The front desk clerk at check in told us that we were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite. Great. Now the bad news. It was a measured more than 1/8 mile from the front desk, one floor up in an elevator, and another one floor up a flight of stairs. We are seniors and had luggage. We requested no upgrade, just the room we reserved on the first or second floor closer to the elevator. While he was polite, he didn't resolve our problem. But, "Thank you for being a Platium Rewards Member." Wow. That made us feel great as we schlepped our bags the length of the building and up a flight of stairs.
Requested a accessible room and after we moved into the room realized it was not accessible. Not a total deal breaker, but it was an inconvience. Room was nice but not what we requested. The desk didn't seem to want to make it right, just jotted a note down on a piece of paper.
Highest rated hotel we have been to on our entire visit to Montana this summer. Hospitality was excellent and the customer service was outstanding! Everyone we encountered was willing to go that extra mile for us. Our room was fabulous, extremely comfortable bed and chairs to sit on. The shower was exhilarating and very clean. Then the biggest surprise was a menu breakfast was included. We had the Country Fried Steak with eggs and very crispy hash browns, and the sausage gravy was delicious. The Tex Mex Omelette tasted just like a Taco. The rye toast on both plates was fresh, thickly cut and just enough butter to enhance the flavor of the bread. We were very impressed with everything about our stay, even though we didn't win in the casino. They had one area with smoking which was so disgusting, but we spent most of our time in the 2 other areas where there was no smoking.
The most charming place to rest, dine and play slots. We come here for a couple days as often as possible. Bonners Ferry is a wonderful rural experience. Mugsys bar is a favorite. There are great quilt shops, grocery shopping and antique shops.
Price was more than other hotels, but the rooms were clean. The balcony upgrade proved worthwhile. Great if you plan to spend some time in your room with great views of the river. Great design so you feel like you are all by yourself. Clean. Best staff around.
Yes the pillows and the bed are great the hole room was great and clean we like the river side rooms because of river and the wild life and we get the morning sun the meals were all great deli was good check in was great all of the staff is and there seams to be some cleaning all the time
Another great stay at Kootenai River Inn. This establishment is very well managed, as evident by the level of service. All employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have stayed at this hotel for decades and have found it has both consistent and considerate service throughout.
The view from our room was fabulous. Make sure to try and request a River view. Loved the fact there was a Casino in the lobby and all the amenities. Highly recommend visiting if you are passing through Bonner's Ferry, Idaho this was the best quick decision we made and thank goodness there was availability in the area. There is even an underground walk-through tunnel to ‘cross under the street' with more access to other amenities including a Museum (it was closed by the time we arrived and departed). Check out Best Western Plus you will not be disappointed 💜
This Best Western in Bonner's Ferry is a boutique feeling hotel. For family has every thing you need. The scenery is wonderful. No traffic noise. Rooms well appointed. Staff will assist in request. The restaurant on sie, go no further. Excellent.
Very nice hotel in Bonners Ferry. Great location. Room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Beautiful view of the river and a nice balcony to sit out on. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was free in the restaurant which was a nice touch instead of the usual offering at hotels. Would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend this hotel.
Quite relaxing, local CASINO with great service and friendly faces a must stop if visiting the northwest
I had best western 100.00 gift certificate, that 2 different staff, had no idea how to apply it. I had to get going - not knowing if I ever got the 100.00 applied to room. If Best Western is going have promotions on stays, they need to train there staff, on how to use the certificates . I'm very disappointed.
Great place to stay and relaxing. Quick check in and check out, super helpful staff, and amazing breakfast! Sit right by the river and just watch the waves :)
We always love visit the casino. Our rooms are always very clean with comfortable beds and a great view of the river.
My recent stay at the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa was incredibly disappointing. The incessant noise from passing trains kept me awake throughout the night, robbing me of much-needed rest. To add insult to injury, the hot water wasn't functioning on the first morning of our stay, causing significant inconvenience. While they offered to relocate us to another room, the lack of any compensation for the disruption was disheartening. Moreover, the dining experience at the Springs Restaurant and Lounge was far below expectations for a Plus-rated establishment. The food quality was subpar, leaving a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. Overall, my experience fell far short of what I anticipated, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Wonderful river view room with a price that was unbelievable. The redone rooms were so nice and had a luxurious feeling.
We drive over 300 miles just to stay here. We enjoy gaming and short get-a-ways. We could go several closer hotels but non is as relaxing and rewarding as this Bonners Ferry location.
This was a great mini vacation, my husband and I stayed 2 nights, it was a great stay. All employees at the hotel, casino and Restaurant were very helpful and made sure we were taken care of if I had any questions.
Good Hotel, Casino is getting very bad. Every time casino starts building something they don't stop paying out. It also would be nice if they changed up the game selection. One great thing about this hotel is they like dogs.
Room was spacious with lots of windows warm and nice and clean. Very impressed with service I received at restaurant and will be visiting again very soon spa treatment was supurb very clean and comfy with an excellent staff casino was a great time not over crowded plenty of machines to play great variety very satisfied customer
The rooms are excellent. The beds are soft and comfortable. The rooms are large. They have all the amenities you would need. You get just a slight sound of trains once in a while but overall it is pretty quiet. You also have a restaurant, deli and gaming right there. I enjoy this hotel.
Sadly, worst night I've ever had there. Had to bring to attention the room was urinated in and somehow housekeeping missed the strong order and obvious mess (see photo) I had to ask for compensation as non was offered, they gave me a free breakfast coupon. I brought to management next day. They were never informed of my ordeal. I was then offered $20 in dining. I missed out on happy hour deals, due to moving three times. The night hotel housekeeper was cordial and apologized for day housekeepers. The carpets all need professional cleaned, the drapes all need cleaned. Makes me nervous about what else has been missed. Hopefully they go through each room after this.
Our favorite place to stay. Great people. We feel at home where staff know us and always greet. We stay there usually 2 times a month. When our grandkids come they always love the pool and hot tub. Great place.
This hotel has clean rooms, a restaurant with great service, and many nearby activities. The rooms have a great riverfront view with pleasant amenities. The pool and hot tub are well kept. The housekeeping staff are also friendly while being thorough in cleanliness.
Polarizing property. Beautiful river and fantastic staff on one side. 6-12 trains per night with most blasting their horn just a few hundred feet away. Until a Quiete Zone is established for the trains passing through this should be a day use only facility.
From check-in to check out, terrific staff! Enjoy the river views from your private patio. Extremely clean, quiet and comfortable rooms! Be sure to enjoy an outstanding meal or two from the restaurant, with attentive staff, a menu with a variety of food options.
Stayed three days and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our room was very spacious , so clean and comfortable .Great pool and hot tub area. The restaurant on premises is so convenient with a nice patio overlooking the Kootenai river. The food is very good. They serve an ice cream dish called Kootenai Log....delicious!! Nice to relax for some fun time at the on sight Casino as well Ron & Nancy Canada
Rooms very nice overlooking river. Quite lovely. Biggest complaint is carpeting in corridors was gross. Restaurant pretty good-food tasty . Beds comfortable. Overall good stay and experience. Rooms clean and well appointed
Beautiful -mostly quiet (except for wildlife) - great view of river and plain relaxing. we will return there in the near future. Great get away off Highway 2 weather you are headed to Montana or Canada
Room with view of river, room is very clean, well stocked, staff was very friendly and accomidating. Always a pleasure to stay here. Food was great and was delivered in great time, one gets a free breakfast with each night you stay. There is a patio overlooking the river one can sit and eat on . Our room was restocked and bed made up by the time we were done with breakfast.
Clean hotel, very friendly staff, always seem to be willing to work with you on your check in times and out. Showers are amazing. I stayed in this hotel on 3 occasions this year and really had an exceptional experience every time.
Great place to stay!! Great rooms but avoid the restaurant. The food is unfortunately not good here. Had the pork chop and they mixed in apple au jus with the mushroom risotto and just ruined it. My wife's steak was burnt. At breakfast, the eggs were not fully cooked and not pleasant.
Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Did play for an hour or two in the Casino. Service in the restaurant and quality of food was excellent. The bartender was concerned that she had to make two separate trips to the table because we both had blended drinks and she only had one blender so she was very apologetic. Then she came back to ensure that our drinks were satisfactory. They were delicious....huckleberry daquiri and strawberry margarita.
The town is small and beautiful. The refuge is definitely worth checking out. It's a great getaway from the city. The casino isn't much. No tables all slots. Beautiful view from the restaurant. Rooms were clean. Balcony was cute. A great place to get away from the rat race. Great weather in July!
Maria at the front desk was amazing. Great customer service. Casino has three different rooms. 2 are non smoking 1 is smoking. The smoking room is bad. No ventilation, just smells. We did win some money had lots of fun. Don't use the ATM,s. Every time you take out larger sums they charge you a Hugh amount. Say you take out $800.00 it will cost you 24.00 dollars. We finally went to the bank and used the ATM cost was 5.00 dollars. ATM,s are a rip off. The rooms in the hotel are amazing. Really nice. We will go back. We will. Bring are own money.
Very clean and nice rooms. Staff has always been polite and helpful. Price was a little high for us but I expected it this time of year. Restaurant was nice and clean. Food was very good as we had dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Waiter and waitress both very good and polite.
This was a trip to visit my son on father day and surprise him from flying in from south carolina to spend a few day with him and his family. I made my reservation at least 45 days in advance and requested rooms on the river and ground floor. Which they said no problems when i get there to check in the tried to give me 2nd floor which i told them no that my reservation was ground floor. We go ground floor rooms but was not happy that one of the rooms was for Handicap. Very disappointed with the was it was handled and will not be staying there again when i come back and visit.
Have stayed at the Kootenai River BW Inn several times over the last few years. We have found the staff to be professional and attentive, our rooms have always been clean and nicely appointed, and the views of the river and distant landscape from the attached patio are beautiful. We prefer the second floor rooms to staying on the first to avoid potentially noisy neighbours staying above us. We have found one or two of the A/C units in the rooms can be a bit more noisy than they likely should be.
We've been coming here for years for a weekend getaway from Spokane. The hotel and restaurant are awesome and the casino co-located with the hotel, is great. The rooms are very clean and all of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
First visit to this hotel, a quick getaway with friends. We had a riverview room, nice little balcony, a bit cold for sitting, but the view was pretty. Room was clean, comfortable, modern, bed was comfy. There's only one restaurant, but they had several selections for dinner and breakfast; everyone in our group had different items and all were tasty. We especially liked the sweet potato pancakes with bourbon butter, delicious and huge! There were enough games at the casino to entertain us for the evening, pool area nice and well-maintained, staff was friendly and efficient.
Had a great time in the Casino. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and well kept. The rooms are upgraded and the beds are just the right , not too hard or too soft. I highly recommend. The river side rooms have balconies with a great view
Great place to stay and pet friendly. Great food and drinks. Very clean casino. Friendly staff. We always stay at Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa when we are in the area. We really enjoy all of our stays there.
This review is based on the casino only. On our way to CDA Casino, we stopped in at Kootenai River Inn Casino for an hour on Christmas day. We still have our membership cards, but didn't bother to use them. They had a few new slot machines, but still had many of the old ones. There weren't many people in the casino, so it was very quiet. In past years, we spent a few weekends here each year (and usually Christmas) and always looked forward to our visits. However, the slot machines got so ridiculously tight that even with 20 free spins you were lucky if you won $10. In addition, the casino chose to stop sending offers for free rooms, dining discounts and free play. They now send us offers for reduced room rates, which we choose not to accept, but I think ‘nostalgia' brings us back for a drop-in visit from time to time. While Kootenai River Inn seems to do an OK business on their rooms, they appear to have lost a lot of business in their casino, and seem to be ‘shooting themselves in the foot'. I know that we used to spend hundreds of dollars each in the casino, each day of our stay. It's just such a shame how the casino has crumbled. We miss how it used to be. We now go to a much bigger and more beautiful casino that sends us offers for free rooms, dining discounts and free play. Our money seems to last longer and the slot machines actually pay out from time to time. Hopefully, the Kootenai River Inn Casino will be able to pick themselves back up in the future and maybe get some of their previous customers/guests back.
The rooms are very nice and right along the river. It is comfortable, quiet except for the occasional train and I like the Kurig coffee machines. It is also nice to be right down the hall from dining and the casino.
Just all around great stay. The room was very spacious and clean! Breakfast was amazing. The Entry was beautifully decorated in Christmas theme. The casino was also fun and clean. The pool and Hot tub was fun for the kids. Will stay again.
We came to town for my nephew's birthday. This place was wonderful! From Jessica from the Front Desk, to the great staff in the restaurant, everyone made our stay there fantastic. The room was beautiful and spacious, the shower was great and never got cold, even when all 3 of us showered back to back. They also were dog friendly and welcomed all my dogs there. We plan on staying here everything we come to town. Thank you!
Excellent clean and comfortable room. Fast and friendly check in. Had my dog and he loved it too. Whole building is clean, friendly, coffee or tea in room. Hot tub, yummy Deli lunch available. Lots of parking.
We enjoyed our 1 free night at Bonners Ferry, but we're very disappointed that we lost all our points from the Casino. This was supposed to be a complimentary room from Best Western, and for some reason, they charged us 28,000 Best Western Points!! We didn't know this until we got back to Edmonton and we're able to check our emails! The River View was very nice.
Every time that we have stayed at the Kootenai Hotel we have had exceptional service from the time we check in until the time that we check out. We would 100 percent recommend this Casino to anyone. The only complaint that we would have was that we walked out this time with no money. Other then that it was a great experience. Also I forgot to mention the quality of the mattress I had a great nights sleep.
An excellent place to stay. Our first time here and we were very pleased with all the hotel had to offer. Food at dinner time was very good. Breakfast was not to my liking but was replaced and the second attempt was much better.
Couldt find my room. After searching hotel from top to bottom. Turned out my room was in the other building. Just wish they would of told me at check in. Cuz carrying a sleeping baby and luggage through the whole hotel is quite difficuly
Uncaring staff, front desk had three people and all seemed unpleasant. No best western rewards recognition or acknowledgement. Room was dated with uncomfortable furnishings Great river view.. Restaurants was excellent for dinner but not well staffed for breakfast. Overpriced
We travel 5 hours to stay in this hotel resting quietly beside the river. Every aspect of our stay was marked by friendly, local staff. Our favorite rooms are in the older, but updated, wing next to the river. Breakfast offers three free options that include eggs, hashbrowns and bacon or sausages. My husband and I usually avoid sausage, but the sausages here are mild and tender. I recommend this option if you like eggs and potatoes. Lighter options are also on an extensive breakfast menu. No plastic forks or styrofoam plates here. Cloth napkins, real service ware and china are standard. Although the hotel has an older wing-it is still our favorite. If you like small-town warmth and local experiences-this is a place to treasure.
Beautiful setting and very relaxing. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and we got a good nights rest on comfortable beds. This is a place we would definitely go to again and recommend to friends
seeing and hearing the Kootenai river near the Inn in itself relaxes me ! Staff and facilities make it all the more! always a treat when "go to" server Felix is working when I dine in the restaurant, along with the other servers and staff. everyone is cordial, friendly, professional. food good too! Julie and Marva are Great at reception too! NOW IF ONLY the machines were more generous!!! :)
The hotel was very nice and clean. Our room was clean and if I came back I would stay in the river view with balcony again. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Nice to have a free breakfast or can order an entree with $3 off. The breakfast was good and hot. I had an omelet. Only suggestion on that would be to use fresh mushrooms instead of canned. The air conditioner in our room was loud and woke me up a couple of times. I did advise front desk and they were going to let maintenance know. We used the pool which was nice. The price could be a bit cheaper and the casino could be a bit looser so we play longer and are willing to come back. We won't be back for a long time due to the machines. Love Bonners Ferry though, it is such a cute town.
Room was clean and the breakfast was great. Stayed one night with my wife and two teenagers before heading to Banff for a few days. We did not use the casino, so I can't comment on that. Staff was nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
A very scenic hotel location right on the Kootenai River at Bonners Ferry. Nice rooms (stayed in lodge building). This is a hotel with a casino and it feels like that clientele is what they are catering to. Complementary breakfast must be taken in the sit down restaurant (which has a spectacular river view). No grab and go or self-service at all. Free breakfast items very limited but you get a $3 discount off any of the (pricy for area) breakfast menu items. Very convenient location to town center restaurants and shops.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at the Kootenai River Inn. Top notch facility, great food, beautiful views of Kootenai River and nice pool. This hotel has something for everyone from a enjoying a nice cocktail in the lounge to having fun in the Casino.
Went up for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Enjoy the casino and we love the rooms with the balcony's and view from the balcony. Food is always good at the on-site restaurant. Nice to get an actual restaurant meal with room.
Great hotel, staff and amenities. The onsite restaurant is very good, and all the staff are friendly and answer questions. Beautifull location and the beds were very comfortable. Very clean. I played in the nonsmoking casino, but you can still smell smoke, but I am very sensitive to the smell. Would be great if there was no smoking but understand those who enjoy playing while not having to leave the casino.
Very clean and fresh rooms. The king beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Facility is very clean and the staff is friendly. If you like slots, there modern. Restaurant service is fine and the food was better than expected. Can't beat the river view.
We always enjoy coming here. We are not big gamblers, so we come more for the camaraderie, excellent food and great value. It is nice to come to a place where the employees genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Very friendly atmosphere,
This Best Western has it all !!! The rooms are comfortable and have a beautiful view of the Kootenai River. The restaurant is very nice with a value menu and good food. The Casino is great fun and the Staff is exceptional.
Clean and quiet. Nice breakfast and central to Copper Falls, Mrytle Falls and Snow Falls which are awesome in spring! The drawback while we were there was people were eating Chicken wings and pizza at the pool and there were food Floaties in the water. We would definitely go back!
I have stayed here several times and it is the place that I choose for friends and family to stay when they are in town. Great room very clean and comfortable Friendly service from the employees Good tasting food and priced right
After delivering my grandson to his Dad in Spokane I didn't want to drive all the way back to Kalispell in one day. A drive up to Bonners Ferry to relax and enjoy dinner was perfect at the Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa. The room was clean and spacious with a modern decor. My 3 year second grandson old forgot his stuffed animals in the room and they were delivered to my home quickly and cleaned with a nice note from the hotel. Will definitely go back.
In terms of value and quality for amount paid, this was great value for sure. Nice clean modern rooms with a full hot breakfast served in the restaurant. Also there is a beautiful swimming pool and the casino is a nice feature. Hard to beat.
Fantastic resturant in the hotel, great customer service. Got free breakfast vouchers which was awesome. The rooms were very nice, clean and quiet. Employees were all very happy and helpful. The hotel is literally right across the street from town with some shopping, and restaurants.
everything was great excepct we lost money in the casino and I swore that i booked a river view room but got a swimming pool view instead that said the room was very nice and exceeded our expectations
I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to be staying in the Bonners Ferry, Idaho area. It has a very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, an excellent restaurant and bar, and a casino. It's not lacking anything for a place to stay.
Checked in march1 2022 came from canada spend three great days there every one was friendly place was very clean service was great went to spa the second day was excellent staff was great the slot were all updated from my last stay never seen so much cleaning staff all day every day
Always a great place to stay. The breakfast is fantastic. It is made to order and comes with juice or coffee. They have a non smoking slot machine area which I prefer. Will stay again. The location is conveniently located to downtown. We walked to dinner and shopping.
The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The service staff is excellent. It makes for a great stay with relaxing rooms and the casino just seconds away. They do also have a nice restaurant and deli. This is one of the best places I have stayed lately.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS ALWAYS! The people our very nice and they go out of their way to help and make your stay great! The food is always excellent and there's always something new. The rooms are always clean and the front desk is very helpful.
Very generous breakfast vouchers came with our Jacuzzi room. Loved the Jacuzzi and having a fireplace created such a cozy, romantic atmosphere. The bathroom came stocked with shaving cream, 2 disposable razors, 2 combs, 2 toothbrushes with mini toothpaste tubes, shower cap, make-up removal wipes, plus bar soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There were K-Cups to go in the mini Keurig. A large mini fridge plus another smaller one. A beautiful mountain and river view from our private balcony. Annnd, the lovely Spa was very close to our room! Definitely want to stay there in a Jacuzzi suite again!!!!
The front desk staff was great, we arrived without a reservation and she was able to get us adjoining rooms to accommodate us and our children. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodations were comfortable and modern and the rooms were large. Great pool area and breakfast options.
The food is great, friendly staff and clean rooms. They need to work on their heat control. This place has a casino and the rooms were so cold you had to wear your winter coat. It was very uncomfortable.
I love this Hotel and Casino !! I love the staff they are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The Casino is fun and has lots of variety to choose from it offers hourly draws and Happy Hour drinks.
We stayed here 3 nights (we had two rooms) over the Thanksgiving holiday. One room was in the main building (the one with the casino) and the other room ended up being over in the addition. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept up. The river view room (main building) did not have what I would consider an actual river view as you can't see the river from the bed as they laid the beds out on the opposite side of the slanted doors that lead to the cute little balconies with their adorable chairs and table. When I asked front-end staff about this, they did make an effort to find a room that was laid in correct way to allow for an actual view of the river from the bed. Hallway carpeting looked a bit worn and there is a smokey smell in the hallways (in main building) but they had a shaded pattern that goes one way, so it's not like you are in a Vegas hotel hallway where the hallway looks like you are going to enter another dimension because the pattern is so busy and repeats all the way down the hallway, lol. Hallways in the addition building did not have this odor. This is a pet friendly hotel (with additional charge for pet) but there is no real pet area near the main building. For morning walk there is a blank dirt area near the main-door and our dog would whiz there and then we ended up going around the corner (on the left side as you face main door) and let our dog us a small grassy area a short-ways from the staff break area. For longer walks, we went through the pass-through tunnel (to the left of main doors) and walked him in the grassy areas there that are a part of the Bonners Ferry Welcome Center. There are no poop bags provided near either the main building or near the ‘pet' area of the addition building. In fact, in that area, my husband took the dog once there and was so disgusted by the amount of dog feces left by other visitors that we just used the pass-through tunnel for longer walks. So, BRING SOME DOGGIE SANITARY BAGS. Breakfast was included and was well prepared with nothing being over cooked and eggs being done at your preference. I like mine over hard and chef did a great job of getting the entire yolk hard without drying out the entire eggs. Bacon and ham (you pick one or the other) was also well prepared and not dried out. There is a small casino associated with this BW and we did lose a few dollars there. Staff here was also very friendly and polite. We did not try any of the spa offerings on this trip. We would stay here
Was highly disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the odor. Paying 300+ a night in a jacuzzi sweet where the jets wouldn't turn on and orange water coming out. The people above us were very loud and stomped all night long. Was definitely not a good night's rest
Beautiful to wake up on the Kootenay River. Beautiful rooms. All rooms face the river, so you are guaranteed a view. Wonderful restaurant. The Best Western in Bonners Ferry, good price point, clean, great staff.
I do so enjoy staying @ The Best Western Kootenai Casino. So friendly and accomodating, it's like coming home to family. Very clean facility in every aspect. Dining is excellent and I enjoy the games in the Casino. All in all I highly recommend this Best Western facility.
Hotel staff is very good. Highly recommend the hotel. Beautiful setting. We are regular visitors. Restaurant staff and meals are always excellent. We live in Spokane and consider this a very nice getaway.
Great customer service. Complementary hot serviced breakfast in a nice restaurant. Staff are very friendly. I forgot my belongings at the room after check out. When I got home, I gave them a call to let them know. A few days later, they called me back, let me know that they found my stuff and would ship it to me.
This has to be the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. The room was very large, balcony was small but nice, bathroom wasn't cramped. The only reason we didn't give it five stars is that the only elevator is near the lobby and we had to walk quite a long way to get to our room. Food in the restaurant is decent. Loved that they had a salad bar. And they have two non-smoking casinos. If we ever find ourselves in Bonners Ferry again, we will definitely stay here
The rooms are very nice. I did notice that they are cutting down on amenities like shampoo and coffee. There was still plenty to get by and I carry extra just in case. I think it is a great little get away. There is a little noise from the trains going by but not bad.
Great place to stay, excellent breakfast, very professional staff. Great parking, Did not go to the casino. Nice restaurants nearby. Attended a wedding off site in the mountains. Beautiful area. Its close to the Canadian border, but it was closed due to covid.
Good hotel and somewhat of a casino ...good location to go on day trips. Stayed at hotel for honeymoon as everything else was booked up where we wanted to go, being that I had stayed at this hotel previously , it made for a great place to stay and make day trip over to Montana to Hot spring soak.
First of all I just want to say everyone here is amazing. The staff, the managers, everyone. Tom Turpin in particular, made sure we were set to check in, (breakfast vouchers are a must) you get them daily. He showed us around the beautiful place and made our stay a complete success. I highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for a fun peaceful time. Whether you are alone, with the boys, or with the family this place fits every situation great. Gamble a little, play some slots, eat at the restaurant and explains the town. It's an all in 1. I have already planned our next trip here and can't wait to come back and see all the levels of beautiful bonners ferry has to offer. Thanks again Tom!
I travel 300+ per year - the entire experience front to back, in every way, was a 10!! Check in and checking out, beautiful rooms / bathrooms!!, the lobby, the views, the restaurant, ALL of the staff - even the local town was wonderful to visit, shop, eat, walk about - All around wonderful!!
The hotel was clean. Our room was on the river and just as nice as the pics show. Every single employee was wonderful and the food at The Springs was excellent. Check in and out process was smooth. We would love to go back.
My room smelled like urine. I complained and they sent someone out to clean it and it made it smell worse. For a 198 dollar room we were completely disappointed. Still had to pay full price. We were supposed to get a free breakfast in the morning with the purchase of our room. The wait time was so long we left
It is at the upper end of my normal price range but the rooms are very nice and it is a fun place to stay. The casino is right there, they have a good restaurant and the staff is great. It made for a relaxing but fun trip.
We booked 2 days of spa treatments and one overnight stay. The first day at the spa they did the scalp treatment right before a haircut so they washed all the oils out, we were told we could pay for another treatment the next day during the massage to get the full benefits of the treatment we had already paid for. We had also scheduled a second hair appointment and they had changed what service she was to receive without letting her know. Then they cut the service she was receiving short because they had scheduled another appointment. She was told she could come back and finish her service at a different time. When we got done being screwed at the salon we tried to go have a few cocktails before dinner. There's no lounge. You either have to sit in the smoking slot room playing slots or have to eat in the restaurant. The restaurant was good though. The beds are hard as a rock. We got no sleep all night, there were kids running up and down the hall, slamming doors, someone had their phone ringing all night long and the train horn blasting made it difficult to sleep. We gave up trying to sleep and tried to make coffee. I ripped a fingernail off trying to get the kurig out of the cubby hole it was stuck in. Then it didn't work. There's nowhere to find coffee so we drove across town to the Texaco to find coffee, then sat in our car while waiting for the restaurant to open. After the horrible experience in both the spa and the hotel we ate breakfast bagged our appointments at the spa the next day and left as soon as we finished breakfast.
I went during the week with their weekday special. The hotel was very very clean, Staff was very nice and they had sanitation stations all over both sections of the hotel. Their breakfast was very good. They have a really good restaurant there and their specials were good price.
The Kootenai River Inn is wonderful place to stay. The rooms in Falls Lodge are spacious and luxurious. The food in the hotel restaurant is fantastic and the view is wonderful! We received friendly service throughout our stay. Take a walk downtown via the tunnel and check out the shops.
We thought this would be a great hotel to get away for a night mr let the kiddos swim. The getting away was nice but the hotel was average. Room cleanliness was not that great. I had to clean the bathroom sink out because there was a bunch of debris all over the sink from something. The next morning making coffee with the provided coffee machine and K-cups our coffee somehow got grounds in our cup so I looked at the coffee machine. It was clogged and I ended up wiping a bunch of old coffee residue that made me to never want to use a coffee machine at a hotel ever again.
My husband and I like to get away for a night. We have stayed here before and all the employees are nice, friendly and welling to help you with anything. The rooms are always clean and roomy. Maria at the front desk is always nice and answers all your questions for you. Tawnery at The Restaurant is always nice and polite and knows about the area. The restaurant is clean and has a variety of food you can pick from. If you just want a bit to eat and not a meal the Deli has a variety of food and free popcorn. The Casino is nice and clean and they have some nice new machines and always something else going on.
Clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. And there is a casino here.. win-win. Very beautiful area, all rooms face the River and mountains. Breakfast is grade A. Gym is near and clean, pool is crystal clear. Totally a home away from home
Friendly staff. Great rooms. Beautiful setting. Delicious food. Allowed for pet. Great Spa pricing. Close to home; great getaway. Covid-19 safety observant. Good television channel selection. Amazing shower!
Snow accumulations 3" on Christmas day. Driving up to Bonners Ferry & will be at families until late in evening. Staff was very accommodating & a room was CLEAN. This is not a big metropolitan city. These are local residents who do not make the big bucks. Great team. On Christmas day. Thanks.
Such a lovely little town. So, so pleasant---the entire staff! The food in the restaurant was wonderful! The price for a river view room was outstanding. Will be visiting again in the spring to see everything in bloom.
Wonderful setting on the river and mountains in a quaint logging town, with train rumbling through. Fully enjoyed the stay, with a great friendly personable staff. Have fun if you go, you won't be disappointed.
I go to Kootenai River Inn in Bonners Ferry, Idaho several times a year for a pleasurable stay and gambling. Rooms have been newly renovated therefore creating a relaxed atmosphere and pleasing amenities. I always enjoy my time there and the Springs Restaurant has great food to please any pallet. I highly recommend this Hotel and will be back soon.
When we visit this location we never leave the hotel because everything is in your reach. Restaurant is delicious! Also the deli has some other alternatives if your hungry. The spa girls are great and nice!
I cannot say enough good things about ALL aspects of our stay!!! We were met at the front entrance by a staff member checking temperatures, but COVID measures were evident throughout. From masks being worn, to the constant disinfecting, the staff is serious...including the casino staff wiping down chairs and machines as soon as a guest stood up. The restaurant provide great food at a good value. Guests who stay, receive a breakfast voucher that can be used on specific items at no cost, or may receive a deduction off their meal. The food all around was excellent, and the staff is very good! The casino has an incredibly generous reward program. Guests can take receipts from either hotel stay, meals, or purchases, and have that money applied to their rewards! After 3 nights we left with sweatshirts, and free play! I had heard the casino was tight (here are only slots and no video poker) well we hit for a couple grand in one night, and continued to win while we were there. The drink service in the casino is also excellent. The hotel and it's grounds were very clean and well kept. We stayed in a junior suite. The fireplace was a great touch! Our room also had a balcony which allowed us to enjoy the Kootenai river, the loons, and the bald eagle that stopped by to fish. Our bed was comfortable, the TV options were nice, and the amenities were appreciated. My only complaint was the separate room for the toilet and the shower. It was a little tight. All of the staff were friendly, cordial, and very helpful. I hope to make it back here again!
Everything was fine , except the TV reception! At night it was absolutely awful! Could only get a shopping network , intermittently! Channels wouldn't change , remote was working , you could see the little light , but had zero effect on the TV! May have been from the smoke in the air as it was Direct TV - Was fine in the morning!
we have been here several times now in the last month, because its the best! Food is great, ask for Brandy as your server at breakfast! She is excellent! Rooms here are clean and all around staff a pleasure to work with! Keep it up you guys!
Kootenai River Inn is a great place to stay. The food was excellent and the portions were perfect. The staff was friendly and polite where ever we were. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. We loved that there was a table to sit at and the Keurig in the room was a great way to start the day along with the spacious shower This covid thing put a damper on visiting the museum and other things we would have done but we made do and enjoyed ourselves masks and all! Thank you all for the wonderful stay.
ootenai River Inn was one of the best hotel/motel/resort experiences we have ever had. Service at all levels was exceptional. The food was at a level of other four or five star establishments we have frequented. The riverside view rooms were of exceptional quality. We booked online and prepaid using Best Western Rewards. Our king-size rooms was less than $100.00 per night which included breakfast in their restaurant. It was an exceptional way to spend our 41st wedding anniversary.
Everyone here is friendly, personable and they go out of their way to ensure that you have a great stay. Ate at the Springs Restaurant and it was excellent. I do not have anything but positive compliments to everyone here.
I was lucky to be placed in the new building. The room was large and nice. It was not real fancy but very nicely done including a very spacious shower that was beautiful. They provided all the necessary items for a very comfortable stay. Good a/c, plenty of coffee, tea etc. In room Keurig. It made for a very nice stay, mostly quiet. The only sound was the occasional train but it was muted.
The biggest complaint was the bed - it wasn't very comfortable. The balcony we got was one of the only ones that doesn't face both directions on the river. Otherwise, it was a nice stay in a clean room at a pretty spot within short walking distance of downtown.
Beautifully landscaped property conveniently located near the Canadian border. We had two rooms and stayed four nights. A complimentary breakfast at the restaurant was available and we normally had dinner there each night. The restaurant was overlooking the Kootenai River with beautiful scenery.
We arrived a little early for check-in and then asked if we could be near someone we were traveling with. They said sure, but ended up putting us on the first floor instead of the 2nd floor we had reserved without telling us. They didn't have the room available right away so we stalled and eventually got one room but the second room wasn't available for well over an additional hour, which ran well past check-in time. They left our relative sitting in the lobby even when the room was ready and they knew she was sitting there. Then we had a really bad experience in the swimming pool, which was that two young men were playing high-speed catch with two baseball sized balls clear across the room from the hot tub to someone in the pool or kids area. They slammed a ball into the glass walls on numerous occasions and I was afraid they were going to break it, and slammed a ball into the towel bin right next to a staff member who jumped but ignored it and didn't tell the guys to knock it off. They were throwing/catching the balls within 4 feet of two women holding babies. The pool area was a little cold but the hot tub was nice. Lobby always smells like cigarettes. Alarm clocks are nailed down to the nightstands so you can't read them while in bed. There was a wide gap at the top of our door so the room was noisy. Loved having the bathrobes to go to the pool! Also loved the cheesecake in the restaurant! Beds weren't as comfortable as many BW hotels.
My wife and I stayed at this Best Western facilty on our way to Banff, Canada. This establishment is about 30 miles from the Canadian border. The city of Bonners Ferry is very small and this might be the only hotel in town. The facility sits right on the river and some rooms have views of the river - ours did not. That said the room was quite large and well appointed. The casino is attached to the hotel by inside corridors. There are two main rooms to the Casino which mostly contain slot machines. One of the rooms is a non-smoking room. Also, attached to the hotel is an eating establishment that severs breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had dinner the night we stayed. Good food but nothing special. The next morning breakfast was included in our hotel cost. Typical breakfast fare but done very well. There is a full bar in the restaurant and most seats in the restaurant have a view of the river. If your traveling through this is a fun place to stay.
Everything was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the lobby is welcoming. The food at the Springs restaurant was excellent. I always stay at the Kootenai Best Western when I travel to Bonners Ferry.
This hotel offers it all. Great rooms, decor, clean, good food and excellent service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. You can park your vehicle, walk through the tunnel to great shopping and some unique store in the little town of Bonners Ferry or stay right at the Hotel and gamble till your hearts content.
This hotel has always been one of our favorites when traveling through the area. And all the rooms have been recently renovated, and are even better! The dining room has also been upgraded and the food is always good. There are smoking and non-smoking casino rooms as well. Lots of free parking too.
We do not have family in town so a few years ago we decided to spend Christmas Eve at the hotel, eat Christmas Eve dinner in the restaurant, swim, open jammies, and leisurely wake up in the morning. Christmas was magically set up at home, so after breakfast we make our way home to open our presents. Before checkout we still have time to head back to the hotel for one last swim before checkout. This tradition has been fun for our family of 3 boys. The staff has always been great. The rooms are wonderful, and the pool is perfect for our energetic boys.
Christmas eve. Staying too long at relatives. Late arrival. Beginning with the corporate 1 800 phone, to walking in the room. Every moment was completely effortless. The front desk employees were waiting for us, at the front desk. NO WAITING!!
We love visiting this Hotel we try to come down at least once a month we introduce the Hotel to new friends all the time. The Hotel is clean and they always have it decorated beautifully for each season. The Spa is fantastic.
After house fire, they made accommodations for 3 adults 1 child and a cat and 5 dogs. We were there for 2 weeks until we found long term lodging. They worked with my insurance company. They are all Angles in my eyes.
My husband, and I went to Bonners Ferry for a weekend getaway for the first time! Glad we picked the Kootenai River Inn. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, had a river view, and a private balcony!Reasonable rates as well. Decent casino. We only had two gripes about our visit:The Jacuzzi was way too small for a hotel, and pool area of that size. And,it needed to be filled with additional water. The 2nd is the free breakfast options. If you wanted a good value you had to pick the bacon, and eggs for a usual $11 menu price. Which was a good deal if you wanted the same thing everyday. Otherwise it was continental breakfast,or yogurt with toast. If you don't want those items they only give you $3 off another menu item. I think considering the menu prices, that $8, or so off would be more realistic. Will definitely stay there again though. Enjoyed it alot!
Sound proofing is great. We could not hear neighbors next door nor upstairs. Bed comfortable, restaurant food was delicious and hot, breakfast served promptly even at 0630. Loved the hot tub and the spa.
We were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again. In the lobby area, you do smell a slight cigarette smell from the casino, but where the rooms were, there was none at all. Our king bed room was spacious, and at the far end of the main building, which was fine for us. Our room was on the third floor, which does not have elevator service, but that was okay for us - rooms on this floor are not good for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The rooms at this far end of the hotel feel like they are almost built out over the river and VERY quiet - no highway noise, and only occasional feint railway noise. Online, the wallpaper in the rooms looks a bit gaudy, but in reality the wallpaper was muted and tasteful. The electric mirror in the bathroom worked well enough for not steaming up, helping us get ready faster. We enjoyed the pool. The hot tub were nice, a bit small, but seemed to have excessive foam at the time of our visit. On check-in, we forgot to ask about breakfast, which turned out to be included for us. It was a lovely breakfast, made to order from a small selection, tasty, and what a great view from the restaurant. One of the highlights for us is the hotel is only a two block walk via a pedestrian-only access to the historic, charming old town, with several restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops, including a fantastic book store. What a find!
We love coming to this resort. We love the friendly family environment. They have very good food in the restaurant with friendly servers. Everything is always nice and clean. We also like to gamble here. It is a great place to visit.
This place is either pleasantly remote or in the boondocks depending on your point of view. Either way, it's a place we would return to in a heartbeat. Our room was spacious and super comfortable with nice amenities. We had a nice view of the river. It's a bit unique to get around the building what with deadends, lots of doors between halls and a tiny elevator. Our friends were at the end of a hall so long they didn't think it was worth repeating their steps to go to dinner. There is Wi-fi in the room and fax is available in the lobby. We didn't use the spa as we arrived late, but did spend some time in the small casino which is nice and has a deli that serves a variety of short order food including, bless them, poutine. The restaurant is pleasant with a nice view and serves absoluely outstanding food with super service. Try their Reuben sandwich. They also serve a complementary breakfast which is a big cut above most complementary breakfasts. All in all, it's a nice place to spend the night or a few days.
Very nice place. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Had a good time, the food in the restaurant is really good. Easy check in and check out. No problems at all Always enjoy visiting Kootenai Casino and Hotel
This is our second visit. Room was nicely appointed, the balcony overlooked the river. We saw wildlife, snow-covered mountains. Used the hot tub facility which was very clean and temperature was good.
I was in Bonners Ferry for an overnight and booked at the Best Western just needing a place to stay. First the good, the room was great. Spacious, two tables very comfortable chair, great shower, very comfortable bed. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and you can order a number of things off the “included” menu or get a discount off the regular menu. Since eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast were included I had no need to look elsewhere. The location is easy in and out and has river views. Next the not so good, this also has a casino so entering the building to check in the smell of smoke is strong. I cannot stand smoke so asked first if smoking was allowed in the sleeping rooms, it is not, so I stayed. The smoke was the only problem, yet it is a big one for me.
The best feature of this hotel is its location with great views of the river and surrounding scenery from the garden and the restaurant. My room was also very large, though from my point of view excessively so and I was very disappointed that it only had a shower. I was worried beforehand about staying in a hotel with a casino attached, but generally this did not have much impact on my visit, apart from the large number of cars making it hard to find a parking place close to my room and a few rather dubious-looking characters in the carpark. The food in the restaurant was reasonable, but the service was terrible.
Beautiful place on the river . Great restaurant with awesome views. Very friendly staff. Very clean and quiet. Great room with balcony. Loved the pool and hot tub. Great to have Casino right in the same building.
We stayed one night in this Best Western, which is part casino, part hotel. Our room happened to be one designed for the handicapped, even though neither of us is handicapped. Although there was carpeting, there was ample room for a wheelchair in the main room (two king beds) and in the bathroom. The bathtub had 4 grab bars--one on either end and two in the middle. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Wifi in the room was free and worked well. Everything was clean. We were in the newer part of the hotel, facing away from the river in room 231. A train track was about two blocks away; the train noise didn't bother us, but if you're noise sensitive, best to get a room that doesn't face in that direction. We had three choices for a free breakfast in the restaurant or $3 off any breakfast entree. I opted for the Continental (included cereal or oatmeal, yogurt or fruit, and toast or English muffin), while my husband got the 2-egg breakfast. He ordered over easy and the eggs came that way. My oatmeal came with brown sugar, raisins, and toasted almonds as well as milk. Breakfast was fine, but not exceptional. Service was good. Our room had a very slight perfume smell, no doubt the result of whatever cleaning products are used. I got used to it, but if you are extremely sensitive to such odors, this would not be the best place to stay. That said, if I were ever in Bonners Ferry, I'd be happy to book a room here again.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Bonners Ferry, Idaho !! The river view rooms are exceptional for the scenery! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable!! All the staff were so very friendly and helpful!!
We had a large, very clean room with tasteful decor in a separate building. Great complimentary breakfast and lots of parking. The restaurant is right on the river with a great view. The staff was welcoming and friendly. This was a welcome surprise on our long drive home. I was glad to have the historical story of this tribe in the room. I think they are doing a great job.
Remodel of rooms and restaurant area has been very successful. We asked for late checkout and were allowed to do so without fuss. Menu has been upgraded very successfully. My spouse walked out in the "green," which is always nice way to end stay!
We had a room in the new building which is called the Lodge. It was large and well appointed. If you would rather have a balcony and river view, then the older building would be a better option, but we loved this room and the large walk-in shower. The included breakfast was great. You have a choice of three set meals, or a discount off the menu items. We also had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good and had live music on the weekend.
Went to the restaurant for lunch this past weekend and could not have been more disappointed. The Caesar salad was warm, drenched in dressing and wilted into a blob in the bowl. I have never seen something like this trying to pass as a salad...The calamari was barely warm, pale as white flour, and looked like it hadn't made it into the deep fryer yet. My husband was quite happy with his burger, it was great-I know because I ate half of it...the portion size was very generous and more than enough for 2. Our server was sweet and attentive but never once asked why most my food was left untouched. Won't be going back unless there are drastic improvements with the food being served.
This BW hotel was clean, quiet, big and spacious room, and friendly staff!!! The restaurant was clean, staff friendly, and sitting outside to enjoy the food and the amazing view of the Kootenai River and wildlife around it!!!
From the clean and well designed parking areas (good number of handicap parking spaces) to the entryway and front desk people, the staff here are well-trained and highly educated in the roles and responsibility of customer service. It is a genuine and well run business and one gets absolutely spoiled by the service. A NUMBER ONE ESTBLISHMENT.
Can't stay somewhere where the general manager sets such poor personal standards. He enforced certain safety rule but doesn't follow them himself. Somehow he doesn't feel that he needs to follow the standards that he sets for himself.
Wonderful place to hold our 60th Class Reunion. Great meeting room with deck and beautiful view of Kootenia River. The buffet was set up beautifully and the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
A very good stay, 3 casinos to choose from if that's your thing. Good food in the restaurant. Staff looked a little green, but hustled, excellent room as always. Water pressure in the shower was good. Nice evening walking area after dinner.
This is a very nice hotel that has been recently upgraded. They need just a few more small improvements to make it a great experience. It is situated very close to the Kootenai River and each room has a very cozy deck with an overlook of the river.
I highly recommend if you are visiting Bonners Ferry stay at the Best Western River Inn & Casino. Rooms over looking the river are well appointed and comfortable; complete with balconies. The restaurant boasts a nice selection and great service. The Casino is in three different rooms, great for non-smokers.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and the views are gorgeous! The on-site restaurant offers dining on the river. Very tranquil. But for the love of God, don't go to the spa. I had my hair done there and the stylist didn't rinse out all of the dye because she was in a hurry. Ended up with dyed fingers, ruined car headrests and blisters on the back of my head/neck from the chemicals sitting for too long on the drive back home.
Our room overlooked the river. It was nice, updated and clean. Very comfortable bed and nice shower. The restaurant had good food & service and was very reasonably priced. They had a nice deck to enjoy dinner outside next to the river. The casino was a huge disappointment. There was six people in our casino hopping getaway group and we all lost hundreds in slots. Very tight and not fun. I would stay there again if I'm on the road, but not as a destination stop. And we will never again go to the casino.
What a great spot for a getaway! All the staff was so nice and the rooms were beautiful with great showers and robes and a nice little deck facing the river. Casino was fun too.. just enough machines to have a good time.. food was great too!
The name Best Western carries for me an expectation of a level of excellence. This place is a casino with an attached hotel. We should have turned around when the haze of tobacco smoke hit us in the entry way. If loud music, dirty floors, no place to walk your dog and long wait times at the restaurant is what you want then you will be happy. We were not.
Such a unique hotel. Had a wonderful stay. The casino was alot of fun. We were able to watch the ducks and geese on the kootenai River from our table in the resaurant and outside our room. Great place to visit.
We have stayed at this property once before and have had great experiences both times. The hotel is clean, the staff are very helpful and the location is great both for access from the highway as well proximity to an area with restaurants and bars.
I enjoy staying at this hotel as it has a lot of extra features that a lot of other hotels do not. I like the free breakfast, free internet, the fact that it is pet friendly and I got a room with a river view. I have stayed in their new section the Falls Lodge and you do not get any sleep with the freight train rumbling through all hours of the night.
My husband was reluctant to stay at a casino hotel, based on past experiences. We were both pleasantly surprised by how upscale, clean, fresh and well managed, this hotel is. It looked brand new. Shower area/bathroom was superb, with euro glass style doors, warm and attractive tiles, granite, etc. Large room. We were in the newer portion of the hotel, separate from the casino. The main dining area had a very nice view and the food, both at dinner and breakfast, was excellent and reasonably priced. Yes, you smelled stale cigarette smoke at the check-in desk, coming from the gaming room, but that's the only place you did. Nice landscaping around hotel also. Little downtown area nearby, with additional dining and small shops. Very pleased with stay.
We had a room at the far end away from the lobby and casino. It was very nice and quiet with a great view of the river. There are railroads that run through the river valley, but they didn't bother us. The casino is very smoky, so I would recommend a room away from it. All in all, we had a good stay and will plan to come back.
Reservations are very easy to make and no hassles. Same applies upon check-out. The staff are very friendly and willing to assist. The hotel has a SPA which we have used and were very pleased with it, as well. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. Lots of parking space available. Would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bonners Ferry,Idaho.
Hotel was nice and right on the river. Liked the room - very comfortable. Liked the Kurig in the room because I carry my own coffee. Restaurant breakfast was nice, better than the standard Best Western gluten fest. :-) Our waitress for breakfast was bright, energetic and cheerful and started our day right.
The Best Western in Bonners Ferry has very nice remodeled rooms with beautiful views of the river. This hotel is super clean and offers great customer service every time we visit. We enjoy eating outside on the river after a great nights sleep. Our first and only choice when staying in Bonners Ferry.
We stayed here on the way and on the way back to Seattle. Hotel rooms have been nicely renovated and if you can, definitely get the river view, they are totally worth it! Rooms each have a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. Make sure you find out where your room is, if you are in the other building it is a long walk from the front desk! Great little restaurant on site with a nice view of the river. The room does include breakfast, they have 3 options for you, or you can take some money off of the bill if you choose something else from the menu.
This is a really nice hotel right on the beautiful river. It's right next to downtown with lots of parking. Great service and clean quiet rooms. The on site restaurant is great too. Also a casino and an indoor pool on site.
the newly remodeled rooms were very comfortable and i enjoyed my stay. the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again when in Bonner s Ferry. The lounge was very nice. The balcony over looked the river and was quite peaceful.
I love the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa .The rooms are nice and clean, the staff was friending and efficient and the food was outstanding. I have stayed here numerious time and it is consistantly good. I look forward to staying there on my next trip.
We are now spoiled. We have stayed in lots of motels from local to Hilton. Our last stay was in Kalispell MT. That was when we discovered that Best Western in Bonners Ferry, ID. had spoiled any other stay for us. We were very glad to have had this experience at Best Western in Bonners Ferry, ID.
Booked a king room, river side - all rooms are non-smoking. Large room, nicely appointed, small deck with two chairs and a table at the rivers edge. Room amenities include air conditioning, luggage racks or storage for four suitcases (amazing). Comfortable king bed, end tables either side, lots of toy plug in options, good lighting, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, fridge, lots of storage, iron and board, bathrobes (2) , safe, table with two chairs and an arm chair with ottoman. Our room had issues with the air conditioning. It was dealt with quickly, we were moved to an upgraded room. We appreciated the quick resolve by the hotel staff. Our room came with a four option breakfast and it was very good, including the coffee. The Inn is a Bonners Ferry treat.
I have stayed there many times and have never had a bad experience. The Deli is quick and convenient, priced just right and the restaurant is very very nice with a wonderful view of the Kootenai river and I often see golden eagles, hawks and Canadian geese flying over, landing and fishing, the rooms have recently been refurbished and it is quite nice to have the built in USB ports for phones, or tablets, etc. They are located by the bedside, another plus. the shower heads are huge and there is plenty of hot water. All the rooms on the river side of the hotel face the river with sliding doors and a patio set to relax on. And all the rooms face the river with the exception of the new lodge recently built. It is actually pretty quiet at night. I have not used the pool but it is large and looks fun and clean.
We enjoyed out stay, room was clean and everyone was very friendly. They were doing some remodeling, but all in all we had a great night get away and would do it again. The only thing that could have been bettered, would have been the service when gambling. We just feel if spending that king of $$$ that we should be getting waited on not having to go get out drinks.
We have stayed here many times and our stays have been great, so this review hopefully will not be reoccurring. Several issues/concerns: someone kept calling throughout the night and early morning on our room phone about every half hour. We talked to the front desk and apparently outside callers can call the hotel and select a room number without any screening. The restaurant was very backed up and it took over an hour to receive our food. Many people around us got up and left out of frustration.
Our room was very nice, good TV and great bathroom. Also, lots of nice hot water. We truly enjoyed just watching the river and mountains from our room and deck. Construction still being done to upgrade the outside and hallways, but this did not affect us.
All staff was very courteous and helpful. Food was great, rooms have just been remodled, look great and are clean. Beds are very comfy! Food in the restaurant was very good and you get a good sized portion. If you like to gamble the casino has a good selection of games.
This hotel is great! We always enjoy our stay and the casino. The town is beautiful as well! The only bad thing this trip was the bluegrass band playing at dinner in the restaurant. Music is fantastic, just that we didn't want the music drowning out our conversation, so we moved back away from the band. The music was good, just not appropriate for us at that moment.
Stayed here before, they are renovating but all good. Room with balcony overlooking the river, pet friendly, water was 15 feet from balcony, outstanding! Room was clean and comfortable. Won money at the casino, they have 3 small casinos, 2 smoking and one non smoking. Tons of parking, we will return!
We stay here at least 3 times a year and not to gamble but on business. The staff is always pleasant, food good and reasonable Especially the free breakfast. Good pool, hot tub And fitness room. Clean and remodeled. Beautiful view on the river!
We started road trip with a nite in Bonners Ferry - chose this hotel as it is Best Western, and is centrally located in town on the river. Check in was quick, room easy to access and well laid out ( and clean). Bonus - it had a small balcony overlooking the river. We were able to walk downtown for supper - just a couple of blocks, and then had a fun evening in the casino. Breakfast was great - as restaurant is all windows overlooking the river, and food and service was excellent .
My travel partner and I definitely found the ideal hotel in closest proximity to family we wanted to visit in Northwest Montana (Troy). Though external renovations detracted (only a little) from the hotel's parking lot appearance, the hotel's interior was spotless and offered large, clean rooms with working Internet, well-laid-out bathrooms (external sink with private toilet and excellent shower) and a really nice restaurant in a town (Bonners Ferry) that doesn't otherwise offer a broad array of lodging and dining options. We had to travel 75 minutes out of our way to stay in Bonners Ferry, but we'll do it, again — the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa is that nice.
Really enjoyed our time. The room was fabulous. The food was great and the staff were all pretty fantastic. They remodeled their rooms and they are really fabulous. The view out our slider of the river was so enjoyable.
Excellent staff and atmosphere. Delicious food from Deli and the Springs Restaurant. My hair dressing appointment went well and the hair dresser was nice. The swimming pool and hot tub were clean. Our guest room was nicely decorated and clean.
Large riverfront rooms with patio. Huge showers. Very pet friendly, though most people do NOT seem to clean up after their pets!! Excellent restaurant staff that seem to enjoy their job. Nice looking pool though did not use.
I took my sister for a spa date for her birthday and had an amazing afternoon! Makayla gave a fabulous massage, and Nancy made my face glow with her exfoliating facial. After a relaxing soak in the Tranquility Tub, we had a delicious snack plate to end our great day! Thank you Pam for our time at the Kootenai River Inn Spa!!
The hote rooml was very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet. We stayed on the river side which was very nice with a patio. The restaurant has a nice menu with excellent food. I highly recommend the Pot Roast dinner and the NY steak dinner. The huckleberry Coffee Cake and huckleberry muffin was exceptional. Staff is wonderful and very accomodating. We will be back.
Nice room right on the river. Quiet, clean and nice. Easily accsessible to downtown. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Super clean ,food was ok+, We would certainly stay here again on our next visit and recommend it to all. The river is a fantastic amenity and sitting on our private balcony was a real treat, 10 degrees warmer would have made it even better. We'll be back.
One of the best hotels in the chain I have stayed at. The room overlooking the river was lovely. We especially enjoyed the very private balcony complete with two bistro chairs and a table. The decor was modern yet soft with subtle and very calming colors. The large tiled shower was quite luxurious. The full service restaurant and lounge overlooking the river had good food and cocktails. We did not use the pool or hot tub but the area looked clean and inviting. There is a fully lighted walking tunnel from the parking lot to the heart of downtown Bonner's Ferry where there are unique pubs and wine. We will return.
This is one of those hotels where we could have stayed longer, had we had the time. We'll definitely return in the future. The room was clean, very spacious with a very comfortable king size bed. There was a mini fridge in the room, which we always use. The pool area looked nice. I didn't check out the gym facility on this trip. Breakfast, which was included was top notch for sure.
This has to be one of the best Best Western hotels in the area. Normally I would not have chosen to stay at a Best Western hotel but this has changed my opinion of the brand, so much so that I joined the rewards program and will consider it while traveling on business.
This is 100% hotel ,restaurant and casino there is there is absolutely no way anyone can complain about this establishment. Great food and good machines polite employees and very nice rooms. And they are pet friendly. Thank you for our stay
My husband and I were able to get a night out of the house. We chose to stay here because neither one of us had ever been. 10/10 it was an amazing stay. When we arrived we were able to upgrade to a Jacuzzi suite with no problem and we absolutely loved it! We WILL be coming back soon.
Everyone of the staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. The room was great and so were the accommodations. The free breakfast far exceeded our expectations! I defiantly will be going back.
This is one of the best places to take your spouse. got to relax and everything was perfect for the weekend. this is a good place to bring a group for the week end nice place to eat or very close to other restaurants. my wife and I will be back very soon Thanks Best western.
Excellent value very friendly helpful staff, beautiful location. Had balcony room looking out over the river to the mountains, was our first stay here but will definitely be back! Great players club too!
This place is home away from home. The staff and services are exceptional. The hotel is newly renovated and has a beautiful view of the river. The in hotel casino is open 24 hours and has a wide range of slots to play.
They have just renovated the interior of the rooms and restaurant.....the rooms are lovely and with the new beds your sleep will be outstanding. The staff is very friendly and go out of there way to ensure you feel like family. Enjoy
Amazing views, excellent staff, awesome food options. I love the easy access to explore the town. Super fun to play in the casino, go hiking, get a massage and overall just a good time. Easy parking, comfy beds.
Having stayed here numerous times before, we have always enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is under renovations which will be nice when completed. Because of the Renos, things were a bit out of sorts this visit. Check in was longer as only one person at the desk. All in all, this hotel is one of our stand by's as it never fails to meet our needs.
The hotel and restaurant are great. The establishment is very nice and comfortable. We regularly pay in excess of $100/ night for rooms and rarely receive the same level of quality and service as was encountered at this establishment. Ritchie
Our room overlooked the river, it was beautiful! The casino had a nice selection of machines to play. We had dinner in the dining room, which overlooks the river. Food was great! Also had a spa day, which was fantastic! If you've never tried a facial, it's the best ever!
This casino has been our favorite for a couple of years, however, our favorite machines were recently removed and replaced with higher betting machines. We now have trouble finding machines we like and within our budget. As well, the machines seem to be paying out less often, at least for us. Our money used to last a little longer (sigh). We like the Bonners Ferry area though, so we will still gamble here, just less frequently. Someone mentioned to us that a casino in Spokane has lower betting machines and decent pay-outs, so we are going to check it out. On a more positive note, we still enjoy the hotel room here. We always book the Standard King and the room is very clean, spacious, attractive, sound-proof and has a comfortable bed and lots of amenities.
This is a great hotel with very good staff. Pillows could have been larger - very small for a king bed, but overall no complaints! Would definitely recommend. For a hotel connected to a casino, there was no smoke odor in the rooms, although there was a bit in the lobby.
Always a pleasure to stay here. Room very nice. Comfy beds. Quiet, unless you waken by the trains. Staff so polite. Housekeeping good. Love the shower. Toilet area quite small though. Good breakfast. Pool & hot tub to enjoy. Casino usually takes your money, but a nice small one, where you don't get lost.
Easy check in with friendly staff. Room was in the lodge - large room, excellent cleanliness, well equipped with comfortable bed. Viewed pool but didn't use it - appeared nice though. Had little flutter at casino - went in the smoke free room which was great - there were also two other casino rooms which were smoking. These are where the small takeout style cafe is , cashiers and bar. Got breakfast voucher for main dining room - had lovely breakfast with river outlook - just shame this was during bushfireS so was covered in a hazy smoke.Paid a little extra to stay here and were glad we did. Highly recommended.
This is a very nice Best Western hotel. Large older building that has been updated with a new Lodge wing that is even nicer. The new wing has larger rooms every room is nice with the big flat screen TV, good beds and great pillows. Lots of power plugs and all the things you expect from BW, small refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board, nice office chair and desk with a table and 2 chairs. The bathrooms are really well done with surface space and a fancy cut rock tile and rain drip faucet shower. Because this hotel has a Casino the breakfast is a voucher in the coffee shop so you order your meal. Easy to upgrade but free breakfast was really nice. Just took longer as you had to order it and wait. The pool is heated with a nice hot tub all inside. The old building has a view of the river. The new building has an elevator to 2 nd floor. Old building has a main hallway that is really hot on a warm day. Downright uncomfortable but the rooms all have good A/C. Rooms clean with a nice staff.
Handicap room had a tub and not a shower. Wasn't able to use it. Food and drink were very good. Room very clean and staff friendly. BNSF railroad runs just behind hotel and can be startling in the middle of the night. Casino a little tight every time we have been there.
We always stop here on our way home from our annual Spokane trip and they never disappoint. Rooms are very spacious and over look the river. You get to sit on your own private patio and watch the sun go down while sipping wine. Location is convenient right off the highway. Dinner on the restaurant patio is very good and relaxing. Service was very good. Quickly becoming one of my favorites. Looking forward to next years trip.
Stayed here 2 weeks. Definitely not your average best western plus. It's billed as a casino but only has slots. Free breakfast voucher, not the usual hot buffet. Room was clean, staff friendly. Would stay here again. Didn't use the spa
Most of the rooms face on to the river so you can sit on your patio and watch the river and birds. The restaurant also has a patio so can enjoy a drink or meal there as well. The rooms are large with nice showers.
The restaurant was very good, the room was pretty good with exception of the pillows! The pool was over ran by kids our entire stay which was very disappointing and we could even go there to relax as the parent obviously used the pool as a babysitter while they gambled! We checked in at 2pm and the pool was over ran with kids until the pool closed and that was very annoying.
Went down with family for an overnight gambling trip and had a great stay here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, food was very good and the views were great!! If there was anything on the negative side I could bring up is that the a/c unit in the room didn't really work and it got a little difficult to sleep. However, I will be back to enjoy this hotel again.
Very good service. Our room was overlooking the river, awesome view, nice balcony for sitting outside with morning coffee and evening nightcap. Walking distance to downtown Bonners Ferry. The only thing that can be annoying is the train noise if you're a light sleeper. Take ear plugs because the view from our room is so lovely it's worth it!
The rooms are ok. Beds comfortable and river view nice. The rates we recieved were very good so we stayed 3 nights. The Restaurant prices seemed reasonable, except I didnt appreciate them charging me Room Svc prices when I went down and got my food myself and took it up to my room. Had an $18 charge for a cheeseburger/fries...a little much more than I expected to pay. The casinos were ok, but wish they would at least pay a little. Even an employee said that's why most players don't return to play.
We love the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa. We prefer this over Quest Casino and Worley Casino. Our stay is always restful, the casinos have all the updated machines I have recommended this to my family and friends. Thank you!!!!!
Hotel is well run and service is good, the food is reasonable price and a happy hour adds a nice touch The yards are well maintained and the spa is open 7 days a week, small pool but enjoyable with a hot tub.
Great hotel great beds food has always been amazing. The cost for the hotel is very reasonable and the rooms are all up to date. Lots of variety with the games. I have personally won 3 jackpots this year alone and we only go once a month for a date night. Highly recommended
I went with a bus tour group on Super Bowl Sunday for 3 nights. Stayed in the lodge. Rooms very comfy with 2 queen beds, mini fridge, microwave & keurig coffee maker. Just a few steps outside to the pool, spa and rest of the complex. Restaurant had a good size room where we ate dinner as a group, service was good, food was okay (my kobe beef was half fat). There are two smoking and one non smoking casino rooms with a good variety of slots both USD & CAD machines.
I am a children's writer and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa the night before my event at a Bonner's Ferry elementary school. But we got snowed in! Event cancelled. Drat! The hotel not only extended my stay by an extra night, they gave me the best rate possible. Next day, school was open, so I got to share with the kids after all. I got to gamble a little bit on my "day off." And I got to eat GREAT food at the restaurant. If you want a lovely stay, visit this hotel/casino -- rain, snow or shine. It's a great experience, come what may.
We have stayed here several times and always have a great stay. I recommend the balcony rooms as the view is beautiful. We stayed in the lodge section this time which is farthest from the lobby and casino. The king room was very large and the bed seemed new. Great pillows and very clean. Love the bathroom with the sink and counter separate. We always find the front desk staff to be courteous and helpful. The check in was fast as was checkout. There is a smoke odour in the lobby but no trace in the lodge section. We find this hotel to be a great value as breakfast is included (and it is yummy and plentiful). The casino is fun but I always lose. We have never used the pool or jacuzzi but it looks great from the outside. We will be back.
Hallway carpets and beds need to be replaced. Bar/lounge are chairs are over 20 years old and are dirty. Food is good in restaurant. Front desk staff needs to interact with customers better. I stayed at this location when it was fairly new decades ago. It was considered ver nice at that time. However, it seems that that only thing they have updated since then is the casino gaming area.
Loved the river view The hotel was all decorated for Christmas and the view of the river was beautiful with all the fresh fallen snow Would definitely go back again There is a nice little walkway from the hotel to downtown which goes right under neath the highway . The downtown has neat little shops you can explore a pretty cute little town
Great service, rooms, staff, casino (well .... I didn't win) but great experience! Definitely will be planning another stay or two this year! Promotional coupons are nice to receive with the casino players club!
We had to travel to Bonners Ferry from Spokane for business during a snow storm but made it safely to the hotel. We were allowed to check in early, which was great since we were cold and stressed from the drive. We had a beautiful room that had a small deck that overlooked the river. With the snow coming down, it was all so beautiful. I must say for a Casino, the hotel was very quiet at night. The casino itself was pretty tight....so we only played for about an hour or so since we weren't hitting any bonuses or anything...just throwing our money in the machine and that was about it. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the Springs (dinner and breakfast) and the food and service was excellent!!! I have to say both waitresses Thursday night and Friday morning were personable and pleasant! I give the hotel and restaurant 5 stars but really disappointed in the casino.
This non smoking casino hotel is a very good stay for this area. Visited in November while visiting family for Thanksgiving. First time staying here but will be coming back for our next visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was al very friendly and the food at the restaurant was quite good. Good value compared to other locations in the area and with a very nice view of the river.
Was a very laid back property. offering pet friendly rooms. Huge plus for our little dog. Front desk staff seemed overwhelmed with the check-in process. The day SPA is a must, the prices are reasonable, Staff is very friendly and the massage therapist was worth every dollar I spent. They treated you like you were special for a moment, a great way to pamper yourself. Rooms were well appointed, could use a microwave as an addition. There were several entrances so you didnt have to go thru the lobby to get outside. Could of done without the kids running up and down the halls both above us and on our floor.
We've actually stayed here twice since my last review but 'my bad', I just got around to reviewing it again. We have had a wonderful stay here every time, great casino with 2 smoking and 1 non smoking rooms, good choice of slot machines (some Canadian also), good/decent food, comfortable, clean & spacious room, and terrific service from wonderful staff. Wish they had wine coolers at their little bar counter; they have beer (great for hubby) and (I think) hard liquor. They do have a free soda/pop area where you can help yourself, so this suits me just fine. We find that the payouts are decent, you win some, you lose some. When we lived in Manitoba we used to enjoy going to a casino in Minnesota a couple of times a year and always had a great time. Then the band fired their managers and took over the operations themselves. They started getting greedier and greedier: the slot machines got tighter & tighter, service got really bad, everything got run down and prices kept going up. And we, our friends and relatives stopped going. Period. I really, really hope that the Kootenai River Inn Casino keeps doing what they're doing! Because so far, they're sure doing everything right!! We have come to love this casino and it is now our 'go to' place. See you at Christmas!!
We stayed over Thanksgiving this year. Overall, a good expereince. The checkin was smooth and easy with friendly people. The room was clean and large, tmade more so by the minimal amount of furniture in the room. It could have used a desk, but it did provide a small round table and two chairs. We enjoyed the view from the small balcony but did not spend much time out there. The shower was great! We had breakfast included with our room, so we had a wonderful start to each day (good food, friendly service). The Huckleberry pancakes were REALLY good, but plan to share! Now the reservations: 1. The AC was not terribly effective. We like a cool room at night, so we slept with the balcony door open...in November...in Idaho. And we were still not really in a "cool" room. 2. The TV did not work (could not change channels). The hotel was prompt about sending someone up to fix it but it took a while, so we were on of two days without TV (no biggy - it was Thanksgiving afterall). 3. We brought bathing suits and were excited to use the hottub. My husband went in once but I abstained throughout our visit. The pool/hottub area was overrun with children at almost all hours of the day! My husband sat in the tub for about 30+ minutes, with the young children (under 8 years old) that were in the tub when he showed up staying in until after he left (this is NOT safe for young kids, but no hotel employee appeared to be monitoring). He also said that the kids were not great about accommodating another person in the tub, nor were the parents really paying that much attention. 4. Our room was almost above the pool, so whenever we came in or left our room, we were treated to the pool exuberance. Luckily, the door had good soundproofing.
Had a room with our dogs on the third floor overlooking the river. PERFECT room! Lots of space, beautiful view, not noisy, ordered room service, gambled, used the restaurant to meet with friends. And we went home so relaxed. Great value from dinner, to lounge, to room. Next time - Spa!
We were drawn to this hotel by its location (close to the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge) and its casino. The hotel is located along the Kootenai river. It is well maintained and provides a pedestrian tunnel to the charming historic town of Bonners Ferry. We learned that Native American gambling venues are exempt from other US gaming requirements (minimum winning rates, for example); but our losses go to a good cause, in this case, the Kootenai Tribe. The hotel mattresses are firm and comfortable. The restrooms are upgraded and lovely. Pets are welcome with a minimal surcharge.
We always enjoy our stay. Good pricing on rooms, and excellent meals/service in the restaurant. Large rooms, and fairly quiet. We will be back. The attached casino is the draw. The view in the restaurant overlooking the river is a bonus. We always request a room facing the water as well. Peaceful.
Us gal pals, 8 of us, stay here for an annual birthday celebration. All of the staff, from front desk to housekeeping, is so very welcoming and accommodating . The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was very good and we will return again next year.
Nice clean hotel. Rooms have a lovely river view. Rooms are nicely decorated. Lovely huge shower. Great amenities. Flat screen tv and fridge. It's a home away from home. No breakfast included however they have a very reasonable seniors breakfast menue.
Great service by all staff both at the front desk dining room and the cleaning staff, good food, quiet and clean accommodation. The Wi-fi is fast and free as is the parking.Pool area and hot tubs are also well maintained
I always enjoy staying here, everything is always clean and fresh, and the location works really well for my trips, the staff are always very nice, the food is good. There is also good food in the area if you venture out.
This hotel was recommended by a family member for a trip to town for a funeral. Most people stay here because it is a casino operated by the Kootenai Tribe. The three casino rooms allow indoor smoking, and these rooms open off of the lobby, meaning that the lobby smells like cigarette smoke. It was not a pleasant place. My room was in the new Lodge building, and it was very nice. This hotel is also located very close to a railroad crossing, so the train whistles at all hours of the day and night were a little distracting.
Travelled to Bonner's Ferry with family from Cranbrook, BC to enjoy a couple of days of fun and relaxation. We used the pool and hot tub, spa services, ate at both the hotel restaurant and also at Mugsy's in town. Food was good at both places. Did not win our fortune in the casino but had fun trying.
Nice indoor pool and workout room. Decent bar and restaurant. Location was good but halls were too dark. Great price but the stink from smoking in the casino was not pleasant near the lobby at check in. Clean rooms with lots of space but I stay in hotels 60 to 75 nights a year. This had to be one of the most uncomfortable beds I've had in years.
Average hotel room. Size was nice but there were issues with the TV and Sliding glass doors in room. Staff were helpful, but it seems like there needs to be some changes in order to prevent the problems in the first place
Overall a good experience. The hotel was clean and pleasing. The hotel staff was professional and courteous. The negative was dinner in the restaurant. The deli food was better. The bed was also not to my husband's liking.
Stayed here for one night as husband and I were passing through the area. We stayed in the lodge side as opposed to taking a river view. The Lodge rooms are newer and quite spacious. walk in shower is great and even offers robes.. amenities not usually offered by hotels in this price range. What a nice surprise! Restaurant was better than I expected also! Our server Reina was great. Kind and attentive. All together the cleanliness and amenities were all above average and at a very reasonable price. I won't hesitate to stay here again if we are in town.
The staff were very helpful. The food was good and the rooms were very clean. I will definately stay there on my next trip out..... I like the idea of a smoking and non-smoking Casino area. Many thanks.
Best place regarding it's value to stay for work off season. Off season price works w/ the per diem we are paid & the amenities are great. Easy access to restaurants, both in house & just across the highway in downtown Bonners Ferry.
The view is awesome but do not stay on the ground floor as they will put a family with a running child to wake you up at 0630 am . Also, ground floor rooms are home to dogs. Wife found a live tick on her pillow. Dogs everwhere. It migh be better upstairs.
We have emailed them twice and they never respond, we are having our 45th wedding anniversary and asked them a few questions, but they never respond? So, we are booking at another similar Idaho casino that did respond. Amazing! Their website Sounds like they care. But it is symbolism over substance!
Clean comfortable large room. We watched a bald eagle catch and eat a fish from the river below balcony. Beautiful views. Lots of parking. Delicious meal and fantastic service in their restaurant. Best complimentary breakfast I have ever had.
Nice typical best western quality. Great staff and an above average restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. For a casino, they do a very nice job of isolating the smokers from the hotel. I booked a king suite here (room 223 - three moon suite ) because i was fascinated that a best western had a room for over $400 with taxes. i just had to see this because it is literally a hundred dollars more than the best suite we've ever been in in a BW. The room was very nice with a separate sitting room, a wet bar, and two bathrooms. The balcony was good with a nice view over the river. That being said, it was not a $400 room versus other similar set ups either in BW or other hotels. As a benchmark, the marriott in richland crown point was $260 for an identical set up including a river view. At $300, this room is about right but not at $400
We had a nice time at this property, spent some time in the Casino and then had dinner. The restaurant is very nice and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet and with updated and lovely bathrooms.
We found our room to be very nice and a excellent view of the river. The check in process was easy and very accommodating. The lady at the front desk offered us express check out which made things very easy for our departure.
We always have a fabulous time when we come to Bonners Ferry! Rooms are so comfy and we love the deck and view! The only suggestion I would make is put 4 regular coffees in the room! Pretty sure we will be back in October!
Will always come back, if it stays this way. Excellent bunch of employees in every department. every thing is clean, great food, Bar service great, even at happy hour. Customer service is also great, when we had a problem, with a machine.
We always love our experience here. The view of the river is awesome but if you want quiet the new part of hotel is where you want to be. My husband and I both look forward to our yearly trip to Bonner's Ferry and love to stay here.
Always love this place! Great food and people. Beds comfy and a gorgeous view of the Kootenai River from our Balcony. Easy walking to old downtown where there are several more restaurants to choose from as well as a micro Brewery!
I love this hotel and have been coming for years. I love the view and the friendly staff and the proximity to the bookstore and shopping. It's getting a bit expensive however. I still love it and hope to return many times.
Inexperienced staff did not greet me as a platinum member at check in, I did all the talking. I as not offered express check in and I wasn't offered a gift or bonus points. I had to tell her she needed to scan my credit card. I was not given direction to anywhere in the hotel not even my room, I had to ask. Because it was BW Plus I at least expected a free breakfast or discount to the restaurant. I had to late ask for my bonus points
I stay at the Kootenai Best Western whenever I go to the casino. I go several times a year and I have never been disappointed. From the friendly staff to the cleanliness of of the hotel and rooms is a 10. I really always look forward to staying here.
Usually the hotel is fantastic, however the decor in the hallways is desperately needing some TLC. The rooms decor also is needing updating and along with a good cleaning as there was "foreign matter" on a few of the walls over the bed and on the opposite wall. Made you feel a little "dirty" wondering if the floors were even cleaned.
We usually stop enroute to Canada to overnight and enjoy dinner and breakfast. My husband likes to gamble a bit, but I prefer the Spa. Our waitress Jen served us breakfast, where I enjoyed the best seafood omelette I've ever had! Good menu, great service, and a beautiful view of Kootenai River. The Inn recently upgraded to a Best Western Plus, and it shows!
I am a frequent business traveler to Bonners Ferry. This is the most consistently excellent place to stay. Comfortable rooms, accommodating staff, good food and relaxing spa and pool. Park your car and relax!
I have used this hotel on two occasions this year, nice casino, great river view, wonderful included breakfast. Town is just a short wake thru a pedestrian underpass, more great restaurants and shopping right there.
Best Western is a great place to stay. Our room is comfortable and roomy. Clean comfortable quiet Bed is comfortable. Good lighting and lots of plug-in for our electronic needs. Good food at the restaurant Courteous serving a the front desk Andrea is a pleasant and very helpful person Thank You!
We have friends and family just inside of Montana and have stayed in a hotel in Libby previously. We found this little gem a few months ago and LOVE it! It's a tad bit farther to drive to see our people, but well worth it!
We spent a night here while traveling the Selkirk Loop on the way to BC Canada. The rooms were clean, and big with a large shower and thick towels. My room faced the garden next to the Spa. I didn't have time to visit the Spa or pool. The restaurant food was good with moderate prices and very large portions especially the deserts. The waitresses and seater were friendly and efficient. The view of the .Kootenai River was an added bonus. The Casino wasn't what I expected. The machines were all penny slot machines, unless there was something I missed. I'm more used to Southern style.casinos.
We stayed in a riverfront front room and were thrilled with the view. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is exceptional. The restaurant is one of our favorites in Bonners Ferry - the food is amazing.
I really enjoyed my stay. The food in the restaurant was above average and we had a nice view of the river as we ate. The staff were all very friendly and I had a nice quiet sleep other than the passing by of trains. The only real complaint I had was that of the 3 casino rooms in the building there was very little area designated for non smokers.
A nice hotel and casino they just need to relocate the snackbar out of the smoking section of the casino. It even affected the way the water tasted . A real disappointment for me they should catch up the times
This Inn was perfect for a get-away with my girlfriends. The rooms were very clean, staff friendly and facilities were everything we wanted from the casino to the restaurant to the pool. Easy walking distance to shopping.
Never had a bad stay or meal. This is an example of how a hotel/resort should be run. We have and will continue to recommend this hotel to many others in our circle of friends in Canada. Look forward to our next stay!
Always a good time. I enjoy all the staff send they have become friends over the years .I recommend this hotel and casino to everyone. I am looking forward to my next trip there. The hotel is within walking distance to some great little pubs and cafes.
We stayed at this hotel while heading down to Portland. The town is not much, but the hotel is beautifully located along the Kootenai River. All the rooms have patios with beautiful views of the river. Canadian geese nest on the sand bars, along the shore and flocks fly in at sunset. Kayakers enter the river upstream and float by the hotel. The hotel has a great patio bar where patrons can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful setting. This is a wonderful place to stay for several days and relax.
Pleasant atmosphere, courteous staff, clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay here as always. The children enjoyed the pool while the adults soaked in the hot tub. We retired for the evening and had room service bring us dinner. An enjoyable stay will definately be coming back.
The BW in Bonners Ferry was an excellent choice. We stayed there only one night but we would gladly stay again should we be in the area. The service was very efficient and friendly. The staff were professional and caring. And the river setting on the Kootenai River was gorgeous.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were humongous, the pool was marvelous, and the maid was very helpful, my only concerns were that the bathroom did not have a lock and the breakfast was very small and you had to pay lots of money for more food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family, people travelling for business, or any solo travellers.
Usually stop on our way by for a meal by the river. Great location to enjoy dining outside. Great food and service. Prices are great. Would recommend this stop to anyone. Can also try your luck at the casino.
Very nice, upgraded rooms with a private balcony. All of the rooms face the Kootenai River with an awesome view. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to assist me with an early arrival by taking my name and paging me in the casino as soon as a room became available. They also have a restaurant on the premises with stunning views of the river. The location is about 1.5 hours north of Coeur d' Alene and worth the drive.
We always have a great experience here. We go every year for a few nights to visit family. Love the rooms, Wi-Fi, customer service, cleanliness of the whole facility and rooms (we always stay at The Falls building), and we love the restaurant!
I came into town for the all class reunion. I did a lot of walking and I woke up stiff and sore. The spa was able to get me in for an appointment. Had a choice of red or white wine or mimosa at the end. I felt amazing at the end. I definitely recommend going.
Room was good , balcony with view made it better!. Personal were very helpful and pleasant. For a dog friendly hotel I felt there was not enough green space and paths to excercise your dog . Restaurant was also very good. Overall we would pick to stay there again on route to the Oregon coast !!!!
We stayed a couple of nights in the Lodge, and had a wonderful experience! Staff here is extremely kind and helpful. The room was very nice. I love the walking tunnel under the highway, to walk in to town. The area is beautiful, and right on the river. We highly recommend a stay here! The restaurant has a nice selection, and the deli is perfect for something quick. I like that they have Canadian machines in the casinos. We exchanged some US dollars for Canadian money, so we could play those machines too. All in all it was a beautiful place to get away, and a very pleasant trip.
We made an online reservation ahead of time as a place for a peaceful night while on the road; the river views were enticing. This was the wrong choice for us. The main building caters to casino-goers and the rooms, even the furthest from the casino per se, are smokey and old (although the water views are indeed nice). We moved to the secondary building which was definitely an improvement. Not our cup of tea.
Rating for exterior is based on the repaving in the parking lot and the fact that we could not drive up to the check in area because it was not labeled as hotel, nor check in. Parked in the lot over by the spa and luckily we were to stay in that lodge so the car was close to our room and a luggage cart was available. The room was fantastic! The only flaw? The toilet set was a tiny bit offset - that's how great the room was. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced for quality. Breakfast was good - a nice hot meal in the restaurant included with the room. It was nice to have a non-smoking casino (there are 2 with smoking) and machines dedicated for Canadian currency was a nice touch.
Great overnight stay just a little on the pricey side. Also grapefruit juice, I was served for breakfast, was fermenting. Maybe more tee shirt selection for souvenirs. Only one style to choose from. Other than that the accommodations were great!
Front desk staff during both Check-In and check-out were inattentive and seemed disinterested in waiting on customers. The restaurant staff was not helpful nor responsive to guest request. Nice room and convenient location ruined by the staff.
Had river view with balcony. So great, had to stay an extra night. Should not be missed if traveling in the area. Had several casino areas on the property which added to our enjoyment. Great golf course right down the highway. Only 9 holes, but a par 36 so different tee positions for doing 18 holes. Perfect greens.
Don't ever stay in the Kootenai Falls Lodge section of this hotel. Always ask for riverview with a balcony. The freight train runs every 30 minutes and blows his horn at the unmarked crossing across the road from the hotel. For some reason you cannot hear the freight train in the riverview section at night time.
Right on the Kootenai river, good food, good entertainment, comfortable beds, nice private balconies overlooking the river. Well insulated for noise so you get a good nights sleep, nice modern bathrooms.
I liked the hotel overall but service at the restaurant was not so good. Took forever to be initially served and I had to ask who was our server or we would've waited even longer. Service for the hotel was excellent.
Coming from a 3 day tour of Couer d'Alene & Spokane, this was our final stop before heading home. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Bonner's, so this is the go-to place. Handy to have the casino on-site. It has Canadian and American $$ machines. This time we didn't have any CDN $$ so found it a bit inconvenient on the limitations on what I could play. Breakfast is always good. View of the river is very nice. Highly recommend staying on the river side as the train track is very close by on the other side of the hotel and goes throughout the night. I wear earplugs but can still hear it. Walk across the street (through the tunnel) and visit the pubs and Heart Rock Wines.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a casino. When you signed in with them, They gave a $10 free play slip for first time players. I used it and won a little as I stopped playing when I doubled my money I had put up. We stayed here because of its location and it had 3 stars in the AAA book we had. It didn't disappoint.
Will definitely come back. Very nice rooms, everything worked will, including Wi-Fi. Food was very good. The surrounding Bonners Ferry community has done a great job of making itself attractive to tourist.
Hotel is very well kept. Guest room was awesome. Price was great for what you get. I will stay here anytime. Pool and hot tub are nice. Restaurant was great. Wait staff could have been a little better. View is nice.
Our stay at this property for the most part was very enjoyable. Check in was a breeze and were even able to check in early. Stayed in the lodge and the rooms are very large and comfortable. The problem was our room faced the railroad track and the trains ran almost every hour and blew the horn. So needless to say didn't get a lot of sleep. Restaurant service was excellent and the portion sizes are huge so shared as our waitress, katelyn suggested and there was plenty. Casino has a variety of machines, some old and some new and found the staff there very helpful as well.
I was expecting the Fall's lodge, but got the river view instead. it's the older side, but still nice. I was at the very end almost so it was actually very quiet, but a good walk, that didn't hurt me. Over all it was nice. I think the final price is a little high for what it is.
We enjoy visiting this motel/casino at least once a year. We opt for balcony rooms, which face the Kootenai River and mountains in the distance. The view is very peaceful. On this trip we enjoyed watching eagles fly above and families of ducks on the river. We enjoy eating at the Springs Restaurant, which has tiered seating so everyone can view the river. The food is reasonably priced and very good! We also enjoy the casino - its small however has a good variety of games, new and old. For the size, this place provides a great experience!
Great room on the river, very good dinner last night at the restaurant and lots of penny machines. It is 5.5 hours from home but I think we will come again. Lots of older people at least on a Thursday.
Stayed here for two days and really enjoyed the fact that it's on the river, so basically breakfast, lunch and dinner are a wonderful experience because of the EXCELLENT service in the restaurant and obviously the breathtaking views. Other than that, the rooms are pretty crappy. Outdated. They feel old. The halls are too warm and just all around doesn't feel new or fresh or clean for that matter. The casino is alright and a fun place to stay, what bothers me is that the location of this place is UNBELIEVABLE. The potential of what it is or has become versus what it could be is quite frustrating. I was actually quite bummed out for whoever owns it because they have a goldmine in their hands and don't seem to know it. Also bummed out there wasn't a holiday inn express around this area to be honest I would have stayed there if I had been given the chance. But that's not possible because the area doesn't have a holiday inn express. So again, great location, great service, very outdated and just feels OLD.
We have stayed here numerous times in the past. Always enjoyed the location and the friendliness of the staff. The convenience of evening activity and beverages and not driving is always a good thing.
After traveling this past week and staying at some BW hotel and not having a great experience this place was a shining star It's a casino . So there is some smoke in the air , so if you are totally against any smoke , look elsewhere Had a great king room with a balcony . Remodeled bathrooms which look good , except they have soft water which I am not crazy about I did not gamble Only thing that I feel needs improvement is better cleaning of the balconies . And maybe new carpet in common areas OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT AND BAR WITH GREAT VIEW OF THE RIVER ! I will return !
Lovely Hotel with a fabulous breakfast that goes with your nights stay. Friendly professional staff who were eager to accomodate our needs and safe area to stay. Also super close to the darling downtown where there are the cutest shops ever and cool places to eat.
Stayed here for 2 nights for a family reunion and was pleasantly surprised; the rooms are ample, clean, and, if you're in the Lodge part, newer; the pool was great for kids; don't gamble, so I won't comment on the casino, but the restaurant exceeded expectations; you can eat and drink on their deck which has an amazing view of the river; the only downside is that the hotel sits on top of a very active railway line, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
We love the Kootnenai Inn and have stayed there several times. My wife has Alzheimer's but was very content and relaxed at the Inn. We will always stay there anytime we are in Bonners. I would strongly recommend the Inn to anyone who planned to visit Bonners Ferry.
Thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Kootenai River Inn and Casino!!! Our room was ready when we arrived at 3 pm. Check in was fast and efficient and we were very pleased with the location! The area we were in was quieter and we barely heard the trains...... Loved the free breakfast that was included!!
Rooms are nice and views of the river and mountains are enjoyable. Friendly, helpful staff. Wait staff in restaurant do a great job. Appreciate the frequent room rate deals and casino benefits. Our room was very quiet. Great place to stay.
This place is a awesome place to stay . Our room was on the first floor, we had a balcony that over looked the river. We saw lots of wildlife. It was quiet, Staff was great. Food was awesome and well priced as was the room. One of the Best Casino / Spas we have been to and stayed at.
Great place. Rooms were very nice, especially the bathroom. The price was very good for the room quality. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a plus that there is a casino and spa. We will definitely be going back!
The room is obviously clean and nice, well worth the money. The staff was also friendly and helpful, they even let us check in early. The complementary breakfast is from the restaurant, not a Continental breakfast. I would recommend this place and gladly stay here again if I'm in this area.
We got an offer in the mail for $49 for 2 nights. It was a great getaway! If it's your first time there be sure to get a players card & sign up for their emails so you get in on the specials. There are 2 hotel sections.. Riverview & Lodge. Both room types are spacious, clean, & modern but Riverview has balconies & overlook the river and mountains so that is our favourite. The walk in showers are huge and have an amazing rain shower head.....no bathtubs. Small fridge, Kuriug coffee pot, table & 2 chairs, lounging chair, safe, robes, iron & board. Toiletries. The beds & pillows are super comfortable. Good quality towel selection. The casino has lots of different slot machines but no table games. We ate all of our meals at the springs restaurant. Very good menu selection, reasonably priced & always GREAT food. If you would like to explore the area be sure to see the following.... Kootenai national wildlife refuge, Moyie river overlook & bridge, Kootenai tribal sturgeon hatchery, copper falls, myrtle falls, smith creek falls, snow creek falls. Day trips....Lake Pend Oreille Cruises & Buck Knife factory & Post Falls Park.
Room was updated and clean. Service was good. It was a little too expesive for a regular room. Check in was easy and pleasant. There is a nice view of the river from the restaurant and a deck you can go out onto to see the river. The machines were tight.
When we checked in with the special rat e of $49, they also had a special at the spa: 60 min. for $49 which I got right in and it was wonderful. Don't ask for the new rooms ask for one with a view of the water.
Best Western Bonners Ferry was a great stay, staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. I stayed in room with balcony and it was well worth it, really enjoyed the scenery, not much of a gambler, but love small towns, so the location is a plus being walking distance to town, had a great time, thanks for a wonderful stay.
We were part of a group in Bonners Ferry for a fundraising event. We were on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the river. Nice to have a Keurig coffee machine and real china cups and glasses. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. Clean and comfortable stay.
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the amenities at hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, especially at the lodge, which is newer and has larger rooms. All the staff are extremely friendly. The food in the restaurant is well priced and the menu offers lots of choices. Its location on the river is peaceful and scenic.
The Jacuzzi Room was very clean, the bed was a bit hard for me but they day we were leaving they had all new mattresses delivered., great view of the river even saw a huge beaver below our room. The front desk ladies were awesome! Had dinner in The Springs Restaurant and it was very good, Rib eye steak had great flavor, our waiter James did a wonderful job of taking care of us and knows his job well. Free breakfast was the best I have had and our waitress Daniela was great. Very nice view of the river while eating, peaceful.
Leisure and to play at the casino. The hotel has everything we need and we dont have to go into the village unless we want to try the Mexican Restaurant or the local bar is a nice place to eat as well. The town is always very clean and safe.
1). Good hotel stay but be careful to take all your stuff during check-out process. if not, it will be thrown away......sadly. it would have been nice if they called to check if guest wants to keep items or food in a non-disposable package. 2). softest pillows ever, they don't support the head or neck at all. so, bring your own.
Excellent customer service at check in we didn't pre book just took a chance, and stopped in to see if they had any rooms available they did so decide to stAy the night, then off the cord a lene and Spookane shopping for the day then back home, same day was a very enjoyable trip short but relaxing. My husband was even happy with the stay
We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. It never gets old. The staff are very helpful, the restaurant is a great meal with not empty the wallet prices. Would highly recommend this establishment.
this was my third time to Kootenai River Inn. the 2 times before stayed in a Riverview room, which was very nice. this time stayed in the new part called the Lodge. Very nice rooms I first booked they only had a room with 2 queens beds, I did ask to have a King bed if one come available. went check in a room had come opened. little slow checking in.
Always stay here. Love staff casino and spa. Great place to relax. I would recommend this hotel all the time and always do. The rooms are always clean and have great view of the river. I like to sit and the deck and quite often see eagles fishing.
Wonderful stay. The staff was efficient and super friendly. We discovered, late at night, that the shower faucet in our room was broken. The staff responded in minutes to attempt a repair. Unable to fix it, they moved us to a suite. Both rooms were excellent! This was on a night, where there was a mudslide blocking the highway south of town, so the hotel was full and the staff was very busy. The views from both rooms were amazing. The restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.
We attempted several days to take advantage of a special offering on rooms for Sunday through Thursday. These were on emails, the newspaper and television. When we called we were told tht they were not honoring those specials any longer. They just said no when we shared the advertising with them. We talked with the hotel manager and he just said no.....We haven't been there in years and wanted to give them a try but now no way....Its wrong to advertise what you don't offer!
We are not gambler, but it doesn't matter. This casino property has one goal in mind, and that's to make sure you enjoy your stay. Besides the Casino Bonner's Ferry offers a great deal of outdoor adventure year round. We love to use this as our overnight stay as we adventure out into the area during the day, and come back for a relaxing night.
We had a great time staying. Stayed for a birthday for 3 nights, did not have the room we thought we were going to have was supposed to have a view but didn't. Vending machines didnt work and just put a sign on it.
We have stayed at this hotel many times, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is very good. I rate it as Very Good rather than Excellent because the elevator only goes to the second floor and there are about 7 rooms on the 3rd floor. We prefer to stay on the 3rd floor, mainly because of the view of the river but it means carrying luggage that extra set of about 14 stairs, and even a luggage cart doesn't help much for those. We usually use the spa facilities and often the pool. The carpet in the hallways is starting to look worn but really doesn't affect your comfort level.
Clean room with nice television. Mattress could be improved. The staff really keeps the hotel clean and fresh. Not much of a slot machine gambler but they do have loads of them there. I like table games but Idaho doesn't allow them.
Nice quiet room well away from the casino. A little pricy but it was a huge room. Short walk to town and a variety of places to eat. Nice view of the river from many rooms. Would stay here again if we pass through.
It appears to be a casino with rooms. Nevertheless, the services and food were good. The room rate is higher than one could expect to pay for such an establishment (essential a casino with rooms, which is not prominently advertised when making reservations and the amenitis provided.
We stayed over a Friday evening with a good price for room and breakfast in the restaurant (limited menu items available for the package). Very nice room in the newer Lodge building. Got the best price by calling the hotel directly--you need to ask if they have any specials. On arrival, they had the price wrong but graciously adjusted it. Nice setting along the river with nearby historic downtown and agricultural valley to explore.
Always a good place to get away for a night and have a good evening. Food has improved a ton, as well as the service. Only issue is in the summer the comps for regulars drop off and can't get same rewards as in the off season.
I always expect top notch hospitality here. Sometimes we go for an afternoon of fun and end up staying another day! The menu has changed and is great food and good service. The front desk and gaming staff are very professional and helpful. It is always fun to see friends there that you would not otherwise see.
After checking in you wander thru the lobby and looking thru the windows the amazing river view is thrust upon you. The restaurant/lounge has great views from all tables and the fire pit area is great for relaxing & talking with family/friends. The food was very good & the deserts were terrific. I will definitely return to this hotel when back in the Bonners area.
We took advantage of the low Sunday through Thursday night rate to have an Over night in Bonner's Ferry. Our plan was to do son local Kayaking, biking and hiking. all of which we accomplished. the BW is conveniently located, with in walking distance of downtown . The hotel is clean neat, well staffed and our river room was relaxing and comfortable.
The staff is friendly, efficient, hardworking and professional. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable, nice shower, and very clean. The restaurant has delicious food, nice presentation, and plentiful. We have always enjoyed staying at this hotel.
The Kootenai River Inn is a wonderful fall experience. The beautiful Idaho mountains are alive with all the fall colors, the Kootenai River is runs outside the balcony with wild geese landing right in front of us. The staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms clean and comfortable, and the dining is a culinary experience. Can't wait to go again!
We discovered this casino while searching the web and after seeing many positive reviews on TA, we decided to reserve a room for 1 night. We ended up wishing we had booked 2 nights. To start, when we arrived we discovered that breakfast was included with the room, which was a nice surprise. We had a standard King room and it was lovely, very spacious, very clean, nice amenities, cozy robes and a magnificent shower. The casino has a decent selection of slot machines (we weren't crazy about the Canadian selection so didn't play those too much), a bar counter to order alcoholic beverages and there is a coffee/pop station where you can help yourself to a free beverage. When we go to a casino that just takes our money, we leave and never return. At this casino we liked that we would win a bit/lose a bit and not just lose, lose, lose. Of course the machines won in the end (lol) but we had a lot of fun. We went to the restaurant for supper and ordered their fish & chip special $7.99. The fish had a light, tasty batter, the fries were cooked perfectly and the coleslaw was one of the best we've had anywhere. The whole meal was very good. We really enjoyed our stay here all around – the wonderful staff, the room, the casino and the food. Our only disappointment was that we only had 1 night. Next time we will be sure to book for 2 nights so that we have time to really enjoy the beautiful room. We highly recommend.
We always stay at this hotel when we go to see our kids in Bonners. We love it!!!! It has all of the amenities and our grandchildren love coming over to swim. The staff is always so accommodating and friendly. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We highly recommend !!!!
My wife and I as well as another couple went to Bonners Ferry to golf and stay overnight for my birthday. We did some gaming as well. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. Dining was very good, somewhat slow on the service, but the Restaurant was packed. Sunday morning buffet was very good, with a great selection of items
Our room was very comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed. It appeared very clean. Restaurant was great. Food was good and quickly delivered. Casino areas were good but rather broken up. Smaller area was strongly smoky but newer area was fine. Cool that they also have some machines for Canadians using their money.
It's beautiful, Summer rates are higher, and even higher if you want to be on the river side. My idea is one shouldn't charge for views because they happen to be there. Rooms are cheaper during the week. We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast (not the breakfast bar). Rooms are great, bed is very nice. But I paid less to stay on the ocean in Rockaway beach.
Casino and Hotel plus restaurant were all very good. I would recommend for anyone interested in a small getaway or on holidays. The beds were comfortable and the food plus service were very good in the restaurant.
Stayed in a 2 double bed room as there were no kings available when we arrived. The room was quite large and new (stay in the new lodge addition). The lodge is a new separate building that apparently has bigger, cheaper rooms, but you don't get a view of the river. If you stay in the lodge you will have to walk outside to get to the pool or the casino, but it is located very close to the pool and has a covered sidewalk in-between. The rooms were large with a nice, large shower. There's a table and chairs as well has a comfy chair with an ottoman. The room has a keurig machine for coffee. Each person staying in the room gets a complimentary breakfast (limited choices) or half off the breakfast buffet or $3 off another breakfast menu item. I recommend staying in the new lodge addition if you have kids or you are not interested in gambling. People smoke in the casino so its nice to have a room in a separate building. The one issue that some people might have is that the train tracks are close by this hotel. I noticed the train a number of times in the evening, but never heard it at night.
Comfy room and beds, very clean. Bathroom was nicely remodeled. View from the balcony was quite nice and relaxing. Awesome size TV (not sure but I think it`s 46". The biggest we have seen from all the hotels we have stayed at in this trip to Canada)with ALL TV channels available. We got to watch the football game comfortably in our room and it turned out to be a quite inexpected treat. Had dinner at the hotel's restaurant ~The Springs~ and the food was delicious. Quite a deal too $24 for a 14oz London Broil steak that was grilled to perfection! The Meatloaf special was unbelievably good too!
Got two rooms for a 2 night stay with my family. Rooms were very nice, clean and comfy! Discounted breakfast was decent, would have liked a little more. Had lunch in the casino deli and it was good. Will defiantly stay here again.
Our stay here was exceptional. Our room was lovely, new, and modern. Our room was in the Lodge which is a newer addition to the hotel. Our room rate came with a large free breakfast at the restaurant. I would love to come here again.
I always stay at this hotel when passing through Bonner's Ferry ID. It's very accessible, clean, and has a great restaurant with wonderful food. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable, with river views and private balconies with little table and chairs. The rooms are spacious and quite quiet. Parking is plentiful, and the hotel is within walking distance to downtown. The only thing I thought was that the carpet needed replacing. Was starting to look a bit warn.
We are not gamblers or smokers so we were placed in the Falls Lodge which was exceptional!. The room was large and updated. The train did move slowly thru town (all night) but it was not disruptive. Being able to walk thru the tunnel made getting from the hotel to shops in town was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were advised to try the mexican restaurant, Mi Pueblo- it was great. I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed in the lodge, which doesn't have a view but was recently renovated. The rooms were fairly big and everything was clean. Quality breakfast at the restaurant. Not much more I could've asked for! However if you're a light sleeper, you might not sleep very well here. A train passes by this hotel every few hours.
We really did enjoy this BW on a river area with Trains going by slowly. The feel is an old western town, and the food in town was excellent as well as food in the BW Restraurant. Room was modern and great side--wonderful bathroom -all stone. Parking excellent and access tricky but simple, keeping you in from the elements. Beautiful glassed in pool and spa!
This hotel is all about the river for us. Private balconies on the Kootenai River with plenty of river life. This is a casino. Typical smokey lobby. One very small smoke free casino room with mostly one cent machines. Good restuant on river. Make sure you ask for a river front room.
Lovely location, peaceful along the river. Beautiful big rooms and high end showers. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant view of the river for breakfast. Beautiful decor. I am a repeat visitor because of the great location, pool and terrific rooms.
very good stay ,would stay again, everyone friendly and helpful and was nice of Casino gentlemen to open the doors for the ladies !!!! and i seen many times them helping the elders,Kepp up the good work
Not only are the rooms impeccable, but frequent upgrades are very nice. The staff, in general, is "top-notch" and this is refreshing to see in a tough, competitive industry. Enjoyed our stay again. See you in September for another fun weekend!
Other than the casino accessible from the lobby, the first thing that hits you upon entering is cigarette smoke. Walking to our room: cigarette smoke. Walking almost anywhere in the hotel: cigarette smoke. The smoke wafts in from the casino. Thankfully our room was smoke free and offered a nice little balcony overlooking the river. Quite a bit of late-night noise in the hallway, but I'm not sure if these were casino patrons or not. Another plus is the free breakfast vouchers we could use in the in-house restaurant.
we have stayed here many times and the hotel always comes through with great service and clean rooms. The casino is fun and the great addition of machines that only takes Canadian money is fantastic.. The food is always good in the restaurant and service is wonderful.
Beautiful location and a great price, located on the river that runs thru down stooped here with my two small kids so we didn't get to use the huge casinos but they were busy. Plus they had canadian slot machines at par, We used the swimming pool which was great half the roof open as it was a hot night, nice jacuzzi very clean, breakfast was included in the morning and was fantastic.
Clean, large room. Great large, shower. Beautiful landscaping and a wonderful, friendly, professional staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Quiet rooms could not hear any noise once the door was closed.
We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa many times in the past and were always satisfied, except the last couple of times we stayed, we have been less than satisfied. The river view rooms are showing their age.........The hallway is very narrow and the carpet has seen better days, though the beds are comfortable and the view is lovely. In our opinion, this Best Western should definitely not have the plus rating! The trains going by are very noisy and cause a lot of sleep interruption. There is no free breakfast with the room anymore if the room is complimentary. Obviously, to get the free room, we have spent a lot of money in the casino, so we feel that we should not be excluded from the complimentary breakfast.
I have to say this was the best hotel ever. View of the river from our balcony. Everything you would need in the room. Amazing housekeeper. She made animals out of towels like on a cruise. Breakfast was served in the Restaurant. The food was wonderful. The staff were are amazing. Walk to town . Will go back again.
No major problems , but had one of the weirdest electrical set-ups I've seen! the only accessible outlet in the room which was by the table by the balcony , which wasn't all that weird , what was weird was that it was controlled by the switch beside the front door! So , when you turned out the hallway light , the clock radio display and the lamp and whatever else plugged into that outlet went out! Kinda odd! Room safe was missing knob to re-open after you unlocked it too , which made us use a pocket knife to open it after we had put the wife's wallet in it! Nice view , decent room with a nice little balcony to watch the river from!
The rooms were large and clean, very relaxing w/view of the river. Restaurant and bar had great food and service. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. This was one of our favorite stays on this trip! We will come back and stay here again for sure!
We loved it here! Beautiful setting on the river, very nice large rooms, amenities were great! Restaurant and bar areas were both great! Clean facilities, nice people and very relaxing! We'll be back here again!
Allowed us an early check in and a great river view room. Nice access to parking with lots of access doors so you don't have to carry luggage too far. Walkable to down town. Great breakfast and very comfy room.
lovely scenic hotel with great staff and a fun casino. we drive 6 hours to this location for a nice break.. alittle mini holiday. the hotel has everything we want . it is a very popular spot for seniors especially.
We stayed here coming and going on a trip to Canada. We got rooms both times in what appeared to be a new wing to the right of the pool. The rooms were gorgeous, clean and super quiet. Not sure why, but the beds were horrible. Both stays I woke up with the worse knots in my back and I can usually sleep in any bed. That aside, the free breakfast was huge and delicious for both stays, nice view of the river and good location. Hot tub was super tiny, pool was nice and clean.
This hotel is perfectly located along the Kootenai River within walking distance of all that Bonners Ferry has to offer. Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you are a gambler I'm sure you will enjoy the on site Casino.
Never would have thought we could have such a delightful and private setting in a Casino. When we made our reservation we didn't realize the BW at Bonner's Ferry was a casino, it ended being our favourite stop. The hotel provided luxurious beds, a nicely appointed room and a private view of the river where we watched eagles fish for salmon. The restaurant also overlooked the river and provided a spectacular view while enjoying a meal. Front counter staff were very helpful booking future reservations for our trip, excellent service.
This was our first visit to The Best Western. From outside it doesn't look too bad. Casino is there - they got a little restaurant - the rooms are okay. But boy service really makes a difference. First off, the housekeeping group were very proficient. Clean rooms, friendly people, courteous. That side of the operation is good. The housekeeping unit needs to train the restaurant staff. The hostesses out front would crack their face if they smiled. The young girl who thinks she's God's gift to the restaurant world on Sunday's brunch is terrible. Snootie - never Smiles - ignores and Barks at workers. Friday night they sat us outside so we could watch the river and have a drink. I will say we requested the seating. Anyway after a normal amount of time, no one came back to ask us if we would like a drink. I asked my wife to start the timer. 15 minutes later still not one server to our table, even though several servers came and talked and delivered to people at other tables. We sat there with our hands folded, no water, no menus, no nothing. Finally got up, walked out. Not one look or comment from any staff. On our final day, which was Sunday, our waitress was a very nice person. But she was really the only one that smiled and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. The Casino. The slot machines at the casino are extremely tight. I figure I'm going to lose money when I go, but it would be nice to have some winnings to balance it off in between feeding more bills into that mouth.. so you don't feel so bad with the money that you lost. No we LOST money. And it appeared that most everyone else around us did too. Tight was a word I heard alot. The room was nice and comfortable, But don't expect much more. And it's too bad, Many Canadian friends come to this spot because it's close to the border. There really is better.
Rooms were nice but beware of casino. We were gaming in casino where you pay for your drinks while using machines had only one barmaid making, serving and delivering drinks by herself! When I ask another employee is there another way to get a drink and was told that was the only bar in casino and if we wanted to pay more I could go to the outside bar and pay more. Icing on the cake was part of the machines were reserved for Canadian crowd with Canadian money only with half of them empty! Not my idea of a fun casino!
After wandering through Montana and into Idaho we were looking for a nice place to stay. One member of our 3-man motorcycling party had suggested something overlooking water, having just crossed the Plains where bodies of water were a rarity. We spotted this hotel as we were leaving the mountains, and noted that it backed onto a river. The room was comfortable, spacious and very well-appointed. Nicest shower we have ever found in a hotel, great decor and amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Best of all, our room had a balcony with a sitting area looking out over the river and the mountains beyond. As the sun began to set we could watch bald eagles and other birds getting their evening meals. Conveniently, there is a tunnel under the highway leading to the downtown where there were several choices for a late supper. For those who choose such things, there is a casino onsite at this hotel. As Ontarians it still catches a bit by surprise when people are smoking in public areas such as these, but I believe there is a non-smoking casino area as well. The cost of our one night bent but didn't break the budget, and it was reasonable value for three guys sharing a room (2 beds plus a roll-away cot), especially given the upkeep that was evident. Also a nice pool and fitness area, neither of which we used.
We're not gamblers, so weren't too sure about staying here, but the experience proved to be really positive. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly and attentive. And the Sunday brunch was amazing!!!! Overall excellent value. We highly recommend this hotel.
I'll try not to repeat what has been said in other reviews. Yes, green beans were still being served with dinner. However, the ones with our meal on Friday were very tasty, not so much on Saturday. Obviously different chefs. The Sunday Brunch was very good for the price (with the hotel meal ticket discount). Overall we had a good time here but left with a couple of questions: 1. Why are the fire doors in the stairwells propped open all the time? Doesn't this defeat their purpose of preventing the spread of fire? 2. Why do four restaurant "manager types" stand in front of a line of waiting customers discussing the latest revenue report and not even acknowledge that we are waiting to be seated? (Plenty of seats available...) This place, fellow traveler, has lost focus on the customer. Have a great visit in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
staff, food, and friendly patrons make this a super get-away! We have always enjoyed our visits here and have made it a meeting place for friends from all over. Lots to do in the area and our kind of people...friendly and out for some fun!
This hotel and casino is beautiful and it's setting along the Kootenai River is great. Accomodations were clean and fairly new. The room was very comfortable and the bed was great too. The only thing I could recommend for a better stay is a more complete restaurant on the property. The menu was too limited so we opted to go off the property to a restaurant in town. The Breakfast (included with the room) was a limited selection from the Restaurant Menu but had just what I wanted and was excellent. Much better than a buffet. I recommend this location!
Stayed in a room in the Kootenai Falls Lodge building (not on the river side). Large room, nicely appointed, 2 queen beds with perfectly firm mattresses, frdige, microwave, coffee maker (Kurig), and a super cool shower enclosure. The hotel has an enclosed pool plus a casino. Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, a 3 choice breakfast is included, easy acess to downtown.
The hotel is right next to the Kootenai River and it is easily accessible. The hotel staff were very nice and the room was excellent. There are two lodges, one river side and one is not. We stayed in the lodge that was not on the river but it made no difference. All you had to do was walk a couple hundred yards and you were on the river. This hotel is also close to great restaurants, walk under the road and across the breezeway and you're there. It is attached to a casino, there are 3 separate rooms and one is non-smoking. The restaurant in the hotel has a great view of the river. They give you a coupon for a complimentary breakfast, 3 choices. The food was very good at breakfast. The only down side..............there are railroad tracks nearby. Several trains do go by through the day/night so be aware of that. When we were there the trains did not hit the horns much so it was a minor disruption.
Our family has stayed at the Best Western Plus Kootenay River Inn many times. We visit Bonners Ferry often and each occasion feels like we are coming home. Hotel is very handy to shops and restaurants, the rooms are quiet and clean. Added bonuses are that the bathrooms have fans in the vents to exhaust shower steam, the wireless internet works very well, and the free hot breakfast options at Springs restaurant within the hotel are terrific. Highly recommend to anyone.
Our stay was very nice, almost perfect in every way except that the check-in time of 4:00PM seems very late compared to most hotels we have stayed at. Otherwise the room and hotel grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept, and the food we ate in the restaurant was very good.
We attended the annual Bonner Car Show this weekend and decided to make an overnight getaway out of it. We could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay at the Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn. The rooms were beautifully appointed and decorated. We had everything we could have wanted as well as a comfy bed and beautiful view. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful. I would highly recommend the London Broil. Seriously, the best I have ever eaten and a portion that definitely could have been shared by two. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious. The best thing about the restaurant was the service. The staff was more than eager to make sure we had a good dining experience for both meals. The entire property was clean and landscaped beautifully! Can't wait to go back for another get away weekend.
Traveling thru Bonners Ferry on our way to Oregon. Needed a one night stay. Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Breakfast included. Stayed in the Lodge side, Very large new rooms. Clean and fresh. Keurig coffee maker, micro and bar fridge in the room. Free wi-fi and parking. Could hear the train but not that load and definitely within reason. Did not disturb our sleep.
Great hotel with spacious rooms. The complimentary breakfast was very good and higher quality than most free breakfasts - although it was a bit slow. Nonetheless, the quality made it worth the wait. Overall it was a very nice stay.
This place is always outstanding and all of the staff are friendly and 100% helpful. Although we don't gamble we always stay here any chance we get. Be sure to get a river-view balcony room, it can't be beat. As for the restaurant, WOW it's great with selections for everyone and an outstanding hot breakfast. The property is a fast 2-3 minute walk through the pedestrian friendly, under the road tunnel right into old-town Bonners Ferry. Although the population is under 3,000 it's a neat little place. Don't miss the history museum. If you have your passport or border crossing card pop up to Creston, British Columbia, Canada. It's only a quick 30 minute drive through beautiful country and when you get there be sure to tour the Columbia Brewery and see the Sasquatch statue. Have fun.
Love the River view. Love to watch the fish jump and the Geese on the islad in the river. I always have my best sleep here. Wished they would go back to the Boyd coffee they use to have in the rooms. Few glitched in the restaurant this time but usually excellent food. The casino is always fun.
Very good hotel and casino, rooms in the new section are large and very quiet. We have stayed here often over the last 5 years and always have a good time.Other than the smoke in the casino it is a lot of fun.
I spent 40 years as a salesman, in all that time I have experienced a lot of things in Hotel's. The Kootenai River Inn in my opinion has the attitude that we are going to treat you like family by giving you the best experience that you can possibly have. The staff treats you like you are special, but they will talk to you like your favorite friend, it is the smile and the twinkle in the eye that we really enjoy. It sets a high bar for other hotels to live up to.
We stayed two nights and one included my birthday. Since we ate in the hotel on my birthday they gave me a $14.00 credit off our dinner bill. Also, if you stay on your birthday they give you a 50% discount on any Spa treatment. I got a massage. Our room was very clean upon arrival and also included a small refrigerator and a king size bed. We both loved the large shower. The room also had a Keurig Coffee Maker with excellent Red Wagon Coffee, including Decaf.
i spent a good quality time at your casino on Friday may 6th 2016 until the early morning. i think its is unfair that you can have 2 managers, 5 cashiers and a cash machine running all day but when it comes to late night you have one cashier and no cash machine ever working properly! it was unbelievable how hard it was to see your employee not be able to go on break or even use the restroom right by the booth due to the high demands of customers in this town. i wanted to fill out a comment card at the front desk but i didn't want it to be taken as a complaint on the employee, but on the company... i wish i would have gotten his name so i can reward him in the future for cooperating and dealing with the situations you set up!
Rooms with a view, and excellent comfort and hospitality. Great place for gaming. We really enjoyed going out and finding the waterfalls in the area and then gaming at night. Wonderful spa specials and food. Great place for memories.
Sign up for a card at the players club & you will receive monthly deals on rooms with minimum play. We have stayed in both the river & falls view rooms. Our favourite is the river view where you have a balcony & can sit & enjoy the river & mountain views. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. The king rooms have a couch & table with 2 chairs. Large tiled walk in shower. Safe, robes, coffee maker with a supply of coffee, tea ,etc. small fridge, comfortable bed & linens. They provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion. The hotel has an indoor atrium pool & 1 small hot tub. Attached is a casino with 455 slot machines which is divided into 3 rooms, 2 smoking & 1 non smoking. Happy hour is 4-7 Monday to Thursday here you can purchase well drinks, beer & wine for $2. Free all day coffee & soft drinks are available beside the deli. We were here for 4 days & didn't eat anywhere but the springs restaurant located just off the lobby. The reason being....the food & service was excellent & you can sit outside on the balcony & enjoy the great views! We only had 3 real complaints....the toilet paper in the rooms was so thin, the coffee provided was SO strong, & the chairs at the pool had no cushions & were down right uncomfortable even with a towel. That being said we still had a great mini vacation & will return soon.
We stayed here for a Friday night getaway. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel room was very clean and large. I loved the huge shower and separate vanity. The pillows were a bit soft for my liking although there were plenty of them. Huge tv and tasteful decorations. I recommend the rooms with a balcony as the view is great (could watch Eagles) and we could sit outside in complete privacy. There is a great computer area and arcade on the second floor as well. We had a good meal at the Springs restaurant and had fun playing slots in the casino. We will definitely return and try out the spa next time.
The front desk staff are very friendly and help meet your requirements. The appearance of the hotel on the inside and outside is very inviting. The rooms are nicely decorated and certainly met our needs . There is plenty of parking available . The restaurant staff provide good service but sometimes the orders are slow in coming . Overall I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
We seen tv ads for $49.00/night, checked trip advisor site and they were not listed there, so we called the direct number and got the great deal. For $10.00/night, we upgraded to a river view room. We had friends with us that had never been to Bonners Ferry before, and they were blown away by the quality of the rooms and the river view. MJ at the front desk is surly an asset to the hotel. Her bubbly personality was what was needed after a 7 hr. drive! She made us feel so welcome and made sure we got everything we wanted. Having stayed there before, we were positive our friends would enjoy the expierence. And they were like I said, blown away??
We stayed in the newer building which is a nice building ...we stayed in the handicap room which is huge! The thing we did not know was that the train ran right behind the room and during the night the train blow the horn as it came through and it scared the heck out us each time it came through which was about 7 times !! The restaurant is amazing service and excellent food!!! if you are a non smoke as we are the smoke and the smell is over whelming in the lobby and in the main play rooms. Only one smaller "smoke free " area :( ..but we each won some money which is always good!
We stay on night on our way to Portland from Alberta, very good location and just off high way, very easy to find, the hotel has a casino on site, lot's of people on weekend. The view of river from room is great, hotel looks old but clean.
awesome staff, very clean everone is helpful and friendly highly recommend good food bar is good deli is good has a spa and fitness room pet friendly nice grass area to walk pets lots of parking close to everything in town
All ways have a blast here fun promotions and staff is all ways friendly and knows you by name , I love this place ????????????lots of fun slot machines to choose from and they all ways treat there Canadian guest very good
We stay at this hotel frequently. The room overlooks the river and have balconies. Staff are friendly. Food is usually very good. Had some issues our last trip. Casinos are too smoky for our liking but we still gamble. Love the pillows and bedding. Most of the mattresses are soft . Last trip they were a bit harder than we like but still good sleep.
We always enjoy this hotel, we are treated extremely well, and enjoy playing at the casino. North Idaho is one of the most beautiful parts of the USA, and Bonners Ferry is gorgeous. The hotel is certainly a great choice to stay in.
We have stayed here before and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff have always been helpful. The scenery is nice especially if the eagles are around. A relaxing atmosphere. The pool is a good size and more private.
We started going to this hotel several years ago. The hotel is located right by the Kootenai River so is a beautiful location. There is casinos onsite for both smokers and non smokers. The restaurant overlooks the river and has a very good selection of food items including a breakfast buffet. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The hotels best feature is its staff. Everyone is extremely friendly.
Nice rooms that are clean with comfortable beds. Room has high speed internet, tv, small refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee machine. No microwave or tub. Clean pool and hot tub but sometimes hot tub is low on water. There has been issues with maid service knocking multiple times before check out time. I had one of them walk in on me while I was getting out of shower, very unprofessional and upsetting. I am rating the service as poor only for this reason, all other services have been good.
This was my second time staying here. It did not disappoint. We were three ladies on a bus tour from Calgary, Alberta. The room was wonderful, attached to the main building by a walkway. We were on the main floor with very little noise from upstairs. We ate several times in the restaurant where the food was very plentiful and reasonable. We spend a lot of time sitting around the fireplace enjoying conversation also quiet time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Have stayed here several times. Staff is always courteous and very helpful! Rooms are nice, especially with the river right out the back door. Restaurant is decent except too many nights in a row with green beans as the vegetable served with meals. Love that they allow pets!
What a wonderful stay! The staff was excellent and even brought us a crib and microwave at no extra charge! They were very polite and prompt. The room was very spacious and clean with an incredible view!! Very comfortable bed and a very reasonable rate. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Helpful staff and a really decent room for the price. We stayed on the newer lodge side. Comfortable bed and a great shower.Trains run by at all hours which could be a thing for some light sleepers. The casino was darn busy but wasn't really our thing. The best thing about the hotel is the location on the river and the close walk to downtown.
The rooms are very nice and with a great view. Very clean The food is excellent with very nice wait staff lots of great choices of dinners , The breakfast buffet is also very good and the games are good too. Good for a romantic week night
We pulled into this Best Western on a cold and snowy night. The cost of the room for one night was $100 which included breakfast. The room was very spacious and modern. Free wifi. The bed was extremely comfortable. We ate supper in the restaurant. The prices were reasonable with a senior special (three choices) for $6.95. Our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was wonderfully decorated for Christmas. The next morning we had a complimentary full breakfast of eggs, bacon, harsh Browns and toast. Our waitress again was very friendly and provided excellent service. We would stay there again. It also has a casino if that interests you.
The staff is friendly and professional. I called to notify my late check in. The front desk staff greeted me by name. The room is excellent. The decor is splendid. The bed is very comfortable. Modern details. I definitely recommend this hotel.
not good, the waitress was not attentive at dinner. We had to ask for a box to go 3 times and our bill 2x. After she collected the bill and we had tipped her very well. She proceded to tell us we were very loud and were using bad language. Not once had she "asked" us to please keep it down, that we may have offened the 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. She became very rude and disrespectful.
Great place to eat, sleep and play a little Blackjack! Always a great time, but mid week specials are awesome! The river view is spectacular and the pool and hot tub is fun for kids and adults alike-We always have fun and the restaurant is lovely as well with a huge brunch Sundays and holidays.
We come to Bonners Fery several times a year and always stay at the Best Western. Great rooms and beds and helpful staff both in the hotel and the restaurant. The food is well prepared and with the gluten free options makes it so much easier for my wife to order her meals. There is lots of it and good value for your money.
The service and atmosphere are great but the beds are hard and uncomfortable.try the springs restaurant it has amazing food the rooms are spacious and very accommodating great place too stay with a 2 year old
I saw some trip advisor reviews that said the place is dirty, help is not friendly etc. I do not know where they were coming from. My room was spectacular (lodge room) and all of the employees were terrific. You might say the casino is small but, for the area, it is fine. I stay in lots of places- the room, food and staff were as good if not better than anyplace I have stayed. Highly recommend for business or couples- even families- the casino is really separate from other amenities. I can't imagine staying anywhere else for this area of the country.
I have stayed at the Inn numerous times and I get the same great service each and every time. They are so helpful and courteous. I will recommend them to anyone. My Thanks go out to the Staff for there service. The view is not bad also.
I'd have to say that the place is pretty impressive with it's great views and mostly exceptional employees. Food was alright, gambling was good and interactions with staff awesome. One thing negative I do have to mention though is the attitude, of whom I believe is in charge in your restaurant. (Older lady, white hair.) She was so unprofessional in her dealings with the 2 young girls busing the restaurant. IT was uncalled for as these 2 were working very hard. Never have I seen something. When you have someone taking out their bad day on others maybe it's time to look at what kind of person you have in charge. Clearly she had nothing nice to say and the attitude on her face said it all!
This is "TOP NOTCH" accommodation! I would recommend this location to a bus load of nuns! Very clean, warm, and friendly place with options to enjoy other amenities as well as those offered "in house". I feel very secure, comfortable, and appreciated and the entire staff is impressive!
The hotel was very clean, the staff was polite and very friendly. The whole experience was great. It was a great celebration of my birthday. In the casino it was clen they were very helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. Having Wi-Fi available is great to.
Friendly, efficient, professional staff. A well appointed room that was spotless, with a very comfortable bed. The rooms have a nice view of the river. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the hard working staff was friendly and efficient. The variety of slots in the casino made it very entertaining. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Good place for couples retreat. The spa had a special for massages and we tried it out. Can't do couples massages, which was disappointing, but we were able to get an appointment. The layout is a little confusing and getting to the spa was an odd little adventure, going by way of the pool.
greeted warmly when we arrived and check in was not a problem at all. hallway carpets were very dirty and worn but the room was nice and seemed to have been updated. bring your own pillows as the ones in room 210 awful.
Visited this surprisingly nice hotel in October, after the summer visitors had gone home. Very pleasant setting on the river. Big, nice rooms, quiet, pet friendly; private walking area along the river. Casino is very small, but we're not big on casinos. Really nice artwork in the hallways, and main lobby. Right next to the railroad tracks (but so is the entire town), but it wasn't a problem, the rooms are super quiet.
We have been here many times because it is a great experience to be a guest. The staff, from front desk to restaurant to cleaning personnel, to casino are all so friendly and easy to talk to. There is a high degree of professionalism in the staff and the vibe is really nice. The casino is good and the town of Bonner's Ferry is really quaint and fun to explore
We have stayed here before and found the hotel clean, the grounds well kept, the staff helpful and the food is good. The setting is very peaceful with the river beside the hotel and the mountains all around. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed at the hotel which was comfy and our room was right next to the pool. Had dinner in the restaurant, waited 25 minutes to be seated and 15 for our server to come to our table. $4 extra for salad bar, $1 extra for soup and the rolls that used to come with the meal are now $1 a piece.
The Booner's Ferry Best Western is an awesome property and a great base to use for visiting Northern Idaho a short drive down the road to Canada and some of the most beautiful country in the Western U.S. And if that isn't enough they have some great penny slot machines :) The rooms are beautiful and the staff is great.
My husband and I decided to go up to check out the casino and spend the night. we had a jaccuzi suite and it has heavenly. the fireplace on a crisp fall evening was great, the bed was comfy, Everything about our room was amazing. However, I wish I count say that about the casino, very disappointing to us. Wer are regular casino players and to some degree expect some play back.. We play with money we know we can afford to loose. The bonus round on all the machines we played was rare if non-existent. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was out right bad. I never thought anyone could ruin a hamburger, but it happened and in addition to bad food the service from our waitress was worse. I understand its Saturday night and your didn't want to be there and it showed. Besides bad food , it was so slow to get, when dinner was done the waitress didn't even ask if we wanted desert or coffee. She brought the bill., at least give me a choice. Oh well Because of the food and no play back your only getting an average The hotel and front desk staff rate a five star EXCELLENT
This place is casino as well as a hotel. They do offer free play if you join their club and they gladly accept your "donations". The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and the room was great. Very quiet and well decorated with a very comfortable kingsized bed. We ate in the restaurant which has a very nice river view and the food was very good for dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
Lots of free parking. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was spotlessly clean, modern, new and love the shower. Beds were extremely comfortable. Sunday brunch is 50% off if you stay in the hotel. Both the food and service was excellent. Very relaxing view overlooking the river from your hotel room balcony. 3 casino's to choose from, which were fun. Free internet which was lightning fast.
well. we reserved the rooms 2 weeks pior to arrival. 2 rooms adjoining. it was my husbands birthday. we had my mom with us and that's why we wanted the adjoining rooms, cause she cant be alone due to being eldering and needing help. but when we arrived they said there were no adjoining rooms. but we could have rooms two doors down from eachother.. so we ended up just getting one room. the point im making is why make reservations when they don't take care to help in what your needs are.
This is a wonderful place. Quiet. Casino is loaded with many machines for a small place. customer service was good...Gal named Briana at the front, exceptionally wonderful and helpful. Will be back!!!!!
We arrived late. Dinner was still being served, It was fast and very very good. Check in staff had our room ready, we requested a handicap accessible room. it was outstanding we elected to stay here on our return trip though the area a week later.
