Best Western Hotel Skyline Motor Lodge, Lakeview

Positive: This was our 2nd stay in about a year. The 1st floor room was tiny, but clean. Breakfast was okay. Fresh fruit or yogurt would have been a pleasant addition. Location is good for exploring area or traveling to/from Reno. Negative: Receptionist was busy on her computer, failed to greet me or even acknowledge my presence for a few minutes. Her first words were “Do you have a reservation?” Not hello, hi, or welcome. No thank you at checkout. Maybe she was stressed or tired. Either way, it wasn't welcoming. Huge concern: Bathtub had no mat or anti-slip surface. Obviously, it was very slippery. We used the fabric mat intended for floor use to avoid sliding around while showering.

The staff was friendly and warned us of the brown, metallic water but they ran out of bottled water to provide us. Would be nice to have some fresh fruit for a healthy breakfast option. Rooms were clean and quiet, we slept well.

We also sale bottled water in are vending machine and Safe Way is just a block away and the dollar store is right across the street from us.

I stayed here three nights. Perfect room for me. Super comfortable mattress, clean linens, room refreshed daily with clean towels, good TV, modern door lock. Hot tub. Friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. Nice balcony view.

It looked like this place could use more parking but we had a spot. Water from the tap was brown, no warning from front desk but they knew about it and gave us bottled water when my husband asked for it. Good breakfast options including fresh cooked bacon. I liked the foam mattress bed that is like the one I have at home. We don't see those too often in motels on the road.

The Pool and hot tub were broken they were why we chose to stay at this location, we were not informed that they were not available, the sink and tub water was brown, sticky spot on carpet, the in room coffee pot reservoir was filthy, The Staff was great.

We went to Double Eagle mine outside of Plush, OR and stayed at the Best Western in Lakeview. It was a bit of a drive from the hotel to the mine, but the crew at the Lakeview Best Western made it worth it. The breakfast was great; we had waffles, bacon, eggs, breakfast burritos, cereal and all kinds of juices. The maids were very good and finding out what we wanted/needed in our room as we stayed two nights. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. The rooms were VERY clean and each of them had a refrigerator. The only drawback was parking was filled up by the time we returned from the mines and parking on the street might be your only recourse.

Good stay. By far the best place to stay when traveling to Lakeview. The rooms are always clean and service is always good. The breakfast buffet is usually always good. Internet is fast. I have no complaints.

So on our Oregon adventures, we came into the small town of Lakeview and were blown away with the great service we met, not only at our stay at the Best Western but in the restaurants we ate at. Friendly folks across the board and going the extra mile! We came in late on a Friday night and their parking lot was full, so I went in to see about extra parking. Without blinking a eye the lady behind the counter, went outside and moved her vehicle to give us her spot. Rooms were comfy, a bit on the older side perhaps, but was a great place to catch some shut eye and affordable on the wallet.

I had a great experience during my stay. The welcoming area was clean and the receptionists was polite and professional. My check-in went went smoothly. My room was clean and comfortable and well supplied with towels and soap. The room was also very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. There was fresh scrambled eggs and meat choices and several choices for cold cereal. There was the standard juice choices and the coffee was fresh and hot. The eating area was very clean. I would not hesitate to stay here, again.

Been on the road for several hours and just checked into the BW Skyline Motor Lodge. Was greeted the General Manager, Sherry Ross. What a very nice lady indeed. Check in was flawless. My room is clean and updated. I stayed in a "5 star" hotel in Spokane Valley a few weeks ago that was a dive in comparison. The cookies were a plus and look forward to a good nights sleep and some breakfast in the AM. I would rate this place a 5 star.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel, conveniently located in Lakeview, OR. In fact, I would happily stay there again...clean, quiet, great breakfast and staff. The only problem is the price! Even if you are a BW "rewards" member, and AAA, and book through the BW site, you end up paying north of $170 for a standard room, the going price of which should be nearer to $125. I do not understand why this BW property is is far more expensive that others in that chain. Again, there is nothing wrong with the hotel, it's only the price that disappoints.

As for the prices being a bit high for our area, we are on a yield management system. This means that when our occupancy is in high demand our rates go up and when our occupancy is low demand our rates go down.

This is a motel with an outside entrance where you park by your door.The place is very clean inside and out and the women running it take a lot of pride in their service.Check on and out was a breeze due to not requiring our firstborn as collateral.We were greeted with a genuine smile at check in with bottles of water and fresh cookies!The room was very clean and best of all quiet.Breakfast was probably the best we have ever seen.Everything you can imagine from bottled juices,hot /cold cereals,eggs,bagels,sausage,potatoes,fruits and much more but the difference was the quality and freshness.Hats off to theses women for setting the bar above all their competitors.Even withing the Best Western brand they are putting them all to shame.Thank you for a much needed relaxing and quiet night!

This hotel has amazing staff. The lady at the front desk was phenomenal from check in to check out. She explained their amazing breakfast menu, times, etc. the night before while checking in. She also helped us find the perfect dinner with their local pizza place that delivered directly to our door. The pizza was probably the best we have ever had! Her friendly attitude was such a great start to our visit. We stay in hotels just about every night of the year for business and she this one definitely made it to the top of the list. The beds were a bit hard and less comfortable than others, but the rest of the amazing experience made up for it. The breakfast was amazing and the best out of anywhere we have stayed in the past. It was a hot cooked meal with several options to choose from!

We booked this place at a rate significantly higher than other choices in town because the motel advertises an indoor pool and our kids would have loved it. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and found the sign at the reception telling us that there is no pool. The reception lady told me that it had been out of service for at least two weeks (but maybe it is two months....). This is false advertisement and a borderline fraud. The hotel should change their amenities description on all travel sites. Other than that, it is just an average motel. The carpet is dirty and smelly. Not a good value.

Room was clean, workers polite pool wasn't working small hot tub but nice after a cold days work lots of food for most but if you don't eat pork you might leave hungry no hot chocolate but if you need your caffeine your coverd there

I suppose I would say this was about what I would expect from Lakeview. The staff was friendly, and welcoming. At check-out, she really wanted me to say it was amazing or great or something. While I couldn't quite do that, it was pretty good and I appreciated her enthusiasm, but it was right after I found a clump of hair on my towel. The bed also wasn't comfortable, but everything else was basically fine. This is a perfectly good option in Lakeview. Comparison to others in chain: Average Internet: 26/2, but maybe not consistently usable Breakfast: Still grab and go Room: Small, but who cares Cleanliness: Pretty good, except for clump of hair on the towel Bed: Foam? Might be the pillows, but something made my arms fall asleep quite a bit Bedding: Good Shower: Good Hard water: No, but some sulphur HVAC: Temperature setting off of reality, goes on when it shouldn't Location: Fine Noise: Road noise, Les Schwab noise Staff: Not wearing masks (when legally required), but friendly Cost/Value: Average

This is the third time we have stayed here. Our room on the ground level was VERY clean and everything stocked. Sherry at the front desk was friendly and helpful. She provided rags and a bucket for us to clean our motorcycle. There is a Safeway and Subway within walking distance if you need. Gas station across the street. Comfy bed. Due to COVID they provided a yummy take-away breakfast.

We didn't have reservations. but Colleen at the front desk was very accommodating and got us settled into a double room after we had a horrible experience at another hotel in town. Employees were so friendly and helpful and there was a nice breakfast in the morning.

Ask for room on level and only one available second level and no Elevator. I am handicapped and needed help up the stairs..also only one space for handicapped and needed to park on the street no parking available at hotel

Slow checkin. Room not quite ready. Clock not set, almost empty tissues. Could not get a room without difficult staira for a handicapped wife. They put us in a 2nd floor room near the highway even though reservation made early.

A very expensive room with a poor check in experience that took too long and resulted in my being overcharged. I tried to fix it the following morning and was told the manager would call but never did so. The hotel had a noisy refrigerator, a too bright clock, and too much light coming through the blinds. Morning had noisy trucks idling just outside the windows.

Appears to be an older hotel converted to a BW. Double queens are squeezed into the rooms. A bit costly considering location, however staff & cleanliness were top notch. 1 night double queen was about $140, for this location, I would not have expected over $100.

The water is brown. We were told its city water and there is nothing they can do about it, but its ok to use. We did not want our daughter to bath in it, or brush our teeth using it. We also tried to check out the second day at 1pm without a charge for that day, but were told checkout is at 11. So we had to stay longer than needed for my work.

We have filtering systems on the building but it doesn't help much. As for the late check out we allow up to 12pm, after that we charge for another day. In my notes for your room when you called to see if you could have a late check out you said that you where still 2 hours out so so that would have put you back between 3 to4pm. My first impression of the room was that of old and worn out. I stayed here because I am a BW rewards member. The other motels in town were ~ 50 $ less a night and could not possibly be worse. In all my years @ BW this was the worst. I ran the hot H2O forever and the water never cleared up. I simply did not want to take a shower in excessively rusty/dirty water. The TV/remote was worthless; The furniture should be @ the curb with a "free" sign on it. Plan your trip and stay in Alturas or proceed to Klamath Falls/Bend what have you

The bed was hard, but mostly everything was satisfactory. The sack breakfast was great, fully packed and good.I would stay here again, even though the bed was hard. Its hard to find a hotel with a decent breakfast.

Business trip with 10deg F weather. Room was warm and comfortable. Pool looked good but I forgot to bring a swim shorts. The smoke detector battery went out. Great little package carry out breakfast with hot coffee in the morning before leaving for work.

Staff was not too enthusiastic upon my arrival, as I was walking through a lobby stuffed with boxes and leftover Christmas decoration. My king bed room was somewhat "compact" but equipped with new and contemporary furniture including desk and chair, dresser, fridge with freezer shelf, microwave oven, comfy chair with ottoman and a large flat screen TV. The bath was small but clean and had quick hot water. I had a quiet night, followed by a grab-n-go breakfast including fruit Loop cereal, banana, bottle of water and a nutrition bar. Coffee and milk were available at the breakfast bar.

We do apologize for all the boxes setting in the lobby. We do allow are guest to ship things here. Unfortunately for this guest he shipped everything under his nickname and when we pull the name up it wasn't showing in our reservations. When he made his reservation it was under his legal name and on the shipping label the telephone number was zeroed out so there was no way to contact the guest. Other then that we would have had all the boxes in his room when he arrived and they wouldn't have been stack in our lobby area. Amazing Rooms quality was worth the money , very nice outdoor decor I loved the Japanese Maples and the grab and go breakfast was cute. I'm going back for more wonderful nights of sleep and relaxation in the next few days.

Very nice room considering its size even though the daily rate seemed above average in price ($129 per night including taxes. However, this seems to be the "best" hotel in town and probably can demand such a price.

Needs adult sized toilet replacement... other than that all was well. Lobby was clean. I did not partake in the "Grab-n-go" "breakfast" that was offered... Maybe reduce the price since regular breakfast was not available due to COVID-19.

A quiet, safe, clean place with a friendly staff, and a reasonable price. It's within easy walking distance of most of the downtown area and right off of 395 for easy access. Stayed there while on business trip. The staff was quite accommodating even though in the middle of the pandemic issues. Everyone was safe.

The lady at the front desk was MARVELOUS! I really liked this hotel. The lady at the front desk was beyond helpful. she had an excellent sense of humor and pride in her job. The rooms were very clean. I would go back. Thank you so much

nice and quiet and friendly. quick check in and check out. In the midst of Covid 19 everything felt safe and sanitary. The brown bag breakfast was offered because of the breakfast not being available.

Very clean and comfortable the staff was very accommodating staff, enyed the breakfast options nice and clean , the pool area was enjoyable wish the spa was alittle bit bigger but for the location of this motel it was fine, rooms were clean and nice.The staff was enjoyable and helpful.

Small town full of wonderful people. Manager (sherry) gave directions to variaty of restaurant. Julia 395 (plush west) is the place to go. House keeper alway has a smile and ask if I needed anything extra. Great service. Rooms are clean, memory foam bed, small refrigerator and microwave. At night didn't hear any noise from cars or other guest being my neighbors. For a price of the room in a small town. Giving me a roof over my head. A warm bed to sleep. Pool and jacuzzi to to have fun. And hot breakfast. Best western skyline Is the place to stay.

Has to be a hidden gem in regards to a place to stay while traveling through a remote area of 395. Will just have to go back and experience more of that area. The staff was very helpful and even showed us ways to save money when traveling and using Best Western. Access to parking and rooms was very easy for anyone with a handicap as was the breakfast area. Other services such as fuel and merchandise were handy to the motel. Even though this is an older construction it is well updated and maintained making our stay very memorable. Nice and clean, but rooms are awkward, toilet location and low counters date it. Good location. Slow check in process. Average breakfast. Apple just was mostly water, but fresh cookies available for the road. Probably the best place to stay in Lakeview and good Mexican food next door.

The room has had a lot of attention by the owners with nice furnishings, a good TV (watched an actual movie that didn't have commercials, something getting harder to find at motels lately). The room had new paint and carpet and was very clean. Only traces of the age remain are the small bathroom with a low toilet and bit of parking area noise that comes through the window as folks arrive (quieted down at night). $126 /night, late summer 2019. Yes, still a reasonable value and an easy recommendation.

Room was clean & reasonably priced. Friendly staff, & while we were not traveling with a dog, we have in the past. This motel is pet friendly. Only stopped overnight, as we were on our way to Medford Oregon. Beautiful area, & close to restaurants & town. Good wi-fi & quiet room.

I had asked for a quiet room on the ground floor, and that's exactly what I got. Room amenities included a desk chair with adjustable height and an easy chair with ottoman. The only oddities were a clock-radio that I could not set the time (hence useless) and a toilet mounted extremely low to the floor, making it hard for a tall person to sit and get up. All room functions worked and furnishings and decorum in good repair. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and also a Safeway if you need any supplies. A quiet town once the sidewalks are rolled up at 9 PM. Definitely recommend!

Travelling via motorcycle to Reno. Excellent front desk staff, very efficient. Room was nice and very quiet. I did not try the breakfast as we decided to go to the coffee shop located a block away. Hotel is also close to a great little bar with fantastic steaks. We will be back!

Clean, comfy, reasonably priced. Had cookies, granola bars and coffee in reception area. Super friendly staff. Close to a few restaurants, dollar general, Safeway. Had a nice, clean indoor pool and jacuzzi. The hotel was booked solid and I was surprised how quite it was. Nice shower pressure and good air conditioning. Jessica called our room later to see if we needed anything. I was really impressed by this little hotel and are staying there on our travels home. Oh, plus comfy beds and pillows.

Its not very expensive and a bit out of the way but this hotel is very nice. You get fresh cookies when you check in. Lakeview is a bit off the beaten track but this is a great place to stay. The hotel is clean well maintained and located well.

Lakeview was our destination for a 3-day stay exploring that corner of Oregon, so we wanted a known hotel/motel. BW Skyline was the right choice: fast/reliable wi-fi, cordial staff, modest but fulfilling breakfast for a day of rock collecting/sightseeing, yummy cookies and snack bars in the lobby, clean rooms, pool/hot tub, complimentary bottled water and bag of chips in room. We'd absolutely stay there again.

we travel to eastern oregon to collect sunstone, jaspers and hike every summer for our jewelry business. After being out in hot sun digging,we come back to the Best Western to relax and rejuvenate for the next. day of work. the beds are comfortable, we can cool off in the pool,, and breakfast is good.

The motel is an older motor inn style motel, with does that open onto a parking courtyard. The entire interior of the rooms and lobby, breakfast area has been completely updated and is very comfortable. Kids will enjoy the pool as well.

Excellent place to stay! Great service, friendly staff and great room. I loved the memory foam firm bed, the towels and free Wi-Fi. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool but food and tourist attractions were within walking distance. Excellent breakfast and a cappuccino machine all complimentary. Enjoy a yummy cookie upon arrival and be sure to check it out when your in Lakeview.

Asked me for ID and credit card upon check-in. When I gave her my military ID and credit card, she tossed it back at me and asked me for a "real" ID. Another worker and several guests were also dropping the "F" bomb in the lobby area.

Even though military id are considered valid id we also ask for another form of id, so we can verify the address we have on file with your reservations. As for other guest dropping the "F" bomb as you put it. I'm not seeing it, I'm not saying it didn't happen and I'm not saying it did happen, I just saying I'm not seeing it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a nice choice of fresh cookies at check-in. Nice beds, quiet location, excellent breakfast. The room looked newly decorated and was spotlessly clean.

The Best Western doesn't look like too much from the outside, but surprising the rooms were nice. They provide a bag of chips and bottle of water inside the room. In the Lobby they have cookies and breakfast bars and seem to keep those stocked, however the breakfast wasn't that great of an experience. There were 5 of us and most had to wait for food to be cooked, the gal at the front desk wasn't too friendly and said it was cooking, however, you could see back there and a gal came in with grocery bags and they started cooking. They had run out of food and rather than say it would be 15-20 minutes, they just made it up.

Ok first we didn't run out of food, the food was cooking and what was in the bags was fruit that we run out of. So before you go online and make us look like liars. You need to know what your talking about and not just assume. If your that disappointed with our hotel, there are other options we fill free to stay at one.

I had four excellent nights at the Lakeview Best Western. The room was clean and ready upon my arrival. Daily housekeeping was exceptional too. Staff helped me right away with a slight problem. I had breakfast each morning and it was delicious. More food options than I needed, but they all looked good.

Not sure why the low score when in his own words, he said he had for excellent nights with us. Confused Owner, Manager and Hotel Staff.

Room clean, excellent breakfast for motel, walk to everything downtown. Liked towel rack over sink counter. Upholstered chair dirty, put bath towel over it to sit in it. Remainder of room clean and up-to-date. Toilet too low, water in it too high, a bit uncomfortable. Faucet lever in shower quite loose, but didn't fall off. All told, I'll stay there next trip.

My experience was very good. Room was very clean and quiet. The location was easy to find. Parking was adequate, the pool was clean and all the help were very friendly. Breakfast was about what you would expect.

We decided to stay in a motel after 2 cold days of camping. They had rooms available at a not too unreasonable price, and BW has a hot breakfast. That saves a bit of money. The room was a bit small, just plastic and paper cups. The room coffee was not drinkable. The breakfast was just OK. The eggs were a bit greasy, but the coffee there was better. There is a front loading guest laundry available. $1/ wash, $1.75 to dry. It was very convenient to our room too. Les Schwab is right behind the hotel, they started about 7AM. We are early risers so no problem. If you want to sleep in you might look elsewhere.

The BW in Lakeview, Oregon is small compared to most Best Westerns, but Lakeview is a small community in the Oregon Outback as well. This BW has a comparable breakfast to other BW but I do like the fact they make their eggs with real cracked eggs instead of heating them up out of a plastic bag I've seen other BW's do. In addition they also offer free cookies and Nature Valley Bars with multiple flavor in lobby. The staff is nice, and the hotel is the most modern, most comfortable, and cleanest hotel out of the few hotels in town! The only downside is that in the indoor swimming pool area is that the hot tub is broken and has not been fixed for sometime. But yet again I believe it's the only hotel in town that has a swimming pool to begin with.

Clean straight forward motel located within an easy walk of town. Quiet second floor end room. Comfortable bed. Good hot breakfast. Everything you want in a quick over night before hitting the road again.

We stayed here with a group. We all had similar complaints. We were all pretty upset when we got there and found out the jacuzzi was out of order. Especially after spending 8 hours in the car. When we entered our rooms they were all 60 degrees or colder. How welcoming. Figured we could sit in the pool room to stay warm while some of our people swam. Not the case. Only 64 degrees in that room. The beds only have 2 woven bedspreads and no extra linens. When I asked for a blanket at the front desk she brought me another woven blanket. Not sure if this is standard now with Best Western? They are horrible. Not cozy and very heavy. And this is probably a city problem, but don't be surprised when your water is yellow. Breakfast was decent but coffee was subpar and barely drinkable. No half and half, just non-dairy creamer and the stuff with sugar and chemicals. For me the saving grace was the bed. It is a memory foam so very firm! I slept great but my husband did not.

We apologize for any inconvenience that you may have incurred during your stay with us, we take priding in our customer service. As far as the Jacuzzi being out order, this is posted on our Best Western website, so this should have been no surprise when you arrived at our property, although the Jacuzzi was out of order the pool in operation. As far as the heaters being on at 60 degrees is because a lot of guest don't like the extreme heat when they walk in to a room, therefore the guest can turn the heat up to their preference. As for the 1/2 and 1/2 for the coffee, just because it's not out doesn't mean we don't have it on the premises, all/s you had to do is ask for it.

Very friendly staff. Clean & comfortable rooms. Cookies and granola bars on arrival in lobby. Breakfast has gluten free and dairy free options! I was very impressed. Lakeview was not necessarily the spot I'd be the most impressed with a hotel and if far exceeded my expectations. My husband travels extensively for work and said he has never seen GF and DF options at any other hotels. I loved it.

We were on our way to Nevada, it got dark and we needed to get off the snowy roads. Trip advisor listed a number or hotels and we chose this one. Bingo! Room was less than the price on the website. Nice clean rooms with frig and microwave. Friendly check in. Cookies. Quiet. Water and chips in the room. And the breakfast was really good. The highlight was the "breakfast lady" . She cooked and served and was constantly cleaning up our messes. All with a smile. I tried to compliment her on best western site but couldn't find a comment area. We will stay here again. I really dislike memory foam mattresses but everything else was great.

Only 1 other place to consider staying really. But it feels like a retirement home setting. This place is still the best value with an amazing high quality breakfast considering value of rooms. The beds are memory foam and pretty hard for our liking :)

We have been staying here for 20 years. This was the worst experience ever. Dirty, broken and unpleasant and an unhelpful staff for the most part. This does not live up to Best Western standards and we wish there was another Best Western choice.

You mentioned that the microwave, alarm clock didn't work, and also that the there was broken towel racks in this room. As we inspected this room when you check out, the alarm clock and the microwave was in perfect working order and we seen no signs of any broken towel racks.

After a full day in the area, doing Lava Beds National Monument and surrounding area, we were very pleased with our stay here. Very clean and big rooms. Be sure you have a reservation - it was packed with workers. Not sure what type of workers but sure glad we did have a reservation. Breakfast was great. Great value for price.

Upon check-in the receptionist was very unfriendly. First morning the breakfast was out of most items. We used points for our stay and they still put the charges on my credit card as pending, they came off eventually but it held up available funds for almost a week. I called about it and was told too bad, that's the way the computer does it.

Great Stay 4 Day Visit to Lakeview If you are looking for comfy quiet area with nearby food gas and food delivery right to your room door. This is the BEST place to stay if you want to just explore the area. For those who like Rock Hounding this hotel is 2 hours from the royal peacock opal mine (Fee Dig) and an hour and a half from the public sun stone collection area (Free) The Sights and area is not far from the photos posted below. If you stay in lakeview stay here good shower and tub GREAT TV channel selection is better than some of the 5 diamond hotels I have visited that charge you $400 + a night. WiFi is also very good. The Breakfast is free, even though I didn't take advantage of that because I left every morning prior to the start of breakfast. I will be back to this location and I will be revisiting areas that I went to see while I was there. And if there are any Pokémon Go players there is a huge world spawn at the hotel hahaha just go players. Thank you to all the staff at this Best Western Motor Lodge, Enjoy The Stay and I Hope You Take My Advise if it's a few dollars more than a hotel down the street SPEND IT !!! You have to look a bit closer but you will find things at this hotel that you won't find at most other best westerns, even (or especially) the Plus brand. For example: extra cookies and bars at check in, not cereal, almond milk, hot breakfast bun, fruit, and water and chips in the room. They followed all the regular guidelines unlike 5 other BW I have stayed at in the past week. Oh, and the bed was the best of the bunch too. Its a small older hotel but you can easily tell that management cares!

Have never stayed at a motel that had memory foam mattress. Actually have always wanted to sleep on one but now that I had the experience I would never buy one. We had the most uncomfortable nights sleep. The mattress was not a cheap mattress it was a name brand, probably memory foam isn't for us. With that said everything else about the hotel was okay. Room was clean, breakfast was very good. The lady at check in was very nice. The reason for three star was the mattress. If you like memory foam mattress's this is the place for you. Unfortunately we will never stay here again.

I was quoted an amount for a night for my reservation. On check out I was charged more for the second night. I was told this was because it was different day??? I was the only person in the room yet my invoice showed 2 quests which raised hell with my wife when I got home. I was told it did not effect the rate????

From the moment Sherry checked us in, we knew we were in for a good stay with good amenities. We found a refreshing bottled water and a big of chips to welcome us to our room which smelled fresh and air conditioning was already bringing temps down to comfortable levels. We know what to expect at a Best Western but we are always pleased when each establishment lives up to its fame. We made a quick visit to the "gym" and did a short workout and then Sherry even referred us to a newer restaurant in town which provided us with a super dinner.

Rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. We had to wait a bit to get checked in due to another customer but the clerk was friendly. In the summer the minerals in the water turn the water a slightly tinted color but hotel provided bottled water to drink. Breakfast was enjoyable with a wide selection of items including real scrambled eggs. After traveling for a week it was a nice touch. Room was ready upon check in including the air conditioner already being on when we got to the room which was very nice so we didn't have to wait for it to cool down . Beds were comfy! It was nice to see the Best Western sign out in the middle of nowhere!

Just like most Best Westerns this hotel is well kept, clean, updated with that really well done modest breakfast. It makes a quick meal fast to get back on the road possible. Good room with a big screen TV, comfortable bed and pillows. Room was very clean and set up well with a desk/office chair and good lighting and lots of charging plugs. I like the fresh cookies and coffee at check in. Staff is friendly and quick to take care of your needs. Hot tub is broken and I could of used it for my stays. The indoor pool was not heated and rather cold for me. Good places to eat within walking distance.

This is an older motel but has been updated and very comfortable rooms. Internet worked very well. Also like the shampoo, conditioner and lotion. They really smelled good. Breakfast had normal things like cereal, yogurt, breads and the egg were fresh-cooked right there. Bed was very confortable.

Good clean basic motel. Center of town, lot of close options to walk to dinner. On this trip i was disappointed in the reservations. Ten days prior, four rooms reserved for four men. It is hard for me to believe they couldn't have held four basic single rooms, of at least given us the single bed rates. three different room types for the four of us. King for an up charge, i had two queens for up charge. 155 a night for a night in LAKEVIEW is high, especialy for at best a ** MOTEL

I must say I'm not too impressed with any of the Lakeview hotels. But the Best Western makes a real effort and it shows. The exterior is typical old style hallway on the outside with room doors. The interiors of the rooms have been modernized and look great. Everything functions, good TV, fairly good WIFI (a bit slow). They have to apologize for the crummy water in Lakeview - but left bottled water in the room to compensate. Comfortable bed, not too noisy, good working AC, fridge, microwave and coffee in the room. Typical breakfast next to the lobby but the food was hot and fresh and I enjoyed a waffle, scrambled eggs and sausage. Would definitely come back here.

This is a new and welcome stop on a long drive with few resources for lodging. Room was clean and quiet. Pool was cool and not heavily used, good for on-the-road rehab for a senior citizen with a new knee. Breakfast scrambled eggs prepared on site was an added bonus. Thank you!

Got a last minute reservation and definitely picked the right place. Clean room, an indoor pool, and better than most breakfast included. They also offered bags of chips and bottled water as well as snack bars. I would definitely stay here again.

Ordinarily we don't stay at Best Western Hotels. This one, however, is an exception. It appears to appeal to lots of other people too since the parking lot was full. The room was very nice and included an explanation of the color of the water. Bottled water was left in the room by management. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast room was a bit crowded and one of the tables was spread with papers etc. so it couldn't be used. Breakfast was plentiful and had variety. We just grab coffee and took off. Yes we would stay there again even though we thought the price for a king bed was a little high.

This is an older facility, that has been remodelled. The lobby is small, as one would expect in a location originally built in the 50's or so. We found the price to be quite expensive compared to any other stays during this trip, many with much better and newer facilities, located in true resort areas. This was as expensive, if not more so, than many Best Western Plus properties. The rate also increased by 5% suddenly upon our check in - something about a 'city tax' that had been applied the week before. The bed is a memory foam - not being familiar with this, we found it far too soft, and quite hot to sleep on; it is something I will certainly watch for an avoid in future. We also had a few problems/issues with our room, detected after we had settled in for the night. One was a very strong, intensely offensive odor on the window-side of the bed; another was a very, very low toilet - between 12" and 13" - unsuitable for commercial purposes, in my opinion. Lastly, we could not figure out how to alter the time on the in-room clock; it was quite complex. The time was out by about 3 hours - not a major problem in itself... until the alarm sounded at 3:30 in the morning (which we couldn't figure out how to turn off). The Front Desk was made aware of both the odor and alarm clock upon check out. Regretfully can not say we would stay here again - this is the only site this entire trip we have felt this way about. We had not expected a lot; but were disappointed.

Traveling a lot for business, it isn't always easy to find a nice quiet place to sleep in small towns. This hotel was great-clean, quiet, friendly and a great night's sleep! Bed was quite comfortable.

We like to use the pool and spa it was disapointing the spa was broken down due to a pump. They really need a night bell for the lobby at night But the temprapedic beds are the best anywhere. Pricing is pretty high

We do apologize for the Jacuzzi jet not working right, but the water was still hot and it was still relaxing to set in and the pool was up and running. We still had a hot breakfast, refrigerator, microwave, blow dryer, free wifi, coffee makers and 32" flat screen Television in all rooms. We don't have a night bell but we do have a sincere, all you have to do is walk in front of it and it rings a bell in the back.

The room was large and comfortable. Warm inside for a cold day. A little more than I usually pay for a motel but reviews were good. The water was a little brown but there was bottled water in room for the slight inconvenience. Was given an upstairs room but I asked if I could have a downstairs, no problem for the change.

I stay here weekly for business and have never had a bad experience. Great friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Pool and jacuzzi. Also in short walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Lakeview.

I was extremely impressed with the presentation of the hotel. The outside, office area, and breakfast area were clean, straightened, and fully presentable...rivaled higher end hotels that I've stayed in before! We have stayed at many Best Western Motels and this one was one of the better ones. It is in a quiet location and everything was up to snuff. The mattress was a memory foam one which I wasn't sure about but actually was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best of our 4 recent BW stays. Overall, no complaints.

This Best Western is a very nice hotel, well maintained and attractive, and especially with the AAA discount, is a very affordable option. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Lakeview!! There's a good Mexican restaurant right around the corner (the chicken enchiladas were excellent) and the morning breakfast buffet was very nice.

I always enjoy my stay at this location not only are the rooms very clean but the staff is very friendly and eager to help. I will always stay at this hotel whenever I am in town Bar None it is the best hotel in town

The rooms were very comfortable. The staff are friendly. However very hard to get a room with a single bed. Seems like this motel is always booked even during the weekdays. Makes it hard when I travel for work in this region.

Modest sized room in a modest sized cowboy town. Our room was clean and bright with lots of amenities and good coffee. Memory foam bed for those who like that sort of thing. At $117 not a bad deal with AAA. Desk people were efficient even if robotic. The manager is obviously proud of this place and it shows. Manager- when you are talking to town mayor get him/her to spend a little money on the sidewalks - trimming the plum trees and resurfacing sidewalks around town. They look like they haven't been redone since founding in 1888. I know cowboys don't like to walk much but we visitors do and the sidewalks around town are not great.

There were 4 adults and 2 toddlers in our party and we shared a 2 room suite. It was well equipped an had plenty of supplies for all of us. We all really enjoyed our stay and had a good experiance. The pool was a little cool, but overall a nice time.

This BW property is pretty good, considering it is older. It was clean and has been well-maintained, but has not particularly been updated (although their internet was quite fast). Our experience at check-in was not great, as we were given a rate other than what we booked and ultimately we were double-charged for the room, all of which took some undoing. However, we had a good stay there. The bedding was comfortable, the room was quiet and the breakfast was very good, with hot and cold foods offered. Of special note was the attendant in the breakfast room, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful...thanks!

Our last night on the road and Lakeview OR is such a great little farm town. Beautiful ranches all around. However, the Best Western had a couple small problems that center around it's older construction. The bathroom is too small. It is difficult for anyone but a little kid to close the door when you are inside as you have to step around the toilet. The door misses the toilet by a couple inches. It's equally difficult getting out of the tub/shower. Cramped quarters and the curtain bar is so low (I) hit my head. The good things: Great heating cooling system, quiet and lets you sleep. The bed was good and the room was clean. The TV was fine. Breakfast was good and we had lots of room. Our second floor room was quiet. Down the hallway were several little kids who had just come from the pool building. I could tell by their excitement that they had had a wonderful time in the pool. But, the room was quiet. We'll stop again.

This is a decent hotel for the location but they neglected to tell us the hot tub was out when we made a reservation and it was still out 12 days later. I don't think they were even trying to get it fixed from what I was told by someone on the phone. There are some log truck drivers that use this hotel and the room we were in (118) has about an inch and a half gap under the front door so when one of those trucks started up at 3 in the morning and ran for almost an hour it was hard to sleep. Other than that everything was clean and worked properly.

We were taking a break from camping and needed to regroup and get ready for the second part of our trip. It seemed like the best hotel in town that would accommodate our dogs. It was a very comfortable, clean, convenient stay. Nice front desk clerk.

We occasionally travel to Lakeview and have stayed at 3 other hotels. This Best Western is the best hotel in this rural area. It's not always available, so recommend reservations. The room had a microwave, TV, ironing board, hair dryer, easy internet access, small coffee pot, hot yummy breakfast bar with just about anything you would want (favorite is the fresh Belgian Waffle) - really nice staff at the breakfast who was always attentive and not just refilling the breakfast bar), hot water (LOL - won't reveal which place did't have hot water initially) - not all of these are available at other hotels in the area.

Great hotel with recently renovated rooms and lobby. Great breakfast selection each morning with friendly staffed attendant. Lakeview, OR is a small community and the hotel located conveniently right off the main drag, within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The water from all the faucets was stained brown - fairly disgusting. The furniture and carpet were stained. I have stayed at this hotel before without issue, but it only takes one experience like this to have me looking at other options.

Very friendly staff at desk, although not very efficient - registration took way too long. But room was first class, price a bit too high, really, even after a discount was achieved, but that's Best Western.

This is probably the best accommodation option for the Lakeview OR area. It had all of the amenities one would want, particularly when looking for a place to relax, catch up on email and do your laundry, before moving on in your travels.

Excellent hotel in rural Oregon. Stoped through on my trip from Moab, Utah to the Redwood forest. Very clean. Memory foam mattress. The air conditioner was a window unit, and kinda loud but kept the room comfortable. Clean and quite.

We were trying to escape the smoke from the fires in SW Oregon and Lakeview looked clear. We called ahead and were told there were no rooms available but had to get out of town anyways. We stopped in to see if there were rooms.. the 1st woman said yes.. only... two beds on 2nd level. I requested a bottom floor (because husband is partially handicap). We drove away to find another.. couldn't and returned. A new woman was at the desk and she gave us a bottom floor room. The room was fantastic.. the beds are great, it's clean and modern.. flat screens and internet is perfect. I would say the best place to stay in Lakeview.

My family goes to Lakeview for business often and we always stay here. The rooms are extreamly clean and beds are comfortable. Only thing I wish was a bit better is that the staff be trained to deal with customers better. They don't seem to have the personality to deal with customers. I have never felt comfortable dealing with the front dest booking a room, checking in or out. They always seem preocupied with alot going on for one person. But for the rooms they are fantastic . So if you don't mind not so friendly front dest help this place is great.

This motel is about the only one in Lakeview OR that I would stay;; in . Love the AM breakfast, service and great staff that I encountered with some questions. Like the computer to use in the lobby. While it was an older BW, it was clean and the facilities were in good working order. This is a small town out in the East OR dessert area, but scenic territory and lots of cattle ranches.

With just a little effort in organizing the breakfast presentation and operation, the breakfast experience good be very good. The king size bed lacked the comfort that one expects in a Best Western, it was not bad, but not very good either.

This motel is probably the best for Lakeview. The room was quiet, food was fine, and the beds were comfortable. If we come to Lakeview again, we will stay there. We did not use the pool so can not comment on that area.

Well this being one of the only choices in town I really can't give it a too bad of a review except to say that there was less brown water in the toilet after I made a bowl movement compared to the "clean water" that came out of the shower. The water was a dingy brown out of the faucet!! What the heck Best Western!! I have family that lives here and their water does not look like that at all! So if you are okay with not showering then this is your place otherwise look somewhere else. Also, the mattresses are really uncomfortable and the sheets gave us a rash that I'm assuming was from the detergent used but then again it's a Best Western in a small town so I wouldn't expect anything else.

Thanks for taking the time to fill out a survey for our property. The city water has a lot of iron and magnesium in it. That's what give it the brownish yellowish tent. In the summer time when the water level drops that's when the water is worse with its discoloration. The city of Lakeview flushes the lines out at least twice a year. They do this through the fire hydrants. They do this to break the minerals up that are in the water. We do apologize for the water. If you have any other concerns with our water you can call the town of Lakeview at 541-947-2020. They have an official report on file of our town water. We thank you again we appreciate all comments. This is a standard motel. It was comfortable, clean, and convenient for an overnight stay. We often stay here on our way to Montana from No. California. There are several good choices for breakfast. We really appreciate that the motel accepts dogs, for a fee, of course!

It's the best hotel in Lake county. Good breakfast. The pool was well maintained. The rooms are clear. Very good mattress and pillows. The hotel is within walking distance of Safeway, the bar (Eagles nest), the Chinese place, and the Mexican cafe. It's a little bit spendy, but much nicer than other hotels in Lakeview.

A small motel but we loved our room, which was next to the main road but very quiet. The shower was hot, the bed was very comfy and there was enough coffee and toiletries. The room was clean. We left as happy campers. By the way, we did not have the free continental breakfast so I cannot comment. This is a place where you simply cannot just a "book by its cover."

So disappointed with this place. Didn't have all the breakfast items for multiple days and no one mentioned the water is yellow. Only one staff member was actually pleasant. Every one else was rude and annoyed.

Our breakfast is kept stocked during breakfast hours. Our breakfast hours are from 6am to 9am. Our city water has a lot of iron and magnesium and that's what gives it the brownish and yellowish tent. We apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experience during your stay with us. We take pride in our customer service.

Staff is very friendly made it in easy check in and then easy check out enjoy their attitude the beds were comfortable just make sure you bring your own water they supply you with one bottle but the Lakeview System is not very good so bring your own breakfast was good and again I enjoy the people there .

One reason I am with the BW rewards program: Locations. BW services the small out of the way locations as well as the cities and tourist spots. I appreciate that since my travels often takes me through the rural areas.

We drove from Reno to this hotel on our way to Walla Walla, Wa. Our room was clean, great memory form mattress. Had dinner at a local hamburger restaurant that they recommended. Very good. Breakfast was tasty and we were on our way.

Very small town, motel was the best in the town. Breakfast was every good with waffles, eggs, sausage and cereal. It's an old motel that has been remodeled. The rooms are small but comfortable with a tube and shower combination

We stayed at this motel last week on our way home to Utah from the Oregon coast. The room was spotless and looked like it had been recently remodeled, as everything seemed so new and fresh. The bathroom is tiny but that's not too big a deal, and it was very clean with separate vanity and sink outside. Lots of outlets for charging our devices. The mattresses are memory foam and we found them very comfortable. Didn't have much noise from other rooms, just from outside walkways and stairs. Breakfast was delicious, even though we arrived during the last half hour it was being served. We enjoyed waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal and even French toast!! Delicious cookies were available in the front lobby. Air conditioner worked well. A few issues. I had canceled a reservation other family members didn't want on booking.com the previous day. Before arrival, my brother-in-law called to say they were still showing that extra reservation for us. I had to present my cancellation confirmation email, and had the impression that I would definitely have been charged without it. That reception didn't feel very friendly after a long driving day, although I understand there may have been a glitch on their system or on booking.com. and they needed to see what happened. Also, family members had requested rooms next to ours, months ago when reserving, and no attempt was made to honor that. We were on opposite ends of the motel, even though the reservations we ended up using were made directly through the motel. Third, the pool was being painted. This was half the reason we reserved here, as our kids look forward to a fun swim after a long drive. I get that maintenance must be done, but a sincere apology would have been nice, considering that people book based on amenities listed. When I mentioned that this was a big reason for booking, and our disappointment, to the front desk clerk, no apology whatsoever was offered. Kind words go a long way. However, I looked in on the pool and it seemed very nice, for next time. But I will call ahead to see if it's open! Finally, the blackout drapes let in a lot of light from the top, mounted too far from the wall, and the valance didn't block that top light. I have a hard time sleeping with that much light coming in. All things considered, we plan on staying again and give this motel a great rating because of the spotless, updated rooms, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast, and hopefully an open pool next time. I can accept the front desk issues, none of us are perfect. Other motels in the town also look quite iffy to me, and this is a natural stopping point for us.

The front desk woman was very nice when we wanted to leave. It's not her fault that the owner doesn't want to invest money into remodeling the severely outdated rooms! DO NOT believe the pics on the website for this motel. We've been traveling ALOT and most of the Best Westerns I have seen are outdated. I'm sure all the staff is nice but this is ridiculous! If you're traveling with family especially kids find somewhere else better to stay rather than old, musty smelling, outdated, stinky, ridiculous Best Westerns. You should see the ones in Eureka, California! They are worse!!!

Sorry you feel this way. We are in the process of redoing our rooms. It will be done by the end of 2018.

Hotel was not very clean. The door lock didn't work. The decor is very outdated and looks dirty. There wasn't enough parking so we had to park on a different block and walk with all of our luggage. Wouldn't recommend it.

Very nice place clean and staff was very friendly. Not a bad value the owner talked about what Best Western is planning. We would stay in this hotel again without a doubt. Breakfast could be improved with more fruit and cereals. Get diddefert yogurt

This older motel style property was a breath of fresh air. Clean property. Room have been rem9dled with new carpet, furnishings and memory foam bed. Reasonable rate for a nice clean updated room. Would recommend.

Don't try the other ones if you can help it! We have stayed at there competitors and it was NOT GOOD, but we just didn't know any better trying to save a few $$. Was not worth it, they were very dated and down right unsanitary / dirty / bugs-spiders, etc...

Probably the best Hotel/Motel in Lakeview, so it wins by default. No complaints, no commendations. The location is within walking distance to the down town area and across the street from Les Schwab Tires, in case you need tires.

Had a nice stay here. The room, lobby, breakfast were all very clean. Appreciated the sanitized tv remote. It was also nice that the staff had the AC in the room running, gave us a nice cool room after a hot day on the road. The complimentary breakfast was also quite good, with staff very interested in our satisfaction. We were asked twice if staff could get us anything. That's a nice thing, considering those are usually self serve breakfasts. The only negative is something the staff and hotel can't easily control, very loud guests hanging out on the balconies talking late at night when others are trying to sleep. I would definitely stay here again!

The Best Western in Lakeview is a nice clean motel Breakfast was acceptable. Keep expectations in check and you won't be dissatisfied. Clean room. Also, don't expect to actually have a view of any lake in Lakeview.

Great stay, restful night. The suite was roomy and comfortable. It was clean and served our needs. Two things would have made it a five star stay...an elevator to help bring luggage to second floor and a hide-away bed.

Beautiful hotel in a great small town in the Oregon Outback, 15 miles from the California state line and 50 from Nevada! Inside and out, it's obvious that although this is an older property, it has been thoroughly and wonderfully remodeled and looks brand new. We had a King bed room, including an easy chair w/ottoman, writing table w/office chair, great a/c, a good number of DirecTV channels, a flat screen TV, everything was spotless and the TV remote was in a sanitary bag. There are four lamps in the room so there was plenty of light, as well as overhead lights above vanity and easy chair. This is easily the best lit room that we've had in our travels – which is important for older folks like us. We stayed at the back of hotel on 1st floor with no street noise and we didn't hear any neighbors either. The sheets were clean and the memory-foam-top bed very comfortable. The four pillows were standard size in ‘soft' and ‘firm'. There was a clock radio on nightstand, and the two wall lamps had one power outlet each and the two table lamps had two outlets each. There were also two outlets in the vanity area. There was an abundance of toiletries including the usual items plus a makeup remover pad. There was a carafe coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea options, condiments and plastic cups sealed in plastic. In addition, there was a bottle of water and bag of Doritos on the vanity! The vanity area was set up very well with plenty of room for our personal items, the iron and ironing board were mounted on the wall, as was the hair dryer, and the storage shelf/clothes hanging rack was high enough to hang the longest clothes without touching the ground. There were also two suitcase stands! There was a curved shower rod, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The ice machine near the office had plenty of ice. There are cookies and coffee in the lobby, the business center and a nice sitting area with a TV. The breakfast area also had a TV but because they are in separate rooms, each TV can be tuned in to different stations without conflicting with each other. The free Wi-Fi is fast. Brenda takes care of the breakfast area and she is awesome! She scrambles the eggs and makes the outstanding breakfast burritos, takes care of the entire breakfast area and is very conscientious about the guests having everything they need. There's a waffle maker, the freshly scrambled eggs and sausage, handmade ham, egg and cheese breakfast burritos, three kinds of dry cereal and milk, hot oatmeal, yogurt, boiled eggs, muffins, bread for toast, apples, oranges and bananas, regular and decaf coffee with sugar and two kinds of sugar substitutes, real half and half, several different kinds of individual creamers, orange, apple and cranberry cocktail juice, a toaster and microwave. Breakfast hours are 6-9 am. The great down-home weekly newspaper, Lake County Examiner, has all the local news, a Sudoku and crossword puzzle. The indoor pool is a nice size, not too small, and the spa is something else! It's set at bath temperature, nice and warm, and fits 4-5 adults. The spa is also very deep in the center, probably 4 feet deep, so I wouldn't recommend children using it. The guest laundry room contains a washer and dryer with a table for folding clothes. There are a lot of excellent places to eat nearby (we recommend Burger Queen and Mario's Dinner House), a Safeway grocery store next door and a True Value Hardware nearby. An interesting thing happened when I checked in. (By the way, check-in is at noon). I put several items from my purse on the counter, including a small wallet I keep cash in. There is no ID in it so there's no way to return it to me if it gets lost – like it did. I didn't even notice it was missing but when we went back to the front desk to ask a question, Sherry asked if it was mine and gave it back! Oh my, how wonderful! That just made my year!!! Between Sherry, Brenda, Jessica, the housekeeping staff and maintenance crew, it's outstanding how the staff takes care of the guests here!

The pool was enjoyable and the breakfast was great. Our overnight stay was using two room due to the size of our party, The rooms were side by side, ground floor and easy parking. We thank the staff for their business manor, quick and easy sign up and in.

The hospitality was great and we arrived so very late/early about 3-3:30 AM. I felt for the representative that had to get up to help us, but we are very grateful. If we are ever in the area again, we will stay here.

I appreciate that this is one of the only hotels in the area, however I had a prebooked room with the hotel for about 2 months. Upon arriving I asked if it was possible to get a double bed room as I had 2 small children with me. The receptionist said she had a room available but would not provide a military discount if we took that room instead. The hote did accommodate us with extra blankets and pillows for floor mats for our kids, but I was pretty frustrated at the behavior of the receptionist. The "heated" pool was freezing and filthy Thankful for free breakfast before we were on our way the next day.

The most memorable aspect of our stay was the snow and 30 degree morning. Brrrrr. The motel was clean and comfortable, the staff competent, and the scrambled eggs were actually prepared on site as needed.

There isn't much to choose from in lodging around Lakeview, so other than in winter when travel is down it is a good idea to obtain a reservation to avoid disappointment and a long drive to find a place to stay. When we stayed last summer the place was undergoing exterior renovation, which suggests it is kept up well. We found it comfortable, clean, and welcome in such a remote corner of Oregon. Again, in travel months don't plan a stay-over in Lakeview without reservations.

This is our 3rd visit to this BW in as many years. It's our "go-to" hotel when driving from Oregon to NE Nevada. Our room has always been spacious and functionally furnished. We travel with our dog and never had a problem . Have only used the pool and spa once and it was a good experience. On site laundry is handy and clean as well.

The room was very clean as well as good size. We were welcomed by fresh baked cookies when we entered the lobby to check in. We were greeted, given wifi info, keys and info about the breakfast. The breakfast was fresh cooked... not just reheated. This was the end of our trip and we were not dissapointed.

The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. The hotel needs renovations. They need to enforce the pool rules. The room was not clean. The staff and breakfast were both nice, but if you can drive through and make it to Klamath falls, you will be much better off.

I don't what room you were in but we have didn't bed types in different rooms! Rooms are clean everyday and check by the head housekeeper. Our pool hours are from 7am to 10pm everyday. Our breakfast is from 6 am to 9am everyday.

When checking in was greeted by a very friendly and warmth caring young lady. Right away offered us cookies. Very helpful and honest when asked about places to eat. Overall great reception. The rooms are very clean and no problems logging in to the internet. Very quiet area.

Great location with plenty of places within walking distance. This is an older motel that has been remodeled. Friendly staff, clean room, nice beds, minimal noise, and the breakfast area was neat. There were less expensive motels in the area but they did not allow pets. They do charge a pet fee.

Very few hotels in Lakeview and we arrived late in the day. This is one of those old, remodeled Best Westerns. Bathroom was very small and furniture was mismatched. There was a painter's trailer full of equipment parked right outside our door. We could hear the painter banging around all evening securing his equipment for the night, until about 9:30 pm. As my husband is disabled he requires a shower chair. Not one shower chair on site, not what you would expect at a Best Western. The staff did try very hard to find a substitute chair. The mattress was a dream and we slept well. We felt the price was high for the age of the hotel. In a pinch, we would stay here again.

Enjoyed the new, great beds. I would have slept even better if I didn't have to get up every few hours to try to adjust the heating system. Apparently the thermostat on the heating unit is overridden by a hard to see wall thermostat. I mentioned to the desk person at checkout that there should be a sign explaining this and she agreed to get it done. Other than that, a nice BW, decent breakfast, quiet location. A good choice.

It seems like everytime I stay at the property the Quality of Service and Amenities Improve a lot. Really impressed with the continued improvements and recommend that you consider Best Western Skyline Motor Lodge in Lakeview on your next trip to Southern Oregon. We had an excellent room! If staying here one should ask for the room on the first floor at the very end of the building facing the main street...it was much larger than any of the other rooms we saw. The room was extremely clean with refrigerator and microwave. Pets are alowed for a fee...there is wi-fi. This is a motel where one can park right in front of their room---unpacking is so much easier that way! They have a very nice breakfast. There is a Mexican restaurant less than one block away.

Stayed at the Best Western Skyline Motor Lodge, Lakeview, OR at the end of our 2 week Oregon Road Trip. Was pleasantly surprised at the warm greeting we got from the staff when we arrived. Lots of road construction going on in the area, so lots of construction workers staying there. A very nice, reasonably priced room. Had a great breakfast before we left for California. Will stay there again and eat at Mario's Steakhouse (which the manager of the motel recommended) again when we're in the area.

Had never been to Lakeview before. Enjoyed being there. The hotel was good. A nice room. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of plug ins. The only complaint I would have is they were painting the building and all the worker were staying there. They started early. I understand. Just bad timing for us. The breakfast was very good. French toast with berry syrup, eggs and smoked sausage. I'd stay here again!

We stayed here during our roadtrip to Yellowstone. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well laid out. Cookies and granola bars for guests, what a nice suprise. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

Best Western Lakeview: Motel location is excellent. The exterior is retro, no indoor corridors, parking by your door, all of which makes it look mom-and-popish. But the rooms are nice, and clean. Water is hot enough, sheets are clean, wifi is 5/5. My room (149) was well laid out. The breakfast area has two TV sets, tuned to different channels, far enough apart that you can choose which one you want to be annoyed by. Negatives: The walls are thin and all rooms face the parking area. The clientele is a morning crowd, so expect noise from 7AM on. Value 5/5. Wifi 5/5.

I probably would have given it a very good rating but they are in the midst of painting the exterior so when we showed up the windows were wrapped, parking was limited, and you couldn't use one of the stairwells. The workers were finished before nightfall so not that big of a deal except for parking. If we had stayed for more than one night then it would have been an issue. I would also think they would discount the price a little bit considering the inconvenience. The rooms were big and clean. Beds comfy.

The rooms were clean. The beds & pillows were soft. Nice touch putting cookies & granola bars out for customers to grab. Staff was very accommodating & friendly. Mexican restaurant right next door so you didn't need to drive anywhere. Safeway grocery store within walking distance.

We always stay here on our way to Reno, always clean rooms and friendly staff. They even have a two rooms suite that sleeps 6. Plenty of room for six people. Good breakfast in the morning to get you on your way.

This property is under construction with scaffolding all over the place. Therefore, there were few places to park. The water in the room smelled so bad we didn't shower. Our relatives who live in Lakeview use Culligan water. The breakfast was very good. There were cookies on your way out that were wonderful . The steel cut oats looked watery but the attendant told me to stir it up. I still didn't think they looked right.

We were on our way home from the Oregon coast and just needed a place to spend the night. The hotel is a bit shabby and worn, but our room was clean. It did, however, have exposed carpet tacks on the floor going into the bathroom. I poked my feet twice. The hot tub heater seemed to be malfunctioning when we were there. It was more of a 'lukewarm tub'. Disappointing. Also, they had Fox News on the TV spouting their hatred and nonsense during breakfast (which was otherwise good). It made us very uncomfortable. Usually the Best Westerns have the politically neutral Weather Channel. This made the staff appear even more unfriendly that we originally thought. Not one of them smiled at us. We got out of there as fast as we could.

So glad to see this hotel after coming out of the dessert from mining for 2 days. So nice to have a clean room, spacious, cable tv, hot showers & pool. Great Breakfast. Counter help very helpful in finding a place to eat. Can park right by the room. Thanks so much.

We visited this BW for one night after a day of driving. From the outside, it appears to be a two-story, cheap motel currently undergoing renovations. Walking into the lobby we were pleasantly surprised by contemporary decor, a comfortable lobby, and the typical BW "welcome" cookies. The room was small, but tastefully decorated and mostly clean. It was odd to stay at aBest Western and find issues with cleanliness, given their high standards. The shower head in the bathroom is very low so anybody average height such as myself (5'11" male) or taller will struggle to shower comfortably. Water temperature and pressure were excellent. Pool is small but clean, and closes at 10:00 PM; the hot tub as well. Breakfast was served from 6-9 AM. We didn't try that but I it's the same as all BW breakfasts, it's good. Price was a little steep for the size and cleanliness of the room and the town it was in. Average overall, it was an alright stay for a one-night stop after a day of driving and we might be back if we need to stop.

At first sight I was disappointed, it is an older motel with limited parking availability, and construction is being done. However, the room was great! Really surprised us when we entered, we were expecting the room to be as dated as the exterior. Modern, great furnishings, comfortable bed, working bathroom. it was a little tight. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Answered all our questions. The breakfast was also more than we expected from the exterior of the motel. Hot foods were hot, great waffles and toast! They food staff were very attentive. Safeway grocery is almost next door so I made two trips for needed items.

This was our third stay at the Lakeview BW. Each time we've stayed, their facility is more updated and comfortable. The breakfast has expanded from yogurt, toast, fruit & cereal to include waffles and a freshly cooked entree. Only suggestion I'd have for upgrades are the bathrooms. The property is clean & the motel employees friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

Other than a very helpful front desk attendant, our stay was not remarkable. The rooms are small and dated -- pretty much what we expected in Lakeview, Oregon. The TV remote came "sanitized" in a baggie, but the carpets were stained.

We got the 3 bedroom suite as we were traveling with our in-laws. It was only $5-10 more and exactly what we needed. Staff were excellent and served us well. They had a diverse breakfast. We booked in advance and I'd recommend that in the summer as it was full.

We arrived to the smell of freshly baked cookies...and there were 5 varieties to choose from. Okay you had me there! Then we found the room to be comfortable, clean, with a large frig (important to travelers) and a well-working air conditioner -- a must in the 100+° heat. The beds were firm memory foam and very comfortable. We slept well! Breakfast was the standard hotel chain fare but done better. Only had the scrambled eggs (which were real, fresh and perfectly cooked) and toast, but there were waffles, sausage, hash browns, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. No English muffins or bagels, but the 5 varieties of bread made up for that. Nice touch was both room temp and cold butter!! Choices are always welcome! Best stay at a Best Western in recent memory. Oh, and more freshly baked cookies at 6:30am...oh yeah...cookies for the road...

I was a little doubtful at check in as the exterior was old and the building was small. When entering our room it was also date but the bed was great, the same comfort as home. The breakfast in the morning was hot and tasty having a variety we had not encountered during the rest of our trip. The town was small and I would rate this hotel as the best in town.

The hotel stay was better than expected. The room was modern, convenient, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was exceptional, and they had a wonderful breakfast selection, including breakfast bars. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the area.

Enjoyed our stay at Lakeview Best Western Skyline Motor Lodge, large clean room that's pet friendly. The pool was great for the kids and the breakfast was a great start for a days adventure. Thanks to the friendly helpful staff and that all goes well for the desk clerk and her baby. Was afraid she might be in labor that night since she didn't feel well.

Very friendly staff. Home cooked breakfast. Ultra comfortable Temperpedic matress. The biscuits and gravy were all homemade as were the hash browns. Only downside is the room did not have a closet but it did have a place to hang clothes. Refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker standard.

I was a little leary of this place, but since there were only a few hotel/motels to choose from in Lakeview I went for it. I was quite surprised and pleased: clean rooms with all the essentials. The staff in the office was more than helpful. Don't hesitate to spend the night here.

Was a little more $ then others in area but well worth it. Bed was a memory foam and very comfortable. Well lit shower (personal peeve of mine for dark showers) Breakfast included sole gluten and dairy free options. Not that you find often. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean,quiet and comfortable. The best bed we've slept in on this combo business/vacation trip. The town of Lakeview is very small but in a beautiful location of fascinating geologic features. Our only suggestion would be to eliminate single serve coffee makers. Many business travelers and those on long road trips prefer to bring their own personal choice of coffee. This is not possible without a carafe style coffee maker.

Very clean room. Smaller than usual but functional. Very large pool. Beds were very comfortable. Stayed overnight and was very rested. The breakfast and staff were very good!! We would definantly stay again!

We always stay at the Best Western Skyline in Lakeview on our way back to Oregon from our winter home in Arizona. It is comfortable, convenient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus they have an excellent breakfast.

When they say breakfast is included, they made an understatement. It was the best breakfast of our entire trip, not the prefab, artificial breakfasts that other hotel chains put before you. It was like home cooked. Made my day.

One of the best on our 6 months on the road. Free breaky included. Comfortable clean well appointed rooms. Quiet with parking at door. Will definitely return. Great job, very friendly. Pets allowed in certain rooms. Pool and hot tub on site. WiFi here was excellent.

We were just passing through on the way home. Found a good Mexican restaurant for dinner nearby. Modern, clean room with everything one needs for a night's stay - fridge, microwave, WiFi, hair dryer, big TV, etc.

There is no doubt that this hotel in the little town of Lakeview, Oregon is very nice. The hotel has nice rooms that are well appointed with small fridge, microwave and hair dryer - all of your standard amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located next door to a good Mexican restaurant for easy walking convenience and offers a wonderful morning breakfast to its guests. What is lacking is the customer service. Staff are brusque. One of the last times I called to make a reservation for my family traveling through Lakeview, the desk clerk was out running errands and no one else was apparenetly qualified to make a reservation. I was informed I had to call back, verus taking my name and number to call me back. I was certainly puzzled. Seriously....leaving a hotel unmanned to run errands? So, if you want a super nice room and conveniences, yet horrible customer service....go for it!

We were on our way to the coast and this was a good midway stopping place. It was a very comfortable room. The room was very clean. We would stay there again if the opportunity presents itself. Local restaurants were within walking distance. They had a decent breakfast though at the time the waffle maker was broken.

I will never stay here again. We walked in and had to wait almost an hour for someone to show up to the desk after we found a maid and asked for help it was very annoying waiting that long after a very long drive, once the lady showed up the front desk she was completely rude to me and my wife, entered my card manually and not erase my information once we left I had to call my bank and put a temporary hold on my card due to unauthorized purchases. Be aware if you stay here.

Great customer service rooms clean breakfast was delicious Great Room, Great Breakfast, Great Service Room was big and very clean. We had everything at the room as they promised/ microwave/ coffeemaker/ refrigerator

ALWAYS a GREAT Place to stop and rest ... we travel a few extra miles to get here ... and it is ALWAYS worth the drive! Great Staff & Great Family Friendly Facility! The staff at this hotel are so nice! Breakfast was best, and rooms were clean and quiet.

Indoor pool The room was very comfortable, clean and the staff was not only professional but friendlyThis hotel was great. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable, we slept very well after a long drive and The staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed at Best Western with our Jeep group. I would stay there again. It is updated and clean. Very comfortable bed. Staff was friendly. It was located in the center of town, close to stores and restaurants.

Nice rooms & very nice pool/hot tub that stays open late. Best place to stay in the region. Nice view of Goose Lake. This location is half way to Lake Tahoe for us & we will stay here again when making a trip to California. jjj

This is a good hotel for this size town. Most importantly, it was clean. Included in the room rate was a very good breakfast buffet. My room was nicely maintained, with all the standard amenities plus a microwave and mini-fridge. Everything in the room worked properly. Nice flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi worked just fine. Located right off the main highway through town, but I didn't notice any road noise. The bed in my room had a memory foam mattress, very comfortable, no foam odor. Nice indoor swimming pool & hot tub, and had a coin-op laundry room. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Lakeview.

New, clean, good breakfast, I loved the breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. Very nice clean place to stay, beautiful room with comfy best bed. The condition of the room and the breakfast was excellent

Our hotel stay was pleasant. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was above what we had anticipated. The bed was a little uncomfortable but I think that's a matter of preference for each individual. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

We usually have very good luck with Best Western hotels. This hotel has been very nice, stayed there two different years. The grounds are well kept, nice pool--but never used it, great continental breakfast options, very clean rooms and great service..

The room was very clean and comfortable with memory foam mattresses on the beds. The hot tub was perfect after a long day on the slopes at Warner Canyon. The morning breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

the BWSkyline Motor Lodge is a very relaxing place to stay the staff are alway very friendly and will help in anyway they can. the lobby is always welcoming. the rooms are clean and comfortable. i would recommend the BW Skyline Motel to anyone

water brown, tastes bad. maid service lacking. last day of stay, hotel ran out of trash bags. office closed at 4 am to get gym key to go of-site to exercise in the morning (they get mad at you). maid staff skips restocking room to save money. Staff is crabby. did not serve bacon at all during my stay (sausage everyday). maid staff missed one day of my 4 nite stay of making bed, vacumning and cleaning tub.

Maid service maid took-off a day (did not clean my room) during my four nite stay. Hotel water is brown, and they give you a bottle of water to drink. Maid staff are lazy. Hotel ran out of plastic trash bags during the last nite of my stay. This place has no in-house fitness center, you have to go off-site to exercise. Mgr, said water has been brown since he was two years old.

First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to go on trip advisor and filling out 2 surveys for the same stay on our property, I would like to address each issue. The water is the city water and it has a lot of iron and magnesium in it so when it comes out of the pipes it has a brownish and yellowish tent to it. Second of all when you checked in you where told the keys to the off site gym was given out between the hours of 6 am and 10 pm. and this is something we don't charge for so if our guest are going to complain about it we could easely turn our keys in and cancel our membership and not have this to offer our guest. And as far as not having plastic bags we are trying to go green, so we are to not use plastic bags at all. As far as the housekeeping not cleaning your room one day we did apologize for this and we offered to come and clean your room and you declined on the offer. Again I would like to thank you for going on trip advisor and filling 2 surveys our for our property. The Manager and staff at the Best Western Skyline Motor Lodge.

A very clean, comfortable and updated hotel. Not something you'd expect in a town as small and out of the way as Lakeview. The hotel was obviously a motor-inn from the hay day of the motel before the interstate monstrosities popped up and drove small places like this out of business. Even so, it was a very pleasant stay. Updated appliances, decor, beds, carpet and all.

I travel to Lakeview often for work and my go to place to stay is the Best Western. Make sure to get a room with a king size bed it's a little bit of heaven. Fridge and microwave, complimentary water, nice size TV with great channel selection. Rooms have lots of convenient plug ins and charging locations I love that. Easy walk next door for a good meal, up town to Safeway or across the street for great coffee.

They say Best Western Hotels are hit or miss. Well this one is a definite Hit. Very clean, and well cared for. room are laid out very well making them easy to get around in. Shower is great with plenty of hot water. I'll definitely be staying here again.

We only had one night here but enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Of course, the chocolate chip cookies on check in might have colored my opinion!! They also kindly made another key when we locked both in the room so they get my vote for being friendly and helpful. Room was clean, towels were fluffy and the shower was great. They had several suggestions for dinner as well.

For a very small town out in the middle of nowhere, you will not find anything better. In fact, it is above average, even compared with its "big city" counterparts. Clean, well-maintained and comfortable. That's all we ask. The breakfast was the weakest link, but that has become standard for pretty much every place that offers the routine "continental" fare.

Comfy King Bed, microwave, flat screen tv, fridge,,,all the thing that make a room great. Problem was the room was so tiny, these items barely fit. I was solo this trip, but would have been crashing into my husband constantly if he had come. Parking is the same way. Tiny. Breakfast was good and above what was advertised. Thanks for a great stay!

They were very friendly and worked very hard to make our stay easier after my daughter received injuries during our county fair. With short notice and a booked motel, we were able to move our room to the ground floor so she could come and rest before her livestock shows. The maids were very quick and did a good job when switching rooms. The beds were wonderful and everything was neat and clean. I will be making reservations again for next year's fair stay.

The Best Western in Lakeview was the first stop on our trip from the west coast back home to Ohio. It was about a drive from Crescent City, Cali - near Redwoods NP. We stayed in Lakeview, because the next place to stop on our route was Winnemuca, Nevada, which was over three hours distant. It is truly isolated. There were no gas stations between the two cities. The BW got the best reviews on TripAdvisor, so we stayed there. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was ok, during our trip we tried to stay at lodging that had buffets. This one did not really stand out.
