card limit on purchases.
Clean hotel, great rooms, comfortable bed and pillows. Pool, Bar, breakfast, and mini store located on the premises. The staff was friendly and courteous. Lori, the manager, was fantastic and quite helpful. Great hotel!
Great comfortable stay at this Best Western! Minor issue with elevator not going down from second floor. Lori was great and made check in for our 4 rooms fast and professional. Rooms were nice and clean and very quiet during the night. We will be staying here any time we have to stay in the area!
I was extremely impressed with the Best Western in Garden City KS. The entire staff made my short stay very enjoyable. The hotel was located in a convenient area for my main reason for travel and for the various dining locations in Garden City. If I'm back this way I will again stay at this Best Western.
This is a very nice hotel. We were very satisfied that they had a full breakfast, open pool and fitness center. The services from employees were stellar. I will stay at this hotel chain again in the future
if you looking a hotel to stay in Garden City KS this is the Best i would recommend to anyone Room are Big & Clean Quit Location too,, Breakfast its a Buffet They are too many Selection to pick the Staff are friendly too
This is what you expect from a Best Western Plus. The lobby has a coffee bar this is available all day as well as a bar and lounge area to just hang out in. The room was clean, well lit, and had plenty of outlets. For a business traveler you will not find a better option in Garden City. I was here on a business trip and had multiple computer monitors allowing me to work after meetings and there was never an issue with outlets or quality of the internet. There is also a wide selection of restaurants and a wal-mart within a 5 minute radius. My only mistake was booking a different hotel for my other two nights, I will never stay anywhere else but here when I travel to Garden City.
The Best Western in Garden City was clean, decorated well, and the staff was amazing! I would recommend the Best Western Plus Emerald Inn and Suites in Garden City, Kansas to anyone who appreciates great service and comfortable accommodations for a fair price.
I had to travel for work. I normally stay at Best Western Plus, wherever I go. I loved my stay! The staff were all nice and polite and very helpful. It was nice and quiet. Make sure you go for breakfast. The staff that take care of breakfast was a wonderful delight to chat with. She was very helpful and remembered me everyday.
This hotel is located close to shopping, eating, & activities. Beds are very comfortable, good view and quiet. Vanessa was a bright spot every morning making sure we had what we needed for our room. Estrella was such a delight providing wonderful homemade salsa, hot food, clean area for breakfast. Leah and Mark gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. Definitely will stay again!
This was the nicest Best Western hotel we stayed in. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Public areas were very nice and clean. Breakfast was good with lots of option - biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pastries and dry cereals. Coffee was decent. A little tough to find. It's behind the Taco Bell.
Excellent hotel and service, during a time where cleanliness is everything, Best Western goes above and beyond to make sure your well taken care of. The hotel and rooms were extremely clean, they offered breakfast, and their customer service was the best I've ever experienced.
Beautiful hotel, clean, staff very attentive. Breakfast choices excellent and attendant very helpful and efficient. Real dishes and mugs - not paper. A pancake making machine cranking out perfect, hot pancakes! Swimming pool clean. Our favorite hotel so far on a trip across country,
The hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was great! Why only three stars? Because the walls are thin. We heard every noise from the room above us. We stayed two nights, one week apart, and had the same experience each night!
One of the best night's sleep on our trip. Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was in excellent condition, spotlessly clean. In fact we actually thought the hotel was new. We didn't make it in time for breakfast but the staff let us eat anyway. Very pleasant experience all the way.
Best Of the Best Western Hotels I have stayed. Lovely from the moment you enter. Exceptional customer service. Extremely comfortable rooms, beds and pillows. Love the ceiling fan in room. Breakfast is hot and outstanding. I will always go out of my way to stay there.
The hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly an helpful. Great hot breakfast. Nice pool (saltwater pool) and hot tub area with a bathroom. One of the best exercise rooms I've experienced while traveling
The hotel was great. The staff was friendly. We had 5 in our group the room had a sofa bed. Large rooms. The breakfast was wonderful and the attendant kept it well stocked. She was very friendly. They have fresh brewed coffee instead of out of a machine like several locations have went to. Horrible coffee out of machines.
This hotel is in tip top shape with the most modernized amenities. Air conditioning was very efficient. TV had lots of channels. Beds were super clean, white and expertly made. Thank you room service staff! Special breakfasts aside normal fare was a cool feature! Nice, clean atmosphere. All in all, my favorite Best Western this year!
I would not stay at this hotel. They do not let their reservation desk know about issues, such as elevators are broken. It was too late for us to cancel our reservation and they did not even offer us a refund or another free night. If it wasn't 11pm, I would have left and found another hotel!
Extremely comfortable, wonderful amenities, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, strong WiFi, very nice staff. Excellent value. Will definitely stay again! Sheets were very soft. Breakfast included eggs, delicious sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and great coffee! A+++!!!
After several stays in Best Western Hotels...this location is the nicest and we feel has was the best stay for my wife and me. Second time that we've stayed here. We were both impressed with the quality of the free breakfast served in the lobby. Nice job!
Took the kids down for a baseball tournament. Ended up checking in a day earlier than the rest of the team and the front desk was very accommodating. The kids and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, pool and fitness room. Beds were comfortable and the ceiling fan was nice touch.
Recognition of your rewards members at check in. Have stayed in this hotel several times and was in the system at the time. Checked in by direct call to BW hotel. I made the mistake of being use to sign in staff taking care of discounts, best room rate etc. Not the case this time. Up on receiving my quick checkout I I found I had been charged full house rate for my room. That morning their was no qualified staff available to assist me in my high the rate questions. Wait staff from the kitchen listened to my disappointment of rate for the room but had no way of helping me. Had a good breakfast as usual. In my 20+ years of being an awards member I have NEVER been charged the full rate. I still have close to 200000 points plus several BW charge cards to use up and discounts. I now know not to trust BW at check in. Over the years I have found calling the BW web site is a pain in the a** to use. I use Booking much better site and very informative and have never had a problem when booking a BW through Booking.
The Best Western Emerald Inn and Suites is excellent. We have not been able to travel as in past years but this motel exceeded our expectations. There was nothing that did not please us. The breakfast room was perfect and rivaled pre-Pandemic offerings. Del Chausse, Paso Robles, California
Guys, this hotel is both comfortable and beautiful but the breakfast is where it's at!!!! Estela made HOMEMADE salsa and it was SO good!!! Reminded myself and my husband of his mom's salsa and that says a lot! Her service was tops!! She was so friendly and helpful and super attentive to any and all our needs! The place was so clean and made us feel at home. If you're passing through this area, this is the place to stay!
Lori provided excellent service, getting our group checked in quickly, handling a variety of requests all with a smile. Highly reccommend. Beautiful updated hotel, hot breakfast bar and staff were phenomenal.
Everything was awesome. This was the best Best Western I've ever stayed in. Beautiful spacious very clean King Suite at a reasonable price. Excellent firm mattress with pillow top. 2 tvs. Great Breakfast, biscuits, gravy, eggs sausage and the usual cold fair too. Very nice cook. Great people at the front desk at check in and out. Easily the best hotel of our 14 day trip
Very inviting atmosphere when entering. You could smell the clean. Rooms were clean with a comfy bed & a ceiling fan! Our family enjoyed the pool and hot tub area which was very nice. They also served post COVID breakfast (yay!) with a good variety. Staff very helpful & friendly.
We stayed one night at this wonderful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location worked well for us - we enjoyed the proximity to Parrot Cove. The hotel was nicely decorated and clean. The swimming pool and hot tub were a hit. Pricing was good. We will return!
Came to Garden City with friends to play golf. Hotel is located very conveniently to stores and restaurants in the area as well as highways to the golf courses. Great price for a very nice hotel. Comfortable bed and nice quality towels etc.
This hotel was clean with pleasant decor. The room was a bit dark with the lighting not very strong, but the beds were comfortable and everything worked great. The kitchen staff, Estela, was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive, super friendly and approachable, and made my stay there welcoming. She kept the dining area clean at all times and provided the same friendly and prompt service to every guest I saw who came for breakfast. We had great conversation and if I stay here again, I look forward to seeing her again!
There was no mask enforcement of any kind, even though there was signage throughout the hotel claiming to require proper face coverings in all common/shared spaces. Don't come here if you're at all concerned about pandemic safety because they don't care.
[Chorus] i beg your pardon, i was a guest at best western garden city kansas was fine a little pricey but i had good time when you stay you gotta give more money to live quid pro quo not on skid row i played my part in paying for nicest hotel in garden [Verse 1] city promised me things like free breakfast brings modified to grab and go in these times of covid I however passed it over well if sweet tea and coffee tempting time flew they would give me the works right now on a silver platter pancake waffle batter [Pre-Chorus] but no silverware and large groups no sorry till the pandemic subsides probably i overslept right through the breakfast oh man! [Chorus] I beg your pardon the pictures promised me shooting fountain along with the divine cable tv i watch to pass the time with Dolly Pardon and cnn congressman Ben Cardin
We selected this accommodation based on reviews we read online while in route to Garden City. Our high expectations were completely satisfied. We wish in particular to recognize the great service provided by the front desk person Janeth! She provided exceptional service on the phone before arriving, when checking us in after our arrival, and the next morning when checking us out.
There was mold on walls, I paid $239 dollars for a room that had terrible carpet damage and it was just a disaster I went to talk to from desk employee at check out and seemed to me that employee didn't really care
Best hotel in Garden City! The hotel looks new, pleasant decor, modern feel. It's very clean and very quiet! Best part they have a small bar/lounge and serve wine, beer and mixed drinks and can take them to your room if desired.
We've stayed at many hotels and this was by far our best experience ever. The staff was courteous, helpful & prompt. The hotel was immaculate inside & out. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool, hotel and area was clean and in good working order. The breakfast was actually good! (shocking since so many are just blah) We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area, we will be for sure!
I stayed one night and, after having a positive experience, it will be the first of many more to come. I plan to be in the area every month or two and will look no further than the Best Western Plus in Garden City.
This hotel is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It's also a great place for the city it's located in. The amenities are great!! Even with covid, you can get a HOT breakfast. The bar is small but still good. Their pool and jacuzzi are so nice. I'm thinking it's salt water. The water was so clean. Our room was so nice and roomy. The shower was great. It felt real good after the road trip. It was very clean. If you have a chance, come to Garden City, KS and stay at this hotel.
Very helpful and willing to help. Would stay if Lori was working anytime. Only Lori. Lori was very good at multi tasking working the front desk and the bar. The hotel was kept clean. I would definitely come again
I always stay at this hotel when in Garden City. I travel for work and am in hotels about 70 nights out of the year. This place is by far one of the best places to stay in Western Kansas as well as Eastern Colorado.
my stay was great. Very nice set up walking in. Check in was a smooth process. Help me get sign up for rewards. Rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was up scale then most hotel. The only thing I have to say is that I was happy with everything.
It was very clean, internet worked well. Breakfast and coffee was amazing. Estela was excellent in the mornings, she was so kind and welcoming it was a great way to start every day! The bar was beautiful and really well decorated for the season.
Awesome clean and spacious rooms. Close by food and shopping. Whole family loved the pool and hot tub. Staff was very friendly and the made to order breakfast was super nice. The lobby and meeting area were very luxurious feeling providing a warm and come on in welcome home vibe.
Lori was great. The hotel is really nice. Highly recommend this hotel. Since I have to use at least 200 characters to leave a review I will keep typing. If in Garden City I suggest that you stay here.
Excellent and clean hotel. The breakfast lady was wonderful and very friendly!! I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for business travel. Lots of lights and secure parking lot. The highlight of my stay was the staff.
Nicely decorated lobby and rooms; a step above for this class of hotel. Location near highway, easy to access but a little noisy. Bed was comfortable, shower/bath were small but clean and comfortable.
Beautiful hotel, close to retail and dinning. Excellent room and very clean throughout the hotel. Excellent amenities and beautiful decor. Check in and out process was very easy. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Very nice hotel that has a hot breakfast and swimming pool and hot tub. Comfy bed! Softened water. Very nice. We loved it. They sold snack foods at the front desk which were very handy if you are too tired to go out to find dinner.
Front desk, cook and cleaning people were really courteous with us and try to make our stay comfortable, the cook even ask us how we want our meal to be prepare and the guy front desk try helping with everything he could
An unexpected road trip pleasure!! Highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again!! Service was wonderful with a welcoming and helpful staff!! Directions and info on local establishments proved quite helpful!! Excellent workout facility with including free weights with machines!! Thank you to the entire staff! Thanks Mark!
We stayed for a week and had a wonderful week. Each day we were greeted by Estel for breakfast, her burritos are amazing! We were out of town from FL and we were so appreciative of her service and making us feel so welcome! Housekeeping was sure to make sure everything was clean and orderly in each part of the hotel. It was such a wonderful experience and we are so grateful for the staff!
I last stayed here in 2017 and I'm glad to say nothing has changed! The staff is still amazing and the facility is still beautiful and well cared for, and as an extended stay guest - this trip was 9 weeks - those are huge factors! Mark, Sandra, Lynne, and Lexi at the front desk always have a smile and take the time to ask about my day. Morning breakfast with Estella is always a great start to the day (and at the time of this review she was having to deal with Covid-19 restrictions and STILL made breakfast great!) .
Called ahead to verify an early checkin or later checkout ... checked in at 5am and told check out would be the next day ... was awakened at exactly 11am same day by knock on door ... left to check out at 3pm and found they decided to charge me for 2 days without telling me ... told to talk to manager in a couple days ... i will have bank reverse charge.
Wonderful place to stay! Very clean and the staff were all great! We stayed for 9 days and each day the complimentary breakfast from Estella, the kind lady in the kitchen ( her breakfast cooking and the salsa!) was definitely something to get out of bed for.
Hotel was really nice. The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Nice location near stores and restaurants. Plentiful parking. Lobby is relaxing with water features. Bathroom had modern square shower head and soft towels.
Beautiful facility. I enjoyed working out and it was relaxing. My room smelled wonderfiul and clean. Great Staff too, Very welcoming. Kudos to hispanic lady in charge of breakfast. She was always asking if there was something she could get you.
I had a great room with sofa, 2 queen beds, 2 TVs. Room had microwave & fridge. Beds very comfortable and shower strong and hot. Breakfast buffet great - everything I could want including fresh fruit. Fitness center open 24hrs so I could actually use it early before work (limited at other hotels) and machines/weights/etc all in great shape and well maintained (worked good). Pool & hot tub good temperatures and clean. Have coffee and tea bar in lobby all day long. Perfect hotel for me on business trip. Was off main room and hard to see its sign of where to turn in so missed turn 1st time but overall a great, quiet location with lots of parking.
Great experience, the staff and the facilities were fantastic only to be surpassed by the incredible complimentary breakfast, complete with: Eggs, bacon, two types of sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, french toast, pastries, hot & cold cereals, toast & muffins, grits, juices & fruits of all kinds and great coffee that was served 24/7 and even in the room which in our case was a suite that included a jacuzzi in the bedroom and in the bath, an enormous shower that could easily hold a half dozen people. It included two shower heads which was a real treat. Did we have a good experience ?---YES Would we recommend it?---YES Would we come back?--- You better believe it!!!
I have stayed at this Best Western 2 or 3 times and it is always a positive experience. The rooms and common areas are always clean and tidy. It has the best and most complete fitness rooms I have seen at a hotel of this level. The breakfast is always diverse and delicious. The breakfast manager, Estela, goes above and beyond, clearing plates when you're done, making sure guests have everything they need, and generally being very friendly.
The entire hotel was immaculate, Estelle in the breakfast room in the mornings was also fantastic, social, personable, a breath of fresh air. The exercise room was about the most complete that we've ever seen in a hotel, and we look for this while traveling, as we always exercise....
With all the choices for hotels in Garden City, Kansas we were blessed with making the right choice. Words are not sufficient to share what a place this is. We travel cross country a lot and this is by far one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The reviews on Travelocity were 4.8 out of 5 for this “new” hotel. And believe me, it looks brand new so we can understand why guests write that in their reviews. So we were surprised when we found out it was 5 years old. The staff is amazing. Our welcome at the front desk was warm and genuine. We so wish we could remember her name, she is a new grandma of a 4 month little girl! The room was spacious, immaculate and beautifully appointed. The gym was quite large for a hotel with everything you could want. Breakfast was amazing with a large assortment of hot and cold selections. Tuesday is omelets cooked to order by Estelle. She runs the breakfast bar and is personality plus. Warm and welcoming, she made our day! She even makes homemade salsa for the eggs, so delicious we encouraged her to bottle it, truly! She has been there since the hotel opened, what does that tell you? We were fortunate to meet her boss as we left today. He feels lucky to have great staff, well we know it starts at the top, right! Our only disappointment is we were only staying one night! Thank you Estelle for making an overnight stay memorable in the very best way! We will see you again! Do yourself a favor, make this your home away from home.
This is my favorite Best Western Hotel. And, I stayed at probably 15 different ones this year alone. Great decor and service. Pool and hot tub best I've seen. Breakfast served up by Estella is out of this world. See attached photo for the breakfast menu the morning I ate there recently.
Every time I stay at his hotel, I am very satisfied. They have come to know me by name, check in and out is very simple and quick. The room and staff never dissapoints, and the bed sleeps very well and the room is always very clean.
This is a fist class hotel. It is squeaky clean, wonderfully decorated and very quiet. Possibly the only hotel on our trip where we did not hear conversations from the room next door. The shower was also awesome. Breakfast was excellent and even had REAL oatmeal with toppings available. (Especially great for a vegan.)
Garden City has the best Best Western motel In all of Kansas. In general overall you can't find a better better place to spend the night than at a Best Western. The food is always great the rooms are clean and the help is top in the industry. If you want to nitpick I suppose that even I could find something to complain about. Overall having stayed over onehundred nights in motels over the last year I still chose Best Western when ever possible.
This hotel was so clean and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with homemade items and the breakfast staff was so helpful and made sure we had what we needed. We had a suite for this trip because it was a couple days long, it was very nice and roomy. The hot tub was wonderful and work out room was very large and lots of equipment.
We stayed at this property overnight while traveling across country. AMAZING! Truly a high end look and feel, from front desk, lobby, and rooms. Breakfast was exceptional, including extras like dishware and silverware. Each staff member of property take ownership in their job in providing excellent service.
Awesome experience...staff friendly....actually breakfast with plates, silverware.....oatmeal was the best ever. Safe area for my Dailey walk. Will stay there every time I'm in the area THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF
We found this hotel on our way to California. Best Western is our go to for hotels and this one was on the way. Looks brand new inside and out. Staff at check in was very helpful with suggestions for dinner. Breakfast was very good a step above most.
Great hotel with wonderful staff. We thought the hotel was brand new with how well kept it is (6 yrs old). Front desk staff accommodating. Would recommend this hotel to all travelers. Breakfast was hot, rooms super clean, everything worked as should. Staff shared good options for dining.
This is a beautiful and modern hotel with a lovely exterior and entrance. Everything was pleasant and clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated and comfortable with nice quality toiletries. I highly recommend!!
The staff were excellent and provided great service. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and they serve a very nice breakfast. We were in town for the wedding of our son in May and had a number of rooms. We really could not have been treated better!
Toilet seat was broken, disconnected on side, broken off. The first time I sat down it twisted badly. Reported it within 15 minutes of getting into room. They said it would be morning before fixing. Fine we left in morning to go visit family. Came back at 2:30 and it still wasn't fixed. She then offered to change room because it would be 4 pm before they could fix. We had a wedding to go to at 3:30 and did NOT have time for that. She promised it would be fixed at 4. I came in around 9pm and saw a young man coming out of our room with the empty box of new lid. That is terrible to take that long for a 15 minute job. The maid should have reported it before we were even in the room.
This hotel is very clean and staff was so friendly, especially Sandra at check in and the bar. Very nice!!We will stay here again when we travel to Garden City. Breakfast is very good, decor is beautiful!
I continue to be amazed at this Best Western in Garden City. I travel to many Best Western Hotels in the SouthWest and Garden City sets the highest standard among and hotel I have stayed in. They surprised me even more when they partnered with the Country Club just south of town for sandwiches delivered to the hotel or dining at the club house. The steaks on Tuesday night are perfect and the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. Upper class move Best Western. I cannot stop with mentioning Senora Estella with a big smile and good morning breakfast and Sandra at the front desk who always has a great smile and “Welcome back Mr Sweeney!”
This was our third time staying here. The rooms are so clean and very quiet. It's a beautiful hotel. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of choices. Very friendly people working there. Will be back!
This property is a model for all BW affiliated properties in terms of excellence in customer recognition and management of their property. Attention to detail is evident from the check in process, the cleanliness of the carpets in the hallways to the decor and detailing in guest rooms. Simple a superior experience!
I did not know what to expect when I called to book this room. Mark answered the phone and I instantly knew I made the right choice. The facility was clean and inviting from the very beginning. The room was so pretty and clean as well. I'm a very picky person so when I say it was clean, well, it was clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful from check in to check out. I felt like I could count on them at every turn. I will recommend this place to friends and I will return to stay again.
This is likely the nicest Best Western property in their corporate group. I always stay here when I come to Garden City. Thee BEST complimentary Breakfast buffet you will find in this level of hotel anywhere. Real dishes and silverware! Fresh flavorful offerings and the ultimate homemade salsa. Estela and Naomi run the kitchen and there is pride quality and cleanliness at every turn. Nice bar/lounge in the lobby. Beautiful pool area. Beds, linens and pillows are great and rooms are very nicely appointed overall. Mark, the manager is super responsive and professional. Well priced for the value received. I travel constantly and this one is a winner.
all five stars here, great rooms and cable TV selection, above average breakfast, and great service from all, makes you feel at home, very clean and has newer Best Western decor, easy access to fast food, tell Mark we sent you
I have stayed at this location many times and it never is dissapointing. I travel for work and this is one of the best places in southwestern Kansas. The entire hotel is very clean and modern. You must try the fresh salsa on the breakfast bar, very tasty.
Traveling from far west Colorado to Wichita, KS. Staying in Garden City allowed us a getaway in the western part of the state. With the salt water pool & hot tub and free breakfast, it allowed my family a relaxing experience after a long car ride. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in western Kansas.
Great Hospitality and great atmosphere breakfast was wonderful and the staff were amazing also excellent work to the staff and housekeeping also i had positive vibes and amazing service all together for my stay
This was the first time we had stayed at this location as our usual hotel was booked. It did not disappoint! The hotel is decorated in a fun and somewhat contemporary style and is very clean. The rooms were very nice and the hot breakfast changes on a daily basis. I think we might have found a new favorite!
This is the best chain motel/hotel our family has stayed at in quite some time. It's exceptionally clean, and our rooms were very comfortable. The facility is close to restaurants and stores and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Growing up best western wasn't a "bad" motel but it wasn't the 4 seasons either. Wow when I walked in I was shocked! What best western was this!? I had been on the road for the better half of 7 hours and was tired. Great staff. The breakfast was awesome. Very just Zen and relaxing. Like can I just permanently live here? What hotel has ceiling fans?! This one and it was great. My only complaint the bathtub didn't hold water. I definitely will be back to BW when I travel.
This was probably the best place I have ever stayed. Perfect for anything from business to just a short staycation wonderful staff and beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for the great hospitality.
I typically seek out Best Western Hotels while traveling. Being a person who spends up to 200 nights a year in motel/hotels, it's important to me to get the best value for my money. This unit easily achieves the best that Best Western has to offer. Every member of the staff from the General Manager, PJ, to the Front Desk Manager, Mark, to the wonderful Breakfast Room Lady (she'll make you glad you got up today) really get you rolling in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located near many major restaurants and major chain shopping facilities..
We were in town for a wedding and I highly recommend this place. The front desk staff was great. The halls are well lit and the place is spotless. The breakfast was included and pretty decent. Beds were comfortable.
This hotel is fantastic and way superseded my expectations! The rooms are amazing and the hotel is very clean! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. We will be returning to this hotel for a longer stay later this summer! Way to step it up Best Western!
Rooms were clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast cook was the best. She definitely deserves a raise. I arrived for a full weeks stay. The staff kept the room spotless. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you want a positive experience.
And glad we did. Really a nice place. Very clean and very friendly. Close to several dining options. Mark Gerber was very helpful and even became our bartender. We will definitely stay here again when we travel through Kansas.
Not only was the hotel beautifully equipped interior and exterior but the personnel went out of their way to provide directions to the hotel as well as take my reservation from my automobile on the road at the last minute with ease. It was a stormy night and we had to make reservations on the fly. Then Garden City had highway construction. They assisted with both with a smile. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. No negative issues at all.
great place real close to all kinds of restaurants and stores.. beds were great rooms clean lobby and restaurant clean. parking was easy to get to.would be more then happy to book here again, best stay in town.
I travel for business and have stayed at this place several times. The cleanliness of this hotel is excellent, and the staff is always friendly and accomodating. The fitness area far exceeds most hotel fitness rooms. I would strongly recommend you stay here.
Pleasant clean property. Freindly staff. Good breakfast with plenty to eat. Wanted for nothing as they had a lounge and snack shop and cookies. Easy on and off the road. I highly recommend this great hotel.
Needed a room for next day appointment and this was perfect. Great breakfast. Need to check for future visits to see if handicapped rooms are available. Little hard to find in the dark, drove to the other hotel before finding this one.
Was there because my sick Mother was in the hospital there, Upon leaving, found that I was my rooms deadbolt was jammed. Called the front desk, and the young man working only offered to try his keycard to unlock it! (Twice) I asked if I could get out the window and he said, "You can try, but was concerned about damaging the screen! I had to figure out how to remove the screen while he went back inside. It had snowed a lot and was freezing cold. I got out, with no help from him. He stood on the sidewalk and watched me climb out into the snow, and haul my suitcase and purse over the sill! Front desk staff needs to be trained in a situation like this! And should know who to call, if he can't handle the situation! I was a nice Hotel...clean and well decorated. Comfy bed.
Of all the Best Westerns I've stayed in over my life, the one in Garden City does the best job at providing a clean, well-kept, accommodating environment for the guests. Both of my stays have met my needs. The rooms are clean, a good breakfast is prepared, the amenities rival other, more expensive chains. Well done, and keep up the good work!
We stayed just one night as we were in town for a funeral. The staff was very friendly and attentive, especially at breakfast. The food was good. The toilet ran and ran, so we ended up turning off the water to it, and told the front desk the next morning.
Every time my husband and I went back home we stayed here. Even when he ended up paralyzed. They are always so friendly. Now that my husband is gone. My grandkids and I stay here. My grandkids loves the pool and fitness center. Oh yeah and the amazing breakfast they serve. Only down fall is the biscuit and gravy is out of can. Wished it was homemade.
The staff is great very attentive and friendly. At the breakfast area very clean and organized. Estela was very friendly attentive and helpful. Overall the property is very clean. The people working here make it very welcoming.
Room was clean; TV remote did not work but I did not complain because it's just a TV remote; Was offered express check out and said yes for it, receipt never came. Waited at front desk for about 5 minutes until the guest attendant came so I could get my receipt and leave. Overall, very minimal issues with the place. Will stay there again. Staff are human, mistakes will be made. Overall, they did not ruin my stay.
Booked over phoneThey charged a lot more than my friends who booked on line Wouldn't give a receipt Wouldn't take Best Western cardOr. $50 card from Best Western Worst experience everWill not be going back
First, my qualifications for this review-I ran a 40 bed hostel in Chicago and I am a world traveler. Chosen to stay many places based upon the reviews. This was no exception. The order in my mind was saltwater pool, new facilities for cleanliness and internet. When reading the reviews, all I could think about was how exceptional could a breakfast lady be? Oh, above and beyond! I have never encountered someone in the position who takes so much pride in getting your day started right. U will be greeted with a welcoming smile, a varied offering occasionally from the norm and yes-her delicious homemade salsa! I don't even like salsa:) Could there be more healthy selections? Sure! But u won't find more care and thought put into what IS there and what isn't required to be but IS because Estrella cares!!! My interaction with all of the other employees was great too but truly overshadowed by the “breakfast lady”:) I do want to mention that the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning manager seemed to be truly dedicated. I watched him every day turn off and on the lobby lamp at the same time daily and put chemicals in the pool. It's the little things that keep a hotel clean and welcoming. He also made incredible allowances for me to work and watch the sunrise. This will be my go-to choice for our regular return business trips-as long as Estrella is there:)
We were SO surprised to find such and excellent motel in a smaller town. We have stayed at upscale motels in urban areas and none of them were as well-done or well-staffed as this one. Every staff member we met had a smile and was enjoying their work. The decor was very nice and the carpets clean and fresh. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! And the homemade salsa was great! :)
Very nice hotel but expected for a Plus BW. A couple of things...first doors slamming. Very load thru out the early morning hours, second and this seems petty but I am a Platinum member and asked for a bottled water and was told I could buy one. Hummm maybe he misunderstood? Bed nice, room nice, breakfast bar standard fair. I would stay there again.
we stayed on a Thursday night, staff was very friendly. The hotel is clean and modern. Definitely not your average hotel! The breakfast was awesome. Estela makes a homemade salsa that is delicious. I highly recommend.
So glad we stopped here while touring Kansas! We loved the very clean, modern, and fresh facilities, and the staff were all very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast was awesome -- it was great food and very friendly people!
Really enjoyed staying here- the hotel was very modern, the rooms clean, staff kind, etc. However, my favorite part was the breakfast, where the lady in charge was so kind. The food was delicious. :D.
This place is always great. Clean, friendly, priced right. This is the only place I will stay in GC. The lounge is convenient. Breakfast is always good. Staff is really friendly. I've been staying here for 4 years.
The hotel is very new, clean and seems to have a lot more upgrades than your typical Best Western. There was an attention to detail when this property was built. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and Estella's homemade salsa was excellent. Estelle was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would go back and stay there just to see her again. Loved the salsa!
We've stayed at this hotel 4-6 times annually going to and from Colorado. We look forward to each stay knowing the staff, service, cleanliness, and comfort is consistantly top notch. We enjoy the suites, especially when traveling with grandkids, for extra room and 2 tvs.
This was one of my favorite BWPlus hotels yet. The staff and accommodations were first rate. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel decor and furniture was very well thought out for comfort and style. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We had a king suite room, which was very roomy and comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the hotel market (by the front desk) for after hour snacks, and appreciated the lobby coffee and tea. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. This was a very clean, comfortable place to stay.
Everything about this motel was great. Sandra at front desk and Estella at the restaurant were exceptional. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the decor. The pool/spa were nice. Everything was modern, the air clean, quiet, rooms well equipped, specially folded towels, ceiling fans in rooms. One of the best motels we have stayed in and we will stay here if we return to this area. Believe the other great reviews for this motel.
Simply the best. Our second time to stay at this hotel and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The hotel is everything a traveler wants. It's obvious the owner makes customer service and comfort his priority. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and super clean. Did I say clean? Really clean. I couldn't find any detail left undone. Management and staff must love working there because a year after our first visit they were still there!! You know when staff are treated well because it carries over into their customer care and interaction. A big shout out to Mark who is kind and attentive. Another to Stela and the kitchen crew for a delicious breakfast spread each morning made fresh and with a smile. We will be back next year and look forward to another stay with you guys at Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites!! Thank you! Additional comments to TripAdvisor questions: I don't know about dry cleaning services, kids staying free or kids activities. Our kids are 15 and 20. Wasn't too sure how to answer if this is a classic or quaint hotel. It looks new although I know it's been there a few years. It's very attractive, clean and very comfortable.
Everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful. Estella's breakfasts were the best! Rooms were very nice and clean. From the first call to the final reservation, the young man was so helpful. Please consider staying here!
I do not do ratings, but this is a very special place. The rooms are great and the amenities would make you think you are in a Mariott Marquis. Garden City should be proud to have such a wonderful place for business travelers.
Had a great stay with my family at the BWP Emerald Inn last weekend. The hotel was at capacity for much of our stay so we got to see the hotel staff in action. It was always picked up and clean throughout the busy weekend. Breakfast was great and loved they stayed open until 10. The hotel has a very hard working team, Sandra worked every day we were there and she could be found cleaning the pool area, serving drinks, creating great arrival experiences and just about every other task. She always had time to say hi to my son and give us a warm greeting. Theresa the housekeeper serviced the room quickly and did a great job each day we were there as well. Great overall stay.
This hotel receives a 5 from me in every category! Beautiful lobby, adequate parking, accommodating staff, very comfortable beds & pillows, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, exceptional indoor pool & hot tub, and because of health concerns it was great that it was smoke-free AND pet-free!
First stop on our trip and it was a great one. New property with excellent decor. Staff was great checking in and answering questions. Desk person even brought the luggage cart to the door while we moved our car. Room was beautiful and bed comfy. Off the highway so it is nice and quiet. Appears to be a newer area.
We were amazed and impressed by this hotel. The friendly staff (Sandra) took excellent care of us. The entire hotel from floor to ceiling looked brand new and spotlessly clean. The pool had an amazing underwater light show. The gym was top notch. And the bar was just fun with it's window into the pool area. The breakfast with handmade omelette bar was a really nice touch. There were sooo many pretty places to take photos, too! the water walls were really gorgeous. Our kids loved the free cookies and drinks. There is also a nearby public pool/water park that only costs $2 a person and a free zoo! We will definitely come back!
We've stayed at a number of BWPlus hotels in the last 2 years and found this level (Plus) to be consistently good. This one, however, is without a doubt the best one we've stayed in. The lobby and breakfast area were separated with a fireplace and both areas were nicely decorated with plenty of seating. There was even a small bar in the lobby area where one could get an adult beverage. We've not seen this amenity in any other BWPlus. No bartender – front desk staff will assist, but it's still a nice perk. As we began to settle in, we noticed water on the bathroom floor. We called the front desk, and were told someone would be right up with with keys to our ‘new' room…and they were! They even brought us a “goodie” bag with water, soda and snacks to thank us for being so understanding. Wow. Our room was very nice and modern (yea! USB ports!!), including a ceiling fan. Again, never see this in a hotel. Bathroom also modern. BWPlus' attention to detail is so nice – handtowel & washcloths folded creatively (basket, bird, fan, etc.) Cute. Many hotels are no longer providing travel size potions & lotions, but BWPlus still does. And of a high quality which is appreciated. Breakfast area had the morning's menu offerings on a back-lit board. No hard rolls and messy pancake maker here. Although not cooked to order, the menu included eggs, sausage/bacon, hot & cold cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, waffles, pastries, juices, coffee, tea…you get the idea. The area is very nicely appointed, neat and clean. Color-changing LED bubbly water feature on the wall was fun to watch! Estelle, the breakfast lady, was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel – wish all our travel experiences were this positive!
Nice, clean, modern hotel, fantastic breakfast options. Front desk staff could use a bit more training. The lady at the desk at check in needed to call and be walked through how to check us in and she was on duty alone.
I grew up in GC and the growth has amazed me coming back to visit family and Best Western is a 5 Star ***** Hotel from guest checkin and all staff asking if they can get you anything in passing in the lobby, hallway and wow your breakfast team amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. Thanks Best Western of GC, I can honestly say being a KS Girl. “There is no place like home!!!”???????????? Jacqueline Perez
Really up-to-date hotel. Neat and clean rooms like you expect from Best Western. They have salt water pool (hot tub may be too). Wonderful pool decor. Best I've seen at any Best Western I've stayed at (30+ different ones). Great breakfast. Bar open in evening. I've stayed here before and will do so again in the future.
Estela the breakfast lady was a beautiful smile and and great good morning every start to the day. Wonderful stay for business while attending the Garden City Ammonia Program, Very nice hotel. P.s.- she even made my omelet perfectly
This is a very nice, clean, new, quiet hotel. We spent a very enjoyable evening there and also enjoyed the recommendation to eat dinner at Samy's Steakhouse. I really want to compliment Estela who provides the breakfast in the morning. Today, she was making omelets to order, and also served her homemade salsa along with. I believe I overheard her say that on Wednesdays she would make breakfast burritos. Anyway, she goes above and beyond the typical servers in hotel breakfast areas and I wanted to make sure she received her props.
All very nice except for occasional knocking noise from bathroom. Not loud, though. Just a little annoying . Breakfast burritos very good, but not enough of them. Staff nice. Very clean room. Lots of good coffee.
This hotel is beautiful inside and out. Very modern looking. Check in was quick, nice friendly staff. The beds were really comfortable. Nice amenities in the room. Overall great hotel, impressed with it.
We have stayed here a few times over the years and it's still our pick to stay in the town. We stayed for one night - there is plenty of parking and the hotel has a slightly elevated position giving it good views across the area. Reception was friendly and we were soon in our room. It was spacious, modern and very clean. The bathroom is a bit smaller than average but that means the living space is larger. Can't fault it - we will be back if in the area again!
This is a very nice hotel; only about three years old, in good condition, and tastefully done. It was very clean and well cared for; we never saw staff just standing around, and they seem to sweat the details. Though the second floor room was very quiet, we still had an issue with sleeping well, as the A/C would stay on so long it would get cold, and then stay off so long it would get warm. To compound the issue, the beds just have a sheet, and a very thick top cover; they need an intermediate, lighter blanket.
Having just completed the fourth leg of two cross country road trips since September I've stayed at a number of hotels, most of them Best Westerns. Its clear that theres a huge range in quality and service but this hotel in Garden City is amongst the best Ive stayed at this year. Ranking very highly next to Best Westerns in Kearney NE and Santa Fe NM. The look and fee of the Emerald Inn & Suites was smart bright and well kept. It appears to be a fairly new building which helps but it is also very well managed and maintained. The receptionist I met at check in was very efficient and friendly offering details of all of the hotels facilities in a clear and coherent narrative that put me in a good place from the outset. The appearance of the lobby is clean and things are well positioned, signage is good and it felt very welcoming. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Above all though the breakfast was excellent. Both in its range of items and in the quality of things being offered. There was oatmeal freshly made! Fruit and good quality yogurt. Plus the service was with real plates and metal cutlery. A great place to stay overall! Thanks!
This property was not only one of the nicest Best Western properties I have stayed at in years, it was one of the nicest hotels. The property was in such good shape it seemed brand new and the beds/bedding were extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The fitness center was as good as any gym, not just three pieces of equipment in a small room like some hotels. I would recommend this property to anyone going through Garden City and there are many other hotels to choose from. This is the best!!!!
We were a traveling church group, so we had kids from age 11 - 18 and 5 adults. We had 5 rooms. Everything went really well! One of the showers/tubs didn't drain, but out of 5 rooms, that was the only complaint. This is a newer hotel, so everything was in good working order. We usually stay at Best Westerns when we travel and this was one of the nicest we've been to. Good value, great hotel!
Great Hotel. Everything was clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again, especially since the price was pretty decent for the amenities we received. Breakfast was very well stocked, and, delicious, as this saved us so much time, since we did not have to go somewhere else to eat
We drove into town after a cold day on our harley. We arrived before check-in time and were able to go to our room anyway. We were able to order in food and then go down to the hot tub to warm up. It was nice and relaxing. Everything about our stay was great. The shower head, the bed, the breakfast...would definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel, excellent rooms, in-room Kuerig - home away from home! Lobby has coffee and snacks 24 hours a day. Rooms were spacious, for the first time ever I did not have to ask for extra towels for my family. Most hotels have 2-3 towels and we always need 3-4 so it is the first thing I check everywhere we go. Beds were kinda high but very comfortable! Rooms had ceiling fans - our room even had a sofa bed and that area had it's own dedicated ceiling fan and TV. Nice breakfast - variety of options.
This inn could match any I've stayed in. Even though Garden City is a rather small city this Best Western was right up there with ones in larger metro areas. Rooms were very clean. Other areas of motel were well kept. Friendly staff. Good job.
My stay was a pretty typical one, nice front desk attendant and calm lobby. The only downside to my arrival was that they seemed understaffed because the front desk attendant (who was very kind and helpful) was hard to find. I had to wait around awhile when I arrived and when I went to get a drink from the bar it took a very long time to get assistance and it was from the same person. After that my stay was very nice, the room was clean and comfy. Just keep in mind if you stay in Garden City it is VERY WINDY all the time! I slept alright but was woken up by the wind in the morning. Be careful walking around wearing a hat, mine blew off once but I caught it! Everyone is very kind at the hotel (hard to find sometimes) and my stay was a good one.
This was very possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in short of a luxury resort, and was a great experience. The hotel is very, very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby, lounge and breakfast area are very nice and the breakfast was extremely good and the attendant took great care of us. It was a very pleasant stay and I will stay here again any time I am in this area.
This fairly new facility is lavishly decorated and lacks none of the "cold" feeling of so many new structures. I can't think of anything negative to say about our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, breakfast was good as was service, good location on the northeast part of town, and we enjoyed our stay.
This hotel looks brand new! Check in was busy....and a little slow....one person working the counter.....others were sitting.... Rooms are very nice....and have a ceiling fan....great!!! Bar in lobby....great breakfast! Used laundry facilities....nice and clean...but TV did not work! If in the area again....would return!
Rude front desk attendant. Nice enough rooms but there was a recurring banging within the bathroom wall every 5-30 seconds so I hardly slept. Breakfast is the only reason this place receives a 2 rating.
Everyone was nice but i really enjoyed talking to Estela the breakfast lady her burritos and her home made salsa was delisiosa she deserves a raise to keep up the good work i will definitely come back for sure
Room was perfect -clean and well maintained. Breakfast, was wonderful as well. Our children loved the pool and attached hot tub. EVERYONE was friendly, and VERY accommodating. Wonderful weekend - we'll be back!!
The hotel was very nice and the staff was nice enough except when another guest vomited in the pool and the “weekend/holiday” staff advised us there was no one to address this issue until the following day. I might have understood if the hotel would have closed the pool to clean up but seemed unconcerned and allowed unsuspecting guests to swim at their own risk.
Mother was scheduled for early AM doctor appt. We chose to spend the night rather than get up at 3 am for a 2 hour drive from our home. We have stayed here before with our grandsons. We come to Garden City during the summer to watch the Garden City Wind Professional Baseball Team.
This is a very nice and newer hotel tucked in behind the Holiday Inn Express. Great check-in experience. Very nice rooms with plenty of plug-ins. We really appreciated the breakfast on real plates and not on paper plates. The staff had even prepared breakfast burritos which was very tasty. Very nice pool and jacuzzi.
Our stay was a last minute late night stop. Reserving the room over the phone was simple and check in was fast. The room layout worked great for us. The breakfast was awesome!! Sausage, eggs, breakfast burritos, fruit, cereal, pastries!! Super staff!!
Good clean place to stay, a bit pricey for what you actually get. Housekeeping could use a little training but overall good experience. I'd stay again at a cheaper rate. I'd rate it a solid 7 out of 10
This hotel is new and is doing all the big and little things quite well. Easy parking access, not particularly good walking access to surrounding area but lots of options with a very short drive. Located on eastern side of Garden City. Nice breakfast area but a full hotel could make the breakfast seating tight. An electric outlet is available for those with plug-in hybrid or electric vehicles, but bring your own charger and cable.
Overall, nothing bad to say about our stay, it was just a one-night trip but we enjoyed the feel and comfort the minute we walked in to minute we went down for the night. The morning breakfast was hot and VERY good. A lot of choices and certainly one I would recommend. The staff was very good and we didn't encounter any issues at check-in or check-out. Thank you Garden City!
This hotel was a bit tricky to find off the interstate with my navigation, but once arriving it is lovely. We were late check-ins and the front desk gal was friendly and accommodating. We have a room on the 3rd floor and the rooms are lovely, contemporary furnishings and comfortable. The beds and pillows comfortable. Now for the complaint, and to be worth knocking off two "stars". With the lovely decorating, which is ceramic tile in the entry and bathroom area, looks lovely but the minute we walked in, we could see the disgusting spots "sprinkled" around the floor in front of the toilet. Which means previous guest had poor aim and worse, the housekeepers obviously didn't clean. Since our late arrival time, I didn't complain to front desk, I used one of their lovely white fluffy towels to clean it myself. Very disappointing.
If you want to good night sleep to relax and wind down in the hot tub pool or gym nasion and relax in a friendly atmosphere this is the hotel for you , Everyone was very nice very helpful plenty of parking
You cant go wrong with this great hotel in Garden City. Super clean, modern, great desk staff. This was the first Best Western that we enjoyed the little cocktail bar. Our server was informative and super friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
I had an amazing stay there; great stylish lobby, breakfast area. and great decor throughout. The rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable. The continental breakfast was fantastic. If you see "homemade salsa" on the menu, you are in for a treat. As a huge salsa lover, I was so happy to see that. I was literally craving it later that day. Estela makes the salsa herself and she did an amazing job. Be sure to say hi to her and tell her how much you loved it, she is a sweetheart. Her and her team keep the breakfast area fully stocked, cleaned while you are eating; and again with the decor, it is a great way to start the day. 100% satisfied overall.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms and amenities always exceed expectations. The complementary breakfast is by far the best I have ever had at a hotel. They have a staff person who makes homemade salsa everyday and it is perfection.
Like I said: Clean - Quiet - professionally staffed and maintained. The ownership cares and it shows. Higher quality (than the more typical) breakfast experience. Even smells clean and fresh. I really can't think of a single mark-down. -- Bob -- Pagosa Springs, Colorado
This best Western was definitely one of the good ones really enjoyed my stay and my daughter loved the pool it was warm the breakfast was excellent and soo fancy really loved it and will definitely stay again and will recommend
This hotel was beautiful. The room was great. The pool and hot tub were great. The lobby was pretty and the breakfast was good. Our grandchildren loved the water wall in the lobby. The hotel was close to shopping and to some really great places to eat.
Our stay at this motel was very enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent and the accommodations were great, ie. clean room, bathroom was very clean and our sleep was not interrupted because of hallway noise, etc.. The site felt very luxurious.
This hotel has proven to be the best hotel in Garden City. Great staff and customer service, beautiful hotel, clean rooms and very home-like. I will be recommending all of my coworkers to stay here when we travel for our business classes!
This Hotel is top notch! I will never stay any where else when visiting Garden city. Nice people, great breakfast, house keeping is unbelievable. They also have a bar that was perfect for us, as we didn't have to leave the promises to have an adult beverage. Thanks so much and we will definitely be back.
First stay at a Best Western in ages. The change of décor has altered my opinion of the brand. The interior and exterior were very appealing and very modernized. All amenities were excellent and the staff was very accommodating.
Due to extreme weather in Kansas my tennis team was stranded. The staff at our Hotel in GardenCity by phone helped us navigate to our destination safely as none of our phones had internet service in the remote area we were at. Thank you Best Western Plus!
Would stay again if I am in the area close to restaurants and shopping. Defiantly upscale and nice rooms. I was surprised at the décor and upkeep. Beds were comfortable and staff easy to work with. Best western has a great chain of hotels
This is a new B/W Hotel and very modern in style. Nice kitchen with all glass and regular silverware, no plastic. They have an evening bar and lounge area that's nice. The rooms are large with nice bath room area and large sink counter for all the ladies. The bed was great and the room was quite at night for sleeping.
Based on reviews, we chose Best Western Plus Emerald Inn for our stay in Garden City Kansas. We were not disappointed. The property is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Perhaps our best experience here was breakfast. It had a good variety and was excellently prepared. There was even an option for custom made omelets!
I always look forward to my stay at this hotel. Excellent quality for the price. It's more than I had expected for size of town and location. Comfy linens, nice bathtub and always very clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
Our first trip through Garden City and was convenient stopping on the way to Colorado. We've had good luck with Best Western hotels but this one certainly deserves the "plus" to its name. The lobby was very nice with a small bar located between the lobby and the pool area. The waterfall backdrop to the check in desk was very nice. The breakfast area was excellent even with a sign done in chalk telling what would be available for breakfast in the morning. Other than feed lots, I don't know what the draw for Garden City is, but I would definitely stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it.
Top quality room and hotel. Top cleanliness throughout the entire hotel. Lovely personnel and staff. Very easy to talk with and get information about we had about the area: restaurants, etc., community college, and mall. Easy access off of highway. If you have any health conditions where you need a clean environment for yourself or family member, this would be the hotel to stay at in Garden City.
This is the best hotel in Garden City, very friendly people that works there. Don't forget to stop and get some awesome breakfast. The hotel is located close to shopping centers and restaurants as well. Nice facilities.
After a long day of driving we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff at the desk. Our room was very clean and within easy access of the elevator. Breakfast was exceptional: large variety to choose from, fresh, pleasantly presented.
Very pleased with the service and especially the friendliness when checking in. One is treated (almost as Royalty) at Best Western Hotels, and BW Plus Emerald Inn and Suites Garden, Kansas is no exception. I will stay there again should my travels head that way through Kansas.
Start with being greeted with coffee, iced tea, water and cookies. Then add custom made omelets for breakfast and you have one of the nicest hotels we have visited. Rooms and the common areas are clean. They even provide the tv remote in a sanitary bag, which made my wife very happy as she travels with cleaning wipes.
Made a quick stop for for an overnight. Hotel is very modern and appears to have some 'new' to it still. Room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. My limited interaction with the staff was good, no complaints. The breakfast bar area looks amazing and well done but the food is still the same stuff you'll find at most hotels, eggs, hash-browns, sausage, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, etc. Quality was average. My room rate was $114 on a Saturday night for a double-queen.
Large rooms.Variety of foods for breakfast with real dishes to use. Staff was very friendly and helpful with what I needed. Convenient location to where I needed to be for my meetings. I did not have a chance to use the pool, but did go by and it was very clean and nice.
We've stayed here on 3 seperate occasions in the past 18 months and it has always been a good experience. Rooms are always clean and the staff is excellent. Breakfast is pretty standard but fresh. Close to the college, food options and shopping.
Frankly, I almost don't want to write this stellar review because the cost of the hotel considering the quality is just so reasonable. But Elana served super homestyle breakfast and Mark really went out of his way make the swimming pool a fun occasion. Seriously, I am reluctant to write this review because I would prefer to keep this Best Western the best kept secret but again the service and substance are just too good. Only problem is location and perhaps that's why it remains a secret! But if you find it you will be very glad that you did!
I stayed for the week on business at the Best Western Plus Emerald Inn in Garden City and it was a great stay. It's a new, clean and modern hotel. Fast check-in and check out, great breakfast bar with many choices (to include healthy ones!) and a knowledgeable & eager to assist hotel staff. An added and welcome bonus was a bar in the lobby that serves beer and mixed drinks. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, modern furniture and TVs with a large selection of channels. Stay here when you travel to or through Garden City--a very nice hotel to recharge your battery.
I always stay at this hotel every time I'm in there town. It's always clean and inviting. They have the best breakfast in town. Staffing is always friendly and helpful. I stay at a lot of hotels all over the United States and this Best Western is the best I've ever stayed at. Stella is there breakfast cook and she is the nicest lady you could meet.
We stayed at two other hotels on this trip and this one was by far the best. Very clean, new, and plush. No complaints here. Pool and breakfast were great. There was some very neat and fancy decorations around the hotel. We will stay here again on our next trip to Garden City, KS.
This is one of the most beautiful Best Westerns we have seen! From the outside of the building to the rooms and everything in between, the decor' is fabulous. The property is extremely clean and inviting. The landscaping was beautiful. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. We stayed on the third floor so I can't speak to whether or not you could hear people walking above you. The internet worked great. I tried to use the 1 washing machine on property but it was being used every time I tried, both night and morning. It would be my suggestion to add another machine. We had a couple of problems at check-in and the manager had to be called to rectify one of them (we were given the wrong room). We were also told breakfast was till 10 and when we came down at 9:10 it was already over ( we were quoted the weekend ending time and not the weekday ending time). We heard it was only his 2nd day there so we can understand him making some mistakes. Estel, who oversees the breakfast area, took it upon herself to make sure we had breakfast. She is a gem and I will probably stay here again just because of her! She told us she would be cooking omelets the next morning (Tuesday) and that we should stay for her homemade omelets. Wish we could have! It was truly nice to eat off of regular plates and drink coffee out of real coffee cups instead of using paper and foam. This is a great property and all Best Westerns should try to measure up!
Really nice and clean! Great staff, very friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and and the breakfast was good! This is definitely a great place to stay at! I would definitely recommend it, you won't regret your stay.
This hotel is clean, well kept and quiet. Great beds, everything worked correctly and breakfast had real scrambled eggs and sausage along with the usual pastries, cereal, biscuits and gravy. Everyone was cordial and welcoming..we'll stay again if in the area
Between the awesome staff and the beautiful facility this is the best place to stay in Garden City. Everyone I dealt with was truly welcoming and helpful. It is conveniently located, has a great breakfast every morning, a FULL fitness center (not just a treadmill thrown in for show) and a very nice indoor pool and hot tub.
We stopped for one night and was very impressed by this hotel. The lobby is very impressive and the rooms do not disappoint. A full complimentary breakfast is served between 6-10am. All staff we encountered was very courteous. I highly suggest staying here if you are in Garden City.
Chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and do not think we could have found better. We stayed one night on our way to my brother's wedding. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the pool/hot tub were welcome relief after a long drive Hotel is new and very clean. Great beds and incredibly quiet inside room. We were VERY happy with our choice. Thanks BW Garden City.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites for our sons baseball tournament. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warmth and an attitude of "how can we help!" The hotel itself was beautiful and inviting. Our room was spacious and comfortable. I requested down alternative pillows and they were there as requested. The location was convenient to all the events we were attending. The pool area and hot tub were very nice! Others in our party stayed at a different hotel and the contrast between the two was noticeable. Our rooms were so much larger and it was fresh and new! The breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious. The front desk always had quarters for me as I had to launder my dons uniform every night and the laundry room itself was very nice. It had a nice large counter to fold clothes. If your looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay in Garden City I strongly recommend you choose Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites!!
This hotel is very easy to get to, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent, very clean, comfortable beds, nice large bathroom WITH an exhaust fan! There are plenty of outlets for electricity and USB for phone or computer.
Nicest hotel we have had this year. Everything was first class. Next time I am close to Garden City will be sure to stay here. Reminded me of a high end resort. Very comfortable beds, real dishes in breakfast area, designer décor.
Great place. super clean, very nice rooms, great beds, everything was excellent. Staff extremely friendly & accommodating. Pricing of room was reasonable for all the amenities they provide. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Garden City.
The best place to stay. The hotel is spotless. The rooms were very spacious and had lots of amenities. The staff was very welcoming. And let me tell you about Estela (she is the breakfast cook) who cooks amazing food for a hotel breakfast. The food is over the top. Eat the homemade salsa!!!!
The Best Western in Garden City was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed on while traveling the US. New, clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the rooms nicely appointed. I was extremely pleased to find such a nice hotel on my US travels.
Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and all were very busy taken care of things. I have no complaints about our stay there. It was great. Love Best Western Hotels. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and it is in an easy location to get in and out of.
Very nice, modern, clean hotel. Both the front desk and breakfast staff were super nice and very attentive. We were worried about it possibly being too noisy (there was a large number of kids on our floor traveling for baseball) but it did not seem to be an issue. The sounds coming from outdoors and indoors were very minimal.
Spent a couple of nights here and they were both very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Had a quiet nights sleep on the comfortable bed. Plenty of parking available and its not too far to go to find places to eat. This remains our go to hotel in Garden City.
I travel weekly for work and will once a quarter be really impressed by a service persons attitude. Estela in the lounge was one of the sweetest more helpful people. I was running late and to a clinic and only was grabbing coffee on my way out, as she saw me looking around she insisted i stay so she could get me some food to go. I had been working in my room all morning and had missed it. Only I hadn't! She sent me out the door for my hour journey with a burrito, a banana and a full cup of Joe. Clay at the front desk also made a special trip to bring me a razor to my room when I really needed the 5 minutes to prepare. Things like this matter. Service like this matters. It's the difference in losing a customer or winning one. Thank you Garden City Best Western for your hospitality and the king size bed! Estela, my burritos tied me over, it's 2:30 and I'm just grabbing lunch. You the best! The squeaky wheel gets the grease, never forget that when you are traveling, you're paying for a home away from home experience, don't settle for less!
Every staff member was over the top accommodating and friendly. Beautiful hotel clean well stocked rooms. Breakfast awesome a great touch not having throw away plates to eat off of. Will stay here again!
Stayed at BW while training in Garden City Kansas Great place, breakfast in the morning was awesome, has pool, ice machine, bar at night for a couple hours and great staff. Rooms have fridge microwave good TV, internet access, iron in closet with iron table hair dryer shampoo, soap fresh towels, coffee maker for the K cups, coffee machine in lobby with cookies love fig newton
One of the best BWP hotels I have stayed in! Great staff I needed to check out a day early and the manager made this happen even though it was after the checkout deadline. I will stay here again when I am back in Garden City!
Very nice everything a traveler could want. Reasonable priced extremely clean room and comfortable beds. The hot Breakfast had many choices and was yummy. The staff was friendly and helpful was able to recommend restaurants for dinner which is nice when you are from out of town.
The room looked modern, clean, and classy. The alarm clock had blue tooth which was perfect for music from our phones over the free wi-fi. What set this hotel apart was their awesome breakfast: biscuits and gravy, in-season fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, cook-your-own-pancake machine, plus normal continental breakfast items. We stayed on a Sunday night so I assume this is their normal weekday breakfast.
Stayed here for one night. The hotel and rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Great breakfast included - even had breakfast tacos! This hotel seems new. Great location - near restaurants and stores. Impressed. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again!
We stayed at this hotel July 6-9 and this is the best you will get when staying at a hotel. The breakfast was amazing. Estelle was just so amazing. Very helpful and kind. Your salsa is good. We are coming back just to see her..the hotel was very clean and mind you I'm very picky. The staff was very accommodating and made you feel at home. Thank you for making our visit an experience like no other. We will be back.
First trip to the Midwest, dropping our son off at GCCC for football. First impressions were the people of Garden City were extremely friendly. No exception at Best Western Plus. Wendy was very helpful and always pleasant. Estella was very engaging and attentive running the breakfast area. The hotel is very clean, and quiet. Definitely stay here again during football season!
We travel quite a bit (maybe 20-30 nights/year in hotels and another 7-10 at AirBNB type lodgings). This was probably our abbsolute best low-price option we've ever experienced. First: LARGE FAMILY CHOICES!! It seems we've had to rely more an more on AirBNB due to having 3 kids and 2 adults. This time we even had an extra kiddo and we were still able to stay in one room with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. Further, you could actually navigate your way thru the room with the sofa bed pulled out. No worries about crashing into it whilst attempting to visit the restroom late at night. Second, the service was impeccable. Frankly, I have never seen a more industrious hotel employee as the lovely gal who ran the breakfast service. She is a force of nature!! Finally, the lodgings were simply lovely. We noticed that the interior design was partly western and partly contemporary. You didn't feel like you were in some corny, Western-themed, cattle town hotel. Nor did it feel like a shiny, metallic, urban/ikea hotel relocated from a city to rural Kansas. Of course the kids loved the bubble wall, too. The stay was so great that we left the hotel and immediately got online to see if there was another Best Western Plus near Salina or Abilene for the next leg of our journey. There is no doubt that we will stay here again if we make it out to Garden City again!
What a wonderful motel! Sandra checked us in (hassle free), prepared our appetizer, served our drinks, and chatted with us about Garden City. Very delightful young lady. The motel was clean as pin. Our room was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The price was more than reasonable. Would highly recommend Emerald Inn to a relative or friend, and would definitely stay there again if I'm back to Garden City. Randy in Skiatook, Oklahoma
Was amazing from arrival to departure. Rooms were extremely clean and quiet. Breakfast was wonderful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely stay there next time we are in Garden City, Ks
The wife and I stay here every time we are in Garden City. We can really relax and enjoy our stay. We will stay there every time we come to town. The room was quiet and the TV was good. Mark and his crew take really good care of you. The breakfast was top notch also to start the day.
Awesome staff especially the breakfast hostess. you felt like you were in a restaurant. She was so friendly and nice and the food was great. Served on glass plates and silverware not paper and plastic. Very nice. All the staff was great. Clean and nice rooms, great value.
Great place to stay. Really clean and great beds. Absolutely loved our stay there. Location was excellent and close to shopping and restaurants. The help there was the best. Really recommend this hotel.
Out of all the chain hotels we have stayed in over the years, the Garden City, Kansas BW Plus has been the best value, best staffed, and one of the cleanest. It was a bright spot on long Hwy 83 traveling from South Dakota to Texas!
A nice place to stay. Good food, a helpful staff and a good location. The hotel is well kept and there is plenty of parking. The hotel is located near the shopping areas. It is very close to a refrigeration school. The trip to the GCAP campus is less than a five minute drive.
Everytime I come through Garden City I make it a point to stay at this Best Western. I promise you, it's the best hotel in this town. The beds are Wonderful, and the breakfast Hostess Estela makes the Best Homemade Salsa that I have ever had. We came back just for her Salsa.
We arrived at about 9:30 p.m. after a long drive. The registration person who checked us in was very welcoming - as if we were long-awaited family members. She was pleasant, told us about the facilities, mentioned the free breakfast, suggested nearby places that would be open to eat.We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, inviting welcome in a place that is very clean, has excellent beds, and is very reasonably priced. Nice pool and hot tub too.
We had a recent overnight stay on our way back from Colorado that we booked online based on the high reviews given this establishment. We can easily see why it is rated so high! They accommodated us for a late check-in (after 9:30 PM) and we found our room to be spotless! Immaculately clean- which is such an important thing. The bathroom was freshly stocked with towels and toiletries and our room was nice and cool- very good A/C unit plus a ceiling fan. The beds had a firmer mattress which personally is to my liking. In the morning there is an amazing breakfast buffet that will meet the wish of almost any palate-- from fresh fruit (including watermelon which is a personal favorite) and yogurt to your traditional biscuits and gravy/bacon & eggs plus sausage, hash browns, cereal and bagels. Easily a 5 Star Establishment and a great place to stay be it overnight or even an extended visit- the room quality & cleanliness plus friendly staff plus a great breakfast option makes for a very good value bargain. We will definitely stay there again!
We stayed for 5 nights while attending the NJCAA golf tournament. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were awesome. Sandra with the front desk rocks. There is also onsite laundry facility. If ever we have a need to travel to Garden City, Kansas again we will definitely stay here!
The Best Western Emerald Inn is an almost new hotel and is lovely in every way. Caring, friendly staff (Sandra!), clean, modern rooms, great shower and bed, bar open 'til 10:00 p.m. is an extra bonus! Would definitely go back and highly recommend this hotel if you are passing through the area.
We stayed one night here. The room is lovely! Very relaxing and comfortable. Bed is great! Nice sitting area. Beautiful decor! Exceptional cleanliness! Staff is awesome- especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast was also very good! Great value for the money!
Wonderful experience, staff at breakfast was extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were always clean and fresh towels. Thanks
As I age it seems that the bed in a hotel makes it or breaks it, this bed makes it! The staff is friendly and on point with what a tired traveler wants when you arrive, but the BED is better than my bed at home. The room has a ceiling fan and is beautiful, I wish I had a long project to work in this town, I would stay at this hotel and be content and comfortable. Loved it.
Great staff. Great rooms. Great breakfast. We ended up here in a snow storm and it was a welcome place to relax and collect ourselves. We would highly recommend and would stay there again. The double queen suite was large and spacious.
Almost a best western premier, but with less cost. Very new, very nice, very clean, aesthetically pleasing, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast is amazing. Very nice selection for any type of food preferences
We were not impressed when the hotel lost power as the result of a blizzard. There is nothing that they could've done about the bad weather but they had no back up plans for heat, food and comfort of the guests who were stranded there.
The hotel was very nice and staff, not enough room in this post to describe how wonderful the staff from housekeeping, breakfast and front desk staff were. The were three concerns I had. The beds were very firm and felt like I was sleeping almost on a board or springs, I did not care for them at all. I am sure there is a reason, but never understood why hotels don't consider quality memory foam systems. The internet was terrible. It disconnected constantly and reverted to my hot spot just to get my email. Last was the interior noise. There is minimal if any sound absorption in the halls, perhaps rooms. I could hear normal conversations and doors small down the hallway. That said, the hotel was in a great location, staff quality would give a five star hotel a good run for their money and the five star would loose. For a budget hotel, the interior was a very nice design and relaxing and the breakfast was one of the better continental breakfasts around.
Decor look practically new, so I asked front desk how long this property had been in use. She told me 2 years. It is a TOTAL remake of a multi-level parking structure (which explains the great location) and boy did they do a nice job!
I stayed at the Best Western Plus for a week for a business trip. It is new, modern, and very clean. The Breakfast is top notch and can get your omelette fixed your way. Everything seemed fine until I checked out. They had billed me a jacuzzi room rate one night due to an over booking. They tried to blame me when it was a person at front desk who made the mistake. The manager wanted to drill me and basically sided with staff. I was a bit irritated, knowing that the mistake was on the staff. ... after talking to the staff member they I formed me that it would be taken care of. It wasn't. Then I received a phone message that it was taken care of. However, once again it wasn't. The staff member was trying to buy time and wear me out. Upon calling the manager I saved the message and forwarded it to him. He refused to believe me until he got the message. Eventually, he apologized and refunded me $90. I would recommend the hotel. Just watch your bill.
Nice rooms, Good breakfast, friendly staff. Very clean hotel. Staff did a great job of handling things over a very busy Easter weekend. Internet was a bit slow but that is the way it is at a hotel. They did provide one wired connection and that worked great.
Mark Graiber manger and his staff all went out there way to make me feel at home , even the house keepers I will definitely stay there when in town for business or with my family. I was staying at this motel two years ago when my mother passed they helped me alot with all the stess ,
Stayed in a suite that was big, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed out stay. It was quiet and very clean. Loved the water fall on the wall. The only thing we noticed was being on a corner across from the elevators, we could hear people talking when they were waiting.
Was in town watching my daughter compete in rodeo at college. This is a really new hotel with all the perks that you would find at a much more expensive hotel. The staff were helpful and the room very clean. Bed very comfortable.
The hotel and staff were exceptional. Enjoyed our stay. Great restaurants nearby. Hotel was spotless inside and out. Rooms were very clean. used the business center and it was equipped well. Great internet. Hotel had a great lobby. Very relaxing.
This hotel amazed me the moment I drove up . The detail that was put into this place is phenomenal. The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The rooms were state of the art decor , clean , roomy and amazing I travel a lot for work and this by far has been the best hotel I've stayed at ever !!!! I give this place 10 stars ! I would stay here all year if I could. Please stay at this hotel , you will be pleased.
I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and apparently remodeled recently. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was wonderful with the option to order omelets. There were only 2 minor issues: wifi was slow and water was hard (difficult to wash soap off of skin)
The Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites Hotel in Garden City, Kansas is a little gem! The rooms are comfortable, the staff is courteous and always helpful and the free breakfast is superb. Everything is set up for a guest's comfort. If you're staying in Garden City, make sure this is the hotel you choose!
The building and the rooms are very nice and the staff friendly. I found the beds comfortable and the sound quiet for the most part. My one huge complaint would be the internet service within the rooms. I have stayed twice now at the hotel months apart and the internet was extremely poor. Even when sending an email with a small attachment the service would timeout and forget streaming video its not going to happen. Dialup internet is faster than this service.
Our family stayed at Best Western while my husband attended GCAP, and it is truly a beautiful hotel. We had lots of room for our entire family (husband, 3 boys and myself) in the 2 queen suite, the beds and sleeper sofa were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very plentiful and so yummy. We enjoyed the lobby everyday which offered tea, coffee and cookies, our kids really enjoyed it. Also, the pool was amazing, and especially the hot tub. We will definitely stay at Best Western anytime we visit Garden City.
This was our second time to stay at this motel. The wife was really pleased with our room. I particularly liked the shower, so much so that I hated get out. The wife wants me to put the same kind of shower head on ours at home.
One of the best hotels, period. Great beds, shower and modern upscale design. Not the best value but a great place nonetheless. Good staff. King suite is spacious with 2 flatscreens fridge and microwave.
Wow, i never expected a best western to be so elegant. we stayed only one night, but it was a real treat. The hotel is only a few years old and NOT what you think of as an old Best Western. It was very modern, incredible breakfast, well appointed rooms, and spacious and airy lobby. They definitely didn't scrimp on thikngs when they built this. The pool looked great, but we didn't have time to use it. Definitelyl will return.
This was my 2nd time staying here and I so enjoy it. The staff was very friendly. Hotel is nice, clean, and up to date. We used the bar service drinks were good and also priced well. This hotel really feels like a home away from home.
This is the newest and arguably the best motel in Garden City, KS. Rooms and pool were very nice. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff, particularly Estella who services the breakfast buffet. "The nicest person I have ever seen doing that job," said my son.
After a very long day of travel from the St. Louis area we arrived at the Emerald Inn. The staff was very welcoming and got us checked in quickly. Our room was very nice, clean and attractive. Once I stated getting ready for bed I discovered that my toothbrush holder had no toothbrush in it. I called the front desk and they brought one up within about twenty minutes. The hotel was very quiet so we did get. A good nights sleep. Breakfast was very plentiful and the lady who works in that area was was busy clearing customers dishes, cups and so on as they finished. We would certainly stay here again.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful in every area. Breakfast was wonderful - one of the best we have had as an included feature. The value for the price was exceptional!
checked in with no problems. had hot coffee in the lobby. hotel only open for 1 1/2 years, so everything was in good shape. time to take down the now open sign though. right close to several restaurants and shopping. not on our regular trip route but would stay at this b/w again
My family of 5 stayed in a Suite and it was plenty of room, although bathrooms are kinda small for how big the rest of the room was. Everything was great until 1 hour after checkout front desk calls to let me know we were 1 pillow short, and they were charging my credit card $50.00 for a missing pillow. Staff didn't believe that we had no pillows so i had to drive my vehicle back to show them we had no pillows. Apparently there was some miscommunication between housekeeper and front desk because they "found" the pillow after over 2 hours after checkout. I was "told it's her work against yours" , and obviously my word didn't matter. Nice hotel, i'm just not sure i would stay here again as i feel they lack the care for the customer.
The beds are so soft and comfy. The people are very friendly. Breakfast is hot fresh and has homemade salsa! Very friendly and VERY clean. Everything was very well kept and they were able to get me everything I needed
The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was basic but good, lobby comfortable. My grandson (8) had a great time in the pool, which was somewhat small but perfectly adequate for us. The saltwater and the dark blue color of the pool was really pretty and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit family in Garden City.
Having stayed here before, I expect an excellent experience. They delivered. Meaning, the room is clean & comfortable. The breakfast tasty and extensive. The fitness center and pool are convenient and provide a good workout. The staff are professional, courteous, and helpful.
haven't stayed at a best western in years! sorry BW!! normally I book IHG properties, but as the one in garden city was under construction according to tripadvisor, I stayed at this best western. great hotel!! the outside is really nice, almost a 'colorado lodgy' feeling to it, the lobby is cool, modern, inviting. front staff was extremely nice and helpful, granting us early check in as well. our room was spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean. no complaints at all!!!! breakfast was plentiful, staff was again very nice, so I can highly recommend this property.
My family drive to. Colorado and South Dakota from Illinois in July 2016. After stopping at a few road side stops in KS, we found ourselves in Garden City. This hotel was beautiful, and a wonderful respite after a long drive. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spotless, and the pool was very nice. Breakfast was better than average. Our daughters thought we were staying in a 5 star hotel! Fantastic place, and we will seek out this chain in our future travels!
My family and I traveled from Indiana to Kansas via train. The staff at the Best Western Plus made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is really good and Estella is the best hostess :) The front desk manager, Mark, was helpful and even arranged transportation for our party from the train station. Very nice and modern- yet very comfortable. A+ rating from these Hoosiers!
I read the reviews on this hotel before I stayed so I had pretty high hopes. I am glad that we decided to stay the hotel looked beautiful, the pool was great, staff very friendly, and the breakfast was very good as well. We will only stay in this hotel from now on. The only thing I would change would be the beds were a little hard.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in a while. If your in the area and looking for a very upscale modern and comfortable place choose here. Full breakfast in the morning of hashBrowns, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and juices. Didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked nice. Ceiling fan in room was the best part. King bed was very comfy. Very clean. Had a nice pull out couch.
Fantastic breakfast, great pool/hot tub, extremely clean and comfortable. The shower/bathtubs are great. Shower head is plentiful and has a higher mount than most. The shower curtain rod is rounded, which is always great.Estela, worked in the breakfast area in the morning, she was extremely helpful, friendly and went the extra mile to make us all feel comfortable. She is an excellent worker. Mark, at the front desk, is also a huge asset. He is very helpful and very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Very clean, excellent breakfast, friendly service!!! I would definitely stay here again!!! Wi-fi a little slow but no other complaints!!!! Hotel seemed like it was brand new! Lots of amenities, continental breakfasts, gym, pool, etc...very nice!!!
Very quiet for being just off the highway. Very clean and comfortable. The shower head is mounted up high which is great for a tall person like myself(I'm sensitive to that) and can be aimed/tilted easily. Not wimpy on water pressure either. Big soap bars for the shower. Hair dryer is good. Only thing bad in the bath is toilet paper roll is hard to reach. In room single serve coffee maker with four servings. They have 24 hour coffee and tea in the lobby. Exercise room is well equipped(they have kettle bells) and they have an indoor hot tub and pool.Air conditioner is quiet, internet access is good. Bed is firm and the pillows are soft, though a little on the small side. I had the 2 queen bed layout which is a little crowded. Carpet was a little frayed which surprised me for being such a new place. Still that's not much to complain about. I would stay there again.
The only problem I had was the bed was too hard. I didn't sleep well. The staff was great and the hotel was very clean. I thought the breakfast looked great and the layout was clean and tidy. I do think that there should have been a few more choices. The grounds were in great shape as well as the buildings condition. Overall it was a great stay!
Very nice motel. Quiet, breakfast was awesome. Close to places to eat or call for delivery. The room was spacious and very comfortable beds. Right off the highway easy to get too. Personnel was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Arriving at this lovely new facility after a long drive in stormy weather was a lovely surprise. The exterior was quite attractive and the landscaping was exceptional. The regional art in the public and private spaces showed the thought that went into this hotel. The room and bath were well appointed (at last a hotel with bathroom fans). Everything was CLEAN. My husband was enthusiastic about the breakfast - I was less of a fan but looking back I remember the hospitality, cleanliness, attractive decor, and close attention of the attendant to the food. Although this was only an overnight stop, we both would have enjoyed a longer stay.
I stay at many hotels a year. I also stay in some very incredible hotels and resorts. This hotel was incredible! The incredible details of the building to the thoughts involved in comfort for the guest is superb. I am not a Best Western fan but this hotel has made me one.
This hotel was very nice, from the lobby to the rooms. You could tell it was newly built. Lobby, rooms, hallways, breakfast area - all very clean! The complimentary breakfast was great, and the staff was extremely friendly. I stayed in a standard King room, VERY spacious. My ONLY minor issue - I need it very cool when I sleep and I could not get the ceiling fan to turn on (not sure if it was just for show?) and AC wouldn't stay on what I set it as. Otherwise, wonderful hotel and would definitely stay again.
We just stayed the night at the Emerald Inn and Suites. We had a handicap accessible room and a 2 queen room. The hotel is very clean and the beds were great. The front staff is friendly and helpful. They had a nice indoor pool area and exercise room. Breakfast had several choices to pick from. We will stay here again!
We have stayed in numerous hotels and this by far is the best. Super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Priced reasonably. We only stayed one night as we were coming home from vacation. The breakfast is always great at Best Westerns.
This was a very nice Best Western property. The rooms were clean and quiet. The lady that took care of the breakfast area did an AMAZING job. She really added to the quality of the hotel. Our only regret - we ate on the way to the hotel. Once we checked in - we learned that the hotel key provides discounts at most of the local restaurants.
We are just approximately an hour away from Garden City, and a couple of months ago we tried out another Motel. Absolutely dollar for dollar, there was no comparison. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and stay at the Best Western.
On our way to Colorado, we stayed one night in this nice hotel. It is new, very nicely decorated too. Room included a ceiling fan. Awesome! Breakfast was very good and had a nice variety. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend staying here.
My husband works at Tyson, and we stayed at this hotel while he was working relief for the plant nearby. It was INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms and hotel overall were spic and span, and there was a delicious HOMEMADE breakfast every day!! The woman who ran the breakfast was fantastic, she always had a smile (even at 6 am) on her face and was very hospitable. The pool and the hot-tub were also AMAZING, and they even had a workout room. There was nothing that this hotel didn't have! I wish that there was one of these wherever we traveled. I would always choose to stay!
The breakfast lady Estella was wonderful and very accommodating. And the entire service for my stay was great. The rooms and beds are very nice and comfy. My over all experience was very satisfactory. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends
This hotel exceeds expectations. Wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, try the ladies homemade salsa on your eggs, it was spicy yet yummy. have now stayed there twice in the last 2 months, beds are wonderful. Internet worked well.
Being a senior citizen we have traveled a lot and stayed in many motels and hotels. I can truthfully tell you that the Best Western Emerald in Garden City, Ks was one of the most delightful stays of our older years! It is classy, beautiful, clean, quiet, supremely comfortable bed, wonderful shower and plenty of water pressure, very nice staff, wonderful breakfast and conveniently located. Who could ask for anything more??? Thanks, Emerald, you are a jewel of a hotel!!!
I will start by saying I'm not a huge Best Western person. I'm not really a loyal person to any hotel chain, and was skeptical about this Best Western.. Boy do I eat those words now!!! This hotel is amazing and VERY comfortable. The staff were nothing short of amazing also! They were helpful, friendly, accommodating, etc. And talk about a GREAT breakfast spread! I can't remember the breakfast ladies name, but those burritos she made and the homemade salsa = EXCELLENT! It was like a little touch of home out on the road.. GREAT job everyone you should definitely pat yourselves on the back. ;)
Our first time at a BW Plus and won't be our last! Lovely hotel. Friendly staff, clean & comfy rooms, inviting lobby. Good breakfast. Plus the room smells great and its walking distance to restaurants.
A wonderful hotel. Newer. The halls, lobby, & rooms all smell clean and new. Lobby has a (limited) bar open until 10 p.m. The staff is friendly and beds are comfortable. I would love to stay at this hotel again and again. Highly recommend.
This is our second stay at this hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and super clean. The staff is most helpful and caring and the pool area is great. There is a nice breakfast bar with a good choice of hot food. We will be back and definitely recommend this hotel for a great stay.
This is an over all quality place to stay and our third visit in the last three years. We travel threw here on our way to Texas each year and haul our trailer so it's nice to have access and parking available. It's relatively new, with an excellent décor as well as great amenities. The staff were helpful and friendly. The full hot breakfast was tasty and fresh.
We came to Garden City to visit family & started out as a different hotel nearby. Everything was out of order so we decided to check out the Best Western. We were beyond pleased. The lobby was warm and inviting, the pool area was clean and laid out wonderfully. The gym had the perfect sets of equipment to keep active even on vacation. What stood out to us the most was the kindness of the staff. By the time we left 2-3 days later, they were friendly & familiar faces. The rooms were beyond our expectations. Each bed had thick, warm blankets. There was enough room to be comfortable and move around with our family. The rooms were perfectly cleaned & assembled with love. I would recommend this hotel to any & everyone!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to spend the night in Garden City, Ks. We came up for a "Live-On- Stage" Concert. The hotel was clean, relaxing with waterfall-type wall hangings, fresh, and the breakfast and the breakfast staff were wonderful!!! Also the check-in and check-out staff were friendly and helpful
If Breakfast and the pool towels get better this will hands down be the nicest hotel in the City. But I would expect this hotel to be the nicest as it is new. Hands down it is the best and far superior over the Marriott in town. The best Pool around.
This was our second time staying at Best Western in Garden City, and as always it was a great experience. The rooms are clean, and large with comfortable beds. The breakfast is hot and really good! A big plus for traveling families is the coin operated washer and dryer available. The hotel is located just minutes from restaurants and shopping. We will always choose this hotel for it's friendly staff, and amazingly clean hotel.
Stayed one night for buisness and had read the reviews on this property on trip advisor. I found all the positive comments regarding the hotel to be absolutly true! I flew in late the night before and they offered to pick me up at the airport. The place looks like new, great customer Service, excellent facilities. The room was more than I expected including the Kurig coffee maker! I will stay here for sure on future buisness trips...Did I mention the Hot Breakfast was fantastic! Try the homemade salsa!! on the breakfast burrito!
The hotel is new and was very nice overall. The Wifi was slow and the tv did not work very well. The hotel is located in a decent area with some shopping nearby. Cab service in Garden City is lacking...
I was traveling to see family and needed a good, well located, clean place. This hotel is only one year old. It is beautifully maintained and has easy parking, nice sized rooms, great staff and a free breakfast. I didn't use the pool and hot tub, but saw many others enjoying it. The walls are thin, but all-in-all it was a good value and a clean/well managed property. It is off the main street and behind another hotel -- be careful at night and park in lit areas. But otherwise, you will have good access to the freeway, Garden City itself and good restaurants (many you get a discount if you show your room key).
This place is clearly for real! It is not only a beautiful and well-kept new hotel, but it is also a haven of outstanding customer service by caring people. First, I was instantly impressed with Estela and her caring manner my first morning there in the breakfast area. She greeted everyone with a smile and her delicious homemade salsa truly put the "plus" in my day. Because of Estela, I decided to return to Garden City and stay 2 more nights the following week rather than a nearby town. Estela is a gem! When I returned the following week, Mark at the front desk displayed invaluable customer service in making sure I was pointed in the right direction as I left early for my destination an hour away. And it didn't stop there...once I arrived home, I realized I'd left my business schedule for the upcoming year in my room. I called, talked to Mark, and within the hour was assured it was in the mail. And I received it in just a few days. Mark is a great example of day-to-day excellence. This place is a win-win for anyone searching for a place that makes you feel like you're at a home-away-from-home.
Stopped here on a road trip between Boulder, CO and Houston, TX. Had to deviate from our normal route to avoid snow and ice and chose this Hotel as a stopover. Arrived late, had made reservation about 30 minutes prior to arrival. Everything was in order upon arrival. Clean, efficient Hotel, good sleep quality, quiet, decent breakfast, easy access and friendly service. Cost was $124.00 including taxes. A tip, which has nothing to do with this Hotel. If you are traveling south on US 83 and need fuel, get it before you leave town. There is no fuel for 36 miles, the first station is in Sublette, Kansas.
This hotel has a great staff, awesome rooms, and great TVs! This hotel has 42 inch tvs in the rooms which makes it enjoyable to watch TV. In comparison this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Garden City.
Best Hotel in the Garden City area. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Super clean. Ceiling fan a major plus. Will continue to stay at this location. Room was a crampped but for 1 or 2 people it is sufficient.
I have been coming to Garden City for past ten years on business, and this motel rates first in comfort and quality. The bed was just right and the heating/cooling system kept the room perfect to the temperature that I selected. Very spacious and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Also the service at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located close to the main roads, but not too close where you hear a lot of road noise. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back the next time I am in Garden City.
I actually had a birthday sta-cation on January 14. They treated me very well. I would refer anybody traveling and spending the night in Garden City,Kansas to stay here! They have a great hot tub and swimming pool. Breakfast is great to! I will do another sta-cation there sometime.
I have stayed in this hotel numerous times. The staff is always accommodating and the rooms have all the amenities and space to work while providing the comfort for a good nights rest. The bar provides a nice relaxing place to unwind after a long day of meetings. There is no need to look at other hotels in the area, this is the place to stay.
We have stayed at this hotel several times and would definitely recommend it! Very clean, updated and spacious rooms! It is conveniently located in the city. Close to several restraurants and lots of shopping! Our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We will be back!!!
Excellent. Over-the-top decor. Very large and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Front Desk clerk Ivan was the most accommodating and polite person I had the good fortune to meet. I highly recommend this Hotel.
Very nice Hotel have stayed here multiple times, always greeted very nicely. Check in is a breeze and the rooms are great and comfy. Helps to have a nice large TV to watch shows on. I believe they are around 42 inches, some hotels seem to skip on this. Internet is good, could be a little faster but I understand with hotels so many people :D.
This hetel was amazing!! Very clean, decorated beautifully and the beds were awesome!!! We were in Kansas for a birthday celebration. The hotel clean, the pool area awesome. The lounge area better that some homes I have been to . This place makes me want to come back!!!!
We came dragging in unexpectedly on our way back from Colorado heading toward home in oklahoma. Kat checked us in and let me tell you she's awesome. The hotel smelled great! Our room was really nice and comfy I will definitely return. The comp breakfast really good to. The staff we interacted with were very and all seemed to like their job! I highly recommend this place
This was our first stay at the Best Western Plus in Garden City, KS. Beautiful hotel, like being on vacation! Great amenities, friendly and efficient staff. The free continental breakfast in the morning was outstanding. Highly recommend!
I stayed at this location August 2015 when we had to go to Garden City for a funeral. Upon check in everything was fine, though they did look disgusted because of the service dog. There's a beautiful pool and hot tub area which attracted my son in law to be as he is a partial paraplegic in a wheel chair so swimming is an activity he enjoys. We went to the pool (we were the only one's in there) and were approached by the clerk and said management was watching video feed from his home and the dog wasn't allowed so were asked to leave the pool. I took the dog out and left the kids to swim. I was later informed after my daughter had called corporate I could go back in with the dog but at that point I just wanted to get some sleep and leave the place. Now it's December and my kids went back to visit their grandmother, they booked at the same hotel thinking it wouldn't be a problem but as soon as they walked in were asked for papers stating he was in fact a service dog. This is illegal under the ADA standards. I would highly recommend you find a different hotel if you are disabled and have a service dog. I would also second think whether you want someone watching you or your children in the pool area from their home.
everything was excellent, the service , i really liked the breakfast . The Doctor is constantly on me about eating better and eating breakfast , i am terrible about skipping meals to get things done and move on . I am certain that i am not the only one dealing with this. The rooms are very well cleaned , i love the tea, mostly the hot tea in the evenings while i am doing book work , the coffee is great in the morning but i love to drink hot tea in the evening, would like to see more tea in rooms. Thanks for the great stay. I am on the road so much when i get home i just like to stay home. I consider your hotels that close to my home.
This hotel is excellent ...right from check in with Anna at reception to breakfast the next morning. Comfortable beds...so good! Lovely decor, looks fairly new...no restaurant onsite but plenty nearby. We ate in Main St at Ninja sushi & steak and it was excellent and well priced. The breakfast lady is lovely and friendly which is nice in the mornings. Walking distance to shops like Jc Penney and target across the road. But be careful crossing the road it is extremely busy and no crosswalk! Quite dangerous...drive if you need to go to target.
Nice surprise in Garden City ... Looked on TA after working in CO and a drive to GC stopping for the night. Nice new BW ... Nice comfortable room, friendly front desk service by Anna, good breakfast ... Overall very pleased. .. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay in Garden City. Everything you need for a quiet night sleep, Staff is professional and friendly. Easy and convenient parking. The hotel has everything from a weight room to copy machines.
This is a fairly new facility. I found this hotel to be an excellent choice. Clean rooms, lobby and restaurant and hotel staff was very friendly. Excellent value! I would definately stay here again when in Garden City Kansas for my next business trip.
The hotel itself was great but the pool hours are 10 to 10 and checkout is at 11. Poor pool hours led us to a chain wide, multi-year boycott of Best Westerns. We travel here often and so we decided to try it and give everyone a review. We cannot recommend because of the pool hours. Most pools open at 6.
This hotel is fantastic. Management & staff obviously care about ALL the details ... cleanliness, hospitality, and first rate customer service. Truly one of the most enjoyable hotels I have ever stayed with ... and that includes some 5 star establishments that could learn a thing or two from this hotel. It's the little things that matter (every area spotless - great linens - a very nice complimentary breakfast hosted my a marvelous lady with a great smile) And all at such a friendly price. This was my second extended stay with them, both equal as to quality & value. Might suggest that leaving tips for the maids and the breakfast staff is a simple idea - and here (because of all they do) a good idea. They earn it, trust me. THANK YOU BWP! -- Bob F --
If you are a Diamond member, you will be treated like a homeless person asking for a free room. The front desk staff both morning and night did not care about the guest, only about being "overworked" and how issues affected them, not the guest.
If you've never stayed at a Best Western Plus, you are in for a happy surprise. This is a huge step up from a typical Best Western, and a far better value in terms of comfort vs. the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express that are close by in Garden City. This hotel feels very high-end and far exceeds expectations for the price.
This was my first stay at a Best Western "Plus". Far and away the nicest Best Western I've stayed at in the USA. The property is nearly new, making for a trouble-free stay. Pleasant staff, fresh hot breakfast, a K-cup coffee maker and small fridge in the room. All good - perfect for my needs.
This is a great place to stay with very friendly and caring staff members. Breakfast is home cooked food and beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable! Kuerig coffee machine in each room, large TVs, large rooms.
This may have been the best motel I have ever been in. A 2 bed suite with fold out couch, refrigerator, and microwave. Room had a high ceiling and was very clean. Excellent climate control. Very quiet and well built. Very good breakfast buffet and super friendly staff. Easy access to main roads, and near quite a few restaurants and shopping areas. Highly recommended.
This hotel was exceptional. Friendly staff from the front desk to breakfast the next day. Rooms were elegant. Breakfast was great, served on real dishes and glasses. The rain showerhead was wonderful. Great hotel all around. There was an indoor pool, exercise facility and a business center. I did not use these on this visit..
When i travel for work, I am not usually moved either way about my choice of hotel, but in this case, I can't say enough! My room was beautiful and very spacious. In fact, the entire hotel was just gorgeous, very warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The full breakfast was hot and delicious. I will definitely stay in a Best Western Plus again!
We are regular Best Western customers and have come to appreciate the consistent level of comfort and value but the Garden City property is truly in a class by itself. So why is it in GardenCity, the stockyard center of the country?
The hotel was in great shape, breakfast was good, and the staff was fantastic. The even used their personal care to pick me up from and take me to the airport. I will most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Garden City area.
Everything was great during my stay except the floor of the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There was a significant amount of hair on the floor in the bathroom. Granted, I did not report it, I just cleaned it up with a wash cloth myself to save time. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, the breakfast was very good, the bed was comfortable, the room was nicely decorated, the Keruig coffee maker in the room was wonderful, the wi-fi worked great, the room was quiet and well insulated against both inside and outside noise. I was traveling with family and an infant, and I was able to accommodate our infant son in the room just fine. The hotel clerk at the front desk during check-in recommended a great steakhouse for dinner. I believe it was called Sam's. Not the one they offer a discount at, but the other good one in town. Higher end restaurant, but when you've been on the road for 12 hours with an infant in the car, it's nice to get a sit down dinner and relax with good food.
Ok, this is a 5 star rating based on expectations of a $110 per night hotel room, not a St. Regis. I was pleasantly surprised upon check in. The hotel appears brand new, everything is super clean, nice staff, indoor pool, free wifi, large room, and the bed is very clean and comfortable. This place is comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
The decor in this hotel was outstanding as well as the staff. Breakfast served on real dishes..now that is a real step up! Since we arrived late it was wonderful to be offered a choice of snacks from the menu in the lounge to enjoy with a glass of wine.
5 Star Hotel the best in Garden City. It hard to believe this is in such a remote place. Mark the manager is very helpful. Built very well have stayed at all the other major chains this is the best. Built in 2014.
One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. Of course it is only about 1 year old. The bed was almost as comfortable as our Tempurpedic Allura bed. The only drawback would be the pillows. I would rather have king size pillows instead of the 4 smaller pillows. The bath room was very nice and had a wonderful shower head. The breakfast was good and the food seemed fresh and well prepared. One thing, it was dark when we arrived and it was hard to find the way to the hotel. The Best Western sign was small and overwhelmed by the Holiday Inn Express sign.
Went to meet with some from old friends. Had a great experience. The hotel was super to us. The staff and service was exceptional. Will definitely use this hotel the next time I need a place to stay and meet friends.
The hotel was wonderful, well located, very new. Breakfast was above average with a very friendly staff. Beds where quite comfy and the rooms were neat and clean. Only thing that we wished was that the pool opened earlier then 10am.
This is a nice place to stay with the exception of the front desk help. The rooms are very nice. Beds are very comfortable. Décor is up to date and very comforting. Break fast was good but seems ;ike they run out of items early.
Brand new hotel, very courteous staff, specious rooms, good breakfast, and excellent location near restaurants --fast food and sit in, next to shopping as well and just at the outskirts of Garden City KS
The Best Western Plus Emerald Inn & Suites is a MUST! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is amazingly friendly and the rooms are large. The beds are crazy comfy and everything is very clean. The pool is beautiful and if you have kids this is the place for you!
This hotel was perfect for my needs, I stayed here for four days. The excercise room was better than most for the size of hotel. It has a very good hot tub and pool area. The breakfast is just slightly above average but still good. A couple of hot items daily plus oatmeal and pancakes. The double room is a little tight along with the bathroom, but I really like the entry area with "wet bar." The wi-fi was slow when I tried it, I used my own hotspot for most of the stay. The staff was always friendly. I would definitely recommend.
"Amazing" says it all, but I'll add a little. Top Best Western in which I have ever stayed. New hotel(a BW Plus). Double queen suite was roomy with a high ceiling and two fans. Excellent setup with a couch, chair, table, two lamp stands. Even had two TV's!! I've never seen that before. Great beds. Great décor everywhere. Staff were terrific. Great value for the money. You will love it, guaranteed.
Beautiful hotel fulfilling all your possible needs. Great breakfast spread, Wi-Fi, business center, exercise room and pool. Caring, personable staff. Beautiful rooms with upscale décor and amenities, Would definitely stay at this property again!
This Garden City Best Western Plus was a complete delight! It's a new motel and the distinctive design throughout will surprise you. The only problem we encountered was getting to it since it is behind another hotel property and the sign was hard to see from the direction we were traveling. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the lobby is beautiful with unique details like the bubble wall fountains, light fixtures and blue and white clouds painted on the ceiling of the pool area. The best of everything continues in the room with luxury linens, thick, fan-folded towels, and spa-like shower head. The room had a little bar area with refrigerator and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Super fast internet, too. Even the artwork was thoughtfully selected and had great Kansas themes unlike the awful generic stuff in most motels. Breakfast was delicious with an extensive selection of items across a long buffet. All in all, a Plus WOW experience.
