« Pleasant Stay at good location »

We stayed at Best Western Plus Brunswick/Bath during prime leaf peeping season, which meant peak rates applied. That said, compared to hotels in the area, this was reasonable for what you get. Standard rooms are outfitted with a desk, tv, and basic appliances. Pros · Front desk staff is excellent. Very friendly, and checkin/out was a breeze. She let us pick where we'd like our room to be. · The included breakfast buffet is fully loaded. Many options of hot food, which was restocked promptly. · Free wifi was easy to access. · Ample parking, easy to get to, good location to get all around the area. Cons · Biggest complaint is that the bathroom counter was little more than the pedestal sink. More space would be nice to lay out bathroom things. · Someone bought blue-tinted light bulbs for the lobby, which gives it a cheaper feeling. Soft-white is the way to go, and would make it much more inviting. · For whatever reason, our appliances (TV, coffeemaker, & mini fridge) were unplugged when we arrived. Great stay - ideal if you want to go foliaging.

    « Nice upgrade »

I stayed at this best western three years ago. Since then they've upgraded the Internet to be much faster and reliable. Their breakfast had definitely upgraded to more appealing options of eggs, bacon, sausage and prepared oatmeal. The rooms were clean, quiet and the salt water pool is a nice amenity.

    « fall foliage »

this was our second time staying here. from the minute we walked in the staff is friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. this i a pet friendly hotel. and i must say the rooms are spotless. they have a hot and cold buffet which has a large selection of food and is delicious. i would highly recommend this hotel. it is close to all kinds of sight seeing

    « Two Night Stay »

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our annual New England trip. Our room was on the first floor and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a short ride to Orr and Bailey Island, Freeport and Portland. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a typical chain breakfast. The only problem was when I checked out my bill was not credited with two $50 Best Western gift cards which I presented at checkin. When I made the desk clerk aware of this I was promptly given a $100.00 credit. I will be back.

« Do not stay here »

Room Keys fail intermittently. The electronic system is clearly flawed. Staff tries hard to help, but it doesn't work. Options are to change rooms (if one is available) or have the staff run up with the master key every time you want to get in. Staff person is frequently not available, since they only have one person working in the entire hotel after 3pm. If you stay here, you will spend all your time managing your room. You might as well stay home.

    « Didn't stay here this trip »

On our Maine trips we usually always try to include at least one night at this hotel, but this week we tried and chose not to. We stopped by late afternoon and asked if they had rooms available, (they did). We told the desk clerk that we had a hotel coupon and were told that they had no availability. Rather than pay the quoted price, we chose to go somewhere else. At 9:00pm I called back and asked if they had available rooms and was told that they did. I guessed they didn't want our business and won't have to worry about it in the future. I don't like being treated like that!

    « Fall Foliage Trip »

We were extremely satisfied with the friendly staff and comfortable, clean room. The Best Western Plus was a very convenient location. We would recommend this hotel to others and definitely stay at this lodging again if the occasion would arise.

    « Very Pet Friendly »

Great location in Brunswick/Bath area. Hotel was very pet friendly with rooms that were on the first floor that had an outside back door in the room to a large grassy area for your pet. Also had a small deck on the back. Rooms were nice, staff was very pleasant.

    « Above Expectations »

Our room was on the first floor close to the lobby, which was great for this mid-60's couple - no stairs or long corridors to navigate. The room was a good size, up-to date, clean and neat, with a relatively quiet heat / AC unit, and the best lighting of any hotel room I can remember, at any price. I usually bring one or two 100 watt equivalent light bulbs with me, but we didn't need them here! Self-serve buffet breakfast had very good selection and quality. My only complaint was that the bathroom exhaust fan was on the same switch as the lights, so we couldn't turn the fan off when we only needed the lights. We were able to park out front about 40' - 120' from the main entrance and lobby, and all was on ground level.

« Great place to stay! »

Stayed here for three days to tour a part of the country I never saw before. The staff was great even though we checked in very late due to some bad gps issues. Room was comfortable, clean, quiet and had great a/c. High speed net was spotty, but I think it was due to outside issues, not the hotel. The staff was warm and friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great, (wife loved the waffles) and food was fresh and hot and plentiful. Really a nice place to stay and I will be back.

    « Much Better than I expected! »

I stayed at this Best Western PLUS for 5 days in September, 2016. I was pleasantly surprised at the price, condition, and breakfast. Let's face it: Best Western's are not at the top tier of hotel chains; with that said, they are not at the bottom either. First, check-in was easy upon arrival. I found the room to be extremely clean and reasonably updated. I spoke to the General Manager a few times in casual conversation (Mr. Nirav Patel) and he said they were in the process of changing-out the room TV's and bed-side lamps (which will have plug-ins for your electronic devices; that said, the existing room was well appointed and clean. You could tell the staff was very well trained and seemed to enjoy working there. That leads me to breakfast. The woman (and I wish I could remember her name!) who oversees the breakfast set-up, was extremely pro-active. She asked guests if they needed anything or "how was your breakfast". She helped young kids prepare their waffle, was extremely nice, and was constantly re-filling breakfast items that were depleted - This woman is a keeper for the hotel and I hope she's paid well and doesn't leave! I would leave her a gratuity which was well deserved. BTW, the breakfast selection was great! The price of this hotel is quite reasonable, and the location puts it in a prime location to travel to many of Maine's sought-after areas. Plenty of on-site free parking and it seems to attract tour groups on a regular basis.

    « Dirty »

Our bed linens had not been changed. Pillow had sweat stain and smelled of someone's unclean head. Toilet was dirty and not cleaned. I would never stay there again. Staff at front desk was nice, but unclean room made my skin crawl for several days.

« Nice for a One Night Stop! »

My family and I spent one night here during our 10-day summer vacation in New England. The hotel is conveniently located off Rt 1 if you are looking to stay north of Portland. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information for local restaurants. My kids liked the indoor pool with waterfalls but luckily we were the only ones in pool at the time since it was kind of small. The room was pretty standard but comfortable. The breakfast was nice, although again, pretty standard. They kept running out of bacon and sausages, even though what they were serving were a little on the dry side. My kids liked making the Belgian waffles and they had sweeter toppings to make them more like a dessert. All in all, we got what we were expecting and it was a nice place to stop to break-up the long drive before heading up to Downeast Maine.

    « Great One-Night Stay »

We stopped here on our way to Acadia for the week and it was a great stay. I had to do a little homework on vacation and needed a quite place to record some voice discussions for online posting. The staff was super accommodating and opened up a quiet room for me to do my homework. They had a great hot breakfast. Only complaint was the wifi was a little weak. Other than that, nice, quiet, clean hotel.

« Card Fraudulence by staff/ neglected by manager »

This hotel charged me with some fraudulent amount of the fee, for the already paid room. The amount wasn't even the same. When I reported this error, the hotel staff never forwarded my call messages to the management. The did not get any response from the management either. After 11 days, as I was pressing hard to my booking website gold desk and the BW hotel, the aggressive hotel manager was put on the phone by my booking website staff. She already lied about their hotel's mistake (or Fraudulence) or lied about contacting me to explain their their mistake. Very dishonest. When I finally agreed to speak to the manager, through my booking website staff's recording, today, 30 days after our stay, the manager, Kerri, changed her story again, from 10 minutes ago, with the my booking website staff. This type of dishonesty explains the previous misbehavior of other rude front desk staff being hostile. After all, I was the victim to go through this unnecessary ordeal this hotel put at my expense of their own mistake. It cost me two visits to my credit card bank for filing for the fraudulence/dispute. All this time, the hotel neither admit their mistake nor apologized for their mistake. The management was flatly unaware of the card fraudulence, or didn't tell me how this issue would be handled. Again, there was no sincere apology for my ordeals. And, the manager put her phone down for 18 minutes while I was talking to her. That was condescending. But, this was all recorded in the booking web agent's call recording. I reported this fraudulent and suspicious act to to raise the red flag seriously. I really hope other guests don't experience what I had to go through. What a nightmare.

« No plus for Best Western Plus »

I spent three nights here. My room was clean and comfortable--a king-sized bed, sitting area, desk, fridge and microwave, and a Kuerig. The bath had only a shower. The downside: 1) the internet is VERY slow, and you need to sign in every few hours; 2) maintenance is an issue. My toilet wouldn't flush. I informed the front desk, but either maintenance wasn't called, or, if it was, nobody showed up. Hence, an unflushed, used toilet awaited the housekeeper. I tracked her down and let her know so she wouldn't be surprised. The pool was murky and there were no towels. The beds are comfortable, and the windows open. The breakfast is the usual scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes, oatmeal and waffles. On two of the three mornings the promised sausage gravy wasn't there. Try to avoid a room that faces front. On two of the nights I was there a semi parked in the lot and starting at 6 am on the first morning, the driver started up his rig to make (I guess) some repairs. Between the obscenity-laden "music" he was blasting as he worked and the gunning of the engine, sleep was not an option. The second night there was another truck, who was much quieter--though still noisy--the next morning. What all of this tells me is the the hotel is almost there. I think it needs a general manager who pays attention to details--have the trucks parked away from guest rooms, make sure the toilets are fixed, have towels at a sparkling pool, correct the breakfast menu or make sure you serve what you say you are serving. In other words, sweat the small stuff. It would raise my review by one star if you did.

« Convenient for Bowdoin visit »

My teenage son and I stayed here one night while visiting Bowdoin. The hotel is a 10-minute drive (or a little less) from Bowdoin, located near a highway intersection and commercial strip (including a nearby Applebee's, where we had a decent meal). The hotel's actual location was a bit set apart from its commercial neighbors, surrounded by tall pine trees, which was nice, and parking near the front door was easy to secure. I was able to get in a morning run along the busy road, which had a wide shoulder -- I felt perfectly safe from traffic. The hotel itself was fairly typical -- the room had the usual things, was clean. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast (included) was ample and tasty, and included things like eggs, sausages, bacon, waffles. The only downsides to note were the pool -- small, humid, not very appealing -- and the small fitness room that was accessed through this pool area. The fitness room was quite warm and we couldn't figure out how to cool it down. My son biked for 5 minutes before the power died on the machine.

    « terrible »

terrible, flies in room, noisy, flashing light in bathroom. bed was uncomfortable, staff did not care about flashing light in bathroom, I would never stay there again find another hotel if you can our room was next to pool, very noisy, asked to move but they could not because it was sold out. find another hotel

    « Outstanding »

We stayed here in July 2016 and was very pleased. We came up for my old Navy Base Reunion and stayed 2 nights. Room was very clean. AC was extremely cold which i loved. Kuerig coffee maker in the room was a plus. They have a Free breakfast which pretty much had everything you could ask for. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back up to Brunswick.

« Rooms clean, Great breakfast »

We stayed here for 5 days in August. My only complaints are there was visible mildew and mold in the shower/tub tiles and joints, the ved was quite uncomfortable and there was a faint odor of urine near one side of the bed. Other than that, the room was clean, they had a fantastic offerring for breakfast and everyone was very kind and helpful. I would likely go back here if my first and second choices were unavailable.

    « Nice hotel »

stayed at this property during a visit to Lobster fest in Maine with my husband and two small children. The room was comfortable and clean. The microwave, coffee maker and fridge were up to date and a necessity for us. Pool was great. Nice breakfast variety in the morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was very friendly.

« Best Western Brunswick, ME »

Expensive, but nice hotel. Good breakfast! No variety in pillow type. I prefer some skinny pillows. These were all the same, and the covers were sparse. Air conditioning and heat worked well, and the machinery was quiet.

« Close to Bowdoin, but would not stay here again »

The hotel is very worn and needs updates. Our room was clean but had worn carpet, cracked bathroom tiles, flimsy spotted towels.... just not a great feeling to it. The price makes it worth consideration, and it's only a 10 min drive to Bowdoin, but if we come back, I will look for another option.

« A Good choice for the passing by travelers »

+ This place was available on the day we were checking in, still in the middle of the Summer Peak seasons. It seems like Brunswick is not hit by the tourist mob, but the passing through guests like us. (?) When we got close to the area, just off Route 1, the GPS picked up the signal, and kept showing the wrong location between the railroad and the cinema marking lot. And, Gurnet road (24) was putting us back to the Route 1 North this time. That was a strange unexpected flat ramp way. So we struggled and approached Gurnet Road and passed this inaccurately GPS-marked hotel location, then, we finally recognize the building past U-Haul site. (?) Their Sign along the road was useless as it was sided with the tree and not visible from the distance. Be familiar with the building shape and the color RED of the BW plus logo. When we arrived at 11pm, the parking lot was almost full. The brief greeting was followed. The accessible room was given but we didn't know that it was right behind their counter. Instead of unloading our bags right then, we parked our car at the farthest corner, where the only space was available, then dragged our bags almost back to the same lobby area. I wish the staff could have advised us of the room location more precisely. + The room was well-appointed, and very clean. The green color accent wall bring more definition in the room, but too much in the corridor. (?) The shower floor was flat with bowed shower curtain rod that dripped the water on to the wrong side of the tiled floor. Once the water leaked outside the shower floor (which was on the same level as the rest of the bathroom floor, the water did not travel back to the shower drain, with the silly plastic strap blocking the returning water. (?) I suggested the front desk to change the shower road, and remove the strap, and they can still have the raised threshold as they have provided the plastic chair already. + The breakfast was simple, but the typical BW standard, good but not better than the other BW Inn at Acadia Park. But, I cannot complain and I am quite pleased with BW standard. + The swimming pool, Laundry, Gym are in the same area, and they are open for the guest, without the discouraging open hour restriction. ++ The location is quite good during the day, with a quick mall shopping if needed, and, close to ?Maine Street? which is the backbone of the town. _______________ Easy booking and easy stay means it will be a confident choice for a traveler passing through the town.

    « Great »

Such a great exterior... As well as the great breakfast we ate everyday. We stayed 3 nights, and the rooms were quite and the staff were polite and kind! So much to do and lots of food nearby. Definitely worth a try...........................

    « Great sleep! »

My best night's sleep all trip topped off by wonderful breakfast with real cooked eggs, homemade hashbrowns, hand cut fruit, bacon/sausage + all the usual these days. I do not like to be hot at night. Slept on the side of the bed nearest the air unit and it was fabulous. Probably a little chilly for some, but you can turn it off/down. Some units don't work in 100 degree weather, but this one worked great!

    « a gem »

this place is lovely. the rooms are spacious, it is quiet, the breakfast is included and terrific! It is REALLY too bad the existing bar, lounge, restaurant isn't open and operating, since the facilities are there.

« Shopping trip with friends »

My friend and I found the hotel to be clean, and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was wonderful every morning with lots of nice options. Great value, tho a bit off the beaten path

    « Good Place »

Breakfast served was the best way to start your day. Hot breakfast to give you energy. I would recommend this place to stay. Good night sleep. Staff are really friendly. Check in was only 5 mins. Check out was just a breeze

    « Better than I expected »

This hotel was much less expensive than others in the area. That always makes me nervous. The reviews were decent so we took a chance. For the money, it was better than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and orderly and didn't have any funky smells. There were good breakfast options with a very kind and attentive dining staff. There was nothing fancy about this place, but it provided everything we needed at a great price. It is a pet friendly hotel, and while it was very quiet, there was fur noticed in the hallways and stairwells. All in all I'm glad I didn't let the low price scare me away.

    « Motel with style »

Just stayed here for one night, hope all my accommodations are as good on this trip.really friendly staff. Sarah at the front desk gave some great restaurant suggestions, places that the locals eat Large clean room. Whirlpool bathtub. Only limited shelf space in the bathroom though. Even a full sized ironing board. Beautiful lobby with very comfortable breakfast area. The coffee maker in the room was a Kurig and they had decaf coffee. All round good experience. Their address , Grumit Rd is really Rt. 24 in Brunswick.

    « Great stay! »

Great property and staff! Beds were comfortable and bath was clean. Breakfast was hot and ready, staff was pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. We stay at Best Westerns whenever possible.

« Great place to stay in Brunswick/Bath area »

Customer service excellent, parking is great with cameras outside for security. Pet friendly and our room offered an outside door with a little grass area for pets. We also had a small deck outside our room with a table and chairs to drink your morning coffee. Room was exceptionally clean. Great to have a bigger refrigerator with small freezer in the room. Price with military discount a little pricey for us but considering the value we are very happy with this motel!

    « Normal Hotel Chain »

This hotel fit the typical hotel chain. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, there is an indoor pool. The room itself was small, and the shower nozzle had too much pressure which made getting a shower not enjoyable. The location of the hotel is not ideal, and is a bit in the middle of no where. Overall, wouldn't have too much of a problem staying here again.

« best western plus brunswick »

this hotel has many positive qualities. the first is the outstanding breakfast buffet served from 6 to 10 every morning. the wonderful selection is constantly being improved. best hotel breakfast we have ever had - anywhere!! the rooms are fairly large and have very comfortable beds and pillows. staff is really outstanding and very caring. they truly go the extra mile to make the experience enjoyable. their indoor saltwater pool is open year round. their rates are competitive, and when you are able to use a coupon, their rates become exceptional.

    « Very friendly »

Friendly staff, clean and nice size rooms. The kids loved the pool. The management staff was excellent. Christina made the morning breakfast the highlight of the day. She welcomed everyone and anticipated guest needs and met the need with a cheerful smile. Highly recommended.

« Hotel fit our needs »

We needed a dog friendly hotel between MA and Bar Harbor and this hotel worked great. Close to restaurants and stores. There was free breakfast and the kids used the gym. Close to downtown Bath and Portland (maybe within 1/2 hour each way). The night we stayed the hotels in portland were $450 and this was $150. Everyone there pleasant and it was a safe place and convenient place to stay.

    « Wonderful Stay »

I love staying at this Best Western Express and will stay there whenever we go to Brunswick. We love the pool, the breakfasts.. The room was prefect, too. The guest staff was very helpful, too. We have family in the area so your hotel is a great place to stay while we visit them. The room is very clean and comfortable.

    « Great stay »

We loved the breakfast. The room was accommodating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was a plus because we went to the zoo before we checked in and the day we checked out we went to Santa's village. We really enjoyed ourselves. Will stay here again.

« Brunswick Best Western "IS" the best! »

Visited friends in Bath, Whitefield, and toured this beautiful area!! Liked it so much we extended our stay two nights. Since nothing is perfect -- the TV programs were not listed by hour or channel and picture often fuzzy -- during 4 of the 6 days we missed getting "USA Today" even though we were at breakfast at 8 AM. Desk attendants were helpful and polite. Yup! I read the paper and watch TV at night so it was a 'little' inconvenient.

« Very nice one night stop off!! »

We called ahead from the Maine Visitors center and spoke with a super nice gentleman who accomodated our family of 4 and our friends family of 4 traveling with us. We got the last two rooms available and the young man at the desk got us towels and rollaways to make us comfortable. ..we thank him very much! ! After a long day of driving this was perfect..the kids swam, we ordered pizza for dinner, slept comfy and had an amazing breakfast the next morning before heading out.

« Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath »

Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath offers a free cooked breakfast and parking. This is a great location if you plan to explore the coastal islands south of Brunswick. The hotel lobby, parking lot, and hotel rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I recommend Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath for its amenities and proximity to surrounding sights.

« Very nice, good location »

Overall hotel experience was very good. Was able to bring two large dogs, nice size room, clean, nice staff. Breakfast buffet was better than at comparable hotels from other chains. Nice location off major highways, and very nice grounds.

    « WI resident »

Very nice place. Clean spacious rooms. Very helpful staff. The breakfast had plenty of choices. There was a nice deck off our room on the first floor. The price was decent and it was very easy to find.

    « Excellent »

Great hotel @ a very good rate. Very clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast varied for gluten free people too. Coffee and juice 24/7 makes this even a greater hotel than any I have stayed at in a long time. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place and deal.

    « Very nice! »

This was a very clean, pleasant pet friendly hotel. The breakfast was very nice and since I was by myself, I felt very safe. My only negative, was that I could hear people talking in the hallway and one night it was quite late.

« Good Choice North of Portland »

If you're visiting the coastal area north of Portland, this is a great hotel in the Brunswick area. The rooms are all recently renovated with comfy new beds, flat screen and free wi-fi, and they have a free full breakfast from 6:00-10:00 am. Just a few minutes from Bowdoin College--check out their art museum if you have the time!

    « Great breakfast »

Nice place to stay. Enjoyed both Bath (a smaller town) and Brunswick. Went to Ft. Popham but was crazy busy because of their spring break. Went to Popham Beach, pretty. Even saw the USS Zumwalt go up the river and dock. JR Maxwell's and Kennebec Tavern offeren great and reasonable food. In Brunswick, a fun Candlestick Bowling Alley on a side street, and Gelato establishment. Loved the breakfast, and would love to come back some time.

« Food and dirt on beds and in drawers »

We stayed here last June and had no problems, so when we returned to visit Bowdoin college with our daughter we didn't think twice and booked again. The room we had was alarmingly dirty. My daughter opened the pull-out sofa; it was covered it what looked like cracker crumbs. I opened drawers and there was dirt/sand/etc in most of the drawers. There was no bedding for the bed. After first bringing bedding, then agreeing to move us when we found the drawers were also dirty, our second room had some lettuce on the couch mattress which the manager saw as we opened the bed. We were brought new bedding and given only 10% off and a few extra Best Western points, not enough for another stay at any hotel. My daughter was so grossed out that she found a friend to stay with at the college the second night; we didn't unpack anything into the drawers and frankly couldn't wait to leave. I don't feel we were compensated adequately; will definitely look for a different place when we return once or twice/year over the next 4 years.

« Great location, excellent breakfast, clean & quiet »

We stayed here two nights and used it as a base for a mini vacation to explore the mid-Maine coast. The location is very good and a short walk or drive to shopping at Cook's Corner. The free breakfast offered is excellent with many choices of hot and cold foods. Indoor pool was nice and front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We paid the extra for a king room with a jetted tub and that made my wife very happy!

    « Vacation Stay! »

Clean room, looked new. Room had shampoo, conditioner, facial & body soap, plenty of towels, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, etc. Breakfast was fresh food, nice choice of food ( choice of hot or cold food ) juice, milk, coffee, etc. Nice room for having breakfast. Good informative main desk staff, very friendly people. Enjoyed the stay & would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Couldn't be happier »

This is my second stay in the last twelve months at the Best Western - Brunswick. I am extremely happy with both the hotel itself and the staff. This has become my regular place to stay when I travel to Maine. When I find a place that is this good, I stick with it and highly recommend it.

    « Recently Renovated & Welcoming »

spent a few days here for a family funeral. Pets welcome for a nominal nightly fee. There is a great wooded area in the back of the building for walking the dogs. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable with a lovely menu of pillows on the bed. Microwave & fridge. did not use the wi-fi but it is very easy to connect to. Breakfast was standard fare. They gave us a room to gather in after the funeral services to show films and share stories. We brought in snacks and drinks. Location is easy access to hiking & biking, Orr's Island, Bailey Island along with Bath & Freeport.

    « Great property »

This is a well taken care of property. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Everything is clean & well decorated. The staff is kind and hard working. The breakfast is very nice. There are many selection and a big comfortable room to sit in. The breakfast gal is efficient & makes sure you have everything you need.

« Our stay in Brunswick Maine »

Our stay at The Best Western in Brunswick Maine was exceptional. The accommodations were so clean and comfortable as well as nicely decorated. We had a suite and there was ample room. The employees were very welcoming as we would want to expect. They are very pet friendly. The extra charge for a pet was not a problem for us as if there were any before us you wouldn't know. We will definitely stay there again.

« Was fine last year (2014), not impressed 2015...Will go elsewhere in 2016 »

My daughter and I stayed here for a swim meet which our swim team booked as a group deal. This was the second time we stayed here and sorry to say, I don't' think we will stay here again due to the conditions this year. When we got to the hotel (late as I got lost), we checked into our room and parked around the side. We entered through the side door. As we did, a somewhat sketchy looking man came out the side entrance for a smoke. As i went back and forth to get my luggage and stuff, the man standing outside reeked of marijuana. Now, I realize this is not not the hotels' fault, still it certainly did not improve my opinion of the place. As we entered our room and settled in, my daughter went over to close the curtains (we were on the first floor with a window out to the parking lot) and she found a cigarette butt on the side panel near the window. She was extremely grossed out and upset. I'm not sure if the staff was in a hurry to clean the room but this got left behind. I disposed of it since I didn't want to deal with the hassle of calling the front desk and having them come down. Needless to say, it was upsetting to her for the remainder of the evening. Other than the bathtub looking a bit worn, it was ok. The breakfast the next morning was fine, which is why I'm rating it average. However, the pot smoking sketchy man standing outside the side door in a hotel filled with teenage and younger swimmers does not bode well with me and the cigarette butt in the room was just gross. We will be looking to stay down the street next year and I will give this feedback to the team hotel coordinator as I do know there are several other hotels in the area we could try in the future.

« Nice place GREAT STAFF »

I can't remember her name but the woman that runs the breakfast room makes you feel like you are eating at her house and she's a great host. The front desk staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face. The rooms are clean the towels were where they should have been and the TV worked. I travel 40 weeks a year for work and realistically the only difference between a 5 star and a 2 star if they're clean is how nice the lobby is, and I don't sleep in the lobby

    « Great stay »

I stayed here one night during a business trip. The room was nice and clean and the staff was courteous. The included breakfast was a good addition. The tub took a bit to drain after a shower but was not bothersome. I would recommend.

« Best Western PLUS Brunswick Bath, Brunswick, MAINE »

There is poor maintenance inside (repair) and outside (weather preparation and care) of hotel, slippery, dangerous, lacking stock and attention to pool area and hideous caulking in 350.00 double queen bed spa bath room

« Great deal for the price - would stay again »

As we grew up in and still have family in the area, we have stayed at a number of hotels over the years. After our stay over Christmas, we are moving this one to the top of the list. I was a bit dubious as it cost significantly less than others we have stayed at so I was concerned it would be not so nice, but we wanted to stay at the same place as my sister and hadn't been that happy at our last place so gave it a try. One of the few negatives was in trying to find it. It was a dark and foggy night. The sign says "Brunswick Bath" in big letters and the Best Western Logo gets lost. We only spotted it as we drove past and had to turn around. People already know they are in Brunswick - we felt the Best Western name should have been prominent. Once we arrived, we found the staff pleasant and helpful. We booked a suite, not much more in cost than a basic room, and were very happy with the size and decor of both the living room and bedroom. Both had large modern (flat) tvs. We were missing a remote for one but as the one worked for both, we didn't bother saying anything. We asked for an extra blanket which was sent up. We used the pool one night and were lucky in that we were the only ones there. When we arrived, we saw no clean towels but a request to the front desk took care of that. There were several pool toys we had fun with. In addition, this pool was the best for doing laps of the any hotels I have been to as it was quite long. The water fountain at the end was a cool feature. The water felt cool at first but once you start moving around, you get warm. We would have loved a hot tub but there isn't one. We had no trouble using the heater, which was located in the bedroom, but note that it does make some noise when blowing. Not a problem for me, but more of an issue for my boyfriend who can be a very light sleeper. He just used the sofa in the other room when it bothered him. Great breakfast - one of the better ones for self-serve. They could use a second waffle maker as people were always waiting on it. We advised early that we might not use all three days and, when we left a day early, we had no trouble. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

    « Shower Issues »

I stayed here three years ago and loved it, not so much this time though. There is wear and tear such as stains on furniture, the mattress was worn, but the worst was the shower. Around the shower head was white plaster creating a real eyesore against the green paint which didn't impress me for the $94 a night this room cost. The tub didn't drain so I stood in about 6 inches of water while showering. We asked the front desk for Drano and they replied it was locked up. I told the attendant when I checked out I was not impressed with the shower and she replied she would fix it for the next guests. That's special and I will NOT be staying here ever again!!!!

    « Quiet location »

Had a great stay here. Very quiet as it was the evening of Christmas day. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable (if you like a firm bed). Would stay here again. Never had the breakfast here so can't comment on that.

    « exceptional stay »

we spent 4 days this December at the best western in cooks's corner in maine. the front desk and dining room staff were outstanding and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. the breakfast was outstanding and the front desk lady (sarah) was the best ever. she is very caring and a warm personality we have spent several days here over the past few years and it is a great place to stay. great beds and great bathroom amenties.

« The Tops in Maine for Breakfast »

Unless you are getting eggs to order you cannot top this Buffet! Fresh waffles (bring your own Maine blueberries), Creamy eggs, sausage, bacon. Fresh vread and cinnamon rolls. Fresh fruit. GREAT STAFF! Leave a tip in the jar for the Breakfast Embassadors.

« Best place to stay in Brunswick »

We have used this hotel for several years for my sons swim team for weekend meets at Bowdoin. The hotel is in an easy to get to location. The hotel is great. The staff is very accommodating and great to work with. I would highly recommend staying at this location.

« great hotel, even better value »

I stayed in a great room with my daughter who's a senior in high school. We both loved the room, amenities and staff. We were on a trip to see a local college. She is interested in attending Bowdoin college. I read great reviews before I booked the room. The location and the price of this hotel were just right ! I would recommend this hotel to others, and plan on returning for a vacation in Maine type trip in the future.

« Light Blanket During Winter »

This hotel doesn't provide warm comforter set during winter. It only has light cotton blanket. We had to set the heater at 74F to keep warm. The heater, made loud noise, started often b/c the setting of heater was at 74F while the outside was frozen. No restful night.

« Great Staff, Great room! »

2 nights here over Thanksgiving was a nice surprise just how pleasant this location and its staff was! The pool was great and the breakfast was very good. The location fit our needs perfectly. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Would most surely stay here again!

« warm, clean and friendly »

lovely location in the woods yet near shops and restaurants- very helpful and inviting staff... delicious breakfast and spacious rooms decor pretty and comfortable beds great place to stay.....enjoyed the entire stay

« Great Staff, Clean and Comfortable Stay »

If you are looking for clean, affordable, a great staff, and pet friendly, this is the place for you. I brought my dog, and I have stayed at many pet friendly hotels that were not very clean, but this place was extremely clean. You would not be able to tell that you were in a pet friendly room. The staff are exceptionally nice, and they go out of their way to make sure that you are well taken care of. We will be back, and thank you!!!

    « Great stay and hotel !! »

We came up for the Thanksgiving holidays. We were there for 5 days. The staff, housecleaning, and maintenance were great. Bri at the front desk was awesome, very helpful, always smiling, Kristine in breakfast area did a super job in keeping everything stocked up for everyone. The Heater didn't work the night we checked in but it was too late for repairs and we were offered to exchange rooms that night but we were exhausted from a long drive so Bri gave us some extra blankets and it was just fine. We moved rooms the next day so the heater/AC could be pulled out and worked on with out interrupting our stay, since we had our dogs with us. The rooms had a mini fridge and microwave. The bed in our first room was more comfortable than the other room bed but after changing rooms we didn't feel like changing again. The breakfast had waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, warm oatmeal with numerous toppings to choose from, fresh fruit, pastries, breads, juices, coffee, yogurts, etc. Everything tasted very good. It had an indoor pool and exercise room, outdoor decking for summertime.

    « Best Western Stay »

Excellent Quality for the money. All of the staff from front desk to the housekeeping staff are pleasant, professional, very courteous. The rooms are very large, there is a microwave and mini fridge in all the rooms. The bathroom are large the room we stayed in had both a tub and shower. There was a seat built in at the end of the tub which made it easy for shaving your legs hahaha.

« So good we stayed another night »

We were on a fall road trip and heading south when we thought we would give this BW a go. Very good hotel, fairly typical of what you expect from the BW brand.Clean, good size rooms, comfortable and very good value. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good and a cut above the typical continental style with hot and cold offerings. The lady that does the breakfast takes pride in what and how she delivers. The dining area was done in a nice decor off to one side at the entry. Great choice if you find yourself on the road and requiring accommodation in this area. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay another night so we could further explore the surrounding coastal areas. Just one thing to note is that dining options outside the hotel appear very limited, we did eat at the Applebees just up the road but didn't see any other options close by.

    « Best Breakfast EVER »

Not only is this BW a deal, Its a Heck of a deal. All rooms are not standard and offer various treats with some different bathroom options. The Best breakfast that can be had short of a chef cooking eggs to order. The Bteakfast Embassadors Kristina and Stacey are SUPERSTARS! I love coming the this BW!

    « A pleasant surprise »

My husband and I needed a place to stay while visiting family in Brunswick and I found this Best Western on Tripadvisor, Our room was large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spotless. The free breakfast was incredible. Food was hot and plentiful. Lots of choices. The desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We will surely make this our place to stay in Brunswick and recommend it to others in the family.

    « Quite reasonable »

Fair price for basic, clean room, quiet location not far from town, friendly staff. Self-service breakfast was better than average for quality and selection. This is more than 200 characters. enough with the minimums!

    « Great Staff! »

This hotel was pretty good. 10 mins. from downtown. Clean rooms, awesome hot breakfast, nice lobby and dining room. All of the night and day shifts personnel, and the two breakfast kitchen ladies were the best I've seen in a long time. Courteous, friendly, and very helpful. I think they should get a raise for the way they work too! Already recommending to friends that are going to Brunswick, Maine for a visit to stay here.

    « a Reward????? stay; some reward »

Nothing I can say will make this a place a PLUS place. The room at $300/night is ridiculous to have on the door ....get real Enough said!!!!! will do once we are settled in FL for the winter at our home there

    « Top Notch! »

I have stayed at Best Western on numerous occasion and always found them just so-so. This particular BW was exceptionally clean with very friendly staff who really seemed to care about giving us a positive experience. The complimentary breakfast was great! I do not eat grains and always have a difficult time finding something on the breakfast bar at hotels. This hotel was not your usual carb loaded cereal and toast here. They served bacon, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juices, waffles, home fries, pastries, etc. There was something for everyone. We did not use the salt water pool but it looked really nice. Also, this hotel was really quiet. If we ever visit Brunswick or Portland, ME again I will definitely stay here.

    « Comfortable stay »

Lobby and breakfast dining areas are beautiful in contrast to the average décor of the hotel room. The bathroom is elegant with a deep tub, allowing you to soak. Large comfortable king size bed in a spacious room. Breakfast is bountiful with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, biscuits, oatmeal, waffles, fresh fruits, cold cereals, assorted juices, assorted breads and pastries, coffee and tea. The laundry facility has two dryers and two washer ($1.50 a load).

« 2 day vacation on the coast of Maine »

The location was obscure and off the beaten path which initially made us a little concerned. In retrospect, the quiet of the location made all the difference and resulted in a very restful stay. We will definitely recommend this particular hotel and we will be back.

    « a bit pricey - average »

a bit pricey - nothing special - a good breakfast - since it is asking me to subit 200 characters - try not take advantage of your tourist who spend money else where in the area as well... its only a room...

« Good breakfast, nice hotel! »

This hotel was recommended by a local we met at a local pub. The hotel was clean, had friendly staff and was well located about a mile or so from downtown Brunswick. There was ample parking and it was located near several restaurants, including an Applebee's which stayed open till midnight. Shopping was right nearby also. Breakfast was above the usual standards and well staffed.

« East coast road trip »

First time in Maine, us west coasters found this place online based on location and reviews... Staff was friendly, grounds were clean, rooms were very clean. Kristina?? at breakfast was super informative... I was looking at the brochures of what to do nearby, and she approached me... I told her what out interests were, and she came back with so much information... She sat down with us like a concierge, and had maps and information printed out for us... We did everything she told us about... Drove down the islands, and went to Freeport for lunch... My only complaint was a member of the housekeeping staff... The hotel rooms were so nice and quiet, and we were sleeping so well... I understand if hotel guests are loud, but at 8;15am she was talking loudly, and not closing the doors next to us quietly, just letting them slam shut... We could hear everything she said from the hallway to our bed. Even a loud belch, and an "excuse me" Again, not a deal breaker, and would stay again for sure.

    « A nice place to stay »

Quiet situation out of town. Good sized room with a walk-in shower and lots of hot water. Breakfast very good, wide choice of fruit, breads, yogurt and hot dishes; the bacon was exceptional. Kristina is doing a great job in the kitchen and dining room.

    « Another Good Stay »

Come back often to this hotel while visiting family nearby. Just barely off the beaten path which makes it nice and quite. Good breakfast and I enjoy the pool. If ai get a chance I drive furthout down the penninsulas to some wonderul Maine coastal spots.

    « Warm and Friendly »

This hotel was in an excellent location for our recent trip. On arrival, check in was very quick and efficient. Nearby were some nice restaurants and some fast food restaurants. The room was large, warm and comfortable.

    « Best Western Plus »

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, no matter how big or small. We had almost 100 guests at our wedding and they accommodating every single one. They provided the most courteous service to all of my guests, and made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the rooms were immaculate, and the Staff (front desk especially) were so helpful and polite. Every time I called to check on reservations and room availability, they went out of their way to assure me things were taken care of. THIS HOTEL WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP MAKE OUR WEDDING DAY AS STRESS-FREE AS POSSIBLE FOR US AS WELL AS OUR GUESTS!! WELL DONE & THANK YOU!!

« Great place to stay »

This was a great place to stay; comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the third floor room where we could open the screened window. It was quiet and good quality. The breakfast area was inviting. The food was very good.

    « hotel »

Everything was great at this hotel. A 4 star experience for sure! Staff was helpful, room very good and breakfast good. I would go back again for sure. We stay at a lot of hotels throughout the country and this one would rate in the top 20 percent. The only drawback is that it is not in an area with a view.

    « Accessability »

All hotels, inns and motels with 50 or more rooms need to have at lease 5% of the rooms made to meet accessible standards. This Best Western has only one accessible room. Their regular rooms are manageable, but the bathrooms are nightmare for a disabled person. Otherwise, this is a truly exceptional property that is squeaky clean, well appointed and laid out. Fantastic breakfast (and staff) with smooth check in check out staff. A pleasure to stay there.

    « Vacation in Bath »

Hotel was nice, Price was reasonable for the area and the location was in the middle of the places that we were visiting. . The rooms had refrigerators. Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this location for a casual stay.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and good. Good location - we would recommend this hotel.
