Love the property and staff. I would recommend this property to friend and family. Price for the room and the quality of the breakfast is a deal. The rooms are very clean. Staff is in their game. Will stay again.

Looking for a quality hotel in an expensive area that isn't outrageous price then this is the one to choose. This is an older Best Western but it has been kept in quality condition and is quite comfortable.

Clean. Fitness room. Above average breakfast. Nice staff. Coffee and cookies after 3 in the lobby. Easy parking. Comfy beds. Nice TV. Fridge and microwave in the room. Clean iron. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. Good value for all the place offers. Good variety of restaurants close.

Clean and comfortable just like home, lovely decor. Check-in was easy, management available to assist if needed. Breakfast was plentiful and quite a variety of items, well staffed and attention to detail.

Yes, this is not a brand new property, but everything was clean and worked well. The bed was comfortable, great shower with nice, thirsty towels, and the best buffet hot breakfast we've had at a hotel in a long time. The staff were all very nice. Easy to get to location from the interstate.

Accessible to major highways (without the noise) and attractions, clean, good breakfast. The gas station next door needs to be paved to cut down on outside dust and noise. Shower head leaked but staff were responsive.

This hotel was just fine. The furniture could use some updating but not worth subtracting points over. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. I haven't slept so well in ages. Towels were nice and fluffy. The room was very clean. Check in was easy and staff were helpful. They gave us a "thank you" bag with bottled water and snacks which was very nice. We did not use the breakfast service so can't comment on that. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nice, quiet hotel, easy access to I5, walking distance to restaurants (La Patrona was delicious), big jacuzzi, options for those with disabilities. Decent breakfast. Eggs definitely powdered. Comfortable beds, blockout curtains. Nice sized tub, extra sink outside of bathroom. Doors are bit loud.

The reason why only rated 3, is this hotel DOEST NOT HAVE ELEVATOR!! I have single queen bed room, the space is good, but is a bit out to date. Hot breakfast choice is good, 4 main dishes, but would be nicer to have 2nd waffle machine and more cereal choices.

As I was checking in, I had an option of a goody bag or a little bag for my fur baby. Although, I chose the one for my pooch. The staff was on point. The only thing I had a problem with was with one room where the toilet wasn't working right. I went to the front desk to speak to them but. It got fixed. But, the location where the room was, was just right for my mom and I. The room was very clean and satisfying.

Property is convenient off I-5. Basic hotel. Rooms were nice. Very basic. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was extremely basic. Staff wasn't the most receptive or friendly I've ever experienced. They need lessons in customer service. They weren't rude, but indifferent.

Would stay again. I admit I don't stay at BWs that much, but the breakfast here was way better than breakfast at the Hilton and Marriott equivalents. The hot food was more than the packaged omelettes (which are great too, but this was a nice step up). Overall the room was decent, no complaints. It was clean and that's what matters to us. Having the sink outside the bathroom was nice for a family like us. It wasn't exactly new, but we didn't have any issues. The staff was friendly and helpful. A line formed at check-in time (3pm) and I believe the manager came out to help reduce the wait time (the name on her name tag matched the name of the manager's business card stack on the check-in counter). Watching a manager like that I wasn't too surprised that the service was good.

We found a large spider on the wall on Day 1 of our stay. The bathroom: round toilet, not elongated. Toilet seat was not installed to the toilet so it kept falling off. Bathroom is also very small. Shower is old and water pressure very low. I finally compared pricing and found a cheaper hotel with higher rating and switched to Ramada Wyndham and it was less money but much better quality. If Best Western Tumwater charged 30% less I wolud consider staying. Not worth the money I paid.

Comfortable beds and rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast was above average with many healthy choices. Fairly slow wifi, kept dropping out. TV selection was average. Fitness room was well below average. Trip Advisor says this wasn't long enough so I added this sentence.

visited the brewery park, so beautiful, and the golf course for lunch - very nice - lots of history there too- all worth the stop and a stroll!! great staff and yummy cookies - comfortable bed and nice sitting area.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They went out of their way to stop their own activities and come to offer assistance. The breakfasts were tasty, with enough variety and the breakfast room was clean and inviting.

We could hear neighbors talking in their room. Low flow shower head and placed extra high. Sink are not separate from sleeping area. Other rooms may have a different layout? Would be worth asking, it's a nice hotel and decent breakfast!

Had to stop over in Tumwater while escaping the snow. The room was very clean, the gym was surprisingly well-stocked with machines (treadmill, elliptical AND working weight machine along with dumbbells), and the breakfast was very fine. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Stopped in after a long travel day between California and Canada. Traveling with a large dog, and they were very accommodating for a small nightly fee. Very friendly staff, great breakfast options. Best Westerns are always my go to when traveling with a dog. Hotel is very close to many restaurants, coffee places, grocery stores, gas stations, Walmart and Costco. Easy access on and off the I-5.

Amazing staff and customer service. I have stayed at this property a few times in the last month and all of the staff has been amazing. The rooms have and common spaces are extremely clean. Nice hot breakfast every morning and warm cookies in the evening. The location is very convenient as well. I would highly recommend.

This hotel is a nice clean budget friendly option for the Olympia area. The hotel lobby and rooms are nice. The area is quiet with lots of restaurants nearby. We lucked out and all the places we wanted to go were on the same street so if you are headed to the Tack Room Too and Keiperts Trailers this is your place!

A bit tucked away. Entrance is easy to miss on the main road. Parking next to hotel is limited but there is plenty in the adjacent office complex. Nice Mexican restaurant right next door. Staff was very competent and property was clean and well-managed.

It is very clean. The staff was very helpful and had a great sense of humor. Breakfast was good. The place was very clean. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. If in the area we definitely will stay here again.

The staff member I delt with was rude and unhelpful. Room not up to par and no one available or willing to help with a maintenance issue “past hours”. When trying to get help with said maintenance issue, staff member presented himself as bothered and uncaring.

Never any complaints when it comes to the staff here. They always welcome me by name, friendly, and always look out for me! They even remember my need for extra towels without even asking now. That is great customer service.

Looks like a new property. Fresh finishes. I appreciated the double-size "mini" refrigerator with a pretty large freezer compartment. This allowed me to re-freeze my cold packs that I use in my large cooler. I was impressed with the two sink/vanities - one in room and one in the bathroom. Looked like a reasonably configured exercise room. I don't like small pillows, especially those filled with foam chunks. Either the plumbing is undersized or the walls are too thin. When the shower was turned on next door, I had to turn up the TV to hear it. Other than that, no real noise problems.

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way to the Port Angeles ferry next day. Upon check in, we were given a ground floor room as requested & were allowed to park our motorcycle near the hotel front door for added security. Front desk young lady was polite & friendly. Room was clean, very comfortable bed, good a/c, nice towels & toiletries. Good breakfast next morning.

This hotel had easy access off and on interstate 5, and a large parking lot that was well lit. I appreciated being acknowledged as a Rewards member when I checked in. I had a second floor room and it was clean and quiet. As I have found frequently with the Best Westerns I have stayed at, this location did not have an elevator. There were a variety of quick grab and go breakfast options and the Jimmy Dean sandwiches were hot and tasted good.

It's not fancy hotel but having hot tub, hot breakfast, clean, gym, I have no complain at all for the price. Only I wish gym is open more later hours rather than locked out at 10pm. Welcome Cookies serve at evening check in is plus:)

Good rates, convenient location and a caring staff. Covid-19 affected many hotels I've visited including this one but they still put out a satisfying breakfast. I'm happy to recommend this location to all travelers.

Excellent staff, including front desk and breakfast guy!!!! Always with a smile, helping and fast!!! I didn't request housekeeping during my 2 night stay but the room was super clean and I was happy too! One thing I have to say is that the shower was very old, no power, and barely water dropping, need to do something here as my daughter has the same issue in her room.

We use BW motels all the time. Sometimes we are impressed and other times less than impressed. The Best Western in Tumwater, WA was such a pleasure. The room was beautiful, the staff wonderful and the price affordable. We will definitely be staying there again. They were great! BTW, walking out into the lobby in the late afternoon was crazy-great with the aroma of freshly baked cookies! We were very happy to stay there.

Very clean hotel with friendly efficient staff. Ample parking and many restaurants and Starbucks and Dutch Brothers within walking distance. Fitness area and hot tub available and very clean. Heater was a bit noisy- had to turn off during the night to sleep. Bed very supportive and comfortable.

They are the worst hotel I have ever been the staff is mean and stocked me during my stay.. they grouped together and had cellphone out like recording my leaving and laughed at me for having so much stuff in my car I had been traveling and my last hotel had refrigerator so I had alot of food go to waste so was sorting out what was good and bad.. they spied on me as I was leaving and then when I put my last bag in they said " Mission accomplished" and all 5 of them walked back into hotel.. They didn't like me because I got upset when they didn't have a to guaranteed room for me because they over booked my stay even though I called them 4 times before my stay and made it clear that I had a dog they didn't have a dog so called dog friendly room.. my dog spilled his water and housekeeping thought he had peed in room so the manager asked me to leave because of a wet spot. They told me they were going to charge me 30 dollars every night for my pet for 14 days even though there policy book said 20 a night no more then 100 a week.. there were always under my nose and in my business and breakfast bar don't dare take some to your room for other guests staying with you and go back to enjoy a cup of coffee and ask for some fruit and danishes to take back to room they accused me of getting two plates and coming back for another plate even though I didn't ask for anymore hot food..I couldn't do anything right and after talking to corporate it got worse they ganged up on me and came up with an excuse to have me leave. They hate dogs and try all they can to keep them out of their place..They intimidated me and were under my nose all the time.. I couldn't do anything right.. night staff was nice and friendly but manager is so rude and makes you feel two inches tall I will never stay here again and they acted like they were happy about that.. I would stay away from them now la quinta in Tumwater was awesome when I stayed there loved it it's worth it to have friendly people around you.. If you have a pet Best Western in Tumwater is not a place I recommend they don't let you stay in non friendly pet rooms and overbook what rooms they have.when we did get in to a room next day it had spots all over the floor even though they imply they cleaned it with your pet fee.. they lied to me and said there rooms were booked but I found on booking.com where they had openings.. Worst hotel experience I have ever had . Very rude, intimidating, intrusive and they harassed me all because I had a dog and got upset when they booked a guaranteed room yet didn't guarantee it..

Called a head and reseverved a room just to be given a smaller room and they weren't willing to fix it. Beds were super uncomfortable and broke down . All counters were sticky and room had a bad smell from the ac that made a horrible noise. Posted they had a first aid kit but when I asked they told me no. Staff was unfriendly and rude. Whole hotel needs an upgrade.

The room was a nice size and clean. The is a restaurant next door which was nice after a day of traveling to just walk to it. There was a great selection for breakfast with a friendly server. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit though.

This hotel is at the lower end of typical Best Western Hotels, but is still worth the price. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed, but the bathroom was uncomfortably small. To the detriment of both my travelling companion and myself, the heating/cooling unit was soaked in air freshener; aside from the smell, it caused stuffy sinuses and headache. When will hotel chains recognize the reality (and increasing incidence) of environmental sensitivity? Breakfast was varied and of good quality, served by a cheerful and personable employee. Thanks to him!

On the road to Ocean Shores had business in Olympia. Easy on and off I5 freeway. Close to McLain Dog Park, Golf course & Parks. So many kinds of Shopping. Warm Cookies Hot zeta & Coffee. Very nice Staff.

Affordable, extremely helpful and friendly staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable , the hotel decor is pleasant the rooms are clean & quiet we had good sleep. It's a relatively safe feeling area (compared to surrounding areass- Centraila /Chehalis) this hiotel was ahout perfect for our needs.

Good breakfast options, friendly staff, convenient location. Restaurant options within walking distance. No elevator, but able to stay on first floor. Hot breakfast items, not vegan, but waffles and Bob's Red Mill oatmeal available.

Mark was awesome and very polite. Clean place and there was no trashy people around. It was great. I would tell anyone to stay there. The price was great and so was the service. Even offered to grab my bags

Couldn't ask for anything better. I was traveling from Eastern WA with a dog to get surgery, and we stayed 4 extra nights due to pass closures in WA, and road closures along I-84 out of Portland and SR 14 out of Vancouver (WA). I was more than happy to remain holed up at this property. It had everything I needed; the staff felt like family; I felt at home there. I have several trips planned to the southern part of the Olympic Peninsula, and I will make this my base camp for daily excursions. I loved everything about the Tumwater Best Western.

Stayed one night in the Hotel, as my son had his SAT exam at Tumwater High School on the following day. This Hotel is near a freeway exit, but can be easily missed. The check-in process was smooth. Room was quite spacious with all the basic amenities. They had a limited Breakfast menu due to Covid restrictions. The staff were courteous and helpful. There are shops (Fred Meyer, Costco) within 5 min driving distance.

Friendly staff. Clean comfortable lodging. Exceptional breakfast. Covid cautious. Great value. Fridges in rooms could use repair and or replacement. And issue for some might be that there is no elevator. We'd definitely go back.

We stayed her because of a family members wedding. The front desk was very polite helped us find a room for early check in. Was very clean. Check out was simple and easy and they even had fresh cookies qt the desk

This place has the best free breakfast and the cook Richard is such a positive person to talk to. I wish the bed was a little more comfortable, but I would stay again for the breakfast, I recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

The front desk was decorated for the season with fall leaves and lights. It was so welcoming when checking in or passing through the lobby. There were freshly baked cookies at night which added to the home-like atmosphere. Our room was large and employees were very aware of safety protocols. Breakfast was great and coffee, tea, and water were available 24/7 in the lobby. I did not see a pool, but there is a fitness and business center. The wifi signal was strong.

Great stay. Super fast checkin, clean room, very friendly. The server at the breakfast was very kind. (Breakfast was good. Pre-made breakfast sandwiches due to covid, which I get; fruit, cereal etc) Big TV, lotsa cable channels. Hot water in shower/tub, good pressure. :)

I stayed here for 2 nights and I'm glad I didn't stay longer. This property is obviously old. It is 2 levels and there's no elevator. So I chose a room on the first level. My fears came true. I could hear people walking around above me. The furnishings are outdated and remind me of motels my family stayed at decades ago. There's no USB ports to charge your devices. There is a small refrigerator and it barely functions and it is noisy. I put my water bottled in the freezer overnight and it was just chilled. The bathroom was so small it couldn't accommodate the sink. That was outside with all the pipes visible underneath. My room was not cleaned because I stayed in my room a little too long in the morning and housekeeping left already. The breakfast was under average. I would never stay here again.

Pet policy and mandatory 48 hr cleaning of the rooms were both inconvenient. Pet fee was also at the high end of $30/day. But staff was great and the beds were amazing! You'll enjoy your stay here for sure!

Needed one night on a busy weekend. Nice clean room and good breakfast (covid-style). It was the best price in town and the staff was four-star hotel material. Close to pretty much whatever you'd want in Olympia or Tumwater. Easy parking.

Was just looking for a decent stopover between the San Juan Islands and the coast but found it greatly exceeded expectation. Front desk staff at check in and out were particularly helpful. Large room was clean, beds comfortable, complete with microwave and fridge. I didn't notice any odor (mentioned in other reviews). We asked for, and got, a quiet room away from the doors. Happily found the laundry across the hall which was great for midway through a road trip. Parking lot seemed secure. Breakfast was limited (covid) but more than any other place we stayed (except for 1 other Best Western). There were wrapped breakfast sandwiches and the usual yogert & muffins etc served by staff. There was a pool & spa though I didn't use it. Even a computer and printer available. Really, I cant think of anything lacking for an overnight stay.

The check in and out was easy with friendly and helpful staff. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I did not report this as what would/could they do. The whole place smells like that. The bed was not real lumpy but well on it's way to be. This place is very ceiling and water loud. Near by showers and running water is amplified through the walls and the floor above reverberates with every step taken. The water pressure is very poor. I would not stay here again.

Great staff and amazing breakfast bar with great options and very clean and polite environment! I would recommend this to anyone who is in the Olympia area! Rose is the manager and was very helpful and very polite to my girlfriend and I.

We came for a visit with family that recently moved to the area. It was clean, quiet and staff were all amazing. Centrally located near historic points of interest, restaurants and shopping. As well as plenty of non crowed outdoor activities. Masks required for guest and staff safety. Rooms cleaned every other day minimum. Overall a great stay and will return on our next visit!

We stayed here for one night. We did not spend much time in the room as we were in Olympia to attend a wedding. Our room was clean but it smelled awful. It smelled like strong air freshener that wa covering up years of stale smoke. When I got home from my trip, my clothes all smelled like the room. Not pleasant! When we woke up to leave, I went to shower and there was no shower curtain. We showered with out it. The bed was not comfortable. I would not stay here again. A friend found the place and I followed blindly, next time I will do my research.

the hotel was easy to find and we called. they were really helpful, we were having trouble finding a place to stay and the website said there was nothing and when we called, they had 2 open, check in was fast and in, the staff was very polite and helpful. room was clean, beds were comfy.

Everyone at this hotel was kind and friendly. The hotel was clean, had comfortable beds/pillows and served a great breakfast every day. This is now the only hotel that I'll stay at when visiting the area.

The staff and cleanliness of this hotel were fantastic. Water pressure is a bit...lacking, it was much like having a 'misting' instead of a shower. The beds however? Were atrocious. I woke up each night with my hips hurting because of how hard the mattresses were. I ended up getting 2 extra blankets so I could use the lovely plump comforter as a mattress pad instead.

Stayed here on a weekend. Located a couple blocks from freeway so pretty quiet. Helpful, friendly staff. Due to weekend and Covid the breakfast selection wasn't great, but enough to get us by. Comfortable bed but comforter tends to be a bit too hot for my taste.

Comfy beds, good sized rooms, free breakfast and wifi. What more do you need? Friendly, helpful staff at all levels. They saw I used a cane and changed out reservation to an upgrade first floor room. Unexpected and not really necessary but much appreciated.

We stayed here one night during a 3 week care trip circling the Olympic National Park. WWE got recommendations for dinner that worked out well and we were close to the south end of Puget Sound for viewing. Breakfast was very good and served by a friendly local man who knew the area well.

I was shocked that the heavy curtains can't be closed, only tacked on the ends for looks. Couldn't get any sleep during daylight after long travels. We were on first floor so folks could look right in because only curtain was the thin sheer curtains. Also had crappy internet connection that dropped out all the time..

Room was comfortable. Pet friendly I was traveling with my pet and used the pet-friendly. It had a faint urine odor - which is why I gave it an "average" rating - but was otherwise okay. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Nice, hot continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, breakfast sandwiches and burritos.

Don't stay here. They lie about available rooms and will still screw up your reservation even after they say they've fixed it. I was kicked out into the heat a day early because they couldn't use their own reservation system and lied about how their system only said some of their rooms were pretty friendly. Don't go here ever.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are updated and spacious. Ample breakfast selection (no vegan). Easy accessible parking, including space fir oversized vehicles. Drink/snack vending machines fir latenight nosh.

Best Western in Tumwater offers clean rooms for travelers for an overnight. The rooms could benefit from fixing a few improvements but are overall are comfortable. The is a larger variety of breakfast offerings than what one usually encounters at Best Westerns and the service is friendly and competent.

I have not stayed at a Best Western in years. I was happily surprised that the room was more comfortable than I expected and the King room was clean and spacious with a comfortable desk and a couch. I was travelling for work so it was necessary for me to have a large desk. The people that worked at the front desk provided great customer service when I needed assistance printing documents and suggestions on where to go to get wine.

Excellent staff and very near restaurants and sights. This was a quick visit and we picked the best of the Best Western places to begin our Washington adventure. I highly recommend the breakfast and the employees were very professional and know the area well as it is placed just below Olympia. I will defenitely stay on my next visit.

Love this place, staff that works here are amazing. General Manager Rose is such a great person always greet you with a smile & made sure you was taken care of even her staff they are great people. Rooms are clean, housekeeping are on point with their jobs. Wanna stay at a clean place with great people I recommend you coming here it's worth it.

Booked and paid for a "pet friendly room" then they added $20 per day at check in for having a pet. I asked for a manager and showed the clerk that the BW page did not show any pet fee, but no manager working on Friday or the weekend.

The hotel was clean and the room was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was served by a very friendly lady. She offered us a warm jimmy dean sausage biscuit or muffins. There was a variety of juices and coffee to drink. Check out was easy and the location was convenient.

Hotel was sparkling clean, quiet, and comfortable. By far the cleanest hotel in the Olympia area. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lobby was decorated for the holidays which gave it a cozy, home-like feel.

Close to good food, shopping, safe area, lots of parking. The room and facilities were clean and nicely decorated with comfy beds. This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel with softball teams, and each time they have exceeded our expectations. Not only are the rooms clean and comfortable, but the staff genuinely care about their guests' experience. They are gracious hosts, and I highly recommend staying here for business or pleasure. Rose and all the hospitality staff were great.

My husband, dog, and I stayed here for two nights. We enjoyed our stay overall and loved that we could bring our pet. They had a welcome bag for our dog and also had cookies when we arrived. The breakfast options were vast&tasty and the bed was comfy. We would stay here again if in the area.

Good hotel from what little we experienced of it. We didn't get to experience the pool, workout areas or breakfast due to Covid. Wifi worked good, the beds were very comfortable and warm. Staff was friendly. Neighborhood wasn't great but wasn't terrible, easy access to highway.

I only stay at this hotel when visiting the Olympia - Tumwater area. It by far exceeds my expectations for a hotel stay. The entire staff here is exceptional and always go above and beyond to provide a great experience for customers.

Rooms were OK. Minifridge qnd microwave barely work. Drunk guy next door tried breaking in through locked door to adjacent suite. Staff response was to ask him not to do it again. Just had to deal with loud banging on and off all night.

This is a nice property. It's a bit tucked away, took a minute to find it, with a relatively modern look and feel to it. Each staff member was really courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, with new/newish furnishings. You're not far from the highway here, but there's a thick, wooded area behind the hotel. Parking was ok. A little tight up front, lots of room in back. Most folks wouldn't care, but the stairwells were wide and easy to navigate. There are quite a few restaurants in the area, some of them just a block or two away. A day later, we stayed at the Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn. Also, a very nice experience. The hotels have a similar feel (ignoring the difference in locations), with the Tumwater hotel just not quite as dressed up as the one along the river.

Easy access from I-5. Room was clean and quiet with no highway noise. Pet area was handy. The breakfast was good with the normal offerings but the scrambled eggs were better than many other locations we've stayed. Have stayed here before and would stay here again.

This place is our go to hotel for our annual spring break trip, the place is very clean, awesome price and the breakfast is great! Check in and out were easy and stress free. Be sure to sign up for best western rewards program for some great deals.

One of the best run motels we have ever lodged at! The room was always very clean (7 days), the employees were all very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and well run and very clean. The location was great, right off the freeway in the middle of Tumwater.

We have stayed here many times and it is our favorite place. The rooms are great, staff are always friendly, and the food is good. They are always so accommodating if you have to check in early. The rooms are always very clean and the beds are comfortable. One of the things I really love are the pillows (sounds odd, I know) that are full sized; not the goofy tiny ones so many hotels use. During the week days, there are complimentary “get together” mini-meals in the evenings with 2 complementary drinks (beer or wine). Complimentary breakfast is good, also, and the staff who work that are also super nice!

Saturday 2/8/20? Yearly Basciball Family's showed up? And ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE! to where Staff? Can't KICK THEM OUT! at least 6 Family's 30 kids......what the HELL is this world coming TO!!!! This was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The bed was super comfortable, and the facility was very clean. The hot breakfast was great, and all staff was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely stay here again.

I was unpleasantly surprised by this hotel. First my hair dryer was broken -- a short circuit I guess because when you turned it on you could smell it burning. When I called the desk for a replacement I was told there wasn't one. Then at around 2:30 in the morning someone pounded on my door yelling Ma'am, wake up Ma'am. Scared the bejeezes out of me as a single older woman. He said the room below was floodig and he needed to check my bathroom to see if the yub was overflowing. Huh? Why not call and ask? Whydo you have to come into my room in the middle of the night. Was it really the hotel. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. In the morning I got a note saying I would get extra points. But I don't know if that was for the hair dryer. Waking me or what. Would have been nice for the manager to come.and apologize and then comp the room or who knows what. Anyway, I will not be back. Too wierd and a letter saying here's some points -- no matter how many -- does not give me a warm fuzzy like a personal apology and explanation from the manager.

Every interaction i had with this best western was splendid. Check in was fast I got my points and giftbag without asking, very nice experience. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was guite good at this location. I look forward to staying there again.

Stayed here one night for business and had no problems. No pool. I would stay here again if I am in the area. Already said all I have to say about my brief stay and now just trying to get to the 200 character min.

We stayed at this location for one night. Easy access to and from highway. Biggest surprise was when we were informed upon checking that tonight they have a Social night!!! Which meant a la carte tacos, 2 free alcoholic drinks per person, pop etc for kids...all complimentary for guests. Way to go Best western!!! We were so tired so fact we did not have to go look for food was much welcomed!!! Although hotel is close to restaurants and some shops. Lady at the bar was nice to save the bottle caps for my collection. Hotel was clean, had small gym and hot tub I believe. Full breakfast in the morning!!! Very well located for whatever needs you have. An awesome quick stay, thank you!!!

We had a great stay one minor problem but they were great. Just make sure that they want to have the toilet seat secured better but other than that it was great. Beds were decent, breakfast wasnt over the top but it was good.

This hotel was convenient for visiting Tumwater Falls and other parks, and to visit Olympia. The lobby was very cozy with a fireplace. Our room was comfortable and clean. The area was quiet and we slept well.

So glad we chose this hotel, the location was convenient and close to shopping And the highway although in a quiet location. Easy parking and nice facilities include a hot tub and gym. Fresh baked cookies in the evening and the best breakfast I've had at a BW yet. We had noisy people above us and were offered another room which made a. Big difference. Would definitely stay again.

Love this hotel. Parking is not the best, but the staff welcome me like I was coming home. Mon-Wed they serve snackes in the evening. Not a meal, but after you have been on the road all day, it is a nice bite to eat and they offer a few beers. What more could you want? I will be back for sure.

We recently stayed at the Tumwater Best Western. The staff is friendly and competent and our room was nice and comfortable. I will make a point of booking this hotel next time I am in Olympia. The free breakfast was also far more then we expected.

Akk staff was friendly and very prompt. Breakfast was good nice and hot with a good variety. My only issue was the bed, a little uncomfortable and very noisy when you moved. Other than that it was a good experience

This BW should be rated as a BW PLUS : everything was close to perfection and I am quite a critical person : we even got a free appetizer and wine and beer + freshly baked cookies . I would certainly recommend this one ! Congratulations from a diamond member from Europe.

We got a room as a walk-in one Saturday evening our our travels. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a hot breakfast with lots of choices. I was impressed. I would stay here again if I was passing through.

Rooms not the cleanest Common areas even dirtier During the week, came across 2 large spiders. Leaking toilet that needed to refill every 4 minutes Overcharged when checking out Room wasn't ready for check-in for 3 hrs.

This is the place to stay. Beds were super comfortable. Not to soft, not to hard, juuuuuuusssst right. I was there for Tumwater Brewfest and after a 10 hour day and a little bit of beverages I crashed hard and slept through the whole night.

This principle has no pool. Clean room and common areas. Free Seattle Times in the morning. Limited but good breakfast. There is a Dutch Bros close by. Available for rewards nights at only 20,000 points.

Good room: clean, well maintained, good amenities good breakfast:: hot , good quality and quantity , nice selection easy access to the interstate, lots of parking, did not see any oversized parking for say a moving van.

This is a nice place to stay, the staff was very friendly. Its about a block off the freeway which makes the location a bit quieter than some others. The room was clean and the breakfast was good too.

Stopped here en route south for a night. We arrived at 11 pm and were greeted with 2 goodie bags containing bottled water and snacks. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included with hot eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits with gravy and cold items as well. Service was great. Be sure to leave a tip to the attentive staff. Definitely recommended.

For a quick trip, very efficient front desk, clean rooms, price was good. The only concern was location, it was a little awkward to get to. Would stay here again with my kids. The staff in the evening were extremely helpful.

When I made the reservation, I asked if it would be possible to arrive from Seattle Airport in time for the evening reception. The girl with whom I spoke said, "I will make a note to save a plate for you and your guest." Seattle to Tumwater traffic turned a 43 mile trip into 2.5 hour drive. When we checked in at 7:30 pm, Aricelly & Rachel quickly turned around and gave us two plates of salad, a plate with 3 corn dogs, and packets of salad dressing. We had never encountered such hospitality at any other hotel. Our room was very clean, the hotel was quiet, and we got a good sleep. Yes, it is easy to miss seeing the hotel from the road; they need better signage. Aricelly and Mark were very helpful and cared about the customers staying there. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here on an overnight trip. The property is a little hard to see from the street when you drive up from the interstate. Having said that, we'd definitely stay here again in the future. The staff (especially Jared) are really friendly. The mattress was a little worn but immaculately clean and comfortable to sleep on. There was plenty of space for a portable crib, and the fridge in the room was generously sized for a hotel. Breakfast was mostly your standard hotel menu, but they also had several dairy-free and gluten-free options, including almond milk out on the counter for cereal which was nice touch. How pet friendly was it? We brought our dog with us, and he made himself comfortable on the bed and didn't want to move for the rest of the evening. The pet room was very clean, spacious, and was pretty close to an exterior door. The only downside was that the outdoor space was exceedingly limited for walking him. You could hear water running from the upstairs rooms and some noise, but our room was pretty soundproofed as well.

This hotel is one of the best in Olympia /Tumwater area. The breakfast is the best.The staff is friendly, Location is good. You could not ask for better for the price of the rooms. I can not believe I need 200 caractors what nore can I say it is the best place to stay in Olympia

This BW was very clean, a little hard to find, but when we did, we found it to be very clean and staff friendly , it was so too bad that the TV were out from an excavator hitting a power line but we were offer our money to stay else where but we declined, the breakfast was exceptional.

The BWT-OI is the perfect halfway point between Salem/Portland OR and the Black Ball Ferry in Port Angeles, Wa. This is out fourth stay at this hotel and it never fails our high expectations. Aracely at the front desk was wonderfully welcoming and friendly. A great way to start our stay! The room was spacious and comfortable. We love the vanity setup here: the bathroom/shower is separate from the sink/dressing area. This makes it convenient to get ready for the day while another is in the shower. Kimber in the dining room is an absolute treasure!!! She is always in high gear making sure that each guest has a pleasant breakfast experience. Nothing got cold, supplies of food never got too low, and Kimber did the work of three people...all with a smile and "whistling while she works." When you leave a hotel, and there are staff that you are going to miss, that says so much about how we were treated. You absolutely cannot go wrong at this hotel. BW seems to hire the best! That has been our experience. Thanks for the wonderful service!!

I have never had a bad experience with Best Western. Consistently clean, courteous and a good breakfast in the morning. I have paid a lot more for inferior overnight stays. I am sold on th value and quality of Best Western. My first choice in hotels.

Provides Good basic accommodations. Clean, comfortable. Evening social hour and Breakfast were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. No frills but nice room, comfortable bed. I'm making it my go to place for meetings in Olympia.

I stayed at this hotel for a week until my house was available, I had my dog with me and was going to work every day. I felt safe, was confident my dog was safe while I was gone. The breakfast was great, staff excellent, room and hotel spotless. Bed comfortable !

Our room ended up being the handicapped room on the first floor - big plus is the size of the room and the roll in shower - no we did not need these items but thery were nice for us who are nonhandicapped - clean and comfy room and over the top breakfast - -right on I-5

Fine for a basic stay...walls were extremely thin so next door shower felt like it was in your bed. The breakfast is always a waste in my opinion. ...bed was OK, not great...and filling up the space because I have nothing else really important to say but must do so to submit review

We like to take mini vacations with our grandsons, ages 4 & 5 and like to go to the Best Western Tumwater Inn. It has a nice indoor pool and an excellent breakfast. The rooms are large and comfortable and the prices is a good value. Also a good location to family fun near by in Olympia.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times when travelling. They offer a "Welcome Time" for two hours which is a social, offering something to eat & drink. This is appreciated when travelling all day & not wanting to go out.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Spacious even with two beds, chairs and desk. Wonderful breakfast assortment! Will definitely be staying again. No pool but nice hot tub off fitness center. Friendly staff. Kids loved the evening cookies!

Had to stop overnight while passing through. Room was very clean. Only had one issue of very noisy neighbors. After complaining to the front desk they were removed from the hotel. Got a discount for the inconveniences without having to ask for compensation. Breakfast was fantastic.

I have a short stay here. The hotel is a little bit hotel but it's clean and has everything we need. It's breakfast has good variety, cold and hot. Very good service. You will also find some fast food and restaurants nearby. Very convenient location.

I stayed at this hotel during a significant snow event when I was without power at my home. The hotel is very clean, the rooms were comfortable, and furnishings were nice. All the staff were helpful and friendly. They offer complimentary breakfast each morning, warm cookies each evening, and beverages and appetizers Monday - Wednesday evenings. My single complaint is they did not remove snow from the parking area. They eventually cleared the walkway in front of the hotel but I was told they do not own the parking lot so they wouldn't clear it. If I had been able to move my car, I would have been able to leave two days sooner than I did. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

We spent 2 nights here during a recent trip where we traveled around all of Washington State. Of all the hotels we stayed in, this one stood out due to the exceptionally friendly staff who were all willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. Initially, we had some problems with our reservation, which we had made through a hotel booking website. However, the attendant at the desk, Hava, contacted the booking company for us and sat on hold with them for almost 30 min, while going ahead and letting us get settled into our room and while checking in other guests. She eventually got everything worked out for us and we were able to finalize our check in. It was wonderful not having to work through the issue on our own without being able to check in to a room. Everyone we encountered within the hotel was equally as friendly and willing to assist when needed. Beyond the great customer service, the rooms were also clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area in the future.

The hotel is clean and we'll maintained. The front desk staff was very helpful. The hot tub was lovely. My only complaint is that breakfast is set out at 6 am and then left alone until it's cleaned up. The coffee was completely gone and their bread was pretty stale. The hotel was a little expensive for there not being anything of interest around it.

My mother in law fell and broke some ribs. Came to make sure she is getting good care and all the help she needs. She is 97 years old. We are happy she is doing good. Hopefully she will be home soon so all of the family can visit

Really friendly staff, super clean rooms. Be aware that there's no elevator so if you have mobility issues that may be a concern. Room walls are a little thin ;) Looking forward to staying here again.

I stay here whenever I am in this area, The staff is incredible and Mexican restaurant next door is incredible as well, Starbucks close by other restaurants and serviced close by as well, I have been staying here since 2003 and love it!

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel. It is usually quiet. Very close to restaurants and Fred Meyer, Starbucks. One of our stays we were assigned a room on the second floor and I said that wouldn't work for us due to some health issues and they got us a room on the first floor WITH AN UPGRADE to a King size room, which was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were really helpful,room was quiet,clean and very comfortable,there were lots of little extras like milk and cookies for the guests,the hot tub was amazing. We were traveling with our dog and they made her welcome,often dog friendly rooms are not so nice but ours was very well designed and well stocked with any extras we might need. It felt like a Luxury hotel with budget prices. There was a hot eggs ,sausage and hash brown breakfast and a Mac and cheese and salad dinner included in the price.

I stay here often lately and i always look forward to my clean room. Though basic its always cean. The young breakfast host is the best wake up host ever. A smile and big good morning will greet you everytime. Love the small social,hour and hot cookies late at night!Chuck

I stayed here for 3 nights a week ago. I found it to be a great place to stay.request the top floor since it is old and the noise travels. The room was fine but dated as was the bathroom. The shower was ok but the head was about 9ft high and not much pressure.the big bonus to this place is the location and the breakfast and dinners it serves for free. The inn is walking distance from Freddies and a good variety of eateries The dinner it serves is simple and you can go back for seconds! Plus they give two tickets for 2 drinks....beer or wine. FYI There is no elevator so the top floor (only 2 floors) is a drag with baggage but is quieter.

Checked in the evening of November 1st with our pet. The rooms were very spacious, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and very well stocked for all guests partaking. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

we picked this property as a lay-over spot on a long drive on I-5. Essentially a random pick in a 'coin-toss' location. We are partial to Best Westerns and booked this spot. Truly glad we did ! Staff was great, food was great, room was great and price was perfect.

What a nice surprise... showed up, no reservation. Greeted by friendly front desk, Aaron. We didn't even need to go out for supper OR breakfast...hotel had a ‘dinner social' - lasagna, salad, garlic bread AND two free drink tickets!!! Breakfast was good - quiche, sausages, etc - excellent as well!!! Was soooooo easy to access from I-5. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Safe environment for two ‘older' ladies!!!

This hotel is excellent. Evening appetizer lady was superb. Talked to guests like friends. Front desk was very knowledgeable. Breakfast staff was very friendly. Food was hot and displayed very well. Front desk gave the welcome package without being asked. Rooms clean and modern.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Tumwater/Olympia. Initially, it wasn't easy to find because it sits back off the road with a once occupied service station. That empty station gives the hotel a less than positive first impression as it would any business behind anything out of business. Yes, it is an older, but renovated hotel so it has thinner walls, towels are not soft and fluffy and our toilet seat broke when we were there. However, those things were easier to overlook because of the nice and friendly staff. A couple of things stand out that made a difference during our stay. Of course, food makes a difference and they have a great assortment of breakfast items. My husband especially loved the waffles, with a choice of two different batters which are available daily. Kimbre, the weekday gal, connected with guests but at the same time, kept up with and everything stocked and clean. She could not do enough to be helpful and welcoming. Tyler, such an eager, friendly and kind and tall young man at the front desk is where he belongs. Even though he is newer to that role, his personality and ability to be hospitable make him perfect for that position. He helped my husband fax an important document that was time sensitive and during our stay, remained caring and kind. Though this Best Western location wasn"t the shiny, new hotel that excites travelers, I will take caring, hard working, friendly staff over anything. People, in my book, make the difference in life's experiences and that's what made our stay at the Best Western a good place to stay. Thank you to the people who love their jobs and customers, you made us feel special. .

This is simple motel. Nice people. Nice gifts for diamond level. Very quiet and hotel was full and we were on the ground floor. Interior corridors but no elevator. Breakfast was above average due to a fabulous fruit bread that I toasted - very nice. Cookies in the evening.

When in Olympia we alway stay at the Best Western Tumwater Inn. We end up staying here about once a year and it has always been a good experience. No reason to try anywhere else when we have always had a good experience. A good stop before we tackle the Seattle traffic.

Best experience for our 27 hundred mile road trip thru montana, washington victoria isl,oregon,and idaho. This trip finished my wife and my own bucket list to finish route 1 from san diego to the end of hwy 1 and 101 in washington.

One night stay in a quiet first floor room. Staff was pleasant and professional. I had a double-charge issue that they handled promptly. Room was comfortable and clean with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was much nicer than expected.

Clean and professional. The staff was nice, helpful, and pleasant. The lobby was fantastic. The breakfast was solid and well put together. The beds were extremely worn, and not comfortable. Other than that I thought it was a better stay than I was expecting.

Big comfy chair with a footstool won my vote. Bed was very comfortable and the room was large and clean. Nice breakfast assortment although my daughter was disappointed there were no biscuits and gravy.

We enjoyed our stay so much we wish it could have been longer. The room was so perfect for us and the area with the falls and park was such a pleasant surprise, as was the restaurant near the falls. The room was neat and clean and in a good location.

The service was poor from check-in. We had an Amazing experience at a different (Silverdale) location last month which made us stay at this (Tumwater) location- but it was like night & day. We were told that "they were fully booked when we booked our room" when I inquired about moving away from the very front where cars & people kept congregating in front of our window. We booked about a month in advance & I know they still had rooms available up until we checked in- so it was just poor practice to lie about it. We were traveling with my service dogs and when we were leaving for dinner, we were stopped & asked where we were going & when we would be back by the front desk people. In my years of travelling I have Never been quizzed by employees and it shouldn't have started on this stay. As well, when other people were checking in we saw the same front desk person hand out "doggie welcome bags" and they were greeted with a completely different reception. Why were we treated so poorly and honestly even given dirty looks by him? I would have given one star because the service & beds were terrible, it was super loud (you could hear every step, door opening or closing, water running, etc.), and the pet area was not maintained (nor did people clean up after their pets- it was Disgusting)- but they have cookies in the reception area & coffee in the evening hours. That is the extra star.

I went to Washington for a family reunion, and stayed at the Best Western Tumwater. The facility was very nice, and the staff was very helpful and provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend staying here to others.

Best western is one of my favorites, both for price and value. This one didn't disappoint, but wasn't anything fantastic either. The bed wasn't that comfortable (but how can any hotel cater to every sleeper). There wasn't an elevator and when you have bags for multiple days, that can be an issue. The morning breakfast was good, love the eggs and ham and everything else you usually see. Great coffee, but hey, this is Washington, there better be. OK location, but this is Olympia/Tumwater, location isn't a selling point anywhere (unless you're in the Olympia marina area). It was nice, probably 3.5 stars if I could do that. The stairs carpet was dirty and it made a bad first impression, but the rooms were very clean and what I would expect from a BW.

The room was super clean and the staff were nice. The bed left something to be desired. Wouldnt stay for personal travel. Breakfast was fresh and fairly good. Next time I would probably stay somewhere else just due to the quality of the bed.

Nothing fancy but beds were comfy, staff very nice and friendly, good complimentary hot/cold breakfast and loved the complimentary cookies at night! There was a great restaurant and a Dutch Bros right next door to hotel which was also very convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, we had the same staff at the front desk both days as well as in the breakfast area. The woman who helped us with breakfast each morning was lovely and made an effort to remember us. She knew that we were travelling home (9 hours) and sent us on our way with homemade muffins, yogurt and fruit.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location worked out perfect for the events we had in the area. Room was clean and well kept. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Shopping for needs was also very convenient.

I planned a last second trip and was able to book a room at this hotel . Once we checked into the room we found the room very nice and comfortable. It was a large room and was very clean. The staff was helpful and the breakfast wasn't to bad either....waffles and fruit is always a winner. The only let down was that our tv for some reason was stuck on a kids channel and nothing else.The staff tried to fix it but could not So that was a bit annoing but not the worst thing ever. We woud stay at this hotel again , no problem

This has been the best hotel my boyfriend and I have stayed in our entire road trip! The room was large and clean, including a sofa, chair, and desk. The beds were so comfortable, I don't want to have to get out of them so early! I would definitely recommend!!

This hotel was easy to find right off I-5. There was no additional fee for parking. I was welcomed by friendly staff who made me feel comfortable. The check in process was smooth and my room was clean. Once in my room, the sink faucet was loose, but it stayed together for my stay. My room included a microwave and small refrigerator/freezer. Everything else was pretty standard. There was free wireless which was helpful. That evening, the hotel provided appetizers and later milk and a cookie. It was nice after traveling all day to have this option in an unfamiliar town. The hotel provided a typical hot breakfast. The pastries were fresh which is not often found. The breakfast area was clean and staff professionally dressed to serve a meal. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable eating in either my room or the breakfast area. I had a wonderful stay. It was much better than going to an overpriced hotel where they charge you $15 to park, $5 to drink the water, charge by the minute for Wi-Fi, and have stuffy impersonal staff. I prefer the everyday comfort this hotel provided me during my stay. If that is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend.

This is a wonderful Best Western, the staff is outstanding, from the folks at the desk to the staff in the buffet, each one goes way beyond the all of duty to make sure each guest is taken are of. I highly recommend this Best Western to anyone visiting Tumwater-Olympia, Washington. Also a great jumping off place for Mount Rainier National Park and Mount Saint Helens Volcano National Monument.

Sometimes you come across a hotel that exceeds your expectations; and sometimes not at all. This Best Western is one of the nicest places we've stayed on our ABC Journeys through the state! We stayed in a King Room which was just huge and a highlight was the chaise, if I could've packed it into the car I would've! The rest of the furniture was nice as well. The bed was OK it could've been a little softer and longer, I'm 6'2" and my feet hung off the end of the bed, but that's the norm for me. The room was immaculately cleaned, no dust anywhere. The housekeepers are A-1! The bathroom shower was OK, the water pressure could be better, then the rain shower head would be better. Now for the best thing there...the Hot Tub/Spa!!! It was so wonderful, so far the best one that I've been in all our travels, so treat yourself to 45 minutes of total relaxation!!! Thanks, Best Western Tumwater, see again someday!!!

Worst hotel experience in years. Exterior shows lack of pride, no elevator for disabled guests. "Management" is either invisible or non-functioning. Could not stay and moved elsewhere as a result. Hotel billed card (without any stay) - and required weeks to seek refund. Not even a call from the manager after requests. Challenged property, and being a longtime local, regrettably it does not show signs of getting better.

Very friendly and helpful staff and awesome breakfast. They even proved a few drinks in the evening. No Pool, but they do have a hot tub and small workout room. I will be staying here each time I'm in the area.

Three of us stayed here for 4 nights, and found it comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the whirlpool, and the breakfast selection was as wonderful as the staff offering it up. Our room was missed one day and didn't get a cleaning, but other than a build up of towels (and shopping debris) it was hardly worth noticing - and the front desk was happy to supply us with fresh towels. All around a pleasant and well located place to stay, I wouldn't hesitate to return!

This hotel is older, but nice. It was clean. It is easy to find while driving and is close to the freeways, stores, coffee shops and places to eat. The hotel has no elevator. There are 2 floors. They offer laundry, have a fitness room, hot tub (no pool), vending machines near the lobby and a full breakfast. The breakfast was amazing. They offered make your own breakfast burritos with every type of topping you could want. They have a waffle maker, coffee, juice, milk, yogurt, pastries, cereal and oatmeal. They have tables so you can sit and enjoy your meal. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The only problem we encountered at check in was with our room. We had reserved a pet friendly room, but they ran out. Lucikly my parents had a pet friendly room so my dog could stay with them. The hotel room was a decent size. The toilet and shower are in a room and the sink/vanity is outside of there. Room has a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Staff was friendly and I would stay here again.

In a world where not much is perfect, this hotel actually is as close to perfect as I've been in. Great fitness room, comfy bed with quality linens, delicious hot breakfast with a great variety of food. Very nice fruit, too! Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. If I'm ever in Tumwater again, I will repeat my visit to this property. A big thumbs up!

A great Best Western Hotel on our way to the south border coming from Victoria, B.C. After some hours of ferry and car ride, this hotel was like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Pets are allowed and we received a welcome bag including a treat for Dragon, our dog, (Border Collie), Valeria and Hava at the front desk gave us the best welcome and great service at all times. Free cookies, fruit and coffee served in the lobby at 6pm, coffee. They had a customer appreciation evening in which we had complimentary dinner (simple but good) and 2 beers each adult at our party. There is a small hot tube and a gym. The room was spacious enough for us 4 (two adults, 2 kids and Dragon). Parking included and a standard breakfast also included in the fare. Great value for the Price paid.

The Best Western Tumwater/Olympia was our halfway stop to Port Angeles on June 17th. The Hotel is "medium" in size, but "Extra Large" in customer service. Front desk staff was wonderful upon check in and check out. Friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. Did not catch their names, but very friendly and personable young women. A+ for customer service. In the dining room, Kimbre was absolutely fantastic! Clearly loves what she does and is an incredible people person. Actually "whistled while she worked!" Friendly and welcoming "chat" with us to make us feel at home. When we finished breafast (best scrambled eggs ever!) Kimbre sent a couple of muffins with us for the road. Very thoughtful person who knows how to treat people. Housekeeping staff very pleasant, as well, and greeted us whenever we passed them in the hall. This is the perfect place to stay in the area. Not the biggest or fanciest, but very clean, comfortable, and with an A+ staff. I'll stay here any day over the fanciest hotel in the area because of how we were treated by staff. The hotel was nice, very clean, quiet. We had a pleasant stay. The staff was helpful,gave us suggestions on restaurants nearby. Had a nice pool, hot tub, and fitness room. Helped us find an ATM. Very nice complimentary hot breakfast.

Large size room with good bed and a selection of pillows. Bright, wide hallways. Fitness room, hot tub, conference facility. In addition to the usual breakfast, this hotel had an evening reception when we were there, including beer/wine and simple but filling food.

This hotel is nice and quite. the price was great and even offered a free nightime snack. They do not have elevator so heads up, but the pool and hot tub were not bad. is located down town easy on and off the I5 and local food near by.

Hotel was not readily visible from the road, seemingly hidden behind a gas station, but since the room was booked online the night before, check-in was pretty basic once I had arrived. Comfortable room, good bed, and decent bathroom made for a nice night. Wi-Fi was good, and breakfast was well prepared.

The hotel made a typo on their website, and the room that was meant to be $114/night was sold to me for $14/night. Understanding that this was likely to good to be true, I planned on paying the $114 when I got there. The clerk at the front desk did not explain the situation to me, and instead glossed over it and gave me a bag with 2 bottles of water and some turkey jerky for my trouble, not once apologizing or acknowledging the mistake. Customer service is about making these bad situations as tolerable as they can be. I understand they're not going to give me the room for $14. But they could have been upfront about it and apologized for the mistake. The room was fine, nothing to complain about on that end but nothing to write home about either. Other interactions with the staff were also fine.

Stayed for one night Memorial Day weekend. Booked with points, so free night. No elevator, but just one flight up to our room, so no big deal. Front desk did ask if we preferred a room on the first floor due to lack of elevator. No king rooms were available on the first floor, so we declined. Room was nothing fancy, but it was clean and had all amenities. Pretty quiet. I have a back issue, and the bed was not comfortable for me, but pretty much no hotel beds work for me. There was a lounge chair in the room that was extra long, so that worked for me. A lot of stores and restaurants nearby, many within walking distance. Very short distance to the freeway. Breakfast was good - a lot of selections. No complaints, nice stay.

This Best Western sits back from the road and is easy to miss . . .but is a wonderful place to stay! Friendly, efficient staff and nice clean rooms. I've stayed here on numerous occasions and will continue doing so.

We stayed one night as a stop over. The staff was very friendly, especially the staff in the breakfast area. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the only negative was the shower head, it had hardly any water pressure.

The people are amazing, the amenities TRULY exceptional...the internet was perfect for me to catch up on work and personal matters...the breakfast and the breakfast manager, Kimber, were the best I have experienced at ANY US chain...EVERYTHING was done to HELP me as quickly as possible.. the gentleman team who clean my room, Tyler and Jason (?) wish I could remember and be sure, but it was a few days already...I had managed to get ALL of my macs and iphones updated before I headed on my way again...the ladies at the front desk both time AND also the kind gentleman when I was checking out were also truly helpful.. there was not a person who was not helpful, happy, and smiling.. they ALL went out of their way to show clients a good and happy time...and it is a result of the local management, it is obvious the staff are highly experienced and love their jobs.. one young man who was on the maintenance crew said it is by FAR the best gig in town...that says a ton...I hope it is not fully booked when I want to come again...

Clean and quiet. The beds were a bit soft. I would stay there again. My only complaint is that we were there with family who had put flowers in our rooms with the help of the front desk. When we checked in we weren't given one of these rooms. They then moved the flowers to the room they had given us which wasn't near everyone else.

This hotel is great. I have stayed at this hotel once a month for over a year now. You get excellent service, clean rooms and great breakfast. They always have something special I don't find at other hotels. The atmosphere is great, you get high end customer service at a budget price. You can't beat that!

We stayed here for two nights as part of a fishing trip. From start to finish the hotel exceeded our expectations. Every person we encountered was pleasant. At check-in we were given a welcome pack with snacks and bottled water. There are delicious cookies in the lobby every day, along with coffee, tea, cocoa, etc. Our room was spotless, the bed comfy, and housekeeping did a great job. Wi-fi was strong and free. The breakfast is great, and the woman managing the breakfast area was cheery and diligent. There were several hot items along with cereal, fruit, toast, waffles, hard boiled eggs, etc. The hot items changed each day and were always plentiful. There is also a dinner offered on some nights. We had orange chicken, rice, and salad. Delicious and convenient. I was sad that we had to miss lasagna night. The staff takes pride in their hotel and it shows. The Mexican restaurant, Plaza Jalisco, across the parking lot as also delicious with hot chips and large portions. We will be back.

What a surprise in all round quality and value at Best Western Tumwater with such reasonable tariff. All staff encountered were excellent, so cheerful and friendly. The rooms well equipped spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast was simple but good quality with ample selection. Really liked the Guest Social concept available Mon - Wed with complimentary appetizer and drinks (non alcoholic). Our party of two couples were very pleased we chose this great hotel

Our stay fell very short of our expectations. We found the king size bed to be very uncomfortable. You could feel every spring in the mattress and movement of the other person. The heater/air conditioning had a terrible noise when it ran and kept us awake! The shower was horrible. I barely got wet! As we walked back and forth down the hall to our room , the floor squeaked with every set we took!

For what might be an older hotel, it was clean and everyone was very nice and helpful. Heads Up! No elevator, if you have a lot of luggage or work items, you might want to consider which floor you are on and how you might have to pack stuff in and out.

We stayed here while on a road trip on the Interstate 5 Highway. It was very accessible, the staff were courteous, room was comfortable and very clean, and the breakfast was above average. The price was very reasonable for the location.

Nice breakfast, wanted a room driving distance to mt rainier, sea-tac and Olympic nation park. This fits the bill. Beds are awesome and plush. Mid week evening snack/light meal was a nice surprise for us. It's not fancy here but checks all the boxes we wanted for a good price. Better than we expected from a regular best western.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was the best we've had anywhere. The fresh fruit was refilled during the entire time it was open. The cook made a special entrée each morning, which was delightful. Free parking, close to the freeway.

Enjoyed the way the staff went out of their way to give us an early check in and late check out so we could spend time with family. The chair and sofa in the king suite was great for visiting with relatives. The hot breakfast was very nice with a nice selection of other items.

We chose Tumwater because it is close to Port Angeles where we were catching the ferry the following day. We chose the hotel because it was pet friendly. The hotel was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was amazing with beautifully cut fresh fruit and lots of things for meat eaters like my husband (and good bagels and bread and cereal for those of us who eat veggie). There were several choices of restaurants near by (though it was Easter Sunday so not many were open). We drove to the golf course nearby and ate at the River's Edge which was very pleasant also. Staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful.

Friendly staff, fresh-feeling linens, clean room. Convenient location and quiet stay. Excellent, well attended hot breakfast with cut fresh fruit, good parking. Would definitely stay again. The hotel is set a little back from the street so not so easy to see at night from the I-5 exit. The website address shows Capitol Blvd SE but internet map services displayed it as SW which was confusing.

Stopped here for the night while in the area. We were pleased with everything! Comfy and clean rooms. Fast wi-fi. A nice surprise was the complimentary social hour from 5-7 pm with free drinks and appetizers of chicken strips, fries, and salad. Never experienced that before. The breakfast in the morning was also more extensive than the usual. Several hot options, as well as fruits, danishes, waffles, and all the rest you'd expect. We all tried out the fitness room and the equipment was very new. We peeked in the hot tub room and it looked inviting but we did not have the time to make use of it. Very pleased with the amount of extras. Even had fresh cookies and fruit water available in the lobby which our son kept going down for in the evening. We'll have to stay here again! The only minor annoyance was that I had looked up the price per night beforehand on their app but did not reserve and when we checked in they were not willing to give us that price. Even I see here on the trip advisor site it's listed as the lower rate. So....next time, I guess I'll be reserving on the website first for the good price.

The hotel resptionist was awsome(sorry i didnt get her name) She was very kind and courtious. My friend and I where in the area for a furnal, we didnt plan on staying but ended up doing so. She was able to get us a room early so we could freshen up before the furnal. Everyone was very polite,best experience I have had in a long time, and just live in Spokane. I will be back(probably in June).

This is a very nice place. Unfortunately, my wife is in a wheelchair. The handicap room is all way to the back of the hotel. And the carpet they have in the hallways and rooms are difficult to roll a wheelchair. They do have a exercise room. There is also a small, hot food breakfast buffet.

Good solid BW, located next to a great pizza place. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. No problems at all, comfortable bed, bedding and made in and out very easy for a road trip. Easy to find.

Love this hotel! Super clean, friendly staff and close to the highway. Great out of the way place and after a 12 hrdrive it was just what I needed. I was traveling on my way thru to Canada. Good breakfast in the morning too!

This is a great place to stay. The staff here is great. Valerie and Grace do a great job At the desk. They make customer s feel like their welcome. Kimber does a great job in the morning for breakfast.

With friends in the Lacey area and an upcoming lunch engagement with each.. we decided to stay in the Tumwater/Olympia area. Staff was terrific, had great ideas for restaurants in the area. They invited us to attend their reception that evening for lasagna, salad and wine. Room was very comfortable. Easy location to find from the freeway too.

Since my folks have moved to assisted living, we or other family members frequently need a place to stay when we visit them in Tumwater. We have stayed here about four times in the past year or so and we are never disappointed. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, conveniently located.

Comfortable hotel if you are visiting the Tumwater area. The staff were very helpful and accommodated my request for an early check in. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast options were good and the area was clean.

Staff was great, room clean.....but 1. Plumbing...if a nearby room fills their bathtub, you won't be able to hear your television. Water pressure in the shower is very, very low. 2. Pillows...a lot of them, but not comfortable 3. Heating...or rather getting the room to a good sleeping temperature was difficult 4. Trucks idling in the morning. Backed in to just outside room before 6 am Bed is comfortable, but the other issues will have me looking elsewhere

The room was very nice, clean and quiet with very comfortable bed. The desk was large and had extra outlets which is important to me. The in room coffee was excellent, much better than what I usually get. I also liked the guest social and the fresh fruit for breakfast. I did not have any cookies and milk but I'm sure they were good. This is one of my preferred BWs and I hope I have a reason to come back soon.

Recovering from angiogram at local hospital, staying at this hotel was unexpectedly perfect: room warm and welcoming; hospitality room offered dinner quality "appetizers", so no need to leave hotel; slept like I was dead, woke up refreshed and had a breakfast that was restaurant quality. Personnel upbeat and pleasantly helpful..husband and I would definitely come back!Thx! Thankful,

Great value but older hotel. No renovations done and if so not noticeable. HALF SIZE PILLOWS!! No pool but spa was small but private. great staff just not what you expect when staying at a Best Western. No direct entrance from main street "CAPITOL" due to hotel being located behind other business like a Shell that hasn't been used in over 2 years I believe! (written 01/02/2018)

Hotel I usually stay in was booked so I booked here at last minute. Room adequate and quiet. Rate included breakfast buffet which was nothing special but served the purpose. Staff friendly. Plenty of on site parking and convenient to I-5 freeway. A few restaurants in area most across the freeway along with Fred Meyer and Costco.

Love staying here. Staff always have a smile and friendly greeting. Fresh coffee and hot water for tea or cocoa always in the lobby, and 2-3 kinds of cookies after 6. Well maintained and quiet for being so close to highway.

Friendly staff, very helpful, they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They serve a hot breakfast every morning in the breakfast room and Mon-thurs a happy hour which includes always a salad bar, 2 drinks each, and a hot entrée, all included in the price of the room. They also serve cookies and milk after dinner in the main lounge which also always has coffee and tea available. I would recommend this hotel, what a great stay we had.

Value for money is excellent. People very friendly and helpful .The night we were there they had a guest social which was a very nice touch and popular with what seemed to be regular guests. Hot breakfast in a non plus property was very good

Excellent customer service from all employees. Hotel provided free reception for all guests that included two glasses of wine, pulled pork, buns, and a salad. A first for me! Room large, clean and overlooked forest. We stayed in 219. Large indoor pool. Great location as opposite University of Oregon. Have dinner at Beppe & Gianni within easy walking distance. Fabulous.

I stay at the Best Western Tumwater quite often and always enjoy the friendly family like atmosphere. Service is prompt and rooms are always clean. Never disappointed with my stay. The weekday evening social hour is must but several good restaurants are within easy walking as well. The Capitol and downtown Olympia are only 5 min away and have additional good restaurants.

We stay at Best Westerns more than a dozen times a year and this one is one of the best - if not the best. Friendly and helpful staff, great hot breakfast, fast internet, free news papers and, I had to mention the cookies at 6pm. Normally the coffee in the rooms is not so great but, the Seattle coffee offered on this trip was an exception. During week-days there is something special for the guests - you will have to stay there to find out.

I've stayed at this BW numerous times. It's always clean, quiet and a good deal on the price. Good location. Don't need to drive anywhere to eat or pick up a few things at the store. Easy on-off freeway as well.

Recently stayed at this Best Western and had a great experience. The Staff were truly exceptional with friendly service, smiles, and lots of greetings. The room was clean, and priced right for what we needed. There is ample parking and the hot breakfast started at 6 am and was great. Not just the usual cold cereal, but the makings for a breakfast burrito, scrambled eggs, ham, bagels, toast, fresh waffles, lots of fruit, and juice and coffee. The breakfast actually made the whole stay that much more of a great value and got us going early without needed to make an extra stop. And if you're stay is mid-week, there is a guest social. Cookies and milk are available each evening at 6 pm, and are quite tasty! If you're looking for a peaceful nights rest, super friendly staff, and hot breakfast, this Best Western is a great choice.

Don't really stay at Best Western so was very pleasantly surprised at a clean facility, clean room, polite housekeepers and great breakfast. I highly recommend it . You can tell the manager takes pride in her job.

Came up from Oregon to spend time with my mother-in-law and other family members. We all came to celebrate the 96th birthday of my mother-in-law. It was a great weekend visiting with everyone. I always stay the best western in Tumwater. They are very welcoming.

We made a trip to the area to visit some family. I had never stayed in this hotel before. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was a very nice breakfast. And the price was very reasonable. It's a great location, close to food and shopping.

The bed in this hotel was extremely comfortable. The room was clean and I felt I could walk on the rug barefoot. That doesn't happen very often. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. All that for a good price too. Also, I like the noon checkout.

Location The hotel is located about half a mile from I-5 in Tumwater. Seattle airport is one hour or 55 miles away. Portland, OR is about 110 miles or 1hr 45 min drive. Its a great place to break up a drive in the middle of Washington for a night etc. Within the area are various stores like Fred Meyer, Walmart and lots with fast food places everywhere, KFC is walking distance. Great mexican restaurant nearby. Room The spacious room had a high size soft king size bed. The bed is comfy with mattress topper but didn't much like the pillows. There are bed side tables with lamps but power sockets are behind the cabinets. However an alarm clock does have a USB socket behind it. The bed faces a large cabinet that has a large TV with full cable, microwave and large refrigerator. There is a working desk with lamp are here are plenty of sockets. There is also a sofa and coffee table, great for eating take-aways and watching TV. The room also includes a large sink that also has hot drinks machines on top. This is the main sink form the bathroom. Since the bathroom is in a small room containing only the toilet and a bath and shower combo. They offer small amenity bottles of in house brand. An iron and ironing board is also on offer with some clothes hangers. Heating / AC is a large unit but wasn't that noisy. Decor is kind of dull but traditional. Facilities The hotel offers decent speed WIFI. Also two computer are in the lobby. There is breakfast on offer and quite nice that includes some scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, plenty of breads and bagels, cereals, yogurts and fruits. Plus a pancake machine, juice dispensers and coffee machine. Its as nice and the room plays the news. They also offer cookies and coffee in reception. For leisure there is a small gym and adjoining room with hot tub. Plenty of free parking is offered. Staff Staff were nice and friendly with quick check-in/out. Breakfast lady was overly enthusiastic and happy. It was fine for one night, comfortable and very clean. Not quite Hampton Suites but a decent product that was good value for money.

We have stayed at this motel many times. we not longer look at any other place but just book into the Best Western Tumwater. They have always treated us very well, the breakfast is very good, and we are always rested for the next day. Just a good place to stay.

We stayed only one night but it was a comfortable bed, nice clean room and the breakfast was okay. The location for us was great since we were headed up to Port Angeles the next day. The hotel is located right off I5 but you do not hear any noise.

Stayed for four nights. From the staff to the complementary breakfast, evening snacks, cookies, and rooms this hotel is amazing! Feels like home away from home! Highly recommend! We will stay here again!

An excellent hotel value. Although my general impression of any staff I encountered was that they were all very young they did not disappoint in any way, from a young maid who showed us how to handle a cranky electronic lock to the cooks in the breakfast room (always happy and helpful) and a front desk staff that always had a smile and was ready to help. The room was clean and very well equipped. The internet was great. Breakfast was bountiful, hot and varied a bit everyday, including breakfast tacos one day. The cookies and milk in the evening was a delicious surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Excellent! Desk, breakfast and cleaning staff - all conscientious making our stay very comfortable. Best bed ever. This was a one night stop over but was memorable for its overall comfort, cleanliness and caring staff.

We were on our way out to find dinner when we became aware of the evening baked potato and chili bar. Even though we were too late and it had closed, the young lady cheerfully opened it for us and went out of her way to make sure we got all the time we wanted. I am sure it made more work for her and dragged her shift out, but all she seemed concerned about was taking care of us.

Great value for high quality, very comfortable mattress and sheets. Nice tub and shower. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of hot and cold options plue many beverage choices. Pet friendly location.

This hotel offers THE BEST wheelchair-compatible bathrooms we've ever experienced. And those with or without special needs will encounter a warm welcome, cheerful/helpful staff, clean & comfortable rooms, tasty food at breakfast and evening receptions, and easy check-out. We plan to stay here in the future, whenever we find ourselves in the vicinity.

This hotel offers a unique amenity I have never encountered at any other hotel. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday they have a social hour from 5 to 6 pm at which they offer complimentary beer and wine ( 2 per person) plus macaroni and cheese plus a mini salad bar. This was a great treat and a wonderful opportunity to meet other travelers. The hotel is two stories without an elevator. We stayed in room 234 (double queen beds) and found it very clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and outgoing. I think we have found our "go to" hotel for visits to the Olympia - Tumwater - Lacey area. This hotel does not have a swimming pool but it does have a hot tub and fitness room. There is a brew house restaurant and a Mexican restaurant within 200 feet (70m) of the hotel. It is five minutes or less drive from a major grocery/department store. The hotel is convenient to the I-5 freeway but the traffic noise is minimal.

Great service. The hotel staff are friendly and courteous. The room were bigger than I expected, I did not feel cramped. Having a microwave and refrigerator in my room made it so convenient, especially when staying for 3 nights. The breakfasts were delicious and I really enjoyed the evening receptions on Mon thru Wed. Made my stay way more enjoyable. I didn't have to go anywhere was I was done with my day at the conference. Thank you so much.

Clean, Comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent I would definitely stay here again Only draw back for me was the proximity to restaurants. Travelling on a Motorcycle I prefer to walk to a meal in the evening. There were only Mexican, Pizza and fast food places close by

This is a wonderful hotel -- best staff ever!! Cookies each evening so appreciated. Hot breakfast was above and beyond -- you will love the friendly atmosphere, nice lobby and rooms -- cleaning staff very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is wonderful to stay in and you will come back for sure. Easy ride to coast -- beautiful country around the area and then come back and sit in their hot tub. We also had quiet rooms -- that is so important.

Have stayed here many times and have been treated very well each time. The room is always super clean and tidy. .Brerakfast buffet is good. We travel with a dog and the pet room is always fresh smelling. A nice walking for the dog. Sometimes we get a little treat bad but not this time.

I would rate this hotel a "15" out of "10"! Everything was very clean from the lobby desk, sitting area, business area, exercise room, hot tub, breakfast area, and the room. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant to interact with and were very focused on the customer. The warm cookies in the lobby at night were a wonderful treat! The room was very quiet with no extra noise evident from outside or inside.

Very clean, good location, excellent staff. We enjoyed our visit, although just one night. Even though there was no pool, the hot tub was good. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants.

Classic hotel stay. Clean, affordable, but some things just don't work right. The refrigerator froze my meals no matter what temperature setting it was at. Hand sanitizer empty in the workout room. Asked for an express checkout the night before and it was like I was speaking Latin.

My boyfriend and I stay here quite frequently. We Always love it. everyone is so nice and the rooms are amazing. The decor is nice the rooms are always clean and always quiet. And the Jacuzzi is beyond relaxing. We look forward to our next stay

This building was not the newest construction in town but it was well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable and the location was great for us. The staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.

I chose this hotel because it was a halfway spot in our travels. I'm a Best Western member and the price was right. Tumwater is just a town off the freeway near Olympia. Not exactly a tourist destination, so I didn't expect much. We get inside and warmly greeted. Then we are told that there a dinner social. Dinner? Yes. They gave us a free meal, one of thI chose this hotel because it was a halfway spot in our travels. I'm a Best Western member and the price was right. Tumwater is just a town off the freeway near Olympia. Not exactly a tourist destination, so I didn't expect much. We get inside and are warmly greeted. Then we are told that there a dinner social. Dinner? Yes. They gave us a free buffet meal, one of their own choosing. Orange chicken, rice and salad. Plus two free drinks for each of us. Beer, wine soda. We ate before we went up to our room due to the time window of this event. The rooms were a little dated but clean and they I shut the door. It closed quietly. No slamming. You go to a motel to get a restful peaceful sleep and then the people next you like to get up a 5:30AM and let the door slam and now you're awake. Then they back from breakfast and let the door slam. This is my biggest pet peeve with hotels. If one hotel can do it, why can't others? Very happily satisfied with this hotel

This is our second stay here and we were not disappointed. The king room was large, and nicely furnished with a sofa, easy chair, nice television and computer desk. Wish there had been bedside tables on both sides of the king bed. The breakfast was very nice with cut up tropical fruits, apples, oranges and bananas, lots of choice in the baked goods, plus hot items including scrambled eggs, 'taters', and ham. I would prefer homemade hash browns to frozen taters but was happy to have potatoes in any form (vegetarian). Fairly good coffee and a nice breakfast room. No complaints.

Only stay here if you want cheerful service; quiet, clean, comfortable rooms, nice variety at breakfast; and then fresh baked cookies in the evening. Oh, there's also a guest social early in the week. Great experience once again.

Wow, we recently stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise was to leave out of Seattle. First off the rates were the best in the area ($99 a night) and we wanted to see the capital in Olympia. We arrived on a Sunday night to be greeted by Grace, the front desk clerk. She was very friendly and helpful and since we were hungry for Mexican food, Grace recommended Ramirez Family Restaurant across the street from the hotel. Excellent choice! The room was perfect and very quiet, so we got a great night of sleep. The breakfast the next morning prepared by Kimber was fantastic!! We had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes as the feature foods in the hot plates. Then you had everything and I mean everything else ( think breakfast items). Kimber followed it up the next morning with scrambled eggs, chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy and everything else. These were better breakfasts than you get at some restaurants. On Monday evening I was going to go across the parking lot to have a beer at the brewery and asked Grace if they were any good. Grace responded that the hotel serves beer, wine, and a hot meal on Monday thru Wednesday and its complimentary. I couldn't believe it. Not only did we get free drinks but Rose (manager) and Laurie put out a spread of orange chicken, rice, and something else (too many beers to remember). This has got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Oh by the way, they also have a workout room and hot tub accessible by your room card. If you are ever in the Olympia/ Tumwater area, this is the place to stay. I will be back!!!

The hotel was good value and we had a good room. We did not hear any road noise so we had a good night's sleep. It had what we needed and the breakfast facilities were plentiful. Close to the highway so fairly easy to find after a long drive.

Just what you'd expect from a Best Western hotel, it's better than the average chain, prices can be a tad higher, service is very good. Rooms are quiet except for the water systems, which can make huge noises. Three stars because there is just not a point on which they excel.

A great place to stay, directly off Route 5 at exit 102. Quality room, breakfast and value. Breakfast included fresh fruit, strawberries and blueberries. Highly recommend staying here. Hotel staff was very accomadating

The staff at this hotel was friendly and accommodating. We checked in around 7:30 and we were offered cookies, hot chocolate and tea. It was a nice welcoming after a long day of travel! The room was spacious and clean. In the morning we enjoyed their complimentary breakfast and we were again impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. The best hotel choice in this area!

Nice spacious room. Good location, quiet and close to restaurant options. Bed comfy. Water pressure very, very low and the shower head was very high. We could not even reach it. Wifi worked perfectly with no reboots needed.

It was a vacation trip with a casual return home. We made last minute reservations with ease and the room was clean and ready when we arrived. The hotel is close to restaurants which made walking to dinner easy. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be staying there again.

Check in went smoothly and staff was wonderful. Male desk clerk very friendly and courteous. Room was well decorated and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful by the addition of fresh fruit: blackberries, blueberries, and more. Biggest gripe: could not get the remote to operate the tv. Desk clerk brought us newer, fancier one which worked well for one night. The next day it, too, would not work.

The after dinner cookies were great, and the fruit infused water was a nice touch when you entered the building. The hotel staff were friendly on our arrival and helpful in picking out a place for dinner.

The staff at Tumwater were exceptional. Friendly, helpful, showed interest in our stay without being intrusive. This is a well managed team of folks from breakfast staff, housekeeping, front desk and management. I would definitely stay again even though the facility is older than other options and there is no pool, the staff made up for these shortcomings.

The rooms were spotless and the staff was very friendly. The location was great access to freeways. Other stores were close. the bathroom was spotless as well as the sleeping area. There was coffee and tea in the room along with shampoo, lotion, and things that go along with the coffee. We did a evening check in and the staff member was very professional and announced that fresh cookies would be out around 6pm. What a treat to have warm cookies and fresh coffee in my room.

All is extremely well except the soundproofing of the room. The service, the cleanness and the location is perfect. The beds, the breakfast, all is excellent. But the noise is not acceptable. One should not hear his neighbor snoring in the next room.

I needed to go to Olympia the next day and booked five nights at the Best Western. It was a difficult time for our family. The staff was so extraordinarily kind and helpful, especially Aracely at the front desk. The housekeeping staff left extra towels on request. I asked them to clean the room while we ate breakfast, and it was spotless by the time we returned. The breakfast was outstanding. Wi fi was fast, even for streaming. Location was perfect. Brewery City Pizza is right next door and one night they delivered right to our room (two children). I would pass on the Mexican restaurant next to the hotel, though. For those so inclined, Costco and Fred Meyer are near the hotel. My only complaint is that the curtains do not close completely. This is a problem if your room is on the first floor, as ours was. Get a room on the upper floors.

We were in town for our son's wedding and stayed here for four nights. Many other family members and wedding party members also stayed here. The customer service was exceptional! EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was especially helpful when we needed to find a space for all of the family to get together after the wedding. When we asked for extra room supplies, the cleaning staff were very accomodating. The room worked out great...it had many mirrors, which made getting ready for a wedding much easier. It also had two sinks, instead of one which was very convenient. The breakfast was surprisingly good with hot foods (eggs, meat, potatoes) and the usual cold items. A very good selection. One morning, there was even a type of Chicken Tortilla casserole that was VERY good! Great hotel, located within walking distance to a Starbucks and a short drive to a Walmart, Fred Meyer, and Costco. It does NOT have an elevator, so request a room on the first floor if that would be a problem. One of our beds wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't bad. Would totally stay again - Thank You!

La Quinta Inn in Tumwater canceled my reservation without providing any notice of the cancellation. Best Western in Tumwater was able to book us a room for our entire stay and ended up being more accommodating. I have stayed at the La Quinta Inn previously and after staying at the Best Western, I will never stay anywhere else but the Best Western. Grace at the front desk was able to book a room for our entire stay relieving the stress of where we're going to sleep as I was traveling with two small children and my mother. Their staff is amazing and you can tell they love their jobs. Sonja and Kimber in the kitchen accommodated my mother's gluten allergy by making her fresh from batter waffles and a gluten free cinnamon roll. The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel and rooms were very clean. I would recommend the Best Western to anyone staying in the Olympia/Tumwater area.

Received poor service from several employees. Pillows smelled and vending machines were out of order. Housekeeping was banging on door mid morning well before check out time. Bathroom was very small and low water pressure

Had to pass through Tumwater on a business trip so stayed at the Best Western on Capital Blvd in Tumwater. Very comfortable, friendly staff, clean facility. Decent hot breakfast available too. Although there is some construction going on in front of the hotel, not AT the hotel, it was still very quiet. It didn't really upset our stay at all. There is a Starbucks conveniently located almost next door=)

My stay at the Best Western Tumwater-Olympia Inn located in Tumwater, WA was fantastic. The staff was so nice and extremly helpful. The room was very nice and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The only negative is there is no elevator at this hotel. There are plenty of rooms on the 1st floor for the handicapped guests. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed there for one day on the way from Vancouver to Portland. The hot breakfast was really good with fresh fruit, ham, egg etc. However, the room facility need to be improved a little bit. Could not find elevator. so you have to pull luggage to second floor if room is on 2nd floor.

I stayed here for a single night. I got a room with 2 Queen Beds. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the shower had lots of hot water. There was a second vanity with a mirror and sink outside the bathroom which was really nice. The TV was good size and on a swivel which made it easy to watch TV from my bed. The staff (both at check-in and check-out) were very friendly and pleasant to talk with. They recommended a good place for dinner and we even got a 10% discount for showing our room key. Now to the best part. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and my experience with the breakfast range from awful to poor. Not here. They serve breakfast starting at 6 AM. I got there just as they were opening the door and the food was really good. What a shock! They had scrambled eggs (real chicken eggs, not powdered) and they were wonderful - hot, fluffy and tasted great. They also had potatoes (cubed) and some of the best breakfast sausage I've ever had at a hotel breakfast. The food was plentiful, hot and delicious. They also had a waffle station where you could make your own waffles. I didn't try that because I was full from the eggs and sausage. I'll stay here the next time I'm in the Olympia area. It was a great experience.

Made reservations through expedia.com. We checked in late around 8 pm on the first night, which was easy and quick. The hotel is located near the freeway, but far enough away that you don't hear any traffic. Our room was exactly as the one we reserved, nothing too fancy, but clean and comfortable. Kids slept on the couch pull-out bed and my wife and I stayed on the queen bed. Downside to our room: it was located at the top of the stairs across from the vending and ice machines, and while the bed was soft it was a little saggy in the middle. My wife felt like she rolled toward the center of the bed. Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of options: waffles with various fruit toppings, whip cream and syrup, muffins, doughnuts, sausage, eggs, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, etc. After the first night we recommended the hotel to my brother and his new wife (the reason for the trip in the first place) because of the breakfast and he stayed at the hotel on our second night. He told me that he too enjoyed the breakfast. Overall we were happy to stay in this hotel, would obviously recommend to other and if needed we will stay there again.

Located off the freeway, just south of the state capitol of Olympia is a the small town of Tumwater. This hotel is tucked away off the main road into town. Although it can have lots of guests, it is still a very quiet location. It has a hot tub and pool. The pool is great for families. The hot tub area are no chairs or towels. It's next to the gym and you enter through they gym to get there. There is a handicap lift for the hot tub. Breakfast is great and they served chicken fried steak while we were there. You will have to ask for the master remote from the front desk in order to have a TV guide on the TV. This is a great place to stay for one night or a quick stay if travelling through. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is well maintained. It's close to all the local town amenities and the local WalMart is on the opposite side of the freeway. Also, it's close to the state capitol if you are into history or enjoy architecture. They do provide tours and the state capitol has well kept grounds.

Great value and good location for meeting purposes. Have a training in Lacy every year and I always stay at this Best Western because it is the best value of the price. Would recommend this for a quick business trip in the Olympia area.

This hotel is a bit out of the way, but is a good place to stay. We were hauling a trailer and there was parking suitable to remain connected. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Did not see an elevator so those with accessibility issues may want to ask for a ground floor room.

This BW was top quality. Super clean, super comfortable, and super friendly. My husband is 83 and I am 78, and the staff were more than kind and helpful to us. We had a wonderful breakfast in an absolutely immaculate kitchen every morning of our stay and were given a breakfast bag to take with us on the last morning as we had to leave at 2:30 AM. I would far rather stay here than any 5 star hotel. THE PRICE IS RIGHT AND THE QUALITY IS INCOMPARABLE. An No I am not paid for this.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. For just over 100$ a night, can't be beat really. The bed left something to be desired though. Groaned and creaked with every turn. The girl at the front desk was extremely sweet. Friendly efficient and fun! A good area close to shopping and fast food restaurants. A bit of a drive if you want something better to eat.

Fast and Courteous Check in and reasonable priced for 4 of us for: $116.23 including Taxes and Discounts. Still not quite the Tourist Season yet because of Snow still. Clean Room, and everything was provided that was needed. Safe Location which is very important.

The bed had bad and squeaky springs and seriously moved as you got in and out. We could even hear the bed above us everytime they got in and out of it during the night. It was so disturbing I got very little sleep

We stayed here 5 years ago and had a great time. That's why we came back this time. It looked like they had remodeled since the last time. Very happy with the stay! Nice breakfast, great people. The front desk staff helped me with some issues with my reservation, my fault, not theirs!!

Only stayed 1 night, but everything was clean and in working order. My request for a lower floor close to an exit was easily accommodated. Staff welcomed my dog with open arms (and a goodie bag!) and extras I requested were provided immediately. Not a lot of space for walking, but it was sufficient for one night. Breakfast was satisfactory. Parking lot was well lit and quiet at night even though it was on a main road.

One of the better Best Westerns we have stayed in. It is conveniently located just off the freeway near most things in the Olympia area. The lobby and breakfast area are very pleasant and the room was very nicely done. Good standard breakfast included. Note that there is no elevator if you are on the second floor. We clearly would stay here on another trip to this area. Good hotel for the price especially if you are AAA or ARP.

The best breakfast I have had at a Best Western Hotel. Great staff and nice rooms. Comfortable lobby for our group to hang out. Delicious cookies. A bit difficult to find the hotel as it is behind a gas station - it needs better signage.

I actually like parking outside the door of the room. This hotel is old but a pretty nice place to stay for the amount charged. The interior courtyard and pool was very pretty and I enjoyed the little patio outside the door. The breakfast was weak with the round rubber eggs and limited options. There are only 4 tables in the breakfast area and when the facility is filled up there was no place to sit.

Business or pleasure! Easy in and out. Near restaurants and tourist sites without having to get into traffic! If you are on business it is close by without having to get into the city. GREAT beds and amenities

Great location just off I-5 but far enough so there is no road noise or excessive traffic. Good looking property and room was spacious and comfortable. Had a social hour with beverages and light supper. Breakfast next morning was appealing with good choices. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

If you peruse my ratings of dozens and dozens of hotels, you will see that I hand out primarily 4 and 5 star reviews. A 1 star situation is reserved for only the most audacious of situations. SO here's the deal: Several days before my stay, I looked around for hotels in the Olympia-Tumwater area. I went to the Best Western site and located this property. I have a well-behaved dog (and a non-shedding one), so I always check in advance about pet policies. The website for this property says the following: "Pets accepted. 20.00 USD per day. Up to two dogs per room with an 80 lb. weight limit per animal, maximum of 100 USD weekly. Other pet types such as cats, birds, or other animals are allowed at the discretion of the property and require prior approval from the property." Just to avoid any surprises, I actually called the property (to be clear, the property, not the national number) to verify that pets were OK. The person with whom I spoke said pets were fine, and reiterated the $20 fee for pets. I said, "OK, great, so I'll go ahead and go online to make a reservation for this Saturday night". The person with whom I spoke said, "OK, great". I said, "So I'll see you Saturday". And hung up. So on May 24 I went online to the Best Western website and I made the reservation on for arrival May 27, and in the place where there is a text box for special request, I even wrote, exact words: "I have a well-behaved dog. I understand there is a $20 charge. First floor room would be nice. " So then I arrive and I am told that I did not book a "pet room". I was told that if there were pet rooms available, they would have been indicated on the Best Western website. I told the person at the desk that I had called a few days back bla bla bla, but she was unmoved. "But you did not book a pet room". Well, how am I to know that apparently a pet room is an actual booking category, apparently along the same lines as "2 queen beds" or "1 King bed". If I call a hotel and ask if it is allowed to use an electric fry pan in the room, and they say it is OK, I don't assume that I need to find a room booking category that actually says "fry pan room". The point being, if "pet room" is an actual room category, then non-pet rooms should indicate that fact. Or the pet room should be displayed with an indicator of "sold out". The lady on duty called her manager to ask about what to do, but they held firm. Absolutely no exceptions. Would not allow me in a "non pet room". I asked if she could just "look the other way", but she said there were videos that the staff reviewed every morning. To be clear, we're talking about a non-shedding dog, whose "dog bed" I brought with me, for a check in at about 9 PM and a checkout at what would be 6:30 AM. It's not like there would be any effect whatsoever of the dog staying there. The only consolation is that the lady on duty knew that the La Quinta up the road was pet-friendly, so she called the La Quinta and amazingly, for the Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend, they had a room available. So I went to La Quinta, and they took very good care of me. So because of that, consider this a 1.25 star review, not a 1-star review, but it rounds to 1 star. And I took a cookie from the lobby, so at least there was that. Had the La Quinta not had rooms available, then I suppose I would have been in some frantic search for a last-minute room, and might have had to make do with "car camping" at a rest area. Best Western sorely disappointed me on this occasion. This coming on the heels of a highly complimentary 5-star review I recently left on TripAdvisor for the Best Western in Aberdeen, WA (a location that was much more dog friendly). Imagine the audacity to turn away a guest who had made a reservation, several days in advance. in which they indicated they had a pet, after having been told by a hotel employee over the phone that pets were allowed. Best Western has lost a customer, and La Quinta has gained one. Best Western Tumwater: I hope you are proud of yourself for your rigid adherence to your policy.

I've stayed at this motel several times and every time, I'm impressed with the efficient, helpful, kind staff. The rooms are nice with all the amenities I need, and there is good parking available. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

This is a very nice place to stay, comfortable rooms, friendly staff vey good breakfast. The location is in a decent location so that if you want to take day trips around the area you are close to just about anything whether it is shopping or a quick trip to the beach, it's all with in reach!!! You will enjoy this place!

We were on our way home and needed a place to stay after a long drive. We wish we had arrived sooner! The staff were welcoming. Very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and bright. We arrived in the evening so we were unable to use the fitness room but it seemed large with more equipment than usual. The free breakfast was better than the usual fare offered at hotels. A great selection of hot items, fresh fruit etc was appreciated and there seemed to be plenty. I wish we had more time to explore the town. It looked like a nice place to explore on foot with many small stores and coffee stops along the way. Would definitely stay again!

The ladies at the desk were exceptionally polite and helpful! Our room was clean and our kiddos were spoiled with fresh cookies! This place won't disappoint you! They have kitchenettes and great beds. The price was under 100 a night. We will definitely be back!

The continental breakfast was really good on the day we ate there but the mattress was very comfortable. I would have to say that the service was good! No elevator to the second floor, so take minimal things to room. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean. Room is very clean and the hotel staff will work with you on all your needs. Breakfast is great.It is close to the freeway and downtown Olympia. There is lots of parking at this hotel. It is close to Costco and Fred Meyers and other stores. There are plenty of places to eat.

The Inn is directly off an Olympia exit from I-5, and is approximately a 7-10 minute drive to the capitol building. All in all, the Inn was a perfectly nice place for a night's stay, either for business or pleasure travel. Check in was quick, and the desk staff were friendly and knowledgable about local restaurants and things to do in the area. The room was well-appointed and clean. The tub and toilet were in a very small room, difficult to maneuver inside and with no shelves to place toiletries. The sink was in the main room, with counter space for personal items. The soap bars were tiny squares, expect to drop them frequently in the shower. My main complaint is that the walls and floors were paper thin. We clearly heard a telephone conversation from the room next door, and every step made by the people above us was loudly and clearly heard. Fortunately, our neighbors quieted down by the evening, and our sleep was not disturbed. There is a complementary breakfast buffet, with hot eggs and fixings to make a breakfast burrito, make-it-yourself waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, and fairly good coffee. The breakfast room itself is on the small side, and fills quickly, so get there early to make sure you get a seat.

We were very happy with this hotel. It was easy to find, close to a mall, close to fuel, close to many restaurants. The area was not out of the way, but I was surprised by how quiet it felt. The pool was out of service, by the hot tub was working. The breakfast had lots of options, eggs, sausages, breakfast burritos, cut fruit as well as whole apples, a couple of cereals, bagels, breads, coffee that tasted great, boiled eggs, et cetera.

Fast friendly service...clean modern rooms...comfortable bed...close to freeway...great value...Front desk did an exceptional job quickly processing the paperwork...breakfast is a nice touch...offering was much more substantial than anticipated

This was a reasonably priced hotel with a great and caring staff. The Monday to Wednesday reception was a nice add. An older facility that has been kept up and what it lacks in modern is made up by a enthusiastic staff (bottom to top) that made the stay a joy. Felt like family.

Couldn't say enough good things about this place! We were tired from traveling and had to stop for the night. We were welcomed in a warm and pleasant manner. Staff couldn't of been nicer out a time when we needed it. Our travel was to see a family member who was terminally ill. Obviously the staff had no way of knowing but treated it as if they did. I always find this kind of experience when I stay at a best Western. I can't for the life of me understand people who simply have to say something negative !

excellent, helpful staff - clean, well-organized room - breakfast was a wondrous treat - food was hot, not stale or packaged, plenty of it and being an early riser got to experience breakfast and lunch at your hotel - thank you very much to two sweet., helpful ladies: nekisha and the sunday morning desk assistant - pardon my not being able to remember her name at this point in time - than you, again -

Front desk was very very helpful by printing maps for us to the local mall and casino. When we returned late in evening she even made us awesome cookies. You don't get that type of customer service any more. It was a nice surprise.

Was there to visit family. The staff was very friendly and very polite. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. There was a lot to chose from for breakfast. The location was easy to get.

Pretty nice place. Fresh baked cookies and 2 free drinks per room, so we were already pleased at check in. Comfortable beds and rooms with coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Lots of places nearby for food.

Very nice, quiet hotel not too far off I5. Very efficient and helpful front desk girl who checked us both in and out. Best full breakfast we've ever had at a Best Western. Excellent quality of food items, especially the fresh fruit. Eggs and sausages were excellent too. Loved the freshly baked cookies available at 6:00 PM. Good value at this Best Western.

Hotel is in nice shape and is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Also for us a bonus was that they accept pets. Often when we travel with our dog, we get a really crummy dog room that has a lot of wear. This time, we got a very nice room that was in good condition. Plus there is a dog area outside the hotel where they can do their business.

Nice one night stay for business. Check-in was quick and the staff very friendly. Was told Lasagna was being served at 6 pm! Very unexpected! Room was clean and nicely decorated. Large HDTV with cable. Was able to connect tablet to HDMI port and stream Netflix. Wi-Fi was 20 down, 10 up. Very quiet building with the exception of the rattling fan in the bathroom. Pillows are small squares and kind of uncomfortable. Recommend they provide standard sized pillows. Fridge and microwave was appreciated. I didn't have the breakfast but will definitely return again and partake! I found the best price available was directly through the Best Western website.

Very pleased with my stay. In particular, the staff were all professional and friendly. Room was clean and quiet, amenities worked. In-room WiFi seemed to cut in and out, but my phone coverage picked up the slack. I will gladly return to this hotel when in the area.

We used this hotel when in town for a wedding. It was a very busy time for us and we really appreciated the great service, calm atmosphere, and quiet surroundings. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed and breakfast were ok. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional.

This hotel was perfect for everything I needed for my business trip. Everyone was friendly, the breakfast was hot, and the blueberry muffins were delicious. We used the washer and dryer, the computer/printer upfront, and enjoyed the "milk and cookies" at 6pm. WiFi worked great. My only complaint would be that the shower had barely any water pressure, and I stubbed my toe on the stopper for the bathroom door, as the location is right in front of the tub. Other than that, it was an lovely stay.;

The Best Western at Tumwater was great. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was superb which included a good variety of fruit and hot dishes. All we needed was here.

As soon as I walked in I smelled something baking... cookies at 6pm...yummmm. Wednesday 2 drinks plus food for free - don't forget to tip. Towels aren't the best as well as the soaps. But they have all the amenities!! Great staff...

This Best Western is the nicest one we have stayed in (and we have stayed over a dozen in the last 3 months all over the USA). The staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast is also very well done with more then the average choices - all cooked to perfection. Would definitely stay again - wish all BW were like this one!

Super friendly, efficient, helpful front desk staff. Super clean rooms, free WiFi, and very comfortable beds. Close to freeway without freeway noise. Well made basic hot breakfast (but in a dark, grim, cheerless back room). Bad soundproofing in rooms..next door neighbors conversations were amplified, every slam of their fridge, drawers, or door made walls shake, and when they walked around their room it sounded like they were jumping on my ceiling even though I was on top floor. It's a fine place to stay otherwise and there are hardly any other choices in Tumwater, and staff were great..maybe just avoid the rooms near the exits and stairs (there are no elevators) to avoid most of the banging of roller bags and feet up and down stairs all night.

Best Western Tumwater Inn is a pleasure to stay at. Staff treat me as family. They are very welcoming. With several restaurants within easy walking distance, everyone can find something to eat. In addition to a hot breakfast, there is also a 5pm social hour with hot food and cool drinks. And there are fresh cookies at 6pm every night.

We have stayed at this hotel when we are visiting in California. The service is great and the rooms are always very clean. They provide a free breakfast which works very well for us as we can help ourselves and be on the road early in the morning.

I love staying at this hotel when I'm in Tumwater for my quarterly meetings. It is always quiet and clean. In the morning, when I step out of my room I can smell breakfast cooking and it's always delicious. Even more important, the staff are welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They're the best!

Looking for somewhere to stay while we made our way down the coast. This hotel was perfect. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Check in was smooth and fast. Gave us tips for our trip down the coast. The room was perfect. We were upgraded to a king room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Room was clean and fresh. Located perfectly near the highway and coffee!

The building is not a 5-star hotel like a Four Seasons Hotel or Inter-Continental Hotel but its staff & guest services are 5 star. Services from check-in to check-out, comfortable room where everything works, full hot breakfast every morning, manager's reception 3 work week nights, housekeeping & maintenance person will make for 5 star hotel. Hasan & Grace at front desk do a great job of keeping guest happy & satisfied. Laurie goes out of her way to make the breakfast experience a lasting one. Rosa runs a great evening reception. Various housekeeper do a great job for you & your room. Maintenance replaced my slow water saving shower head after I complained to a housekeeper. What a wonderful crew. As a former Choice Hotel GM my praise goes to the GM here. I believe the Upper management takes care of its hotel staff & management & the results show in each member of this hotel team.

Clean room, friendly staff, plenty of parking. A good included breakfast is valuable to me and Best Western doesn't disappoint. Eggs, ham, waffles, cereal, variety of bread products, several juices, coffee, a nice selection of fresh fruit-they have what you're looking for. Place is quiet. A great Mexican restaurant next door (see review of Plaza Jalisco).

We stayed for four nights and were treated very, very well. From the front desk to the housing service, everything was done with a smile. Valerie Walters treated guests to a nice buffet on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evening. A breakfast with your room rate is also very nice. Senior & Military discounts are honored. Thanks to All who made this stay very enjoyable.

On our way driving down the coast. Nice clean hotel, rooms, amenities and the staff was great. We enjoyed our night here. I like the city it seemed well planned. Went and saw the fall by the old Olympia Brewing Co. It was fine. The park next to the falls had a fish hatchery, it's always fun to watch wild fish splash. Nice stay.

Surprisingly, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The place looked very new. The room and bed were clean and bed was comfortable. The pillows were not perfect though they didn't ruin the overall impression of the place. The quality of breakfest was above the hotel class, surprisigly including items such as mini tomatoes and kiwis, which was a very nice surprise. The hotel was definitely a good deal for the price charged.

We checked in late without a reservation and it was as easy as if we had a reservation. We had a great comfortable room and the breakfast was better than most. We enjoyed eating there. The staff is exceptional and we could not ask for a more relaxing night or morning checking out.

With the exception of the bed and teensy tiny bars of soap plus hard pillows our stay was O.K. That's all I have to say. hope you have a bed board and soft pillows and larger soap for my next visit. Breakfast was good but a menu in the room would be helpfull

Once you find it (kind of hidden off the main street) and come inside you will love it! Staff is friendly . There is an evening reception on Monday through Wednesday with great choices. Rooms are very clean.

This is a very nice, average, small motel that most travelers are looking for when they get ready to stop for the night. It's a newer property so everything in the room was in good condition. It was very clean as one would hope and expect. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators in the them. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I believe the motel only has two floors so I don't think there was an elevator though. They have a breakfast in the morning like a lot of these places do to which I never partake as I prefer to check out local eateries instead (in this case nearby Starbucks). I did however grab a couple of fresh baked cookies on my way to my room as I arrived at around the time they put them out (6:00pm). They were yummy! Didn't use any of the facilities (ex. Gym) so can't comment on any of those things. My neighbors were quiet so slept well. Seemed to be located in a safe, suburban area so no worries about safety. Typical fast food places nearby like McDonalds, Taco Time, Taco Bell etc. as well as more local eateries as well. Very easy to get on and off I - 5 freeway. I stayed here so that I could visit places in and around Olympia. Cheaper to stay just outside the city. If you have time there is a really nice park nearby called the "Tumwater Falls Park" (look up on Trip Advisor under city of Tumwater). It has a salmon hatchery attached. I lucked out and visited when the Salmon were spawning (3rd week in September). It was amazing to watch the fish try to jump up the ladders. Beautiful mile walk around the Deshutes River. Perfect place to stretch your legs after driving and breathe in some good clean air and clear your mind as well. Also has a play area for younger children and some picnic tables as well. There is a fine dining restaurant over looking the falls if you are in the mood to treat yourself. All in all very satisfied with my stay here. Would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area!

This is the first time staying at this BW and I'll stay here again when I'm in the area. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The BW is just off the I-5 freeway and very convenient when traveling north or south. Breakfast had a great selection and filled my needs.

During our 2 week trip to WA, this was the best BW we stayed in! Great location and price, friendly staff, rooms are very clean and VERY comfortable. This place had the best breakfast - waffles, eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes - always a nice surprise when the complimentary breakfast is restaurant quality. We always stay at BW when possible, and this one is a gem!

Very clean and big room. Quiet and close to everything. Very nice and helpful hotel staff. Great breakfast and fresh baked cookies every evening. Only drawback was no elevator so you could only make one trip with luggage and all. Would definitely stay again.

This was my third stay this year at this motel while driving between San Francisco and Vancouver. I am on the road quite a bit for business and sometimes for pleasure. I check out the values of the Best Western and Hilton brands in the cities I am passing through. This Inn deserves a special mention on several qualties: - the staff is on top of things - friendly, helpful, and the place is very well taken care of - it is several cuts above the standard BW and compares very favourably with BW Plus properties. - I was very happy to find a good variety of fresh fruit at breakfast instead of the usual few tired apples and bananas that these places offer. Great to have alternatives to the empty calories of the sweets and the salty, fatty foods usually on offer.

This hotel has superior customer service at a good price. They include gluten free and dairy free breakfast items--just let the desk know what you need at check in. The food is exceptionally fresh and tasty. I have had much smaller rooms for a lot more money. While the facility is older than some, it is well maintained and the rooms are very clean. The guest laundry is superior, reasonably priced and open 24 hours. It is pet friendly, too. It is a little hard to see from the road, but persevere. You will be glad you did.

It is behind a Shell gas station. A little old on the outside. We got a room on the first floor. The room was updated. There was a microwave and refrigerator. Wifi was great! Yummy chocolate chip cookies! Breakfast was adequate! They had a make your own tortilla wrap with eggs and chorizo! Not something most people wanted from what I saw including us!!! We tasted the chorizo in hopes of mixing it in with our eggs but it was so bad we threw it away!!! Bacon or sausage would have been better!!! The breakfast room was very busy and I kept watching and only saw two young kids get tortillas and not the chorizo. We would stay here again.

We'd driven a long way and had a tough day (a rock had cracked our windshield) and needed some TLC or at least no hassles. The staff was SO caring and kind. Apparently every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday they host a "guest social" in their breakfast area. That night they offered HOMEMADE meatball subs with a fresh salad and choice of dressings plus free beverages including wine, beer, or soda. The meatballs were very tasty. Our room was spacious and very clean. They had a huge flat screen TV that could easily be watched from anywhere in the room. The fridge in the room was the largest mini-fridge we'd seen on our trip. It was also very quiet and convenient to any type of store we might have needed. Breakfast offered many delicious hot choices. In addition there were 6 types of cut-up FRESH fruit! And they even had 10 choices of tea flavors. A real winner for lodging.

The surrounding area is ok convenient if you are wanting to be halfway between Seattle and Mt Ranier, but the local restaurant offerings are pretty much chain restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights and our room key quit working halfway through the stay. The first day our toilet clogged up, but even after it was unclogged, it smelled stinky in our room for the remainder of the stay. There was a slight brownish (I hope…) stain about butt level on my bedsheets. No shampoo in the shower and it didn't get refilled the 2nd day. Other than that the hotel is pretty new, decently clean, has the pool / workout facility etc. Their dryer doesn't work well at all, and not too sure about the washer for that matter. Continental breakfast was a little better than normal offerings with organic apple sauce, and warm sausages.

We stayed one night on the way to our destination, and we were surprised by the good features of this hotel: Only a couple of miles from a very nice (affordable) municipal golf course and also hiking trails with waterfalls (we didn't see the second thing but heard it was very good). The room was clean, with more than enough power connections and great internet. It was a short walk from a local favorite pizza beer place, which we enjoyed. The bed and shower were the areas that weren't the best, but still good enough. Another unexpected feature: free breakfast starts at 5am, although the hot stuff was a little late to arrive. The staff was friendly and aimed to please. I would stay here again!

The friendliness of the manager and staff at this hotel are the reason I keep coming back. They have gone above and beyond to help make my stay as comfortable as possible when I am in town on business. I would highly recommend choosing this hotel over the competition because of the amazing lengths the staff will go to make your stay fantastic!!

Best Western Tumwater meets Best Western quality standards with hospitality details characteristic of indepent hotels/motels. We arrived in time for a complimentary hot dogs, salad and beer reception. Our breakfast was so much more than the complimentary Best Western breakfast — a breakfast server offering eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns; the fresh fruit selection offered strawberries, seasonal melons and figs. The room was spacious and immaculate with a comfortable bed and generous uninterrupted internet. I'm not a big fan of a two part bathroom because the light at the sink disturbs sleepers, but all the parts of the bathroom were all there. Might not look like an upscale accommodation, but the lived experience was.

It has a great location, and wonderful cookies every night. But there is no elevator so you must pack everything upstairs and we don't travel lightly. The staff is caring and all dressed very nice. The inside decor is nice and homey feeling.

I am a Competition Shooter. I normally stay at a Motel 6 or Super 8 motel. I decided to treat myself to a Best Western a couple weeks earlier in Lacey, WA. I was amazed, what a first class operation. The continental breakfast should be referred to as a self serve breakfast as it's amazing. Newspapers in the lobby in the morning, Coffee pot is always available. A very nice stay. Two weeks later I stayed at Tumwater, it's a older facility. The staff at this Best Western was the best I've ever seen. They made me aware of what was available and Gracie who checked me in was amazing. I'm a regular guy, here to compete in a shotgun competition and I found this hotel set the bar on what should be available when a serious guy stays away from home.

This hotel is conveniently located close to highway exit. It is incredibly clean, room was clean. Bed was very comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Very large TV in room. Room was big. Definitely didn't feel cramped. The breakfast was fantastic. Not only did they have the standard cereal and toast, they also had eggs chorizo and tortillas to make breakfast burritos and also a waffle maker. Large breakfast area with plenty of seating

this place needs more responsive front desk staff. three times during my stay I had to call them out of the kitchen to address my concerns, they should have a bell or some way to call form them other then to verbally call to them while they a goofing off in the kitchen. One time the lady had a major attitude for interrupting her. The rest room had a odor of urine around the toilet that was corrected during the next days cleaning. On the next to my last day my keys stopped working and needed to get the room rekeyed. after a long day and needing to use the restroom, I did not need to have to wait for someone to stop messing around in the kitchen, get attitude from your staff for interrupting them from their personal conversation with who ever was back in the kitchen. Then hall all of my stuff back up the stairs for the second time, because you do not have an elevator. I think I will be looking for another Hotel in the area next year!

Every encounter with staff was excellent. Room was great, with even a refrigerator and microwave. Bed was very comfortable except that we would have preferred a light blanket option rather than the warm blankets we had as we slept too warm. Think then we understood why the thermostat was at 61 degrees when we first entered the room! Very convenient for walking to fast food, coffee, and some restaurants. The breakfast included was excellent. At least 6 different types of fresh fruit, which really impressed me. Like another reviewer said, not much to look at on the outside, but all you could want on the inside. I was impressed and signed up for the Best Western Rewards program as this is the second BW we have stayed at and been very pleased with both.

This was a good solid hotel to spend the night without paying the ehigh price of Seattle. Other hotels in the area are far more expensive than this one. I will stay here again if I am in the area. Thanks

We have stayed here twice before and have always had a good stay. Great breakfast for hungry boys! Weren't around for the evening cookies this time...too bad. Easy access to and from the I-5. Large rooms with windows that open so we could get fresh air. The internet worked well and the beds were comfortable.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable rooms and they are pet friendly. They have a Happy Hour from 5-7:00pm. Free glass of wine or beer and "munchies". We have stayed here before on two other occasions. The Mexican restaurant next door has great food and very reasonable prices.

The friendliness, service and amenities at this Best Western are superb. I attended the "Manager's Reception" which offered the guests beverages of choice (A good selection of beers and local wines) and your choices of salads and beef sausage with all the condiments. Its all good at no extra cost to the stay. Their business center (computer and printer) are state of the art in hardware and software (MS Office Suite). Used it without a glitch.

The hotel is close to the highway and to all the sites in Olympia and Tumwater. Clean comfortable room and good bed. The breakfast has a full range of hot and cold food. Great waffle maker, fresh fruit, eggs, bagels, hard boiled eggs, etc., Very good coffee and cookies in the evening. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent value.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We travel a lot so staying in comfortable, clean, well-managed hotels is important to us. All was good, but sleeping in a clean very comfortable bed in a clean well-appointed room is a bonus. Thank you to the manager and staff. We will be back.

The entire staff at this hotel was great. The room was immaculate, efficient and roomy. The price of the room was very reasonable. The breakfast food was REAL food and excellent. Overall, this was the best hotel experience I've had all year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We enjoyed our stay, it was fairly close to the venue and the deal that the hotel gave for the wedding guests was appreciated. The hot breakfast was good and had a nice variety. We got to see a different area of Washington we had never been to before. Nice area.

I was greeted by friendly staff when I arrived, during the free cookie period. The check in process was quick and efficient, my hotel room was in a very quiet portion of the hotel, and my room was well prepared. The television stations available were standard, but I really enjoyed the channel that has music only. The bed was very comfortable, and it was the best sleep I've had at a hotel in a long time. I travel a lot, so there are many factors that I would say affect that. Noise from outside, noise from inside, bed and pillow types, and if the floor above you creaks when someone is walking. I slept like a baby.

This hotel is rather a plain brown sparrow, sitting back behind an abandoned gas station. However, it was nice and clean, the employees were all so nice and friendly, and mostly, the room was very nice and quiet. There is a pizza place, a Mexican restaurant, and a Starbucks all within close walking distance, which was great! I'm glad I gave it a try and will definitely stay here again.

clean, friendly, great location for visiting Olympic mountains and seattle. Cookies every evening, great breakfast hot options including fresh fruit and whipped cream for my waffle. Even non -dairy milk option , cereal, muffins, danish, etc.....

We were in town for an event at the state Capitol. We chose this hotel because it was a reasonable driving distance. We don't stay in very many Best Westerns but we have to say that we thought this hotel was very clean, quiet and offered a delicious Hot Breakfast. We used the exercise room on our arrival day. It was small but adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the shower wasn't as powerful as we prefer. The breakfast was very good. They had eggs and sausage. We enjoyed the fresh fruit and yogurt. A wide variety sure to please anyone. We would stay here again if we are in Tumwater.

We ended up at the Best Western Tumwater Inn after unexpected car troubles. The repair shop brought us here and we are glad they did. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and I did like they had duvet covers rather than icky bedspreads. We were warmly greeted, and informed there was a guest social that evening We popped in and found there was salad, chicken wings and two free beers/wines or soda. When we asked for a water she gave us each two nice bottles to take back and put in the fridge. She even apologized that they weren't cold! Then there were cookies in the lobby - they were still warm! Apparently they don't do this every night, but most Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Breakfast in the morning was basic - yogurt, fruit, coffee/juice, toast/muffins and hot bacon and scrambled eggs. Nothing fancy, but certainly adequate and filling. The area isn't much to look at but there were both fast food and sit-down restaurants within walking distance (important to us as the car is in the shop). We could hear someone walking upstairs occasionally but other than that if was quiet - and that is pretty amazing considering we were on the first floor by the parking lot. I have paid a lot more for a lot worse rooms and service. I hope next time I'm in the area it is under better circumstances, but I would certainly stay here again.

Very clean room and all areas of the property were clean and well maintained. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was very courteous and professional. We will be staying at this property again when we return to the area.

This was probably the very best Best Western that we have stayed at. The exterior was a little plain and the businesses around looked runned down, so when we pulled up I was a little hesitant but moment we walked into the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is very nice and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We loved the breakfast - great variety and the food was fresh. We also thought the milk and cookies in the evening was a nice touch. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had two comfortable chairs- one with an ottoman and a larger than usual refrigerator. This hotel is also very close to the government buildings and downtown Olympia. We had a great stay!

Older property behind an out of business gas station near I-5, lots of fast food and grocery stores. Had a Queen room overlooking the gas station. Vanity is in the room (just to the left as you come through door) so there is no closet - just a one foot space for hanging things. Iron and board in room. Toilet/shower very standard except that shower is VERY low flow. Took 10 minutes to get hair thoroughly wet. Bed is fine, not too hard, not too soft. Four pillows, mostly large and firm. Nice big flat screen TV that worked well. Internet worked - not fast, not slow. Breakfast room is plain with food on counters. Standard food options - cereal, eggs, waffles. We were there on a busy weekend so room was 80% full of kids. Walls are very thin and I was next to a roomful of 6 kids. Finally had to ask them to quiet down at midnight. Kids are kids. Oh - there is a mini fridge in room that is LOUD. Had to unplug it to get to sleep. (Room 204 if you're reading...) I don't have anything bad to say but nothing super good either. If priced well and you just need a place to sleep, this is a perfectly fine choice.

Very convenient check-in/check-out. Breakfast was very filling, well-resented. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was efficient and professional, niether friendly nor unfriendly. I wasn't looking for fancy, just traveling for business. So it provided all I needed.

Frieny front desk staff and typical lobby chech in. After that it went down hill . Room smelled from cleaning fluids, bed lumpy bumpy. HVAC and bath exhust fans loud. Next day was better. We stayed here for a conference we were attending nearby. The rooms have been updated recently. Carpets, bedding, furniture, and lighting have all been updated and feel new. The bath sink is in the entryway outside the toilet and shower. The toilet looked ancient and the bath floor was also old but overall, everything was clean and tidy. The free breakfast was one of the best I've ever encountered. Fresh fruit, breads, yogurt, juices and a waffle maker were all available. The days were stayed, the hot portions were scrambled eggs, country potatoes and bacon one day, and chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. Also they do an evening free meal Mon-Wed and we had a salad bar and broccoli cheese soup AND they offer about a half dozen beers and wines, and you get 2 drinks with it, all for free! Also each night at 6, they have fresh baked cookies and milk. Parking was good, location was good although in an older area of shopping, and lots of restaurants nearby. There were a couple negatives too, one being the hvac in the room never got the room cool running constantly, and its a 2 story without an elevator. Having stayed at other hotels in Tumwater, this will be my future first pick.

Clean, comfortable room with microwave, refer, coffee maker. Breakfast was good and stay was reasonable. My only issue was my neighbor was a late check-in midnight. He/She had a noisey bathroom fan that he kept turning on and off. Woke me up and kept me up for about an hour. I reported to front desk the next a.m. and they wrote a note to fix it. Otherwise, great!

Our 1/3 rest stop between Vancouver, BC & San Francisco, CA. Arrived after midnight. Friendly check in. Accommodates pets = doggie treat bag given + room close to the exit to the doggie area. Fair price= $127. Shower had great water pressure for washing my long hair. Pleasantly surprised. Would stay here again.

This is a very clean, newly furnished and comfortable place to stay in the Olympia area. The staff are friendly, and it has an especially extensive breakfast offering. Easy parking and easy access to I5 and local thoroughfares, yet the location is quiet.

We went to Olympia for one night for a family function, and found this hotel to be perfect for our purposes. The location is good for access to all parts of Olympia. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Although there is no elevator we were offered a choice of floors for our room. We were told that they would help us with luggage if we wanted to be on one of the upper floors. The breakfast was the best we have experienced at a Best Western. I will stay here again on future visits to Olympia.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Easy on and off the highway. Quiet. My husband appreciated the cookies. Front desk clerk was helpful in recommending a Thai restaurant in the area. Breakfast area was nice and well stocked.

The staff was very friendly and helpful durning our stay there. Was there for my granddaughter's graduation. It was appreciated that there was always hot coffee and fresh cookies every night in the large lobby area.

The Staff is exceptionally warm and hospitable......Kids loved the warm cookies in the evenings. The Breakfast is wonderful!!Great value and location!They make you feel right at home..We will be back again!!

From the moment that I checked in at almost midnight to be super clean room , the best breakfast and even coffee in the room. This place takes them all. No matter what happens, I am going to find a way to stay here each time that I head north on Interstate 5 through Washington. All the ladies were wonderful, the cook is Brooke Hicks and she is a phenomenal chef! They also have evening dinner hours (certain days) to check out with free food and wine tasting. Our room was clean and quiet. The hotel staff members were all friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was included and delicious. If you need Wi-Fi, this is your places. We have stayed in many dozens of different hotels over the past decades. This place had the fastest internet. I clocked the speed at about 50 MBPS download.

We were welcomed into the hotel by a friendly face, offered cookies and milk and breakfast the following day was one of the best complimentary breakfasts we have had in our travels. The fresh fruit selection included strawberries, blueberries and blackberries which were wonderful.\\ Would stay here again if needed.

Great place for business travelers to stay - the staff excels at customer service and making workers feel comfortable while away from home. Location makes it easy to reach prime Olympia locations and great internet.

This hotel is very easy to find, off of I-5, but far enough away that I didn't hear the freeway at all - with a room facing towards the freeway. Check-in was fairly quick - a group in front of me took quite a while to check-in, but once they were done, it was fast. There was minimal "neighbor-noise" but not much and not late. The room was a little warm for my taste, but I usually sleep with a window open until frost. They do have breakfast, starting fairly early. If I pass through the area again and need to stop, I will definitely stay here.

Check in experience was friendly, helpful and professional. We got some good recommendations for local dining. The included breakfast was quite good, again great service. The only small drawback was lack of an elevator to our second floor room, but the room was clean, quiet, good comfort controls in the fan/AC unit. This hotel seemed a bit smaller than others I've stayed in of this chain, but it does not disappoint.

The hotel is a bit hidden but not impossible to find. And well worth finding! The room was nicely appointed and well designed. There were fresh baked cookies at the check in desk when we arrived. The hotel had all the bells and whistles of a good Best Western . The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Next morning there was a great breakfast and lots of fresh hot coffee.

Please feel free to sample my experience with the staff as detailed in my earlier comments. The personnel really seem to care and don't just bumble about with a request or concern. Anyone staying here will feel welcome and well served.

This is an extremely comfortable hotel in a quiet location near Interstate 5. We had a large room with a sofa, microwave, and fridge, a large bathroom, and a comfortable bed with really nice linens. Standard breakfast buffet. The desk clerk couldn't have been nicer. Very pleasant stay.

We have been in the Tumwater/Lacey area 5 times this past year due to the moving of my mother to an assisted living location. Having stayed at several hotels in the area, including BW Plus, this is hands down the best. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable from all I have seen and heard. You get the usual breakfast as per most BW hotels, BUT..... During the week, there is a light dinner served several days, along with 2 beer or wine. We have had pulled pork and Costco hot dogs this week, missed the burritos. Room is clean and comfortable, similar in furniture to the Lacey Plus property. This is where we will be staying for any further visits. Value for the price is outstanding, plenty of area dining options for the evenings without food provided without having to drive.

I always stay at this hotel when on business in Olympia, It is always clean, has a reliable breakfast, easy access to the Capitol campus. Last time they even served a light meal and drinks at dinner time for free. They always have rooms available at the government rate.
