« Great stay »

This hotel is an excellent value. The staff from the front desk to maintenance were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean, newly updated, and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet had many choices and was very good. Highly recommend this hotel.

« Our three night stay was absolutely awesome the rooms and facility were emaculant »

    « Clean, comfortable, friendly. »

Haven't stayed at this Best Western before, thought we'd give it a try on way home from Florida. Some difficulty finding hotel with all the highway construction in the area. Worth the trouble. Pleasant, friendly staff to greet you as you enter lobby. Efficient check in. Rooms a little small, as with most hotels in a city. Room was clean and comfortable, with all amenities working on demand. Smoking area with some seating was provided outside pool, instead of standing at front door of the hotel. Beds comfortable. Bathroom clean, showers hot, towels plentiful and spotless. Hot breakfast with meat , eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, etc. was plentiful and good. Will probably stay again on our next trip, providing road work done.

    « Very friendly staff »

Front desk associates and the lady taking care of the breakfast were very professional and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower was very nice with very good water pressure and a large shower head. The swimming pool is very large and clean.

Very great experience. The only minor issue was the cleanliness of the room... Tiny things really and the room smelled a little musty from water getting on the carpet from the large hot tub. Breakfast was really good honestly and we will be back.

« Clean Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Staff »

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's only about 5 minutes from downtown Louisville, which is great. The hotel was very clean. Our room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was also fantastic. They had biscuits and gravy, bacon, potatoes, waffle bar, yogurt bar, make your own breakfast tacos, plus all the usual fruit, toast, etc. I want to especially leave positive feedback for Lisa. She was running breakfast and she was awesome. She was constantly stocking the food and drinks and making sure everything was cleaned up and all guests were taken care of. We would absolutely come back to this hotel again!

    « Visit in September 2016 »

First time in this city/town, room was very crowded but ok for one night's stay. Price was good too. Decor was very nice. Beds were good. There was a round table in the room which took up a lot of room, a square or oblong would be better in order to move around. If we knew what our view would be, we would have asked for a better view.

« Good Food ,Nice pool »

Great breakfast and nice pool for kids staff very pleasant when checking in, Great location to down town also nice off street parking well worth the price. pool is indoors and out of weather so no need to worry about rain , big breakfast area with all the fixens

    « Factory employee »

Breakfast is always wonderful Lisa makes everyone welcome and is very accommodating I've been here off and on for 2 months always look forward to breakfast w lisa. Breakfast always consist of a full menu. Love the fact there is always fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, and juice. Lisa is always friendly and helpful to everyone.

« Diamond in the rough »

We checked into the Best Western after having had a reservation at the Hampton Inn across the street. Upon check in, we found stains all over the bed cover and smelly pillows in our room. We were then given keys to another room which didn't work. The straw that broke the camel's back was finding the pool was closed for maintenance and not being told this when we checked in. We checked out and went to the Best Western. Don't be fooled by the outward appearances as it is an older building, It has been updated nicely on the inside, The room was updated and spotlessly clean. The bed very comfortable and was made perfectly. The complimentary breakfast bar in the morning was well stocked and had a very large selection of items. We stayed on a weekend, so don't know if this is the standard fare on a weekday morning or not, but you could find just about anything you'd want for breakfast there and then some! Trent was extremely nice and helpful getting us checked in after the ordeal at the Hampton. The only mishap during our two night stay was the battery in the smoke detector in our room decided to die and start beeping at 5 a.m. A quick call to the front desk and it was switched out within minutes and we were back to sleep. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

« Wonderful experience for the money »

Excellent hot breakfast. Fruit available after hours. All functional parts of room. Exceptional staff! Computers available in business area were a definite added benefit. Enjoyed the capabilities of the TV channel selections.

    « Very Accommodating »

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was quite good offering warm breakfast items, and the facility was very clean. Location is near interstate and near town of New Albany. Easy access to interstate if traveling to Louisville.

    « Was okay »

The swimming pool is very large and deep but doesn't have anything to entertain children. A water slide would be a welcome addition. Otherwise the hotel was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. We cannot comment on the food as we did not dine there.

    « Tired »

The place is quite worn. Rehab is being conducted, but it feels more like a face lift than a redo. The room just felt old. The bath was plain, painted in canary yellow. But the paint job was sloppy. The The breakfast was limited in variety and quality. The staff was pleasant.

    « Nice hotel »

Rooms were nice. Shower was the best! Front staff were nice and friendly. Would have given it a 5 star but wasn't happy that housekeeping woke us up knocking on our door at 9am to see of we had left :(

« Very nice hotel, great breakfast too!! »

Very nice hotel and a great breakfast selection. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and nice. My room did however have black mold and drywall damage above the tub where there must had been a leak at one time, but this is common in a lot of hotels and it does not bother me, but I though that I might let people know so they can know before hand. Also right now, this place is full of construction workers due to all the work being done on the interstates in Louisville, so if this bothers you, best stay somewhere else. I staid here 2 nights and I thought it was a very nice hotel, I slept great, the rooms where nice and big and very clean. The breakfast was super good with a lot of things to pick from, however if you get there late the construction people might have cleaned it out.. I really liked this hotel and will stay there again if working in that area.

    « Not great »

Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Our room was a disability room, (we have no one with disabilities in our group) with a wheelchair access shower. The shower kept overflowing every time we used it. We had to put towels around it each time. Fitness room has real outdated equipment

    « Just ok. »

We stayed at this hotel because it was a central location to the attractions we were visiting. Pros: The staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was above average, water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. Cons: AC didn't work great, room was small, hallway was hot. I gave it 3 stars because I do not feel it is a great value for $149.

« Clean, Comfortable, and Quiet »

My husband and I stayed for a night while visiting the casino (it's about a $15 Lyft ride from the hotel to the casino, by the way). It was obvious they were in the process of some updating and renovations in the lobby but it was very nice. Both young ladies I encountered at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was spacious with a large vanity which I appreciated. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous! We missed the breakfast but my husband took advantage of the on-site Subway. It wasn't the Ritz but we weren't expecting that anyway. Overall, it was perfect for what we needed and I would definitely recommend it!

« my stay at new albany »

hotel was very nice but the breakfast was not good. Food was not tasty and appearance was very messy. Other amenities were excellent as were front desk staff. It was nice to have an onsite Subway Restaurant in case you are tired when you check in.

    « Pleasurable Stay »

Overall my stay was great. The staff was helpful when I had a slight issue at check-in. The breakfast choices are decent. The elevator and the hallway on my floor felt as if there was no air. Not sure if the record breaking temps had anything to do with it but my room was very comfortable. My only complaint was I could not get an invoice at check out. I departed at 6am and there was no invoice in my room when I left and no one available at front desk when loaded up to leave. I did call later and Trent emailed me the invoice. Location is great! Right off/on interstate, great restaurants very close by. Decent exercise room and really nice indoor pool.

« Not quite what we hoped »

This hotel is a former Holiday Inn that was being remodeled when we last stayed here six years ago. The remodeling is finished, but should have included a restaurant upgrade. A Subway for an onsite restaurant? Really? The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of items in a pleasant environment.

    « Sleepless night »

Overall yes the hotel is old and needs some work but was clean and staff was good. Our problem was there were a lot of construction worker staying and the noise started very early. We were the room next to the ice machine and the cooler started getting filled at 4 am. We requested a refund which the hotel was good about and moved to another hotel in Louisville for the next night

    « Subpar »

When we arrived we did not even get a hello from the young lady behind the desk. The room looked like it had been painted but it was overall old. They put in really dark carpet so you could not tell if it was dirty and very little lighting. The bathroom was old and looked dirty. No bar soap. The sheers were filthy. The bed had only 2 sheets to cover with and no blanket and the room was cold and we could not adjust the fan on the air conditioner. The hallways were dirty and carpet not vacuumed. We did tell the front desk the next morning being late when we got in. The lady at the front desk took off $15 but it was still over $110 and was not worth it. Breakfast same old same old that we had at every other hotel. Definitely no plus here more like a double minus.

    « Underwhelmed »

Overall our opinion was that it was easy enough to find and leave if you had gps. Disappointing supper choices on nearby restaurants but the in house subway was fun and well staffed. Rooms were clean and decorated modern, but you could tell this is an older building. Kids loved the WiFi so we skipped the busy pool, but I heard it was huge. Not trailer friendly parking, or a great neighborhood, but staff said that they are well patrolled and it did seem that way. Great Best Western hotel. We just didn't see where the Plus came from.

    « Shocked »

This hotel is very deceiving from the outside! I was in a bind and booked last minute. Shocked when inside. Everyone was so nice and the hotel was clean and nice. I enjoyed my stay! I had to cut my stay short. Housekeeping and front desk were awesome and did not pressure or have an attitude. It was a very pleasant experience.

« Folks that impressed me!!! »

First, I am not eloquent with words but I try to be specific in information put out!! During our stay at Best Western on the next to last day that we where there we had an incident at approximately 11:30 pm. We tried to enter our room with the magnetic strip card. It would not open. We tried the card I held and we tried the card my wife held. We tried several times and nothing worked. I took both cards to the front desk where met a person named Kelsey. She ran our cards through the electronic machine to reload the codes into both cards. I again tried both cards with no success. Kelsey came and tried to open our door using a handheld computer, she tried several time---no success! She then called a maintenance man named Phillip and he went over the instructions with her on how to try and get the door open using the handheld, they tried for over 15 minutes., no success. Phillip told Kelsey he would come in and try to get the door open. Kelsey ended her shift and Dishonne took over. He made sure we were taken care of offered us coffee and refreshments. Within the 30 minutes Phillip, the maintenance man, came and worked on the door. He worked some magic and forced the door open so we could get our belongings. While he was busy doing that Dishonne set us up in another room. After the room we were having problems with was finally opened Dishonne helped us move into the new room. Simply put all 3 individual took the time and effort to assist us!!! Best Western should be proud to have these folks as part of their staff!!

« Never stay again or recommend!!! »

Requested rollaway, then told,on arrival, couldn't have due to fire regs.thus forcing me to rent another room (would have went elsewhere if I had known at time of booking). One of the reasons I booked here was pool, of course, out of order next day after arrival and was told would be fixed next day, then next day ,then next day, hmmm, not!! My niece had spill on bed requested linen change, was told, sorry too busy on by myself but I can bring you linen and you can change it yourself, REALLY?!? On arrival, noticed refrigerator broken, well seemed to work but when I opened door, or I should say when I forced door open as it was leaning so far forward the door rubbed onto the floor causing you to have to force it open, water spilled out of it. I requested repair or replacement. I was told, nobody here till next day, never saw anyone. Why didn't I call again....well you can only call so much and you start to feel like your related. Last but not least Wi-fi connection very spotty...cut in and out all the time.

    « Satisfactory Stay »

No issues. Room was clean, Shower had hot water. Bed was spacious and comfort was acceptable. Television and clock-radio worked. Elevator was always accessible. Staff was always pleasant. Parking was abundant and the lot was lit. The location provides easy access to downtown and to the interstate.

« Nice hotel, customer service needs work. »

The day front desk girl has a bit of an attitude. Half the cleaning service barely speaks English. Oh and at 9 am EVERY MORNING be prepared for an unwelcome wakeup alarm which is the cleaning service leaving the door guard in a locked position and letting the door slam on it as they go in and out of the rooms they are cleaning. Over and over again. I thought it was kids being obnoxious at first, then I realized it was the staff!! There isn't much shopping nearby, need to weave your way to state Street if you have anything you need to buy. The breakfast was pretty good, love those waffles! Pool is fine, no hot tub tho :(. Overall I give 3 stars for the inconsiderate cleaning crew w the latching door short cut slam. Probably will go elsewhere next time.

    « What's the Meaning of "Plus"? »

Probably due to a large convention in town, we grabbed an accommodation at a BW Plus thinking that name bespoke above average. I guess I really don't understand the meaning of "Plus". This is an older, tired facility that has been gussied-up with trendy marble, paint, and plumbing fixtures. It's like too much rouge and eye shadow. It doesn't work! Some may call its location convenient, but being right next to a pot-holed freeway, meant we could count the semis passing by all night. "Plus" will remain with me as a question, not a conclusion or an assurance.

    « Very relaxing stay »

Friendly staff and awesome breakfast. Enjoyed a great stay rooms were clean beds are uncomfortable needed be replaced after 2 nights of tossing and turning. Glad to get back to my bed. But great location and close to places to eat and the casino

« Very nice hotel with a great pool »

We were in town for a basketball tournament. The hotel is very nice and is right off the expressway, which was convenient for us (although getting back on the expressway was a bit tricky, with all of the one way streets). The staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was kept well stocked. There is a Subway on site, which is great for a girls basketball team looking for a healthy meal between games. The highlight for our party was the pool - it is HUGE and there's actually a deep end (I think it went up to 9 ft), which is rare for a hotel. We are used to paying less when traveling to basketball tournaments, but it seemed reasonable for the area. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

« Went by previous reviews »

We are finding more and more that bestwestern plus does not mean anything extra at all. This hotel is in very bad need of updating. When you walk in it has a musty old smell. Roma are clean, but very out dated and smell musty. Location is wonderful. Food not so. No fresh fruit typical rubber eggs, but it is free. We sadly used our points to stay here. It is so hard to judge how people rate. We did choose this hotel based on the reviews. Reviews didn't match what we found. Bestwestern is becoming more and more iffy.

    « Best Hotel 4 Kentucky Derby »

My wife and I travelled from NC to New Albany on Thursday in order to attend the Oaks/Derby. The hotel gave us the Govt rate since we booked so early - and it was truly the best deal imaginable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel offered a free breakfast buffet with additional items for the Derby weekend. The buffet alone was wonderful but in addition, staff offered free cocktails, bottled water, cocktails in the evening, a shuttle service from the Hotel directly to Churchill Downs for $20 per person each way. Trust me, it was well worth it as the shuttle had drop off/pick up service at the entrance gate. The rooms were nice, the bed was comfortable, and there was a Subway on premises and an Awful House across the street. TIP = Best Restaurant is called the FEAST. They have the BEST pulled pork w/sweet potato fries. After attending the Derby, I've opted to retire from handicapping horses but for a once in a lifetime experience, my wife and I were so grateful to stay at this facility at the Govt rate. Again very friendly and helpful staff.

« Great place to stay »

We stayed three nights and we would stay there again if we were to visit the Louisville area again. You can tell that it has been renovated recently. Our hotel room was nice, had newer carpet and furnishings. If you look closely you can tell it is an older hotel, but that is not a big deal to us. The only negative is is that the bathroom did not have a fan to vent air out of it. Other than that everything was good. The breakfast was good and the ladies cooking the breakfast and keeping it stocked were very friendly and helpful. There was a fairly wide selection. They had scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, French toast sticks and everything else you would see at a hotel with a continental breakfast. I have stayed at nicer hotels, but for the price it was a good choice and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

    « Nice Friendly Atmosphere »

All stuffs are very friendly, you will enjoy the atmosphere. Walkway distance from the riverside walk. Be happy staying at this hotel. Very close to Louisville Downtown. Building is old, needs to build new hotel on that property. Not very lookrative

I and 3 of my staff stayed at this property during MATS. It is about a 15 to 20 minute drive to the Louisville airport and the Kentucky Convention Center. Very convenient to I64. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The hot breakfast was typical Best Western Plus, very filling with a good selection of items. The only real issue we had was erratic internet service, which in speaking to other guests was not unusual. The pillows were also on the very firm side and larger than normal. Despite that, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for business stays.

    « Good value »

Very reasonable rate for a great stay. We were staying over on our way back to our home in Wisconsin. Enjoyed the hot breakfast and the Subway fast food place connected to the establishment that we ate dinner at. We did have trouble connecting to the Internet, but it wasn't critical for us.They have a large pool, but we didn't utilize it.

    « Not a usable review »

My husband and I planned on staying here for the Garth Brooks concert. We checked in, put our bags in the room, and left on their shuttle to the KFC Yum center. Before the concert started, I got a horrible call that my dad had unexpectedly died. We rushed back to the hotel and immediately checked out. I can't review our stay, but wish there had been some discount given for spending only 5 minutes in a room. There wasn't.

    « Disappointing »

The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was okay. Those are the pluses. However, there were some problems starting with the bathroom. The toilet was too close to the bathtub so that made it difficult to reach the faucets to turn them on. It struck me that the faucets should have been at the other end of the tub. It also appeared that the bathroom door opened the wrong way -- it was up against the sink counter so in the middle of the night with the door open it was a bit to easy to walk into its edge or whack one's head on it. Apparently when they were remodeling the bathroom they decided to put the light switch against the wall where the door might logically have been placed as it is in other hotels. The room had a small refrigerator that was tipped and uneven. Someone had placed a piece of cardboard under it to prop it up but still the door dragged on the carpet. There was a round table tucked into a corner with two chairs by it -- this made moving from the bed past the chairs a bit of a challenge because it was easy to stub one's toe. The furniture appeared old. The round table was certainly not convenient for doing any work. And the lighting in the room was poor. This is not the first time I have been disappointed in a Best Western Hotel but it is definitely the last time I will stay in one.

    « Decent stay »

Convenient location, nice updated room, large indoor pool. Bathroom could use some upgrading. Two areas of mold on shower ceiling, but I'm not surprised because our shower head sprayed straight up to the ceiling a bit. Towel bar was rusty, etc. BUT...the bathroom was clean. It just didn't measure up to the nicely painted and decorated room. Breakfast area is very small. Hotel was sold out and we ended up taking our breakfast up to our room. Subway on site is nice. Nice workout room. One of the biggest negatives for me was that the wifi never worked for us.

« Wanted to give more stars but just couldn't! »

I was hoping I could give this hotel at least 2 or 3 stars. I was trying really hard to see if I couldn't. However, our sleep was absolutely horrible! The pillows were the most uncomfortable ones we have ever used in a hotel. The bed covers (for lack of knowing what else to call them) were so thin....and we had 3 of these very things 'bed covers' on our bed. Neither my husband or myself slept good at all!!! When we asked the front desk about both the pillows and the bed coverings their response was "no one else has ever said anything about them". Well, that was NO help at all. Worst night!! Not worth the money. NO OFFER from the staff to do anything to help with the situation. We definitely will NOT be back!

    « Nice rooms, but..... »

I have spent the last eight years traveling the Midwest and spend 2-3 nights a week in hotels. My job requires me to work evenings, so naturally I get to my hotels early. First time in eight years a hotel did not even attempt to accommodate my early check-in. I sat in the lobby for almost 3 hours waiting. Also, stayed here two weeks ago, and was awoken by maintenance coming in my room to check WiFi spot. Talk about awkward.

« Quite good, but pricey... »

Overall this remodeled location hit all the marks; from check-in to my room to breakfast to the receipt under my door. The impression on a whole was that it was a clean, comfortable, and safe location. The TV was also sized appropriately for the room size and had a great picture. Nice! Exceptions to thus would be price/value, the absolutely filthy HVAC air filters (which I pulled and set aside for the cleaning staff) and the less than great bed pillows. When in the New Albany area again, I would consider this location for my stay.

« Great place to stay »

This place was very nice right outside of Louisville. It has a an indoor pool for the kids and a subway on site. You could stay here and get to Kentucky Kingdom very easy. The room was very clean and the staff was all very friendly and helpful.

    « MATS Show »

This hotel is only 15 to 20-minutes away from Exposition Center in Louisville (without traffic). It was clean and quiet for our stay during the MATS. There are several great eating establishments within walking distance (10 or 15 minutes) in Downtown New Albany. Hotel has great access to I-64, making it easy to get into Louisville.

    « Value for Money »

Great option close to Downtown Louisville KY. It is a great value for money as compared to the downtown hotels. Plus you get free parking as compared to downtown hotels. Very spacious rooms and just 10 min drive from Louisville downtown.

« Great Place for the Price »

I booked this hotel when I was spending the weekend in Louisville, which is just across the river. It is a clean, well run and conveniently located hotel. Although the hotel was fairly full check in was efficient and friendly. My first floor room was large enough with two queen beds in it a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and there were several pillows which I prefer. The bathroom was large enough for more than one person. The gym facilities were nicer than most Best Western Hotels standards. There was a large indoor pool which was used by many families. The lobby offered a business center with several computers. The breakfast was outstanding- included was a waffle iron, fruit, pastries, cereal and yogurt, at least four hot dishes, juices and coffee and tea. The hotel is in walking distance of a couple of restaurants, the local library and provides easy access to Interstate 64.

    « Convenient, safe option »

For three years, we've chosen to stay at this location while our sons compete in a Louisville competition. Easy on-off ramp to I-64 makes the commute easy. Rooms are comfortable. Boys love the huge pool. Fitness center open 24 hours. Much care given to the breakfast buffet.

« Clean hotel with very professional staff, great breakfast »

Hotel was full but very quiet. Breakfast was amazing, a lot of choices and everything was well stocked and delicious. Room was clean and tidy. Even though it is right off the interstate, it was very quiet. I would stay here again any day of the week.

    « Fun weekend trip... »

Close to the interstate and an easy drive into Louisville without the city prices. Room rate was more than acceptable for the level of service. The room was clean and well stocked with clean towels. We requested the 5th floor after reading reviews about the bathroom remodel on Trip Advisor. Our bathroom was well remodeled. The beds were comfortable but only doubles and I much prefer a 2 queen room. The pool is large and my daughter enjoyed the 9ft deep end which is unusual in a hotel pool, we did wish there was a hot tub though! Plenty of good restaurants close by, try Wicks pizza if you get a chance. All in all it was a great stay for a good price.

    « Great Hotel »

This hotel was conveniently located from Downtown Louisville and close to the interstate. Our room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. There's a Subway located inside the hotel and a Waffle House across the parking lot. I would stay here again.

« Decent for the price »

The hotel was conveniently located across the river from Downtown Louisville (5 Min), and easy to access from the freeway. The hotel appears to have been recently remodeled inside - lobby and rooms were pretty nice. The bathroom was a little dated feeling. The indoor pool was huge (and DEEP!) my kids had a blast in it.

« Great hotel, great service »

I booked a room through orbitz to get a cheaper rate since the casino was booked. Orbitz screwed up my reservation (of course). They had it booked next Friday night instead of this Friday night. So, we left the casino and arrived at the hotel somewhere around 3AM to find out the reservation was wrong. After me calling orbitz and talking to a very rude woman, she said she would have to speak with the hotel employee. Kelsey was at the front desk last night. She was great! She battled with the Orbitz woman that was extremely rude and finally told her to cancel my reservation. She got me into a room for the price I was supposed to have. The hotel was almost full because of Valentine's day and the farm expo thing. But it was quiet, clean, etc. It was a great hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Kelsey for the amazing service and thanks to all the hotel staff for providing us with a comfortable, clean, and quiet room.

« Great place to stay to go to the casino for half the price with 23 dollar shuttle all night »

Great place to stay if you wanting to go to the local casino or concert for half the price with 3 shuttles running for 23 dollars to boat , Subway restaurant in the lobby and free breakfast 7 to 10 , Staff friendly and helpful . Waffle house in the parking lot for those late night cravings

    « Very good »

My husband booked this hotel and I decided to look up the ratings, so I was very hesitant and nervous because some of them weren't good. This is the first night out of 4 that we've stayed and everything seems to be just fine. As they have a sign on the front desk making sure we are all aware that they are renovating the bathrooms, which I didn't see any problem with. Yes, maybe a few stains on the ceilings like other ratings have said, but I barely even noticed. The room was clean and nice. The ONLY bad thing I noticed was the make up wipes that they provide for you burned my face. Everybody is different though. This place is great!

« Great Place to Stay »

Breakfast and Staff great. Price Great ! Clean and nice even in the snow. We used the hotel for tournament in Louisville. It was easy access and great staff. Highly recommended for price and cleanliness.

    « Looks are deceiving. »

Arrived early to the city and tried to get an early check in. No such luck. Upon our arrival there was a gentleman standing outside the main entrance smoking a cigarette having a conversation. With himself. There was also an elderly lady in a wheelchair rolling around the lobby area. It was clear that they both had some type of mental difficulty. Neither one of them were guest at the hotel. They did allow my family and I to use the facilities to change our clothes. Upon arriving back that night, we were fortunate enough to meet the local police. They were there trying to get both of these individuals to leave the premises. Apparently the hotel doesn't have there own security. They allowed these two to roam the premises for hours before addressing the situation. The room wasn't the cleanest. The floor wasn't vacuumed very good. The bathroom had the most issues. Dirty floors, hair and particals in bathtub and wash basin. Mold of some sort on the bathtub ceiling. Floors in the main hallways also weren't vacuumed very good. Beds slept well. Breakfast was good. I definitely wouldn't book again.

    « Great staff »

The staff at this location are very helpful and accommodating. The front desk gal, Megan, went above and beyond to help me with an issue I was having with Other staff members were friendly and helpful too. You cannot expect four star accomodations at the reasonable rate we paid but the rooms were clean and I can't praise the staff enough.

« Nice staff and breakfast but poor quality room »

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast is very good and was a nice way of starting the day. The biggest issue I had with our stay here was the quality of the hotel room itself. For the price charged per night of $109 I really expected it to be a lot nicer. The bathroom was the worst with obvious signs of water damage in the ceiling and wall around the shower/tub and no working exhaust fan. I can overlook these things if the nightly rate is lower but I expect more when the going rate is over $100 per night.

    « Business trip »

I stayed at this hotel while attending an expo in Louisville Kentucky. The staff was very friendly, quick check in and out, and the hotel was very clean. It had a good location and the staff was knowledgeable of the area and gave great recommendations for dinner. Would definitely stay there again!!!

    « Same Old Building »

This used to be a Holiday Inn Express. We never were really impressed with that either. They repainted the exterior so it looks nice from the outside, but inside the rooms are still old and in need of updating or repair. They are renovating the fifth floor, so maybe they are working top to bottom. The first room we were given was right next to the laundry facilities on the first floor, and we immediately asked for something different. We were then put on the second floor which smelled like smoke. The room was dark, the door didn't close very securely, but did lock. The bathroom door was hinged on the wrong side, rendering half the room useless unless you closed the door. The body wash dispenser was empty. The shower head was from the eighties and had too much pressure. The cold water was rarely cold. Won't stay there again. The Hampton a block away is a better choice.

« Visit son in area »

Our second stay at this facility to visit our son who resides in the area. Convenient location on and off to interstate, walking distance to large selection of eateries, farmers market and other downtown New Albany attractions. Great professional, responsive, friendly staff who make for a pleasant, enjoyable stay.

    « Very Good »

The staff was excellent and very helpful. The breakfast area was clean and updated very modern feeling. They have a large pool, great for kids and adults to swim in. Overall a great place to stay for business or pleasure.

    « A Life Saver! »

My fiance and I stayed here for a night in early October. We had checked in to a dump in Louisville and decided to move hotels. We found this place online and they had a room available. They front desk employee was helpful and very nice. We had a good rate too. The room was good size and the king bed was awesome. The room/bathroom was also clean and smelt good. The pool was indoor and was actually a "heated" pool The best part though, was the town was nice, with good food, and in walking distance. A 15 minute drive from the Louisville airport. It was a great place to stay in a clean town. I highly recommend it.

    « great »

Very well priced for product received. Some remodeling going on but not a problem. Four day stay was very pleasant. Problem with refrigerator but was quickly fixed. Staff worked hard for our business and pleasure needs.

    « Comfortable »

We stayed here to be near the Louisville airport for an early morning flight. It was a very comfortable stay with easy express checkout. The people were especially thoughtful. And though there was a vending machine making a tremendous racket right behind our room, we never heard it inside.

« Louder Than Life Festival »

Our overall experience was very pleasant. The front desk staff was smiling, attentive, and knowledgeable, and gave a great first impression to these two very tired travelers. We stayed here for the Louder Than Life festival. The hotel was in the perfect location, only 15 miles from Champions Park, and right next to the interstate. The free continental breakfast was delicious, but for those who don't care for that sort of thing, there is a Waffle House directly across the street. The room was clean, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. I will say that the first floor rooms are a bit noisy. The first floor hallway is tile instead of carpet, so you can hear people walking and rolling their luggage down the hall. I would think the other floors would be quieter. The noise didn't affect us much, but I thought future guests would appreciate the heads up. We would definitely stay here again, likely for next year's Louder Than Life festival.

« Nice hotel just outside Louisville »

Hotel has been kept up to date, with comfortable clean rooms right off the interstate. Easy access, and easy to get around downtown New Albany. Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was on par with most chain hotel free breakfasts with eggs, sausage, pastries, biscuits & gravy, a few cereal selections. More than enough to get filled up and on the road! Back of building elevator is a bit sketchy, but it got us up and down from the 5th floor plenty of times!

    « Miss Townsend »

Excellent place to stay, comfy, clean! Great bed plenty of pillow, better breakfast than any place in town. Didn't have just normal stuff it was a full hot breakfast with all the amenities. Shower had amazing water pressure, our whole wedding party got ready at the hotel and took pictures here. Also they offered us a government discount as well as they offer discounts for groups. Love it. Will look for Best Western Plus at any town I travel too!

« Ladies of Harley Weekend »

Sarah with group sales was very helpful. Not only were the rooms blocked, and easily found for other Ladies from our group to call in a reserve a room, she assisted on getting us a shuttle service to downtown Louisville. She also arrange for us to use the Boardroom on Saturday evening, for all of us to meet, play games, and laugh. The staff at the hotel was just as nice and helpful.

    « Golf »

Everything was great. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. They were doing some remodeling on my floor, but it didn't affect anything. The Breakfast was excellent and the choices were plenty. Have stayed here before and would do it again.

    « Better Than Average »

Our room was clean, internet connection was good, facilities were up-dated and well kept. The breakfast was very good, in fact the best we experienced on our 15 day trip where we stayed at several competitive hotels. The staff was friendly, helpful and provided printed maps so we would find our way to the meetings and places we needed to go. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in the New Albany area.
